Speaker 1 Breathe in.
Speaker 1 Ah,
Speaker 1
nature's gift. But let's get real.
Your indoor air probably smells stale, funky, like last night's takeout.
Speaker 1 We don't want to be a vibe killer, but allergens and odors are throwing a funk fest in your living room. Remy Halo obliterates the skunk, funk, and all that junk.
Speaker 1 Remy Halo, because no one wants to breathe funky air. Clean air is life.
Speaker 1 Let us help protect yours.
Speaker 1 Welcome home, hope.
Speaker 1
Down the road where shadows hide, feel the dark on every side. Stand your ground when times get tired.
Gotta face the dark and embrace the fire.
Speaker 1 The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.
Speaker 1 This is
Speaker 1 the Glen Beck program.
Speaker 1 Yes, it is breaking news and not the kind that anyone wants to hear, particularly right before Thanksgiving dinner.
Speaker 1 Two National Guard members shot near the White House in the middle of the day, a suspect in custody, and questions piling up
Speaker 1 faster than that stuffing on your table. I'll walk you through what we know and what we don't and why
Speaker 1 this moment feels
Speaker 1 different,
Speaker 1 especially in light of the recent news in the past weeks, months. In fact, this last year.
Speaker 1 It's Justin Barkley, and for Glenn Today, this is the Glenn Beck program.
Speaker 3 With the war in Ukraine, we've we've heard about a lot of people in both countries who are living through the nightmare of war.
Speaker 8 But there are also elderly Jewish people who are also trapped in this conflict, facing unbearable poverty.
Speaker 11 Galena is a 96-year-old Holocaust survivor who has spent her life in the same village.
Speaker 7 She's sick, she's alone, and it's bitter cold.
Speaker 9 And today, like every day, she has to decide whether to spend what little money she has on food or medication or heating.
Speaker 15 The Bible tells us when you bless elderly Jews living in poverty like Galena, you will receive blessings in return.
Speaker 17 Through the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and your generous donation, you can bring hope to the people in need.
Speaker 22 Your gift of just $25 will help provide a food box packed full of life-saving essentials that will help feed an elderly person struggling to survive.
Speaker 8 Don't delay, your gift today will help provide the lifesaving food and hope that Galena and many like her desperately need.
Speaker 23 To rush your gift, call 888-488-IFCJ.
Speaker 7 That's 888-488-4325, or give online at glennforthefellowship.org.
Speaker 9 That's glenforthefellowship.org.
Speaker 1 You know, selfishly, I'm sitting down,
Speaker 1
try to turn everything off and just enjoy some time with family over the last day or so. And the phone starts going crazy, and I start seeing the same things.
I'm sure many of you
Speaker 1 have seen too. And then
Speaker 1 it hits me. I mean, you think about what it's like for us as we're used to be.
Speaker 1 You could do a fill-in shift for Glenn or for anybody at this time of year, and it would be a lot of talk about, hey, Black Friday sales.
Speaker 1 Did you get enough turkey? Did you eat too much? All of these kind of
Speaker 1 inconsequential, slow, sort of
Speaker 1 boring things to talk about. And I
Speaker 1 yearn for those times.
Speaker 1
It's a different day in America. It's a different day today.
And I think we have to realize why that is and
Speaker 1 what's at stake.
Speaker 1
So as I mentioned, it's Justin Barkley. I'm filling in for Glenn on what I like to call Beck Friday on Black Friday.
I have the pleasure and the honor of doing this the last several years.
Speaker 1 And we get great conversations going. In fact, maybe I give a chance to join in today.
Speaker 1 Love to hear from you because I'd like to kind of of hear where you're at, what you're feeling, the pulse of where
Speaker 1 what you're thinking today. For me,
Speaker 1 I said, you know, selfishly, for me, as I'm sitting down thinking about just wanting to turn things off a little bit and have some time with family, kind of having an idea of what we want to talk about today and where we want to go, but then you have this breaking news and I can't think.
Speaker 1 I can't even bring myself to bear to think about what it was like for the families of these two guard members.
Speaker 1 You know, this news hits us in our gut,
Speaker 1
and I can imagine what it feels like to be on the other side of this. I can't even imagine what they're going through.
One of those members is dead today.
Speaker 1 One of those members will never come home, not just this Thanksgiving, but will never,
Speaker 1 will never come home. for Thanksgiving, for Christmas.
Speaker 1 Her name was Sarah Bextrom.
Speaker 1 And she and the other member, who was
Speaker 1 brutally assassinated, that's what this really was. A brutal assassination, this attack that took place in broad daylight, point-blank
Speaker 1 with a man who we're learning even more and more about.
Speaker 1 There's lots that people don't want you to know about this man, but we'll try and bring you as much of that as we can today
Speaker 1 as he went on this rampage attacking both of them and shouting Aloh Akbar,
Speaker 1 at the same time.
Speaker 1 Sarah Bextram was 20.
Speaker 1 She had, along with the other
Speaker 1 guard member, just
Speaker 1 taken the oath there
Speaker 1 and sworn in, I guess,
Speaker 1 in Washington. And her story and the pictures and how young she was and how much life she had left ahead of her is just, it's incredible.
Speaker 1 It's heartbreaking and on a scale that i can't i i again i can't even imagine
Speaker 1 just steps from the white house
Speaker 1 this takes place in a moment when the nation is on edge and boy are we like more than ever
Speaker 1 every every moment it does seem like we're walking on eggshells every moment there's something new you're just waiting for the next
Speaker 1 shoe to drop, right?
Speaker 1 Just days ago,
Speaker 1
we had the story of the seditious six. These are the Congressmen and Women, one of them from my great state of Michigan.
I'm coming to you today from Wood Radio, W-O-O-D,
Speaker 1 in Grand Rapids, a radio station over 100 years old and
Speaker 1 celebrated serving
Speaker 1 this community. I'm grateful to be able to do it.
Speaker 1 But in our state, we're represented by a senator named Alyssa Slockin. She was one that really led the charge
Speaker 1 almost in the making of this video, the manufacturing of this video. Now, who's behind it?
Speaker 1 That's even more as we dig a little bit deeper into this story and why it all connects.
Speaker 1 Why things just feel a little different right now.
Speaker 1 But she was proudly proclaiming the other day that, you know, there's some orders you may not want to follow.
Speaker 1 You may find them illegal.
Speaker 1 In fact, one of her colleagues in the same video said you must not follow these orders.
Speaker 1 Rhetoric from the last months
Speaker 1 out of the folks on the left, Democrats, the media, but I repeat myself saying the same thing over and over again.
Speaker 1 You know, Trump is a fascist. Republicans, conservatives are Nazis.
Speaker 1 And the folks in the National Guard,
Speaker 1 they are,
Speaker 1 they're like the Gestapo.
Speaker 1 Here she was just a couple of days ago on ABC's This Week.
Speaker 1 Claiming the National Guard was going to start shooting civilians any day, man.
Speaker 27 Look at these videos coming out of places like Chicago.
Speaker 27 It makes me incredibly nervous that we're about to see people in law enforcement, people in uniformed military get nervous, get stressed, shoot at American civilians. It is
Speaker 27 a very, very stressful situation for these law enforcement and for the communities on the ground.
Speaker 27 So it was basically a warning to say, like, if you're asked to do something, particularly against American citizens. That's not what it was.
Speaker 1
In fact, we know that. We know the whole thing was scripted.
We now know
Speaker 1 who might actually be behind it. In fact, there are some details that we've got to sift through a little bit later on today.
Speaker 1 And in fact, this hour of the program that will shine some light on this.
Speaker 1 But I don't think, you know, you can't ignore these things. In fact, you don't have to be going back with the chalkboard and the crystal ball now to be able to see through what's happening.
Speaker 1 It's so obvious. It's happening right in front of our face.
Speaker 1 And you see stuff like this, and it's kind of hard, you know.
Speaker 1 It's kind of hard to go about your daily
Speaker 1 and the business of doing what it is that we need to do, but we must.
Speaker 1 So I think part of our mission today is to try and figure out how to walk that line as we are faced with the reality, again, that the country is changing and has probably already changed in fact I mean it really has
Speaker 1 in ways that we've got to be honest with ourselves about
Speaker 1 there's no sticking your hat in the sand like an ostrich there's no
Speaker 1 just trying to pretend like this didn't happen
Speaker 1 so we've got to face it
Speaker 1 We've got to come to grips with what is really going on, and we've got to also make sure that
Speaker 1 we do our best to continue
Speaker 1 to do what matters most
Speaker 1 to talk about what matters most to fight for what matters most
Speaker 1 and in some ways still try to carry out
Speaker 1 lots of the things that make us who we are the traditions the things that are some of the most important
Speaker 1 I think maybe getting together yesterday with family
Speaker 1 maybe getting together and having conversations is what we needed more than anything I don't know how they went for you but for our family they went well
Speaker 1 there was no incident where people were yelling at each other or calling each other names or whatnot at our table now I don't know what that was like for you
Speaker 1 but in an America where things are seemingly more divided
Speaker 1 i say seemingly because it it feels that way.
Speaker 1 You get around the dinner table and you get in person and it's a little different, isn't it?
Speaker 1 Makes you wonder. I mean, the things that happen on social media, and, you know,
Speaker 1 I'm not
Speaker 1 some massive presence online, but I've got a decent footprint. And what I see coming in on a daily basis.
Speaker 1 It doesn't even shock me anymore, but I see lots of divisive rhetoric and comments and things from people that, yeah, I think being behind the keyboard and not in person gives them the courage of a keyboard cowboy that
Speaker 1 most don't have when they do come face to face. But I also think we're being influenced.
Speaker 1 I think there's a lot of foreign actors that want nothing more than to sow the division and tear this country apart. And boy, when you break it all down, it goes even to a much deeper level.
Speaker 1 Well, that's what we're going to try and do today, is dig into the root of all of it.
Speaker 1 We'll have more on this story out of Washington, D.C. And of course, as the family of Sarah Bextrom
Speaker 1 deserves our prayers at a moment like this for the peace
Speaker 1 and comfort
Speaker 1 that only the Lord can give them.
Speaker 1
We also pray for the family of the Guardman that is continuing to recover. And there is some good news.
In fact,
Speaker 1 I've got, this was from just this morning on a release on this coming up in just a moment. But first,
Speaker 1 we'll take a quick break back after this on the Glenn Beck program.
Speaker 11 There's always somebody on my list that is impossible to shop for.
Speaker 9 Tanya is a given.
Speaker 23 What do you get for your wife that really is perfect and special in every way?
Speaker 9 Something that you know she'll just love.
Speaker 5 I have no idea.
Speaker 30 She is impossible for me to buy for unless I shop at Cozy Earth.
Speaker 4 The bamboo pajama set, she wears them every night. She loves them.
Speaker 32 They're made from soft, stretch-knit bamboo that drapes and sleeps degrees cooler than cotton. She's always cold.
Speaker 33 It's warm for her.
Speaker 32 It's lightweight. It's cozy.
Speaker 5 It's perfect for the holiday mornings or winter nights.
Speaker 14 Plus, the Cozy Earth bubble cuddle blanket is also something.
Speaker 25 I just got her one of those.
Speaker 5 Oh my gosh, she loves it.
Speaker 36 If you don't know what to get your wife, start with comfort that lasts beyond the holidays.

Speaker 1 Barkley, and for back today on the Glenbeck program, and we're going to give you a chance to join in here momentarily. But first, I wanted to give you this news.
Speaker 1 So we have Sarah Beckstrom, who was just sworn in serving in Washington, D.C., that Guards member from West Virginia, and the second injured in this situation was Andrew Wolf.
Speaker 1
Now, just this morning, in fact, and he's 24, she's 20, he's 24. He's still fighting for his life.
We got word.
Speaker 1 Going on nearly two days now,
Speaker 1
shot by this individual President Trump calls an animal. Pray for a miracle, they say online.
This is Janine Pirro
Speaker 1 this morning talking about it and giving us a little bit of an update.
Speaker 37 The other guardsmen, of course,
Speaker 37 we still have hope. He's still in critical condition.
Speaker 37 We are doing everything we can to assist his family and to make sure that they have everything they need during this difficult time for them.
Speaker 37 We are all praying for Andrew Wolf, again, a 24-year-old, taken by total surprise by an individual who made the decision to take a life on Thanksgiving Eve.
Speaker 37 He did not have that right, and the United States government will prove that.
Speaker 37 The other guards. So
Speaker 1 I don't know
Speaker 1 how much I want to get into this now, but at some point we're going to have to get into the background of this individual and exactly who he was, how he got here.
Speaker 1 And part of this is you got to make sure you shine a light on him and the situation. I don't like to shine a light on the name of the individual.
Speaker 1 I don't like to give people any more credit, but we've got to make sure that we surely
Speaker 1 point the finger of accountability here. This individual should have never been here.
Speaker 1 So he was brought in from Afghanistan
Speaker 1 under the Biden regime, and this happened, in fact.
Speaker 1 President Trump made a really interesting point about this the other night, and he was doing that kind of press conference news
Speaker 1 moment,
Speaker 1 and he shows, in fact, shows,
Speaker 1 he loves to have like visual aids, but he shows a picture of one of these airplanes that was loaded up with folks, packed to the gills,
Speaker 1 giving a little bit of the details on this. In fact, in part of this moment,
Speaker 1
he took a reporter. I mean, he took this reporter to task.
It was fantastic.
Speaker 1 That, but first, here's what he says about that individual.
Speaker 38 As you may know, DHS has confirmed that the suspect is an Afghan national
Speaker 38 flown here by the previous administration, who was such a bad administration.
Speaker 38 And I have a picture of
Speaker 38
a plane. This is what it looked like when they came in.
It was total bedlam. Do you remember that period of time? Total bedlam.
Speaker 38 People crammed onto the plane.
Speaker 38 And the toughest, meanest,
Speaker 38
most capable physically got on the plane. Not the people that we were looking for or that they wanted to bring in.
Here's a picture for you. Just take a look at that plane.
Speaker 38
standing on top of each other and sitting on top of each other. This is what we had under the Biden administration.
That whole thing should have never ever happened.
Speaker 38 They should have left from a different base. They should have left from Bagram,
Speaker 38 as you know, and
Speaker 38 it would have been a much different story.
Speaker 38 But they didn't do that, and
Speaker 38 this was just a rout, just a terrible situation.
Speaker 38 This heinous atrocity reminds us that we have no greater national security priority than ensuring that we have full control over the people that enter and remain in our country.
Speaker 38 For the most part, we don't want them.
Speaker 38 They come in illegally,
Speaker 38 they have a lot of problems. Their countries force them in because their countries are smart.
Speaker 1 They don't want them.
Speaker 38 Let's give them to the Americans to take care of them. They come out of jails in many cases, mental institutions, they're gang members, they're drug dealers.
Speaker 39 We don't want them.
Speaker 1 Here's the moment that I think had everybody,
Speaker 1 everybody on edge. But gosh, in moments like this, you've got to have somebody.
Speaker 1 You can argue about how he says it, but you've got to have somebody that will
Speaker 1
lay down the law. And a reporter asked that just incredibly ridiculous question.
The president lets him have.
Speaker 40 Why do you blame the Biden administration?
Speaker 38 Because they let him in.
Speaker 1 She said, why do you blame the Biden administration for this? Are you stupid?
Speaker 38 Are you a stupid person? Because they came on a plane along with thousands of other people that shouldn't be here. And you're just asking questions because you're a stupid person.
Speaker 1 And
Speaker 38 there's a law passed that it's almost impossible not to get them out. You can't get them out once they come in.
Speaker 38 And they came in and they were unvetted, they were unchecked, there were many of them, and they came in on big planes, and it was disgraceful. And if you look, you'll see there was a law pass.
Speaker 38
It makes it almost impossible not to let them in, not to certify them, so to speak, once they come in. And they came in, and they shouldn't have come in.
And frankly, the whole thing was a mess.
Speaker 38 The whole Afghanistan situation was a mess.
Speaker 38 It should have never taken place. If we're going to go out and we would have gone out, because I had everybody ready to go, we were going to go out with strength and dignity and precision.
Speaker 1 So I've got to cut the president off, but we're getting close to break here. And I've got to make this point.
Speaker 1 We want more information about who the guy is and why all of this happened. But I'm going to, if I can, we'll give you details on that coming up within the hour.
Speaker 1 But also, I want to, if I can, just make this point, because this, I think, in the thumbnail is the issue.
Speaker 1 You know, a lot of us, when the president won,
Speaker 1
you may be even one of these folks, a lot of us just celebrated. We were excited.
We couldn't believe it. We almost felt like, I know I certainly did, like our nation was spared.
Speaker 1 You know, we celebrated, what a miraculous moment, especially that millimeter miracle where he was spared in his life.
Speaker 1 He's shot, and we thought, well, this is it. We've won.
Speaker 1 God's turned everything around. You know, that
Speaker 1 is true, but it's not completely over. In fact,
Speaker 1 there's more. This is Glenn Beck.
Speaker 42 Holiday time is high crime season, but not all crime should be addressed the same way.
Speaker 46 According to a 2022 FBI stat, firearms are necessary less than 1% of the time.
Speaker 49 Burna covers the other 99% of altercations with the firepower that is necessary to incapacitate an attacker for up to 40 minutes.
Speaker 22 So next time you think you need lethal force, think of Burna.
Speaker 2 Start with Burna, B-Y-R-N-A.
Speaker 46 I carry one myself.
Speaker 21 I recommend every family concerned about safety should have a Burna launcher.
Speaker 52 The new Burna Compact is the world's smallest, less lethal pistol, concealable anywhere.
Speaker 54 It fires powerful kinetic and tear gas rounds that can stop an attacker cold for up to 40 minutes.
Speaker 48 With 60 feet of range, you can confidently and effectively de-escalate a situation without the use of lethal force.
Speaker 35 No background checks, legal in all 50 states, ship straight to your door, and Burna is approved by the pros, trusted by hundreds of law enforcement agencies.
Speaker 45 Visit burnabyrna.com and find the right launcher for your family.
Speaker 57 BYRNA.com, that's Burna.com.
Speaker 1 You and your family deserve the truth. Get it from Glenn, free at glennbeck.com.
Speaker 1 Well, so what is happening? I mean, we're seeing things in this nation, even though we thought, you know, at the end of the day, the election of President Trump might save us all.
Speaker 1
Some of us had a little bit more skepticism about that. At the end of the day, you got to know exactly what we're up against.
And by the way, all the things they've been doing,
Speaker 1 not just in the last four years, but I'm talking about for decades,
Speaker 1
didn't stop. They didn't come to a screeching halt the minute he got elected.
We continue to have to fight against those things.
Speaker 1 And how you do that, really, the only way is to know exactly what you're up against.
Speaker 1 As we watch watch the things that have really transpired over the last week or two,
Speaker 1 particularly with the seditious six congress members coming out, telling folks in the military intelligence community,
Speaker 1 you don't have to obey those orders. Those are illegal orders.
Speaker 1 And in fact, they went a little further. It wasn't just you don't have to.
Speaker 1 It's, you know, if you do,
Speaker 1 Trump's not going to be president forever.
Speaker 1 And
Speaker 1 of
Speaker 1 a bit of accountability when we get back in
Speaker 1 charge.
Speaker 1 Sort of a promise they made.
Speaker 1
We're finding out more about this entire operation, and it is. It's slick.
The messaging's all,
Speaker 1 well, it's all planned. It all works together.
Speaker 1 Scripted, in fact, we, We heard Galago from Arizona, the senator the other day on CNN, admit that he didn't get to cut his portion because I don't think he got the script in time is what he said.
Speaker 1
You see, this is how it works. It's well funded, it's well thought out, and it's planned thoroughly.
Justin Barkley in for Glenn Today on the Glenn Beck program.
Speaker 1 Our next guest is going to walk us through that, exactly what we're up against and why we've got to face it. Folks,
Speaker 1 if you want to really want to save this country,
Speaker 1 if you want want to make it so that your grandkids and your kids and their grandkids have a chance to grow up in a place
Speaker 1 that you remember and maybe even better,
Speaker 1 boy,
Speaker 1 you got to make sure
Speaker 1 that you take the steps to recognize what's going on, get educated on it, and then form that plan together as we fight back. James Simpson's with us right now.
Speaker 1
He's written the book on this whole thing. In fact, he's an author.
He's an investigative journalist.
Speaker 1 His bombshell expose is out right now on the destructive Cloward and Piven strategy Glenn's been talking about for years.
Speaker 1
He explains all about how the Biden-Harris administration employed it before our very eyes. And what we're watching really play out in front of us today.
This is the chickens coming home to roost.
Speaker 1 Manufactured Crisis is the name of the book, The War to End America. James, appreciate you being here with us today.
Speaker 40
Yeah. Hey, Justin.
Great to be with you this morning.
Speaker 1 You know,
Speaker 1
you've talked about this at length for some time. I know Glenn's talked about with you in the past before.
This is something that I guess a lot of us sort of
Speaker 1
were lulled to sleep in some ways as the president got re-elected and we thought, okay, good, everything's going to change. But there's still a lot of this that's happening.
In fact,
Speaker 1 it's hard to stop
Speaker 1 a train or a big ship that's, you know, even a tractor-trailer headed down the road.
Speaker 1 We've had that. It's been coming at us for a long time, a head-on collision.
Speaker 1 And to be able to put the brakes on something like this, we really have to understand it. So can you walk us through specifically what we're facing, what we're up against, and particularly
Speaker 1 with the last week's events?
Speaker 40 Yeah, well, you know,
Speaker 40 it's been called
Speaker 40 a color revolution similar to what happened in the post-Soviet.
Speaker 40 Russian states like Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan and others.
Speaker 40 But it's really not a color revolution. Our color revolutions were non-violent, and I think
Speaker 40 I'm skeptical that they're actually
Speaker 40 genuine changes. They were
Speaker 40 apparent changes, but without any real change because those governments remain as corrupt as they were before and
Speaker 40 probably
Speaker 40 underground they're just as communist as they were before. But what we're facing really here today
Speaker 40 is much more like the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917
Speaker 40 when the Bolsheviks, a very tiny party, you know, Bolshevik
Speaker 40 is defined as the majority. and the Mensheviks, who were the socialists, who were
Speaker 40 less radical, were declared the minority, and that was by Vladimir Lenin when, in a early 1900s meeting,
Speaker 40 all the Mensheviks who were disgusted with what Lenin was talking about, they wanted to do. When the Mensheviks walked out,
Speaker 40 he declared,
Speaker 40 we're the majority. And they weren't the majority at all, but
Speaker 40 it's a violent revolution, is not a nonviolent revolution in any sense of the word. And it has been,
Speaker 40 you know, they have been working away at it, whittling away at it for about 100 years.
Speaker 40 And,
Speaker 40 you know, it started with the,
Speaker 40 well, actually started before the Frankfurt School, but
Speaker 40 it really gained a lot of momentum when all of these scholars from the
Speaker 40 Institute for Social Research in Frankfurt, Germany, were transferred to the United States in 1933 after Hitler
Speaker 40 came to power because most of the college professors of this so-called Institute for Social Research, who were all communists and many of them were actually Soviet agents, were working undercover with that
Speaker 40 you know, pretext as a reason for them to be there.
Speaker 40 And they were, there were, many of them were Jewish, so they had two strikes against them, and they were resettled into the United States in 1933 at Columbia Teachers College, where they proceeded to instruct the majority of future teachers, college professors, and administrators throughout the United States.
Speaker 40 with their poisonous ideology, which we've come to know as cultural Marxism, but
Speaker 40 they called it critical theory.
Speaker 40 And critical theory criticizes everything about Western society, top to bottom.
Speaker 40 And then the subsequent critical theories, like critical race theory, and critical legal theory, and critical women's studies,
Speaker 40 and there's dozens of them
Speaker 40 just split it into smaller pieces so that
Speaker 40 subsequent segments of society could be be divided and turned against each other. And the whole idea is to create so much chaos and so many crises
Speaker 40 that
Speaker 40 we just basically go off the rails and
Speaker 40 it launches a civil war that they hope will give them the pretext, if they're in power at the time, for declaring martial law and then clamping down on all of us, taking away our
Speaker 40 Second Amendment rights, seizing all our firearms, seizing our property, seizing our
Speaker 40 resources, and
Speaker 40 turning this country into a Soviet-style state.
Speaker 40 And that's really what has been going on. And
Speaker 1 James, can I ask you?
Speaker 1 Can I
Speaker 1 hate to interrupt you, but I got to ask you, how close are we to that? Knowing what you know based based on the past, lining it up with where we are now, how close are we to that?
Speaker 1 Because it definitely feels like we're being pushed in that direction.
Speaker 40 Oh, yeah, no, we are definitely being pushed in
Speaker 40 that direction, and we have been.
Speaker 40 And, you know, it's a combination of two things. One,
Speaker 40 you know, after four years of Biden's fraudulent
Speaker 40 administration, you know, they really,
Speaker 40 that that momentum really gained strength. And those because those people were given a free reign.
Speaker 40 And, you know, just one simple example is this latest case where now the female National Guardsman in Washington, DC,
Speaker 40 we learned this morning that she died.
Speaker 40 She had been shot in the head, so her father said it was a mortal wound and she wasn't going to make it. And the other National Guardsman who was shot is fighting for his life.
Speaker 40 You know,
Speaker 40 that's just one tiny example of the kind of chaos that the Biden regime deliberately created by
Speaker 40 basically letting anybody and everybody into this country.
Speaker 40 They did not vet the Afghan veterans who many of whom deserved to get a, what they call, a special immigrant visa to come to the United States because they had helped the United States and were in threat for their lives if they stayed.
Speaker 40
You know, Biden let anybody in, but he blocked a lot of those people from coming in. And it was deliberate.
It's like that administration
Speaker 40 took anybody who was our friend.
Speaker 40
And if you were our friend, you were their enemy. And so you were going to get punished for it.
And it is the most vicious and vindictive administration in the United States history.
Speaker 40 I think there are all a bunch of traitors
Speaker 40 right up to it, including Joe Biden, and they should all be paying for it heavily. But
Speaker 40 so there's two things.
Speaker 40 They're first, they have that momentum, and they had already gotten a green light from many local governments to go and riot, like in Portland, Oregon, and many, many other places, Seattle, Washington.
Speaker 40 And
Speaker 40 I feel like they, you know, they have the momentum on their side. And then at the same time, now that we have Trump getting elected and America finally waking up and seeing that they can say,
Speaker 40
No, we've had enough. We don't want this anymore.
It was kind of like it never dawned on anybody before that we didn't have to put up with this garbage. And so,
Speaker 40 at the same time that they have this momentum, they're also threatened very directly by the fact that they may be stopped and not only stopped, but arrested, sent to jail, fined,
Speaker 40
and everything else. And so, they're desperate at the same time.
So, they're being even more violent and more
Speaker 40 dangerous than they were before.
Speaker 40 And, you know, this Afghan national, he had worked with the Special Forces,
Speaker 40 and
Speaker 40 one of his best friends had been denied this immigrant visa and was subsequently murdered by the Taliban. So he was off the rails about that.
Speaker 40 Although it's hard to know because so many of the Afghans that we worked with turned against our own soldiers who, under the Obama administration, were not allowed to carry loaded weapons.
Speaker 40 You know, it's an insane thing. So they were basically just sitting ducks for
Speaker 40 those Afghans that decided that they didn't like American religions and they just started shooting them. And so
Speaker 40 that entire
Speaker 40 episode of that disastrous pullout, which I think was deliberately disastrous,
Speaker 40 created
Speaker 40 chaos from that one aspect, but that was just one of so many others. And there are so many things we have to think about and realize today.
Speaker 40 And the most important thing is the upcoming midterm elections.
Speaker 1 We must.
Speaker 1
Yeah, let me stop you right there because I think you're going to make a critical point, but we've got to take a break. You're talking about the midterms.
It's so important. People need to hear this.
Speaker 1 But I also want to find out from you, what do you think the solution to all this is? As you lay out what's been happening, and this has been in the making for
Speaker 1 decades now, but
Speaker 1 how do we stop it? Obviously, the first step is letting people know what's really going on. And that's part of this, getting this word out, the education piece.
Speaker 1
If you want to really dig into this, manufactured crisis is the name of the book. James Simpson will tell you where to get it and talk more about that.
First quick break. We're back after this.
Speaker 1 Justin Barkley in for Glenn Beck today on the Glenn Beck program.
Speaker 1 Here's a friendly tip: always drink upstream of the herd. If you know, you know.

Speaker 1 We've been hearing from our author guest, James Simpson, wrote Crisis, Manufactured Crisis, The War to End America, just talking about how to put a stop to all the things that we're seeing.
Speaker 1
And one of the biggest points he just made was the midterms are coming up and maybe the most critical. We don't have a lot of time here, but make your point, James.
This is big.
Speaker 40 Yeah, no. So absolutely.
Speaker 40 The Republicans have not been doing nearly enough to assure
Speaker 40 that the midterms are won at the state level and the federal level, especially in U.S.
Speaker 40 Congress, because of the Democrats regain control of Congress, and Trump is just going to spend the next two years fighting impeachment and everything else.
Speaker 40 We absolutely have to win that election.
Speaker 40 And the people who are behind all this, they need to be demonetized, and many of them need to be arrested. We need to take serious action, or we'll lose our country.
Speaker 1
I appreciate it. I know you're passionate about it, folks.
Got to read the book, Manufactured Crisis: The War to End America with James Simpson. Appreciate you doing your best to wake folks up.
Speaker 1 By the way, while you're out doing your Black Friday shopping today, the Glenn Beck Black Friday sale is live right now. Everything in the store is 25% off at Glennbeck.com.

Speaker 1 The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.
Speaker 1 This is
Speaker 1 the Glenn Beck program.
Speaker 1
Areas an international investigation going on as we speak. Cash Patel, director of the FBI, talking about that.
Sources of the Afghan suspect worked in the CIA.
Speaker 1 Zero units.
Speaker 1 Latest on those developments on this story that continues to break with pieces and bits coming out as we speak. Justin Barkley in for Glenn today.
Speaker 1
Oh, and by the way, you're going to see more and more of this. Little cracks is always how this happens.
Little cracks, little pieces here and there.
Speaker 1 Debbie Wasserman Schultz out on CNN just moments ago, I guess, blaming Trump for the guard members being shot and one of them dead.
Speaker 1
You're going to see more and more of that. That's always where it lands, blaming Trump.
Well, he gets some credit for some things coming up in just a little bit. We'll get into that.
Speaker 1 What's happening in Nigeria, by the way, it's been going on for a long time now. You're just only hearing about it recently.
Speaker 1 Over the last several decades, a man we know spent some time there in a mission, and he'll give us...
Speaker 1 details about what's happening in Nigeria behind the scenes, not just with the Christians, but
Speaker 1
the genocide itself and why it matters, why you're hearing about it most recently. It's all coming up in just moments today.
Again, Justin and for Glenn on the Glenn Beck Program.
Speaker 41 Holiday time is high crime season.
Speaker 42 Not all crime should be addressed the same way.
Speaker 44 According to a 2022 FBI stat, firearms are necessary necessary less than 1% of the time.
Speaker 49 Burna covers the other 99% of altercations with the firepower that is necessary to incapacitate an attacker for up to 40 minutes.
Speaker 22 So, next time you think you need lethal force, think of Burna.
Speaker 45 Start with Burna, B-Y-R-N-A.
Speaker 44 I carry one myself.
Speaker 22 With 60 feet of range, you can confidently and effectively de-escalate a situation without the use of lethal force.
Speaker 35 No background checks, legal in all 50 states, ships straight to your door, and Burna is approved by the pros, trusted by hundreds of law enforcement agencies.
Speaker 45 Visit Burna BYRNA.com and find the right launcher for your family. BYRNA.com, that's Burna.com.
Speaker 1 You've seen a lot of this in the news lately, and in fact,
Speaker 1
it's important that it gets covered because there's so much happening. It's hard to really keep an eye on it all.
And the question is, if it's happening there, how soon before it happens here? And
Speaker 1 folks, I guess that's probably one of the reasons why most people say they really ought to pay attention to this in Nigeria. The stories that we've been seeing
Speaker 1 are just incredible lately.
Speaker 1 And unless it's happening happening in our own backyard. And even then, sometimes it takes some folks
Speaker 1 really a lot of time before they really start to
Speaker 1 know what's going on and understand that it is important. Brad Brandon is a founder and CEO of Across Nigeria.
Speaker 1
He wanted to get a glimpse into what really is happening on the ground there for over two decades. He served in the ministry there.
He spent 10 years as a
Speaker 1 drive-time talk host with
Speaker 1 talk radio connections. Since then, in 2018, devoted himself to full-time foreign missions in high-risk.
Speaker 1 So he'll be able to give us all the details about what's happening there in the heavily persecuted regions there in Nigeria and West Africa. We appreciate it.
Speaker 1
Thank you for taking the time today, Brad. This is a big story.
We've been talking with you about it previously, and I know even the president's shining some light on it right now.
Speaker 1 Want to get down to the truth? Somebody who's seen it from the ground.
Speaker 40 Hey, Justin, good to be on with you.
Speaker 1 You too, Brad.
Speaker 1 Tell us if you can.
Speaker 1
And by the way, you know what? I'm going to say it. Happy Thanksgiving.
I think we can still say that.
Speaker 1
We can. Even in these really dark times, in these tough moments, maybe especially it's important as a pastor, I'm sure you get this.
It's important for us to maybe talk about those things.
Speaker 1 So we'll do it. What is going on in Nigeria and what's the background on it?
Speaker 40 Well, the background is that that there is a genocide that's been going on for over 10 years. We've been working there for about 10 years and I've seen it grow every single year.
Speaker 40 And we've been crying from the mountaintops that this has been going on for all of that time.
Speaker 40 And it's only been recently that the media here in the West has started to shine light on what's happening. But really what's going on is it's a targeted genocide against Christians.
Speaker 40 Most of northern Nigeria is where all of this is happening.
Speaker 40 Northern Nigeria is mostly Muslim, probably about 90% Muslim.
Speaker 40 And 12 of the northern Nigeria states are controlled by Sharia law, which is one reason why we here in the United States should care about that.
Speaker 40 But you're looking at probably over 50,000 Christians have been killed since 2009.
Speaker 40 Last year, of all the Christians that were killed in the entire world that were martyred for their faith, 90% of them were killed in northern Nigeria. So this is a huge issue.
Speaker 40 It's a huge problem that Christians here in the United States should wake up to.
Speaker 1 What do you think is going to take that?
Speaker 1 And the reason I ask is because, you know, we were just talking about
Speaker 1 our previous guest here,
Speaker 1 the past week or so on the horrific attack on the two national government
Speaker 1 and what's going on, why this is so important, the roots of it, and then how do we really, you know, how do we fight back? What are the solutions?
Speaker 1 And I think a lot of these things, and by the way, and I think you're going to get this too, but like a lot of the stuff we're looking for answers and solutions
Speaker 1 in the natural here, unfortunately, that are probably spiritually based more than anything else.
Speaker 1 How do we make people care, though?
Speaker 1 I mean, how do we make people, when there's so much happening right now, not to dump all this on you, brad, but you know, people are saying, gosh, it's hard for me to put food on the table right now
Speaker 1
with my family. And I'm worried about, you know, the economy or whatever it might be.
And I think we're so inundated that these very important topics, we sometimes we miss.
Speaker 40 I think one of the things is us here in the United States, and I'm currently in the U.S.
Speaker 40 headed back to Nigeria in about two weeks, but here in the United States, we have the greatest country in the entire world.
Speaker 40
We have an abundance of everything here in the United States. Even the poor of us here in the U.S.
live like kings compared to the rest of the world.
Speaker 40 Northern Nigeria is an area where people live on less than a dollar a day, and because of inflation, food is actually more expensive there than it is here.
Speaker 40 Now, one of the things that Scripture teaches me as a pastor and a spiritual leader is to those that are given much, much will be required.
Speaker 40 So those of us here in the United States who've been given all of the freedoms, all of the abundance that we have, all the conveniences that we have,
Speaker 40 each of us have access to our own little audience on social media.
Speaker 40 We need to use that to be a voice for people who have no voice and take a stand for people who can't stand for themselves, particularly our brothers and sisters in Christ and those are in northern Nigeria who are suffering under this persecution.
Speaker 40 We have to wake up and realize that what's happening in northern Nigeria is just
Speaker 40 it's almost like a foreshadow of the things that we see happening here. I was just telling somebody the other day, Justin, that every time that I come back to the U.S.
Speaker 40 from Nigeria, the United States is looking more and more like Nigeria every time I come back. And it all has to really do with radical Islam and corruption and Sharia law, all of these things.
Speaker 40
Northern Nigeria is a foreshadow of things that are happening here in the U.S. Wherever radical Islam is given a foothold, this is what happens.
And we're allowing that to enter the United States.
Speaker 40 We're allowing radical Islam to have a stronghold here in the United States.
Speaker 40 So for those two reasons, one, we've been given so much here in the U.S., and we have a vested interest in this because we see it filtering into our country.
Speaker 40 The church in the United States needs to wake up and start doing something about it.
Speaker 1 Yeah, I I think that's a very good point.
Speaker 1 You mentioned this, and I know it's not just Christian persecution there.
Speaker 1 This is happening to lots of folks in Nigeria. But walk us through
Speaker 1 what you think that looks like.
Speaker 1 Sharia law, by the way, that's another big, big buzzword we've been hearing here in America, especially what's happening in Texas and places like Michigan, where I'm at as well.
Speaker 1 These are things that are starting to key at the top of folks' consciousness right now.
Speaker 40 Yeah, absolutely. Sharia law, like I said, controls 12 of the northern Nigeria state.
Speaker 40 This is a place where if you are a Muslim and you convert to Christianity because you want to leave that brutal system,
Speaker 40
that is a blasphemy law that is punishable by death under Sharia law. Women are worth half that of a man under Sharia law.
Children are abused under Sharia law.
Speaker 40 These are all things that are happening, openly accepted in the system of Sharia law. We even see it filtering here in the United States.
Speaker 40 Back in 2009, there was a superior court judge who consulted an IMOM to make a decision on a woman who was accusing her husband of abuse.
Speaker 40 And because her testimony was worth half that of her husband's, the IMOM under Sharia law told the judge to believe the man over the woman, the man's testimony over the woman.
Speaker 40 That Superior Court judge in New Jersey, of all places,
Speaker 40
decided to rule against the wife and not give the wife the protection that she needed. That is Sharia law creeping into our own legal system.
It's happening under the Arbitration Act in the UK.
Speaker 40 Under the Arbitration Act in the UK, they are calling for Sharia law to be used as precedent in their legal court decisions. So it's filtering into the West.
Speaker 40 it's filtering here into the United States, and it is a dangerous system that robs the population of, I'll just say it, human rights.
Speaker 40 It is an offense to human rights, Sharia law is. And if you want to see that on full display, just look in northern Nigeria.
Speaker 40 Like you said, it's not just Christians that are being targeted, although it's,
Speaker 40 I would say, inordinately targeted at Christians. But Boko Haram and Iswa, that control a lot of the areas that I work in,
Speaker 40
they will target anybody who doesn't hold their radical beliefs. They'll kill Muslims.
They'll kill people of any religion that do not hold their radical beliefs.
Speaker 40 So it is not just an assault on Christians. It's an assault on everybody.
Speaker 40 Although I will emphasize and say that the persecution and the genocide that's happening in northern Nigeria, it is absolutely targeted toward Christians.
Speaker 1 Pastor Pastor Brad Brandon, acrossnigeria.org is the organization and the update. Now, you've seen, and we have, that President Trump,
Speaker 1 I don't know, ever seen
Speaker 1
such a strong statement coming from the United States, but particularly shining a light on this. It's just the beginning.
But what needs to happen?
Speaker 1 Obviously, there are groups like you that are going in, doing work on the ground, but what needs to happen from the support of the United States as a whole and maybe even for folks that are listening?
Speaker 40
Well, President Trump was calling for military action. In fact, he said we'll go in guns blazing.
When I asked what he meant about that, he said airstrikes and possibly boots on the ground.
Speaker 40 I welcome that.
Speaker 40 We've had presidents,
Speaker 40 the past two presidents who have been asleep on this issue.
Speaker 40 In fact, President Biden, one of the first things he did when he took office was he took Nigeria off the country of particular concern list while thousands of Christians were being slaughtered.
Speaker 40 So I welcome any attention that a president is going to give to this issue. And I think it's a complex issue that's happening in northern Nigeria.
Speaker 40 You have groups like ISWA, which is the Islamic State of West Africa, and then you have Boko Haram. Those are terrorist groups that have a radical
Speaker 40 Muslim ideology, and they will kill anybody who doesn't hold that radical belief.
Speaker 40 So when we're talking about military action or even leveraging the Nigerian government to get involved, which they've been asleep on this issue for a long time, I think military action is what's needed when it comes to groups like Iswa and Boko Haram.
Speaker 40
There's also an issue of the Fulani Muslims. The Fulani Muslims are an ethnic group in northern Nigeria.
Now, there are some Fulani Muslims that are radicalized.
Speaker 40 There are some who are militant in their approach, no doubt about that.
Speaker 40 But most Fulani Muslims, and that's who I predominantly work with, we have Fulani Muslim schools that we operate throughout northern Nigeria.
Speaker 40 These are peaceful people who just want to provide for their families, and they don't like Boko Haram. They don't like what these radicals are doing.
Speaker 40 And what happens in northern Nigeria, like so many other places, when you're talking about Gaza and in other places around the world, these radicals
Speaker 40 are experts at embedding themselves in communities of innocent people. And if you go in with airstrikes and boots on the ground, you're going to have massive collateral damage.
Speaker 40 And not only that, but you're going to drive some of those youth in those innocent communities further and you're going to entrench them into the radical ideology of Boko Haram and Iswa.
Speaker 40
So I think that it's not just one approach. It's not just all guns blazing.
It's not just all airstrikes.
Speaker 40 There needs to be a combination of that, but there also needs to be a combination of settling some of these socioeconomic issues that are driving a lot of this violence.
Speaker 40 The Fulani Muslims in northern Nigeria a lot of times will attack Christian villages just simply because they're running out of grazing ground for their cattle.
Speaker 40 Fulani Muslims are cow herders and Christians in northern Nigeria are predominantly farmers. Well, when a cow wanders onto those farm
Speaker 40 those farm fields and eats a farmer's crop, you get the conflict that happens a lot of times in northern Nigeria. So it's very complex,
Speaker 40 but I do applaud the president for what he's said and what he's doing and taking a stand for those Christians in northern Nigeria because so many other presidents have not.
Speaker 1 The conversation continues after this. Brad Brandon across Nigeria talking about what's happening, the genocide there and the president's response to it, but also what you can do.
Speaker 1 And the surprising part here is it won't cost you anything. It might even be the most important coming up next to fill you in after that, right on the glenback program

Speaker 1 Brad Browning with us across Nigeria.org. Recently, a piece in Town Hall, townhall.com, where you can go look that up and
Speaker 1 check out what he's had to say about some of these latest issues
Speaker 1 and really dig into the conversation, the topic. Now, Brad, you and I have talked about what people can do, and obviously your organization accepts donations and things like that, and
Speaker 1 we don't want to slight that at all because it's a big part of what you're doing.
Speaker 1 But there's something even more important you've mentioned with me when we talked about this before, and it won't even cost you anything, and
Speaker 1 that's to pray.
Speaker 40
Yeah. Yeah, that's what the church needs to be doing right now.
And as a pastor, I look to scripture to guide me.
Speaker 40 And in Hebrews 13, it talks about how Paul calls the church, when people are suffering for the name of Jesus Christ, he says that we should bind ourselves
Speaker 40 as bound with them. And what he means by that is binding ourselves so closely to those who are suffering for the cause of Christ that it's as though it's happening to us.
Speaker 40 So instead of looking at this as something like, oh, that's too bad that that's happening to those Christians over there, the church here in the United States needs to wake up and say, this is happening to our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Speaker 40
If they're in pain, I'm in pain. If they're going through this, I'm going through this.
And that leads to the point that you just made is the church here in the U.S. needs to be
Speaker 40 on our knees in a concerted effort to be praying and lifting up these Christians in northern Nigeria.
Speaker 40 And not just pray for them like in a polite way, like we often say in church, oh, I'll pray for you.
Speaker 40 But I mean, a systematic effort here in the United States by the church to pray for these Christians who are suffering, getting on our knees as faith communities, as churches, as Bible studies, as prayer groups, and lifting up these people because they are suffering right now.
Speaker 40 And most of the schools in northern Nigeria have been shut down. So children can't even leave their home to go to school.
Speaker 40 Our schools in northern Nigeria have been shut down because of the recent kidnappings that have happened just in the last week and a half.
Speaker 40 So this is a time when we need to be fighting this battle through the most powerful weapon that we have, and that weapon is praying for those Christians who are suffering genocide in northern Nigeria.
Speaker 1
I know you've got a big event coming up at the Museum of the Bible. If people want to keep in touch with you, find out.
Maybe, in fact, you're going to be in the area.
Speaker 1 I'd love to go check out, Brad, or dig into Across Nigeria. Best way to do that, across Nigeria.org, Brad?
Speaker 40
Yeah, that's right. Go to our website, acrossnigeria.org.
They can learn all about the upcoming events that we have, and they can learn how to pray for us by signing up for our email updates.

Speaker 1 I just feel like it's a lot easier just to order stuff and pick it up kind of thing. That's sort of

Speaker 1
I've got a couple of videos I got to play for you. Judge Janina just rips on the new one.
And listen, gone nuclear in ways that I guess we got to celebrate these days, right?
Speaker 1 But also, it's already started. You knew it was a matter of time.
Speaker 1 Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the Democrat radical from Florida, found the way somehow to unconnect to blame Trump for the latest, this horrific attack from the terrorist in D.C. on the National Guard.
Speaker 67 We need to make sure that we have tight and appropriate and proper vetting. If there were gaps that admitted this person, they would have failed over multiple levels of gaps.
Speaker 67 And this individual was trusted enough to participate in assisting our military during the war in Afghanistan. So
Speaker 67 I just think, you know, the president looks everywhere except inward to blame his own policies.
Speaker 67 We need to make sure that we don't have our military deployed in our cities. We're
Speaker 67
handling law enforcement responsibilities. And we need to make sure that we address gun violence.
We certainly need to make sure we always have the proper and appropriate and tight vetting
Speaker 67 processes, and those should be reviewed.
Speaker 1 Wait, did you hear that? Not only did she blame Trump,
Speaker 1 but she also blamed guns.
Speaker 1
In the same breath. She was able to get both of those out.
Yes, it's Trump's fault. Oh, and we got to blame guns at the same time.
Speaker 1 These people,
Speaker 1 it's shameful. They'll never admit it, but it's just absolutely shameful.
Speaker 1 You're talking about victim shaming.
Speaker 1 They also
Speaker 1 talk about victim shaming quite a bit, but this is it.
Speaker 1 So you're telling me it's the policies that put these individuals in other words, if they never would have been in Washington, D.C.,
Speaker 1
it's Trump's fault. These people would be alive today.
One of them would be alive today.
Speaker 67 But
Speaker 67 it's never the president's fault or his policies when it comes to his reaction, and it's pretty disgusting.
Speaker 1 And what's even more disgusting is that these people will do everything in their power to crowbar and make it his fault
Speaker 1
when it comes to the most, even the most terrific. And like I said, it starts slow.
They're going to get the signal any minute now that they're going to push, push, push, push.
Speaker 1 And eventually the dam will break and they'll all be pointing the finger at them.
Speaker 1
They'll all be doing it. You've already started to see bits and pieces of it.
We saw it happen early. This is, I think this just happened early this morning.
Anyway, this was this morning.
Speaker 1 Judge Janine attorney, U.S. Attorney Janine Pirot,
Speaker 1 saying now the Afghan shooter, obviously, because of the death of Sarah Bruckman, is going to be
Speaker 1 charged with first-degree murder.
Speaker 1 Are we going to see an escalation in charges?
Speaker 37 Oh, there's no question. First of all, our hearts go out and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of a beautiful 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom who answered the call to serve her nation.
Speaker 37 And she volunteered and she ended up being shot ambush style on the cold streets of Washington, D.C.
Speaker 37 by an individual who will now be charged with murder in the first degree.
Speaker 37 There are certainly many more charges to come, but we are upgrading the initial charges of assault to murder in the first degree.
Speaker 37 And we are hoping that the more information we can get and the more investigation that is going on 24-7 now, around the clock in Washington, the more we will find out about what actually happened in terms of this individual even being in this country and being in a position to ambush and shoot down an innocent young woman who was doing her duty to the people of this country.
Speaker 1 It's unthinkable when you really wrap your head around it.
Speaker 1
It really is unthinkable. So here it is.
This is when she went nuclear, by the way. There's a couple of really good moments.
By the way, I'm going to put this clip too up. I'll post it on social.
Speaker 1
I'm everywhere at Mr. Justin Barkley.
and I'll post it on my website too when I put my stack up later today, justinbarkley.com.
Speaker 37
Let me say one more thing, and it's not about this case. It's about vetting in general.
The nonsense that the left gave us with this Operation Welcome Allies. Look, there was no vetting.
Speaker 37 If you think there was vetting, I have a bridge to sell you.
Speaker 37 If you saw the chaos that was going on at that airport in Kabul, in Afghanistan, it was typical of what was going on in the Biden administration. And
Speaker 37
the Pentagon, I believe it was Kirby and people in the Biden administration said the Afghan withdrawal that we all know was disastrous was a success. And that's a quote.
They called that a success.
Speaker 37
That chaos is not a success. That is a nightmare.
And 13 American servicemen and women were killed at that airport because the Biden administration couldn't get their
Speaker 37 facts together and couldn't make a decision regarding the rules of engagement to take down a known suicide bomber.
Speaker 1 You know, I know,
Speaker 1 I know people, in fact, I know
Speaker 1 a young man who was there
Speaker 1 when all of that happened. And I remember watching that at the time.
Speaker 1 I know you
Speaker 1 the same thing.
Speaker 1 Anybody with
Speaker 1 half a brain could see how disastrous that whole thing was playing out and how it was going to play out.
Speaker 1 And it was in real time.
Speaker 1 It was just horrifying in real time to see what they were doing behind the scenes.
Speaker 1 Just absolute inept
Speaker 1 fact these you wonder you would auto pin was like running the whole show right behind the scenes. Autopin
Speaker 1
Autopin was the presidency. You wonder if anybody was even making any of these calls.
I mean, that's the kind of thing you have to think about.
Speaker 1 When you use truth, logic, and common sense, you come to these conclusions, and it really makes you wonder.
Speaker 1 Unless you pull the curtain back and you realize the playbook is
Speaker 1 a lot more nefarious than
Speaker 1 we're led to believe.
Speaker 1 In fact, you know, when these people talking about the system,
Speaker 1 The
Speaker 1 system's broken, the system's not working. No, the system's working exactly how they've designed it to.
Speaker 1 You dig in and you look at what Glenn's been talking about for years and Clower and Pivot and this whole idea of trying to collapse things so that they can replace what was standing with what they have dreamt of
Speaker 1 for decades.
Speaker 1
So in the meantime, they don't care. Chaos is welcome.
Crisis is welcome. They want you afraid.
They want you cowering in fear. They want innocent people
Speaker 1 dying, unfortunately, because it gets them closer to being able to get to where they really want to go, which is their
Speaker 1 fundamental transformation, right?
Speaker 1 Of the whole thing.
Speaker 1
They've got all the answers. Just ask them.
They'll tell you.
Speaker 1 Don't forget it hasn't worked anywhere they've tried it.
Speaker 1 It hasn't worked anywhere they've tried it in the past. And yet here they are
Speaker 1 pushing it on us
Speaker 1 yet again hey it's the same reason why mamdani was so successful in new york city in fact let's talk about that let me come back i i want to shine some light on on what what's going on in new york city and why i you know i know it looks radical to you and me but
Speaker 1 i think to most of those folks in new york it looks like a breach of breath of fresh air and while they're why they're welcome welcoming all of that in
Speaker 1 This is the inconvenient, by the way, this is the tough talk, right? The inconvenient truth that you may not get anywhere else. We'll do that after this.
Speaker 1 In the meantime, jump into conversation: 888-727-BEC, 888-727-BECK. Justin Barkley, in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program.
Speaker 1 Never put your future in another man's saddlebag or your lunch.
Speaker 26 You never know where that thing's been.
Speaker 1 That sticks. More Glenn Beck in a JIF.
Speaker 58 Let me talk to you about Legacy Box.

Speaker 18 For 65% off, legacybox.com slash records.
Speaker 1 The vetting, again, part of the conversation about what's happening with these folks let in the Biden administration from from Afghanistan, Judge Janine, you know, U.S.
Speaker 37
Attorney Janine, about vetting in general. The nonsense that the left gave us with this Operation Welcome Allies.
Look, there was no vetting.
Speaker 37 If you think there was vetting, I have a bridge to sell you.
Speaker 1 I love that.
Speaker 1
I love that. We have a flashback.
Can you please permit me?
Speaker 1 Jen Saki, can I circle back?
Speaker 1 Can I circle back to Jen Saki?
Speaker 1
2021. here she is, circle back.
This is what she said. The White House spokes
Speaker 1 at the time about those folks coming in from Afghanistan.
Speaker 68 We've talked about this a little bit other time as well, but there are, of course, concerns among lawmakers, experts who've tracked this, who are saying previous
Speaker 68 arrivals of large numbers of refugees from different parts of the world, inevitably there may be a handful, small handful, who are eventually deemed a security risk of some kind.
Speaker 68 What reassurances can you make about the screening process and the attempts to make sure that somebody like that doesn't make his or her way here?
Speaker 69 I can absolutely assure you that no one is coming into the United States of America who has not been through a thorough screening and background check process.
Speaker 1 And
Speaker 69 there are many individuals, as you noted, who have not been through that process. And they have gone to lily pad countries as that process has been completed.
Speaker 1 Well, that's what we were told.
Speaker 1 And here we have, as
Speaker 1 Piero points out, you know, we've got one dead guardsman and another
Speaker 1 in very serious critical condition as we continue to pray.
Speaker 1 And that's in New York and all of this insanity of Mom Dami is we were just talking about
Speaker 1 socialism and how it's failed everywhere. And so many people, you know,
Speaker 1 just
Speaker 1 young people don't get it because they never heard this. We talked about this in the first hour.
Speaker 1 And if you get a chance to go back on the podcast and listen todaynback.com, you'll be able to you'll be able to hear this but uh guest and arthur jim simpson talked about that in his book and of course in in in that that that that cloud and piven strategy and this this marxist takeover what they've been trying to do for decades now is collapse the system so this is one of the ways you do it you let all these people in and you just don't care what happens It's burn it all down.
Speaker 1 You don't care either way.
Speaker 1 And so that's how bad it gets. And we were just talking about this earlier, but you know, the bread in the circuses keep people distracted.
Speaker 1 But even more so, it's even more effective than bread and circuses, is the other side is when kids are so saddled with debt, they were made to go to school, get indoctrinated with this
Speaker 1 just garbage being pumped into their veins. 24-7, they come out brainwashed and with a mountain of debt that they'll never pay off.
Speaker 1 Oh, and and by the way, when you get out, you'll never be able to get a job
Speaker 1
in critical underwater basket weaving or whatever it is that you've taken. You'll never be able to get a job with any of those degrees.
They're not written the paper they're printed on.
Speaker 1 On top of that, cost of everything has gone through the roof. And by the way, this is going to be a big point for the midterms.
Speaker 1 And one of the things that Republicans, folks on the right, Trump, the administration, they need to do is, again, point out this is the Biden administration issue they created.
Speaker 1 You know, it even goes further back than that.
Speaker 1 Trump's working to bring those prices down.
Speaker 1
Patience? Yes, but it's going to be hard. And this is why socialism sells.
These people never heard about it.
Speaker 1 These kids that went to school, you think they heard about socialism with their being taught about America and America's evil? No.
Speaker 1 They never got the truth about it.
Speaker 1
They never got the truth about communism. They never got the truth about what Maldani says he wants to do.
And all of this stuff sounds great. It really is a shiny new object.
Speaker 1
At the end of the day, it's evil because it's killed more people than you can even put a finger on. The actual number.
It's just incredible. Millions upon millions upon millions.
It's never worked.
Speaker 1
Well, that's because it's just never been done right. You know, see, that's the problem.
That's what they'll tell you. They'll sit in there, theorize, and tell you all day long.
Speaker 1 That's the real problem. No, no, no.
Speaker 1 So, no wonder these kids are lapping it up.
Speaker 1 I don't blame them for that, but we ought to get good at making sure we reach them and messaging that directly talks to them.
Speaker 1 That's why they came out and voted en masse for President Trump this last election.
Speaker 1 They thought he would help, and he can.
Speaker 1 We got to make sure we keep that message in front.
Speaker 1 This is Glenn Beck.
Speaker 1
Down the road where shadows hide, fill the dark on every side. Sandy ground when times get tight.
Gotta face the dark and embrace the fire.
Speaker 1 The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment this is
Speaker 1 the glenn beck program
Speaker 1 yeah he uh
Speaker 1 was a marine fighter pilot
Speaker 1 this one bad dude
Speaker 1 coming up what ed rush is doing now might even be more interesting in fact uh we're gonna lean on him today for a little wisdom, a little understanding, and a little bit of the way forward on how to see things that, uh, and hear them
Speaker 1 that you just won't hear anywhere else and get some guidance. In the days where everything's like AI and you don't know what to believe with the news, I've seen a lot of this fake news.
Speaker 1 Not just fake news, but like
Speaker 1
obviously fake news. It's posted all over the internet these days.
You don't want to get deceived. We'll tell you how you can make sure
Speaker 1 that you don't. And speaking of AI,
Speaker 1
Thanksgiving ruined for a lot of folks. We'll get to this story a little bit later on in the hour.
It's not because of politics and people arguing at the table. No, it was because of AI recipes.
Speaker 1 We'll talk about that and more on the way. Justin Barkley, in for Glenn today on the Glenn Bag Program.
Speaker 56 The older I get, the more I think about trust.
Speaker 43 I think about the people in my life who have my trust and earned my trust, and the trust that I have placed in some people who I later learned abused that trust.
Speaker 53 I know we're alike in that way.
Speaker 43 We don't trust a lot of people anymore.
Speaker 56 It's like we're all Ronald Reagan trust, but always verify to make sure we're not making a mistake.
Speaker 43 I find it a little exhausting, quite honestly, and that's why I started RealEstateAgents I Trust.com.
Speaker 46 I didn't have good experiences with buying and selling my homes.
Speaker 53 So we built Real Estate Agents I Trust to introduce you to one of the thousands of agents all over the country that we work with that we have verified that they will help you have the most successful and good real estate transaction possible.
Speaker 43 Our network agents share our sensibilities, have great track records, are good and decent people, and I trust them to help you with your real estate needs.
Speaker 15 So, whether you're moving across town or across the country, visit realestateagentsitrust.com.
Speaker 43 The name says it all: realestate agentsitrust.com.
Speaker 1 So, how do you see through all the
Speaker 1 fog of war? I mean, we really are at war, whether we realize it or not, whether you're talking in the natural or something a little more super, that's really what we're up against. And
Speaker 1 the noise that we're constantly being bombarded with on a daily basis, I thought it might be important to see if we get some clarity and cut through some of that.
Speaker 1
with a man who knows a thing or two about it. He's a Marine Corps F-18 fighter pilot.
And what he's doing now is actually maybe even more exciting.
Speaker 1 We'll have to ask him whether he feels that way or not, but I can tell you that I think he probably does.
Speaker 1 He's still on mission in this time as an author, speaker, and written several books and the author of one that I really enjoyed called God Talks. Now let's talk to the guy that talks to God.
Speaker 1 Ed, appreciate you taking the time to be here with us today. Ed Rush.
Speaker 40
Justin, man, it's awesome to be on the show. Hey, by the way, happy Thanksgiving.
We have a lot to be thankful for.
Speaker 40 As you said, you know, we're, I think, in a world at war, but it is nice just to sit back every once in a while and just say thanks to the God who created everything and smile around that table with the family.
Speaker 40 So I hope you're having a good weekend.
Speaker 1
Absolutely. And I think, as you mentioned, that's so important.
I mean, look, we've got to face what we're up against, but at the same time,
Speaker 1 to give thanks, I think, is even more necessary, especially in times like this.
Speaker 1 So, yeah, let's talk about how did you, you've written this book called God Talks. And
Speaker 1 my thought process for talking to you today is, first of all, I think it's an interesting subject, nevertheless. But like,
Speaker 1 how do we, and times, especially when I get questions from people that I talk to all the time, listen or stream me online or whatever they do, and they're always asking, how do we know what's real and how do we know what's not?
Speaker 1
In fact, today I got that question again from Terry, who said, look, can you talk about some of this AI fake news stuff? It's all over. It's everywhere.
How do we know what's real? How do we know?
Speaker 1 And I thought, you know, as we go into this time, and Glenn's talked about this, but the AI, AI, and we might already be there.
Speaker 1 We're at a time where you may not be able to tell what's real and what isn't. And if we're not there yet, we're getting very close.
Speaker 1 And so I kind of lean on and have leaned on that thought that it's going to be even more important to hear from a higher power, to hear from the Lord, to have,
Speaker 1 you know, to have that discernment, that wisdom to guide you in these times.
Speaker 40 Yeah, I mean, fundamentally, I think the human question, like the human question, probably other than why are we here, is what's true.
Speaker 40 You know, I mean, we've like, if you go back in history, it has been fundamentally every single war that started, started over a battle of what's true and what's false.
Speaker 40
And, you know, like, dude, I'm a fighter pilot, so I don't do floaty, fluffy, woo-eye wooy. I'm interested in like what really works when you are fighting gravity for a living.
You know,
Speaker 40 the fundamentals like physics, Bernoulli's law. When the stick goes forward, the houses get bigger.
Speaker 40 When the stick goes backwards, the houses get smaller, kind of of basic fundamentals are really important to me. And so,
Speaker 40 yeah, when I started to go after this question as to what is really true, and by the way, what you said about AI is really true.
Speaker 40
Like, we live in the most noisy, most confusing, most difficult-to-discern truth world. And we have access to more information.
That paradox completely befuddles me, by the way.
Speaker 40 And so, yeah, I started to try to figure out like the answer to that. And to be perfectly open,
Speaker 40 like I didn't believe in any of this stuff. Like, the things that I teach nowadays, and just, you know, big picture, I teach real people how to have a conversation with the real God.
Speaker 40 It doesn't matter your religious background.
Speaker 40
It doesn't matter your, you know, family upbringing. It doesn't matter anything.
Like, literally, just start to end how to have a very simple conversation with God.
Speaker 40 And it's important for you to know, I didn't believe in any of this stuff. Like, even 15 years ago, when I sort of stumbled into
Speaker 40 this process, but fundamentally, the most important thing that you can do, I think, is connect with the God who created you, hand-crafted you in his image.
Speaker 40 That's an amazing three words in his image, and just be able to just understand what he thinks about you, what he thinks about the world. And it really clears through quite a bit.
Speaker 40 And like I said, I have no patience for fluffy, fluffy, woo-eye, woo-eye, come by, sort of sit around the campfire and make up pious platitudes. I'm interested in things that actually work.
Speaker 1 So, let me ask you, I mean, obviously, this process
Speaker 1 is pretty simple,
Speaker 1 and you walk people through it in the book, but
Speaker 1 if you wanted to give somebody maybe a thumbnail sketch or a place to start, for me anyway, like I'll just say that I know that the biggest piece for me is, first of all, just, and it doesn't have to be a long thing or just, but just turning off the noise.
Speaker 1
And I know that, you know, look, we're on the radio. We want you to listen to this show.
We want you to listen to this radio station. But every now and and then, you know, even I do it.
Speaker 1 It got to take some time to turn it off, right?
Speaker 40
So, yeah, I mean, I think what Justin's saying is listen to the whole show, then turn it off and then do the process. So you wouldn't want to miss this part, at least.
So, no, it's amazing.
Speaker 40
So, you know, like I live here in San Diego. I'm probably about 14 miles from downtown San Diego.
And if I want to get downtown, I jump in my car, head down.
Speaker 40
It's going to take me probably about 15, 16 minutes, and I'm downtown. Well, 200 years ago, if I was to go from here to there, it'd be a walk.
I do a lot of walking.
Speaker 40 I can tell you that's about an hour and a half at least.
Speaker 40 Or sorry, no,
Speaker 40 I'm doing the math wrong. That's about a four or five hour walk, right?
Speaker 40 Well, during that time, back in the old days, people used to literally just get into this state where they were just sort of in this zone.
Speaker 40 Now, scientists have actually identified that state or that zone. There's five different brainwave frequencies that science will tell you about.
Speaker 40 It's not my job to go go through each and every single one of them, but I'll go in order.
Speaker 40 You basically go
Speaker 40 all the way from the top, theta,
Speaker 40 beta, alpha, delta, gamma. And there is this zone
Speaker 40 just beside asleep and just above awake
Speaker 40 called theta, where it's like this, it's the zone. It's like if you are just sitting there with a big smile on your face, you're perfectly calm, your thoughts are just moving very freely.
Speaker 40 That's the zone. And I will tell you that most Americans, probably most people in the world today, because of our connectivity, move quickly through that zone.
Speaker 40 They're either in some sort of high state of information processing or they're asleep. And that's really where people operate.
Speaker 40 But yeah, if you can find yourself into this really still, small space, you're able to hear a lot better his still small voice.
Speaker 40
And it's actually very simple. Step number one, just like you described, is to turn off the noise.
Just turn it off. I don't know many people who can go even for five or ten minutes with nothing.
Speaker 40 Like I'm talking about turn the radio off after the show, turn off your TV, turn off the noise, turn off the conversation, find yourself into a place where you can just be quiet and just breathe for a little bit.
Speaker 40 You actually find yourself into this new zone.
Speaker 40 And I will just tell you, having taught tens of thousands, at this point, Justin, it's probably well over 100,000 people how to tune into God's voice just to hear him talk to you.
Speaker 40 That when you can control your mind and find yourself into this still small spot to hear a still small voice, it actually accentuates your ability to do that.
Speaker 40 The people that I know that really have difficulty, and like I said, I've trained a lot of people.
Speaker 40 Occasionally, I have someone who's like, Oh man, I'm like really struggling with this or I'm having a hard time. It's because they're not able to slow themselves down.
Speaker 40 And it's really important, especially in a time like this, dude.
Speaker 40 We're talking on the middle of the biggest shopping day of the year, but we're also talking in the middle of what traditionally for people is a four-day holiday.
Speaker 40 And I find, I don't know about you, but I find like after a holiday or a vacation, I need like a vacation or a holiday. Like it is busier for me.
Speaker 40
These four days, I got like, dude, we're talking this morning. I got to go get a big Christmas tree.
I'm getting a 13-foot Christmas tree this year.
Speaker 40
Dude, the whole family's coming to this house of doing like full Clark Griswold. I got the lights around the house.
And like, I got four days off, man. You would think this would be a place for peace.
Speaker 40
It's actually a place for just a lot of busy. And so even five or 10 minutes just to get away.
Just to breathe a little bit, take your brain waves.
Speaker 40 I can choose scientifically every single step along the way, take your your brain waves down into a place where you can hear from God and it'll change your life.
Speaker 1 So how do we apply this,
Speaker 1 especially when it comes to
Speaker 1 seeing through all the noise? Because discernment, as I said, it'd be more important through the days ahead as you're seeing things that you don't know.
Speaker 1 Is that real or was that fake or was that AI or is somebody lying to me about something? I'm being pulled in every direction every day.
Speaker 1
I think we all are by people who want us to believe whatever narrative it is. And these are, these are questions we want to break down.
Ed Rush is with us right now.
Speaker 1 We're going to take a quick break, just a minute here, but we'll be back with those answers and maybe the answers to what you're really looking for right after this.
Speaker 1 Justin Barkley in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program.
Speaker 11 There's always somebody on my list that is impossible to shop for.
Speaker 9 Tanya is a given.
Speaker 23 What do you get for your wife that really is perfect and special in every way?

Barkley in for Beck today on the Glenbeck program and a Beck Friday. A good friend Ed Rush is here.
He's an author and a speaker, and he's written this book, God Talks. But
Speaker 1 I think he's actually got a new one that you may want to tell us about here in a second, Ed. But listen to this article I just pulled up, and
Speaker 1 this will maybe take us in another direction here in a minute as well. But physicists propose a radical new theory of consciousness, and it could finally explain what happens when you die.
Speaker 1 Now, this is science trying to explain what we've known spiritually for a long time, but it's interesting because it says that we're all sort of connected in some way.
Speaker 1 And it's got this theory of like just talking about like where some of these things come from when you have maybe a near-death experience or maybe even when you're able to get answers in some ways when you're quiet, right?
Speaker 1 That I think spiritually or religiously, we would just use different ways to explain that. But isn't that interesting?
Speaker 1 You talked about science that are kind of starting to prove these things that the Bible's talked about for years.
Speaker 40 Yeah, it's awesome.
Speaker 40 So I'd love, I love science, by the way, and I love sort of talking about the brain, especially, and just like how God really, truly, fearfully and wonderfully we were made knit together in our mother's womb.
Speaker 40 And I love the fact that like a lot of times people of faith traditions get a little weird about when it comes to science. I think it's amazing.
Speaker 40 Every scientific discovery for the last, you know, 2,000 years has done nothing but show and prove everything that we're teaching is totally right. Like I'll give you an example.
Speaker 40 We're talking about the topic of hearing from God, right?
Speaker 40 So, when I teach people how to have a conversation with God, I usually actually start with the thing that I just talked about, which is just how to slow yourself down, how to connect yourself back to his voice.
Speaker 40 But the second thing I teach right after that is asking the right questions. Now, you may wonder, like, hey, wait a second,
Speaker 40 why is that so important? Like, we're talking to God,
Speaker 40 why are the questions so important? But questions actually are important, not because of God, but actually because of your neurology.
Speaker 40 I could go through literally the way your brain was created, but there's two parts of your brain that are significant when it comes to receiving input. The first one is called your neocortex.
Speaker 40 This is layer that goes over the top of your brain that turns into this massive 150,000 vertical supercomputers kind of all stacked on one another.
Speaker 40 And then you've got this other area in your thalamus that essentially operates as a filter.
Speaker 40 Like if you walk through the airport, I'm heading out on the road again this week to do a little speaking and like go to a couple events I'm gonna walk through the airport here in San Diego and I'll probably walk by eight or nine or ten gates during that time if I see someone that I recognize I'll be like oh what's up Justin how you doing like I'll see you two gates away now what that means is that your brain has literally been filtering every single gate all 150 people sitting at every single gate your brain's like don't know her don't know her don't know her don't know him don't know him don't know and then finally it catches someone you know it would be maddening, by the way, if all of that information made it past your brain filter system, like you would never even be able to get to sleep.
Speaker 40 And so your brain has this amazing ability to filter things out.
Speaker 40 And if you're the kind of person who hasn't been having a daily sort of as-you-go conversation with God, it's really likely that all of his communication to you is being filtered out literally, neurologically.
Speaker 40 I'm talking about a spiritual concept using physical real principles.
Speaker 40 And so when I I teach people to ask good questions, I'm asking them to do that so that they'll create filters in their brain to receive what signals, literally, what verbal, what visual,
Speaker 40 what olfactory symbols, whatever it is that God's sending, that they create filters in their brain to actually receive that.
Speaker 40 And so, like, literally, one of the very first questions I'll teach people, you've been through this exercise, is like, one of the first questions I'll have them ask is, hey, God, what lies do I believe about me?
Speaker 40 And then I'll have them follow it up with, what's true about me. Of course, I break the whole process down in the book, but the
Speaker 40 brilliant genius, and I'm not giving myself credit, just, you know, I wrote this three years before I discovered it scientifically. Like, literally, I found this out afterwards.
Speaker 40 But the genius behind the way the questions are presented in the book is it creates a filter system in your brain where you can catch what God's...
Speaker 40
what God's saying to you. And I kid you not, dude, I've had 84-year-old, like, crusty Southern Baptists who are like, look, God doesn't speak.
I've never heard his voice. I'm 84 years old.
Speaker 40 I've been going to church who after 20 minutes of a little session are weeping, like literally crying, going, well, man, if God can teach this 84-year-old Southern Baptist to hear from him, he can teach anyone, you know?
Speaker 40 And like I said, it's sometimes just a matter of the filters. But kind of back to your point, every time I see some new scientific discovery, I realize it validates.
Speaker 40
the claims that we're making, which is you were created by a loving God. You were created in his image.
And he really wants to have a conversation with you.
Speaker 40 Like he designed you for that kind of interface. And I say like, now's the time to get it started.
Speaker 1 You know, one of the things, Ed Rush with us right now, he's the author of God Talks, but one of the things
Speaker 1 that Glenn has said before, and in the days ahead with AI and everything else, where we're headed is there's going to be a time, he's, I've heard him say this, is you will depend on the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 1 You'll have to hear from the Spirit to tell you at some point, either stop, don't go that way, turn back around.
Speaker 1 That's how close and how connected that we'll need to be and we'll depend on it for survival at times.
Speaker 1 How do people take this and apply it into instances like that?
Speaker 40
Dude, it's just a brilliant point, by the way. And I completely agree with you.
And of course, agree with what Glenn said about that.
Speaker 40 We live in a world where, first of all, it's difficult to find out if something's true or false. But even if it's true, the next question is, is it important?
Speaker 40 Like you could spend an entire day just filtering through news stories, like one after the other after the other.
Speaker 40 And let's say theoretically, I mean, I don't even know what the percentage is, depending on the outlet probably, but let's say, I don't know, half of what you read is true.
Speaker 40 Like, like,
Speaker 40 I've been reading a lot of articles this week about this comet, like three eye Atlas, right?
Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 40 This comet that could be a spaceship, that could be alien technology. I mean, like, you know, I'm listening to Neil deGrasse Tyson and Brian Cox.
Speaker 40 And I'm like, look, like, a lot of what I'm seeing is probably true the way that it came in, where it came from, like, I don't know.
Speaker 40 But the next question is, like, is it important? You know?
Speaker 40 And, and I think that's, that's like an even more important question because you could give your heart and mind and soul to things that are true. You know, you could spend, I had a guy come up to me.
Speaker 40 I love him.
Speaker 40 Don't get me wrong or anything.
Speaker 40 And he literally, this guy, I mean, he spent, like in an event that I was speaking at, he spent like five, seven minutes trying to talk to me about his flat earth theory.
Speaker 40
Okay, look, if that's you, I love you. I think you're amazing.
I just told him, I said, look,
Speaker 40 why don't you give your life to something that has like a real meaning to it?
Speaker 40 Like, if you're right about this flat earth situation, then like at the end of the days, you know, you maybe get a high five walking into heaven.
Speaker 40
I don't know, you figured it out, like, yeah, you're right. Why don't you give your life to something that actually has real meaning? And that's what I mean about important.
Like, is it true?
Speaker 40 Is it false? Or is it important? And I think a conversation with God really dials you in on stuff like that. Like, I will just tell you, there is nothing, I'm a fighter pilot, right?
Speaker 40 There is nothing more important to me than accomplishing the mission. And when you are focused on what God created you to do, you're going to change the world.
Speaker 1 And let's dig into that.
Speaker 1
Let's dig into that mission. If you can hang with us for a second, Ed Rush, we'll be right back.
How to hear when you need it most

Speaker 1 AI is ruining everything.
Speaker 1 Some of the claims that people are making, in fact, may have even ruined Thanksgiving coming out the AI slop recipes that are ruining Thanksgiving.
Speaker 1 We'll walk if it's kind of similar to what's happening with news right now, fake news and AI news and AI-generated stuff. I went looking for
Speaker 1 yesterday, the Lions played the Packers and one of my wife's favorites, Cece Winance, did the, I think she's from Detroit, actually did the national anthem to open up the
Speaker 1
game. And we weren't home, so we missed it.
And I went looking for it, and I found on YouTube everywhere all this like fake,
Speaker 1
none of it was real. It was like reports that they had, some AI had, somebody made up about the thing, and I couldn't find it.
Eventually eventually found the clip. But it's like that everywhere.
Speaker 1 There's so much of that flooding all of us and a lot of times you come across things and I get people that always ask me, is this real? Is that real?
Speaker 1 And as we walk through this time, the discernment to know what's real, what isn't, what's fake, the AI involvement in it as well. That's part of what we're talking about today.
Speaker 1
With Ed Rush, he's a marine fighter pilot, retired now, now working on something even, maybe even more exciting with his book, God Talks. GodTalks.com, by the way.
Ed, welcome back in.
Speaker 1 We were just talking about some of these things and how to do it. And
Speaker 1 maybe like the application of in these moments, like the very specific times where we might need to hear on something very important. Should I make this move for work or my business or,
Speaker 1 you know, my job? Or what do I do when it comes to
Speaker 1 treatments on something that I'm going through or my family, illness, and things like that?
Speaker 1 I mean, there's all kinds of different things that you could imagine people would want to, maybe if you could ask those questions, get the real answers to,
Speaker 1 even those videos and news stories that we're watching.
Speaker 1 Uh-oh, did we lose him? Ed, you there?
Speaker 40
Sorry, man. I had that mute button pushed on my phone.
That's a that's a basic pilot error right there. So
Speaker 40 yeah, we used to we used to chalk that up to,
Speaker 40 well, I won't make fun of pilots too much, but our maintainers would occasionally occasionally make fun of us for pushing the wrong button and then blaming them for something that wasn't working properly um so yeah no i was saying when i
Speaker 40 literally i was talking into my muted phone about how we live in this very complicated technological world and the entire time i was talking about this very complicated technological world the button the mute button was on how ironic so
Speaker 40 uh yeah no we live in this world that's just crazy right and it's not getting any better by the way i love ai i think ai is an amazing tool like the internet like social media like everything it can be used for good it can be used for ill uh but you know if you're using it well and smartly, I think that you can.
Speaker 40 But yeah, I think, you know, having a conversation with your creator, the one who made you in his image, about everything, not just the big things.
Speaker 40 You mentioned like career moves or big relationship things or health.
Speaker 40 I was reading this morning, I actually woke up quite early. I don't wake up all that early nowadays, even though I was in the Marines.
Speaker 40 I woke up quite early this morning and I was reading in the book of John and I came across this one statement.
Speaker 40 And by the way, whatever you believe and whatever your faith background, this will be meaningful for you.
Speaker 40 Jesus was right at the end of his life and he said, he said, I know who I am and I know where I came from and I know where I'm going. And I thought, man,
Speaker 40 if that isn't the epitome of one's life quest, you know, like if you knew, if you knew where you came from, where you are, and where you're going, it would answer every other question for you.
Speaker 40 Like every other question
Speaker 40 would just literally fill itself in the blanks. And fundamentally, what I'm trying to do with the world, and you know, Justin, you know, we know each other, like my goal is very simple.
Speaker 40 I would like to see 8 billion people around the world, that's the entire world, simply waking up in the morning with a 10-minute conversation with God. It would change everything.
Speaker 40 We have a lot of issues in our world, certainly a lot of issues in our country, lots of division. People are very angry at each other for lots of different things.
Speaker 40 And some of you at Thanksgiving dinner experienced that last night.
Speaker 40
And I will just tell you, if only we brought our initial questions to God, I think it would change everything. It would change everything for us.
Our politics would certainly change.
Speaker 40
Our health systems would change. Poverty would probably go away very, very, very quickly.
It would pretty much change everything. And you can ask him anything about anything.
Speaker 1 That's the thing.
Speaker 1 I don't know if there's anything too big or too small. You know, when you think about it, is there anything too big or too small to even bring to him?
Speaker 1 I think he probably wants us to bring it all to him.
Speaker 40 Yeah, it's been my experience, by the way, that the best thing that you can do is start,
Speaker 40 do it with all the small things. Like, for example,
Speaker 40 if you're right now facing a major health issue, I'm talking about like, should I go and do chemotherapy kind of level decision?
Speaker 40 If that's the first conversation that you're having with God, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news. It's going to be very challenging.
Speaker 40 Anytime something's really emotional, anytime something is like kind of a life or death kind of situation, but if you've been walking with him, if you've cultivated that sort of, you know, you've trained your brain to be able to have that conversation, it's going to be a lot easier when the chips are down to be able to really hear from them.
Speaker 40
That's why I say, like, look, I'm a Marine. So for me, training is everything.
Like, dude, the first time I landed in an airplane, I almost killed myself and my instructor. I'll never forget.
Speaker 40
We landed, hit the runway, started going to the right. He started telling me to steer with my feet, which is how you steer an airplane.
I was trying to steer with my hands, like I learned in a car.
Speaker 40 And my instructor was like, steer with your feet, steer with your feet, steer with your feet.
Speaker 40
And right before we hit the sign on the side of the runway, he took the controls, took off, and saved our life. And I was awful.
Like my first flight, I was really bad.
Speaker 40
And two and a half years later, I was landing on an aircraft carrier at night. Well, how is that possible? Very simple.
Training, practice, doing something over and over and over again.
Speaker 40 And so when I teach people how to have a simple conversation with the everlasting, ever-living God, it's as simple as just practicing it and doing it.
Speaker 40 And when you can do it with the small things, what you do is you learn to ask him questions about the big things, big career moves, big business swings, investor ideas, stuff like like that.
Speaker 40 You can actually get really good answers, but you just got to practice.
Speaker 1 Godtalks.com is the website in the book. You have a kids book out now, too? Did I say that? Yeah, yeah, yes.
Speaker 40
So we have God Talks for Kids. So I have four kids.
My kids go 20, 18, 17, and 7.
Speaker 40
And same wife and everything. Like, everybody asked me, is this like a second wife? Nope.
Same wife. We just, you know, 10-year gap, whatever.
So when my little girl, Jojo, was three,
Speaker 40
I was in the process of writing God Talks. And we started doing God Talks together.
I just recently did it.
Speaker 40 She's just turned seven, but when she was six, we really got into it and we were asking some really in-depth questions.
Speaker 40
And if you've ever watched a six-year-old have a conversation with God, it'll blow your mind, by the way. It'll change your life.
Because what happens is God started speaking to my daughter, right?
Speaker 40
And I'm sitting there taking notes for her. She's telling me what she's hearing.
And what's crazy is she'll hear from God, but she won't do this. Like a lot of adults, God will say, I love you.
Speaker 40
And the person will go, well, you can't love me because of all the bad things I've done. And oh, you don't understand who I am.
And I've just been such a horrible person.
Speaker 40
Like they actually start editing over. Six-year-olds don't do that.
There's no filter. There's no editing system.
There's no like weird conscience thing or something like that.
Speaker 40
They're just sitting there receiving. And the first time I watched my daughter have a conversation with God, I said, what did he say? He said, I love you.
And I said, that's awesome.
Speaker 40
I wrote that down. And then she said, and God said, you're silly.
He said to my daughter, you're silly. I thought, that's perfect because exactly who she was.
Speaker 40 And so together we worked on this book called God Talks for Kids. It's just like four fun chapters, about 50 pages long.
Speaker 40 You can just walk through, kind of ideal for kids about four to maybe 10, something like that. So, man, if you're looking for a great Christmas present,
Speaker 40
so God for kids is the way to go. You said he's working on another book.
I thought, man, I don't even know if I am, but now I realize which book you're talking about.
Speaker 1
Well, I'm glad to share it because I think it's never too early to talk to them about that. I do that with my kids.
I got two girls that are,
Speaker 1 one's about to turn five, the other one just turned three. And they are very,
Speaker 1 they don't have all the filters we have, you know, of thinking about what is and what isn't and what's possible and what's not.
Speaker 1 And I guess it really is kind of a great example of that childlike faith.
Speaker 40
It's like I once told a three-year-old to stop acting like a child. It was not one of my best moments.
I was a little frustrated that day.
Speaker 40 And I remember hearing myself say, you need to stop acting like a child and saying this to a three-year-old.
Speaker 40 And in that moment, I actually kind of told myself, maybe you should start acting like a child.
Speaker 40 You know, I mean, I'll take all the wisdom and all the understanding and knowledge and the years of experience that I've gotten under my adult, but sometimes
Speaker 40 you just need to take the filter off, you know, and you need to experience your creator as you were intended to experience him, as his daughter or as his son or as his friend.
Speaker 40 It will change your life when you understand that you have this creator that's actually really interested in having a simple conversation with you. It doesn't even need to be important stuff.
Speaker 40 It can be the most basic things like the parking spot that you're hoping to get in front of the mall today or, you know, or the deal that you want to get online. It can be very simple.
Speaker 1 Yeah, I will do that. I'm big with the parking spot.
Speaker 1 I absolutely love that. Hey,
Speaker 1
it's great. Go ahead.
And I just wanted to thank you for the taking the time to be here with us.
Speaker 1
Godtalks.com is the website, the book, and I'll follow it on X and Facebook and Instagram, all those places. Great follow and some good times.
I think you're going to really enjoy it.
Speaker 1 Thank you for taking the time to help walk us through this process.
Speaker 40
Justin, you're the man, dude. Thanks for joining us.
Thanks for having me on.
Speaker 1
You got it, brother. Thank you, and God bless.
Again, this is just some encouragement, especially in the times that we're in right now.
Speaker 1 You could feel, and I know I felt it over the last couple of days, especially, but you can really feel the darkness creeping in but i i think it's more important that we don't forget especially on thanksgiving weekend right
Speaker 1 uh what matters most and we give thanks for it um you know the bible says enter his uh gates with thanksgiving and praise dude just that all right back with more coming up by the way the ai recipes that are ruining thanksgiving and and much more and these billboards that are popping up everywhere that have something to do with the seditious six.
Speaker 1 I don't know if you've heard about these yet, but we'll shine a light on it. Coming up on the Glenbag Beck program, Justin Barkley, back after this.
Speaker 1 Freedom's worth a lot more than comfort.
Speaker 27 Here's what I found on the web about that private conversation you just had.
Speaker 26 What? Are you uncomfortable yet?
Speaker 1 Glenn Beck is back after this.
Speaker 22 So, next time you think you need lethal force, think of Burna.
Speaker 45 Start with Burna, B-Y-R-N-A.
Speaker 56 No background checks, legal in all 50 states, ships straight to your door, and Burna is approved by the pros, trusted by hundreds of law enforcement agencies.
Speaker 45 Visit Burna BYRNA.com and find the right launcher for your family.
Speaker 57 BYRNA.com.
Speaker 45 That's burna.com.
Speaker 1 Black Friday deals
Speaker 1 or not.
Speaker 1 This is an interesting story. Over a third of Black Friday sales may not be what you think they are.
Speaker 1
That's no surprise. I saw a video last year that kind of blew the spotlight the lid off of this.
And it's kind of be
Speaker 1
kind of an interesting conversation. But first, the one that is, the one that's major, the one that's big, beautiful, the best, literally the best sale of all time.
Well,
Speaker 1 sort of. Anyway, it's the official Glenbeck Black Friday sale, and it's live right now.
Speaker 1 Everything in the store is 25% off, and you can get the perfect Christmas gifts that stand for truth, logic, common sense, all of it. Go to Glenbeck.com and click shop.
Speaker 1
Grab the No King but Christ t-shirts, the hoodies, and more, all of it. You can save 25% off in the entire order.
So don't wait. Glennbeck.com.
Do it today.
Speaker 1 Justin in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program, JustinBarklay.com, where I'm trying to get through these next few stories in just a few minutes.
Speaker 1 And if I don't, I'll make sure I put them all up in my stack at justinbarklay.com so you can hear them.
Speaker 1 But first, or see them rather,
Speaker 1
this is staggering from CNBC. Over a third of Black Friday sales aren't really discounts.
Last year, we saw that video that came out, major retail store.
Speaker 1 There's somebody that pulled the sign back and revealed that under the Black Friday price was
Speaker 1
the same price. It was like the original, it was the original price.
I guess that's really not lying. If you
Speaker 1 technically think of it, it's still the Black Friday price, but it was the same price as the day before.
Speaker 1 And we've even heard of some of these big, like Amazon and whatnot, going through and jacking up prices at a certain point so that they can lower them so it looks like you're saving.
Speaker 1 I think some of this is what's caused some of us to sort of back down.
Speaker 1 I just saw a report on Fox's saying that they're going to have more traffic at the real stores this year than they've had in years as well. I don't know.
Speaker 1
A lot of the stuff I do get, I get online or I get delivered or whatever it might be. And then at the end of the day, I was just having this conversation yesterday.
I don't need another big screen TV.
Speaker 1 I don't really know what it is. I'd rather put my money behind something like some of the gear from the Glenn Beck store because that goes to something I support and a cause that I'm behind.
Speaker 1 I think people are thinking about things differently these days.
Speaker 1
I really do. I think we're looking at the world in just a completely different way.
All right, Putin's birds.
Speaker 1 I don't know if we're going to be able to get to this story in its entirety either, but Putin in the next couple of minutes, I'm going to try my best.
Speaker 1 Putin's got scientists that are working on making robo-birds, pigeons,
Speaker 1 controlled by brain implants.
Speaker 1 But first, the AI slop recipes that have ruined Thanksgiving food bloggers are being faked online because they're using AI
Speaker 1 to basically clone legit food bloggers
Speaker 1
and put put them online on sites. And one, this German blogger, they've not just cloned her, but they've cloned and made fake recipes.
And it's causing problems.
Speaker 1 It's made a bit of an impact on Thanksgiving dinner.
Speaker 1 AI generated content, including images and recipes, recipes rather, that often inaccurately and can be hard to distinguish from real recipes with bloggers reporting sharp declines in visibility and traffic and people go to make them and
Speaker 1 they don't turn out well.
Speaker 1 an unemployed son dressed as his dead mom to collect her pension
Speaker 1 in mrs doubt fire scam while hiding her body at home okay let's leave that one let's leave putin and the robo pigeons
Speaker 1 and i'll give you this the thanksgiving proclamation that came out yesterday
Speaker 1 in 1789
Speaker 1 President of the United States and his office writes, just years after America's triumph over tyranny in the Revolutionary War, President George Washington established the first National Day of Thanksgiving, declaring the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, and to be grateful for His benefits and humbly to implore His protection and favor.
Speaker 1 And all those years later, President Trump did it again yesterday. Read the full one, we'll put it up online.
Speaker 1 It's always an honor and a privilege to be here with you, Justin Barkley, and for Glenn, on the Glenn Beck program. Is Glenn Beck.
