Without a doubt.

Hello, everybody, and welcome to Geekenders.

We have a guest.

We have a guest for the first time in a million years.

Is it relevant that's a good idea?

It's been a while.

I'm your friendly neighborhood lore nerd.

We are a very special species.

Every game has one.

I just happen to be in the space of League of Legends.

And yeah, that's my specialty.

If you want to know the story of literally any one of the 170 champions currently in the game, I am probably your guy.

That's incredible.

Did Jesse tell you that I recently started playing League for the very first time?

Oh, poor you.

Why?

Why?

I don't, like, why, why?

So I was like, oh my gosh, he does League lore.

That's fun.

I mean,

so I'm going to have a blast here.

I'm going to be honest.

Because

just like how when, you know, when people are young and they have their like one person that they look up to and they are like, one day, maybe I'll like talk to them.

You guys happen to be that for me.

Like literally, I started making videos when I was 12 or 13.

It started when I was watching Total Biscuit making videos on cataclysm back in the day.

Jesse was known as OMF Chikara.

Yes.

Dodger had a really funny video I remember that she sent to Husky.

Like, I know you guys.

Oh my god.

You are

old school.

Like, yeah, yeah.

I mean, so...

Keep going, keep going.

So

I legitimately have a screenshot on my own computer where I stole Jesse's background.

Do you remember way back in the day when you were making like YouTube art for like the channel for the background?

Yeah.

Like way back in the day, you could like make your own image for the entirety back for the entire background of your YouTube channel, right?

Yes, yeah, yeah.

Well, on the side,

I downloaded your background just so I could just put it into Photoshop and see the overlay.

So

I knew where to put the little buttons and stuff like that.

I still have your old or your old OMFG kind of background.

There were like two guys.

It was you and someone else.

Yeah, and Pride.

I don't know.

I still have that original image that you had on my old computer.

So yeah, I know you guys, which is going to be very creepy.

No, no, no.

I feel like you've misjudged us completely.

If anything, this is what I need regularly.

I was going to say,

I just, I just really hope you don't walk away being like, well, that was terrible.

Never meet your heroes.

Look, you're a parent.

I'm a parent.

I have two kids.

It's like, I don't have time for drama.

How old are they?

Tell me everything.

My older son is four years old.

My younger daughter is not even one.

Sorry, no, one.

What am I saying?

Sorry.

Time flies.

Okay, I'm a good parent.

I believe you.

Yeah.

Oh, little tiny children.

Yeah.

So, yeah, I don't have time for drama.

It's like, I'm in League of Legends.

I hate drama.

I don't have time for it.

Like, who cares?

Actually, who cares?

I feel like those two things are a little bit...

To say I'm going to participate so heavily in the league world, but also I want nothing to do with drama or toxicity.

So it's fun.

It's fun to talk about monetization.

Like that one, that one is fun because like Riot has like, they are trying everything, which is like, which is why like in Valorant, you have really expensive weapons.

Like, my God, they have like $90 per like gun or like a small bundle.

In League, they are now trying the gacha system.

So it's like,

they are really trying everything.

And it's hilarious to see like Riot try.

And like, of course, it's kind of fun to poke fun at that.

Like, Riot kind of going heavy on the monetization.

So like, that's that's as far as my drama goes.

And then, sometimes, when, like, there is a

because, like, every champion has their own, like, mains subreddit.

So, there's like Victor mains, and there's like Warwick mains, and like, I will try to center it this as much as possible, but there was, for example, a time where the singen mains and the warwick mains were literally uh comparing the size of their genitals.

Uh, that is a real thing that happened, okay.

Uh, so of course, I made the video on that because, like, you know, that's at least like funny drama, so funny, yeah.

I have my line, like when it comes to drama it has to be funny

yeah you have to punch up you can't uh punch down in the drama world otherwise you're just

yes yeah yeah

i was having a discussion earlier with my lovely friend summer who has been the one introducing me to league so

they

have these like alternate aram maps right Yep.

Why don't they just keep using those?

Why do they put all of the work into making the ARAM maps and adding new announcers and stuff and then just take it away and give the old map back?

Oh, wait, do you mean like, wait, hold on.

So is now, actually, I haven't played A-Ram now.

Are we now back to like the IC area for Eliord?

When it comes to the maps.

Whatever the like original

Icy one, essentially.

Yeah.

They had like a pilt over one for Arcane.

I like that one.

It turns out there's a lot of people who didn't like it because like imagine you're playing the same map for like nine years and you know the layout which is really boring.

It's one layout.

there's nothing.

But like now, right, was like, let's try something different.

We'll give them a special, like, tiny little side lane next to that, which is like the little, like, you know, it was like cut off into like two sides.

Oh, I see.

Because there were like pillars.

Some people really didn't like that.

And they didn't like, like, oh, now I just can't see the enemy.

How is it possible?

It's just one lane.

They should be in front of me.

Now they are to the side.

I can't handle that.

Right.

That's why.

Can I, real quick, this is not even about the concept of the maps and people's like of them.

Are they bringing that map back for reasons related to anything in their new season stuff?

Now that they move away from Piltover?

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

No, no, no, no.

Is that like if it were going back?

Yeah, yeah, that one is purely like,

I was like, yep.

No, that's why.

That one is purely just like, we don't want to deal with like the upset, even though it wasn't that big, to be honest.

I think the overall ARM community was probably fine.

But like, you still have the ARM veterans.

Like, there are people who only play ARM.

and they are like, I just want the most casual experience imaginable, and I want that.

And like, the moment Riot started tinkering with that, they were tinkering with like the core audience for the casual side.

So, I kind of get that.

And for just for the record, for people who don't know what the hell the two of them are talking about, ARM is all rando, all random, all mid.

So, it's one big lane, and everyone kind of sucks unless you know everyone.

And your characters are random.

Essentially, yeah and so it's it's uh it's not the league when you think of league when you're thinking league of legends you're thinking like the three lanes got someone jungle it you got you're thinking that it's much more chill you get currency way faster so you can upgrade faster it's a good way to like try out i mean championship speaking of which like very like this season There is a new thing that Ratt is trying.

They call it the Swift Play.

It's up on EU, and I know they are releasing it slowly through regions.

I have no idea if it's up in the US.

Oh, is this like easy Summoner's Rift?

Yes, it's like a simple version.

Like, hey, if you die a lot, it doesn't matter.

We're gonna give you gold anyway.

So, it's like, just everyone, just try to have fun.

That's bas basically Swift Play.

What I thought it would be is like, hey, Swift Play is gonna be like a faster version of Summoner's Rift because normal game of league is like 40 minutes.

Right.

So, I jumped into Swift Play, uh, it was 35 minutes, and I was like,

I think I'm missing the point here.

Did it feel more streamlined though?

Did it?

I don't know, I was winning, so I didn't feel like the bad side.

So I see

I played it twice, basically.

Okay.

Yeah, because a lot of people were excited about that.

I sort of assumed that it was in response to, because they had like record signups, right?

After season two of Arcane, and most people played for one day, and then they were like, oh, this is not a good representation of what this game is.

I don't want to play anymore.

So it made sense to say, okay, we need to introduce something that's going to give people the idea of what Summoner's Rift is, but in sort of a Monopoly Junior kind of way, where it's like, this isn't going to take forever.

You don't have to know a bunch of stuff.

You could just play.

And then if you want something more intensive, you can play normal Summoner's Rift, right?

But it's funny if it's basically the same amount of time.

Yep.

And that's exactly what they are trying.

Like, they know there's a lot of new people and like casual people who want to play something, but like the moment you dive into Summoner's Rift, being beaten normal or ranked,

not a great experience.

And now, especially now, there's a really funny thing.

So, there is a new mechanic in league because, like, now that they introduced a new seasonal system, which means like every three months, there's gonna be like a new theme, essentially, for the game, or like three or four months, something like that.

So, this season that just started, they have a new mechanic where they really want people to be aggressive because we are in Noxus.

Noxian people are like all about, you know, they're just bloodthirsty conquerors.

So, they want to be like, they want to make the game feel like you are in that season, which is like, let's make it so that you get special bonuses for like getting objectives early so which means like get first blood get like first tower get the first dragon as fast as possible this resulted in a really hilarious thing where everyone like the from the first second everyone is rushing immediately at the other team trying to get first blood right and of course when they don't the toxicity has never been higher so right now

League, which has been notorious for being toxic, now has a problem where the toxicity has never been higher higher because this one mechanic really helps that.

Is this in an effort to switch up the meta?

Yep, to be like, we're going to introduce like new things that make this.

Let's make every season feel fresh and different.

That's their idea.

It does feel fresh.

I'll tell you that.

Freshly stanky from

all the toxicity.

In a while, yep.

It's crazy to me.

And I like they're trying to capture the

moment, but it's very funny to see

the success of Arcane and then the immediate success of just being

remotely connected with the new cinematic they released, just because it's the same art style and they have like one of the same characters and same universe and just the amount of people who watch that

who clearly aren't going to go play league, but they just watch because they're like, oh, more,

is so funny to me because it's very clear that the audiences that they have,

it's it feels a lot like

when

a YouTuber has been doing, let's say, World of Warcraft for years and years and years and years.

And then they makes like a one-off thing, and that one-off thing

blows up, and they are

just all right.

Well, I gotta make more of that.

That's clearly what people love.

And they start making that and start leaving the wow stuff behind.

And all the wow fans are like we were here for the warcraft stuff what is this and and it's funny because there's so much success for league lore now yes where everyone's really hype and they want more of it but i'm gonna be real every league of legends player i know who plays the game is like i have never once cared about the lore not once i look i noticed i noted

even credor as a player is just like brother they wanted me to watch echo every echo player sucks i'm so angry at Echo.

I don't like mid-lane.

I got to go against a stupid time stop thing.

He's going to die that he's back to full life.

That's stupid.

And he's like, you want me to cheer for him?

It is so funny to me that that's where they're at.

And I think a lot of content creators and YouTubers can like, we've experienced that weird thing of like, okay.

It's clear people are pulling me in one direction, but in doing so, I'm going to piss off a lot of other people who want just better game mechanics, better, you know, video game things rather than lore that now suddenly thrust on the game in the form of like, well, we're changing Victor.

And they're like, not my Victor.

That whole thing.

That was cruel.

Like the channel.

Yeah, that was brilliant.

Like Victor mains, oh my, I've never seen a community dedicated more to like trying to bring back Victor.

Like they, they had petitions.

They were sending mails to Riot.

They were like,

they had like a whole website where you could just like submit your own letter to Riot so that they could like, you know, then later put it to uh give it to riot their goal was like stop the stop the update immediately and i was just sitting here i was like riot probably put a lot of money and a lot of time into remaking the model i am not sure that's gonna happen yeah plus i i mean obviously they were like with season two and the way those characters look by the end we have to have some representation in the game and for exactly one day it was worth it for the one day all the arcane people went there and played for a little bit it was worth it Yep.

I mean, like, you can see the success of Arcane, because the new cinematic that came out at the beginning of the season, most popular cinematic in the history of League of Legends, in five days, it broke the view record, which was on the cinematic from, I don't know, it was like 2023, something like that.

Or it was 22, because it was up for three years.

It was gathering views for three years.

New cinematic came out after Arcane in five days, it destroyed the record.

So like the hype is still there, but right just can't really get those people to play league.

I feel like I've approached this in a really good way.

So here's here's my tips and tricks for anybody who's interested in playing league.

Okay.

Find a friend who knows a lot about league and loves playing it, but isn't like super sweaty and toxic about it.

And then play A-ram.

Just play A-Ram with them for a while.

And eventually you're going to find characters where you're like, man, I love it when I roll this character.

Man, I love it when I get to be Heimerdinger.

and then

that not so sweaty not toxic friend will be like hey maybe we could do summoner's rift but just against bots and then you can play whatever character you want and you'll go that's a great idea and then you'll just play against bots and then you can play against harder and harder bots and then you can decide for yourself do i want to jump into the rift or do i want to just keep playing against bots and having a nice time also you should turn off all chat you should just turn off oh my yes i have not played with chat in years and it's

not done.

And I didn't realize I turned it off until it was obvious I was missing stuff.

I think people were like talking about things.

Right, no.

And so now when you make a new account, I think the default is you can't see enemy chat.

That's the default.

Like you can't see the enemy because if you're getting flamed, the chances are you usually get triggered by the enemy.

So that one is off by default.

And I, or it might be that to a certain level, just chat is gone.

And then at like level 20 or something like that, they're like, we'll we'll we'll give you a chance just like have a look at soft launch chat for you yeah and then immediately just turn it off you know it's awesome like when he when the two of you talk about this it reminds me of that time that i was trying to get a friend addicted to drugs and i was like come on come out to the club we're just gonna dance and have a little fun we're gonna like you know and then when they get to the club you're like hey man This weed is so good.

You gotta hit this shit.

It's not addictive.

You're just gonna like mellow out, dude.

And then once they're mellow, you're like, hey, hey, you know what would get you out of that funk you're in right now?

Cocaine.

This will just jack

and you're going to be like, yo, and you're going to have such a good night.

And we're going to party like crazy.

And if you want to get sweaty, you can.

You can keep going.

This ecstasy will get you crazy.

But like, you don't have to.

You can stop with the cocaine.

It's chill.

That's what it sounds like.

And I'm so happy for the two of you.

Look, I don't have experience with acids like specifically, okay?

But toxicity, sure.

Like, there's some kind of like, you know,

it's similar.

All this to say, I feel like I wound up being sort of the ideal person from their perspective as a company to watch the new cinematic.

I just watched it today, actually.

And when certain characters were popping up, I was like, is that a character I can play?

They look really cool, you know?

Yep.

Which is, I think, what they're hoping, right?

Is to show off these characters and have everyone be like, ooh, who's that?

Like, the best thing that happened from Arcane is that it awoke what is referred to, and these are not my words, okay, but

it's what it's referred to as the horny audience.

Yeah.

Because Arcane is Arcane, right?

Yeah.

And so like people saw like there was Katarina and Elise and they were like the first reaction from Twitter was like, are they together?

They have to be together, right?

This is like, this is

the same, the same people who made Arcane made this.

It has to be, right?

So

there's a lot of that.

And it's hilarious to just see people just like

catching random champions in the cinematic and they are immediately trying to ship them because hey, it's Fortische and Fortish like to do that, but

there should be a line in the lore that shouldn't be crossed probably.

Yeah, but they clearly

like

they know what they're doing, which is very funny to me because you can't end a cinematic with like the power couple who gives strong Jesse and James vibes.

Like you just can't like there's I was waiting for them to be like oh team rocket Yes Well like it has the exact same energy and I'm here for it I love that you don't need to know a damn thing about these characters their names their abilities Nothing you're just like I automatically get the energy coming from this character and if that's the space I want to be in in theory I can go play that in the game.

Here's

league league is not that experienced when you're like

I can't wait to see what these sass mongers are up to and then you play the game and it's like I will destroy you crows attack and you're like what

which is why

which is why everyone's waiting for the MMO like everyone like literally everyone is just sitting here being like all right We love this universe.

There is one way to explore such a universe with an MMO Do you think an MMO is actually gonna happen?

Oh yeah like that works it's yeah

works no yes, it's because like if you look at the job listings they are constantly updating so like it's obvious they are are working on stuff and also uh Trina Mir the co-founder of Riot that's like his baby like he's involved in the MMO and so like it seems like he just wants to make the MMO because he just likes playing MMOs because like you know hardcore WoW is now happening with like the only fangs guild and stuff like that.

He's there with us just playing.

So like the the and and he's not alone.

There's a bunch of the the devs working on the right MMO playing WoW hardcore as well.

So like the devs are constantly getting involved in what's happening around the MMOs and they are working on something.

So I would say, like, 2032, maybe.

I don't know.

No insider information, okay?

I'm just like,

20 years.

I don't know.

But yeah, MMO, that's for the high base.

Obviously, it's not going to be any time soon they capitalize on the arcane excitement.

So it's really up to them to continue bringing people in.

with like, you know, to keep up that capitalization.

But again, it's not, I don't know how much it's going to translate to people playing League, but the brilliance is they have so many characters that they can keep swinging, if you know what I mean.

So they can have a whole other series and have a whole other finale with a whole other set of characters that's going to get a whole other set of people to be like, I got to check this game out.

And they'll just go back to it.

Or like most people that I know, played League a bunch, quit league, watched Arcane, got super FOMO, went back and played.

It's like, it's like, don't even, no, don't even, don't play League.

Play TFT.

Genuinely, just play TFT if you want to play something from Riot.

Amazing game.

I recently learned it is extremely likely, like, Riot never shows their numbers about the games.

It is extremely likely that TFT is actually way bigger than League.

It's just like no one knows.

Because like, the stream numbers

on Twitch, not that big.

It's like respectable.

But like...

League is still better because everyone likes watching League.

No one likes playing League.

And that's the thing.

So like if you like this universe, just play the Riot Forge games, play Ruined King or Song of Nunu King is great, ruined King is fantastic.

Ruined King is amazing if you like RPGs.

Song of Nunu, if you just like, if you like the old, like, Benjo-Kazooie, just like a platformer for fun, amazing game for that.

I want to play, is that the Yordel one?

No, no, the Yordel Bandletales, that's Bandletales, whatever that one.

I want to play that one really bad.

It's pretty good.

It's like, I'm not that big into like, it's not even, it's like a mix of like a sim game and Stardew

that's right up Dodger's alley.

Yeah, you're probably

you're throwing parties for Yordles

perfect.

Great.

I love a good Yordle.

That's some hobbit ass there is a lot of ready though.

Like there is a lot of dialogue and scores.

There is also something Dodger loves.

Okay, good.

Good.

You'll be wasting a lot of Yordles.

Fantastic.

I've prepared for this my whole life.

Yeah, you sold this game, if anything.

You were like, oh, somebody Yordles.

I just have to play it before Tales from the Shire comes out.

Because I think based on the Steam numbers, the two most popular ones were Ruined King, and then the second one was Song of Nunu.

Which takes you into the Freddy Ord.

Hey, if you watch the cinematic and you like the trolls and stuff like that in the north, that's where this game is.

Except it's really wholesome and has some dark twists.

It's very wholesome.

Dark twists.

A few dark twists.

It's really wholesome until it's awful.

And then it's wholesome again, maybe.

Fantastic.

So when you're not

researching league, playing league, involved in the riot universe, what's like your bag?

What do you enjoy playing?

I'm trying to think like, oh,

screw it.

I'm making my own game.

Okay.

It's not technically out.

Like people, like people, people know because I sometimes talk about it on stream.

I'm the guy who just likes getting better.

And so like, you know, when it comes to YouTube, it's amazing that you can make your own video.

Like I'm a one-man army.

I make my video.

I edit it.

I do the audio.

i do the thumbnail i do everything and then i was like i really like playing games uh so i was like you know what i'm gonna make one so i started working on a rage game which is like jumping stuff something like that which is probably the easiest thing you can do and i just want to release a game just to see how it works like what is it like to make a game and then like if you need to patch it like how does that work right on steam like Do I upload a new file?

I don't know.

So I just want to learn the process of making games.

So I picked up Unreal Engine because it's the easiest thing in the world.

And yeah, I'm making my my own game.

But when it comes to other games,

I was on my gacha arc where there was a time where people loved watching me play Genshin and Star Ail and stuff like that.

Right.

I had really good time with those games until there was a character I really wanted.

And I was like, I am not putting down another $100.

I'm just not.

And that was the time I was like, nope, I'm done.

So that took me like three years.

I was like, for three years, I was on my gacha arc.

Outside of that, I don't know.

It's the classic, like Bellatro,

which ironically got me back to like Slater's Fire for no reason.

I don't know.

Throw me a ball.

What's that?

Lagoon.

Wow, I play wow still.

Can I interrupt here really quick?

Yeah, sure.

Dodger, Dodger, can we have a side conversation really quick?

Yeah, of course, of course.

One moment.

Yeah, what's up?

Remember when, like, what it was like to have hope and drive and talent?

Yeah.

And, like,

you just really wanted to be

creating and just remember that time?

And sometimes

you'll see someone who's like, yeah, like, who has the talent and the drive and they're like in it.

It just, it's like,

you can see it like, man,

they're, they're so pure and innocent and they're just doing their best, like genuinely their best.

And you're like, wow, I remember like living like that.

I remember what that was.

And it was beat out of me.

Just beat out of me.

And I don't have, I'm a husk now.

A husk of a man.

Yeah.

And it's, if anything, I'm a little jealous because I see

where I was and how much I just wanted to create.

And I did it all myself.

And

now I just throw it at other people and tell them to edit it.

We need to make sure that

we only inject positivity.

Okay.

And find cocaine.

I feel like we need cocaine.

And find cocaine.

Right, right, right.

Right, right.

Okay.

I feel like maybe we got you.

Whoa, hold on.

You do not have one of those Taco Bell

toys.

I mean, you were like, yeah, where would I find a Taco Bell?

What?

Yeah, good point.

Good point.

Hold on.

I was about to be like, what?

Who said

it's a McDonald's because I would say on the bottom, I don't know what it is.

I'm telling you, Taco Bell is where all the Star Wars toys.

When my dad was in the U.S., he probably got it when I was a a kid somewhere.

I don't know.

It's so cute.

Anyway, what are we talking about?

Nothing.

Don't worry about it.

That's fine.

No, don't worry about it.

Yeah.

Actually, if you're curious,

it's been a weird long road to get Necrid on the podcast because

we met at the Arcane finale.

Oh, okay.

So now this is actually new.

I actually knew you were invited to the first one, right?

To the first Arcane.

Because I was invited there

and I got COVID.

So I didn't go.

My plus one went there.

And so like, he was like taking pictures with like people and stuff like that.

And I saw, I think I saw you post a picture on social media somewhere and you were like at the bar at the last drop.

And I was like, god damn it, I could have met him.

Here's the thing.

While the finale of arcane event was very cute,

the previous, the first season finale event,

might have been the coolest thing I've been to in a long time.

And I hate saying this because you weren't there, but straight up,

they like recreated, like, no, Zon, like an underground, there was a bar, they had people and characters, they had little events going on.

When you got there, you were assigned one of the underground gangs, and so you had to like work with them to do stuff.

And so there'd be little scenarios like, you know, the dude with the jaw and like the one lady who had the mask with the red hair.

They were all there.

And they would all be like, all right, here's our plan.

We got to do this whole thing.

And then they had like a whole, you know, vibe-jinx moment, and it was like, Whoa, but then when it opened up, and you could actually go into the city,

there were like vendors who were in character, there was like uh, there was a bar where you got your own mug, there was a bunch of, you know, obviously stuff to buy.

You were, it was crazy, and I was like, This is cool as shit.

Also, it was in that weird space before, I think, Ella Pornell really blew up.

So she was just kind of like there, chilling, hanging, Hanging.

And no one was bugging her.

No one was like, wow, who's that?

Now I bet she couldn't go anywhere.

But it was like crazy to see the, it was, it was fascinating.

I was like, like, I'm not that mad that I got COVID because ironically, when our, when the first Arcane launched, that meant I could just stay at home.

And better than that, okay, I'm a parent, right?

So I was isolated from everyone else for like a week, which means I was like, all right, I have a week where I I am locked in my office and I can just work as Arcane is coming out with Arcane being a really big thing from Riot that's like perfect for my audience.

So for that week, I just grinded the crap out of just Arcane in general.

It was the best month of my career, just based on numbers.

I was constantly on the trending page on YouTube because of that, because of the fact that I was just stuck at home.

So like, it is a blessing and a curse at the same time that I wasn't wasn't there.

It was, I will say, it was a vastly different experience in that.

So, the event that we were at, there was a huge auditorium where a bunch of people were watching, and we got to witness the horniest reaction to any scene in the history of TV ever.

That was so good.

That Kate Vice scene, like, the crowd lost their mind.

Like, just like what

the crowd, like, all the reactions.

All the reactions were good.

When Maddie, spoiler, you know, Maddie scene scene happened.

When that scene happened, because again, remember, this is an audience of really dedicated people to Arcane because they had to buy a ticket there.

Like, you don't buy a ticket for a show that's on Netflix that are going to watch at home, right?

So already, these people are extremely dedicated.

There is a really high number of cosplayers, cosplaying Caitlin and Vai specifically.

So now imagine

really quickly, just like knowing what happens and how there's potential deaths, watching the people who cosplayed as a potential death character was so funny because they were like, No!

That was the best.

When like Caitlyn

was endangered, when Caitlyn was endangered, right?

You had like the audience, especially like the cosplayers and like all the like diehard fans, they were like, No, this is not gonna happen.

And then the Maddie twist happened, the audience lost their mind.

Like, I have never seen it before.

It was so good.

And also, the scene was so snappy.

I was like, Something bad, amazing twist and it was so quick it was just so worth it

so the interesting thing that i going back to the first finale event

looking back so what we experienced at the finale finale huge theater just to watch it at the first season there were carnival events and things to do and like you could go around there were like 18 different vendors all like oh i'm selling noodles i am right they had a bunch of

but the room to actually watch the last three episodes i'm gonna say 20 seats.

And that just goes to show that it was during season one, they were still trying to be like, do people even like this?

We got to convince them on the world and sell them with an experience.

And for the finale of season two, they're like, the experience is the show.

We're not doing any of that.

Like, yeah, they had a few things we could play some Riot games.

But really, it was, you're here to watch this thing rather than we're going to try and sell it.

And it's just the trajectory of that is fascinating to me.

I mean, like, now they know.

So here's the thing.

Like, if you go back to like, you you know, them eventually maybe trying something like the MMO, they now know the powerhouse that their shows are.

Like, people have high expectations, which means it is definitely going to make sense for them to make a show about something that's going to lead into the MMO.

Because if you do it in this sequence, it's like a guaranteed success.

So, like, I think they are well aware of their power right now.

Yep.

I mean, again,

if they can

keep,

I don't want to say like, keep it in the consciousness of the public, but something along those lines where they have to keep creating content and on the track towards an MMO,

which no matter what, sounds like it's a long way off because there's no visuals on anything.

But,

you know, it's one of those things where they got to keep people interested.

Although.

Thinking, I see in chat, I saw Blizzard and I was like, well, although Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne, I think that's what they were, I don't remember which expansion it was, those came out a while before the MMO came out.

And then in order to get to the events of the MMO

that took place at the end of Warcraft 3, it took another two, three years of

years gap between everything.

Yeah.

So like, but like, but like, here's, here's the thing.

It's right now, is Blizzard actually working on anything big?

Like, do we know?

Like, is it?

They're working on something new.

We don't know what it is.

Because there was a survival game next to the

survival game, whatever.

And then, like, they were like, ah, we're not working on that anymore.

So, like, now I have no idea.

Yeah, I don't know.

They're going to have to do

something really enticing, I think, because I don't know many people who are still all in on Blizzard as

well.

I mean,

everyone who was a Blizzard fan transitioned to being a Riot fan.

Like, so many people did that.

And now here we are with not everyone liking League, I guess.

Yeah, I mean, that's because

there was a weird transition from game with 14 buttons to press to game with four buttons to press that grabbed everyone's attention.

And it just, you know, faster and simpler does it for them.

And WoW just has some downtime.

Like, people don't like.

waiting for expansions or waiting for a patch update, like a DLC thing that's going to give you the next part of the story or the next thing to grind.

It's just a

it's MMO RPGs are just an older version of video games now, if that makes any sense.

It's like, you know, it's like the 2004 MMO thing people loved, but it's not necessarily people love now.

And so, yeah, MMOs just have an older audience in general, or MMORPGs, just have an older audience in general, and the younger audience skews more to the gacha versions.

That is true.

Oh, like, I've seen so many people label like Genshin an MMO.

And I was like, nah, you don't know.

You don't know, okay, what true MMOs are like.

Also, if you don't like an MMO, or like if you don't like the theme of an MMO, what's really awful is that you're just stuck with that version of the MMO for like the next two years until like the next expansion comes out or something like that.

Yes.

Yeah.

Every Final Fantasy XIV fan feels the exact same way.

They're just stuck.

They're like, all right, I didn't like this expansion.

In two years, I guess we get another shot at it.

Right.

It's like, okay.

Yeah, I know with like Marvel Arrivals coming out, it's, of course,

inspired a lot of comparison to Overwatch.

Yep, yep.

And

one of the big things that people are pointing out constantly is like, well, fortunately, we're going to get characters way more consistently than we got them for Overwatch, right?

That one is a double-edged sword, dude.

Yes.

It's going to be fun for now, but like, if you keep this up, you're going to be in the League of Legends situation.

Yes.

I don't know if feel there.

Yes.

I was literally talking with my husband about this because I was like, I don't, I don't think that they can promise the upkeep of like a character every like one or two months or whatever they're planning on doing.

Right.

You could say,

well, they have the benefit that people are invested in these characters.

So that will inspire people to want to come and play if they haven't played yet, if they're favorite Marvel characters in the game, right?

But at the same time, how long do you plan on putting out a character per month?

Or again, whatever the timetable is.

And this actually brought up a really hilarious issue because it literally happened like a week ago when the new season in league launched.

Right screwed up the numbers and they

accidentally nerfed like the blue essence, you know, which is like the base basic currency that you get for buying champions and stuff like that.

They accidentally nerfed it by like half.

And like, I'm pretty sure it wasn't intentional.

Like people, people, of course, are like, they they just want to make people pay for the champions and you know no that one was obviously a mistake and that brought up the conversation of why are champions just not free in league like why is there this old system of just like you still have to buy them and that is because and we do have proofs for this statistically when someone gets into league and they just see the 170 70 champions they are way more likely to quit the game immediately because they are overwhelmed.

And like Riot knows this.

Like riot knows like

we and they they told us like we cannot unlock all champions for all players because they will just leave because they are getting overwhelmed it's the same thing like getting into an mmo that's just open and there is something everywhere and you just don't know where to go so you just leave so like now they are stuck here and yeah that's where we are i want to play devil's advocate here though

because with league i very much understand if you jump into something new and you see stuff you're overwhelmed but marvel as a concept

most people playing Marvel rivals are jumping in with some understanding of at least

most of the Marvel characters.

Like, you already know who Magneto is, if you've existed in the nerd space.

So you get conceptually who these people are.

So you conceptually know what they're going to do in the game.

And so you're not immediately overwhelmed.

You'll be like, oh, I can't believe that they have both Squirrel Girl and Colossus.

Like, I don't know who Squirrel Girl is, but I know who Colossus is, and I kind of get.

So, you're cutting it down.

And then, going back to the number of characters and pumping out characters, I wonder what the give and take in the background is when it comes to crafting skins.

Because a lot of people, when it comes to Overwatch, for example, people are just like, they're pumping out skins and half the skins are garbage skins.

And I just, and what, and so is the flip side, if we pump out characters instead of a bunch of skins all the time, really,

yeah, sure, we might be overwhelming people with characters, but we don't have to produce 800 crappy skins just to have content out there.

Sure.

And so, I don't know.

That's also something that League is dealing with, where you have so many champions that on average, I think a single champion is waiting like 200 days for a new skin, which is ridiculous.

But then again, you know, you have so many champions, like, what are you supposed to do, right?

And that was a second point, and I forgot it.

Damn it.

I guess like from from my perspective again as like a new player right i have a very small roster of characters that i can play in league and at first i was like oh well but you can buy characters with the currency that you gain just by playing the game great

the issue is sometimes it takes a really long time to have enough currency to buy a character so you're not like I think the argument could be made of sure still start people off with a small roster but maybe even just at first like every time they level as a player, they get to choose a new character to add, right?

Like something like that.

It doesn't need to be a paid system.

I mean, because I don't know what the new player missions are.

I know that there is something in place where they are like level up and you are like, pick a champion or something like that.

And that is up for like, I think the first...

It happened at the very beginning.

But it doesn't happen.

Yeah, maybe it was like the first 10 and then it stops.

And yeah, people are arguing like, okay, sure,

if you don't want to keep up with the system, just give us like tokens.

Like

every level, you get a, or like every fifth level or something like that, you just get a token from like champions and you just pick one.

Because, oh, here's the other thing.

The problem that League had when like they tried just like, hey, see what happens when you have all of those champions.

There is nothing that would like show you which champions are difficult to play and easy to play.

So apparently, statistically,

people were likely to pick a a difficult champion and they just quit, which is why at the beginning, when they give you some of the free champions, they are specifically easy to play champions, just so you know, kind of get the hang of that.

So they would have to come up with a system where as you level up, maybe you get a token for a free champion, but it's from a pool of like easier to play champions, and then it gradually goes up.

That would make sense.

But yeah.

So also another thing is, the reason why League is getting, I think they are on three champions per year right now, is because they know no one actually cares about new champions in that game anymore like every niche has been explored if you like a champion you're just not gonna swap any anymore for for a new one so like they covered everything with 170 champions like that that's ridiculous so they know that when a new champion comes out It's not really adding anything because you need to get people excited for the new champion so much, they start maining it, which means they also want to buy a skin for that.

Like, that's how you would profit off of that.

Because, like, because League has been out for so long, unless you are a new player, you already have all the champions.

So when a new one comes out, you just instantly buy it for free.

So they don't profit off of releasing new champions.

They would only profit off of skins.

But those skins would only be profitable if you convert those players into liking the new champion more than what they already have.

So new champions are just a problem for them.

And they are like, we just have to keep releasing them because that's what League has been doing for years.

But yeah.

Interesting.

Yeah, that's a weird problem to have.

Have they ever gotten rid of a champion?

Or have they kept every champion?

Oh, no, no, no, no.

Oh, they jokingly, there was one time, it was like year, like 2018, something like that, was years ago.

There was a lore event where Gangplank died.

And they were like, jokingly, like, hey, Gangplank died.

We're removing him from the game.

And so he was unplayable for a week as a joke.

People were really mad and the internet was on fire because people wanted to bring Gangplank back.

I see.

So they tried.

It was not a great idea.

It didn't did not go well.

Nope, nope, nope.

Man.

I guess that's

that is something that's nice about, again, going back to Marvel Rivals, something that I think that they've done well, at least as an offering of information, is that every character has a difficulty, like a star-level difficulty.

That really, at the end of the day, more than anything, means like, how many things does this character have to juggle?

How much do you have to be thinking about?

Can you just head empty shoot people, or do you have to, like, keep track of stuff, you know?

Wasn't Venom actually initially marked as like a really hard thing, and then, like, all you did was just run around, like, literally.

I don't know, was he?

Yeah, I think at the beginning, he was like four stars or something like that.

And then, like, on launch, like, when they got out of beta, they were like, nope, just one star immediately.

Like, no one cares.

The hardest thing about Venom is not swinging into a wall and then being like

automatic off of that.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Yeah, I don't know.

I don't know what they're, what they're going to do to prevent having

a lot of people.

In that space, no, they kind of.

So what they are trying to do is because like, again, they know that new players are trying to get into league.

So they already announced, like, besides Summer's Rift and like the base game modes, every

at every patch, there will always be a new wacky game mode up because Marvel Rivals does the same thing, right?

right but i don't know if it's always up because leak is like we will always have a wiki game mode up at the same time in marvel rivals i remember during christmas you had the little sharky boys everywhere just spinning splatoon jeff

yeah splatoon basically so rad is trying to do that with league where now they are like all right We will always have something so that people don't have to be focusing on someone else read because everyone hates that.

So they are trying.

But yeah, this is absolutely just something that they are trying for the the first time, just like trying to cater more towards the casual audience rather than ranked and like all of that.

Uh, so this is literally a turning point for league, and I'm just curious to see what's gonna happen.

Hey, but hey, you know, my audience has always been casuals, so uh, if anyone is interested in Lorhagen,

come hang out in my channel.

It's fascinating to me that you feel like

the people that wind up watching your content are casual Riot fans and not like the more hardcore Riot fans.

I mean, mean, do you have like hardcore league fans in your channel?

I don't know.

I have no idea.

I want to believe that.

What we have in our channel, what we have watching this show, are people who I think if you asked them if they were hardcore would say yes, but are very much not.

I mean, you have like,

I'm really, guys, I'm good at fiddlesticks.

Come on, Trendor had a viral video in League.

I remember that when he had the story of the two wards.

Okay.

If anyone remembers, oh my god, that's been a while ago.

So, you know,

he was in the viral space of League creators.

I remember that, okay.

Grendor's pretty viral.

That's, I've always said that about him.

That's how I would describe Crendor.

Viral.

Yeah.

It's very silly.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Jesse's gotten into making lore videos.

Did he tell you?

Oh, no, hold on, hold on, hold on, no, no, no, I don't want to spoil this.

All right, yeah, go on.

No, no, no, that's not, that's not even what I want to bring up.

No, no, no, no.

So there was a time where League's lore was just frozen.

They were like, all right, we're juggling too many things.

We just can't handle it.

This was after they released a lore event that was just bad because like they just couldn't make all the teams collab properly on one thing.

So like there was a time where League's lore was like, no, we're just freezing everything for like a year.

And for that year, I was just sitting here like, uh-huh, so you're gonna do that, huh?

So for that one year, what I did is that I was discovering lore of different things.

And like, some videos were a hit, some were a total miss.

For example, people really liked when I dove into Warhammer lore for no reason.

Like, all right, sure.

I also, I did, I, that's when I did the gacha story arc, uh, which is like, you know, Genshin's lore and stuff like that.

People like that.

Uh, I wanted to do cyberpunk lore.

Hmm.

And I messaged Jesse years ago when I was like, hey, I'm gonna be making like a lore video on cyberpunk.

I have like all the books behind me, stuff like that.

I was planning to go really deep into the original books that the entire game is based on.

And I was like, you know, hey, I know Jesse would be cool if he like made a cameo playing the pantless guy in the video, right?

Just like playing his own character, just for a quick joke.

I messaged Jesse.

He never replied.

Oh, my God.

Yeah.

That sounds like me.

That was our first introduction, by the way.

You telling me, hey, I messaged you and you never replied.

And I was like.

yep yep yep hey that happens like

no people message me and i never reply to you

see it's kind of funny like

among content creators it's just a thing that happens and like no one's mad about it it's like you know you reply you message someone they never reply you're like yeah i get it i would probably do the same thing i yeah i never take it to heart if i don't get a response i'm like i get it i didn't even i've been in no response guy seeing the message.

It was like a message.

I was like, I don't,

I don't know.

I don't know.

I don't know what you're talking about.

And it was such a wholesome message.

Like, I was like, hey, you know, I'm a fan.

Like, hey, like, years ago, there was a Pentakill concert that Drive did.

And you know what I wore?

You know what I wore to that Pentakill concert?

Frankenstein Joe shirt.

Okay.

That's what I had.

And I showed it in the screenshot.

Yeah, I showed it in the screenshot.

No reply.

Yeah,

nothing.

Yep.

Oh, no.

You must have got lost in translation.

Yeah, that was the guy that I was looking up to.

All right.

No, there's your first mistake.

Never meet your heroes.

Yeah.

So,

yes.

No, I will simply say that,

yeah, boy, do I love lore.

And if I was going to do a new show where I wanted to learn about things, And one of those episodes happened to be about Arcane and its connection to League in the future of what that means, it certainly would be an episode featuring that great that is in the works right now if it if that was happening

i could probably point to that to people who know a lot yeah yeah yeah if it was happening that would be a thing that is happening yeah i know i know people i know people yeah sure yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

so yeah that definitely had no bearing on this episode of geek getters at all This is exciting.

I totally wasn't like, hey, you have a podcast.

Can I just hop on that?

It'll be fun.

I was like, yeah, you can.

That's it.

Really?

At the end of the day, it's like, can I be on your podcast?

Yes.

That's roughly the vibe.

I mean, hold on.

All the, if you go back to the TGS podcasts,

they're all archives, right?

They're still up.

I love that you call it the TGS podcast.

And I'm not sure what to do with it.

That's what it was for.

I don't know.

I know co-optional, the stuff that's on TV's channel is still there.

Because when it was

gone.

Oh, is it?

Damn it, because there was one.

Okay, do you guys remember?

There was one episode where you had a little picture of the three of you, black and white, and you just had people coloring it.

Remember that?

What?

Why?

It was YouTube and TV, just like it was like a picture.

And you were like, hey, you just said it to fans and were like, hey, just color this, you know, with like however you want, just like paint something over that.

And like, you know, we're going to show like, you know, all of them during the podcast.

And there's going to be like a giveaway connected to that.

I don't know if that's still archived, but if anyone finds that episode of that podcast, my name is actually there on one of the things colored.

I was one of the people who sent it to you.

I do not remember this at all.

It's totally fine.

If I probably go on my old computer, I might find it somewhere, but this is like year 28.

No, it's like 2016, something like that.

Can I tell you, I must stress this to everyone watching or listening at home.

If you've wondered to yourself, how do I,

as a fan,

get on Geekenders and hang out with Jesse and Dodger?

I've been watching them for years and just be, all you have to do, guys, is become an incredibly successful lore

content creator in the League of Legends space.

And then you're right here.

Oh, you know why?

No, this all makes sense because like you came from the WoW space originally.

I mean, I watched Noble 87,

who was discovering.

He was discovering WoW lore.

and i was like you know what no one's doing this for league i'm just gonna do that and that's literally what i did

so like it's very smart

yep yeah yeah i mean that is why like i knew i was gonna make youtube videos from like age 14 ish 13 14.

i was like hey i just want to be a youtuber again i was watching tv and i was like you know he's making a living making videos i was like that's crazy i want to do that so i started making videos i just love how she's confused i think so lost all sound which is really funny to me.

And I want to be like, hey, Dukes,

what's going on?

But then I also realized her headphones are like

$25 headphones, and I can't figure

this out.

You have $25 headphones.

I've had these for like five years.

They work.

It's the same.

Like, I should, I don't want to show you my keyboard.

It's the nastiest thing you've seen.

I've had it for like eight years.

These headphones were given to me by a fan in 20, oh, god, 13 and I've still had them they're incredible

These headphones are so old

We should tap to our headphones to not confuse her at all.

You're right

the

You're right.

I'm over here

She can't hear us and I'm on top of the headphone and she's probably like oh my god What are those now she's missing now she's missing the fun

yeah you're right I really shouldn't have tapped the headphone.

You're absolutely right.

Oh, shit.

That's funny.

Yep.

It's really cool.

What the heck?

Anyway, sorry.

The funniest part about that chair is

it looks like a chair from 1997.

It is

at just.

I love, I love Daja's room.

I love the vibe.

I love there's no heat in that room.

So she has to wear a coat.

Oh, that's on you.

That makes sense.

That makes sense.

Yeah.

No, I mean,

I live in a house that was built in the 40s.

So, yeah, I get it.

Yeah, I live in an apartment that was built a few years ago.

So I don't have that.

It is 40 degrees here in LA, and I'm shivering every night.

And I understand four degrees to the rest of the world.

It's like,

put on your shorts.

Let's go crazy.

Yeah, but in LA, I'm just like, why is it so cold?

Last night, I don't know if people are aware of this.

You probably can see the bags under my eyes.

Guys, I could not sleep last night.

It was so cold.

I was like shivering.

So I woke up and was like, man, I got to be up early.

I have to do the podcast in the morning.

So maybe daddy could use a little edible help, if you know what I'm saying.

No, no, no.

Yeah, like this is what surprised me.

Like, you do this podcast at like 8 a.m.

Is this like how you normally do this?

Every Friday, 8 a.m.

Like, but like, when I was in LA, the thing that surprised me is like, like, no one did anything before 10 a.m.

Yeah, no, you're right.

Open at 11.

And I'm like,

what?

Like, here in EU, like, everything opens at like six.

Six,

there's people waiting in lines.

I, in LA, I'm like, okay, I woke up.

It's time to get a breakfast.

Like, anything.

I just, I just walk anywhere.

The streets are empty.

There's no one outside.

Well, admittedly, how many times are you in LA where you're not in downtown LA?

Oh, no, I was around Santa Monica before.

Twice.

All right.

I mean, it's been Santa Monica's a little bit like later in the day.

Oh, yeah, that's very

vibe.

If you're in Santa Monica or Venice, people are just like, hey, man, coming to work whenever, which is crazy.

But yeah, so.

Yeah, I didn't do for someone in chat saying, did you, no, I didn't do Final Fantasy last night

because my computer while I was streaming.

go watch the VOD.

I'll talk about the game I played in a little bit.

But like straight up, my computer died.

I have no idea what's going on.

I was calling my old editor like, I don't know what's happening.

This computer is broken.

But

anyway, I was trying to wake up early today, but I could not sleep.

I was freezing cold.

I was like, do I turn the heat on in my apartment?

Which is probably a smart thing to do.

But instead, I took an edible and was like, I'm just going to knock out and I'm going to have fun.

Here's the problem.

I forgot the pathway from a little bit high to falling asleep does not go direct.

So anyway,

I, Jesse Cox, adult,

could not get to, I couldn't get to sleep.

And I took some edible goodness and thought it would knock me out.

However, it did not.

And instead, I hyper-fixated for two hours on people.

This is, again,

I don't know what I was thinking.

I don't know where I was.

I don't know what was going through my head, except I had a smile and I was watching random, like, I'm going to say 50 plus people reacting to Chapel Road on Saturday Night Live, Pete Pody Club, for two hours.

Okay, so you weren't live, right?

No, I was laying in my bed.

Okay, so, okay, so I got

because I thought you said, like, you know, I was playing Final Fantasy and like something went bad, and I was like, did he take edibles on the bottom?

No, no, no, no, no.

Is that not the only thing?

My computer broke, and I just thought it was a good idea.

That's a different thing.

Okay, yeah, and that's where I was.

And I was like, oh, well, I should definitely sleep.

And I just didn't.

And so I'm a mess today.

And I'm glad the two of you are talking a lot about leak.

So I can sit back and be like, yes.

I'm such a nerd.

I'm such a nerd that my ring is actually, you can see.

There's no way you'll be able to see that.

Maybe.

Well, no, there's no auto rings.

Whatever.

Stone.

It is like stone texture.

Just imagine, imagine what I'm saying, right?

Stone texture with a black diamond.

Because if you go to Rise's Cinematic, you know, Horizon Cinematic, his lore is all about just like collecting the world runes around the world, which is like, you know, just him essentially getting these precious rocks.

And the one that appeared in the cinematic was black.

So, hey, my ring is technically based on a lore event or like a lore scene.

from League.

That's cool.

You have a, not to be a creep, you have, on Twitter, right, you have a picture of your ring.

Oh, yeah, right, You're right.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

It's on the right.

If anyone would like to see it,

not to be a creep.

Not to be a creep.

I did stalk your Twitter, and I know.

I just went to your Twitter and

how is Clark doing?

It's joking, sorry.

She's about to be seven.

And what about Sam?

Sam's good.

I wish I knew more real names of your family.

You know the two that are the most applicable here.

Yeah, we have a dog now.

Sam's taking the dog for a walk currently.

My kid can like read and write and do math and stuff now.

So it's weird.

Oh my god, my son is like at the age, he's four.

So he's like at the time where like you can play video games.

It's difficult.

So like playing Mario is like

every jump is like a

challenge, right?

Yeah.

He really wants to play Astrobot a lot.

And I'm like,

so like, anytime there is an enemy that can hurt him, he just gives me the controller.

And I'm like, okay, I'll beat it.

And then anytime there's like little rabbits that just like poke you and do nothing, he's like, yeah, I'm going to beat them.

And yeah, that's how we're beating Astrobot.

When my kid was five, she really wanted to play Breath of the Wild because she liked the idea of like running around in the grass and like, you know, just having a nice chill time.

But obviously, things attack you occasionally.

And yeah, it was the same sort of thing where the second she was near an enemy, she would chuck the controller at me like, Mommy!

And I was still telling him, like, nah, it's like, if you die, who cares?

You're just gonna like spawn back here, like, nothing, nothing is bad.

Like, it takes so much encouragement, and then he finally tries it, and he wins, and like, his look is just priceless.

Yeah, I'm uh, I do another podcast that's all about anime, and I was watching a show, and my kid came up and just started reading the subtitles.

And it had not occurred to me until then, like, can you read that fast?

Are you able to read fast enough to watch a show with subtitles?

That's crazy.

See, like, my kids, so what the

so now it's a podcast about kids.

Uh, sure.

I learned that, like, watching kids watching TV, it's only fine as long as like you just give them something good to watch.

My son really liked to watch, like, for it's for kids, but it's like educational about space.

So he can tell you what's a like a neutron star right now

at the year of four.

He can tell you what's awesome.

And it's like, and it's like, it's like my favorite party trick.

Like, we are at like a celebration somewhere with him, and I'm like, hey, you know, you know what he knows?

And it's just like, you know, but anyways, he just starts like talking about like what Einstein like wrote in his book.

It's amazing.

That's awesome.

I love when kids have like a really like

like strong focus on something and they're like, I love dinosaurs.

I love space, you know?

Yeah, it's great.

My kid has a deep affection for bugs.

She doesn't know a lot about bugs, but she likes them.

So anytime there's a bug in our house, regardless of how terrifying it is, she

wants to help it in some way.

Oh, yeah.

Like, oh, there's a spider in our room.

Oh, my God, there's a spider in our room.

And, you know, my son, he loves that.

I like that this turned into a real story no yeah yeah yeah like so let's continue very real one there was a spider in our room my kid he loves animals and he was like yeah we're just gonna throw him out so i was like you know reaching reaching for the spider uh and he was like oh you can't do that it's gonna hurt him like just keep him in the house so we kept the spider in the house for four years uh it grew a lot uh it was like it was like

like giant spider uh and it only like the moment we noticed tiny eggs on it we were like you know what no like this one all done yep when he's in at the kindergarten that spider is gone so that's what happened we had a a pretty long period of time where my kid did not want to take baths which was fine she could take showers it's whatever but like she really did not want to take baths because every time she took a bath we have like a really bad ladybird season here a ladybug season where there are just like hundreds and hundreds of ladybugs that basically hibernate in houses.

The first year we were here, we tried to get them all out.

Now we're like, oh,

I guess the ladybirds are hibernating.

We just leave them in the corners and it's whatever.

But occasionally they fall off the wall.

And so

my kid would take baths and ladybugs would fall into the bath and drown.

Right.

Yeah.

And so she was like, I don't want to take baths anymore because the bugs die.

I love when that kind of connection happens because like one time, one time my son was just like playing upside down, like, you know, just hanging off on something and i was like hey don't do that you're gonna vomit i just like made it up i was like hey if you if you're too long upside down you're gonna vomit and so like every time we play around and i just like turn him upside down he's like oh no i don't want to vomit and i'm like well oh no i'm like okay he's he will have to learn one day

yeah kids are kids are fun oh there's it's such a sponge like anything you do to just absorb it all and just give it back to you at the moment you will not expect it yes 100

Yeah.

Every age, it's like, oh, that thing that was really frustrating is done now.

But now we have a, now we have a new thing.

We have a new hurdle, you know?

And I don't know.

I think that it's really fun.

Like, you are constantly on your toes for sure.

So, what, Jesse?

Nothing.

Nothing.

Your stories of endearing moments with your children.

All I hear is, so we just let bugs hang out in our home.

So I'm immediately like grossed out because you know how I live.

I'm psychotic when it comes to clean stuff.

And then all I hear,

all I hear when people talk to children, I'm like, they're here to replace me and ruin things that I love.

Children, what's the deal?

Why are we even having them?

Society.

What's the deal with children?

What's the deal with children?

Yeah, I'm like, mm-mm.

Those kids are here to ruin everything I enjoy.

They're going to

be doing things.

I'm like, I don't understand what they're doing.

Why are they like that?

I was once like that.

okay?

Like, we've all been there.

And then my wife was like, hey, maybe we should have kids.

I was like, eh, okay.

That's it.

Yeah, I mean,

what?

Maybe I'll get maybe I'll get there.

Or maybe I

maybe I see through the matrix code.

And I know

you don't have to.

I know that the children are our replacements.

You're here to take our spots.

Yes.

That's literally exactly what they are.

Yes.

No.

60% of all people just don't want to have kids.

Maybe that's why.

Okay.

But I don't even want to have pet kids.

I'm like, nope, those pet kids, they'll eat me when I'm dead.

I don't want to be a bad person.

What's the difference between pet kids and normal kids?

Oh, nothing as far as I'm concerned.

Okay.

Got it.

Nothing.

Nothing.

I like that you're so concerned about what's going to happen.

Plants steal my breath.

Nothing wrong.

Do you know that?

Plants steal your breath.

Not wrong.

If you have too many plants at your house when you fall asleep, you will actually breathe worse.

That's actually a fact.

I'm just saying, I've seen through the code.

No one's replacing me.

I'm going to either go out on top, irreplaceable, or I go out so low that no one wants to, but it's only one of the two, and everyone's going to remember which one when I'm gone.

So

look, I'm a

loud and proud advocate for people not having kids.

I think you should be like, yeah, I want kids.

You know, if you're like, oh, I've never really wanted a kid, but I guess it would make my partner happy or whatever.

No,

don't do it.

Oh, no, no.

The only way I'd have a kid is for Mori reasons.

You know, like if I'm trying to trap someone in a relationship, I got to get them pregnant.

Mori the show.

Right.

Mori the show.

Right, right.

I thought you meant like momentum.

Like if I date like a really beautiful person, got to get her pregnant so she can't leave me.

Like Maury reasons.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Good reasons to have kids.

That was a wild thing to say on a podcast.

It's here forever.

I'm glad it's archived.

And me too.

Yep.

This might as well be Maury.

Go on.

Keep talking.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

And if it's Jerry reasons, we're cousins.

Oh, of course.

Yeah.

Sure.

Yeah.

Oh, my God.

Never meet your heroes.

We've come full circle.

I love that for us.

Oh, my goodness.

I'm so excited for it.

The YouTube clips that's made of that, that is taken completely out of context.

Frankly, I'm here for it.

That's called traction.

We're going to get a whole new audience.

I'm excited for the email that your mom's going to send you.

Oh, it won't be an email.

It'll be a phone call.

And she'll be like, What's the matter with you?

What happened to you?

It's all just jokes to just make jokes trying to get rat of the people.

Is that your thing?

And I'll have to be like, Mom, I was just playing around.

She'll be like,

Playing around?

It's what basketball people do.

You

sit and talk.

And I'll be like, okay.

All right.

Those are wise words, okay, to be fair.

Are you a basketball person?

No.

Jesse.

Oh, sorry.

Okay.

Okay, Jesse.

Can you imagine?

That would be an interesting way for me to launch a new talk.

So, guys, basketball?

How do we feel?

Yep.

When we started.

I have issues.

I have issues with modern basketball.

Modern basketball.

What's old basketball?

Well, I think it's

a little too...

Like, this is such a stupid conversation.

It's a little too commercially.

Like, there's a reason I think the NBA is

failing.

They're making money, but, you know, failing to capture people's attention because

the regular season's really boring.

And it doesn't really matter till the playoffs.

And there's like, I don't know.

I'm just like, I'm not a big basketball person I love

baseball person this is such a US thing because in the EU we just watch like football soccer that's it's like you know everyone since it's like the one sport everyone's watching it also hockey yeah I I uh there's a reason why I think hockey and football continue to have

you know like a little

their seasons are just shorter the number of games are fewer and it seems to matter more rather than baseball and the NBA.

Like a lot of seasons are like, yeah, we're doing 83 games.

That could be because it's more like the US system where they want to more like

market it and like more, you know, maybe like turn it into a higher profit or something like that.

But the issue is people don't watch it.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

You're right.

So,

you know,

they need here's my pitch, okay?

When

hockey has 82 games

when Kuroko Nobasuke came out, okay,

acclaimed anime, Kuroko Nobasuke, my friends and I got so into Kuroko that we started watching basketball.

And my friend bought a basketball for no reason other than she just really loved Kuroko Nobasuke, okay?

So they need...

a show that really pumps up the juice on basketball and gets people really into basketball but it has to link directly they need to arcane basketball

It has to link directly to the NBA.

Again, it's all

relative,

right?

Because people are still watching basketball,

but there's an enthusiasm gap in what's going on when it comes to that sport.

I don't even know how we got here.

I'm not a sports guy whatsoever.

Literally, I'm like, yeah, hockey.

My knowledge of hockey is every once in a while I'll tune into a penguins game.

That's it.

Like, that's, it's not I'm watching every season.

So when I'm called out on being not the smartest when it comes to sports, you're correct.

I'm making general assumptions, and I'm clearly wrong.

So I'm going to go back to

talking about Dynasty Warriors forever.

Can we all just agree that's what I should do?

Great, done.

Never played it, unfortunately.

I think I got the free, like for free.

I bought something and then in a bundle, there was like the Zelda version of that game and I played like 30 minutes.

I was like, yeah, I don't know.

Just press a button.

There's like a million units that fly into the air.

Yeah, that's the shit.

That is great.

Yeah, the new one is Dinosaurs Origins.

I believe it's out today.

And it's a game where you play as one character where you get a bunch of different weapons and you can gear out your character in different ways.

And it is

everything I wanted.

It's just everything I wanted in a video game.

The voice acting is as silly as it always was, where it's like, hello, brother.

It's awesome to meet you.

I can't believe we're going to go fight Soul Soul together.

It's a lot of fun to murder, but watch out for Huang Gai.

He's coming to get you at the Battle of Hulao Gate.

Like, it's just.

Is that something they embraced?

Is it planned?

Oh, I love it.

Yeah, yeah.

Because originally, in the old days, like Dinosaurs 2 and 3 and so on, they didn't,

I think, ever look up how to actually pronounce the names.

So the voice actor, like all the different voice actors, would just say what they thought it was pronounced, I guess.

Right.

Makes sense.

And it gave us such great names.

So this guy, Cao Cao, became Cao Cow, and his son, Cao Pi, became Cow P.

And this guy, John Wayne, or John Wayne.

Amazing.

But he was John Wayne.

They just kept calling him John.

He was like, I'm John Wayne.

And you're like, damn, hell yeah.

There was one guy called Huang Gai.

And it was just like, I'm Hung Gai.

Was that what they would call it?

And it's like, yes, he is Hung Gai.

Let's go.

All of them are great.

It was so much fun.

They just kept like saying it terribly.

And then slowly over time, someone came in and was like, that's actually not how you pronounce any of their names, guys.

So it's still the same voice acting, which is like,

in the year 183 AD,

at the battle.

Like, it's just real, real blade straight, but like ridiculous the entire time.

Love it.

Love it.

And then the gameplay is literally, there's a thousand guys between here and the enemy.

Murder them.

I'm like, yes, I will.

It's great.

It is.

It's definitely a power fantasy game.

Yeah.

Absolutely.

Are you kidding me?

And then this one, they have like a new story where because you play an original character and you're kind of going through the events of the game, which is based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

It's, you know, an old school Chinese book that like, it's a...

Like a little epic saga, and there are all these different characters.

So you meet them and you kind of cross through their lives and the story of the,

you know, the romance of the three kingdoms.

And

they also added now that you're like the wanderer, and there's apparently a group that's trying to right the wrongs of the realm.

And a little weird white-haired kid who may be a ghost who shows up and is like, do you remember your past?

And you're like, I don't know, dude.

I'm just here to kill.

So it's great.

I'm loving it.

I'm having a good old time.

It sounds like that's an easy lore video for you to make.

Honestly, the lore is a like, I'd be like,

go read the book or play all the time.

You can't do it.

You can't do it.

You have to explain it like a real lore master.

I don't even know how I, I mean, like, aside from the main people,

dude, there's so many things in that that are hilarious to me.

Like, one guy

gets an arrow in his eye, and because he's such a badass, pulls his own eye out, eats his eye, and is like, you can't hurt me.

I'm a badass, bro.

And you're like, sounds like a scene from Dark Souls or like Elden Regina.

He's badass.

Like, there's stories that are cool where it's like one guy saves, like, goes behind enemy lines to save the baby of his lord, and they have like a cool standoff at a bridge whole thing.

It's like, you know, cool shit.

But also, there's one guy, he gets a boil and it pops and he bleeds to death.

Great.

Sure.

Sometimes it truly is that simple.

Yeah.

Maybe like

that's a whole ass thing.

But

I love Dinosaurs.

It's one of my favorite, favorite things in the world uh because here's the here's the truth those games don't the plot

that don't change every dinosaurs game says the exact same story because it's you can't change the story so it's the exact same story except they're just like we're gonna make this battle a little different or tell it a different way so for example in the past the yellow turban rebellion is always the very first level and it's one level and it's like These guys are trying to overthrow the kingdom.

We gotta stop them.

In this one, so far I've done four battles.

They've all been yellow turban stuff.

So they're like really telling a story this time.

Even though, again, it's like,

ah, I see you're here to join my brother and I.

Good.

We formed a brotherhood,

not of blood, but of goals at the peach trees on my farm.

And now you shall come and join us as well.

And I'm like, yeah, brother, all right.

Like

you're saying this to someone who is experienced in leagues lore which is insanely complex to be fair like those storylines are wild so you know what just hearing a story where there's like a kingdom that just wants to murder another one very refreshing oh there's there's actually three kingdoms and they all want to murder each other even better yeah yeah yeah yeah and the best part is really at the end of the day All the kingdoms have something for everyone.

So it really comes down to like, are you team red, team green, or team purple?

That's it.

Because the best part about Roman.

That's human history,

Yeah, like the best part about it is

lore-wise, and the way the games usually end is like none of those three win.

It's a fourth group that wins in the end.

So, like, no matter which side you pick, you're losing.

You're just losing in a different way, which is very, very fun.

Love that stuff.

It's uh, it's great because all the characters are like

every one of them has its own really cool thing, and eventually there's a

very

like

go find the movie Red Cliffs.

So it's like the perfect example of one battle from that time period where two of the teams had to gang up on one of the other teams and they had like an epic fight on a river and they were like, let's go.

Awesome.

Big fan.

Yeah, Redcliffe is they probably stole it from Star Wars.

Yeah, probably from Lava scene.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Yeah, yeah.

Anakin and Obi-Wan, yeah, yeah.

Lava Riveru.

I can't see that name without thinking it's Kao Cow now.

So I'm saying.

And for a while, I was like, oh, yeah, I love Kao Cow.

I'm still stuck at Cowby.

His son's name is Kaupi.

That was really good.

Yeah.

And so, big, I love all of those.

There's so many good names.

And yeah, for a while, they were being butchered hilariously.

And now they're pronounced correctly-ish.

But

yeah, it's good stuff.

Plus, they added.

In this one, there's an overworld map where you can run around on as a very giant version of yourself as you trample over the peasants but you run around on this overworld map like a final fantasy game from the 90s and uh there's little coins to find and items to get so you can craft things there's little missions that will pop up and be like if you do this for me i'll give you extra points to level your character it's pretty cool so that's a cool way to do an interactive man

big fan of that

Speaking of,

man, Dodger, I found a game last night, even though I was sponsored to play it, I found a game that

I can't wait to see you play, and I know you're going to play it, which is ridiculous.

It's called Technobanter.

It comes out the end of both.

Yeah.

Google Dance.

Yeah, sounds great.

Sounds great.

You're in Germany, Eastern Bloc.

And I think you're in Germany.

You're supposed to be.

It's German devs, I believe.

So you're in this world of both people and animals.

And you play as a bear,

some type of animal.

Okay.

You are the bouncer of a club by i'm assuming a scottish frog a scottish frog lady she says laddie a bunch so i'm just making the assumption and

you have to let people into the club based on criteria that's like like first you do an ocular pat down of someone who comes up to the club and and you want one someone who wants to be there and have a good time someone who's going to spend a lot of money and someone who's going to like hype up the vibe of the club so that you can get more stars so more people come to the club so you can earn more points to buy things to improve the club right right

but at the same time

there's this weird element to it where like there's a duck who keeps talking to you and the duck's like

i know why you're here

tell me your name so and i'm like what

and then when you play the game there's this cult in the game so You're, you know, you're letting people in.

So you're like standing there.

This is only the first day.

So I'm not going to spoil anything crazy.

You're standing there.

So you used to be a bouncer for this club, and then you became the bodyguard of a really rich guy who then fires you.

That's the setup.

So, you're back at the club again.

And while you're standing there outside, people will come up, and like a big jack dude will walk up, and like one of his shirts says alpha, and so you do like an ocular pat down on him, and you're immediately like, Okay, he's really angry.

I don't want that dude in this club, like, and he's gonna fight me on it.

So, when he's like, You're not letting me in this club, he'll start yelling at you.

And the way techno-banter works is you need to,

he will say a bunch of things at you, and then you need to find the correct response to maximize the impact of your words.

So

one of the things, as an example, for the big jack guy, is he says that like he eats people like me for breakfast.

And

yeah, he's like, I'm going to eat you for breakfast and spit you out.

And then my response to him was, that would be the smartest thing that ever came out of your mouth.

so far.

And the guy was like, oh, what do you mean?

Like that kind of stuff.

So you can hit him with banter.

And so then you kick him out.

You're like, get out, come back another day.

But then also, because it's a club, every time a beautiful woman showed up, I'd be like, yeah, you can go in.

This looks like

this is a really cool tweet.

This is like papers, please.

Yeah.

So eventually, this woman comes up in glasses and she's like, I know who you are.

Do you know me?

And so instead of the banter of kicking her out, you have to have the banter of unlocking who she is.

And she's like, oh, yeah.

And then she comes back in a little bit.

And you're like, interesting.

But then this one guy showed up and he looked like a banana man.

And he's like, there's a girl in your club.

She belongs to us.

We need her.

She's part of us.

And you're like, what?

So eventually at the end of the night, when you go through all the people and you let people in or don't, you can go in the club and you can talk to the various NPC characters.

And there's mini quests to do.

And so there's like the former bouncer who's jealous that you're back.

There's the girl at the coat stand who is in a cult, maybe.

There's the woman who is the bartender and she wants to make a song where she

has the melody and rhythm, but she doesn't have the lyrics and she wants you to help her because you're like a really good wordsmith.

There's your boss who's trying to get you to, you know, get very important people to show up.

There's the janitor who has a really great idea for like a really crappy product and he wants you to help him pitch it.

You know, there's all these mini like mini quests going on.

But at the same time, there's just

this like strange story that I don't know where we're going with it.

But hilariously, my favorite part is if you go to the closet in your home, you could eventually, I assume, change clothes and like get better looking clothes.

But when you

the devs just included a tab that says naked.

And so you can just hit that tab and you are a naked again bear.

And there's this full-on junk hanging out.

And it's hilarious.

I was like, unnecessary,

I love that this is here.

This is so silly.

No, it's no, like, it's the details that count in these games for sure.

This looks really fun.

I've wish listed it.

Thank you for telling me.

It was a treat.

It definitely has like a weird, there's like a weird thing happening in this game, and I don't know what it is.

I don't know where it's going.

I love,

I love when games do that.

There's like

something, something iffy like eventually comes up.

Like, it's like even games like Undertale and Deltarune, those did that.

There was always something eerie.

And if you make the bad choices, you're going to find out.

I love one games this year.

Yeah.

I mean, there's clearly an option where you can just let anyone into the club.

Like a great example is I was on my let all women into the club and then only let dudes who bring women.

I was like, I know how bouncer rules work.

If you bring in ladies, you're in the club.

Like that kind of stuff.

Except one woman showed up and she was like

very buxom.

And she walks in.

I'm like, oh no, you're getting in.

But her attitude was very entitled.

And I was like, I don't care.

You can go in.

Obviously, not the right choice.

When I went to the club later, she's in the corner crying.

And I was like, what's going on?

She's like, I told the DJ to play this song and he wouldn't play it.

And it ruined my night.

And I'm going to sue the club.

And I was like, no, I'm still all right with letting you in.

I was like,

I told her maybe she should go somewhere else for the night.

She's like, I will.

And tomorrow morning, I'm suing the club.

And I was like,

amazing.

I love these like choice, permanent choices that actually affect the story.

Yeah,

it's cool.

Love that stuff.

And I figured that's a pure Dodger game.

Yeah.

I can super, super quickly say,

I finished Sorry, we're closed.

That game was fantastic.

I want to play it again.

Very like

queer Resident Evil sort of vibes.

It was delightfully bizarre, really nice art, and it's pretty short.

So

there's obviously lots of choices that you can make in the game.

And it wasn't clear to me like how those choices resolve themselves until I had already finished the game once.

So now I feel like going back and playing it again, I'll be able to make like more direct choices in it.

The other game, which this was sponsored for me, is A Loft.

A Loft is like a cozy survival game that is all based around flight.

So you're in a world with like lots of floating islands and you need to develop your own technology enough that you're able to fly from island to island and eventually you're able to turn small islands into ships and like fly them to islands.

It's co-op.

I played it by myself, which I thought was still very fun, but it's the intention is that you like run the ship with other people.

It's so fun.

Three hours like flew by like crazy.

I will say the concept looks really good.

The name might have been a mistake because when I Google a loft, I just find hotels around the world.

Yeah.

Welcome to Gaming Problems.

Yeah, we, for the game we're developing, everyone really liked the name of the game that we had come up with.

And I had to be like, guys, that's the name of a gym.

And if you type that in, that's literally the first thing that's going to show up.

And I love you, and I love the property, but we have to either change something or be like, and the dot dot dot to because like otherwise we're gonna get it's like I love the game control.

I dare anyone to try and find anything about control without typing in control game.

And if you do, if you were to go to say Amazon and type in control game, you get game controllers.

Yeah,

you can't you you have to do the search without game though.

That's the key.

If you do game now, it's cheating.

You have to like meet just the word.

It's like it's like freaking undertale, right?

Like, there's no way you're gonna find anything else that's even close.

Yeah, also, for my game,

I use a simple thing.

Whenever I'm naming something, I just use the words that my kids come up with.

Cute.

Just random, just random things.

Like angels.

We call them angels.

So, you know what?

That's the character I named.

Yeah.

Perfect.

Jessup, do we have news that we have?

Oh, I have so much news, and I'll keep it quick for you, dudes.

Okay.

Do you like Until Dawn?

Do you like

the idea of a movie about Until Dawn?

Do you like the idea of a movie about Until Dawn that has nothing to do with the game Until Dawn?

Because that's what you're getting.

That's right.

Until Dawn is coming in cinema form, except the plot is

the it's

live till dawn and if you don't you die and then come back to life and it resets over and over and over again like edge of tomorrow but a horror movie that's what we're getting so cool are they marketing it as the until dawn movie it's called until dawn yeah this happened so many times in the past like it's like the prince of persia movie or like the assassin's creed movie you'll probably you know that too why yep it's groundhog horror style yeah and they have to survive to the thing is is there's something i guess like there is a wendigo in it but like it's probably just one round of surviving and who knows who knows i mean, concept-wise, it could be like Edge of Tomorrow amazing.

I love that movie.

It's very, very good.

But it also could be another crappy video game movie.

So, yeah, unfortunate.

Speaking of cool, Daredevil, we got a trailer.

It looks awesome.

I hope Disney doesn't screw it up.

I can't wait.

I want all the things.

I want all the things to happen in that, so I'm excited.

Also, we got an anime,

you know, like an animated Witcher trailer for the new show featuring our boy Doug Cockle, who's coming back as uh, Geralt

to just

murder, I assume, mermaids.

So, I'm here for that.

Love that idea.

The real big news, though, I think, is we finally got some information on Switch 2.

We see what it looks like now.

We don't have really real information, we just have Switch 2.

Yeah, same as the first Switch, and no one even cares.

The best thing is, like, not even that it's finally out, no like no one cares it's like yeah okay sure another switch there it is and that's because we don't have i think they need to do like their nintendo switch video thing but didn't they say it's coming up in like april which is like yeah it's got is it there's like april 2nd i think is the date where they're like hey we're gonna show you something

that's in a while like the bed hype is gone i'm telling you immediately i was like yeah all right cool i'm not too like i'd have to see what games come out with it because you know like i'm not just going to buy a console for a console.

And I was like, does anyone else feel this way?

Nah, dude.

Every single person, I was like, does anyone else feel kind of like bored with the idea?

Everyone's like, no, bro, I'm getting this day one.

So let me just say for the record, as a person who

has a Switch dude.

Yeah.

As I was like, eh, who's going to get the Switch?

I fully expect this thing to be huge.

Iron Max.

I really liked it.

The original Switch when it came out, really loved it.

But that's because I loved Breath of the Wild when it came out on Switch.

Like, that was just perfect launch there.

So, like, like, that's like immediately that's where my time went.

Now that they're Switch 2, they showed like Mario Kuard, which I'm like, eh, yeah, that's fine.

Besides that,

the game they launch with this has to be massive.

Otherwise,

huge.

I agree.

It's not different enough.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

It'll be interesting to see what happens.

But that's the big thing is Switch 2 this week.

Also, just a shout out to all the game devs and uh like producer heads and all those people who make really weird games on the internet.

Because as I'm sure all of you know, David Lynch passed away yesterday, and everyone that I like love who's in that weird gaming space was like, dude, this guy inspired me.

So, I just want to say, if you want to know where all that came from, it was that crazy ass man who just was like creativity, man.

Let's get real weird with it.

So, I'm thankful that people will carry on that tradition because

I loves my weird games.

I likes to get rid of that.

Absolutely.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And that's the news.

That's the news.

Thank you all so much for being on the podcast, listening to the podcast.

Necrit, do you want to tell everybody what you're going to be up to?

How people can find you, etc.

Hey, you can find me just Decorate, probably on YouTube and Twitter.

I hate it place, but hey,

it is what it is.

And then on

Twitch, it's just TechRid 94 because I come from the old people who put their year into their name.

That's the classic MMO thing, especially.

Okay.

And yeah,

look, I just cover League's lore, and that's pretty much it.

I don't really have any way to cover anything else without losing 90% of my audience.

So, hey, I'm stuck.

I'm stuck on this ship.

And I need to survive until the MMO comes out because when that happens, I think I can guarantee to go viral.

Okay.

I just need to survive.

Fantastic.

Jessup.

Yo.

What's your life looking like?

Yo.

Hey, if more Scary Game Squad stuff's coming, I got a whole new series in the works that one of our guests, Wink, Wink, Wink, might be a part of.

What?

Yeah, I know.

Crazy.

And yeah, I'm trying to think of what else.

You know, I'm just

apparently

really enjoying watching random old people react to Chapel Road, I guess, is my thing now, which is, who knew?

I discovered that last night, and so here we are.

Look at us.

New king every day.

Yep.

And for me,

I don't know.

I guess I'm going to play techno banter in 13-ish days.

But yeah, just trying to get back into indie stuff because

I spent like two weeks going really hard on PvP competitive games, which is not my normal bag.

But it was a delight.

And I'm still playing all of them.

So what are you going to do?

Yeah.

That's it for us, I think.

Necrid, thank you so much.

You were a fantastic guest.

Again, you know, this has been, this has been a journey to get here for me.

Again, like you, you have no idea, but when I was 12, I was watching you and I was like, one day, I'm going to be like them.

And I'm not over-exaggerating.

Like, this is literally, this is literally, I have a note somewhere, like a physical note that I like, like, when I was like 13, I was like, I literally wrote down, I'm gonna be a YouTuber.

I still have that.

That's so sweet.

It's because of you.

Hold on, hold on, Dodger.

Hold on.

Not sweet.

Yet, how old are you now, Necrid?

I am 30.

I'm not, you know.

I know.

I know, dude.

Why did you ask that, Jesse?

Just on the show.

The moment I turned 30, I heck immediately hurt.

Like, I know.

Come on,

just wrap it up.
