It's quite the dynamic that's unfolding before our eyes to see Donald Trump and the Republicans on the defense over the government shutdown, over Donald Trump's invasion of American cities.

They are losing the messaging war.

And for once, truth seems to be dominating the discussion that's showing up in the polls, but also showing up just in these bizarre pressers that we're seeing from MAGA Mike Johnson, Caroline Levitt, Donald Trump.

Gone is the pep in their step, and they're basically looking really weak.

I don't know how else to say it.

It just shows what happens when you go on the offense with the truth, with the facts on your side.

So I want to give people hope in this episode because it does seem that messaging things truthfully, powerfully, not buying into the MAGA framing is working.

Can I go try a lawyer lawyer on us and give us some exhibits and give us some examples as we start the show?

But before doing that, let me call in Brett and Jordy.

You know, I got to introduce the bros before I go all try a lawyer on our audience.

How are you guys doing?

I'm doing good.

It's great to be here, Ben and Jordy and Midas, mighty everybody watching and listening.

Hey, we got a big audience.

I know everybody watching.

Go ahead and

add the Midas Touch podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

I want to make sure they're subscribed to the show there.

It's totally free.

Make sure you do that.

Ben, I'm excited for for you to dig in, but I totally agree.

We got to give credit where credit is due.

And Democrats came to fight during the shutdown battle, and it's actually shown.

And you see that these Republicans right now are completely caught off guard.

You're seeing this total reversal of the usual dynamic out there.

And I think it's actually an impressive and it's a noble fight.

It's a fight for Americans' health care.

It's a fight for people to be able to afford their health care, not just so Democrats.

could afford their health care.

That's not how they're viewing this.

It's so that everybody in this country is able to afford their health care plan so they don't die.

And Republicans keep trying to just lie about it.

They keep like leaving Congress early, gaveling out.

They keep just posting sombrero memes.

They post images of sombreros on Democratic representatives' heads.

And like, I'm looking at that myself.

I'm going, this is.

the worst messaging I have ever seen.

And I know a lot of people give crap to the Democrats for their messaging, and we've been critical for sure plenty of times.

But when you look at the, just the total imbalance right now in the messaging apparatus, these Republicans are absolutely losing it.

They are getting absolutely demolished.

They look weak.

They look small.

They look cruel, probably because they are all of those things.

I'm excited for Bent to Go All

trial lawyer on us.

So I'm going to pass it over to Jordy right now.

Jordy, what's the latest?

Excited to get into today's show.

I have never been happier.

To eat my own words, Brothers and Midas Mighty, I think it was about two weeks ago.

If you remember, my concern at the time was that corporate media was going to sainwash the shutdown so much and provide so much cover for these Republicans that just the ordinary folks in the country would just assume that it was the Democrats' fault.

But I have to give credit to the Democrats here.

Their messaging has been on point.

I have to give credit to independent media here for putting their foot on the gas pedal.

I have to give credit to the Midas Mighty for extending that message to all of your circles as well.

Because Brett, Ben, Midas Mighty, to all yours points, you guys are right.

The Dems are winning this messaging battle.

The Republican Party has never looked more disorganized, more disjointed.

And that says a lot for them.

And so I'm excited to get into today's show.

Ben, let's go trial lawyer, big bro.

Where are you taking us?

The movie Captain Phillips.

I'm the captain now.

This is what it looks like when people take back the power from corporate media and we, the people, get out the truth.

You see, the key thing, this is a major distinction.

What did corporate media want to talk about?

All of Donald Trump's stuff and Trump's distractions, right?

Sombreros, blame things on illegal immigrants, blame things on transgender people.

You can't buy into that framework because it's like the expression, when you kind of play with pigs in the mud, you're always going to get dirty.

You're not going to win by playing in Donald Trump and MAGA's framing.

What you have to do is you have to assert unapologetically your framing of the issues, which is the truthful truthful one.

The Affordable Care Act subsidies are about to expire, and your health care, if you're on an Affordable Care Act plan, is about to go up three, four, five times.

You're going to be paying now close to $25,000 to $35,000 a year.

The Might As Touch Network's been posting in every single district what that's going to look like.

So, for example, in Magamike Johnson's district, Louisiana's fourth, if you were paying $541 a month, which is still candidly expensive for a couple earning $82,800 a year.

In 2026, you're going to be paying $2,180 a month for real.

Who in the world can afford that?

Even if you're making more than $82,000 or $85,000 a year, who can afford that?

So we've been going district by district and just we've been telling the truth about what it is.

You go to Mike Lawler, MAGA Republican from New York.

If you're earning $82,800 annually, you were paying $511 a month.

You're now paying $1,633

a month if the Affordable Care Act subsidies are not extended.

You can go district by district as well.

Representative Brian Mast, you will be paying $2,316

a month.

And again, just lead with the truth.

And also, one of the things that Democrats have been saying loudly, proudly, and truthfully is, we're here.

We showed up to work.

We want to do this in public.

While the MAGA Republicans have taken paid vacations as they've left Washington, D.C., as MAGA Mike, as Donald Trump, as Senator Thune, the MAGA Republican leaders, they refuse to even talk to Democrats, let alone negotiate.

The Democrats have been saying over and over again, let's do this in public in front of the cameras.

transparency and messaging transparency has been very important and very successful.

Also, I think it's important to use Donald Trump's words against him.

So when Donald Trump says that he has brought in $17 trillion,

but then the White House says they've run out of money, which is one of the causes of the shutdown and is one of the reasons that things are difficult right now because we don't have money.

You take Donald Trump's words, you use it against him, and you say, but you said you brought in $17 trillion.

You said you were a great deal maker.

Any fifth grader knows that the United States government relies on the political parties talking with each other.

So unless you have the votes in the Senate and the House where you don't have to talk to the other party, which is not what Republicans have, you have to talk.

That's literally the system.

And that's what adults do, regardless of if that was the system.

You talk, you try to make deals, especially when the deal that Democrats are trying to make is not like what MAGA Republicans were trying to do under Biden to get pork for their individual districts.

And former President Biden was like, look, I'm the president of this country.

And in many ways, the Inflation Reduction Act and Biden's plans helped red states more than blue states.

But Democrats aren't asking for like handouts for blue states.

In many ways, they're advocating more for red states, right?

Give everybody the Affordable Care Act tax subsidies that should exist.

Extend them.

They exist.

And then here's the thing.

When Donald Trump and MAGA are like, we want our own plan.

Okay, well, you're in charge.

So release what your plan is.

You go back to the first Trump administration.

His healthcare plan was coming in two weeks.

We've had a lot of ICE agents disappearing human beings and sending them into concentration camps in this regime.

We've had Donald Trump waking up and deciding to tariff the world one day, change tariffs another day, tariff this day.

We've had a lot of Donald Trump taking credit for wars that he never resolved and whining about escalators or the teleprompters not working.

We have a lot of Donald Trump calling up the military to invade blue cities.

Okay, but that's not what the American people want.

American people want things to be more affordable.

American people want to keep their health care.

So come up with your plan.

I believe...

And I think that there's something better than the Affordable Care Act.

And I believe that's called universal health care.

I think it should be free.

I look at the Affordable Care Act payments right now.

I think they're too high.

But it's the system we have.

It was better than when there were 20 million plus Americans who were uninsured, who would go medically bankrupt and just die.

They wouldn't have insurance.

So the subsidies are the best we've got right now.

I support universal health care.

Trump and MAGA doesn't.

They just lie and say, we're going to decrease the prices by 1,600%, by 2,000%.

They make up fake percentages where you literally can't reduce something more than 100%.

But if you've got a better plan, then come up with it.

And for now, extend the subsidies and then roll out whatever your plan is.

But stop defrauding the American people.

Stop saying you've signed executive orders to implement most.

favored nation clauses where our pharmaceuticals will be as cheap as the cheapest price that that pharmaceutical company charges people in another country.

You said that back in May.

I remember you and I were in New York, Brett and Jordy, for the Webbies.

I remember when Trump specifically posted, starting today, most favored nation.

That would be great if that was done.

Could you imagine if drugs were going to be charged at $1,

say in Canada or a place in Europe, it's charged $1 in the United States.

But the reason it's charged $1 in those places is that they did what Biden was trying to do, which is to have the government negotiate the prices on behalf of everybody to lower the prices.

And in many of these countries, healthcare is a right.

They have universal health care to begin with, but then it's just a fraud on us.

And that's the Trump planner.

What, two weeks ago, he posted AI videos of himself talking about med bed, super secret UFO alien from outer space technology that you go on this MRI-like machine and it cures your cancer.

And all of your illnesses.

Stop.

Just act like a grown-up.

The American people are on Medicare or Medicaid Medicaid or an Affordable Care Act plan.

Like, we're not stupid.

We know we need one of these things.

So stop with the, oh, we're going to make it better.

Then make it better, but for now, extend the subsidies.

That wasn't my trial lawyer shtick, by the way.

That was just me riffing a little bit there, Brett and Jordy.

But I do want to show the Trump oval office pressers.

But why don't I toss it over to you, Brett there?

Because...

I'm speaking a lot and I want to toss it up.

But that's my overall view of framing where we are right now.

I cannot agree more.

I honestly, I don't have too much to add there other than the fact that

I'm just going to note that Donald Trump says a whole lot of things, right?

And a lot of those things sound good.

Like, you know, I would love if healthcare prices, if costs for medication prescriptions were going down, you know, I'll say 100%, but if especially if they were paying me, you know, when they go down 1,300, 3,000% or whatever, that would be amazing.

It would be great.

I want drug prices to come down.

I want, you know, I think a lot of the things that Donald Trump says, I think all Americans could say, oh, yeah, that sounds great.

I want X, Y, and Z.

But when you actually look at what's happening in practice, you realize that the guy's a con artist.

It's why I'm so hesitant so often to report on just the things Donald Trump says.

And it's one of the reasons I become so infuriated when the media takes his word for certain things.

It really drives me up the wall.

I know we showed on the last episode of the Midas Touch podcast, we showed you how the corporate media was fact-checking Kamala Harris endlessly when Kamala Harris would say that Project 2025 is Donald Trump's plan.

And they would would say, well, Donald Trump says that it's not.

So, ha,

fact check, false for Pinocchios, Kamala Harris.

And I go, why are you taking this guy's word for it when all the evidence of the actions, everything that's in front of you should lead you to the opposite conclusion?

Don't listen to the words of a con man.

Don't listen to the words of a liar.

And that's why with every situation I hear, whenever I hear kind of some sort of good news coming out of this White House, I go, let's take it back.

Let's reel in in a second.

Let's see what is actually happening here.

Like when Donald Trump says, we have a peace deal with Gaza.

We have a peace deal.

It's ready to go.

It's going to be done by this Sunday.

I go, okay, before we start rolling out the headlines and we start the celebrations, let's wait and see what is actually happening here.

Because we cannot take the word of a con man.

I'm sorry, we cannot, especially in a situation like that, when quite frankly, every single party has their own various issues in the mix.

And so we need to be looking at what is actually happening before us.

And that tells you really all you need to know.

And as Ben goes into his

lawyerly breakdown of everything, you could see what's actually happening out there.

And it's not what Donald Trump is saying.

Donald Trump is saying Portland is war-ravaged.

All you have to do is look at the images of what's actually happening in Portland.

Donald Trump is going to take this playbook of disinformation, of lying.

He's going to take it around the country.

And it's until the American,

it's going to require the American people people to step up and push back in the same exact way that we've seen over

these past couple of weeks in order to actually shut him down and go, no, this is not okay.

This is not who we are as Americans.

My two cents before we toss it over to Ben.

And deep tease here for the lawyer shtick.

I hope you nail it, Big Bro.

I know you will, being as you are actually a lawyer, but deep tease.

It's so much easier to quote unquote message.

when you're the party that could just lie.

Let's just say it.

We're not playing or Democrats aren't playing by the same rules that Republicans get to play by.

And you could complain about it.

You'd be like, hey, that's not fair.

Life's not fair.

But you could at least acknowledge that, hey, when Republicans just get to lie about everything, and then corporate media jumps on it, oh, new trade deal Trump reached with India.

Really?

New trade deal Trump reached with TikTok and China and all of this stuff.

Really?

I want to see pen to paper on these deals because corporate media, time and time again, you keep coming to us saying that Trump has reached all these deals and all these great things, yet I don't see it.

And not just me, but the American people don't see it.

And so that's why, again, I applaud the Democrats here for their messaging once again, because they're actually able to root this in truth.

Hey, if we don't reach this,

like Donald Trump Republicans, this is going to be on you with people's health.

This is a you problem because you refuse to come to the table to discuss it, Ben.

Well, look, a Trump-appointed federal judge in Portland, Oregon, guess what?

She lives in Portland, Oregon.

So she has to show up to work.

So she knows that her community is not a war-ravaged community.

She knows that it is a peaceful, beautiful city where there are some small protests in front of an ICE facility.

And the provocateurs are often the ICE agents there who are shooting pepper spray bullets at people, who are ramming into them with vehicles, who are putting pepper spray in their faces, who are using gas canisters, like we didn't just see in Portland, but we saw in Chicago.

I mean, they're right by elementary schools, basically engaged in chemical warfare on the streets of Chicago so that they can capture on HD in these Bukelli, the dictator from El Salvador style videos, to make it look like there's, you know, all of this like war zone situation taking place.

And, you know, what they do do in Chicago, I mean, just think about what ICE does there.

They have camera people inside a building, right?

So that they're ready for the raid.

They then bring a like a Hollywood film crew.

They then have Blackhawk helicopters go over this building, descend on the building, tie up people.

They separate black people in the building and immigrants.

They like hog tie their hands.

Like kids are literally naked.

And they film a video of what they're doing go go go go go go so that ice can release commercials about their brutality and say look it's a war zone while they make war style videos that they're creating i mean how sick and sinister is that so you had the trump appointed judge in Portland, Oregon first issue a restraining order against the Trump regime on Saturday, blocking the deployment of Oregon National Guard troops.

And her finding was there's no basis in law for you to claim that the National Guard should be federalized here in Oregon.

So what does Donald Trump do?

He then calls up the National Guard from Texas and California to start invading other states.

Texas to go to Chicago, California to send California National Guard troops into Portland, Oregon.

So then the Attorney General Rayfield from Oregon had to go and say, seriously, judge, you just ordered that they do not do this.

So Trump brings National Guard from other states because they think that's an end run around your order.

And the judge, Immergut, she talked to Trump's DOJ lawyer and said, you realize you're an officer of the court?

Like, do you realize?

the representations that you've made here.

Like, you know, you're an officer of the court, right?

And this Trump-appointed judge was basically saying, you may lose your license if you continue down a path like this you violated my order and so late last night she had to order all states can't send their national guard into portland oregon just think about that as trump is launching military invasions using other states national guards particularly red states like in texas against blue states and blue cities that's that's the height to me of weakness as well like how pathetic can you be all right now to my lawyer leash dick donald trump in the Oval.

That wasn't my lawyer leash dick.

Deep Tsonal Trump.

Deep T's.

Donald Trump in the Oval Office.

What a deranged press conference that he held today.

And he was asked the number of questions about the shutdown, where he admits it's all about health care.

It's all about health care, he says.

And then he lies and claims he's negotiating with Democrats when MAGA Republicans literally have fled the jurisdiction of Washington, D.C.

And they've said negotiating with Democrats is pure theatrics earlier.

Okay.

But while Donald Trump was at that press conference, he was asked, Caitlin Collins from CNN asked some really good questions today, really hot-tipped her.

She did good questions today.

So she asked Donald Trump in the Oval Office: Well, what's your response to the United States Supreme Court not taking up or rejecting Ghilaine Maxwell's appeal where she was claiming that she was covered by a sweetheart deal that Epstein got in 2008, a non-prosecution agreement?

The Supreme Court said, we're not taking your case, meaning Gheelain's appeals are done.

She may try to make other arguments now back at the district court.

She'll probably argue, Trump says my whole case is a hoax.

So that's new evidence.

I should get a new trial.

She'll try to make arguments like that.

I think the federal courts will basically just be like, Trump's a liar.

We don't take anything that he says seriously.

Just think about the state of our country, where that's what federal courts are going to be thinking.

When the president says something, it's usually a lie.

But she's out of appeals.

She's done.

So Trump's asked about it.

Trump goes, I don't know who she is.

But then he also says, maybe I'll talk to the DOJ about giving her a pardon.

Listen to what he says.

Play this clip.

Yeah, please.

Say it.

The Supreme Court is back and they rejected today

the appeal by Ghillene Maxwell to overturn her conviction.

That means her only chance of getting out of prison is a pardon from you.

Is that something you're hearing?

Who are we talking about?

Ghillaine Maxwell.

You know, I haven't heard the name in so long.

I can say this, that I'd have to take a look at it.

I would have to take a look.

Did they reject that?

She wanted to appeal her conviction because they said that they were not going to hear her appeal.

I see.

Well, I'll take a look at it.

I will speak to the DOJ.

I wouldn't consider it or not consider it.

I don't know anything about it, but

I will speak to the DOJ.

I don't know.

I mean, I'd have to speak to the DOJ.

I'll look at it.

I have a lot of people who have asked me for pardons.

I call them Buff Daddy has asked me for a pardon.

But she was convicted of child sex trafficking.

Yeah, I mean, I'm going to have to take a look at it.

I'd have to ask DOJ.

I didn't know they rejected it.

I didn't know she was even asking for it, frankly.

I mean,

how either cognitively adult, a liar can you be if that's your response?

Why wouldn't you just say, absolutely not?

I'm not giving convicted sex traffickers pardons.

That would be the normal response right there.

But believe it or not, that press conference got even weirder.

That Oval Office presser was more deranged than that.

And there was a number of stunning admissions where Trump admits that this is all about health care, the shutdown, that this, and then he lies and says he's negotiating with Democrats.

How weird is that?

So while he has MAGA Mike out there, and MAGA Mike will show you some clips of what MAGA Mike was saying, is saying, nope, this is about illegal immigrants and this is about everything else.

I mean, MAGA Mike looks nervous.

He's all over the place.

He like basically ran out because he couldn't handle the questions.

I did a whole video on that.

Donald Trump's like, nope, this is actually all about healthcare.

It's healthcare related.

But he goes, we're trying to give people better health care.

It's the exact opposite messaging of Mag and Mike.

But Democrats have made it clear what they're trying to do, extend people's Affordable Care Act subsidies right now.

Otherwise, it expires and then you'll see the premiums rise.

So I want to talk about that and I want to talk about much more.

Let's take our first quick break of the show.

A reminder, if you can subscribe to our YouTube channel, that would be great.

And also become a member of our YouTube channel.

Those YouTube memberships have been so helpful in the growth and operations of this network.

You can gift memberships to as many people as you want.

Other people may not be able to afford memberships.

So if you're actually able to afford gifting people's memberships, That's a way to help the Midas Touch network and help people access bonus content and exclusive features.

With With that said, I want to take our first quick break of the show.

We've got a lot more to discuss.

A deep tease right there of the of the trial lawyer skills.

We'll be right back.

So Medicare's Board of Trustees just projected that the Part B premium will jump next year by over an 11% increase.

This impacts seniors on original Medicare as well as Medicare Advantage plans.

At the same time, many Medicare Advantage plans are going to be discontinued outright.

That means even if you like your current plan, your costs could go up, your coverage could change, or your plan could disappear.

That's why I tell our listeners, the Midas Touch Network, to call our Medicare partner chapter.

They're the only advisors who compare every plan nationwide to make sure that you are on the plan that best fits your needs.

On On average, they've saved people $1,100 a year, including hundreds from our audience.

In under 20 minutes, chapter can review your options.

If you're already on your best-fitting plan for 2026, great, you're done.

If not, they'll help you switch before costs rise.

Find the plan that's right for you by dialing 82 Medicare.

That's 82 Medicare and speak with a trusted advisor today.

I have to tell you about this game-changing product I use before a night with drinks.

It's called Pre-Alcohol.

Z-Biotics Pre-Alcohol Probiotic Drink is the world's first genetically engineered probiotic.

It was invented by PhD scientists to tackle rough mornings after drinking.

Now, here's how it works: when you drink, alcohol gets converted into a toxic byproduct in the gut.

It's a buildup of this byproduct, not dehydration, that's to blame for rough days after drinking.

Pre-alcohol produces an enzyme to break this byproduct byproduct down.

Just remember to make pre-alcohol your first drink of the night.

Drink responsibly and you'll feel your best tomorrow.

Every time I have pre-alcohol before drinks, I notice a difference the next day.

Even after a night out, I can confidently plan on having a great next day without worrying.

So I first gave pre-alcohol a try when I was at a wedding over the summer.

I drank it before my first cocktail and you wouldn't believe how on top of my game I felt the very next morning.

Now fall is right around the corner, so that means it's time to raise a glass to your favorite team.

Benji, where to next?

So, Donald, MAGA Mike Johnson, and JD Vance and Senator Thune, they're out saying that the shutdown is not about health care.

It's about illegal immigrants and transgender people, apparently, who also live in Peru.

So, what do you say, Donald?

What's the shutdown about?

Let's play the clip.

Will the government shut down, Mr.

President?

If the vote today fails in the Senate, will that trigger layoffs?

It could.

At some point, it will.

And, you know, the Democrats are the ones that started this.

And if you think about it, it's about health care to a large extent.

It's about we want great health care for people.

We don't want to give the money away to other people that come pouring into our country.

And they've already poured because nobody's coming into our country.

Now we have the border totally stopped.

It's about health care to a large extent.

It's about we want great health care for people.

Well, show us your plan.

In the meantime, extend Affordable Care Act premiums for American citizens.

It's really all that simple.

Then Donald Trump claims that his tariffs against the world have stopped so many wars, he says you would have at least four wars raging right now.

Before playing the clip, though, I also want to remind people that Donald Trump, Brett, you mentioned this before the break.

He said that if there's not a return of all hostages in Gaza by Hamas, he said, that there will be hell unleashed.

And then Donald Trump, that like that, he gave a deadline.

And then he basically said, all right, well, we'll talk about that later.

And then this, you know, continues to be an issue that you look back weeks, months later, and it's like, well, nothing's changed.

And the atrocities taking place to innocent people in Gaza continue.

Let's just play that clip.

And then Brett, I want to get your reaction to it.

Trump saying if I didn't have tariffs to throw around a bit, you'd have four wars.

I mean, everything he says is made up.

Four wars raging right now.

Okay, Donald here, play this clip.

Because you know, I've ended seven wars, at least half of them was because of my ability at trade and because of tariffs.

If I didn't have tariffs to throw around a little bit,

you would have at least four wars raging right now with thousands of people a day being killed that aren't happening.

We've settled, you know, we settle seven.

We're getting close to settling eight.

That would be a big one.

And again, it's a really deranged and dangerous thing to make up that you're stopping wars that you didn't stop.

I mean, it really is, right?

Take one of the wars that Donald Trump claimed he stopped between Congo and Rwanda, where a rebel group associated with Rwanda is engaged in lots of acts inside of Congo, Congo where

there's no deal.

Like there's deaths taking place every single day.

War is raging on.

Rwanda denies that they're associated with the militia group.

Literally, nothing changed.

He talks about India and Pakistan.

India's like, you had nothing to do with this.

Like, we didn't even take your phone call.

And all JD Vance did was threaten us and say, be careful, Pakistan's going to hit you hard.

And then India's like, okay, we're like, if they do that, then we're going to retaliate hard.

Like you had nothing to do with this at all.

Then Trump takes credit for like wars that weren't even wars, like like that aren't even things.

And again, it's just a fire hose of lies.

And but what's it?

Why?

Why?

One, he's a liar and he's a con artist, but it's because he did not resolve the war in Ukraine in 24 hours as he promised that he was going to do.

And he did not resolve the war in Gaza and the atrocities being committed there, as he promised to do as well.

So his big lie is like, it's like the $17 trillion thing, because he knows that groceries are more expensive right now.

Housing is less affordable, the worst housing market since 1995, inflation is surging.

So he goes, look, I brought in 17 trillion because that's what con artists do.

That's domestic.

international.

I've solved seven wars, eight wars.

It's such a crazy claim.

It's such an outrageous big lie that people go, oh, well, if he keeps repeating it over and over and over again, and it's such a big lie, propagandists of the past say that's how you do it.

And so you see it in play, but you have to counter it in ways that

harness the truth, that don't buy into the framing.

And you can call it out effectively.

And, you know, I think that's what we try to do here on the Midas Touch Network to set that leadership.

Let me toss it over to you, Brett and Jordy, though, after seeing those clips.

Well, the entire administration, everything they do is based on this whole alternate reality that Donald Trump tries to conjure up.

And it would not be possible without all those around him saying the same BS talking points.

And, you know, those people are like even far more disgraceful to me than Donald Trump because they are the ones going along with it.

They are the ones spreading it.

But I think, you know, especially as we see Trump going city to city right now, we see people firsthand are seeing his BS up close and personal.

I mean, we saw it here in California during the fires.

We saw it here when he was federalizing the National Guard here.

People are seeing it in Portland right now.

People are seeing it in Chicago and D.C.

These lies that he puts forward are just so egregious and do not represent the truth in any way.

It's also one of the reasons why, you know, I really dislike those kind of debate shows in that format because I'm like, why am I debating somebody who is just like presenting an alternate reality?

Like, the truth is not somewhere in between these two points.

Like, this guy is living in fantasy land.

I got to say, I do love seeing what the folks in Portland are doing to kind of troll Trump and troll ICE throughout this.

You see the protests that are taking place near the ICE facility.

And you see, there's like a guy dressed up in a frog costume who's just like standing there.

You see they're doing the cha-cha slide.

Cha-cha, real smooth.

You know, I'm going to sing it way too effectively.

YouTube's going to think we're playing the song, so I'm going to stop there.

True.

you are a great singer.

But

they're doing dances in front of there.

It's all very peaceful.

And then you have these agitators because if they can't get the reality that they actually want, they need to send people in to try to create this kind of war zone, you know, kind of look.

And this is what Ben was getting at earlier.

I want you to notice when you see pictures released by the Trump administration, when you see pictures people are taking of the Trump administration, you'll notice that they always have cameras on them.

You'll notice they always have video cameras.

They always have still cameras.

They're always trying to take pictures.

They're always trying to create their next commercial.

And so I want you to take notice of that and also take notice of all these people who are trying to start shit in all of these cities.

And there are people now who, these MAGA propagandists online who don't officially work for the Trump administration, but they go into these cities and they try to rile people up.

They try to start stuff.

There was a guy caught and arrested in Portland, one of these MAGA propagandists the other day for doing just that.

He started pushing somebody on the streets of Portland, started like threw them down.

And then he tried to be the victim and say, oh, look, Antifa is trying to get to me.

No, you were the person who tried to assault somebody.

That's why you were arrested.

The same guy,

for example, was also seen in Hawaii during the fires in Hawaii trying to start shit.

He's spotted all over the country.

They send out these people to try to create a scene, to try to create the conclusion.

conclusion that they've already come to that doesn't represent reality at all.

I just want one of these reporters one day to be like, you say you've ended seven wars, name the wars you ended and just put him on the spot.

Because I bet you he couldn't do it, right?

There's the, there's the few he clings to, but at a certain point, he's just saying numbers to say numbers, right?

Because he just wants the ride to be so out, he wants the lie to be so outrageous that people just believe it.

The numbers are so big.

Of course, he ended seven.

And this is also why he's pushing so hard for that Nobel Peace Prize as the war in Gaza rages, as Ukraine-Russia rages, because he wants to be able to spike the football and say, I am the the president of peace.

I told you, I told you I'd end all these wars in 20.

And look, I did.

I ended all of these.

Now, don't ask questions about these over here.

No, why would you do that?

I won the Nobel Peace Prize, guys.

It's really, I mean, it's remarkable to see in the worst way possible.

But again, I just want one reporter to just please push back and say, name the seven.

If you can name the seven, Donnie, we'll give you that Nobel Peace Prize.

Well, he names them, he names the Bronx.

He names random countries.

Then the world makes fun of him.

That's what he does.

But like

he says, I solve the war between Albania and Azerbaijan.

So then the leaders of Albanian Azerbaijan and French President Emmanuel Macron, they meet at an international meeting and then they mock Donald Trump and they laugh in his face.

So actually, Jordi, to be fair, he has been asked.

He does list it.

He lists the wrong countries, though.

He mixes up all of the names.

And then the world laughs at us.

But then our corporate news doesn't really say anything.

And you're like, oh, that's Donald being Donald.

But going back to that Oval Office press conference, one of the strange things, too, and this is part of the alternate universe that they're in, as Donald Trump has literally ordered the MAGA Republicans, do not negotiate with Democrats.

Don't even talk to them.

That was the order.

Look, you had Democratic leader Jeffreys posted, let's do this.

Let's meet in front of the public so that everybody can see what's happening anytime, any place.

Let's do it tonight.

He actually said, let's do it.

last Friday.

He broke that news exclusively here on the Might is Dutch network.

Like, let's do it in public.

MAGA Mike responded.

MAGA Mike said, we don't think we should do those theatrics.

Really?

The WWE cosplay fascist presidency that today talked about on Trump's 80th birthday or whatever, that's when they want to bring the UFC fights to the White House lawn, the golden ballroom, the Hollywoodification of...

ICE concentration camp style fascist raids.

They think it's theatric to talk about health care in public in front of the people.

Like, I just want you to think about that.

So Trump knows that that's a weakness.

It's a big weakness if he's saying, I don't want to do this in public.

So he lies and says, we're having negotiations now when they're not having negotiations.

I mean, again, this is deranged, but this shows the weakness.

You have to see the soft spot.

And this is clearly a soft spot.

But it's pretty close to that number.

And

we,

the way you stop them is not to give away, not to announce that you're giving everybody free health care, free this and that.

But what that does is it affects the American people because the American people are unable to get good health care.

Obamacare has been a wreck, as you know, and to do that, we have to keep it propped up and

do the best you can with it.

It's a mess.

But things are, a lot of things are going on in that.

You know, we talk about Hamas, and we talk about negotiations that we have going on right now.

We have a negotiation going on right now with the Democrats that could lead to very good things.

What kind of joy?

And I'm talking about good things with regard to health care.

Are you speaking with Democratic leaders?

What kind of people?

Well, I don't want to say that.

I don't want to say that.

But we are speaking with the Democrats and some very good things could happen with respect to health care.

Okay, he's not even a good liar.

Like, he's a bad scam artist.

And

why do they treat him in that press room?

I get it.

You're in the Oval Office, but like his behavior is that of a baby, like worse, like a petulant baby, like a baby that's not well behaved.

Like it's so obvious that like the way a little child fibs, I don't want a democratic leader.

You're not talking to anybody is the issue.

And he gets confused about what he's even saying.

So if you want to do it, then meet in public.

And let's talk about,

and he's like, and he's so bizarre because you see, he almost like like gets the issue that he's like, so they need the subsidies.

Yeah, they need the subsidies that they do need the subsidies right now.

And you also said in there, you implied or you said that you don't want to give people free health care or universal health care.

So if you don't like Obamacare Affordable Care Act to ensure as most Americans as we can and then keep down the price with subsidies, I know you like to subsidize Argentina.

You bail them out.

I I know you're going to bail out the farmers for $50 billion.

You know, the farm stuff?

The farm stuff.

That's a sub.

That's why.

Do we have the clip where he talks about the farm stuff, Brett?

Just, just, I'm going to get back into my rant, but if we've got the farm stuff clip, when he's asked, what are you going to do with the farmers?

So you're going to bail out the farmers, but you have such disrespect for them that you just call it the farm stuff.

What?

Their lives?

Their whole lives being destroyed because of your disastrous tariff world?

Here, just play that clip.

yeah i'm gonna do some farm stuff this weekend i'm gonna be doing some farm stuff this week but but in any event recognizes that farmville on facebook

the the subsidies are needed as i've said i have a better plan than i think the affordable care act my plan is what exists in basically every other country universal health care i think that's what we should have in the united states that's my view we can disagree that but i believe that the affordable care acts the best thing we've ever had other than a universal health care system, which I'd like to see.

But we need to do the subsidies right now, or else people will go medically bankrupt and lose their health care plan.

So do the conversation in public.

But MAGA Mike Johnson, and you see what liars they are, from MAGA Mike Johnson's press conference earlier today, where he goes, when the truth is on your side, you have nothing to hide from.

Watch what MAGA Mike says here.

Let's play this clip.

I say the same things privately that I say publicly we are consistent and that's why it's easy for me to stand up here and share the facts when the when the simple truth is on your side you have nothing to hide from i'm just presenting this to the american people this is the third fourth time we've done that i hate to drag you all out and go through all the details but i've got to put on the case over and over because repetition apparently is the key to this people are starting to recognize you hear what he said there too He is acknowledging the propaganda tactic that repetition is the key to this.

That means what's happening, the admission right there, Trump has ordered him, you got to go out and just keep saying the lie over and over and over again.

But Trump then undercuts.

the lie.

So MAGA Mike doesn't really even know what to do there.

So he keeps going with the lie.

But then Trump says this is all about health care.

And so MAGA Mike is literally like overwhelmed.

You can, you can see him there being overwhelmed.

But then that also undercuts the, like, okay, well, if the truth is the case, then release the Epstein files.

Then do the debate over the Affordable Care Act in public, like the Democrats want to do, Brett.

Yeah, transparency, Mr.

Transparent, the one who's refusing to gavel in Adelita Grihalva to be the 218th vote on the discharge petition.

He's like got the worst poker face, MAGA Mike.

He's really, his ability to just lie and lie and lie.

I mean, it just, it's so disgraceful, especially for somebody who positions himself as like, I'm this good Christian, honest man.

You know, he lies about everything.

He's protecting the most heinous criminals in American history.

And it is just atrocious to watch him up there try to kind of wiggle out of this.

But he knows he's on the losing side of this issue.

So it's like enough is enough, Magamike.

Enough is enough, Donald Trump.

Come together for the good of the American people.

This shouldn't be a left-right issue.

Let's make sure that people are able to get their health care, and then let's figure out how to make this healthcare system better and work for all Americans.

I certainly want a much better system than the thing, than the system we have now.

I think the system we have now is atrocious, and I think it's really terrible for most Americans.

It's still

more expensive than it should be, as is.

So let's figure out that plan.

But while we have Americans right now on the brink, while you're about to put them into bankruptcy, lead to deaths of Americans, how about we just act quickly right now?

We do this little thing that we've been doing, just extend what we've been doing, and then let's discuss a better plan.

Let's discuss how we're going to get out of this.

That was a rough press conference for Mike Johnson, to say the least.

I know I used to say this about Kevin McCarthy, but every time Mike Johnson opens his mouth now, it just feels like a little part of his soul is leaving his body every time he speaks.

He's got a soul left, this guy.

Just absolutely deflating.

And Trump with that farm stuff, Ben.

I mean, it's really just ridiculous to watch this person speak day in and day out.

I just think it's so funny, Jordy, right?

With the, you bring up the farm stuff again.

And like, you have these Trump administration officials and Trump, they're going on and they're like, don't worry.

We're going to bring tariff relief to the farmers.

We're going to bring tariff relief to the American people.

Like, I don't take a pain relief pill when I'm feeling great, right?

You take it when you have a, if I have a severe headache, I'll take an Adfil or an Ibuprofen or whatever, right?

You shouldn't need tariff relief if the tariffs were supposed to make us rich.

The tariffs were supposed to bring us into the golden age.

So, why do we need tariff relief?

Probably because the tariffs have completely screwed up the economy.

We'll get into more of that.

I know we got to go to a quick break.

Are you looking for something simple and delicious to add to your wellness routine?

I used to rely on regular honey for my breakfast, tea, and even salad dressings.

But then I found Manakora and let me tell you, it puts all other honey to shame.

Manakora honey is rich, creamy, and the most delicious honey I've ever had.

The best part?

It's ethically produced by master beekeepers in the remote forests of New Zealand.

These bees collect nectar from the Manuka tea tree, which is packed with bioactives, giving Manakora three times more antioxidants and prebiotics than your average honey.

Each morning, I start my day with a heaped teaspoon of Manakora, letting the creamy texture melt in my mouth and coat my throat.

And it's not just a tree, it's packed with powerful nutrients to support my immunity and gut health.

And here's something that sets Manakora apart: it contains a special antibacterial compound called MGO, which comes from the Manuka tea tree.

Manikora tests every harvest for MGO, and you can see the results yourself through their QR system.

It's a honey with superpowers.

Whether you're adding it to your food or enjoying it straight off the spoon, it's a game changer.

Brett, real quick, I just wanted to comment because you bring up such a good point, right?

Relief.

You need some relief, Brett, when things aren't going your way.

But they told us that everything would be going so well.

This is the only administration, and i'm carrying over prize picks to hear because i got i got football in the mind right now i've never seen an administration literally fumble the ball more recover the fumble kind of and then spike the football in celebration because they recovered their own fumble than the trump administration continues to do seemingly every week at this point i mean just tremendously embarrassing it's really it's just remarkable to see ben

you know just going back to that mag and mike johnson press conference for a moment, I mean, he's asked a deeply serious question.

Like,

you know, these Affordable Care Act premiums, the tax credits,

the notices are going to be going out soon.

This is obviously a trauma that people are feeling.

So, like, what do you say to them?

And MAGA Mike, and this just goes and shows you their whole mindset because MAGA Mike's got Cadillac health care because he's a Congress member.

They have the best health care that exists.

They don't have to worry about this ever.

You know, Donald Trump and lots of these Republicans are rich, right-wing oligarchs.

They've never had to worry about getting a notice that your health care is going to jump from those numbers that we've been posting on our social media account: $300, $400 a month to $2,200 a month.

But when people know that's coming, just like living paycheck to paycheck, it's a form of psychological torture on people who want a resolution, The responsible thing to do in the face of a deadline coming up is to, like adults, address it and not pretend that it doesn't exist.

I know that these MAGA Republicans took an entire vacation over the summer to not address the Epstein file.

So they barely worked at all over the summer.

Once the Democrats and Thomas Massey and the Republicans and a few other Republicans, just a few others, tried to make sure those files were out.

Every time they wait until the deadline's about to hit to create like a crisis.

But that's not the way it's supposed to be done.

And that's not the way Americans, responsible Americans, also want to live their life.

So watch MAGA Mike as he says, yeah, but the notices aren't even going to start coming out until early November.

We're in October.

Yeah, that's like three weeks from now.

That's the point.

But he thinks that's a defense because he has no soul and he's so detached from people that he thinks this is a good argument.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, people are going to get notices in November.

They're getting kicked off their health care.

But we're in October.

So what are we worried about?

That, that, that we're worried literally about that because it's coming up.

Yeah, you proved the point, Megan Mike.

Here, watch this.

They've been saying that some of the insurance companies will be sending out notices in early November.

The last time I checked, it's October 6th.

We have the entire month of October.

We'll stay here around the clock to work through all these things, but we have to get government open again to do it.

Again, they're trying to obscure the issue.

We are talking about a simple funding measure that the Democrats themselves have voted on over and over and over.

Chuck Schumber, they voted on it 13 times during the Biden administration.

This is the exact same thing that was on the floor in March when Chuck Schumer.

I should have brought his video and let him give you the speech of why it was so important to pass it.

Nothing has changed except the politics.

So that's a political issue that they're trying to make out of.

Brett and Jordy, doesn't that just tell you everything right there?

Doesn't it?

It sums it up.

And like I said, it also shows how nervous that Magamike is here and he knows that he's on the losing end of this argument and he's trapped because he's trying to do what Trump wants to do rather than be a check on power.

We should remind you, the reason that we are even in the situation of a funding, of a government shutdown right now also is because Republicans still have not passed a budget.

That's why we keep going from continuing resolution to continuing resolution to keep the government from shutting down.

If Republicans did their job, the most basic job that Congress is supposed to do, and actually created a budget to fund the government, we would be in a much different place right now.

But they are still ironically riding the coattails of the old budgets, of the Pelosi-Biden budgets.

I mean, just think about that for a second and think about how sick these people are to complain about all of this, and they can't even come up with their own budget.

And I think one of the reasons is if they actually presented their own budget, they would show the American people just how cruel they are by showing what exactly they want to cut, showing what their actual priorities are.

And also, these just aren't good faith people to negotiate with, especially when you have Donald Trump right now trying to say that he unilaterally can decide what gets funded and what doesn't get funded.

How are you supposed to negotiate with somebody like that?

That's not how government is supposed to work.

Congress is supposed to appropriate the funds.

That's supposed to be followed through by where those funds are appropriated for.

The president isn't supposed to say, nah, I'm good.

Actually, on second thought, not going to do that.

But that's exactly what's happening as Donald Trump continues to consolidate power.

So I think it's important that the Democrats continue to fight like this, that they do not cave, that they keep this up.

The polling is on their side.

The American people is on their side.

And people are seeing right through MAGA Mike and Donald Trump.

And the American people, the polling is on their side because the American people are seeing through the shtick, which is MAGA Mike, these Republicans, they don't work for their constituents and they don't work for the American people like they should.

They work for one person and one person only, and that's to keep dear leader Donald Trump smiling in his seat.

That's what they do.

That's their sense of government, governing.

That's what they want to do, is just keep Donald happy.

How can I continue to be the mouthpiece for Donald in all these TV hits that I do?

So I know I'll get an attaboy instead of a nickname on True Social.

And Donald Trump's messaging: good news for the holiday season.

Early prices are down.

While tariffs are making our country an economic power again, it's like we've never been richer than we are right now.

The Team Trump account, they deleted this, but I captured a screenshot of it.

The White House just posted this.

They said,

Trump is making it rain, and it's showing just cash like falling down on the White House.

And then they did another one of like sombreros in front of the Capitol.

No one cares about your sombreros.

We care about healthcare, dude.

It's just, it's weird, childish behavior, and it makes it appear because it's true that they actually enjoy this shutdown

you ever have a friend who you stopped being friends with who when you were going through something you really learned a lot about them because they seem to actually like enjoy your pain that's who these people are and then just the gaslighting while they engage in the stochastic terrorism it's it reflects a cowardliness as well like Caroline Levitt, when she held a press conference earlier, she talked about how she was reading Politico Playbook.

And she's like, why do you guys keep saying that we're like invading cities or that we want the military there forever?

We don't want that.

Like, why are you saying that that's what we're doing?

That's not what Donald Trump's been saying.

It has.

It has.

He said it in front of the admirals and generals.

We watched it.

He called Democrats gnats in front of the Navy and said, we got to get rid of those gnats off of our shoulder.

And a Navy speech in Norfolk.

I just want you to think about that.

I mean, that's not what the presidency should be.

Again, I don't care what political party you're from, but let's watch Caroline Levin.

Let's play.

And there has been a complete smear campaign by the Democrats and the media, quite frankly.

I was reading political playbook this morning, one of the most inside-the-beltway newsletters you can find.

And you guys are framing this like the president wants to take over the American cities with the military.

The president wants to help these local leaders who have been completely ineffective in securing their own cities.

And

That's also, to me, the weakness there.

You know, if you're going to do this, own it and then let the American people decide.

But obviously, you know how deeply unpopular it is.

That's why they go and they run and they curl up in their fetal position and play the victim right away.

Right.

Ah, they're coming after us.

They're coming after us.

Let me show you what Governor J.B.

Pritzker had to say that he filed the lawsuit, obviously, to block the Trump regime from sending Texas National Guard troops into Illinois and activating the Illinois National Guard.

But he held a press conference today as well.

And he said, Donald Trump's deranged depiction of Chicago as a hellhole and a war zone is complete BS.

Here at Play This There was never an insurrection or an invasion on the ground that justified the deployment of the military to our American city.

We stood out there on a beautiful day at River Point Park to make that point.

Donald Trump's deranged depiction of Chicago as a hellhole, a war zone, and the worst and most dangerous city in the world was just complete BS.

He clearly has decided to declare war on a great American city that has the lowest homicide rate in 60 years, in a state that has record employment and near-record tourism.

And he's done it for some unspoken reason.

And then he talks about the Black Hawk helicopters that were over this apartment complex while they filmed in HD inside the apartment complex.

Watch this.

There's been zero accountability or transparency from ICE or the administration.

Last week, federal agents dressed in camouflage gear conducted a military-style raid on an apartment building in South Shore, a neighborhood of Chicago.

They brought Black Hawk military helicopters and more than a hundred agents in full tactical gear.

Even though it was supposedly a very dangerous and important mission, they brought dozens of cameras and set them up so that they could film their attack on the building in HD for social media.

See for yourself.

We've showed that video before, but the sights of ICE agents, agents, militarized vehicles, engaging in chemical warfare against United States citizens.

I gave an interview with a reporter recently, and I was describing the way I described things on the show.

And the reporter says, it feels like you're embedded right now in this fascist regime.

I said, because we are.

We are.

That's what it exists.

Like I'm just literally saying what is going on and the pain and the terror that the Trump regime is inflicting on people here.

At its core, maybe I'm a perpetual optimist, but I believe the American people are good people.

I believe the American people love the Constitution.

I believe that American people want to uplift rather than destroy in general.

I do unfortunately believe that there's a portion of this country that views their happiness relative to the suffering in others, which is deeply disappointing and distressing.

But I think that as a whole, I believe in America.

I really do.

I believe in our Constitution and perhaps call me naïve for that, but that's what I get up every single day with my brothers, with this network, and try to accomplish.

I try to accurately call out what's happening.

But I also want to figure out a path forward for how we embrace the better nature of what America could be.

And our history has not always been filled with

optimism and great things happening.

Our history is one of starts and stops and progress and retraction and regression.

Our history is filled with sad truths about the treatment of Indigenous people, which would be an understatement, the black community and other marginalized groups.

But I firmly believe that there is hope in all of this.

And it's why you'll hear me on videos talk about empathy and love

and protecting marginalized communities and standing together with people.

It's what this network's always going to be about.

It's what we're always going to stand on.

We stand on business, the business of democracy, protecting our democracy.

With that, I wish everybody well.

I want to remind everybody to become a member of our YouTube channel.

Please, it helps a long way.

And after this episode ends, we have an exclusive Democratic leader, Hakeem Jefferies, which we're going to be dropping right after this episode ends.

Everybody check out that interview.

I'm going to ask him directly.

Donald Trump says there's a negotiation to take place.

What's going on?

Tell us what's going on.

We want to hear.

That and more.

So make sure you watch that.

As soon as this ends, go over there.
