Charlie Sheen is an icon of decadence.
I lit the fuse and my life turns into everything it wasn't supposed to be.
He's going the distance.
He was the highest paid TV star of all time.
When it started to change, it was quick.
He kept saying, No, no, no, I'm in the hospital now, but next week I'll be ready for the show.
Now, Charlie's sober.
He's gonna tell you the truth.
How do I present this with any class?
I think we're past that, Charlie.
We're past that, yeah.
Somebody call action.
Yeah, aka Charlie Sheen, only on Netflix, September 10th.
You know, we've gotten used to thinking of parasites as a third world problem.
I mean,
I don't know.
I mean, something that happens over there.
I mean, really, I mean, I don't want to think that there are things living inside of us, but there are.
It's actually more common than anybody realized, and they're often misdiagnosed or ignored.
And kind of gives me the heebie-jeebies.
I've been taking ivermectin now once a month.
See your doctor about that.
But Jace
has a parasite use case now, which is an emergency kit specifically designed to help you with fast
taking care of parasites.
Okay.
It contains ivermectin and other powerful medicines that I can't name because I'm not a doctor.
Oh my gosh, I am a doctor.
Why can't I say those names?
Anyway, go to jace.com, enter the promo code Beck, and check out for a discount on your order.
That's promo code Beck at jase.com.

All right.

This isn't a podcast.
This is a movement, and you're part of it, a big part of it.
So if you believe in what we're doing, you want more people to wake up, help us push this podcast to the top.

Together, we'll make a difference.
And thanks for standing with us.
Now let's get to work.
The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.
This is
the Glenn Beck program.
Hey everybody, we have the first American Pope.
Oh my gosh, I don't know if that's a good idea.
And it has nothing to do with Catholicism or this Pope in particular.
Do we really want an American Pope?
I don't know if that's a...
Can I just address that?
What does it mean having an American Pope?
We'll get into that here in 60 seconds.
First, let me tell you about Lear Capital.
I got to tell you, I got a whole bunch of copy points in front of me that I'm supposed to tell you about Lear Capital.
Let me just tell you this.
We have Russ Vogt on today because he's the guy who's managing the budget and everything everything else and kind of laying everything out for the big beautiful bill uh and i want to talk to him about what's what what what's happening because i am more and more convinced that uh
no way out
i mean i hate to be that guy well maybe not because i mean miracles can happen we have an american pope
uh but uh
It's we're in dangerous, dangerous territory.
Dangerous territory.
No country has ever turned around from this.
We have got to cut our spending dramatically.
Dramatically.
Please, your dollar is being devalued.
It is going down every single day.
Please call Lear Capital today at 800-957-GOL.
Get your free $4,200 gold report.
I know when I started talking about that 18 months ago, I was like, $4,200.
I mean,
that's crazy.
We're at what, $3,300 now?
You might want to call before that's just a history book.
800-957 gold.
Ask about getting $15,000 in free gold or silver with qualifying purchase called 800-957-GOLD, 800-957-GOL.
All right.
So what does it mean to have an American Pope?
Well, I hope that it doesn't mean that we now have papal wardrobe options.
I'm hoping the American Pope's not going to show up at the Vatican in Patagonia puffer vests sipping oat milk.
milk.
But maybe, maybe, what does it mean to have an American Pope?
Well, I hope it doesn't mean that the Vatican now has a lobbyist.
Confession will now require insurance pre-authorization.
You know, I hope it doesn't mean communion wafers replaced with gluten-free USDA-certified Eucharist thins that now come in spicy nacho and cool ranch.
I hope it doesn't mean that the Pope Mobile now has a Coexist bumper sticker and a don't tread on me license plate just to keep everyone guessing.
Oh, by the way, that bad boy, he's an American, bad boy, might be a Tesla, might be a Tesla.
It won't move because it'll be plugged into a solar charger in the middle of a thunderstorm.
But that's the American way of doing things now.
You know,
I would like
all of our
religious leaders to preach a little, not a lot, a little fire and brimstone, just a little bit,
a little less equity and composting in the sermons, a little more fire and brimstone, you know.
But if we have an American Pope, maybe there will be no hell, just a very underfunded public transit system.
And Judgment Day,
well, I mean, Judgment Day is going to be delayed a little bit until the Vatican completes its DEI training modules.
Oh, God.
I know I'm being cynical here, but I just, I mean, that's, I mean, that's who I am, you know.
And I really have great hope for this guy.
I don't know.
It'd be great, but he's from Chicago.
I mean,
he's from Chicago.
He's been writing, you know, op-eds against Donald Trump,
which is cool, I guess.
I mean, you know, he doesn't have to agree with me on politics, but I hope his politics are.
I mean, can we get a guy who's not political?
Can we please?
It's the Pope.
Can we please?
And somebody who believes in Christ.
A Catholic Pope that's Catholic.
Wouldn't that be refreshing?
Now, maybe this is the guy.
I don't know.
I know.
All I know, we're going to talk to an expert here in just a few minutes, and he's going to give us the lowdown on this guy.
But this is the guy who helped Francis pick the 80 new cardinals that voted for him yesterday.
So I don't know, but I pray he's different than the last one.
You know, I don't really want to live in a world where the Pope, the keeper of sacred tradition,
you know, might feel pressured to update the catechism like its terms and conditions.
Click here to accept the new morality.
Your sins may be monetized and shared with third parties.
It's not eternal truth.
It's truth 2.0, now with less judgment.
You know, everybody does have their own truth.
Really?
Really, do they?
I mean, try that at your next IRS IRS audit.
You know, sir, excuse me,
I'd like to remind you:
I identify as somebody who's already paid my taxes in full.
Let me know how that works out for you.
Okay?
See, this is the problem
that's happening in all of our faith, every single religious denomination.
It's the problem when you dress up relativism,
you know, in
in holy robes okay
if everyone's truth is true then nothing is true and if nothing is true then nothing means anything and if nothing means anything we're not modern we're lost
right now our kids are not they're not leaving the church because it's too strict
they're leaving because it's turned into a ted talk with candles.
That's why they're leaving.
We don't want the soft edges.
Our kids are craving sharp corners.
They want meaning.
They want, I don't know, somebody to go, that's good, that's evil.
They want somebody to just say, there is good and evil.
They want truth, but truth has to have a spine.
Because even our kids know that the world is a storm and you don't build a lighthouse out of interpretive dance and feelings.
That's why I think people are going back.
Catholics, kids are going back to the Latin Mass.
And I mean this sincerely.
Why?
Because it's old.
It lasted forever.
It doesn't pander.
You know, when the world feels absolutely insane, Maybe the only sane thing left is a 2,000-year-old chant in a language that nobody understands, delivered by a guy in robes who doesn't smile, doesn't riff, and believes in eternity.
You know,
that kind of mystery speaks louder than the progressive sermonette about meeting people where they are.
I got news for all of our churches.
If our churches just keep meeting people where they are, eventually our churches are going to find themselves in hell with a Spotify playlist and a rainbow causable.
It'll be, you know, it'll be beautiful.
What does it mean to have an American Pope?
Am I the only one that went, oh no.
Here's my message to the first American Pope.
Please, please, be American all you want, okay?
Fly coach, eat Chibolte.
Quote Jefferson, if, please, dear God, you know who he is, okay?
But please, for the love of everything good and sacred, don't Americanize the faith.
Don't do more damage to the faith.
Because,
I mean, America gave the world a lot of really great things.
The Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, blue jeans, barbecue.
But it also gave the world reality TV and gender reveals and 87 versions of Christianity where Jesus wears skinny jeans and only speaks in motivational quotes.
I don't know.
Please don't do that to the church.
Be the Pope who says, no, no, excuse me.
This is the truth.
At least the truth that Catholics believe.
This is right.
This is wrong.
Why?
Because there is a God and he does demand something.
Not because it polls well, but because it was true before you were born and it will be true after TikTok is nothing but a ghost town.
In a world where everything is customizable,
the only thing that people are now dying for to find
is something that doesn't change.
Something solid, something sacred, something that says, this is a rock.
Build your life here.
And if an American Pope could say that, well, I mean,
that just might be the most radical thing he could ever do.
Who is he?
I don't know.
We're going to find out from some people who actually watch this stuff and know
coming up in
just a second, though.
I tell you, I'm.
Today is kind of a.
Today's kind of a special day.
Yesterday was as well.
But today, you know, I told you two years ago, two years ago yesterday,
that my family was going through some things and that my daughter had been rushed to the hospital.
And,
you know, I gave you the distinct impression that it was
suicidal.
problems that we were dealing with.
And I don't even think I said it was my daughter.
I just said one of my children.
And
all of my children have gone through stuff like this.
I don't know.
Maybe it's because
I don't know.
Maybe they have me as a dad.
I'm not really sure.
But
this morning I got up
and I saw my daughter's Instagram post.
And I haven't talked to you about this because it's not my story to share.
It's hers.
But I want to just share with you what I read this morning from my daughter.
She said, honestly, I haven't had the words for this post come to me yet.
I knew I wanted to post for my two-year mark,
but I haven't been able to figure out what to say, what those words are, so I'm just going to start typing and hope this goes well.
On this date, two years ago, around 8.30 at night,
I was admitted to the ER at Baylor Medical Center right by my house.
I had taken action to end my life and my time on this earth.
Two years ago you'd barely get a smile out of me.
I was self harming.
I was eating one meal a day.
I didn't feel I had purpose in my life and I was questioning Christ.
I felt like He had abandoned me, and I was nothing more than a waste of space.
After doctors did some tests,
they told me if I had taken just a few more of those pills, I wouldn't have made it to see the sunrise again.
They kept me in the hospital for a few days and then proceeded to admit me to Mesa Springs Mental Hospital to start my healing process.
I was admitted May 10th.
I was discharged on May 17th, and on the drive home, I specifically remember making one decision that if I was going to stay alive, I was not going to live like this anymore.
So I started seeing my therapist weekly, reading my Bible, and getting to know Christ again.
I started surrounding myself with friends who set a good example for those around them, which made me want to strive to better myself.
Fast forward to today.
I've devoted my whole life and my career now to Christ, and I'm in constant
and I'm in constant gratitude that I get to experience little things like senior prom and graduation next week because of him.
In almost every picture that gets taken of me now, I'm either laughing or have the biggest smile on my face.
I have a healthy relationship with food,
and I love my Savior.
Now, I hate sappy posts, so I apologize for being hypocritical with this post, but I just hope my story can help someone.
I just hope my story can help someone who is struggling with these feelings too, because you're never alone.
And I know it's cheesy, but there is light at the end of a very dark tunnel.
And I know because I'm looking at it right now.
Please don't be afraid to ask for help, and always remember that you are so loved by others around you, and especially Christ.
Here's to two years.
Keep going.
You know, I said this yesterday
That God
doesn't abandon us.
We usually abandon him.
He doesn't give us problems.
He's not testing us.
He doesn't make mistakes.
I'm an alcoholic.
We've had three suicides in my family.
And
three of my kids have attempted.
And you try to live your life right and you try to do the right thing.
But most of the time, I don't even know what it is.
I'm a parent now.
I have kids in their mid-30s, and I have my last one is just graduating high school, and it was a different world when I was raising the kids who are now in their 30s.
And I spend most of my time when we were raising these last two going, I don't know.
I don't know.
I've never dealt with any of these.
I can't even relate to the problems.
I wouldn't want to be a kid right now.
It's horrible.
And you ask yourself,
why?
I'm trying to live my life right.
I'm trying to do everything you say.
But he doesn't make mistakes.
Whether my alcoholism and our family's struggle with serious depression and suicide is
genetic, I don't know.
I don't really care.
I really don't care.
What I do care about is conquering it, not giving into it.
Because
all of the struggles that you're going through, if you find your way, and you can, if you find your way around them
and you put them in your past and you conquer them, your dragon,
you become so strong.
And all of a sudden, that becomes such a blessing to not just you because...
You know who you are and what you're capable of,
but also because, as my daughter, I'm so proud of her saying this,
I just hope my story can help somebody else.
I know people don't believe in angels, some don't believe in angels, some don't believe angels are, you know.
I think my mom's looking out for me.
I think my family, you know, has passed is there looking out for me.
I believe in angels.
But
we are the real angels, each of us.
We are somebody else's angel.
Be that person.
And don't ever, ever, ever, ever, ever give up.
More in a minute.
So whether it's a tornado or a hurricane, sometimes it's a grid failure.
Sometimes it's economic collapse.
Sometimes it's just a slow, steady decay that nobody notices until it's too late.
There are a lot of reasons you might end up needing emergency food.
Turns out none of them are fun.
I don't know.
you know, there's not like one.
I'm trapped in Disneyland and everything is going great and I need food supply.
None of them are like that.
They've helped millions of Americans at My Patriot supply.
Millions of Americans have prepared for the unthinkable and they've earned over 70,000 five-star reviews doing
it.
I keep their three-month emergency food kit in my home.
Well, I did before I lost it in a boating accident along with my guns.
But in a real crisis, nothing matters more than knowing your family is not going to go hungry.
Each kit will give you 2,000 calories a day per person for three full months.
The food tastes great.
It lasts up to 25 years.
It ships fast.
And right now, it's $200 off, a deal they rarely offer.
We can't control what's going on in the world, but we can control how prepared we are.
This $200 off discount is only available for a limited time, so don't wait.

So, yesterday I was doing a podcast.
I don't even remember what time it was.
It was right afternoon, I think.
And
I start the podcast, and I'm doing it with Bishop Strickland.
He's the guy that Pope Francis said, you're no longer a bishop.
And he's the guy that was like, I don't really think you're the Pope.
And he's a good Catholic.
He just really disagreed with his Pope.
And he said, you know, there are ravenous wolves in our own camps.
And so I'm starting this, and we were going to talk about the conclave and what was happening.
And as I started the podcast, I look up to one of the monitors and I see white smoke.
And
so we just
did the podcast talking about what was going on and who the possibilities were and
what it means, what the papacy means, what is in the future.
And it was a fascinating conversation.
And in the end, we found out an American Pope and he was very kind about this guy.
I've later found out some things that this guy did to Bishop Strickland that would have made me think Bishop Strickland wouldn't have nice things to say, but he did.
You can find that wherever your podcast is.
Glenn Beck.
All right, podcast available everywhere tomorrow.
All right.
It's time to take that big step and move, which means both selling your home and buying another one.
Oh, jeez.
I hate that.
Now, that's one chance to price it as well.
To time it.
To find the right buyer, to find the right home without...
missing something you never even knew you were looking for.
That's the thing about real estate.
It is full of blind spots.
The foundation looks fine until the first heavy rain.
Then the neighborhood that seemed quiet on Friday night rolls around and the buyer who's all smiles until the deal starts to slip.
All of that stuff means you need a great real estate agent that really knows what they're doing.
Somebody vetted, experienced, professionals who know how to read the market, catch the signals, guard you from the mistakes that don't show up in a photo gallery.
Because in this market, you don't get a do-over.
And when the stakes are this high, trust me, isn't enough.
You need a partner who's going to get it done right the first time.
We have that partner for you.
It's a freezer.
I don't charge you for this.
We just give you a recommendation of the best one around you, in our opinion, that we have vetted Six Ways to Sunday.
Tell us where you're moving from and to RealEstateAgents I Trust.com.
That's RealEstateAgents I Trust.com.
If you're tired of the mainstream echo chamber, break out.

Welcome to the Glenbeck program.
We're so glad that you're here.
We have John Henry Weston on with us.
He is the co-founder and CEO of LifesightNews.com.
He is over in Rome right now.
He was there when they announced the new pope, an American Pope.
I don't know why that scares me just a little bit.
You know,
would you like fries with that i
anyway uh maybe it's because i know all the elites uh in the united states not so good not so good um but uh anyway uh i i don't know anything about this this guy um but the guy who does know is john henry weston and he is here with us now hi john how are you
Very good to be with you, Glenn.
I am literally standing in front of St.
Peter's Basilica.
We're
sunny day, and it is unbelievable what's just happened.
We were walking around while the announcement was being made in the crush.
Like to walk around, you had to exuse yourself through people.
You were in a crush of a crowd, kind of like a rock concert.
Yeah.
But it was everywhere.
It was all the streets filled.
And no one knew he was an American because he didn't speak a word of English during the announcement from the Logi at Knocko.
I know.
And he speaks perfect English.
So he's American-born.
He's a Chicago boy.
So, how are you feeling about that one?
Is it just me that's like, I don't know.
I mean, you know, Bishop Strickland would be good.
I'd go for that one.
But what do we know about this guy?
Okay, so this is where it gets scary.
So in the Catholic world, Bishop Strickland was the bishop, the holiest bishop in the whole church in the America.
Everybody knew it.
The guy spent three hours of prayer a day in church.
That was apart from his Mass.
In other words, the service that he himself says.
So everybody knew who he was the holy is.
He got removed, though, because he was,
well, he went up against the machine.
Francis was going anti-Catholic in his teaching on all sorts of issues, including
fooling around with abortion, contraception, homosexuality, divorce.
So all of it was going offline.
And Strickland was one of the only ones who spoke up.
You know, he is a, you know, a guy from Tyler, Texas, like middle of nowhere.
Even if you're in America, have you heard of Tyler?
And so, you know, the poor guy,
he gets removed.
Now, the problem is, when you're a holy bishop like that,
you attract people.
There's a story about the courage of ours you guys can look up, and it's wonderful, you know,
Hodunk town, middle of nowhere, and they built trains to it because they sent this holy priest there.
Bishop is the same.
700 families moved to Tyler, Texas, if you can can believe it.
Wow.
And they, you know, and there was all sorts of priests, all sorts of religious orders moved there, and then he was yanked from them.
So
super sad story, but unfortunately, and much more so even now, it was done with the cooperation of our current Pope.
The reason being is our current Pope was then the head of the Congregation for Bishops and was involved in doing an investigation on Strickland and in removing him.
And you might think, oh, was there anything really wrong with Strickland?
No, he had the best numbers in terms of per capita seminarians.
His financial situation was in great shape, like the rest of them aren't.
And, you know, there was just great things going on in the diocese.
Unlike most places, they don't have any sexual abuse scandal or anything like that.
What they had was a great bishop.
And he was a holy one.
And those holy ones are used to making noise sometimes.
So my podcast,
tomorrow that comes out everywhere is with Bishop Strickland.
And we were talking during when the smoke started.
And we were recording this podcast.
And
so he asked, when we get the name, he's like, what is the name?
What's the name?
What's the name?
And I told him.
And he said, oh, he's.
He was the head of the Council of Bishops.
And I said, what do you know about him?
And he said, well, you know, there's some things that he's done that I don't necessarily agree with.
But he did not, I mean, honestly, I got the impression he really didn't know much about him.
There's no way he didn't know about this guy, right?
Well, yeah, he also knew
he would regard it true, and he would regard it as worse than him.
He wouldn't even think of himself in the scenario.
But what's much worse, well, from his perspective, is that he elevated, that's Francis elevated Cardinal McCarrick.
Excuse me, McCarrick.
That's a slip of the, that's a Freudian slip, honestly,
McElroy to
Washington.
And this is the thing.
That also had to be done with the current Pope.
So now there's going to be an excuse, because the excuse right away is, look, that is Pope Francis's will.
What could you do with it?
You're the underling.
If you object, you're just going to get turfed anyway.
Okay,
that makes you kind of weak anyway, but let's just say that's it.
That's why the number one sign all of America, in fact all the world, should be looking for is the restoration of Bishop Strickland.
Bishop Strickland is still young for a bishop.
There's no way he can be retired.
He's a young man
and
for a bishop.
He's like 65.
And so he has to be restored.
If you want the true signal, the one sign that will indicate where Pope Leo XIV is coming from, watch Tyler Texas or wherever he's put, because if that man is not reinstated, there's something really wrong.
Wow.
What else do you know about him?
I mean, are there any good signs that maybe he's going to be different?
Well, there's this.
Okay, so when,
if you look up in history, there is a Pope called Pius IX.
He came in actually as kind of a liberal.
Once he got elected, he
and and there was a bit of trfuffle in the world especially in Italy he converted he had he became orthodox he became in fact he became one of the most orthodox popes he he made he worked against all heresies
is that the Pope Pius
Pope was that the one in the 20th century
No, that was before that.
The one before that.
That was Pius X, you're thinking of.
But
what that tells us is the grace of the office can change the man, because literally all the world's Catholics pray for the Pope.
So, you know, he gets bestowed on him this huge responsibility in office and position, if you will.
And it's unlike
a political position.
It's a position established by Jesus.
And he said, Jesus said to the first Pope, to Peter, you know, I will pray for you.
So it's a very, very specific kind of a role.
So there's there's a great hope uh when it comes to the pope and the possibility of change even for weak men because all men are weak and yet he's called to fulfill almost a supernatural task you know to be the vicar of christ on earth the representative of jesus for jesus's church he's not he's not uh some kind of altered jesus he is just the representative of jesus's church and so he's that's why the pope is not about making his own roles he can't change anything to do with the religion at all.
He's just there to enforce it, to bring unity in the faith.
And that there's only unity in the truth.
So he's there to basically uphold the truth of the faith.
Well, but you do know, I mean, you know this.
You're Catholic, and so you know this.
But I mean, look at the change that John Paul made.
in the world.
I mean, it was Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan, and Pope John Paul that ended communism.
And we just don't have those kinds of leaders.
And this particular
now Pope
has been railing against Donald Trump.
So it's not exactly like he's friendly to Donald Trump or what Donald Trump
is doing.
Yeah.
And it's funny because he's a registered Republican in China.
Is he really?
Yeah, so that's kind of odd.
But at the same time, he's anti-Trump.
So what does that mean?
It didn't strike me as healthy, particularly because, hey, if you look at his last tweet before he became Pope, it was from like April 15th,
you'll see it's bashing Trump's immigration policy.
It's a retweet of somebody else bashing Trump's immigration policy.
So that's pretty bad.
He's real bad on immigration.
And you know, most of the bishops in the U.S.
are.
They either don't get it or choose not to get it or they want to show favor with Francis, who knows.
But he seems to be on the same page.
Also, when it comes to things like COVID, there was very few people, honestly, Glenn, though, who were on the right side of the COVID thing, which is now plain and clear, but back then wasn't.
So, you know, he was fully masked, talking to the media.
He was back and forth about how you should receive Holy Communion in the hand, which actually should be disastrous for Catholics.
I don't know how that went down.
He wanted confession by phone call, which doesn't even work.
So those are oddities as well.
But, you know, there were some signs of hope.
He asked about anything hopeful.
There was.
So when he got out there on the loggia for the first time,
Francis was like in his liturgical underwear relative to this, what this guy did.
This guy went back to the traditional vestments of a pope when you get out there because these are thousand-year-old traditions.
Francis basically threw them out and just said, now I'm going to do my own thing.
He went back to it.
So that was interesting.
He said lots of it in Latin.
And then he did something really neat.
So you know how in the Bible it says, at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow and every head shall bend?
Well, he did that.
He was praying, and at the name of Jesus, you could see, if you look at the camera closely, you'll see.
He just
slightly bows.
And I thought, wow, that's a pious practice of many, many Catholics and Christians, a scriptural understanding where they literally do what the scriptures say, bow their head in the name of Jesus.
And then he did something else that I thought was really neat.
He went to give his first blessing as Pope.
And, you know, it's in Latin because there's every country in the world standing out here, and Latin's the one language that everybody understands.
And he gives him this blessing, and he starts to tear up as he gives him the blessing.
I thought, you know,
signs of hope,
and hopefully, signs of conversion and whatnot.
And so we'll see.
There is hope that way.
And there's other things that you could say he was
not nearly as far left as Manchester.
So, yes, there's hope.
And you know,
that's where we're at.
Well, the mood in
Rome,
what was it like when everybody realized, oh crap, he's an American.
I mean,
nobody expected that.
It didn't.
I don't think that happened till today when everybody went home and realized.
Because the guy's Italian's perfect.
His Spanish is perfect.
He was in Peru for the longest time.
And on the loga, not a single word of English.
The first time English came out was today.
Today, Today, in his first Mass as Pope, all the way through, they're going through the Mass.
I know lots of it Latin and very chant.
And so it's, for your American audience, for most of the audiences, it'll look like a Latin Mass.
It was an Italian Mass with a lot of Latin in it, which was kind of cool.
But
at the start of the hobbling,
out comes perfect English.
And you're like, oh my gosh.
Because this is the first time we have an American Pope.
So we've never had this kind of an English that we could all inherently not only understand, but it's so clear.
And you're like, whoa.
So that's going to be something new
because the American church is going to be reached in a way that
it never has been.
Because you're going to have absolute clarity of language.
And we'll find out, for good or for ill, what that's going to mean.
But, you know.
Despite all of what I know, and I know a lot, unfortunately, that's not great.
I'm still hopeful.
We're called to be a people of hope.
I believe in conversions.
I believe in miracles.
I do too.
And
I'm looking forward to it.
And if it's, you know what?
If it's another Francis, if it's a Francis 2.0,
the one great thing is our Lord said, I will be with you to the end of time.
The gates of hell shall not prevail.
And I will never give you a cross too heavy for you to bear.
Yeah.
And it always works out.
It always works out to his advantage, you know, and which is always our advantage as well.
So
uh i am hopeful and i pray for not only this new pope but also for all of the leadership from every religion in the world we need them to stand up they are critical well

More Glenn Beck coming up.
Do you ever notice how politicians secure their fancy homes with gates and guards while telling you that your security concerns are a bit overblown?
The biggest threat to your home isn't even at your front door, actually, in 2025.
Thieves don't need
to pick your lock or wear ski masks anymore.
They're using keyboards to steal your home's title from thousands of miles away.
It's one of the fastest growing cyber crimes in America right now.
And regular people are the primary targets.
These are digital criminals that are finding your property records, which are public information.
They can forge your signature.
They can transfer your title into their name.
And then they can start taking out massive loans against your equity.
The worst part of of all this, of course, is you might not discover it until months later when suddenly you've got a lien against your house or a foreclosure notice in your mailbox.
With AI technology, it's making all this, of course, much, much worse.
They're making document forgery easier than ever.
It's getting worse by the day, and that's where Home Title Lock kind of steps in and they just become your digital guardian.
They don't just monitor your title, they put a virtual barrier around it, and they make sure they alert you if anything goes down immediately.
The team of experts works with you to shut the whole thing down before the serious damage is done.

Welcome to the Glenbeck program.
So we have reached a critical tipping point in the United States.
For the first time this year, interest payments on the federal debt surpassed the defense budget.
And it is now on track to overtake Social Security, which would make our interest on our loan the largest part of our payments on our debt.
Okay.
And this has never worked out.
I mean, you look at history, Habsburg, Spain,
ancient France, Ottoman Empire, British Empire.
It never works.
It never, ever works.
We're going to talk to Russ Vogt, the guy in the Office of Budget Management,
because
cutting spending needs to be done with a chainsaw, and it's not.
And we're also devaluing our dollar.
Now, there's some really good things.
that are happening, but this is the guy in the White House who
believes what you believe, believes what I believe.
How can we help him get giant cuts and reduction in this government?
How can we help him?
We're going to talk to him next.
This is Glenn Beck.
If you're still paying a major mobile phone company every month for your phone bill, you might be casting votes that you didn't mean to.
A lot of these companies are pouring money into causes that stand against everything that you believe in, whether it's restrictions on religious liberty, radical social agendas, or policies that actually hurt American families.
Patriot Mobile is doing things just a little differently.
They're America's only Christian conservative wireless provider, and they give you nationwide coverage on reliable networks, excellent customer service, and a portion of every dollar goes to support organizations that defend free speech, the sanctity of life, religious freedom, and our first response.

This is
Hello, America.
One of my favorite guys in Washington, see Washington, D.C., is Russell Vogt.
He is the Office of Management and Budget Director.
He really, really gets it.
And he also has wanted posters all over Washington, D.C.
saying, he is a danger to our democracy.
Anybody who's got those wanted posters from the left, I'm a fan.
I'm a fan.
He joins us to talk about the skinny budget, the super, super fantastic, beautiful bill that is coming out, and some things that I have real concerns with.
I want to know, how can we help get the right things done?
Russell Vogue joins us in 60 seconds.
First, here's the thing.
Most dog food is just that.
It's food.
It fills them up, but it doesn't fill them out.
It's missing all the good stuff, the nutrients, the probiotics, the vitamins, all the things that keep your dog looking great, feeling strong, and acting like that bouncy ball of chaos you fell in love with.
That's where Rough Greens comes in.
You don't have to switch their food.
Just sprinkle rough greens on top.
It's a simple addition that packs serious nutritional punch.
Most dogs love the taste and their owners love the difference it makes in their dog.
Sometimes in energy, sometimes in digestion, sometimes in a shinier coat.
In my case with Uno, it was all of those.
When your dog feels good, you'll see it in a hundred little ways.
The way they run and play, the way they look at you, and when you know you're the hero in their story.
Get a free Jumpstart trial bag for your dog today.
Just cover the shipping.
Go to roughgreens.com.
That's roughgreens.com.
Use the promo code back, r-u-f-f-greens.com, promo code back.
You don't have to change your dog's food to improve your dog's health.
Add a scoop of rough greens.
Russell Vogt, Office of Management and Budget.
He is the director and
one of my personal heroes, and I think yours too, Stu.
Welcome to the program, Russell.
Thanks, Glenn.
Appreciate you having me on.
You bet.
Okay, so I want to talk to you about
the Republicans because I believe they're kind of a waste of space.
They are not doing the things that I think the president promised, and that is cut the budget and cut regulation in dramatic ways.
And President Trump has been playing very, very nice with them, trying to get them to do what I think is something by passing the big, beautiful bill.
Can you tell me where we stand on this and what's in it?
We're working through it.
Right now, the House
has a they're trying to meet their instructions.
They basically passed a budget that would have 100 or 1.5 trillion in savings and about 4.5 trillion in tax relief and they are working through to get a bill that can pass and we're right there with them trying to get it done and I think it would be big savings.
We could go north of that.
And I think
that is the goal is to try to figure out how to make this a historic opportunity to both extend the tax cuts, do the tax cuts the president wanted to do on the campaign, no tax on overtime, some other things, no tax on Social Security benefits,
and then to really make sure that this is an opportunity to have some of the highest reforms to mandatory spending since the 1990s.
And there's a lot that we can do in this area.
And I think that the House right now is trying to put these bills together.
we spent so much time debating whether you have a couple bills or one bill.
We lost some time in that and we're trying to catch up.
And I think they're hard at work, and we just got to be right there by them to help them get it done.
So when are we expecting this to be voted on and possibly go through?
My hope is next week that they pass it out of committee, the two big committees of ways and means and energy and commerce, and then go to budget and set up a vote thereafter on the House floor.
That's our hope.
That's what we're working towards.
I don't think they've noticed yet the committees, but
that's what we're
working on.
Russ, can you do me a favor?
I mean, I'm sure you've done this to Congress, but I don't know the American people really understand how dire this situation is.
I mean, I got a letter from a family member who I just love dearly a couple of weeks ago, and he said, Glenn, you know what the president is doing?
And I said, Well, what the president is doing is trying to save the country from the great reset because a reset is coming and you want it to be towards shareholder capitalism, not stakeholder capitalism.
But with our debt the way it is, the interest rates that we're now paying bigger than the defense budget, no country has ever survived this.
Can you give us some idea on
how serious, I mean, Congress needs to move a little quicker.
That's the, you know, look, we have $36 trillion in debt.
As you, you know, I left office the first time under President Trump, we had about $300 billion per year in interest costs, and now it's above the defense spending at $900 billion.
So we've got this enormous interest cost as a result.
And it's one of the reasons why you've heard an emphasis from the administration on balance, on taking dramatic actions through Doge.
Our budget that you referenced in the lead-up is the lowest non-defense spending since 2000 just for inflation.
And I think what we would try to do to deal with kind of the paralysis on Capitol Hill is to change the reality on the ground.
I mean I think that's what Doge has done in a fundamental way and we're going to try to make those savings permanent through a couple of different ways but it's to force Congress to if they want to be a part of the the process, you know, come alongside of us, but we're going to move in as much as we can within the parameters of the law and the Constitution.
We're going to move as fast and aggressively as possible to change the reality on the ground with reductions in force, with reorganizations, with doing a programmatic review of spending that doesn't have to go out through the use of rescions.
There's a whole set of tools in our box that we're going to use aggressively to get Congress moving
in our direction because
we cannot be in a normal situation as an administration where we just kind kind of send bills up and wait on them.
We have one big bill that needs to occur.
We've tried to put everything as we possibly can on that
because it has procedural protection in the Senate.
But
even in that, it was part of our thinking was to make sure we limit the number of things that we have to go to Congress for.
The
taxes,
I mean, I was hoping that we were going to get new tax cuts
and
not just the renewal of the Trump tax cuts, but I was hoping Congress would be at Sirius and we'd go even deeper than that.
And now
the White House last night, the president last night tweeted, you know, I know that Congress, you know, they're going to be wishy-washy on, you know, they're going to get blamed if they raise any taxes on the very rich.
But I'll go along with it if they want to do that.
That's a little scary.
We should be going the other way, shouldn't we?
Well, I think the President ran on a set of task proposals that he's been very excited about, committed out, designed towards the working class, that we, from an economic standpoint, also believe are really critical to getting
more and more of labor force participation out of this part of the economy.
And we think it would be a huge boon to the
impetus on the economy to growth.
And so we are living in a world where
we don't have the ability to have unlimited tax cuts.
But if we're seeing a lot of different navigation on that.
Is it impossible to go back to the 2019 budget?
I mean, why can't we just reset and say, we're going back to that budget?
It was fine then.
It's fine now.
We are trying to do that with what you saw in the budget that we sent up.
That is essentially what that budget represents.
It is an effort to go back.
Non-adjusted for inflation, it goes back to 2017.
It's a 35% cut for most programs when we account for maintaining infrastructure and veteran spending.
But that's what we're trying to do.
Do the entitlements, the mandatory spending, the interest, do those have an impact on our ability to go back overnight to 2019?
Yes, they do.
And so that's really what we're trying to say.
And I do think that there's a newfound desire to cut spending, even in the context of a tax cut on the Hill.
And you have a ton of members that are really trying to make sure this is either deficit neutral or you have a, you know, this is a moment that can be used for significant mandatory reform.
So to get there, are tax hikes on the rich part of that plan?
Look, the president put out a truth this morning.
He said, look, I think he's of a couple of different minds.
He has always been very focused on the things he ran on.
This was not something that he ran on.
He ran on
no tax on overtime.
Right, right.
No tax on tips.
No tax on tips, all that kind of things.
And so
that's really what we've been trying to fit in to the amount that Congress is ready to reduce reduce at the same time we have to extend the tax cuts from his first term.
I saw in the budget that we are increasing defense and homeland security.
Is that border?
Is that why this is happening?
On the border, it is like we want to increase and really buy out all of our increases over the next three to four years in one bill.
And we're doing that.
This is the paradigm shift, and I'm really glad you asked.
We no longer want to be in a situation where we have to get Democrat votes for defense increases, that then they put us in a situation where they have to lever up and demand that non def not only do our cuts not happen, but that we have to increase non defense spending because we need their votes in the Senate.
Secondly, they flat out oppose any border spending.
They put us on the precipice of a shutdown every single time we wanted to increase spend for ICE or the wall.
And so our view is to actually look to how they did it under the Joe Biden administration and put those increases on the mandatory one big dutiful reconciliation bill.
And then it puts us in a situation where we have united the Republican Party so your defense hawks are not working against us in the appropriations process to actually get non-defense cuts.
That's what we're trying to do.
And then we've got Doge working overtime with Pete Hagseth to get reforms within DOD because obviously there's waste there as well.
And at least in this first year, to make sure we reinvest those
and let the new leaders there get a sense of where the reforms need to be.
So with all the Doge stuff, I mean, A, this has nothing to do with Doge, but I was glad to see
Cash Patel yesterday come back out and say, no, no, I'll go with the budget on the FBI because he was saying, no, we can't live on that.
We need more.
And, you know, cot, cut, cut, cot, cut.
And I was glad to see that he kind of changed his position on that yesterday.
But, you know, with Doge, I'm seeing that Congress is like, well, we're not going to take all of the Doge recommendations.
Why?
Yeah, I mean, I think that's the question that Congress needs to ask.
There have been on two minds.
Number one, they say, send us all these rescission bills, rescission bills.
And I'm willing to send rescission bills.
Our administration is, the Trump administration is, but we, man, we have to pass.
And so if they don't pass, it impacts our ability to
use some of the tools that we would have executively to spend less of that money.
And so
we are working with them.
That's why I haven't formally sent up the 9.3 first round of rescuions from Doge.
I am having great conversations, surprisingly, with the Appropriations Committee, kind of historic in and of itself.
And they're trying to think through, okay, what's the version that we could do this a little bit different, but hit the same amount of savings.
And so that's a healthy back and forth.
I think that in and of itself is a sign of this is a little bit different, Glenn.
I mean,
this is more like the early 1980s when Reagan first came in than anything we've seen recently.
Congress is saying we, instead of we were going to ignore your budget, said we want to hit your number.
So it's early.
I don't know if that will materialize, but I am optimistic about it.
How optimistic are you that?
I mean, because I've talked to the the president about this just a couple of weeks ago, and I said we are playing such a dangerous game because we have to.
I mean, I think America,
I mean, no country's ever turned around from this point, and we have to.
And it just requires some really big boy pants to do it.
But
I'm just so concerned about it.
And I'm
you know, I'm hoping that we can get the
reduction on the staff.
I know that you're,
you're doing a fantastic job on reducing the number of federal employees.
Do you believe we're going to be able to get these things actually
codified?
So if things don't go well, or even if they do go well, but it's not President Trump the next time, that
this path remains this direction?
I do.
So I think if you zoom out for a second, I think we're going to come away from this year in particular.
We've had no wins on spending in like two or three decades.
Paul Ryan kind of put us in this cul-de-sac forever.
I think we're going to come away from this year with probably the largest mandatory savings
ever or adjusted for inflation since the 1997 balanced budget agreement.
That's going to happen.
I think we're going to see the appropriations process fixed for the first time because of our talking about executive tools like rescissions and impoundment.
It's going to cause the appropriations process a return to separation of powers that Congress actually listens to our cuts and we may not get all of them, but we'll get some of them.
And I think we're going to see something that is material progress on that front.
Third, I think I remember coming on your show in the first term, and you're just like, the extent to which the career bureaucracy is just impregnable is just totally unacceptable.
And you pushed us on that.
And I think, you know, many of us, the president, Elon, have spent a ton of time thinking about this.
And I think that will be one of the biggest stories, the extent to which the things that have been done, the, you know, the fork in the road has fundamentally changed the reality on the ground.
And so
we will have a much smaller bureaucracy as a result of it, notwithstanding the laws that are on the books that have been a barrier thus far.
I have to tell you, I stay away from Washington, D.C.
You know, as much as I try to stay away from the plague.
But next time I'm up, Russ, I'd love to sit down with you and do a long-form interview with you because you're really one of the good guys.
And thank you for everything you're doing.
You got it.
Anytime.
Thank you, Brian.
All right, let me tell you about Pre-Borne.
It is completely safe.
The safest option, really.
That's what countless women in crisis are told every day, often by strangers on screens or on the phone, sometimes by people they trust, but data tells a very different story.
A recent study from the Foundation for the Restoration of America involved 150,000 women.
They found over 11% who took the abortion pill, which is totally safe, totally fine.
You're never going to even know.
It's just no big deal.
11%
experienced serious complications.
That is a health crisis.
And the fact that no one is talking about it in the media, well, that's a moral crisis.
Pre-Born is working to change that.
They're America's largest pro-life ministry and they are offering ultrasounds, counseling, and ongoing support for women who deserve to know the full truth.
They need your voice alongside of theirs.
If you're a business owner, could you consider writing a larger donation for a write-off this year?
A donation of $1,000, $2,000, even $10,000 will make such a difference.
$15,000 will sponsor an ultrasound machine for a needy clinic, helping save countless babies' lives for years to come.
All gifts are tax-deductible.
Just dial pound250, say the keyword baby.
That's pound250 keyword baby.
Or find out all about it and donate at preborn.com slash Beck.
That's preborn.com slash Beck sponsored by Preborn.
10 Second Station ID.
It's an interesting conversation.
You know, the big news of the day, I guess, is this potential tax increase on rich people.
It's funny.
We've talked about that a bunch of times.
We should be clear.
I guess I was wrong on this.
I should admit when I am, because I said many times I did not believe Trump would go along with this.
I think that shows you
how bad the Republican Party is, that
he can't get...
any movement without this.
Because I don't think he's not a fan of taxes.
He's clearly not.
And obviously, he doesn't want rich people being taxed overall.
And I just hate this so much.
Rich people, you know who gets taxed?
The people who are the upcoming rich, the ones that are moving into a new tax bracket.
The small businessman who is starting to make it.
They're the ones who get taxed.
Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, they don't get taxed because they're not making income anymore.
It's all in their trust funds.
It's all in their stocks and bonds and everything else.
So they don't pay income tax.
That's why Warren Buffett's secretary pays more in income tax.
Yes, because Warren Buffett doesn't make an income anymore.
Okay.
He's paid in different ways.
And that's what's so frustrating because
you say, let's go after the trust funds, which I'm against.
Let's go after the trust funds.
They're never going to do that.
No one in Congress would ever do that because that affects the people who write the enormous, the real rich people in America.
Yeah, that's interesting.
I mean,
what I think you got from Russ there was
his priorities.
I don't think this wasn't an endorsement of Trump really wants higher taxes on rich people.
This was to get what he really wants, which is no taxes on tips and no taxes on overtime and
those
he'll compromise and he'll give the tax hikes on the rich.
I mean, I don't love it.
I frankly would like there to be another solution.
I'm fine with the no taxes on overtime and things like that.
Tax cuts are great.
But
there is a reality here, and I don't, you know, again, I'm not supporting this policy, but like there's a reality here that it's hard to get these things through Congress right now.
It's going to be hard.
So anything you cut, I want more spending cuts to make this not to go away.
The problem is they have
no room to wiggle with the majority.
Yeah, you know why?
Because they ran really bad candidates.
Yeah, that's why.
That's why I agree.
All right.

Oh, boy.
Oh, boy.
A Massachusetts man yesterday was charged with attempting to assassinate a member of President Donald Trump's cabinet after he brought Molotov cocktails to the Capitol.
Ryan English, who turned himself into Capitol police over the incident, allegedly admitted in January that he brought knives and two Molotov cocktails fashioned out of 50 milliliter absolute vodka bottles stuffed with cloth doused in hand sanitizer to the Capitol.
I mean, originally he was charged with unlawful possession of an incendiary device
and charged with carrying dangerous weapons on the grounds of the Capitol.
Looks like they're charging him now with a little bit more,
like trying to assassinate somebody.
And I mean, please, would you relax?
This is not terrorism.
Okay.
This is definitely not terrorism.
This is just another day in progressive paradise.
That's what this is.
It's, you know, Massachusetts man walks into the Capitol with Molotov cocktails made out of mini absolute vodka bottles because really, nothing says resistance like artisan arson in TSA approved sizes.
That's what, you know, that's really, I mean, it's, it's clever.
He has knives.
He has hand sanitizer soaked rags.
Never thought of that one.
Did you?
I mean, this guy's, I mean, he's got it going on.
He even has a note confessing he came to kill a cabinet member, but it is not political violence, okay?
That's, why are you so divisive?
Why?
Why?
See, now he originally planned to kill the Speaker of the House or the Secretary of Defense, but then, like a good Yelp reviewer, he changed his target mid-trip.
You know, he's like, I don't know.
And he settled on the new Treasury Secretary because apparently now budgeting is fascism, which we all know, we've known it forever, totally understandable.
What did the handwritten note say?
And I quote,
I can't do nothing while Nazis kill my sisters.
Oh!
Okay.
I don't even understand that, but I, you know, I do appreciate the everyone I disagree with is a Nazi defense.
It's a classic, classic defense.
Foolproof, really.
You know who else used it?
Antifa.
ISIS.
Every Twitter blew check, you know?
It's the battle cry of the unhinged.
That's what that is.
And let's be very clear.
This guy is not a domestic terrorist.
No.
No, he's a victim.
he is a victim probably suffering from some sort of acute ideological indigestion and we should have that checked you know if we had better health care system that would have that would this wouldn't have happened now he may have gotten too many rachel maddow monologues and not enough magnesium um but
I don't know.
He's just definitely not a terrorist.
We need to get that man a support llama and maybe a GoFundMe page, and everything will be so much better.
Meanwhile, if you accidentally walked your dog near the Capitol wearing a MAGA hat, you're probably still on an FBI watch list somewhere.
But Molotov cocktails, knives, assassination plot, it's mental health week, you know, at the DNC.
That's all that is.
From the same people who tell you they are guardians of the democracy, that they care about the Constitution, we're the protectors of children, you know, when they're not busy handing our children over to cartel coyotes for campaign contribution and TikTok clout.
This guy, if he had worn a red hat instead of carrying red rags soaked in flammable sanitizer, CNN would have hosted a 24-hour panic-a-thon.
Did you even know about this guy?
Even hear about it?
Now, crickets.
Because when violence is their kind of violence, when the rage is pointed at the approved direction, it's not a crisis, it's a cause.
It's the same crowd that cheers when a church burns down.
They shrug when our children just disappear, when they turn school libraries into grooming salons.
These are the same people that are now saying, you know, that I, that
Trendiagua, whatever that thing, I don't even know.
That sounds great to me.
Is that about water?
What I don't, that's a great thing.
So they're in a club.
It's like the Elks Club.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
These are the same people who have the audacity to look you in the eye and say you are the problem.
We live in a country where torching a courthouse is speech,
storming the Capitol with bombs is bravery, and mutilating children is healthcare.
But saying a prayer openly at a public school meeting, that's dangerous.
That's, I mean, can we get this dangerous terrorist out of here?
So telling again how the left, you know, isn't the party of violence, just say it louder.
Say it louder.
Maybe over the sound of the next Molotov cocktail shattering on democracy's front porch.
Good heavens.
I'm just,
I'm so sick of all of this.
So sick of all of this.
When you were telling that story, I had a moment of thinking,
there's an interesting part of the world I just don't understand.
Like, I feel like
I've been sheltered
a bit from particular conversations and thought processes that just don't hit me the same way.
And I have another example of this.
I'd like to maybe pick your brain up.
Now, this is a situation with a basketball player who is in the middle of a criminal trial.
And he is defending himself.
saying he did not commit this crime with any intent.
And so this is the technology.
He did have intent.
Yeah, right.
Like he's, you know, he, he's admitting he was in this situation.
Okay.
All right.
However, his intent was not this outcome.
Okay.
And so the,
again, like, I just feel like it's hard to, I don't, I don't understand, but you, you, as a man from the street, I grew up in Virginia.
I grew up in the streets.
The mean streets of Mount Verder.
The streets of Mount Vernon.
Melvin, Washington.
So you might understand this a little bit more.
No, I mean, I came right from the tulip fields.
You know, it was tough.
Tough.
Anyway, go ahead.
So, this is a NBA player Brandon Miller.
He got a text from his friend this night, the night in question,
and he was texted this:
I need my joint.
RL
just got Da Facin.
And I was interesting, how would you interpret that particular defense?
Just got my joint.
No,
I need my joint.
Oh, need my joint.
RL
just got Da Fakin.
Ralph Lauren,
somebody is selling fake Ralph Lauren clothing.
He needs to get to his joint, his house, because he has some way to prove that that person is doing wrong.
You think it's a copyright infringement?
I think it's a copyright, a very large,
okay, against a very powerful company that should be doing it themselves.
But here's this hero going and saying, I got to get to my house.
I've got to get the things that will help Ralph Lauren with this copyright infringement.
Wow.
That's how I read it.
That's X.
See, I've never
received that.
I've done this for almost 50 years.
That's true.
That's true.
Now, I don't think Brandon was from Mount Vernon.
So there may be a bit of a dialect difference
here.
Sure.
Apparently, what he was saying was
he needed his gun, which was his joint.
Okay.
RL,
real life.
Real life.
So he needed a gun gun in real life.
It wasn't a fake gun or
a video game.
Even though finger guns are very dangerous.
No.
Yes.
He needed the gun in real life.
In real life.
And the rest of the quote was just got to faking.
Just got to fake.
Which means that someone was putting on a front or faking.
So his defense was he believed he was asked to bring this gun to the scene of the crime because
not because of a real murder threat, but because someone was faking.
He was going to use it in a threat, and therefore he should not
be held responsible for his actions of bringing that gun.
Because the guy was just faking.
I'm sorry, I could follow the Ralph Lauren thing pretty easily.
I'm having a hard time following that one.
Wait, wait, wait.
So he's asking for, he's got to get his gun or...
So his friend called him and started texting him and said, hey, I'm having an incident of sorts
with my friendly gentleman.
Okay.
And I would need a firearm
to
take care of this particular situation, not because I'm going to use the firearm to kill someone, which is wound up, I believe, what happened.
Oh, okay.
But instead, you should bring that gun
because I'm just going to use it to kind of fake him out.
Threaten him.
Not even threaten him, but like show him the gun so we can prove he's defaking.
Now,
normally, when someone says he's not de-fakin',
that's kind of the problem.
It's usually when people say to you,
hey, bring my gun.
I'm having an incident.
Bring my gun.
Well, I would never say that.
I, of course, would say, I need my joint.
Well, you would say that.
Yes, of course.
And you would say, I need my joint.
I believe it's located at the bottom of the lake because I lost all of my firearms previously.
Just past the dike where the tulip fields are.
Right.
But again, like, you could get in trouble for bringing the gun to someone who's going to try to kill someone.
His defense was, he said it was just defakin'.
So everything should be fine.
And he wound up, by the way, getting immunity on this because he was testifying against his,
I guess, former friend, probably not too close these days.
Probably not.
No.
So he did get immunity.
He will be able to continue to play for the Charlotte Hornets.
Everyone should be fine.
Thank goodness.
Thank goodness.
We didn't lose this role, Monica.
You didn't lose that.
No.
No.
Oof, that is great.
Hey, kids.
He was just bringing it because somebody was defakin'.
Right.
This is what's well known now as defakin' defense.
Yeah.
It is a constitutional principle.
So
did he have anything else going for him?
Or was that the whole defense?
That was largely the defense.
He basically said, you know, I didn't think he was really going to kill him, was basically his defense.
And I will tell you, now that he has killed him, I will be very clear to testify against him.
And they were like, well, we can put this guy in prison, the guy who actually did the crime.
Now, when you say it that way, I kind of understand.
I'm like, okay, well, no, wait a minute.
I mean,
you shouldn't,
I mean,
again, I'm from the mean streets of the tulip fields, but
I have to tell you, I think it's in my world, it's pretty clear.
You don't use a gun.
to brandish it.
Right.
You should only bring it out when you really want to use it.
When you're going to kill somebody.
You don't even point it to somebody like, stop or I'll shoot.
You can give them that warning, but once you pull that gun, you better be prepared to pull the trigger.
Now, my understanding of these situations when you're having a conflict like this is you just buy a shotgun and you shoot it a couple times
outside of your front front window.
Yeah, nobody's going to come around.
Because that's what Joe Biden said to do.
Yeah.
And he's always right about stuff.
He's right.
So maybe the judge got it right and the jury got it right this time because that's all he was doing.
Effectively, Your Honor, I was just taking out my shotgun, opening up my door and going out into the front porch and shooting it in the air a couple of times,
which the president said was fine.
In fact,
you don't need an AR-15.
Just buy a shotgun.
Buy a shotgun.
Buy a shotgun.
Buy a shotgun.
Buy a shotgun.
That has two shots in it.
And then you waste both of them.
It just wasted the air.
Right.
And the guy is standing behind you now on the porch with a knife.
Because he waited for that second shot.
to go.
Then he came in.
Yeah, he's like, well, he only got two shots in that shotgun.
So,
so, okay.
So,
I feel like we've learned something here because I'm not being critical of anything that happened here, of course.
I just really wanted to understand how these decisions get made.
Well, no matter how you mean it,
I just want you to know I've lost all of my joints.
Oh, no.
In a boating accident.
Oh, really?
I did.
I did.
I did.
So
I can't use them to smoke someone, nor can I smoke any of my joints.
They're holding it all at the bottom of a little bit.
Just to clarify, are you defaking right now?
Or
what's the
I don't know.
You got a gun?
Here's our sponsor this half hour.
It's Patriot Mobile.
There's a strange ritual most Americans perform every single month.
We pay a giant mobile phone company to fund stuff we don't believe in.
With the money we wish we weren't spending for a service that usually frustrates us.
Aw, that's fun, right?
Patriot Mobile does things, I don't know, a little differently.
They're America's only Christian, conservative wireless provider.
They offer excellent coverage on dependable nationwide networks, all while supporting causes that you actually care about, free speech, religious liberty, the sanctity of life, and are veterans and first responders.
And unlike the other guys, Patriot Mobile will not slip a drag show into your data plan.
I know.
They make it easy for you to keep your money and also start putting your dollars to work in something you believe in instead of things that you don't.
So if you're tired of sending a few bucks every month to the causes that are destroying America, and honestly, why wouldn't you be?
Really?
Maybe it's time for serious change.
Patriot Mobile can bring you the change you're looking for, especially when it comes to the price every month.
So, what are you waiting for?
PatriotMobile.com/slash Beck or call 972 Patriot.

Glenn Beck.
Welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
Here's what I would like you to do.
I would like you to get your text out right now.
And give me the exact line that we were just talking about.
I want you to text this to a friend.
Just a friend.
Okay.
Just any random friend.
Quote.
Not a quote.
Just
text.
He just says you're just messaging it to them.
I need my joint.
R-L.
Just got Dafakin.
Okay.
Now, to understand the spelling of this, it is important.
J-U-S.
So not just, but J-U-S.
Got, G-O-T.
DA, D-A.
And then fake in is F-A-K-I-N apostrophe.
Okay.
No G on that.
Right.
Okay.
Just got Dafakin.
Okay.
Need my joint.
RL
just got defakin'.
Now, here's what I want you to do.
When you get a response, I want to just see what your friends say.
I want you to tweet it and hashtag Glenn Beck's joint
so we can, so we can, because, and I want to see, is there anyone in the audience, anyone,
millions of people, is there anyone that can send that and your friend will go, I'll bring the gun.
Where are we going?
Okay.
Anyone.
I don't think there's anyone in this audience that is going to text that to a friend and have your friend go, anything other than, what the, what,
are you high?
What is happening?
That's what I would expect to get back, but maybe not.
Maybe everyone's like, oh, gosh,
where should I bring your firearm?
Like, maybe that's,
maybe that's how your friend's going to respond.
I don't know.
But I want to see the responses.
So text that to a friend, anybody, just text it to a friend and then take that, post it on X, hashtag Glenn Beck's joint.
I just have to see the response from your friends.
This is Glenn Beck.
Somewhere along the way, healthcare stopped being about health, started being about paperwork, politics, a whole bunch of fine print.
You're told you have choices, but most of them cost a fortune and cover almost nothing.
Ease for everyone isn't just a workaround, it's a wake-up call.
It is the first national group plan open to every adult in America, which means you don't need to work for a specific company or fight through government red tape to get something that actually makes sense.
You pick a plan that fits your life, your needs, your budget.
The monthly cost start around $262 for a lot of people.
First time affordable has actually meant something in years.
Affordable.
No more paying for things you'll never use.
No more getting stuck with bills you never saw coming.
Just straightforward free market alternative in a system that has forgotten who it's supposed to serve.

This is
the Glenbeck Program.
Hello, America.
Welcome to the Glenbeck Program.
Douglas Murray is on with us here in just a second.
We're going to talk about his book on democracies and death cults.
But I want to start with something that has been hashed and rehashed so many times.
But
I think
I agree with Douglas on what he said, but I always bristle at anybody who's like, you can't talk about that.
You don't say that.
But that I don't think is what he was saying.
And so I just want to talk to him briefly about that and see exactly, have him lay what he said out,
because
I think he's making a very important point
that we all need to really, truly understand.
And then on democracies and death cults, because that's what we're in a fight against, a death cult.
Douglas Murray joins us in just a couple of seconds.
Stand by first.
Let me tell you about Rough Greens.
Your dog tends to live at your pace.
You want to go out jogging?
Love it.
You want to lie on the couch all day?
Love it.
They don't really have hard opinions, you know, have you noticed that?
But when they do start moving a little slower, sleeping a little longer, maybe not chasing the ball quite as hard, you kind of have to pay attention to that as well.
But you can help.
Rough Greens is a nutritional topper that you sprinkle right on their food.
It's loaded with probiotics, vitamins, antioxidants, digestive enzymes, everything that, I mean, you don't have to change their food to make sure that they get what they need.
Everything,
if you're serving them kibble food, everything's been baked out of it.
It's made to be able to sit on a shelf by government restriction for two years.
So there are nothing alive in that thing.
So many dog owners have seen renewed energy, better health, shinier coat, an overall much happier dog.

Just add a scoop of Rough Greens.
Douglas Murray, welcome to the program, sir.
How are you?
Very good to be back with you.
Thank you.
So
I mean, I hate to get into this because it's been talked about for so long, but I just, I think I agree with you, Douglas.
And I just want to make sure that that we're saying the same thing.
Can you lay out the controversy that you've been embroiled in here recently?
Do you mean, sorry, because I tend to be embroiled in quite a lot of controversy.
Which one are you talking about?
The one where you're accused of saying, don't listen to anybody unless they have an Oxford degree.
Something which, of course, I never said.
Yeah, I know.
Never would say.
I think this is the controversy that came up from my recent appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast.
The simple thing I said, which has been, I think, misrepresented by a very large number of people deliberately, is that everybody has the right to say anything they like about anything.
But that doesn't mean that all opinions should be regarded as being equal.
And when I was brought on to debate, and it it's not often in Joe Rogan's podcast that he ever does that.
He normally has people on you just give their opinion and you can take it or leave it.
But he felt that clearly that a pro-Israel voice like mine had to be countered
on air.
And when I was talking about my recent book, Risa Best Seller on Democracies and Death Cults, Israel and the Future of Civilization,
I got into the weeds of what has been happening in the last two years in the Middle East.
I got into it because, not just because I've written about it, but because I've seen it all up close.
I've spent the last couple of years mainly living in Israel and being embedded with the Israeli Defense Forces in Gaza and in Lebanon and elsewhere.
And I've seen this war up close.
And I discovered that the person I was being pitched against, who was wildly, wildly uninformed on issue after issue, which was just spouting and spouting and spouting, turned out never to have even been to the region.
And I said,
this is like if we were to discover that Chinese state media had somebody on all the time talking about America, claiming that America is a racist country, claiming that black Americans are currently being lynched and sold into slavery.
If we discovered that that person was rampaging across the Chinese media, but he had never been to America, didn't speak English, and obviously so because he's so wildly misinformed, we would regard that person as being almost comical in their ignorance, certainly malevolent.
So why should it be that when there are people at home here in America who are also just not informed, just as many British people are not informed, about big situations in the world that they're talking about, why should their opinion be regarded as being somehow sacrosanct?
I don't think it is.
And yes, I believe in standards.
I believe that elites have led us down badly.
Experts have led us down badly.
But it doesn't mean there is no such thing as expertise
or comparative expertise in matters.
And if people don't understand that and don't understand that, for instance, a journalist who goes and reports firsthand may well get things wrong.
But it's a darn sight better than somebody who's never left their bedroom and thinks they know the world.
You know, I just read a quote.
I think it was from Jefferson, and I've adapted it to modern times.
The man who reads nothing at all is better educated than the man who reads nothing but social media.
He said newspapers.
But
I think that's the kind of expert we have now.
that are running around.
And I don't believe in you have to be credentialed or anything like that.
I don't think you you have to have a formal education.
I don't think that hurts.
But I think serious people can do serious study on their own, especially in today's world,
and become an expert in a field.
But,
you know,
you also have to have enough...
humility to go, look, I'm not an expert in this.
I don't know.
I've just done a lot of homework and I'm open to different opinions, but here's what I found.
Right, absolutely.
And there's a lot of good that can come from that and we all do that to some extent.
But that is, as you say, the ignorance that social media in particular is able to push on people is extraordinary, not least because of the lack of humility.
And one of the things in that debate, it was really me against Joe and the comedian he'd put me on with.
One of the things that was startling about it was the sheer lack of humility of the guy I was debating.
I mean, he seems to think that he knew everything about Israel and the IDF, despite never having been there or met anyone or spoken with anyone on the ground in the IDF.
And he seemed to think that he knew better than the Israeli Defense Forces how they should protect their people from another massacre like October the 7th.
But maybe the generals in the Israeli army and the politicians and others who have been losing family for the last 18 months fighting in Gaza, maybe they do know something more than you have seen from social media sitting in Austin, Texas.
Maybe is my view.
I mean people quite often say to me,
you know,
what would you tell this politician or what would you tell this general when you meet them?
And I always say, I don't tell them anything.
I listen.
I listen.
Because that's much, much more important
because they know more about the proximate causes of the conflict and what they're doing to prevent it.
And when I hear and see these people, there was a guy, one of Joe Rogan's friends, who'd been propping up on social media recently, and he accepted this challenge that I put out, which was, if you know, if you have a plan for how you would get 250 hostages back from the densely built up and booby-trapped area of Gaza.
And if you know how to get 250 hostages back and how to kill or capture all the leadership of Hamas,
if you have a better plan than what the Israelis have been doing from the last 18 months, let me know and I will pass it on to anyone I know in Jerusalem.
Okay?
And one of these comedians decided to take up this challenge.
And you know what he said?
He said, among other things, he said, why don't they fight like men?
Why don't they fight like men?
And he said, I'm sorry, I've been to the funerals of young men who had no desire to have to ever be in Gaza again, who lost their lives because they were fighting house to house with terrorists embedded in mosques and in hospitals and in civilian homes and cropping up from tunnels all over the place.
And if the IDS and the Israeli Air Force had wanted to level the place, they could have done.
But they didn't because they wanted to minimize casualties on their opponent's side and minimize casualties on their own.
And you have to put up with some doofus claiming that he's the real man and he knows because he's sitting in a podcast studio somewhere two continents away.
And I think that is just objectionable on every level and displays a lack of humility and understanding that is almost pathological.
I tell you, Douglas, I mean, I think I struggled from this a little bit.
I mean, I've done this job for almost 50 years now.
But when I got into
television, everything changes so rapidly.
And I was pretty assured that I was right.
I think we had a big, you know, I spent a lot of money on research and everything else had really good,
you know, we were buttoned up.
But when I left there and I was reflecting on
what I had done,
I I came to the understanding, and I think this just comes from maturity and experience, and that is the only thing I'm certain of is that I'm not certain of anything.
I don't know.
I'm like you.
I will ask questions.
I will voice my opinion.
I will voice what I do know.
But that doesn't necessarily make it
the absolute truth.
I need to understand more of the situation.
Yes.
And you do do that.
And, you know, one of the things, Glenn, is that
all of us who, I hope, are curious and want to learn more and know more and understand things better,
we have that instinct, but it also doesn't mean that on the things we know about, including the things we've seen with our own eyes, that we should be lacking in confidence to say what we know and what we've seen.
It's a really tough place to be.
You have to have the confidence in what you do know, but you also have to have the humility to say, but I don't know everything.
Right.
And one of the things that I do know is that having seen war up close, not just in this conflict, but in others as well, I know what the difference is between
a death cult, as I call Hamaz, like a death cult like Hamaz.
that fights for death, fights to bring death to its enemies, fights to bring death to its own side, even to its own children.
I know the difference between the death cult like that and a democracy like Israel or the United States of America and our armies who fight for life, who fight to minimize casualties on our own side and fight to minimize casualties on the enemy side.
And there is all the difference in the world between these two things.
And when I see people finding it complicated to tell the difference between a democracy and a death cult, I think they are lost.
So let me start there.
I want to talk about the death cult because it's not just happening with Hamas.
I think the entire West, the world is
entangled with death cults all over.
And I want to talk to you about what people are maybe missing here.
We get into that with Douglas Murray in 60 seconds.

10-second station ID and then back with Douglas Murray.
So, Douglas, I want to talk about the death cults over in Israel, but I'd like to start with how they are all seemingly connected.
I mean,
the progressive death cult that we're fighting here in America,
they're all kind of the same thing in many ways.
Are they not?
Yeah, absolutely.
And just look at the way in which they're always supportive of each other.
Just look at the way in which here in New York, where I am, we had, again, two days ago, as I wrote in my column, the New York Post today,
we had hundreds of people descending on a university library in New York City, chanting glory to our martyrs.
Glory to our martyrs.
Who are the martyrs?
The
terrorists and rapists and beheaders and kidnappers of Hamaz.
Well, who is our and who is we?
Why would American students be claiming that rapists and beheaders and baby killers like Hamaz are their or our martyrs.
This is because, and I go into this in on democracies and death cults a lot, what is it that's happened in our society in America and in the West, that we have so many people in our midst who hate our own civilization so much that they will glorify the people who want its destruction.
Yeah, but wait, wait, wait.
It's not even, it's not, it's farther than that.
They somehow or another hate our way of life or our republic so much that they will side with people, if you're LGBTQ, side with people that will kill you if they're in power.
Yes.
Well, one of the great idiots of our time, the so-called gender expert Judith Butler,
said after the October 7th massacres, she, I think, identifies at the moment as a they.
She used to be a lesbian when I was growing up, and now she's a non-binary.
Anyhow, she's remained an idiot.
And
she said after October the 7th that people on the left in America must keep hold of the idea, the fact as she saw it, that terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah are progressive movements that demand our support.
Demand our support.
Now,
what is going on in the minds of people like this?
I mean, in one way, of course, we should think there's not much going on in their minds.
It's no easier to work out their minds than it is to predict the future by looking through the entrails of a chicken.
But just consider for a moment what is really going on.
What is really going on is there is a so-called progressive movement in America and the West that hates the West so much that they will grab hold of anyone they see as being anti-Western and give them their support.
Look at the student group of Columbia that's been under the microscope a bit more in recent weeks, thank goodness.
They say in their statements, as well as wanting wanting the abolition of the Jewish state and the destruction of the Jewish people and much more, they say they want, quote, the complete destruction of Western civilization.
The complete destruction of Western civilization.
And you know, one of the things that's very interesting is they show it and they mean it.
How do we know that?
Because among other things, whenever they have one of their protests, They will fly the Palestinian flag, they'll fly the Hamas flag, they'll fly the Hezbollah flag.
They'll never fly the flag of the United States of America.
If you have
a pro-Israel event that happens sometimes in America and Canada and elsewhere, you will guarantee you will see American flags and Israeli flags.
There will be the singing
of the Israeli national anthem and the singing of the American national anthem.
There's a student at Columbia who I got to know when writing this book who had fought in the American military.
And he had gone back to Columbia to continue his studies.
And in the middle of this terrorist encampment at his university, he he had the temerity,
in my mind, the guts and the patriotism, to walk into the middle of the encampment and fly the flag of the United States of America.
And he was the one who was attacked.
And he said to me afterwards, what has gone wrong in my country?
What has gone wrong that me flying the flag that I fought for and my friends died for should become some kind of a fence in the center of New York City?
This is the bigger question.
Why are there so many people among us who don't just hate Israel and support Hamas and support Hezbollah?
They hate America.
This is a rot that has to be identified.
So let's go there because it's happening all over the West.
I was just in London over the weekend.
It's not any better there.
And so
what has happened to us and how do we turn that around?
We'll get to that in just a second.
We're with Douglas Murray.
He is associate editor of The Spectator, but he's also got a new book out,
number one bestseller, on democracies and death cults.
A very, very important book to read.
It's
about Israel, but it's about all of us.
It's the entire West is up against this death cult.
Douglas Murray, we return with him in just a minute.
Standby.
This is Glenn Beck.

So we're talking to Douglas Murray.
He's the author of a book on democracy and death cults, and it's something that all of us are facing all throughout the Western world.
There are these cults that just, and I put the climate change people in the same thing.
They would rather see people die
than, you know,
have air conditioning and
working functioning economies because they believe, somehow or another, that the planet is going to, that we're going to destroy the planet, which I think is incredibly arrogant.
But
I'd put that in the same category.
But he's specifically talking about Israel and how this death cult is coming here in America as well, in our own universities.
Douglas, how did this happen to us and how do we stop this?
I think it's happened in one way in particular, Glenn, which is that, as I actually wrote about in my previous book, The War on the West, What we've seen in the last generation in particular has been a very careful indoctrination of young Americans into being anti-American.
Now, this isn't the case with all of them.
There are many fine young men and women in this country who've seen through this rot.
But by and large, they have been taught from the cradle upwards through the school system, through the university and college system, that there's something fundamentally rotten about America.
And what I mean by that is the way in which, for instance, everything that has been seen as good in the American past, every hero we have, has been turned into some kind of villain.
Look at the way in which the founding fathers have been attacked.
Look at the way in which almost every American president has been attacked.
Look at the way in which almost every American institution has been seen not as something that can go wrong on occasion and can be righted under the correct administrations and much more, but as fundamentally rotten.
Look at the way in which America has been presented, and increasingly I have to say from the right as well as from the left, as a country that has actually been a force for ill in the world.
And if you look at that, and then you look at the figures, for instance, asking young Americans and others in the West, would you fight for your country if it was under an existential threat like the threat that Israel has been under?
Look at the numbers and how low they are.
of the people who say, yes, I'd fight for my country.
And people like us throw up our hands and we say, how on earth could this be the case?
Who would risk their lives for for a country they've been told is rotten?
This is one of the big things in our era that needs to be turned around.
I saw it early because I saw it in Britain and Europe and I wrote about it there.
How British people had been told that their history was solely one of colonialism and oppression and racism and much more.
And I saw it happen to that society and demoralize the society of my birth.
And I see it now as well in America.
Americans have been deliberately demoralized in the last generation.
And this is something we have to turn around because it's also being pushed on us, pushed on us by countries that are very happy to teach us and push this false version of our own past on ourselves.
Look at the way in which the Chinese Communist Party loves to push this.
Look at the hundreds of millions of dollars, the billions of dollars that Qatar pumps into America, including the American education system, to try to turn young Americans against this country.
This is a concerted movement.
It's taking advantage of a weakness that exists in our society, which is a desire for self-criticism.
It's not even a weakness, it's a strength a lot of the time, the strength to be able to be self-critical.
But sometimes somebody else pushes on you the idea that your self-criticism should turn into self-laceration and eventually self-hate and self-destruction.
That's what we've seen.
And one of the positive things I say in democracies and death cults is that I have seen how a society can turn around.
Because I saw how young Israelis have been taught a version of this themselves.
But when they faced the time of trial, when thousands of terrorists invaded their country in a single morning on October the 7th, that same generation that was expected to be weak stood up and said, no, we can be strong and we will defend our people, our faith, our families, our way of life.
So I'm sure you've read the fourth turning,
and that was the big surprise in that hero generation with World War II.
Everybody expected them, you know, everybody said they're weak.
They've never worked a hard day in their life.
They don't know.
You know, they're never going to be able to save anything.
And they turned out to be what we now call the greatest generation.
And I think this new generation that is coming up right now is that hero generation again.
I think they're going to be, well, they're going to be the ones that lose it or save us.
But I really see all kinds of signs that they are the ones that are going to save us.
I absolutely agree, Glenn.
Everywhere in America I go, everywhere I get to speak to young people, to students, I speak in theaters, and I have a disproportionately young audience in attendance.
I see these young people coming up who, as I say, they've seen through the rot that they've been being taught.
And this gives me enormous encouragement about the future, as I know it does you and your listeners, because we have to be able to turn things around.
And the one thing I would say about that, it comes to the point of the fourth turning, is that
what really matters is
that when you come to the time of trial, which all societies come to, usually multiple times, you would hope it'll be further down the road than it tends to be.
But whenever you come to that moment, as Israel did on the 7th of October, it's not just about extraordinary people stepping up in extraordinary circumstances.
And I give some of the stories of the heroic young people, some of whom lost their lives, some of whom, thank God, are still with us.
But I give some of the stories of these people because one of the things I've realized so clearly and I try to bring across in On Democracies and Death Cults is it's not just about the time of trial, it's about how you have cultivated and cultured your young people in preparation for that moment.
The greatest generation didn't just come about by chance.
They also came about because they had been well cultured in America to understand the virtue of America, the goodness of America, the values of America.
They didn't come from nowhere.
They came from a country that still had the ability to feel pride in itself.
We have to be able to reinstall that.
We have to be able to remember that.
If this generation coming up is itself going to be fit for the moments of test which will definitely come, whether they are moments of trial like that which Israel has gone through and other societies have in recent history,
we'll see, hopefully not.
But in any case, it's not just about the moment and people rising to the moment.
It's what they do to prepare themselves in advance for that moment.
I'll tell you, you know, when I started the blaze, I don't even know, 15 years ago,
I just felt that we can't repair anything unless voices can be heard.
And they were all being silenced.
And, you know, Netflix was still sending movies out through the mail.
And I started the blaze to try to develop a home because I happen to believe at the internet.
It was so funny.
Roger Ailes told me he thought it was a fad.
And I feel like in so many ways that what I set out to do to disrupt, you look at the media now and you look at everybody, everybody, Megan Kelly, Tucker Carlson, Daily Wire, Blaze, we have disrupted that.
It is time that we set our sights on education and completely disrupt education, especially American history.
It has to be a priority in 2026.
I absolutely agree, Gremba.
And one of the things that's very important now is that here in America, with Donald Trump returned to the presidency, the right has got a great opportunity, the greatest in a generation.
And the question for me and for us is what do we do after that point of victory?
It's not enough that we just criticize and so on.
Because as you know, and as your listeners know, it's also about what we build.
It's about what we teach and the people we bring up in this country and this society.
And there's a historic opportunity to turn this around.
You know, the president often talks about common sense, and thank God common sense is back.
But it's also about what more we build on top of that, because
America is still facing all sorts of threats around the world and internally.
And as I say, A lot of these people who hate America and hate the West, they want to degrade us.
They want to do us down.
They want to demoralize us.
I think we can be remoralized.
I think we can be re-emorialized.
I think the youth is starving for it.
They're starving.
Of course.
Nobody wants to be brought up just to know what they're against.
One of the things I've seen from the soldiers I've seen fighting for their country and for their lives in the last couple of years is it's not enough just to know what you hate or
what hates you.
It's about what you love and what you want to defend.
We have a great amount in America and the West, more than anywhere else in human history, to want to defend and to love and to protect.
And we have the opportunity to reinstitute that ethos in America.
And I would say that there's a great advantage on our side, which is that the left has resentment.
It has resentment in spades.
It teaches people resentment.
It teaches them to live thwarted and unhappy lives in which they blame other people for their failures.
But we on the right and on the conservative side have a much better set of tools.
We have aspiration.
We have love for what we have.
We have the ability to cherish and to nurture and to bring up people who orient themselves not in the path of
resentment, but in the path of genuine pride and gratitude for what we have and a desire to sustain it.
Douglas, I can't remember the last time I said this, if I ever had said this to somebody.
I think you're one of the most important voices
of our day.
Everything you're saying is absolutely true and can be done and must be done now.
The name of the book is On Democracy and Democracies and Death Cults.
It's written by Douglas Murray.
Very well thought out.
A case very well made.
And it is a case all of us need to understand on democracies and death cults.
Douglas, thank you.
We'll talk again.
Great pleasure to be with you and your listeners, Glenn.
Thank you.
Bye-bye.

So last hour,
we asked you to tweet a phrase to your friend because it's in the news.
It's somebody who just got off because they brought their friend a gun, but they said they didn't know that their friend was going to use it.
They thought they were just going to
show it off and scare the guy away and ended up in somebody's death.
And they...
They tweeted.
Their friend tweeted to them.
What was it?
Texted.
It was need my joint.
RL just got defakin', which translating means, I need my gun in real life, but this guy is just faking.
He's putting up a front.
So the defense was, I didn't think he was going to use it.
My defense would be, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, nobody knows what that means.
So I asked you to text that to your friends and then
go without explanation and then
put it on X, their response, and make sure you hashtag
Glenn Beck's joint.
So lots of responses to this.
Lots of responses.
Go ahead.
Give me them.
Some.
I will say the most common one was just question mark.
There's a lot of that.
Right.
I would say,
do you need baby aspirin?
Right.
Maybe having a stroke.
I don't know.
That was actually one of them.
It was
just one person said, need my joint.
RL just got to fake in.
And the person responded, what?
Are you okay?
Are you having a stroke?
Another one was, what?
And she said, do you understand my text?
And the response was, do you need your joint relocated?
Which I go, kind of, okay.
Another one, which I like.
Glenn is a chiropractor.
Someone named Allison said, I need my joint.
RL just got to fake it.
And the response was, I will get your gun for real life.
Oh, my gosh.
And then he said, I was listening too.
A decent amount of people were like, I like, I'm listening to Glenn too.
So that was a decent amount of stuff.
That's That's great.
But people not necessarily immediately recognizing what was going on.
I don't have a person in my life that would know what that meant.
Not a person in my life.
And what does that say about us?
We were just talking to Douglas Murray about really understanding different cultures.
I mean, we don't study.
We don't understand different cultures.
We should get out and travel more.
Right.
You know, to the, you know, the Far East.
No, now it means
I should,
I should, I don't know, go to my kids' school and listen to what's happening there.
What's fascinating about it is like, you know,
people will be like, oh,
there's a racial divide, so you don't understand different races.
I don't think that's it.
I mean, maybe that's partially it, but it's also cultural and age and geography.
And
I think also now to the point of like online and offline.
And like,
it's in your own house.
The divide is in your own house.
It's weird.
It's like, have you ever noticed that people can live like two blocks from each other over in England?
They've got like 600 different accents.
And it's the size of like one of our supermarkets, the country is.
And you're like, how do you all have a different accent?
You live right next to each other.
It's like that.
We're all speaking a different language, and sometimes we live in the same house.
I don't know if that's the melting pot thing that might come undone.
Have a great weekend.
This is Glenn Beck.
