So look, here's the deal.

With Attorney General Paxton now throwing his hat in the ring for the United States Senate, it's giving Texans a once-in-a-decade opportunity to put a, what President Trump called me, a true MAGA attorney and a warrior for the Constitution to succeed Paxton and keep his foot on the gas, to press in hard on all of the things that Texans really care about, whether it's border security, election integrity,

the attempts to trans our kids, the wokeification of our schools,

environmental overreach, all of these issues I've spent the past several years litigating, investigating, defending, and appealing, working hard on.

And my body is covered in scars from the kinds of lawfare that I've been engaged in.

And I think that

Texas voters want to see their next Attorney General continue on the aggressive, battle-tested path that we've enjoyed over the past several years.

I think I bring that to the table.

I think Texans want an AG who's built in that mold.

We are getting all kinds of pressures.

The Soros people are just dumping money into Texas and trying to make sure that Ken Paxton does not win, you know, the Corrin

race.

And then you, I'm sure you're going to be a target of it as well.

What are the things that we must must preserve and must fight for in Texas to remain Texas?

Because I think we're getting a little soft in some places.

Yeah, you're exactly right.

Look, I understand with very clear eyes that we as a country and as a state are in the midst of really a civilizational battle for the soul and the heart of what it means to be an American and what it means to be a Texan.

And there are forces out there who are extraordinarily well-funded, who see Texas.

They see Texas as representing the best values and virtues of our country and our rich traditions, and they want to destroy it.

And they've got unlimited money to move into our school districts, to our urban centers,

to our HR departments in Texas-based companies.

And they want to turn Texas into something that it's not, that it never was, and it never ought to be.

And so what you need in the Texas Attorney General's office is a real MAGA warrior who's going to partner with the President,

work with him, the administration, the Justice Department, and all of our allies within the state to really hold the line.

The Texas Attorney General has vast investigative and litigating powers to hold these Soros-funded DAs and mayors and other blue state agitators and all of the nonprofits that are funding these riots that are happening, not just in LA, but in Austin, the state capital.

You have to have an AG

who is going to understand the nature of the threat and has the experience to be able to go into the arsenal of legal weapons that he'll have at his disposal and fight against the enemies of our country and the heart of what it means to be Texas.

And that includes issues ranging from election integrity, border security, backing our cops,

ensuring that our kids are not being indoctrinated with woke nonsense, that we're not harboring illegal aliens and ensuring that when Texans go to the ballot box, that they can trust that their vote is being counted and that aliens and other box stuffers are not being counted either.

And if we don't have an AG that can hold that line, if you don't have an AG who has experience in that kind of legal warfare, I think

it's going to make Texas slip into the hands of the left before we know it.

What would you be doing if you were the Attorney General in California?

And you didn't have Governor Newsome on top of you, but what would you be doing if what was happening in California and

you were the AG and it was happening here in Texas?

What would you be investigating, doing?

What would happen?

Yeah, it's funny you frame it like that, Glenn, because

I announced my resignation last night from the Justice Department.

And a lot of my friends who kind of knew what was going on, I was texting with many of them and I said, guys, I'm resigning from the Justice Department so I can go get activated by the Marine Corps and go hold the line against these insurrectionists.

So that, you know, don't tempt me, Glenn, with a good time to suppress

the insurrection that's happening in California.

This kind of thing, by the way, Glenn, is happening in Texas at a different scale.

If you were to look at images, I would just encourage you and your viewers to Google images of Austin protests, Austin riots.

Right now, in Texas, these sorts of things are happening.

So, what I would want to do as Texas Attorney General is reassure our local sheriff's departments and our police officers that we've got their back.

What you're seeing in Texas, and this is actually happening, where you have Soros-funded DAs in all the major counties in Texas that are litigating against our police officers who put their lives, safety, and health, and welfare on the line

to keep our communities safe.

And so I want

cops to know that I've got their back.

I want our families to know that I'm there to help keep the community safe.

And I'm here to back the blue, enforce law and order, and ensure that Texas and our cities and

our communities are places where you can live peaceably,

invest prosperously, not have to worry about your stores getting looted

by the rioters.

And I think people, when they look into my background,

they'll realize that I'm the guy that's fit for the job.

So tell me about your, tell me about your challenger, because this guy is a huge GOP donor, been involved with the GOP forever,

wealthy, wealthy, wealthy oil and gas guy.

He says he's going to spend at least $10 million on his election kickoff.

You're against massive

money and an insider with the GOP.

Yeah, look, I think that that's right.

But one of the things I've learned as I talk with major sort of Texas Republican primary grassroots leaders and influential figures in the state and folks who are looking to back a candidate who has a proven MAGA track record, someone who the President called a true MAGA attorney, someone who the President called

a warrior for the Constitution, someone who has experience fighting alongside President Trump at the Justice Department, someone who has experience and a proven track record fighting along Senator Cruz,

someone who has a proven track record fighting alongside Attorney General Ken Paxson as his deputy, and who has a long record of, like I said before, litigating, defending, suing, investigating, appealing on all of the major issues that Texans care about.

I think that folks will look at my and any other challenger, whether it's the one you're referring to or, frankly, any other entrance into the race.

There is not a candidate available right now at this time in history and in Texas's

election election season, that is going to be able to prove that my body is covered in the scars of this war that we've been in.

And so, what I want folks to look at is not whether a candidate has played GOP politics as usual, not whether he has bankrolled

organizations and other candidates to secure endorsements, not whether there's

a flashy money play,

but look at the records.

Look at the experience.

Look at the scars.

Look at the energy.

Look at the fights.

Look at the blood that has been shed.

Look at the threats that have been made.

Ask yourself

whose state bar license has been investigated.

Ask yourself who has been doxxed.

Ask yourself which, like Dick Durbin, the senior Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, called, quote, a danger to democracy, or Corey Booker, who during my hearing for the Justice Department said that I sent a chill down his his spine.

Ask yourself which other candidate is as feared by the left and has the scars to show that he's ready to show up on day one and be a MAGA warrior for Texas to partner with this administration, uphold law and order, enforce the rule of law.

And other people, I understand,

they may try to outrage me,

but I don't think that that's what Texans want.

I think they want a MAGA warrior for the Constitution who's going to continue pressing in on Ken Paxon's fights, continue that legacy, work with this administration, and has the record to back it up.

And for people, if they want to know more about what that record is and the issues, I don't just have a policy page.

How are you?

I'm doing great.

It's good to be with you, as always.

So how's that whole big, beautiful bill thing coming?

Well, it's definitely big.

We're working on making it more beautiful and trying to get it into a position where it does the job.

But we've done our part.

Yesterday, as the chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, we released our title, which is going to help restore American energy dominance and reduce the deficit and

unlock some of our federal land that's been neglected for affordable housing, streamline domestic production of energy, and repeal the wasteful Green New Deal spending.

All this is going to help us deliver lower energy costs and more housing, greater prosperity for American families.

So it's a good point.

Okay.

So

this is something that you're adding, you want to add into the bill, or did you add it in?

Yeah, we added it into the bill yesterday.

Okay.

To address it, you know, we've got a nationwide shortage of housing, a shortage estimated by some to be over 7 million affordable homes.

Nearly one out of every three acres in America, meanwhile, is owned by the U.S.

government.

In states like Utah, it's even more extreme.

Almost 70% of our land is controlled by people in Washington, D.C.

Effectively, none of this land can be used for housing.

Now, in the West, where federal land is so prevalent, that means the federal government is depriving our communities and our families of needed land for housing, and that's inhibiting growth.

So President Trump has recognized that connection between federal land ownership and the housing crisis, which is why he pledged to, in his words, open up portions of federal land for large-scale housing construction.

And

this is a good question.

So

what happens with the land?

Does the government give it back to the states?

Does the government sell the land and keep the profits?

What happens there?

Yeah, the government sells the land.

This proposal was estimated to generate about $10 billion

over the next 10 years.

It would sell the land, and it's not all of it.

In fact, it's a tiny, tiny fraction, just

a fraction of 1% of federal land, and it can't be in a national recreation area, national park, wildlife area, monument, anything like that.

It's just garden variety land that's in

or immediately outside municipal boundaries, a place where people already live, a place where it's accessible to utility connections and things like that, where people could build houses.

It'd make a big difference.

Yeah.

Let's go to the Green New Deal handouts.

This is something that is, you're repealing all of those handouts in this part of the Big Beautiful bill now?

Yeah, so there are parts of these that come through my committee's jurisdiction, and we're getting rid of those.

Much bigger portion of those come through the Senate Finance Committee's jurisdiction.

And one way or another, Glenn, we are going to get rid of those.

Some of them will be phased out over the next three and a half years.

Others will start to go away much faster.

The bottom line is when these House and Senate Democrats pass the green new scam legislation from what they

to which they assigned the Orwellian name of the Inflation Reduction Act, which is really quite the opposite of that.

They did that without a single Republican vote.

And they did that in order to incorporate sort of their climate change religion into our national ethos.

So they did that without a single Republican vote.

We should not have a single Republican voting to extend those, and that's why we're getting rid of them.

Those things create market distortions.

They change the incentives in a way that makes us more vulnerable with our energy grid.

That things that result in irrational, inefficient decisions, we're getting rid of all of it.

So, Mike,

I was glad to see in this portion of the bill that you guys have worked on and are putting in now or put into the big, beautiful bill,

the refilling of the strategic oil reserve.

We are last night, and I know you're aware of this, you have to be, last night we made moves that usually only happen right before war.

We brought all of the families home from all of the bases in Middle East.

We told all of the, I think we closed or just at least reduced the staff of many of the

embassies around in the Middle East.

There's talk that

Israel is going to strike Iran.

If that happens, I mean, we could go into war.

We could have $200 $200 a barrel oil if this thing went poorly, and we have almost no strategic oil reserve.

It's yet another reason for us to refill the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

It's also another reason, Glenn, why we've got to open up our own energy capacity in the United States, including our own oil and gas production.

We've got a lot of oil.

We've got a lot of gas.

We've got a lot of other great natural resources that we use for energy, for manufacturing and all sorts of things.

All this stuff has been stymied by a federal permitting process that has gotten out of control, and we're doing everything we can to streamline that process.

So that, too, can become part of our strategic petroleum reserve, you might say, not just the official SPR, but also

the risk of

the fact that yes, yes, exactly.

We open up and war, we open up other federal lands that have a lot of oil and gas, we'll be in much better shape.

You know,

it's so curious to me that all of the people who have been strongest in pushing this

global warming agenda are now totally silent when

the AI needs so much energy and they're like, we have to have coal plants, we have to have nuclear power plants, and all of a sudden those things are okay again with so many.

But

please address this with the audience, how essential it is that we do not play the same games.

We are running out of time to be able to produce massive amounts of energy that we're going to need within the next three years.

Yeah, exactly.

As my friend Alex Epstein points out in books that he's written, including

one called Fossil Future.

He points out that we need energy.

And if you're worried about climates changing, and climates do change, the best thing we can do to address

weather-related crises and things like that is to continue to utilize clean, abundant, affordable sources of energy.

That's how human beings survive.

That's how human beings will continue to thrive and prosper in the future.

And so we shouldn't go off on any more of these larks, any more of these, you know, it's essentially a secular religion to those who have been pushing climate alarmism.

And we've got to reject that and stop forcing people into this.

Look, if somebody wants to try to avoid using any source of power that doesn't come from a unicorn, a windmill, or a solar panel, fine.

But don't force the rest of us to accept your false religion.

Let me go to NPR and PBS.

I have heard that we are likely to defund them, and it's got to happen because these are entities that are federally funded.

I've been saying for a long time, government-funded propaganda is wrong.

There's all kinds of propaganda out there.

It's a natural outgrowth of the First Amendment, but government-funded propaganda

is a particular type of evil that we should avoid.

And

I understand people have most Americans have decades' worth of exposure to PBS and NTR, and most people, regardless of their political background, can point out good things that PBS and NTR have produced over the years.

Increasingly, what we've seen is that those entities are becoming less and less inclined to provide a fair, objective set of messages to the American people.

And increasingly, they are hell-bent on making sure that a far-left agenda is being

portrayed, communicated through these government-funded networks.

They have every right to say whatever they want,

to say whatever they want,

within the laws of what our broadcast regulations allow, of course.

But they do not have a right to do so with government funding.

It's bad enough.

The American people have to work months out of every year just to pay their federal taxes.

They shouldn't, on top of that, have to pay those federal taxes so that some of them can be used to distribute messages that they regard as wrong, as corrupting, as taking us down the wrong direction politically, which of course they do.

By the way, anybody who says they're killing Big Bird, Big Bird has

quite an operation behind him.

I've never seen anything more successful than Sesame Street in the

toy store.

They're fine.

They can make money on their own.

Last thing, Mike, did

the spat between Elon Musk and Donald Trump, did that help or hurt this bill?

You know, in the end, it's hard to say what impact it'll have on that,

in part because

the book isn't closed on this bill.

The bill is not even fully written yet, much less passed.

And so that's hard to say.

I will say this, just on a personal level,

it was saddening to me to see it.

There was an energy that came about through that romance.

I really liked the duo of Trump and Musk.

I thought it gave a lot of momentum to the cause of government reform.

And, you know, maybe this is just wishful thinking on my part, but I would love to see

those wounds healed, and I'd love to see that team get back together at some point.

Yeah, you know, it looks like the president, you know, President yesterday or the day before said some really nice things about Elon Musk and

Elon Musk came out and said it was inappropriate.

It was over the top of what I did.

And so maybe there's a chance.

But is this bill going to pass?

And if so, how long before we see a up or down vote?

Yeah, look, I suspect that some version of this bill is going to pass.

I will reiterate, as I've told you and others in the past, past, the bill as it was passed in the House will not pass.

That will not become law, in part because it just doesn't do enough.

When you're raising the debt ceiling as much as they're trying to raise it here, and when you're dealing with an almost $37 trillion debt and you've got an opportunity to pass something with Republican votes and only Republican votes, you can do better than that.

You have to do better than that because our debt is going to eat us alive unless we stop our debt from eating us.

So we're doing everything we can to

save additional money to bring down our

annual deficits substantially of this, because under the House-passed bill, it would more or less perpetuate $2 trillion annual deficits.

That's just not sustainable.

Our debt's growing faster than our economy, and that's a killer.

I want you to think back on what it felt like on September 12th.

You remember that?

We at one point did the 912 project because I wanted to remind people what it felt like when we all stood together.

It was the day after the bombings of the World Trade Center.

I can't believe I actually have to refresh people's memories, but there are so many people now in the audience that didn't live through it, didn't know.

But the World Trade Centers came down and we were shell-shocked.

And all of us knew we were going to war.

All of us knew this is a problem.

Never seen that before.

In the days when we never said, well, never seen that before.

We saw something we didn't expect.

And that first day we were freaking out.

The second day we came together and we were strong and we stood in our principles, but we realized this thing is so fragile.

It could come apart any moment.

If somebody really wanted to take us down, they could do it, especially if it was a coordinated effort.

Luckily, 9-11 wasn't necessarily a global coordinated effort.

I mean, I think there was more coordination than anybody wants to talk about, but

it still was not like it is now.

With everything that is going on in the world right now,

with everything that is coming, the L.A.

riots,

the no-kings,

which I hope are not riots, but just demonstrations on Saturday in Washington, D.C.

These protests and riots, well-funded, all-left, radical, revolutionary stuff happening in our streets.

Israel, we found out last night, is on the verge of striking Iran.

Can we play what the president said just yesterday about his negotiations with Iran?

Do you think you're going to be able to stop Iran from enriching its?

I don't know.

I did think so.

And

I'm getting more and more less confident about it.

They seem to be delaying, and I think that's a shame.

But

I'm less confident now than I would have been a couple of months ago.

Something happened to them,

but I am much less confident of a deal being made.

I would have said a deal would be made.

Something happened to them?

No, I don't know.

Maybe I'm wrong.

Maybe I really

have instincts about things.

You think China talked about it?

No, I don't think China has anything to do with it.

I just think

maybe they don't want to make a deal.

What can I say?

And maybe they do.

So there's nothing final.

What happens then?

Well, if they don't make a deal, they're not going to have a nuclear weapon.

If they do make a deal, they're not going to have a nuclear weapon too.

But they're not going to have a nuclear weapon, so it's not going to matter from that standpoint.

It would be nicer to do it without warfare, without people dying.

It's so much nicer to do it.

But I don't think I see the same level of enthusiasm for them to make a deal.

I think they would make a mistake, but we'll see.

I guess time will tell.

You have to remember that the president knows he is negotiating at all times.

You have to understand when he speaks, he's not speaking to the reporter.

And I've...

I've known enough presidents, spoken to enough presidents, and I know this one quite well.

And I was yelled at by George W.

Bush about this very thing.

The president can't say everything that is on his mind because the world is watching and there are analysts all over the world dissecting his every eye movement, let alone his words.

And I thought it was interesting to say, I don't know.

It seems like something happened to them.

But he followed it up with, and she talked over it, I just have a good instinct on that.

So what he's saying is, I don't have any intel, Iran, on this.

I just have a pretty good gut.

What is going on with you?

Because you've changed.

Then she said, is it Iran?

No, it's not.

It's not China.

It's not

involving China at all.

I just think

they're not interested.

So what has changed?

He was sending them a message.

He knows something

that they know now he knows.

I have no idea what it is.

But remember, it was just a few days ago he was telling Benjamin Etanyahu, do not strike them.

I want a deal.

Do not strike them.

And

I was cheering for that because I don't, I mean,

Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.

But at the same time, we do not, if there is any other way than Israel going in, we need to take that other way.

President Trump says something happened to them.

That to me says one of their allies may have stepped to the plate or they know something we don't know about us.

Now, Israel is on the verge of striking Iran.

That came out yesterday.

The U.S.

has just evacuated all non-essential embassy staff, pulled all military families out of the region.

That does not happen unless we are preparing for war.

That's the only time stuff like that happens.

On our own streets, New York, Los Angeles, radical Hamas riots, draped in socialist slogans, are growing.

They are not not spontaneous.

This week, two days ago, the leader of al-Qaeda, yeah, al-Qaeda, is calling on Muslims in America to kill Americans with no red line.

That's not a metaphor.

That is direct incitement.

That is al-Qaeda saying, Muslims in America, now, go, go, go.

The world has gotten dark quickly, or has it been quickly.

Some of us have been pointing this out for a very long time.

We just happen to be now in a position position where everybody is starting to position their forces.

And it is terrifying, but it all comes down to one thing.

We forgot.

We forgot that evil exists.

We forgot what evil looks like.

We forgot we have to name evil.

We forgot that peace is not the default setting of mankind.

It is the exception.

We forgot that empires don't fall from things that come from without.

They fall from within.

Our military is strong, but our will is fractured.

Our economy is still the largest, but it's built on debt and digital illusions.

Our spirit, our national soul, exhausted, divided,

distracted.

We don't even know who we are anymore.

So let me go back.

Can America remain standing?

And here's my answer: yes.

If we remember,

if we remember that evil does exist,

that there is no such thing as neutral when it comes to evil,

if we remember that this nation was not built on comfort, it was built on courage,

if we reject the lies that are dividing us by race and faith or class or even political opinion and remember that we are Americans, and what does that mean?

It means we hold certain truths to be self-evident.

Those things bind us together deeper than blood.

Liberty, responsibility, are God-given rights.

Will we survive?

Yes, but only if we prepare, not in fear, but in faith.

Not in panic, but in resolve.

Because what's coming?

Well, it's not chaos for the sake of chaos.

It is an entire realignment of the world.

And we have to decide right now, are we willing just to be swept away?

Or will we stand and stand firm and unshakable because we truly believe that there are certain truths that are

that are unchangeable, that no one can change them.

They were gifts to us from God, and those gifts come with responsibilities.

And if we remember those things and then say you know is that worth

fighting for is that worth living for is that worth struggling for

pray for peace but prepare for fire

and never ever forget the most important thing I can tell you today

Well, okay, so Jason, let's take me through this because yesterday,

the government did some things that they don't ever do.

At least I haven't seen them do, unless war is pretty imminent, right?

Can I start with maybe the possible upside, though?

Before we freak everybody out.

So the possible upside is, as we were watching all the developments yesterday, so was Iran.

So were their people, especially because negotiations between us and the Iranians is still going on.

In fact, I think they're supposed to meet Sunday because the original ultimatum that Trump gave Iran was,

I think it was 60 days.

It's supposed to run out, I believe, today.

So this is the negotiation of negotiations.

Like this Sunday's big.

Okay.

So this all might be

a kabuki theater to get them to the table.

You saw saw Trump.

I mean, even Trump's interview.

I mean, he is a master negotiator and strategist on these things.

So this could be, look, hey, this is what you're playing with.

You didn't give this to me last night.

I got to save some for, I mean, I mean, I was awake all night.

And you're like, oh, yeah, but it's probably negotiation.

He was like, Tanya,

get the food supply.

Let's go.

All right.

So it might be.

But

do we make these moves?

I mean, that is a master negotiator, but that's an expensive move and a big move to pull everybody out of the embassies and to pull all of the families out

from the military bases.

Yeah, so that is very big.

So in a single 24-hour period, we had the Pentagon authorizing the voluntary withdrawal of dependents and family members from some of these locations within the Middle East.

Almost immediately after that, another, I don't know if you call this a leak or release came out, that we were sending out emergency information to all of the diplomatic facilities embassies within striking range of Iran.

So you're talking about like Northeast Africa, all the Middle East, all those areas, saying put together a comprehensive emergency plan and then send a diplomatic cable back to us to let us know what that plan is.

Now, at this point, we were like, okay,

what exactly is going on?

Now, again, at the same time, we get Senator Cotton saying that Pete Hegseth confirmed to them inside Congress saying that, okay, now Iran is actively pursuing a nuclear weapon.

Actively pursuing a nuclear weapon.

And then Sky News right after that said, yes, for the first time, the UN is admitting to us that for the first time in over 20 years, Iran is just not,

they don't care about any of the, you know, the proliferation, anything.

They're just going all out.

Good.

This was all spewing out

immediately within 24 hours.

Still help me.

Help me, please.

Help me.

You've already run away to

outside of all civilization.

I don't know what more help you can get.

You have a shovel?

I can tunnel into the I can tunnel in.

Remember when the, what was it, the dwarves?

You know, they tunneled into that mountain in one of the, you know, the Lord of the Rings thing, and they were in that mountain with the dragon and stuff.

I think we could do that.

You just get some shovels.

So

I know you were up until the sun rose in Turan because you were monitoring it because you were waiting for the skies to light up.

I said this morning that I think if there's a strike, it'll happen after the stock market closes on Friday because this would cause massive disruption.

And let's just talk about first before we get into what...

The response would be and what we would have to do and what other countries would have to do.

When Israel goes over, they're saying they're going to bomb the the nuclear facilities, but we don't think they have enough to build a bomb yet, but

there's a chance.

And if they don't get all of it, it's real trouble.

Yeah, you best not miss.

There's multiple, multiple nuclear sites within Iran.

Just off the top of my head, I can think of six to nine, I believe, that they would have to at least have some kind of strike on.

Some of the facilities are so well entrenched because they've been planning this for a long time.

And to defend specifically against an attack like this, they're so dug under the ground and protected and hardened that you're probably talking about multiple strikes at a single target.

So this, we're talking about like a, it's not going to be like a single strike.

This is like, in a way, it's kind of like Top Gun 2.

Yeah.

Where they were going after and they had to, you know, they had to first.

land a bomb and then another one had to follow into that hole.

Yeah.

Right.

Because it was all buried so deeply.

Yeah.

I mean, it's, this is going to be precision stuff.

Precision stuff, top gun two, but probably spread out over a week of multiple dangerous runs like that.

Oh my gosh.

Oh my gosh.

You're looking at, yeah, it's more than just a single night operation.

It would go on for several days.

Oh my gosh.

Okay, so

now,

how does Iran respond?

That's the question.

Yeah.

Immediately counter-attack with a strike, like what we saw, what was that, a few months ago.

Something similar to that, just to start, and then the scary stuff happens.

all of the nuclear sites.

Iran retaliates, Missiles rain down on Tel Aviv.

The Revolutionary Guard unleashes proxies.

Hezbollah opens fire from Lebanon.

Houthis strike.

Red Sea shipping lanes.

Shia militias go after U.S.

bases in Iraq and Syria.

And then you have the Strait of Hormuz shutting down.

And then you also have all of the terrorists in Europe and here in America just starting to do their own thing.

It's a symmetric warfare.

Israel goes in.

They have to do it over several nights.

There's no way they can do it in one night or two nights.

I highly doubt it.

The world is going to go crazy on night two.

And unless technology on the Iranian side, I mean, the Israeli side is so overwhelming that I just don't, it's beyond my

bunker buster bomb capabilities and how effective they can be.

How would you know that?

That's the thing, right?

Like, you're not testing these on, you know, every day in a location like, let's say, the Natan's nuclear facility in Iran.

You're just not doing it.

So I just don't see how that would happen.

So I'm expecting multiple days of this going on.

And, Stu, in those multiple days, how many days go by before the UN and everybody else says

Israel has got to stop and they're setting our streets on fire?

Yeah.

Well, I mean, last time when, you know, thousands of Jews were murdered and raped in their country, it was like October 8th and they were partying at the UN, basically.

So I would say not long.

You know, 24 hours, maybe a couple hours.

Yeah.

Oh, 36 hours.

I was going to really, I was thinking they need to do it before dawn.

So that's really bad.

Then the Strait of Hormuz.

Explain how important the Strait of Hormuz is.

Oh,

that's got to be almost like 50% or something like that of oil runs through that.

It's something around there.

It's astronomical when you consider global prices and how it will change.

I actually had it wrong.

I thought it was 80%.

It's 20% that runs through the Straits of Hormuz.

But it is a very narrow passage.

And like, you know, those Iranian speed boats, like, you know, Haji and what was his friend, Bandit?

You know, is it Mike too old?

Does anybody remember, you know, Quest, Dr.

What was it?

Jimmy Quest, Johnny Quest, Johnny Quest.

But anyway,

you just take one of those speed boats, you can do some serious damage and shut that and choke that off.

Right.

And so that would be the asymmetric, non-conventional part of what this war will turn into.

So the conventional part will be Israel's strike on Iran.

Iran will probably immediately retaliate with another conventional type of attack.

But Iran has said they'll hold us responsible for this.

So what that means is, and this is why we are now evacuating diplomats from Iraq, is they will strike their closest targets that we have close to their border.

So Iraq, embassies, northern Iraq, or Beale, places like that would be prime targets.

And they'll use us asymmetrically, not only from like missiles, but their proxies.

We're also taking people out of UAE and other places that

we're supposedly friendly with.

I mean,

we are preparing in a way I haven't seen before.

And hopefully this is all negotiation, but

that is telling me that they know that asymmetrical warfare on terrorist attacks are just going to be happening everywhere in the Middle East.

And if they're happening in the Middle East, why would they not do it here in America?

Of course they would.

Of course they would.

The music needs to come back at this point.

There's another strait there, the Strait, Bob Mendeb straight on the other side.

This puts the in context specifically that straight named after that famous Yankee player.

So it shows you why Iran has been so concerned with Yemen.

So all of they've been preparing and planning for a retaliatory action like this for decades.

This is their ace up their sleeve.

This is why the rest of the world, including us, will have no choice but to intervene.

Because what Iran will do is they'll have their proxies like the Houthis in Yemen shut down the Bab el-Mendeb, and then the Iranian National Guard Republican Guard will shut down the Straits of Hermuz.

Then you halt oil traffic in the Middle East.

But you take a look at how Russia is even able to fight in Ukraine right now, primarily is from mortar shells coming from North Korea, but also drones coming from Iran.

We were planning a show actually to do this week before all the riot stuff happened just about how warfare is changing and it's being test-run

in Eastern Europe right now.

It is terrifying, but a lot of those drones are coming from Iran.

So you can see, I'm sure the Russians are playing their little

manipulations.

That's why I was surprised to hear that reporter asked Donald Trump a minute ago, you know, was it China?

No, it should have been Russia.

Yeah, I'm sure that Trump was saying, don't ask about Russia, don't ask about Russia.

And she didn't.

I am sitting in Washington, D.C., and I'm so blessed and honored to be serving as Ambassador and Chief of Protocol of the United States under the leadership of President Donald J.

So I can't believe what they're saying about Donald Trump, that everybody is saying that this is about his birthday.

What part of the 250th anniversary of America do people not get?

This is the 250th birthday on the day that happens to be his birthday, but it is also the birthday of the U.S.

Army.

What part of that don't they understand here?

Well, they don't want to see the truth.

Of course, they're going to take any cudgel, even if they have to make one up and hammer Donald Trump with it.

This happens to fall on the president's birthday, which is providential, and it also happens to fall on Flag Day.

And I just want to make a bigger point about all of this, Glenn, because you have been so extraordinary in talking about America's exceptional history for years and years and years.

And And I know you've got entire warehouses full of American historical pieces that are absolutely priceless and invaluable.

I do feel a little like Citizen Kane at times, but go ahead.

You're our Citizen Kane, Glenn Beck.

But

this is not about him.

And the bigger point about the fact that all of this, so the president has given me this big portfolio to be his representative to these big U.S.-hosted events over the next couple of years, including America 250, including the FIFA World Cup happening next year, including the 2028 Olympic Games happening in, we assume, Los Angeles.

And it's providential that all of this is happening while Donald Trump is president because the America first generation, the MAGA generation, Glenn, we are the natural heirs to the revolutionary generation.

And, you know, the other day I was in the Oval Office with the president and we were talking and he said, you know, Monica, in retrospect, 2020 had to happen this way.

And I said, yes, it did.

God knows what he's doing.

It had to happen this way because to have President Trump preside over the semi-quintennial, which is a big word to say America's 250th birthday, is just such a gift.

So let me ask you, we haven't done a military parade since I I think George H.W.

Bush did it with the end of the Gulf War.

We don't see them very often.

What are we expecting?

What is this going to be like?

So on Saturday, again, June 14th in Washington, D.C., the United States is going to commemorate 250 years of the U.S.

Army's history, strength, service, and sacrifice with this extraordinary landmark celebration in Washington.

And I can tell you, Glenn, I was born on an Army base.

My father was U.S.

Army.

I was born at Fort Wachuta, arizona so this is what means a lot to me personally and i know to so many others who are associated with and have served not just in the army but across our military branches of service we are going to put on a grand military parade that is going to bring to life 250 years of army history from the revolution to today's cutting-edge technology so i encourage everybody to come out and and see this parade watch on tv however you can can

observe this, because it is going to be just massive.

We are going to have historical reenactors.

We are going to have restored

military vehicles, precision flyovers, performances by elite U.S.

military bands.

We are going to honor those who have served past and present, including wounded warriors and Gold Star families.

And we are going to have, let me just tell you this, over 120 military vehicles and artillery pieces going back to the historic World War II era.

We're going to have Vietnam-era flyovers, and we're going to have very cool F-22 flyovers.

So, the people who are

on TV, but yeah, this is one thing that I wish I could be at.

I think this is going to be extraordinary.

I would imagine the coverage is going to be different on Fox than it would be on CNN,

but

we'll see.

The other thing I have to ask you, and I don't know if you can comment on this, but I'm very concerned about this no kings thing.

I mean, these are radicals again,

and they have been planning something all week and been planning it for quite some time.

And they decided to select Saturday in Washington to do these big protests.

What are you expecting?

And any comment on that, if you can?

Well, peaceful protests are protected under the Constitution, and Caroline Lovett made that very clear that peaceful protests the president has no issue with.

But if they veer into violence, they will be dealt with very harshly.

I can tell you, we're expecting countless people to descend on Washington, D.C.

for this parade this weekend.

And if you want tickets, they're still available.

So the America 250 Commission is working hand in glove with the Department of Homeland Security, with the U.S.

Secret Service, with the Park Police, with the Department of the Interior, as will happen for all of the events over the next year, to make sure that this is the safest, most secure

event that you can attend.

But we want to ensure that this is a showcase, Glenn, for American leadership, dynamism, military strength, as well as we're honoring those who have served, honoring the U.S.

Army, honoring the country.

But we do want to ensure that everybody will be safe and sound attending this parade.

I will tell you that the left tried to do this.

When I did that big event on the Lincoln Memorial, we had about three or four hundred thousand people show up.

And right before they made this big deal that

we had to up security because the Panthers were going to show up and Al Sharpton's group and all these lefties, the teachers' unions, they were all going to boycott and they were all going to be there.

And our crowd was totally cool.

In fact, the Black Panthers walked through our crowd trying to spark something and everybody's like, hey, join us.

Just sit down.

Come on.

Let's just watch, it's cool.

And they just gave up and walked away.

But I really think they did that to try to

suppress the numbers.

And

if you are anywhere near the Washington, D.C.

area, you will not see anything like this again.

I mean, and it's our 250th.

I have, you know, when it comes to protection of our people,

I tend to think that we might have that down under this president.

And President Trump will not tolerate violence of any kind.

While we are sitting here

and we are looking at the 250th anniversary coming this weekend,

there is a new story out about the Jefferson Memorial, where the National Park Service is nearing completion of a

renovation of the Jefferson Memorial that turns the site into a condemning portrayal of the president's legacy.

According to the City Journal, the project aims to completely renovate the basement exhibit level of the memorial to provide more perspectives as it shares Thomas Jefferson's multifaceted story.

The memorial's designers sought to convey in the mid-1900s version of our U.S.

Democracy.

Thomas Jefferson had become the face of that endeavor.

In crafting this image, they selected specific materials, details, and excerpts from his writings.

Studying these choices reveals their motives.

literist said, certainly, you need to take a look at the paradox of the author of the lines, all men are created equal, who owned more than 600 slaves in his life.

You know, Mike, how come he owned 600 slaves?

Why did he?

Why didn't he sell them?

Yeah, I'm waiting for an answer from anybody in the audience.

Anybody.

Why did he have 600 slaves?

Why didn't he sell them?

Why didn't he release them on his death?

That's kind of stuff I bet they're not going to have in the basement.

The renovation is funded in part by a $10 million grant from David Rubenstein.

The NPS press release said.

Rubenstein previously funded exhibits about about slavery at Montpellier, the home of James Madison, and Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson.

In 2019, Rubenstein said he donated the project so when people go, they can actually learn about Jefferson.

In a piece announcing his donations, Smithsonian magazine called Jefferson a man of huge contradictions.

No, not really.

The memorial renovation will focus on reinterpreting Jefferson, particularly in light of the allegations that Jefferson had four illegitimate children with Sally

Hemings, one of his slaves.

Now, the magazine and everybody else ignores in all of the major studies, none of them have come to that conclusion.

At the very worst, for Thomas Jefferson, they say we have examined the DNA and it is not possible.

Why isn't it possible?

Because all of the documents of Thomas Jefferson's time

show that it was his brother who was being scandalous with the slaves, not Thomas Jefferson.

So they don't know.

But that doesn't stop anybody from carving that into stone.

By the way, if you really want to understand Thomas Jefferson, how do you understand a man who owns slaves and then wrote, when in the course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with one another, to assume among the powers of the earth the separate and equal station for which the laws of nature and nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind require that they should declare those causes which impel them to separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with inherent and inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

And whenever that form of government becomes destructive of those ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it and to institute a new government, laying its foundations on such principles and organizing its powers in such a form as to them shall seem more likely to affect their safety and happiness.

This is from the first draft of the Declaration of Independence.

He goes on to say, the history of the present king of Great Britain has a history of unremitting injuries and usurpations, among which appear no solitary fact to contradict the uniform tenor of the rest, but all have in a direct object the establishment of absolute tyranny over these states.

And to prove this, let the facts be submitted to a candid world.

And so they listed all of their grievances.

And they were all one or two lines.

The king did this.

We tried to do this.

And he stopped us by doing this.

All one or two lines, except for the last usurpation.

In Thomas Jefferson's own handwriting,

he, the king, has waged cruel war against human nature itself, violating its most sacred rights of life and liberty in the persons of a distant people who never offended him, captivating and carrying them into slavery in another hemisphere, or to incur miserable death in their transportation thither.

This piratical warfare, the opprobrium of infidel powers, is the warfare of the Christian king of Great Britain, who is determined to keep an open market where men should be bought and sold.

He has prostituted his negative for suppressing every legislative attempt to prohibit or restrain this commerce.

And that this assemblage of horrors might want no fact of distinguished die, he is now exciting those very people, the slaves, to rise up in arms among us and to purchase that liberty of which he has deprived them of by murdering the people upon whom he has also obtruded them, thus paying off former crimes committed against the liberties of one people with crimes he urges them now to commit against the lives of another.

Thomas Jefferson was passionate,

passionate about this.

I'm going to leave it at that, and maybe

you can figure out why this didn't go into the

final draft.

Was it Thomas Jefferson's fault?

Because he wrote that while he was alone in a room himself.

Why would every other line be one or two?

But this one is a massive paragraph, half a page.

Why?

If he didn't care, if he was such a sphinx, if he's so complex that we just can't figure him out, you could figure them out.

All you need is the facts.

And they're all available.

They're all right there.

Now that you've tortured journalists and sent them to Google and ChatGPT to get the answer, can you reveal why Thomas Jefferson did not

release his slaves upon his death?

Because no matter how many times he tried in Virginia,

because he went to Virginia, his state capital, and he ran and became a state legislator of some sort.

I don't remember his exact title.

He tried to change the law over and over and over again, but he couldn't change it.

They wouldn't change it in Virginia, even though they voted for that part of the Declaration of Independence.

They wanted that in the Declaration of Independence.

There were only two states that said no to that,

and it needed to be a unanimous declaration.

And so it was Georgia and North Carolina that voted against that.

And

he went and he tried to do it over and over again in his own state, made some progress in some areas, not progress in others.

But he could not release them because one thing he couldn't get done is

slaves were viewed by the banks

as property.

And if you were in debt, you couldn't just give away your property.

That debt had to be paid to your debtors.

Just like now.

You go declare bankruptcy,

they got to take what you have and divvy it up.

And so you couldn't sell your your slaves.

You couldn't release your slaves because they had real value and your debtors were looking for their money.

And he was millions, at the time, millions of dollars in debt.

So he wasn't,

no matter what, he tried, he wasn't able to do it.

But he fought for that right for everybody in Virginia, not just him.

Brian Wilson died this week, and there's a lot of obituaries out about him.

I will tell you, I, you know, I grew up on the West Coast, and I was just,

I was too young really for the Beatles and for the Beach Boys.

But, you know, on the West Coast, the Beach Boys really were,

you know, kind of really said everything about California at the time.

And so I have a special love for them.

But,

you know, Brian Wilson is such a complex guy because he really kind of, he had real mental problems and a mental breakdown.

He was doing drugs, depression, anxiety.

He was just, I mean, he

had a really tough go of it.

And he was recording something called Smile back in 1966.

And

the band didn't like it.

You know, these were his brothers.

And I think Love was, I think it was a cousin.

And so they didn't like it.

And they were like, this is not going to be a commercial success.

And he was pushing things beyond what anybody had ever thought of before.

And nobody understood it.

This was the first concept album.

You know, it turned out to be Sgt Pepper's one album kind of about, you know, just tells a whole story.

But

this, Brian Wilson was the one who invented it, and he shelved it because of so many different pressures and reasons, but he couldn't get it done

because it is still groundbreaking.

And we never, it was never completed in its, you know, intended form the way he wanted it.

It has been reconstructed a bit, and even the reconstruction is amazing.

You know, one song because they released one song

and the

record company went crazy for it.

And it was called Good Vibrations, probably the biggest song that comes from that album.

And they were like, We, we, we, we, we want more like that.

And he's like, Well, it's on the album, and but it's a whole concept.

Uh, and they're like, No, no, just make another hit like that.

And so, they didn't release anything.

I, I think, after Good Vibrations, that was in 66.

Um,

uh, I think he released something in 2003, maybe, Smile.

Somebody had redone it.

I'm not sure how involved he was with that.

But he was doing something that he called modules.

Nobody had ever heard of modules before.

It was something he made up.

I'm going to record these modules, and then I'm going to drop them in over and over again on the song.

Today, modules are known as sampling.

He was that far ahead of everyone else.

Sampling didn't happen until what?

Rap?

And sampling is still used today.

And he had taken classical, jazz, rock, Americana, all of it, and just

fused it all together.

You know, you should listen to these sessions if you're a Beach Boys fan at all.

Listen to the sessions that were released,

the Brian Wilson sessions.

I think that was in maybe 2011, or just just look for Smile.

It's a very different album,

but way ahead of its time.
