Speaker 4 The death toll rises following a fiery plane crash in Louisville. Houston police openly recruit from the NYPD and Zoran Mamdani's victory party gets hacked.

Speaker 5 At least nine people are dead after a UPS plane crashed near an airport in Louisville, Kentucky on Tuesday evening. Daily Wire reporter Zach Jewell has the latest.

Speaker 6 UPS UPS issued a statement confirming that the crash occurred at approximately 5.20 p.m., adding that three crew members were on board.

Speaker 6 One of the plane's engines appeared to catch fire as it was taking off before it crashed into multiple businesses near the airport.

Speaker 6 Mayor Craig Greenberg told Fox News this morning that at least nine people have died and warned that the number could rise. 16 families are still waiting to hear news of missing loved ones.

Speaker 7 I was at the family reunification center, and there were more families of more individuals than that that they were still looking for and seeking information on.

Speaker 7 So we expect that the amount of fatalities may rise throughout the day. I was simply there to provide support to all those grieving families that are searching for answers to let them know.

Speaker 7 We have first responders, the coroners, and others that are on the scene working to get them as much information as soon as possible.

Speaker 6 Videos posted on social media showed a massive explosion after the crash with plumes of smoke rising into the air.

Speaker 6 Officials issued a shelter-in-place order order for people within a five-mile radius of the airport. And since the plane was on a long trip to Hawaii, it was fully fueled.

Speaker 6 Secondary explosions went off after the plane went down and crashed into a petroleum recycling center and an auto parts shop.

Speaker 4 In Tuesday's elections, Maine voters approved a referendum for a red flag law. The law will allow certain family members and law enforcement to ask a court to issue an extreme risk protection order.

Speaker 4 The order would block a person from being able to purchase a firearm for a year, so long as the applicant can prove that the person is a significant danger to themselves or others.

Speaker 4 Maine residents also voted down a referendum that would have put in place a voter ID requirement for state and local elections.

Speaker 4 The measure included some reforms as well, such as no automatic renewal for absentee voting and banning requests for absentee ballots by phone or by family members.

Speaker 5 Voters in Texas approved 17 constitutional amendments that covered issues from parental rights to property taxes.

Speaker 5 Included in the slate of amendments are bans on a state capital gains tax and a state inheritance tax, a requirement on judges to deny bail for certain felonies, and greater protections for parental rights.

Speaker 4 Speaking of Texas, a major police officers union there is now openly recruiting NYPD officers after the election of Democratic socialist Zoran Mamdani as their city's mayor.

Speaker 8 The Houston Police Officers Union is aiming to recruit NYPD officers disaffected by Tuesday's election of Mamdani.

Speaker 8 The union released an ad on Tuesday asking officers flat out, NYPD, are you disgusted with the election of Zoron Mamdani?

Speaker 8 Mamdani has pledged to replace police officers with mental health professionals to respond to certain crisis situations across the Big Apple.

Speaker 8 He previously called to defund the police, but has attempted to backtrack on that during his mayoral campaign.

Speaker 8 He's also pledged to champion the sanctuary policy that's hamstrung local police and prevented them from handing illegal immigrant criminals over over to ICE.

Speaker 8 Houston Police Union President Doug Griffith told Fox, quote, we believe socialism is going to be bad for law enforcement in New York City.

Speaker 8 There's opportunity here in Houston for officers to come make a great life for themselves.

Speaker 5 Meanwhile, in North Carolina, the Democrat mayor of Charlotte won re-election in a landslide. That's despite all the outrage over the violent stabbing of Irina Zarutska on the city's transit.

Speaker 9 Democrat Vi Lyles won more than 70% of the vote over Republican challenger Terry Donovan in yet another election, solidifying the Democrats' control over Charlotte, going back some 16 years.

Speaker 9 While a Democrat winning the most powerful seat in the city isn't shocking, the fact that the massive controversy over the horrific murder of Zarutska doesn't appear to have hurt Lyles at all has raised some eyebrows.

Speaker 9 Video of the fatal stabbing of Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee, by DiCarlos Brown Jr., a 34-year-old with more than a dozen arrests, went viral and sparked renewed debate over public safety in the city.

Speaker 4 An outbreak of the foodborne illness Listeria has left 25 hospitalized and six dead, including the death of one unborn baby.

Speaker 5 A month after calling on citizens to take up arms against drug traffickers if the federal government didn't take more action to stop them, the mayor of Aruapan, Mexico was assassinated.

Speaker 5 Mayor Carlos Alberto Monzo was shot to death over the weekend in front of thousands of people during a candlelighting celebration on the eve of the Day of the Dead.

Speaker 5 A police officer and two city employees, including a councilman, were also wounded.

Speaker 5 As Border Report notes, the assassination has sparked protests and prompted Mexican news outlets to question whether the government or drug cartels control the streets and large swathes of Mexico.

Speaker 4 The majority of Tennesseans approve of President Trump's decision to send the National Guard to crime-ridden Memphis. Daily Wire assistant editor Andy Valdez has more.

Speaker 12 The Beacon Center of Tennessee released a new poll on Wednesday that found that 63% of Tennessee voters approved of Trump's deployment of the Guard. Just 33% said they disapproved.

Speaker 4 The government is moving to temporarily suspend Sheehan's website as French prosecutors investigate the Singapore-based company over these items.

Speaker 4 Sheehan stated that the childlike sex dolls were sold by third-party retailers on the platform rather than the brand itself.

Speaker 4 The move comes within hours of Sheehan opening its first brick-and-mortar location in the heart of Paris. Customers and protesters alike gathered for the event.
