Oil Went Negative! | Guests: Charlie Kirk & Sharyl Attkisson | 4/21/20

2h 5m
Peaceful protests continue across the country, but the media spins them to look dangerous. Apparently, the shutdown doesn’t apply to CNN’s Chris Cuomo. Turning Point USA founder and president Charlie Kirk breaks down even more leftist hypocrisy toward protesters. Glenn explains why oil prices dropped below zero and the start of deflation. Investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson joins to discuss Facebook’s latest round of censorship. In today’s coronavirus update, meat prices could soon rise, and President Trump tweeted that he will temporarily suspend immigration – something 8 in 10 Americans wanted. New Jersey police officer Michael Hand has set up a GoFundMe page to support the staff of local eatery Prestige Diner while its doors are closed.

Thank you very much, Hillary.

A sponsor here is Home Title Lock.

You know, you probably are looking around and trying to figure out, well, look, I'm home all the time.

People at least can't steal stuff from my house.

That's not true, unfortunately, because of home title fraud, one of the fastest-growing crimes in America.

And it's growing right now at a rate.

I mean, who even knows what the rate is now?

Because people, you know, these hackers are, they're home.

They're bored too.

And they're out there trying to find documents and forging them and taking your equity.

Now's the time to lock up the things that you know you can actually depend on.

Your home is one of the biggest investments you'll ever have.

It's a huge part of your retirement.

You know, there's a lot of uncertainty in the world.

Making things sure when you can is really important.

Home Title Lock is there to ensure that you get your protection from your home's title

right away.

HomeTitleLock.com is the place to go.

Register your address.

See if you're already a victim.

And if not, that's great.

But you need to protect yourself going forward.

Protect your home's legal title.

It's 2020, you can't afford to assume your home's title isn't at risk anymore.

The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.

Oh my, oh my.

You know, the people who have been lecturing us about staying home and, you know, how you just can't trust the American people to do the right thing.

You know, people always self-diagnose.

When they don't believe something in others, it's because

they see that flaw in themselves.

Oh

my gosh.

Wait until we give you the latest about all all those people on TV that are preaching to us about how we all have to stay home and quarantine.

They don't believe it themselves.

They might believe it for you, the little people, but certainly not for them in one minute.

This is the Glenbeck program.

You know, when a significant amount of your time is spent in pain,

there is...

there is nothing, nothing that you won't do to get out of pain.

It just encompasses your entire life,

and you start to lose sight that there's light at the end of the tunnel.

You might even be at this point thinking there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

This is the way my life is going to be.

May I suggest you try Relief Factor?

If you are in pain, please just try it.

You have nothing to lose.

Yes, you do.

I'm going to be real honest with you.

You have $20 to lose.

You could lose $20.

But 70% of the people who put that 20 bucks up, they get three weeks of

Relief Factor, and it turns their life around.

It did for me.

See if you're part of that 70%.

Tomorrow night at 9 p.m.

Eastern on Glenn TV, the coronavirus led to a devastating shutdown of our economy and our way of life.

But who drafted the agenda for our response?

Glenn reveals how a group of global elite prepared for a future coronavirus pandemic just months before China reported its first case.

Glenn asks the questions the media and big tech don't want you to hear.

Event 201.

The coronavirus wargame.

9 p.m.

Eastern tomorrow night at Blazetv.com/slash Glenn.

I have to tell you, this is going to be a remarkable show and something that you will not see anywhere else.

In fact, I have a feeling you won't be able to Google search it or anything else

because they'll claim this is a conspiracy theory, etc., etc.

It's not a conspiracy.

It's all out there.

It's been out there.

Nobody has paid any attention to it.

And it is something Bill Gates was doing

in November of last year.

He called the CDC and all of the banks and everybody together,

and they wargamed a pandemic.

And

there's no secrecy to it.

I mean, I want people to be wargaming bad things.

However, the conclusions that they drew, the things that they said will

help us, I don't know if the rest of America agrees with it.

But this is really the basis of what we're doing right now.

And you should be aware of how that decision was made and what their intent was and is.

You'll see it tomorrow on Blaze TV.

You don't want to miss it.

All right, in the news today, I just want to take you on a whirlwind here, a tour of what is happening in our country.

First of all, the stories today are the protesters, the anti-lockdown protesters that are carrying guns in Pennsylvania and Kansas City.

Counter-protesters block traffic.

So

you're seeing

some, I think, disturbing images just because remember,

this is a world that is won by images,

not facts, but images say everything.

And if you start to look like you are

a terrorist, you are going to be deemed a terrorist, whether you are or not.

Protests occurred yesterday in Kansas City, Missouri.

Counter-protesters blocked traffic.

Protesters in Pennsylvania were carrying rifles and driving in a military truck.

And those are the only pictures that you see.

This military truck and people who are wearing masks.

Wait a minute, I thought we were supposed to.

Carrying guns in the streets saying, you know, it's time to open the country back up.

This is not going to be

received well, and you will actually, I think, hurt the cause

because you have no friends in the media.

I mean, you do in

right-wing media.

We understand what you're doing, I think.

But you don't have any friends in the mainstream media.

You can't go out looking the way it looks in a big military truck because you look like you're wanting to cause violence.

And nobody is going to be a part of violence.

These counter-protesters blocking traffic, I mean,

what are you doing there?

You're just trying to piss everybody off?

I mean, I'm glad if you want the place to be shut down, I'm glad that people would be pissed off at you.

But these protesters have got to be careful because you're playing with all of our liberties.

Nearly three out of four Americans now fear losing personal liberties because of the coronavirus.

So it's not just a handful of people.

You're in

the majority.

If you are afraid that this thing, this lockdown is unconstitutional and we may never come back with the full liberties.

You're not in the minority.

You are in the majority.

So

play to the majority.

Don't seem to be rebels because no one, the difference between America, you know what's happening in France right now.

They are starting to firebomb the streets and everything else.

We'll get into that later.

They are a country of revolution.

They had the bloody revolution where they were, you know, beheading people and then Napoleon.

They've had revolution after revolution after revolution, and they have violence in the streets all the time.

Americans don't like that.

We aren't revolutionaries.

It's why we have the progressive movement here in America.

Because the communists knew around the turn of the century that you'll never get Americans to overthrow their government and join a bloody revolution.

It won't happen.

Now, it could if things get to extremes, but let's not hope for that.

Let's not try to encourage that.

I don't want that.

I don't know anybody who wants, hey, let's fight a revolution.

Let's win people's hearts and minds.

And right now, you're in the majority.

Stay there in the majority because everything else is becoming

transparent.

You're seeing now.

Did you see the picture, Stu, of George Stephanopoulos?

He's walking the streets in the Hamptons on his phone with his mask around his neck.

So he's wearing a mask.

It's just not around his face.

He is battling the virus himself.

So his wife has COVID-19.

He has COVID-19.

And he was photographed walking down the street without a mask.

Now, this is the guy who is preaching to all of us that we have to stay inside, that we, you know, these

governors who are making us all stay inside and we're arrested or we're

ticketed if we're just driving our car.

Here's a guy diagnosed with the COVID-19 who's walking around without a mask.

Quarantine for thee and not for me is the

media.

And, you know, this is how they look at it.

Yes, of course, you have to do it, but like, I'm essential.

I'm me.

I'm the guy who gets to walk around and do whatever I want right now.

I mean, it's one thing, look, to these restrictions we're critical of

in certain ways because they're nonsensical, right?

Like, not allowing people to go to parks and walk around.

This is not having people to be allowed to go on a nice drive with their family.

It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

No sense.

But someone who has COVID-19

being outdoors at all in any circumstance is not cool unless he's on his own property by himself.

That's what a definition of a quarantine usually is.

You quarantine the sick people, not the healthy people.

You tell the sick people to stay home.

I mean, you know, the reason why we've quarantined everybody is because we didn't know at first who's sick and who wasn't.

We didn't have enough testing.

so we didn't know who was sick so everybody just stay home if you're diagnosed as sick

you know i i can guarantee you we should look i can guarantee you george stephanopoulos if he talked about the guy in in uh kentucky that had to wear an ankle bracelet and the police were in front of his home i can guarantee you he was for that

guarantee you and this is he's not the only one i mean normally i would be even more fired up about george stephanopoulos but considering the Chris Cuomo saga, it's almost

impossible to be more annoyed about a story in any particular day than that one.

Here's Chris Cuomo.

Do we have Chris Cuomo's theme song, St.

Christopher?

There we go.

Okay.

There we go.

We're going to talk about Chris Cuomo.

Let's talk about Chris Cuomo.

Go ahead.

So here's a guy who comes out and is critical the entire time.

You got to stay in your house.

It's very, very important.

Comes down with COVID-19, right?

He has COVID-19.

His wife then gets it as well.

So both he and his wife have the actual illness.

His brother.

But he's been living.

He's been living in the basement.

That's true.

He was living in the basement and doing a show in the basement and talking about how he was hallucinating and sweating all the time and how terrible it was.

His wife has it.

His brother is the governor of the state who was the person who was responsible for putting all the restrictions on everyone.

Right.

And telling everybody, if you don't stay home, we're all gonna die.

Yep.

And then just the other day, extends the quarantine for everyone in the state for another month.

Again, these are people who don't have COVID-19, like his little brother does.

Then,

what does Chris Cuomo do?

He drives an hour away from the place he's quarantined to his house in the Hamptons.

Okay,

he goes outside

with COVID-19.

He goes outside.

He gets in an altercation with a passing bicyclist

who's like, hey, dude, what the hell are you doing outside?

Don't you have COVID-19?

He gets pissed at the guy for even asking the question.

And then he goes back to his basement quarantine and fakes on CNN his first

opportunity to walk out of quarantine since he got sick.

So he has this big moment on CNN where he walks out of his basement.

This is the first time you're here with me.

I'm coming out of court.

Fakes it on a new

channel and has no repercussions whatsoever.

Right.

Yeah, he's the whole time.

He was like, I can't believe this is my first time.

It's just such a, it's just such a blessing to be able to see my wife and to be upstairs now out of this basement.

Dude, you were just in a car.

You just drove to another house.

You got into an altercation with a guy on a bike.

You've been out of the house.

What are you talking about?

How CNN survives this is just beyond me.

If you are, I mean, I understand.

You don't agree with me.

You don't agree with, you know, Fox News or the president or whatever.

I get it.

I get it.

But if you actually can say, oh, no, these are credible news sources now.

When he's been playing you,

this guy, Chris Cuomo, has been playing on your emotions.

Oh, I had these fever dreams and they were so bad.

And I had the chills.

And oh, I miss my children so much.

I haven't seen them.

I can finally come out of the basement.

Where's the cue the music?

Cue the music.

And I am just here with my child.

Where's the music, CNN?

Where's the music?

Oh, I'm sorry.

It's a news channel.

No music.

Okay.

You're seeing this report live as it happens.

You've been played, America.

You've been played by these people.

This is why Americans are in the street protesting.

Because you don't believe any of it.

It's okay for you to go out and do things.

It's okay for you to sit on television and lecture us because you somehow or another are special.

You know more than the average person.

No, you don't.

No, you don't.

In fact, many of you are boobs.

I've met many of you.

You're incompetent, undereducated while being overeducated boobs.

Absolute boobs.

I would put my hands in the, in the, in the, in the hands of the American people over you elites in the media anytime.

You don't believe it.

And, you know, at least for you.

Should not the Andrew Cuomo press conference not begin with, are you going to excoriate your brother for going to the Hamptons, going outside, and interacting with people with COVID-19?

Are you going to?

Shouldn't CNN legitimately, I understand that CNN isn't going to agree with us on politics.

I don't hold them to that standard.

I don't expect it out of them.

But I mean, the idea that you can have one of your hosts faking a moment.

You want to talk about fake news?

Yeah, he's legitimately lying to the audience and saying this is the first time I've been out of my basement when he was on on camera having a

he would

have been covered by multiple news sources that he had an altercation with a guy on a bicycle who was criticizing him for being outside with COVID-19 in the Hamptons, an hour away.

And you letting him come on your network and fake walking up the stairs for the first day like he's rising from the dead and rolled away the stone.

It's insanity.

More in just a second because the hypocrisy does not stop with ABC and CNN.

Oh, no, there's more coming up in just a second.

The American financing people are just the best.

They are not one of these big banks.

They're not getting bails, you know, bailed out or anything like that.

What they do is they come in and they are the broker that looks for the best loan.

They don't get kickbacks from the banks or anything else.

They work for you.

So if you're looking for a loan right now, if you're paying over 4% or 4% for your mortgage, you are way overpaying.

Please save yourself a lot of money over a long period of time by refinancing your mortgage or getting a consolidation loan.

Get rid of those 15 or 20%

interest rates on your credit cards.

Fold them into your mortgage.

I'm not somebody who believes in, you know, consolidation loans so I can go put more stuff on my credit card.

But if I had a bunch of stuff that was on a credit card that it was at 15, 20%,

you're getting your eyes gouged out right now.

You'll never be able to pay that off.

Roll it over into your mortgage and pay it off.

So here's why the president really needs to be in the corner of the American people because they see this stuff going on.

They know they would never get away with it.

And yet here are these people in the news.

If Donald Trump wants to score some big points, he should stand up with pictures and play that tape of CNN at the press conference today and just ask CNN, you want to know what fake news is?

Do you guys know what fake news is?

It's this, and then play it.

He should play it today.

Then he should

ask ABC,

how about George Stepanopoulos?

Because you guys are saying that I want to open up the country and cause death.

I'm saying we do it scientifically.

He has COVID and so does he.

And they're both out.

What do you say about that?

I think he should do that.

He's got to start reflecting the American people.

There's a store owner in Pennsylvania.

I read about this guy.

He owns a consignment store.

He's had to lay off employees as a result of the shutdown.

Now, he sells kids' clothing

at his consignment store.

Target and Walmart have been allowed to open up again because they sell kids' clothing.

And he's saying, why can't I open up?

Why does the big box store but the guy on Main Street who only has one location and owns it how come I can't open up and he's exactly right

Donald Trump asked yesterday I wonder if the

I wonder if these

shelter at home policies are going to apply to Muslims on Ramadan

And the reason why, oh my gosh, listen to the racist.

Oh, he just hates, he just hates people that are different than him.

No, the reason why is because every other church has had to shut down.

Everybody has to stay home, shelter in place.

You can't even go to your church in your car

and sit there in your car with your windows rolled up and celebrate Easter.

But did you know that there's a New York mosque that is still open for daily prayers?

Everybody else, everybody else is mandatory shutdown, but in New York, the mosque opened for business.

Now they were allowed to take safety precautions.

They were allowed to do things that would

keep them safe inside this mosque.

I don't know how they're doing that.

I mean, I've seen the pictures and it looks like they've, you know, they're filtering the air and everything else.

Does that work?

Does anybody know if that works?

Is that all it takes?

Because why don't my church do that?

Because if my church can do that, we should do that too.

why is it that unless you're a special group unless you're in the media you have to hunker down if you're on main street screw you but if you're at target oh well

you of course can open up because somehow or another you're essential

all right i want to talk to you about um tokovis boots

Takovis boots is, they are a group of

people that are Texans that

went and really they've always worn boots and they've gone out and they were looking for boots.

One of the guys and he's like, they are so expensive.

And he and his buddy got together and they were like, how can we make boots that are really good, high-quality, made-by-hand boots that aren't

a fortune?

Well, they figured out a way and they go direct to you.

They can save a buttload of money by going directly to you.

Now, selling shoes or boots online is not easy, but they've made it super simple.

So it's so easy to be able to find the right pair of boots for you.

To Covis, made with 200 steps.

200 steps handmade.

Best boots you'll find at this price or any price, I think.

We've seen it already, this same people you expect trying to grab power in the middle of this.

When this is over, we're going to need all these arguments.

Arguing with socialists from Glenbeck, it's available now.

Hello and welcome to the Glenbeck program.

This week, the Chairman Maui's will be giving out our Maui Awards, which are just a beautiful statue of Chairman Mao made in China.

They are gorgeous.

And, of course, a lot of sheriffs, police officers, mayors, governors have been vying for this coveted Maui Award, Chairman Maui Award,

and we will be presenting that.

You can vote

for your

local or state or national dictator wannabe at glenbeck.com.

You can follow me at Twitter or on Facebook.

We have those awards in the different categories,

all of those available for you now to vote on.

You know, best arrest by an ensemble and best use of police resources.

I mean,

there's some really good stuff there.

Best achievement in a criminal takedown.

So

you just don't want to miss the Mauis this year.

We'll be presenting them on the radio here in just a couple of days.

So get your votes in for your consideration.

I want to bring in Charlie Kirk.

He is the founder and president of Turning Point USA.

He is being accused of

starting

all of these protests all over the country.

Charlie, what are you doing, man?

How dare I talk about how folks should exercise their First Amendment?

Honor to be here, Glenn.

Good morning.

It's incredible.

I said last week, I hope that the students of America participate in peaceful rebellion.

The operative word there is peaceful, Glenn.

And the media seem to find a lot of issue with that.

And I even went as far to say, socially distance yourself, wear masks, be respectful.

But I did say that I believe it is uniquely American.

It is a moral thing to do to rise up against tyranny.

I mean, let's take California, for example, especially Ventura County.

In Ventura County, on Easter Sunday, you could go through a drive-through fast food restaurant or a drive-through marijuana dispensary with no issue at all from the Ventura County ruling class, but you could not go get drive-through communion.

You could go to a home improvement store on Easter Sunday with hundreds of people in the store, and who knows how many people might have gotten contaminated, But you could not have 10 people peacefully congregate on Easter Sunday in a congregation or in a church to celebrate the holiest day on our Christian calendar.

So it's long overdue, Glenn.

And again, it's peaceful rebellion.

I'm not calling for any sort of the nonsense the leftist media is accusing us of supporting, but I think it's...

I'm so tired of it.

I am so tired of their double standard.

I mean, I remember when Palin said that we were targeting a district and everybody knew exactly what they they said.

And then they did two weeks of how dare her say targeting.

Meanwhile, you have people just this week that have said, you know, the GOP, all these people, I hope they die.

We should drag them off to

warehouses and lock them in and let them all let nature take its course.

I mean, they're actually talking about violence.

And the media just doesn't seem to care.

So I don't really care what the media says anymore.

It doesn't matter.

Well, yeah, and Glenn, here's a really important point, too, which is just to kind of highlight the left's double standard.

And if the left didn't have double standards, they wouldn't have standards at all, which is

when the left was in the streets violently protesting after President Trump's inauguration, they were called heroes.

When Madonna was up saying that we have to bomb the White House, she was called a hero.

When Antifa has been in the streets for years now wearing masks, and they weren't wearing masks because they were worried about catching the Chinese coronavirus.

They were wearing masks for a lot of different reasons, mostly anonymity and cowardice.

The left called them, including some anchors on CNN, wonderful pro-democracy, anti-fascist protesters.

And yet you have constitutional patriots that are rising up peacefully and abiding by the guidelines, saying to these Democrat governors, enough.

Why is it that you've shut down our gun shops, but you've kept the abortion clinics open?

Why is it we we can't go to church?

And Glenn, the final thing I'll say in this is I think it's a good thing for those Americans that weren't around in a Tea Party movement to kind of get a flavor of this because that's where I cut my political teeth listening to your show, going to your rallies.

And I think there's something uniquely American, something so special to see America

go peacefully rally around the foundational ideas of liberty, freedom, and constitutionally limited government.

So, Charlie, let me ask you this.

We have been we have just sent today, I think almost 400,000 meals

have been sent by my audience up to Detroit, where they are really, really suffering.

We have another tractor trailer that's being loaded today, and we'll have more on that coming up if you happen to be following this saga.

But there are people that are really hurting.

And I would like to talk to you about partnering with your group

and targeting cities and targeting areas that are really, truly struggling and just don't have any help.

I mean, we're talking at the bottom of the ladder.

That as I was talking to a state rep out of Detroit, Karen Witsett, I think you know her,

I said to her, you know, we, you know,

you're lacking food.

And she said, you know, we're also lacking stoves.

We don't, these people don't even have stoves.

So it's, you know, it's a it's the worst of the worst, the bottom of the barrel

when it comes to need.

And I think we can make a big impact in the country by doing good and actually being there for people who need us, not, not all this lip service from Washington.

Well, I we'd love to do it, Glenn.

and we could talk offline about that.

And last week, we hosted one of the largest blood drives in Phoenix, Arizona, around the same type of idea at Turning Point USA.

Headquarters.

We're socially distanced, of course, wearing masks.

And we're just trying to mobilize where we can to help our fellow Americans.

And I think you bring up a really important point, Glenn, that the media is not talking about, which is I would make the argument, when all is said and done, the biggest impact, the thing that moves the dial the most, is going to be Americans helping Americans,

churches helping people, charities like you helping helping people, not the government, not multi-trillion dollar spending packages, not free cash in your bank account.

It's going to be the partnership of fellow Americans voluntarily assisting our fellow citizens.

And look, if we wanted a huge social welfare state, we'd go to Europe for that.

And I think, Charlie, that the left knows this.

It's why the Uber left is trying to turn us against each other and rat on your neighbor.

It's our neighbor that is going to help us, not rat on us.

And somebody's got to be standing and holding a light going in the opposite direction of rat on your neighbor, turn them in,

and turn to the government for help.

I don't want the government's help, and I don't think most Americans want the government's help.

No doubt.

And this is so important because

Not every country

has this type of citizenry that will rise up in the times of crisis.

It's built into our spirit.

It's built into our history, Glenn.

We should appreciate it and we should advertise the fact that we have a voluntary philanthropy and a spirit and generosity and benevolency in our country that is so unique.

And to your point, I mean, look, the government, in a lot of sense, in a lot of these states, has tried to play Big Brother.

They've tried to be the solving agent of all these things.

And you start to see the peaceful backlash against that, rightfully so.

And it's really interesting because the left always wants division.

The left, they know the more they can divide human beings against human beings, it gives them a license to be able to get to ultimate political power.

Well, they're able to divide people when you're literally not able to communicate with your fellow neighbor, your citizen, because they have you domiciled and quarantined within your homes.

And so I think what you're doing, Glenn, is so wonderful.

It's brilliant.

It's moral.

And we'd love to help.

And I hope more Americans step up to help our fellow citizens in a time of need.

Are you concerned at all, especially since you've built

this gigantic

movement on social media?

Are you concerned at all about how Facebook has now taken

the position that they will kick anybody off that's talking about any of these movements,

any of these

gatherings where they're saying, hey,

we want to be free and

ban you and silence your voice.

I mean, didn't just two universities ban you from campus?

Yeah,

Turning Point USA groups, yes, at Texas Christian University and Baylor University.

And as I like to say a lot, John, whatever happens on college campuses will soon happen in corporate boardrooms and in the halls of Congress.

So in the case of the social media tech companies, you have students that have been indoctrinated on college campuses, graduates, I should say, that are now staffing these tech companies.

So the same silencing of free speech that you've been covering for the last decade, it doesn't go away.

It just transfers to a different type of campus, not a college campus, but the campus of Facebook.

What really concerns me about the Facebook example, and I spoke out about this in my podcast today, this morning actually, was that

Facebook, if Facebook was required by a judge or a police force to take down the event, I have no problem with that at all whatsoever.

But the problem is that Facebook is now playing the government's role.

They're playing jury judge and executioner

and almost playing moral referees saying, oh, we don't like this.

We think it violates guidelines.

No, no, no, no.

You should keep that up unless a judge comes to you with a court order, then you take it down.

That's reasonable.

And what's amazing, Glenn, I can't tell you how we have pleaded with Facebook, asking them to take down violent Antifa events

organized groups.

I know.

And they refused to do it.

I know.

I know.

We've done it as well.

Charlie,

do you believe the governors when they said that we didn't call Facebook?

Facebook called us.

I mean,

we'll never know, but I think there might be some truth to that.

I mean, again, they're trying to displace blame on the other side, but from based on the same story I read that you read, yeah, I think that Facebook might have had a revolt within their company of late 20-somethings and early 30s something of tech engineers in their company that came from some of the hyper-elite college campuses that believe that they need to play their role in stamping out the conservative influence in America.

And I think it's perfectly reasonable to speculate that Facebook considers themselves to be so powerful, so omnipotent, so omniscient, that they need to exercise that power to make quote-unquote a better world when in reality they're doing the exact opposite.

We're glad you're here.

Coming up in just a few minutes, I'm going to be trying to explain to you the oil situation, what what happened yesterday when oil was selling for $40 a barrel negative.

So in other words, they were paying somebody $40 just to take the oil and what all of this means.

It's a bad, bad situation,

and it has serious ramifications,

especially when it comes to deflation

and what I think we're facing coming up next.

Yeah, it was interesting.

There was a big explainer in the New York Times as to how

you can have negative

dollars on a barrel of oil.

And they went through the whole thing, and most of it,

we've talked about a little bit, and we're going to talk about more later on the show.

But one interesting part of it was that deflationary aspect in that there's such little demand for everything right now, not just oil.

Everything.

Demand is so low globally for basically every product made that this is just, the Times was pointing out, this is just a

we're at the very beginning

of a massively deflationary period where we have way too much supply and not enough demand, and it's going to take a long time for that to even out.

And it was interesting just to hear the Times saying that, because that's something you've been talking about for a very long time.

You know, connected to it, very much at least connected to big events like this.

I mean, not necessarily always about a pandemic, but about a big black swan type of event that could send us over the cliff.

And, you know, again, like if you are in a wheelchair and someone pushes you up to the end of the cliff, a big gust of wind can push you off of it.

And we've put ourselves in the position where we're right on the edge of a cliff all the time.

And if the wind blows the right way, we're fine.

But if the wind blows the wrong way, We could be in for a really, really ugly time.

This is when you don't want to enter one of these things $22 trillion in debt already.

Yeah, we've already, we've already, the wind blew.

We're already off.

We just haven't hit anything yet, but we're going to hit the bottom.

And life is going to change dramatically.

And deflation is something everyone has to understand.

Deflation and then inflation.

And deflation is what is happening with gasoline now.

There's no buyers.

Nobody's buying it.

That's going to happen with housing and so many other things.

Some things will be very expensive and nobody can afford it.

Some things are going to be just rock-bottom prices.

That's the time to have money.

So, what are you doing to protect your money?

What are you doing to protect your job?

In the meantime, with so many people unemployed, we've got to help each other.

Where do we all turn when things fall apart?

Well, if you're like me, you lean on things that stand the test of time.

Your closest friends, your family, or a cherished movie that re-inspires.

The classics are made to last, and that's why we turn to them in good times and bad.

I have one of those beloved things in my life.

It's my Tacovis cowboy boots.

At Takovis, they don't see themselves as just makers of quality boots and Western goods.

They believe that a good pair of boots can change the way people feel about themselves.

Now, why is that?

Why is it that something that you put on your feet can change the way you feel inside?

Because the boots are a manifestation of things that last, boots that can weather the storm and walk confidently to the other side.

Cowboy boots are and have always been for the frontiers ahead.

And they've been making them for, you know, the sides of roads and, you know, states and stadiums stadiums and everything else.

Well, they started making them for personal use at home, and they have all of the bells and whistles and they are built like tanks.

They have all of the technology that they have engineered over the last 50 years and they are fantastic.

So, what happened yesterday with oil has never happened before, and

it will happen again, probably in the next couple of weeks.

Oil is back up to $20 a barrel today, but yesterday it was trading for negative $30 a barrel negative $30

this time yesterday it had already fell it had already fallen I think 45% in its price

and that was at $12 a barrel fell 45 45%

by the end of the day it had fallen 305%

So why?

What happened?

Well, we're at the end of the month and something called oil futures come due.

And you've heard for years about oil speculators.

These are the people that can either drive the price of oil down or up.

They speculate that at the end of the month, oil is going to be worth this amount.

And they hope to be able to

make money by selling that contract.

They said, oil is going to be at $20 a barrel.

And that a month ago, that would have been crazy great.

Now, today, with all of the oil, nobody wants oil.

So you might have a contract where I can buy oil at $20 a barrel, but everybody's saying, I'm full.

I don't have any place to put it.

And so these speculators were then

standing there holding that contract saying,

wait, I don't...

I don't actually have a plan.

I'm in a glass tower in New York City wearing a suit.

I don't have a place to put oil.

I just take the contract out and I'm supposed to sell it to one of you guys.

And you guys are supposed to store it someplace.

And all of the people standing around going, yeah, I don't have any place to store it.

Now, this happened to West Texas oil because it's landlocked and you have to take delivery in a place called Cushing,

Oklahoma.

Cushing, Oklahoma, that's where all of the pipelines run into.

And so

when the oil is pumped, it's pumped to Cushing, Oklahoma, and you take it from there.

You have to store it there, and then you can fill up the trucks and, you know, take it to the refineries.

Well, there is no storage in Cushing, Oklahoma.

Everything is full.

As I've been telling you for a while, there's going to come a time where oil is in the negative range.

Well, it happened yesterday.

So we have so much oil that there is no place to put it anymore.

And it's especially bad because this is landlocked oil.

All of the pipelines that run from West Texas and all of the oil here in America

goes to Oklahoma.

And rerouting it to a port, I don't even know if you can.

I don't know how that works.

But this oil has to stop there.

So there is no more room.

So this means a couple of things.

First of all, ah, the oil speculators got crushed yesterday.

And it makes me happy because he was standing out on the street going, okay, how about $5 a barrel?

How about I just give you the oil?

You won't take it from me.

Okay, I pay you $5 a barrel.

It got to $30.

I will pay you $30

to take this oil from me.

Okay, it wasn't the oil company that was having to pay.

It was the speculator who had that contract for delivery.

He had to cough up that money.

So he had to cough up the money for all of that oil.

And then finally somebody said, all right, at that price, I can find some place to store that oil.

So they stored it.

But it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

So here's what this means.

This collapse has been engineered by Russia and a little bit by Saudi Arabia, although Saudi Arabia is kind of on our side, at least I think, as much as they're on anybody's side.

But

they caused this by turning on oil production at 20% right before COVID hit.

So they said, we're going to turn up oil production about 20% and we're going to cause the price to go down.

Russia was doing it to collapse us.

Saudi Arabia said, oh, really?

Well, let's see who can last longer, you or me.

And so Saudi Arabia opened up the spigot all the way and said, we're just going to pump and pump and pump it full bore.

Let's see who could collapse and who can last.

Because both of those economies are oil economies.

So the oil

is what's paying for their government, their stipends, their Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, all of that stuff.

Both of these countries collapse if oil prices collapse.

So they're playing a game of chicken.

Well, we are caught up in it because we're also playing the game of chicken.

Rick Perry was on just, what, last week saying that

we really need to stop producing so much oil.

The reason why we can't is you just don't shut an industry down, as we're finding out with America.

Because we've shut America down, because we're no longer flying, because we're no longer driving in our cars every day, because we're headed into the summer and we don't need heating oil, the need for oil is almost stopped.

It's almost at zero.

It's never happened before in the history of the world.

So Texas is the only one, and I shouldn't say Texas, American oil companies,

the ones that are drilling for oil and getting it out of shale and everything else, all this great technology that made us energy independent in the last year, all of that now is at risk because once you shut it down, it has lasting effects.

You can't just turn the entire industry off and then come back to it.

Do you remember when Barack Obama said that we're no longer going to drill in the Gulf of Mexico?

If you remember that series of shows I did where I was explaining how drilling actually works in the water.

Those giant platforms are not owned by these companies.

They are rented.

And that drilling equipment is wildly expensive.

And they're leased for decades.

When Obama said we're not going to drill in the Gulf anymore, at least put a moratorium on it for, I think he said a year or eight months, something like that.

That made those leases lapse and expire.

And those drilling rigs, and he knew exactly what he was doing, those drilling rigs were taken elsewhere and someone else took them to drill elsewhere in the world and not America.

We don't get those back.

It's not like they're just short-term lead.

That's like 20 years that those will be there.

And you don't just rebuild

an oil platform.

Same now with the Texas and the American oil industry on land.

You don't just shut it down and then reopen.

Five million people will lose their jobs.

President Trump now is faced with, do I bail out, can you imagine this with Casio-Cortez and the left, do I bail out the

oil market in America?

Do I just pay for it to stay open even though we don't have any place to put the oil?

This is a strategic necessity.

We cannot lose our oil industry.

Now, this is usually the time that wars are started because Russia is faltering because there's no demand for oil.

They have to have it or they will collapse.

And you're not playing around with a sane guy.

You're playing around with Vladimir Putin, who will kill anyone just so he survives, let alone Russia.

He is on the verge of collapse.

Saudi Arabia, it's why they're beheading so many people.

It's why they're getting so nasty.

It's why they've gone around and kidnapped all of the royal princesses and princes and all of the royal family because they need the money.

They're taking these people and putting them in jail and saying that, well, they were doing fraud so they can seize all of that wealth.

Because Saudi Arabia is only held together by the money they give the the people.

Because it's a little like Alaska.

You get a check from

Alaska for all of the oil that is drilled.

The same in Saudi Arabia, except it pays for your whole lifestyle.

Nobody in Saudi Arabia, no Saudis actually work.

They're all basically playboys because everybody gets a share of the oil.

So what is Donald Trump going to do?

The first thing I would recommend is, I know this is going to make a very small dent, but get in your car today and drive.

Get in your car and just go take a long drive.

Get in your car.

If you haven't filled it up, go fill it up.

We've got to move some of this oil.

We've got to start consuming oil.

One of the reasons why we have to go back online.

We have to use this oil.

Otherwise, our Navy and our airplanes, they can't fly.

And if we go to war ever, we cannot be beholden to anyone else on oil.

That's why Germany lost.

They lost because they just couldn't handle the oil consumption.

They had to have oil to run everything and to make giant refineries to be able to have petrol so they could fly and sail.

That's what we were doing in Saudi Arabia, and that's what they were doing in Saudi Arabia and and Egypt as well.

They needed the oil of the Middle East.

Now this goes to something else.

Our ethanol industry,

a lot of byproducts come from ethanol.

Well, we're not making ethanol.

So now corn futures are down about 20%

because we use so much corn in ethanol.

So now our corn farmers are going to be really hurting and they're not going to be planting as much corn.

What does that mean?

What does that mean for all of the byproducts from ethanol?

This is the beginning of something called deflation and it's something that Americans have never seen and it will seem like a good thing at first.

Deflation is what's happening right now at your gas station.

Here in Texas, you can buy a gallon of gas for $1.09.

That's pretty great.

Everybody's like, whoa, that's great.

I think in California, it's still like $16

a gallon.

The reason why?

You can now see what your state charges in tax.

Again, in Texas, it's $1.09.

What are you paying?

Because everything over that, almost everything over that, is taxes.

So I know in Connecticut, it's over $3 a gallon still.

That's your state robbing you blind every time you go to the gas station.

What is it in California?

That's your state robbing you blind every time you go to the gas station.

They've made you hate the big oil industry, but it's not oil.

It's the big government industry that is really raping you at the gas pump.

So we're having deflation now.

And it seems like it's a good thing, but it's not as it continues.

Because as this continues, more and more things will lose demand.

For instance, the big thing that will affect you is a house.

You won't be able to sell your house because your house will be worth 50% less.

When your house is worth 50%

less,

can the bank repossess?

I don't even know.

When your house is not worth what you paid for it and

you owe a lot of money,

you better not miss a single payment and you can't get out of it.

So everybody else around you,

if they don't own a house, they can go and buy a house at 50% less, but you can't because you'll have to cough up all of that money when you try to sell it.

There's plenty of money, but nothing our money can buy.

That's a line from

Rudyard Kipling.

And that poem has become

more and more accurate every single day.

There's plenty of money,

but what are you buying?

And when deflation is over, then you hit hyperinflation.

It goes from the opposite.

All of a sudden, everything becomes wildly expensive because, like in Venezuela when you debase the money

that's when it's worthless.

It becomes worth less and less until it becomes worth less.

That is the end of this cycle.

But don't worry, they have a plan for all of this.

And I'm actually going to show you some, I think, disturbing video, only because I disagree with what they believe is the solution.

But the people who really have been planning planning this for a long time,

not planning the virus, but planning for any kind of pandemic, what do we do?

What do we do with our banks?

What do we do with the media?

What do we do with our government?

How do we solve these things?

It's called Event 201, and it happened last November when a group of global elites got together out in the open.

And they said, let's war game this along with our CDC and banks and everybody else.

And they got together and they came up with some conclusions on what to do.

It's what we're doing right now.

You want to know how they came up with what we're doing now?

You want to know what they believe?

Because I don't think it's what you believe.

You'll see it tomorrow, and we usually carry it on Facebook and YouTube, but I think this thing's, if it's not banned during the show, you will never see this thing again, unless you're a Blaze subscriber.

And the

They're already saying anybody who is afraid of their rights being lost, they're just crazy.

Four out of five Americans now fear that their rights are being lost.

Four out of five Americans believe that there is a threat to our rights.

So you're not alone.

There is an alarm system on rights because

they are ours.

And when your rights start to be lost, if you have an inkling, hey, something's not right, that's the alarm bell going off for these rights.

They're given to us, but they're given to us to protect for our children.

And you're going to see some amazing maneuvering now to get you out of your rights and go to a bigger

Cheryl Atkinson

is probably one of the most important journalists in America today.

I have tremendous, tremendous respect for her

and wish everyone would listen to her and follow her and read her work.

Five-time Emmy Award winner, recipient of the Edward R.

Murrow Award for Investigative Reporting, until she said, no,

I'm going to tell the truth and not follow you down this path of, I guess, propaganda.

Then, of course, she became dangerous and just reckless and immoral and you name it.

She's become.

She is a truth teller and unafraid.

Cheryl Atkinson, welcome to the program.

How are you?

Good.

Thank you for having me.

So Cheryl, let's talk a little bit about

what you are uncovering here on the Facebook fact checker on the China Wuhan lab.

Well, I am so concerned about how we have invited third parties, whether social media, news, propagandists, whoever it may be, to curate our information for us, to call through it and tell us what's fact-checked and what's true.

Maybe not a bad idea unless you consider that everybody's got a special interest and that all these special interests have co-opted the fact-checking function and then you've suddenly put in their hands the ability to control.

So it's been bad with coronavirus, but specifically one thing I noticed, I shared a documentary from Epic Times about the possibility that this came, the virus came from the lab in Buhan.

And it didn't draw any conclusions.

I thought it was factual, very responsibly done.

I shared it on Facebook.

The next day I woke up to a violations notice from Facebook that says I'm being punished for sharing false information.

My distribution will be dialed down and so on.

I didn't know what it was.

So I clicked around.

This was not easy to find.

Like, who does this fact check?

What post are they talking about?

Well, they were talking about the documentary.

So when I clicked in to see who says anything in the documentary is false and what part of it, you can't really find out.

But it leads you to this link

to

this so-called unsigned sort of opinion that, by the way, didn't even fact-check the documentary.

It fact-checked some other claims in other media about the Wuhan virus, but then it applied it to the documentary somehow.

And at the bottom, the first name I saw of someone responsible was a reviewer of this article that said the documentary was fake, that didn't review the documentary.

And the name at the bottom was a woman named Danielle Anderson who worked at the Wuhan lab.

So if you put two and two together, Facebook is inviting anonymous people and people who work at the Wuhan Lab to censor and ban information on Facebook about the Wuhan Lab.

I mean, this is astonishing to me.

So this has happened to us as well.

I did a special on the Wuhan lab and used only the verifiable facts.

Did not say that we knew for sure that it came from there.

We didn't even talk about a bioweapon because I just don't think it is a bioweapon.

I think it's sloppy work, you know, possibly.

And we had USA Today fact check us using a story that was over a month old that was saying that there was no evidence that it came from a lab.

Well, there is new evidence.

Facebook had to retract that, but it took us a week and they did the same thing.

They throttled our business.

They rerouted

our viewers.

And they sent them to the WHO for the facts, which is in and of itself a whole nother kettle of fish that is a problem.

I find this terrifying, Cheryl.

It is.

And early on, I was worried because I saw some months ago that Google signed an agreement with WHO to make sure that people, when they searched for coronavirus, only got the approved information from WHO and I'm sitting here thinking news people used to understand

that there was this control of information it's not that everything that comes out of officials mouths is false necessarily it's not but we should be asking the questions and fact-checking ourselves not based on hey there's no evidence because no evidence is in yet we all know that Without evidence doesn't mean it didn't happen.

We didn't know the origins.

We still don't know the origins of the coronavirus, but to make it on the front end where you're bullied and controversialized for asking the question is just crazy.

But this is where we are with this controlled environment today.

So what do you think that means for people's voices like yours, Cheryl?

I'm really worried about the narrowing universe of information we're allowed to see.

And I've just been speaking about this all I can.

I write about it.

I think a lot of people see it, but I don't have the answer to how to get around it

these interests and companies control so much of the information that we're able to see.

And it kind of works.

I talked to people, including scientists working on coronavirus, who didn't want to say certain things, and they're certainly not coronavirus doubters, but that propaganda campaign started that if you ask a question or point out that the fatality rate being distributed was incorrect, you're suddenly controversialized by these forces.

These scientists did not want to say what they really thought for fear of coming out against what looked like official policy.

And they're simply going by scientific fact versus these wild projections that were out there.

But

things might be different if we had all the facts on the table or some debate about models being used rather than just being spoon-fed these things with the press saying, whatever you say, whatever you say, we'll believe at a given moment.

So I'm also concerned that it's not just, I mean, for a while there, there was somewhat of an adversarial role with the government on Facebook and YouTube and Google.

And I know that Mark Zuckerberg was, you know, begging for regulation, et cetera, et cetera.

But there was some

speculation on the government.

Now that is seemingly only speculation on Donald Trump.

And the government is inviting these people in.

And these people

from the tech world are coming in, in, giving them all kinds of information.

If we have the tech world

providing the government with information and the government providing them with protection, and they are limiting what we can see and what questions we can ask, we are in an authoritarian regime.

Well, I argue in the book I'm writing now, when people say, well, that's not really censorship because these are private companies.

I don't I think there's a new definition, and I'm making a new definition of censorship.

These companies are so tied into government, in other words, to avoid regulation, certain people in government, for example, they're one and the same in many instances.

If they're going to do the bidding of certain political figures to avoid certain regulation, for example, they're doing the bidding of government.

This is censorship on behalf of government.

It is.

It is.

There's just a, you're right.

It needs a new definition.

These are not

private companies that are disinterested.

I mean, we used to have,

and Cheryl, I don't even understand it.

We used to have a media that understood that they were to challenge

truth no matter where it came from.

They were to question and to probe and to see.

Right now, we have on CNN,

we had Chris Cuomo fake his own story of him being in the basement and coming coming up for the first time.

We know he was outside of his house with COVID-19.

We know he was with his family.

He had an altercation on the street.

And CNN

runs this story of him just coming out of the house for the first time anyway.

I mean,

there's nobody with a shred of

credibility left in the mainstream media.

I noticed a big change while I was at CBS in a fairly short period of time where we would never have at one point in time have taken a press release from a federal agency, for example, and just published the press release and said that's the truth.

Not that it's necessarily false, it's just that you do your due diligence when someone's trying to put out a point.

You find out what really is.

And we switched to toward the end of my time there, and I left in 2014,

to just publishing anything anybody would say uncritically from from certain, you know, depends on who it is, but certain government people could go on TV or certain corporate people or press releases with no counterpoint, no due diligence.

And if you said, if you dared to say, well, this may not be the whole story because they have such and such interests, you were looked at like the crazy one.

I mean, it just has turned upside down.

Cheryl, what do you suggest people do?

I think they should speak out about it and try not to be intimidated too much by it because I say call them on it.

I've been writing about what Facebook did and they are going to, they already throttled me down or whatever the word is.

I'm throttled down on Twitter.

But there's still some reason.

Some people still see it.

Keep calling it for what it is.

Don't get intimidated into not asking questions that you have.

People out there are asking the most logical questions about coronavirus that almost nobody in the press asked at those briefings.

And I was at home going

in the very beginning, asked to see the models.

Like nobody that I saw, and I

ever asked what bottles these were based on early on so that we could look at them.

And didn't CDC have their own?

And wasn't there a range, like best case and worst case scenario?

I said two months ago, and I'm obviously not the brightest person in the room, and I'm not a scientist, that the fatality rates were wrong because they had the wrong denominator since they were telling us.

85% of people are asymptomatic, but they weren't counting them in the fatality rate.

Now everybody agrees that's the case.

Nobody's Nobody's asking simple questions people at home know to ask, but the reporters, in many cases, are so busy just listening, either trying to criticize Donald Trump's personality or accept everything that what they say a scientist says is true, the scientist is sure, when scientists are frequently wrong.

They'll tell you themselves.

You know, the knowledge is evolving day by day.

So to sit there on the front end and say, you must never question this statistic or you're a coronavirus doubter and all those stats have proven wrong and incorrect over time.

So

it's just a really crazy environment.

And you and I are being listened to right now by Media Matters and other groups that are looking for ways to controversialize and write up in Vanity Fair, New York Times, Washington Post, Associated Press, whatnot, to write up some sort of controversy they can generate and create so people will not listen to what I think their hearts tell them is reason.

Cheryl Atkinson, anything we can do to support you, you have my full support.

I so respect your courage and your intellect, and anything that you ever need, please reach out.

Your voice cannot be throttled down.

Thank you so much.

Thank you, Glenn.

You bet.

Wake up, America.

It's here.

It's here.

All right.

Trying to figure out the housing market right now.

It's kind of like walking through a minefield blindfolded with clown shoes.

But let me tell you, you need, if you need to sell your home or want to sell your home, you need to do it right now.

And you need to get one of the best real estate agents that you can find.

Now, we have gone through

real estate agents all over the country.

We have 5,000 now in line waiting to be one of our agents, but we only have, I think, about 1,300 or 1,500 now because

we don't accept everybody and we don't want to expand too big because we want to make sure that we have the ability to monitor everybody.

So we're going to send you, when you go to realestate agentsitrust.com, we're going to send you the name of a real estate agent and you call, you

give you the number and you call and you do your own due diligence and interview them.

But I think you're going to be impressed.

These are the people that will really sell your house and they will buckle down and really do the job.

Event 201.

The coronavirus war game.

9 p.m.

Eastern tomorrow night at Blazetv.com/slash Glenn.

You're listening to Glenn back.

This is the Glenbeck program.

We're just talking about the numbers from all of the experts, and

we are

actually at the margin of error of the bottom of the

best case scenario right now.

Remember, they said 60,000 to what, 90 or 100,000.

And with

2,000 deaths a day, we'll easily be at 60,000 by August.

And that's what the prediction was.

It's the best case scenario.

But I think the problem comes with the media hyping the worst case scenario.

And everybody's like, well, 250,000 people didn't didn't die.

Well, no, they didn't.

And the model, you know, you can agree or disagree with the model, but the bottom part of the model was accurate.

Would you say that's accurate, Stu?

Yeah, because I've made this criticism before that I think the models were all too high.

And it's, you know, Cheryl made it as well.

And I think there definitely were models that oversold the numbers.

And they were highly publicized by the media, where I think most of the fault is on this.

But, I mean, if you look at

big model that they've been talking about most frequently is this IHME model, which its mean predictions has varied between 60,000, which it's at now, which to me is absurdly low right now.

I mean, we're already at 42,000.

We're definitely going to clear 60,000 easily.

From 60,000, and the highest was, it depends on

since they released the models, it was 93,000.

It was reported at 100,000 at one point.

And there was a big press conference where they talked about multiple models and talked about a number between 100 and 240 000 which people keep going back to but i mean

is a hundred thousand off the table i don't think so right we're at in a year's time in a year's time

yeah i mean it let's just say that can be done because remember there's other cities that are flaring up later boston seems to be flaring up now um new york the tri-states area seems to be on the right side of this um

we haven't had any kickbacks we haven't had any kickbacks yet when we open things up they say it's going to get worse again, blah, blah, blah.

So, yeah, 100,000, the bottom of the scale.

But that's not what people heard.

No, that's not what people heard.

Because the media wanted to make sure everybody was scared out of their minds so they would all stay home and do exactly what everybody told them to do.

You know, except for Chris Cuomo and George Stefano.

And that's where the fault lies on this.

You're listening to Glenn Beck.

Hello, America.

Yesterday, oil collapsed.

$40

negative

a barrel.

Somebody was paying $40

to take a barrel of oil yesterday.

What does all of that mean?

If you want to hear the explanation of why that happened, how that happened, just go back and listen to the podcast.

It was last hour.

But I want to tie some other things together now and show over the horizon.

I'll give you the quick numbers of the coronavirus update, but I really want to spend time on what's now coming our way because of it.

We do that in one minute.

This is the Glenbeck program.

So how much of your shopping is being done online right now?

90% of it.

The entire economy.

The entire economy is really online.

It has shifted to online sales.

And it's been coming for a long time, but this pandemic has pushed the pendulum and has really hurt those local businesses.

It's also hurting your job because a lot of us work for local businesses.

If you do shopping online, I can't recommend honey enough.

Honey is the online shopping tool to end all online shopping tools.

It's about to become your best friend and your biggest saver.

It's like your mother, your grandmother clipped out all the coupons and she's standing next to you at the checkout line and she's like, no, wait a minute, I've got a coupon for that someplace in my purse.

And you're like, oh my gosh.

Well, that's what honey does.

It's like your grandmother online or your mother online.

I've got a coupon for that.

All you do is you belly up to the checkout line online.

You hit checkout and honey.

You click on the honey button and it applies all of the savings immediately and applies them to your purchase.

So you pay less.

It's free.

They don't take any of your information and sell it to anyone.

They get paid by the people who are selling the products because they know if you get a good deal there, you'll actually buy the product there.

That's what honey does.

It's super easy.

All you have to do is go to get honey for free at joinhoney.com/slash back.

That's joinhoney.com/slash back.

Get it for free now.

It's a new app, joinhoney.com/slash back.

All right, real quick, let me just go through some of the numbers.

Total confirmed cases worldwide.

We're almost at 2.5 million.

We are up

about 2,100 in deaths worldwide.

The U.S.

now has 792,938 confirmed cases, and we're up about 2,000 deaths overnight.

The U.S.

currently has 13,951 people in serious or critical condition, up slightly, about 600 from yesterday.

Now, let me give you some of the other news and try to show you what's coming over the horizon because I think some of these things

Well, they they all tie together and what we're looking at going forward.

First of all, I've been telling you about meat prices.

Meat prices are going to go up.

It will be temporary, but they will go up.

The National Guard has just been deployed to two meat processing plants in Iowa.

After the Smithfield meat plant was closed in North Dakota last week, workers from Smithfield were apparently hired by JBS National Beef Packing Company.

Tyson's Food also had an outbreak and is closing one of its Iowa plants, the meat processing plant.

The National Guard is expected to help with testing and medical care of the workers in an attempt to try to get the food processing plants back online more quickly.

The Iowa meat packers produce about a third of the nation's pork and 15%

of our beef.

So with the two plants going out in Iowa and then the plant, the Smithfield plant up in North Dakota, you're looking at about 50% of all of the pork in America offline.

This means that something we haven't seen, I think, since the Great Depression: hog farmers may be forced to euthanize and just bury their hogs.

Even the FDA, even if the FDA buys hogs from farmers without production plants to slaughter and process the meat, the animals are going to have to be put down.

Let's see, let's go for Vladimir Putin for the win.

West Texas oil crashes 300%

to negative $41 per barrel.

I know this doesn't make sense, but I make sense of it in the podcast.

You can hear today's podcast, wherever you get podcasts.

It's an hour or two of the show where I explain what happened yesterday.

It's really important that you understand

and how it works because it's going to happen again.

This is the first time that it's ever happened in history.

It's going to happen again probably in the next couple of weeks.

This is all coming from Russia and Saudi Arabia.

Russia threatened to just open up their lines and pump 20% more oil.

This is before COVID hit.

Saudi Arabia said, Really, we'll outlast you.

They just opened up full bore.

Then COVID hit, and there was way too much oil.

We're not driving.

We're not using heating oil.

The price result is

the price for fuel and oil has dropped 35%.

We are not at the bottom yet.

Trump has temporarily suspended immigration into the U.S.

Now, this comes from a story that we have been talking about here for a while.

These countries in South America and Mexico have not prepared for this.

at all.

They have not hit their peak yet.

They going to be in serious, serious trouble.

We as a nation should help them in any way we can, but we should not have open borders.

Anybody who right now is complaining that these people on the streets going to church, they're going to get everybody sick, are going to be exactly the same people who are telling us that we have to let Mexicans and people on our border in to flood our hospitals.

It will be disastrous.

It will be disastrous for the president and PR because you know exactly how the press is going to handle it.

It will be a disaster for our hospitals.

It will be disaster for

everything all around, including the people on the borders.

Keep your eye on this.

Eight out of ten Americans want immigration to stop right now for the U.S.

So this is not a bunch of xenophobes.

This is eight out of ten Americans.

Say stop it right now.

If our government will listen to the people, which they don't have a habit of doing at all,

we can avoid more pain and suffering and trouble.

But that is not going to happen.

Second night of riots in Paris happened yesterday because of the racist police locking down communities.

I'm only pointing this out because France is ahead of us.

The same kind of stuff is going to be happening here in our streets by the same kind of socialist fomenters of revolution.

The states now are burning through their cash for unemployment payments.

What does that mean?

That means all of their pensions, all of the things that they promised everybody and we all knew would collapse.

We all said we wouldn't pay for because they made their choice.

I live in Texas for a reason.

I I didn't help make that choice.

I knew that was insane in California when you started it.

Well, now, because of coronavirus, they're burning through all that cash for unemployment, and they're all going to come to the federal government for a handout, and the federal government will bail them out.

This is not going to sit well with people who

played by the rules and now are having their money taken from them in taxes also taken from them through inflation, which will come

after deflation.

Listen to last hour for more information on that.

Another thing that we're going to have a problem with, there is a coronavirus crime wave that looks like it is starting to happen now

because

we have released so many prisoners.

This crime wave is already sweeping other parts of the world, and it is going to come here.

And the people will beg

for the top to come down.

Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg is

saying that anybody who is organizing these lockdown protests are spreading misinformation and he is going to be banning all of that misinformation.

This is also going to add to a very toxic stew that Americans are not going to sit for.

We don't believe the media.

You're now taking an organization like Facebook and they are coupling with the WHO, they're coupling with the UN, and they're coupling with governments here and abroad, and they are silencing the voices of people who happen to disagree.

This is not going to end well for anybody.

Meanwhile, in China, China now is saying that American democracy is dying, declaring Washington is no match for China.

It's a dying democracy.

It spread to the U.S., and in the U.S.,

it's almost as if the U.S.

is a primitive society.

It shouldn't have been like this if the U.S.

had the slightest science and organization.

To put it bluntly, according to the Chinese, the U.S.

is no match for China in terms of anti-epidemic organization and mobilization.

The U.S.

political system has been hit by the pandemic on its weak side, and we were willing to show understanding for that.

After all, every system has its weaknesses.

Buckle up.

Things are not going to go well with China.

What we have

coming

is the crushing of the American entrepreneur, the crushing of

48% of the workforce that works for a small local business,

the implosion of trust with the media and with the government,

an implosion of trust

on

social media and any of these outlets.

We have a colossal loss of jobs.

We're going to have hunger and

people out of housing, homelessness.

It is coming our way.

It is

so critical that you don't

play in to any of the anger or the hatred.

If we are to survive, we need to help each other.

If we are to survive, we need to double our efforts on feeding each other, healing each other, helping each other, teaching each other.

Everyone is going to come with a solution.

Everyone is going to come with a solution.

There is only one solution.

And hopefully you're finding that right now at home.

Your solution lies in your own family and in your own neighbors.

All of this stuff with politics doesn't mean diddly squat to you in your home right now.

What does matter is getting back to work so you can feed your family?

What does matter is how your family is doing and the education that they have.

What does matter is you being able to reach out to your family?

All of the other stuff is meaningless, it's non-essential.

If we don't reach out to one another, and we don't bolster one another, and we don't do it with

and we do it with cheer and

light hearts,

and we do it with compassion,

darkness will win.

There is a concerted effort

to manage you,

to make sure that

your voice doesn't spread if it is out out of step with those whose voices count.

There is a concerted effort now

to

just dismiss those little entrepreneurs.

What they don't make a difference.

I mean,

okay, maybe Sonic.

I mean, we can't lose Sonic.

We can't lose Starbucks, but what?

They have a little store where?

What?

That's who the majority of Americans, or 48% of Americans, work for.

The little guy that is having a hard time getting a loan right now.

If they break the back of our spirit of entrepreneurship, if they break the back of the local business,

That's what set America apart.

That's the American dream.

To be able to chart your own course, not to be successful, but to chart your own course.

That cannot be broken.

Hard times made us,

and they will make us again.

We will be stronger as we come out the other side of this, but it's going to be a schlog.

But as long as we have one another,

America will come through it.

And we will once again be the wonder of the world.

Well, spring is here, giving away to summer, and here in the great state of Texas, that means that everybody is going to be out grilling, being outdoors, grilling, fun in the sun.

All that crap is just not me.

For when it gets hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk, which is about three weeks from now, I go into air conditioning hibernation.

I do not want to be standing in front of a grill.

This is the best thing about the RekTech grills.

Okay, welcome to the program.

Stu.

Yes, Glenn.

I think I just, I think I just, I think I dug myself into a hole.

A little depressing.

I need a rope to get me out.

Yeah.

How about let's talk about the upcoming intense border crisis we're about to face.

That sounds like it might bring us out of this a little bit.

No, this is great.

So Donald Trump's getting beat up by the media because of a tweet last night where he said he was going to put a temporary halt on immigration, which it's not entirely clear what he means yet.

Let's see what the executive order actually says.

I think he might mean an entry ban, which is kind of what he did with China and Europe.

Is that a good idea?

Is that a bad idea?

Well, I'll give you one example.

Good idea.

Right?

A good idea.

And here's why.

The countries to our south, as wonderful people as they are, and we love them, and we welcome them with open arms in all circumstances, except when they have COVID-19.

We don't want to welcome them in those circumstances.

And they don't have the finances, they don't have the testing that we have.

They haven't really done much of anything to stop this.

So, for an example, Ecuador, a country of

17 million,

has

normally every month about a thousand people die in it.

Thousand people per month month die.

In the first two weeks of April, they have had 7,500 people die.

It's not COVID, I'm sure.

No, no.

Look, we don't know.

It could be there's a really widespread amount of bunk beds, and people are all falling off the top bunk at the same time.

We don't know.

Could have been covered in lava.

Could have been

lava just could have come in into their house through the chimney.

I don't even know.

But

we don't find out.

We don't know.

So they're on pace for what, 14,000, 15,000 deaths when they usually do 1,000.

When countries start looking at that, let's just say best case scenario, we open this up and it goes really well and we have very minimal to no deaths and a healthy healthcare system and a rebounding economy.

What does that do?

What signal does that send to Mexico, to Ecuador, to all the countries to our south who have been in a situation for decades that whenever things get tough, they rush to our border.

And usually half the country says, you're a hate monger if you don't let all of them in.

What is going to happen when that happens on our border?

It's going to be a humanitarian crisis.

Yeah.

And the president is totally right to be prepared for it.

And if they say that that's not going to happen, really?

Because that's exactly what those people did when they ran to the Hamptons.

They got out of New York because it was a death factory and they went someplace else that wasn't a death factory.

That's exactly what the people south of our border will do with us.

And it will be a humanitarian nightmare.

And Donald Trump is right to stop it right now.

You're listening to Glenn Beck.

All right, let me tell you about Norton.

Here's the biggest surprise with the lockdown.

If you have a family, it's

your family is probably busier than it was before.

I mean,

you know, all of this wanting to get back to our jobs and stuff.

I mean, who's there?

I mean, not me.

I just.

This Wednesday night, a special on what is coming with COVID-19.

This is the Glenn Beck program, and I can't thank you enough for being who you are and listening.

I want to give you an update.

Today,

388,000 meals are going to be delivered into Detroit, into one of the worst-hit sections of Detroit.

They are struggling for anything.

These are people without stoves,

and much more is headed their way tomorrow.

And it's all because of this audience.

Thank you so much for all of your help with Mercury One.

We are concentrating on getting food, PPEs when we can find them, getting those to places that need them.

We also are

really trying to help with suicide prevention

and also domestic abuse.

There's a real problem of domestic abuse that is happening right now.

And Mercury One is on the front lines.

And if you would like to help us, please do so.

You can help.org.

Now, there's something else that I wanted to share with you because I'm really concerned about these small mom and pop businesses that

I grew up in a bakery.

My dad wouldn't have survived this.

We would have been out of business.

We lived, you know, month to month.

And if the business had a bad month like this,

we would have been out.

And,

you know, we wouldn't have gotten a loan from the government because all the other big places around town would have gotten it.

there would be no place for my dad and my family to turn.

So the government is not paying attention to these really small places, and we're not talking usually about a lot of money.

I want to introduce you to Mike Hand.

He's a New Jersey police officer up at New Providence, New Jersey.

Hi, Mike.

Are you there?

How are you doing, Glenn?

Very nice to have us on here.

Yeah, sure.

I wanted you to explain to the audience

the

diner, the local diner, and what it means to you and to all the police officers in New Providence.

Oh, absolutely.

Thanks for the outlay here.

And it's a local establishment like everyone has in their town,

local diner.

The owner, longtime friends of ours, they support the cops.

To say they support us is an understatement, actually.

They do so much for us.

Obviously, like you said, other local businesses are affected but when we heard about the diner and the 18 servers we all kind of said hey what can we do for them and i found the go fund me avenue it just worked out very well and the reason and the reason why is because these guys when you're out on a call they'll keep your dinner warm they'll sometimes when you guys are working late they'll they'll drop food off at the station i mean they they really take care of you guys yeah you were a small town like you probably know suburb of new york City.

And we might, you know, we have a few cops working where we have a domestic violence caller.

We have to leave the diner.

And these waiters and waitresses will keep it hot.

One time they

we couldn't come back in time, and the one waiter actually drove to where he saw the cops and he dropped it off to us because he knows that that's the last place open.

And that was George, really good waiter, good friend.

And, you know, for him to drop it off on the way home, he didn't have to do that.

And Debbie, you know, these waiters and waitresses, they're like family to us.

And we figured, figured, you know, raise a couple thousand bucks.

And it went above and beyond because, God forbid, of all tragedies, they had a fire two days after we did the GoFundMe.

So they were doing like so many small businesses, the to-go order, the curbside pickup.

But now their kitchen's burned up.

They can't even do that.

And the owners had to shut it down for a month or two until they can get it back up and running.

The owner, great guy, him and his brother, a long time.

They said, listen, we don't care about us.

We'll be okay.

We care about our staff.

And I said, yeah, I know me too.

And I'm just so happy that they were able to get a couple thousand bucks raised on GoFundMe.

And it's just the support for us has always been there.

And we wanted them to know that

we got their back too.

So this is the kind of thing that I am so excited to see.

And I know this is America.

Bailouts are bailouts.

This is America where it's neighbor helping neighbor.

And you had a

you had a $15,000 goal so they could repair the kitchen and open back up and be able to pay

for some of the bills and pay the

servers.

You're about $3,000 shy.

Go ahead.

We did five other GoFundMes for other restaurants in New Providence, too, because we're cops.

We eat a lot.

If you had a bakery growing up,

like cops want to eat food.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah.

We appreciate you putting the spotlights on the small businesses, you know.

Yeah.

So if you would like to help out,

just go to GoFundMe and search for Prestige Diner

in New Jersey, and you will find this page.

But let's see if we could at least get them up over the 15,000 markets.

They're at 12,000 now, and I think we can do better than that.

If this sounds like something that you would like to help out on, here's a small business that

really has the right heart for the community and needs some help.

Go fund me and look for Prestige Diner in New Jersey.

Mike, how's everything else up there?

We're doing good.

Some of our cops are married to doctors and nurses, obviously.

I think those guys are on the front line this time.

And

we want to thank the nurses and the MS, the doctors.

Our own PBA local actually did a

raising of funds for officers that died in the line of duty.

And they had a big fundraiser plan for the National Law Enforcement Memorial in May, which obviously was canceled due to this stuff.

And it's the sad thing because we raised $5,000 last year to, we just give a check to the families of the officers that die.

And they started a 501c3 called SUP-BRO, S-U-P-B-R-O.

It's great.

I've seen this.

It's awesome.

It's cops helping cops.

It's like you said, neighbors helping neighbors.

We help each other.

We got to take care of ourselves.

All right.

So here's something else.

If

you want to check this out,

they missed their $5,000 fundraiser,

S-U-P-B-R-O-Supbro.org.

And you have pictures on there of everybody that's involved in all of the different things, and you can buy t-shirts or just donate, whatever.

But it's a great cause of law enforcement helping law enforcement.

Thanks, Michael.

I appreciate it.

Be safe.

You bet.

Michael Hand

from

New Jersey.

Let me give you another.

You know,

let me just give you something that's kind of cool that nobody knows that

you can tell somebody today and they'll be like, what?

Hydroxychloroquine.

So I've been looking at hydroxychloroquine for a while, and we've been looking into all the research and everything else.

And for the life of me, I have not been able to figure out why the press, other than they just hate Donald Trump, why the press has just torched this product.

It does so much good, and it has been around for a long time.

And as I was looking into the history of hydroxychloroquine,

the

quin, if you will, in

hydroxychloroquine actually is really old.

Back, I think, in the 1700s

in India,

there was a problem with malaria, and they had just found, I think it's called quinine, it's the quin in hydrochloroquine,

and they had

a real problem with malaria with the British soldiers who had come down into India.

and tons of them were dying.

And so they decided to try this new treatment.

They took the quinine and I think stirred it up into some stuff and then said, here, drink this stuff.

And it was awful tasting, but

it

cured the malaria.

Well, they start telling everybody, you got to drink this tonic, you got to take this, you got to take this, and it'll help.

It's a malaria tonic.

Just take this and it'll...

Well, the word got out from everybody.

Oh, don't drink that stuff.

It's horrible.

You'll never get the taste out of your mouth.

Well, all of a sudden, the military, Great Britain, noticed that the malaria rate started going up again.

And they went and talked to all the soldiers and they were like, yeah, well, I haven't been drinking it because it's just horrible.

They're like, you got to drink it, man.

So they went back to the drawing board and they thought,

what can we put in this?

What can we mix this with that will hide some of the taste?

Well, they found it.

It was a liquor.

It was gin.

And they put gin

in the quinine tonic.

And that's where gin and tonic comes from.

So here's this drug that has been

so horribly maligned because, you know, I don't know.

We don't know what it's going to do.

It is the original gin and tonic.

It's that's where that drink actually came from.

Really?

It's been around for a while.

Maybe that's what they're saying: they're saying it's a cure for everything.

They're saying just drink a lot, and then everything feels good.

Just a lot of it.

Everything feels good after that.

Can I tell you something?

I found that to be true with Jack.

Really?

It works.

Yeah, it works for about two years or so.

Then things start to catch up a little bit.

But those two years, you are feeling great.

Hey, Stu, now that we're off the air, I totally made that story up.

Oh, cool.

Oh, yeah, it was totally believable.

Okay.

All right.

He went on to talk to you about Simply Safe with all of the uncertainty in the world.

9 p.m.

Eastern tomorrow night at blazetv.com/slash Glenn.

You're listening to Glenn Beck.

I cannot believe.

This is the kind of nonsense that I have to put up with.

Stu did not believe me.

Of course.

He was like, I could see him.

I'm watching him on Zoom or whatever it is, Microsoft Teams, and I'm watching him as I'm telling that story.

And he is typing away.

And I'm like, that guy is looking this story up.

He does not believe a word I'm saying.

It seems like one of those stories that you would say on the air and then would prove to be completely incorrect.

I'm just saying it.

That is definitely what crossed my mind.

It does seem like a story that is too good to be true.

It does, but

I mean, you've certainly been wrong.

You're wrong before.

I will say that.

No, wait a minute.

How am I wrong at all on this?

How am I wrong at all?

Well, so quinine has been used for centuries to treat malaria.

Yeah, yeah.

Now, it's derived from the bark of a tree.

Quinine has proved to be a highly effective treatment against malaria.

However, during the 1800s, British troops in India were given quinine as the to take as a daily medicine to stop them from contracting malaria.

Quinine is a bitter substance.

They didn't like it.

To help the medicine go down, they mixed it with water, sugar, and local fruits, and that created tonic water.

The British troops also carried a ration of gin with them.

So, with their officers' permission, they added gin, and that became tonic.

Gin and tonic.

Gin and tonic.

So you're totally right on there.

What do I have wrong?

If quinine was the thing we were talking about, you'd be completely right.

Fortunately, we're talking about hydroxyl chloroquine.

But that is just the chemical of the bark.

We don't actually make it out of bark anymore.

Well, you didn't include that in the story, did you?

Oh, my gosh.

Oh, my God.

It's the same thing.

It's the same chemical compound.

I'm busting on you.

Yeah, it basically, it's a synthetically manufactured version of the natural thing that they use in tonic water.

So, I mean, that's...

Right, so I'm sorry.

You're not going to give me a...

Oh, my gosh, you are the Washington Post.

You're going to give me four Pinocchios.

You know what?

Mostly false.

Mostly false is what I say.

Okay.

Because it's not actually made from barking.

Keep talking.

I'll say Pants on Fire.

I'll go to it.

I will give it to you.

I will tell you this.

This is why, I don't know if you've heard, in certain parts of the country, there is a shortage of tonic water.

Yes.

No, it's a stone.

It doesn't work.

It doesn't work.

I mean, because quinine, a little bit of quinine is in tonic water, but not enough to make a difference.

No.

So that's why people are saying, oh, you know what?

Tonic water, that cures COVID.

No, no, it doesn't.

First of all, we don't know if

hydroxychloroquine actually cures it.

No.

So tonic water pressure.

You know, having a

little bit of the bark in your tonic water is probably not going to do it.

Again, though,

mixing gin and tonic cures everything, which is something that people don't talk about.

No matter what you're feeling at this moment, you will feel good after that.

Do you know what's better than gin and tonic?

What's that?

Gin.

Gin.

That cures even more.

Just a big old glass of gin.

Even more, even faster.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

You can use it in case you're amputating somebody's arm.

You can use that to sterilize.

And I think it sterilizes the inside of you, too.

Or preserves you

when you're dead.

I'm not sure which one.
