Is Biden the Stable Leadership You Voted For? Guest: Sasha Stone | 9/19/22

2h 6m
Glenn debunks President Biden's misleading statements on inflation during his "60 Minutes" special and warns of the coming economic crisis already forming overseas. As the threat of nuclear war by Vladimir Putin continues to grow, the arrogant leadership of Biden puts America in greater danger. Glenn dives more into the upcoming economic collapse and the collapse of the American dollar due to the Biden administration's actions. Glenn talks to Sasha Stone, a lifelong Democrat who campaigned for Joe Biden, as she shares why she no longer supports the current president. Stu looks into the latest polling numbers as the midterms get closer. Glenn and Stu discuss the Republican-led Convention of States and where they stand in supporting the effort.

Got no room but a compromise.

The earth came together, it's a girl's a night.

Standing straight in a full night,

it's a whole new day I'm tired of rise.

What you are about to hear is the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.

This is the Glenn Glenn Back program.

Hello, America.

If you are a new listener to this program,

we are...

we want you to know we are not trying to divide with our words.

We are trying to unite, but unite under truth.

Not new schemes, new ideas.

Perhaps a few will come our way, but we'll discuss them.

When, in our country did we think it was okay

for people that were sexually attracted to children?

When did we think that that was

just

a lifestyle choice and not out and out evil?

When did we ever think that men could become pregnant?

It's not true.

When did we think four million people coming across our our border was the definition of a secure border?

Especially when Venezuela, you probably didn't hear this in the news anywhere, Venezuela opened up their prisons and are sending them north to our border in America.

How about when did we think the highest inflation rate

in 40 years

was status quo?

Basically flat.

So, I mean, we got to put that in perspective.

We never have.

You can find the truth

by

listening to people who say, do your own homework, check it out.

I invite you to listen to all sides.

When someone says, don't listen to the other side, they don't have the truth on their side.

So, if this is new to you, welcome.

I invite you to explore truth with us in 60 seconds.

Phyllis wrote in about her experience with Relief Factor.

She said, I've had back problems my whole life, but I never felt so

comfortable as I do now.

Before, just sitting still for any length of time would make me feel stiff as a board.

Now I can garden and do everything I love without being terrified of how much pain I'll be in later in the day.

Can't tell you how much Relief Factor has improved my happiness and my quality of life.

Phyllis, thank you so much for writing in, and I'm glad that you are part of that 70% of the people who try Relief Factor and get their life back.

Try the three-week quick start developed for you at $19.99.

It's a dollar a day.

All you have to do is take it as directed.

Try it for three weeks.

If nothing is working, it's probably not going to work for you.

But 70% of the people are just like Phyllis.

1-800, the number

relief.

1-800-4 Relief.

Or ReliefFactor.com.

Feel the difference.

So last night, our president was

on television on 60 Minutes, and it was an amazing softball game.

But the president announced a couple of things.

The pandemic is over.

You know, he's...

I know.

Did you know that?

I didn't.

Pandemic's over.

I was surprised to hear that.

I mean, I've been saying it for a long time.

I know you have as well.

Yeah.

But I'm surprised to hear the president saying it.

He also said he vows to get in control of inflation, but inflation is basically even.

Here's cut four, please.

Mr.

President, as you know, last Tuesday, the annual inflation rate came in at 8.3%.

The stock market nosedived.

People are shocked by their grocery bills.

What can you do better and faster?

Well, first of all, let's put this in perspective.

Inflation rate month to month was just

an inch.

Stop.

Hardly at all.

Stop right there.

Month to month is not how you measure inflation.

He knows this.

It's not 8.2 to 8.2 month to month, meaning it's flat.

It is 8.2%

higher

than last,

what, September or August?

last August a year ago so remember the high inflation that we all had and we're like whoa prices are out of control it's up another

8.2 percent it's not flat

to an annualized rate gosh these people the the lies

i don't know how they sleep at night all right here you go next oh you're not arguing that 8.3 is good news no i'm not saying it is good news but it was 8.2 or 8.2 before i mean it's not you maybe I can make it sound like all of a sudden, my God, it went to 8.2%.

It's the highest inflation rate, Mr.

President, in 40 years.

I got that.

But guess what we are?

We're in a position where for the last several months, it hasn't spiked.

It has just barely, it's been basically even.

This is incredible.

He's basically arguing the fact that the inflation has hit the American people for a longer period of time is good news.

Like, hey, you've dealt with this terrible problem for six months or 12 months, not just the one.

So therefore, you shouldn't worry about it.

Like, no, the problem is existing and it has peaked and we've stayed right near the peak here for month after month after month after month.

That just keeps hitting families over and over and over again.

If it was just a one-month spike and it went away, that wouldn't be that big of a problem.

The problem is that it's going on for now a year or more, and he has seemingly no way of controlling it.

Okay.

He went on to talk about gas prices.

Look, core inflation, and you know this, I don't have to say this.

If somebody needs to do their own homework, just go grocery shopping.

Go grocery shopping.

What were you paying last year?

What were you paying two years ago?

The prices are through the roof.

Now, gasoline has come down off of its five-year high.

Why?

Because gasoline, he has been draining our strategic oil reserves.

Do we still have that chart I showed last week?

Stu hasn't seen it yet.

This is amazing.

Our oil reserves are on a reverse hockey.

It is just plummeting down.

And what are we going to do?

We are getting rid of our strategic oil reserves for what?

An election.

That's why.

Now,

Energy crisis in Europe is going to spread here because it's not just what Russia is doing.

That's not the only problem.

The problem is they are ahead of us on all this ESG stuff.

I told you last week and I've always told you that I'm bad at timing

and I am.

I mean this time I was three days ahead.

I couldn't believe it when I opened up the paper on Saturday and I'm reading about how

Germany is now nationalizing three of their power plants.

I told you nationalization would come.

Nationalization will come here as well.

And then we become Venezuela.

What's going to happen is these energy prices are not going to be affordable by any stretch of the imagination.

They're already going through this in England, but England right now is so focused and the media is so focused on, can we put the poor woman into the ground, please?

But they're so focused on all of this.

And I don't know if the media will ever tell you what's really going on, but they're now talking about printing at the central bank, the Bank of London or of England.

They're now talking about more money printing because they don't have the money in their coffers to be able to pay for everybody's electric bills because they've promised they would pay anything over 2,500 pounds a month.

Well so that's just going to drive inflation in the UK through the roof.

It will devalue their British pound

and it will force them to nationalize these companies because these companies will not be able to deal with the price caps.

And so the government will say, see, they can't do it.

The free market just doesn't work.

And they will nationalize.

This is coming.

It's coming here.

By the way, something else you probably didn't know is last week Putin met with President Z.

President Z,

they are meeting about a new currency.

I have told you for 20 years:

the currency will be debased.

It is.

That's why we have inflation.

Our currency is being debased.

So

what do you do about it?

Everybody told me, Glenn, it's never going to crash.

We're the best out there, everybody else's currency.

And I've said for 20 years.

Do you really believe that no one at any time will draw a line in the sand and say enough is enough?

We can do better than this.

That's exactly what China, Russia, and the BRIC countries are doing right now.

Developing a new currency.

That will put us into a tailspin.

And our government knows it, but they're not telling you.

Why else would they be talking about a digital currency?

The White House, in surprise of all surprises, has come out this weekend and said we recommend the Fed goes to a new digital currency a new digital dollar why

because the dollar is going to collapse

I I urge you not to take anything that I have just said as gospel look it all up yourself

it is critical that you know the truth and you know how to find the truth.

The best way to find the truth, the best starting place is

who's telling you

you have to listen to me because I have the truth or I have quote the science and you will not be allowed to question anything.

Any question of what I believe is true makes you my enemy.

Anyone who tells you that

does not have the truth on their side.

That's the first test.

Then you have to go and explore all sides.

And I urge you and your neighbors and your friends to do that.

Time

is

becoming

critical.

So the White House has said now that they're going to create, they recommend creating a new digital dollar.

We told you they were going to do that, what, a year ago, year and a half ago, because it has already been done.

I think it's called the Madison Project or Hamilton, probably the Hamilton Project up in at MIT.

Do you remember, Stu?

It's been a while since we've talked about this.

But now they are releasing their first ever comprehensive framework for responsible development of digital assets.

And

Biden also said this, and I'm going to play this and then I want to take a break and comment on it because

when you are redesigning a world,

and there are several people doing that now, everybody who is

a globalist is doing that.

They're dividing up the world and taking their own positions and hunkering down.

We unfortunately are on the receiving end of China.

Now, China,

do they have

the will?

Yes.

Do they have the people?

Yes.

Do they have the money?

No, but neither do we.

But we are on a collision course now with China.

And I'll give you the update on that.

But first, let me play what Joe Biden said yesterday, cut one.

If there's a one China policy, that Taiwan makes their own judgments about their independence.

We are not moving, we're not encouraging their being independent.

That's their decision.

But would U.S.

forces defend the island?

Yes, if in fact there was an unprecedented attack

after our interview, a White House official told us U.S.

policy has not changed.

Officially, the U.S.

will not say whether American forces would defend Taiwan.

But the Commander-in-Chief had a view of his own.

So unlike Ukraine, to be clear, sir, U.S.

forces, U.S.

men and women, would defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion.

Yes.

Is that the stable leadership you voted for?

Back in 60 seconds.

How often do you find yourself going through the motions motions when it comes to feeding your dog?

Bowl empty, grab the old bag of kibble, just fill her up.

But what have you been giving your dog a much better, much healthier, much happier life just by altering the way you feed him or her just a little bit?

Because when it comes to rough greens, a little bit goes a long way to doing just that.

Rough greens is not a dog food.

It's a supplement developed by naturopathic Dr.

Dennis Black that you sprinkle on the dog's food.

And it's got everything in it that's really good for you and the dog.

Minerals, probiotics, antioxidants, you name it.

If it's healthy for your dog, it's probably in Rough Greens.

Most dogs love it and go crazy for it.

I know Uno, my dogs love, love Rough Greens.

I hear the bowl knock against the counter and slide across the floor as they lick the bowl clean.

Uno's never done that.

The folks at Rough Greens are so confident your dog is going to love it, but they don't want you to be out any money in case your dog doesn't.

They're going to send you a free bag, just a little sample bag for your dog to try.

So, just all you do is pay for the shipping and get the sample bag.

If your dog likes it, then order the bag and start watching the difference over the coming months.

It is remarkable what it has done for every dog and every dog owner that I know.

So

in the same interview, in the same interview last night on 60 Minutes, the president warned Putin not to launch a nuke, not to use any kind of nuclear weapon.

I don't know about you, but um why are we even worried about this?

Why is this happening to us?

We we weren't at nuclear brinksmanship with Russia four years ago, two and a half years ago.

It wasn't happening.

None of us had even thought about nuclear weapons.

It's getting more and more serious every day, and we're backing Putin in a corner.

So what would our response be?

President won't say.

I worry

that this president

is arrogant.

Very, very arrogant.

And I also worry that his trusted advisors the ones who gave us the incredible butt-kicking in Afghanistan are the same same advisors who were never disciplined for that.

Same advisors that would advise him what to do if Putin would use

a tactical nuke.

By the way, in our show prep today, there is a doomsday scenario that is done by, I think it's Princeton University, a simulated war on

what would happen

if Russia used a tactical nuke or a small nuke anywhere.

It's called Plan A.

I urge you to watch it.

You can get it in my newsletter today.

Sign up at Glenbeck.com.

It's free, but it's in my newsletter.

It is

War Games.

We saw,

shall we play a game?

No, let's not.

Let's not play a game.

But we are back to that line.

And now, China,

if we would get into a war in Europe and with China over Taiwan, there is no winning that.

There is no winning.

And I have news for you.

There's no money for that.

I just pray

that

this November enough people understand what's going on.

Anyone who is saying to themselves, oh, my vote doesn't count, anyone that says, oh, well, you know what?

What's the difference?

There's a huge difference.

You have to do everything

you can

that is legal, moral, ethical.

You have to do everything you can

to stop the

trajectory of this suicide vest.

It's being strapped to all of our chests.

And I don't believe that Democrats, our good Democratic friends and neighbors,

I don't believe that this is the direction they think is good.

Most Americans don't want the country to self-destruct.

They don't.

The reason why they have

hardened their positions, many, but that is starting to crack,

is because just like you, they've been fearful.

They're afraid of the other side.

But they get the constant drumbeat from all sources of media about how dangerous the is.

Look, America, we are not enemies of each other.

We are being made enemies of each other.

I have to assume, like most people, you're probably looking for financial peace of mind.

I mean, I don't know anybody who knows what to do right now, except save money.

You want to get away from high-interest debt, credit card fees, as you possibly can, as fast as you can.

That's not easy to do, especially if you're already dealing with things day in and day out.

You need someone on your side, somebody who can help you navigate the tricky stuff.

And the good news is that's where American financing comes in.

Whether it's refinancing your mortgage for a lower fixed rate, providing other types of loans, even just helping you find ways to raise your credit score, which is incredibly important right now.

American Financing will see you through.

Don't take my word for it.

This

is the Glen Beck program.

I think my job

for you right now is

not only to warn you, but also

to

be a special witness of truth.

And I urge you to become one as well.

People are

being lied to.

And if you think of like, if you can think in

Christian Christianity terms,

you know, you have somebody testifying.

I'm going to testify to the truth.

And when several people begin saying it, then it feels like the truth, but it can still be be lies.

It can be lies if they're coordinating with each other.

The media is a special witness to lies.

They are truly lying to all of us,

not just in what they omit, but also in what they do report.

It's a lie.

Last night, 60 minutes, that was a lie of omission.

They didn't ask and press

the questions to the president.

They didn't really question him like they would have any other president, especially a Republican.

Doesn't have to be Donald Trump.

They're omitting

truth.

My job is to try to tell you the truth as I understand it and then encourage you to go out and find other sources and even look at my sources.

Where am I getting these things?

You for the first time, I have made all of my show prep available to everyone in this audience.

It is absolutely free.

You sign up for it.

It'll be delivered in your email box every single morning.

You can look at all of the things that I talk about and the things that are informing me

because there's about 50 stories.

It is the, I think, the

best news hit.

If you are looking for what's coming our way and you want to be truly informed, I think it is,

I think it's the best out there.

But

you decide.

What's happening is, Stu and I were talking off the air because we were watching this

video of

doomsday scenarios,

the simulation

of nuclear war between the United States and Russia.

And it was done by Princeton University at their Nuke Labs.

And it is terrifying.

It's terrifying because

we all know how it ends.

You know, this is, again, go back to Matthew Brodwick when he was 12 and war games.

We know how this game ends.

But who's going to step in and say, guys, guys, guys?

and I am convinced that most people

whether they

whether they will verbalize it or even know it yet but most people will know at some point that our argument is not with each other

It is with the elites and

the people who are all in power all over the world that are not listening to their own people.

Do you want this with Russia?

Do the Russian people want this with the United States?

The answer is no.

Do the Ukrainians want this?

Did the Russians want this?

No.

The elites wanted it.

Do you want the energy crisis?

No.

Europe?

No.

I could make a case that Russia does.

We are not each other's enemies,

but somebody has to, and this is like this with everything, as you're watching this

nuclear scenario unfold.

And again, I urge you to get it.

You can get it at Glennbeck.com.

Just sign up for the newsletter.

It's free.

But as you're watching that, think

that's not just nukes

in a scenario with Russia, the United States, and Ukraine.

That's not just that.

That's everything right now.

Let me give the left a way to connect to this.

I can't say the left.

The left is beyond hope.

The Democrats who voted for Joe Biden because they thought he would be reasonable.

So let me ask you this, and I'll give you a way to connect.

Let's say the first tactical strike, that everything was fine and there wasn't anybody yelling at each other and we were on the right track until Donald Trump launched a tactical weapon, a nuke, on January 6th.

Let's just say that's how it all started because it doesn't matter how it started.

What was the response?

The response from the left was to then launch a tactical nuke and start rounding people up, holding them without a trial for almost two

years.

That's unprecedented in American history.

That you'd have to go to what, the Japanese internment camps before you start to get that kind of stuff?

Two years.

And then turning the country against itself.

The next tactical nuke

was the raid on Donald Trump's Mar-Lago and what we're seeing there.

Okay,

then another one right after that, and the blood-red speech from Joe Biden in Philadelphia.

Those were tactical

nukes placed right into half of the country's heart.

Well,

they want a response, I'm convinced.

They want us to respond in kind.

This is where a hotline would be helpful, but there isn't anybody that wants a hotline.

There isn't anybody to call on the other side and go, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, how do we de-escalate this?

It's going to be the people because the powers, they're fine with it.

They want it.

They need it.

They need it because then they have something to blame the collapse of the dollar on.

They have a way that something is bigger than the collapse of

our entire economy.

They'll have a narrative.

I don't want that.

I don't want the collapse of the economy.

And I don't think my neighbors that might have voted for Joe Biden wanted that either.

Because the ones I spoke to said, look, he's just,

it's Joe Biden.

What is he going to do?

And no matter how many times I said, it's not him.

It's the people around him.

They didn't hear it.

But I believe they are waking up.

And we need to welcome them.

And here's something really important.

They're not turning conservative.

I heard somebody ask me the other day, have you been watching Bill Maher?

No, never have.

But

why?

Because I think he's becoming a conservative.

No, he's not.

No, he's not.

He's a traditional liberal.

He's still very liberal.

We're going to argue about tax policies and everything else until the cows cows come home.

So

he's still the same guy.

The difference is he started to speak out because he's realized what he thought was traditional liberalism that was maybe getting a little out of hand once in a while is completely out of control and it's no longer traditional liberalism.

Now it's something entirely different and it's dangerous.

So the worst thing we can do is say, hey, congratulations on becoming a conservative.

No.

If you want to embrace and unite, you just have to say, thank God,

the best part of being a liberal, standing up for free speech,

standing up against

big government and big corporations.

Thank God that finally broke through.

How did did that, how, what was it that made you see the light?

Because we can live with each other.

We always have.

There have been liberals for a very, very long time since the beginning.

We can live side by side with people who say,

I disagree with John, but I'll fight to the death for his ability to speak out.

That's where we need to be, and that's what we need to remind people of.

Our job, your job, my job,

is to remind people that the America that

was truly tolerant, not of everything,

and we still have a long way to go,

but was tolerant enough to be able to live side by side.

Again, not with everyone.

We had a lot of progress to make, but we've made a lot of progress, and we continue to make progress.

As long as we have fundamentals

in common.

And those fundamentals are the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.

Those things, we

we don't need to change them.

We need to remember them.

Nobody is using the Constitution anymore.

I don't know what we're using to

what the supreme law of the land is other than whatever the president says.

And I don't want that under a Republican and I don't want that under a Democrat.

I want the rule of law as outlined by the Constitution, and I want the rule of law as spelled out in the Bill of Rights, because those rights are unchangeable.

Back in a minute.

This may come as a shock to you, but I'm not an expert on everything.

In fact, I don't think I'm an expert on anything.

But there are some areas in life where I'm completely clueless.

And one of those

used to be how to buy and sell houses.

I've never, never, I was in the radio, you know, caravan for a long time, going from city to city.

I've never

bought a house and made money on it.

Ever.

And I've never, I don't know how to find a good real estate agent.

Just, you know, can you sell my house?

Well, sure, son.

There is a better way.

You want the person that is in your area that is known to be the best, that sells more than anyone else, and sells them fast for the highest rate.

Well, that's not just because they're great persons and personalities.

It's because they also have a system behind that.

What is the system?

Well, we can show it to you.

It's really quite easy.

But what we've done is we have looked for those people that have those kinds of traits that continually have the highest ratings from their clients and also make make an impact when it comes to selling homes and getting you into the right home.

We've already vetted so many of them.

We might have a real estate agent in your area.

The Glenbach Program.

Welcome to the Glen Back Program.

So

we have somebody coming up, Stu, I think you're going to love.

In just a few minutes, we have Sasha Stone.

She is a former Democrat.

She was a huge supporter of

Barack Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton.

She even made campaign videos for Joe Biden.

You're not starting off with the love fest the right way.

No.

But she has a sub stack that is fantastic.

And her latest was How Joe Biden Lost My Vote.

And she talks about waking up and how she woke up.

and

what she has discovered, the lies, the deception.

She's fascinating.

Wow.

Can't wait to to hear her.

I love stories like that.

Yeah, me too.

I love stories.

No matter how it turns out, people who thought one thing and then did their homework and went on an honest journey and found something that they never expected and probably didn't like.

I love that.

Yeah, there's a standard thing that happens around every election where this happens on the left, where they just find these people.

I used to love Donald Trump.

But now.

And they come up with some really fakey justification that tells you, obviously they were on the left the entire time.

That's not one of these cases, though, the opposite way, right?

This is a real.

Oh, yeah, no, no, this is a real, she was, she was die-hard.

She was diehard.

What did Rush call him seminar callers?

Remember, he would get the seminar callers back in the day, and like people would call up.

This is not one of those cases.

This is someone who's really gone through this transition.

Yeah.

And not just because the political tides changed, because I think that we, there was a version of Joe Biden that was sold that has never shown up.

Right?

That was the one she, that was the one she bought.

A lot of people, I think, did.

Yeah.

In the middle and on the left.

She's like, I can't stand the uproar all the time and the drama and the president doing this and that.

I can't, I can't take it anymore.

I mean, to this nation's detriment, not everyone listens to this program.

But I will say,

we were saying throughout, hey, like, I get that the vibe of Joe is middle-class Joe and he's this

lunchbox Joe and all that crap.

Have you looked at his policies?

Because they look like Bernie Sanders' policies, except toned back 15%.

But not actually.

Not actually.

Not actually.

But like some of the numbers.

Like you might say, you know, Bernie wants $6 trillion.

He wants $4.5 trillion.

Like, okay, I guess that's different.

Right.

Like, Bernie might have wanted 4.5 million illegals, and Joe only wants 4 million.

Right, right.

And it's like, I can see, yes, there's a slight difference, but that's not the difference between moderate and liberal.

That's the difference between socialist and socialist.

I'm not going to say that.

Socialist, though, you say right, you're right.

I thought better of it.

I have to tell you,

I never thought I would be a person that was going to be, you know, your deodorant guy.

But Sweat Block is amazing.

Amazing.

I was over on vacation and it was hot and there was no air conditioning and it was a nightmare.

But I put sweat block on the day before I left and I didn't need it until I got back again.

I mean, it's incredible.

And you don't smell, you don't sweat.

I mean, at least, you know, where you apply sweatblock.

Sweat block, try it, please.

It is so great.

You can get it on Amazon, but you can save 20% now.

You can get the deodorant stick, which is good, but it's, you know, it's you apply it every day.

Or you can get the sweatblock wipes that are

outrageously great.

Sweatblock.com, promo code Beck, sweatblock.com, promo code Beck, or you can find them on Amazon.

Got no room to capitalize.

We gotta stand together, it's a door survey.

Stand up straight in a whole night.

What you are about to hear is the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.

This is the Glenbeck Program.

Hello, America.

Welcome to the Glenbeck Program.

For us to survive as a nation, as a way of life, as a people,

we have to break through somehow or another the lies that are being told.

That

all Democrats are socialists that hate America, want to destroy our children, and, you know, want communism.

I think there's between 10 and 15 percent that do.

And then on the other side,

the the Democrats, the good Democrats, have to believe that

if you're if you voted for Donald Trump, it doesn't mean you want a totalitarian state, you want to blow up the Capitol, and that you are

crazy, dangerous terrorists.

Neither one of those things are true.

We used to be able to live with one another.

Now, you can't live with somebody who wants a totalitarian state.

or a communist state.

There is no compromise there.

But 80%

of us don't want that.

How do we find our way to each other?

Sasha Stone is a former Democrat, I think a real diehard.

She has her own sub stack.

She wrote a piece, how Joe Biden lost my vote.

It's an incredible story.

She joins us in 60 seconds.

Rebecca wrote in about her experience with Relief Factory.

She said, I heard my back a while ago.

I heard goats.

And I've tried all kinds of things, shots, pills, you name it, but none of it worked for me and then I discovered Relief Factor and it has helped me with both the stiffness and the pain thank you so much Relief Factor Rebecca thanks for writing in and giving Relief Factor a try and I'm happy that you are one of the 70% now that actually try it and go on to order more because it works for you That is the stat.

If you haven't tried Relief Factor, I know

it reduces inflammation.

I immediately go to oh well I've had the hard stuff ibrofen 800 and it doesn't do squat for me

well relief factor because my wife wouldn't listen to me whine anymore unless I tried absolutely everything I'm like it's not gonna work for me it did and I got my life back

Sasha Stone is with us now.

Sasha, how are you?

Oh, I'm fine.

Hi, is this Glenn?

Am I speaking with Glenn Beck?

Probably something you never thought you would do.

Absolutely never something I thought I would do, but I am familiar with your thoughts on certain things.

I've watched your interviews with different people over the year.

So, Sasha,

you've been a die-hard Democrat,

Obama, Clinton,

and Joe Biden, right?

You made video about Joe Biden trying to get him elected.

Yes.

I mean, I want to tell you that I devoted my entire life, unfortunately, to this cause.

whole years have disappeared from my life.

And, you know, as you get older, you really need that time.

You need it back, and you can't get it back.

So I guess I thought I was on some sort of crusade spending every single day arguing on Twitter and Facebook and writing blistering pieces for Medium.

And, you know, I really did think I was on the right side.

And I felt the same sense of purpose that I think a lot of people on the left felt after Obama rose to power in 2008.

I think it just, that's when it became, I know you're interested in, you know, talking about religions and stuff like that.

And I think that's really the moment that it became a religion.

I would agree with you.

What was it that you voted for with Joe Biden and you think your friends voted for with Joe Biden?

Well, for me, it was strategic partly, but also I had sort of an emotional connection to him somehow.

I had over the years.

I don't know where it came from, but

I liked him.

He reminded me of my dad, and I thought he was a good guy.

But, you know, you have to remember that on our side, like, we actually, it's weird that people with so much power and wealth that dominate almost every institution would feel like they're the ones who are besieged, you know, that they're the oppressed side.

And I think that's what we definitely convinced ourselves that we were stopping Hitler.

And I believe that Joe Biden was the only one who could do it.

But I did get a lot of heat from

my friends who didn't think Biden was the guy.

And I feel sort of

somewhat guilty about that, that I didn't see it.

I just thought, oh, he'll win, and that'll be fine.

And

everything will be back to quote-unquote normal in America.

And what that meant was rolling back the forward motion of this country to the Obama administration, to the Obama era.

I think that's what everybody was thinking.

But what I've learned in the past few years is you can't go back.

You have to keep moving forward.

There's no other option, really.

If you try to hold on to the past, you're just going to be selling things that people are no longer interested in.

Wouldn't that be what, I mean, that's what Joe Biden says he's selling, and Barack Obama is part of

the plan here and moving his vision forward?

Isn't that what

he did?

Absolutely.

And I think that's the problem, is that they're so desperately trying to cling to the utopia that we all built

that they've lost sight of reality, the reality of most Americans, the reality that America has changed, the world has changed, the left has changed, and I don't think that they see that.

They're just desperate to hold on to the past.

And I think they see it as, and I've started to see it as, a fight between Obama's America and Trump's America.

which is a little like the

moment that, you know, back in the 60s when they were switching from JFK to Nixon, Nixon was sort of like the disruptor.

And then eventually they moved to Reagan in 1980, and then the whole pendulum shifted to the right.

I think that's sort of where we are now.

We're in that struggle phase of a disruptor that's breaking up the status quo as the pendulum is beginning to swing to the right, but it's going to be a while before we get there.

And it might not get there

if the Democrats hold on to power.

They're not going to let that happen.

I mean, I'm sure we disagree on still a lot of stuff.

You wouldn't consider yourself

a conservative.

You're just

a traditional liberal, I'm guessing.

Well, I am in sort of a strange place because I have, I was telling one of my best friends, you know, my friends basically no longer speak to me.

Most of them don't because we don't really have anything to talk about.

But,

you know, I kept saying no.

I I mean, in all this time, my policies haven't changed in my mind.

Like, the things that I, the one area where my mind has changed a little bit is with abortion.

I used to be one of those people, you know, but I've seen the other side of it.

I see things from the perspective of the right now, and I understand why this is something that they've been fighting for decades, you know.

So I do struggle with these things.

I find myself in an in-between place.

I'm not really sure where I I would go politically, you know, when faced with a ballot.

I live in California, so it doesn't really matter anyway.

It's such a deep blue state that my vote is meaningless.

So I don't thank, I don't have to, like if I lived in Pennsylvania or some Arizona, you know, honestly, I'm pretty sure I would just be voting red.

I voted for the recall, and I voted for Larry Elder for that.

So

I'm just one of those independents that's going to take every election as it comes and decide it on the spot.

But no, I'm not a traditional conservative

the way that you are, for instance.

I don't have that sort of sense of purpose, I think, that a lot of people on the right have.

So

what was it that broke the camel's back?

Well,

I'm not really sure what happened in my brain that changed the way that I saw the world, but I know it happened in 2020.

I know it happened once the protests and the riots broke out and then watching the media cover it up and change the story and change the narrative.

And then as we headed into the election, I just kept seeing how there was sort of an administrative state that was taking over the democratic process.

That's how I saw it anyway.

And I was sort of blown away by that.

I'd never seen anything like that before, but there was so much money and power invested in bringing down a duly elected president that they didn't like.

And that's what started.

But you didn't like Donald Trump, or did you?

Well, that was the hard thing and the weird thing is that when I decided to,

well, you know,

you talk about this a lot, actually, Glenn, which is the dehumanization of whole groups of people that is reminiscent of Nazi Germany.

And I felt that when I was on Twitter, I was part of that.

And it gave me a chill.

That I was dehumanizing a whole group of people.

And I thought, where does this end?

Where does all of the hatred every single day go?

You know, they think the right is the side with the hate, but they're not.

It's the left.

And so I started, in my way of trying to get to know this world, I began watching Trump rallies.

And I watched all of his, I still to this day, I've seen every single Trump rally, you know, looking for that smoking gun that would say, yes,

he's a terrible racist, fascist, selling hate.

But I didn't see that with Trump.

In fact, it's hard to watch him and not like him because he's charming and charismatic and funny.

He had funny people who really hate him

and they've missed a really good time

on his rallies.

He's funny.

He's very funny.

He is really funny.

And it was more than that.

I was in such a dark place.

And the only,

nobody believes me on this, but the only moments of joy I had was watching those rallies because everybody was happy.

It was kind of like the people of Whoville when the Grinch has taken away all of their toys and their Christmas tree and everything and he's waiting to watch them suffer.

But they don't.

They sing and they're happy.

And I was watching this and I was thinking, you know, and then I started to look forward to his rallies.

I'm like, okay, let's see the music would start and he'd come out and it was just a love fest, you know, of people who were, who had hope, you know, that he gave them hope.

And I didn't see the cult.

You know, I see the cult more on the left than I do on the right.

And people don't know this about Trump, but he makes a lot of jokes at his own expense.

And,

you know, when I explain this to people, like the one where he says that the guy, one of the governors or something, plucked a hair off of his head.

And he's like, and we went looking for that hair

because he couldn't afford to lose one hair.

But he's always making jokes at his own expense, jokes about his vanity.

And

he's funny.

But hang on.

So you watched all of these, and yet you voted and made videos about Joe Biden, right?

No, I mean, I had done all that before.

Oh, before.

So you

had to watch the Biden train and, yeah, in 2019.

Okay.

As I was heading into the 2020 election, I was talking to my friends.

I had two friends that are Trump haters.

In fact, they won't even speak to me now, really, about Trump.

They call him evil.

They say his supporters must be exterminated.

Terrible stuff.

Oh, my gosh.

And I know.

And I said, you know what you sound like, don't you?

You know what the word exterminate was used for, don't you, in regards to people.

And that did shut them up for a minute, but they really, they're so full of hate.

I've never seen anything like this in my entire life, honestly, that kind of dehumanization.

But I kept saying to them, you know, I'm not so sure about Biden.

I don't think he should be president.

And they're like, well, what do you think?

You know, what's the alternative?

Trump?

Trump is way worse.

And I said, I don't know.

I'm seeing this sort of bizarre new religion that's overtaken the left, and he's going to usher that into government, and that's really dangerous.

And he's old.

And I mean, not old as in that's a bad thing, but I could see that he was declining.

You know, since I saw him at a luncheon in 2019, he was already starting to

decline mentally.

And I'd seen my dad go through dementia the year before, and I was recognizing a lot of the same.

downward pattern to that that my dad went through.

And they just shut me down.

And honestly, Glenn, to tell you the truth, I do have a business that I run that is a Hollywood business.

I think

it's a movie studios.

No, I'm just saying, like, I am flirting with disaster here.

Oh, you are.

If I had voted for Trump, let's say, my career would be, I wouldn't make another dime ever if they ever found out, right?

So I didn't vote for Trump.

I did vote for Biden.

And I did it for that reason, honestly.

And

I don't know where I am politically.

I have to just really do some soul searching and figure that out because I don't really know at the moment.

All right.

Hang on.

How much time do we have with you, Sasha?

As much time as you'd like.

Okay, good.

Yep.

I'd like to see if we can get another 20-plus minutes out of you, if you don't mind, if you have that time.

Back in just a second, one minute and back to Sasha Stone.

There is an old saying about charity, which goes a little like this, give until it hurts and then give a little bit more.

I believe that, and I suspect you believe that as well.

Use a word that sometimes the left doesn't like, sacrifice.

You do it for the right causes.

We sacrifice for one another.

That's great.

Now, what do you sacrifice for?

What do you really believe in?

Well, I know that our police officers

put themselves in harm's way.

every single day, and they're being attacked.

I know that firefighters do the same.

I know that soldiers do the same.

So,

boy,

you are in a nasty predicament.

You are in California.

Your business is tied to Hollywood.

God bless you.

But you're not shy about things now.

You've got a great sub stack.

And

you wrote an article, How Joe Biden Lost My Vote.

And

it was heartening to see

somebody that had

taken their own education and decided

this might take me places I don't want to go, but I want to know the truth.

Is that how you would describe what you did?

That's an absolutely brilliant way of describing it.

That is where my mind took me.

It's taken me down a lot of rabbit holes over the years.

Watergate, the Salem Lynch trials, World War II.

I'm a fanatic for that.

And so when I find that something doesn't seem quite right,

I have to sort of investigate it.

And I feel like that the truth matters to me.

This is what I've found now in my life, is that that matters more than just about anything except my daughter, probably, or maybe my dogs.

But I mean, it it matters that

you know, that we see the truth, that we can speak the truth, that I can speak the truth.

I grew up in a country, you know, the left was always the counterculture, so, you know, we were encouraged to speak the truth always.

And now I'm being asked to modify my version, you know, to believe a lie, a lot of lies about people.

And I feel like the only thing that really matters to me right now is giving some relief to the other half of the country, to the people who are being treated so terribly

on almost every level.

You know, once I started to get to know this world, I began watching like documentaries in the Oscar race, because that's what I write about the Oscars.

And I just noticed how they reflect only one point of view and how limiting that was for them, right?

They can't tell the story of the working man anymore like they used to be able to, you know, because the working man is going to be most likely a Trump scorer.

So

you never saw that when you were in the bubble.

No, and that was the weird thing is when I realized I was in a bubble, I kept trying to tell people, I can't talk to you, you're in the bubble.

They thought I was a lunatic.

They thought I completely lost my mind.

I did sound crazy to them.

And I've thought about it a lot.

And

I've been online for 28 years.

I was an early adopter.

I got online in 1994.

I built a website in 1999.

So I know the internet well.

And I have to conclude that a lot of this has to do with how we've migrated onto social media and become these

in our own little ecosystems where on Twitter they only get news that they want to hear.

So it distorts their thinking.

And I noticed that that's why I had to cut off the news completely because I noticed that even if I watch one news story on the left, they can completely persuade me to think, you know, about something a different way.

But it's one thing if you're getting that from both sides and you're deciding for yourself.

And it's another thing when you're only watching the one version.

And

I've just found that honestly, the more critical thinkers or the more intelligent people, oh, this is so terrible to say, but they're on the right now.

You know, they're not on the left anymore.

The left has,

you know, become a movement that they believe they have all the answers now.

And the answers are found in ranking people by race and gender,

not by class or economics.

And

I think they think that that's, or by character, right.

Even though If you go into Trump world, you'll see it's incredibly diverse.

It's not just white white people.

And that's the next piece I'm about to write is about that, because I think that it's such a crazy thing to watch them stereotype and characterize people that doesn't line up with reality.

We're going to pick it up there.

Standby.

Her name is Sasha Stone,

Charlie Sheen is an icon of decadence.

I lit the fuse and my life turns into everything it wasn't supposed to be.

He's going the distance.

He was the highest-paid TV star of all time.

When it started to change, it was quick.

He kept saying, No, no, no, I'm in the hospital now, but next week I'll be ready for the show.

No, Charlie's sober.

He's gonna tell you the truth.

How do I present this with any class?

I think we're past that, Charlie.

We're past that, yeah.

Somebody call action.

AKA Charlie Sheen, only on Netflix, September 10th.

We're talking to Sasha Stone, who

was a pretty hardcore Democrat and

had a lot to lose

and has come out and now very publicly on Substack

been voicing concern about where the country is headed and why she is now defending the people that the left, and in particular Joe Biden in his Bloodred speech,

was attacking.

Sasha, Sasha, thank you for staying with us.

I believe that 15 to 20 percent of the left is hardcore.

They want an end to the

Bill of Rights as we know it and everything else.

But 80 percent of Democrats are not like that.

They like America, generally speaking.

I mean, we have problems and flaws, but they don't want it to be destroyed.

Do you agree with that?

Yeah, I do.

And in fact,

Biden was a bit of a trojan horse in that way.

I think that

the people that have overtaken the party, the ideology that's overtaken the party, really spilled out of Tumblr as Generation Z grew up and came of age on social media and then have foisted their sort of

newfound religion onto the left.

And they have taken it, unfortunately, and not stood up to to it and if any of them ever stood up to it Gavin Newsome or any of these guys they would do really well with voters because voters don't want that in power in fact that's going to be their

their tragic flaw I think or their downfall ultimately is that they still have to sell these policies and Americans aren't going to go for it they're going to resist it the trick is what Biden is doing and why I've given up on him and why I'm angry at him is that he's decided that the only way they could win is by dehumanizing people and creating this

this unfiltered bottomless rage toward his own citizens you know and and say what you will about trump but he never did that he might have trolled them you know he might have he trolled the media

he trolled the people the media yeah but he didn't really go after the people they kept accusing him of that but he never did it joe biden is doing what they all have said that trump would do so you you wrote a great piece on substack the uh semi-fascists are coming from inside the house.

It's interesting to me that the left either discounts or cannot see

the fascistic things that are happening like crazy every day.

It's another violation that only a dictator or authoritarian would even think about doing.

How do we get people to see that?

I don't know, and I don't think it's actually possible.

The people who listen to me are not people on the left, right?

They demonize me and put me on the other side of the fence, right?

They don't.

So I don't know how you break through to that.

Normally we would have journalists and artists, but we don't have that now.

So, well, we're starting to.

We're starting to get comedians.

When you say the left, I'm not,

I just don't know how you save people who are just on that far left that

celebrates abortion and

says that America is evil and capitalism has brought only misery.

I don't know if you're ever going to be able to convince them.

I mean the 80%

that you and I both think exist that are Democrats who have got to be watching this going, I don't know,

I'm not all that comfortable with all of this.

Well, I don't know if you watched, Frank Luntz had a group of people that he was talking to just recently, and they were talking about how bad things are in America, and they could sense it, but they couldn't name it because I don't think that they have,

they can, you know, the media is reaching them.

And so either they've tuned out of cable news or else every time they turn on the news,

they just see what is basically filtered up through the left that you're talking about, the small

minority that controls the party.

But the problem is that, you know, the way that the left talks about the Trump right, you know, they say the Republican Party can't be saved because the Trump people have infiltrated, so you just have to vote out all of them.

I mean, funnily enough, that's sort of true of them, of the left, right?

I have found over the years, whatever the left says that we're doing or that Trump is doing or whatever, they're absolutely doing that.

They self-diagnose all the time.

All the time.

That's right.

And that took me a while to figure out.

But that's exactly it.

Like, that's really the truth, that they're their own worst enemy in that regard, right?

They're losing the silent majority, just like they did back in.

the late 60s and 70s.

I think, like you said, most people are

decent.

I walk around my neighborhood every day and I say hello to my neighbors.

And we don't know who we each voted for or what we think politically.

We smile.

We would take care of each other in an emergency.

And that's the America that I love and would love for us all to get back to is just to be able to see each other as people again.

And the right isn't doing that to the left.

The left is doing that to the right.

So that is why I find myself in this position of trying to wake people up.

I don't know that I'm being effective at all, however.

I think, as I wrote in that piece, they need to have a hard lesson taught to them by being simply voted out of power.

I think we're all getting a hard lesson here soon if we don't turn around.

Sasha, so what was the thing that, I mean, you had,

I know because I used to be pro-choice 30 years ago,

and I realized I was an income poop.

I didn't know anything.

Every view I held was because it had been taught to me or it was popular or whatever.

And so, you know, I turned 30 and I realized, what an idiot.

And so I started doing,

you know, study and

really tried to form,

you know, who I really was.

And it took me about 10 years, but I remember in that 10-year period of thinking, I don't want, I don't know if I want to be that guy.

And if I keep going down this road,

it looks like, I mean, I'm starting to believe these things and I don't want to be that guy.

You had the

other, which is you're going to be a pariah.

Not only did you maybe not want to be that person

that believed, you know, that the right was right,

but you also risked all of your friends and your business.

First, how do you, what would you say to somebody who's just beginning that journey?

And the second part of that is,

what made you finally say, to hell with it, I don't care?

I know, right?

Well, the first part is that it took me a while to edge over to the right.

Like I was sort of first approaching the Never Trump conservatives, and I actually met Joe Walsh.

You know who he is.

And I had a phone call with him once.

And I asked him, you know, you're a libertarian.

How come you are not pro-choice?

And he explained to me that because he believed that the baby had a right to life and he was looking out for the rights of that child.

And that, when he told me that, it was the first time I ever really thought, I know it seems stupid, but it was the only time I really, you know, I bought the whole thing from the feminist movement.

I was raised by a feminist.

I was a feminist.

You know, I don't, I'm not exactly thrilled with, you know, population on this planet and all that.

You know, I, not to be too TMI about it, but I bought it enough that I've experienced it.

And I know that it's painful emotionally and physically.

And it is something, the only thing that I regret in my life.

And I tell my daughter all the time, don't do it.

It's not worth it.

And so I am discouraged by the Democrats treating it like it's like getting your ears pierced.

It's a very difficult, very hard thing.

And to look at people on the right who care about

the right to life of the fetus, you know, is is

is just to have compassion for them and to understand where they're coming from and to see that this is a deeply held belief it's not I want to control women's bodies or I'm a fascist it's I you know I think that this is this child's life matters and it's weird that the left acts as though they care about every life you know that they that they really do care about everybody's identity and that they you know spend so much time on that but a fetus to them is just nothing you know it's it doesn't, it's not life.

So I can see both sides.

Like, I don't know that I'm for the government regulating that.

I feel like that's sort of a recipe, you know, for a kind of maybe authoritarianism that we don't really want.

But how else to get people to, you know, stop and be a little more sober about this conversation.

So what finally made me say, forget it?

Well, you know what?

I don't really know.

I guess I've just been,

I guess I have to come from a place of that Bob Dylan line, you know, when you ain't got nothing, you've got nothing to lose

to where I can't,

people treat me terribly online.

You probably have, well, I mean, I'm sure it's only a fraction of what

I've been treated like

swarmed and bullied and harassed and called a white supremacist and, you know, I mean, the worst names you could ever imagine and

I feel like you know what's the alternative you know staying silent and hoping that one day they they treat me nicely you know like that's not and if it's just about money well I'm just gonna have to take that risk you know and find another way to make money you know I did it once I can do it again

you know I

I don't know.

Something just compels me to move in this direction, and I'm not sure what it is.

And all I can hope is

it's the right decision.

Yeah.

It's too late now.

Yeah, well,

oh, it's never too late.

They would probably welcome you back if

you would join the

get-em club.

Sasha will be reading you.

Thank you so much for talking to me.

And honestly, I have

so much respect for people, even if they come to completely different conclusions than I did.

I have so much

admiration for people who will examine the things about them or the things that they believe

when it takes them into very uncomfortable territory.

And they just stick to it and do it.

There's just

that is a defining moment of when you really, truly become,

in my case, a man

and a citizen.

So.

Well, thank you for having me.

It's, you know, I do appreciate your reaching out.

I have listened to you a lot, and I know that that's where you're coming from.

And

it's been an interesting conversation.

So, thank you.

Thank you.

It's usually a bad sign.

Oh, it's very, very interesting.

Sasha.

No, no, no.

I know what you say.

No, I know what you say.

Thank you so much.

We're glad you're here.

Thank you so much for listening.

If you're new to the program,

take the 30-day challenge and listen to us for 30 days.

Is it only 30 days now?

I thought it was always six weeks.

Like six weeks ago,

six weeks.

You got over the intense white-hot hatred of

six weeks.

Six weeks.

It'll take you about that.

Because you, you, yeah, you'll hate me, and then it'll go to a white-hot hate.

Yeah.

And then you just kind of go numb inside.

And that takes about six weeks

for that numbing effect.

But six weeks is enough.

If you're not going to get it after six weeks, it may take you multiple years.

And we can't expect you to put that kind of time out.

No, no, no, no.

Give it six weeks.

And if you're not numb,

numb from the pain of the white-hot heat.

It's really a terrible promise.

Yeah, it really is.

But hey, six weeks is all we need, you know, and Stu can finally get that new car he and his kids have been waiting for.

Well,

let's not go overboard, right?

It's still in a lot in Lansing, Michigan, somewhere.

You know what I'd like?

I'd like one of these, like this Jaguar hearse that they're carrying, carry

with lots of headroom in that.

Lots, lots of headroom in all of their cars.

And it has American-style seating.

You got enough room for a real American who's been to a seat.

And you ride down on the back, and yet you got all those big windows.

You can see everything you're

passing.

It's great.

It's good.

It's good.

So the Queen's coffin is still on the move.

I, you know, got here four and a half hours ago and it was on the move.

And I think it was on the move, you know, maybe four hours before that.

That, that's a lot of movement for a coffin.

Here's the thing.

When you develop a car, it's developed largely so it can go faster than humans can walk.

Right.

So when you're, when you have it surrounded with, with people walking, it really doesn't form its purpose all that well.

So now she's going to Windsor Castle and then to like St.

George's Chapel or something, which I don't know.

Is that in Windsor Castle?

And is that part of Buckingham Palace?

I don't know.

I don't know.

I intentionally didn't know.

We won the Revolutionary War.

That was a long time ago.

You should let that go.

You should let that go.

I mean, I think we've moved on.

But we've let it go.

The point is, we won the Revolutionary War partially, so we didn't have to learn about the monarchy.

That was the reason I was into it.

Yeah, freedom, blah, blah, blah.

But I don't have to learn about all the pomp and circumstance.

That's why I wanted to win.

Hello, America.

Welcome to the Glenbeck Program.

It is Monday.

We're 40-plus days away from the next election, and there's some new polls out.

Not good news, not good news if you're Joe Biden or a Democrat.

Stu is back from vacation, so we will cover the polls, the latest in 60 seconds.

All right.

Welcome to the program.

Patriot Mobile is our sponsor.

There used to be a time in this country where, you know, concepts like customer is always right,

don't get involved in politics, just

mind your own business and make a great product.

Those days are gone and dead and probably never coming back.

But also the days of having to put up with a company that is assaulting you all the time, those days are over as well.

Patriot Mobile is a good good example of this.

Patriot Mobile has affordable plans for your budget, excellent coverage, top-notch U.S.-based customer service.

Well, Stu, welcome back.

Thank you, Glenn.

It's great to be back.

Is it?

Where did you go?

Did you go anyplace special?

Any exciting DeMartha Vineyard, Glenn.

DeMartha's Vineyard, really?

Yeah, hung out with 50 illegal immigrants.

Really?

Boy, they were upset at Ron DeSantis.

Were you upset at Ron DeSantis?

No.

I mean, when I go up there, I have to pay for flights.

Yeah.

Yeah, they got it for free.

So I don't know why they would be upset.

Actually, they weren't upset.

Can we please play Cut Eight?

This is MSNBC.

There's activists here, Jose, that are saying that these people were victims of human trafficking.

They want an investigation from the Justice Department onto what Governor DeSantis is doing, what Governor Greg Abbott is doing, because they're saying that these people are being abused and used to bring a border crisis deeper into the country.

Now, I can tell you they are not angry at Ron DeSantis.

They are actually thanking him for having brought them to Martha's Vineyard where they were very well received.

But other people, well, they're saying they're being used as political pawns.

They don't resent it for now.

And they know they're the lucky ones.

This is a fascinating part of this whole thing.

There's this revisionism going on right now.

Yeah, yeah.

Like all of these, I remember hearing multiple reports with the first set of immigrants going to these cities where they couldn't couldn't even find examples of the illegal immigrants who were upset about this.

They were like, hey, we got across the border.

We wanted to go to the northeast.

They gave us a free bus ride to New York.

And they were happy.

And it was almost a way to stick it in the face of Greg Abbott initially.

Like, oh, you said you were going to be hurting, you were going to be hurting these immigrants, and now you're helping them.

Ha ha ha ha ha.

That was their initial take in the media.

They couldn't even find the immigrants.

They were all happy to do this.

Now they go to Martha's Vineyard, they meet with lawyers, and all of a sudden they're pawns in a political game with this high-level analysis of U.S.

politics mixed in.

It's an interesting thing from someone who just crawled across Panama to get here.

It is fascinating.

Okay, so we look at the poll numbers

of Joe Biden, 39% approval rating.

Yes, 39% approval rating is less than you want going into a midterm election.

It is not

suboptimal would be the would be a great term to utilize there.

You have a situation where

Biden seemingly, if you're going over all of the polls, you want to kind of look at not just one, but all of them, you see Biden maybe popping off his very bottom from a few months ago

to a level that is not exactly good, but a little bit off of its lows.

And that's, of course, something that has created this narrative that Democrats have an increasing amount of momentum as we approach this.

Yeah, I don't think so.

I mean, I don't see it.

And I, look, I, as you know,

I'm known on this program for occasionally being a little black rain cloud

and bringing

bad news when everyone's really positive.

When everyone says the Republican's going to win, and I say, I don't know if that's going to happen, and then people just get mad at me until it occurs.

Now, it's partially because I'm also very, a very pessimistic person generally in good news these days.

But

looking at this, I don't see the case for the high levels of momentum, Glenn.

I don't see it.

Not yet.

I mean, we may see it develop.

But as at this point,

the number one thing people are concerned about.

What?

No, I just go ahead, finish.

The number one thing.

Are you laughing at my hat?

I am laughing at your hat.

You now have a hat that's not even contained by the camera shot.

It is out, it starts in the camera shot, but it's not.

I'm seeing these on TV all the time now.

Yes.

These hats.

And I think I'd like to help bring them more mainstream.

I think you've seen them because the queen is in the middle of the funeral.

I don't know.

I just know there are big, big hats in

like it seems like half the country is wearing these hats in England right now.

And, you know, I'd like to be a little more transatlantic, you know?

Sure.

Yeah.

It looks great on you, I will say.

That extends.

It's a little small, you know?

Because I don't know if this is the real.

This is the hat that was from Wizard of Oz, which I think are the same hats as

they're wearing now in England.

And

so.

It's very nice.

You look very stunned.

Now, I've been trying to think,

what was the intent of these hats?

To make you look like you had a very large head?

Like a cone head.

Right, like Dan Aykroyd cone head.

Right, to make you

more a shape of like Homer Simpson, I think.

Okay.

To make it look like you just had this enormous head that went into the hat so you appeared taller.

I mean, seriously,

why the hat?

As I've previously stated, we won the Revolutionary War to not

need to know

to understand these things.

Maybe because of the hat.

You think we won because of the hat?

Well, look, if you were, let's say you're in a trench,

and you just want to peek over, this enormous hat comes up for like two foot of hat

and then the eyes.

You know exactly where everybody was.

You know exactly where everybody was.

Glenn,

there's a revisionist history book to be written on this topic, and that may be...

I'm just saying.

That may be the evidence.

Does this fit you better?

Because this might fit you better.

I don't even know what the front is, which is the front.

Maybe, yeah, that's the front.

It looks like a mullet almost.

It's got a kind of a mullet.

It does kind of look like a mullet.

Maybe that's what it is.

Maybe this was the first mullet.

Won't even fit you.

No, it just sits on top of my head.

Yeah.

But it looks good on this dude.

I mean, I think

it might have been the first.

You know how guys who are bald wear baseball caps?

This is like a baseball hat and a

in one.

You're like, losing my hair.

Look how much hair I have.

Right.

Yeah, it's not comfortable.

I mean, I don't know what this has to do with the polls.

You asked me about the polls and then you just put this hat on as if I was supposed to answer a serious poll question while you were wearing this hat.

Well, now I have to talk to you while you're wearing this hat.

And you realize it's difficult.

So let me ask.

So let me ask you.

Yes.

So 52% of voters say they trust Republicans to manage the economy.

Only 38% for Democrats.

Yeah, where this is interesting and shows up in a big way is among Hispanics in particular.

Hispanics tend to vote less on culture war issues and more on economic issues.

And as you may have noticed recently,

there has been some economic news that has not been great.

Despite the interview last night with Joe Biden, where he said basically we're even.

Well, here, let me play.

We're talking about inflation.

Here's what he said: cut for

Mr.

President.

As you know, last Tuesday, the annual inflation rate came in at 8.3 percent.

Unbelievable.

The stock market nosedived.

People are shocked by their grocery bills.

What can you do better and faster?

Well, first of all, let's put this in perspective.

Yeah, let's do that.

Inflation rate month to month was just

an inch, hardly at all.

You're not arguing that 8.3 is good news.

No, I'm not saying it is good news, but it was 8.2 or 8.2 before.

Maybe I can make it sound like all of a sudden, my God, it went to 8.3%.

This is worse, too.

For one central reason here, as I try to tell you seriously with this hat on,

the idea, the pitch a couple of months ago was, hey, like month to month is pretty much flat.

We should be excited about this.

Great job, everybody.

And one of the reasons why you saw that situation playing out is because we had energy that skyrocketed.

Partially because of Joe Biden's actions,

but then kind of came down.

So we had a peak and it's kind of come back down.

We've seen gas prices like come down from the worst of all time to like the second worst of all time.

And we're supposed to celebrate this, right?

That's the pitch from the media.

This last month had none of the energy involved.

Even core inflation was up much more than expected.

So now we're seeing it not just in one region of the economy skyrocketing, but it's very up and down.

We're seeing now a situation.

Now you have some weapon that you've brought into the studio, but we're seeing the inflation spread across the

I want you to hold the weapon here because this is not a weapon.

This is the

you killed the witch, remember, with that hat?

And I just wanted to see you

go ahead to hold this and see if you can play that big monkey guy because I think that's a role you could play nicely.

This is so very big.

Uh, so you just hold this.

What is happening to the show?

And

i have add and i don't care that much anymore you don't seem to care about yeah so now just say you killed the queen you killed the queen is that how you say it well no not really it's not as exciting as i thought but okay all right thanks well i think so anyway you brought something wonderful to this audio medium yeah that we have i did i did i did thank you something very special there's very there's a lot of people that are also watching us that's true yes that is true there's both

plays tv.com slash glutton if you want to.

See the idiocy instead of just hearing it.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

And Stu, you look good in that hat.

I think you're going to bring him back.

I do.

All right.

So

this is not encouraging to you.

This is not giving you any kind of feeling like...

I want the country to be successful, and I don't want people to starve.

So no, it's not encouraging when we see really...

No, no, no, but I'm saying for the election.

That's not this.

I think it is encouraging.

I mean, if you want Republicans to win the election, then I would say this is encouraging news.

Now, of course, you know, you're taking pain for the country for an election result, which nobody wants.

I mean, you want to be able to, you want to win elections and not have to hand out tragedy across the country to win.

Right.

But I mean, when you're looking at this, what we're centrally talking about is a decision as to whether Biden and the Democrats, who have had complete control for two years, have done a good job with that control.

And these numbers prove, once again, they have not.

They can't run on anything they've accomplished.

They can't run on the economy.

They can't run on inflation.

They certainly can't run on Ukraine.

They can't run on Afghanistan.

They certainly can't run on the border.

They can't run on anything that they've had to deal with on a day-to-day basis.

Crime.

Crime.

Crime.

Gosh, yeah.

Crime.

No, no.

Racial harmony.

Can they run on that one?

No.

No, they can't run on anything.

So what they're trying to do is make the election about a guy who's not even on the ballot,

Donald Trump.

And the reason for that is not because, you know,

it's a very central fact here.

39% approval rating for Joe Biden.

54%

say they do not want him.

He's minus 15 there.

If the election is about Donald Trump, they are much closer to what you'd call a 50-50 election.

And because as we all know, half the country loves the guy and half the country hates the guy.

And normally, if you're doing a good job, you don't want to revert to a 50-50 election,

right?

Because you'll be losing points.

If he had a 60% approval rating, he wouldn't be bringing up Donald Trump's name at all.

But here, with a 39%, he knows he can get to 50-50 by mentioning Donald Trump, and half the audience will immediately embrace whatever nonsense he's selling.

And so that is in this hat, a very difficult point to make.

But I just so have you have you figured out why I brought the hat and the

right at this point in the show?

I

know.

I don't, I don't know.

It doesn't make any sense.

Well, when you watch the video back, you'll.

The one thing Stu is really, really good at is stats.

But in that giant

king's hat or

guard hat and with the monkey spear, you just can't take him seriously at all.

No.

I appreciate that.

Yeah, anything I can do to help, I'm always here for you, pal.

And I mean the pal part, kind of like

Joe Biden means that with the

with the prime minister of of Australia.

Pal.

Pal.

All right.

Unless you're a big fan of walking everywhere you go, probably pretty important that you keep your car in good running order.

Something goes wrong, especially in today's world, that's where it can get really dicey if your car is out of warranty.

Getting it fixed could cost you an arm and a leg.

Car shield is there, so it doesn't cost you that.

It'll cost you.

It'll cost.

No, I like it.

So

let's talk a little bit about Fetterman.

Oh, one of my favorite topics.

Yeah.

So he was on the show quite a bit last week.

I heard a little bit about this.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

He did.

It's kind of a big deal.

He's actually better at speaking than I realized.

So

Fetterman now looks like it's almost a dead heat with Oz.

He's not going to

debate.

Well, last season, now last I left this story.

Yeah.

Because I was off last week.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Last I left this story, he said he would agree to one debate, just wouldn't say when or where.

Yeah, so, right.

So is that now off the table?

No, it's no, it's on the table, but it's after all the, you know, the election?

Is it after the election?

After the election.

They're going to debate after the election.

Yeah, it's crazy how people are just not questioning this.

I mean, that's, I mean, because Oz is not

Donald Trump.

You know what I mean?

No,

Oz is not some guy that is completely out of control and some, you know, die-hard conservative.

I know you're saying that with air quotes here because, you know, that's how the media portrays Donald Trump, right?

Completely out of control, this hardcore conservative, unrelenting.

Now, there's no evidence.

Honestly, I have very little evidence of any position that Dr.

Oz writes.

I don't know anything.

I don't know anything to be honest with you.

And I can't believe that more people aren't going, you know, I mean, the guy has brain damage and God bless him.

And I love him, but that's probably the Senate is probably that.

And, you know, my kid's chauffeur or bus driver should not, he shouldn't have those jobs.

Right.

Probably.

Right.

Almost all jobs, it's hard to hold when you cannot communicate.

And yes.

And as to their, to their explanation of this he can't process language like that's really a central requirement i feel like i think it was a central requirement requirement for me in this industry and i've kind of i've i've managed to you made a radio hall of fame without being able to do it that's a good point maybe this is a case for john fedderman yeah i know it is but yeah the latest poll has uh fedderman up only by two Yeah, which this was a 16-point race about six or eight weeks ago.

I think as people start to get more and more engaged, they're going to say,

I don't think so.

I totally agree with that, and I think that's the story of this election right now, which is why I make the case that I don't see the real evidence of this momentum.

We're already seeing these states tighten.

We're seeing a two-point race in

Pennsylvania, which was a 16.

We had a four-point lead for Ryan in Ohio at one point.

Now it's a four-point lead for Vance.

These are big swings.

The Masters Masters race has moved towards Masters.

He's still a slight lead for Kelly, but there's movement in that direction.

All of these races that looked, Herschel Walker, who was showed multiple polls behind Warnock, is now showing in polls ahead of Warnock.

Four, five, six, seven-point swings in these polls.

That's usually what happens with a bad economy.

That's usually what happens.

Really,

can this guy, Joe Biden, and all of the people running under him that promised to do the same type of crap that he's been doing over the past couple of years.

Can they survive not only the inflation, but we're also seeing the stock market tank?

Oh, we're we are following the exact pattern of uh 2008.

And all of these economists are now coming out and saying we are less than a year away.

Like they're saying, oh, well, the same people that were saying, look, two, two quarters in a row that are negative is not a recession.

They're all saying now, but we are definitely within a year of a recession.

They're all saying.

Recession.

Right.

I'd be thrilled if this ended in a recession.

Oh my gosh, I hope I'm wrong.

And we can laugh.

Oh,

Glenn said it was just going to be a complete collapse and people were going to be eating each other and they wouldn't have to be in the Rocky Mountains to go, hmm, he looks pretty good.

Maybe we should eat him for a meal.

Yeah, I'd be thrilled if it was a recession.

But don't think so.

By the way, the New York Times has just come out and they have said now that DeSantis is meaner and more rigid without any of the soft edges of Donald Trump

at the design

program.

New York Times, I'm sorry,

this is the time for you to get a hold of all of your finances.

Have you looked at your credit card statements lately?

I know you, if you're like me, try to avoid them.

The kind of interest that you're paying on those things, 15%, 17, 20%?

Bad news, this week the Fed is meeting and they're probably going to drive that rate up even higher.

They're saying a full point to 7.5 basis points.

That's a lot.

That's a lot.

I read an article just last night about how we're probably two points away from the economy just not being able to handle these interest rates.

We're going to be halfway there possibly this week.

Please call American Financing today.

Don't wait.

See how they can help you.

Welcome to the Glenn Beck program and welcome back to Mr.

Stu Bergiere.

Yeah, I was on vacation last week.

I was trying to keep up with the news as much as I could.

There was a lot to miss.

Yeah.

You know?

Because before I went to vacation, the queen passed away.

Yes.

And then when I came back from

vacation, she's still not

in her casket and be wheeled around the country, which is a very strange, odd thing that I don't think humans should do.

Yeah.

That's a whole different story.

I also saw, apparently you withdrew your support for the Convention of States.

Yeah.

Why?

Why did you realize?

Well, because I didn't plan on saying it.

I had been praying about it.

And I wasn't planning on saying anything on that day.

It just kind of I was prompted and just kind of came out in the course of something else that we were talking about.

Because we've talked about this as a real solution, as one of the only ways to get the country back on track.

I know.

I know.

And now you're coming out.

Are you announcing you're a Russian asset, just like Donald Trump?

Yeah.

After all this time, is that what you're doing?

Natasha, they've caught on to me.

I've got to fly now.

Yeah, no,

I think that this is.

As I said, I still fully fully support the Article 5

as it is.

I fully believe that that is something that we can do.

I do believe that's the last cord to rip.

But I also am very, very concerned.

This is not a

constitutional problem.

This isn't a political problem.

This is

a soul problem.

Our country has gone off the rails.

And I happen to believe that we are in the third great awakening.

The third grade awakening?

Like we're all third graders now?

No, third great awakening.

Yeah.

That's what it's seen.

Yeah, yeah.

Because I could go for either one of those versions and you could go.

The third grade awakening where they wake you up, it's time for milk.

That's good.

But no, the third great awakening.

I think we're in that.

But, you know, the first and the second both took about 50 years to do.

And the second one ended in the Civil War.

So,

you know, I think we are waking.

We're at the beginning of that.

But this is something

that

people without humility should not open up.

Now, this is what's weird is, and

I have to make this clear.

The people who are doing the Convention of States, I love them.

I think they're a great organization.

I think they really have have their heart in the right place.

And I understand

that they, you know, what they're doing.

I am a supporter of them.

But I can't personally endorse it now because I am

worried that we are not the people of character to open that sacred document up.

Oh, we're definitely not the people of character to do anything.

Yeah.

God lived.

We are a trash trash heap, right?

So we have, I mean, that's...

But I thought,

we talked to them before, and I thought a lot of this was addressed in the structure of the convention.

It's been a while since we've talked about it in detail.

But Mark Levin wrote a book about this.

And I remember because these concerns came up at the time.

Who are you going to have making these decisions?

You know, this could go awry very easily.

And it did seem like I thought there was a pretty compelling argument that the structure of the convention would prevent this.

It's not just the structure of it as well.

I mean, are we prayerfully approaching this?

I mean,

I didn't just get up one morning and go, no, no, no, no, no.

I've been thinking about it and I prayed about it.

And I could be wrong.

I could be wrong.

Because I know the people who are out there swinging for this are good, decent people.

They're really good people.

And, you know,

David Barton, wall builders, they're really behind it.

Yeah.

So, and who am I to say?

And, and, and honestly, even when we were talking about this previously, the people who had concerns about it also were good, prayerful people.

Like, I mean, I think it's one of those things that it's a,

there's a lot of disagreement on what can happen.

I honestly, we've seen a lot of topics like this recently, where people who generally agree on most stuff wind up coming to totally different conclusions and feel passionate about it on things like this.

So I, I mean, I worth future investigation, I think.

But, you know, I think like you are totally right in your,

I think, analysis of where we are as a country.

You know, I mean, like, I, this is another example from this past week, and I was watching it sort of from afar, but the situation where, with DeSantis sending the illegal immigrants to Martha's Vineyard.

Now, of course, number one, I think it's funny.

That's the most important part of the strategy.

But like, I have absolutely no problem with the policy of what Abbott's done or what DeSantis has done or what Arizona has done.

What is the difference?

All the arguments against it are the same arguments we make in Texas every day.

Yeah, and I'm tired, and it's really driving me crazy going, we're not Texas.

We're Washington, D.C.

We're not Texas.

What does that even mean?

Yeah, right.

Exactly.

Because you're not a small border town that's getting overwhelmed overwhelmed by hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants every few weeks.

So I have no sympathy at all for the left on this.

The one thing that I think,

and this is essentially why you're hearing about it, what is somewhat effective maybe as an argument is like, I don't want to be lying to people about it.

I don't want to tell them, like, hey, you're going somewhere and it's not.

Hold on,

let me qualify this.

There's very little evidence that anyone lied to anyone.

There are a couple of claims from the immigration attorneys in Martha's Vineyard.

So like, take this with a grain of salt.

But if our policy was

a whole salt mine, I don't believe it, frankly.

But if it were true, I would have a problem lying to the illegal immigrants about this, even though they're here illegally and don't deserve

any of the treatment that they that.

But it's not like we're sending them to Minnesota.

Martha's Vineyard is awesome.

It's a really great place to visit.

But my point, though, was I heard some people on the right saying, I don't care, lie to them lie lie all you want no i don't want to be that and like and i think there is this disconnect on uh certainly on the left who have abandoned all

uh all core principle at this point

and i think there's a temptation on the right to do similar things because

Now, I'm not saying DeSantis even did this, again, to be clear,

but because, look, they've gone so far, so we need to go so far.

And whether we're going to stick with our principles or not is, look, that's a relic of a pastime.

And honestly, part of it I understand, like part of it emotionally, I get, right?

Like

they're using these things and we need to be able to fight fire with fire.

There's nothing immoral about sending them to different places.

You could say that's why I said any place in America.

They're coming to America.

Why do they have to stop in Texas and Arizona and California?

That's fighting fire with fire within the realm of principle.

Spread the pain out.

That is, yeah.

And everyone, as DeSantis said, everyone should experience a piece of the burden.

And

especially if you're a sanctuary city.

Yeah.

And when you're saying you're a sanctuary.

So again, that's, to me, fighting fire with fire within the realms of principle, right?

Within the realms of, because I don't want to be the left.

I don't want to be them.

I don't want to be them.

I'd rather lose than become them.

Yes.

Wow.

If you go, if you go beyond that and you you start breaking your principles in this battle, then I think you've crossed a line that I'm not comfortable with.

Now, everyone else on earth might be comfortable with it.

And so it doesn't matter what I think.

And I'll just live by my lonesome, probably under a bridge somewhere.

And I'm fine with that.

That's my choice.

But I do think that there is a line.

And it's a line that I know this audience over the years has

given healthy respect to.

There are plenty of times we've pushed back and tried to do things and not crossed lines of principle.

And I think that's important.

And I honestly think both Abbott and DeSantis have done that here.

I do too.

I don't,

unless some of these wild claims are true, which we have no evidence of at this point, but

I don't think there's any evidence they've done this.

But I do think it is something that in a war, which what it feels like on a day-to-day basis sometimes here, not a literal war, but as close as you can get it politically, it's tempting to go down those roads.

We have to make sure we don't.

We have to make sure that we win and we win in a way that holds up what we believe in.

Because if you break that, you haven't won.

Right.

And when I see that as, I mean, there's a couple of things that I think that I'm looking for.

Will the country humble itself before it's forced to humble itself?

Because the humbling is coming.

It's coming, you know.

And if we humble ourselves before it's coming, maybe we turn the tide, you know.

Maybe we are a little more kind to each other when it does hit.

We have to humble ourselves and realize, you know, I was talking to Dennis Prager this weekend.

He said

he's fascinated by my alcoholism.

And I said, well, that's something weird to be fascinated by.

But he said,

You know, how can alcoholics save the country?

Because he was referring to me for years, been saying, you know, alcoholics will save the country.

Sure.

And just think of this as a 12-step program here.

Just think of a few of the first steps.

First thing the country has to do, admit we have a problem.

And not just the right or the left, all of us.

We got a problem.

This is not.

working.

And we keep sending people in and going, hey, you can be our savior.

You can fix it all.

And they betray us for the most part, exception Donald Donald Trump.

He actually did do what he said he was going to do.

But

we are powerless over this.

Okay.

We have a problem and we're powerless over it.

Now

you turn to a higher power.

And that doesn't mean somebody in Washington.

That means somebody that is above all of it.

All of it.

Well, that's a place for God.

And you surrender to that.

That is the essential first step to healing and correcting any problem.

I got a problem.

I've tried everything.

Everything I tried doesn't work.

So I'm clearly not the guy to fix it.

I'm pretty powerless over this.

You know, I am taking my hands off the steering wheel and I am trusting a higher power.

And I am so broken and beaten down that I'll do whatever you tell me to do.

What do you want me to do, God?

What do you want me to do?

Because I'll do it.

We have to get there.

After that, it's, hey, make an inventory of all the people that you've hurt.

You think we're willing to do that?

No.

Because it would immediately go into, yeah, that's right.

You are bad.

See, I told you you were bad.

You're really bad.

And you owe that person money.

No, no.

Can we just look at the things that we've done and say, these were good.

These were bad.

These we should do more of, those we should do less of.

If we can get there,

that would be even a bigger miracle.

Because at the end of the 12th, the 12th is

serve.

I'm going to serve my fellow man.

I'm going to help people who have been struggling just like

me.

And I'm not doing it for politics or money or anything else.

I'm just going to do it because I know I've been saved.

So I want to help serve other people.

That's the America that we should be striving towards.

But who is talking about

surrender?

And by the way,

surrender,

another way to look at it again for alcoholics.

I didn't give in and go, you know what?

I surrender.

I'm powerless over alcohol, so I'm just going to drink some more.

That's not what it means.

It means surrender to a higher power because you keep trying to stop it and you can't stop it.

Yeah, it's not a surrender to a loss.

It's a surrender so you can win.

So you can win.

So you can win.

All right, back in just a minute.

Here's a little update from Goldline, some research the mainstream media never published, but they had access to.

Report was released, then buried by the Fed back on July 27th that directly contradicts their own public statements about excessive interest rate hikes causing deep, deep recessions.

Their own study warns that a recession

and likened to our current economic situation that of a depression.

And it was published when Jerome Powell was on TV saying the opposite.

Did you see that anywhere?

The Fed was asked about the contradiction between their own study and they just pointed out, hey, we don't always agree with studies.

Sometimes we're smarter than the studies.

Okay, keep drinking.

You know what I really don't like?

No, I'm serious.

This pisses me off.

England has taken all of our songs.

They took all of our songs.

They just played My Country Tis of Thee and changed the words to God Save the King.

And it's really, that's not right.

That's just not right.

What a disgrace.

disgrace it is a disgrace that's why we broke away from that thieving country um but by the way we have uh going on right now the salute

to the royal fender smiths

fender smith i don't know what a fender smith is but they're saluting him right now it must be somebody they didn't like you know they're like Get the bagpipes.

Get Fender Smith.

Get that guy out of here.

He won't leave.

Yeah, he will.

Get the bagpipes.

Start playing him.

He'll be gone.

I think that's what they're doing now.

You seem as into the pomp and circumstance as I am.

I am.

Which is not much, I gotta say.

Look, you feel bad anytime a relative passes away.

I feel bad for the family, certainly.

But

just not interested in the royal stuff at all.

At all.

Well,

I'm kind of into it because

it's quite a show, and I'm not paying for it.

You know what I mean?

Right.

If this were my country, I would be like, how much is this costing us, guys?

To be clear, we do similar things when major figures die here.

Which is also, we shouldn't be elevating people like that.

Not quite that much.

Against the entire.

Not that much.

Not quite that much.

Yeah, I have a funeral that the family can enjoy.

Let freedom ring.

Amen.
