Speaker 3 Coach, the energy out there felt different. What changed for the team today?
Speaker 4
It was the new game day scratchers from the California Lottery. Play is everything.
Those games sent the team's energy through the roof.
Speaker 7 Are you saying it was the off-field play that made the difference on the field?
Speaker 4 Hey, a little play makes your day, and today it made the game. That's all for now.
Speaker 5 Coach, one more question.

There's the part of me that everyone sees. I'm Howie Mandel, the comedian.
Apparently, I know what funny is. Funny bought me a house, but I also know what isn't funny.
OCD.
Speaker 18 I've lived with OCD my entire life and people throw the term around like it's no big deal. But OCD is severe, often debilitating.
Speaker 18 It's a mental health condition that involves unrelented, unwanted thoughts that can make you question your character, your beliefs, even your safety.
Speaker 18 General therapy can help with some things, but for OCD, it can actually make things worse. That's why I want to tell you about No C D.
Speaker 18 No C D is the world's largest treatment provider for OCD and is covered by insurance for over 155 million Americans. Their licensed therapists specialize in ERP, the most effective treatment for OCD.
Speaker 18 If you think you might be struggling with OCD, go to nocd.com to book a free 15-minute call. They are here to help.

Speaker 2 Hey, I'm Paige DeSorbo, and I'm always thinking about underwear.
Speaker 21 I'm Hannah Berner, and I'm also thinking about underwear, but I prefer full coverage. I like to call them my granny panties.
Speaker 2 Actually, I never think about underwear. That's the magic of Tommy John.
Speaker 22 Same.
Speaker 21 They're so light and so comfy, and if it's not comfortable, I'm not wearing it.
Speaker 23 And the bras, soft, supportive, and actually breathable.
Speaker 22 Yes, Lord knows the girls need to breathe. Also, I need my PJs to breathe and be buttery soft and stretchy enough for my dramatic tossing and turning at night.

Speaker 27 Game Over
Speaker 27 Part 1 of 3
Speaker 28 This is Ayola Statley, W News, with a breaking report. This morning in an emergency session, several Westport Council members voted to instigate the process of an emergency-free election.
Speaker 28 Polls for President Zhang continue to show wavering support after allegations of mishandling the response to the Westport train attack, along with the rising tensions between Westport and the Republic leadership.
Speaker 28 This would be the only time in her 11-year tenure that President Zhang will likely have to defend her title and position.
Speaker 28 The last-minute challenge came only a day after reports of an infected refugee killing several security officers and two staff at Mata Hospital.
Speaker 28 This would mark the first casualty from an infected inside of Westport's border since its official establishment in 2016.
Speaker 28 The grieving families are laying their loved ones to rest this morning in closed and sealed caskets as a security precaution in Fabre Memorial Park.
Speaker 28 When speaking with them before the service, they had this to say.
Speaker 30 Thank you all for coming here this morning and honoring our fallen heroes.
Speaker 30 What we do is always a constant fight, and their sacrifices will never be forgotten.
Speaker 33 I can't believe she's gone.
Speaker 26 Hope's been with us since the beginning.
Speaker 35 I know.
Speaker 36 I remember her constantly being by my bedside while I recovered from leg surgery in the colony.
Speaker 33 That feels like forever ago.
Speaker 36 This place won't feel the same without her.
Speaker 26 There's just so few of us from the towers left now.
Speaker 33 So many faces here I don't even know.
Speaker 31 I just.
Speaker 33 I just never thought anything like this could happen.
Speaker 33 Neither did did I.
Speaker 3 And what's worse,
Speaker 34 and I know this is awful, awful to think right now, but
Speaker 34 whatever she knew about the journal and Nick,
Speaker 35 that's gone now.
Speaker 29 Don't feel bad.
Speaker 36 Part of me was thinking the same thing.
Speaker 29 What if she knew that one small detail that could have brought Vera home?
Speaker 33 God, it makes it even more painful.
Speaker 31 Have you heard anything from our search party?
Speaker 5 Nothing.
Speaker 36 Last thing I heard was that Mira was following a lead to where Nick may have gone. And since then, it's been completely quiet.
Speaker 36 So now, I'm dealing with two teams missing, all the while having to manage everything else that's been happening.
Speaker 35 Pegs,
Speaker 36 I don't know how much more I can handle. It's just one thing after another.
Speaker 5 My mind is working these problems from every angle, but my heart is struggling while
Speaker 29 Vera's gone.
Speaker 31 Vera's not gone, and neither is Nick or the others.
Speaker 5 We'll find them.
Speaker 36 How can I ever begin to control what happens inside our walls with so much happening on the outside?
Speaker 33 When this was just a colony,
Speaker 29 it was
Speaker 36 a lot easier.
Speaker 5 There's so much more at stake now.
Speaker 5 I know.
Speaker 29 What's going to happen with Michael?
Speaker 29 Now that Hope is...
Speaker 29 Well,
Speaker 26 they assigned another doctor to look after him.
Speaker 26 But with Hope...
Speaker 34 I knew I could trust her no matter what.
Speaker 36 I can make sure Michael still gets the best care possible.
Speaker 39 The best doctor we have.
Speaker 33 Something inside me makes me think I'll be back here.
Speaker 34 With him soon enough.
Speaker 38 Don't think that way.
Speaker 34 I know. I try not to, but...
Speaker 33 he hasn't shown any progress. Michael is a fighter.
Speaker 36 He always has been.
Speaker 5 Yeah.
Speaker 31 But some fights
Speaker 34 you just can't win.
Speaker 40 Pegs! We were gonna head back.
Speaker 5 Did you wanna come with us?
Speaker 41 Go ahead, Dean.
Speaker 2 I'll catch up.
Speaker 42 Take your time.
Speaker 36 I had someone run checks on them again by the way
Speaker 36 and pull the hospital records before I came here Anything Dean Ruth and Mira Mullen
Speaker 26 alibis and background all clear Not a single thing out of order
Speaker 34 So nothing
Speaker 36 but the hospital records those show Dean coming and going at least ten times in the last week Really
Speaker 36 and when he wasn't there, Ruth was.
Speaker 31 What were they doing?
Speaker 36 There's limited surveillance in the medical wings aside from just checking in.
Speaker 29 So
Speaker 38 we don't know.
Speaker 36 But I'm having someone watch now.
Speaker 34 So nothing concrete.
Speaker 5 Great.
Speaker 34 So our only chance now may be finding something in their house.
Speaker 36 Are you sure you want to go back with them?
Speaker 16 You still want to do this?
Speaker 21 Yes.
Speaker 26 What other choice do I have? If they know something about what happened to Nick, I'd do anything to find out.
Speaker 29 Just be careful.
Speaker 5 I will.
Speaker 5 Ma'am,
Speaker 40 you ready?
Speaker 38 Coming.
Speaker 5 Oh my.
Speaker 42 Any comments to the families regarding the attack at the hospital?
Speaker 36 No comment.
Speaker 43 Can we expect more occurrences?
Speaker 30 She just lost a close friend. Give her some space.
Speaker 42 They lost loved ones too. I think they deserve answers.
Speaker 42 What went wrong?
Speaker 43 Can we expect more occurrences? Back up.
Speaker 43 President. Madam President.
Speaker 5 Doesn't matter if you're talking about.
Speaker 43 Just one or two questions. One or two questions.
Speaker 5 Answered or keep them out of press. pressure.
Speaker 5 Sorry about that.
Speaker 35 It's been non-stop all morning.
Speaker 42 I can imagine.
Speaker 33 The people want to know if this could happen again.
Speaker 5 Well,
Speaker 31 can it?
Speaker 38 We don't know yet.
Speaker 38 But we're handling it.
Speaker 36 Whatever infection it was has been contained. Everything has been destroyed.
Speaker 33 Hopefully, this was only a fluke.
Speaker 36 I have a few choice people looking into it, and they'll try to piece together where exactly that man came from and how he got like that.
Speaker 26 So no one else knows what we saw at the hospital.
Speaker 36 Only those who need to from disease control.
Speaker 36 I don't want to cause a panic. Not until we understand more and not to add on to everything else going on.
Speaker 35 The best best I can do is try to protect our people.
Speaker 5 So maybe it's not my job anymore.
Speaker 41 What could anyone else do that you haven't?
Speaker 34 Westport will keep believing in you.
Speaker 5 I do.
Speaker 5 You are the best and only person for the job.
Speaker 36 I don't even know if I believe in that anymore.
Speaker 42 CJ,
Speaker 5 you will pull through this.
Speaker 29 Thanks, Peggs.
Speaker 44 Madam President, sorry about that.
Speaker 30 Your transportation is waiting.
Speaker 1 It's all right, Dora.
Speaker 33 It's to be expected.
Speaker 30 I'll be right there.
Speaker 31 I'm gonna get going.
Speaker 35 Dean and Ruth are giving me a ride home.
Speaker 33 Stay safe, okay?
Speaker 35 You have my emergency contact if you need it.
Speaker 36 You sure you don't want security to follow you?
Speaker 5 No, no.
Speaker 35 That could tip them off.
Speaker 5 I'll be fine.
Speaker 34 They have had plenty of opportunities to do something, and they haven't.
Speaker 34 Who knows?
Speaker 5 We could be completely wrong about the whole thing.
Speaker 5 Right.
Speaker 36 Keep me posted.
Speaker 31 Bye, Pegs.
Speaker 5 Bye.
Speaker 40 Are you ready?
Speaker 5 Yeah.
Speaker 34 Sorry I took so long.
Speaker 31 This whole thing just there's no need to be.
Speaker 40 I'm sorry.
Speaker 45 Hope was something special.
Speaker 40 I know I didn't spend a lot of time with her,
Speaker 5 but um
Speaker 40 I thought we had a good connection.
Speaker 40 I'm
Speaker 46 just gonna miss joking around with her.
Speaker 5 I know.
Speaker 5 Me too.
Speaker 34 Let's just go home.
Speaker 40 Ruth's pulling the car around.
Speaker 28 This way.
Speaker 30 Let me get the door, CJ.
Speaker 47 President Zhang.
Speaker 47 Now a good time to talk?
Speaker 35 Now?
Speaker 28 Sergeant Hoggs.
Speaker 26 Not exactly.
Speaker 30 If you don't mind, we can make an appointment, Michael.
Speaker 47 Sorry, I don't think this can wait.
Speaker 47 And if you don't mind, it's Command Sergeant Major now. I've been promoted to the head of Westport's military.
Speaker 30 You're who the counselors chose to replace Michael?
Speaker 47 Someone had to.
Speaker 47 Even if he does recover, I doubt he'd ever be fit for duty.
Speaker 36 You ran a hell of a training center for the Guardians.
Speaker 48 I look forward to working with you.
Speaker 47 Likewise.
Speaker 47 Which is why I'm here. We have a lot to discuss.
Speaker 35 Why not?
Speaker 36 Get in.
Speaker 36 Hmm.
Speaker 5 Traveling well.
Speaker 47 Even during a fuel shortage.
Speaker 26 You expect her to walk out there in the open
Speaker 10 with everything going on and with her leg?
Speaker 1 It's all right, Dora.
Speaker 36 Let's just cut to the chase. Where are we at, Sergeant Major?
Speaker 47 Regarding the situation with the Republic, we've stationed troops at all our forward outposts, just like Michael wanted.
Speaker 47 Since then, we have been stockpiling on munitions and supplies, or whatever is available.
Speaker 47 But
Speaker 5 but what?
Speaker 5 Well,
Speaker 47 all the alternative rail lines to the UA have been cut off by the Republic. We aren't getting resupplied anytime soon from our East Coast allies.
Speaker 10 Can't we just ship them in by boat?
Speaker 5 That's a hell of a long way to go around South America.
Speaker 47 And none of our Pacific trade partners have the kinds of munitions we need to stand a chance against a military assault.
Speaker 47 Meanwhile, the Republic continues to move their heavy armor into their newly annexed land.
Speaker 38 Bringing them closer to us.
Speaker 27 Exactly.
Speaker 47 We sent what cargo vessels we could for supplies to other ports, but many of those have been repeatedly hit and ransacked.
Speaker 5 By whom?
Speaker 47 Pirates.
Speaker 47 We don't have enough of a navy or extra troops right now to defend both sides of the border.
Speaker 38 Well, then, we need to call in favors from the Pacific trade partners.
Speaker 10 Maybe they can help support with navy ships, troops, or I've already asked.
Speaker 47 Most of them would rather spend resources defending their own borders against infected.
Speaker 47 And the others...
Speaker 5 Well...
Speaker 5 Well, what?
Speaker 47 Frankly, they aren't sure who's going to end up on top after all this settles.
Speaker 5 On top?
Speaker 6 What does that mean?
Speaker 48 They think the Republic is going to win this.
Speaker 47
Their city-state has been stockpiling weapons for years. Not to mention their whole society is based around military service.
Not hard to see why our trade partners will start to get cold feet.
Speaker 5 Of course.
Speaker 36 Republic citizens have no other way of life.
Speaker 36 This place is different.
Speaker 36 We are not them.
Speaker 47 There might be
Speaker 5 other options.
Speaker 5 And what's that?
Speaker 47 What if there was any way to negotiate?
Speaker 5 I mean, what do they even want?
Speaker 36 Every time we've tried communicating with their leadership lately, we've received no response.
Speaker 36 But I know what they want. It's what they've always wanted.
Speaker 5 New Rotterdam.
Speaker 33 They want our shipping port to the Pacific.
Speaker 36 Then they want our farms, our resources, and our people.
Speaker 36 All 350,000 of them.
Speaker 11 Do you know what it's like to live in the Republic?
Speaker 5 No, I don't.
Speaker 5 Never been.
Speaker 29 Well, I have.
Speaker 25 It's like the old colony before CJ.
Speaker 48 You weren't there then,
Speaker 45 but
Speaker 48 there wasn't a lot of living going on.
Speaker 36 I wanted to make this place different.
Speaker 35 And we will not compromise that.
Speaker 36 You understand?
Speaker 47 I'm only telling you what's going on and where we are.
Speaker 36 And everything you do is...
Speaker 41 appreciated.
Speaker 47 I'll do what I can.
Speaker 47 Whatever is best for Westport,
Speaker 47 you be sure to do the same.
Speaker 33 What is that supposed to mean?
Speaker 47 Keep its interest in hand for the longevity of this place.
Speaker 5 No matter what.
Speaker 24 Is that all, Command Sergeant Major?
Speaker 47 That's all for now.
Speaker 47 You can drop me off here. I can walk the rest of the way to the IC.
Speaker 5 Driver, pull over.
Speaker 5 Good day, Madam President.
Speaker 36 This day will never end,
Speaker 36 and it just started.
Speaker 48 Never missed Michael so much in my life.
Speaker 48 Who knows what Hoggs will do with our military.
Speaker 35 You don't trust him?
Speaker 10 I don't like his attitude.
Speaker 48 But honestly, I have no idea.
Speaker 48 Well,
Speaker 16 I am still president.
Speaker 38 For however much longer.
Speaker 36 I can't let this place down.
Speaker 48 You never would.
Speaker 49 Ever.
Speaker 39 I guess.
Speaker 3 I've had to deal with worse.
Speaker 36 But honestly, this
Speaker 36 would be a hell of a lot easier if I only knew
Speaker 29 where my daughter was.
Speaker 29 Vera. Hey.
Speaker 5 Vera, wake up.
Speaker 5 Hey, it's me. Oh.
Speaker 50 Sorry, Lisa.
Speaker 5 Sorry.
Speaker 16 I forgot where I was for a second there.
Speaker 51 I didn't want to wake you.
Speaker 51 Let you sleep for a while, but I think we need to get moving.
Speaker 5 You've been up for long?
Speaker 51 I had a hard time sleeping. Been keeping an eye out.
Speaker 33 See anything?
Speaker 5 Not really.
Speaker 51 It's been quiet.
Speaker 51 Feels pretty safe on this rooftop.
Speaker 41 Almost don't want to leave, but I know we can't stay here forever.
Speaker 38 I know what you mean.
Speaker 50 Just give me a second to wake up and gather my things.
Speaker 51 River gives you life.
Speaker 51 The river gives you life.
Speaker 49 It's not exactly the best clue.
Speaker 50 You still think we should head to the source?
Speaker 51 Seems like the best option.
Speaker 49 Unless you have a better idea?
Speaker 50 Following the river is probably our best bet to keep safe. It gives us an escape route.
Speaker 50 I don't think we'd be able to do much to those bulls if we went against them head-on.
Speaker 51 There's still another kind of infected here, right? That's what I'm careful what you say.
Speaker 52 In case someone's listening,
Speaker 29 who knows where they might have cameras or mics in here?
Speaker 50 We're not supposed to know anything.
Speaker 50 Oh,
Speaker 50 yeah.
Speaker 50 Here.
Speaker 50 Take your pistol.
Speaker 37 It's all clean.
Speaker 39 Thanks.
Speaker 51 So, just
Speaker 51 rappel down from here.
Speaker 5 Yeah.
Speaker 7 I'll climb down after you.
Speaker 50 I'll try and cut the rope and save what we can.
Speaker 51 If you say so,
Speaker 52 here goes.
Speaker 52 Well,
Speaker 52 there's no good way to do this.
Speaker 52 Here, get ready, catch the bag.
Speaker 5 Oops, nice catch.
Speaker 5 Whatever.
Speaker 23 I'll lure my katana with the rope. Can you at least make sure that doesn't fall?
Speaker 9 Sure.
Speaker 23 Sorry.
Speaker 23 Okay.
Speaker 44 I'll climb down the rest of the way. Save what rope we can.
Speaker 23 Wait right there.
Speaker 38 I have to go around.
Speaker 53 Just be careful.
Speaker 43 Always.
Speaker 5 Of course.
Speaker 5 You can do anything.
Speaker 5 Vera.
Speaker 5 Vera! I think.
Speaker 33 I think something's out there.
Speaker 5 Vera?
Speaker 5 Shit! Shit! Shit!
Speaker 5 Oh no!
Speaker 5 Oh!
Speaker 5 Easy with that! There's something out there.
Speaker 39 I heard it.
Speaker 39 Where?
Speaker 33 Over near the the tall grass.
Speaker 33 Follow me.
Speaker 5 Stay close.
Speaker 5 Should we cross back over the river?
Speaker 10 I don't know if we make it to the water before it gets to us.
Speaker 5
Oh, shit. Oh, shit.
Shhh!
Speaker 42 Focus! And watch.
Speaker 5 Only shoot if you have to.
Speaker 42 More will come to us if you do.
Speaker 42 Great.
Speaker 42 This is just great.
Speaker 42 Wait.
Speaker 36 I see it now.
Speaker 54 What is.
Speaker 54 Oh.
Speaker 5 There's a dog.
Speaker 5 Is that a
Speaker 39 coyote?
Speaker 5 Yeah.
Speaker 53 Thank God, because for a moment there, I.
Speaker 53 Another one.
Speaker 33 I saw a dog.
Speaker 5 That was...
Speaker 5 They were skinwalkers.
Speaker 5 Remember?
Speaker 33 These infected use the skins of the coyotes to hide.
Speaker 33 Disguise themselves.
Speaker 39 I know, it just...
Speaker 5 I couldn't tell.
Speaker 39 Wearing animals-like clothes, but they move and sound like them too.
Speaker 33 They may have been alone.
Speaker 33 Are they scouts?
Speaker 33 Look around.
Speaker 5 Do you see anymore?
Speaker 51 They could be anything, right?
Speaker 53 I don't even know what to look for. If they can blend in, who knows when they might just- You need to pay attention.
Speaker 25 We can't make any mistakes in here.
Speaker 17 One, and we're done.
Speaker 5 Of course.
Speaker 5 It's clear.
Speaker 50 We should get moving.
Speaker 50 What?
Speaker 50 What happened to your pistol?
Speaker 51 It...
Speaker 51 it fell in the mud when they jumped at us.
Speaker 25 I just finished cleaning that.
Speaker 5 Give it to me
Speaker 44 Drop your gun in the middle of a conflict?
Speaker 52 I mean, come on.
Speaker 44 Can you do any of this?
Speaker 39 I'm trying.
Speaker 53 You understand that, right?
Speaker 44
There's no possible way I can do all of this on my own. You understand that, right? I need a partner in here.
I can't be dragging along dead weight.
Speaker 52 What?
Speaker 41 I'm not. I'm...
Speaker 53 I'm doing the best I can. What the hell do you expect from me?
Speaker 5 Better.
Speaker 44 You're a guardian, right? You graduated, took the combat course?
Speaker 23 Of course I did. And I remember a lot of it, but who the hell would be prepared for shit like this?
Speaker 44 You take what you're given and you adjust.
Speaker 50 It's what any good soldier does.
Speaker 5 Uh-huh.
Speaker 53 Well, we all can't be like you.
Speaker 53 Not everyone is qualified to be the great Vera Zhang.
Speaker 50 What is that supposed to mean?
Speaker 39 It means stop being an ass.
Speaker 53 I'm your partner, not your subordinate. You might be able to do more and know more than me, but it doesn't mean that I can't do anything.
Speaker 23 Our lives are both at stake here.
Speaker 23 I am sorry, okay?
Speaker 39 I didn't mean to say that. I'm trying.
Speaker 1 I swear I am.
Speaker 53 I'm in this just as much as you.
Speaker 39 I'm just scared.
Speaker 39 Is that okay?
Speaker 44 You don't think I am too?
Speaker 39 You don't look
Speaker 6 And I hide it well.
Speaker 50 Been burying it behind my focus, which is directed at getting us out of here and as fast as possible.
Speaker 51 Then we should get moving.
Speaker 49 At least we know where to go now, right?
Speaker 50 Or where we think we need to go.
Speaker 49 We don't have any other waypoints, do we?
Speaker 16 That's all we have.
Speaker 49 Then lead the way.
Speaker 29 Sword in front.
Speaker 38 We'll follow the river.
Speaker 50 I'm guessing it's probably going to take us to those cliffs over there.
Speaker 51 More climbing?
Speaker 5 A lot more.
Speaker 50 The river starts beyond that.
Speaker 53 They wouldn't make getting to these clues easy, would they?
Speaker 26 Probably harder the further we get.
Speaker 5 Great.
Speaker 45 Wait.
Speaker 5 Turn around.
Speaker 49 Why?
Speaker 16 We should take the furs from the skinwalkers.
Speaker 5 What?
Speaker 39 Gross.
Speaker 39 Do you really want to?
Speaker 44 I mean, they might come in handy.
Speaker 8 Help us blend in.
Speaker 52 Help me clean them off.
Speaker 44 Take some of their little ropes and ornaments too.
Speaker 50 Put it in our bag.
Speaker 49 I can't believe they made all of this.
Speaker 6 Can't underestimate what they're capable of now.
Speaker 5 Oh
Speaker 5 god.
Speaker 53 Oh, and you thought the fish were bad.
Speaker 53 Oh shit.
Speaker 6 You don't think that's Nick or Alex's arena?
Speaker 5 I don't know.
Speaker 51 I sure hope not.
Speaker 51 Please, Nick.
Speaker 5 Please be alright.

Speaker 8 Play the new Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, and Los Angeles Rams Scratchers from the California Lottery.
Speaker 9 A little play can make your day.
Speaker 8 Please play responsibly. Must be 18 years or older to purchase, play, or claim.
Speaker 18
There's the part of me that everyone sees. I'm Howie Mandel, the comedian.
Apparently, I know what funny is. Funny bought me a house, but I also know what isn't funny, OCD.
I've lived with...
Speaker 18 OCD my entire life and people throw the term around like it's no big deal. But OCD is severe, often debilitating.
Speaker 18 It's a mental health condition that involves unrelented, unwanted thoughts that can make you question your character, your beliefs, even your safety.
Speaker 18 General therapy can help with some things, but for OCD, it can actually make things worse. That's why I want to tell you about No CD.
Speaker 18 No CD is the world's largest treatment provider for OCD and is covered by insurance for over 155 million Americans.
Speaker 22 Same, they're so light and so comfy.
Speaker 21 And if it's not comfortable, I'm not wearing it.
Speaker 23 And the bras, soft, supportive, and actually breathable.
Speaker 22 Yes, Lord knows the girls need to breathe. Also, I need my PJs to breathe and be buttery, soft, and stretchy enough for my dramatic tossing and turning at night.
Speaker 21 That's why I live in my Tommy John pajamas.
Speaker 2 Plus, they're so cute because they fit perfectly.
Speaker 24 Put yourself on to Tommy John.

Speaker 27 And now we continue with Descendants.
Speaker 32 Come on, get up.
Speaker 5 What?
Speaker 48 I can't believe I
Speaker 32 fell asleep. Snoring like an ox.
Speaker 5 What?
Speaker 45 I don't snore.
Speaker 32 Then you breathe really loud and obnoxiously when you sleep.
Speaker 32 We should save some of this fire, right?
Speaker 5 Yep.
Speaker 32 Don't know if we'll have another chance to start one.
Speaker 32 It's pretty damp here.
Speaker 32 At least we have these furs. Would have froze without them.
Speaker 5 Yeah.
Speaker 32 Glad we only burned the one.
Speaker 32 That guy we took them from. You think the Yetis got him?
Speaker 32 How long was he in here?
Speaker 32 No idea.
Speaker 32
I thought they take out the last contenders, or whatever they call us. Maybe they couldn't reach him.
It's easier if you don't collect the corpses.
Speaker 5 Maybe.
Speaker 5 Or
Speaker 32 maybe they didn't want to.
Speaker 5 What?
Speaker 32 Give me your furs.
Speaker 4 Shit, man.
Speaker 32
You better give them back. I'm lucky to have those.
I don't think it's luck. I think it's a plant.
Speaker 32 Flip them over. Put them together.
Speaker 32 What?
Speaker 32 Holy hell.
Speaker 33 Is that...
Speaker 32 There's lines.
Speaker 5 A map.
Speaker 32 It's drawn on the back
Speaker 32 You wouldn't know it unless all the skins are put together
Speaker 32 We're still missing a piece.
Speaker 32 Probably the one we burned Thankfully, it's not the part that shows where we need to go
Speaker 32 Which is
Speaker 32 right there.
Speaker 32 I think that's supposed to be an X.
Speaker 32 It's on the edge, but
Speaker 32
that has to be our exit Then where is that Take a look around us. This whole arena ramps up.
There's the hill we crossed yesterday. I think that puts us here, and this area is where the entrance was.
Speaker 32 So
Speaker 32 that way is where we need to go.
Speaker 32 Oh,
Speaker 32 they like that.
Speaker 32 They are watching us after all.
Speaker 5 Huh.
Speaker 32
Might not be for this arena. Could be somewhere else.
There's what, five?
Speaker 5 Well.
Speaker 32 in that case, I hope it's for a good reason.
Speaker 32 May not be.
Speaker 5 Whatever.
Speaker 32 Pack up. Let's get moving.
Speaker 32 Can I have my furs back at least?
Speaker 5 Sure.
Speaker 32 We won't need to look anymore. I have a good idea where it's taking us.
Speaker 32 Want to bet that's where other infected are living? Oh, I'm sure it is. They wouldn't make this easy.
Speaker 27 You set?
Speaker 32 Yep. I'm good.
Speaker 5 Roll out.
Speaker 32 What else is living in here? Ice crawlers or some shit? Your grandma's journal say anything about those?
Speaker 32 Here.
Speaker 32 Females coordinate hunts and are physically larger. They defend their territory and are known to set traps.
Speaker 5 Traps?
Speaker 32 Good to know.
Speaker 5 What else?
Speaker 32 Combined with their frozen saliva, they create hard icicles over their bone growths to make protective armor. Have been known to throw them.
Speaker 32
The chemical reaction of water with their saliva bonds and hardens the ice, making them deadly from afar. and hard to kill up close.
Any weaknesses?
Speaker 32
Nope. It doesn't say any.
Says they live in caves, and there's a sketch.
Speaker 32 They decorate their caves?
Speaker 32 Apparently.
Speaker 32 Known to make ornate ice sculptures and art.
Speaker 32 Geez, these things just keep getting weirder and weirder.
Speaker 32 That's what I've been saying.
Speaker 4 Nobody listens.
Speaker 32 Who doesn't listen?
Speaker 32 Oh, it's uh... It's just...
Speaker 32 Come on, man. Who you been saying that to?
Speaker 32 I don't know if I I should say. I'm not gonna tell.
Speaker 5 Whoa.
Speaker 32
I've been saying it to anyone who would listen. I mean, back home, they keep thinking that people are the biggest threat now, and not the infected.
Can't it be both?
Speaker 5 Yeah.
Speaker 32 One, you have a chance to reason with.
Speaker 45 The other, you can't.
Speaker 32 I mean, you have any idea how many humans have died because of the infection? I get what you're saying, but I could always flip that around.
Speaker 32 How many humans have killed each other?
Speaker 32 Just look where we are exactly, and who made all this?
Speaker 32 Okay, okay, sure. I guess there's always gonna be some assholes in the world who take advantage and exploit what's going on.
Speaker 5 Mm-hmm.
Speaker 32 I mean, you'd think everyone would get the fact that we have a common enemy. You know, maybe work together, but people don't work like that, do they?
Speaker 32 Look, I don't know. Maybe I'm holding on to hope for something different.
Speaker 32 They're gonna be holding for a long while.
Speaker 32 So,
Speaker 32
people are infected. Which is worse.
What do you think? I try not to.
Speaker 32 But if I had to,
Speaker 32 I'd say that people will always be looking out for themselves.
Speaker 32 That's never changed.
Speaker 32 It's rare to find otherwise.
Speaker 32 There's no loyalty.
Speaker 32 Doesn't matter where you're from.
Speaker 32 I'd say Westport is different.
Speaker 32 Our guardians, my friends, they may screw up now and then, but they know what's at stake. Try to do good in this world, and
Speaker 32 I mean, it's still the best place out there. Republic says the same thing.
Speaker 32 And the UA.
Speaker 32 Hard to know any other perspective when that's where you were raised. It's called indoctrination.
Speaker 32 Yeah, whatever. You don't know that.
Speaker 5 Don't I?
Speaker 32
I have no home. No bias.
Just call him like I see him.
Speaker 32
We should probably quit talking. You know, something might hear us.
Oh, heaven forbid someone actually listens.
Speaker 5 Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Speaker 4 Just keep walking, all right?
Speaker 32 We have a ways to go.
Speaker 5 Keep climbing
Speaker 5 not much further.
Speaker 39 You keep saying that, but we're still not there.
Speaker 5 Well, this time I can see the top.
Speaker 53 I thought heartlands would be more,
Speaker 53 you know, land
Speaker 5 flat.
Speaker 44 The water has to flow downhill somehow.
Speaker 44 Almost
Speaker 44 there.
Speaker 5 I need to take a break.
Speaker 44 It'll be easier to do that once we reach the top.
Speaker 44 Keep climbing until...
Speaker 52 What the hell is that?
Speaker 5 Oh no.
Speaker 5 Lisa, come on.
Speaker 42 Pick up the pace.
Speaker 5 You have to move faster.
Speaker 42 What is it?
Speaker 5 I don't want to look. I...
Speaker 5 Uh.
Speaker 52 Just focus on getting to the top. You can do this.
Speaker 5 You have to.
Speaker 5 My arms! They're...
Speaker 5 Come on, Lisa, move!
Speaker 5 I'm trying.
Speaker 5 Here!
Speaker 44 Tie the rope around you. I'll help pull you up, but you've got to keep moving.
Speaker 42 I don't know if I can.
Speaker 5 My arms are tied.
Speaker 41 You can't give up.
Speaker 41 I'm not.
Speaker 52 I'm going as fast as I can.
Speaker 42 They must have found a way across the river.
Speaker 43 They caught up.
Speaker 5 Move!
Speaker 5 What is that?
Speaker 52 I can feel. Oh no.
Speaker 5 The bulls.
Speaker 44 They're at the base of the cliff and they're climbing.
Speaker 5 What?
Speaker 5 You don't have time. Go!
Speaker 5 Uh-huh.
Speaker 42 Buffalo Bill is leading them.
Speaker 45 We're alive.
Speaker 27 Descendants will return next week.
