I'm not exactly sure why that is, but this story of one family's tragic loss and another's supernatural gain has a way of hitting me right in the feels. Plus it's darnright creepy.

Conjure up images of sorcerers and witches in your mind, and you're bound to picture them using magic books.

It's a trope that goes back centuries, and much of it came from one specific branch of folklore, grimoires.

These books were used as tools by many people throughout history to claim knowledge that no one else possessed. I love this episode, and I hope you will as well.
