Don't Look for a 'Messiah' in Washington, DC | Guests: Sen. Mike Lee & AG Ken Paxton | 1/29/24

2h 6m
President Biden claims he needs Congress to act on the border despite his executive actions being the reason the border is as bad as it is. Glenn and Stu discuss Biden’s out-of-control executive orders. Glenn shares his bipartisan bill to fix the border. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton joins to discuss the ongoing border crisis and argues that Texas has a constitutional right to defend its border if the federal government refuses to do so. Glenn praises the Republican Party of Oklahoma for actually doing something worthwhile. The corporate media is doing its best to claim Texas is overreacting to the border crisis. Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) joins to discuss the proposed border "deal" in the Senate. Glenn’s chief researcher, Jason Buttrill, joins to discuss the trucker convoy headed toward Texas in support of shutting down our southern border.

Thank you so much, Stu.

Thank you.

Hey, I've got great news.

Next Saturday, February 3rd, marks the 100th 100th anniversary of Woodrow Wilson's death.

Wow.

Yes.

Is it too soon?

No, we're not going to do it.

No, I don't think so.

No, not at all.

Now,

David Frum,

everybody's favorite deep, deep conservative.

Oh, of course.

Has come out and said no U.S.

president

has suffered such a calamitous collapse in reputation from its peak to now.

In the issue of The Atlantic that ships Monday, I argue the case for uncanceling Woodrow Wilson.

He is such a great conservative.

I mean, really.

It's time.

It's time to un-cancel.

It's time.

It is really time.

I love that.

You know, it took

only about 90 years to get him canceled.

And now Trump wants to make sure that everybody knows he was great.

And you know what?

In comparison to this president, he might be right.

This president is now asking for new emergency powers.

Now, they're going back and forth and arguing all the details.

And he's like, I can't do anything without Congress.

Since when, Gramps, since when?

You're the one through executive order that created this mess.

How about you just pull your executive orders back and in place what was working?

By the way, in case anybody doubts that this is an event.

Texas is saying this is an invasion.

That's crazy.

Yeah, is it really?

You know who else just said they were invaded?

Mexico.

Mexico is now saying they fear invasion from their southern border.

It feels to them like they are being invaded and they're only a way station.

So,

Stu has some of the details.

I stopped at

giving the president emergency powers.

That was enough for me.

I was like, nope, nope, nope, nope.

You don't want this president to have more authority over your life?

I don't want any president to have more emergency powers.

I mean, if they were using it to shut the border down,

perhaps, you might say.

Perhaps.

Perhaps, you might say.

But I don't think I'm going to give them to the guy who created the problem.

You know, Einstein said something crazy.

And, you know, what did he know?

He had crazy hair.

Einstein said, the people that create the problem

cannot fix the problem.

Wow, was that guy nuts?

Well, he had that crazy hair.

Yeah.

You can't.

So some of the details are basically like you've heard this number being thrown around.

And we can go into the details of this as much as you want, Glenn.

I don't know how worth it is.

but um the reporting we don't have the bill yet we don't actually know what's in the bill we have the reporting on the bill from insiders um that are leaking details so it's important to note we don't know exactly what it is but yeah hang on just a sec see there's there's two ways to frame that just the way you did which is pretty i mean absolutely legitimate and there's the yeah No one knows the details.

Shouldn't this be argued about in Congress?

Do you remember the days when we used to have, you know, we have have chairs in those rooms for a reason and a microphone.

And now when you see congressional people speak on the floor, there's nobody in there.

They're only doing a show for you.

I can't even say you, for anybody who's watching C-SPAN.

That's what they're doing.

There used to be

like a lot of people in that room and they were Mr.

Speaker.

I gotta protest here.

The good gentleman of South Carolina, whatever.

And they would yell back and forth.

And that's how we had debates.

Now it's all backroom deals.

Nobody knows.

Nobody knows what's in that bill.

I can't believe how many stories I read on a weekly basis that are like, Biden issues another $6 billion for this.

And you're like, wait, wait, what?

Where was the, I didn't remember the debate on the $6 billion we were spending.

Where was that?

It just issues.

Remember, issues edict.

Remember when

Congress said no, and then

what's his name came over, you know, wearing the cool, hey, the only thing I have is drab olive green clothing.

That's all I have.

That's all I have.

Didn't have a suit.

Didn't have a pair of jeans.

I only have this outfit.

Really?

Wow.

So he comes over and he's like, we really need more money for Ukraine, which, by the way, they admitted this weekend, $40 billion of your dollars,

this is going to be hard to believe, went to corruption.

They don't know, where did I put that $40 billion the U.S.

just gave me?

Who would have seen that one coming?

So when he came over and Congress said, you know, I don't think we're going to give you any money.

What did Joe Biden say that weekend?

Gonna give you another 20 billion.

It's like, wait, what?

Where did he come from?

Where did that come from?

Where did that come from?

I don't understand.

How does this happen?

They continue to do this over and over again.

The bill, by the way, now, again,

if we had a government that was enforcing the law, this bill would be completely unnecessary, number one.

And number two, you might believe that this new bill might have some value because you'd say, well, they're enforcing the law now, therefore they'll probably enforce this new law, right?

You might also take the opposite position.

They're not.

enforcing this bill now, so they're not going to enforce this.

But basically, you've heard probably, you know, a lot of conservative senators have talked about the fact that 1.8 million, it allows for 1.8 million migrants per year to come through the United States, which is technically accurate.

It allows up to

5,000 per day daily average.

So

essentially, they're saying if it's a quote-unquote a normal flow,

where these things will not kick in, if it becomes to crisis level, which they're defining as 5,000 per day on average or 8,500 in any single day.

So it would be, the way we're talking, you know, some people are talking about this at least, 1.8 million basically means they keep the average exactly at 5,000 for the entire year.

It would be an impossible thing to actually maintain, but you get the point.

If it went over 8,500 a day, the rumors coming out is like they're basically saying, well, we're going to shut down the border.

We're not going to allow anyone who comes in, even if they're asking for asylum.

We're not going to let them in anymore.

That's not going to happen after we get over that number.

Nobody believes that's true.

Nobody believes that's true.

Can we just look at that number of 1.8 again?

I mean,

that'll never.

Okay.

All right.

I mean, it's already happened.

It's much worse.

Let me just give you the new

revised numbers.

Okay.

The reported number of illegal aliens encountered by border officials.

So this is not counting those who got away.

How many do we catch compared to those that we didn't catch?

Who knows?

The new number from October to December was 988,819.

Again, this figure does not include an estimate for the number of illegal aliens who entered the U.S.

undetected during the same period.

By way of comparison, Fiscal year 2023 saw 3.2 million steal into the U.S.

There were 865 incursions in the same three-month period.

In 2021, before the Biden administration took control, there were 272,000.

They held these numbers back because they were just checking the number.

They just want to make sure.

They've been leaked.

Now they're officially out.

988,819.

Now, I like the number 988,819 because it reminds me of the 19 hijackers that took down the World Trade Center.

19 people.

How did they get in?

How did they possibly?

I don't know.

I wish we were only worried about 19 people, but this is a three-month period that had 988,819.

And the politics of this plays very prominently because

Biden, in his speeches this weekend, was saying, well, if they would just sign this bill, I could shut the border down immediately.

Now, the reason he's saying that is because the bill basically, basically, and there's a big asterisk on this, but basically calls for a shutdown of the border if you're over $5,000 a day, which, of course, we're so far over.

So his own failure is what he's bragging about.

Yeah.

Right.

He's saying, well, we could shut it down right away, but the Republicans won't stop it.

Now, of course, he's also arguing in court that he's the only person who can do anything on the border.

If Texas tries to do something on their own, they get overwhelmed and Biden says, no, this is my job.

But at the same time, it's the Republicans' job to pass a new law so that we can kick in the border shutdown that Biden could easily just implement himself, but chooses not to.

The other thing is interesting about this, and this comes from, there's a bunch of people reporting this, but I want to use this one because it's interesting.

Manu Raju from CNN He says in essence once you cross this 5,000 or 8500 barrier that we talked about border would effectively be shut down now to migrants

Parentheses

Not fleeing persecution and who are not entering at ports of entry

So wait so wait, so it's not a shutdown.

It's a shutdown to those who aren't fleeing persecution.

Well, we know that everybody everyone is saying they're fleeing persecution.

That's the whole problem.

And wait, do I understand this right that they're only shutting the official door?

I think it's the reverse.

I think what they're saying is if they shut this down, they shut down the rest of the border.

But if you come to an official port of entry, well, then you're going to be fine.

Or at least you're going to be, it's going to be open to you if you say you're fleeing persecution.

That way, because he has special emergency powers.

That's true.

And we have got to continue to give this president and any president.

I wouldn't give Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis or anybody else at this point anymore special emergency powers.

You know, I saw this happen in several countries before, you know, almost 100 years now.

Does anybody read history?

I know it's not ancient Rome.

with all of the homosexuality and all of that that I think everybody loves nowadays.

This is a little different.

It still had all of

but they were dressed up in very nice Hugo Boss uniforms.

So it was a little classier.

All right, let me take a break now.

I get it that life is busy.

Something like switching from one mobile carrier to another.

It kind of sounds like a hassle, but I'll bet you're not really thrilled with the company you're with if you think about it, which might be why you don't think about it.

They are spending all kinds of money working against the United States.

These are the people that are implementing all of the stuff that you and I talk about every day.

We're like, I shouldn't be doing that.

Public-private partnerships.

What was the phone company that just gave all the, didn't even ask for a warrant, just gave all the information?

Patriot Mobile is not that group.

PatriotMobile.com slash Beck, they will give you free activation when you use the offer code Beck.

That's patriotmobile.com/slash Beck or call 972 Patriot.

10 seconds, station ID.

So

I popped a tire over the weekend.

And,

you know, it's funny because I have a, you know, one of those Land Rovers that could climb a mountain, I'm told.

Climb a mountain.

It can climb a mountain.

But if you hit a curb, it'll blow the tires out.

Well, there's no curbs on mountains.

Right, I know, I know, I know.

Well, so I thought, you know what?

I'm going to change it myself.

My son's in the car with me.

Let's change the tire.

You're going to teach him a lesson about being a man.

Let's go and being a man.

Let's get that tire out.

We do.

We get it out.

We jack it all up.

And then I take the, you know, the lug nut wrench.

Yeah.

And it doesn't fit the lug nuts.

And so I call,

you know, for customer, call in case of an emergency.

So I call.

And it's in French.

And I'm like, why?

What?

Is this in French?

Because the service is in Canada.

Oh, hello.

yes.

Can we help you?

Yeah, maybe with a fine cheese sometime later, Pierre, but right now I'm having a problem.

Oh, well, the little device is in the no, nope, nope, that little device is not in.

Why do you have a little device that has to go on

the crowbar?

Well, I mean, the wrench.

Why why?

Why do I have to

Well, it is a fantastic

shut up.

Shut up.

So

we took it all down because we didn't have the special thing and

nobody has the special thing.

Even the dealership didn't have the special thing.

You'll have to bring it in.

Oh, well, that's really...

Thank you.

That's wonderful.

I love that.

So.

So is this what's inspiring, I would say, your mood to start the week here?

No, that was a good part of the weekend.

Oh, okay.

No.

No.

There's something else, but I think I'll save that for later.

So I just

tried, son.

I tried, but the man will keep you down.

And now because of that special thing.

You tried to teach him to be a man, and now he's probably going to transition, right?

Because

he's going to transition into a French Canadian at any moment.

Yeah.

Yeah.

That's sad.

It was good.

It was good while it lasted.

Yeah.

It was like, why?

Why?

Why?

Why?

Why would you do that?

Why would you do that?

Why would you have a place where I, because I could see it, okay?

I could see right where it is.

I've never changed the tire before.

Nobody's ever changed the tire before on this car.

Okay.

So where's the little thing?

I can see.

Yes, I opened up your little emergency box.

I opened it.

And there's a place where it goes, but no little thing.

So thank you.

Well, I mean, you're describing it with so much detail.

They must have known exactly what you meant.

Where's the little thing?

I said, how come I try to get the lug nut and it won't, it doesn't fit.

And they're like, oh, you need a special adapter.

Why?

What car comes with a special adapter?

Your car comes with the lug nut remover bar that fits the lug nuts.

The lug nut remover bar, right?

There's nothing that makes sense anymore.

No.

Nothing makes sense.

Nothing.

I blame the Canadians and the French.

This is probably the first call they've ever received about someone actually trying to change their own tire.

Can I tell you something?

I'm changing the tire and I get a call and they're like, Glenn, you're supposed to be on, you know, a news program in Britain right now.

And I'm like, what?

Quick, call this number.

So I get the, and I put the camera up, you know, on my phone.

And they're like, can you not move it?

And I'm like, no, I'm changing a tire.

And you are pretty damn close to the French right now because it's your stupid car that came from your stupid country.

And they're like, okay, okay, okay, okay, we're on.

Three, two, one.

We get into this interview.

We did the interview on the side of the road.

On the side of the road.

And

here was the question.

The question was: I mean, we were talking in depth about what's going on at the border.

And the host said, so,

Mr.

Beck, is America on the verge of war?

Is it safe tonight?

And I said, what?

Somebody called my phone and cut off.

So I left the people in Great Britain

asking that question.

And

again, I blame it on Canada and the French.

I don't know exactly.

Well, yeah, I guess it's their fault.

I don't know exactly.

It would have been home.

But

nope.

This can climb a mountain.

But slow down in the parking lot, okay?

Right.

Slow down.

Glenn Beck.

You know, there are days when you wake up in the morning and you still can't believe how great you fell.

I mean, this literally happened to me today.

I woke up and I was like, oh my gosh, I don't think I felt this good in a while.

From CNN.

President Joe Biden is embracing tougher border measures, including shutting down the U.S.-Mexico border, marking a stark shift from his early days in office as he tries to fend off former President Donald Trump's attacks on immigration policy.

Hours after Speaker of the House Mike Johnson Johnson warned on Friday that the emerging border deal in the Senate was dead on arrival, Biden offered this message to House Republicans.

CNN translates, securing the border through these negotiations is a win for America.

For everyone who is demanding tougher border control, this is the way to do it.

If you are serious about the border crisis, pass a bipartisan bill and I will sign it.

Now,

CNN goes on to explain.

Over the course of his administration, Biden has leaned on more restrictive measures to try to stem the flow of migration.

Which administration is this?

I'm sorry.

What is he, what?

But Friday's statement revealed a tougher stance as the president tries to control the issue that's dogged him.

Is he too tough of a bird?

I think he might be too tough.

Well, I I have worked all weekend long on a bipartisan bill.

Okay.

Okay.

Now,

I'm going to do something that the politicians won't.

I'm going to show it to America and then we could debate and discuss it.

Not sure about that tactic.

All right.

It seems like it's right.

Here it is.

Now,

listen carefully.

I've written it down, and I'm waiting for the president's signature.

It just says, we will enforce

all federal laws at all borders at all times and then he just puts a signature there that's wow yeah so you we can debate we can debate is it too much is it too little is there any pork in there that you see

right well what if we just don't do it on the southern border you said all no it says all borders

i'm trying to negotiate with you here glenn what do i think what about some of the times no how about how about none of the times how about that no i think he should sign this one how about we won't enforce all federal laws at all borders?

No, it says we will enforce it.

I'm just trying to help you get this thorough.

Are you a member of the administration?

Because that's what they'll do.

After he says, I'm the gang of eight.

Yeah, you're the gang of eight.

I look like eight people combined, and I'm the gang of eight.

Well, there it is.

So it's now, there has been some talk in committee.

Yeah.

The committee that lives inside your head.

Yep.

There's lots of us in here.

And

Bill was saying, well, I don't know, Mr.

Beck, because

what year is it in your head?

It's like 1824.

And I'm just looking at this, and I see it's signed by President Joe Biden.

And I said, yes, sir.

And he said, but he tends not to enforce the laws.

And I said, I know that's why this is a

pinky promise that says he will enforce the laws.

Right, okay.

I'd like to make an amendment.

So

I have an amendment I would like to offer from one of the voices in my head and uh so he signs this one that says you know i'll enforce the law the federal laws at all borders at all times and then he signs this one into law i will actually enforce the law i just signed by joe biden

i feel like we might get into a little bit of a russian doll situation here where i go just

bill after bill after bill right i think it would improve the situation.

You do, you do.

Yeah.

So I just don't think that, you know,

that we need any of those special emergency powers, you know.

And, you know, NBC made me feel better.

These are just akin to the ones that were introduced during COVID.

Oh,

oh, okay.

Oh, yeah.

Wait, so first of all, the laws like COVID, you mean the ones that the Biden administration fought so hard to overturn?

Why?

Because I remember Trump did put in a bunch of restrictions, and the entire debate of the early administration was how fast he could get them removed.

Right.

And then how...

No, this is just giving them the emergency power to put those or any other kind of things that they might think of in.

And, of course, that doesn't affect people who are saying they're persecuted.

No.

Those people can still come in.

Come on, come in.

Come on.

And if you come in the front door, we just don't want you climbing through the windows.

Right.

Yeah.

So you can come in.

By the way, you know, some would think, hey, this sounds really bad.

Some,

including, you know who, this sounds to me like a Mexican standoff.

And I was in my head going, hey, stop that language.

This is not a Mexican.

What year are you from?

I will say, I want to see the animated film Inside Out about your head and all the different personalities in there having these arguments.

That would be a great sequel.

It would be good.

Anyway,

you know, we are at a place now where the federal government,

you know, at any time could say, hey,

we don't appreciate it, Texas, and do more than, oh, I can't even say that.

That is so wrong of me.

My gosh.

I have grown so callous that I would even suspect

that Friday, the president coming out and saying, we're stopping all natural gas exportation from the United States of America for the next year, not only really pissed off our allies because they need it,

but I was just about to go down this very callous road.

And I apologize in advance for thinking that that may have happened on Friday because the two states that would be punished would be Texas and Florida.

Now,

to assume the president would do something like that is just

to have him say,

CNN would translate, I want to make things better for the people in Texas.

That's why I'm going to shut down 30% of all of America's supply just coming out of Texas.

I think

I could have felt targeted by the president, but I don't think that's what he's doing at all.

Always looking out for the best for all of us.

Thank you.

That's the Joe Biden way.

I think people believe that.

So, you know, he's got Border Patrol that he commands, he commands.

And then we have Greg Abbott, who he commands the National Guard.

And then we have the president who says, no, I'm the leader of the National Guard.

And so he's saying, I'm going to federalize them.

And if he federalizes them then and this is a really great soldiers love this when they're like um

okay

i'm kind of in the middle of this

and

i kind of agree with this guy doesn't matter which guy i kind of agree with this guy so i think i'm not gonna do what the other guy tells me to do.

Soldiers love ambiguity.

They love it.

It's very important for a military.

It really is.

You got to make sure you have different orders from different people and letting them decide individually.

And then, well, they can't decide.

You know, if they decide, well, then they should be tried.

You know, and it's like the Border Patrol.

Oh, you know, the Border Patrol, are you going to, are you going to shoot the Texas National Guard or the Texas law enforcement?

Especially since you guys really agree.

In fact, they came out.

Rank and file Border Patrol agents are not going to start arresting Texas National Guard members for following their lawful orders.

That's fake news.

Texas National Guard and rank-and-file BP agents work together and respect each other's jobs, period.

The Texas National Guard members have lawful orders, and they have to carry out those orders.

So the rank-and-file of the Border Patrol is kind of on the side of Texas.

Now,

this is where that crazy ambiguity thing happens.

It's so fun.

It's so fun.

Well, you know, if you wanted direct orders, you know, and you wanted this to be so much better for yourself, all you have to do is stop whipping migrants on horseback.

And being such a huge problem.

And you know what?

The Texas Border Patrol, they appreciated that.

They appreciated when the president came out and said,

What I like, too, is how they, after it was proven without a shadow of a doubt that it didn't happen, they didn't bother correcting it.

I think that's important important for a military's morale.

MAGA extremist.

Is that what you said, Mr.

President?

MAGA extremists?

Oh, or sorry, ultra MAGA extremists.

I'm sorry.

You know, the MAGA.

It's like the marketing isn't working on new MAGA.

Right.

Ultra MAGA.

Super, super huge, scary MAGA.

Yeah, like it didn't work when just saying they were MAGA, and then it didn't work when they said it was MAGA extremists.

Now it's ultra-maga extremists, and then it's ultra-maga extremist now with uh now with ESG.

Yeah.

Is that like MSG?

Kind of.

I feel like we're going to go to ultra MAGA mega Doppler

extremist

very soon.

Right.

And then we just keep upping it from there.

Extra

spicy MAGA.

It's like what they do with global warming, right?

Like they come out and they say, well, in 50 years, this could happen.

And then when people are like, okay, okay,

tell me, get in touch with me in 49 years.

And they're like, it's actually happening right now.

It's worse than ever.

do you believe that no

oh my god it happened last week

timing it now uh the uh the uh oklahoma republican party did something this weekend

i think that should just be the headline republican party does something

uh and originally i read this and i thought oh boy here we go and i have to say

something good yeah something good something good they did something and it was something good I'll tell you about it coming up in just a second.

So there's huge news in the world of online scamming.

So-called mother of all breaches.

Love that.

Love that.

It's kind of like the czar breach.

A massive data leak of billions, that's with a B, billions of records from previous data breaches, newly stolen data, and privately sold databases.

Most of the data is considered sensitive, so that's great for you and me too.

Oh, the government's doing such a bang-up job.

You know, maybe we should trust this in the hands of the private sector.

That's what I do.

All right, we got a couple of things coming up.

I mean, I'm just thinking, I have a real problem with, you know, Valentine's Day is coming up, and I have a real problem with Valentine's Day and cards.

And And really, at some point, I'm going to erupt on that.

You've revealed a bit of this off the air, and it would,

I don't think it's going to be good for your future if you tell the story.

Well, I think I have to.

Maybe not today, but I think it's.

It would be good for America.

Yeah.

It would not be good for you.

Oh, no, it'd be good for every man listening.

Every man listening would be like, damn right.

Yeah.

Finally, somebody said it.

And it's coming.

It's just not today.

Not today.

Just not today.

Not today.

You need to, I mean, knowing the story, and I can't give too much detail, but knowing the story, you need to utilize this as like a hall pass, like where like you screwed up badly.

Oh, no.

And then you bring it up as like a, oh, like.

Oh, that's that's the opposite of the story, Stu.

And when I tell the story, oh, you will understand.

You will understand.

I am not going to do that.

That's right.

New.

New.

All right.

So we have the MAGA truckers, the ultra-maga.

The ultra-angry MAGA, Maxim MAGA people.

I like that one.

Yeah, yeah.

Magnum MAGA.

MAGA, MAXIM, MAGA.

We're going to talk about those guys coming up in just a second.

Because some of them, I think, are on the way now,

you know, in their trucks.

Really?

Yeah.

Driving.

I cannot believe how bad this border situation

has gotten because usually they will at least attempt to keep it out of the realm of politics.

It's become something that it's not just us talking about here on the Glenn Beck program.

We've been talking about this for 20-something years on the Glenn Beck program, right?

Like, this has bothered us forever, people not following the law.

But this is a situation where, like, you know, moderate to left people are complaining about it.

Let me give you this news.

Just in from the city of Denver.

Denver has begun ordering foreign national migrants in its shelter system to get out after February 5th.

Oh my gosh, this is so insensitive.

What do they want people to die?

They just want little people, the children to starve.

Oh my gosh.

Denver is the top destination per capita.

Congratulations for foreign migrants who have crossed the country's international border with Mexico and have been ferried.

Now listen to this, Stu.

Listen to this.

Have been ferried to their jurisdiction by buses paid for by the state of Texas.

Now let me ask you something.

Is that the only way they got there?

Is that the major source of migrants?

Or is it

10%?

Maybe.

Have there been any planes?

Have there been any migrants on those planes?

Did they get an official pass to board a plane?

Do things like things that you can't do to board that plane?

plane?

Like, I don't know, have I D

or a final destination in mind?

Any of that happen, Denver?

In all seriousness, what is it, 25,000 from Texas?

They say 40,000 arrived.

40,000, okay, paid for by the state of Texas.

So 40,000.

Even so,

what are we supposed to take everybody?

Right.

First of all, you're just assuming that we're going to deal with this entire problem, as has always been the case.

And if you weren't having the problem, I can guarantee you you'd be saying, shut up, Texas.

You just don't care.

100%.

And secondly, 40,000 is, if it was only 40,000, that would not be something that Eric Adams would be, you know, talking about every day.

He's said it's hundreds of thousands.

Yeah.

So, like, where, why are, why is Texas getting the money?

This is why it's all politics, right?

The Bayer Bill will do nothing.

It's all about politics on both sides.

They're both just playing this for politics.

And it's going to, it only gets worse.

Darn it.

I didn't get to the good news on what the republicans did but i want to i say it fast i just no no no i want you to saber that because it's been a long time since i said the republicans did the right thing this weekend

Welcome to the Glen Beck Program.

We are so glad that you have tuned in today.

You know, we had a little bit of problems with Iran over the weekend.

They killed some more of our soldiers and injured another 25, another drone attack.

They said, what, we've had nothing.

Uh-huh.

And here's the good news.

Biden has promised a response.

And nobody knows when that could happen.

My guess is sometime between the cup of pills and the cup of pudding this afternoon.

But

don't quote me on that.

I don't know.

Also, Trouble on Our Border, Ken Paxton, the Attorney General of the Great State of Texas,

who

if you've really done your homework on this, you must, I'm going to tweet them out, you must read his letter from last week in response to the Department of Homeland Security.

I'm going to go over parts of it, but

it is

one of the most clarifying letters I think I've read in a long time.

Ken Paxton, talk to us about the Texas border.

Next.

First, once upon a time, we made almost all of our clothing that Americans wore here in the United States.

And then, little Jack climbed up that bean pole.

Yes, and he took all of the clothes that the giant was making and threw them out in a little hole in the floor, which was a design flaw, I will tell you, on that whole castle thing.

You don't usually have...

But anyway, America doesn't make their own clothes anymore.

So the giant is back.

It's American Giant at American-Giant.com.

We desperately need now more than ever to get back to the independent spirit of American manufacturing.

We don't make jack anymore.

Well, actually, we do make jack, and it's one of my favorites, but that's why I'm an alcoholic and a totally different story.

The cotton, the milling, the cutting, the sewing, 100% American.

And with that comes American quality.

You can buy cheaper, but you're going to get cheaper quality made by workers overseas who are, you know, I don't know, living in China, you know, making cell phones and throwing themselves off of buildings.

If you want that, go ahead.

American Giant doesn't have any of that.

All made here in America.

Attorney General Ken Paxton joins us now.

Hello, Ken.

How are you?

Thank you.

I'm well.

Good morning.

Good morning.

So

I just have to say,

I read your letter to the general counsel of the U.S.

Department of Homeland Security, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This particular paragraph I would like to quote.

You are talking to a man who the Department of Homeland Security and the federal government has said, we have government land and you're not letting us use and access our government land so we can get down to the river.

You said, second, you say the United States acquired a perpetual easement from the city of Eagle Pass in 2018.

What I said last week about the 2015 MOA, I'll say again now about your latest claim.

Quote, Texas never approved that transaction as required by Article 4, Section 10 of the Texas Constitution.

Your federal agency cannot have something that it was not the city's right to give.

You are invited to read that document here, hyperlink to the Constitution, but even if the 2015 MOA were somehow valid, you're not seeking access consistent with its terms.

The non-exclusive exclusive easement from 2018 is attached for your convenience.

Its express purpose purpose is to allow maintenance of a road along the river, including the right to trim trees or other obstacles within the roadway.

Elsewhere, the 2018 easement prohibits the United States from making any permanent improvements other than roadway without written city approval.

If your federal agency wishes to help municipal officials with tree trimming and road maintenance chores, I suspect they would appreciate the help.

The 2018 easement, however, nowhere contemplates allowing the federal government to deploy infrastructure that President Biden will use to waive thousands of illegal aliens into a park that will continue to be and used and enjoyed for recreational events.

I found your clarity enjoyable.

Me too.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I mean, it's just, it's not complicated, and they keep misstating what actually is true.

And you know that about the border, and then about this particular case, because the law and the facts do not back them up, and so they make unfounded claims about how it's their property, and how they have an agreement with the city that's obviously not based in any fact.

So, anyway,

it's the way they operate, and it's how they've operated for three and a half years.

And we're going to hope that the electorate gets it and realizes how bad this is.

So,

there's been people that are saying that

none of this constitutional stuff was argued with the last case that was in front of the Supreme Court.

And if I'm not mistaken, that's true.

You're arguing an invasion backed up by eight different letters given to the president.

He ignored all eight of them.

This is an attempt, I think, to get them into the Supreme Court, is it not?

Yes.

So, you know, it was, what, 10, 12 years ago that Obama sued Arizona over their law, which tried to protect Arizona, and Roberts and Kennedy, and the three liberal judges came in and said that's, you know, it's preempted by federal law.

But it is true also that we've seen a very different border than we've ever seen, and the consequences of that decision have had a dramatically negative impact on the country.

I don't even know if you can measure it, both socially and economically, but it's also true that it wasn't argued that there was an invasion.

So this is a different argument in front of a very different court.

And we're hopeful that we can get at least the five justices that are not Roberts and maybe even Roberts if he starts realizing how bad that decision was.

So the, I mean, you have a

the only case that I think that they could make

that the American people would understand is, well, this is not an invasion.

That's not what the Constitution meant by invasion.

And we could argue that point all day long and win win a thousand times.

However, you're not the only one saying it.

Now you have 25

governors saying it, and the state of Mexico is now saying that they fear there's an invasion of their company or country coming in from the southern border, their southern border.

Well, you're right.

There's more people saying it, more recognizing it.

It's becoming common knowledge and common understanding.

It's also true.

I don't think that any of these states would have joined the Confederation or

signed on to the Constitution.

And I don't think Texas, surely at that time, would have signed on if they believed that the federal government could pass laws about people coming across the border and then somehow not enforce those laws.

And then the state would be prohibited from defending their borders, and they would have to allow all kinds of crime.

and who knows who can coming across the border, including terrorists.

I cannot believe that was the understanding at the time.

So

it's difficult for me to believe that's what the founders meant.

And that's what really matters here.

What did the founders envision?

So I want to go back to this because Ken Cuccinelli and others have said Paxton and Abbott are not asserting the invasion clause in the border fence case.

They did in the Bowie case, but not this one.

This is separate, correct?

Yes, they're separate cases.

One, we were sued by the federal government.

The other, we sued the federal government.

So we had different arguments for different cases.

We've made the invasion argument.

The governor has declared an invasion.

You can quibble over how we use it, when we use it.

I guess if Ken wanted to write the briefs, he could come in and try to help us.

But the reality is, you know, we've got a pretty good team that's been pretty successful against Biden administration.

So I guess you can always say, well, they're not perfect.

They don't get 100% of the wins.

But guess what?

We don't decide the cases either.

So I don't necessarily think that, you know, if Ken had the pen on every case, that he'd get it all right either or that we'd necessarily agree with him on every particular point.

And it does, but it's my, and excuse me, I'm, I'm way, way

out of my league on this one.

But it seems to me that this is

something entirely new.

What happened last week after the decision, that this is entirely new and you're trying to either get the government to sue you or you in a place where you have to sue the government.

So this is entirely separate, is it not?

That's correct.

And we also have another law going into effect.

So we got the Buys case.

We've got the Constructino Wire case, which is still going despite the fact that the Supreme Court stopped the injunction.

We still have that case going in the Fifth Circuit.

We also have, we're going to have, we've already been sued by the federal government and the ACLU over a law that was passed that goes into effect, passed by the legislature, state legislature.

goes into effect, I think, March 5th, and it says that Texas can start deporting on its own.

So

all of these cases are going to be opportunities for us to make the argument, hey, we're being invaded.

Hey, this decision that you made in the past cannot be right given the consequences to our state.

The federal government shouldn't be able to pass laws, then not enforce them, and not enforce them.

They're actually aiding and abetting the cartels.

They can't be allowed to help the cartels, and then we have to sit on the sidelines and and suffer the terrible consequences of that decision.

All right, back with Ken Paxton with more in just one minute, 60 seconds, time first.

Ken, what happens if the president says I'm going to federalize the National Guard?

So he has the right to do it.

Obviously, I think that's a bad decision.

I think it's also a bad decision for his election chances because

his numbers on the immigration issue are not good.

And if he takes over our National Guard and makes it even harder for us to protect the border, then I think that hurts him in the upcoming election.

So he's got to make a choice here.

Does he want to continue to damage his reputation and his standing on the immigration issue?

Or is he going to go forward with this policy that he has for the last three and a half years, which is dismantle every law that we have in place and help the cartels accomplish their goals of getting as many people here as possible and building their network in our country?

Trevor Burrus, Jr.: And he would probably have to nationalize the National Guard for 25 different states because they're sending their National Guard, right?

Yeah, so every state that sends National Guard, I would assume, I mean, that he would have to take them too.

So it's going to be very confrontational.

It's going to be very directed at the states.

And it's going to be very directed at helping the cartels continue their operations on the border.

Trevor Burrus: Do you think the LNG decision that came out

this weekend about natural gas sales being curbed for overseas for the next year.

Do you think that was directed to Texas?

Oh, I have no doubt.

That was at least a

side part of it.

Obviously, they don't like any fossil fuels, even if they are clean burning fossil fuels.

They've enriched many people doing all this alternative stuff that doesn't work yet.

At least

it's not affordable for most

Americans.

But there's no doubt in my mind.

They were probably enjoying the fact that it would hurt the Texas economy.

But I also think that's what the border is about.

They want to, not only is it about voting, that's the long-term thing, but the other part of what they're doing is bringing people into our state so that we have higher costs.

We have law enforcement costs, health care costs, we have education costs, and they know that, and they know that the Republican states have been successful versus the Democratic states, and that's proven by people voting with their feet.

And I think they're doing their best to damage and harm in any way possible, even if it means higher crime, the Republican states.

So, Ken, this is a crazy conversation we're having.

It is.

It's hard to believe I'm saying this.

It sounds so conspiratorial, but I don't have to.

I can see what they're doing.

It's not like a secret.

It's all out in the open.

So for me to say that, I'm just commenting on nothing secret.

I'm commenting on what I see.

And it's pretty obvious this hurts our state.

It's pretty obvious they're bringing these people in because they want them to vote, and they want to be able to use it in their congressional drawing.

And it's pretty obvious that they know that they'll bring these people to Republican states and they'll hurt the Republican states.

So Friday, there was this moment when the president said, you have 24 hours.

It sounded like, wait, 24 hours for what?

And giving people the...

I mean, we're entering times.

If things go awry, and like, God help us, I don't want this.

But if things go awry, you're you're gonna have the ambiguity of wait do i answer that law or this law and it's i mean this is what a constitutional crisis looks like um

do you do you

have you guys talked about that being a real possibility that he does something really foolish that causes

real trouble

yeah i mean we've certainly talked about we've certainly thought about it it's it's hard to imagine that he would somehow try to create some armed violent conflict.

That certainly doesn't make a lot of sense.

And if you think about it, people on the border, the border patrol agents, they're on our side.

They don't like what Biden's doing.

None of those people,

they're all working together.

They're all friends.

They know each other, whether they're National Guard, State Police, Border Patrol, they all have the same goal.

They're just being forced by Mayorkas and Biden to not just ignore the law, but to, as I said,

it's more than ignoring the law.

It is actually dismantling it and telling the cartels, we'll help you.

Don't worry about hiding people anymore.

That's the way, you know, they used to try to sneak across.

Now it's like, we just bring as many people as you can.

We'll make it very efficient for you.

So, you know, they're making $10,000 to $12,000 a person.

So it's very helpful to the cartels now, the Biden administration is doing this, and they know that.

And that's why they're incentivized to get as many people here as possible.

What do you think of the trucker convoy?

Is that helpful?

Oh, I'd love to see the border shut down.

I mean, the reality is anything that makes Biden blink and stop doing this and economic consequences when things are not being shipped back and forth have an economic consequence.

And that's why we do economic sanctions.

And if this is the only way we can stop the terribleness, I don't have a problem with anything like that that affects commerce and sends a message to Biden administration.

It's like a strike.

It sends a message.

I worry only because,

you know, up in Canada, look what they tried to do to those truckers and did.

But this is in Canada.

And as long as there's no infiltrators there,

they'll be fine.

But again, this is in Canada.

The law enforcement will not be looking to pick a fight with the truckers.

They will actually, I think, be more in line with if there is somebody out of line.

They'll arrest them quickly, but not necessarily blame it on the truckers unless the truckers were doing it.

But I doubt that.

No, I agree with you.

I don't think we have the same mentality as the Canadians.

And, you know, I might say we.

I'm sure the Biden administration does.

They're in line with the Canadian government.

There's no doubt about that.

But I'm saying in general, law enforcement is not sympathetic to federal law being violated and the cartels being enriched and helped.

What are you saying to the other 25 states?

And is there a chance any of the others, like denver just said we we we're out we we have nothing we can't you got to get out of our homeless shelters because we can't afford to keep this are any of the other states possible on joining

yeah look i think this is going past republican democrat you can see you know these sanctuary cities were created during the trump administration to complain about trump's uh immigration enforcing immigration law then when biden came in all suddenly they get they started getting a trickle i say trickle compared to what we have to deal with, and suddenly they're realizing, wow, this is really expensive and it has high costs both economically and socially, and they realize this is not a good thing for our city.

And I think you're going to see more and more cities because they literally just not enough money to pay for the entire cost of millions and millions of people moving into our country.

And we're all going to be suffering for this for a long time.

And I think this hurts Biden in the upcoming election.

It hurts the country for obviously much longer than that.

I know you don't have any of the details.

Nobody does, and that's always a special surprise in these things.

But the bipartisan bill that Biden is trying to get through, any thoughts on that?

I'm very suspicious.

I don't want to give in and start allowing people in in violation of our current laws.

That doesn't solve the problem.

It just supposedly you get a deal for something that actually hurts the country.

So

I'm not against immigration, but let's make sure that it makes sense and we're not caving

because the Biden administration has violated the laws for the last three and a half years.

And we're going to say, well, because he's letting in

millions a year, we're going to just say he can only let in a million.

Well, that's not the way to answer this.

They should follow federal law.

And if they want to change the law, make it something that's good for America.

Make it something that makes the system more efficient.

Ken Paxton, the Texas Attorney General on Texas' constitutional right to protect its border.

Ken, Godspeed.

Stay Stay safe.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Have a great day.

All right.

Glenn Beck.

You know the cost of a new car, a used car is up almost 50% from what it was five years ago.

It's not just inflation, it's also supply chain issues.

And it's absolutely insane.

Unfortunately, that's the truth, and that's the way this system is now working and the government is just making things worse and worse and worse.

Stop the music, Sarah.

I have to make this announcement.

It is,

I don't know if I've ever said these words before.

This weekend, the Republican Party

did something right.

Wow.

Oh, yeah.

Very lonely, lonely headline all by itself.

But I'm skeptical, Glenn.

No, no.

Well, let me give you the details.

You're right to be skeptical.

I'm sorry to cut you off, but I know the details that you don't know.

You know, Senator Lankford, a Republican, he's been negotiating all weekend and we got to sign this border deal.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So

they issued a statement.

Senator Lankford playing fast and loose with the Democrats on our border policy not only disenfranchises legal immigrants seeking citizenship, but it also puts the safety and security of Americans in great danger.

Authorizing several thousand people to invade our borders before any action can be taken is contrary to the oath that Senator Lankford took to the Constitution and therefore outside of the area that he is authorized to negotiate in.

End quote.

Holy cow.

You know, as my father used to say as we sat around those campfires in our logging camp in the Pacific Northwest, they got a set of walls on them, man.

That's how they sounded in the Pacific Northwest?

It was weird.

It was weird.

And I don't know why I was in that logging camp at night, but

yeah, I mean, thank you.

Thank you, Republican Party of Oklahoma.

I dare you to do it again.

I dare you to force me into another announcement that you did something good.

He says that, oh, no, we're not going to allow 1.8 million.

We're never going to sign something like that.

You guys don't even know what's in this bill yet, which I will say is true.

And a problem.

Kind of an issue.

I guess they're negotiating it, though.

There's no official bill.

They're just negotiating it.

Well, it seems like the.

I love these gangs of whatever fill in the number.

If you're in the Senate, it should be a gang of 50.

I love how the Senate is the only place you'd be like, How do we improve our image?

Let's call ourselves a gang.

That's an improvement.

When you have an 8% approval rating, I guess that's how it works.

So

let me give you this story from

The Daily Beast, which is, I mean, always the best in journalism.

I don't think I have ever read

a bigger piece of snot on

a Kleenex than this.

Thank you for that.

You're welcome.

A convoy that includes election deniers, anti-vaxxers, and QAnon devotees is determined to insert itself into the border battles and experts warn that trouble could escalate.

Wow.

It's got everything.

It has everything.

It has bad guys and bad guys and more bad guys doing really bad stuff

and really good experts who are warning.

The Daily Beast continues.

Listen to this writing.

A convoy of Jesus-loving truckers will converge on the southern border next week in a battle.

to stop what they say is a migrant invasion.

Okay, they're not saying that.

25 states are saying that as Texans remain locked in a standoff with the feds over razor wire.

It's not over razor wire.

No, that's not what it is.

It's about,

you know, 988,000 people coming over the southern border here in the last three months.

That affects everybody, including you.

But the event called the Take Our Border Back Convoy was promoted by far-right media as advertised as a peaceful assembly of active and former law enforcement military ranchers, bikers, business owners, and mama bears.

As Media Matters points out, some of the organizers include a rogues gallery of election deniers, anti-vaxxers, and QAnon conspiracy theorists.

One ring leader, one ring, one organized, one ringleader, Kim Yater,

recently told a Christian podcaster that the convoy is a God movement that could halt a Trojan horse in the 2024 election.

America, we've got to take our borders back, shine the light on what's going on, expose it, she said to a radio host that promotes 2020 election fraud lines.

The Bible says we have to bring everything into the light.

We need to hold our elected officials accountable and close the border and send the illegal immigrants back home to their countries.

The battle is the Lord's, Yader later added.

Yader later?

Yes.

We must stop.

No, we must step in as victors in Christ.

We are not victims of the enemy.

Co-owner, a co-organizer.

Well, it was an organizer before, it was ringleader.

Co-ringleader, that's what it should have been, Mark Anthony told another right-wing show, the Spirit of God is here and we all all feel it.

It's coming.

And it's just the most amazing thing that God could put on some of our hearts to have this assembly.

He's here, he's present, and this is about him.

Daily Beast isn't buying it.

The convoy, which has raised more than $54,000 as of Friday evening, will take off on January 29th and meet in three different spots, February 3rd, Eagle Pass, Yuma.

No, sorry, Eagle Pass, Texas, Yuma, Arizona, and San Yesidro, California.

The convoy is just an opportunity to engage in the kind of cosplay that they've been doing at state capitals.

Cosplay?

You mean like, I'm a furry little deer.

I need to drink my water out of a little dish in the back of the schoolroom.

You mean that kind of cosplay?

Because I don't think they've been doing that.

A promotional video for the Cavalcade opens with the words, warning, invasion alert.

Don Hayter Markle.

I love people with hyphens in their name.

Don Mader Heichel, professional, sorry, professor of political science at the University of Kansas, told the Daily Beast that he had two concerns about the demonstration.

One, that it could just be a money-grabbing scheme.

And two,

it will attract armed extremists and vigilante groups.

Okay.

Did he have any positive points to it?

Did he say, you know, but it might be what they say it is?

Rhetoric displayed in the video, along with former President Trump's remarks that immigrants are poisoning the blood of our country, could spark a violent situation, he said.

They're basically setting up a

confrontation.

What we're doing is to confront not just this problem, but individual migrants that might be trying to cross the border.

So the sense of threat and responding to threat is elevated.

You're going to get people worked up into a frenzy over this.

Look at me.

I'm already, you just called me Daily Beat.

Look at me.

I'm already a frenzy.

I'm a ghast.

I'm a gog.

The notion that there's going to be complete peace, there's going to be no criminal activity, nothing bad's going to happen.

To me, that seems really, really misguided.

The Peaceful Assembly laid a label on the flyer.

He added.

That's just about reducing liability.

That's all we're doing there.

They don't actually mean there will be a peaceful assembly.

The truckers will descend on Texas as tensions run high.

Wow.

That is, I was going to say a piece of something, but I think, well, journalism doesn't actually fit in that sentence, but what a piece that is from The Daily Beast.

It's wonderful.

I wonder where they stand on this.

It's hard to tell.

What happens, Glenn, with journalism is they express such unbiased viewpoints that it's difficult to discern which side of any given contentious issue they might be on.

And that's, I think, what you find with quality journalism like that.

The professor went on to say.

They're engaging in the kind of cosplay they've been doing in state capitals.

That's where the genesis of this has come.

Of course, I'm sorry you caught me on the bathroom in the toilet.

This idea that we we could all mobilize in one place and espouse our love of Jesus Christ along with brandishing our firearms and all those kinds of things.

Wait, we love Jesus Christ.

We're brandishing our firearms and all those kinds of things.

I don't know what else goes with that.

Do you?

What else?

What else would you hey, we're having a big get-together where we're all gonna say we love Jesus Christ and have our firearms and all those other things.

What do you bring?

What do you bring to that party?

I don't, I'm not sure.

I've never been.

Haven't seen the invite.

It's just an opportunity to act out their identities and their beliefs.

Oh

You mean like the little kid in third grade who's dressed up as a deer and drinking her water from a dog dish in the back of the classroom?

No, that's entirely different.

Okay.

john lewis a research fellow at the program on extremism at george washington university it's got to be good told the daily beast that while the convoy will likely only include a small not entirely competent group of conspiracy theories theorists wait wait wait wait wait so he's not it's not enough that it's a convoy of conspiracy theorists.

They're not really competent either.

I got a conspiracy for you.

The sun

is going around the earth, and tomorrow it's going to come up again,

and it's maybe some sort of a plot.

Well, that's an incompetent conspiracy theorist, I think.

Okay, I understand what you're really, that's who's coming, huh?

It's a symptom of this deeper rot in American discourse.

He notes that the organizer's message includes Christian nationalist undertones

and also taps into the great replacement theory.

You know, I got to tell you, that great replacement theory thing, I never bought into it,

but with 10 million people coming in from around the country,

I don't know.

You could make a case that, I don't know, 50 or 100 years down the road, I don't really care.

What I care about is the culture myself.

I'm not a fan of Western culture because it's got a lot of white people in it.

I'm a fan because it's brought a lot of good to the world.

So I don't care what color you are.

I do care about

the culture being replaced.

You know what I'm saying?

And if you got 10 million people in here, they don't know nor care about the culture.

And if they go to school, all they hear about is how bad this culture is, how bad these people are.

I, yeah, I think you're just automatically automatically going to replace this country.

Yeah, I mean, that's obviously something totally different from the theory that the left likes to talk about, but it's kind of a concern when you talk about how the American culture has been a really positive influence on the world.

Maybe it's freed minorities, women, every group that the left says they care about has brought prosperity and success to them, and yet all of a sudden we're we vilify it like it's the worst thing in the world.

I'm wondering who the conspiracy theorists are because they keep telling us that these things are not happening.

Not the replacement theory, but you know, like shadowy people in the yeah, it's called the WEF.

They talk, it just, they just said the big thing was, you know, open borders, uh, and they're doing it with the UN.

I mean, they're paying for it.

Here's the proof.

We have the receipts.

That's just what a crappy conspiracy theorist would say.

Incompetent to bring receipts.

What are you doing today to make sure that you have enough emergency food stored up for yourself and your family?

All righty, here we go.

So

we had Elon Omar.

Elon or Elon?

Has there been some love child between Elon Musk and Elon Omar?

I'm concerned.

Would you let me know what I mean?

Okay, sorry, Mr.

Hall of Fame.

In this speech this weekend, she promised to put Somalia first.

Here she is.

Oh, wait, stop, stop, stop.

I forgot.

This audience doesn't speak Somalian or whatever it is.

So let me just try.

Yeah, I completely forgot.

Let me translate.

Oh, there we go.

Many Somalians have personally called me to encourage me to speak to the U.S.

government to thwart the

MOU, I don't know what it is,

and help Somalia.

They wanted to know what the U.S.

government could do.

My answer to Somalians was: the U.S.

government will only do what Somalians in the U.S.

tell them to do.

They'll do what we want and nothing else.

They must follow our orders.

We Somalians must have confidence in the U.S.

We live in the U.S., we pay U.S.

taxes.

It's a country where one of our daughters, myself, blah, blah, blah.

She speaks quickly really fast.

This is the most efficient language.

Like, stop.

I can't go that fast.

I mean, we're going to need like Paul.

It's like the opposite of German, which is like,

and you're like,

he just said hello.

That's hello.

That's hello.

She said like five words, and it was like three paragraphs.

I know, I know.

That's an affectionate thing.

But you need to watch it.

We'll tweet it out.

You need to watch it, which brings me to...

The point of that was that she said, I'm going to be defending Somalia's interests, not the U.S.

What is the problem?

What's the problem with that?

I think there's a problem with it.

Yeah, I know.

I'm out of the limit.

You may not know that

Minnesota is now, we just call it Somalia.

It happened last night.

It's no big deal.

Get over it.

We change the flag.

We change the name.

What?

What's the problem?

Go with it.

Pretend that it's not.

Pretend nothing is happening.

What?

Oh, you people kill me.

Can I ask,

what's up with the changing of all the flags, our state flags?

And when did that become a thing?

I mean, I understood it when we had, you know, racism is neat on our state flags, but.

Welcome to the fusion

of entertainment and enlightenment.

This is the Glenn Beck program.

I'm gonna say something,

And I don't want you to be like, oh no, man, I cannot handle that kind of a party.

It's Monday.

I still have a headache.

A little hungover from the game yesterday.

Don't do it.

Don't do it.

Because I got a party animal coming up next.

An animal.

Yeah, you know who it is.

Mike Lee in 60 seconds.

Stand by.

You own a dog and you haven't watched him or her experience the joy of rough greens yet.

What are you waiting for?

Rough greens is really good for them and they love it.

I am convinced that Uno, my German shepherd, has had some of the best years of his life thanks to Rough Greens and I mean it sincerely.

It's not a dog food.

It's something you put on top of the food.

I just put it on there because they said he would eat his food, which he never does.

But then all of the benefits that, you know, are the actual things that they're trying to do with your dog kicks in and your dog changes.

It's amazing.

They have a special deal for you right now, Rough Greens, R-U-F Greens.com slash Beck.

You get the first trial bag free.

You just pay for shipping.

And if your dog likes it, then order some more.

And you would just watch the difference in your dog.

833-Glenn33-833-G-L-E-N-N33.

It's roughgreens.com slash Beck.

Now we've asked Mike Lee to tone it down just a little bit to come on the program and had to remind him that he is on an FCC regulated broadcast.

Senator Mike Lee, how are you, sir?

I'm doing great, and I'm a party animal, just as you described me to your guests.

Yeah, absolutely.

Yeah, it's almost uncomfortable when you say that.

So I'd request that you don't say party animal again.

I'll be careful.

I'll be careful.

So, Mike, I wanted to get you on because

nobody knows what's in this deal for the border.

And

I'd like to start there.

Isn't that a problem?

Well, yeah, it's especially a problem because we're already being told that Republican senators who dislike it

are just opposing it to score cheap political points at the expense of national security.

We're told that this is a huge win for us by such, you know, Republican allies as the Washington Post.

We're being told all across the spectrum, you know, from Chris Murphy to Kirsten Sinema.

that

this really is a clarion call for border security.

Now, as Chris Mursby had ever been on the cutting edge of those clamoring for border security over the years, perhaps this would be easier to take it seriously.

Really?

I haven't seen it.

I haven't seen them doing that.

But more importantly, Glenn, as you point out, I haven't seen the bill.

This is one of the most frustrating things in Washington, but I cannot emphasize enough that

the inflation is an idea.

I know you like old-timey America as much as I do.

but do you remember seeing those kineoscope reels where there were debates on the floor of the House and the Senate?

When did we stop doing those?

Was that 1940 or 1840?

When did we stop that?

Well, we subdued kineoscopes when we developed videotape, but that's a different story.

But yeah, look, as far as telling the truth through the news media and the entertainment media about what happens in Washington and trying to have a degree of objectivity.

It's hard to find these days

because it seems like so often those who are wanting to tell the story are wanting to tell it from one angle and not necessarily give the whole picture and not necessarily give a lot of detail in general.

And so that's kind of concerning.

And then it gets more concerning the more complex the bill gets.

This one that they're talking about is pretty darn complicated.

Now, why would it be?

I wrote one earlier today that you could please introduce it just says we will enforce all federal laws at all borders at all times and then just uh he could just sign that it doesn't seem like it has to be very complex um and include quote emergency powers

yeah i'm a little skeptical of giving emergency powers

yeah so um if if they were to pass the bill that you just wrote uh they would add air quotes or or real quotes

to all border and force emergency and powers.

And then that would leave it up to the executive branch to decide what exactly those things meant on that particular day.

The emergency powers one is especially concerning.

Anytime you grant emergency powers to exempt out or add to the powers that you are giving to the president, you run into a lot of problems, which is why Congress needs to start passing real legislation rather than just sort of platitudes.

Go ahead.

Well, look,

this is part and parcel of the problem with this bill.

It's been written in secret by two or three, maybe four people.

Nobody has seen it, and yet it seems like half the country, or at least close to half the Senate, is now saying, yes, I want to pass it.

And these are the people who haven't read it.

That's really scary, Glenn.

It doesn't make any sense at all.

There might be some good stuff in here.

They've only told us a few minor details about it, things they've told us about.

You know, some of them seem like they could do some good, but they're offset by the fact that

they also contain language,

other provisions that could be abused.

And we could confirm or refute how disturbing these things are if they'd give us the bill, but they won't give it to us.

So

what happens is they give it to us at the last minute and say you got to pass it.

And a lot of members call for that.

Don't.

Does this also, supposedly,

contain extra money for Ukraine?

Oh, yeah.

I mean, that's the whole point of it, Glenn.

The whole point of this bill, it's the supplemental appropriations bill.

First and foremost, it's there to appropriate or spend money.

Contains $106 billion that we're going to spend.

And of that $106 billion,

most of that is going to go to Ukraine.

Now, didn't Ukraine just this weekend announce that they're missing $40 billion that we gave them?

It all went to corruption in

the military and the government?

$40 million, $40 billion.

Who's watching, Glenn?

You know, this is where

you channel Evida.

Critics will claim a little of the cash has gone astray, but that's not the point, my friend.

Andrew Lloyd Weber had that right.

Just don't worry about the details.

Don't sweat it.

Okay.

Yeah, this is a problem.

And also included in that Ukraine money is $11.75 billion

that goes just to supporting the Ukrainian government.

Most of it to pay the salaries of the Ukrainian government civil servants and also pensions.

So this is just backfilling the probably what is the most significant cost of their government for an entire year.

Why does that make sense?

Now, I've asked some of my colleagues, why would we want to include that?

Still haven't seen text on this, by the way, but we're told that it's in there.

And my colleagues, to my astonishment, said, well, Mike,

it's expensive to be at war.

These guys are having a tough time.

Well, yeah,

no doubt.

I have no doubt about that.

But why is that our responsibility?

Look, we've given more military aid to Ukraine than any other country on Earth.

In fact, we've given more military aid to Ukraine through this conflict than every other nation on planet Earth combined.

Why is all of this our responsibility?

Well, it is ours when we make it ours and when we print the money to do so and others don't feel like doing it.

It's that simple.

Okay.

I assume there's a lot like you that will, if this bill comes out and contains all that stuff,

that you will stand against it.

Yes, absolutely.

Okay.

The question is how many we'll have.

And one of the things that I've been saying is that it's important for Republicans to remember that the Republican Party, the Republican Party in the Senate, we've got 49 of us.

Any subset of 41 of us could decide to hold this thing back and to make sure that it doesn't get any votes at all, at least until such time that we're promised we'll be given enough time to read it and enough time to amend it and vote on amendments.

We owe ourselves, each other, and the American people nothing less than that.

So let me switch gears.

We've had a nice, nice run here for a while with Iran after we gave them billions of dollars, said that they weren't really a threat.

They helped orchestrate.

We find out now with the help of the UN, the October 7th massacre,

and now

because they have been lobbying missiles or they've been using drones like this weekend, killed three of our people, injured another 25.

Now all the hawks are saying, we got to go in.

I, I, you know, Mike, you know me.

I'm fine with using military power when we can or should use military power.

I think it's ridiculous not, if somebody punches the United States in the face, I'm going to punch back and break your nose.

Don't do it again.

But this is not that kind of an administration.

We seem to be eager for war of some sort.

I don't think we're even choosy at this point.

Are we going to war?

There are certainly those in Washington clamoring for it, and a case could be made for that.

But let me tell you what is the biggest, most troubling thing to me right now.

You've got a lot of people in at least two different branches of the federal government who are saying, go hit them now, bomb, attack.

My copy of the Constitution says that Congress has to declare war.

The President can't just take us there on his own.

Now, no, I know, I know, it's true.

The President's Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces under Article II of the Constitution.

That's great, and that's clear.

But

the minute we're going to

undertake any kind of sustained attacks on foreign soil, as opposed to a discrete action, at one moment in order to repel an attack on us, on our people, on our personnel, for example.

It goes beyond that, where you're repelling, immediately responding to an attack in motion.

But again, it's you really do need an authorization for the use of military force from Congress.

Right.

And the people who should be making that case are the ones calling for the president to do something.

I mean, it's amazing.

You know, September, sorry, December 7th, 1941, the very next morning, the president was at the Capitol making the speech, December 7th, 1941, a day who shall live in infamy.

He gave that speech to a joint session so they could go back into their chambers, debate, and vote for war, yes or no.

I mean, that's right.

That's right.

And you didn't have members of Congress out there saying,

attack, attack, attack, with silence by the president.

In some ways, we've got the worst of all worlds.

You know,

it'd be helpful to have the president saying to come.

They finally did it.

They finally got him.

They took him out.

Finally silenced.

Oh, yeah, you know who did it.

I know who did it.

You know who did it.

Oh, those people that control the world, you know, just behind the curtain.

Yeah.

You're thinking what I'm thinking.

Well, enough party time anyway with Mike.

He is.

He gets obnoxious at times.

It's like, oh, is he back on?

We have more party time with Mike.

Mike?

Yeah.

Yeah, so

we lost you.

I think the NSA didn't like what I was saying.

Yeah, I have a feeling.

So you were just saying we have the worst of both worlds now.

And I would go back.

You know the temperature in the rooms more than I do.

Are we going to war?

I think there is a possibility of that, but it is very difficult to predict how Congress will react when

the question is finally put before Congress.

And Congress actually has to have the debates.

We typically will bring in

experts from the Pentagon, the CIA, from the

State Department, other places where people study these things and give us analyses about what the war would look like, what the strategy would be.

what the cost would be in terms of both blood and treasure, and

other considerations and at that point we make a decision but you know there was a time back in 2013 I believe when President Obama decided at the time I think we should go to war in Syria and to his credit he did the right thing and he said I think Congress should come back and Congress should consider the matter and if it agrees with me

then we should have an AUMF on Syria.

We came back to Washington because we were in recess, we were in recess at the time, and we studied

the matter quite thoroughly.

At the end of that,

it was quite a consensus among and between members of Congress that this was not our war.

This is not a time for us to go to war.

And so that's why I'm cautious in predicting where it's going to go.

If we do this the right way, it's very difficult to predict because war ought to be a steadied, careful analysis.

I understand what happened in 1941, and that made sense for them to do it as quickly as they did.

That given what was at stake there, given the fact that Pearl Harbor had been an attack

on a U.S.

territory, a very, very big one, no less.

And I don't mean to minimize attacks that have been sustained on U.S.

forces in recent weeks, but you've got to consider every circumstance differently.

And I think there is a possibility of war here.

But if we're going to do it, we've got to do it the right way.

Mike Lee, as always, thank you, sir.

God bless you.

Appreciate him.

Thank you.

You bet.

All right.

Let me tell you about our sponsor this half hour.

It is RealEstateAgentsITrust.com.

You know, some of the things that you do in life, you can be like, ah, whatever.

You know, you're buying your ticket at the movie theater from somebody who doesn't seem all that qualified.

It's okay.

I know eventually I'm going to get in at some point and see the movie.

When it comes to real estate, no, not one of those, uh-uh.

I really want to know who they are.

A number of years ago, I got fed up with the follower types

and

looking for the leaders in the industry, somebody who could actually, that knew what they were doing.

I started working with the 50 best real estate agents in the country, 50 or 500, I can't remember, 500 most best real estate members in the country.

This was judged by the Wall Street Journal.

And I went to work with them and I was doing some work for them and I learned a lot.

The best practices, somebody who understands the housing market, really understands.

Somebody understands the ebb and flow of it.

Somebody who's a team leader, somebody who's a closer, somebody who has a huge Rolodex.

Why they have a Rolodex, I don't know, but they should put them in the phone.

Somebody who has access to the people you need to help get your house ready to sell.

Real Estate AgentsITrust.com is the company that I put together.

It's something where you just tell us where you're buying or selling, cross the street, cross the country, doesn't matter.

We'll help you find the right real estate agent.

We have about,

I think it's a couple of thousand now that we work with.

They've been fully vetted.

We monitor them.

They don't work for us.

We don't charge you to pass this information on.

We just want you to find the right person.

Realestateagents I trust.com.

10 seconds, station ID.

You know, so I asked Stu earlier

this morning about

do, is anybody paying attention?

Is anybody paying attention?

And the reason why I ask is because I didn't hear a lot of people here in Texas talking about,

hey, this is getting a little kind of spooky, right?

I mean, are we okay?

I didn't hear any talk of that.

And I think it's good if you're like, you want to be a healthy individual and just like, hey, I'm not doing anything.

I'm going to just pay attention to football and have a good time with my family.

As long as you also are keeping an eye on things that are going on.

But I'm not sure anybody is doing that.

And

when you miss that, for instance, everybody's like, well, we got to go to war.

Okay, okay, okay.

With this president,

remember, Afghanistan, all of the, yeah, this president, the guy who's like, I don't know, even know, is he back in office, the Secretary of Defense?

Is he, I don't know, is he on another sick leave?

Maybe he's on vacation.

I don't know who's running the Pentagon even.

But

you miss, when you think just about that, you miss, oh, wait a minute, what was that with the border?

Oh, yeah,

we've got all kinds of people coming across.

Certainly, there's nobody from Iran,

you know, or anybody from, you know, the

Muslim terrorist groups all around the Middle East that just happen to slip in, right?

What happens?

You pound Iran and you have open borders.

What happens to our country?

We're not prepared for another terrorist attack, a devastating attack.

What do you think is going to happen?

This is why we have to pay attention to all of it, but we can't live our lives based around it.

We have to, you know, prepare prepare for the worst and hope for the best and know that Jesus is coming and he's going to work it all out anyway.

We just have to do the next right thing.

Just do the next right thing.

I can't tell you how many people have.

What do we do?

What do we do?

What do we do?

Well, first, let's stop looking for a Messiah in Washington.

I don't know.

I mean, it'd be nice, you know, if he showed up and he ran, but I don't think he's on the ballot this time.

And so let's stop trying to get all of our answers from Washington.

Let's do our best to get the right person in.

Let's do our best to win at the election booth.

We have to.

So we do everything we can there.

And then the rest of it, we keep paying attention.

We do our part, but you know, Jesus has got to play a role in this a little bit.

Are we even humble enough to have,

you know, because when you act as though,

I got this, I can do this on my own, he tends to let you do that

until you go, okay, okay, okay, okay, I learned my lesson.

Have we backed up at all and said, okay, okay, okay,

because we're acting still as if we got this, we know what we're doing, we don't need him,

and he's letting us.

All right,

back in just a minute,

Glenn Beck.

You'll save 30 bucks.

Hey, let's not forget our American hostages still in Gaza, 115 days

held

in Gaza.

We welcome Jason Buttrill, who is with us.

He's our chief researcher and head writer of the television program.

And

he's here to talk about going on

the trucker convoy later this week, and we'll talk about that.

Man of the people.

That's the people who lost Jason.

You lost a lot of money this weekend.

Why'd you bring that up?

I was not prepared for that at all.

I'm still shocked from the amount of money I lost last night.

I don't think I'm alone at this table in that, though, Stu.

I actually did well in the games yesterday.

I did get the Kansas City game wrong.

I did think Baltimore was going to win.

But I did think San Francisco, I was sure San Francisco was going to win.

And so I went big on the San Francisco game and was

fully thrilled to lose that money.

I wanted Detroit to win that game so badly, but I was sure San Francisco was winning.

And then, of course, San Francisco comes back.

Can I tell you, I mean, I know I still have training wheels on, okay?

But my son, for the last three years, has been getting me into football.

So I'm into football.

All I wanted was Kansas City to win.

Don't ever, don't ever go against Big Red because he'll take you down.

Andy Reed.

He moves slowly, but you think, oh, nothing's going to happen.

He'll crush crush you.

Your Tampa listeners are giving you a little bit of a question mark on that one.

Shut up, everyone.

So anyway, all I wanted was, I wanted the Chiefs to win, and I wanted

the Lions to win.

Chiefs and Lions were both.

I'm in a great way.

My son, he's a Chiefs fan.

I'm a Chiefs fan.

And

geez, the Lions not being in since, what, 58?

That would have been such a great game.

Pre-Super Bowl era.

They're the only team that's been around the entire Super Bowl era that has never made it.

And they had it.

I mean, and all the stupid plays, like the questionable calls by the coach, the ridiculous bounces, the dropped passes.

I mean, 7,500 things had to go San Francisco's way for that to happen.

And of course it did.

Yeah.

And look,

they had bad luck last year in the playoffs.

So this should replace that bad luck, plus the next century or so of whatever potential bad luck they might get.

But that was unbelievable.

Can I point out, there's like, you know, a small culture within American society that actually believes that the moon landings were fake.

Now, if you don't, if you don't want that to be true,

you don't like, I don't know, do something like have the Kansas City Chiefs get into the Super Bowl for a second time and prove right the people that think that the NFL is scripted.

I know it's not.

It is not scripted by the NFL.

It is scripted by Taylor Swinte.

Taylor Swinte, yes.

You see what I mean?

I thought you were going to say, because Andy Reid, it was scripted by God.

No,

indirectly, play by play.

You know, the whole thing.

It's like, I heard so much about this this weekend of this controversy that I guess went viral on the internet over the past week or so, that the colors of the Super Bowl logo like predicted the game.

And I heard that in the entire lead up that it was fake.

It's fake.

It's scripted.

Look at this.

And then they get in, and it doesn't play out this year because then Kansas City wins.

And then it's scripted because Kansas City won.

Like,

no matter what, there's a controversy.

There is a conspiracy that proves everything.

And the same people who told me it was the logo last week are telling me it's Taylor Swift this week.

How about the fact that Patrick Mahomes is good?

He's pretty good.

I can do it.

He's pretty freaking good.

So is the guy from, sorry, so is number eight from the Ravens.

That was, he had a couple of amazing, where they hit the ball out of his hand and catch it.

That was amazing.

Lamar Jackson.

Yeah.

He's going to win the MVP this year.

I think I could write the most amazing Glenn Beck chalkboard on how the NFL is scripted to get the Kansas City Chiefs in and all our ownership.

This is not accomplished.

This is the work, the fine work Glenn has done over the years.

Please don't tell me that's absolutely factual.

Absolutely factual.

Let's do it.

Okay.

All right.

I want to talk about the trucker convoy.

Yeah.

Because I think the truckers made such a huge difference in Canada.

Oh, yeah.

And they were

in Canada.

So they had the Canadian news 100% against them,

100% for

the government.

You have that here.

But you also had the government,

all of the government employees, all of the police, everybody was against them.

In this case, at least in Texas, in this case, the truckers will have the support, not that they're going to help them, but if there is an infiltrator or something, you can trust the police, I hope, to be able to say, hey, bad guy, bad actor.

And that's different than condemning everybody.

Are these guys, they're going into this fully knowing that they are walking into a, it's a crap.

If there was a fish face guy around, you'd know it.

It appears that they're fully like aware that

that is a big-time concern.

And it sounds like they are onto those concerns.

It's interesting, though, you brought up Canada.

I was just listening to a video from Douglas Murray, the British author.

And he was, he's great.

And he was laying out exactly what you just laid out.

Like he was saying kind of funny, you know, there's nothing interesting about Canada.

There's nothing.

When did they become interesting?

During that protest, during that convoy.

And the entire Canadian media was against them.

They're government-funded, most of them.

But they could have solved the issue right there.

They could have found out if they're provocateurs.

They could have found out what they're really about, if they're white supremacists, Christian nationals, whatever.

Anti-Semitic, I think at one point was what they were calling them.

It was insane.

But the media could have found out on day one if they just would have talked to them.

Just talk to them.

But they won't.

They won't do it.

They won't.

I mean, it's, it's absolutely nuts.

That's why we're sending you.

Exactly.

But we're sending you in a professional capacity.

You're not going to, you know, support or anything else.

We're going there to document because we see how important documentation turned out to be on January 6th.

Crucial.

Crucial.

So we want you there.

And who have you talked to?

so far?

Can you say?

We haven't really talked to anybody.

I mean,

we've gotten in in touch with the...

So are you jumping on somebody's truck or are you taking your own?

I think we're going to be in a very, very stylish minivan, you know, riding amongst the big rigs, which was going to make me, my street crad is going to go way up the moment from where it is.

And if things get dicey, do what Griswold did when he drove the car underneath that truck.

Yeah, W.

Griswold?

Yeah.

You got to do that.

But I think that what we're doing the whole the plan is just to go and talk to these people and to find out what they're really all about.

Why are you here?

Do the things that didn't happen on other protests, like January 6th.

Just go and ask them.

There were definitely some provocateurs in January 6th.

There were some bad people, but there were also thousands that didn't have anything to do with them.

Correct.

But they were also, they ended up afterwards being targeted by the DOJ.

I know.

So we want to go talk to them.

Yeah, I think this seems like it is organic.

You know, as I said on January 6th,

no, I had no good feelings on that one.

I was like, don't go, don't go, don't go.

And this one, I just have cautious feelings on please, if you're going, know who you're standing next to.

Right.

Have your cell phone ready to tape.

You know, remember, fed, fed, fed, that happened with Ray Epps.

If we wouldn't have had that footage, Ray Epps would have been nowhere.

It would have been nowhere.

And all that footage was from secondhand like cell phone cameras.

I know.

That's the vast majority today.

Everything else is pretty much being, you know, not, it's not being disclosed to the public.

They're still holding on to a lot of this stuff.

That cannot happen in a society with all the media that we have.

It just cannot happen.

And we know, even, even now, I saw the narratives all over the place.

I think there was a Wired magazine.

There was a Vice magazine.

There was, you know, the top headlines are Christian Nationalists, you know, Army of God.

Who knows what else?

That will be the narrative that's ran unless people go down there and just talk to these people.

Find out what they're all about.

Find out what they're worried about.

Find out what they really want.

So you'll be doing that with them

starting on Wednesday, I think.

Yep.

And so we'll check in with you

as you go down to the border.

They're supposed to be down there.

Was it Saturday?

Yes.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So we're going to do a Blaseyby's going to do a full piece on it that will come out pretty soon.

They're going to try to get it out as fast as they can, but also check in on my social media, check in on the radio show, and we'll provide additional updates.

Stay safe.

Try to convince them not to go to Austin.

I know they're stopping everywhere.

Austin, I mean, you know, why don't you just swing by Portland as well?

Austin is Texas Portland.

And I'm concerned for them, but just we're praying.

And we're praying that they have extra vision to see anybody who is an infiltrator, anybody who wants to cause trouble, and they are ejected from the good people that just want to take a stand.

I don't know know if you heard,

but our attorney general here in Texas, I asked him about it and he said, oh, I think anything that shuts that border down, I welcomed them.

And he knew who they were, you know,

good people.

So, all right, thank you very much.

We'll check back with you in probably maybe tomorrow.

I'd like to talk to, see if we can get one of the leaders on the phone and just talk to them and get a sense of who they are.

We'll try to do that tomorrow.

First, let me tell you about the Berna launcher.

You and your family's safety matters.

And I believe having options

is important when it comes to protecting them.

I carry a gun.

My daughter, she hates guns.

She won't have anything to do with guns.

I bought her a Berna launcher.

It's not a gun.

It looks like a gun.

But this is legal in all 50 states.

It doesn't require any permit, any background check.

It can be used by all ages over 18, and it has powerful deterrence in it.

For instance, tear gas and kinetic rounds.

60-foot range.

One shot can incapacitate an attacker for up to 40 minutes.

Government agencies, law enforcements are using these all around the country.

This is so much better for them, so much better than a taser.

It is so much better than pepper spray.

This is tear gas.

I want to just play a couple of things as we talk about our border.

Oh, speaking of the border, Glenn, in about eight minutes, debuting on YouTube, a brand new bit from Studios America, mocking our sanctuary cities.

I think people will like it.

So go there to go to youtube.com slash studios america.

Check it out.

It's debuting in, I don't know, 10 minutes.

Why wouldn't you premiere it on this show?

Which show?

this one word we're on right now well it's a it's a piece of video so i would say at some level it's not necessarily specifically designed for radio but i will say seeing that that's where you get the lion's share of your money why don't you i mean you know once in a while no most of that i get from embezzlement yeah from the company

that's that the lion's share so anyway so anyway uh as we're talking about the border and uh border security You know how everybody is very upset at Israel for having a border wall because how dare you treat Palestinians like that?

It's an open-air prison, you know.

Yeah, it's an open-air prison.

Let me show you the southern border that goes with Egypt.

Okay.

Can you describe that open?

Is it wide open?

No.

Can you describe that, Stu?

I've never seen anything quite like that.

It is a 25-foot, 30-foot wall with multiple layers of barbed wire.

Razor wire.

Razor wire.

Another...

Vehicle barrier before it.

Yeah, it looks like it's all made out of steel with several layers of razor wire on it.

And that's the Gaza.

That's the border of Egypt and Gaza that

it's interesting because I was told it was an open-air prison, but yet I looked at the map and a good chunk of the border is not with Israel.

Yeah.

So isn't that weird?

It would be interesting.

Like,

what is that other border like?

And then we just see it.

It looks like that.

Shocking.

Yeah, so we have that.

It probably doesn't work, though, Glenn.

Probably people crossing all the time.

You don't think so?

Probably.

Yeah.

Walls don't work.

Okay.

So we have that.

We also have Jean-Pierre this weekend.

Karine.

Jean-Pierre.

She is, she's wonderful, and here's what she had to say about the loss of life

due to Iran.

What I will say, our deepest, obviously our deepest condolences go out and our heartfelt condolences go out to the families who lost three brave

three folks who

who are military folks, who are brave, who are always fighting, who are fighting on behalf of this administration, of the American people, obviously, more so, more importantly, we lost those souls.

Wow, so they're three.

They're three something.

They're three folks.

And they're okay, they're folks.

They're brave.

They're very,

very, very brave, brave, brave folks who have lost their lives, three of them.

Fighting.

Fighting.

They're always fighting.

They're always fighting.

Yeah, that's the problem.

I tell them all the time: stop your fighting, stop the bickering.

And they didn't, but they're very brave, and they're fighting for this administration.

And other things that are important.

Right, like the American people, more importantly.

Or like the Constitution.

Which one?

Okay.

All right.

Now, my understanding of the U.S.

military is not that they're fighting on behalf of the Biden administration.

Oh, no.

That's not.

Nor the Trump administration.

No, nor any

administration in history.

You know what makes ours different?

Is it civilian-led.

Okay.

Okay, that's that's interesting.

I didn't know that.

It is very, very, very strange.

She is terrible.

Terrible at this.

You know what?

Here's what's great.

You know, I've always said, you know, when this, all this stuff started and you were teaching your kids that there's no score in games,

you know,

I just said that someday my kid will be going through to, you know, get a...

you know, a milkshake or something, and your kid will say,

what else would you like with that, sir?

And I said, That's totally fine.

This is what we've done to the country.

There's total incompetence, total incompetence on all levels.

And

shocking,

as I said at some point as a joke, you know, when the airplanes start to fall from the skies, maybe we'll wake up.

And they're falling from the skies.

And we're not waking up.

No, it's fascinating.

It seems like such an opportunity for a competent party to be able to take advantage of the fact that your opponents are continually promoting people who don't know how to do their jobs based on their skin color should be an advantage for you.

You know, like I, but they can't seem to find any advantage in it.

Well, that's because they picked the wrong person of color in the

White House now.

They have, you know, they had Kamala in there.

She's turned out to be, you know, hey, maybe we should look at the content of character and, you know, what's going on upstairs.

She's incompetent,

but they're going to correct that.

I stand by Michelle Obama.

Stand by it.

And that is a prediction of truth?

Like, you think that's going to happen or it's going to happen?

They're going to have serious conversations.

I think that's going to happen.

I think he's going to bail out.

There'll have to be a scramble there at the finish line.

And you can't have Kamala run.

We need somebody that everybody knows and loves.

Ladies and gentlemen, Michelle Obama.

And it will be a fifth Obama term.

Man, we really need a fifth and a sixth, don't we?

Yeah.

Wait, fifth.

Wait.

Oh, wait.

No.

So Obama 1-2.

It's five when it's

four and five at the end.

Oh, gosh.

Then I think Joe Biden runs for the sixth.

Comes back

program.
