Speaker 3 Well, the MAGA Republicans are out in full force and effect trying to justify what may have been the most bizarre 72 hours in presidential history, whether it was Donald Trump turning the Kirk Memorial into like a political hate rally or Donald Trump going from the Oval Office and talking about how pregnant women shouldn't take Tylenol and spreading a bunch of other medical disinformation to Donald Trump at the United Nations speaking to everybody and telling everybody how their countries are horrible and speaking as Donald J.

Speaker 3 Trump, the greatest real estate developer ever, was going to buy this plot of land.

Speaker 3 Then he just started like calling out countries and saying, you have a bad mayor and you have the whole thing was just so utterly humiliating. People were like laughing in his face.

Speaker 3 But according to the Senate Majority Leader Thune, Donald, this was the greatest speech. This was up there with the greats.

Speaker 3 Just watch how Fox tries to not just sein-wash this, but sell their audience that this is a golden era, the greatest speech. This is worse than North Korea's stuff.
Let's play it.

Speaker 9 So first off, what are your thoughts on what you've heard from President Trump at the UN so far today?

Speaker 10 Well, thanks, Sendra. Obviously, straight talk from the president.
He does it. He puts out the unvarnished truth.

Speaker 10 And I think the thing that he makes clear in all these discussions that relate to foreign policy, national security, is that he's restoring peace through strength.

Speaker 10 And the president knows full well that it is not our strength that tempts our adversaries, it's our weakness.

Speaker 3 You know, then the instant karma that he gets is that he kept having audio issues.

Speaker 3 I don't know if y'all remember that Bill O'Reilly moment where Bill O'Reilly starts like yelling at his team and he's like, F it, we'll do it live.

Speaker 3 After just saying absolutely what didn't happen at that speech, watch what happens to these audio issues that Thune has. Let's play.

Speaker 9 But I'm pretty good at this stuff. He did use that moment to tout to the world what he has been able to do with our border and immigration.

Speaker 9 Okay, we appear to still be having those audio issues. Let me throw it.

Speaker 3 Okay, then it happens one more time. It happens again.
It kept that happening, but I'll just show you one more.

Speaker 8 Where we left off.

Speaker 9 Senator, jump on in here.

Speaker 9 We just played sound with President Trump. I moved from immigration to President Trump calling out those who recognize the Palestinian state.
Your reaction to his remarks on that this morning.

Speaker 10 All right, we're done.

Speaker 9 Okay. All right, we tried again.

Speaker 9 John, I think we're going to leave it there.

Speaker 3 That's so good. Then Harrison Faulkner had to say that Trump's speech was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Let's play it.

Speaker 12 President Trump has been speaking at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City. He unfurled raw truth to countries in attendance there and to the rest of the world.

Speaker 12 In moments from now, the president is set to hold a meeting with the UN Secretary General.

Speaker 3 He unfurled truth. It was the worst.
It's objectively, I don't care what political party you're from, the worst speech imaginable. But by the way, it's not just on Fox.

Speaker 3 If you look at CNBC, I mean, the Chiron that they were running today is Tylenol claims face pushback.

Speaker 3 And just normalizing this language of Tylenol claims, what do we mean? Donald Trump spewing the most deranged, incorrect medical conspiracies out there, but it faces pushback, everybody.

Speaker 3 I think this is one of the big problems that we face, especially as the right wing now wants to just totally abolish free speech. There's a reason why the First Amendment is first.

Speaker 3 But anyway, let's bring in Democratic Congressmember Seth Moulton. Congressman Moulton, it's great to see you right there.
You know, it's beyond kind of cringy to see that.

Speaker 3 Objectively, it was like, just, I don't care what political party you're from. It was the worst speech, yet

Speaker 3 they just engage in this exercise. And it's not unique to Fox of not just Sainwashing it, but acting like what we saw was normal.
And it just ain't. We got to call it out.
What do you think?

Speaker 6 It really is like North Korea. It's so bad that they feel that they just have to turn it into propaganda and make it into something that's completely divorced from reality.

Speaker 6 The word that struck me was how they talked about, you know, peace through strength.

Speaker 6 Well, just about every Republican I know in Washington who's still sane is really concerned that we're just giving in to China, that we're giving in to Russia, that the only thing that Trump is doing in foreign policy is attacking random boats off of Venezuela because he just wants to distract attention from the real big problems around the world.

Speaker 6 That's total weakness. That's complete weakness.
And I hear that not just from fellow Democrats, but from Republicans. So they've got a lot of stuff to clean up here with this president on Fox News.

Speaker 6 And I don't know, there should be a contest for the network that has the best propaganda because Fox would be in the running with RT over there in Moscow and whatever state media organization

Speaker 6 runs the propaganda stream in North Korea.

Speaker 3 You know, it's a very interesting perspective you gave there, speaking to some of the, I guess, remaining sane Republicans who may not admit to being as such on live TV, but who behind the scenes you're talking to, the perspective that these

Speaker 3 kinetic strikes that Trump keeps posting, that these like ISIS style death videos, right, right?

Speaker 3 That he's posting on his personal social media account of these 24-feet fishing boats getting blown up by the United States military.

Speaker 3 Like, okay, we know we have the capabilities that we want to blow up 24-feet fishing boats. And he brags and he boasts.

Speaker 3 But it's an interesting perspective that you're a marine vet, you know, these, you know, foreign affairs, foreign policy is your forte.

Speaker 3 And others, though, who are talking about these issues with a degree of seriousness in the House on the Republican side view what Trump's doing there as actually part of his way to say, see, I'm blowing things up while ignore, that's the play to ignore China, to ignore Ukraine and Russia's unlawful invasion, to not address Gaza, to just leave that and go, I blew up another boat today, everybody.

Speaker 3 Interesting perspective. Talk about that.

Speaker 6 And look, let's be clear, these Republicans are total cowards. They say this behind the scenes, in the locker room, in classified meetings that we hold on the Armed Services Committee.

Speaker 6 But then, you know, they sound like Jon Thune there when they get on TV in public. But guess what?

Speaker 6 Like we have laws and treaties that prevent you from just blowing up boats in the middle of the ocean.

Speaker 6 And there are military officers today who are very concerned that they're going to be investigated down the road for pulling the trigger on these operations that are absolutely unlawful.

Speaker 6 Meanwhile, over in Europe, we have this thing called NATO with treaties and laws that say that if a NATO country is attacked by Russia, we all respond.

Speaker 6 And what happened when Putin sent dozens of drones into Poland? Well, Poland responded and Finland and Germany. And what did Trump do? He made excuses for Vladimir.

Speaker 6 He's like, oh, you know, it was probably a mistake. That's not strength, Mr.
President. That's weakness.
Weakness. in the face of the one of the greatest adversaries America has ever known.

Speaker 3 And then via social media, he'll make these erratic posts, you know, when he'll say, you know, Venezuela, if you don't take everybody back from the insane asylums, because he believes asylum seekers are insane asylums, you don't even know what's going to happen to you.

Speaker 3 The worst thing's going to happen to you. And then he'll make social media posts.

Speaker 3 He did Magninski Act sanctions against the Supreme Court's wife in Brazil, you know, because they found Jair Bolsonaro an insurrectionist president there guilty and their Supreme Court actually upheld the law.

Speaker 3 And, you know, and it's just these erratic social media bailing out Argentina

Speaker 3 while Magninsky Act sanctioning, you know, whatever. And then, again, just doing nothing to Russia.

Speaker 3 There's nothing. There's no strand here other than craziness.

Speaker 6 I mean, the next thing you know, he's going to be be threatening the Venezuelans with feeding them Tylenol.

Speaker 3 But here's the thing: if he announced that, Senator Thune and your Republican colleagues would go and say, Look, brilliant, that's four-dimensional, that's four-dimensional chess.

Speaker 3 They're flooding the zone. I got to talk about a few other topics.
I want to talk about this

Speaker 3 $50,000 in cash

Speaker 3 that the border czar Tom Homan

Speaker 3 took. He didn't deny it when he did this Fox interview.
He just claimed what he did was not illegal. $50,000 cash in a kava, like a food bag from one of these like fast food Mediterranean restaurants.

Speaker 3 But, you know, according to Republicans, they're okay with that. That's normal.

Speaker 6 Well, maybe, maybe he thought it was a chicken schwarma bowl.

Speaker 3 Maybe.

Speaker 6 And he opened up the bag and,

Speaker 6 you know, oh, well, it's $50,000 in cash, but Kava doesn't accept returns. I mean, this guy is in law enforcement.
He's supposed to be in charge of border enforcement for the entire country.

Speaker 6 He's got to come clean. But with this administration, you know, they're so tough on crime, except that when the criminal is working for them, that seems to be the problem.

Speaker 3 Talk about Trump's,

Speaker 3 you know, the letter that he sent. It looked like he was sending a direct message where he goes, Pam.

Speaker 3 Pam, I need you to prosecute my political opponents. I want you to go after Schiff, Letitia James, and I want you to go after James Comey.

Speaker 3 And then he fires the Eastern District Attorney in Virginia, replaces it with his personal attorney, Lindsay Halligan.

Speaker 3 She was the one who said we need to stop talking about too much slavery and the Smithsonians.

Speaker 3 And now she's the Eastern District Attorney. I don't even know how these prosecutors.
How are there even federal prosecutors anymore will work with you? Haba, her,

Speaker 3 you know, you know, the guy in Central District California.

Speaker 6 It's insane.

Speaker 6 And let's be clear: hey, Attorney General, go prosecute my political enemies who independent prosecutors have said are not guilty, like they don't have a case against them, but do not prosecute my borders are for taking a bag of $50,000 worth of cash.

Speaker 6 I mean,

Speaker 6 this is also just a case of like the same playbook, different crime. And this administration needs to just be transparent.
So release the Epstein files. Release the Homan tapes.

Speaker 6 If Homan is innocent, then just release the recording of what he said when he took this bag of cash.

Speaker 6 You know, did he say thanks for the chicken schwarma, or did he actually think there was cash in the bag? I mean, I'm joking, obviously, but like, come on, like, just come clean. It's so absurd.

Speaker 6 You kind of have to sit here and laugh about it, except that this is deadly serious when it comes to people's lives.

Speaker 6 The lives that Trump is trying to ruin, you know, you just wait for you and me to be next. He goes after us because we're saying things in social media or on TV or wherever else that he doesn't like.

Speaker 6 And here comes the, you know, here comes the enforcer. The Gestapo comes down to say, you're not allowed to say that.
We're going to cancel you. Maybe he tries to send some prosecutor.

Speaker 6 Maybe Pam Bondi is going to be giving you and me a call to look into our mortgages or whatever else to try to come up with some crime just because this is the way that he goes after his political enemies like communist dictators.

Speaker 6 I mean, it's absurd. And we didn't even see this in the Nixon administration.
It's never been this bad.

Speaker 3 It's this constant cover-up. I mean, as we see with the Epstein files, you know.

Speaker 3 But I do think that when Democrats or when people push and push, you do see, though, finally, they get into some, you know,

Speaker 3 they hit the wall eventually. And this is why I think people need to be aggressive and not let him get away with it.

Speaker 3 Because when you hold him accountable, for example, like Ukraine and Russia, then Donald Trump says, Yeah, I didn't really mean peace in 24 hours. It was just a joke and it was just being sarcastic.

Speaker 3 Like at that point, there's really nothing else you can say to him where he says, I was joking and being sarcastic.

Speaker 3 So you kind of know, okay, everybody, you tell your colleagues he was joking and being sarcastic.

Speaker 3 On the Epstein files, it gets to the conclusion it's a hoax it's a hoax that's where um you know this ends with homan it's you know it's a democratic hoax it's a witch hunt so every just everything out there is is a hoax you know our

Speaker 3 his approval's plummeting it's just wild though that there's a lack of moral clarity on the republican side like that this still could and it could still exist when it's so blatant No, I know.

Speaker 6 I mean, it's so pathetic. And they really are just cowards.
Like, they're not dumb. A few of them are, but most of them are just total cowards.
They know the truth. They know what's going on.

Speaker 6 They know this guy lies through his teeth and violates the Constitution every single hour. And yet they're just so scared of him, they won't do anything.

Speaker 6 But you said something really important, which is that it matters when people stand up. It matters when people push back.
I think that's why Jimmy Kimmel is back on the air.

Speaker 6 You know, because what he did was just blatant censorship, something that is not consistent with our Constitution and the First Amendment.

Speaker 6 But there was enough pushback, and I'll admit, even some pushback from fellow Republicans.

Speaker 6 I'm going to make history for the first time in my life at least of complimenting Ted Cruz because he actually spoke up in the Senate and said that was wrong.

Speaker 6 So Kimmel's back on the air because the American people can't be silenced. And we've got to remember that.
He'll try to silence us. He'll try to cancel us.

Speaker 3 He'll try to literally throw people in prison that he disagrees with but he's not going to just silence the american people we've got to continue standing up and fighting back it makes a difference and congressman before we go i always like to ask this question because you know you're seeing things that i'm not seeing and we've got six million subscribers here so are there issues that you're either focused on right now or concerned on that you think you know with what all these shows and podcasts are covering, but is just getting, is not getting enough attention and that you said, look, we really got to be focused on X, Y, and Z.

Speaker 3 Anything that comes to your mind that you just want our people to know?

Speaker 6 I mean, look, this isn't what people are talking about because Trump is shredding the Constitution before our eyes right here at home. But I got two little girls, four and six.

Speaker 6 And look, I think we're going to make it through this. It's going to be really tough, but I think we're going to get through this.
I think we're going to win the midterms.

Speaker 6 I think we're going to get a much better Democratic president in 2028. And by the time they're a little bit older, you know,

Speaker 6 we're going to work hard to make sure America is back to normal and moving forward. But the one thing that would just devastate their lives is if we got in a war.

Speaker 6 And I think too often we don't talk about the risk that Donald Trump is putting us in with his completely incompetent and erratic Secretary of Defense, someone who's literally aiding the enemy by disclosing classified information on a daily basis.

Speaker 6 And the weakness that this team shows to China and Russia. There were no drone incursions into NATO countries under Biden.
There was no appeasement of Putin under Biden.

Speaker 6 You know, there were actually restrictions on the chips that China could buy, so they can't beat us in AI under Biden.

Speaker 6 Those restrictions were actually started in the first Trump administration. Donald has one meeting with the CEO, NVIDIA, and they're all out the window because he wants to make a buck.

Speaker 6 He probably got promised some purchases of his beam coin or whatever.

Speaker 6 So the the level of corruption in this administration is super dangerous back home, but it could literally lead us into a war overseas.

Speaker 6 And just sitting here, not just as a congressman, not just as a marine vet, not just as someone who sits on the armed services committee, but sitting here as a dad,

Speaker 6 that makes me worried.

Speaker 3 No, it's my daughter's first birthday today. We're about to go to the zoo.
And when I look at her,

Speaker 3 I'm kind of grateful that she doesn't know and she, you know, that fully that is her one-year-old birthday, the same way she doesn't know that what Trump is doing.

Speaker 3 You know, and I hope that when she is old enough to start processing, you know, a lot of these more deeper memories, it's a better America. So

Speaker 3 I share that with you. And thanks for joining us as always, Congressman.
