Speaker 13 Mariposa Benitez, a founder of Meet Lali, a grassroots organization working with migrants, says on Tuesday, ICE agents detained Martha and her two children at 26 Federal Plaza.

Speaker 13 One of Martha's sons who lives in Queens and requested we not share his image or name out of fear, says he felt destroyed when he found out his mom, his six-year-old sister Dyra, and his 19-year-old brother Manuel were detained.

Speaker 13 He says he really misses his mom.

Speaker 13 Benitez says Martha and Dyra are now at an ICE detention center in Dilley, Texas, and Manuel was transferred to the Delaney Hall detention facility in Newark, New Jersey.

Speaker 14 I'm a licensed clinical social worker, and the impact of family separation on their mental health is something that they will not be able to recover from in many years to come.

Speaker 13 The Department of Homeland Security released a statement, writing in part: Martha and her children entered the U.S.

Speaker 13 illegally in December of 2022 and wrote, They have all received final orders of removal from an immigration judge.

Speaker 13 Martha's boyfriend says he spoke with her recently and says she's afraid of being deported and of the gangs in danger back home.

Speaker 13 Dyra is believed to be among the youngest students detained by ICE in New York City.

Speaker 13 Martha's son says he feels helpless, and the most painful part is not knowing when he'll be reunited with the rest of his family again.

It's the third time this same exact car wash has been targeted. The U.S.

Speaker 10 citizen said, I remember, I thought I was going to die. Agents shot tear gas at him, tackled him to the ground.
You can hear him yelling out, I can't breathe, I can't breathe.

Speaker 10 As they pinned him to the ground and beat him and tried to beat him to death, he insists he did not assault anyone, and video proves it.

Speaker 10 Isaac Dominguez explained that he clearly pumped fake throwing a water bottle, but he didn't actually do it. This is the third time the car wash has been targeted.

Speaker 15 Tonight, the man ICE agents are seen arresting at an Anaheim car wash in this video, speaking out after walking free just hours later.

Speaker 15 33-year-old Isaac Dominguez admitting he did fake throw a bottle at federal agents while they were conducting their Operation Saturday, which he believes made him a target.

Speaker 17 the agent then pointed me out out of the whole crowd, right?

Speaker 17 And chased me.

Speaker 15 This video shows several federal agents trying to detain Dominguez and shooting off tear gas. In it, you can hear Dominguez calling for air.

Speaker 15 Dominguez maintains he was not attacking the agents.

Speaker 17 They were saying that I assaulted a federal agent,

Speaker 17 but after going over the video,

Speaker 17 I hadn't assaulted anybody. You guys leave! You guys leave!

Speaker 15 This is the third time federal agents have descended on the Euclid hand car wash in Anaheim.

Speaker 15 The first two times on July 3rd and July 8th, management says ICE agents took a total of six of its employees. But this time, management says they didn't detain any.

Speaker 15 Only Dominguez, who does not work at the car wash and is an American citizen.

Speaker 17 They're violating all kinds of civil rights, man. You know, I've always been been one to,

Speaker 17 and not to sound like a hero, but I've always been one to stand up for the little guy. And

Speaker 17 it being close to home, that being my people, I felt I didn't think. I just had to do something about it.

Speaker 15 Once in custody, Dominguez says he was taken to a holding point in Santa Ana, then released after about six hours with no paperwork, no court date, and no word on potential charges filed.

Speaker 15 But Dominguez says he did walk away with a new perspective. I knew the risk.

Speaker 17 Even Even in being there, I'm never going to blame anyone else. That's why I don't have an extravagant story for you.
I believe that I was put in that position.

Speaker 15 Now, we have been reaching out to DHS over the last two days to find out more about this Anaheim car wash ICE raid and to get clarity on why Dominguez was taken into custody.

He has a legal work permit.

Speaker 10 ICE smashed the windshield of a Connecticut man, Ricardo Chavez, who had a legal work permit.

Speaker 10 They chased him, they tased him, and shoved him bleeding into an unmarked car as he was bleeding out, despite demanding a warrant and explaining his daughters were right there.

They left his wrecked truck in the street for his daughter to deal with.
