Speaker 4 A federal judge has dismissed indictments into James Comey, former FBI director, and Letitia James, the New York Attorney General who led one of the witch hunts against President Trump.

Speaker 4 They got off the hook, even though we know that they committed crimes. We have the proof that they committed the crimes.

Speaker 4 However, there is a procedural technicality. We'll get into how it happened.

Speaker 4 On the bright side, Democrats continue to make egregious errors, running a candidate for Congress who openly says she hates her constituents.

Speaker 4 Then, Democrats calling President Trump a fascist after palling around with him in the Oval Office, and Democrat legislators doubling down on men and women's sports, the most toxic issue for them in 2024.

Speaker 4 Maybe it'll be a live issue heading into 26 and 28. Then, finally, as an added bonus, Treasury Secretary Scott Besant makes an NBC anchor worry that she is fat.

Speaker 4 I'm going to blow through this story because it's super annoying and I don't want to think about it much more.

Speaker 4 But, you know, the DOJ has been prosecuting or attempting to prosecute James Comey, former FBI director, and Letitia James.

Speaker 4 Letitia James, the former Attorney General of New York, who ran for office saying that she would prosecute Trump.

Speaker 4 And they were going after Comey because he perjured himself under oath before Congress. He said something that wasn't true, that we now know is not true.

Speaker 4 When you testify before Congress, you have to take an oath that you will tell the truth. In fact,

Speaker 4 I testified before before the Senate a few weeks ago.

Speaker 4 And afterward, I was talking with my old pal, Senator Cruz, and he said, you know, Michael, it took every fiber of my being, all of my restraint, not to just grill you under oath over everything you don't want to talk about

Speaker 4 because

Speaker 4 you are compelled to tell the truth when you testify before the House or the Senate. Comey lied.
That's a crime. And yet he's going to get off the hook.

Speaker 4 Letitia James, former Attorney General of New York,

Speaker 4 She committed fraud.

Speaker 4 She said

Speaker 4 that her primary residence was going to be at a house in Virginia, even though she was the attorney general of New York. She said that to get a better deal on her mortgage.
Same thing.

Speaker 4 She said that an apartment building that she owned in New York had fewer units than it did.

Speaker 4 And it was obvious that this was not just an accidental error because she listed the number of units as just one below what would have made the property commercial, given her a less favorable rate. So

Speaker 4 I know I have to say allegedly, allegedly, allegedly, but this is not just the rumor mill here. We have documents.
We have strong evidence.

Speaker 4 We have James Comey's congressional testimony that they committed these crimes. And they're going to get off the hook for now because of a technicality.

Speaker 4 The technicality, the judge in this case ruled, is that the prosecutor didn't have the right to bring these sorts of charges because the prosecutor was inappropriately appointed, because the DOJ didn't follow the right procedures and whatever.

Speaker 4 So it's very, very frustrating.

Speaker 4 Probably there will be some hand wringing over at the DOJ about this, as well there should be.

Speaker 4 However, the cases were dismissed without prejudice, which means that the Trump administration could bring, or the DOJ could bring these cases again. I think they should.

Speaker 4 They should just make sure that they dot their T's and cross their I's this time. They can try again.

Speaker 4 I think they should try again because what the American people want in all of these cases, whether we're talking about corruption in the federal bureaucracy, at the state level, prosecuting Trump, upending hundreds of years of American precedent, whether we're talking about the Epstein investigation, what people really want

Speaker 4 is accountability. It's not that they chiefly want transparency.
Governments have to do certain things in an opaque way. That's just how statecraft works.

Speaker 4 It's not that they chiefly want, I don't know,

Speaker 4 a prosecution for a certain crime or a prosecution of a certain person. What they want is to believe that there are consequences for elites for doing really bad things.

Speaker 4 So I think it's important to hold Comey and Letitia James to account. We'll see if that happens.
Now, that's some bad news for us, good news for Democrats.

Speaker 4 There is some good news for us, though, and some bad news for Democrats.

Speaker 4 There is right here in my own town, Nashville, there's a woman running for Congress in a special election because Mark Greene, member of Congress, is retiring.

Speaker 4 So this is going to be a special election, open seat. And one of the candidates is a woman named Afton Bain.

Speaker 4 Afton Bain, like a J.R.R. Tolkien character.

Speaker 4 She is a cartoonishly bad candidate for Congress.

Speaker 4 She,

Speaker 4 well,

Speaker 4 to put this in perspective.

Speaker 4 After there was this horrific shooting where a trans-identifying shooter targeted little Christian kids at the Covenant School, this woman comes out and does a Norm McDonald bit, except earnestly.

Speaker 4 She comes in and she says, you know,

Speaker 4 it was really, really troubling after that trans identifying person shot up the School of Christian Children because the transphobia just became so terrible.

Speaker 7 So for those of you who don't know, my partner has a trans son.

Speaker 7 And the month of April and the final week of March was

Speaker 7 incredibly upsetting for us.

Speaker 7 In the wake of the Covenant shooting and the disclosure that the Covenant shooter was trans,

Speaker 7 I was pulled into a chat with other trans organizers and activists across the state that were fearful of their lives.

Speaker 7 We identified threats from white ring groups that they would show up at these Trans Day of Visibility events and threatening our trans kids.

Speaker 7 And so I had a snapped moment where I decided we need more people talking about the protections for trans kids in our trans communities at the legislature every day.

Speaker 7 The first thing I would do is I want to reiterate my

Speaker 7 first bill, which is to curb the expanded state surveillance of our trans community.

Speaker 4 Won't somebody please think of the trannies? This woman says, yeah, remember when that psycho tranny shot up a school of sweet little Christian children?

Speaker 4 Yeah, that was a really hard month for me because of all the transphobia. Because my partner, whatever that means, I don't think she's talking about an accounting firm.
My partner has a trans kid.

Speaker 4 And yeah, it was so inconvenient when that tranny shot up all those sweet little Christian kids. It was so inconvenient because of the backlash against peaceful trannies.

Speaker 4 She then, you'd think, you'd think that there's no clip that could be worse than that, right, for this woman trying to run for Congress.

Speaker 4 In Tennessee, I know Nashville's liberal in a sea of conservatism. It's still Tennessee.
And that was a local tragedy

Speaker 4 that was seriously mishandled, actually, by authorities who have not even, they've concluded that it wasn't even ideologically motivated. The trans identification has nothing to do with this.

Speaker 4 You'd think that'd be the worst clip, right? No. No, this woman is caught on tape

Speaker 4 actually saying that she hates her city and her would-be constituents.

Speaker 8 I've been heavily involved with the Nashville mayoral race because I hate the city. I hate the bachelorettes.
I hate the pedal taverns. I hate country music.

Speaker 8 I hate all of the things that make Nashville barely an ex-city to the rest of the country. But I hate it.

Speaker 5 Yeah, I'm that girl.

Speaker 4 I hate it. I hate the city, hate everything about it, hate all of the character of the city.

Speaker 4 I hate anything that could define this city up to and including the people, the people who come here, the bachelorettes. Oh, I hate them.

Speaker 4 So, okay, you say, well, look, most of the district, I guess, technically is outside Nashville City proper.

Speaker 4 Maybe she likes that area does she like tennessee how about the state of tennessee do you at least like tennessee

Speaker 8 so i have a unconventional background uh i'm a social worker um but on the the public policy side and i was actually working in europe when trump was elected um and unlike a lot of my colleagues decided to move back to east tennessee where i grew up um after trump was elected

Speaker 2 Yeah, after Trump was elected. Oh my God.

Speaker 8 Yes, right, right.

Speaker 8 Not quite the common common route.

Speaker 8 And I remember taking my parents out to eat and telling them I want to get into Tennessee politics. And my mom started sobbing at the table.

Speaker 8 And she said, you're never supposed to move back to Godforsaken East Tennessee.

Speaker 4 Yeah, I was living in Europe. Isn't Europe so great?

Speaker 4 Yeah, that's where all of us sophisticated people go. You know, I studied abroad there.
I came back.

Speaker 4 I'm shocked she didn't have an accent. I'm shocked she's not one of the people who goes, studies in France for three weeks.
He was, how do you say hello?

Speaker 4 Oh, we are back in America. How do you say I totally forget you? So she comes back.
She goes, yeah, I had to, I came back from Europe.

Speaker 4 I come back to America to this awful state of Tennessee.

Speaker 4 Okay.

Speaker 4 And then

Speaker 4 just to round it out,

Speaker 4 there couldn't possibly be any other damaging clips of this woman, right? No, she's already as unlikable as possible.

Speaker 4 She couldn't possibly be, I don't know, celebrating and encouraging political violence, could she?

Speaker 10 Afton Bain says, I'm a very radical person.

Speaker 12 So radical, Bain thinks.

Speaker 11 Rioting is a way for people to express themselves.

Speaker 10 Worse, Bain went on a midnight joyride harassing ICE officers and state troopers.

Speaker 12 This is great.

Speaker 11 We've got our girl squad and we're bullying the ICE vehicles and state troopers. So this is like unhinged.
And it's really scary.

Speaker 4 We rioting, we like rioting. We like mostly peaceful arson.
We love attacking cops.

Speaker 4 And I don't know. She might win.
I mean, happily,

Speaker 4 Tennessee is all red except for around Memphis and around Nashville. The fact that I don't know, it's still a relatively conservative area.

Speaker 4 But truly, if this is the caliber of congressional candidate that the Democrats are running, it can mean one of two things.

Speaker 4 It can mean either the Democrats haven't learned a lesson, they haven't moderated, the people are going to reject them wholesale in the midterms, and we'll see special election into the midterms.

Speaker 4 Or if she does manage to get herself elected, then it's going to be a very rough

Speaker 4 next five to 10 years for some. We're going to have, I would say, stretch out now a little bit because we are going to be loaded onto trains, to the gulags.

Speaker 4 We will very likely get, if you don't smoke, I would start smoking cigarettes for when they put us in front of the firing squads because that is as radical as it gets. And it's not just her.

Speaker 4 It's not just this woman. Democrat legislators in Congress are doubling down on men and women's sports.
And this is really shocking to me.

Speaker 4 121 Democrat House members and nine Democrat senators filed an amicus brief last week in the Idaho case, Little v. Heacocks and in West Virginia v.
BPJ. Court's going to hear this January 13th, 2026.

Speaker 4 This is all about men and women's sports. And there's very, very little reporting on this.

Speaker 4 But just keep it in mind as we start to look ahead to the midterms, as we start to think where are the parties moving, or is anyone moderating?

Speaker 4 Is anyone grabbing the center, especially as we look to what's going to happen after President Trump leaves office? This was

Speaker 4 the cultural issue for the past, I don't know, five years.

Speaker 4 This is what caused the collapse of the Democrat Party, is that they embraced trans ideology all the way down to transing the kids, all the way down to men beating up girls in women's sports and men changing in women's locker rooms.

Speaker 4 And that caused their downfall. That was it.
More than the economy, more than immigration, more than any of the other issues.

Speaker 4 Because with the trans issue, it shows that the Democrats have no judgment. It shows that their judgment is totally off.

Speaker 4 And if Democrats couldn't tell you the difference between a man and a woman, if they tried to seriously make you believe that a man could be a woman or vice versa, then they didn't know anything about anything.

Speaker 4 This is, it would turn up in public opinion surveys on like common sense, common sense issues was one way to code this.

Speaker 4 It didn't always come up as, you know, do trans issues land in your top three priorities, but common sense, good judgment, these sorts of, do you trust them? That's where it would turn up.

Speaker 4 And I thought that the Democrats got the message in 2024 after they lost the popular vote for the first time in 20 years. I thought they got the message, okay, we got to get rid of this stuff.

Speaker 4 And they kind of pushed trans to the side for a while, but they're held hostage by their ideology.

Speaker 4 Because if they're going to hold on to feminism, if they're going to hold on to gay marriage, so-called, if they're going to hold on to radical egalitarianism, if they're going to hold on to all these other associated ideologies, they have to embrace transgenderism.

Speaker 4 If you uphold so-called gay marriage, you're saying that men and women are basically the same. There's no meaningful difference between men and women.
So you have to embrace transgenderism.

Speaker 4 And if you embrace transgenderism,

Speaker 4 you have to embrace men and women's sports. You have to.
You can't.

Speaker 4 If you reject men and women's sports, you are implicitly rejecting transgenderism.

Speaker 4 And if you embrace transgenderism, you have to embrace transing the kids. Because you're saying it's true that a man can be a woman.

Speaker 4 Well, why, why is it true for a 30-year-old, but it's not true for a 13-year-old? You have to do it. And so they saw that it was a huge political liability.
They tried to pull back from it.

Speaker 4 You haven't heard a lot about the trans stuff recently. And then they're leaning into it again.

Speaker 4 Somewhat surreptitiously, but forcefully, 121 House members, nine senators coming out saying, no, we need to defend men and women's sports. This could be a live issue in the midterms and in 2028.

Speaker 4 And I really hope it is. I really, really hope it is.

Speaker 4 videos about congressional candidates saying, you know, the real problem with trans violence is the transphobic backlash. Please give me that all day.

Speaker 4 And for Republicans, hold their feet to the fire on this. I know it feels cliche at this point almost.

Speaker 4 I know it feels kind of like a dead issue because we won it so forcefully, but Democrats aren't going to give it up because they can't give it up.

Speaker 4 When pressed on the issue, they're going to have to defend transgenderism. Good.

Speaker 4 I want you to beat that dead horse until it turns into a bottle of Elmer's glue, okay? I want you to beat that dead horse issue into oblivion.

Speaker 4 Because it generates, one, as a matter of justice, but two, electorally, it's just gold. It's absolute gold.
And Dems don't want to give it up? Fine, fine Fine by me. Speaking of men and women,

Speaker 4 Scott Besson, Treasury Secretary. I'm a great admirer of the man.
I've interviewed him a couple of times. I think he's just terrific.

Speaker 4 just had a beautiful interview on NBC News. And, you know, look, they bring Scott Besson out not to talk about all the really sexy cultural issues.
You know, they bring him out.

Speaker 4 He's the Treasury Secretary.

Speaker 4 So he's brought out to talk about things like inflation, sometimes trade or tariffs, the Federal Reserve, you know, all these like really boring, dry issues that just affect like the economy or whatever.

Speaker 4 So they bring them on, but he adds a little pizzazz to it. As he, I'm not,

Speaker 4 I'm not even going to set it up.

Speaker 4 Here is Scott Besson speaking to NBC News.

Speaker 9 Well, and banana prices are up almost 7%. Coffee prices up nearly 19%.
Isn't the fact that you're rolling back tariffs an admission that ultimately they do drive up prices for consumers?

Speaker 15 Kristen, how much does your arm weigh?

Speaker 2 That I do not know.

Speaker 15 Exactly, but you know how much you weigh. You get on the scale every morning.
Inflation is a composite number, and we look at everything.

Speaker 15 So we are trying, we try to push down the things we can control. And as I said, that we are working on

Speaker 15 the energy prices are down, and

Speaker 15 everything flows from that. And I think we're going to see these other prices come down.

Speaker 4 Rear.

Speaker 4 I love this so much.

Speaker 4 Besson's so smart, and he just operates at a very high level. So he's sitting there.
She goes, you know, banana prices are up. You know, she picks a few examples of places where prices have gone up.

Speaker 4 Inflation actually is quite under control right now. And the San Francisco Federal Reserve just discovered that the tariffs, far from being inflationary, actually were deflationary.

Speaker 4 And so she says, but in these few examples, the prices have gone up. He says, Christian, how much does your arm weigh?

Speaker 4 You don't know how much your arm weighs, right? It's just a part of you, and you don't,

Speaker 4 that's not a meaningful number.

Speaker 4 He says, of course, you don't know how much your arm weighs, but you know how much you weigh. Kristen, every morning you get up, you walk over to that scale, don't you, in the bathroom?

Speaker 4 You'll look at yourself in the mirror, disappointed more and more each day, wondering.

Speaker 4 how many more flaps, how many more folds are going to appear on your body before the aging starts to reverse course and you start to thin out.

Speaker 4 You become a stick and a rail before you die. You almost wish that that process might begin because of how fat you look, Kristen.
Every time you reach for a muffin, you say,

Speaker 4 I can't eat it. I don't want to eat it.

Speaker 4 no man in my life ever

Speaker 4 look at me with desire again.

Speaker 4 Well, anyway, Kristen, that's kind of how inflation is. Because, you know, you're really measuring the whole thing, right, Kristen?

Speaker 4 I don't.

Speaker 4 She's not fat, by the way. She's not fat.
She is a good-looking woman.

Speaker 4 Just say, I love that, the kind of the needling there.

Speaker 4 How much does your arm weigh here? You don't know that. You know how much you weigh, though, don't you? Yeah.

Speaker 4 Yeah, Kristen.

Speaker 4 Want to talk about that?

Speaker 4 It's so beautiful. It's great.
Anyway, I love it. And it's true.

Speaker 4 And he makes a good point on how we should consider inflation and bananas and the whole economy.

Speaker 4 Because what the Libs are going to do and what the Lib Journos are going to do is they're going to try to point to one number,

Speaker 4 this number, just whatever the bad numbers are, they're going to try to point to that.

Speaker 4 Meanwhile, if you're looking at Trump's economy right now, you can say, overall, stock markets are at record highs. That's great.

Speaker 4 Inflation is back under control. In some cases, the tariffs actually were deflationary.
Real wages are up because wage growth and salary growth has outpaced inflation.

Speaker 4 And you're looking pretty good. GDP growth has been strong,

Speaker 4 relatively strong.

Speaker 4 The jobs numbers in September doubled forecasts, so more than doubled forecasts. So, you know, overall, the economy is looking pretty good under Trump.

Speaker 4 And a lot of things that the genius economists and the libs predicted would happen, namely massive inflation because of the tariffs, that didn't happen. Actually, the opposite happened.

Speaker 4 It was a very effective way for Scott Besson to do it. And I found it funny and delightful.

Speaker 4 Now, speaking of NBC News, Zoron Mamdani goes on NBC News to Kristen Walker, who actually did a great, great job here. She holds his feet to the fire because

Speaker 4 Zoron just palled around with Trump in the Oval Office. Hold on, I thought Trump was a fascist.

Speaker 14 And I think what I appreciated about the conversation that I had with the President was that we were not shy about the places of disagreement about the politics that has brought us to this moment.

Speaker 4 Would he be smiling like a little schoolboy in that Oval Office? Would he and Trump be, you know, patting each other on the back slapping, having fun, joking around together with the press?

Speaker 4 If you seriously believe that someone poses an existential threat to your country and to democracy,

Speaker 4 And so then you have this contradiction here, what Zoron is saying on NBC News to try to save face

Speaker 4 and what Zoron did in the Oval Office with Trump when it counted.

Speaker 4 With his words, he said Trump is a fascist and a dictator and a despot and an authoritarian. He's Hitler 2.0, whatever.

Speaker 4 But what he did, what he showed you in color, in 3D, is that he doesn't believe any of that.

Speaker 4 He made himself out to be a doofus. He made himself out to be a total joke.
Even the way he delivers this line on NBC. So do you think he's a fascist? I do.
Yeah. I do think he's a fascist.

Speaker 4 That was the guy you were hanging out with yesterday, like joking around with? Yes, I think he's Hitler. Yeah, I think I was,

Speaker 4 yes, I think I was palling around with Hitler yesterday. We had a lovely lunch, Hitler and I.
It was we had schnitzel lunchbetzel. It was, it was delicious.

Speaker 4 Yeah, I think he's the, I think he's the devil incarnate. Yeah, we were texting last night, actually.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's an existential threat to the country.

Speaker 4 turning to actual threats. A horrific story out of Nigeria.

Speaker 4 Many of you have been following this. I've been retweeting things about it, you know, I've been posting a little bit about it on social media.

Speaker 4 I don't, we've covered it broadly on this show, the persecution of Christians in Nigeria, but the attack a few days ago was particularly egregious.

Speaker 4 315 Catholic school schoolchildren were kidnapped by Muslims in Nigeria.

Speaker 4 12 teachers, in addition to the 315 school children, kidnapped by Muslim gunmen in Nigeria. Happily, as of yesterday, 50 children escaped.
They took so many kids that 50 kids were allowed to get out.

Speaker 4 Then also yesterday,

Speaker 4 Another 25 Christian students were kidnapped from a school in Kebi.

Speaker 4 Just absolutely awful.

Speaker 4 As a reminder that we talk about the persecution of Christians in America, and specifically Catholics, actually, under Joe Biden, where Joe Biden was, even when he was vice president, was bringing law affair against nuns, you know, little sisters of the poor, and he was spying on Catholic churches,

Speaker 4 calling us traditionalist extremists, you know, terrorist threats, basically, because we like the Latin Mass, you know, Mass of the Ages. But

Speaker 4 look, I guess that is a kind of a persecution.

Speaker 4 Compare that to what real persecution looks like in Nigeria. That's what we're seeing.

Speaker 4 It's a reminder that as everyone plays the victim game, and you know, we all talk about this is the real threats here, the real threats there.

Speaker 4 The real threats is llamophobia, we hear from this woman who wants to be the Congress lady from Nashville.

Speaker 4 The most persecuted religion in the world is Christianity. Christians are the most persecuted religious group by far.
It's not even close.

Speaker 4 And Christians Christians are persecuted by all sorts of different groups.

Speaker 4 You know, in secular liberalism, you know, there's a kind of an atheist persecution, but the chief persecutors of Christians are Muslims.

Speaker 4 And that's been true for a very long time. That's been true for about 1,400 years now, and you're seeing it in Nigeria now.
So the question is, what do we do? There can be all sorts of debates.

Speaker 4 Should the United States intervene? We're the global hegemon, but we don't want to get involved in wars that don't directly affect the national interest.

Speaker 4 And we don't don't want to get involved in abstract ideological wars, you know, to spread liberalism and democracy in the Middle East or something. Do we want to get involved for religious reasons?

Speaker 4 That's a little deeper and more defensible than ideological reasons. We are a Christian country, after all,

Speaker 4 and we want to support our Christian brethren.

Speaker 4 Maybe. Yeah, maybe.
There are going to be some more isolationist types who don't want to do that. I guess the question that I would ask is, have you prayed?

Speaker 4 Have you prayed? This is, because Aaron says,

Speaker 4 why aren't we all talking about persecution of Christians in Nigeria? Why aren't we talking about it? Why aren't we doing something about it?

Speaker 4 And I share some of that frustration.

Speaker 4 But you do have to ask yourself,

Speaker 4 have you personally prayed for the Catholic school children in Nigeria who were kidnapped, who were under the control of Muslim lunatics there?

Speaker 4 For the 100,000 Christians who have been murdered in Nigeria recently? For the tens of thousands of churches that have been burned down?

Speaker 4 Have you just prayed for them? Because as my my friend Father Ben Keeley points out, prayer is not the last resort. Prayer is the first resort.
Have you done that?

Speaker 4 I don't know. Maybe not.
If you haven't, maybe you should.

Speaker 4 Another minor point before we get to the mailbag, it's not a minor point, it's actually a major point, but it has a personal aspect to it.

Speaker 4 You'll recall

Speaker 4 last week, I was talking about this congressional candidate, Democrat congressional candidate, Jack Schlossberg. He's John Kennedy's grandson.

Speaker 4 And I was making some jokes about his congressional campaign. He's running in New York.
And And I said, you know, I don't want it to be personal because he was a schoolmate of mine.

Speaker 4 He was a couple of years younger than me or so. And actually his sister was in my class.

Speaker 4 Really awful story. It became a major national, even international news story a couple of days ago when it was revealed that

Speaker 4 his sister, JFK's granddaughter, Tatiana Schlossberg, was diagnosed with very aggressive rare terminal cancer. And I really didn't know her as an undergraduate, even though she was in my class.

Speaker 4 I remember her vividly, but I didn't really know her. But by all accounts, she seemed really lovely, very sweet, very nice, nice gal.
Just so awful. She's very, very young, has two young kids.

Speaker 4 She was diagnosed right after she gave birth. It was actually in the hospital while giving birth.
They discovered this and diagnosed her, and it's really awful. It seems quite dire.

Speaker 4 So anyway, just a request of prayer for her as well. You know, obviously she has a kind of political profile because she's JFK's granddaughter and she's done some work as a journalist and writer.

Speaker 4 But just also a little personal, personal request, if you wouldn't mind praying for Tatiana.

But the kind of complement to that is when you are still.

Speaker 4 and you're in command of yourself, of your voice, of your, you make eye contact, not in a creepy way, but enough enough eye contact. You're very still, you know.
And so that's it.

Speaker 4 And so you're confident, you're solid,

Speaker 4 you approach the girl, and

Speaker 4 you have to be sincerely interested in her.

Speaker 4 So that's the key. And you can't, I wouldn't recommend faking that.

Speaker 4 because the marital debt refers to the conjugal act, let's say. That's what it refers to.
When you take your vows, when you sign up to get married, you are committing to

Speaker 4 bumping uglies. That's what you're doing.
And being open to life and the consequences of that and everything. Right.
So that's what it refers to.

Speaker 4 I love how you say, well, okay, so that means that the wife owes the man sex.

Speaker 4 What's the wife get?

Speaker 4 Because the actual answer is she gets the sex too.

Speaker 4 You know, it comes, St. Paul writes about this.
I think in 1 Corinthians, right?

Speaker 4 He says, you know, men do not withhold the conjugal right from your wife, and wives don't withhold the conjugal right from your husbands.

Speaker 4 So I like your thinking, like, does it mean I get to go to Cabo once a year? Does that, is it, do I get like a nice scented candle or something? What do I, will he cook me dinner one night?

Speaker 4 No, it, the, it, it just refers to that. And it is true that generally speaking, men are more interested in that than women are.
Not that women aren't interested, but men are very interested in that.

Speaker 4 But that's it. And hopefully women, you know, as you say, hopefully women feel as though they get a lot of things from their man, but that's it.

Speaker 4 The man owes it to the woman, the woman owes it to the man, and it's, it's the same thing. Next one.

Speaker 18 So one of my friends from high school, who was a Christian and still claims to be, came out as a lesbian our senior year.

Speaker 18 And while I know gay marriage isn't a thing, according to the state, she's legally married to a woman now. She and her partner want to use a donor to have a kid together.

Speaker 18 And while there are a lot of problems with that, here's my main issue. I have a young kid, and I plan to have more.

Speaker 18 I don't want to have to explain why their friend Timmy has two moms. It's my only option to end my friendship with her to protect my kids from that.

Speaker 4 bring this up to your friend before she commits this very serious

Speaker 4 sin, before she creates a child at the baby store intentionally to deprive that child of his natural father. It's a very awful thing to do to a child.

Speaker 4 And so I would maybe, since you're her friend, I would maybe counsel her to think about that, you know, to consider the bioethics of it and not to do that.

Speaker 4 And you know, I'm not saying you need to like throw her off a rooftop or something. You don't even need to really address the lesbian thing.

Speaker 4 You could just, you know, say, hey, you know, we kind of are where we are, but

Speaker 4 I wouldn't recommend doing, doing that thing and explaining why.

Speaker 4 And she might, who knows, she might end your friendship over that comment.

Speaker 4 But I think it'd be good. That's a helpful and loving thing to do to your friend.

Speaker 4 And it's not to say that you can never, you know, see your friend again or go get drinks or something, but

Speaker 4 if you really fear that this woman, not just even having the lesbian partner, but you know, going through the supposed marriage and then, you know, creating a child in this deeply, deeply immoral way,

Speaker 4 if you fear that that will really scandalize your kid, then it seems to me you're going to want to circumscribe that friendship.

Speaker 4 I'm not saying you got to cut the lady out entirely, but you're probably going to want to circumscribe that to protect your kid from that. That's probably true.
Sad.

Speaker 4 It's sad because maybe you can avoid that by explaining your concerns.

Speaker 4 And maybe your friend will be open to it. But

Speaker 4 it's not so easy. Some people, the open-minded liberal types, will say, oh, what are you talking about? It's no big deal.
But you don't want to scandalize a kid. You really don't.

Speaker 19 I heard something recently on modesty that has me questioning everything.

Speaker 19 Apparently, Our Lady of Fatima said that certain fashions would be introduced that offended our Lord. And then people on the internet are saying that means no shorts, no pants, no short-sleeve shirts.

Speaker 19 And I don't know what to make of it all.

Speaker 19 Is modesty relative to the time?

Speaker 19 Or should I be wearing long sleeves and ankle-length skirts every day?

Speaker 19 Just trying to, you know, avoid hell and growing virtue things.

Speaker 4 Good question.

Speaker 4 I didn't know that about Our Lady of Fatima.

Speaker 4 I'm hearing it now for the first time, okay? And she is an amazing woman. Our Lady is an amazing woman, without question about it.

Speaker 4 And I don't, and I do subscribe, you know, I do believe in the Fatima apparitions. For those of you who don't know, it's that Mary appeared to three children in Portugal about 100 years ago.

Speaker 4 There's much to say about that, though we don't have time here. So that's what the question is about.
And

Speaker 4 I suppose, you know, when it comes to an apparition such as Fatima, you are not obligated as a matter of your faith to believe in it, but it seems you do believe in the apparition, and maybe you believe in this supposed aspect of it.

Speaker 4 So then let's get to the issue itself, the modesty.

Speaker 4 I would not advocate going full burqa. I think the Muslims take it a little bit too far.
However, I have said a tasteful headscarf is nice.

Speaker 4 Good enough for Audrey Heper and good enough for any of us.

Speaker 4 On the point of shorts,

Speaker 4 Sometimes the shorts are a little, they're a little much, you know, in public.

Speaker 4 Maybe not around the house, you know, when you're just with your husband or whatever, but when you're at in public sometimes let me the the athletic wear where it's the skin tight little yoga pants and stuff it's too much it's too much

Speaker 4 even sometimes like really form-fitting jeans or whatever it's

Speaker 4 it's not i'm not saying it needs to be proscribed by law i'm saying it's not the most modest and sometimes guys

Speaker 4 they look okay

Speaker 4 and

Speaker 4 Even with, I don't know, short-sleeve shirts, I think, are probably okay, but not if it's got a plunging neckline or if it's some, I don't know. I mean, you have to take that seriously.

Speaker 4 And this is not that we're instituting Sharia law in America. You know, our own culture was much, much more modest until pretty recently.
I mean, the bikini was only invented in what, in the 40s?

Speaker 4 And our, and women did dress much, much more modestly. So

Speaker 4 I like a dress on a lady, you know, I do. But I would just say, you don't, again, you can use some prudence here, I think, as you're working through this question, just about the issue itself.

Speaker 4 Maybe you don't wear the like super,

Speaker 4 I don't know,

Speaker 4 skin-tight sweatpants or whatever. Maybe you opt for maybe a little more modest pants.
Maybe you, you don't have to go full burkini at the beach, but maybe you wear a more tasteful bathing suit.

Speaker 4 Maybe you can, we can work around these things because it's real. I remember one time I was in school.
I think it was in high school. I remember this middle school and high school.

Speaker 4 And the girls would wear these really like, you know, skin tight pants and stuff like that. I remember I was taking a test, SAT or whatever standardized test.

Speaker 4 And I remember thinking, I was like, the girls are in an advantage here. Because here I am, I'm taking the test and I'm distracted by the girls.
But the girls are not distracted by me.

Speaker 4 Giga Chad, though I may be. The girls are not there.

Speaker 4 I am at a disadvantage, a sexual disadvantage. And that's very wrong.

Speaker 4 Maybe for that kind of situation, maybe Burkas are called for. I don't know.
