This is the story of the one.

As head of maintenance at a concert hall, he knows the show must always go on.

That's why he works behind the scenes, ensuring every light is working, the HVAC is humming, and his facility shines.

With Granger's supplies and solutions for every challenge he faces, plus 24/7 customer support, his venue never misses a beat.

Granger for the ones who get it done.

So, what do this animal

and this animal

and this animal

have in common?

They all live on an organic valley farm.

Organic Valley dairy comes from small organic family farms that protect the land and the plants and animals that live on it from toxic pesticides, which leads to a thriving ecosystem and delicious, nutritious milk and cheese.

I think this week's was actually number 299, you know it can be a bit daunting to find a topic you're interested in learning about.

So we built Deeper Lore to help nudge you in the right direction.

Think of it as an AI recommendation feature, except I'm the AI.

Actually, I'm not sure that's that's a good or bad thing.

Anyway, some people have wondered, a bit too loudly, I might add, if Deeper Lore is just a gimmick to sell more ads.

No, it's my attempt to help super fans and brand new listeners alike find a way to take their love of a topic and go deeper.

Thus the ever-creative name, Deeper Lore.

This week for episode 263 Elementary, we actually do a bit of a bio pick.

Everyone has heard of Sherlock Holmes, and most people know that those famous detective novels were written by a guy named Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

But far fewer people remember that he sort of lived a double life.

By day, he was writing these very logical stories, right?

The stereotypical detective novels where cold hard facts win the day.

But when he wasn't writing, he was obsessed with spiritualism in a way that few people have ever been.

Given the world that he played in with mediums and seances and all of those pieces, I figured you might want to keep the mood going.

So here are three of my favorite episodes in that theme.

First up, episode 61 Labor Pains covers one of my all-time favorite historical characters.

John Murray Spear was absolutely convinced that he was destined to prepare the way for a new Messiah, so much so that he built a device called the God Machine to do it.

Come for the wacky hybrid of spiritualism and steampunk and stay for the pregnancy and that mysterious ending.

Next, download episode 78 Exposure.

One of the weirdest corners of spiritualism was this thing known as spirit photography.

Do a Google search sometime for Mary Todd Lincoln and the ghost of Abraham Lincoln and you'll see exactly what this is.

And one of the primary characters in this field was a guy named William Mumler.

I really think that you'll love this episode.

And finally, I recommend you go listen to episode 215, Mind Over Matter.

If you can accept that there were rock stars in the spiritualist movement, then you also have to allow for the bad actors, the characters that made waves and broke the law.

This episode is about one such man and the world he lived in.

So, there you go.
