ABC Wednesdays, the Golden Bachelor is all new.
Hi, Mel.
Hello.
Former NFL star Mel Owens is looking for his second chance at love.
I'm hopeful that I'll find true love.
But these women are in a league of their own.
Mel has never been exposed to women like us.
I don't know how he can handle it all.
The Golden Bachelor season premiere.
To love, happiness, and fun.
Wednesdays, 9-8 Central on ABC and stream on Hulu.
Two men accused of planting an incendiary device in Utah are arrested.
The Charlie Kirk show Soldiers On, and New York City mayoral frontrunner Zoran Momdani gets a major endorsement.
I'm Georgia Howe with Daily Wire executive editor John Bickley.
It's Monday, September 15, and this is Evening Wire.
Two men are now behind bars after allegedly planting an incendiary device under a news vehicle in Utah.
Daily Wire senior editor Joel Niedler has more.
According to the FBI, the device, which failed to ignite, was discovered in the Salt Lake City suburb of Magna.
Officials say 58-year-old Adib Nasir and his son, 31-year-old Adil Justice Ahmed Nasir, will face terror-related charges.
During a raid, federal agents say they uncovered firearms, bomb-making components, and illegal drugs, despite both men being barred from owning weapons.
The FBI calls the discovery, quote, a significant threat to public safety.
Fox 13, whose news vehicle appears to have been the target, says protecting employees is now its top priority.
The incident comes just days after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated 47 miles away, deepening fears of unrest in the state.
New DNA evidence has officially tied the suspect in Charlie Kirk's assassination to the scene of the crime.
Here's what FBI Director Cash Patel told Fox and friends.
And I can report today that the DNA hits from the towel that was wrapped around the firearm firearm and the DNA on the screwdriver are positively processed for the suspect in custody.
Patel also confirmed the existence of a written note from the suspect.
The written note we believe did exist.
The suspect wrote a note saying, I have the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I'm going to take it.
That note was written before the shooting.
Even though it has been destroyed, we have found forensic evidence of the note and we have confirmed what that note says because of our aggressive interview posture at the FBI.
Authorities say Robinson fled by jumping off a roof at Utah Valley University, ditching the firearm in nearby woods.
He's now under special watch and custody, but investigators say he is refusing to cooperate.
Vice President J.D.
Vance guest-hosted the Charlie Kirk Show today in honor of his fallen longtime friend.
The VP announced the development Sunday, writing on X, quote, Tomorrow I will have the honor of hosting the Charlie Kirk Show.
Please join me as I pay tribute to my friend.
The show aired at noon.
Here's how the vice president started it off.
Hey, everybody, J.D.
Vance here, live from my office in the White House complex and filling in for somebody who cannot be filled in for, but I'm going to try to do my best, my dear friend, the great Charlie Kirk.
The last several days have been extremely hard for our country.
They've been hard for me.
hard for my family, hard for the countless people in this building who knew and loved Charlie Kirk.
And of course, they've been hardest most of all for his darling wife, Erica, and their two beautiful children.
The thing is, every single person in this building, we owe something to Charlie.
He was a joyful warrior for our country.
He loved America.
He devoted himself tirelessly to making our country a better place.
RFK Jr.
credited Charlie Kirk with orchestrating his team up with President Trump.
Speaking to a massive crowd at a prayer vigil last night, Kennedy described Kirk as a friend and a defender of liberty.
He ended up being the primary architect of my unification with President Trump.
The overarching mission of Charlie Kirk was
Jesus, but also free speech, and he saw them as intertwined.
He also told the story of his niece packing her Bible for college.
When asked about it, she said, quote, I want to live like Charlie Kirk.
The Emmys once again got political Sunday night, but not a single person mentioned the assassination of Charlie Kirk, not even in a call for unity.
The absence was glaring enough that even the left-leaning Hollywood reporter called the total silence on Kirk, quote, surprising.
But while the Hollywood elite blackhold the murder that's shaken the nation, they did find time to take shots at ICE and Israel.
Here's how hack star Hannah Einbinder, who won Best Supporting Actress in Comedy, ended her speech.
I just want to say, finally, go birds,
ice, and free Palestine.
Thank you.
Meanwhile, Stephen Colbert, who won the Emmy for Outstanding Talk Series and whose show is being canceled next year, told America to be brave.
Sometimes you only truly know how much you love something when you get a sense that you might be losing it.
I have never loved my country more desperately.
God bless America.
Stay strong, be brave, and if the elevator tries to bring you down, go go crazy and punch a higher floor.
Woo!
Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro appeared on Bill Maher's Real Time over the weekend, during which the two sparred over religion and the Bible.
When Maher tried to dismiss the Bible's relevance, Shapiro argued that whether he was aware of it or not, it was absolutely central to his own moral development.
So, Bill, you and I agree on morality.
I'd say like 87%.
But not from the Bible.
I have a question.
Why?
Why do you and I agree on morality like 87.5%?
i'm a religious jew you're an atheist why do we agree on those things i'll tell you i mean i can give you my answer yeah please because we probably grew up a few miles from each other in a western society that has several thousand years of biblical history behind it and so you can think that you hit that triple and you formed your own morality but the reality is you were born morally on third base no we
President Trump said Governor Kathy Hochl's endorsement of Mom Donnie for the New York City mayor's race is a very bad development for New York.
Daily Wire reporter Zach Jewell has the
Trump said that there's, quote, no reason for the federal government to send New York any more funding, adding that, quote, Washington will be watching the situation.
Hochl's endorsement is a big win for Momdani, as other high-profile New York Democrats, such as House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, have yet to throw their weight behind a candidate.
Momdani, a socialist, is leading in the polls with former New York Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo, current NYC Democratic Mayor Eric Adams, and Republican candidate Curtis Liwa falling far behind.
Trump admitted last week that it appears Momdani is headed for a victory in the race.
President Trump has threatened to declare a national emergency if D.C.
police refuse to comply with ICE.
During the administration's 30-day takeover authorized under the Home Rule Act, D.C.'s Mayor Mural Bowser did tell police to cooperate with several branches of federal law enforcement, but she left out immigration authorities.
The Trump administration's emergency authority in the district expired last week, but the president vowed on Truth Social this morning that he would, quote, call a national emergency and federalize if necessary.
A Dallas motel manager was attacked and beheaded in front of his wife and son last week.
Daily Wire reporter Amanda Press Dijacomo has the latest.
The suspect has been identified as Jordenes Cobos Martinez, a Cuban national with a lengthy criminal history.
The victim was 50-year-old Chandra Mouli Nagamalaya, an Indian man who moved to the U.S.
in 2018.
The dispute was reportedly over a washing machine and was exacerbated by a language barrier.
President Trump blasted Cobos Martinez on Truth Social Today, saying,
This individual was previously arrested for terrible crimes, including child sex abuse, grand theft auto, and false imprisonment, but was released back into our homeland under incompetent Joe Biden because Cuba did not want such an evil person in their country.
Rest assured, the time for being soft on these illegal immigrant criminals is is over under my watch.
Nearly 200 House Democrats voted against a measure to heighten prison sentences for immigration violations.
The Stop Illegal Entry Act would require five years to life in prison for an illegal alien who commits a felony after entering the U.S.
and raises the maximum sentence for illegal entry.
Democrat Representative Laura Gillen from New York described the legislation as common sense and told Fox News Digital, quote, Americans overwhelmingly agree that violent criminals without legal status have no place in our country and should be held accountable to the full extent of our nation's immigration laws.
11 Democrats did vote with Republicans to pass the bill on Thursday, but 197 Democrats voted against it.
The Trump administration says they are close to reaching a deal with TikTok.
The app has recently become a bargaining chip in tariff negotiations, but even before tariffs were announced in 2025, U.S.
lawmakers had demanded the app's Chinese owner, ByteDance, sell to the U.S.
or face a ban.
The ban was due to take effect this Wednesday, but now will be avoided.
Details of the deal are expected to be announced in a press conference Friday.
President Trump is calling for a massive change in quarterly earnings reports, removing the quarterly entirely.
The president argued in a post on Truth Social this morning that reporting every six months would, quote, save money and allow managers to focus on properly running their companies.
The change was floated during the first Trump administration, and it bucks a 50-year practice for publicly traded companies.
The Securities and Exchange Commission has indicated openness to reducing regulation.
And Elon Musk just purchased a billion dollars worth of shares in Tesla on Friday, leading the stock value to jump this morning.
This comes as Tesla shareholders consider a new pay package for Musk and seems to signal Musk's personal investment in the company.
As we've previously reported, the new pay package could make Musk the world's first trillionaire if all benchmarks are hit.
The vote is set for November.
All right, those are your drive-home updates today.
