And I, no, I didn't know that.

Well, now we know it's credible.

I will say this.

I don't want this man to step down.

I want him to be the nominee.

I

want Joe Biden to be the nominee for the Democratic Party.

And it's wrong to have him have to step down.

He's the right man for this race.

He needs to stay in it.

Yes, I'm much too, but much to my own eternal shame,

when I do put politics ahead of everything else, I agree 100%

with you.

Because it's not really going to get better with Kamala Harris.

Oh, no.

Imagine her

answering the phone at 3 a.m.

Good God.

I will say,

and I think she did that in her previous jobs when she was working for a mayor in Los Angeles.

But I think if you kind of go to

the real future of the country, my initial reaction was similar to yours, and I've sort of evolved on this, Glenn, which is

I'm really terrified for the next six months of Joe Biden being president.

Should he step down immediately for the good of the country?

Of course he should.

However, if he he does so, it's more likely we have four years and six months of a president who's putting our country in danger.

One that might be more awake, might be more coherent in speeches, but is also very, very damaging to the future of our country.

And so I'm kind of at that point now.

It's like, however you get these people out of office.

for the next five four and a half years or four years is almost more important than what happens in the next six months, fingers crossed.

Well, I have to just point out that we have a puppet president now, and we have for a while, and we've told you, we've asked you over and over again, who's actually running the country.

Well, it was a conspiracy theory because Joe Biden was so healthy and so, you know, he doesn't even need Viagra.

He's having sex all the time.

He's just so, so alert.

No, he's not.

He didn't even, he even said something to that effect, didn't he?

He even

sort of referred to that idea that it was like his sex life was super active still

to show his virility.

Not sure how that's been going the last few days, but good luck for it, Joe.

There's got to be somebody that can put him on the back of a horse with his shirt off just to show his virility like Putin did.

But,

you know,

he's not running the country.

And that's the reason why Kamala Harris was selected, because she can't run the country either.

And we know this now.

You notice the administration hasn't missed a beat.

They just keep going.

They're doing what they're doing.

He doesn't know.

He's not making the decisions.

The question is, who is?

Who is?

If the president of the United States is having seepy-seeps starting at, you know, waking up at 11 o'clock in the morning, having a meeting, and then going to bed at 4, who's running the country?

My gosh.

Yeah, and Glenn, you should point out

those preparations, which took place over six days for the debate, never started before 11 a.m.

And Mr.

Biden was given a time for an afternoon nap each day.

This is according to the New York Times.

The only example they could come up with when they were pressed for examples where he's really, really on top of things was him screwing over Israel.

Which is when they were in the middle of all these missiles being fired at them, he was on his game to tell Netanyahu, no, you're not allowed to fire back.

That's the only thing they could come up with.

Now, of course, we have no evidence that that's true, but the fact that he was inspired to be awake by screwing Jews over isn't necessarily something that gives you more confidence.

You know, Jake Tapper, did you hear Jake Tapper yesterday?

Jake Tapper accused the Democratic Party of engaging in Orwellian tactics.

At the opening of the show, Tapper called out the Democratic Party for engaging in a discernible pattern of lying to the public.

He argued party officials want Americans to not believe what you saw and what you heard with your eyes and your own ears last Thursday night.

He said, quote, the party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears.

It was their final, most essential command, end quote.

You know where that comes from?

George Orwell's 1984.

So, and that is true.

But it's not just on this.

America needs to wake up.

It's not just on this.

Boeing Starliner capsule is performing well on its first ever astronaut mission.

In fact, it will likely be able to stay in orbit beyond the initially envisioned 45-day limit.

Now wait a minute.

Now wait a minute.

It's performing so well

that it's going to stay up there, you know, for a while.

It may be up there for a long while.

And we might leave it up there and then we'll return those astronauts home on some other vehicle that is not as good as the Boeing Starliner.

The Starliner, they still haven't figured out why the jets weren't working, why the, you know, the positioning jets around the side, like 28 of them just didn't work.

They can't figure out why.

Plus, it was leaking helium.

I don't know if they were having birthday parties up there or why they had helium, but it was leaking helium.

And now they're trying to convince us that it's, it's, no, it's, no, no, no.

It is so good, it can stay longer than the 45 days.

Yeah, that's right.

Probably because the astronauts are like, I'm not getting into that death trap.

I'm not getting back into that thing.

But deny what you know.

Deny what your eyes tell you.

Deny what your ears tell you.

Deny what you know.

That is the problem.

Now, Biden said he fell asleep on the stage.

He fell asleep on the when did you fall asleep on the stage

and so now they're gonna fix it because yesterday

apparently hunter biden is joining joe biden

for all of his meetings now

Well, I mean, the only explanation for that is, yeah, hey, dad, do you need a bump?

I can, you know, you need to wake wake up.

Yeah, I got something here for you.

That's the only explanation.

The people in the meetings are saying, we're confused.

We didn't have any idea why Hunter Biden is now in the meetings and taking notes and discussing things and like taking the lead for dad.

What are you?

I don't know.

I don't think.

Look,

there's a lot on the line here, and I don't know that I would recommend this course of action, but he's got this interview coming up with Stephanopoulos.

Do you consider a bump before it?

Do you just give it a whirl?

I mean, we know regular Joe Biden doesn't work.

What if, you know, I mean,

what could possibly go wrong?

I don't think it could be worse than Thursday night.

I think maybe you give the guy a little bit of juice and see what happens.

I mean, you know, it might be a fun story.

A non-named fun story.

An unnamed source from the White House said Hunter Biden popped into a couple of meetings and phone calls with the president that he had with some of his advisors.

Another person familiar with the matter said the reaction from some senior White House staff members has been, what the hell is happening?

Yes, now you know how the rest of us feel.

What the hell is happening?

Hunter came back with the president from the family weekend at Camp David and went with the president straight into a speech prep.

Hunter's presence in and around his father's meeting comes amid questions about whether Joe Biden should continue his election campaign.

Good Lord, I'm

oh yeah, I didn't put that.

What is happening?

25 House Democrats are preparing to ask Biden to withdraw now.

Jeez.

Can't let the yeah, you gotta stop this bleeding somehow if you're Biden, right?

You have to figure out a way to shut these people up.

get them through the next couple weeks.

Let me at least get to this Friday interview.

You'll see how good it's going to be.

You've got to just delay, delay, delay if you're Biden right now.

I don't even know if he can do it.

I mean, the momentum seems to make it impossible right now.

He's, he's,

he's toasted.

He's got to, he's toasted.

If he fails this

Friday George Stephanopoulos interview, if he screws up at all, if he zones out, if he can't express himself, if he doesn't look

vital and invigorated, he's done.

He's done.

And we're going to learn so much about this because I mean, you look, the New York Times is all in on him

being gone.

Every single story is not only like all these people are saying behind the scenes he's terrible.

He can't speak.

He can't get through meetings.

Here's another anecdote.

Here's another unnamed official.

Here's over and over and over again.

And then how can he be replaced?

How would this work?

Every story is about this, Glenn.

And I've never seen anything like it because we all know what the New York Times could do and normally does in this situation.

Lie.

Oh, yeah.

They don't report these anecdotes.

They don't tell you what these people are saying behind the scenes.

They form the opinion they want you to have.

And that is what they're doing again here.

And Stephanopoulos's approach in this interview is going to be fascinating to watch because obviously he can help take him out.

If he presses him, if he goes after him, If he really makes this as uncomfortable as possible, he could end the campaign.

Or will will he do the old school thing, which they've been doing for as long as I've known every Democratic media forever, and just like soft pedal it, let, you know, when he has a bad moment, step in, cut him off, help him.

What do you think happens?

The press is being used by somebody.

I don't know who is in charge of anything anymore, but the press now is

spreading the narrative that it's over.

He's got to go.

Everybody.

He's got to go.

So we'll see.

Does the press get their way?

And when did they decide?

You know, they decided that he was fine up until last Thursday and that all of us were liars and, you know, misinforming and using disinformation and Russia, Russia, Russia to

mislead the nation in thinking he was incompetent.

Then he went from

he's Superman to good heavens, we got to get him out of there overnight.

And now they're rushing and saying, he's got to go, he's got to go, he's got to go.

I would like to know what the plan is.

I mean, we're talking about all of our future here.

What is your plan?

You know,

they're now talking about maybe we do

a mini primary and we kind of do it like speed dating.

Yeah.

What?

That's not speed date for the leader of the free world.

Speed date.

It's interesting.

I mean, it does, to me, feel like the Kamala thing is the most likely thing.

I mean, there's a lot of intricate logistical reasons for that, mostly revolving around money that make that so.

But still, it's like, you know, if they try to go down this road and

turn this into some big spectacle, I don't think that's necessarily going to help them.

And you see a lot of these people who are leaking against Biden are saying wonderful things about Kamala.

Now, some might speculate, as we have said since the very beginning,

there's no way this four-year presidency ends without Kamala Harris taking a shot at winning this.

She is the most ambitious, selfish person in Washington, D.C.

And she, I guarantee right now, her people are all leaking against Biden to make this thing happen.

Of course they are.

Of course they are.

And you know what's weird is

so far there's not a big push for her.

Only Clyburn.

Only Clyburn is really jumping on the Kamala

train.

Yeah.

Everybody else is kind of quiet about it.

Yeah, that's enormous.

He's the guy who got Biden to pick her.

Yep, and he's the guy who got Biden elected.

I mean, remember, Biden was losing in South Carolina.

That endorsement is what turned around the primary in 2020.

So that is a huge part of this.

So let me ask you this, Glenn.

And maybe you can answer this after the break, but

This is how committed they are to this.

You know, and he's going to call me a Putin apologist and everything else, because if you disagree with him on Ukraine, you're a Putin apologist.

I was thinking about my approach with this, and I think I'm just going to say, first of all, you know, we're never going to agree.

So

why are you doing this?

But the second thing is, Piers, you've never understood America.

Never.

You conflate American conservatives with the far right in France, and they're completely different.

And what you don't understand is that America has fundamentally changed.

Conservatives have fundamentally changed.

We don't trust the government.

And this time we have a list of things to show us, no,

I don't trust the government.

So when it comes to Ukraine, when it comes to, you know, who's president, who's running the country, I have no idea.

I have no idea.

And all possibilities are out on the table because we're seeing things that we've never seen before.

I would just say it's time for people to take responsibility of their own actions and their own life right now because I don't trust anyone in power.

welcome to the glenbeck program you know i talked to you a little bit about uh the story in the new york times yesterday the first amendment is out of control Tomorrow is Independence Day, and we should all review what freedom of speech is really meant for and what it is.

Now, it was written by a guy named Wu.

He's a law professor at Columbia, and he writes about tech and everything else.

And he says, First Amendment was a tool that helped the underdog, but sometimes in this

century, the judiciary lost the plot.

Judges have transmuted a constitutional provision meant to protect the unpopular opinion into an all-purpose tool of legislative nullification that now mostly protects corporate interests.

So he's making the case that we've turned it upside down.

And I have to tell you, he makes

a persuasive case here, but he is wrong in the end.

Let me just skip to

this.

He's talking about regulation of the internet.

Such regulation is not always perfect, to be sure, but it represents a legitimate tool which democratic governments can stand up to private power.

The next phase in this struggle will presumably concern the regulation of artificial intelligence.

I fear the First Amendment will be extended

to protect machine speech at considerable human cost.

I 100% agree with that.

It's something I've been warning about for about three decades.

In our era, the power of private actors has grown to rival that of nation states, true again.

Most powerful are the big tech platforms, true again, which in their cocoon-like encompassing of humanity has grown to control commerce and speech in ways that would make totalitarian states jealous.

Correct again.

In a democracy, in a republic, the people ought to have the right to react and control such private power as long as it does not trample on the rights of the individual.

Again,

correct.

But thanks to the Supreme Court, the First Amendment has become a barrier to the government's ability to do that.

Free speech rights have been hijacked to suppress the sovereignty of humans in favor of the power and companies and machines.

Okay, so wait.

But no, there's a difference between individuals and the government and regulations and suggestions.

You want to regulate.

Okay, regulate.

And let's have that not go through the administrative state.

Let's have that go through Congress.

Let's have that debate, a serious debate about it.

We can do that.

And I think the right of the individual is what will win in that if we don't have some closed-door, you know, Google writing the bill, but actual debate the way Congress is supposed to work.

Then I think free speech will win because it's a strong argument for the people.

But what the Supreme Court was talking about was: well, now, wait a minute.

I think the government,

you know, maybe, maybe we send it down to the lower court and have them re-examine this because

should the government be able to just say, hey, you really need to, you need to silence these people.

No, the government should never have that power, ever, ever, ever.

Freedom of speech is the cornerstone.

It is why it is the First Amendment.

Freedom of speech, freedom of press, the way that the people can stand up against the government.

They can stand up against the government.

They can question our government.

They can demand answers from our government.

They have a press that should be completely separate from the government to stand guard against the government.

Remember, this whole document was made to stop a government from becoming

tyrannical.

So, if you're afraid of, you know, Trump or Biden becoming a tyrant, your answer, the only answer should be return to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The freedom of speech thing is so important.

Again, it was the first, but what it means is you can speak your mind without fear of censorship.

or persecution.

Now, that doesn't make you popular,

but it does mean that the government and those powerful institutions can do nothing against you to stop you.

Would you like it if a church all of a sudden was in charge and said,

you can't say these things?

I mean, how many people on the left believe in burning the flag?

You have a right to do that.

Okay, so why did the kid, oh gosh, where was it?

In Oregon?

The kid that, you know, burned rubber on the pride flag that was painted on the road, he was just charged with a felony.

A felony.

What is that other than a religion

or

a government saying, this is what we stand for, and you will not tarnish it?

Excuse me?

I don't want that happening through a church.

I don't want that happening through the government.

I would like people to self-regulate.

But things like peeling out on the pride flag, that happens sometimes, not because of homophobia.

Sometimes it is homophobia.

Other times it is just, you know what?

I'm a rebel.

You are telling me and jamming this down my throat.

No.

And it's their only way for freedom of speech.

That's the case that is made for burning the flag.

Why is it different on the pride flag?

See, we have a,

if we didn't have freedom of speech we wouldn't understand

anything

because the things that were said at some point or another that have made progress and pushed us into new areas have always seemed crazy or dangerous

But they move us forward.

Well, I'm not talking about speech that moves us forward, makes progress.

I mean the speech that's dangerous.

Oh, really?

Because that's what every authoritarian and autocratic and theocratic dictator has always said.

The problem is, who's in charge of judging what's dangerous and not?

The church?

The government?

Academia?

Some other group or organization that would have the power to silence people?

Remember, the only speech that needs protecting is the speech that either the majority doesn't like or power doesn't like.

You know, the world was flat for a very long time.

And for centuries, that was the accepted view.

And challenging it was seen as heresy.

And then thinkers like Pythagoras and later during the age of exploration, Ferdinand Magellan and Christopher Columbus dared to propose and demonstrate otherwise.

It was their courage to speak out and to explore beyond the known boundaries that led to an understanding of what the earth really was.

Now, the power didn't want it.

The church didn't want that.

Church would prosecute anybody and persecute anybody.

You know how they got

King Ferdinand to do it?

Gold.

I'm telling you, there's lots of gold.

And, you know, what happens if he's wrong?

He falls off the edge of the earth.

Big deal.

The idea that the sun revolves around the earth, or is it the earth revolves around the sun, that faced significant resistance Copernicus and Galileo pioneers revolutionary idea went against the power of the time in 1633 the Catholic Church which was the power tried Galileo during the Inquisition and

forced him to recant under threat of torture

okay who's deciding what free speech is good what's progress what's not it's easy to see them in reverse.

You know what Socrates was killed for?

He was killed by the government.

He went through a fair trial.

You know, he's killed for

because he was corrupting the youth of

Athens

because he encouraged questioning the established norms and beliefs.

Anybody who ever says, Don't, you can't question that, don't question that,

you should run from.

Socrates was corrupting the youth because he said, question

everything.

Giordano Bruno, I think it was his name.

He's the guy who said there's infinite suns and infinite worlds.

He was burned at the stake in the Inquisition of 1600.

Martin Luther, as well as Martin Luther King.

How about Thomas Edison and Nikolai Tesla?

The War of currents.

This was all about power, literally and figuratively, power and money.

Here's Thomas Edison, who is using the system to stifle innovation.

Edison wants direct current.

Because he was losing that battle because it didn't make sense and it wasn't working.

He had to discredit Tesla.

And through he did it through smear campaigns and propaganda.

He had public demonstrations where he got this sick doctor to go and electrocute animals using Tesla's alternating current.

He would take down horses, dogs, whatever you had.

He'd go to a state fair or a local fair and he'd execute the animals and saying, that's what Tesla wants to put in your house.

Thank God we weren't afraid of the scare tactics because that's what we all have in our house today, or at least we will for a while until they come up with something even better that you're not allowed to question.

If you can't challenge prevailing wisdom, if you can't propose a new idea, if you can't say, wait a minute, this doesn't make any sense,

everything stops.

Progress depends on the free exchange of ideas.

And if you get rid of your opposition,

life falls apart.

It's when they rub together, when they strike against each other, that's when a spark is made, and that's when things change.

We're down to, okay, you can't lose freedom of speech.

You can't lose your protection against your own civil rights.

We're down to the big ones.

It's the fundamental rights that are first expressed in our Declaration of Independence, something that was signed and agreed upon on July 2nd, finally announced to the American people on July 4th,

that we should be concentrating on.

All right, so yesterday in New York, Donald Trump filed

to stop the madness

because of the new Supreme Court ruling and wanted a review.

This has now been delayed until September.

But again, I think they know it's not going anywhere.

They're just going to use it now in September to

lay out all the evidence again right before an election, which would be, again, election interference, in my opinion.

But

that's the way they do it today.

Andrew Bailey is with us.

He is the Missouri Attorney General.

He was on just a couple of weeks ago, and he said he was planning on suing New York in response to the unconstitutional lawfare against Trump,

breaking news here on the program with Attorney General Bailey on what the next steps are.

Attorney General Bailey, welcome.

Thank you for having me.

Yeah, thank you for having me on.

And as always, your analysis is spot on.

There's a rogue prosecutor and a collusive judiciary in the state of New York who are absolutely looking to upend the national presidential election.

And they're using lawfare to do it.

This is poisonous to our Democratic Republic and our Democratic processes.

I can't let the state of New York sideline sideline Missourians who want to hear from, engage with, and participate in an actual presidential election for their chosen presidential candidate.

And think about this.

By statute, Missouri has electors that go to a convention who need access to a presidential candidate.

They have a job to do under the statutes of the state of Missouri, and they're being denied access to a presidential candidate because of the gag order and the lawfare illicit witch hunt prosecution against President Trump.

The founders contemplated there would be disputes amongst the states, and they codified a method to redress those grievances.

Article 3, Section 2 of the United States Constitution sends that case directly to the United States Supreme Court.

And I'm proud to report here on your program that we are on file at the Supreme Court.

It's going to be Missouri versus New York to stop the law fare.

So what happened?

Because aren't they like, aren't they like, I don't know, flying in rich people's airplanes now, illegally and unconstitutionally, of course.

How does this happen during the summer?

Well, you're absolutely right.

Their docket has ended.

Their term has ended.

But there's a special docket.

It's called the original action docket for cases where the Supreme Court has original jurisdiction based on the United States Constitution, based on the plain text of the Constitution.

So there's a special docket.

So the justices will be notified.

You know, there's a process that they go through where

the clerks have to print all of the

multitude of documents, distribute them to the different justices.

It has to be placed on the OAD docket or the original action docket.

And then there will presumably be a period where the court will order responsive briefing from the state of New York and the case will proceed accordingly.

But, you know, I think that there's been a major shift in the conversation on this issue because of the immunity decision coming down and the extension of time on the Trump sentencing.

But I think you're also exactly right.

Look, pushing this sentencing to September is actually very dangerous because it means that the honors conditions of confinement, probation, house arrest, community service, whatever that looks like after the sentencing are going to happen even closer in time to the election.

And either way, the gag order will remain in place between now and then.

Again, that harms Missourians' rights to hear from a presidential candidate.

That's why this case is so important, why we had to get it on file and continue to push it forward to redress the grievances of the people of the state of Missouri.

So two questions.

First of all, when do you expect to hear from the Supreme Court?

When could they rule on this?

Well, my hope would be that they would demand a briefing from the state of New York as early as next week.

Presumably, briefing would then appear from New York in the middle of July, and we would have a chance to respond to that briefing.

And then if I'm the court, I'm going to wait until September and see what happens at sentencing.

In other words, if the judge says we're lifting, if the trial court judge in New York says we're lifting the gag order and President Trump's on bench probation, this offense was not a big deal, and there are no conditions of probation.

Well, it's hard to explain that there's harm at that point.

Now, I don't think that's going to happen.

I think that you can look at the constitutional violations that are replete throughout this process and realize they want nothing more than to send President Trump to prison on the eve of an election.

That's why we've got to keep this case going and fight so hard to prevent them from interfering in the election.

And shame on the media.

Shame on the media for legitimizing this law,

for legitimizing this injection of this poison into our democratic process.

So,

Andrew, you have any other states joining you on this?

At the present time, Missouri went it alone because speed was of the essence.

We had to get this on file.

Now, I do anticipate that other states will have the opportunity to file amicus briefs in support.

But look, at the end of the day, this is about, I represent the state of Missouri, and I represent the people in the state of Missouri who want to participate in a national election or being denied the right to do so.

But I do think that it is incumbent upon every state attorney general to determine how the lawfare

and this attack on the national election is negatively impacting their people and to find appropriate remedies.

The typical criminal appeal takes 18 to 24 months, and it really only redresses an individual criminal defendant's grievance.

That process is inadequate at this time to protect the people of the state of Missouri and anyone who wants to engage in the presidential election nationwide.

What did you think about the judge

pushing it out

into mid-September and then saying, apparently,

if it is even relevant at that time,

what does that mean?

I have no idea.

I'm concerned.

I mean, clearly, the judiciary, this judge is working in collusion with Alvin Bragg, who should have been disqualified from the case in the first instance.

The judge should have never presided over the case, and the prosecutor should never have been allowed to bring these charges.

But those systems clearly failed.

And that's my evidence that I think we have every reason to infer that they are hell-bent on sending President Trump to prison on the eve of an election.

So again, this delay actually puts us closer in time to

when we would be going to the ballot box.

And there's a doctrine in the law.

It's called the Purcell Doctrine that essentially the judiciary should not be making decisions on the eve of an election that could inject confusion into the election.

I mean, voters are already asking the question.

Can Donald Trump appear on the ballot?

Will we be able to go vote for him?

Is he on the campaign trail?

What's going on?

This is all intended to dampen enthusiasm and drive down Republican votes.

That's a direct attack on our electoral process, and now it's going to go on at least into September.

Andrew, thank you so much.

I mean, again, this is we were talking about it.

This is alcoholic behavior what the Democrats are doing is alcoholic behavior They are grabbing onto the steering wheel and they're just saying no I'm gonna do it my way my way my way and they are forcing everything

their way they have made stuff up changed laws changed uh jurisdictions did everything they could to get Donald Trump and they waited until he announced.

They wouldn't have done it if he didn't announce that he was going to run for president.

So they waited.

And they were thinking to themselves, most likely, oh, this is going to be perfect.

It'll be in the running up of the election.

And it's just going to be so sweet and so great.

Well, it's not working.

And they just are keep hanging on.

The same thing with Joe Biden.

If they would have done the responsible thing, the right thing, a year ago and said, you know,

there's a lot of smoke about his confusion.

Let's just make sure that that's not happening for the good of the country, for the love of Pete.

And they would have listened to the American people and they would have said, Joe, you've got to do, because we have all these questions, you have to do either the primary or you have to do X number of interviews with tougher people, not people who are in the bag, with some tougher people.

And we have to see you perform and the American people need to see you perform.

If they would have done the right thing then, they wouldn't be in this situation.

But now the entire thing is in chaos.

And it's because they refuse to admit that they don't control everything.

It's the progressive Achilles heel.

You have to be so arrogant that you think your way is the only way and it's the right way and that you can control all of these different variables so it'll work out for you.

It never works out.

Yeah.

Yet again, centralized control fails, right?

It's this story of the past couple hundred years

really since communism came around.

We've seen this happen over and over and over and over and over again.

I

you know, you look at this and their new excuse is almost the most disturbing one, which was this is from media and democratic elected officials.

And basically, what they're saying to these reporters off the record is, we're angry at the aides around the president because they kept telling us he was fine.

And so we kept believing it and repeating it.

And now we look bad.

And it's like, I don't believe that.

Well, I don't know.

I think there's an aspect to it, at least, that's true, which is they.

I think they knew what was going on, but they kept taking these words and being like, well, let's, you know, this is the spin.

This is what we're supposed to be doing.

We're dutifully going to report it to everyone.

And now that it's fallen apart, they're sitting here blaming the AIDS, which again, it's on you.

If you're a journalist, you're the one that should have been asking these questions the whole time.

So I've been doing a lot of research on progressive doctors,

and especially those that influence those doctors in Germany and then those in Germany and what they said during the Nuremberg trials.

It's the same thing.

It's exactly the same thing.

Well, I didn't know.

It wasn't me.

I was told that this was fine, and I was told that that wasn't happening.

They all knew.

They all knew.

All of the doctors knew.

They participated in it.

They couldn't be a doctor if you wouldn't participate in it.

So they chose that they wanted their lifestyle and their, you know, their position, and they chose to deny what they knew to be true, that killing people is killing people.

It's not compassion.

It's killing people.

And in the end, they all tried to blame somebody else, but they all knew.

There's no way you rode on that airplane with him.

There's no way you were walking the halls of the White House.

There's no way none of these people had a really well-placed source inside the White House that wasn't saying, geez, man.

This is getting insane.

This is getting insane.

There's no one,

no one

that spoke to a member of the press.

The deal was they didn't want to hear it.

They didn't want to see it.

And now they're blaming it on others.

You're just as guilty as those who stood.

We could see it.

The American people said

the Democratic voters said, he's too old.

He's too old.

It wasn't ageism.

They were watching him decay

overnight, every night.

you didn't want to see it.

Yeah, and they kept that in play until the very, very end until they couldn't do it anymore.

I mean, Glenn, one week apart was this call now for him to step down because he's obviously too old and the controversy over cheap fakes.

That was one

week before this started.

A week.

Yes.

A week ago, they were telling us these were all faked videos to make him look like he was incoherent.

And who

believed that?

Who believed that?

Only the diehards that had to have it to be true.

You cannot force your will on everybody else.

You cannot control reality.

You can't.

It eventually all comes crumbling down.

You're an alcoholic.

You're addicted to power.

You're addicted to lies.

I don't know what it is.

But you've got to surrender to the truth or you're going going to burn the whole damn thing down.

And I got news for you.

I'm a recovering alcoholic from an alcoholic family.

I've learned these lessons, and I'm not going to be around you when you're burning the whole place down.

You're not burning my place down.

You're not going to do it.

And that's what Americans need to say.

Only the alcoholic can stop the alcoholic behavior.

We can point it out, we can wish them well, but we are not going to allow them to burn down our house

because

they're living in another reality.

No,

no.

You can destroy yourself.

You won't destroy me.

In an emergency situation, you got to think fast.

And usually there isn't time to weigh your options out carefully.

That's why

if

you're a responsible gun owner, and I know everybody in this audience is,

you have already weighed them out way in advance.

You know where you stand.

You know what you're willing to do.

You probably don't want to use deadly force unless you absolutely have to.

So

how did you find the story for this church?

Well, my wife and I had adopted, and she was working very much in that space in Los Angeles.

And so she ran across the story and met.

Bishop Martin.

And long story short, we just felt like this story had to be told in a movie if possible.

And so we just began that journey, especially after hearing the kids' stories.

You know, it just, it wrecked me.

Horrible.

And I felt like, you know, it's a tough one to get on the screen with all the characters, but we just dug in and felt like it needed to be done.

I tell you, I have several friends who grew up in the foster care system, and their stories are just nightmares.

I mean, it's not Chucheskow, but it's really a horrible system that we have many, many times.

And

just in seeing the way you portray some of the trauma from these kids and the things that the families had to deal with, I mean,

it wasn't, it's not all rosy.

I mean, it was, it's hard work to take kids who have been beaten and abused in a foster care system and bring them into your home.

That's right.

I mean, so these kids in particular, all kids go through extreme trauma just by losing their family and anything related to that.

It's just powerfully hurtful.

But these kids, the 77, you know, these were the ones that were difficult to place.

So that was kids who were heavily traumatized physically or sexually abused.

Sibling sets, you know, they hate to break up sets of kids, which is fantastic.

They try to keep them together, but it's really hard to place a lot of the time because of that.

Yes, I know.

Or teenagers, you know, we kind of have If people want to do this, it's often like the younger ones.

They're less scary, I guess.

You know, it feels like there won't be be as much to deal with.

But it is, they took on the ones that no one wanted, which is what really made this story stand out to me.

I felt like, you know, if they can do this, this little average community of people have the courage to just dive in when they saw this problem, then, you know, we can all do something.

How big is the town of Possum Trot?

Yeah.

Yeah, so it's not even an official town.

It's a region.

It's like an area, and they've just called it possumtrot for

years, which, as weird as that might be, people might be surprised to hear that Kansas City, when they're trying to think of a name for Kansas City, it was between Kansas City and Possum Trot.

So it must have been a big deal way back then.

I don't know.

Okay.

So it's not, I mean, how much,

how many

the population of Possum Trot compared to this church, which seems pretty small.

I mean, 77 kids.

Yeah.

How many people were involved in this?

The area probably has 300 or 400 people, and that's sprawling.

I mean, that's miles and miles of area considered possess and trot.

And so this community is more condensed, you know, in terms of the people who are involved, and the church itself, you know, probably has,

you know, now, I don't know, 75 members or something.

It's not a big, it's not a big church.

So, you know, they imagine that all those kids and what that did to just the number of people and and all of that the growth that happened so rapidly and then you've got kids that are struggling so it was a it was a big thing to take on

so what was the secret that you found at possum trot that we should all take away

well I think on a humanity sort of human level

we see problems all around us and so often just leave it to others to deal with especially the government something like this it's like well there's a foster system.

Surely they'll take care of it.

But

these are human children.

This is nothing that a government should be

primarily responsible in terms of raising the kids.

So I think we got to do follow the lead of this community on one level and just go, look, there's problems that we can solve.

We must solve them.

We don't get to leave them to others.

And if you're someone, this is about a Christian church.

So

that's a whole other layer of

responsibility and heart.

I mean, I think many of us in that place feel

probably even more compelled to meet the needs of these kids.

And then we have scriptures actually teaching us, you know, go, James 1.27, go and visit or take care of the needs of the orphans and widows.

Not just keep yourself pure and unspotted from the world, but there's this need to take action and do things in the name of Jesus and follow his footsteps.

So that's my feeling.

And then the community,

you know, we adopted two kids, like I said, and it was

it's difficult no matter what you do, but when you don't have a community around you, it's much, much harder.

And this community, that's the secret there.

Like they are family.

It's one big family, extended family, friends.

They all do life together.

And so these kids came into

a very strong community and structure that they know is always there for them.

They could always come back to and just embrace them.

Imagine that, just all of these different people, whether they adopted the children or not, there's just a lot of people around

to

become better

family.

So

I think our churches have become more theoretical.

And church has become a building and it's not meant to be a building.

You know, when they talk about it in the scriptures and they say the church, they don't mean the building.

They mean the people that are following.

And being a Christian, a true Christian, is really hard.

Not because it makes you unpopular, but because there's so much required to do

that most of us are just like, yeah, well, I'm going to, yeah, you know what?

I'm going to write a check.

I'm going to help out.

That's not what this is.

And this is truly about building community and doing the things you don't want to do, but

you're required to do.

And you're required to do it with joy.

And

sometimes that sucks.

You know?

Well, I mean, that is a powerful reality.

And I think what's so

interesting and honestly,

I think the silver lining in that is that as you are called into these hard things,

and I'm just talking about Christians, I think humans, you know, we have a conscience, but you've got people saying they're following Jesus in particular, and they ought to do the things that Jesus did and follow where he goes.

And he's always going to the broken things, and we were all broken, right?

So it's...

There is that part of it that kind of sounds like, geez, do I really have to do this?

Can't I just be an American with a white picket fence?

And the answer, of course, is no.

But what happens, and in my experience, is once you step into it, I mean, you have everything you need.

I think we hear this word grace a lot, and I think that's a big part of what we mean by it, is that God is going to meet you with what you need when you step in.

Maybe not even before.

You might have to step into it first.

And then all of a sudden, you're full of everything you need.

And it's a struggle.

But I mean,

the things that disturb us the most

in this world,

I feel a responsibility as a Christian to do what I can to resolve them.

That's what it means to be light and salt, and all these things we're metaphorically, you know, just talked about as.

And I think that's something that's missing right now.

In America, it's beautiful.

We have incredible blessings.

Thank God for them.

The world has been blessed by America more than anything else.

You know what I mean?

But at the same time, it can lull you to sleep.

It can numb you.

It can make you put off discomfort that you ought to bear.

And so we made this movie to highlight that, that a community actually stepped in and did hard stuff, like we all should do.

And they were met with what they needed.

And then, you know, we could talk about the movie too, though.

It's a movie.

It's not just a

pill, a pill to swallow.

Yeah.

So

let me just spend one minute just on that.

We, I'm sure you remember, Josh, when

Christian films were just the worst.

They were the worst.

And we have made

such incredible progress at such a fast, rapid rate.

And the industry is changing.

And you can now tell your friends who aren't necessarily Christian, you got to go see this movie.

And it's not a preacher, you know, it's not a preachy kind of, I want to convert you and get you baptized.

It's a good movie first.

What's changed?

How much has this changed to get us from where we were just a few years ago to here?

Yeah.

Oh, there's a lot, I think.

I mean, I can mostly speak from my perspective.

You know, I think it first starts with just refusing to do things that aren't

that you can't do well.

You know, and I think you have to expect a certain level of

ability and excellence and skill.

And you also have to know and understand the art form so that you don't misuse it.

It's been so used as a tool to preach and spread messages rather than you know, let it be what it is and and bring all the great things to it as a movie so that people actually enjoy a movie.

And that's for this one, I insisted on that.

It's just how we work.

It's like if we're gonna go and make a movie, then it ought to be all of the great things that we want and love and bring us into those theaters and keep bringing us back.

So I think

it's critical.

I mean, if you like Christian movies, I think you'll like this movie.

It's got a ton of Jesus and all the rest.

But

I don't even really look at it as a Christian movie.

It's so based on the real world.

Authenticity was a big

discussion throughout.

Like, we have got to capture the real story, these kids,

what they lived through, what these families dealt with.

So the acting, it's like there's so much that's worked, that's come together that has imbued it with this powerful authenticity.

And what we're seeing is dramatic results.

I mean, people are so moved.

And as a creator,

it's the best thing you can hear, but just in all kinds of different ways.

You know, kids who've gone through it, who've grown up, are now experiencing the movie and having a powerful emotional experience.

And just go down the line.

So

it's something I think you will really love the experience of the movie.

We're not saying, hey, please help us out.

Go see our movie.

No.

Swallow this bitter pill.

It's like, no,

it's a good movie.

It's something to say.

It's a good movie.

It's something to say, but you're going to enjoy it.

And

it's one of those movies you walk away feeling better.

I love movies where you can walk away from it and say,

wow, I just feel so good.

That was such a great experience, you know,

and you've captured that.

It's a breaking news once again from the New York Times, who, I kid you not, is literally all in on making sure Joe Biden does not have this nomination anymore past this weekend.

But they report that a key Biden told a key ally that he is weighing whether to continue in the race.

The president's conversation is the first indication that he is seriously considering whether he can recover after a devastating performance on the debate stage in Atlanta on Thursday.

Goes on to talk about whether he knows he has to nail these three appearances he has coming up, a couple of campaign rallies, but then also this George Stephanopoulos ABC News interview.

It's going to be a great holiday, but an incredibly fascinating weekend.

We're going to take you through a few things that

I think we should concentrate on and some really good things about America.

One of them is how so many people are coming together.

There's an update on Joe Biden we're going to give to you, just came out, breaking news.

But we're in an interesting place, to say the least.

What happens from here?

It depends on what we do.

And we'll talk about that in 60 seconds.

So if President Biden has agreed to do a sit-down with George Stephanopoulos on Friday,

and yet they are still pushing him to

step down so they can find another nominee.

They've created a huge mess in their own party because they refuse to

recognize the obvious, that it's human to start to slip towards the end.

And I guess they can't wait until Friday, which says to me that he's in even more trouble than we've even seen.

Because if he wasn't, he could sit down with George Stephanopoulos and knock it out of the park and it would be over, I think.

But somebody, you know, very powerful people and a lot of Americans want him out of office now after the debate.

He has just ⁇ the White House has just made an announcement, which is ⁇

to be clear, it is a report from the New York Times that Biden told an ally that he is weighing whether to continue in the race.

This is the first indication from anywhere inside the Biden camp that this is going on.

Now, assuming the Times is telling the truth, which of course is something we definitely have to consider.

Yeah, and you have to, you know, if that would have come out two weeks ago, it would have been a different story.

Yep.

But now the New York Times is on the exact opposite foot.

They want to.

And they are doing everything they can to get him out.

So I don't know.

if I believe that or not.

I don't know.

Because if this is actually an ally, then you would assume this is messaging approved essentially from the White House.

Correct.

Right.

Correct.

It does give essentially Biden an out here.

He's got an interview scheduled with Stephanopoulos, as you point out, on Friday, and two campaign stops, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Those must go well is essentially the standard they've set for themselves here, which is just really legitimately incredible.

To the extent that now we have a...

We went through a nomination process.

Joe Biden won that nomination process.

He has participated as the nominee during a presidential debate.

This has already occurred.

Right now, the favorite to be the Democratic nominee on betting markets is Kamala Harris.

She has a 50% chance.

I think that's the only thing they can do.

Joe Biden at 29%.

He has a 29% chance to be the nominee of the party whose primary he's already won.

I mean, the fact that...

I'm not going to get around this.

They're talking now about literally speed dating

election.

Speed dating a primary.

Oh, that's unbelievable.

Yeah.

Okay.

All right.

We'll give you more.

Go ahead.

I was just, I was going to say, like, Donald Trump strategically has been really, really good at essentially stepping back and letting all this unfold, right?

Like, he's been doing a little truth social stuff, but he has not gotten in the way.

He's let all this go.

I'm starting to wonder whether he should start to get in the way.

Like, I think maybe he should release the vice presidential pick today to distract people from this.

You want to keep Biden winning this race.

I know.

I think he should just come out and say, the one thing that would really make me a dictator is Kamala Harris.

She would do it.

Anybody other than Joe Biden, I just want to be a dictator.

I think he should be like, you know what?

My vice presidential, I'm considering Stormy Daniels.

I wouldn't have necessarily thought of the whatever you can to derail this right now.

Or he's going to have to face someone who can.

Yeah, I'm so torn on this because politically, the right thing is to keep Joe Biden in for the Republicans, but for the country,

this is a horrible situation.

He can't step down just from being the candidate.

I mean, he really should step down, and it would probably be the best thing for Kamala because then she would just be the incumbent president.

Can you believe the insanity that and people are just going on there with their life?

Like, you know,

what's the problem?

No, I'm just worried about getting some hot dogs for tomorrow.

You know, it's rough days ahead.

It's a crazy, crazy time.

And I appreciate you having me on because, you know, it's, I think what, what, you know, we've been friends for

a bunch of years now, and I'm incredibly and kind of unlikely friends, right?

Yeah, I know, I know.

You did,

Did you do a segment a couple weeks ago about Teddy Roosevelt's man in the arena?

Oh, yeah.

I think.

Yeah, yeah.

Yeah.

I don't know.

I've been thinking about that.

You know, it's,

I feel like together we've been kind of, you know, daring greatly.

Yes.

Well, we both, I don't even know your politics, and I don't need to, Dave, but we both agree on American principles, and we both know our country is in trouble, and we both have faith that the American people, if they can get past the politics, will see reason and see each other again and we save our country.

Yeah.

I mean, that, that, look, we both have, exactly.

We, we love our country like beyond in ways that we can't even express with words.

And, you know, we've both been fortunate enough to have a front row seat on who we are as Americans.

And we know that,

you know, there's two ways this can go.

We can see each other again, or we can, you know, or, you know, we're going to leave a country that we don't want to leave for our kids and our grandkids.

And it will be one of the greatest tragedies in the history of the world.

And this is a moment, you know, even in the last 60 seconds, we're in a moment, you know, and it's time, it's time to say enough, and it's time to, you know, it's time to stand up.

And as you said, yeah, we so you were, you know, when this idea of take of one small step, which is

people, Americans, everyday Americans from across the political divides, saying enough, talking to each other, getting to know each other as human beings, not talking about politics, and seeing that we have so much more in common than divides us that it's hard to hate up close.

I came to you and this was kind of a twinkle in our eye.

And the Glenn Beck Show has been with us the whole time.

We launched, you know, we've tested this for years.

We launched locally a bunch of years ago.

We've had thousands of get Glenn Beck listeners participate.

And this is the first call that I've had.

We're going to announce this on Monday to the rest of the country.

You actually participated in

Tell me your experience.

I participated twice.

The first time I was with a left-leaning mom from Brooklyn who actually works for StoryCorps.

And the second time, I was with an older gentleman who was afraid to talk to me because he's never voted in his life.

And, well, I work for Glenn Beck.

But what I found was...

Did he know that in anything?

He did.

I put it in my bio so we knew up front what was going on.

But what I found is that we weren't afraid of disagreeing with each other.

We were afraid of being misunderstood.

We were afraid of being misjudged.

And so as soon as we understood together that we were there to hear each other, then we could speak our minds without compromising, but also without fighting.

So,

but did you talk about politics?

We did.

We talked about my first discussion, we actually talked about abortion without ever ever losing our minds.

Oh my gosh.

Yes.

I was so blown away that we went there.

But StoryCorps encourages you to go there in a way that you're not trying to change each other's opinions, but you're trying to see where are you coming from?

Why do you believe what you believe?

And at the end of it, I realized, okay, you're not a monster.

And she realized I'm not a monster.

And that was my deepest fears.

I was afraid I'd go in and I would be judged for being a hater or a monster.

But the way they facilitated it, we had to listen to each other.

And that, that does, you said, Dave, you can't hate up close.

You really can't.

Yeah, I tell you, Dave, I mean, the reason why I've been with you on this project from the beginning is I've had hardcore communists who have come into my office before shaking.

They were so full of rage and anger towards me.

And I've sat there and I just listened to them and I tried to understand where they were coming from.

And by the end,

We've always walked away.

We don't necessarily agree with each other, but we've always walked away going,

he's not so bad.

You're not so bad.

And I'm sorry that, you know, that I've made you feel this way.

Or he was, I'm sorry that I

misunderstood.

He started the conversation with me.

I've heard about you.

I hear people meet you and then they like you.

Oh, it's not going to happen to me.

And it was an amazing meeting.

But if you just stay cool, you find the humanity

within each other.

Well, Michaela said it better than I ever could.

And, you know, you joke about Michaela's, you know, a young woman in her 20s.

You know, we have biases there also.

I mean, she's a great American.

Thank you, Dave.

Finally.

You get your due.

You've been waiting.

You know, what you get to, this is the core of the problem in the country.

And this is what, you know, Lincoln said, you know, we'll never be defeated from outside.

We can only be defeated from within.

The issue isn't that we argue with each other.

That's healthy.

What's happened in this country is we're living in a reality distortion field, and we can't see each other as human beings.

And when you can't see each other as human beings, that's what leads to the Holocaust.

That's what leads to Israel-Palestine.

We can't go there.

I mean,

we can either throw stones at each other or we can pick up stones and build a better country.

And we're at that inflection point, Glenn.

And your audience.

You know, I've always felt that media put to its highest use can be one of the greatest forces for good the world has ever seen.

That almost seems like a joke now, given what,

but it's true.

You know,

we can create a better country together, and this, there's, there's too much at stake.

We've got to see each other as human beings.

We've got to see each other as human beings again, or all of this, you know, what our parents, what our grandparents bled for and died for is going to be lost.

So, Dave, I know I've cut commercials for one small step that you air on different formats.

Are you getting conservatives?

About to be aired much more frequently.

Yes.

I mean, we are really, we are trying, we are going to need your audience to help spread the word.

Yes, we are getting thousands of conservatives to do this.

Okay.

But we need more.

We need millions.

We need millions of people to do this.

I think, Michaela, you said this on why we're afraid of

participating.

How did you explain it?

I explained it that conservative people have been rightly conditioned to believe that when somebody says a space is inclusive, they mean inclusive of everyone except for you.

But

as a young 20-something, as we said, one of the redeemable ones, though,

I've heard stories of an America where I have a Trump sign and my neighbor has a Biden sign, and we still go to backyard cookouts.

And if there's a big storm, we still take care of the elderly woman down the street.

And I'd love to see that America again.

And that's going to take also a special level of humility from us as conservatives that say, look, I know we haven't been welcomed in these spaces before, but we believe that we all are united as Americans still.

It's a special kind of bravery.

Yeah, and I think there's nothing.

And that's, you know, it's, but that's America.

That's, you know, it's the greatest generation.

We can be that again.

It is going to take bravery.

But, I mean, again, I don't even know I'm on the call because Mikaela is saying everything better better than I can.

But this is

exactly what it's all about.

We have to.

So, Dave,

I don't know how this is even a conversation, but now Joe Biden is the ⁇ not even the favorite to win his own nomination.

And they ran a poll with a bunch of different candidates to try to find out who would be the best challenger.

And for all the troubles that Joe Biden is having, The polls haven't really reflected it yet.

Even in this, like,

the only ⁇ he was better than all of the other options that were offered, including the big names like Gavin Newsome and Kamala Harris and all these other ones, with one exception.

I think he was down one point or tied

with Donald Trump, Joe Biden was.

And then Michelle Obama was up 11.

Tomorrow is Independence Day, and I would strongly urge you to read the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights to your kids this weekend.

Do it while you're sitting around in the yard or whatever.

And they're going to roll their eyes, and they're going to go,

do it.

Do it, do it, do it.

I'm having a family reunion next week, and I'm forcing, because it's at my place, so I can force this on it.

I can inflict it on my family.

I'm doing, around the campfire every night, I'm doing one history story, and I'm going to tell them the true history of the patriots and villains of America and what we really stand for.

And if they don't like it, tough.

I'm old now.

I can tell everybody, sit down, get off my lawn.

So let me just do this because I've always wanted to do it because I just think, Stu, you would agree with me.

This is a ratings bonanza.

Let me read to you the Declaration of Independence.

In Congress, July 4th, 1776, the unanimous declaration of the 13 United States of America.

When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another,

and then to assume among the powers of the earth the separate but equal station to which the laws of nature and nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to separation.

So in other words, we're going to break up.

And

we want you to understand why.

And here's why.

Because we

hold these truths to be self-evident.

That all men are created equal.

that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights.

And among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

The part that we should start to memorize is after this, that to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

That was unheard of.

That when any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it and to institute a new government laying its foundations on such principles and organizing its powers in such a form as to them shall seem most likely to affect their safety and happiness.

Thomas Jefferson really thought that it would only last maybe 20 or 30 years, and he thought there should be kind of a revolution every 30 years, every new generation.

They have to fight for it themselves.

You can't just rule from the grave.

And we've done that by fighting wars.

Now we don't know our own history.

We don't know what we're even fighting for.

And, you know, it has to be earned by every generation.

But prudence will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes.

And accordingly, all experience has shown that mankind is more disposed to suffer while the evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they're accustomed.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing the same object, invinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism.

Got it?

When there's a long train, you don't change it for little reasons, but when there's a long train and it shows abuse, abuse, abuse, and it all leads to one thing, despotism, totalitarianism, fascism, communism,

then it is their right, it is their duty to throw off such a government and provide new guards for their future security.

So you can't really throw this off and say, I want communism.

You can throw this government off if it's become a dictatorship, but you have to then replace it with a government that is best to secure those natural rights.

Such has been the patient

sufferance of the colonies, and such it's now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former system of government.

And the history of the present king of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries, all having direct object, the establishment of absolute tyranny over these states.

And to prove this, we state these facts to a candid world.

They go into a lot of things.

These are called the usurptations, and I just want to touch on them just a little bit, but you should read them all because some of them are really very close to what is happening now.

You know, he's forbidden his governors to pass certain laws.

He has closed down legislatures.

He has forced judges to rule his way.

In some areas, he's just said, nope, we're not arresting anybody.

We're not trying anybody.

Sound familiar.

He is preventing immigration with some people, and he is promoting immigration and encouraging immigration from other people.

He has

suffered the administration of justice totally to cease in some of the colonies.

He's made our judges dependent on his will.

He's erected a multitude of new offices by a self-desumed power.

That would be the deep state.

He has kept among us in times of peace armies and ships.

He's combined with others to subject us to jurisdiction foreign to our Constitution, giving his assent to their pretended acts of legislation, for protecting them with mock trials from punishment or any murders that they should commit.

So in other words, there's no equal justice.

There's justice for some and not justice for others.

And then he gets, this is in the first draft

because this had to be voted on.

And of all of these usurpations, there's, you know, he's incited treasonable insurrections in our fellow subjects with the allurements of forfeiture or confiscation of our property.

I mean, hasn't that happened with BLM in a way, really?

And then he gets gets down to this, and this is in Thomas Jefferson's own handwriting.

He has waged cruel war against human nature itself, violating its most sacred rights of life and liberty in the persons of a distant people who never offended him, captivating and carrying them

into slavery in another hemisphere or to incur miserable death in their transportation.

This piratical warfare, the opprobrium of infidel powers, is the warfare of the Christian king of Great Britain.

He's determined to keep an open market where capitalized men should be bought and sold.

He has prostituted his negative for suppressing every legislative attempt to prohibit or restrain this commerce.

And that this assemblage of horrors might want no fact of distinguished die, he is now exciting those slaves, those very people, to rise in

arms against us and to purchase their liberty of which he has deprived them and murdering the people on which he also obtruded them thus paying off former crimes committed against the liberties of one people with crimes in which he urges them to commit against the lives of others

there were only two colonies that voted against that that's why it's not in the final it was south carolina where the civil war started and georgia In every state of these oppressions, we have petitioned for redress in the most humble terms, and our repeated petitions have been answered by repeated injury.

A prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrant is unfit to be the ruler of a people who mean to be free.

Future ages will scarce believe that the hardiness of one man had ventured within the short compass of twelve years only on so many acts of tyranny without a mask over a people fostered and fixed in the principles of liberty.

In every stage of these oppressions we have petitioned.

Nor have we been wanting in attentions to our British brethren.

We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us.

We have reminded them of the circumstances of our immigration and settlement here.

We've appealed to their native justice.

We have

and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence.

But they have been deaf to the voice of justice.

We must therefore acquiesce in the necessity which denounces our separation and hold them as we hold the rest of mankind enemies in war, in peace, friends.

We, therefore, the representatives of the United States of America and General Congress assembled, appealing to the supreme judge of the world for the resitude of our intentions, do, in the name and by the authority of the good people of these colonies, solemnly publish and declare that these united colonies and, of right, ought to be free and independent states, that they are absolved from all allegiance to the British crown, and that all political connection between them and the state of Great Britain is and ought to be totally dissolved, and that as free and independent states, they have the the full power to levy war, conclude peace, contract alliances, establish commerce, and to do all other acts and things which independent states may have a right to do.

And for the support of this declaration with a firm reliance on the protection of divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.

the New York Times is telling the truth about Joe Biden telling a friend that he was thinking about dropping out.

I want to go over last thoughts

for the Independence Weekend.

You know, there's a couple of things they say, that we're a democracy and that we're not God-centered.

Well, in the Declaration of Independence, we are all created equal, so that infers a God.

It then mentions nature's God,

and then

waging a war against human nature is the work of the Christian king, meaning you're not Christian.

We know what Christians are.

You're not Christian.

We humbly do the right things because we answer to mankind and to the supreme judge, another reference to God, and with firm reliance on divine providence.

So we are obviously, we were

God people from the very beginning.

And all of the great changes came because of God.

You know, they're saying that we're not a

republic, that we're a democracy.

Well, tell that to the battle hymn of the republic.

It's not the battle hymn of the democracy.

It's the battle hymn of the republic.

And when's the last time you really listen to the words?

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.

He's trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored.

He's loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword.

His truth is marching on.

The truth that all men are created equal, and he is done with it.

And the truth will march on.

I've seen him in the watchfires of a hundred circling camps.

So I've seen him with the soldiers.

They have builded him an altar in the evening dews and damps.

I can read his righteous sentence by the dim and the flaring lamps.

His day is marching on.

I've read the fiery gospel writ in burnished rows of steel.

As ye deal with my contemners, contempt contemners, which are people that are in contempt of the law.

So in other words, you know, anyway,

so with you my grace shall deal.

Let the hero born of woman crush the serpent with his heel.

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat.

He's sifting out the hearts of men before his judgment seat.

Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer him.

Be jubilant on my feet.

In the beauty of the lilies, Christ was born across the sea, with a glory in his bosom that transfigures you and me.

He died to make men holy.

And in the original song, Let us die to make men free, while God is marching on.

We are a republic, and any great advancement in this country has been done with humility

and by following God because

He

is coming and He has the swift and frightening sword.

It is His wrath, not ours.
