Speaker 3 There is no other way to describe this except explosive. There's a connection between Suffolk Police, prostitutes, and Gilgo Beach.
Speaker 6 Former Suffolk County Chief of Police James Burke was put in handcuffs.
Speaker 8 Chief, he's still denying the accusations?
Speaker 2 And then we found it. The clue, buried in our footage all along.
Speaker 6 He was driving a green,
Speaker 1 what the hell is that thing called? Green Avalanche, a Chevy Avalanche truck.
Speaker 2 And I couldn't help but ask why. Why didn't anyone catch him sooner?
Speaker 7 It was a tip about this Chevy Avalanche that led to the arrest of Rex Ewerman.
Speaker 9 Investigators had a description of a Chevrolet Avalanche in their case files since 2010.
Speaker 2 With a criminal trial pending, we're looking back and asking the question: why did this man get away with something so monstrous for so goddamn long?
