Speaker 3 Millions of voters head to the polls this week to decide on everything from redistricting maps to who leads their states and cities.

Speaker 4 We break down the most pivotal races to watch.

Speaker 3 I'm Daily Wire executive editor John Bickley with Georgia Howe. It's Monday, November 3rd.
This is Morning Wire.

Speaker 5 Arctic Frost is Joe Biden's watergate.

Speaker 5 Merrick Garland was a fundamentally corrupt attorney general.

Speaker 5 Jack Smith was a fundamentally corrupt prosecutor.

Speaker 4 Amid bombshell discoveries about the Biden FBI's Arctic Frost dragnet, a familiar federal judge draws fresh scrutiny.

Speaker 3 And President Trump threatens military action in Nigeria, giving the country's leaders an ultimatum: protect Christians or else.

Speaker 8 This is a genocide that's been going on by Islamic terrorist organizations.

Speaker 4 Thanks for waking up with Morning Wire. Stay tuned.
We have the news you need to know.

Speaker 6 Running a small business is anything but small. For business owners, it's all-consuming from day one.
Every decision feels massive and new challenges arise daily.

Speaker 6 What makes the biggest difference, though, is having the right platform with all the tools needed for success, one that grows the business and simplifies the complex decisions that come with entrepreneurship.

Speaker 6 That's where Shopify comes in. Shopify's point-of-sale system acts as your unified command center, seamlessly connecting in-store and online operations across up to a thousand locations.

Speaker 6 This means customers can shop however they want, whether that's endless aisle browsing, buying online and picking up in the store, or traditional shopping while your staff has everything they need to close the sale every single time.

Speaker 6 But here's the real advantage: since acquiring customers costs so much, Shopify POS helps you keep the ones you have through personalized experiences and first-party data that gives your marketing team a real edge.

Speaker 6 The proof is in the numbers. An EY report shows businesses using Shopify POS see a 22% better total cost of ownership and an average 8.9% sales boost compared to the competition.

Speaker 6 Get all the big stuff for your small business right with Shopify. Sign up for your $1 per month trial period and start selling today at shopify.com slash Morningwire.

Speaker 4 It's election week with millions of Americans heading to the polls for the first time since Donald Trump's victory.

Speaker 3 Daily Wire senior editor Cabot Phillips is here with more on the races that are up for grabs and what they'll tell us about the midterms and beyond.

Speaker 3 Hey, Cabot, so we've been tracking these races really closely. Several key ones here that have gained a lot of national attention.
Where should we start?

Speaker 9 Well, let's go to the big apple for the race that's getting the most attention and for good reason. By tomorrow night, America's largest city could be run by an avowed socialist.

Speaker 9 34-year-old Zoran Mamdani came out of nowhere this year to win the Democratic primary, and he has maintained a significant double-digit lead throughout the entire election.

Speaker 9 Remember, he's running against Republican Curtis Sliwa and Independent Andrew Cuomo, who initially ran as a Democrat before getting crushed in the primary.

Speaker 9 At the moment, polling shows Mom Dani with about a 14-point lead on average.

Speaker 9 And while there was one poll this week that showed a single-digit race, it looks like right now Mom Dani has all the enthusiasm and the momentum.

Speaker 9 It would take a big upset at this point for him to lose.

Speaker 3 Now, one of the big stories out of New York is Democratic leaders being hesitant to back Mom Dani, some very high-profile Democrat figures. What is the latest on that front?

Speaker 9 Yeah, typically, if you win the mayoral primary in New York City, all Democratic leaders around the country get on board with your campaign.

Speaker 9 But with the exception of far-left members like Alexandria Acosta-Cortez and Bernie Sanders,

Speaker 9 Democrats more broadly have been very hesitant to get on board with his campaign. They're clearly concerned over tying themselves to some of his more far-left socialist rhetoric.

Speaker 9 And while New York Governor Kathy Hochul and minority leader Hakeem Jeffries eventually were pressured in to giving an endorsement, albeit a very late one, in an extraordinary move, high-profile Democrats like Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and New York Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand have yet to do so.

Speaker 9 And one more interesting note about where exactly Momdani's support is coming from.

Speaker 9 One of the latest polls shows that among voters born in America, Andrew Cuomo was actually ahead by nine points, a significant lead.

Speaker 9 But among foreign-born voters, Momdani holds a stunning 38-point advantage. So that could make all the difference tomorrow.

Speaker 3 Now, let's move one state over to New Jersey, a surprisingly close governor's race there. What is the latest?

Speaker 9 Yeah, Republicans have had their eye on the Garden State ever since the 2024 election when Donald Trump got within six points, surprising a lot of people. Remember, in 2020, he lost by 16%.

Speaker 9 So New Jersey actually had the second largest shift to the right of any state in the country.

Speaker 9 A few months ago, this race looked like just a blowout with Democrat Mikey Sherrill holding a massive lead over Republican Jack Chitterelli. But Chitterelli has gained major ground lately.

Speaker 9 The latest polls show him within about three points. Now, keep in mind, New Jersey has about 800,000 more registered Democrats than Republicans.

Speaker 9 So the big question on election day will be how independents fare and if Republicans can motivate enough of that right-wing base to come out without Donald Trump on the ticket. All right.

Speaker 3 So it looks like turnout and enthusiasm are going to be the keys for that race. Let's go to the other big governor's race in Virginia.
Where do things stand there now?

Speaker 9 Yeah, remember, four years ago, Democrats were really embarrassed when Republican Glenn Youngkin pulled a massive upset to take the governor's mansion there.

Speaker 9 But this time it's going to take an even bigger upset from Republican Winsom Earl Sears if she's going to defeat Abigail Spanberger.

Speaker 9 Now, this governor's race has in many ways been defined actually by the attorney general election that's going on in the state, especially from Jay Jones, the Democratic nominee for attorney general.

Speaker 9 Last month, leaked text messages from 2022 showed him wishing death on Republican colleagues in Virginia, even saying he hoped their children died because, quote, only when people feel pain personally do they move on policy.

Speaker 9 Now, despite those horrific messages, Jones stayed on the ticket, though it did lead lead to him cratering in the polls.

Speaker 9 Now, the big question is whether the Democrat Spanberger will be dragged down by that scandal.

Speaker 9 She has refused to withdraw her support from Jones, and Republicans have done everything possible to tie the two together.

Speaker 9 Here's Sears, for example, challenging her on that refusal to condemn him in a recent debate.

Speaker 10 Would it take him pulling the trigger? Is that what would do it? And then you would say he needs to get out of the race, Abigail?

Speaker 10 You have nothing to say?

Speaker 9 Spanberger still appears to hold a significant lead in the polls. We'll see just how impactful this scandal is going to be down the stretch.

Speaker 3 Like you said, a heavy lift there in Virginia for sure. We'll have a lot more coverage on this with you in the coming days.
Kevin, thanks for reporting. Absolutely.

Speaker 3 New whistleblower documents expose a Biden-era enemies list buried deep in a federal investigation codenamed Arctic Frost.

Speaker 3 Republicans say this probe, which targeted President Trump and hundreds of his allies, weaponized the DOJ for political reasons.

Speaker 4 Here to break it all down is Daily Wire culture reporter Megan Basham. So, Megan, this was a sprawling operation where the only real through line was political affiliation.

Speaker 4 How did a probe like this get greenlit in the first place?

Speaker 2 Yeah, Georgia, so Arctic Frost started in April of 2022, and at that point, it was led by then-agent Timothy Thiebaud.

Speaker 2 It was initially aimed at probing alleged efforts by Trump allies to overturn the 2020 election results.

Speaker 2 When it was taken over by special counsel Jack Smith in November of that year, it then ballooned into the basis for Trump's election interference indictments.

Speaker 2 And of course, we know that those were later dismissed. But now, whistleblower records obtained by Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley show that a whole lot more was going on at the time.

Speaker 2 So, Senator Grassley addressed this at a press conference on Thursday.

Speaker 11 Arctic Frost

Speaker 11 was the vehicle by which FBI agents and DOJ prosecutors could improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus.

Speaker 11 Contrary to what Smith has said publicly, this was clearly a phishing expedition.

Speaker 2 Senator Grassley also revealed that the approval for these indictments came from the top of the Biden administration, including Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray.

Speaker 4 So you noted that this involved hundreds of entities and individuals. Who did that include? What kind of organizations did they look at?

Speaker 2 Yeah, so Senator Grassley released 197 subpoenas issued in 2023 alone, and that included non-public grand jury material that demanded everything from emails to phone metadata to bank records and credit reports.

Speaker 2 We're talking 34 individuals and 163 businesses, many conservative groups, including TPUSA.

Speaker 2 And then subpoenas also sought communications from nine senators, including Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham, Ron Johnson, all Republicans, those senators, by the way, and plus House members and White House aides like Stephen Miller and Jared Kushner.

Speaker 2 And they even went after media companies, Fox News, Sinclair, Newsmax, demanding donor lists and fundraising data.

Speaker 2 And then, get this, Senator Cruz revealed that his ATT cell records were subpoenaed, but ATT flat out refused to comply with that subpoena.

Speaker 2 A federal judge even gagged AT ⁇ T from informing Senator Cruz about this for a year.

Speaker 2 Now, Verizon, on the other hand, they complied without a fight, handing over records, including those related to Senator Cruz's landline, and that helped map calls to Trump allies.

Speaker 2 So Congressman Byron Donalds told Fox Business that there need to be disbarments over this.

Speaker 7 First of all, anybody that was in the chain of approving these wiretaps or these subpoenas, they need to lose their law license.

Speaker 2 Now, that said, Smith and his team are arguing that all of these subpoenas were justified.

Speaker 4 Now, is there an effort at this point to expose more of what happened and maybe get some accountability? And if so, what kind of repercussions could we see?

Speaker 2 Well, one, Georgia, there's impeachment. So, Senator Cruz is demanding that the House impeach D.C.

Speaker 2 Chief Judge James Boesberg, who was an Obama appointee, for approving a 2023 gag order that silenced carriers like AT ⁇ T from alerting the targets of these subpoenas.

Speaker 2 Cruz said there was no facts or evidence to justify these subpoenas, and Congressman Brandon Gill is drafting articles calling Boesberg a radical activist judge who enabled spying on senators.

Speaker 5 That was an absolute abuse of power. He is not being a judge.
He is being a partisan left-wing activist.

Speaker 2 And then second, we could actually see some people charged with crimes here. Some conservative legal experts are pushing for criminal charges against DOJ and FBI staffers.

Speaker 2 You're also seeing some calls for civil suits here.

Speaker 2 But something to keep in mind is that this is likely just the beginning of Arctic Frost revelations because Senator Grassley says there are more records yet to be released. All right.

Speaker 4 Well, we're going to stay on top of those developments. Megan, thanks for reporting.

Speaker 2 Yep, my pleasure.

Speaker 4 President Trump issued a stark warning to Nigeria over the persecution of Christians while he continues to flex U.S. might in South America.

Speaker 3 Here to talk about the president's latest moves in foreign policy is Daily Wire reporter Tim Pierce A. Tim.

Speaker 3 So over the weekend, Trump warns Nigeria of potential military action, turned a lot of heads. We recently reported on what's happening in that country.
Very alarming situation there.

Speaker 3 What prompted this statement from Trump?

Speaker 8 Right. Trump said the U.S.
military would move into Nigeria, guns ablazing, unless Nigeria takes steps to stop the persecution of Christians.

Speaker 8 As we've reported before, Nigeria is notorious for attacks against Christians. Some people have gone as far as to say that there is a genocide of Christians going on.

Speaker 8 Clearly, it's now on Trump's radar as well. He posted on True Social on Saturday that Nigeria needs to move fast or the U.S.

Speaker 8 military will move fast to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.

Speaker 8 That came a day after Trump had announced that he had designated Nigeria a country of particular concern.

Speaker 8 That's a designation that means that Nigeria has been identified for particularly severe violations of religious freedom under the International Religious Freedom Act.

Speaker 8 This is actually a redesignation from President Trump's first term.

Speaker 8 Former President Joe Biden removed Nigeria from the CPC list after his administration said that it didn't meet the criteria for such a designation.

Speaker 8 As far as the scope of the persecution, according to one report, more than 7,000 Christians have been killed in Nigeria just since the start of the year, which makes Nigeria easily the deadliest country for Christians globally.

Speaker 3 Right, which lines up with what we've detailed on this show. Now, what has the reaction been to Trump's statement?

Speaker 8 Well, Senator Ted Cruz, we interviewed him on this show not too long ago. He welcomed the news.

Speaker 8 He said that the designation is, quote, a critical step in holding accountable and changing the behavior of Nigerian officials who have facilitated and created an environment conducive to the outrages in Nigeria.

Speaker 8 He has also introduced legislation to take it a step further, punishing in particular officials who push blasphemy and Sharia laws in Nigeria.

Speaker 13 This legislation would impose serious sanctions on any individual government official that is complicit or acquiescing in that persecution.

Speaker 13 Those blasphemy and sharia laws are a tool that is frequently used to oppress Christians.

Speaker 8 On the other hand, the Nigerian president has said that the accusations of Christian persecution do not reflect our national reality and that Nigeria is a country with constitutional guarantees to protect citizens of all faiths.

Speaker 8 A spokesman for the president added Sunday that he would welcome U.S. help in fighting terrorism as long as it recognizes our territorial integrity.

Speaker 3 Well, a situation to monitor for sure. Now, in South America, Trump has been heavily involved there.
We have some conflicting reports about potential strikes in Venezuela.

Speaker 6 What have we learned there?

Speaker 8 Right. The Wall Street Journal reported last week that the president has looked at strikes against Venezuelan military targets.

Speaker 8 The Miami Herald reported that strikes could come at any time, though Trump has denied everything. Now, these reported targets would be of military assets used in the drug trade.

Speaker 8 And if the president moves forward with the strikes, it would serve not only as a clear message to drug traffickers, but to President Nicolas Maduro himself.

Speaker 8 The Trump administration wants him out of the government. The sooner, the better for him.
And this kind of pressure is the opposite of what Trump has done in Argentina, for example.

Speaker 8 There, the country's libertarian president, Javier Malay, won a pretty massive victory in the midterm elections.

Speaker 8 And at least part of that is due to President Trump taking action to stabilize Argentina's economy ahead of the election with a credit line from the U.S. government.

Speaker 8 Trump also threatened to pull that aid if Millay's party lost out.

Speaker 8 But fortunately for Millay, his party secured about 41% of the vote, well past the threshold he needed to protect his free market reforms.

Speaker 3 Tim, thanks so much for reporting.

Speaker 8 Thanks for having me on.

Speaker 4 Thanks for waking up with us. And for those listening to the show, you can now also see our smiling faces for free on Daily Wire Plus.
