Welcome to the Level Up Podcast. I'm your host, Paul Alex.
I went from being a cop to an eight-figure entrepreneur that helps average people like you and me make money every single day. I created this podcast to help you get motivated and to crush your goals.
Let's win together. Remember, I have your six.
Get ready to level up right now. What's up, everybody, and welcome back to the Level Up Podcast.
I'm Paul Alex, and today we're going to be hitting a real topic, how to keep going when motivation runs dry. Let's be honest here, guys.
Motivation comes and goes. It's like a spark, not a fuel source, okay? So if you're relying on motivation to keep you moving, you're already setting yourself up to stop.
So how do you keep going when that spark fizzles out? Let's get into it. First, focus on discipline over motivation.
Discipline is what gets you out of bed when you don't feel like it. When I was working 80 hours plus as a detective in law enforcement and building my first business on the side, I wasn't motivated every day, guys.
I'm gonna be honest with you. I was exhausted, I was tired, but I had the discipline to show up because I knew my why.
Motivation, make sure to check out my YouTube channel, officialpaulalex.com, for more motivational episodes, is fleeting. Discipline is permanent.
So second, remind yourself of the bigger picture. When you feel like quitting, remember why you started.
For me, it was about creating freedom, time freedom, not just for myself, but for my family. So when I thought about the life I was building, quitting wasn't an option.
Your goals are bigger than your feelings, guys. You gotta stay connected to your purpose and push through the moments when you wanna stop.
And lastly, you have to break it down into small wins. Motivation motivation runs dry but when you're only focused on the big overwhelming goal instead what you need to do is set small achievable milestones guys you got to celebrate those wins you got to use them to fuel the momentum progression no matter how small keeps the engine guys.
So what's the bottom line here?
Motivation is great, guys,
but discipline, purpose, and small wins
is what kept me going in the game,
and it's gonna keep you going in the game as well.
Don't let the lack of motivation stop you
from becoming the person you're meant to be in life, okay?
So thanks for tuning in to Love Well Podcast.
I'm Paul Alex, reminding you
that motivation gets you started, guys,
but discipline keeps you going. You gotta to stay focused.
You got to stay relentless. And as always, keep leveling up.
