Speaker 2 Donald Trump just snuck out of the White House to go play golf.
Speaker 2 His public calendar said that he had no public events scheduled, but the press caught him actually sneaking out of the White House to go golfing.
Speaker 2 We wrote about it this morning on the Midas Touch website.
Speaker 2 He was seen by a Los Angeles Times reporter sneaking out of the South Lawn area.
Speaker 2 The press was unable to actually see Donald Trump board the motorcade because the Secret Service was basically hiding him. The motorcade departed at 9.57 a.m.
Speaker 2 Again, despite it not being disclosed on his public agenda, he obviously didn't want the optics of being seen golfing during this government shutdown that he caused.
Speaker 2
He was also not seen exiting his vehicle when he arrived at his golf club. And again, he's clearly hiding from the press.
right here.
Speaker 2 This as Donald Trump continues to post AI memes of himself himself and Russ Vogt, the author of Project 2025,
Speaker 2 as the Grim Reaper.
Speaker 2 That's the AI images of himself and Vogt as the Grim Reaper holding bags of money, ostensibly stealing money from the taxpayers, taking away your health care, forcing you to be psychologically tortured, living paycheck to paycheck in this disastrous Trump economy as everything is more expensive.
Speaker 2 So while Donald Trump went golfing for the day, he sent his surrogates out.
Speaker 2 So you have the MAGA Republican senator from Iowa, Joni Ernst, and she was talking about how her farmers are absolutely suffering right now, but Donald Trump alone is the person who can fix the suffering that Donald Trump alone has created.
Speaker 2
Make that make sense. Here's MAGA Republican Senator Ernst.
Here's what she had to say.
Speaker 10 Play this clip.
Speaker 10 As a member of the Agriculture Committee from Iowa, I just want to get your reaction to President Trump considering $10 billion in aid to assist American farmers due to these tariff tensions.
Speaker 10 Obviously, a lot of farmers in your state. What do you make of this?
Speaker 10
Yes, absolutely. Unfortunately, our farmers do need that assistance.
They don't like it. They do consider it welfare.
They want trade, not aid.
Speaker 10 And so we really need to see some of these new markets opening up around the globe. We need to see additional domestic consumption of our commodities like soybeans and corn.
Speaker 10
China is just not budging on this. And unfortunately, we've lost a lot of soybean contracts due to these elongated negotiations.
But if there's anybody that can make a deal, it's President Trump.
Speaker 10 So we'll continue to hope for the best and
Speaker 10 we'll help our farmers where and how we can. Yeah, and again, hopefully we can save taxpayer dollars by getting the government reopen.
Speaker 2 Oh, and Donald Trump's been sending all of his surrogates out while he's been playing golf, bringing back all of the old classic MAGA hits like, your children are all becoming transgender because of the Democrats.
Speaker 2 Transgender everywhere, everybody.
Speaker 2 Let's just create a boogeyman in order to bully marginalized communities while Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans take away the Affordable Care Act subsidies, which basically takes away your health care plan.
Speaker 2 They gut and destroy Medicaid and they cut into your Medicare.
Speaker 2 Here's MAGA Republican Congressmember Burchett this morning talking about the issues that I know are deeply pressing to all American people. I'm being sarcastic, of course, here, play this clip.
Speaker 11 That Congress needs to outlaw this type of activity. And it's really just
Speaker 11 a way to move kids' young minds. And the one thing we found out during COVID, we started looking over kids' shoulders at what their teachers, what they were getting from their schools.
Speaker 11 And these young Americans, these young children children we ought to have more control over are soaking this stuff up and that's why you're seeing the explosion of of transgender and all this this and to me ma'am it's demonic i'm a believer i know you're a believer but i believe this this is from the pits of hell and i and i thank you for being a working mom and you and you're a good mama so thank you i i totally agree it's good versus evil and this is kids netflix and i'm thrilled to hear that you're going to call some of these guys before congress to get some answers okay and then you have maga mike johnson who was asked by Fox, to their credit, at least Fox asked him.
Speaker 2 They said, look, lots of Americans are actually scared, Magamike, because they're either on Medicare, Medicaid, or on an Affordable Care Act plan.
Speaker 2 And if those subsidies expire, a family that says is paying $300 a month is going to have to start paying about $900 a month.
Speaker 2 A family that's paying $8,000 a year is going to have to start paying about $24,000 a year, even if their overall income is about $85,000.
Speaker 2 So how are families making $65,000 a year to $85,000 a year going to be paying for their health insurance without the Affordable Care Act subsidies, where their insurance is now $24,000 a year?
Speaker 2 So more than a quarter, almost half of all of their annual income or so will be going to health care. You realize that's unsustainable, MAGA Mike, right? Here, play this clip.
Speaker 13 Morning in the Wall Street Journal, she talks about Republicans, health care, the policy, and the messaging.
Speaker 13 Do you agree with her that the Republicans are weak, vulnerable on health care policy at this moment when a lot of Americans are saying they are worried about the high prices, but there's just very little discussion about why the prices are so high?
Speaker 14 Exactly. We're all concerned about that, but if they look at the facts, Republicans are the ones that are solving the problem.
Speaker 14 In the Big Beautiful Bill, when we put the reforms in for Medicaid, what we've done is brought down the premiums and we have eliminated the fraud, waste, and abuse.
Speaker 14
The CBO is the analyst that just put that out August 25th. Go look it up.
And they said the CBO is not a Republican group. They're the neutral arbiters here.
Speaker 14 And they say the Republicans are right because what we did was save $185 billion of waste and abuse in the program with our reforms. And we're going to get 2.3 ineligible recipients off of that.
Speaker 14 That's those illegal aliens. That's the young, able-bodied men
Speaker 4 who are siphoning resources.
Speaker 13 People who are not on Medicaid, people who are either on the Obama exchanges or are worried they're going to lose their employee-sponsored health insurance.
Speaker 14 Yes, we have a lot of reforms that we need to push through, but the answer is not to grow government and further subsidize insurance companies, which is exactly what those subsidies do.
Speaker 14
It doesn't help bring premiums down. We've got to do it for the people, not for the insurance companies.
That's a pretty important decision.
Speaker 15 Sir, thank you for your time.
Speaker 14 Appreciate you coming on.
Speaker 15 I don't know, what are you getting, like three hours of sleep a night?
Speaker 2 Oh, and while Donald Trump's out there golfing while the government is shut down, while the American people are suffering, while it seems like Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans are actually giddy about the shutdown because this is their way to inflict pain on the American people and to really own the libs by shutting down the government and making people suffer.
Speaker 2 We also have been reporting that Donald Trump's spiritual advisor, yep, Donald Trump's top spiritual advisor, a guy by the name of Robert Morris, pled guilty to sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl.
Speaker 2 Doesn't it seem like Everybody who Donald Trump hangs out with abuses little girls?
Speaker 2 I mean, doesn't it kind of seem that there's a lot of people in that inner circle that is doing that right next to Donald Trump?
Speaker 2 Well, in any event, when you're friends with Donald Trump, guess what you get? Like Epstein, the sweetheart deal.
Speaker 2 So Robert Morris will only be doing six months in jail for sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl. Look,
Speaker 2 Americans are absolutely pissed at what's going on right now.
Speaker 2 You look at all of the polls that are taking one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine polls, national polls, including very right-wing leaning pollsters like Razmussin and overwhelmingly in all of these polls from a margin of 11 to 25
Speaker 2 Americans are blaming Republicans and Donald Trump for the government shutdown as they should they caused the shutdown Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans in a government system which depends on talking to the other side, reaching consensus and agreement.
Speaker 2
They said, we refuse to speak to Democrats. Do not talk to Democrats.
You don't need to speak to Democrats at all. Let alone negotiate.
Don't talk to them.
Speaker 2 The White House put out an official statement, what was it, a week and a half ago, in response to reporters saying, hey, we're approaching the shutdown.
Speaker 2 Democrats really want to address the health care crisis in America because Americans are about to lose their Affordable Care Act subsidies, which means tens of millions of Americans will lose their health care and potentially die or go medically bankrupt or both in the process.
Speaker 2 So what's your response? Remember what the White House said? Go fuck yourself was a direct quote. I'm not being hyperbolic.
Speaker 2 You know, I don't like cursing on the show, but the direct quote from the White House was, go, go F yourself.
Speaker 2 Just so I can show you, here was the video of Donald Trump from, what was this, three weeks ago? Three weeks ago, Donald Trump said, we don't need to speak with Democrats at all.
Speaker 2
No, we'll just push the CR ourselves. All we need is Republicans.
He goes, I've told the Republicans, don't talk to the Democrats. Here, let's just watch this clip.
Speaker 15
How does President Trump deal with the government? We have to get Republican votes. That's all.
If we do, we have the majority. So we have to get Republicans.
But you have to get 60, don't you?
Speaker 15 No, we're going to do a probably continuing resolution, or we're going to do something. So we're going to do something that.
Speaker 15 Here's the problem.
Speaker 15
The Democrats have ⁇ They're sick. There's something wrong with them.
Schumer is at the end of the rope. He's going to to be defeated in the next election.
Speaker 15 If you gave them every dream right now, every dream that
Speaker 15
they want to give away money to this and that and that, destroy the country, if you gave them every dream, they would not vote for it. That's how bad.
I told them,
Speaker 15 don't even bother dealing with them. We will get it through because the Republicans are sticking together for the first time in a long time.
Speaker 15 Look, we got the big, I call it the big, the great, big, beautiful.
Speaker 2
And then you have MAGA Republican cabinet members like Lee Zeldin out there. As I said, they're giddy about this.
Like they're enjoying the shutdown. They're enjoying this suffering.
Speaker 2 Here you have Lee Zeldin saying, look, Democrats,
Speaker 2 if you don't agree to just do whatever we want without us compromising with you at all, which is actually helping the American people because Republican constituents are on Affordable Care Act plans and Medicaid and Medicare also.
Speaker 2 So, I mean, I understand they're so detached from reality because they live in Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago world with all the rich oligarch right-wing billionaires.
Speaker 2 But like, American people, right-wing, left-wing, center, like, depend on these, like, on these plans. But anyway, you'll see, like, they're giddy.
Speaker 2 Like, here's Lee Zeldin, Trump's cabinet member, EPA head, and he's like, ooh, we're going to make the sombreros bigger. You don't want us to make the AI sombreros bigger.
Speaker 2 Because Donald Trump keeps posting AI images of Democratic leader Jeffree's wearing sombreros.
Speaker 2 And I've been liking, I don't know what you think, I've actually been liking Democratic leader Jeffries' responses lately. He's like, it's weird.
Speaker 2 Like, okay, you know, it's weird that you're doing that, but let's go meet in front of the American people with the cameras on anywhere, anytime, anyplace, and let's show the American people what's going on.
Speaker 2 You're lying, Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans, by saying we Democrats are fighting for billions or trillions or anything of dollars for health care to go to unlawful migrants or undocumented migrants.
Speaker 2 Medicare, Medicaid money,
Speaker 2 ACA subsidies, they don't go to undocumented migrants. So just stop lying about that.
Speaker 2 By the way, if you want to speak the truth about MTALA, the Emergency Medical Treatment Act, about do our hospitals demand your paperwork, whether you're a citizen or not, in an emergency room setting where people could die, there's a law going back to Ronald Reagan that says emergency room physicians treat people who arrive at the emergency room, then we should probably pay them.
Speaker 2 Don't you think we should pay the doctors after they provide medical service? So if you want to have that conversation, right?
Speaker 2 We could have like a legitimate adult conversation, but stop saying that Democrats trying to fund billions of dollars or trillions of dollars for unlawful migrants. That's not true.
Speaker 2 And by the way, the American people aren't buying it. You know who else isn't buying it? Republicans.
Speaker 2 The latest YouGov poll shows that only 22% of Republicans, only 22% of Republicans believe that Democrats are actually wanting unlawful migrants to go and get health care.
Speaker 2
And that's what this shutdown is about. So just think about that thing.
Anyway, here's Lee Zeldin being deeply unserious. Play this clip.
Speaker 16 And you know well, when making these decisions, you analyze authorities, legal risk,
Speaker 16
and then you make decisions. And it is a door that is opened by Democrats continuing this shutdown.
Yes.
Speaker 16 Not only are the sombreros going to grow 10 feet higher on President Trump's social media accounts, but the powers of these agency heads administering the president's agenda and directives, it only gets easier.
Speaker 14
You're doing a bang-off job. Thank you, Larry.
Please Zelton.
Speaker 2 Thank you, everyone. So then the MAGA Republicans post images of like the DNC
Speaker 2
donkey logo wearing a sombrero. They find that funny.
So the DNC responds with the RNC elephant logo logo saying pedophile protectors. Let me just share with you this moment though.
Speaker 2 Here's the moment where the MAGA Republicans decided that they were going on a paid vacation this weekend. And then this whole week, not just this weekend, all week.
Speaker 2
MAGA Republicans are saying that they're not working. MAGA Mike Johnson ordered the House of Representatives closed next week.
Vacation, he said. During a shutdown, they're going on a paid vacation.
Speaker 2 Just think about how wild that is.
Speaker 2
How just disappointing and dangerous and evil that is. Here, play this clip of what went down on the house floor.
Let's play it.
Speaker 8 The chair lays before the house a communication.
Speaker 17 Mr. Speaker's Rooms, Washington, D.C., October 3rd, 2025.
Speaker 17 I hereby designate the period from Tuesday, October 7, 2025, through Monday, October 13th, 2025 as a district work period under clause clause 13 of Rule 1.
Speaker 17 Signed sincerely, Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Speaker 2 And then finally, we know that Donald Trump's main focus here right now is golden ballroom, more gold in the White House,
Speaker 2 $1 Donald Trump coin with his face on it, even though it's illegal to have coins with your
Speaker 2 face on it if you're still alive in the United States Treasury and nobody's asking for this, but Donald Trump is pushing dollar coins with his fate, putting his face on American currency,
Speaker 2 UFC matches on the White House lawn,
Speaker 2 being driven around in golden carriages in the United Kingdom. I mean, how utterly ridiculous is all of this when I show it to you? By the way, here's what a King Jeffrey says.
Speaker 2 He goes, look, at the end of the day, we're fighting for Democrats.
Speaker 14 We're fighting for Republicans.
Speaker 2
We're fighting for independents. We're fighting for human beings.
If you're on a healthcare plan, we are fighting for the American people right now.
Speaker 2 And the American people know what's going to happen if their Affordable Care Act subsidies are removed and if their Medicaid's taken away, if their Medicare is gutted. Anyway, thanks for watching.
