We got Jerry's Fantasy Minute. We have

Speaker 1 our bets, our best bets. We've got a lot of stuff going on.
We got Firefest. We got Thursday night football.
And it's all brought to you by game time.

Speaker 1 Hank, what game are we trying to go to this week?

Speaker 4 We're trying to go to the...

Speaker 1 Ah, fuck.

Speaker 1 What? I saw Hank put his phone down.

Speaker 4 I saw Hank put his phone down on his mouth.

Speaker 1 It was a little foreshadowing for later on in the episode. Oh, no.

Speaker 1 No.

Speaker 4 I saw it happening. It was like

Speaker 1 watching a car crash. Hank.
Zach, you got one for me? Where are you from? Zach, you got one for me. Go ahead, Zach.
Zach, give me a game.

Speaker 1 He doesn't have it. Game time.

Speaker 1 Welcome to part of my take presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours.
Today is Friday, November 14th.

Speaker 1 And Hank, the New England Patriots have now won eight in a row, and they beat the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football.

Speaker 1 Also, for anyone who is going to be listening to the whole show, which I hope everyone is, when we get to the Fire Fest and we talk about game time, you might want to just go back and listen to the game time ad at the beginning of the show.

Speaker 4 And some are saying Wally Pipp.

Speaker 1 Some incredible foreshadowing took place because we recorded it. Some were saying Plasco Burris.

Speaker 1 We recorded the entire back half of the show earlier today, and then we're here right now after Thursday Night Football.

Speaker 5 I love you, Hank.

Speaker 1 I love you, too. Okay.

Speaker 4 The success went to his head a little bit after Thursday night football.

Speaker 1 Okay, so let's talk about the game. Ugly.
Ugly wins are still wins. Yeah.
Thursday night, not full rested.

Speaker 1 Didn't look that sharp. Drake didn't look that sharp.
Playing against a team like the Jets, you don't need to have your A game. It was more like a B-minus, B-minus, C-plus game.

Speaker 1 Uniforms are sick. I like the uniforms.
I like the uniforms a lot. They were sick.
Yeah,

Speaker 1 what are they?

Speaker 1 The rivalry? Storms. Storm.

Speaker 4 nor eastern

Speaker 4 the nor'easters but the rivalry week uniforms the cardinals and the patriots have the two best of those so far yeah i like them a lot yeah uh i was shocked during the game um justin fields didn't play good he he's not good he's not he's not good but i didn't i did not realize how many times justin fields has fumbled in the last four years was it 46 fumbles 48 um he's i think not all lost i thought it was a typo when it was on the screen that he's fumbled the ball 48 times Not all lost fumbles.

Speaker 6 That's still crazy.

Speaker 1 But it's a lot of fumbles. He liked to fumble.
Chicago, he was a fumbler. What do you got? You have the stats in front of you? There we go.

Speaker 1 That's probably lost fumbles. Lost two.
21, he lost. But he's fumbled.

Speaker 1 They flashed the stat

Speaker 1 48 times. Wait, that looks weird.
That looks like it only says that he's lost three.

Speaker 1 Is that true?

Speaker 1 It was a gotcha stat. It was a gotcha stat? What, Sam Schwartzen?

Speaker 1 In what way, though?

Speaker 4 Like, what are the actual numbers?

Speaker 1 I guess what we're looking at.

Speaker 4 So they were off by

Speaker 4 26, 27?

Speaker 1 No, it was right. I'm looking at pro football reference.
I think what you were doing was those were his rushing. He's fumbled 21 times, rushing the ball.
There's been a lot of fumbles in the pocket.

Speaker 1 So those are technically not rushes. On pro football reference, he has fumbled 47 times.
He has lost 14 of them, or 48 times now, lost 15 of them. Yeah, he fumbles.

Speaker 4 He's handsome.

Speaker 1 It was a bad snap, though.

Speaker 4 Hands are 9 1 ⁇ 8 inches. Yeah, it was a bad snap.
Not the biggest hands.

Speaker 1 The famous...

Speaker 1 I do remember the game that Justin Fields played against the Bucs, I want to say, where it was really bad, and Over was like, uh-oh. I think he had three fumbles in that game.

Speaker 6 So, yeah, he fumbles.

Speaker 4 Memes, what did you think?

Speaker 4 What were your expectations going into this game? And then

Speaker 4 what was your outlook after the game was over?

Speaker 1 My hope was to compete. They did compete.
Good start. It was a great start.
They're playing man football right away.

Speaker 1 And then they just couldn't catch the ball. Yeah.
Couldn't catch the ball. There was a dot to A.D.
Mitchell. A.D.
Mitchell had three bad drops.

Speaker 1 But

Speaker 1 I think he'll be good going forward. But they didn't embarrass themselves to that lost fumble.

Speaker 1 Yeah, no, I actually agree with that. It was a, what? It was a 10-point game,

Speaker 1 you know, with them having the ball with eight minutes left, and then the fumble happened, and it was like,

Speaker 1 Yeah, no, and then you see on the fumble happen, they're like, How do you watch Jets football? Like, people just wait for that to happen, but you could tell that Aaron Glenn is coaching the guys up.

Speaker 1 They were competitive tonight, they were able to do some stuff. The play calling was questionable, but the Patriots are a good team.

Speaker 1 The Jets just don't have the facilities to match up with them right now, and they still matched up with them. When you say facilities, like talking about like players, Cubs, no, players.

Speaker 8 Oh, like equipment, you don't have the facilities for that big man. It It was a meme.

Speaker 4 Okay. Sorry.
Shit. Shutting up.
That's on me.

Speaker 1 6'7.

Speaker 4 I thought Trayvion Henderson looked pretty good tonight, though.

Speaker 1 Trayvion did look good. I told you three times.

Speaker 4 I told you he was going to be good.

Speaker 4 You guys poo-pooed me at the start of the season.

Speaker 1 He wasn't blocking, but clearly they believed in him. It was weird.
Obviously, when they lost to the Steelers, Ramondre Stevenson fumbled seven times and they stuck with him.

Speaker 1 It was like something must be wrong with Trayvion, but they figured it out, and now he's playing great.

Speaker 4 He had the correct size font on the back of his jersey?

Speaker 1 Yeah, they gave him good lettering.

Speaker 4 Yeah, and then Stephon Diggs, I thought, looked really good tonight. Yeah.

Speaker 1 So overall, chatted up that cheerleader. Overall, you just chop it up to Thursday night sluggishness

Speaker 1 and you take the win and you move on. There you go.
Yeah, that's fair. And memes, are you, I mean, you competed.
You're not mad at Hank. We competed.
I think they just need a quarterback.

Speaker 1 People were saying, people were tweeting at me. They were like, what about the drops? What about this? It was just like, there's certain things that he does that

Speaker 1 a good, competent quarterback fixes. Like, they're driving down the field, four minutes left.
They're not getting on the ball. They're not getting guys where they need to be.

Speaker 1 You need a competent quarterback gets you in the end zone in under

Speaker 1 a minute there. Correct.

Speaker 4 If you were to make like a blame pie and you were to divvy up what are the biggest pieces for the blame, like, is it mostly quarterback, coaching, facilities, the media? How do we assign blame?

Speaker 1 Well, to owner one,

Speaker 4 Biggest piece.

Speaker 1 Who's on the Epstein emails today? Ooh.

Speaker 1 Just wanted to throw that out there.

Speaker 4 Wait, question?

Speaker 1 Yes.

Speaker 4 Was he on a list, or did somebody write his name in an email?

Speaker 1 Wrote his name in an email. Okay, all right.
I'm hoping that ends up on a list.

Speaker 4 We don't want to get sued.

Speaker 1 Yeah, allegedly. But it was in an email.
It was in an email. But I'd go owner first.
Yep.

Speaker 1 You just have to give it to the quarterback second.

Speaker 1 And then. Former GMs? Former GM Joe Douglas and Robert Salah.
But no, no. You can't blame Robert Salazale.
Bob Salah got a raw deal. He got fired in five games.

Speaker 4 Yeah, it was. Did you see the news today about Woody Johnson, the team report cards?

Speaker 1 Yeah,

Speaker 4 the NFL has filed a grievance with the NFLPA asking them to stop doing the team report cards at the end of every season.

Speaker 4 And the push was instigated. allegedly by Woody Johnson because he called them totally bogus.

Speaker 1 Ah.

Speaker 4 And now it has nothing to do with the fact that he received bad grades.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you can just spend the money on the facilities.

Speaker 4 So apparently they took the feedback that the players on the Jets gave him last year and he actually went the other way. Like they complained about the food.
Oh.

Speaker 4 And so then they made their food worse. It's like punishment.
Yeah, punishment for giving him a bad grade. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Stitches get stitches. Yeah.

Speaker 4 What do you think about that, memes?

Speaker 1 He called it bogus, but his major complaint was just that the culture around the facility.

Speaker 1 It doesn't seem like they're trying to win. Yeah.

Speaker 4 The Soyl and Green factory owner says health inspectors are bogus. Yeah.
One of those situations.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean, the Jets facilities are nice. Yeah.

Speaker 1 But the whole, like, they're not trying to win, that's backed up by, I mean, Woody Johnson said it himself. I'm not a good owner.
He's just an empath.

Speaker 1 Yeah, no, he fucking sucks.

Speaker 1 He was on his phone in the owner's box reading Twitter.

Speaker 1 There are people defending Justin Fields in your.

Speaker 1 I saw a couple. Yeah.
People were dropping past. Listen, I like Justin Fields as a person.
I hope he's a backup for a long time and gets paid.

Speaker 1 But yeah, until you have him on your team, you can't fully.

Speaker 1 In theory, he's got everything, but then you watch him and you're like, okay, there's something.

Speaker 1 It's just not there the way it needs to be for a starter in the NFL. Yeah, but at least on the Bears, he had some games of promise.
Yeah, but what you're describing.

Speaker 4 But what you're just, yeah, what you're describing though the end of game situation where it's like we got no shot you know it's it's just oh we have to pass oh this isn't gonna work it just falls apart that's a problem but he has made a lot of money so i'm happy for him there and he was an incredible quarterback at ohio state hey got a great dude i think josh mcdaniels he needs more respect I've been saying that he's he is a great offensive coordinator and we definitely we whiffed on Wednesday's show when we were talking about retread head coaches when we were talking about Dayball getting another shot somewhere McDaniels is, he is that guy that got the second shot.

Speaker 4 He's going to get another shot.

Speaker 1 Yeah, it didn't go well.

Speaker 1 He's going to be in the playoffs. None of the shots have gone well.
He's going to get another.

Speaker 1 I don't think he wants another shot.

Speaker 4 You don't think so?

Speaker 1 I think he should.

Speaker 1 I agree with Hank. I feel like he's in that.
He's in the perfect spot.

Speaker 4 He shouldn't want another shot, but I feel like in five years, I would not be surprised if he was a head coach for like another year or two.

Speaker 1 Did you see the Giants

Speaker 1 like the list that's been floating around and Steve Spagnula's on there? It's like, why would he want? Why would he want to coach again, head coach again? Yeah.

Speaker 1 Just make millions of dollars being the coordinator and being really good at your job. I agree.
And you don't need to be a head coach again. I agree.
It's perfectly fine.

Speaker 4 The best business choice Jim Merce ever made was taking a huge shit at Josh McDaniels' house. Yeah.

Speaker 1 That's facts. Yep.

Speaker 1 By the way, I have an update before we get to the week 11 picks and preview. I have an update.
This is going to set very out of order here.

Speaker 1 But when we do get to Jerry O'Connell's fantasy minute, fantasy fuckboys, he sent me an update correction that he wants. He said, you may want to read this fresh after you watch.

Speaker 1 No spoilers, correction below. Kind of feels illegal like he's going over his time limit.
Yeah, yeah, no, we don't.

Speaker 8 This doesn't get any.

Speaker 4 It's a correction. But we have to cut it.
We're not.

Speaker 1 Well, I can say it. You can say it.
All right, I'll just say some words right now, whether they have to do anything with Jerry's Fantasy Minute or not.

Speaker 4 Okay, just get back to the show.

Speaker 1 All right, I'll get back to the show.

Speaker 4 Don't you you have an ad read to do right now?

Speaker 1 I said Baltimore. I meant week seven Pittsburgh shootout with Aaron Rodgers, Flacco putting up big numbies this weekend.
Stream him. I get Fluster doing this in less than a minute.
Fuck you, big cat.

Speaker 1 Call 1800 Gambler. Okay.
That could have been anyone.

Speaker 7 That seems illegal.

Speaker 1 That seems over the minute. I may have to bleep that entire thing.

Speaker 4 Well, we were confused at the end of it.

Speaker 1 We're like, what is he talking about? We're very confused. I think

Speaker 1 that quote could have been from anyone.

Speaker 8 No, but we know where it was from.

Speaker 1 Last thing, actual actual last thing, memes.

Speaker 1 Go watch the internet invitational finale. It was incredible.
I guess no spoilers because we don't want to. It was streamed live.
There was 200,000 plus people watching it. It was insane.

Speaker 1 Can we do spoilers?

Speaker 1 Talking about a Monday?

Speaker 1 Can we do spoilers, Monday? But please go watch it. It was incredible.

Speaker 4 It had a little bit of everything in it.

Speaker 1 Yeah, the whole series was insane.

Speaker 4 It had controversy in the finals, a couple controversy. Yep.
Had some great golf, some bad golf, and then there's some very, very emotional parts.

Speaker 1 Yeah, so we will talk about it. We could talk about it with spoilers on Monday, so go watch it.

Speaker 1 There's six episodes. The Bob Does guys, the four-play guys, incredible collaboration.

Speaker 1 I think it's going to be something that's so huge going forward. They're just, it was so, so fun to be a small, small part of it.

Speaker 1 And, oh, we can tell this one story about it because we knew that you got eliminated after

Speaker 1 the

Speaker 1 PFT and I went and played the worst round of golf of all time with Gruden and Dave

Speaker 1 the day after he got eliminated. We played a round of golf where it was me and PFT versus Dave Portnoy and John Gruden.
And we played.

Speaker 4 We're doing a scramble.

Speaker 1 We were doing a scramble.

Speaker 1 And we played, I think, 10 holes because we had to go to the actual internet invitation. We played 10 holes.
I think we got to the green three times.

Speaker 1 That was so bad. And there was, I think, three or four times that holes were conceded out of the T-box.

Speaker 4 I woke up that morning after playing nine holes and nade shot, where I felt like I was the most dialed I'd ever been in my entire life at golf.

Speaker 4 And I told Coach Gruden, I was like, hey, just so you know, I think I figured out golf. I think I'm just good at golf now.
And then proceeded to lose my first T-shot.

Speaker 4 We took like six shots to get onto the first green. Yeah.
And then on the second hole, me and Big Cat both lost multiple T-shots. And so we see it off the second T-box.

Speaker 1 I'm pretty sure I putted twice in 10 holes. And I just remember walking off because Gruden was going to continue playing.
I was like, so much fun playing with you, Coach.

Speaker 1 He was just like, yeah, great time. Yeah.

Speaker 4 I ended up playing with him on the back nine, too. And we got some quality time.
We ended up linking up with the Spit and Chiclets guys and joining them on the back nine.

Speaker 4 And that was, it was just awesome to be listening to those guys going back and forth. The best.
It felt like I was on my own personal podcast for me.

Speaker 1 okay tough old man tough old man tough old man tough old man

Speaker 4 let's get to ourselves week 11 picks and preview and joel clack i have one more thing okay one more thing memes if that's okay uh so i did compete in the internet invitational this year uh did not go the way that i wanted i want to say that if i'm lucky enough to be invited back next year yeah i'd like to give my spot to left-handed hank oh wow

Speaker 1 okay whoa whoa has to be left-handed yeah i'd like to give my spot to to left-hand-anded Hank. What if right-handed Hank wants to join?

Speaker 4 Left-handed Hank gets my spot.

Speaker 1 Okay, and I just want to say right now, I'm not good enough at golf, but I'm planning on getting good at golf this winter. And if I get invited, I would like to give my spot to right-handed Hank.
Wow.

Speaker 1 Thanks, guys.

Speaker 1 Can you do a scramble?

Speaker 4 That would be a good video. Left-handed, right-handed scramble.

Speaker 1 Oh, versus me and PFT. Yeah.
We got a lot of work to do. That would be awesome.
That will be our first golf video in the spring. I like that.
You got this.

Speaker 1 I got to work. I got to get to work.

Speaker 1 Weekend preview is brought to you by Uber Eats.

Speaker 1 This episode is brought to you by Uber Eats, reminding fans that if football coincidentally makes you hungry, you can get game day deals on Wings, Burgers, Beers, Chips, and more all season long, all on Uber Eats.

Speaker 1 What are we thinking Sunday, boys? We haven't done...

Speaker 1 I feel like we haven't done Chinese in a while.

Speaker 4 We were supposed to do that last week, right?

Speaker 1 I feel like we haven't done Chinese in a while. No, Hank?

Speaker 1 I'm down. Okay.
You give me a look.

Speaker 1 What else?

Speaker 1 We've hit them all, but Uber Eats has endless.

Speaker 1 What about wings? Oh, yeah. We haven't done wings except for every other day.
What about pasta? I've eaten wings like three times a week, every single week. Pasta?

Speaker 4 Some Sunday pasta.

Speaker 1 Oh, I wouldn't hate some pasta. Meatballs?

Speaker 1 Meatballs.

Speaker 1 Maybe Max makes some meatballs.

Speaker 1 I could do that. Okay.
When football makes you hungry, you you get game day deals all season long only on Uber Eats. Okay, boys, week 11.
We are here. This is rivalry week.
Rivalry week.

Speaker 4 It's Separation Sunday. It is Separation Sunday.

Speaker 1 I think 9 out of 15 games are divisional games.

Speaker 4 Yeah, and some games that... Like if you lose, some true must-wins for a lot of teams out there.
A lot of good teams, too.

Speaker 1 Yes, some big-time playoff implications. We're getting into that part of the season where if you lose, you're in big trouble.
If you win, you're looking pretty. But let's start with our overseas game.

Speaker 1 Last one of the year. Cherish it, boys.
I think I saw a stat that the Colts Falcons was a top five international game in terms of ratings. So it's working, Hank.

Speaker 1 The plan is working. But we have Commanders at Dolphins.

Speaker 1 Dolphins are minus two and a half. Over-under is 47.5.

Speaker 1 This is the first regular season game played in Spain. There was a preseason game in 1993, 1993.
The Steelers and the 49ers played in 1993.

Speaker 4 What song are they going to go nuts for over in Spain? I don't know. That we're going to get caught off guard by.

Speaker 1 That we're going to be like, holy shit, everyone knows this song? Yeah. La Vita Loca? I don't know.

Speaker 1 I have a question for you to start. Are you...

Speaker 1 The Commanders have not been good. The season is bad.
The season's over.

Speaker 1 But the good news is Jaden Daniels, well, not good news, but it would be one thing if the season was bad and Jaden Daniels was playing all season. Yes.
He's not playing.

Speaker 1 Yep, you can be like, hey, look, we don't have our quarterback. What do you expect? Are you happy this game is early to get it out of the way? Or are you like,

Speaker 1 this is a standalone game? People are going to see how bad we are.

Speaker 4 No, I'm actually okay with it being early because this might surprise you. The commanders have been terrible in the last month.
Like, no sugarcoating it. I'd put them right up there.

Speaker 4 I think they might be one of the worst teams in football. And you can look at injuries, and I know injuries aren't an excuse, but they are.

Speaker 4 You know, like, I actually do think that injuries are a valid excuse

Speaker 4 if your team's team's bad. And if you look at our offense, Jaden, like our projected starting offense, Jaden, Austin Eckler, Terry McLaurin,

Speaker 4 we've got Cosme just came back. All those guys, I don't think that the group of those guys ever played a single snap together this entire season.

Speaker 4 And they've been bad. They're very bad.
The defense is atrocious. But surprisingly, I actually like the commanders this weekend.
Oh. Because we've got Dan Quinn taking over defensive play calling.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 4 And I was finding myself earlier this week. I was driving to work and I was just, you know, being mad about my football team.

Speaker 4 And I was putting a lot of blame on Joe Witt, the defensive coordinator, who does deserve a lot of blame, I think, for it.

Speaker 4 But also I thought, like, what if we had the best defensive coordinator in football

Speaker 4 with the ingredients that he has right now, probably still would be a terrible defense.

Speaker 4 So then you start thinking about the draft picks that you've made, the signings and free agency that you've done. And now I'm like, I'm kind of split.

Speaker 4 I'm like, yeah, Adam adam peters hasn't done a great job outside of drafting jaden daniels right um so there's a lot of blame to go around but in this instance dan quinn taking over defensive play calling i don't think that he's going to be a difference maker enough to make the defense good But I don't think they're going to be historically bad like they've been in the past month.

Speaker 4 And also, I saw a drill that they were running this morning over in Spain. Can we pull it up? I just tweeted about it.

Speaker 1 What's that, Hank? This doesn't look real. Yeah, it doesn't look real.
This looks like JV, like high school, freshman.

Speaker 4 So I watched it. You got to go back to base.

Speaker 1 This is freshman and high school stuff.

Speaker 4 I watched it, and I actually got excited. I'll tell you why.
But watch this drill.

Speaker 1 Okay, they're just running

Speaker 4 the entire mass, offense versus defense. So they're just going back and forth.
They appear to be hustling. Like they're going hard at this weird drill.

Speaker 1 Are they jumping or not jumping?

Speaker 4 I think they're just stepping over those tiny little pylons. And then afterwards, the boys are celebrating.
Like they took that drill seriously.

Speaker 1 The offense won?

Speaker 4 The offense won.

Speaker 4 And I watched this probably five times trying to figure out what the fuck was happening and why we're running this.

Speaker 4 It looks like if you're an injured team, this is the last drill that you should be running.

Speaker 1 If the Commanders win this game, I think we have to run this drill on Sunday.

Speaker 4 Yeah, I think we do. But my thought was...

Speaker 4 Dan Quinn is now coaching this team as interim Dan Quinn. This is the most interim head coach-ass drill I've ever seen in my entire life.
He probably buried a football afterwards.

Speaker 4 He probably had a funeral for the game tape. And for some reason, I just feel like Dan Quinn is going to energize the defense enough where maybe they won't be historically bad this weekend.

Speaker 4 And also, if you have an embarrassing performance overseas, that's when a coach can get fired. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Well, so I don't think there'll be an embarrassing performance.

Speaker 1 Did you see Mike McDaniel actually had a press conference where I didn't realize this, but he said that Dan Quinn was a big piece of the reason he got sober and was a big support person when he got sober, when he was coaching, when he was on Dan Quinn's staff in Atlanta.

Speaker 1 There's clearly some love and mutual respect between the two guys. That makes me believe that even if the Dolphins had the chance to embarrass, they wouldn't embarrass.

Speaker 1 So I do the pro football show.

Speaker 1 It comes out on Thursday nights. It's with Gruden and Smoot.
We pick every game. Gruden pointed out something that I wanted to share with you guys, just throwing it out there.

Speaker 1 It's an interesting little thought starter.

Speaker 1 So credit to John gruden we love him the dolphins if the dolphins win this game the dolphins have the commanders the saints the jets the steelers and the bengals their next five could the dolphins get back into it i think that they could get back into another season of mike mcdaniel i like

Speaker 1 could there be a world where we're sitting here if they win this game where they are six and seven going up against the steelers on a monday night football game in mid-december 6-7. My kids are...

Speaker 1 It's too much 6-7. I still don't understand what it means.
Can someone tell me what it means?

Speaker 4 It doesn't mean anything.

Speaker 1 That's the part that drives me nuts.

Speaker 4 It's just fun to do and say. Yeah.

Speaker 1 It's just,

Speaker 1 it's brain rot just everywhere. Yeah.

Speaker 4 It's crazy.

Speaker 1 It's either way. It's spread everywhere.
It's a 6-7.

Speaker 1 Yeah, could the Dolphins get back in this thing? I don't think they're going to be in it. Probably not.

Speaker 4 They're not going to get back in it, but I do think that it's a possibility that they play well enough where Mike McDaniel is the coach going in next year.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Which actually, I don't know if that would be good or bad for the Dolphins.

Speaker 4 I think most Dolphins fans would say bad, but I heard the same thing about McDaniel and Dan Quinn, and Dan Quinn talked about it too and took on the mindset of, like, you know, I'm proud.

Speaker 4 I'm proud of what he accomplished and to do it publicly and to take all those steps. It does seem like there's a lot of love between the two guys.

Speaker 4 Maybe there's like a, it's like he's a sponsor. Yeah.
And does Mike McDaniel really want to beat his sponsor?

Speaker 1 Yeah. I,

Speaker 4 This would be a very counterproductive loss for the Commanders. Yep.
And in theory, I want them to lose this game. Counterproductive.
I'm sorry, counterproductive.

Speaker 4 You're right.

Speaker 1 You're right.

Speaker 4 In theory,

Speaker 4 it would be best for the future of the franchise if they lost this game. There was a game back in 2023 against the Jets that Ron Rivera, I don't think he said a word for the entire game.

Speaker 4 He's just stood on the sidelines with his arms crossed.

Speaker 1 I don't remember it.

Speaker 4 And the Jets won on a field goal, like a long field goal at the end of that game, which made the difference in the commanders moving up to the second overall pick.

Speaker 4 You have to, if you're a realistic NFL fan, you have to think about those things. But once the whistle blows, I'm going to be rooting for the commanders.
And I actually do right now.

Speaker 4 I think that they have a very good chance of winning this game. I think that the defense could be a lot better.
I think they could confuse too a little bit.

Speaker 4 And it does suck that Deron Payne's not playing. I guess you can't, guys can't be savages anymore.
No.

Speaker 1 We learn that.

Speaker 4 We can't punch our opponents in the neck anymore. It's bullshit.
It is bullshit. I like how he appealed it, and it was the shortest appeal of all time.

Speaker 4 They're like, wait, so you did punch him in the neck? Yes, but he also kind of punched me first. Okay, yeah, you're still suspicious.

Speaker 1 It was my internet invitational appeals. Yes.

Speaker 4 It was just instant. It was a no.

Speaker 1 Devon A. Chain, by the way, we should shout him out.
He is second in the NFL in rush yards after contact with 634, only second to Jonathan Taylor. He's having an awesome year.

Speaker 1 He's still very, very fast. The Tua is 0-2 in international games.
The Commanders as a franchise have only played one international game. It was a tie.
Yeah. So there's a Bengals.
It was a tie?

Speaker 1 Yeah, Bengals. Yeah.
2016.

Speaker 1 I actually am kind of excited to watch this game because it's like, hey, it's the last one.

Speaker 4 It's also a new stadium. Yeah.
We haven't seen this one. Is that

Speaker 4 right next to La Mancha, Hank?

Speaker 1 Do you know what that is? Nope.

Speaker 1 So you're not reading Don Quixote. I got it.
You did get it. It came yesterday.
But La Mancha was in the page that you read.

Speaker 1 I don't know La Mancha. La Mancha.

Speaker 4 The musical was called The Man of La Mancha.

Speaker 1 Cool.

Speaker 4 Maybe you should just watch the musical.

Speaker 1 No, I'm going to read the book. Easy to read the book.
Okay, let's go to the regular slate.

Speaker 1 Panthers at Falcons.

Speaker 1 Panthers are back to underdogs. That's why I like the Panthers.

Speaker 4 It's crazy that you can beat a team 30-0.

Speaker 4 And then you play them again in the regular season, and you're underdogs. Yeah.

Speaker 1 That's the NFL. That's the NFL, baby.

Speaker 4 I love the sport.

Speaker 1 That's the NFL.

Speaker 4 Drake London, he mispracticed. He was sick.
That's a big deal. I'm guessing he'll probably be healthy by Sunday.
Yep.

Speaker 4 But it does give me a little bit of pause to bet on the Falcons this weekend.

Speaker 1 We also had the very weird quote from Michael Pennix saying they asked him who he uses on the sideline to

Speaker 1 be a mentor or help him out. He said no one.
He said he's got his fiancé and his high school coach. Yeah.
That was kind of weird.

Speaker 4 It is kind of strange. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Maybe a coaching change if the Falcons keep spiraling.

Speaker 1 Any names you'd throw out there?

Speaker 4 I mean, I think there's a lot of prominent college head coaches that would probably be very interested.

Speaker 4 You look at like a quarterback. It seems like they might have a quarterback you could work with.

Speaker 4 You look at positions like running back, maybe a guy from a school that has a history of having dominant running backs.

Speaker 4 I could see a college head coach going to the Falcons, yeah. Okay.
Like

Speaker 4 I mean, like. You'd have to get SEC, right? Like, SEC translates.
You'd probably have to get in the state. Oh, and I don't know.

Speaker 4 That's so crazy, it might just work. Okay.

Speaker 1 Just, that would be, that would be a shocker. It would be a shocker.
Georgia Tech Coach?

Speaker 1 Yeah. That's not SEC.
Oh, true. Yeah.

Speaker 4 But that's also a great option. That is a great option.

Speaker 4 Or any other college in the state of Georgia. Yeah.
I'm struggling to think of any other Georgia universities.

Speaker 1 I'm not really excited to watch this game, but it's going to happen.

Speaker 4 That's DC.

Speaker 1 I think I'm done with

Speaker 1 what? Who?

Speaker 4 Hank's naming HBCUs. Okay.
Trying to find one that's in Georgia.

Speaker 1 I think

Speaker 1 I'm good with Bryce Young. It was fun the end of last year.
I think I'm good.

Speaker 4 You know what? It was fun that we had a couple weeks where we got to just throw out that red meat and say, Hank is good. Did the Panthers make the right pick in the draft?

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 4 CJ Stroud. It was fun to at least say that.

Speaker 1 Yeah, he's Bryce Young, and this isn't the end-all, be-all of stats, but it's still a shocking one. Nine out of ten games this year, he's under 200 yards passing.

Speaker 1 Did he? Oh, he actually didn't start all. So it would be

Speaker 4 broken 100 yards. No, 200 yards.
200 yards. I don't think he's broken 200 yards.
Let's see.

Speaker 1 I thought he did one game.

Speaker 4 Let me see. Because in the 30-0 game against the Falcons, he had 121.
Yeah, he did.

Speaker 1 Against the Cardinals. Oh, yeah.
328.

Speaker 1 1, 28. That's right, yeah.
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. 8 out of 9, excuse me, because Andy Dalton started a game.
Eight out of nine games, he's not broken 200 yards passing.

Speaker 4 So that was like a crazy

Speaker 4 second half of the third quarter and fourth quarter against the Cardinals.

Speaker 1 Yeah, he did have 198 and 199. Yeah.

Speaker 1 But it's not 200.

Speaker 4 But if you watch the throws that he made, especially last week, he is throwing for like, they're going two yards in the air, three yards in the air. It's very clear they don't really trust Bryce.

Speaker 1 No, it is it's a it's a tough watch. But you can just run the ball.
Yeah.

Speaker 4 Like if you're if you just hand the ball to Rico Dowdle, good things will happen.

Speaker 1 I like the Panthers, but I also feel like Michael Pennix is going to have a good game eventually. Like, he had a good game, was it against the Bills, and then he's had some tough games.

Speaker 1 He's going to have a good game.

Speaker 4 Yeah, I'm not out on Michael Pennix.

Speaker 1 No, I'm not either. I'm out on Mars Young.
Yeah. Okay, big game.
Big, big game. Bucs at Bills.
Bills minus five and a half. Over-under's 48.5.
Two teams that are kind of,

Speaker 1 I could say struggling.

Speaker 4 It's flailing a little bit.

Speaker 1 Yeah, a little flail.

Speaker 4 There's a bunch of good games this weekend. I was trying to think of which one was the crown jewel.
You have to have the crown jewel, but I think that's later.

Speaker 1 I think the crown jewel is Sunday night football, but yes. Yeah, well, that's a good one.
The Rams and Seahawks also.

Speaker 4 There's a lot of crown jewels this weekend.

Speaker 1 Broncos Chiefs also a crown jewel.

Speaker 4 Yeah, there's too many jewels.

Speaker 1 How are we feeling overall, Zach?

Speaker 9 A little slumpish midseason, but I mean, if we can go out and perform against the Bills, I feel good.

Speaker 1 This does feel like whoever wins, whoever loses this game, it's going to be panic button time.

Speaker 4 Is that fair? I think Bills fans are already, they gently push the panic button. They did like Siri, press the panic button.

Speaker 4 They haven't pushed it themselves yet, but they asked like their Alexa robot, like, just push it for me, make sure it still works.

Speaker 1 Yeah, this game specifically is very big in terms of the Bills season because last week, as bad as it was, and I think it was the third loss, third worst loss in the Josh Allen era,

Speaker 1 as bad as it was, you can kind of convince yourself: well, there was a little hangover from beating the Chiefs. You circle the Chiefs all year.
That's always a big game.

Speaker 1 Then they go down and play a divisional game. Weird shit happens in Miami.
If they can write the ship this week, you feel a lot more confident that things are still okay.

Speaker 1 If you lose this week, you're like, oh, Jesus, what is going on?

Speaker 4 I think it could be like the opposite of what the Bills fans have dealt with in the past, where maybe they go in the playoffs this year, not even as division champions.

Speaker 4 Not a lot of expectation on them. True.
And they've beaten good teams.

Speaker 4 Obviously, they've lost to a couple bad teams too.

Speaker 4 But like in the past, you could say about the Bills that they got fat and happy on a weak schedule or like beaten up on the bad ones and then struggled at times against some good teams.

Speaker 4 It might be a different story this year. That's like the one spin zone you can give yourself.

Speaker 4 Zach, I got a trivia question for you. Ooh.
Yes, sir. How many times have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Speaker 4 won in Buffalo in the history of the franchise.

Speaker 9 History of the franchise. We've won in Buffalo

Speaker 9 twice.

Speaker 4 Zero times. Oh.

Speaker 1 That's tough.

Speaker 4 Yeah, never been done.

Speaker 1 You want a follow-up question for the Bucs at Buffalo?

Speaker 4 I'll do back-to-back trivia.

Speaker 1 Okay, how many times have the Bucs played at Buffalo and had the longest play in NFL history?

Speaker 9 Once. Yep, that's facts.

Speaker 1 They did have the longest play in NFL history in 2017 with the Bucs playing in Buffalo 44 seconds. It was an end-of-game laterals that just kept on going and going and going and going and going.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I love that.

Speaker 4 Also, they've only played in Buffalo three times.

Speaker 1 So one-third of the time, they have the longest play in NFL history.

Speaker 4 That's true. Wow.

Speaker 1 Strong percentages.

Speaker 4 High ratio.

Speaker 1 So there's a decent chance that there will be the longest play in NFL history happen in this game.

Speaker 4 Baker just scrambling around, running over guys, like dodging tacklers.

Speaker 1 I'm happy that Baker and Josh, who both are guys, we love them both, are doing

Speaker 1 the nicest trash talk possible back and forth. Baker said, I have to walkie-talkie to him because he's so damn tall.

Speaker 1 With Buffalo, it's cold, it's rainy, even though he's 6'10, his hands are small, so he better wear his gloves.

Speaker 1 And then Josh said, Baker is a two-gloves type of guy on the golf course, so that says everything you need to know about him. Just some fun banter.

Speaker 4 Is that true, though?

Speaker 1 I don't know if he is.

Speaker 4 Hank is a one-glove guy on the golf course, like Michael Jackson. Sometimes you put it on the wrong hand, though.

Speaker 1 I don't think that's true. You don't think he's a two-gloves guy? No, I think that's just a little...

Speaker 4 Panter. What does that mean if you call somebody a two-gloves guy on the golf course?

Speaker 1 Yeah, what is that implying? I'm looking at pictures. I'm seeing only one glove on his hands while golfing, but it's a good burn because you don't want that to stick.
You don't want to be

Speaker 1 having like iron covers, head covers for your irons. Is that bad?

Speaker 6 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Oh. Why?

Speaker 4 It just means you're like scared. Soft.
It's like an offensive lineman wearing wearing sleeves. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 4 Your golf club should be out in the elements.

Speaker 1 And also, that glove was actually on the right hand. I just didn't realize it.

Speaker 4 Oh, yeah, because now you're a left-handed golfer. Your body was trying to tell you, and you just had to listen.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 4 This is going to be a weather play for me.

Speaker 4 I'm making my play on this game strictly based on the weather forecast. Okay.
I think it's

Speaker 4 going to be in the 30s. Maybe around 40, a little drizzly.

Speaker 4 The Bucs can't win that game.

Speaker 1 It's too cold. I agree with that.
It's too cold. I agree with that.
I agree with that. All right, so we're going to go weather play.

Speaker 4 I'm going to go weather play on this game, but both teams, yeah, I think, is there a possibility that you can lose this game and walk away being optimistic about the rest of your year?

Speaker 4 Like, if the Bucs lose by three points, it's 35 to 32.

Speaker 4 Can the Bucs walk away and still be... I think that they can because of the division that they play in.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, I mean, that's the thing is the Bucs are going to be fine because they're going to most likely win their division. But this does, it's flailing.
A little slump. Little slump.

Speaker 1 This is who can get the slump buster?

Speaker 1 I also, I also, this is one of my,

Speaker 1 Hank, you tell me, do you, do we have any hungry dogs this week? Do you like? Is this one of them?

Speaker 1 Oh, it is. Because I saw this line and I was like, well, the Bucs are really good.
The Bills are... Good, but they've been struggling.
Five and a half is way too many points. Hammer the Bucks.

Speaker 1 No, no, no, no. That's what they want you to think.

Speaker 1 Rat.

Speaker 4 Take the favorite. Smell a rat.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Smell a rat. Smell a rat.

Speaker 1 It's Hungry and Henry, so it's kind of

Speaker 1 a little bit. It's the hen dog.
It's a little bit cloudy. It's a six right now.
Six? Yeah. On the DraftKings Sports.

Speaker 4 You get a lot of exposure to this game, Hank. It's in both parlays.

Speaker 1 That is a lot of exposure. Be careful.

Speaker 4 Don't expose yourself. Diversify.
Oh, we are getting the white-on-white 1965 throwbacks from the bills. Now, wait.
Does this also mean we're getting the red helmets? Can we see it?

Speaker 4 Yeah, let's check out the helmets.

Speaker 1 Oh, this is big. I don't really like

Speaker 1 the red helmets. I'm going to say it.

Speaker 4 I kind of do.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 Let's find it. I'm going to go to the you can go to the gridiron database

Speaker 1 Max. It's actually an awesome website.
You can just look at uniforms for each week.

Speaker 8 This guy says this is the max. This is the max.

Speaker 1 It's white. It's white helmets with the red buffalo.
I'm looking at it right now. Okay.
The Uni Watch, we never didn't shout him out, but there was a Uni Watch account that retired on Halloween.

Speaker 1 Why did he retire on Halloween? I don't know. He just retired.
He announces retirement? Yeah. I love that.
1999 and 2025. What are we doing? Wait,

Speaker 1 can I see his retirement? I love when random dudes on the internet retire. It's such a great.

Speaker 8 What is it, UniWatch?

Speaker 1 He took down his account.

Speaker 1 Oh, no.

Speaker 1 He really retired.

Speaker 1 Oh, I, oh, yeah, I know you watch Paul, right? Yeah. Paul Lucas.
Yeah. Oh, shit.
He retired?

Speaker 1 Why did he retire?

Speaker 1 That's crazy. I think he, like, wrote a book.
My passion for this passion project just isn't what it used to be. No, shit.

Speaker 4 There's too many uniforms.

Speaker 7 I feel like

Speaker 4 you should, you should, maybe you just thought that all the new combos were like Mickey Mouse.

Speaker 1 That's crazy that he just shut it all down.

Speaker 1 Oh. Hello, Paul here with some unfortunate news.

Speaker 1 Due to a perfect storm of negative developments, I've reluctantly come to the unfortunate conclusion that continue to publish Uni Watch is no longer viable. This will be the site's final post.

Speaker 1 Yes, I'm serious, and no, this isn't a Halloween Halloween-related prank. Are there those type of pranks? Yeah, trick or

Speaker 4 strike and trick-or-treat.

Speaker 1 Yeah, Uni Watch is shutting down for real. I realize this news probably should come as a shock and that you no doubt have lots of questions.
So let's shift into QA mode.

Speaker 1 When did you make the decision to do this? Yesterday. Although I've been thinking about it for a while.
Whoa.

Speaker 4 What's this perfect storm?

Speaker 1 Over the past year, UniWatch has been hit by a number of difficult circumstances. Sites revenue has been cut roughly in half since May.

Speaker 1 AdSlump, web developer, my partner. Damn.
Okay, one of his partners is dealing with an illness. That's really sad.
He doesn't have the chops technically. Man.

Speaker 1 RIP UniWatch. Yeah.
Great website.

Speaker 4 Okay. What a run.

Speaker 1 And he shut down the Twitter.

Speaker 1 Sad stuff. All right.
Well, sad stuff. But yeah, the Bills are going to wear the whites with the red

Speaker 1 buffalo.

Speaker 4 The only logo in sports that has a penis.

Speaker 1 Yes. Well,

Speaker 1 the fake Clark the Cub.

Speaker 4 Yeah, when he was pantsless. Yeah, when he was post-yeah.

Speaker 1 Okay. Next up, we have the Houston Texans and the Tennessee Titans.
Don't know.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah, gross.

Speaker 1 Gross. Ah.

Speaker 6 Texas.

Speaker 4 And Davis Mills, by the way. I believe Davis.

Speaker 4 I still like the Texans.

Speaker 1 Tennessee has gone 14 consecutive games, scoring fewer TDs than their opponent, dating back to the middle of last season. That is the longest streak for any team since 1976-77.

Speaker 1 Bucks, who did it in 18 straight games. That's pretty impressive.
That is, yeah.

Speaker 1 So the other long streaks were the Chicago Cardinals in 1942 to 1945, the Bucs in the 67-67, The Dayton Triangles, 1927-29, they struggled to score.

Speaker 1 This is a... Dayton Triangles, and who could forget?

Speaker 4 What's the over-under on this game?

Speaker 1 Ooh, it is. Hold on, I'll tell you.
I have it written down. 37 and a half.
37.5. Under.

Speaker 1 They love putting that 37.5 out there. That's the number.
Under. Seen a lot of 37.5s.

Speaker 4 This is.

Speaker 4 Good for you if you watch this game. Yeah.

Speaker 1 We'll have this game on.

Speaker 1 That's about it. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Any

Speaker 1 Any side tangents we want to take for this?

Speaker 4 We could talk about the Titans trying to steal the throwback uniforms, although I don't think they're wearing those this weekend.

Speaker 4 That's really the only intriguing part of this matchup.

Speaker 8 A uniform matchup that isn't happening.

Speaker 4 That isn't happening. Yeah.
That's a good. A uniform matchup that could happen.

Speaker 1 Yeah. What about Hank? Do we have any update on the lefty golfing?

Speaker 1 No. Okay.
All right. So that's.
I've been sick. Okay.

Speaker 4 Yeah, tell us about your illness. What did you do yesterday?

Speaker 1 Slept. All All day?

Speaker 1 Yeah, I slept pretty much all day. Went to sleep at 8 o'clock.
Do you feel better? I feel better. Okay.
I hydrated a lot. Took a lot of vitamins.
Good.

Speaker 4 Vitamin C.

Speaker 1 Good.

Speaker 1 But yeah, I think I'm going to do Left Sember.

Speaker 1 What? Left Sember. Left Sember.
Why not Left Vember? Because February's pretty much over. It's not.
November's not even halfway.

Speaker 1 We have more Fember left than we've done.

Speaker 4 It's the 13th right now.

Speaker 1 But we got things. I'm doing Left Sember.
Thanks, Thanksgiving. You guys want to update? That's the update.
Thanksgiving. All right.
Left Vember. No, Left Sember.
Left Sember. Only swinging Lefty.

Speaker 1 So you can't swing Lefty in Vember. I can.
No, you can't. I can do whatever I want.
No, you can't. I can and I will.
No. And then Left Sember.
Left Sember, but don't get Left Vember going.

Speaker 1 Go right Vember. I'm doing Left Sember.
It sounds like you're doing Left Vember, but you have Thanksgiving, so you're not fully committed to it until December.

Speaker 6 Correct. What about...

Speaker 1 But you're going to still Left Vember. I'm going to do some Left Vember.

Speaker 4 It's going to be both Fember.

Speaker 1 I have a friend that does

Speaker 1 an annual outing the day before Thanksgiving. What about Left Tanuary? We'll see.
We'll see how Left Ember goes.

Speaker 1 It's going to be Left Sember, and then we're going to see if it's worth continuing or not. Is it going to be a Left Sember to remember? We'll see.
I don't know.

Speaker 4 So absolutely no right-hand swinging in the entire month of December. Correct.

Speaker 1 So you're playing in a golf outing Thanksgiving, but you're not going to go lefty there. Or you are?

Speaker 1 I will probably be playing righty. Okay.
But two of the guys I'm playing, it's a scramble, so it's two of the guys I'm playing with are lefty, so I might mix it up.

Speaker 1 So there might be a little left member in there. Yeah.
But Left Sember is when it really gets going. Yeah.
And if anyone sees you hitting righty in Left Sember, they can hit you with their golf cart.

Speaker 1 Sure. Okay.

Speaker 1 I'm not going to be on a golf course. I'll get a golf cart.

Speaker 4 I think if you hit right-handed in Left December,

Speaker 1 driving it in the simulator out of nowhere, I think we just cut your left hand off. Yeah.
Okay. Yeah.
We're going to go. What's the

Speaker 4 country?

Speaker 1 Saudi Arabia. There's also one of the

Speaker 1 Philippines somewhere where if you steal.

Speaker 4 They do a lot of stuff in the Philippines. They'll kill you in the Philippines if you screw up singing My Way Karaoke.

Speaker 1 Yeah, they will. It's banned.

Speaker 4 It's the forbidden song in the Philippines.

Speaker 1 Okay. That was good.
Texans, Titans, preview. Next game.
Bears at Vikings. Vikings are minus three.
Over-under is 48.5.

Speaker 1 I'm very nervous for this game.

Speaker 1 We've talked about the Bears a lot. The Bears have to get takeaways to compete when they are getting takeaways.
They look decent when they are not.

Speaker 1 They're the 30th in EPA without turnovers in terms of defensive EPA. They're the 31st in drop pack EPA.
So it's turnovers. Got to get turnovers.

Speaker 4 Yeah, it's a matchup of Mr. fourth quarter and also J.J.
McCarthy.

Speaker 1 Mm-hmm.

Speaker 4 Because Caleb Williams is actually the best quarterback in terms of game-winning drives and fourth-quarter comebacks all season.

Speaker 1 He's been phenomenal.

Speaker 4 He leads the NFL in game-winning drives and fourth-quarter comebacks.

Speaker 1 This is the big step, these next games coming up for the Bears, where

Speaker 1 they've beaten a lot of bad teams, and the Vikings, I know or not, they're kind of in the middle of the road, but Caleb has only won one divisional game in his career a year and a half.

Speaker 1 Obviously, that's not a huge sample size, but you've got to start winning the divisional games. You got to start stacking these type of wins.
And I've broken up the rest of the Bears season.

Speaker 1 I'm not doing any more gateways because we completed the Gateway. It's this game and the Steelers game must go one and one.

Speaker 1 Don't care how it happens. Got to go one and one in the next two.
That's good.

Speaker 4 That's a good way to break it down. Then you put yourself in the position for the divisional games.
Correct.

Speaker 1 Correct.

Speaker 4 Did you see the interview with Troy Aikman by our good friend Ryan Glaspiekal from Front Office Sports? I did not.

Speaker 4 So they were talking about what it's like doing Monday Night Football, backlash from fans.

Speaker 4 And he said, in 25 years, there's bound to be times when you say something and you're like, I wish I could take that back. Or I wish I could say, could have said that a little differently.

Speaker 4 Or in the moment you say something and you're like, that didn't quite come out right.

Speaker 4 That game, talking about the Monday Night Football game against the Commanders, was not one of those.

Speaker 1 Oh. I walked out of that game.

Speaker 6 Yeah, twist.

Speaker 4 I walked out of that game feeling like, okay, it was.

Speaker 1 You had us in the first half.

Speaker 4 It was a game that came down to the wire. It's fun, whatever.

Speaker 4 on tuesday evening i had dinner i got home looking at instagram and ben johnson comes up and he's got troy aikman written on there and i'm like what is this that's the first time that he heard about it and so he says that i would challenge anyone to go watch it and tell me that any analysis i gave was unfair They may disagree if I thought that was maybe not great ball placement and they thought it was okay, but I'm not sure where the backlash came from.

Speaker 4 So he's standing behind his Caleb Williams takes, which I guess I respect a guy for

Speaker 4 standing on it. um but yeah i i thought that he would have kind of backtracked a little bit because the the backlash to what he said like i've seen a lot of the clips and he did seem like he was being

Speaker 1 like troy was being mean yeah he was being mean he was being a big meanie butt a big meanie butt real big meanie butt yeah why he's so mean bro he's a mean guy yeah

Speaker 1 yeah i uh this game also the the thing that makes me nervous about this game is

Speaker 1 We talked about it on Monday, but it does not feel like the Vikings' path to success is having JJ McCarthy throw it 42 times, which he did against the Ravens.

Speaker 1 Feels like Kevin O'Connell will figure out, hey, we've got to run the ball more.

Speaker 1 The Bears can't really stop the run. Bears can't really stop anything on defense.

Speaker 1 And will it look like a lot of runs and controlling the clock and trying to keep the ball out of the Bears' offense hands?

Speaker 4 Did Ben Johnson have anything to say before the season about anticipated rivalry against KOC? Or was that just strictly aimed at Mark LeFleur?

Speaker 1 Just LaFleur. Okay.
I'm just excited. This is a,

Speaker 1 it's fun to be excited about football on Sundays, and the Bears make me excited. This is, we're going to find out.

Speaker 1 I've said this before, but we have graduated from being a bad team because we beat a lot of bad teams. Now,

Speaker 1 can you get into that class of good team? And it starts with the Vikings and then the Steelers, and then I think it's the Packers or Lions. I don't know, the Eagles and the Packers.

Speaker 1 So this is it.

Speaker 1 Let's find some shit out.

Speaker 4 I think if you went on the road in Minnesota, you would definitely fall into the good team category.

Speaker 1 Yeah, or inching closer at least. So I'm excited for this game.
Caleb is such a joy to watch. Just figure out a way to get some takeaways, which the Vikings do give up the ball a lot.

Speaker 1 So maybe that is the one benefit here going into this game. I think they're second in turnovers.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Team is second most in the NFL with 16.
So take the ball away. Just fucking take the ball away.

Speaker 4 Do you think that the Bears are exceptionally good at taking the ball away, or is it turnover luck? Because there's different types of of turnovers. I've seen both.
I think it's a combo.

Speaker 4 Bayard has made some awesome picks this year. Yes.
He does seem like he knows where to be.

Speaker 1 By the way, not to kick a dead horse, but Kevin Bayard had a clip.

Speaker 1 I think it was, it looked like it was maybe just a Bears podcast, but he essentially said that last year whenever the Bears would go down, the entire sidelines would just start freaking out, and everyone would be running around with their head cut off.

Speaker 1 And he's like, this year, when we're down, it's just calm. And so basically, Iberflues had no control of anything.
Yeah. Which we knew, but he just said it out loud again.

Speaker 4 Yeah, I mean, we're going to the Iberflues stats are going to continue to come out as Ben Johnson continues to be a competent head coach.

Speaker 4 Like, we're going to unearth some stuff that we didn't even know that Matt Iberflues was bad at.

Speaker 1 Yeah. So to answer your question, I think it's a combo.
I do think there's definitely some luck involved.

Speaker 1 You know, the Jayden Daniels fumbled playing Geno Smith and just playing Geno Smith is lucky. Yeah.

Speaker 1 This season.

Speaker 1 You just get in herself. Not for Hank, yeah, not for Hank.
Um, and the

Speaker 1 but I do think Dennis Allen knows the limitations. Dennis Allen actually should get a lot of credit because he's not been dealt the best hand and he's making the most of it.

Speaker 1 I think, with some of the limitations that this team has defensively, Dennis Allen knows we got to be a little more aggressive trying to take the ball away, so it's a mix, yeah.

Speaker 1 But it's it's you can never count on turnovers, so you can't go into a game being like, we're gonna get three turnovers. That's what always scares me.
Okay, next game,

Speaker 1 actually, probably the the crown jewel.

Speaker 1 Packers at Giants. Giants plus seven.
Over under 42.5.

Speaker 1 Jameis Winston time. I am so, so happy.
PFTI were on a text exchange with Jameis last night. Yep.
Just congratulating on him, him on getting another shot.

Speaker 4 I figured we should reach out. Yeah.
Because Jameis has been, he's been a great soldier.

Speaker 4 He's been an awesome third string quarterback. Haven't really heard much from him in the media in terms of like any controversies whatsoever.

Speaker 4 He has been, he's kept his head down and he's just been lurking. Everyone knows that he's there.
Everyone saw Russell Wilson play.

Speaker 4 I think that it was the very definition of malpractice to not only start Russell Wilson,

Speaker 4 but also then to have Russell Wilson as Wilson as the backup quarterback for so many games.

Speaker 1 Shout out Mike Kafka, by the way. Yes.
The interim head coach. Mike Kafka was smart enough, Northwestern guy.

Speaker 1 He was smart enough to be like, hey, how do I rejuvenate this team? Jameis Winston. That's it.

Speaker 4 That's it.

Speaker 1 That's what you need. That is it.

Speaker 4 I'm pumped to watch him play. Very, very excited.

Speaker 4 He's going to throw the ball. He plays an entertaining brand of football.
It stinks that the Giants are banged up at what I would love to see him with Malik Neighbors.

Speaker 1 I would love to see him with Malik Neighbors. I'm a little worried for

Speaker 1 Jameis success because the Packers are off a loss. You know how scary they are off a loss.
I do, yeah. So

Speaker 4 the Giants definitely wish that the Packers had beaten the East. Yeah.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah. They're a a scary team off of a loss.
Do you think the Packers get this? Is a

Speaker 1 remember when the Bears played the Bengals and I was like, this is a must-look great on offense? I think that's what this is for the Packers.

Speaker 1 They have to look great on offense because the Giants' defense is not very good.

Speaker 1 And you've got a lot of questions floating around and a lot of hot seat talk and this and that.

Speaker 1 Jordan Love has to look good in this game.

Speaker 4 Yeah, four-game losing streak for the Giants. In that losing streak, they're giving up 32.25 points per game.
So yes, the offense has to look right. They need to run the ball in first down.

Speaker 4 They've stunk at running the football on first down. LaFleur says he has to look inward, so he's thinking about himself.

Speaker 4 That's the first stop for a coach being like, I'll take the blame, is like, I got to look inward. And then once you do that, then you say, it starts with me.
And then it starts and ends with me.

Speaker 4 And then I got to put my hand up and I'm not doing a good enough job. And then that's kind of the end of the road for that.

Speaker 9 Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 4 Then you just get mad instead afterwards.

Speaker 1 Yes.

Speaker 4 But yeah, this is the start of the journey for LaFleur. People have been talking about him being on the hot seat.
I don't think Matt LaFleur is on the hot seat.

Speaker 4 I don't think that he should be on the hot seat.

Speaker 1 I don't think he's.

Speaker 1 I wouldn't put him on the hot seat. I do think he's on the hot seat.

Speaker 4 You think Packers, they expect more?

Speaker 1 I think Packers fans are getting restless. And

Speaker 1 Matt LaFleur even said he was just like,

Speaker 1 no one is taking it harder than me. And I thought about it.
I was like, I actually don't know if that's true.

Speaker 1 I bet you there's like a dude sitting right now in Wisconsin who the Packers are his only good positive thing in his life. And he's probably taking it harder than Matt LaFleur.

Speaker 1 Not that Matt LaFour is not taking it hard, but I bet you there's at least a few Packers fans that are, in fact, taking it harder than the head coach of the Packers.

Speaker 4 Steve Avery.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Like, you know what I mean? There's definitely some dude who's just like, this is

Speaker 1 the only thing I enjoy in life is watching the Packers on Sunday. He's probably taking it harder than Matt LaFleur right now.

Speaker 4 Yeah, a lot of Packers fans probably fall into that category.

Speaker 1 Yeah, he said, I promise that you're not as frustrated as I am. I bet you there's a couple guys out there that are more frustrated.

Speaker 4 Yeah, it's not true. Yeah.
Not true. The Giants, I think that they put their kicker on IR finally, right? So hopefully they're done for weird kicker injuries this season.

Speaker 4 But the kicking game for the Packers isn't exactly great either.

Speaker 1 No.

Speaker 4 It's not. And the thing is, if the Packers were like leading the NFC right now, now, that would be the question everybody would be talking about in Green Bay.

Speaker 4 But they got to fix the small stuff before they fix that. Justin Tucker.
Justin Tucker, just eligible recently.

Speaker 1 Justin Tucker. Justin Tucker.

Speaker 4 Justin Tucker. Think about it.

Speaker 1 By the way, this is ⁇ so if the Giants beat the Packers at

Speaker 1 if they're plus seven or above, it will be the biggest upset in the first game for an interim head coach since 2011 when the Chiefs actually beat the Packers as 11-point underdogs.

Speaker 1 And I was looking at that game, like, is there any way the Giants can replicate this? I don't think so because that was when Todd Haley got fired.

Speaker 1 And that might be an all-time guy we fucking hate gets fired. Everyone's pumped.
Yeah. Situation.

Speaker 4 Yeah, I agree with that. I think Kafka might be too smart to be an effective interim head coach.

Speaker 1 He might, it might not be.

Speaker 1 He will be, I think he'll have success down the line here.

Speaker 1 He doesn't get the rah-rah,

Speaker 1 a fat guy running through a wall. Right.

Speaker 4 He would watch an interim head coach take over and be like, this is highly irregular. I'm not sure how this translates to winning.

Speaker 1 Yeah, and it seemed like everyone in the Giants like Brian Dable. Yeah.
So you don't get that bump. You don't get like a, hey, we fired Brian Kelly or Todd Haley.
Thank God that guy's gone.

Speaker 4 Do you think Brian Dable watches this game?

Speaker 1 Hmm. No, because Jackson Dart's not playing.
Yeah, I agree. If Jackson Dart was playing, he probably would watch it.

Speaker 4 I agree. He's probably down in Alabama already.

Speaker 1 He might be down in Alabama.

Speaker 4 Yeah, he might be. He might, or maybe back in Buffalo.

Speaker 1 Yeah, maybe back in Buffalo. Okay, next game.
Bengals. Steelers.

Speaker 1 Steelers are minus five and a half. Over-under is 49.5.

Speaker 1 I think the Steelers are going to win this game.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 And I think they're going to cover the spread. Okay.

Speaker 1 Do you have this as a hungry dog?

Speaker 1 So the Bengals' defense is so, so, so, so bad.

Speaker 1 There have been five games this year where a team has given up 500-plus yards of offense. So the defense has given up 500-plus yards of offense.
Three of those five games are from the Bengals.

Speaker 1 So the Bengals have more games where they've given up 500-plus yards of offense than the entire NFL combined. That's crazy.
It's nuts. So

Speaker 1 what's the fix for Aaron Rodgers looking old and looking like he doesn't want to play football anymore and the Steelers being stuck in mud? It's the Bengals defense.

Speaker 4 Yeah, I mean, I know Tomlin is afraid of Flacco. Yeah.
Flacco has historically been the best quarterback against the Steelers over the last 15.

Speaker 4 I think he's 12 and 13 in his career against the Steelers,

Speaker 4 which is more than any other starting quarterback since 2008, back when Flacco was drafted. No other quarterback since then has more than seven wins versus Pittsburgh.

Speaker 4 So I do understand why he would be a little gun-shy around Flacco, but I do agree. I think that the Bengals defense is just historically atrocious, dog shit.
And the Steelers might have gotten,

Speaker 4 maybe they got better on defense. I don't know.
A little bit. So they got Asante Samuel Jr.
Yeah. So he's going to be there.
Now they have, I count four sons on the Steelers. You've got the Haywards.

Speaker 1 The Porter.

Speaker 4 Joey Porter Jr. and Asante Samuel Jr.

Speaker 4 Which good for them.

Speaker 1 And what happened to Asante Samuel Jr.? He had a spinal tap?

Speaker 4 He had spinal fusion surgery.

Speaker 1 I actually read that the doctor that did the surgery is the Steelers doctor. Dr.

Speaker 4 David Anconquo.

Speaker 1 So that's good. Yep.
They got a little synergy there.

Speaker 4 Some inside information. Yeah.
He was like, I will fix you up correctly because we want you on the Steelers.

Speaker 1 Yeah, the guy who did the surgery is not going to say, I don't think he can play.

Speaker 4 Yeah, there's got to be a Steelers doctor out there that if Lamar came to him in the offseason being like, please repair my sports hernia. Yeah.
He would like tie the groin muscle to the kneecap.

Speaker 4 Yeah.

Speaker 4 Must win for the Bengals.

Speaker 1 I'd say must win for both win for both teams.

Speaker 4 It's a double must win because I'm not ready to write the Bengals off entirely.

Speaker 1 You said that and I looked at it more and I

Speaker 1 actually agree with you.

Speaker 4 Because of the schedule and how that division is shaking out, if they win this game, they still have two games against the Ravens. So the Bengals are not out of it.

Speaker 4 The Steelers, it does feel like this is the most down and out division leading team has been this time of year in a long time. Yeah.

Speaker 4 Like everyone's writing them off and being like, they're not going to win that division. Yeah.
So it's got to start Sunday.

Speaker 1 Also, something to watch for this game, we could have an all-time bad field because Notre Dame and Pitt play, I think, like Saturday, is it Saturday night or afternoon?

Speaker 1 And obviously, that happens a lot where Pitt plays and the Steelers have a game. They try to not have back-to-back games, but it's also later in the year.

Speaker 1 This is when Heinzfield, I still call it Heinz Field. It is.
It is going to look like absolute dog shit.

Speaker 6 Yep.

Speaker 1 Yep. Maybe, maybe to the Steelers' benefit, because

Speaker 1 they weren't able to stop Jamar Chase last time.

Speaker 4 He had 16 catches last time they played. And he probably could have had 20.

Speaker 1 It's crazy. It's crazy.
So, yeah, this field is going to look like shit, and we're going to have to notice that it looks like shit. Okay, Pitt's actually playing.

Speaker 1 They're playing at noon local time, so there's exactly 24 hours in between games.

Speaker 4 Ground screw working overnight? Yeah.

Speaker 1 To just move around a little bit of the sand.

Speaker 4 Yeah, spray paint this spot. Yeah,

Speaker 1 it's going to look like dog shit. Okay, next game.
We're going to the afternoon. No, we're staying in the morning.
This is the last early game.

Speaker 10 Chargers, Jaguars.

Speaker 1 Two teams I don't trust. Also, Jaguars are plus three over-under is 43.5.

Speaker 4 Very important game for playoffs, too. The most important game.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 So, do you have the numbers?

Speaker 4 I don't have the numbers.

Speaker 1 Okay, so the Jaguars have a

Speaker 1 57%

Speaker 1 chance of making the playoffs with a win, 19% chance with a loss. That's a wild swing.
The Chargers have a 91% chance of making the playoffs with a win, 58% chance with a loss.

Speaker 1 This is the most consequential. It's not the best game.
It is the most consequential game on Sunday. It's a playoff game.
It is a playoff game.

Speaker 4 It's a pre-playoff game, and I think I like the Chargers. I know they're on the road.
Jacksonville has, at times, looked good at home. Trevor Lawrence has not looked right recently.
Nope.

Speaker 4 He's been sacked the fifth most in the NFL, but when he takes a sack, he takes like a very, very obvious sack. Like he sacks himself a lot.

Speaker 4 And then Travis Hunter being out seems like

Speaker 4 it's going to be a problem because during the games where the offense looks bad for the Jags, they can always just get the ball to him in space and he'll make something happen.

Speaker 4 I know he's not the best receiver, best rookie receiver, but he's been good enough to the point where he's a weapon that you have to account for.

Speaker 4 And him out, I think he's out for the rest of the season. He is.
LCL,

Speaker 4 something like that.

Speaker 6 There's too many CLs.

Speaker 4 There's too many CLs. Just stick to MCL, ACL.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 LCL, what the fuck is that?

Speaker 4 And PCL?

Speaker 1 I don't even know if I have an LCL.

Speaker 4 No, we probably don't. Yeah.
But yeah, I had a thought. I was talking to chaps earlier about Trevor Lawrence and about how the relationship is going with some of his old coaches.
Okay.

Speaker 4 Urban Meyer didn't like him. Yeah.
But Urban Meyer doesn't really like anybody. That's facts.
Doug Peterson didn't really get along CI to I that well with Trevor.

Speaker 4 And now things are like a little bit dicey. I think Liam Cohen is still in the honeymoon phase where he's like, I can fix this guy.
I can make it happen.

Speaker 4 We should have the conversation, though, is Trevor Lawrence a coach killer?

Speaker 4 Is he good enough to get a coach fired because of all the expectations around him?

Speaker 1 Yeah. I think he might be

Speaker 1 Urban Meyer. And he is our colleague, but we could, listen, we could still say things.

Speaker 1 I think he killed himself.

Speaker 4 Yeah, unalive himself. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 That's a fact. I don't think that was Trevor Lawrence's doing.

Speaker 4 That was some strange co-editing.

Speaker 1 That was some fun shit. That was some fun shit.
I have two pro-Chargers stats, if you want them out there, if you're looking to bet on this game.

Speaker 1 The Chargers run a lot of gap scheme, their gap scheme-heavy run game, and the Jaguars are last in the NFL in defending gap scheme runs. So that might be a mismatch there.

Speaker 1 That's from Sports Info Solutions. And then since 2019, teams, after blowing a 14-plus point lead entering the fourth quarter, which the Jaguars blew a 19-point lead going into the fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 So teams that have done that 14-plus, blowing a fourth-quarter lead, are 5-13 straight up and 6-12 against the spread the next game.

Speaker 1 And they also, we've seen it four times this year, since week six, this year, all four teams are 0-4 straight up in their next game.

Speaker 4 Yeah, the Giants had an 18-point fourth-quarter lead, and they lost the next game by 18 points. Yeah.

Speaker 1 So the letdown is like a very deflating

Speaker 1 letdown of a loss for the Jaguars.

Speaker 4 I also think we might be getting into Harbaugh season. Could be.
I think this is going to be a Harbaugh season game where he's just going to run the ball down.

Speaker 4 He was pumped up after that game last week.

Speaker 4 I think his quote I'm paraphrasing was, you know, you win some games with brilliant execution and pretty offense.

Speaker 4 But this game, we just out-physicaled them. Yeah.

Speaker 4 I feel like that gave Harbaugh some life.

Speaker 4 Even though they're missing some of their offensive linemen, I think he sees a formula to just beat the fuck out of an opponent.

Speaker 1 Yeah, he talked about it in the halftime interview where he's like, we just got to keep being violent.

Speaker 6 Yeah. Something about that just pumps me up every time he does that.

Speaker 4 And I don't see Liam Cohen matching that violence.

Speaker 1 Yeah, there's not as much violence.

Speaker 4 Not even really any violence.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 No. Okay, afternoon.
We got some good ones, boys.

Speaker 4 Seahawks and Rams.

Speaker 1 That's my crown jewel. That's your crown jewel? Yeah.
Rams are plus three. Over-under is 48 and a half.
The Rams are wearing their midnight jerseys. Midnight mode.
Mitten, midnight mode jerseys.

Speaker 1 Yeah, check them out. Yeah, check them out, Hank.
Tell us what you think. Is this in the Hungry Dog?

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 It is.

Speaker 4 I love the Seahawks.

Speaker 1 I love the Rams. Whoa.

Speaker 4 The black unis. See, I don't love those on the Rams.

Speaker 1 I like the helmets.

Speaker 4 What about the blue shoulders?

Speaker 1 Ugh, Hank.

Speaker 4 It looks like a Swedish

Speaker 5 kind of.

Speaker 1 There you go. Take a sip.
Then let us know what you think. Do we find out what's happening to Devontae Adams?

Speaker 1 Deep dive.

Speaker 9 Devontae Adams did not practice, but he did do the walkthrough and still feels Sean McVay feels like he's committed to the team. He's going to play.

Speaker 4 That's right, yeah. He's going to play.
McVay kind of put that out there. I remember he was like, yeah, I don't want to speak for Devontae, but yeah, he's going to play.

Speaker 9 Yeah, I feel good about it. He's in Oblique, but

Speaker 9 Limit didn't really practice, but should be in a game.

Speaker 4 I love the Seahawks in this game. Seahawks have been dominant.
I know the Rams are great, too. They've been dominant in their own right.
It's the matchup of 1-2 in DVOA this weekend.

Speaker 4 And I just think I'm buying heavy on the Seahawks.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I like Rams.

Speaker 1 The Seahawks have been awesome. Seahawks also haven't had a lot of game pressure.
This game would, you would guess this game will be close. Yep.

Speaker 1 And Matthew Safford's playing out of his mind good right now. I know the Seahawks defense is very, very good.

Speaker 1 Something about that 13 personnel the Rams keep running with the three guys that just all look exactly the same.

Speaker 1 I might just bet all three of them to score a touchdown just so that if a big, tall, white guy is in the end zone, I just be like, yeah, I have that.

Speaker 4 That's probably him. I have that.

Speaker 1 Statistically, that has to be him. You know what? I am going to do that.

Speaker 1 Because it's happened a couple times where I've had Higby and it hasn't been Higby, but it looks like Higbee. I'm just going to spray the board of Rams.

Speaker 4 So, the big white Rams.

Speaker 4 I feel like the Seahawks are a team that would counter what the Rams are doing on offense. Their coach seems smart enough to

Speaker 4 truly understand.

Speaker 4 This is why we watch the game, guys. Because we've got offensive Wunderkind Sean McVay against defensive Wonderkinned McDonald.

Speaker 1 I'm more going, my bet is strictly, it has nothing to do with the Rams or the Seahawks overall because I think they're both very good teams. I'm taking Matthew Stafford over Sam Darnold at home.

Speaker 6 Yeah, that's fair.

Speaker 1 I think that's my entire kind of handicap of it.

Speaker 4 I'm taking the Seattle defensive line. Okay.
That's what I think has been a big difference maker for the Seahawks.

Speaker 1 Okay, so let's see. Who do we?

Speaker 1 So I have to bet Tyler Higbee. I got to bet Terrence Ferguson, Kobe Parkinson, and Davis Allen.

Speaker 1 Shit. That's a lot.

Speaker 4 That's a lot. lot.

Speaker 4 You know what? I might do that same thing with the Seahawks running backs.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that's smart.

Speaker 4 Get a mix in there. Get all three of them.

Speaker 1 And just so we're clear, they all do look exactly alike. Terrence Ferguson, white guy.
Yep.

Speaker 4 Would not expect that. Nope.

Speaker 1 But Colby Parkinson, you would expect.

Speaker 4 He sounds like Colby.

Speaker 1 Yeah, Colby. But they are all the same.
They've all scored touchdowns this year.

Speaker 1 We're going to sprinkle all the Rams, all the big white tight ends on the the Rams, and just hope that every...

Speaker 1 I'm going to have to do like double touchdowns on all because

Speaker 1 one of the big white guys in the Rams is going to score. Yeah.

Speaker 1 At some point. Yeah.

Speaker 4 I might take all three

Speaker 1 head to head. Head to head.
Head to half. Who ends up with more units? And Cooper Cup.
And Cooper Cup.

Speaker 1 He's getting,

Speaker 1 they might be doing something.

Speaker 1 They were. Tribute video? Yeah, tribute video, possibly.
He just said, I didn't die.

Speaker 6 So I don't think he wants one.

Speaker 4 That's the correct answer, by the way. Yeah.

Speaker 1 we do too many tribute videos yeah crazy sam darnold uh stat five years first five years career 21 and 35 record last two years 21 and 5.

Speaker 1 so in the first five years he is in the last year and a half of football he has tied the amount of wins that he had in his first five years in football yeah he's been he's been great he's been awesome uh memes do you find yourself rooting for or against sam darnold i always forget uh for sam darnold i like sam because that's also

Speaker 1 that's a situation where you're rooting for Sam Darnold because you're also like, see how stupid the Jets are.

Speaker 1 Right?

Speaker 1 No. Oh.

Speaker 7 See how stupid Joe Douglas is.

Speaker 1 Yeah, playing the guys that used to be in Roberts A. Okay.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 If you can get the right guys in,

Speaker 1 because that's also coaching, Sam Darnold.

Speaker 1 Well, yeah, Adam Gase was the worst coach in the world, but they also had the decision of taking Zach Wilson over Sam Darnold. True, true true.

Speaker 4 Hyperdrive, though.

Speaker 1 Hyperdrive wasn't sick. Yeah.
It was bad. Yeah, Big Cat.

Speaker 4 Got to

Speaker 4 guess who said this for you. Ooh, I like that.

Speaker 4 When talking about the Giants' opening for their head coach,

Speaker 4 Jackson Dart,

Speaker 4 Malik Neighbors, fuck yeah, would want that job. An offensive coach in the NFC.

Speaker 1 Said that? Said that. A current coach?

Speaker 4 A current offensive co-current offensive, no, offensive coach, not head coach,

Speaker 4 Cliff Kingsbury.

Speaker 4 No, I was, I mean, we don't know who said it because it was anonymous. Oh, my money is on Kubiak.

Speaker 1 Got it. Clint Kubiak.

Speaker 4 He's going to be the name that's going to get, if the Seahawks offense continues to be great, he will be a head coach next year. Yes, I agree.

Speaker 1 Shout out to Office Manager Brett.

Speaker 4 Again, don't have any idea if he actually said that, but I saw the quote and I was like, we're going to just attribute it to him.

Speaker 4 I thought it was Cliff for a second, but then I think it was a successful offensive coach this season. And Cliff would not fall into that category.

Speaker 1 That would not work. Okay, Niners, Cardinals, Cardinals plus three.
Cardinals have some injuries. Marvin Harrison, he had an appendectomy?

Speaker 4 Yeah, he had appendicitis.

Speaker 1 Appendicitis. And then we also lost Zay Jones for the year.

Speaker 1 Achilles.

Speaker 1 And Brock Purdy might be back.

Speaker 4 So Shanahan said that he could have played last week, which is confusing to me. Because if he could have played last week...

Speaker 1 Why didn't he play? Why didn't he play? Yeah, why didn't he play?

Speaker 4 Soft benching?

Speaker 1 They had a soft benching. They said that they ran him through an aggressive practice on Wednesday.
Yeah. With the goal of having him come back.

Speaker 1 I want to say that the Niners are going to win this game, but I don't know. I agree.
I don't know.

Speaker 4 I agree. I think that the Cardinals are

Speaker 1 a big-time bummer, right? They're a big-time bummer, but remember, they did have a couple games in a row, and Jacoby Brissette did okay, but maybe we just got fooled by Jacoby Brissett again.

Speaker 4 It happens, it happens, it happens almost every year.

Speaker 1 I had the Cardinals last week, I got big-time fooled

Speaker 1 over so fast.

Speaker 4 He has looked a lot better than Kyler Murray's looked this season. That's not a mistake.
He's better right now.

Speaker 1 The question is: yeah, so he looked better against the Cowboys defense. I do, the Niners, as injured as they are, I do say the Niners are probably a little bit better than the Cowboys defensively.

Speaker 1 So, yeah,

Speaker 1 I lean Niners, but not really a game I want to. With the Crown Jewels in the afternoon, I don't know if this is a game I want to bet.
No, no, I, well, I will.

Speaker 4 Right, but I don't want to. I don't want to.
I'm being forced to by my own brain.

Speaker 4 But yeah, I don't think it really matters that much this weekend who's starting. I think that Brock Purdy is definitely the better quarterback overall.

Speaker 4 But in this matchup, yeah, I'm fine. I'm fine.
If you want to hold Brock out one more week, make sure, because I don't really trust that Brock is being completely honest about his foot. Yeah.

Speaker 4 I think that from the very start, he was like, it's not that bad.

Speaker 1 And Mac Jones has been playing well.

Speaker 4 Mac Jones has been playing pretty well.

Speaker 1 Mac Jones. Yep.
Okay, Ravens at Browns. Browns plus 7.5.
Over-under is 39.5.

Speaker 1 You can get a, here are the following items that are more expensive than a ticket to the game on game time. A cheeseburger, stadium nachos, a beer, and a hot dog.

Speaker 1 All cost more than getting into the game. Love that.
So not exactly a high-ticketed game with the Browns.

Speaker 1 They're just the Browns.

Speaker 1 What's the Browns' first half line? That's what we got to do. I say it every week.
I might just bet that.

Speaker 1 I might just bet the Browns plus three and a half first half and know that they're going to lose the game.

Speaker 1 Because they will lose this game.

Speaker 4 Speaking of the Browns, I saw a hypothetical trade, Kyler Murray for Shador.

Speaker 4 Think about it.

Speaker 1 I saw someone float out, is Kyler Murray the heir apparent to Matthew Stafford?

Speaker 4 See, that's what I'm saying. I do think that Kyler Murray, if he finds himself.

Speaker 1 It's got to be the right coach.

Speaker 4 It's got to be a good coach.

Speaker 4 I'm not ready to completely, I'm not shorting for the long-term Kyler Murray. He's already short enough right now.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 4 I'm buying long-term stock at penny prices right now for him. By the way, R.I.P.
the penny. R.I.P.
the Penny. We minted our last penny yesterday.
What? Penny's dead. Yeah, Philadelphia.
Holy Philly.

Speaker 4 Philly killed the penny.

Speaker 4 No more pennies.

Speaker 1 How do they...

Speaker 4 No, there's they're not making any more pennies.

Speaker 1 Is it enough?

Speaker 4 It was costing four cents per penny.

Speaker 1 Holy shit. To make.
And yeah. So we should have stopped that a while ago.

Speaker 10 Get out of here.

Speaker 8 We're just not doing pennies.

Speaker 4 No more pennies. We got enough.

Speaker 1 But pennies still exist. Yeah.

Speaker 4 Well, no one's going to show up and confiscate your pennies.

Speaker 1 Yeah, they don't take them away.

Speaker 8 But are banks still going to have pennies?

Speaker 1 Probably not.

Speaker 4 When was the last time you actually used a penny?

Speaker 1 Never. Ever.

Speaker 1 You can't even flip a coin with a penny.

Speaker 1 Flip a coin with a penny. It's not a real flip of a coin.

Speaker 8 So what happens if you're getting changed and you need to use pennies? And the place doesn't have pennies. Do they just have to round up?

Speaker 4 I think they either round up or down

Speaker 5 down

Speaker 4 yeah i mean who when was the last time if i if i got like a nickel or a penny that's no different from having trash in my hand i'm pretty much that way with all change but yeah yeah i don't the last time i used a penny had to be on a scratch off

Speaker 4 like to scratch it that's a good point not to buy it i i don't i can't remember the last time i handed somebody a penny as part of a payment

Speaker 1 bitcoin man bitcoin that has nothing to do with this but Bitcoin, man.

Speaker 1 Good point, Alex.

Speaker 4 What were we talking about?

Speaker 1 The Browns and the Ravens. Yeah.

Speaker 4 The Ravens might be doing some sneaky stuff on defense.

Speaker 4 So the Ravens' defense has, it looks like they've turned the corner,

Speaker 4 and that's fueled their comeback, and that's why everybody's saying the Ravens combined with their defense and their schedule. They look to be in a good position to win that division.

Speaker 4 Against the Vikings last week, the Vikings had eight false start penalties against the Ravens, and that's the most by home team in the last 16 seasons. Whoa, kind of an outlier game for him.
And then

Speaker 4 the Vikings offense, specifically Aaron Jones, said that they were doing like little yells and movements at the line of scrimmage. Oh, they're cheating.
Trying to get them to.

Speaker 4 Well, they didn't call it.

Speaker 4 But is John Harbaugh up to his old tricks? Yeah.

Speaker 4 Gray area. Found something.
Hank, do you have any animosity still towards John

Speaker 4 for either bending the rules or complaining about when you bent the rules?

Speaker 1 No, I mean, he's just a bit of a loser, but that's all right. Okay.
Why did you say that to his face when we saw him? Is it kind of like the windmill?

Speaker 1 You just talk all this shit on the podcast, then you see something face to face. I don't like to talk shit about people on this podcast.
You guys just force me into situations

Speaker 1 similar to Big Tom. You didn't give a word about the windmill.
You talk shit about the windmill, and then you just didn't say anything to its face.

Speaker 1 We weren't even close to the windmill. The windmills are so big that we were like thousands of yards away.

Speaker 4 Oh, no, you were staring eye to eye with the windmill.

Speaker 1 And what about John Harbaugh? I like John Harbaugh. He's a good guest on the show.

Speaker 4 But a bit of a loser, is what you said.

Speaker 1 I mean, that's just statistically correct.

Speaker 1 He's won one Super Bowl. Yeah.
He's been coaching for how many seasons?

Speaker 4 He beat his brother.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 He's a bit. He's a bit of a winner, too.

Speaker 1 Oh,

Speaker 1 there it is.

Speaker 1 Bit of a winner. Yeah.
Tiny bit of a winner. Tiny bit of a loser.
They haven't made the Super Bowl with Lamar Jackson how many times? Yeah. And we might not.

Speaker 1 Is that wrong to say? No, that's not wrong to say. We might not get Lamar.
He's banged up, didn't practice on Wednesday. It could be Tyler Huntley playing against

Speaker 1 week 10 rookie of the week nominee Dylan Gabriel. Yeah.
So huge matchup. Also, here's something crazy.
The Ravens have lost three out of the last four in Cleveland.

Speaker 4 That is crazy. I think that these games should count towards Lamar's playoff stats.
Every game's a playoff game for the Ravens. Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 1 You're right.

Speaker 4 In theory, it's like they can't drop it on these ones.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you're absolutely right. This is a weird afternoon game.

Speaker 1 It's kind of just put into. This just screams one o'clock.
Yeah.

Speaker 4 How many Browns fans are going to show up for the tailgate thinking that the game kicks off at one?

Speaker 4 A lot. I'd say probably a couple thousand.
Yes, absolutely.

Speaker 4 This might be the drunkest fan base of the week.

Speaker 1 Like, Packers Giants should be at 3.25.

Speaker 1 Bucks Bills should be at 3.25. Yeah.

Speaker 4 There's going to be dudes in the muni lot at 4 a.m. anticipating a 1 p.m.
kickoff and then finding out they got three extra hours to drink. It's going to be a problem.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Okay, last afternoon game. Chiefs at Broncos.
Broncos are plus 3.5. Over-under is 43.5.

Speaker 1 I love the Chiefs. Love the Chiefs.
I love the Chiefs. Love the Chiefs.
Andy Reid off a bye, 22-4.

Speaker 1 In the regular season.

Speaker 1 I'm not going to say the Broncos are frauds yet.

Speaker 1 But it is a little

Speaker 1 something sniffing around where it's like they're 8-2 and they're struggling with a lot of teams. And

Speaker 1 yeah, I think the Chiefs are going to. I think

Speaker 1 the line says everything here. The Chiefs are 5-4.
The Broncos are 8-2.

Speaker 1 The Broncos are 3.5-point underdogs at home.

Speaker 7 Yeah,

Speaker 1 that doesn't make any sense.

Speaker 4 Yeah, I mean, every game is now, much like the Ravens, a must-win for the Chiefs. This is probably their most important game of the season.

Speaker 4 Because if they lose per the athletic, their odds of winning the AFC West, 7%.

Speaker 1 Ooh.

Speaker 4 That's of winning the division.

Speaker 1 Here's what I actually kind of like. Throwing this out there.
I think the Chiefs are going to beat the Broncos. I think you bet the Broncos to win the AFC West after they lose to the Chiefs.
Okay.

Speaker 1 Because they actually have...

Speaker 1 Not that tough of a schedule down the stretch. They do play the Chiefs again.
Can you pull up the Broncos schedule? So they're at eight wins right now.

Speaker 1 So if they lose to the Chiefs, they'll be eight and three. Everyone will overreact and be like, oh, well, the Chiefs are going to win the AFC West now.

Speaker 1 They play the Commanders, Raiders, Packers, Jaguars in their next four. Like,

Speaker 1 if you want to say that they can win the Commanders, Raiders, Jaguars game,

Speaker 1 what are they going to do? They got to win one of the Packers, Chiefs, Chargers games to get to 12 wins. Does 12 wins do it? Yeah.
So I think that's the move. You wait for the Chiefs to pound them.

Speaker 1 You wait for everyone to overreact.

Speaker 1 Then you jump on the Broncos to win the ASCII.

Speaker 4 What's the Chargers' record right now?

Speaker 1 Chargers 7-3.

Speaker 4 7-3, and they started off on that heater against the division.

Speaker 6 They were 3-0.

Speaker 4 Yeah, so I...

Speaker 1 Yeah, the Chargers could obviously.

Speaker 4 I understand the logic behind it. If it's strictly between the Broncos and the Chiefs, that wouldn't be a bad idea.

Speaker 1 Yeah, no, the Chargers kind of get in there a little bit.

Speaker 4 This is Bo

Speaker 4 hears the critics sometimes but only when they say it to his face

Speaker 1 hank bonix wants to hear he only takes the criticism seriously if you're man enough to say it right to him well i agree with that yeah he deleted his social media well i agree with that too i mean it is the i i i saw an interview christian bale had an interview it's long long ago but it was made perfect sense especially for anyone in the public eye it's actually helped me personally if someone says something about you uh and they don't have your phone number to tell you face-to-face, then they don't know you well enough to say something about you.

Speaker 4 It's true.

Speaker 1 They don't know.

Speaker 1 If they can't say it to you on the phone or face-to-face, that means they don't know you. And so whatever they're saying is just ill-informed.

Speaker 1 That might be what Bo Nick's going for.

Speaker 4 I'm looking at some stats right now. This stat's been making the rounds.
The comparison of Mahomes and Bo Nicks since Bo got into the league. Mahomes, 6,277 passing yards.

Speaker 4 Bo Nick's 5,901 passing yards. Mahomes 43 pass touchdowns, Bo Nick's 47 pass touchdowns.
Mahomes 16 picks, Bo 20 picks.

Speaker 4 Mahomes 592 rush yards, Bo Nick's 635 rush yards, Mahomes six rushing touchdowns, Bo Nick's seven rushing touchdowns. Are they the same guy?

Speaker 1 No.

Speaker 4 I'm going to say no. I'm going to say I'm going to agree with you and say no about that one.
Yeah, I'm going to say no.

Speaker 4 Bo Nick's at times looks incredible, and then at other times, does look like Tim Tebow. Well, I guess he, at times, he looks like Tim Tebow, at other times, he looks like Tim Tebow.

Speaker 1 Yes, that makes sense.

Speaker 4 It does make if you're a Broncos fan, you get it.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you get it. And it makes perfect sense.
Yeah, I like,

Speaker 1 I think this is going to be Chiefs.

Speaker 4 All Chiefs. I think this is Chiefs.

Speaker 1 I agree. This is a nuke.
Nuke Chiefs. Nuke Chiefs.
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 4 Altitude?

Speaker 1 Not worried about it. The Chiefs don't lose these games.
This is.

Speaker 1 Are you doing a reverse? No.

Speaker 4 But I thought you have to be worried about Mahomes.

Speaker 1 Are you forgetting? I am worried about Mahomes.

Speaker 4 I don't think he's worried about Mahomes anymore.

Speaker 1 I am worried about Mom. What do you mean? Okay.

Speaker 1 This is like the classic game where it's like, oh, the Chiefs might lose this game. No.

Speaker 1 I agree.

Speaker 1 Last game. Sunday Night Football.
Another crown jewel. That's me putting respect on Mahomes' name.
I like that. Lions and Eagles.
Eagles are minus two and a half. Over-unders, 46.5.

Speaker 1 Oh,

Speaker 1 you like the Lions? Love the Lions. You love the Lions.

Speaker 8 Everyone loves the Lions.

Speaker 1 I like the Eagles.

Speaker 7 Everyone loves the Lions.

Speaker 1 Everyone loved the Eagles on Monday. That's not true.

Speaker 8 Everyone loved the Packers, too.

Speaker 1 Did you know that Chris Broussard said this is a double must-win?

Speaker 1 Chris Broussard? Yeah, Broussard. He said it's a double must-win.

Speaker 1 The Lions need a signature win, and Philadelphia needs a win to keep A.J. Brown happy.
I completely disagree with both.

Speaker 8 The win means nothing to A.J. Brown.

Speaker 1 Signature wins do not, it's not the BCS. None of that fucking matters.

Speaker 4 A.J. Brown has

Speaker 4 been unhappy after wins, even when he scores.

Speaker 8 He literally said, I don't care about wins or losses when the offense looks like it does.

Speaker 1 It's actually, so A.J. Brown had a pretty good.

Speaker 1 He had a media availability. So the week is gone.

Speaker 1 The Eagles win Monday football, and A.J. Brown goes on, plays some video games, and tells everyone who has him in fantasy to drop him because

Speaker 1 he ain't doing shit.

Speaker 1 And then he talked to the media, and he said it's not about Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 1 But the offense is kind of stuck in mud.

Speaker 1 He shouldn't do this as much of a distraction as, but everything he said was kind of right. Like, the Eagles are winning, but the offense does not look good.

Speaker 1 That's facts.

Speaker 4 And people should drop me for fan. Yeah, he has not had a great season.

Speaker 4 You shouldn't say any of this shit.

Speaker 1 I'm okay with it. Yeah.
Listen,

Speaker 4 it was said on Twitch stream. It was a heated gaming moment.

Speaker 1 Those things happen. Yeah, they happen.
How are you feeling, Max?

Speaker 1 About A.J. Brown? About everything.
Must win.

Speaker 5 Sure, must-win.

Speaker 4 No, you don't mean that. All right, so that's not must-win.
It's not a must-win. No, it's not a must-win for you.

Speaker 8 I mean, every single week the Eagles play another top team in the NFL, and it's a must-win. Every week.

Speaker 8 We have the hardest fucking schedule of all time.

Speaker 8 And here we go again. It's going to be another must-win.
We'll probably win again, and everyone will still say the Eagles suck.

Speaker 8 It's just the same thing over and over, week after week. And that's just the way it is.
Yeah, I actually agree with that.

Speaker 1 I think the Lions are very good. Obviously, the Lions secondary is getting back to health.
The Lions outdoors are different than the Lions at home.

Speaker 1 This feels like maybe this could very well be the NFC Championship preview.

Speaker 1 And I do respect Dan Campbell for standing on the table. Remember, Dan Campbell was the only one of the teams that were playing the Eagles this year that voted to keep the tush push.
He had a great

Speaker 1 I'm a purist. You take something out of the game, then we're taking the next thing out of the game, and pretty soon we don't have pads anymore.
Then pretty soon you're only playing 30 minutes.

Speaker 1 They've got a niche. They've found something.
They're good at it. And it's for everybody else to stop.
That's a man. That's a man.
Pretty soon we're going to take pads away.

Speaker 1 Pads out of the of the game.

Speaker 5 That was such a funny way to play.

Speaker 6 They played 30 minutes.

Speaker 1 Yep.

Speaker 4 No,

Speaker 4 I do like the Lions this week. No disrespect to Max.
I just think.

Speaker 1 No, I want everyone to.

Speaker 8 Everybody likes the Lions. I'm actually mad that Big Cat doesn't like the Lions.

Speaker 1 There's probably a little bias. Well, I also would like you to finish the Alliance.

Speaker 1 This is a big Alliance moment.

Speaker 4 I also think the Eagles' offense...

Speaker 4 I get frustrated watching it for you.

Speaker 4 It can't be fun watching that because, in theory,

Speaker 4 you have the best running back, you've got a Super Bowl champion quarterback, Super Bowl MVP quarterback, you've got two incredible wide receivers, you've got a great tight end, and you have the best offensive line in football.

Speaker 8 The best offensive line in football is very banged up right now.

Speaker 8 Three starters are down.

Speaker 4 Oh, you got three down now? Yes.

Speaker 1 Well,

Speaker 1 three are limited.

Speaker 4 Yeah, Juergen's.

Speaker 8 That's a big test is if

Speaker 8 Lane plays. If Lane plays,

Speaker 8 if Lane doesn't play, I will not be as confident because the Lions have a good pass rush and

Speaker 8 we need our offensive line to

Speaker 8 be sturdy.

Speaker 8 I don't know. I still feel good.

Speaker 8 The Eagles are just kind of that new team in the NFL that they're so good and they win every week, but everyone loves to hate them.

Speaker 8 And then it's just inevitable that we just keep winning football games.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean, but the criticisms criticisms of Kevin Petullo and the offense are fair.

Speaker 8 Yeah,

Speaker 8 and we're still 7-2.

Speaker 8 Like,

Speaker 8 if the season's not over, teams get better throughout the season, offenses can get better

Speaker 8 if they can figure it out. Good luck.
The defense last night, last week, looked insane.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 8 It looked insane

Speaker 8 with our defensive linebacker.

Speaker 1 And now you have Dan Campbell calling plays. Do you think there's a chance Nick Siriani should start calling plays? Pulling to Dan Campbell?

Speaker 5 No, not yet.

Speaker 4 I think Dan Campbell was also very smart about that. Yeah.
He was very smart. He's like, yeah, you know, I think maybe this week, who are we playing again? Oh, the commander.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you know what?

Speaker 4 I'll give Play Collin a shot this week. You'll see if that looks a little bit better.
You're right. Very smart move by him.
Oh, also, with the Broncos, jumping back one game. Yep.

Speaker 4 Do they ever play games on the road? It doesn't feel that way. Or do they only play home games? Did the Broncos get the first schedule where they get every game at home?

Speaker 1 Well, it was the combo when they played the Eagles and then played overseas in back-to-back weeks. I feel like that was just all their road games of the year.
Probably, yeah.

Speaker 4 They probably tick up a little bit at the end of the season, but I think it's four out of five at home.

Speaker 1 Yeah, it does feel like we've watched a lot of, and I love watching, there's something about mile high and just

Speaker 1 you get a little romantic about football and just there's something about it.

Speaker 4 Although, to Hank's point, when?

Speaker 8 I'm more so, I'm looking at the Lions schedule. The Lions' three losses that they have, the Eagles have beat every single game.

Speaker 1 Okay, we were talking about the game. I know.

Speaker 8 I didn't, that's why I

Speaker 5 tried to cut myself off.

Speaker 1 You literally turned your mic on just to go,

Speaker 1 well, but then because I was going to say something, I was like, I shouldn't say it.

Speaker 5 Say it.

Speaker 1 Say it. I mean, lost to the Packers,

Speaker 8 Eagles beat them.

Speaker 8 Got smoked by the Chiefs, Eagles beat them. Lost to the Vikings, Eagles beat them.
And they lost the Vikings at home.

Speaker 1 It's a Packer.

Speaker 8 It's a Lions suck fest because they score a lot of points against shitty fucking teams.

Speaker 1 There you go. Get the heat up.
The Lions finish the job, Max.

Speaker 8 This is just, yeah, this is just what the Lions do every fucking year. They score a lot of points against shitty fucking teams, and everyone thinks that they're the best,

Speaker 1 whatever. If the Eagles win on Sunday night, I think we'll put the Chiladelphia Beagles shirts back on stale because those are fun shirts.

Speaker 4 They looked ridiculous. They were cool dogs.

Speaker 1 They were very cool dogs. But you're right.
The Broncos don't play on the road. They don't play on the road.

Speaker 4 Yeah. And they get the altitude.

Speaker 1 Okay, let's do our fantasy minute. Let's do our picks.
Let's do our picks first. So we have the touchdown parlay.
We won last week. Shout out to everyone who rode with us.
It was like 14 to 1.

Speaker 1 What are we doing? Let's win.

Speaker 1 I would like Rashi Rice.

Speaker 1 Okay, okay.

Speaker 4 PFT. I think that's a very good pick, Hank.

Speaker 4 For mine, I am going to take...

Speaker 1 I'll take the Sunday night game if you want.

Speaker 4 Okay, all right. Who do you got Sunday night?

Speaker 1 AJ Brown. Oh, okay.

Speaker 1 We have to, right? I like that. We have to.
Oh, yeah. There's one other one to where we could if we really want to get nuts.
Jerry Koff? No. Oh, no, no, no.
Who? Amondra. Oh.
Yeah.

Speaker 4 I don't want to do that again. Okay.

Speaker 1 I think we got to do AJ Brown. I like that.
Yeah, A.J. Brown's good.
I agree. I actually agree.

Speaker 4 I'm going to go. You know what? I'll go JSN.

Speaker 4 Okay. He's plus 135.
I like this. I like that a lot.

Speaker 1 This is, this is, Let's put this all together. Let's get us.

Speaker 1 1,100. Okay.
So we won it last week. Let's win it again for the people.
Love this.

Speaker 1 We're up on the year. Yeah, we are up on the year.

Speaker 1 Ride with us.

Speaker 1 We will be streaming the afternoon and night game. So we'll be riding with the people.
Let's do Jerry's Fantasy Minute Fantasy Fuck Boys.

Speaker 1 I don't know what happened yesterday, but Jerry texted PFT and I said, give me Memes' number

Speaker 1 and said, I didn't want it before because of his negative attitude. I'm like, okay.
But he sent this to you directly, Memes?

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 What else did he say to you? Some stuff about you. Oh, okay.

Speaker 1 What else? Don't worry about it.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 4 Instagram links?

Speaker 1 No, no Instagram links. Okay.

Speaker 1 All right. Cool.

Speaker 1 Did you already watch this, memes?

Speaker 1 I did. That's illegal.
What do you mean? We're supposed to watch it all together.

Speaker 9 I didn't know the rules. Okay, that's fine.

Speaker 1 That's a lie. Yeah, he's a lie.

Speaker 11 Start the music for me. Start the music.
I got one minute.

Speaker 11 Hey, what's up? Welcome to Fantasy Fuck Boys. Getting my sweat on.
Very important. You got to work out once a day.
Get a sweat on.

Speaker 11 This week, we're going to sit people who come to work at the most contagious part of their sickness, right at the beginning, especially if you work in a small confines like a podcasting studio.

Speaker 11 Give it to everybody. Hank, you like the herpes monkeys that escaped off the truck.

Speaker 1 We're going to sit travel vans.

Speaker 11 It's over. They voted.
Anybody can come from this country. Come on.

Speaker 1 Come to Plymouth Rock, where Hank is from. It's over.

Speaker 1 We're gonna sit.

Speaker 11 People who use S when they say Illinois.

Speaker 1 Come on, Todd. I have nothing to do with Illinois.
I know it's Illinois. No S there, dude.

Speaker 11 We're gonna sit the entire staff at PMT because Hank gave them monkeypox. Bye-bye.

Speaker 7 We're gonna start Joe Blacco. Rare double revenge game.

Speaker 1 Baltimore.

Speaker 11 And Joe Burrows in the building. And start the Green Bay defense.
I did it. Call.

Speaker 1 1-800 vaccination. Hank, you fuck.
Oh, his taste coughing right now.

Speaker 1 The double revenge game.

Speaker 4 Yeah, Joe Flacco against the Steelers.

Speaker 1 Because it was a Raven. He played college football.
No,

Speaker 1 because the Ravens hated the Steelers, I think.

Speaker 4 Yeah, I guess so. Yeah.
Yeah, I think that travels with you. I think if you're a...
If you're a Ravens, for the most part, you will continue to hate the Steelers. Yeah, I'd agree.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 I'd agree. What are you guys laughing about in there?

Speaker 1 No, nothing. What?

Speaker 4 What? So funny.

Speaker 1 What's so funny? Share with the class.

Speaker 7 We just said

Speaker 8 we just said Pat's dinner. It looks like a good dinner.

Speaker 1 What was it?

Speaker 1 It was just two pieces of pizza, garlic knots, and MMs. That's not enough, Zach.

Speaker 1 It's a good spread, though. Yeah, that is a good spread.
He hit a lot of categories. Okay.

Speaker 1 Picks, and then we'll get to our interview with Joel Clatt. Who's up first? And what are the records?

Speaker 1 We don't know.

Speaker 7 PFT is up first.

Speaker 1 Okay. Okay.

Speaker 1 Pick

Speaker 1 has 13 points. Max is 11.
I have 10. Memes and Zach have 9.
PFT has 8.

Speaker 4 I'm going to go Ravens, Browns, under

Speaker 4 39.5.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 I am going to go with

Speaker 1 the

Speaker 1 Kansas City Chiefs minus 3.5. You know what I mean? Come on.
We both like it. Fuck you.
Kids City Chiefs minus three and a half.

Speaker 1 Give me the

Speaker 1 Spunder 47 and a half. The Spunder.

Speaker 4 Madrunder. I love the Munder.

Speaker 1 The Madrunder. Commander's Dolphins under 47.5.
I wish I could bet the fucking Chiefs.

Speaker 1 I'll go Bucks plus six.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 8 I'm going to go Jags plus three.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 9 I would like to go Falcons minus three and a half.

Speaker 1 And

Speaker 9 I would also like to go under 48.5 in the Seahawks Rams game.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 8 I will go under 44.5 in Chiefs, Broncos.

Speaker 4 I will go over Packers, Giants, 42.5.

Speaker 1 I don't know, man. I like that pick, memes.
That was my pick. Fuck.

Speaker 1 I will take the motherfucking

Speaker 1 motherfucking.

Speaker 1 Can I get Browns plus seven and a half? Yeah, that's what it is right now.

Speaker 8 I like that too. I was debating that one.
I'll take that.

Speaker 1 I like that. Browns plus seven and a half.
Prey Lamar doesn't absolutely get it. Prey Lamar doesn't play.

Speaker 1 Browns plus seven and a half. Did anyone take the

Speaker 1 Steelers Bengals over?

Speaker 4 I don't think so. I'm just going to do it.

Speaker 1 49.5. All right.
Bengals overs.

Speaker 4 I'm going to take the New York Football Giants plus seven. Okay.
Against the Packers.

Speaker 4 Jameis. Jameis.
Seven. It's a lot of points.

Speaker 1 Jameis. Jameis.

Speaker 4 And now here's Joel Clatt.

Speaker 1 Okay, we now welcome on a very, very, very, very, very special guest. It is Joel Clatt.
You can listen to him on the Joel Clatt show, which is a great college football show.

Speaker 1 You also can hear him every single Saturday, big noon kickoff with Gus Johnson. Joel, this is actually serendipity because

Speaker 1 I had one of our fans tweet us and be like, can you guys please get Joel Clatt on? Nice. Last night.
I love it. He's going to be in town.
I was like, it's already planned. I love it.

Speaker 1 So this is a guest that I think a lot of people wanted. We're excited to have you here, but I have a very important question to ask you to start.
Okay.

Speaker 1 Did you think we were maybe about to lose Gus Johnson at the Indiana

Speaker 1 Penn State game?

Speaker 7 I did see there was, I can't remember who, who tweeted it, but I saw one of the tweets right after it was like, Indiana broke Gus Johnson.

Speaker 7 And I will tell you, I've worked with him for 11 years and I've never heard him crack. Yeah.
I knew he was struggling a little bit with a cold last week. And then, like, I didn't hear it all game.

Speaker 7 And he has given some big calls because it's a great game. And then

Speaker 7 when that play happened,

Speaker 7 there was two thoughts. One, I was like, there's no way he's in bounds.
And two, I was like, oh, he cracked right there.

Speaker 1 I thought we had lost him. I thought we lost him for a second.
Yeah, I was like, Joel's going to have to finish this broadcast. We don't have Gus Johnson anymore.

Speaker 7 He is so, here's what I love about working with Gus is that.

Speaker 7 Well,

Speaker 7 we all watch and consume sports all the time, guys.

Speaker 7 And as you know, and this is not a knock against all these other guys, but everybody has like a prepared call, you know and ready to go and that's great and it can be iconic there's no doubt gus reacts with pure

Speaker 7 emotion in the moment just like you're sitting on the couch with it and i think that's what resonates yeah and that's what you heard on saturday and and and it's we say this because you know we're we're good friends with joe buck and and we've had a lot of broadcasters on like your guys

Speaker 1 camaraderie and relationship comes through on the broadcast.

Speaker 1 And I think that's such an underrated part of watching a game where the two guys that are calling the game are friends and they have rapport. It comes across.
It makes it so much better.

Speaker 7 Well, thank you. First of all, that's nice of you to say.
And that's something that we effort. We talk about more so than the content.
We talk about the sound and the rhythm of the broadcast.

Speaker 7 And he actually taught me that.

Speaker 7 He's obviously so experienced and he's so good at what he does.

Speaker 7 And I remember when I first started working with him, he used to talk to me and he was like, hey, listen, man, we're just in the double Dutch dutch right now. Don't trip the rope.

Speaker 7 He's like, because the fan just wants the rhythm and they like it when they know who's speaking.

Speaker 7 So our voices are different and our cadence is correct, but just don't trip the rope, you know, and I think that that was, that was something that he taught me early on when I started working with him.

Speaker 7 And it's something that I've held on to ever since. And in the best ways, I focus on and he focuses on the rhythm of the broadcast in those moments.
And I think that I think that it works.

Speaker 7 Yeah, it does.

Speaker 4 It's a lot of fun to listen to. I did think that maybe he passed away, though.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that was after that.

Speaker 4 The scream he let out. In that moment, I think you did a good job of letting him breathe afterwards.
Like you weren't like checking on him, like, are you okay, partner? Yeah.

Speaker 4 How does that work? Because you were talking about like the double duts. You don't want to step over the other guy's lines.

Speaker 4 I think in podcasts, it's one thing because half of our job is like just yelling at each other. Sure.

Speaker 4 But when you're doing it in the booth and the game's going on, it's always nice to hear a booth like yours that lets the other person finish. There's a space, the other person begins.

Speaker 4 Do you guys, is that just the rhythm that you've established over the years? Or is there actually like physical touching? Like,

Speaker 4 I'm going to touch you while I'm talking. Yeah, yeah.
Hands off, you go.

Speaker 7 Very little like communication between us. So it's all a rhythm that is just unspoken.
And I think it comes with, and we focus on this, by the way, with our entire crew.

Speaker 7 I'll give our producer and director a big shout out as well.

Speaker 7 Chuck McDonald's our producer, Rich Dewey is our director, and the four of us, along with Jenny, so the five of us on the sideline, we understand

Speaker 7 that each one of us has a role for a certain moment within the game where the game is ours.

Speaker 7 You know, we know when it's Gus's time and everybody in that team knows, all right, it's Gus's time and he's going to go to 10 and that's the moment.

Speaker 7 Everyone knows when it's like, all right, it's time for Joel to set up what's going on,

Speaker 7 what's just happened. You know, it's my time in the game.
We know when it's the producer's time, he's backed up on breaks.

Speaker 7 We got to get some sales items in, and we're going to lay out a little bit more so that he can work. We know when the emotion in the stadium is so great that any words we say are going to ruin it.

Speaker 7 That's the director's time to take shots and cut around and bring the fan at home into the stadium.

Speaker 7 And then we know when it's time to get a story and further the story on the field and go down to Genny.

Speaker 7 So I think it's legitimately as nerdy as this sound, it's understanding your role just like any team.

Speaker 7 There's a book that I love. And again, I know this sounds nerdy, but there's this incredible leadership book called Good to Great by Jim Collins.

Speaker 7 And one of the premises in the book is that in any business or in any group, you've got to have the right people in the right seats on the bus in order for it to succeed.

Speaker 7 And that's how I view our crew. Like we are all in unique seats and we all understand when each of us need to take the forefront of the broadcast.

Speaker 1 Yeah, it works.

Speaker 4 And I love it. I also listened to to your podcast.
I don't know if you have a name for your listeners. Is there like a fan base that I'm a part of that I'm not?

Speaker 7 I don't.

Speaker 4 Flats Bratz. I don't know.

Speaker 7 That would be interesting.

Speaker 4 Yeah, but I do listen to the show.

Speaker 4 You've been telling me that we're entering the golden age of college football

Speaker 1 for like the last three or four years.

Speaker 4 Yes.

Speaker 4 Are we still in the golden age?

Speaker 4 Are we about to enter it?

Speaker 4 Are we in it right now? I think we're in it.

Speaker 1 I think we really are.

Speaker 7 I do. I don't.
I think college football has never been better. Okay.

Speaker 1 I think we're going to get to it once we kind of get a little bit more adjusted in the NIL world.

Speaker 7 Totally agree. Yeah.
And I'm not saying it's perfect. Yeah.
But it's never been better.

Speaker 7 And that's why I say that we're about to enter this incredible era of college football is because it's really messy, and yet the product is better than we've ever had it before.

Speaker 7 And there's more teams that are involved at the top end of the sport than ever before, more fan bases that are involved. And I mean, look at Texas Tech and Indiana.

Speaker 1 Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt.

Speaker 7 10 years ago, if you would have said, like, yeah, these teams are going to be in the top six and competing for a national title, you would have thought you were crazy.

Speaker 7 It was Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia, and that's it. And maybe Ohio State.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 And to that point, I was explaining to someone the other day about the college coaches and the buyouts and all this stuff. And I agree with a lot of what you're saying.

Speaker 1 The NIL stuff, once it kind of stabilizes, I think we'll really be in the golden age. But in Indiana, it's a perfect example.
10 years ago, Kurt Signetti is gone to Penn State instantly. 100%.

Speaker 1 It's not even a question. He's down.
100%. But now it's a new world where why can't he win in Indiana? That's right.
Why can't Clark Lee stay at Vanderbilt? Like, he can. That's right.

Speaker 1 Lane Kiffing might stay at Ole Miss. He should.

Speaker 7 He might.

Speaker 7 I've been told that basically they've told him write a number down. Yeah.
And LSU has told him the same thing.

Speaker 1 And

Speaker 7 I think he wants Florida.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 7 But they're hemming and hawing. You know, so that's the domino that's going to fall.
But this conversation is so fascinating because we've seen this. Dan Landing turned down Alabama to stay at Oregon.

Speaker 7 That's great for the sport, I think. Joey McGuire's at his dream job.
It's Texas Tech.

Speaker 7 That's great for the sport.

Speaker 7 And it's going to put these open jobs in a real bind. I think Penn State's in a bind right now.
I think Auburn's in a bind right now. It's like, who are you going to hire? Yeah.

Speaker 4 If you're Penn State, who would you be looking at right now? That's a great question.

Speaker 1 It's really shanky. It really is.

Speaker 1 It really is.

Speaker 7 Because the SEC openings are so obviously, it's like, well, we're going to try to get Lane. Right.

Speaker 1 Right.

Speaker 7 And Penn State, it's not as obvious. I think what happened at Penn State is that they felt like they could get Kurt Signetti.
And so they made the move.

Speaker 7 And then immediately, Indiana just is like, boom, 11.6 per year. And it's like, whoa.

Speaker 1 Yeah. And

Speaker 7 the reason I feel that way is that

Speaker 7 I don't think Penn State was going to go with the search firm, and then now they have a search firm. So it's like there's now two different strategies that have been played out at Penn State.

Speaker 7 Okay, so I'm dancing around your question.

Speaker 1 Who would I target or who do I think they're going to target?

Speaker 4 I guess who would you target? And then who do you think?

Speaker 4 We can do both.

Speaker 7 Okay, so if it was me,

Speaker 7 I would call Brian Kelly, although that's not very popular. I would call Pat Fitzgerald, although there's whatever you want to call it.

Speaker 4 I think Pat Fitzgerald is going to get hired by a big school. And I think he should, yeah.

Speaker 1 And he should.

Speaker 7 I'm firmly,

Speaker 7 he's one of the best college football coaches I've ever been around. It's a shame that he's not in right now.

Speaker 7 I think he's going to get in in this cycle, and whoever gets him is going to be really lucky. I'll throw out another name that I think is fascinating: Jim Mora at UConn.
He's doing a hell of a job.

Speaker 7 And if you actually look at what he did at UCLA and what UCLA is historically, it's like, okay, that guy can coach, and he's doing a heck of of a job at UConn. They just beat Duke last week.

Speaker 7 And then the last name I would throw out there, and everyone in Ohio wants to hit me over the head when I say this, but Brian Hartline. Yeah.

Speaker 1 I would call Brian Hartline. Can I give you one more name? Yeah.

Speaker 1 And it probably wouldn't happen because I think, unfortunately, Penn State's in a weird spot where they have to hire someone that everyone immediately is like, wow, that's great. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Fran Brown has a down year right now with Syracuse, but that guy can recruit the hell out of football. And he knows the area.
He's from New Jersey. He's like, he coached a temple.
Like, that's a guy.

Speaker 1 It would probably not be popular, but I bet you with Penn State's resources, he would make them a winner.

Speaker 7 Here's what's fascinating to me is I get in these conversations.

Speaker 7 I was just on with Coward this week, and he's talking about like, you got to have a tried and true winner and a guy that's been a head coach before. And I'm like, timeout.

Speaker 7 And unfortunately, I didn't think of this because I'm not like quick enough.

Speaker 7 But afterwards, I was like, wait, wait, wait. The three coaches who have won national championships in college football are Kirby Smart, Dabo Sweeney, and Ryan Day.

Speaker 7 None of them had head coaching experience before they got the job where they ultimately won a national championship. You would put Dan Lanning in the elite category.

Speaker 7 You would put Lincoln Riley in the elite category. There are so many guys that

Speaker 7 didn't have head coaching experience before they got a job where they were ultimately an excellent head coach.

Speaker 1 Yeah, and not only that, winning the press conference does nothing.

Speaker 7 No, it doesn't.

Speaker 1 More schools should wake up, especially this this year, if you look around the landscape. We talked about Signetti, Clark Lee, all that stuff.
But one of the best teams in the country is Texas A ⁇ M.

Speaker 1 And what'd they do? They won the press conference with Jimbo Fisher, and then they got a guy, Mike Elko, who everyone's like, oh, what, dude? Yeah.

Speaker 1 He's an unbelievable coach.

Speaker 7 Not only that, he's a great fit at Texas A ⁇ M.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 7 Understands it, and they've had a great year.

Speaker 7 I totally agree with you. And for Penn State, they need a great fit.
Yeah. And, you know, the heartline thing for me, Brian Hartline will be a head coach at some point, somewhere.
I don't know where.

Speaker 7 And he's going to succeed because he recruits incredibly well. He's very detail-oriented.
And his whole career, he's had more of an eye towards the CEO position rather than the play caller position.

Speaker 7 So, yes, he's calling plays now at Ohio State, but in the back of his mind, he's always built himself and tried to ready himself to be a head coach because now more than ever, I don't really care if you can call plays.

Speaker 7 It's so much bigger than that, guys. Because of NIL, like you've mentioned, because of the transfer portal, now you have a GM.
You've got to build a roster every single year.

Speaker 7 You've got this revenue share that you've got to divide amongst the players. You've got to talk with their agents.
It's really not about whether you can call defense or offense.

Speaker 7 It's can you hire a great staff and then manage all of those things within your organization? Yeah.

Speaker 1 So who are they going to hire? Because that was who they should look at. But who do you think it's going to end up being?

Speaker 7 I think it's going to be one of those guys. Okay.
Okay. I do think it's going to be one of those guys.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 And it's, I mean,

Speaker 1 it's weird that Penn State is not the premier job in a, in a carousel because this is, you know, LSU and Florida.

Speaker 7 So I caught a bunch of flack for saying I think LSU is a top three job in college football. I agree.

Speaker 4 Let's see, top three.

Speaker 1 I think it's a better job than Alabama.

Speaker 7 I would say, so that's what I caught.

Speaker 1 I totally agree with that.

Speaker 7 And

Speaker 1 it's not a slight Alabama, but we've said this on this podcast and we've had people come on and explain it. But

Speaker 1 LSU has the unique thing. It's actually probably the only two states, Ohio State and Louisiana, where kids are born in that state and that's all they want to do is play for that school.

Speaker 1 And that right there gives you a leg up.

Speaker 7 There's also more resources at LSU than there are at Alabama. Yeah.
You know, like they've got a couple of boosters that are just,

Speaker 7 how do you call it? They're just a little bit more in the shadows than other schools. You know, like Texas Tech, this guy at Texas Tech, he's very much at the forefront.
Oh, yeah. Names on the field.

Speaker 7 And it's like, I'm the guy doing this.

Speaker 7 There is a guy at LSU that is wealthier than the Texas Tech donor that is behind everything going on at LSU. They've got massive research.
You're talking about Todd Graves? The Raisin Canes.

Speaker 7 Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 He's a friend of ours.

Speaker 1 He's the man.

Speaker 7 He's incredible and committed to that place. And he's among others as well.
Right. You know, so like Bama doesn't have that, guys.

Speaker 7 They don't.

Speaker 1 They have the history, but it's also in it, and it's just the in-state recruit. Like, if you're taking the Florida job, you're competing against Florida State, you're competing against Miami.

Speaker 1 And obviously, recruiting is so different now that it's not, you pull talent from everywhere. But Louisiana, kids in Louisiana play for LSU.
Kids in Ohio play for Ohio State.

Speaker 7 There are

Speaker 7 four schools,

Speaker 7 five schools that can literally open up their back doors and within 20 square miles have a top five recruiting class. It's Miami, Texas AM, Texas, LSU, and USC.
Yeah.

Speaker 7 I don't think there's another one. Maybe Georgia is in there as well, but I think you've got to go a little bit further.

Speaker 7 But when you're talking about a recruiting base, like those schools have a base that they can, you know, pull from to get as good a talent as anybody.

Speaker 4 Do you think that Brian Kelly is going to get hired given that he was just fired for cause at LSU on Monday?

Speaker 1 after he was fired twice.

Speaker 4 I feel bad for the guy now. I didn't think that was possible.

Speaker 1 What a mess. I know.
Yeah, that is.

Speaker 7 And that's the only, by the way, that's what you just asked is the only reason that that job is not attractive. You got the governor is because it's a disaster.
It's like, well, who's in charge?

Speaker 7 Yeah, who's my boss?

Speaker 4 You direct report to the governor of the state. That's what you have to look at.
I mean, that's the reality if you're taking that job.

Speaker 4 And just by hearing him give a press conference, I know nothing about the man's politics. I don't either.
Anything that he's done in the state.

Speaker 4 I just know that that is a guy that is going to be a problem for a head coach.

Speaker 7 You never want to work for someone that

Speaker 7 is passionate about what you do, but knows very little about it. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 4 But they don't know that they know very little about it.

Speaker 1 No, no, no.

Speaker 7 They think they know a lot, but they don't.

Speaker 7 So I don't know how attractive, I think in the overarching conversation, LSU is a great job.

Speaker 7 This year, I don't know because of all of that mess behind the scenes.

Speaker 4 I do kind of like Governor Run the Damn Ball, though. Like,

Speaker 4 if that's what you're dealing with from the Governor, there's something charming about that. Yeah, that's a deep South kind of way.
That's right. Yeah, I do think that LSU is going to be a great job.

Speaker 7 And I think who do you think is going to get it?

Speaker 7 Do you guys think Lane's going to take that job? I don't know.

Speaker 1 I don't think Lane's going to take that job.

Speaker 4 I think he's going to stay.

Speaker 4 I think he's going to stay at Ole Miss.

Speaker 1 I do too.

Speaker 7 If you had asked me last week, I would have said, no, no, no, no. He's definitely going to leave.
I'm leaning that direction. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Because, I mean, mean, think about what he has. He's you can win there, he's proven that, and he also has, if he goes and takes the Florida job, the LSU job, he has to win right away.

Speaker 1 Yeah, he's built up the capital at Ole Miss, he's got a really good thing going, and they're at places as a program that they've never been before, and he's the reason for it.

Speaker 1 So, if they have a down year,

Speaker 1 no one's going to be like, hey, get rid of Lane.

Speaker 7 It's a great point. Yeah.
I also, let me make an analogy to Colorado, which is where I played and Deion. Like,

Speaker 7 Colorado needed Deion Sanders badly. Like, they needed air to breathe.

Speaker 7 But I would make the argument, Deion needed a place like Colorado because it wasn't a place that was going to be heavy-handed with tradition or you can't do this or that.

Speaker 7 It's just like, hey, man, you've got the keys to the entire castle. Do it how you want to do it.

Speaker 7 This is your program. And in some ways, Lane has that at Ole Miss, and he wouldn't have that at other places.
You know, there would be

Speaker 7 boosters or people around saying, like, well, we don't do it that way. And Lane's like,

Speaker 1 I do. Yeah.
Sorry.

Speaker 7 And at Ole Miss, it's his program.

Speaker 1 Right.

Speaker 7 And I think if you sat back and if you're Lane and you valued that, then you would stay. That's why I'm leaning that direction.
I think Ole Miss is good for Lane as much as Lane is good for Ole Miss.

Speaker 1 Absolutely agree. Do you have a Heisman vote?

Speaker 7 I do.

Speaker 1 Who'd you vote for last year?

Speaker 7 Oh, gosh. The The winner.

Speaker 1 Okay, good. Travis Hunter.
Yes, yes. Travis Hunter.
All right. Good, good.
I'm sorry.

Speaker 7 I just totally blanked on that.

Speaker 1 No, we bet on Travis Hunter in August, and our listeners got very good.

Speaker 7 Did you really?

Speaker 1 Yeah, because then we talked about it every single week, non-stop, how good.

Speaker 7 Guys, that was my one preseason prop bet that I gave on my pod. I was like, guys,

Speaker 7 I didn't give any other product. I said, 60 to 1, Travis Hunter is an incredible bet right there and a value.
Yeah, and it just worked.

Speaker 1 Yeah, and it hit.

Speaker 7 And then I got to vote for it. Is that bad?

Speaker 1 No, if you say it and then you just don't, I mean, as long as you don't bet it, no, you don't have high sports.

Speaker 7 I've never bet. How about that? I've never bet a dollar on sports.

Speaker 1 They're good for you. Yeah.

Speaker 1 So who do you?

Speaker 7 I'll bet Greg Olson that I'll beat him on the gauntlet.

Speaker 1 Damn gauntlet. Who do you? I can't believe he got to do it twice.
Sorry. It was crazy he got to do it twice, but he's so good looking.
And, you know, he just kind of

Speaker 1 wowed it.

Speaker 7 He charmed you. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that's fair. So who,

Speaker 1 give me your three this year. So this you're looking at.

Speaker 7 My list is in no particular order. Mendoza, Julian Saiyan.

Speaker 7 I really like Ty Simpson, and I like Marcel Reed.

Speaker 1 And Jeremiah Love?

Speaker 7 I was just going to say the guy that is like

Speaker 7 gaining steam is Jeremiah Love.

Speaker 1 I agree with that. Maybe because we bet that in August.

Speaker 7 Maybe.

Speaker 1 No, I don't think he has enough games left because he doesn't play a championship.

Speaker 7 The problem is, is not only it's the number of games, but it's the opponents. Right.
Because he doesn't have the opponents. Like, Reed's going to get to play Texas.
Everyone's going to watch that.

Speaker 7 Saiyan and Mendoza are going to play each other. Simpson and

Speaker 7 Reed may play in the SEC championship game. So like they've got these marquee moments and matchups.
I've always thought you needed stages to win. Like Mendoza last week.
Yeah. That was a stage.
Yes.

Speaker 7 And greatness was required, and he delivered greatness. That was incredible.
Yeah, he's unflappable.

Speaker 1 It's crazy watching.

Speaker 7 You know what he reminds me of? Is Kirk Cousins?

Speaker 1 Oh, okay.

Speaker 7 When I sit and just talk with him.

Speaker 1 I've heard people throw out the, and it's a bold one, but throwing out Tom Brady, which

Speaker 1 I know.

Speaker 1 Listen, I wasn't. I'm saying other people have thrown out, and then I watched him.
I'm like, okay, I can see the way he moves in the pocket, the way he's decisive, accurate, and unflappable.

Speaker 1 You got to do a lot more to beat Tom Brady.

Speaker 7 I love his bounce back. Yeah.
Because he's thrown some big interceptions and big moments like the pick six against Oregon.

Speaker 7 If you guys don't know, he throws a pick six against Oregon late in that game, and Oregon ties the game, comes out, next drive, drives right down the field, throws a touchdown pass.

Speaker 7 He throws that pick. It allows Penn State to go up and deep into that game into the fourth quarter.
Comes back, drives down the field.

Speaker 7 You know, so I love that aspect, and that does remind me of Brady. I'm talking about when I sit with him in those production meetings,

Speaker 7 he said three words, and I was like, oh my gosh, this is Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 1 Do you think I don't mean that in a bad way?

Speaker 1 I mean that in the best possible way. Yeah.
Probably the nicest guy in the world.

Speaker 4 Yeah. Very nice.

Speaker 1 Do you think Julian's saying, like, so we've been very high on Ohio State? We were, I think, the first to say that this year's team was better than last year's team. I think we said it in September.

Speaker 1 We might have been doing it as a bit, but it turned out to be true. That happens to us sometimes.
It's good when a bit turns out. Yeah.
It's great.

Speaker 1 But, Julian Sayen, like, the one thing you could say about Ohio State this year, they have been so dominant.

Speaker 1 What happens when they're in that type of game, that situation where it's tight, late, and Mendoza's proven it? Do you have any reservations about Ohio State in those type of moments?

Speaker 1 Because they're going to be in those games in the playoffs.

Speaker 7 I only have one reservation about Ohio State, and I don't know how great they are running the football. Yeah.

Speaker 1 That's where they're not better than last year.

Speaker 7 Yeah, that's right, because those two backs were tremendous last year, Henderson and Judkins. They had

Speaker 7 a moment of adversity when Penn State gets a fumble recovery right before half and scores, and so they have to go in at halftime, and it's 17-14.

Speaker 7 And that third quarter offensively was Carnell Tate, Jeremiah Smith, and Julian Saiyan. And that showed me a lot because it's like, okay,

Speaker 7 when you're backed into a corner, you're going to show me your actual blueprint. You're going to show me exactly who you are.
And they came out and just threw haymakers.

Speaker 7 And I'm like, that's the best passing game in America.

Speaker 7 He's so impressive with how quick his mind works and then his release and then his accuracy, guys. It's off the charts.
Yeah. His accuracy.

Speaker 7 So normally a guy that throws for 80% is going to throw like 80% 80% of his passes at the line of scrimmage.

Speaker 7 If you look at average yards of air yards per pass, he's in the top five in terms of throwing the football down the field in college football. So to be at that percentage is wild.

Speaker 1 Yeah, and I am a believer that Ohio State, the way that their schedule has, they're so much better than these teams that they haven't had to fully unleash it.

Speaker 1 And I think there is a gear there that they're kind of not holding back intentionally, but you've seen flashes of it every now and then where they'll be like, All right, we're just gonna

Speaker 1 do this right now, and we're just gonna score very quickly. And you know, Jeremiah is gonna get it, and then Carnell Tate.
And they have that

Speaker 1 same game was like, Yeah, the Washington game where they kind of puts around and they're like, you know what, let's just hit the Jeremiah Smith button for a second. And I think that, um,

Speaker 7 and this might be like too deep, but I think that's uh Coach Day growing, yeah,

Speaker 1 because

Speaker 7 I think there were times in the past

Speaker 7 that he played games

Speaker 7 against the narrative and not against the opponent.

Speaker 1 Every time against Michigan.

Speaker 7 You could argue that.

Speaker 7 Yeah.

Speaker 4 He went on tirade against Lou Holtz.

Speaker 1 Yeah, he tried to run the ball against Michigan last year.

Speaker 7 And this year, it feels very opposite. And actually, post-Michigan last year, it felt very opposite.
They run through the playoffs. It was like, no, this is who we are.
Yeah. Like, come and get it.

Speaker 7 You know, and Tennessee got it

Speaker 1 got that.

Speaker 7 Oregon did, you know.

Speaker 7 And this year it feels feels different. They go up against Texas, and it's like

Speaker 7 there was no other opponent. It's just like, we're just going to win the game with a quarterback that's making his first start.
So guess what we're going to do?

Speaker 7 Not going to put him in a precarious spot. We're going to win the football game with a great defense.
And it's like, and that's fine because that's the point.

Speaker 7 They did the same thing against Washington. Those two games in particular, think about from their standpoint, they've got this quarterback that is brand new.

Speaker 7 He's making his first start ever against what was at the time the number one team in the country. So they didn't put him in in harm's way at all, didn't try to put the game on his shoulders.

Speaker 7 His first start, or excuse me, his first road start ever was at Washington, which at the time had the second longest home win streak in college football. So guess what they didn't do?

Speaker 7 Put the game on his shoulders. So to me, it was strategic.
Yeah. You know, and people are like, well, they didn't look this or that.
And I'm like, no, no, no.

Speaker 7 They kind of executed exactly what they wanted to in those moments.

Speaker 1 And now it all comes down to Michigan.

Speaker 7 Will he?

Speaker 1 It looks like that's it's it's crazy that this rivalry has gotten to, you know, there's been points in history where the rivalry has been so great, but right now.

Speaker 7 It can't have been better than the last few. I don't know.

Speaker 1 I don't know how it looks.

Speaker 7 Like I know the 10-year war. I know all of that history, but guys, it's crazy.

Speaker 1 This has been, and I've gotten to call every one of them. Right.

Speaker 7 This has been insane.

Speaker 1 Insane. And you can't script it better than Ohio State having a national championship team last year and still losing to Michigan.
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 7 It's crazy.

Speaker 7 I will tell you, of all the games I've ever called, I took my headset off and I was like, that didn't just happen.

Speaker 1 I felt the same way. I was like, no way.

Speaker 7 Yeah. I couldn't believe it.
There was nothing in my prep,

Speaker 7 nothing, that I was like, well, they've got a chance here.

Speaker 1 Nothing. Right.
They couldn't pass. They couldn't throw the ball last year.

Speaker 4 They didn't really try to until late in the second half.

Speaker 7 And they're like, okay, which is one of the stuff that I missed in that game specifically is just how good those two defensive tackles actually were. And what those two allowed them to do.

Speaker 7 And by the way, that Michigan team, if you take a look at the last five games of the season, they were the best defense in college football. They beat Ohio State.
They beat Alabama.

Speaker 7 They hung with Indiana. They hung with Indiana.

Speaker 7 They were playing great offenses, and they were still the number one defense in the country. I definitely missed that leading into that game.

Speaker 7 But this one could be incredible because there's a really good chance. We'll see if Michigan can beat Northwestern this weekend in Wrigley.

Speaker 7 There's a solid chance that Michigan sitting there at 9-2 and with a win could get that last

Speaker 4 second to last spot in the college football playoff like this could be a monster as well yeah and so looking past that it does feel like we're on an Indiana Ohio State collision course for the jamp game yeah yeah so tell me about how those styles match up and what you see in them because I I keep going back and forth I keep talking myself out of one side or the other but what do you see in terms of like does Indiana I feel like they've got the dudes this year they've got the They've got the players.

Speaker 4 So I don't know that it's going to be that lopsided. It will be lopsided a little bit in terms of talent, but they've closed the gap quite a bit.
So what do you see happening?

Speaker 7 So to beat Ohio State, I firmly believe you have to have great balance on offense.

Speaker 7 Because if you give that defense, as athletic as they are, a one-way go and you're just a passing team or you're just a running team, I think that they're too good for that.

Speaker 7 And so, because of that, one of the rare teams in the entire country that I think think actually matches up well with Ohio State is Indiana because of their balance, because they can run the football five times.

Speaker 7 They've run it for over 300 yards.

Speaker 7 Now, they didn't run it great against Penn State, and that's the recipe to beat Indiana is slow down their run game. But Mendoza is also very good.

Speaker 7 So, they can throw the football, they can run the football, that's going to make life difficult on what I think is the best defense in college football.

Speaker 7 And then, on the opposite side, here's what I like, this idea of putting Julian saying

Speaker 7 in a pressure cooker, getting pressure to him, making him feel uncomfortable. No one's been able to do that.
But Indiana rushes the passer as well as anybody. And they do it in a unique way.

Speaker 7 And so because of the structures that they run on the defensive side, if I were to say of any team in the country, like what's the toughest matchup for Ohio State? It's Indiana.

Speaker 7 And so I can't wait for that game. I hope that we get that game.

Speaker 7 I think Indiana is as I think they can win a national championship. I really do.

Speaker 7 My question for them, I said the run game for Ohio State. My question is

Speaker 7 health and injury because they haven't gotten to recruit like Ohio State or some of these other teams and build up class after class after class and have a bunch of depth.

Speaker 7 And so as and we saw it last week. Elijah Surratt was down.
They had a left guard that was down and they struggle a little bit. So if they're healthy, they're really good.

Speaker 1 List the teams that can can win the national championship this year.

Speaker 7 Ohio State, Indiana, Texas AM,

Speaker 7 Georgia,

Speaker 7 Texas Tech, Oregon.

Speaker 1 Obama. No Bama.
I know.

Speaker 7 Bama fans already hate me. So it is what it is.
Yeah, just who cares?

Speaker 7 Here's the thing with Bama. I love what Alabama does, throwing the football.
They are not good enough elsewhere.

Speaker 7 So they're going to run into a matchup that is not favorable for them, and they will lose. That's just the way I feel about it.
It's tried and true. NFL, college, you cannot be one-dimensional.

Speaker 7 And we've seen a few different times during the course of the year where Simpson has not been at his best versus Florida State, they lost. Second half against Georgia, they got pressured to him.

Speaker 7 They stagnated. Georgia almost came back and win.
Second half against LSU, they stagnated.

Speaker 7 Now, granted, LSU couldn't do anything on offense, and they won those games, but that will come back to bite them at some point.

Speaker 7 Like if you put them up against Ohio State, sorry, like BEM is not winning that game because Ohio State can focus on the passing game. Right.

Speaker 1 What about, so you mentioned a team, Texas Tech. You've seen them live.
I'm a big fan.

Speaker 1 I do think defensively, at least, they definitely have the chops. Totally.
Do you trust their offense, though, in a, hey, we got to beat three, four really, really good teams here?

Speaker 7 You know,

Speaker 7 it's borderline. It's borderline.
What I do appreciate about them is that they are balanced. So they they can run it.
They can throw it. I think Baron Morton is a good one.
And part of this, too, is

Speaker 7 Mac Leftwich is their offensive coordinator, young guy. Not many people know who he is.

Speaker 7 I love what he does. It's one of those epiphanies where I'm like, hold on.
This is a guy that is doing something totally different than anybody before him. So here's what he's doing.

Speaker 7 You guys have heard of like the deep choice offense that Art Bryles ran and now Tennessee runs. Are you familiar with that? Okay.
And then you've heard of like the Chip Kelly,

Speaker 7 Gus Malzon spread running attack, right? And like that, that's a famous offense. And then you've got the traditional Mike Leach, Lincoln Riley, air raid.

Speaker 7 Mac has married all three of those together. And so he has elements of all three in his offense.

Speaker 7 Whereas like Tennessee is just a pure kind of deep choice offense and all the others are fairly pure breed. And

Speaker 7 he's got this mixture of an offense that allows him to have answers. It's one of the reasons I think that they've got a shot, and that defense is really good.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, I'm high on Texas Tech, and it's also that you know, you cover, you do a lot of Big 12 games as well. There is always going to be a perception of a Big 12 team not being good enough, yeah.

Speaker 1 And it's like, but Arizona State took Texas to the limit.

Speaker 7 I was going to say, Texas, what was it, fourth and 13? Yeah, so like they were dead in the water, yeah. Um,

Speaker 7 I listen, Texas Tech is a heck of a a team.

Speaker 7 I'm secretly hoping they don't get one of the buys because I want to see somebody have to go down there and play in the awesome team.

Speaker 1 I see this everywhere.

Speaker 4 Yeah, what's going on with the tortillas, the controversy? It's been banned, but they still do it. Are people sneaking tortillas in games? And if so,

Speaker 4 how are you sneaking the tortillas into the games? I have no idea.

Speaker 7 I have no idea. I don't know why we would ban something like this.

Speaker 1 Yeah, it seems like the definition of what makes college football different than the NFL. That's right.
Let's lean into that.

Speaker 7 Let's lean into our differences, our tribalism,

Speaker 7 our traditions.

Speaker 1 Live into that. You also didn't mention Notre Dame.

Speaker 7 Yeah.

Speaker 1 You think they are.

Speaker 1 I think Notre Dame is, I don't know if they can win the national championship, but they are very good.

Speaker 1 And I think people have the perception and the games they played at the beginning of the season are very different than what they are now in terms of defensively.

Speaker 7 Totally agree with that. I think they are

Speaker 7 elite running the football.

Speaker 1 Elite.

Speaker 7 And so it would take a really strong defense just to stop that.

Speaker 7 My concern is that even in a win, CJ Carr played so bad against USC. And I'm like, hold on a second.
Like, what happens when he sees Ohio State or when he sees Cassius Howell from Texas AM?

Speaker 7 I know that they already played. They lost that game.

Speaker 7 So

Speaker 7 they've played their two toughest opponents and lost. And to me,

Speaker 7 that's why I don't include that.

Speaker 4 Oregon's still in there. I like that.

Speaker 7 Oregon is still in there. And I know that that same, you know, you could say like, hey, their toughest opponent, they lost to Indiana.
There's something about that roster. So here's another thing.

Speaker 7 In the last four years,

Speaker 7 the team that has the most draft picks wins the national championship.

Speaker 7 And if you look at like some of these top 50 lists, or I start to compile my top 50 and top 60 players in the draft, the top two are Ohio State and Oregon.

Speaker 7 And it's like, so they, that's why I include them. It's because I'm like, they have the top end talent.

Speaker 7 Now, they're young in a lot of areas, but, and I'm just, Dan Landing is, dude, that guy is a war daddy. Like, he's going to win at NFL.
I like that. War daddy.

Speaker 4 War daddy's good.

Speaker 4 Follow-up question, Mr. Klatt, PFD commenter here from part of my take.

Speaker 4 Do you think that maybe the reason why the last four teams that have won championships have more draft picks is because they won national championships, and then they're seen

Speaker 4 in the national championship game performing, making plays, and then NFL scouts are like, I love that guy.

Speaker 7 Yes, you've got to have players play really well to win the national championship. If players play well, they're going to be scouted more favorably.

Speaker 7 So,

Speaker 1 yes, to answer your question,

Speaker 7 those teams, even before the season, though, you would have said, hey, that team's littered with NFL talent.

Speaker 7 Here's a great example of that.

Speaker 7 A guy

Speaker 7 in the 23 Michigan team that before the year wasn't mentioned as like a real elite NFL prospect.

Speaker 7 And by the end, after they played Alabama and Nick Sabin and Washington and win the national championship, Mike Sainristil,

Speaker 7 he was like the talk of the scouting universe. And it's like, man, this guy is incredible.
He was the whole key to the defense.

Speaker 7 And I think that speaks to your point, that it's like the players developing into that make them national champions. I think that that's probably correct.

Speaker 1 He's a great player.

Speaker 4 He really is. Mikey.

Speaker 1 I got a question about your career as an athlete.

Speaker 1 We talked about it a little bit on the yak, but you were baseball player first, and you got drafted 11th round, Padres, tried out.

Speaker 1 How many years did you try out for or were you trying to actually play?

Speaker 7 I was in the minor leagues for

Speaker 7 three seasons.

Speaker 1 Okay, and then what was the highest level you got to?

Speaker 7 I played.

Speaker 7 I told that story. I played one week of like triple-A spring training and then really just like single A-ball.
Okay.

Speaker 7 So played a couple of double-A games in spring training, but yeah, that was kind of it.

Speaker 1 Actually, we need to tell the Ricky Henderson story again because P.F.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, you have to do it.

Speaker 1 You got to sell it. This is

Speaker 7 my best story from minor league.

Speaker 7 I need to write a book, but this one is the best. So

Speaker 7 rest in peace, Sean Burroughs was a third baseman for the AAA team with the San Diego Padres, and I was a third baseman on the lower levels in the minor leagues. And

Speaker 7 if a guy gets hurt or a sore arm or something in spring training, it's just like, hey, like, go fill in for him. You know, there's just very little structure.

Speaker 7 And so Sean Burroughs was banged up and he needed like four or five days off.

Speaker 7 And they were just like, hey, Clat, like, go take Sean's spot in the lineup and play with the AAA team for the next four or five days. I'm like, great.
You know, that's awesome.

Speaker 7 So the next day, Ricky Henderson gets signed by the Padres to a minor league contract. And he's 41, I think at the time, maybe 42.

Speaker 7 And Sean Burroughs played third, hit second on the AAA team. And Ricky Henderson signs a triple-A contract.
Where do you think he hits?

Speaker 1 Leadoff.

Speaker 7 So here I am. I'm sitting in the two-hole behind Ricky Henderson out on the like the outer field.
This isn't even in the stadium.

Speaker 7 These are these outer fields out there in spring training in Peoria, Arizona. And I'm just like in awe.
Like, there's Ricky Henderson. My goodness.

Speaker 7 And so I'm sitting there and I I would be getting into the on-deck circle, and he'd be walking up to the plate, you know, and he'd be tapping his toes and doing his little shuffle, even for no fans, right?

Speaker 7 Still doing his shuffle. And he'd turn around and he'd say, Three.

Speaker 7 I'd be like, what?

Speaker 7 Look around, like, what? What is he talking about? I didn't know what he said. Next step back, two.

Speaker 7 Take his eye out. I'm like, what in the world is going on? But in my mind, all I could think about is the 80s Bash Brothers.

Speaker 7 And I'm like, man, I have to hit a home run so that Ricky's waiting for me at home plate and I'm going to become in hot. Just like, bam, give him the Bash Brothers right there.

Speaker 7 Feel like I'm Maguire and Seiko.

Speaker 1 You know, like, let's go. Yeah.

Speaker 7 So I am swinging from the heels on every pitch that's even remotely close to the zone. I don't care.
Slider, you bet. Splitty, let's go.

Speaker 1 I'm hitting this thing out, right? Just

Speaker 1 every at-bat, bat, four,

Speaker 1 three,

Speaker 7 two days of this, three days of this. I'm like, I can't take it anymore.
I have no idea what this guy is talking about. He's talking to himself when he gets, he's talking to the third person.

Speaker 7 What is happening? So, I ask our manager, Jeff Gardner, I'm like, Skip, why in the hell does Ricky keep telling me a number before he goes up to bat?

Speaker 7 And he's like, Um, son, that's how many pitches he expects you to take so he can steal second.

Speaker 1 oh so good i love that so good i do love how he was a big third-person guy yeah you've been missing all third-person

Speaker 7 he was the best i've ever heard did he do third-person in front of you all the time yeah i never heard him say anything other than third person he was so he would get to first and again i always say like these are the backfields there's nobody there guys this is like quieter than beer league softball right like there's no there's no moms in the stands there's no there's nobody there there's no wives in the stands And so he would get to first,

Speaker 7 and he would, I want to almost get up. You know, he would do his little like shuffle and tap his toes, you know, and he would be on, and we could hear him talking to himself, leading off first.

Speaker 7 Ricky gets on.

Speaker 1 And we'd all look over and be like, is he saying?

Speaker 7 Like, yeah, yeah, he's talking.

Speaker 1 And then you would hear him say, like, Ricky steals bags.

Speaker 1 It was unbelievable. I love that.
That's so good.

Speaker 4 We desperately need a new third-person guy. Yeah, we do.

Speaker 4 We haven't had one of those in a week.

Speaker 1 We really do. So I brought up this whole baseball thing because you then,

Speaker 1 what was the decision? Was there a moment where you're like, all right, this is clearly not going to work?

Speaker 1 100%. Most guys

Speaker 1 who do that go to play another sport, they don't have success in the other sport. You then go and start for three years of Colorado as a quarterback.
Like, how did that, how did that all go down? So.

Speaker 7 Mark Pryor.

Speaker 1 Yeah. You remember that? Perfect.
Perfect delivery.

Speaker 7 Perfect delivery. Yeah.
Smooth calves the size of a gumball machine. Just like massive calves.

Speaker 7 He's rehabbing. And this is like height of Mark Pryor.

Speaker 1 This is 01, 02,

Speaker 7 right? Like he and Carrie Wood are like the guys.

Speaker 7 Remember, they were always injured. Yeah.
And so he comes down to Mesa, Arizona, for an extended spring rehab start.

Speaker 7 And lo and behold, the extended spring Peoria Padres roll into town. So we drive over to Mesa to play the Cubs.

Speaker 7 And my career's not going great. My lifestyle is not great.
I'm like, what am I doing? You know, like, I hate to say this, but like, baseball, they are not educated folks in the sport of baseball.

Speaker 7 And I'm looking around and I'm like, this ain't the life, you know, for me. So we go over to Mesa and we're facing Mark Pryor against side field.
And Mark Pryor's pitching.

Speaker 7 And then we find out, like, oh, yeah, it's a rehab start. He's throwing 60 fastballs.
He's not even throwing off speed. So, like, he's out here just to throw fastballs, and like, they don't care.

Speaker 7 And I'm like,

Speaker 7 I'm a fastball hitter.

Speaker 1 This is great. I can't wait.

Speaker 7 And this dude gets up there and gives us that perfect delivery. And it's nice and smooth.
And it looks like he's throwing the ball 27 miles an hour. It's just like effortless.

Speaker 7 And then the ball looks like an Acme rocket comes out of the back and then just goes like,

Speaker 7 and so so I'm sitting up there, no he's throwing a fastball.

Speaker 7 I feel like I'm a fastball hitter. I barely had my foot down and the ball hits the glove and I was like, I need to quit.
Oh, man.

Speaker 1 That was it.

Speaker 7 I struck out on three fastballs, swung through two of them, walked back to the dugout, and I was like, I think I need to go to college.

Speaker 1 That's incredible.

Speaker 7 So that was the moment. So when I go back, I quit baseball, went back to Colorado.
And to be honest, like I said, it was about education and lifestyle.

Speaker 7 I just needed to get out of Mayor League Baseball. I needed to get an education, and I walked on at Colorado because of that.
And lo and behold, it was like

Speaker 1 it worked out.

Speaker 7 Yeah, I don't know how else to explain it. It's incredible.

Speaker 1 It worked out.

Speaker 4 How awesome was it being the quarterback at Colorado?

Speaker 7 It was phenomenal.

Speaker 1 I grew up there.

Speaker 7 And so that was my team growing up. This is why I went back.
I thought it would be amazing just to run out behind Ralphie, you know, because my dad had taken me to those games my whole life.

Speaker 7 And then to be the quarterback, I, man, it was a dream come true. There's no doubt.

Speaker 7 Although, after, you know, in college,

Speaker 7 they don't love like career quarterbacks. So once you're a third-year quarterback at a college, the fan base is like, okay, I think we're done with him.
Who's the shiny new object?

Speaker 7 So the end of my career didn't end all that great, but it was an unbelievable time. I loved it.

Speaker 4 I have to imagine that's a school that it is exceptionally cool to be like a star athlete. Yes.

Speaker 6 It was great. It was a beautiful place.

Speaker 1 Yeah, it was great.

Speaker 1 So

Speaker 7 when I come back, I'm older now, right? So I'm 21. And my first year as a starter, me and a teammate of mine who I had played against in high school, and he also kind of walked on late.

Speaker 7 And so we go back, but then we just lived with three guys that didn't play.

Speaker 7 And we lived in this house like right on the hill, right up from the universe, 83318th Street.

Speaker 7 I really hope someone's living there that listens to this yeah it was the best house I lived in the room in the basement my roommate had a six-foot python that got out didn't find him for six months like it was quintessential college house but what would happen is our roommates would be in the stands and they would take our jerseys that like we had gotten from previous seasons like our actual jerseys and wear them in the stands they would take them out of our closets wear them in the stands and then just invite everyone back to the house so we would get home from games, and it was packed.

Speaker 1 Right.

Speaker 7 Like our house, and there would just be people all over the place in our bedrooms, all over.

Speaker 7 It was wild.

Speaker 1 And it also was Colorado before, you know, little down, you know, the football program in the last

Speaker 1 18 years before Deion got there, but you guys were still living off the 90s where it's like Colorado football was

Speaker 7 we had won the Big 12 championship in 2001 and then played for it in 02 and 04 and 05. And so like we were okay.
The problem is, 05 was my senior year.

Speaker 7 We played Texas twice, Vince Young's Texas team, once in Austin, and then again in the Big 12 championship game down in Houston.

Speaker 7 And they beat us 70 to 3. Ooh.

Speaker 1 It's a tough way to end it. Yeah.

Speaker 1 70 to 3. Ooh.
Yeah, bro. And then we were like, I should probably covered.

Speaker 4 How did you decide to get into broadcasting? Because it feels like. By chance.
You've got the voice for it. Like, did you always have that voice? No.

Speaker 7 Oh, I, you know, tried to smoke eight packs of Marlboros. No, I'm kidding.

Speaker 7 I got into it by chance, actually. I thought I would always be a coach or go into like investment banking.
And so I was doing that.

Speaker 7 I was doing investment banking after college, and I was working for this REIT

Speaker 7 real estate investment trust in Denver. And there was a high school football package of games on the local Fox Sports Rocky Mountain back in the day.

Speaker 7 Do you remember Alfred Williams, the defensive player for the Broncos?

Speaker 1 It sounds familiar.

Speaker 7 Okay, so Alford was the analyst for this high school football package. And Alfred got sick one night.
So he said, I don't think he wanted to go call the high school football game.

Speaker 7 And the network called me because they knew I was back. I had just been released from the Lions.
And they were like, hey, will you do a high school football game? And I said no.

Speaker 7 And then they begged me to do it and said they'd give me 200 bucks. And so I went and did it.
And that's literally how my broadcasting career started. That's incredible.

Speaker 4 And you were just like, were you good at it from the start? So if you went back to the game.

Speaker 7 The executive grabbed me after the game. His name was Ken Miller.
And Ken, I owe my entire career to Ken because he said, Hey, you were really good. I'm going to give you three more.

Speaker 7 And I told him, No, and I was like, Well, this is not what I want to do. This is not what I do.

Speaker 7 I'm a banker. And he was like, No, you're not.

Speaker 1 And so he gave me three more.

Speaker 7 And then he started putting me on other things. And then he sent the tape unbeknownst to me to Fox Sports Southwest.
And all of a sudden, they put me on the Big 12 studio show.

Speaker 7 And then the real estate market crashes in 07,

Speaker 7 and I lost my my job, my real job. And my wife, thankfully, she's amazing, Sarah Clatt.
She came to me and she said, Hey, I just got this pharmaceutical sales job. It covers us.

Speaker 7 Try to make it work.

Speaker 7 Try to make broadcasting work. So I got this like low-rent radio show in Denver and started doing radio and TV and just started working my way up.
That's awesome. That's great.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Yeah.
All right. This has been awesome, Joel.
We love having you on. You are now a recurring guest, so you have to come back on.
I would love to. Yes, we will definitely get you in the rotation.

Speaker 7 This is like the Super Bowl of podcasts.

Speaker 1 I don't know about that. Guys, I feel very honored.

Speaker 7 Thank you for having me.

Speaker 1 The key to how this works is we got to always pretend we're just talking to no one.

Speaker 7 That's a good point. Yeah.
I think being in the podcast space, I very much admire what you guys do. You guys do a great job.
I appreciate that. Thank you.

Speaker 1 Yeah, but I got one last question. Roback question.
R-H-O-B-A-C-K.com, promo code take. 20% off your first purchase.
Q-zips, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, roback.com, promo code take.

Speaker 1 How many times do people call you Joe?

Speaker 7 Oh, my gosh. It's got to be endless.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 4 Do you think

Speaker 7 my nephew's name is Joe?

Speaker 1 Oh, that's so he's he's like in is he a clat? Yeah, Joe's very confused. You can't do that.

Speaker 1 Sister brother? Talk to my brother. Yeah, I won't.
Jason. He can't do that.
I love Joe. That's it.
Yeah, but you can't. Joe's the man.
That's too similar.

Speaker 7 I don't know what to tell you.

Speaker 1 They call all the time.

Speaker 7 And it's not just that they call me that. They type it in the comments.
Yeah. I'm Joe in the comments like crazy.

Speaker 1 Just roll with it. It's all.
No, they're actually talking shit about your nephew.

Speaker 7 Don't you dare.

Speaker 7 Joe Clatt is a saint.

Speaker 1 He's going to get all your nephew is now going to live a life where he just gets all the hate online. Because if someone's calling you Joe Clatt, I'd imagine 100% of the time they're mad at you.

Speaker 6 Probably.

Speaker 7 Because if they know who you are, the problem is, though, is when they're very complimentary and use Joe.

Speaker 1 And it's like,

Speaker 1 okay. All right, cool.
I'm in. I'll pass this along to my dad.
Yeah, that's right. He's going to be fired up about this.
Yeah. Wait, oh, last thing.

Speaker 1 Do you think Northwestern has a shot on Saturday? So we're doing big noon kickoff. You're calling the game.

Speaker 7 Yeah, I can't wait for you guys to be out there at Wrigleyville. It's going to be awesome.
It's going to be so bad.

Speaker 7 Yes, Northwestern. By the way, Tav Brown's done a heck of a job here.
They're like the quintessential Pat Fitzgerald Northwestern Wildcats, where they run the ball.

Speaker 7 Caleb Kumalafe is a really good player.

Speaker 7 Their defense probably plays a little bit better than their skill, although their skill is very good.

Speaker 7 I think Michigan will have some trouble with Northwestern

Speaker 7 because they're not going to beat themselves.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I'm at a point now because I went to Wisconsin and the Badgers have had a little tough run here where I'm like jealous of them. Come on, how about the win last week? No.

Speaker 1 Last week, good to win one. Good to win one.
Brought old Jed Fish in there, spanked him around. Our leading passer was our putter.
Why not? Why not? Why not?

Speaker 1 Why not us?

Speaker 1 Probably because we're going to lose by about 50 to Indiana. I hope, I just want Kurt Signetti to just take it easy.
He will

Speaker 1 not. No, there's a couple times he's taking it a little easy.
Kurt Signetti

Speaker 1 has zero chance. Here's the thing, though.
And I'm here for it. No, but there are certain coaches like, I think him and Bilima got into it a little bit in the summer.

Speaker 1 And I think that's where, you know, like if you get, if you poke a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a

Speaker 7 good side.

Speaker 1 I think he might be like, hey, he's going through some tough stuff. We're not going to.
But if you poke him a little, he will remember it and go after it. He'll get after it.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 I love that guy. I'm hoping that maybe, Kurt Signetti, I think you're a great coach.
Just take it easy, man.

Speaker 7 Look at you buttering him up.

Speaker 1 Take it easy. That's wild.

Speaker 4 I feel like he's just constantly in build the resume season.

Speaker 4 He knows.

Speaker 4 It's all style points, but it's like violent style points that he's putting up on everybody.

Speaker 7 It is absolutely the

Speaker 7 underdog, respect me now

Speaker 1 mentality. Did you call the UCLA Indiana game? Yeah.
Was there any confusion when Albert Mendoza came in? No.

Speaker 1 I loved that so much because there were so many people online who are like, look at Signetti and Indiana running up the score with their starting quarterback still in. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Because they both, it's like Fernando, that's Alberto.

Speaker 7 Yeah.

Speaker 1 They wear

Speaker 1 the sideline so hyped. It was great.

Speaker 7 So he comes into our next production meeting. I'm talking to Fernando, and he was, and all he could talk about is Alberto.
And he's like, you guys know we lived in bunk beds, right?

Speaker 1 And we're like, We get it, man. Like full stepbrothers mode.
Did we just become best friends?

Speaker 4 Did you guys know that USC had a trick with their third-string quarterback and their punter?

Speaker 7 Yeah, that ain't legal. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah, they didn't tell you about that.

Speaker 4 They didn't let you guys know about that in the production meeting, I bet.

Speaker 7 Well, I didn't call that game, and when we did call USC, they did not tell us about that. They also didn't tell us that their wide receiver was going to play them.

Speaker 1 Yeah. But don't worry.

Speaker 1 I'm not upset.

Speaker 1 You're in the business of remembering facts.

Speaker 7 Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 All right. Well, Joel, thanks so so much.
I appreciate it, guys.

Speaker 7 Thank you for the time.

Speaker 4 Joel Klatt was brought to you by Twisted Tea, a refreshing hard iced tea made with real brewed tea, 5% alcohol. Twisted Tea is the perfect alcohol to keep the good times going all season long.

Speaker 4 Whether you're hanging out at a friend's house, catching a game at a stadium or at the bar, or just seeing where the day takes you, Twisted Tea is there to turn your day up a notch and make a good time a great time.

Speaker 1 I love the half and half.

Speaker 4 The peach is a great flavor, too. The original is awesome.
Can't go wrong with twisted tea. I'm going to drink some twisted teas on Saturday.
It might be nice enough to golf.

Speaker 4 Definitely will be nice enough to drink a twisted tea outside at some point. I will be doing that on Saturday.
Keep it twisted. Grab a tea.
It's game time. Stock up on ice-cold twisted tea today.

Speaker 4 And Fire Fest of the Week is going to be brought to you by Morgan and Morgan. We all know that life comes at you fast.

Speaker 4 One minute, everything's going smooth, and the next, we're talking about an unexpected disaster.

Speaker 4 When you find yourself in the middle of your very own Fire fest, you just might need America's largest injury law firm in your corner.

Speaker 4 Morgan and Morgan has been fighting for the people and helping with your fire fests for over 35 years. With Morgan and Morgan, it's easy to get started.
Their fee is free unless they win.

Speaker 4 I'm curious if Morgan and Morgan helps, if your likeness has been used for a holiday toy for pets.

Speaker 4 if that would expose the creators and the manufacturers and promoters of said toy to any legal liabilities.

Speaker 4 Just one thing maybe we should look into at some point. Maybe Morgan and Morgan can help protect us before Hank hires them.
You can check them out at forthepeople.com slash PMT.

Speaker 4 That's F-O-RTepeople.com slash PMT.

Speaker 1 Okay, boys, let's wrap up the show. Fire Fest of the Week, Hank.

Speaker 1 Nothing else. My Firefest of the Week has Hank got us all sick.
I'm sick. Yeah, I'm all sick.
I feel bad. I feel like I'm going to get everyone sick.

Speaker 1 Although I heard it's going around the office, it wasn't just me. There's been.
You also timed it so that we're going to, PFTI are going to get sick either for football or maybe even Thanksgiving.

Speaker 1 You fucked us. Oh, you're putting me being a little bit sick on Tuesday.
A little sick.

Speaker 4 Yeah, I mean, you were down bad, Hank.

Speaker 1 I was down bad. Sneezing all over us.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I don't know what you want me to do. It's a weird, weird job we have where it's like, I kind of have to come in.

Speaker 1 I could have not come in, then you guys would have shamed me if you're not coming in.

Speaker 4 No, if you're sick, stay home.

Speaker 1 But then if I didn't come in, I would have been on this podcast getting roasted. I did zero shame on Wednesday.
You texted me and said, I'm going to try to come in for advisors.

Speaker 1 I said, do not come in.

Speaker 4 Did you hear how good Zach was on the couch, though? Oh, that was.

Speaker 1 That's really good. That was, but can you at least, did you hear about that? I watched it, yeah.
I mean, every single time. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Speaker 1 That wasn't even when I was sick. I was doing other work.
No, no, no. But that has nothing to do with it.
Every time we do the show, I have to remind you to get the game time for a game.

Speaker 1 We've been doing it for months where the game is the start of the show. Have you tried not reminding me and seen what happens? Yes.

Speaker 1 There's been multiple times where I've looked at you and you just haven't had a game. Zach was not true.
He's locked and loaded. So you're saying you didn't remind him at all?

Speaker 1 I did not remind him at all. That's bullshit.
I didn't.

Speaker 1 They're all bullshit that you go out of your way to remind me. It's like you don't get, like, it's like if you didn't remind me, no more reminders.

Speaker 4 Zach was locked and loaded.

Speaker 1 Like, you're like, oh, I told, I'd do something, and then, and I also don't believe you didn't remind him, but that doesn't matter. I didn't.

Speaker 4 Oh, no, it was no reminding, and Zach was on the couch, and he was fired up to do the act. Max was shaking his head.

Speaker 1 I pointed, no, I'm shaking my head at you.

Speaker 8 He didn't remind you.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I pointed at my phone, and he was like, What? And then I was like, I think I said we need a game, and he just ripped it off. No reminder before.

Speaker 8 Zach comes prepared with everything at any

Speaker 8 moment.

Speaker 1 Yes, every interview we do,

Speaker 1 showing up to the podcast. Oh,

Speaker 1 fair point.

Speaker 1 God, he's got now. Zach got you.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 It's fine.

Speaker 6 He did a good job. Okay.

Speaker 4 He did a great job. Great job.
I like seeing you there, though.

Speaker 1 No, you don't. I do.

Speaker 4 I like you so much, Hank. I made a doll out of you.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that was actually going to be my Firefest.

Speaker 1 My Firefest is that my boy Hank, my brother, he doesn't like the doll that we made for me.

Speaker 10 My dog is obsessed with this toy.

Speaker 8 I swear to God,

Speaker 8 it hasn't left her side since I gave it to her.

Speaker 1 It's the best.

Speaker 8 Like, I woke up this morning and she jumped into bed and just, I just woke up with the Hank doll just in my bed because she was just playing with it.

Speaker 1 I got something about the Hank toy.

Speaker 8 Everywhere she goes, she brings that toy.

Speaker 4 Got home from work yesterday. Blake sprints down the stairs with Hank in his mouth.

Speaker 1 What are you doing, Hank? What did you just text?

Speaker 1 Nothing.

Speaker 4 It's a great toy. Not just for dogs either.
Like a kid.

Speaker 1 Everyone. Anyone.
It's great. Granted.
What did you just do? Nothing. Once you started talking about it, you just picked up your phone and text.
Don't worry about it.

Speaker 4 Okay. It's a fantastic toy.
The Hank toy is a good toy.

Speaker 8 And I can't, Black Friday people.

Speaker 8 I'm excited for the feature.

Speaker 4 I think it's going to sell.

Speaker 1 Oh my God.

Speaker 1 I actually wish we had like a store because

Speaker 1 it would be like early 2000s new Xbox waiting, people waiting in line for three nights. Black Friday shit.

Speaker 8 Do you think it'll be Carstick?

Speaker 8 Yeah.

Speaker 4 Oh, I think it's going to be the Smash Car Stick.

Speaker 1 Carsticks are limited editions. What store are these? This is also a limited edition.
So then it doesn't, how can you type beat? Well, because opening fast. Hope Carsticks sell out.
Black Friday.

Speaker 8 I've either

Speaker 1 this amount of promotion for a car sick.

Speaker 1 We did an entire

Speaker 1 podcast about it. We had a

Speaker 1 animation about it. It was one of our first viral clips.
That was before we sold it.

Speaker 4 Yeah, I know. Yeah, so it had like a year of promotion built into it.

Speaker 1 We just showed people a doll of you, and it's just like, they're going fucking.

Speaker 1 They're going bananas.

Speaker 4 I can't wait for the first AWL that gets it and then sends us a video of their dog humping Hank.

Speaker 1 Oh, yeah.

Speaker 8 We're going to have to put a limit because there's so many people that are like, Can I, like, what is the maximum amount of these that I could buy? Yeah.

Speaker 8 Like, it might be the one thing that people just are going to want to buy all of them

Speaker 1 at once.

Speaker 4 And then people are going to take them on vacation with them, and we'll get to see Hank at the Eiffel Tower, Lil Hank at the pyramids. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 I saw a request to make one with a hole in its mouth. Oh,

Speaker 1 that's I'm down for that.

Speaker 1 That's where I draw the line.

Speaker 4 Was that for memes?

Speaker 1 Also, I was sick and they just desecrated my desk area. Memes did.
Oh, no.

Speaker 4 What do you keep taxing? Don't worry about it.

Speaker 1 We tape Lil Hank to the wall.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 4 I want to do Lil Hank videos like Lil Penny from back in the day. R.I.P.
the Penny, by the way. Not Penny Hardaway, but the coin.

Speaker 4 Maybe get

Speaker 4 maybe R.A.'s voice for Hank, for Lil Hank.

Speaker 4 That'd be a good one.

Speaker 1 Just think about it, Hank. Never go by.

Speaker 4 Hank, you're going to be a superstar. PFT? You are a superstar, Hank.

Speaker 4 I've had a pretty good week. Nothing really that I would consider to be a fire fest, except for the fact that I've put something off for a very long time that I have to now address.

Speaker 4 Got to put the El Camito up for the winter time.

Speaker 1 Right when you got the right when I got the mullet.

Speaker 1 I actually had

Speaker 8 you may have to wait a little bit. Why?

Speaker 8 You could put it up for the winter time, but

Speaker 8 ads asked if they could do an ad. Oh, look at that.

Speaker 1 Okay, yeah. All right.
Well, then it pipes it out. Listen.

Speaker 4 Yeah, just extended a little bit more. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 8 You could extend it a little bit more.

Speaker 4 Okay, I like that a lot because I've been putting it off for a while and then it finally snowed and it's like, okay, now I got to wait for the snow to melt.

Speaker 4 I'm going to try to park it in the office again. But now we got two Vanny Woodheads that are in the loading bay.
So we might have to rearrange those so I can keep the El Camino in there. But

Speaker 1 yeah, it's

Speaker 4 a bitter time of year. The El Camino, Max is right.
Great summer. Clean summer.
Started every single time.

Speaker 4 Didn't break down. It's so back.
That thing is so back. We got one healthy year under its belt.
Next season, we're going to come in with all the expectations and nothing's going to go wrong.

Speaker 4 Super Bowl season for the El Camino. This was the year before the year.
I love it. El Camino.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I loved it. I love it.
Okay, Zach. I don't.
I had a... My firefest is that Hank has a toy after him.
He doesn't like it. I would love it.
I thought he would love it.

Speaker 4 I would absolutely love it if there was

Speaker 4 an FT action figure.

Speaker 1 And also, I'm two for two on successfully doing the Tooth Fairy, but I forgot my son is scared of the Tooth Fairy. Kind of lame by him, but whatever.

Speaker 1 So when the tooth fairy, when he lost tooth and tooth fairy came, he came in at like three in the morning. It was like, I had to, like, he came in multiple times.
Tooth fairy, I don't know.

Speaker 1 I'm kind of done with the tooth fairy, but I am awesome at it. Two for two.
Ten singles this time. That's pretty good.
It was pretty. He was pumped.
He was like, I got. I was like, what'd you get?

Speaker 1 He's like, $1,

Speaker 1 but 10 of them. It's like, fuck yes.

Speaker 4 That feels like way more money to a kid than if you gave him like $100 billion. Yes.

Speaker 1 Yes.

Speaker 1 Okay, Zach.

Speaker 9 My firefish of the week is strike zones.

Speaker 1 Oh. I recently entered

Speaker 9 a club around the world of umpires.

Speaker 9 I just want to make sure that I do the umpire, the other dudes in the club proud.

Speaker 9 I hope I'm worried about how dialed my strike zone was. I think I might have kept it too tight.
Yeah.

Speaker 4 The strike zone out now?

Speaker 1 Video is out today.

Speaker 8 If you're listening to this Friday morning, it will be out this afternoon.

Speaker 1 Love it.

Speaker 1 So it's max punishment. It is out.
Pitching against the Savannah Bananas.

Speaker 5 It's fun. It was fun very well.

Speaker 8 In a very cool big stadium in Chicago. Yep.
In the southern side of Chicago.

Speaker 1 A Chicago baseball stadium. Yep.

Speaker 4 And, Zach, you think that your strike zone was too small? Yeah,

Speaker 9 I think there could have been a little bit of liberties.

Speaker 1 I think it should have been smaller. Yeah.
It was a pretty big zone. It was a pretty big zone.

Speaker 4 I did a pretty good job framing those pitches, too. Fantastic job framing.

Speaker 8 I also would like to pre-apologize. I was talking some shit on every single one of you.
Oh,

Speaker 1 and that's all. Oh, really? Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 I don't care. Oh, yeah.
Who the fuck cares? What uh, who so Stephen Che lost? Who finished second this last year?

Speaker 9 I did.

Speaker 1 Oh, so you're gonna catch Stephen Che. That wouldn't never get out of that one.

Speaker 9 I'm gonna catch Stephen Che, and he's gonna pitch strikes. Yeah, he's got this.
I believe in Stephen Che's arm.

Speaker 1 I don't. I don't.

Speaker 1 Okay, good show, boys.

Speaker 1 Let's do the lottery ball. It is brought to you by Jack Pocket.

Speaker 1 Numbers. Three.
Zach also has another fire for us. Oh, oh,

Speaker 1 okay.

Speaker 9 I guess I had a quick one.

Speaker 9 Renewing subscriptions. Uh-huh.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I'm not.

Speaker 9 There needs to be options to where renewing subscriptions need to go away. We need notifications on do you want to opt in this month? We need opt-in subscriptions.

Speaker 1 I just

Speaker 1 completely agree because I had that happen to me today where I finally went into my phone.

Speaker 1 I was like, I got a renewal for like PokerGo because I watched our coworkers play in the World Series of poker. I'd just been paying PokerGo $20 a month

Speaker 1 from like years, for years. I'm the same way.

Speaker 4 I think I have a DeZone subscription from, I think it was an old Canelo Alvarez fight that I got. And my strategy on those is just losing your debit card once a year.
Yeah.

Speaker 4 Because then if you cancel that, then it gets rid of all the old ones. Kind of nature takes the course on that one.
What do you have?

Speaker 9 Last month, I was entering a lot of giveaways on Twitch, and

Speaker 9 last night it felt like I lost all the giveaways again because they just hit me for all the subscriptions.

Speaker 1 I was like, this is a double loss.

Speaker 9 Didn't hit on any of the sweepstakes and just got absolutely how many subscriptions?

Speaker 9 Quite a few. I had like 15, 20.

Speaker 1 Oh, no.

Speaker 4 You get five subs and they enter you to win.

Speaker 1 So like, say, five subs is 25, 30 bucks.

Speaker 9 And they're like, bam, you can win this PC. So you got to enter.

Speaker 1 And so how much is each sub?

Speaker 7 Each sub is like six bucks.

Speaker 1 So you, so last night you just got hit with like over $100 of subs?

Speaker 9 I got hit for like $125. I got banged.
Oh, damn.

Speaker 1 Not good. It was a second loss.

Speaker 7 Did you cancel it?

Speaker 1 Cancel it? Did you cancel it? Oh, yeah, immediately. Okay, all right.

Speaker 8 So just a one-time loss.

Speaker 1 That is something I would do where I would just forget to cancel it again. Have a month go by.

Speaker 9 I'm down to enter new giveaways, but I can't get banged for the giveaways a third time.

Speaker 6 We need to get Zach.

Speaker 1 We need to win. I want Zach to win one of these giveaways.
Like Zach driving to the office in a Lamborghini. Like, how'd you get this? Well, I just answered so many times in a Twitch giveaway.

Speaker 6 Yeah, speed.

Speaker 4 Speed gave it to me. Yeah.

Speaker 1 You just got to sub up.

Speaker 9 Anybody can win.

Speaker 1 Sub up. By the way, please sub up to Pardon My Take YouTube and go watch the video on

Speaker 1 Pardon My Take YouTube. Max versus Fan of Bananas.
Okay, numbers. 22.

Speaker 1 Memes already said three.

Speaker 8 77.

Speaker 4 15.

Speaker 1 Today's notes.

Speaker 1 News. You can't get it now.
Jets are going to win tonight. I'll go 18.
What? What?

Speaker 1 It's just his day. Memes is never gonna get it.

Speaker 1 I don't think the Jets are gonna win.

Speaker 1 Cover?

Speaker 4 44. Did they cover memes? 86.

Speaker 1 I don't think that is gonna happen.

Speaker 1 Oh, 18.

Speaker 1 19.

Speaker 1 19.

Speaker 4 Love you guys.
