Day 277: The Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries
Today we journey through the heart of Christ’s Passion and the glory of his triumph. Fr. Mark-Mary reflects on the beauty of immediately following the Sorrowful mysteries with the Glorious. Despite the sorrow of the cross, we can surely rejoice in the Resurrection, celebrating the victory of life over death. These mysteries remind us that through the Cross comes eternal hope. Today’s focus is the mysteries of the Crowning with Thorns, the Carrying of the Cross, the Crucifixion, and the Resurrection. We will be praying four decades of the Rosary.

Speaker 1 Today we will be praying and concluding the sorrowful mysteries, and then we'll pray the first glorious mystery.
Speaker 1 So the third, fourth, and fifth sorrowful mysteries, the crowning with thorns, the carrying of the cross, and the crucifixion, and then the first glorious mystery, the resurrection.
Speaker 11 I'm sure people have different thoughts about it, but I'm enjoying the way in which we're praying some of the different sets of mysteries together because I think they highlight the connection and the overall movement of the life of Jesus.

Speaker 1 praying with the crucifixion and then going right into the resurrection.
Speaker 12 This kind of reminder, right, that Jesus', if you will, story,
Speaker 4 it ends with his victory. It ends with his rising from the dead.
