This

is

the Glenback Program.

Hello, America.

It is Justin Barkley in for Glenbeck today and well-deserved time off.

A little vacation and we're locked in and I guess today is sort of a federal holiday for some folks.

Some folks still off,

but we're here.

So no matter what you're doing, you're celebrating or you're working.

We're in it together.

Lots lined up today.

In fact, folks, I thought there was a fireworks shortage

Over the weekend, I learned that

wasn't true in my neighborhood, at least.

We'll talk about all of the things that happened over the weekend, the fireworks and the news, and more after this.

The Glenn Beck Program.

You know what home sellers don't need?

Drama.

Hi, it's Glenn Beck, and I've had my share of drama when I've tried to sell homes.

Tanya and I got so sick of the list of excuses and the balloons and open houses that we started RealEstateAgentsItrust.com because we don't want everybody else to feel this way too.

Great agents, we found, don't foster drama.

They just get the job done.

So now why are the agents at RealEstateAgentsitrust.com so good?

Well, first of all, my team looks at real data.

How does their production compare with other agents in town?

How long have they been the top producer?

What do their reviews and ratings look like compared to other agents?

Are they full-time or is this just kind of a part-time gig?

How do they market their homes, which will be your home?

And lastly, what is their business ethic?

All of our agents have surpassed our criteria and have taken the extra step to sign an affirmation that they do business my way.

So I urge you, go to realestate agentsitrust.com.

Let one of our agents earn your business.

Realestateagentsitrust.com.

Realestateagentsitrust.com.

Well,

welcome in.

I got to tell you, I heard just like the shortages of everything else over the weekend that fireworks were going to be an issue.

In fact, you know, we heard that maybe some places might actually have to charge more for those fireworks.

But,

you know, we've got a new baby as a family with a new baby.

Everybody's trying to sleep.

And if the dog's going crazy because she's hearing the fireworks and the baby is trying to sleep.

Well, I got to tell you, it was bigger and louder and

some might even argue better than ever this year.

And I think there's a good reason for that.

Well, there wasn't a shortage.

That's not necessarily the full reason, but I think there's a good reason for that.

After the year,

well, 15 months or more that we just went through,

people were letting off a little little steam.

Not only were folks letting off a little steam, but I do believe that after what we just went through,

oh man,

we just wanted to celebrate.

We just wanted to

feel what it's like

to come together again in so many different ways.

Like we really weren't allowed or told that we could throughout the last 15 months.

And in fact,

boy, so much changed during that time.

There was a lot

as we, as a nation, went through together

the

insanity

that was

last year.

We felt that in our personal lives, too,

the birth of our daughter.

She was born

a little early, three months to be exact, 27 weeks.

She was just two pounds and six ounces.

In fact, I think

she was just born last time I filled in for Glenn, back in,

I want to say it was back in December

around Christmas.

So I've got updates on her.

I'll fill you in on that coming up in just a little bit.

But I'll tell you, the chaos last year was heavy.

And I think,

at least I feel this way, that

some of us who

really just wanted to feel

a return to normalcy.

We kept hearing that phrase over the last year, by the way, too.

The new normal.

If I have to hear that one more time,

a light of sparkler.

and place it where somebody probably doesn't want it.

But here's the point:

folks just wanted to feel

real again.

And I understand that.

There's some things I think

promising,

promising and good news.

Some promising signs and some good news out of what I witnessed this weekend.

Although, in true true

crazy form,

some folks are at it even harder than ever.

And I just,

I will tell you, because I'm going to tell you the stories.

In fact, there's one that

Representative Corey Bush, I think she's from Missouri, like the St.

Louis area.

She's kind of one of the

wacky squad far-left

folks.

And she's been in the news before, but over the weekend, she made comments like this.

And by the way, the pushback that she got, the reason we're talking about this is sort of the good news because people said, are you serious?

She said over the weekend that, quote, black people still aren't free

to celebrate July 4th.

She went on to say, this land is stolen.

And this story from the Blaze,

Freshman Representative Corey Bush, member of the so-called squad far left, triggered a tsunami of backlash on Sunday when she said Independence Day is not about celebrating freedom for all Americans.

She said America is a stolen land.

Black people aren't free.

And when people declare that Independence Day is about celebrating freedom, they mean for white people only.

When they say that the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this, she says.

The freedom they're referring to is

for white people.

This land is stolen.

Black people still aren't free.

Well,

tell that to the millions of Americans who celebrated.

The millions of Americans

who got together with friends and family.

Yeah, we may have lit off fireworks.

We may have had a burger or a hot dog or

relaxed by the pool or the beaches, no matter where we are or what we did.

Freedom is in the heart.

And I would argue it's in the heartland as well, because I think we saw that throughout the entire country this weekend.

And a return

to normalcy.

in a lot of ways

that I think most folks on the left don't want to see.

They want

more of what happened over the last year or so.

They want more of the lockdowns.

They want more of the restrictions.

They want more control over your life.

So

as you

see statements like this,

now I don't, I'm not surprised by this.

It does sadden me to hear these type of things because

I know what it means.

And I know that when these people make these statements,

they only want one thing.

That's just to divide us.

To completely divide us.

It's not about racism.

It's not about any of the isms.

It's not about climate change.

It's not about any of that stuff.

Although we'll talk about all these different things that they're

fighting for and screaming about from the rooftops.

But the truth is, really,

what's it all about?

It's about the vision.

Because they hate.

They hate what we are.

They hate America and all she stands for.

And the truth is, they hate you.

And they hate

our children.

And so that's why we've seen this absolute invasion from within.

The indoctrination in the schools seeps into every single aspect of our daily lives and the culture.

And that is what they

want.

I mean, there's story after story.

There's headline after headline.

In fact, NPR.

Excuse me, let me get my NPR voice here ready.

NPR this weekend.

Is that good?

I want to make sure I get this.

Because over the weekend, NPR decided they were going to get in on the action too.

NPR this weekend deciding that they were going to get in on the action this weekend and they were going to talk about the Declaration of Independence and how there was a racial or racist slur in the Declaration of Independence over the weekend.

I got to be careful.

They're going to call me and try to hire me.

I don't want to work.

That would possibly be the most boring job.

I don't think

I could last very long unless I'm allowed to sleep on the, can I take naps?

They're very calming.

I don't know if you...

Have you ever stumbled upon them?

You got to be careful when you listen to the car because you might fall asleep.

And

you don't want that.

Outrage at NPR after it called the Declaration of Independence a document with flaws and deeply ingrained hypocrisies.

Well, warning their readers, it includes a racial slur.

This is the article from the Daily Mail, and I'll read it in my NPR voice.

NPR's annual July 4th reading of the historic document came with warning.

The broadcaster noted the famous promise of equality did not apply to women, enslaved people, and Native Americans living in the country.

And

this is the lie.

Of course, at the time,

as you understand it, yeah, the context of history,

it was a different world.

But as we move forward, and America, oh, dare I use the word, progressed

as it fought

tooth and nail, not just foreign enemies on the outside, but the ones from within

brother

against brother, even in some cases.

This country always has been

and continues to be about liberty,

freedom, and justice for all.

The American way.

But it's folks like NPR and

Corey Bush that

want you divided.

The question is, why?

Why do they constantly try to

drive a wedge between us all?

Especially when we're supposed to be drinking Budweiser's and eating hot dogs, launching fireworks, bottle rockets at each other.

Oh, that was just

me, maybe, when I was a kid.

But, you know,

the point is this.

The 4th of July

might

be

the most unifying holiday on the calendar.

And there's a reason

why it's under attack.

Coming up, we'll talk about that.

I want to take a quick break, but I also want to share the good news because this story and the many others along with with it over the weekend,

I think they have

some light.

Some light that comes from the, I don't know, the encouraging, maybe the hope-filled good news that you're just not hearing in some of these stories.

They're there.

And to really understand them correctly, you have to have full context.

And so that's what we'll kind of try to do today as we continue.

Justin Barkley from WOOD, that's Wood Radio and Grand Rapids, in for Glenback today on the Glenback program.

Back after this.

Blinds.com, They're 4th of July spectacular.

Rules and restrictions may apply.

Yeah, hey, you know, even

the flag.

Even all glory is problematic.

Yeah, that's what we're supposed to believe

at this day and age.

Well, you know, they're kind of setting this up.

There's another flag

that we've been following this.

You've seen and heard all about it over the month of June.

And there's another holiday.

And I believe, I don't think it's too wild or too crazy to understand this, to wrap your mind around it, but I believe

the intention

is to do kind of like,

you know, what they would do when they would conquer Romans and folks throughout history, when they would conquer one society, one civilization, would conquer the next.

So what they would do is they would go out and they would replace,

you know, like the pagan holidays with their own holidays.

Or they would replace the holy sites with their own holy sites.

There are plenty of them throughout time.

Look at the different,

you don't have to look much further than the different some of the different places,

you know, the temples and

some of the

holy sites and cathedrals throughout Europe.

I mean, it's interesting.

If you know your history, you see this is kind of what they try to do.

Now, they're not putting something directly over the top of July 4th.

I think the idea is to take it out completely.

Now,

let me get my tinfoil hat out.

Put that on here.

Let me just get that nice and straight.

I got to get the reception.

The reception's got to come in clear.

I got the 5G now.

So,

some might call you a conspiracy theorist, but you know, after your conspiracy theories continue to come true, you got to question at some point.

Okay, what is...

Now, what do you call that?

In fact,

I feel like lately that I need new conspiracy theories because they've all come true.

But it really is no mistake.

I think what we're seeing done is a replacement of the 4th of July in a lot of ways because

we have now new official summer holiday of Pride Month with the flag completely.

Now, listen.

I have had conversations with friends of mine who say, look, coming from the standpoint, you know, I'm actually gay.

And

I got to tell you, this whole thing has taken a complete turn.

I don't like the division,

the segregation that I see

in the context of what I'm hearing

in the talk of the June and Pride Month.

You know, he said, you know,

when this all started,

what we were looking for was to not be treated differently, that we wanted to be included.

What we see today is something completely different.

It's division on all fronts.

And I thought, well, you know, that's really wild.

I haven't really spent a lot of time thinking about that.

The flag now flown

in many places all over.

You even see

some municipalities flying right next to the American flag.

And in fact, I think the goal is at some point to replace the American flag.

And I'm not saying replace it with the pride flag, but maybe it's the pride flag or

the Antifa flag or whatever flag fits for that day, because you know we've got one for all occasions now.

We've got one for every group.

Everything's completely segregated and separated because the one thing we can't have in America in 2021, the one thing, no, it's not freedom or freedom of speech or any of that, but that all goes along with it.

But the one thing we can't have, we must avoid it at all costs,

is unity.

During the month of June, I don't know who said it, but I remember seeing the comments, and the truth is that we have a flag that unites everyone.

We have a flag that stands for every single American.

And that's really the beauty of of what this nation was founded on.

That's the beauty of who we are: we all come together.

It's a melting pot, this country.

The matter of race, religion,

any of these issues that are constantly used today to

drive us,

or attempt to, anyway, drive us further apart.

There's one flag

that brings us back together.

And there's a holiday

that unites us.

And that's the reason

why it's under attack.

Coming up, what's the real goal?

Why would they do this?

And I'd love to hear from you.

If you want to join the program, you can at any time.

You can get a message directly to me.

You can go to justinbarklay.com, B-A-R-C-L-A-Y.com, JustinBarklay.com.

Down at the bottom of the page, little spot to send your message.

It goes directly to me.

Shoot that to me.

I'd love to hear from you.

We'll grab some phone calls coming in.

It's Justin Barklay, and today,

filling in for Glenn on the Glenn Back Program.

This is the Glenn Back Program.

After decades of leftist ideology, desperately working to destroy everything we've ever held true and dear, our culture is a smoldering shell of what it once was.

Too many conservatives have lost the will to fight the woke mob, and our nation's fate stands on a razor's sharp edge.

Yet, from the ashes, there is rising a new generation of young conservatives, people who believe in the Constitution and the values of America, and they're going to need a lot of guidance as they take the reins to help steer this country back in the direction it's supposed to go.

That's why I'm really proud to be associated and be able to recommend the Tuttle Twins books.

If you haven't heard about them, it's time to change that.

They're fantastic books for children that teach them about American history and freedom.

If your kids or grandkids aren't reading these, they must.

Go to tuttletwinsbeck.com right now.

They're running a sale so you can get free workbooks as well.

Don't let the left cancel these books and cancel our history.

Make sure you get them for your family now, tuttletwinsbeck.com.

Doing our part to keep free speech alive.

There's much more after the break on the Glenn Beck program.

No matter how much they try it.

Oh, no matter how much they try to drive that wedge between us and divide us, tear us apart as a nation.

Ha ha ha, it's not working.

That's some of the good news.

And

I've got some proof for that.

I'll explain coming up.

Justin Barkley in for Glenn Back today on the Glenn Back program.

Do you remember this commercial from the 70s?

What's your favorite sport?

Baseball.

Sandwich?

Hot dog.

Pie?

Apple.

And what's your favorite car, America?

Chevrolet.

Let me see.

That's baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Chevrolet, huh?

Right.

Well, you sure sound like America to me.

We are.

Well, then you better tell me again, because I just might forget.

We love baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Chevrolet.

Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Chevrolet.

Now, I know it's superficial, the baseball, the hot dogs, the apple pie.

Yeah, even the Chevrolet.

But you know what?

There's a little bit of nostalgia to that.

Just watching that,

thinking about all those things were uniting.

All of those things were pieces of the culture that we could gather around, that we could somehow find a way to rally around.

Because it doesn't matter, you know,

who you identify as.

It doesn't matter what you you think you are today

it doesn't matter uh the color of your skin or what church you go to

we could all

rally

around our favorite baseball team watching america's pastime we could all

enjoy

some sort of grilled product i would think at this if it's not a hot dog you'd still throw some sort of meat on the grill

and nowadays we can't even do that.

It's got to be maybe a plant-based meat.

Let's throw a plant-based meat on the barbecue.

It doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?

But,

you know, even things like that are uniquely designed to divide us these days.

Baseball,

hot dogs, apple pie,

and Chevrolet.

Even in the commercials, even in the advertising, Madison Avenue and the rest of them spent millions

putting all that together to sell some cars.

How do they sell cars now?

Oh boy.

You and I both know.

Look at the commercials.

Now,

here's why I think

they're not successful.

And this is where I think the good news is.

I started the show off by saying, boy, I heard there was a shortage of fireworks this year.

Just like the other shortages.

Now, some of these shortages are real and some of them I think are a little artificial.

But we have issues in the supply chain for all kinds of reasons.

It's true.

Not just the inflation, but of course we've got the issues with trying to even find folks

to work.

A lot of them in many states, like states like mine, blue states, like Michigan,

where they're being paid.

to sit at home.

Of course they're not going to go back to work.

Why would you do that?

Summertime?

Go back to work now?

No.

And of course, then when the kids are back in school, yeah, I don't know if I could do that either.

If I'm still being paid, it's probably I'd probably need to stay home, you know, because the kids are going to need help with their homework.

You get the point,

but you know, there are issues.

While there are issues, I don't know that the fireworks were real or not, because I tell you last night, I heard more,

and I certainly heard plenty on Saturday, but I heard more last night than I heard Saturday.

And if I recall, last year was very similar

because we were told last year to stay home and to hunker down and to shelter in place and to not leave.

Oh my goodness.

By the way, over the weekend, Biden tweeted or somebody tweeted for him because thank God you went from a president who owned Twitter to a president who doesn't even know what a Twitter is.

I mean, this guy doesn't,

I don't think he's putting his own sentences together, let alone tweeting them on Twitter

on the toilet at 4 a.m.

I what I'm saying is I don't know

what Biden's doing, and I don't think he does even, but yesterday or over the weekend, it was tweeted on his account, let's put it that way,

that the most patriotic thing that we can do as Americans is to go get the jab if we haven't already done that.

And boy, oh boy, when you know it, there's another thing that's being used right now to divide us.

Last year, they used all kinds of interesting tactics.

Our governor here in Michigan, she used masks to divide us.

And as I started to roll the language out, I thought I said, you know, got to be careful with this.

Early on in the beginning, I caught that.

I said, you got to be, because she was telling people to go out and confront each other.

Okay, so which is it?

Are we supposed to stay six feet away from each other?

Are we supposed to go up to each other in our personal space and confront each other?

She told people to confront confront each other and people died because of it.

I think there were a couple of people shot at a dollar store over an argument over masks.

And in fact, I think one man stabbed some people waiting in line in an ice cream shop.

While another one,

I think that man eventually fled.

Police caught up with him and shot and killed him.

People died because of this division.

So, as I mentioned it, and I do believe it's good news.

Last night, I didn't see or

hear any issues with

division.

Not this weekend.

I saw a country more united, I think, than almost any time in the nation's history.

Because the truth is, every single one of us, I think,

want

very much,

at least pretty similar, very much the same thing.

We want to come together with our family.

We want to celebrate holidays like the 4th of July.

But slowly, oh, and surely, just like you would turn the Titanic, they are trying to turn this nation.

And I think it's something that we should be aware of, just like everything else.

I think it's wise, it's prudent to know what's going on.

But I think you ought to know the good news too.

And the good news is they haven't turned all of us.

And there were millions last night that weren't.

They weren't turned.

There were millions over the weekend.

They weren't turned.

So when I play this audio from this commercial, the baseball, the apple pie, you know.

Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, chevrolet.

That's baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Chevrolet.

That's a little slice of Americana right there from the 70s.

I play that commercial, and I think about the stark contrast and the difference between

the commercials we see on television now.

And I'm telling you,

it's my God instinct.

I just know for a fact.

And I think you

would probably feel the same way.

If we saw those kind of commercials today, those products would fly off the shelves.

In fact, we do see those type of advertisements and commercials for certain products,

certain niche industries.

Certainly

things like My Pillow.

And you know, you know the advertisers because they advertise right here on this program and they support

these programs.

But what if the car manufacturers and all the other companies out there, what if instead of advertising how woke they are to us and signaling how virtuous they are to us in every single commercial and really in a sense trying to drive us apart, what if they, well, I don't know, what if they tried to

wrap everybody up in their arms and unite us together, maybe under that flag?

I tell you, I think they would see

a stunning

return

to those products in a response because of the fact that it would just resonate with so many different Americans.

These things are deeply embedded.

They're ingrained in who we are.

And although they're trying to turn us,

they're not winning.

They

aren't winning.

Even though the New York Times

is now suggesting

that the flag itself

is problematic, the flag itself, they're getting hit back.

Today, flying the American flag, this is from the Times, from the back of a pickup truck or even a lawn is increasingly seen as a clue, albeit an imperfect one, to a person's political affiliation in a deeply divided nation.

You know, I often said, like,

I don't know.

It's pretty clear.

If you have a flag outside your house, I probably know who you voted for.

You don't need a lawn sign.

I probably know how you voted, at least.

Although they're drawing the connection into a disturbingly

divisive

place.

They say a person's political affiliation in a deeply divided nation

can't be ascertained by that flag.

They say deeply divided nation, but see, I see it differently.

We keep being told that we're deeply divided.

We keep being told that we're the problem.

I just don't think that's the case.

I think Why they really don't want us getting together, and they didn't through the last year, but especially for holidays like the 4th of July

is because when you do

you turn off the TV

you step out of your bubble

you join in towns

and cities all across this country with your neighbors

for fireworks celebrations big displays right next to each other

Regardless of CDC guidance,

standing next to one another,

having conversations with a hot dog in one hand and a cold drink in the other.

Talking to your neighbors,

your friends, your relatives, the people who make up this country.

They're just other folks like you and me.

The The millions of us

who just want the same thing.

A better life for our children than the one we had before us.

The freedom to do so.

Get government out of all the rest of the stuff that, you know, that causes problems.

Just let me go to work.

Just let me live my life.

Just let me enjoy the little bit of free time I have with my family.

But we're constantly being pulled into political

fights.

We're constantly being told that we're the problem.

Folks,

you're not the problem.

You're the solution.

Back after this.

You are listening to the Glenn Beck program.

So I am trying to eat healthier, and I am.

But the thing is, I don't like healthy food.

I don't like any of it.

You've heard of a fat suit, right?

I mean, there's got to be...

When are we getting a skinny suit?

Something that will make me look skinny because I just want treats all the time.

I grew up in a bakery for the love of Pete.

The bad news is no skinny suit is coming.

You actually have to do the work, blah, blah, blah.

That's why I am eating Bilt Bars.

It satisfies my sweet tooth, but it's a protein bar, but not like, you know, that's like eating stuff at the bottom of my chalkboard, usually.

This is a hundred percent real chocolate, it's low carb, low sugar.

If I'm eating a protein bar as a treat, come on, you gotta know it's good.

And I am mint, brownie, cookies, and cream, the new flavors that are coming out all the time, they're fantastic.

Yeah, we're celebrating.

Glenn's off.

Well-deserved time off.

A little vacation.

Celebrating Independence Day in the weekend.

The holiday?

While we're still allowed to.

While we are still allowed this

particular privilege these days.

Now, I make sort of a joke of that, but

what we're seeing on social media and the things that are unfolding are pretty damaging.

In fact, some of that.

Wow, you got to scratch your head and wonder.

I saw a picture of Mark Zuckerberg.

No, it was a video, actually.

He was on his, like, I don't know, what was his thing called?

Like a

hydrofoil?

Is that what they call it?

It's kind of like a surfboard, but it looks like it's self-powered.

He was riding it on a lake somewhere, holding the American flag.

Now, I understand fully what I have described to you.

Sounds like I have made this up.

This is a joke that this this couldn't be real.

That

maybe

even something back from the days when SNL was funny.

But no, this was real.

I saw this video, unless it was CGI.

I mean, that's a could be a deep fake.

I actually saw this yesterday

and I thought to myself, but that is really fascinating.

There it is.

He's celebrating something.

I don't know what it is.

It's not freedom of speech.

But even Mark Zuckerberg was getting in on the festivities why did we be

What you are about to hear is the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.

This

is

the Glenback Program.

Hello, America.

It's Justin Barkley in for Glenback today.

I'm the Glenback program.

And as we come off a year where many of us, Americans all over,

weren't free.

Literally.

We weren't free to worship.

We weren't free to go where we please

to do what we wanted to do.

Many of us over this last year.

We broke free last night and over the weekend celebrating our independence, not just today

and this country's 245-year history.

But we made a big impact and we'll talk about that.

Where does our freedom come from?

Coming up.

The Glenn Beck program.

When it comes to our families, we are more the same than different in so many ways.

You, me, all of us.

We're the VHS generation.

We recorded the love song cassette tapes from the radio.

All of those tapes are in storage and they're irreplaceable heirlooms and they're degrading and at risk of heat, mold, and fire.

But there is a solution.

It's called Legacy Box.

I'm just starting now to archive all of the tapes of me at 16 years old, all of the family films and everything through Legacy Box.

It is really simple.

It's a mail-in service.

You put all your home movies and pictures and they're digitally preserved.

on a thumb drive, a DVD, or the cloud.

The process is so easy.

You just pack and send.

Their team digitizes everything by hand and you enjoy.

We were told all through

the last 15 months or so what we could and couldn't do.

I don't know about you and where you are specifically, but I'm in Michigan.

And our governor was one of the furious five that sent, you know,

sick patients out of hospitals into nursing homes and ultimately killing thousands than telling us it was our fault for wanting to live a normal

uninhibited life

closing down different places like uh oh i i don't know uh mom and pop shops but the big box

big

corporate stores could be open

now if you went to those

different stores you know there were some guidelines

Because if you leave your bubble, if you leave your house for any

amount of time,

you're a risk.

You're a threat not only to yourself, but to others.

In fact, if you leave your house for any reason

other to

spend money at these big corporate stores,

in fact,

causing lots of the folks

associated with to become

richer by the billions.

And I've I've got no problem with money.

No problem with making a living.

I just think everyone ought to be able to make a living.

See, I call me crazy, but I think the mom and pops of the world,

you know, they ought to be able to make the same type of a living and have the same opportunity to make a living as the big box stores.

But I digress.

We were told when we went to those stores, even what we were allowed to buy and what we couldn't buy.

Do you know in in Michigan, of course, you could go to the liquor store and buy booze and lottery tickets and whatnot, but you could go to the pot store

where pot is legal.

Recreational use of marijuana legal here in Michigan.

Now that's another conversation for another day, but you could go buy pot

at the weed store,

but you couldn't buy a weed whacker at the big box store.

In fact, you couldn't buy seeds or a potted plant

at the big box store.

You really got to wonder who comes up with these things and what their true motives might be.

Of course, our governor just jumped completely all in headfirst.

In fact, speaking of jumping in, she got busted a few times.

I mean, she got busted jumping in to the water when she ran down to Florida.

Supposedly, this was supposed to be a trip to see her ailing father, which I don't begrudge her.

But then again, she didn't allow other folks in Michigan to visit or spend time with their relatives while they were in nursing homes,

hospitals, etc.

We couldn't see

our relatives, but she could fly down secretly.

As she was telling everyone else.

You can't leave the state.

Don't leave the state.

Not for spring break.

Do your part.

That's what we were told

over the last 15 months.

In fact,

her husband was busy putting a boat in, making phone calls, see if he could get some favors done.

He was caught doing this because the guy that owns the place that puts the boat in and the dock and all that apparently told that story, and then word got out, and oh boy,

she was in it.

Deep

in it.

Now we were told at one point, this is the craziness of where we were.

We were told at one point you could

go out in a boat on the water if it didn't have a motor.

But if it had a motor,

all bets were off.

We had some crazy things.

Now, she didn't go as far as

oh, crazy commie Gavin Newsome out in California.

Kelekami Gavin Newsom was out there telling you, You can't even go to church.

Don't go to church, you can't go to church.

Are you crazy?

You're going to kill people.

Of course, we saw some fights and we saw some real victories through that time.

Grateful for those.

But

you come out of a time period like that, and people see.

Well, I mean, folks, what we got here, the freedoms we enjoy are dingling by a thread.

It's a very precarious balance.

So that's why I believe we celebrated this year like never before.

As a lot of folks realize,

you know, how delicate that balance is.

Yeah.

I think

the reason for this and the insanity that we witnessed over the last 15 months, and I say this,

especially here in Michigan,

but I've seen it all over the country.

I think we're partly to blame.

I think we gave

that freedom away.

Now, don't get too upset with me.

Don't get too angry.

I still believe

these so-called folks in leadership positions, you know, that really took advantage of these issues.

I think they get the most responsibility, but I do believe that we're partially to blame here.

Why?

Because we gave our freedom away.

It's very easy to understand this.

I'll make it as simple as I can.

If we want to understand freedom, its true nature rather of liberty and where our independence comes from,

then we can really understand maybe the path that it's taken over the last 15 months and well, over the last 245 years,

we gave it away because it was ours to do so with.

It's time for us to reclaim it and take it back.

But to understand the full path, you have to know that freedom,

back in 1776, by the way,

when the founders of this country

signed the Declaration of Independence,

They did so,

not necessarily giving us freedom, but recognizing it, that the fact that we had it,

that it was ours.

It didn't come from a government they created.

It didn't even come from the document, the Declaration of Independence.

It didn't come from the Constitution.

It was no man

who gave it to us.

Our freedom came from God,

just like it does today.

See, the truth is, and this is why kids aren't taught this anymore in schools, but I've read a couple of really great books on this recently.

And I'll recommend some of them here in a little bit, but

freedom comes from God.

Our true

independence

can only come

from dependence

on God.

Freedom just isn't possible without him.

In fact, we see today a system in a lot of ways that is

at risk,

a possible collapse.

It's no mistake.

In fact, there are a lot of people that want to see that.

Our rights, our freedom, they come from God.

We can only give them away.

And we did so last year.

I never thought I'd see, and I had conversations with people in our state, high-ranking government officials

in positions where they said to me,

I never thought I'd see this day where people were begging

for the government to take their freedom away

in exchange for some sort of facade and illusion of security.

Keep me safe, whatever you do at all costs.

That was the cry at the beginning

of the last 15 months.

So, recognizing freedom doesn't come from government,

but it comes from God.

And, of course, our government

is set up in a very limited way.

And so, the Constitution does is it limits the government's powers.

It doesn't

limit our freedoms.

But we understand these things.

We can understand why we see a situation today where a system just doesn't seem to work at some points.

Capitalism in its purest form certainly does.

We've proven that.

Capitalism is under attack these days because what we've got now

isn't pure capitalism.

In fact,

without that moral fabric

of our Judeo-Christian values, without the foundation,

we drift further and further away from God.

And the more broken this system gets, the worse it becomes.

What's left in its wake is what we see right now.

This current mode of crony capitalism, where

it's really oligarchy.

The few rich, the powerful, they join the government.

They decide what goes for the masses.

Matter of fact,

I'm done with my free 15-month trial.

You can take it back.

I'm canceling because that's what we had

all last year:

the rich,

the wealthy, the powerful, the elected officials, and making decisions about where you could go and what you could do,

operating as one.

And that

is what we're fighting, folks.

It's dangerous.

That's the system they truly want.

One based

on a current system of operation

in a country

not too far away

where

viruses are

coming out of labs, apparently.

I don't know.

Are we allowed to talk about that story anymore?

The latest from Dr.

Fauci.

We have some updates on that, too.

Plus, some of the craziness that we're seeing online and social media as government works together with private big corporations to do some of the scariest things.

Coming up, one man who's fighting back, he's been on the front lines of this with his company.

Justin Barkley for Glenn Back Today and the Glen Back program.

And yeah, coming up, we're going to talk with,

as I said, a man who is very close to this fight, social media censorship.

And he's seeing it up close and personal, even

with his company, which you wouldn't, you

know, yes, nowadays, nothing's off limits.

But

he's fighting the fight in a very specific way.

Coming up up to the bottom of the hour, we'll talk with him.

You know,

I continue to see these stories.

And it is,

it's concerning because

what we're seeing right now isn't how this whole thing is supposed to work.

The Representative Republic,

people like me and you, everyday folks, involved in self-governance.

I talked about this earlier, but you can't have freedom if you don't have

God.

And in some ways, you might even say you can't have freedom if you don't have religion.

We hear about freedom of religion.

And that's really turned into freedom from religion.

And if you go back and study this stuff, you start to realize that the things you're told in school and what people are being indoctrinated with, your kids right now are being taught these things,

are completely false.

They're just not true.

In fact,

I probably don't know this, but our founders.

Oh man, I've got to read this to you.

Our founders were so profoundly

religious,

spiritual,

Christian,

you just wouldn't believe it if I read some of you, the interesting things.

This comes from America's Godly Heritage.

It's a book by David Barton.

I think I got it on the Wall Builder website, wallbuilders.com.

So

here's just a story about the Liberty Bell in the front of this.

He talks about how

in the picture of Independence Hall, how the founders gathered together to approve and complete the separation from Great Britain on July 4th.

They approved it.

And on the 8th, they carried the Declaration outside of Independence Hall.

They read it to an assembled crowd and then rang the Liberty Bell.

And most folks

think that

it's called the Liberty Bell because it first denounced liberty, but that's not the truth.

It's actually called the Liberty Bell because of the biblical inscription

emblazoned

around it.

The passage from the Bible, Scripture,

Leviticus 25:10 10.

Proclaim liberty throughout the land to all the inhabitants thereof.

If we were supposed to be so separated

from religion,

why would that be inscribed on the bell?

You know,

I was very interested to read the lives

of the founders

and how many of them went to church together.

In fact, they would have Bible studies and

prayer gatherings before

they would get down to business in Congress.

But those are stories that you just wouldn't hear anywhere else.

And as history is being erased and rewritten today,

so is our current events.

We'll tell you how.

When we talk to one social media founder or who's being censored.

We'll explain that and how he's fighting back coming up.

This is the Glenback program.

You know, every

day

there is something insane happening in the news, literally

every day.

And as those true events take place,

I often find the need to check in

with a very specific source.

It's not the usual go-to

that you might think of, you know, oh, not the New York Times, the paper, a record, people like that.

No, I actually

like to check in when I hear some of the craziest things happening

with the Babylon Bee.

Now, don't laugh, or actually, they may be okay with you doing that,

because that's their whole intention.

They write satire, and they are

deadly serious.

And boy, does it sting sometimes.

Isn't that what satire is supposed to do?

And so

I thought to myself, you know, when I heard the story that they were being targeted

by big tech, social media censorship, it's just a matter of time.

Why are they coming after the Babylon Bee?

Because they're effective.

And their chief, Seth Dillon, joins us now in the Glenbeck program.

Seth, thanks for being here with us today.

Appreciate it.

Yeah, thanks for having me on.

Glad to be here.

So as I mentioned, I don't think I'm alone on this, but every time I hear something crazy happening in the news, which is every day,

there's a headline, there's something that's a real story.

I then got to go find out, okay, how did you guys cover it?

Because that, in a lot of ways, it really does.

It sort of shows me, like, okay, and this is how I, this is how I feel.

I think a lot of most of us, and I think that's why the popularity of the B has risen so

sharply, is because people feel this way and they relate to that humor.

There's stinging truth in all of it.

Yeah, well, it's a rich environment right now for satire.

That's for sure.

In some ways, it does make the job harder, though, because satire's project is to exaggerate the truth to make its points.

And like you said, when we wake up and we read the news every day, the news is so insane, so absurd.

You know, it's hard to make, it's hard to exaggerate things like reporters standing in front of burning buildings describing the situation as mostly peaceful.

You know, like that kind of stuff is, it's, it's difficult to satirize.

So it makes the job challenging.

But yeah, it's also, it's also good to bring some levity and get people laughing and,

you know, but also thinking about these things.

How often, though, does it happen?

Because I've seen this, it's almost like prophecy, the Babylon B prophecy now, where, you know, I say like you can't make this stuff up, but apparently you guys did, and you did it maybe a little bit in advance.

And now here's, you know, life imitating art right in front of our eyes.

Well, yeah, that's the challenge.

So, okay, the challenge is to stay a step ahead of reality, right?

Because reality is moving at breakneck pace towards insanity.

We exaggerate it to make our points and to make our jokes go through.

And sometimes, literally within like minutes or hours,

something that we've written that was satirical at the time we wrote it comes out in a real headline.

So that's happening pretty frequently.

It doesn't happen every day, but usually every couple of weeks, there's something that we published either very recently or even sometimes like one or two years ago that ends up coming true and mark it down as a fulfilled prophecy, which is, you know, it's comical on the one hand, but it's also kind of depressing on the other.

What is, like, if you think back to this, Seth Dylan is on with us now from Babylon B.

If you have to think back to maybe the first one that you remember, or maybe the one that makes the biggest impact on you, it was a story that you guys wrote or something that you put together.

And then it just, you thought this was wild, maybe it'll never happen, but then there it was, real life.

Well, I mean, there's a million examples.

I mean, some recent ones, like even some light-hearted ones, like we made a joke

back in the middle of the pandemic when things were bad last year

about how,

you know, there were increased sales of

shirts, but not pants because everyone was working from home.

And we showed a picture of a guy sitting there in his boxers.

And then the very next day, Yahoo Finance published a story about how Walmart was seeing increased sales of tops, but not bottoms.

Like almost to a word, like exactly the headline that we had joked about was actually true.

But there's other ones too, where you know, it just shows that we're right on, we're right on with our criticism of

the mainstream or legacy media and

how they

just try to distort things and cover things from their own narrative.

We did a story on how President Trump during the Abraham Accords

was ignoring COVID protocols.

And

that was how CNN was going to cover it, right?

Trump ignores COVID protocols and shakes hands with foreign leaders.

And then three hours later, CNN publishes a headline where that was what they covered.

It wasn't the monumental occasion that was happening on your screen.

It was Trump disregards COVID protocols

and disregards distancing at the Abraham Accords.

It's like, that's not the story here.

That's not the story.

But that kind of stuff happens all the time.

I think maybe one of the most egregious was when we made a joke about how Black Lives Matter had been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, and then it actually happened.

Incredible moments in the history of the Babylon B.

And

Seth, I just realized you guys had

just reached a big milestone on Twitter, too.

You now have a million followers there.

So the popularity growing by leaps and bounds.

And I think it's because you're effective.

Matter of fact, that's that's probably why you guys are under attack.

What's the latest and what have you found with big tech and censorship right now?

Yeah, so that is a big milestone.

A million followers on Twitter.

We just recently hit a million on Instagram, too.

And a lot of people will point to that and say, what's censorship?

What are you talking about?

Look, you got a huge following.

People are following you in droves.

But our success on those platforms is despite the fact that we're facing huge setbacks from attacks from the media and suspensions.

Like our Twitter page page has been suspended.

Our Facebook page has been, our posts have been pulled and we've been demonetized several times.

We've been threatened with being deplatformed there.

MailChimp suspended us recently and then apologized and turned us back on.

But there's been this coordinated effort between big tech and the media in the last couple of years

as the crackdown on fake news was really happening and they were trying to stop the spread of misinformation.

You started seeing our posts getting fact-checked all the time

and rated false.

And then we were getting threatened with being deplatformed if we continued sharing false information.

And we had to defend ourselves and say, this is not fake news.

This is, well, it is fake news, but it's not fake news intended to mislead.

It's fake news intended to entertain.

This is satire.

So we've been constantly in this battle to assert our right to be on these platforms.

And the media, what's really interesting with the media is that they've been trying to generate this narrative where we're not really satire, we're pretending to be satire to just get around Facebook's rules against the spread of misinformation.

So that's what happened with the New York Times recently, where they called us a far-right misinformation site that traffics in misinformation.

And that kind of stuff, you know, like on the one hand, you know, we want to joke about that and make fun of them for being,

you know,

for

misrepresenting us that way and trying to make people think that there's something malicious about our satire.

But on the other hand, we got to take it really seriously because next thing you know, we are going to get the boot from these social media platforms on the basis of lies like that.

It's in fact New York Times that's spreading misinformation about us, not the other way around.

So it's been an ongoing battle, but we've had some successes and we continue to fight back.

I'm not taking any of it lined out.

What do you make about this latest craziness about, and I've been watching this over the last couple of days with Facebook and these warnings about you may have come in contact with extremist content and or you in fact may be an extremist.

It's almost like, you know, do you have an American flag flying outside of your house?

Do you have a Bible?

Did you attend church yesterday?

You may be an extremist.

What do you make of it?

I mean, it's so crazy that this is the world we live in.

We're starting to see Facebook doing something like this.

It's nuts.

Yeah, it feels very Orwellian, doesn't it?

And again, that's a rich atmosphere for satire.

We're making plenty of jokes about this.

I'm personally concerned because I have not been yet warned that I might be an extremist or have affiliation with extremists.

You know, I think I should have that warning on me.

And I'm a little concerned that Facebook doesn't think of me that way.

I think, look, honestly, it's a badge of honor

when people like the New York Times are coming after us and trying to smear us.

I would much rather have them doing that than praising us and saying that we're great.

So I think it's a good thing.

I think it means that we're on the right track, honestly.

But the stuff with big tech and putting out those warnings, I mean, it's very ominous, isn't it?

It's no laughing matter on one hand because they're basically looking for you to rat on your friends and your neighbors and expose them for being extremists.

I made a joke about this.

I said, you know, I'm concerned that

some of my friends are pro-abortion, that they're okay with abortion.

Does that count?

You know, it's just, it's amazing how views on one side of the political spectrum are considered extremism, but not on the other.

Yeah,

it really is something.

I mean, when you guys started this was this all your always the plan or was there i mean what what was like what was the kind of the spark with the babylon b i mean you probably had no idea you would be where you are today and that could see this coming

no but the guy uh adam ford is the founder of the babylon b he started it in 2016 and he did see that there was a absolutely huge opportunity to go into um

to tap into this untapped market where people on the right were not, you know, the left has always been very good at satire, at mockery, at ridicule.

You know, they've always been great at, and I think a lot of the reason is because they don't have great arguments for their position.

They resort to ridicule because,

you know, that's how they think they're refuting you.

But the right has historically been much worse at that.

And so there was a huge void there that the Babylon Bee filled.

So the site took off like crazy when it was first launched.

And I think that was, you know, credit to Adam for seeing that opportunity there and executing on it real well.

I think the Babylon Bee was able to do conservative Christian humor that wasn't cheesy and that really connected with people.

It was, you know, it was snarky and it was fun and it was biting and it stung on both sides and didn't really pull back, pull any punches on anybody.

You know, Trump was one of our biggest targets during his presidency.

So I think that's part of the reason why the B has been so successful.

So, Seth Dellon with the Babylon Bee right now,

just last kind of thing before I let you go is you guys, it must be a fun work environment, but you're finding yourself in some serious places too.

You know, where do you see all of this going?

You're so much, I don't know if it's if it's a prophetic thing or if it's, you know, I'm not asking you to get the crystal ball out or anything, but just because you're so close to it, maybe, where do you see us headed

and what's resonating with people on your website and the things, the content you guys produce, and where we're headed as a country?

Well, I mean, just for where we're headed, I mean, we're going to continue to see a lot of these attacks.

You know, we're seeing the landscape evolve a little bit.

I think these attempts to label us as misinformation and shut us down and suppress our speech have failed.

You know, our victory against the New York Times and getting them to retract those statements is evidence of that.

But now they're switching course and they're attacking from a different angle.

And we have Facebook now saying that satire that is down is not allowed.

That doesn't count as satire because it's hate speech disguised as satire.

And now you've got, you know, you've got media outlets like Slate writing articles days later after that policy is announced that the Babylon B has a nasty tendency to punch down.

So I think that's the new line of attack.

They're going to say that we're spreading hatred under the guise of satire instead of misinformation under the guise of satire.

So there's going to be this ongoing battle where we are defending ourselves and our right to speak freely, our right to make these jokes that we on the left wants us to make because these are protected targets.

I mean, this whole idea idea that we're punching down is just so insane.

We are punching back and we're punching up at all these, this top-down tyranny from the progressive left.

You know, their ideas that are being imposed on everyone from the biggest corporations, celebrities, politicians.

It's all coming from high up.

And so when we push back on that and we fight back, they try to say that we're punching down.

That's just absurd.

And the idea that you can punch down anyway, that, you know, oh, don't make jokes about women, that's punching down.

Why do you say that?

Are women beneath me?

I don't think that.

So, you know, it's just we're in a crazy environment right now where we're still defending ourselves against a lot of that nonsense.

But as far as where this is all going, I try to stay optimistic, and I hope the pendulum swings back the other way.

Seth Dellon, thank you so much for being here with us.

Good luck to you, man.

And we appreciate it.

Keep up the great work at the Babylon B.

Thanks so much.

Appreciate you.

Coming up,

another quick break.

We'll be back with you.

You want to grab the phone calls to 888727-BEC.

That's 888-727-B-E-C-K.

Back after this.

This is the Glenn Beck Program.

You remember the saying, if you love something, set it free.

If it doesn't come back, it was never yours to begin with?

That's a beautiful sentiment, and I feel so warm and fuzzy inside.

But when it comes to your identity or your money, the folks at Life Lock and I strongly disagree with that sentiment.

Don't set it free.

All those nights working overtime, saving up your money, paying off the debt, now some identity thief wants to set it free?

I say block the crap out of them.

That's why Life Lock by Norton helps monitor your information and alerts you to potential identity threats.

And if you do become a victim, a dedicated U.S.-based specialist will be there to help fix it.

Nobody can prevent all identity theft or monitor all transactions at all businesses, but when identity thieves try to take what's yours, don't take it lying down.

Thanks to Seth, of course, from the Babylon Bee for joining us.

If you want to check that interview out, you missed it, go to glenbeck.com.

Their story, their headline from yesterday.

Facebook warns anyone attending 4th of July fireworks that they may have been exposed to extremist activity.

Jumping on the phone line real quickly at 888-727-BEC.

Libby in Virginia, wanted to grab a quick phone call.

How are you?

Welcome in.

Hi, thank you so much.

Yeah,

I'm calling from a third world county in Virginia.

I guess it won't be mentioned right now.

I'll mention it later.

I did want to just let the moms know they really got to pay attention to what's going on at their schools.

I was busy working.

My husband was in the military.

We tried to get our kids and Christian, raise them right and everything.

Send my daughter to college and think she's nestled all into Virginia Tech in a safe environment.

And she comes back and tells me that the gay and lesbian

organization is the biggest one

in that

school.

And I'm shocked, but I'm going on working and going on with my life.

My boy, oh my goodness, those toe-headed boys, the toe-headed boys are getting treated like dirt.

Now they're going to live off their girlfriends and their mothers because they were not given an education.

I'm sorry if I'm quivering, but I'm so upset.

I'm so excited.

Lebby, hang on the phone.

Hang on the phone with us for a second.

Unfortunately,

we're up against the clock here.

You're not alone.

Stand up.

The fight isn't over.

Just hang in there.

What you are about to hear is the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.

This

is

the Glenback Program.

Hello, America.

It's Justin Barkley in for Glenn Beck today from WOOD.

That's Wood Radio in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The sun is shining.

It's a gorgeous day here.

Glenn's got a well-deserved little time off, and that means we're together.

You can join the program at 888-727-BECK.

That's 888-727-BEC.

I want to hear from you today.

We'll wrap some phone calls.

But what is wrong with Joe Biden?

He was in our neck of the woods, in fact, earlier this weekend.

And another day,

something strange, another event went down.

You'll hear the latest after this on the Glenbeck program.

The Glen Beck Program.

So there is a great service out there.

It is called Vid Angel.

It allows you to skip unacceptable stuff in movies and TV shows.

And you know what I mean when I say unacceptable.

The blood, the gore, the salty language, the risque, Mrs.

Robinson, are you trying to seduce me moments?

Well, that's where VidAngel gets in.

You get to watch the show or the movie you want, but you can filter out all the stuff you don't want, and you decide where that line is.

VidAngel is so easy to set up that anyone can do it.

It's a piece of cake.

You just go to vidangelbeck.com, you sign up, you connect your streaming services, you set your filters, and that's it.

You've just made a movie a lot friendlier.

You can watch all those movies that you've wanted to watch, edited really by you through Vidangel.

If you go to vidangelbeck.com today, you enter the promo code Beck at checkout, you're going to get 50% off your first three months.

Don't worry though, you can cancel it anytime.

Just go say yes to your kids with vidangel.

I

am a bit confused.

And actually, it's not just me, it's everyone else trying to understand

the words of the leader of the free world.

He's just getting hammered

on

by foreign media right now.

Not here in the States,

but people asking serious questions about what is wrong

with Joe Biden?

And

I think it's kind of clear.

He was in Michigan earlier this weekend, in fact, celebrating,

they say,

the victories of some of the COVID restrictions being lifted.

I thought to myself, isn't that interesting that he was with someone who actually implemented those restrictions?

Well, our governor.

he toured different places in the beautiful, picturesque Traverse City, Michigan.

It's absolutely, it's beautiful.

It's gorgeous.

Cherry capital of the world.

And if you've never been, I highly recommend it.

One of our favorite places to go.

A little up north, as we say here in Michigan, but it's a fantastic spot.

And the water there is crystal clear.

It's like a postcard.

And it's freshwater.

But it looks like, you some tropical,

the blue water is just amazing.

Just like you would see in some sort of tropical destination, but it's our piece or a little slice of paradise up here.

One of the things you do, you go to town,

you just stop into the various shops,

you grab some ice cream, maybe check out some, get some cherries, things of that nature.

You enjoy, you make yourself a tourist even in those places.

And that's part of what he did yesterday.

And in this particular clip, you're going to hear the president pressed by one member of the press about cyber attacks that happened on Friday, hundreds of companies right before the holiday attacked.

Very serious issue.

And we've seen this happen numerous times.

This, off the heels of the

meeting that the president had with Putin, or

we were told that he was going to have a conversation with him and things were going to be straightened out.

Right.

Oh, this is all about that and whether or not the Russians were involved.

And I can't make out what he's saying.

Sure.

The reporter asks him, can I ask you a question?

He's checking out,

having a conversation with the cashier.

He looks at the reporter as if he's dazed at first.

She said, can I ask you a question?

Well, she already did, but nothing beside that.

He looks at her dazed and then eventually realizes what she says.

You can see the processing taking place, and then he says, Sure.

After

with the most recent hack by the Russians, would you say that this means I'm not sure it's the Russians?

Okay, would you

as I was on the plane?

That's why I was late getting off the plane.

I got a brief, and

this is this is This is like dead.

He kind of like dead air, just kind of pauses.

And then the

goes on to maybe, well, did I try and think about this?

And they're trying to check him out, so they ask some more questions, gathering some of his stuff together.

Do you like Gary?

See how it might be, sir?

I'll be in better shape to talk to you about it.

He says, I'll be in better shape to talk to you about it.

He's going to say, like, later on,

but he then reaches into his coat pocket to pull out his cheat sheet

to see if he's got an answer on there for

this is a

vast contrast between

the present and previous resident.

I'm looking at his cheat sheet, can't find anything.

I'll tell you what they sent me.

Okay.

Hang on.

Let me look it up.

The idea, first of all, we're not sure who it is for certain, number one.

And what I did, I directed the full resources of the government to assist in the response if we determine what else you need.

Oh, nothing.

You're all set.

Okay.

And

the fact is that direct to the intelligence community, you can give me a deep dive on what's happened, and I'll know better tomorrow.

And if it is,

either with the knowledge of and or a consequence of Russia, then I told Putin we will respond.

You didn't tell him already, sir?

No, no.

I haven't called because

we're not certain.

The initial thinking was it was not the Russian government.

But we're not sure yet.

There we have it.

That's the leader of the free world.

The man with the codes

to the nuclear football.

And it's easy to laugh at this kind of thing, but at the end of the day, the truth is, I mean, it's very serious.

I pray for that guy.

And

folks in the media,

the forum media,

they have taken notice.

He's being mocked for this online.

The media here in America, not so much.

In fact, that's what happens when

you ask this president without a teleprompter.

He barely had his, and thank goodness he had his cheat sheet for that.

His little card he pulled out of his pocket.

But that's what happens when he's without a teleprompter and he's asking.

Now, that is a friendly reporter

who just wanted

a simple bit of information on that story, probably for a story that that person is working on.

That's the toughest, and that's as tough as it gets for him.

But we've seen him explode in reporters recently.

This is a big deal.

A problem

when he's not asked, you know, the kind of questions that they probably should have stuck to when he was

visiting the picturesque Traverse City here in Michigan.

Questions about ice cream.

Mr.

President, what kind of ice cream is that?

What's your favorite kind of ice cream?

Oh, he loves to talk about that.

That he doesn't eat a chi-chi for.

Now, in all fairness, I wouldn't either.

You know, if you saw me, you'd probably know I'm just as much a fan of ice cream as Biden is.

But here's the video of him a couple of months back in Cleveland being asked after a visit there what kind of ice cream he was eating and how enthusiastic he was to answer that question.

Mr.

President, what are you doing?

Chocolate, chocolate, chip.

Mr.

President, what is your message to Republicans who are prepared to block the January 6th commission?

Wow, wow, there you go.

So then he goes on to answer that question.

And boy,

Dayside Jay-Z just loves that chocolate, chocolate chip.

But I could blame him.

It's a delicious flavor, ice cream in itself.

I don't know.

I don't know if you can go wrong.

But it does make, it sort of makes that point.

And the question is: when we continue to see this footage, what is wrong with Biden?

I got the

$1.9 trillion relief so far.

Constantly whispering.

I I mean, it's really strange.

Making the certain and then going from whispering to yelling.

I'll laid an effective strategy to mobilize true international depression.

Yeah, I remember that.

That was the famous Tribune Sheriff of Depressors speech

of Biden.

He wrote the bill.

Yeah.

On the environment.

He wrote the bill.

He wrote it.

On the environment.

Barack and I think it's a right for people to have bad attempts.

Yeah, I agree.

I mean, who doesn't?

Who doesn't realize and recognize it's a right to batter their

whatever that was?

120 days.

Give me a break.

120 days.

Give the man a break and a scoop of his favorite chuck-a-chuck-a-chip.

It's the best.

Oh, after a long day on the campaign trail and the business of this country, that's what the leader of the free world settles down to.

A little chucket fuck a chip.

He's not the only one in the administration though.

Jen Pasaki

is constantly being called out.

I don't know if you caught this.

The Fourth of July, they put out some really interesting statistics about,

well, the cost of things.

and the cost of your 4th of July celebration.

They wanted to make the point that the, well, this administration's economy is improving.

Although I think you and I probably

can

tell a difference because when you go

when you go to pay for, oh, I don't know, gas at the pump, you see a difference?

The cost of everything, inflation is through the roof.

But there's one thing they found.

There's one thing they found.

that has gone down.

And that

is what she shares next.

Quick break.

We'll be back right after this and grab your calls to a 888727B.

That's 888-727-B-E-C-K.

Saving money has never been more important.

We all have to make sure our financial house is in order, especially at times like these.

But what more can you do to add money to your budget?

How about you refinance your mortgage?

A viable solution that may save you up to $1,000 a month.

Here's how it works.

You call American Financing, the mortgage consultants, for a free mortgage review.

No obligation, no pressure, no upfront or hidden fees.

Just a simple conversation around which loan program may be a better fit.

So don't put it off any longer.

Make the call right now.

Do your homework and see how much you can save.

You might even be able to postpone two mortgage payments.

Justin Barkley filling in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program.

Jen Plasaki defending her statement when she's called out by Peter Doocy, who, thank God, thank God Peter Doocy is there

in the briefing room to ask these questions because it's exactly what you and I are thinking.

Okay, on another subject, the official White House account tweeted yesterday, the cost of a 4th of July bookout is down 16 cents from last year.

16 cents.

There has been a reduction in some of the costs of key components of the

4th of July barbecue.

I think it was hot dogs, in fact.

I think that is what I read.

It was a hot dog.

That is 16 cents cheaper.

And that is what we're supposed to throw a parade over, apparently, according to the Biden administration.

That was what the tweet was noting.

So, does the White House think that 16 cents off a barbecue has more of an impact on people's lives than gas being a dollar more this time this fast.

I would say if you don't like hot dogs, you may not care of the reduction of costs.

You don't have to like hot dogs.

For six months,

I will say that what we are most focused on is the fact that we've created now more than 3 million jobs since the president took office.

That's what we're focused on and continuing to implement additional components of his economic build-back better agenda.

Let's just circle back some fireworks there in the briefing room.

But Peter's got the great point.

I talked about this a week ago.

So your picnic, your barbecue is 16 cents cheaper, but it costs you an arm and a leg to get there with the gas.

This is not

a win-win.

I'm still in the red.

I'm not in the black here.

So it's not just the president.

It is other folks around him that oftentimes don't make sense.

888-727-BEC, 888-727-B-E-C-K, Chris in Florida on the Glenback program.

Appreciate you being here with us today, Chris.

Hi, Seek.

Oh, we lost Chris.

I think that's a conspiracy.

I really do.

I just saw on the screen what he wanted to say,

and I am convinced.

Now, I still have my tinfoil hat on from earlier, but I am.

Hang on, let me straighten it.

Straighten it out.

I'm convinced that we lost him because somebody didn't want that call getting on the air.

I'm going to tell you.

So I saw the, and I'll just tell you what it was because I think it's a good point.

And Chris, if you're listening, you can call back.

I'll

allow you, if we have time to get you back in, I'll squeeze you back in.

From the free state of Florida, nevertheless.

But Chris was making the point about the 25th Amendment.

And,

you know, we heard so much about this with the last, with the previous president.

Why

nothing now?

I mean, there were whole

reports and pieces and all these things that were done.

That we're talking about, well, is Trump fit for office?

He is unfit.

It appears that he's under people in the cabinet that are contemplating, holy cow.

Oh, we got Chris back.

Let's take him while we can.

Chris, before they try, I don't know who they are, but before they try to take you off the air again, we've got to get you back in.

What did you want to say, buddy?

The 25th

amendment that allows the cabinet or somebody to get the president out of office if he's unable to do his job.

That was pushed by Pelosi back in the last administration.

She said, it's not for Trump, it's for future presidents.

And I think that it might be interesting right now if Republicans push that issue with the schism and the rift that's between the Kamala Harris office and the Joe Biden office.

And we say, Joe Biden is obviously not fit to be president.

Let's get somebody else in there.

And they would be like, well, no, we don't want Kamala in there.

Let's just

not be crazy about this.

What are your thoughts on that?

Hey, you remember the movie Dumb and Dumber, right?

Yes, I do.

Well,

this scenario is like worse and worser because

you got, who do you have in line here?

You have Kamala

who is

right after the president.

Should he be labeled incapacitated?

And then, well,

if something were to happen with her or let's say she was, I don't know, unfit.

I'm just imagining that.

Well, I've got the question.

Once Biden would be removed, wouldn't there be an appointment for the vice president who would then be second in line again?

We're not looking at the going down the line.

I don't know.

So, who can we put who you're thinking?

Maybe there's somebody better.

Because

I don't know about you, Chris, but I don't think Biden's running the show as it is.

Absolutely not.

So

I think they literally give him a schedule and say, here's where we're going out.

And then they give him his cheat sheet.

Okay, Joe, if they ask you about any of these things, pull out your cheat sheet.

You know what to say.

And it's unfortunate as it is.

I mean, I just think that's the reality.

And

with Connelly in there, God only knows what we would say.

But you think at least what you're saying, if I understand this correctly, is that you think at least, hey, this might be a good strategy

by the Republicans to sort of gum up the works and maybe cause some division with the administration and what's happening there.

Driving the wedge.

Yeah.

Okay.

Well, a little bit of their own medicine is what you're saying here.

That's where the Republicans, I think, and conservatives in general are so bad at fighting bad who are generally nice people.

That was my next question.

My next question is, just do you think we have it in us?

No, I don't.

Honestly.

There are like three people who might.

I would say we could do it.

We're sort of above and we like, you know, we'd like to fly above that

the fray there.

And yeah, great points, Chris.

Thanks for calling in.

I really do.

I think

that's why we don't fight fire with fire.

That's why we don't fight back in some of these situations.

I will say, though,

in the previous president, in Trump, you had a president who would fight back or stand back.

Now, I don't know how much fighting you do with some of the folks within, buried within that administration that would try to gum up the works with him.

But there's another person on the scene in from Chris's state of Florida who also seems to be fighting back.

Governor Ron DeSantis.

We got a couple of people that are that are out there.

At least the fight is on.

Speaking of which, we're going to talk about that fight that continues and how you can fight back by joining us, standing together when we come back.

This is the Glenback program.

All right, so summer has arrived and with it comes all of those amazing summer holidays.

And with things finally starting to return to normal in this country, I'll bet you're looking to spend those holidays with friends and family cooking up some good food in the backyard while the kids go running and screaming around the yard.

Let me take your grilling game and knock it up one level.

If you haven't already, I want you to go online and check out RekTech.

It grills, it smokes, it even bakes, and it does it with smart grill technology, which means that it maintains perfect temperature the whole time.

And that means you don't burn anything like I have time or two, or every time, until I got a RekTech.

It's sleek, it's sturdy.

The thing is built out of solid stainless steel.

It's a tank.

It'll be the last grill you buy.

A-B, compare the RECTEC to the competition.

You'll see what I'm talking about.

R-E-C-T-EQ.com.

That's rechtech.com.

R-E-C-T-E-Q.com.

Doing our part to keep free speech alive.

There's much more after the break on the Glenbeck program.

People are fighting back.

They are standing up.

I mean, even when it seems like all may be lost,

it's hopeless at times.

There is some good news.

You know, it's one of the things I talk about

in my book, Good News, that there are things happening in the world, I think, that are worth celebrating.

And we ought to do that more often.

You're not going to hear it in the headlines in nightly news.

You're not going to see it from the usual suspects.

But when we see it, we ought to make sure that we share those things.

And we definitely tell those stories with each other and together.

And there's one such video I wanted to share with you.

This comes from a dad in Arizona who's gone to a school board meeting.

First of all, I congratulate him for that.

Parents, you've got to go to school board meetings.

We've got to be engaged civically.

We've got to be engaged in our kids, in their education.

If you're going to send them to public school, especially,

we've got to be engaged in that process to let these people know that we are watching, that we're going to be a part of it, that we're actively participating.

This man is speaking up, and it's also what he says.

From his perspective as a black man, a father,

what he says about what they're teaching, the critical race theory and the divisive things that they're teaching in schools take a listen from chandler

thank you

I'm not part of any group I just came here because my kids are 8 10 and 12 and

we we start to experience things far as Black History Month My kids would come home they would be afraid and I would always ask them what was going on and then I started realizing that they were teaching stuff they taught my kids about slavery and then civil rights and nothing in between.

And now you got C CRT

and

I ask you guys not to burden my kids with something that's going to hold them back.

30 seconds.

I don't really give them, teach them all the history because I want them to soar as big as they can be without the burden of someone saying, well, you're oppressed or I'm being nice to you is why you're succeeding.

I want my kids to just thrive and continue to be kids and grow as much as they possibly can.

So I ask you guys:

just take a look at what you're doing.

What's the future going to hold for the kids that's experiencing all this right now?

That's pretty much all I have to say.

The father making a plea at a school board meeting.

It may not seem like

he's doing anything

too grand.

It may not seem like

he is wielding a sword

uh and uh just completed a a a

a battle and and come out victoriously but i i i applaud that man

because he's done what a lot of folks and more and more are doing every day

and we ought to consider doing ourselves

whether you got kids or not if you're a taxpayer you live in a

the area that you live in, a lot of times your home values are even tied to the schools.

It's a great school system.

Our home values are tied to that.

You're paying taxes on it, etc.

So you ought to have some input,

especially in that system.

Another place where they're seeing right now, critical race theory and divisiveness, sort of rearing its ugly head.

is a place that is very concerning.

In fact, that's the military.

Joining us to talk a a little bit about that.

Author Adam Davis, good friend of mine, he's written several books, multiple on different topics, but they all really revolve around the same theme.

He's a retired police officer,

supporting those folks who go out and serve for us, whether it's in the line of duty on the call,

here on our streets or in battlefields.

all throughout the world.

Adam, appreciate you being here with us today.

How are you?

Justin, always an honor to speak with you, my friend, and doing well, doing well here in South Alabama, down in Dothan, Alabama, and wonderful to be able to speak with you again on such an important matter.

So, recently, the military

is now

going through this woke process.

And it's something that a lot of folks, as we're watching it, is very concerning because you think about this and you think, wow,

if this falls, I mean, some of

the real last havens

in government and service is our military.

You've got patriots there that are conservative, that are traditional.

They might call them extremists now, but I think the real extremists are the ones who are the Marxists, who are trying to drive a wedge and drive this ideology into places that it doesn't belong, like the military.

Yeah, well, that's the thing you have to realize, and I think we are, more and more people are realizing it now, is that for the true extremists, which are the liberal, the woke crowd,

whatever you want to label them as, the ones that want to destroy the very foundation of fundamental truths of our nation, there is nothing sacred to them.

Not our Constitution, not our way of life, not

the military, the church, the school system.

They want to attack the very core of who we are.

And there's no place for such divisive teaching in the military.

Like in law enforcement, you have to move as one.

You have to be united.

And they want to divide every facet of America so that they can conquer America with their socialist and Marxist ideas, with their communist propaganda.

They want to destroy America and turn it into what they want.

They want to make you a slave to their rule.

That's what they want.

And this is just part of their strategy.

And it has to be stopped immediately.

It's happening in the military.

You're also seeing it

with the police officers.

And I know

you served as a police officer, but now you serve police officers and you serve first responders and folks in the military as well.

As an author, you write books, a lot of times devotionals.

These are things that

are directly serving the souls of these folks who probably need it

more than any of us these days.

They're constantly under attack.

But you're seeing the same thing that we're seeing now in the military, been happening with police

and police departments all across the country, all across the country.

Heard last year about defunding the police, and now we're starting to see even some of those places where they tried that.

It didn't work too well.

And of course, they're having the backtrack on that.

But it can't be easy to serve in the line of duty these days.

No, well, you know, the fact is that they want to erase truth and they want to redefine truth, but you can't redefine what the truth is.

And we have to go back to the basics of who we are as a country.

Yes, you can believe differently.

In fact, you can speak things that are against what I believe.

But that's the beauty of America, is that

you can have a different belief without being persecuted.

But the people who are behind this critical race theory and behind defund the police and all these divisive movements, they don't believe the same way.

They want to silence and censor the people who speak the truth.

They want to silence the conservative movement and label us extremists.

And the only way that we can see America grow and continue to be a country, a land of liberty and freedom, is where we all have the freedom and liberty to speak and speak truth and silence those who want to divide America.

Well, you know, we've talked about this earlier today, but why do you, why,

why are they trying to divide and not just each of us?

And I don't, by the way, I don't think it's working.

I don't think Americans are as divided as they want us to believe.

But why?

That's right.

Why is that their goal?

Why are they trying to do this?

You can't defeat a united front.

It doesn't matter if there's three people or 30 million or 300 million.

If an enemy of 1 billion comes against 300 million, but that 300 million is united and arms locked shoulder to shoulder.

That's why military and law enforcement operations are so successful.

They move as one, the united.

They have one mission.

They move as one body.

You think about marriages, marriages that are where the couples are on different terms, where they're on different pages, where they're not united, they face conflict, they fall apart.

If they're united as one in every aspect, they're more successful in everything.

Unity is the beautiful joy.

It is truly the greatest thing of all.

When you're looking at a country, when you're looking at a family, when you're looking at a business, you need to be united.

An opponent cannot come from the outside and take down a united front, no matter how many number

how much they're outnumbered.

So the you see foreign uh interference you see foreign uh adversaries they love the division that they see coming from the media in the united states because they see us as an easy target it is all an attack to divide america to to further the propaganda uh to take down christian ideals uh to take down the christian fundament uh fundamentals the foundation of who we are uh to redefine to fundamentally reshape america they want to further the communist propaganda, the Marxist movement.

They want everything to go their way or it's not the right way at all.

This isn't about liberty and freedom for them.

This is about taking over and conquering America.

Adam Davis, author of several books.

By the way, we'll tell you about those coming up here in a second.

But as you're serving those who are in service to others, what are you hearing from whether it's military or police or what are you hearing what they're facing, some of the issues they're facing on a daily basis?

You know, law enforcement, one of the biggest things is you see

these just absolute idiots calling for defunding police.

And that's all you can label it because they think that they're hurting police, and they are.

But the people that they're hurting are themselves.

So defund the police.

That's one of the biggest things.

But you know what?

The beauty of it all is through all of this.

You don't hear about this on the news.

And I know you talk about this.

We don't hear the good news.

You don't hear that over 70% of Americans trust and support law enforcement.

You don't hear the good things that are happening and the people who let them know they appreciate them and support them.

So, out of all of these cries that get media attention for defund the police,

the vast majority of Americans support and love law enforcement, support first responders, and love the military.

And we got to get back to where we highlight that more than we highlight the idiots.

Take the microphone away from the people who hate America and give it to the ones who love our country.

You know, it's an interesting stat.

You just said over 70% support the police, 70% of Americans.

We just had that study.

In fact, it's in my book, Good News, that the U.S.

ranks last among 46 countries in trust and media.

Reuters reporting, and that that trust level is down the lowest

of all the countries, but down the lowest it's been ever in the history.

And I think when you compare those two numbers, wow, it's easy to see who Americans trust and why, and probably

because of their track record and who they are.

I mean, we can be a judge of that fairly easily.

Adam Davis,

people can go grab your book today if they'd like to.

You've got a couple, though.

So, quickly,

let's run through them.

TheadamDavis.com is the website.

But you've got a couple of different books because I know we're coming up on the 20th anniversary of September 11th.

And I know Americans haven't forgotten.

I've seen the way we celebrate it over this weekend.

You may want to give a copy to someone that you know, that you love, that's serving, whether it's a police, fire,

some sort of EMT or frontliner or somebody who is in the military,

what would you recommend?

You know what?

For first, well, specifically law enforcement, we've got Behind the Badge, which is by far the best-selling book I have out.

Behind the Badge is 365 Daily Devotions for Law Enforcement.

Then we have one for military and first responders on spiritual combat.

I co-authored with Lieutenant Colonel Dave Grossman.

It is the absolute essential handbook that you need to understand the source of everything you see going on in the world today.

And then the latest book I co-authored with a Force Recon Marine named Chad Roba show called Behind the Lines, 365 Daily Challenges for Military Personnel.

But we also have Bulletproof Marriage, 90-day devotion for military and first responder married couples.

I co-authored that with Lieutenant Colonel Dave Grossman.

Of course, you can find all this on my website, theadamdavis.com.

And would always love to hear from your listeners and connect with them in the future.

Thank you, brother.

I appreciate your work.

And thank you for serving those who are

serving others.

Adam Davis.

Oh, absolutely.

God bless.

Thank you, Justin.

You too.

You know, Glenn asked this audience to pray for my daughter, and folks did when she was born three months early.

My wife's water broke back in December of last year.

She was born at two pounds, six ounces.

And I want you to know that your prayers worked.

They all did.

She's bigger and stronger every day.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with her.

She's just perfect.

She's like 15 pounds now.

And she's got the brightest smile that just lights up my heart

every day.

And I thank you for your prayers.

I thank you

for what you've done.

I'll never forget it.

I'd love to stay in touch.
