Donald Trump is getting terrible news.

Chicago isn't scared of him.

Illinois isn't isn't scared of him.

America isn't scared of him.

The world isn't scared of him.

People are standing up to him, calling his bluff.

And we're seeing how weak and pathetic he is and how weak and pathetic his entire ilk are.

The MAGA Republicans who tried to call the Democrats bluff by Trump and these MAGA Republicans shutting down the government to tried to rip away the health care of tens of millions of Americans.

They thought Democrats would cave again in the House and the Senate, but Democrats are standing up and fighting.

And when the MAGA Republicans try to pull those stunts, right, what did we see yesterday?

Mike Lawler, MAGA Republican from New York, tried to get in Hakeem Jefferies' face as leader Jeffries said he thought he was going to get Beltway Jeffries.

He got Brooklyn Jefferies.

And Jeffries, to his credit, got into Lawler's face, said, why don't you go back to your daddy, Donald Trump?

Why don't you go back to your boss and tell him we, the Democrats, are fighting for people's health care?

Then there was another moment where MAGA Mike Johnson tried to get into the faces of Arizona senators Gallego and Kelly, and they were like, why don't you go and release the Epstein files, you coward?

And then MAGA Mike was like,

you guys are like the experts at red herrings.

You're like the red herring experts, you guys.

That's not what we want to do.

Just restore this.

Let us get out of the shutdown, and then we'll all figure it out.

I mean, you see how weak these MAGAs are when you actually stand up to them.

I mean, hat tip to California Governor Gavin Newsom, who really kind of started showing up what it looks like to powerfully stand up.

We see Governor Pritzker, so many Democratic governors standing up, and Democrats in the House and Senate finally standing up, holding the line, and not caving.

Take a look right here of this overhead shot of these massive protests, peaceful protests, taking place place in Chicago, Illinois.

They don't like Texas National Guard troops invading their city.

They don't like masked ICE agents sending chemical agents by elementary schools, engaging in chemical warfare against the people.

They don't like that.

Coast to coast, the resistance is getting stronger and stronger as we head into the No Kings protests on October 18th.

My question for you: Will you be attending the No Kings protests with me i hope to see you there i hope to see you out in the streets peacefully protesting no matter where you are if you can spread the word about no kings protests on october 18th the midas touch network will always continue to amplify the organizers of these incredible peaceful events so one of the things we learned yesterday as well and deeply disturbing i'm going to do a whole nother video on this i think we knew about it before but it was confirmed by some great reporting by the the Wall Street Journal.

They've been doing some good reporting lately.

So, remember when Donald Trump wrote that social media post on his truth social account, his social media account, saying, Pam, I need you to go after James Comey and Senator Schiff and New York Attorney General Letitia James.

You're making me look bad.

Go after my political opponents.

Remember how weird it was?

And people were like, Did he mean to send that as like a text message or a direct message?

Donald Trump, cognitively addled, having this like cognitive meltdown, he thought that that was being sent via a direct message to Pam Bondi.

Apparently, Donald Trump, surprise, surprise, unlawfully communicates with his cabinet members on confidential issues using Truth Social.

I believe.

Democrats need to subpoena that Truth Social account when Democrats take over the House of Representatives because that's not subject to executive privilege, private account, private social media.

What's the claim?

He uses it for campaigning.

It's private in nature.

Let's get those messages.

It's interesting, right?

Bullseye on those messages in terms of discovery.

So Donald Trump thought he was sending a direct message to Pam Bondi, the Wall Street Journal

reports.

Bondi was pissed because it exposed her when that was published and she was all upset.

So then Donald Trump had to then make a post to pretend that he meant to post that publicly.

And then Donald Trump says, great Great job, Pam Bondi.

As Dan Pfeiffer, our friend writes, I know everyone on this site cares passionately about the information security habits of top government officials, but the president of the United States communicating with his cabinet via truth, social, direct message is both insane and a violation of the Presidential Records Act.

But I would also say that it is reflective of information that is absolutely discoverable.

That's for sure.

All right.

Now, in Virginia yesterday, speaking of James Comey, who Donald Trump says, you need to indict my political opponent, James Comey, the former FBI director is Trump's political opponent in Trump's mind.

Comey's lead attorney showed up with James Comey.

At the arraignment, Comey pled not guilty.

Comey showed up in this politically charged, just frivolous case against them.

All smiles.

He was there with his daughter, Maureen Comey, who was the lead prosecutor against Epstein and the lead prosecutor against Ghylaine Maxwell.

Trump fired Maureen Comey as well, again, the lead prosecutor in those cases.

And one of the things that the attorney, Patrick Fitzgerald, who represents Comey, told the judge is, you know, we've read this indictment and it references that James Comey purportedly directed person one and person three to go and speak with the press.

Well, we don't know who person one and person three is because the people who we know about,

McCabe and this guy Cunningham, those are the only two people it could possibly be.

And those are the two people who said that we were never authorized by James Comey to provide this information to the Wall Street Journal.

So James Comey could not have been lying when he said, I did not author to the Senate to Ted Cruz.

I did not authorize anybody at the FBI to provide that information to the Wall Street Journal because they said we weren't authorized.

McCabe on the Midas Midas Touch Network said, I did it on my own.

I didn't have to have authorization.

In any event, one of the things that James Comey's lawyer said that they were getting ready to file, trial is going to be set January 5th, 2026, so pretty soon.

And the first set of motions to dismiss for selective and vindictive prosecution, as well as a motion challenging the legality of Lindsay Halligan's appointment.

She was not lawfully appointed when the indictment was brought and the statute of limitations passed.

Those motions will be heard October 20th.

And then on October 30th,

we will hear motions about grand jury abuse, as well as an outrageous government conduct motion.

So the case could get dismissed there.

If it doesn't, it goes to trial on January, early January of 2026.

Now, late last night, as Donald Trump kept on losing and losing and losing as the American people were standing up to him, Trump had to call into Fox.

They claim that they have done a peace deal in Gaza.

I never believe Donald Trump's deals at all, and I don't even know what the contours of such a deal would look like.

Although it would be a good thing if the hostages were returned from Hamas, it would be a great thing if the hostages were returned from Hamas.

At the same time, the atrocities that have been committed in Gaza are hard for the mind to even comprehend how utterly tragic and senseless the killing of innocent Palestinians in Gaza has been.

And so we'll wait to see the details of a deal.

Anytime Donald Trump says deal, we believe that he's a liar because he always lies.

But like, here's a great example of it as well: that Donald Trump's calling into Fox and he's talking about taking in trillions of dollars.

He goes, we've taken in trillions of dollars and we've saved millions of lives with tariffs.

Okay, where's that trillions of dollars?

Is the trillions of dollars on the tariff shelf?

Here, play this clip of Donald Trump.

At least five of the seven that we've done so far, it was through

trade, that we're not going to deal with people that fight.

We're not going to deal, and we're going to put tariffs on you, we're not going to let you deal in the United States, we'll put tariffs on you.

And without that, without the tariffs, I mean, far more than even the money that we're taking in, which is trillions of dollars, essentially trillions of dollars, far much more importantly, it gives you a tremendous road to peace and the saving of millions of lives, just millions and millions of lives.

You look at India and Pakistan, I said, well, we're not going to do business with either of you if

you don't put it together.

And then in the next clip, he goes from saying we took in trillions to now he says we took in billions and then he attacks like he always does former President Biden and former President Obama here play this clip.

In the meantime, we're making deals with Japan, with South Korea,

and we're taking in hundreds of billions of dollars like we've never done before.

And we're making friends, frankly.

They respect us again.

You know, we're like a respected country again.

We were laughed at.

Nobody took advantage of us worse than our so-called allies on trade.

And that's under the Biden administration and

under Barack Hussein Obama, we were a disaster.

We were a laughingstock.

Now, here was that moment yesterday where Hakeem Jeffries confronted Mike Lawler when Mike Lawler was trying to pull the stunt and knock on Akeem Jeffries' door.

And Jeffries, like, really?

Seriously?

And this is how it's done here.

Play this clip.

You're not going to talk, you're not going to talk to me.

Wasted.

You're not going to talk to me

and talk over the New York residents because you don't want to hear what I have to say.

Oh, I'm listening.

So, why don't you just keep your mouth shut?

Oh, because you showed up.

Is that the way it is?

You showed up.

You showed up.

And so you voted for this one big underneath the bill.

You can't explain this.

You can extend it, right?

A permanent extension of massive tax breaks for your billionaire.

So 90% of Americans

of American working class

and I love this is what Jeffries was on this podcast yesterday with JoJo Jerse, Brooklyn Dad, and some others.

And he was like, they thought they were getting Beltway Jeffries.

They got Brooklyn Jeffries here.

Play this clip.

And I hear that Mike Lawler, who's a complete and total fraud, is waiting outside.

to step to me.

I think some on my team would have probably preferred that I just ignore him.

But I'm like, you know what?

I'm not the one.

Don't come for me unless I send for you.

And I did not send for this malignant clown.

I think he thought he was confronting Beltway Hakeem, but he saw Brooklyn Hakeem.

And finally, we see MAGA Mike Johnson just flailing, looks nervous, look panicked.

MAGA messaging all over the place on the shutdown.

They blamed immigrants.

They blamed transgender people in Peru.

They said that the young pregnant women get their doctors reimbursed more than migrants.

I don't even know what the hell they're talking about.

Trump lied and said that they were negotiating when they're not.

They took a, they're on vacation.

Megan Mike sent the Republicans on paid vacation.

They're not even there.

They're like golfing.

They're partying.

They're laughing in the American people's faces.

Democrats are all there.

Democrats are showed up, ready to work.

And this is what Meghan Mike said.

Again, look how nervous this dude is here to play this clip.

But my understanding is the House of Representatives is something in something called a pro forma session.

And Democrats say that you will not swear in a Democrat who was elected in Arizona special election because you do not want her critical vote on the Epstein discharge position.

If she voted for it, then the discharge position would come up on the Epstein files.

There she is there

speaking.

Why won't you swear her in?

Yeah.

I mean, again, they're becoming experts at distraction and red herrings.

This has absolutely nothing to do about Epstein.

This is a scheduling matter.

As soon as the Democrats open a vote to reopen the government, we will get back to the regular order and session of Congress, and that'll be, I'm sure, among our first orders of business is to administer the oath to the newly elected representative.

This is just a matter of the schedule.

In a pro forma session, no one's there in the chamber.

It's literally sometimes three, four people.

You have a clerk, and whomever is serving as the interim speaker, they bang the gavel gavel in, they say the pledge and they bang the gavel out.

That's it.

It's just to keep Congress functioning.

It's a tradition of the institution.

But we'll do it right and do it in the right way as soon as everybody gets back here.

I understand.

And that makes perfect sense until we look back and see that there have been Republicans sworn in during pro forma sessions.

So why should it be different for a Democrat?

Great question.

There was a unique exception made when the two Florida representatives are sworn in earlier this year after winning a special election.

And the only reason we did that is because it was previously noticed for that date and they flew all their families and friends in for the ceremony.

So because they were here and the

session got canceled, we just went ahead and did it because their families were here.

That's the main purpose of it.

So if she flies in her family, what you guys do?

All of us, she'll get the full bells and whistles.

It has to be a lot of fun.

We don't schedule things for pro forma.

No, I'm telling, but they're trying to make an issue out of nothing.

I've looked forward to welcoming her.

She's congratulated for having won her father's seat.

He served a long time.

She'll have a great career.

But, you know, again, these are distractions.

We have to get the government open so that we can get all these regular processes working again.

That's all this is.

There you have it, folks.
