Hello, and welcome to the Victor Davis Hansen Show.

This is our Friday news roundup, so we're going to be looking at the news of the week and of course it is about the elections.

So we've got lots of questions for Victor about the elections.

They're coming up on Tuesday.

So stay with us and we'll be right back.

I knew we all had two ages.

our actual age and our internal biological age.

What I didn't know is I've likely lowered my biological age without even knowing it.

Here's the thing.

Because Americans eat so many processed foods and not enough fruits and veggies, many, perhaps most, are 10 plus years older on the inside than their actual age.

They're ticking time bombs.

A major university study suggests how to slow aging and diffuse that biological time bomb.

Participants slowed their aging by drinking field of greens.

That's all.

They didn't change their eating, drinking, or exercise, just field of greens.

When I started Field of Greens to replace my multivitamin, I was amazed.

After about two weeks, my energy improved.

I've been exercising more, and my overall wellness feels great.

Each fruit and vegetable in Field of Greens was doctor selected for specific health benefits.

Cell health, heart, lungs, kidney, metabolism, even healthy weight.

It's wonderful knowing Field of Greens can slow how quickly I'm aging.

And I encourage you to join me, swap your untested fruit, vegetable, or green drink for Field of Greens.

While there's time, check out the university study and get 20%

Welcome back to the Victor Davis-Hanson Show.

Victor, so I wanted to first talk about Kamala's unity speech that she gave on Tuesday night.

And I was wondering, first, your thoughts, and maybe I'll have some questions about that.

Well, it was very

advertised and it was pre-planned and the purpose was to resonate all of these different themes.

It was going to be the last major speech before the election.

She chose the ellipse near the White House so that she could say that she was running to save democracy and she said four years earlier in this exact spot, Donald Trump egged on a

mob that tried to destroy democracy.

Now, the problem, of course, with that is that maybe it was unwise to have that buffoonish riot, but he did say,

I expect you to assemble peacefully and patriotically at the Capitol.

He didn't say, as she did in 2020,

this is not going to stop, it shouldn't stop it being the violent demonstrations for the last 120 days.

This is a movement, it's going to go on to election.

Donald Trump didn't get a

Facebook page and say, We got to bail out the people who were convicted of violence on January 6th, like she did, trying to help people get out of jail who had committed violent acts to get arrested.

But anyway, she planned this, and it was just typical of the left in general.

Obama's been doing it, and Hillary's been doing it.

It's what the Greeks called praetoritio, and that means when you

preempt your audience by saying,

I don't really

want to talk ad hominem.

I don't believe in personal invective.

And the fact that my opponent

has

six different girlfriends and is a sodomite and an ursurer has nothing to do.

It's most famously, as I quoted once, from Demosthenes' speech De Corona, scathing attack on Eschines.

And it's used to masterful effect by Cicero in his Philippics, the attacks that got his hands, ears, and head cut off by an angry butt of his invective.

But Pradoradio means something like this.

We need unity.

We're going to have unity.

There's no time for division.

And I'm going to tell you that Donald Trump,

he's fascist.

But we've got to have unity.

And that's what it was.

So it was all scripted and

the convention, I mean, she used all of the old lies.

She mentioned the suckers and losers.

That's already been repudiated.

She said the national abortion ban.

Trump wants to have a federal ban.

He's already said that he did not.

And then we remember, of course, that Donald Trump had the most liberal

stance on abortion of his major contenders, let the states handle it.

So she did all of that.

And then she went to the comedian who had said that, you know, he's a Don Rickle, and people are probably too young, but some of us out there are my age, and we all remember Don Rickles.

He was very funny, but he would say anything, anytime, anywhere, and insult people.

And sometimes those jokes did not go over.

So if you're going to get a hit at a comedian,

the last seven days, I wouldn't have done it.

But Trump was very magnanimous.

He didn't blame anybody.

He said, basically, stuff happened.

It's a comedian.

And, you know, he was,

I don't think he was attacking the Puerto Rican.

He was just making, he was trying to tie in recent news stories that Puerto Rico has been using

scenic canyons and preserves to just throw trash in.

That's been all over the news.

So he's trying to make a joke.

So they use that as if he hated Latino people because they see this hemorrhaging where 45%

of Hispanics are going to vote.

Trump, it seems like.

So it was all canned.

They thought we're just going to coast in.

Donald Trump gave us an October gift.

And then Joe Biden.

Joe Biden.

Remember why

Barack Obama said, never underestimate

the ways that Joe can F something up.

And he did.

So he spoiled that pre-planned, carefully choreographed unity speech.

It was a unity, but you know, when she gets into that little adrenaline rush when she starts talking about Nazis or fascists or Trump, you get a glimpse into her character, and you can see why she fired 90% of her staff.

You can just imagine what it would be like

working for.

Vice President Harris,

there was no phone signal here in the corridor, so I couldn't get that message, what did you do?

And that's what she did in that speech.

And she got very, very angry at points.

It was kind of, Hillary does the same thing.

But anyway, then there's Joe Biden and Joe Biden.

I don't know what he's doing.

She's out in the e-lift and he's not invited.

It's kind of like, I remember when I was a little kid, my brother had a birthday party and my mom said, well, you know, you guys are two years younger, you and your twin brother, and let Nels have his, you know, birthday party.

It was understandable.

So we kind of looked out the window.

Can't we be go?

And we kind of tried to sabotage it, you know, like sneak in.

Well, he wasn't invited he should have been on the stage he's the president of the united states yeah but he was kind of in the white house i guess just typing away with interviews and nobody he was he was a child that was not attended to and so when they mentioned and he was with latinos and you know how he always demagogues and he's he's got a whole prior history

of

chumps.

He called the people, remember Pennsylvania, chumps.

He's called them fascists.

He's called them ultra magazines.

Remember he called them the dregs of society who opposed LGBTQ.

And it was just a bad week for him, right?

In this process, he got on to a computer and he said,

there aren't garbage, it's Trump's supporters.

And then all hell broke loose.

So they didn't know what to do.

So everybody forgot the speech.

It was supposed to give the fumes to ignite a little, and it may,

you know, I'm not discounting the media's ability to turn a

sales ear into a silk purse.

But my point is that then what do you do?

The President of the United States just called half the nation garbage.

And then so some of them said, well, you know what?

That's a plural noun.

So we just separate on the text, kind of like with the Robert Hurr transcript we wanted to not release, or maybe the way CBS did it, they altered it.

We'll just put an apostrophe and make it a singular.

So it is the comedian dash supporters possessive garbage.

I don't know.

It didn't make sense.

And the problem was that people had already reported.

You listen to them, and you can see that distinction between possessive and just plural noun.

So that didn't work.

And then some people thought, well, maybe we should distance ourselves from Biden.

Yeah, but he's already put on a MAGA hat.

He might put on, I don't know, Elon Musk black gothic

next.

He's capable of anything.

You know, he already said that when we asked if she was a partner, he said, Yes, she was there in every major decision.

And the subtext, I'm polling 40%, and she should too.

She was responsible for our catastrophe.

So then part of the guys probably said, you know, if you do, he'll put a MAGA hat on.

He'll try to sabotage you.

Don't do anything.

Then the other, the third people said,

ah, well,

then you've got to apologize.

You've got to distance yourself from him.

And so she kind of sort of maybe did a little bit.

She said, well, I don't think we should do anything.

And then there was two other exegesis.

And one was, you just say

he's incompetent.

He's insane.

You don't take him seriously.

Well, he's president, so you can't do that because he's got his hands on the nuclear button, so he's got 90 days left.

And then the most imaginative advice was, well, you double down on it.

They are garbage.

So you just say, you know what?

We've called them fascists, we've called them Nazis, and what do we have to lose?

They're garbage Nazis.

And so it was just a disaster.

It had every element that won't stop.

And so then Donald Trump being Donald Trump,

he's able to do these stage stunts like a kid, but they don't come off like Dukakis in his tank with his bobblehead or Tim Waltz dressed up with his plaid shirt, a brand new hunting gear he bought, you know, just a, I don't know, big five to go out there, and then

he can't load his gun.

Trump is authentic, so when he goes to McDonald's, think about it, it works.

He's there in his suit.

He's authentic.

He doesn't come in like, you think if it was Gavin Newsom, he would have his Abercrombie and Fitch little vest on, you know, and his hiking boots to go to McDonald's.

Not Trump.

He had the whole nine-yard, the red tie, the suit, the white shirt, and then he puts that McDonald's thing on.

So he's authentic.

Then he's happy.

He's smiling.

You're not an ordinary.

I'm just an ordinary.

No, you're not ordinary.

And he goes, how am I doing?

I've done 15 minutes.

He was having a great time.

And then the third thing is there's always a point to it.

The caucus' point was,

I'm soft on defense, so I'll bobble my head in a tank.

And, you know, Walt says I'm soft on the Second Amendment, so I'll try to load a gun.

But he had a zero focus.

This draws attention to the fact that she's lying.

She's trying to emulate a working person at McDonald's.

I'm actually here.

Then he did the same thing after hearing the garbage.

He gets in a garbage truck.

And he has the suit, and he puts on the red vest over the suit, and he's smiling, and it's authentic and it reminds everybody for another 24 hours that Joe Biden called them garbage.

And then Joe Biden, you know, this is another question.

It brings me back.

I have a good friend that reminded me of something I had totally forgot.

This summer there was that episode where Joe Biden, they thought he had COVID or something.

He went into the, he was in Las Vegas and he might have kind of maybe was on his way to the emergency room or something and they kind of hushed it up.

I think something must have happened to him because I was looking at tapes after this person reminded me of that.

And

he was going downhill, but

that is exactly when Obama stepped in.

You know what I mean?

He stepped in after that episode.

I think he had a mini-stroke or something because he's now just gone.

And in the last 10 days, he said that we've got to lock Donald Trump up.

Joe, you're not supposed to remind people

that Nathan Wade met with your counsel two times to coordinate this hit on him in Fulton County, Georgia.

You're not supposed to remind people that Mr.

Coangelo, the third highest-ranking person in your DOJ,

came from the Ledita James.

That's how you hired him because he was working with La Tita James and he went back through the revolving door of lawfare back to Alvin Bragg.

You're not supposed to remind people of that.

You're not supposed to remind people that you appointed Jack Smith the same day, the same day, three days after Trump announced his candidacy, then you appointed Jack Smith the same day Nathan Wade was in the White House, the same day Coangelo resigned from the DOJ on his way out to work with Alvin Bragg.

He's not supposed to remind people of that, and here he is lock him up.

Then he did some kind of weird Fredo thing.

Remember Fredo and the Godfather?

When the mother dies, Michael says, you know, he can live, and then they take him out in the water and throw him out and drown him.

So

he's at the Baltimore shore, and he's talking.

He says, I like to take him out for a swim.

Well, I think he meant the comedian, but a lot of people pointed out he said he, and he had on two prior occasions said he'd like to take him, Trump, behind the gym.

Remember that?

Yes.

And beat him up.

Yeah, so maybe this was another one of those.

Yes.

Beat him up.

So it was kind of like, I like to do a Fredo on him.

But it's crazy.

And then

the piece of resistance was he went back to his turkey gobbling again.

Remember that in Helsinki a year ago?

That poor little child?

He kind of went

on

her neck.

And the mother was like,

On the one hand, the President of the United States is touching my child.

On the other hand, he's a pervert.

So then he had this two children.

He kind of started.

I know, Sam, you're going to say, oh, yes, but everybody pulls a little Twinkie or they touch their little shoulder when they see a baby, but they don't turkey gobble and leg.

And the other child was dressed in a chicken costume, and he tried to

bite the leg.

Maybe he thought that it was a real chicken he was going to eat.

You're trying to suggest he's accountable, Victoria.

I don't know what it is.

I don't know

I'm trying to suggest this,

that these are signs of somebody, even in the Democratic Party mindset, because one of their handlers said, you know, you just say he,

you know,

you don't criticize him.

You don't keep silent.

You just kind of say he's Joe.

He's cognitive challenged.

But he's got, as I said, 90 days.

It really raises a question.

I mentioned it before, but we've got 90 days.

And he could have a major stroke or he has had a major stroke.

I just don't think he's capable of filling out his term.

If Trump were to win on Tuesday,

that would be the weirdest thing in the world.

You would have his first opponent exit,

who's an incumbent president, exit the race.

His second

coronated opponent that never entered or won a primary lose to him, who was still vice president, but then she would go up to president for 90 days.

Who knows what devilry she would do in that 90 days to Trump, right?

Yes, probably.

She would probably try to get him jailed if she could, since they've already been colluding with all of these law fairs.

So the whole thing, I've never seen anything like it before.

It all gets back to the original point.

Once you start lying, and breaking the law, then you keep breaking the law online.

The fact was, back in March 2020, he was going nowhere.

The voters of Nevada, New Hampshire, Iowa knew he was cognitively challenged.

But when they got Clyburn to come up and he said, this is what I want on my African-American agenda, and

I will get that vote out.

South Carolina was 30%

African-American.

But, but, but, you have to be a stooge for the hard left.

And then they said, buttajig, Spartacus, Elizabeth Warren, Warren, Bernie,

stagger it, but in the next 90 days, you're all going to get out.

Once you do that and lie to the people that he's okay,

then it just, you keep lying and lying until the lies, by their sheer ponderous weight, collapse.

That's where we are now.

No, it's a joke.

It's a joke.

Yeah, everybody thinks he's senile.

Everybody thinks he's senior.

Well, I would like to remind everybody about Truth Social.

So my only question is perhaps Joe is actually crazy like a fox because his

how do you call it, mess-ups seem to occur at the perfect moment to destroy Kamala?

I said that.

I just mentioned that.

I said that it's like you can't trust him.

He'll put on a.

I guess what you're differing from me, I said he would put on a need he needs to put on another MAGA hat.

Maybe it'll be a gothic black one like Elon Musk.

But you're suggesting that I think that he's so reckless, he's capable of these inadvertent, and you're saying instead that they're pre-planned, that he's still calculating

crazy.

Yeah, that's true.

I think he is kind of blackmailing, or Jill is.

Jill must sit there every day and said,

we were at the center of the world.

And I had you choreographed, and we had you down to a three-day week.

It was sustainable.

You could have won that election.

And then Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer and Hike Jeffries

sabotaged us.

So, you know what?

What would happen if, I don't know, you put on a MAGA hat, you sort of waited for your own October surprise and said they were garbage?

Would she lose?

What would happen to Camilla if she lost?

Where would she go?

Oh, she's no longer vice president.

Oh, she's no longer a U.S.

Senator.

What is she going to do at 60?

She's all washed up, right?

She's...

There's nothing there.

And what do people look at historically?

Now, they might think am en composment, but they might also say, you know, Joe had a bad night.

That was all.

And then they had this coup.

The Obama staged it, and they got an inferior candidate.

So, you know, they didn't play by their rules, and I could have won.

So, Joe Biden forever, he will say this, I am the only man in history to defeat Donald Trump for the presidency.

I did.

The two women did not.

I did.

And you

blew it by not giving me a chance to do that a second time and save that country.

Yes, you're assuming that she will lose, or you're assuming,

especially that Joe Biden hopes she loses.

Well, what you're suggesting, I'm saying that he's so demented that he can really hurt her, but you're saying that he's so bitter that he will hurt her.

Yeah.

And he's saving his October surprises to the very end where she has no chance to recover.

Yeah.

This story, as I said, has legs, you see, because

when you start lying like that, it's, well,

Biden said garbage.

Well,

he's, look at him, he's not sane.

Camela, didn't you know that?

He's not sane.

He's the president.

25th Amendment.

That's one narrative.

The other narrative is, oh my God,

this is really scary.

This guy's done stuff like this before with a hat and saying that I was on every, he's trying to undermine my campaign.

I don't know.

I'm kind of hostage.

I can't really criticize him.

And then the third is, but I'm going to turn the page, move forward, change candidate.

I got to do something.

I only have five days.

Let's get together and see how we dump the guy so that I can

have a day or two of independence before the election day.

So all these narratives are going to keep on going.

And then he's not going to shut up.

As I said, he said that putting Trump in jail.

He's been turkey gobbling again on children.

He's did the Fredo thing about somebody should be taken out for a swim, i.e., not return.

So he's capable.

And I think she's not going to be able to do that.

But the story's not going to die.

And you know what?

It killed the comedian story.

It's just dead now.

They were really getting a lot of traction off it.

I was listening to the newscast this morning.

And

boy, the left-wing fake news or whatever we want to call them, they were going to town on it.

Gosh, Trump is a racist.

This is proof.

This guy must have been coordinating with the DRNC.

The Hispanics are really angry.

I've been talking to them in Pennsylvania.

And that's dead now.

Yeah.

Well, he did seem to have jokes about everybody, Jews, Hispanics.

He did.

And of course, if you were offending 1% of the population, Puerto Ricos, but Puerto Ricans, and if you really stretched it and said there's a pan-Latino coalition, so you were getting up to 15%.

That's bad, but it's not as bad as insulting 51, 50% of the population.

Yeah, that's for sure.

All right, Victor, let's go ahead and take a little break and come back and talk

a little bit more about Kamala and we'll go on to other things.

Stay with us and we'll be right back.

If you're a homeowner, you need to listen to this.

In today's AI and cyber world, scammers are stealing your home titles and your equity is the target.

Here's how it works.

Criminals forge your signature on one document, use a fake notary stamp, pay a small fee with your county, and just like that, your home title has been transferred out of your name.

Then they take out loans using your equity and even sell your property.

And you won't even know what's happened until you get a collection or foreclosure notice.

So, when was the last time you checked on your home title?

If your answer is never, you need to do something about it right now.

Welcome back to the Victor Davis Hansen Show.

Victor is the Martin and Ily Anderson Senior Fellow in Military History and Classics at the Hoover Institution and the Wayne and Marshabuski Distinguished Fellow in History at Hillsdale College.

So Victor, I just wanted to make sure all your listeners heard that Kamala, some of the crazier things Kamala said in her unity speech.

And in particular, she said, I will always tell you the truth.

And I thought, wow, that is the weirdest thing.

Yeah, just as she was lying the whole night.

Yeah, absolutely.

When you have John Bolton, who hates Trump more than any living man on earth, and he says that he was in the meeting, and he did not say

shooters.

And that's really a tragedy of John Kelly, the general who keeps promulgating that story.

He was the only person.

Everybody else said he didn't say it.

And then he doubles down.

And then, you know.

He's now he's saying that Trump is fascist and one of the most dangerous people in the world along with Millie.

It doesn't look good for the military.

It's like, my God, you guys,

don't you have other worries?

We're out of javelins.

We're out of 155 millimeter shells.

We're in a virtual military technological revolution, and we're still building these

very

few platforms of multi-billion dollars, you know, and multi-million dollars.

When the world is going to drones and missiles and cheap and lots, and we're doing few and too costly.

And we're short, $45,000.

And we've got a whole bunch of generals and admirals, and they are going right out of the Pentagon, and they're going right into Raytheon, General Dynamics, Lockheed, Northrop for fantastic sums.

And maybe just maybe those decisions that they're influencing their employers, and the employers want them to influence, or the strategies they're using in this quid-quote pro-relationship with their former subordinates might account for

unwise procurement.

So, we have all of these things that are going on in the military.

So, why is Kelly, why isn't he a senior statesman?

Why is he talking to

Atlantic magazine, Jeffrey Goldberg, one of the most disreputable journalists there is?

Why is he doing this?

And why is Millie, you know, he's quoted by Woodward, and, you you know, Millie, Millie, Millie, you talk to your Chinese counterpart.

In any other country, that would be considered treason to tip him off.

And then you broke the chain of command.

You told the theater commanders they had to report to you when you had no authority to do that.

They don't report to you, they report to the Defense Secretary.

My gosh, you should be worried about all that.

The military, DEI, woke.

Come on.

But,

gosh, they're just mouthing off again and again and again.

It's just like,

I guess Millie and Kelly, they get together with other generals and they think, how can we destroy the reputation of the military?

I know.

We'll be hyper-partisans.

Well, that's not enough.

Let's call the commander-in-chief again,

the candidate to be commander-in-chief.

Let's call him a Nazi.

Let's call him a fascist.

Let's call him a dictator.

Let's say he's the worst person in the world, in history.

I can do better than that.

So they're doing things to the military's reputation.

It's really sad because we all support the military.

Yeah.

And what we see in Israel, juxtapose Israel,

we want our military to be like that.

You know what I mean?

They have high morale.

They have defined missions.

They know when the mission starts and what defines the end.

And they're up against overwhelming odds.

They have superb equipment.

They're light years ahead of everybody else.

We were like that.

Let's get back to it.

Yeah, I wish we would.

It's a big wish.

Well, hopefully, this election will turn out well and Trump can be able to do that.

One thing I want to interject real quickly:

I was thinking of this, so we're not the people of victims, right?

The right, conservative, traditionals, whatever we want to call ourselves.

So I have a confession to make.

I said on Fox the other night, I think Sean asked me,

you know, I was literally, literally in the chair, and they were going to talk on something else, and the person said, 10 seconds before we went on, Victor, you got to do the garbage quote.

Well, I didn't know what the garbage quote is.

It just happened last night.

So I kind of winged it.

I did okay, but they, in my ear, he said, Joe Biden called

Trump supporters garbage.

So my point was, the first thing I said was, I feel, I'm, I don't feel like I'm garbage, but I wanted to say, I don't care.

I don't really feel like a victim.

I don't feel anything that that kind of guy said that about all of us.

Do we care what he says?

No.

I know we want to go, we're so hurt.

That's so awful that he called us, but they've called us everything in the world.

Nazis, chumps, drags.

McCain called us crazies and hobbits.

Remember that?

Yeah, did you see those people that were putting garbage bags on?

That's why I like Americans, man.

They have the weirdest sense of humor.

They don't, you know, it's just so funny what they do.

And that's the perfect Halloween costume.

I don't care what he calls us.

Being called garbage by Joe Biden's a compliment.

Yeah, exactly.

I mean,

compared to Hunter Biden.

Everybody listening, you're saints compared to Hunter Biden.

Me too.

Joe Biden's brightest man he knows.

Is that what he says?

Brightest man is known.

This whole thing is a nightmare.

All right.

I would like to welcome back Hillsdale, one of our favorite sponsors, and take a minute to talk talk about Hillsdale College.

Did you know that Victor is one of the professors in three of the over 40 free online courses at Hillsdale College?

That's right.

American Citizenship and Its Decline, based on his book, The Dying Citizen, How Progressive Elites, Tribalism, and Globalization Are Destroying the Idea of America.

The Second World Wars, based on his book by the same name.

And Athens and Sparta, partly based on his book, A War Like No Other, How the Athenians and Spartans Fought the Peloponnesian War.

The courses are seven to nine episodes long and they are self-paced, so you can take them whenever and wherever.

Go right now to hillsdalecollege.edu backslash Victor Davis Hanson to start it.

It's free and it's easy to get started.

That's hillsdale.edu backslash VDH to start.

Hillsdale.edu backslash BDH.

And thank you, Hillsdale, for sponsoring the Victor Davis Hanson Show.

I'm going to be, you know what, I got a note today from Hillsdale, and they're having a great conference on history and the film in March, and I have to host this military history.

I'm going to try to go

massage it so I can go.

They want me to give a talk on the bridge too far of the Operation Market Garden.

And then to the degree I think that it's represented accurately or not in that Attenborough directed brilliant movie.

I kind of like it.

It got bad reviews.

It's very long.

But I'm looking forward to being back at Hillsdale.

I usually only go, you know, nine or ten days, but this time I'm going to make a special March.

I think it's March.

I think it's March 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, or March 3rd, 4th, 5th.

I'll try to go at least two days.

Yeah.

Even though it's very hard to get there in the late winter.

But

everything they're doing is really creative lately.

They always were, but I mean, they're really hit their full stride.

Yeah, I think so.

And they're being swamped with national attention and admissions and applications.

It's sort of like

finally the world woke up or the country woke up and they said, wow, the Harrelsdale paradigm was right all along.

All the Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, it was all bogus.

It was all dross.

But these places are real.

Yeah.

And they're not turned to anti-education institutions like those other places, which a lot of people are looking for replacements for.

All right.

Victor, I wanted to talk about the polls, and I found two interesting things this week.

One, I'll give you both of them.

You can talk about whichever one you'd like.

Number one, CNN says Harris has been under-polling, and that's not the usual way we see things interpreted.

Usually it's Donald Trump as under-polled.

And two,

Mark Halpern, the political analyst, says that Virginia, Minnesota, New Hampshire, and New Mexico are in play.

And actually, those are my words, but basically that's what it sounds like.

What are your thoughts on either of those?

Well, you know,

it reminds me again, I keep beating this dead horse of 1980, but what I want to point out this time, I haven't before.

So

in mid-October, Reagan was down eight and then he closed the gap after the debate and the last the last poll that was the only debate.

Remember there you go again.

And Carter was kind of like Kamala Harris.

He was kind of shouting, he was frowning, he was angry, he was saying everything was bad.

There you go again.

And he was attacking Reagan personally, which didn't fit his, what, sanctimonious religious facade that he was a man of God, and yet he was much more ad hominem in his attacks than was Reagan.

He wasn't loving his enemies.

No, he wasn't.

He was not.

Just like Camilla Harris is not a unifier, just like Joe Biden wasn't.

But my point is the last

Gallup poll had him up three

and then there was just a sense that he lost five points and now it was

even though he was up by three in the Gallup, we didn't have a lot of polls then,

you know, 45 years ago or whatever, but you got the sense that Reagan, so they I remember they interviewed Pat Cadell and they said there's a Reagan momentum.

And

we think that the internal polls, the last 48 hours, show that Reagan has not only closed the gap, but he's ahead.

And Pat Cadell said something like, and I met Pat Cadell and really liked him in later years.

But

he said something that was really interesting.

He said, oh, no, no, no, they're underpolling.

They always underpoll Democrats.

They're underpolling Carter.

In fact, they were overpolling him.

So my point is that I think that's a standard response when they look at those internal polls.

Now, why would I say that?

They wouldn't be shifting resources from North Carolina to Virginia.

They're ahead in Virginia.

But

if they were shifting resources from North Carolina to Virginia, then it would be because they're behind in Virginia and they're ahead, so far ahead in North Carolina, they don't need it.

No, they're shifting it because they're behind North Carolina and their internal polls say they can't win it.

And I mean internal polls that are specific, Latino groups, black groups, Asian women, men, they don't have the numbers that they need to win that.

So then they look at Virginia and they have an alternate pathway to 270 and Virginia is absolutely central.

And while they're still ahead, at the rate they're losing, in seven days they will lose that state.

So they're putting resources in there.

So the idea that

Kamala Harris's wife, as the CNN said, is way ahead.

And

he's underpolling.

She's underpolling.

It's just ridiculous.

It is.

They wouldn't be doing this.

Yeah.

And there wouldn't be this sense

of

gaiety and happiness.

I think it's, I'm kind of worried about overconfidence in the Trump people in depression

in the Harris.

They didn't, you know, even if they, if you were out there and feel that the mail in validate and they master and they have machinations that will help them, they wouldn't be so depressed.

They are depressed, they really are, and they're angry.

Every time I try to channel Surf to see what the other side does, I can't watch it because it's kind of hard to watch.

But you look at

Zaczinski

and you look at Joe Scarborough, her husband,

Morning Joe or whatever it's called, and then you look at the Joy Reed and you look at Rachel Maddow and then you look at the view, they're all angry.

I mean they're angry people anyway, but they're just really angry.

And they have these

they kind of remind me of the people

you know, when they know they're losing and they're all in a room together and they're just they can't face reality.

Fantasy.

I don't know if they're really losing, but I don't think that

they're underpolled.

I really don't.

This is going to hurt them a pointer to the garbage thing.

But of course, you know,

it changed everything in 48 hours.

Something could be changed in the next 48 hours.

Yeah, you know,

I was reading, I'm sorry, I can't remember where this was, but I was reading some article where they were talking about all of this anger and suggesting that Trump is the source of all the

Nazism, etc., all that name-calling, is setting the ground for what they're going to do if

Kamala loses.

And that they're it.

The reason I didn't talk about it is it did seem sort of conspiracy-like, but do you think that they're

making some

background or some groundwork?

So, if Kamala loses, they can do what?

There's nothing they can do.

Oh, I think they'll try to

be riots.

There'll be like there was on Inauguration Day with Madonna talking about blowing up the White House.

Then there was, they arrested 200 people in Washington, D.C.

on January 20th of 2021.

And of course, we saw what BLM and Antifa did for 120 days.

So that's going to be a lot of outrage.

And there's not going to be Trump in office.

It's going to be Biden.

And everybody knows that Biden will not call out the National Guard.

Or if he was,

maybe Tim Waltz's daughter again would warn everybody in a tweet, huh?

Yeah, exactly.

Cole, go to it.

I got it on good authority.

No National Guard tonight.

Or maybe Tim Waltz's wife would say, you know, it's been a while since I rolled down the window and smelled that burning tires.

Or maybe Camela says, hmm, this isn't going to stop, nor should it stop.

It's a movement.

And maybe she'll open a website and try to bail out people that riot.

That's the spontaneous, but what you're suggesting is a group of people who cooked up the steel dossier and got the CIA, the Obama administration, the FBI involved, and then it was a total bogus, but it did ruin 22 months of the Trump administration with that clown, Robert Mueller, and then the Russian disinformation, which

I think that one Republican poll said made a difference.

Aaron Powell, yeah, for example, they could work with those judges to try to actually jail him or something.

Work with the judges?

Well, they would never say they're working with the judges, but

wait, wait, wait.

Judge Murshan gave money to the Democratic Party, and his daughter is making a fortune as a consultant.

Yeah, so they're saying.

And the other judge, what was his name?

Gorgon or whatever.

Yeah.

He was a joke.

They were all working with him.

The DOJ appointed Jack Smith the day, as I said, that Nathan Wade met with their own counsel.

council, and that's the same day that co-Angelo, we,

what, you gave up the third highest position to go to work for a buffoon like Alvin Bragg?

It was all coordinated.

Yeah, so you're working into my argument here, which is that they might try to try to jail Trump for some extension.

Okay, and then one state says that they want to get him off the ballot, and then the next state, and all of a sudden, 16 states magically say we want to get him off the ballot.

Yes, it's coordinated.

Yeah, I know.

It's like the same thing.

One day, Tim,

post-election, though.

They nominate J.D.

Vance.

They dig up Cat Lady, so they get this idea they're weird.

Camela says, they're weird.

Tim Walton, they're weird.

Joy Reed, they're weird.

And it was just, that's what they do.

The left wing gets a party line.

Yeah.

And yeah, so

they are going to,

I don't know what they're doing.

They always coordinate.

They always coordinate.

Yeah.

And so the post-election, Donald Trump wins, the scenario of them working super hard to get these judges and juries to throw him in jail.

Nothing in the Constitution says a president cannot be present from jail.

That's cool.

And if he's in a garbage truck or he's at McDonald's, he's perfectly willing to get a laptop from jail.

And the guards would probably play poker with him.

You know what I mean?

Yeah.

And

he would be more.

Every time they've done this, he's become more popular.

So the idea of a president in jail is not going to shock anybody.

No, it's not.

That's the thing they don't understand.

They kept saying, he's a felon.

If we convict him, just one of these four, we can say that he's a convicted felon.

And that's the shame.

They didn't realize that nobody takes them seriously because these were lawfare ruses.

They were all fabricated.

So when they say he's a convicted felon, they say, yeah, but convicted by you, it doesn't mean anything.

No one took him seriously except convicted felons who said, Cool, let's vote for Donald Trump.

Wow, that wanted poster or that mugshot or whatever it was.

Everybody said, nah,

that's the best picture I've ever seen of him.

And then the, you know, fight, fight, fight with his ear.

I mean, look.

What did that one comedian say?

He's got 43 counts and three mama babies.

I kind of like the guy.

Yes, he has three wives, three mama babies.

Five children, one, two, three, four, five children by, yeah, five children by three different women.

Wait, I think we said it backwards.

Isn't baby mamas, that's right.

Baby mamas.

So

I don't know.

I think that he's a Nietzschean figure, that anything that doesn't kill him makes him stronger.

And that's what the polls show.

Ron DeSantis had a big lead.

He ran a pretty good campaign.

He was a solid guy.

And every time they indicted Trump, Trump went to some little store in New York and met everybody, and everybody got,

they loved him.

Then Robert De Niro would get mad and say, he's an animal.

He's the F-word.

And then people would boo Robert De Niro.

I don't think they get it.

They don't.

They don't get it.

They don't.

Well, let's take a break and come back and talk a little bit about Bibi Netanyahu.

Stay with us and we'll be right back.

So you just got back from summer vacation.

and other articles.

And there is an article currently on there about Bibi Netanyahu this week.

and it's called The Ordeal and Triumph of Mr.

Netanyahu.

And Victor, I was wondering if you could talk about what was the ordeal and triumph of Netanyahu post-October 7th of last year.

Well, if you looked at his polls after October 7th and the ensuing two or three months, they were very shaky.

30%, 40%, everybody said he had to have a coalition government.

The United States government under the Biden administration was trying to overthrow him.

They really were.

They were talking to his high military advisors.

They were talking to the opposition.

They were trashing him when he came to the United States.

Nobody met with him from the administration.

They put a hold on 2,000-pound bombs.

They kept using the word genocide just as, you know, when that person interrupted her speech and said it was genocide, she goes, he's real, he's real.

So they were very hostile, the United States, and yet they were very dependent, Israel was, for replacement parts and munitions.

And then people said, well, you know, the Netanyahu government, and I don't know the accuracy, I kind of doubt it, but they said they tried to play Hamas off against the Palestinian Authority, and so they were downplaying the lethal toxicity of Hamas.

And then Hamas played Netanyahu by saying they wanted peace when they were planning this attack.

this murderous attack.

So they blamed him for that.

They blamed him, remember, for the Supreme Court reforms.

They had a million people out there demonstrating.

Nobody blamed, in this country, they didn't blame the left, but they were saying, oh, soldiers are not showing up for their reservist duty.

I think that was exaggerated.

But the point was, they said, whether you believe us or not, the Hamas, Hezbollah, Iranian Axis did.

They thought, see, this is not the generation that built Israel.

These are soft, affluent, and leisured.

I had another nice note from a very wise guy from Israel today, and he pointed out something that I think we should all remember.

This generation of Israelis is not the baby boomers.

It's not

General X.

They have a renewed commitment to defend.

They are marvelous fighters.

They're volunteering to go into the worst places.

Kind of remind me of the...

When I was in bedded twice in Iraq, the kids over there, they were amazing.

You know what I mean?

They were just lethal fighters fighters just to watch them, talk to them.

And so

my point is, he was not popular and everybody thought he would bow out, but he didn't.

And when he said he was going to destroy Hamas, they said, you can't destroy Hamas.

How can you destroy an idea?

You cannot.

Well, you destroyed Soviet communism, right?

That's an ideology.

You destroyed...

Italian fascism, German Nazism.

You do it by overwhelming disproportionate force and humiliation.

So then he went in there and they said, you can't do it because Hamas is under hospitals and mosques and schools.

He said, you know what?

After October 7th, what else are they going to do to us?

They're going to call us names?

Who cares?

They killed 12,000 people.

They masturbated.

They did every medieval imaginable thing, unimaginable thing in the world.

And that kind of gave him a blank check of moral authority.

So he went in and he really did destroy Hamas.

And most of the people who organized that attack are now dead.

Then they said, Hezbollah is the SS of the Middle East.

You don't understand.

Hezbollah is 100,000 strong.

Look at them.

They have uniforms.

They're paramilitaries.

And they've hijacked the whole government of Lebanon.

They have not just 100, 120, they have 150,000 rockets.

Don't you understand, Mr.

Netanyahu?

They're making a ring of fire around you.

Over to the south, they have the Houthis.

They're armed.

They're going to send rockets against you.

They're going to blockade the

Red Sea and shut off the commerce to Israel.

And then you have Hamas, and now you have Hezbollah, and they're going to send these rockets, and they're going to do raids just like Hamas did.

And then there's Iran.

You're surrounded.

It was like telling Churchill in 1940, France is gone, Winston.

It's now June 25th.

There's nobody there.

All of Western Europe is under German control.

Russia, you thought it was going to be your ally, they're on the side of the Nazis under the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.

There's little Yugoslavia and Greece are just about ready to be devoured.

The Italians are running wild.

There is no more French navy.

Do you think the United States is going to help you?

They're isolationists.

He's assembled a Japanese-Italian axis.

And you're an old man, and

look what, all we remember you is Gallipoli.

And what did Churchill say?

We'll fight on the beaches, We'll fight anywhere.

And he would not give up.

And he

rallied the troops.

The United States said, we can count on that guy.

He'll fight.

And that's what Netanyahu did.

And then he did,

they said, you cannot deal with Iran, man.

They probably got the bomb.

They got hypersonic missiles.

It's, gosh, it's 10 times larger than...

Your population.

It's more than that.

And it's huge.

It's an ancient culture.

They're crazy.

They hate Jews.

They call you a one-bomb state they say it's good that half the Jews in the world are in Israel because you can get them get rid of them in one one strike so don't be careful mr.

Netanyahu

and what did he do he after the pagers came off bam bam bam bam years in advance bam bam bam walkie talkies and it was like okay

Now everybody in Lebanon and everybody in Israel knows who the terrorists are because no one carries a pager or a walkie-talkie.

Those are ossified, archaic devices.

When they blew up, that was like putting a sign on that person's back.

And it also told us what were they doing at that moment of their demise?

Inspecting a missile site and a tunnel?

So they just gave the Israeli like a blueprint with little dots, you know, 2,000, 3,000 dots of where everything was.

And so then he turned his attention.

500 projectiles Israel sent at Iran,

excuse me, Iran sent to Israel.

They only replied with three because of U.S.

pressure.

But then everybody said, well, you can't deal with their hypersonic.

They've got the most sophisticated Russian anti-aircraft.

The Saudis won't let you go over their airspace.

How are you going to get in there?

It's 1,500 kilometers.

You're going to have to refuel.

And even if you wanted to hit the nuclear sites, you don't have a B-1 or B-2.

You don't have a bomber that can carry a 15,000-pound bomb.

You can't do this.

So it was all no, no, no.

And he was going to, and then he just said, you know what, they're paper tigers.

We'll knock every missile down,

and then we will be proportionate to remind them.

But then we'll take out some of their leaders and their surrogates.

And they did.

So it was kind of a funny thing that even liberal papers started having these kind of little games where they'd show all the photographs of the hierarchies of Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Iranians.

And then they had a little X on them.

Remember that weird movie?

It was about ICE.

What was it about?

Those drug dealers in Colorado cold something.

And it was about a drug dealer, a Native American guy, it was a remake of a Swedish movie.

And it was about these drug dealers and Lynn Nelson.

Cold Pursuit.

Yes.

And

every time someone got taken out, they stopped the movie and they show a little diagram with their X on it.

That's what he did.

And so they got

rid of most of the terrorist hierarchy.

And Hezbollah then was what?

The fiercest?

No, they weren't.

They went right into Lebanon, the graveyard of Israeli armies.

You can't go.

He did.

He went in there.

And they found a trove of humanitarian, tunnels, arsenals.

And now they did reply to Iraq.

And everybody's kind of angry.

They say, see, Netanyahu, he let them restrain him.

No, he didn't.

He really didn't.

What he did was brilliant.

Think about it.

It's multifaceted.

He attacked before the election.

And so he was telling Harris and Biden, you can't stop me.

But I'm not going to embarrass you.

I'm not going to hit the nuclear sites and then hit the oil and spike the oil right before your election and lose her and get blamed for it.

So this is what I'm going to do.

I'm going to kind of give you credit for restraining me.

But I'm still going to make the point that you didn't restrain me and that Israel has its own destiny in its own hands, not you.

So what I'm going to do is I'm going to go in there and take out their most sophisticated anti-aircraft batteries and anti-missile batteries, and I'm going to hit military installations, some of which I think, as news trickles out, had nuclear affiliations.

And we're going to go all over the country and do it.

And the lesson he was telling the world was these people have no, they didn't, they weren't weren't very good anyway, and now they have no ability, none, to stop me doing this anytime I want.

Two, they have no ability.

If I want to take out the next Nasrala, we can do it tomorrow.

If I want to take out Khamenei, I can do that tomorrow.

They have no ability.

They're completely infiltrated by Mossad agents.

We know everything they're doing.

They have no Air Force.

They took off and flew the other direction.

They have no anti-aircraft batteries.

And if they so much as sneeze after 500 of their missiles hit us,

and after I complied with the Biden administration on two occasions, it'd be proportionate, and especially if Donald Trump wins the election, I can take out the entire nuclear facility and I can hit their oil, and they know it.

So they have a sword of Damocles over their throat.

This big, powerful, invincible, master terrorist of the whole Middle East with its surrogates.

The surrogates are in disarray, and the mothership is terrified.

So he really changed the image of the terrorist.

It was before Netanyahu did this.

It was the Nasrallah's, Sinwar, Khomeini.

They get a big crowd, they shake their hand, death to Israel killed.

Their Zionist entity will be killed.

We're going to kill them.

We're going to do this.

And then,

and all these cadres of fierce-looking people, AR,

you know,

you know, coalition of cops, everybody's supposed to RPGs, everything.

AK-47s.

And then he's basically said, paper tiger.

We're not afraid of them.

We just destroyed Hamas.

You thought Hamas was the most fearsome of all the terrorists on the West Bank?

They're gone.

Hezbollah, we went right into their nest.

We went right into Beirut.

What are you going to do about it?

We took out Nasrallah.

Iran, we're supposed to shake in our boots because they sent five.

they didn't even hurt us.

And you know what?

They're going to pay a big price.

But before we do that, we're not going to humiliate our ally.

We're going to try to instruct our ally that this is what we're capable of.

So when our ally comes to its senses, maybe they will want to use us and supply us and do the job right and take out this nuclear threat that Europe doesn't want, the United States doesn't want, Japan doesn't want.

None of the Western world wants Iran to be nuclear.

And you know what?

China and Russia will be,

you know, they were useful for a while and they're gone.

They don't have a nuclear component.

That's they're in our neighborhood.

That's kind of a good thing.

So, to finish, Netanyahu did more for the European Union and the United States than CIA, FBI,

DOJ,

Interpol, NATO have done against terrorism together in 100 years.

He did more himself.

And that's what the article was about.

So the comparison to Churchill, I think, is apt.

And you know, it's comeback is politically, he's 75 years old.

He's been the longest serving prime minister, 16 years.

If Donald Trump wins this election, I'm not going to

speculate.

That will be a Churchillian comeback.

Churchill was supposedly washed up at 65 after Gallipoli and flip-flipping parties, and they said he was all done.

Winston's, no, he's done.

And that five years was just amazing

at 65.

And so

if he gets, handles the Iran thing, it'll be the same thing.

And if Donald Trump is elected after having a 25% approval rating after January 6th, and facing most people would have had a nervous breakdown or physical collapse to say to themselves, oh my god, Letita James is going to rob me of 75 million.

Egypt Carroll is going to rob me of $75 million.

Letita James is going to take $300 million.

I'm going to be broke.

I don't have that kind of cash.

They want to put me in jail, Jack Smith and Fannie Will.

And they're all lying.

Everybody's attacking me.

And I'm being primaried by DeSantis.

I'm being primaried by Nikki Haley.

They're ahead of me in the poll.

I quit.

That's what they would have said.

Not him.

He was indestructible.

And if he pulls this off, it is the greatest political comeback, much more, even greater than Richard Nixon's after his defeat in California in 1962 to Edmund Brown.

Yeah, so I know I didn't prep you for this, but can I ask you, what are you?

This is our Friday show and our Saturday one, anything could happen on it.

But for this Friday show, I'd like to conclude with:

what are you going to be looking for on Tuesday evening as you watch the polls come in?

Some things maybe you can think of.

Is Tyrus going to be right?

At 10.30, we're going to know.

How will we know at 10.30 that

I think the voting in Georgia will be very quick, and North Carolina will be very quick.

If he wins North Carolina, I think he will.

It's close, but he'll win.

And if he wins Georgia,

and I think he'll win Arizona this time.

So that will put him on a trajectory that will make it very hard for her.

And if he should win Nevada, he's ahead by one point, and Pennsylvania is all over.

All he'll have to do of those three states is win Pennsylvania.

Yeah, so you're going to look for his lead in all of those places.

Yes, and then I'm going to,

in the next seven days, as I said, I'm going to look at the polls very carefully in Virginia, New Hampshire, and

Minnesota,

New Mexico,

and I'm going to look and see if he's still creeping out.

And I'm going to look at the margin of gain, if there's still a sustained gain.

I don't really think he's going to take those states, but some of them are so close to those swing states, and the demography is not that much different.

That if he's making three and four and five-point headways in these blue states, then he's got to be making these same headways.

So I would think that maybe the last polls come the weekend.

He could be two or three points ahead in the swing.

If he is, he's going to win.

But it also depends on he's got to be disciplined.

He's got to be careful because he's got empathy coming for him.

When he says she's a low IQ, low IQ, low IQ.

People don't like the word IQ.

No.

They don't, especially with low, because it's got a bad taste to it.

He should just say, you know what?

She's incompetent.

She may have a lot.

I don't know what her test is, but she has an animal cunning.

She really does.

This is somebody who had no natural talent and somehow went from

going nowhere as an attorney general.

She almost lost that election to vice president.

That takes some skill.

Yeah.

Well, last.

In a Machiavellian sense.

Yeah, exactly.

Well, the last thing then is a reader comment, and this will take us into our Saturday show.

He says, I can't wait for VDH to give his insight on the winter war in Russia.

In today's podcast, I learned it was the coldest winter in 50 years.

That, to me, is God's handiwork.

And he got five stars from him.

We ended up with the German Army stalled right during at the date of Pearl Harbor at the first train station, first I should say, subway station.

In Moscow, yeah.

Yeah, they never got further.

So what happens, we're going to go, it's not just that the German army collapsed, it did not.

It fought amazingly well in 42, 43, and 44.

The problem was its numerical advantage of 41 dissipated very quickly.

And then no one has any idea of the amount of material the United States sent.

It was overwhelming.

And

most recent research says it was a lot more than the Russians let on.

And it was Anglo, too.

Canadian and Britain also gave them.

And then, of course, we started bombing successfully.

And that really, really took the pressure off, especially when they started to withdraw 88 millimeter guns that were so lethal against T-34s and use them as flat guns against our bombers.

And then there was Italy and North Africa, Sicily, and Italy, and it took a lot of pressure off Russia.

And so we'll hear a little bit about that on our weekend episode.

We will.

And I have to be very careful because there's nothing more evil than Nazism, but the individual German soldier, that's a different question.

Whether they fought because they were ideologically brainwashed or they didn't have any, or they were Germans and they'd fought well in every war, I don't know, but

they killed

the Russians had to kill three out of every four soldiers that died.

The German side were killed on the Eastern Front.

And they killed about five,

yes, they killed about five Russians in losing, in defeat.

And on the Western side, in defeat, they killed 1.7 Americans for every American they lost.

Part of it was because they were on the defensive in those years, 43, 44, and 44, but part of it is they were superb soldiers.

They had wonderful equipment, equipment and they were deadly.

And we were just, you know,

we're not a warlike people.

We just got draftees and we said we're going to go fight the most trained killers in the world, the Japanese and the German.

All right, Victor.

Well, thank you very much for that show today.

It was wonderful.

And thanks to your listeners for joining in.

Thank you, everybody.

Much appreciate it.

This is Sammy Wink and Victor Davis Hansen, and we are signing off.

I knew we all had two ages, our actual age and our internal biological age.

What I didn't know is I've likely lowered my biological age without even knowing it.

Here's the thing: because Americans eat so many processed foods and not enough fruits and veggies, many, perhaps most, are 10 plus years older on the inside than their actual age.

They're ticking time bombs.

A major university study suggests how to slow aging and diffuse that biological time balm.

And I encourage you to join me: swap your untested fruit, vegetable, or green drink for Field of Greens.
