The people in Chicago are rising up and peacefully protesting against the Trump regime's threatened invasion of their city by the United States military.
We saw protests just like the one I showed at the beginning of the video all week as Chicago say no to a military occupation of their great city.
And Illinois Governor J.B.
Pritzker has been standing up against the Trump regime.
The Trump regime is launching something called Operation Midway Blitz.
They give it a name like they're going to war because they are going to war, this time with American cities.
That's what the Trump regime is doing.
As Donald Trump looks weaker than ever, physically, externally, emotionally, I mean, you saw him this week, right?
With the face drooping at that 9-11 ceremony at the Pentagon, whether that was bell palsy or stroke-like symptoms, or whether it was something related to what may be those cardiovascular symptoms or his hand decomposing before our eyes with those massive ankles of his at this point, which the White House is.
It just goes he shakes a lot of hands.
I'm not a medical expert, but there are a lot of medical experts who have opined that this could be serious cardiovascular and orchid and or liver and or mini strokes or something, but it's clearly happening before our eyes.
Former President Joe Biden looks like an Olympian athlete compared to Donald Trump, but I digress.
Going back to Donald Trump trying to act like a tough guy while he physically decomposes and deteriorates before our eyes.
Donald Trump launched an Operation Midway Blitz in Chicago.
And then yesterday we learned that ICE agents fatally shot a man after a traffic stop in Franklin Park in Chicago as part of their Operation Midway Blitz.
According to ICE, the man kept on driving when they tried to access his vehicle.
And then an ICE agent said they feared for their lives, so they had to shoot and kill this individual.
That's what they're saying.
They feared for their life.
When you're wearing masks and you try to kidnap people, people are going to be scared and you may get reactions that you may not want because you're kidnapping and disappearing humans off the street.
It should also be noted due to some great work by citizen journalists, we're seeing more and more of the ICE agents out there on the streets wearing Trump pins.
Pins with Donald Trump's face on it.
Now, last week I reported an incident where an individual identified a Trump pin, and now we're seeing it more and more.
I'm not sure if this is the required dress code, if they are being pressured or if this is what they're told to do, or they're showing, well, they're getting these signing bonuses to join ICE and disappear human beings, or this is what they've fantasized their whole life, joining ICE to destroy human beings' lives, some of these despicable people.
Well, take a look right here at an ICE facility in Broadville, Illinois.
This was captured by the People's Fabric.
Great work to them for capturing this.
You had a protester playing a little bit of rage against the machine at this detention center, at this facility in Broadview, Illinois.
And you'll see some of the ICE agents come out.
This person had a lawful ability to stand where they were standing.
And then ICE starts screaming and threatening.
The person stands their ground.
Look carefully at the office, at the ICE agent.
You'll see he's wearing a Trump pin, a pin of Trump's face.
Here, watch this.
Get off the property.
Stay on the sidewalk.
Zoom in.
Do you see Trump's face right there?
Again, this violates the Hatch Act, every law imaginable, in my opinion.
But that's what Trump's doing.
He wants to have his personal army to make himself look like a tough guy.
Now,
I hate this headline by CNN, but I'll describe what's really happening.
They go, Trump shelves Chicago crackdown plans for now as advisors warn of legal headaches.
Trump shelved his plans to target Chicago as the next city for his domestic crime push after advisors warned him that sending in troops could create legal headaches they want to avoid.
Sources familiar with the matter told CNN, but you're still using Donald Trump's language.
Crackdown.
No, military invasion.
to the crime push.
Chicago has lowered their crime.
If you want to do a crime push, though,
I think governors would welcome crime pushes.
You know what you would do?
You would bring more FBI agents to join task forces.
You'd invest in law enforcement.
Governors welcome that.
I spoke to Governor Newsome.
I've spoke to Governor Pritzker.
I spoke to Governor Moore.
I spoke to lots of governors.
They would, from what they've told me, as I understand it on the shows that you've seen, if you want to bring more FBI agents and do actual law enforcement, invest in local and state police forces, all for it.
But people in the United States don't want the military who's not trained in civilian policing to rove the streets with their military weapons like in dictatorships.
That's just not what we have in the United States.
But sure, invest more money in law enforcement.
That's not what Trump's doing.
He wants to bring Marines and National Guard to march through cities like a dictator.
Now, I want to pivot just for a moment, a little bit more than a moment, and I want to talk about what else is going on here.
Donald Trump destroying the economy this week, destroying the American dream.
His trade war against the world has been an utter disaster.
I'll give a hat tip to Axios right here.
They did a good interview with Trump's commerce secretary, Howard Luttnick, and the Axios reporter asked Luttnick.
Great questioning here, by the way.
Inflation is the highest since 2021.
Manufacturing activity has shrunk.
Unemployed workers exceed job openings.
If this was happening when Biden was in office, you'd be on Fox every day complaining.
So Howard Luttnick, so Trump regime, what's your response?
And Howard Luttnick goes, well, it's not our economy until 2026.
That's when it becomes the chump economy.
It's not the economy until 2020.
And then the Axios guy goes, what do you mean?
It doesn't work that way.
And by the way, Luttnick said when there was a decent GDP number a few weeks back, or I mean, a month or two back, Lutnick's like, now it's the chump economy.
And now, now it's not the chomp economy.
The guy's a two-bit snake oil salesman, is what he is.
Here, watch this clip.
Inflation in August ticking up to 4.3%, the highest since 21.
Manufacturing activity shrank in August, six months running.
Unemployed workers exceeding job openings.
If Biden had numbers like that, you'd be on Fox saying, What's going on?
So, the economy that Donald Trump owns starts at the end of this year.
You can't get
this Ryan Croswell post.
Promise made, promise broken.
Food at home rose 0.6%
just from July to August.
That's the biggest month-over-month increase since August 2022.
Meats, poultry, fish, and eggs rose 5.6%.
So, whatever growth Trump claims from his insane trade war, it's us everyday Americans who are paying the price.
But let's also be real.
What Trump claims in terms of growth isn't happening.
The deficit is hitting record highs.
The deficit last month was like 350 billion.
We're on track right now for an annual deficit of this fiscal year to be about $2 trillion.
That's more than the previous fiscal year when Biden was in office.
That's not good data.
So even with Trump forcing American people to bear the brunt of taxes called tariffs, there's still a massive deficit taking place as Donald Trump is spending a ridiculous amount.
Last month, what?
Expenditures?
Money going out was about, what, $600 plus billion dollars?
What?
To all of this ridiculous ice and building ballrooms and Trump golfing all the weekend.
They're spending it on the dumbest, stupidest stuff imaginable and the deficit skyrocketing.
Why do you think they had to raise ultimately the debt ceiling as well?
Because of their reckless spending and they need to keep going and borrowing and borrowing and borrowing because we're spending more than we're taking in by far.
And then Trump claims that he brought in $17 trillion.
17, where's the money if we're running massive month over month deficits bigger than the deficits under biden?
Where are the deficit hawks?
Remember all the bagger Republicans?
They're hawks.
And then the media calls them hawks.
That's my hawk impression.
What makes you hawks?
Y'all are the most fiscally irresponsible people.
Every time there's a Republican administration, they like lose jobs or there's no jobs.
And the debt skyrockets and the deficit increases.
Then the Democrats come in, they try to fix it, and then they're blamed for it.
And then the hawks, qua qua, they come in, and then the press is all like the hawks are coming in.
Stupidest labels.
Like, can we just recognize what the hell is going on here?
Because
people are feeling it right now.
Job finding is the risk in the labor market.
According to the New York Fed survey, the mean probability of finding a job if you lose one today plunged to 44.91%,
a level never before seen in the history of the New York Federal Reserve's survey.
JP Morgan says this week's U.S.
inflation report reinforces our view that tariff-related price pressures are building.
Recent softening in job growth is now weighing on labor income, a dangerous development at a time when an increase in U.S.
inflation is poised to squeeze household purchasing power.
A lot of big words and euphemisms there.
But what that means is that we're just at the beginning.
We're not at the end.
Tariffs are going to cause inflation to skyrocket.
Squeeze.
People are not going to be able to afford it.
Squeeze.
People are going to suffer.
Squeeze.
People are not going to be able to pay their credit card debt.
They're not going to be able to pay their mortgage squeeze.
People are going to suffer.
That's what that means.
Let me just break that terminology down for you all.
Hotel occupancy was weak over the summer months, likely due to less international tourism.
Who would have thought that their international tourism would be down when you start arresting people and throwing them in concentration camps and attacking the sovereignty of countries like Canada and countries in Europe and countries across the world.
Who would have thought that tourism would go down?
Hmm, interesting.
California trucking firms are going bankrupt, fueling a wider industry fear.
No recovery from years-long slump in sight as imports, factory activity, and other drivers of demand sag.
America's trucking companies are battling one of the longest freight slowdown executives can remember.
When you start seeing those guys go out of business, that's a barometer of the health of logistics in America.
You want to go back to April, even before that, March.
You want to go back to the Midas Touch reports when I was saying freight, freight, freight.
Look at the freight.
Look at the shipping routes.
Look at what's happening at the docks.
Look at what's happening.
Remember, I did all those stories on it when corporate news wasn't covering it.
And now the impacts are being felt.
They were being felt then, but you know, American corporations, big, small, medium-sized, we're scrappy with it.
We're scrappy with it, right?
We try to do our best to survive, hoping, hoping that there would be some rationality that could come out of that White House, even though we know there wouldn't be.
And no, they just made it worse.
So then the bankruptcies, the bankruptcies, the bankruptcies, or companies scramble.
We got to raise our prices.
We got to raise our prices.
Then the consumers feel.
we stop shopping.
Bankruptcies, bankruptcies, bankruptcies.
Consumers incur more debt, more credit card foreclosures.
Credit is getting damaged.
It's obvious to know what is happening here.
Take a look at this chart before.
University of Michigan consumer sentiment among ages 18 to 34 versus overall consumer sentiment.
When it's green, it means younger people are more optimistic than the general public.
In 30 years, we've never seen this sustained relative gloominess among young people.
What's interesting, too, is if you look at the fall of the prime minister in Nepal, you've been following that story over there, one of the things that led to the people toppling.
That prime minister and the elites right there was that all of the wealthy Nepo babies were on TikTok and social media posting about their lavish lifestyles.
The politicians' offspring were out there bragging about how rich they are.
Just fascinating to me as I think about Club Rose Garden that the Trump regime is launching.
The fancy ballroom.
They're using our tax dollars to fund Club Rose Garden, to fund fancy ballrooms.
That's what they're doing right now.
Or to purge the military of anybody who may have in their life posted anything negative about Charlie Kirk for real.
Pete Hegsip, Secretary of Defense, who unlawfully refers to himself as Secretary of War because he's got a very
small sense of himself.
Let's leave it at that.
Tells the Pentagon staff to hunt for negative Charlie Kirk posts by service members.
I can't remember anyone ever telling me we can say anything critical about a civilian like this.
He was not in our chain of command or anything, one officer noted.
So, if you've ever said anything negative about Charlie Kirk, who has said the most heinous things in his life about black people, about gay people, about anybody basically who wasn't a white Christian, he said some of the most despicable things imaginable.
I condemn violence, let me be clear, 100%.
That was not the answer for that white Mormon, 22-year-old kid from a Trump Republican family to do what he did.
Condemn it to the fullest extent, what that white 22-year-old Mormon kid did.
Absolutely.
But let me be very clear, Charlie Kirk was no hero when he was alive.
I can say that.
Free speech to criticize that he said some of the most hateful and despicable things.
I want to give a shout out to Midas Canada.
