Hello, Curios.

I've got some quite big news for you because we are finally coming back to your ears with a shiny new series of curious cases.

First episode, you'll find it next week.

But there has been one quite big change.

I've got a new partner in crime.

Hello, that would be me.

Do you recognise that Irish voice?

It's Dara Brian.

Hello everyone, it's a pleasure to be here.

It's a pleasure to have you.

Which I think makes the show both more Irish and more mathematical.

Yeah, good.

Well both of those are good things.

Both of those are excellent things.

Okay, so now you've been inducted.

Can you explain what the show is about?

I mean it's quite random, isn't it?

It really is.

I think we like to sell it.

What's the word we're using now?

I mean, honestly, I like the principle.

People ask a question and then we go deep on answering it and see where that goes.

Oh, yeah.

We're serious about the silly things here, Dara, and silly about the serious things.

I mean, bubbles?

There's an entire episode about bubbles.

There is an entire episode about bubbles.

There's, I mean, not just bubbles, a Brazil-sized raft of bubbles in space.

Come on, that's

why we call it what it is.

We're finally going to expose the five-second rule.

And discover that hygiene experts are absolute filth dogs.

Yeah.

Tardigrades,

invisible moss piglets, what's the shiniest thing humans ever built?

I mean, look, these are your questions, right?

So if you find them ethlectic, it's your fault.

We're not responsible.

Somebody wanted, a whole thing with synesthesia.

yeah what flavor are different tube stations you know they're beginning to confuse in my head now about you know did we do they do they sleep walk is it is it the animals that sleepwalk or do you have to hit them with lightning or you know do the different bubbles the uh i'm getting all the episodes mixed up but I remember them being great.

I remember them being great too.

And you will remember them being great also once you've listened to them starting.

It was great.

I enjoyed it.

Oh, believe me, Dara, the previous 20-odd series have been no more professional than this.

I thought I was here to bring a sheen.

Well, that's all coming up.

Where should people get in contact?

Send us your questions and your stories to curiouscases at bbc.co.uk, and we will be back in your ears next week.

Bye.
