Speaker 7 In other words, take from the big, bad insurance companies, give it to the people, and terminate per dollar spent the worst health care anywhere in the world, Obamacare.

Speaker 7 Unrelated, we must still terminate the filibuster exclamation point. And Donald Trump will be like, you see, this is what my plan is.

Speaker 7 We're going to eliminate all insurance companies, give people a few thousand dollars, and then we're all good. Hey, Donald, we remember, what was it?

Speaker 7 Five months ago when Doge existed, or no one talks about Doge anymore. Remember the Doge dividend checks? Everybody was going to get $5,000.
Remember, was it a month ago? The tariff rebate checks.

Speaker 7 We're bringing in so much money, trillions of dollars, that everybody's going to get a tariff rebate check. Lie after lie after lie.
It's just fraud from a two-bit con artist.

Speaker 7 As Democratic Senator Chris Murphy says, this is unsurprisingly nonsensical.

Speaker 7 Is he suggesting we just eliminate health insurance, get rid of everybody's insurance altogether, and then give people a few thousand dollars instead?

Speaker 7 And then when they get a cancer diagnosis, they just go bankrupt because they can't afford the procedure. He is so deeply unserious.
That's why we are shut down and America knows it.

Speaker 7 and here's what he was doing last night he was walking out with like his hands looking actually like like freaking Frankenstein around Mar-a-Lago like yelling at people it was such a bizarre sight to see and then he has people like this there at Mar-a-Lago I don't even know what the hell was going at morrow going on at Mar-a-Lago last night you had women who were dressed like this I kid you not this is a real photo this is different from what happened last weekend when they had the half-naked women in the martini glasses This is what's going on right now.

Speaker 7 And by the way, Democrats made a very serious offer, one that probably frustrated a lot of Democrats at first to these MAGA Republicans, but they called their bluff when it comes to the government shutdown.

Speaker 7 Democrats said, look, we want the Affordable Care Act subsidies to be permanently extended because we need Americans to be able to afford their health insurance.

Speaker 7 If you extended the tax cuts for the billionaires permanently, so should the subsidies for the Affordable Care Act.

Speaker 7 But the Democrats said, look, let's do a one-year extension on the subsidies, and then let's publicly come up with a bipartisan commission, and then let's offer solutions to the American people.

Speaker 7 Then let's have a vote on a date certain next year.

Speaker 7 By the way, good timing in the sense that it would take place right before the midterm elections, so Americans can see which side is serious about a health care plan.

Speaker 7 But let's not force Americans to lose their health care coverage right now.

Speaker 7 And then all of the MAGA Republicans, though, in response to Democrats just saying, do a one-year ACA subsidy extension, one-year extension of these Affordable Care Act subsidies.

Speaker 7 Republicans were all like, nope, we're never going to do that. Why would we do that at all? That's ridiculous.

Speaker 7 I mean, here's Lindsey Graham saying, and I just want you to hear it for yourself so you know what I'm talking about. Here, play this clip.

Speaker 7 Inflation is surging as a result of Donald Trump's tariffs against the world.

Speaker 7 And Donald Trump's message before he left to go to Mar-a-Lago on the taxpayer dime again that we're paying for all of those stupid trips is that affordability is a con job.

Speaker 7 He goes, it's all one big con. It's not real.

Speaker 7 Within hours to go before the TRO compliance clock runs and the First Circuit waiting to deny immediate relief until a minute ago, we have filed an emergency stay application in the Supreme Court requesting immediate relief.

Speaker 7 And just so you know what that means, she's saying we rush to the Supreme Court to block the payments of SNAP to the beneficiaries because they, the regime, doesn't want people to get SNAP benefits.

Speaker 7 The United States government just, our taxpayer dollars, $40 billion just went to Argentina. $40 billion.

Speaker 7 By the way, it's like $37 billion to pay for the entire Affordable Care Act for an entire year. But $40 billion we sent to Argentina.

Speaker 7 And the SNAP benefits would be for the next month or so would be like, what, $5 or $6 billion?

Speaker 7 And that money exists in a temporary fund and we have more than enough money to fund snap right now fund snap I mean the Trump regime did what a trillion dollar military budget 173 additional billion dollars to the ICE Gestapo by the way here's what JD Vance said just so you could hear it in your own words when he was attacking the courts the lower courts for ordering the Trump regime pay people the snap benefits here play this clip look Jackie it's an absurd ruling because you have a federal judge effectively telling us what we have to do in the midst of a Democrat government shutdown, which what we'd like to do is for the Democrats to open up the government.

Speaker 13 Of course, then we can fund SNAP, and we can also do a lot of other good things for the American people.

Speaker 13 But in the midst of a shutdown, we can't have a federal court telling the president how he has to triage the situation. We're trying to keep as much turned on.

Speaker 13 We're trying to keep as much going as possible. The president and the entire administration are working on that, but we're not going to do it under the orders of a federal judge.

Speaker 13 We're going to do it according to what we think we have to do to comply with the law, of course, but also to actually make the government work for people in the midst of the Democratic government shutdown.

Speaker 7 You know, I find this interesting as well. And it's so important that we have accurate, credible media diets right now because there's so much disinformation from the Trump regime.

Speaker 7 You remember when J.D. Van said that he hoped that his Hindu wife converts to Christianity? And then this sparked this massive debate.
And like, why would you say that? I mean,

Speaker 7 you're wanting your wife to, the whole thing is very, very, it was a strange comment. Well, only 4%

Speaker 7 of right-wing of like the coverage came from right-wing media on this.

Speaker 7 So it just shows you that like the right-wing media is always going to cover up for MAGA and they always want to just give MAGA's base the kind of red meat that just pisses them off, but they don't want to ever look critically at their own people.

First off, the stock market is not the American people.

Speaker 7 All the economists talk about this K-shaped economy, K, because one line goes up and one line goes all the way down, and billionaires are doing well while the American people are in a recession, a great recession, or perhaps even a depression right now, based on what, over a million jobs lost in the first three, three and a half quarters, worse, basically as bad as the Great Recession, worse than any other time since then.

Speaker 7 I mean, we have right now, I mean, recession in manufacturing. Trump screwed over the farmers.
I mean, it's uh, it's absolutely horrific.

Speaker 7 But this past week, you saw a major drop in the stock market as well.

Speaker 7 very volatile especially as ai stocks plunged um you had what open ai saying that they want the united states government to serve as a backstop for their debt and guarantee the debt and also to fund all of their expansion Seriously, that's the while the American people are starving to death, while the Trump regime is blocking snap payments and ripping away people's health care, and where the Republicans look at an offer, just extend the ACA subsidies for one year.

Speaker 7 And Republicans say that's a non-starter, while Donald Trump in the morning is making these idiotic posts about, let's just get rid of, let's just give people a few thousand dollars and then they'll, and then they'll be great.

Speaker 7 Let me give you the actual idea what we should do, Donald, idiot. Let me explain it for you and spell it out.
We should have universal health care in the United States. It should be free.
