Hey, everybody.

Welcome back to the Find Out podcast, episode 49.

We've almost made it to 50 already.

Sometimes it feels like one, sometimes it feels like 500.

So we've almost made it there.

Lots of news today.

We're in day six of the shutdown.

We're going to talk about that and how Trump's losing.

We're also going to talk about some of these awful scenes we're seeing out of Chicago and also Trump trying to send the National Guard into Oregon as well.

So guys, on the shutdown,

how are we feeling?

We enjoying it?

This is great.

No services?

Yeah.

Well, I want to start off with a

truth social post from Trump, which shows me that he believes that he is losing the messaging war on this, and that he actually attacked Fox News yesterday for allowing the audacity to allow Democratic Senator Mark Kelly to come on and be interviewed by Steve Ducey.

Doocy, Doucey, whatever the hell his name is, Clownboy.

Sorry, I'm not very good with the nicknames like Trump is, but

and you know,

Kelly basically destroyed the main argument that Republicans have been making about why Democrats want the government shutdown, which is we want quote unquote illegals to be on Medicare and Medicaid, which is 100% a lie.

And I don't think Trump liked seeing his audience be told that, that no, in fact, undocumented immigrants are not eligible for Medicare, Medicaid, or even Social Security.

So it kind of feels like Democrats so far maybe have the upper hand.

And we see in polling, there's some polls that have

people blaming Trump by 17 points.

I've heard it's higher than that.

I haven't really seen anything to counter that.

So

I hate to frame it in winning because everybody loses, like we said last week, but like, is Trump in trouble?

Kind of feels like maybe.

He knows he's he's got a mountain to climb.

Independent voters, yeah, I think it was

Washington Post

text interviewed a thousand different voters, and independent voters were 50 to 22 against Trump as a starting point.

This was like 24 hours after the shutdown started.

So,

and the majority of voters were, I think it was, yeah, 47 to 20 something or 30 something.

So, it was like I said, yeah, 17-point margin, 47 to 30, I think.

He knows he's got a massive

uphill fight.

And

it's really not going to get better because I think as people look around, you look at every big shutdown, it's almost always under uniform, unified government, Republican control.

The last many have been

under the same circumstances.

It's a familiar place that we found ourselves in, and that works against them because everybody assumes, well, it's unflinching, rigid people who are causing the shutdown.

They have every lever of power known to the American government besides the filibuster, and they can't figure out how to govern with the filibuster in place.

It's a dog shit policy.

That's why.

Yeah, it's true.

I mean,

coming back to the original, why this shutdown is happening is because the Republicans passed their big bullshit bill, which took 15 million Americans off their health care and got rid of a lot of these ACA subsidies that helped to make health care affordable for people.

And

Democrats were like, well, we're not going to help you pass a budget that takes away health care for people.

And also, by the way, makes it more expensive for everybody else.

Because we have to remember, if there are less people paying for insurance, the costs then get shared around by that smaller group of people.

Meaning you, everybody here who is on an employer healthcare plan and across the country is going to see their rates go up.

And I think people are figuring it out.

And Democrats are just saying, we are just trying to keep costs down as much as we can.

And Republicans, of course, respond with, well, you want to give health care to illegal immigrants, which, again,

is illegal.

It can't be done without any sort of legislation, which clearly is not going to happen.

So that is not what Democrats are holding out for.

The fun thing is they're so pissy about this fucking, you know, the fact that illegal immigrants can go to the emergency room and get treated.

And if they want to blame somebody, blame the guy who put the law in place.

Ronald Reagan.

What was that?

Ronald Reagan.

If you want to blame somebody, blame Reagan, you fuck.

If you actually look at what Reagan said, like he wouldn't, he would be a rhino if not like ostracized, like he would like thrown out of the Republican Party.

they'd be calling him a socialist like people don't realize how it'd be a goddamn demon how far they've gone to the right because like richard nixon gerald ford ronald reagan even george hw bush hell even george w bush none of these people even dick cheney none of these people like trump or or believe any of the that he believes so it's it's alarming when you actually look at yeah okay where did this policy come from and the stuff like scalia said in the past it's routinely liberal sounding compared to the shit that trump tries to get away with i'm I'm actually amazed right now that Democrats seem to be winning the narrative.

I mean, I went on record last week

saying like, don't fucking do it because you're going to fucking lose.

So, you know, I don't know if I'm ready to eat crow yet because there's still fucking time, but I'm amazed.

I thought we lived in a post-truth society where

where the facts didn't fucking matter and that it didn't matter that Democrats were fighting for people's health care right i thought nobody would give a shit and they just listened to whatever trump you know fucking tweeted about uh so i i don't know am am i wrong maybe like i guess so far yeah yeah i mean i look like and i think it's clear to explain to people how the republicans have managed to spin this lie around this teeny teeny nugget of reality.

What

they're talking about in this law that was passed by Ronald Reagan is essentially reimbursing ERs or hospitals for providing services to people who do not have health insurance.

That includes anybody that walks through the door.

We live in a society where if you go to the emergency room, you will get care no matter what.

What they're saying is essentially that they want hospitals either to eat the cost and be like, screw you, you're on your own, or to deny people, which I guess would be racial profiling or requiring some sort of documentation.

Hey, wait, just like while you're having your heart attack, get your insurance card out or we're not helping you.

Right.

Bring your papers with you if you're bleeding to death in a car crash.

Yeah.

Somebody stabs you in the face.

Yeah.

Or I have your insurance card school and got shot or something.

Like, make sure you've got your passport with you.

Like,

that's the whole thing.

And I'm really glad that I've seen

Democratic senators across the political spectrum from the more conservative types like Mark Kelly, who went on Fox News and said, no, you are lying about this.

We also saw Elizabeth Warren, which is, she's very much to the left go on CBS.

And they tried the same.

The thing that's like frustrating is also like the framing of a lot of this is all of these, these media folks, not just the Fox News people, but CBS even was like, Republicans are saying you want illegal immigrants to have health care.

Like the framing, they're even like given a bullshit framing.

And I think people I've seen have done a really good job of just being like, no,

which we never do, right?

We always try to explain.

And for one of the first times, it's like, no, that's a lie.

This is what we want.

And I think that's it.

They've always had terrible arguments.

My entire life, Republicans, like they're still saying trickle-down is a thing.

They're still saying supply side is a thing.

And Reaganomics.

It's not a fucking thing.

None of these things are things.

None of them are real.

None of them are good.

And yet they get away with it because they say things that are just

like viscerally relatable for the most basic of people.

You know, the average American has an eighth-grade reading level.

I think liberals, we like, we write for the professor, and conservatives write for the, the, the child.

Like, they write for the student, they message for the student.

Um, that's something that we need to get better at.

And right.

Prices are bad.

I'm like, I don't know about that.

I like cheap oil prices.

I'm like, you know why they're cheap, right?

It's because we're in a recession.

But no doubt.

But that's, well, and exactly, is just, you know, the deep state.

We have to get better about that.

And now I think we've finally gotten that message.

I mean, Gavin Newsom has gotten that message.

There's there, Pritzker has gotten the message.

I think we're seeing

Mamdani certainly, we're seeing an emergence of leaders and, you know, Jasmine Kroc at NAOC, I think have gotten that for a long time

that You have to speak very plainly and very clearly.

It doesn't mean that it's not a complex argument, but you have to do the extra extra work, especially when you have a complex argument.

You have to do the extra work that is required to make it digestible for the average person so that they can repeat it to their maybe frustrating uncle or friends or neighbors in a way that also, you know, helps spread the message.

Well, I think the thing that's been really helpful is they've been very smart about focusing on cost.

And, you know, we've talked a lot about this that, you know, Democrats, Democrats like, you know, they call us, you know, some of us bleeding heart liberals for a reason.

We wear, you know, we care.

But the problem is for most Americans, you need to tell them why it matters to them.

Not like, because we never really face adversity.

There's no threats of war in the United States very much.

Like people generally live very well.

So it's hard to imagine things that happen millions of miles away affecting them.

But in this particular case, it's very easy, right?

Less people getting health insurance means less people paying for health insurance, which means everybody pays more.

Very easy for everybody to understand.

Right.

And that says nothing about the fucking tax subsidies, right?

Right.

You don't have to get into the incentives and the ACA, whether you call it that or you call it Obamacare.

Well, they don't understand the difference, right?

Well, right, but that's, but that's the art, that's the thing, right?

Like if you, and if you are somebody that works a nine to five job, 40 hours a week, and you get health care through

your employer, you probably haven't paid attention to the ACA because it doesn't affect you.

You may have a negative or a positive reaction based on what people have told you, but like you wouldn't necessarily understand about the subsidies, right?

So like, why even talk about it?

Like we, we don't need to.

We just say less people on health insurance means higher costs.

And it's working.

Yep.

Which sucks.

Like, yeah, it's tough to admit that we might actually win this one.

Well, don't forget.

Don't forget, we are pretty good at snatching, what is it?

Defeat from the jaws of the feet from the jaws of victory.

we all know it because it's so fucking familiar.

Like, yeah, no, I didn't know that phrase.

I would wake up to that phrase.

The one thing, though, we have always generally won these shutdown debates because generally what happens in them is that people start to,

it starts to become more real how government actually helps people.

When you take those things away, right?

I mean, it's again, it's back to like the self-interest thing, but like, you know, things are closed or like you can't, you can't call the federal government for anything right now.

Not that anybody really ever wants to, but if you do call the federal government they blame the democrats well

and then this

reporting that caroline levitt left yeah so they're the

it feels so small now but like the so republicans and the trump administration have weaponized their government websites and social media to blame democrats now this is a viol very obvious violation of the law but a lot

i uh i think so and but the problem is the hatch act doesn't have any teeth.

So they just don't care.

What do you mean the Trump administration is going to do something illegal?

Right, right.

Now,

I would argue that the next person who is president should in their platform say that they are actually going to put teeth in the Hatch Act to make sure that this stuff doesn't happen.

But

I was

in the Obama administration in 2013, and I think I talked about it last time, but like if I had, you know, we had to all put the boxes up on our websites and whatever.

If I had said like,

well, well, it was before MAGA, but radical Republicans are at it again and trying to, I would have been fired.

But in this administration, I feel like I said that a lot about things that I would have been fired for things that they let happen in this, but

they have politicized what is supposed to be the part of the government that is just supposed to be providing services.

And of course, they've weaponized that.

Politicized, as I was going to say, is a pretty generous word.

Yeah, they've

violently weaponized every part of the government.

You You guys want to hear some good news?

Yes.

Yeah.

You guys remember Taco?

Yeah.

Yeah.

Trump always check-ins out.

As I, you know, I don't, I don't, I don't have eyeball cancer.

And so I went to his true social page to read some of his

posts and see if I could, you know,

infect my brain.

I don't envy you.

Don't do it, you guys.

There's so many ads you have to scroll through before you can get to the actual cancer-inducing

content.

Is it just

selling gold or selling like crypto or like bullshit.

Ever Becton, yeah.

Everything.

Sometimes it's seven or eight ads you have to scroll through before you get to the first thing that he actually wrote.

Anyway, so this morning, Monday morning, he posted, and this is full-on taco, but he never says it outright.

You have to read it between the lines.

He said, this morning I had a very good telephone call with President Lula of Brazil.

We discussed many things, but it was mostly focused on the economy and trade between our two countries.

We will be having further discussions and we'll get together in the not-too-distant future, both in Brazil and the United States.

I enjoyed the call.

Our countries will do very well together.

That was a Trump true social post.

And I want to remind you that he tried to extort favors for Bolsonaro by with the whole reason the tariffs exist is because he was trying to keep his buddy, who is now in prison for the rest of his life, Jair Bolsonaro or Jair Bolsonaro I think is how you say it in Portuguese

because he tried to overthrow the government and impose martial law and throw out the Supreme Court is basically

like a shot for shot remake of January 6th and 2020 2021

but they didn't cave they convicted him he's in prison I think he got a 19 or 20 year sentence and he's like 70 years old so good luck buddy he's

um

and and Trump lost his shit they he said like oh everything's gonna get worse We're going to punish Brazil.

He tried to continue to extort them and they said, fuck off.

And now, lo and behold, he's looking at coffee and beef prices, both of which have gone through the roof because of his tariffs on Brazil.

And,

oh, now he wants to be friends with their president again.

And he's just not, he's not going to cover the fact that he just absolutely ate shit and lost that fight.

I was just kidding.

He didn't write that post, by the way.

The punctuation is correct.

Yeah.

He capitalized countries

in both instances.

It's like

you have to go out of your way to be as stupid as he is.

And I bet it makes a lot of sense for the people who failed high school English and who just lost their minds that they're not.

You should read between the lines.

Do you know what that means?

And yes, I guarantee you.

He's literally looking between the lines going, there's no words here.

They're there and there are really tough to tell apart for them.

It is hard to type on a phone after you've like eaten 12 cheeseburgers and all the grease from the wrappers from McDonald's.

I bet the keyboard doesn't work right for him.

He's trying to use the thumb.

Can you imagine how dirty his keyboard is?

He's like all the

screen on his phone is an edited picture of himself.

Like his home screen is like a grayed out picture of himself.

Oh, that doesn't surprise me.

Fucking it.

I see it in a picture of the screen.

He is kidding me.

He's the biggest narcissist there is.

He is the biggest narcissist in

American history, but maybe ever.

I mean, it is just.

but it's interesting to see him now, all of a sudden, he's playing nice with

Lula,

who is very much not a fan of Donald Trump.

No.

I also saw that he has announced, or he's looking at giving farmers relief from his tariffs, basically just taking money away from them.

having the American consumers pay a tariff, and then he's going to give them money to basically not farm because they can't sell their soybeans because of the tariffs and that they have moved uh moved on to buying argentinian soybeans which we are also bailing argent

argentine argentina out at the tune of 20 billion dollars even though it's heating our large as farmers or welfare queens

we could do i don't know if that's i would rather

i would rather have their vote yeah i can we just like bring them to

no no no no but like look look look look but we yes like look like, everybody,

it's an interesting conversation, right?

Because there's this whole, how do you take advantage of a situation like this and explain to people how they're being screwed?

They're not allowed to do that.

They're not going to realize they're being screwed as soon as they get their money back.

But if what do you like, look at that Trump refund check.

Exactly.

Which is better, though?

Is it just being able to say, fuck you, idiots, or attempt to bring some of them either to our side of the world?

Because I want to vote.

It happened again.

They got fucked in 2016 in the first term.

And they said, all right, I'll vote for him again.

Tim, you gave me my money back.

The oyster man, what the fuck's his name?

Graham Plattner.

Graham Plattner had a video that he put out this weekend where somebody asked a dumb, what was an objectively dumb question, being like, what about giving Medicare to the illegals?

And like everybody in the crowd was like, that's not true.

And they freaked the fuck out, as I absolutely would have if I were there and and Plattner took the time to say like no like don't make this person eat shit they're not stupid they've just been deceived

if you listen to what she was saying no

just hear me out if you listen to what she was saying At its core, she's angry about the exact same things you are.

People are propagandized, people are misinformed, but people are are not stupid.

And we shouldn't treat them as such.

People are angry because they know they're being screwed.

They might get lied to, they might get taken in.

If somebody robs your neighbor's house, you don't go over there and laugh at them afterwards.

They've been taken advantage of.

And that's what this is.

People are being robbed.

They're being robbed of their critical thinking.

They're being robbed of their empathy.

The answer to that is not shame.

the answer to that is not anger the answer to that is empathy and compassion thank you

now i don't personally think that there's a tremendous difference between being fooled by everything and being stupid so but you know i i'm gonna side with with luke on this um i mean you give me the challenge sometimes you have to bully people who are hurting everyone i mean if i could get to them and change their vote i absolutely want that right well i'm gonna

see what happens well we're gonna do i'm gonna imaginary because we'll just ask to put it in.

We'll put in the clip of Graham talking about this so you can see, because I think the way he says this is really important.

And I'm also a big Graham Plattner fan.

I met him last week and he's an awesome dude.

And he's going to come on the

show soon, I hope.

But the extension of that,

of what he said, though, was like

that person feels everybody feels screwed right now, whether you're a Republican, a Democrat, or an Independent.

Everyone feels like they have been screwed.

The question is, who have you been screwed by?

And I actually thought, I don't, he's probably not going to change that person's vote because if they're saying illegals are like getting all this stuff, it's not true.

But it's an interesting framing and I will be really interested to see because I actually think it will play very well in Maine, which I'm from, where I'm from.

Like, I think that type of like

opportunity.

doesn't present itself very often, but he took it there.

And I'll be interested to see if it makes some people, at least in the middle.

I don't mean the 30% of MAGA, but I mean that other 20%

that can kind of go back and forth, whether that's a good approach.

Because also, like, telling them they're stupid doesn't, even though maybe it feels good in the moment, isn't going to get us out of this mess.

But, but is telling them that they've been deceived any different?

Like, the hardest thing for a human being to accept is that they're, that they're stupid, like that they've been deceived.

So, is like,

is that really, is there a difference there?

Do you imagine the person in the crowd when Graham Plattner said that felt any less stupid?

I don't know.

I don't know.

But I do think that there is at least a little bit of a wiggle room out of that.

I mean, Donald Trump is a master con artist.

He is a scam artist.

He has done this his entire life.

He is very good at it.

And at least in that scenario, you could give somebody, there's a little bit of an out.

If you say, hey, you fucking idiot, how stupid can you be?

There's, there's, there's no wiggle room, right?

That person.

I don't know.

I get a lot of DMs.

I do get a lot of shout outs.

I've shooken some people into life, but I have one pushback.

There are still a lot of people who voted for Reaganomics who still think Reaganomics are the way.

The trickle down is just still coming someday.

And those people are dumber than fuck.

And at this point, you just got to tell them.

They don't have any, like, there's no reason.

And they should have been told when it happened.

I mean, we have seen this.

Republicans have, what, cut taxes four or five times since Reagan, and it literally has never helped.

Every time, nothing happens.

Never.

Just more than ever helps.

But there are still people who vote for it every time.

Right.

Well, and you've also seen, if you look at the inequality in the country,

the thing that's striking to me is the difference between a CEO's pay and the lowest paid person in the early 1980s was something like 20 to 1, which, you know, probably is roughly around, maybe it should be a little smaller.

Those numbers are like in the hundreds to one, if not thousands to one now.

And it is because when you give massive tax cuts to rich people

at the cost of services, of course, this is going to spread out the inequality in this country because you weren't.

Those people aren't going to take that money and go, oh, I'm going to put it back in the business.

No, they're going to put it in their pocket.

So I agree with that.

But I also think that they're, you know,

I think we have to try sometimes.

I think you're right.

I think it's a different 20% and the 30%.

I also think there is a difference between, you know, your demographic that you tend to reach out to are generally on the younger side and generally are not as politically informed.

So I think telling them that they're being idiots probably works better than you, if you tell a 50-year-old they're being an idiot, that they're just, you're just not going to,

you're not going to change their mind.

You're not going to change their mind with fucking facts, though, because clearly they don't matter.

That, I mean, we all, we all know that there's about 20, what, 25, 30% of people who, who won't be saved.

They can't be saved.

They won't be saved.

That was George W.

Bush's low point.

That was Trump's low point.

After January 6th, after he had lost election, he still had an approval rating of like 28%.

So we, we have to understand that a certain percent of people, we have to just let go.

They're just going to go, you know, they, they hate women.

They hate black people.

They hate Hispanic people.

They're just pissed off and they're shitty people.

And I hate that it's one out of four

adults in this country, but that's where we're at.

But I think that is something that's hardest for me because, like, Luke or Tim earlier, you know, you basically described the different approaches between my videos and Luke's videos, where Luke is like, you're a fucking idiot.

Go fix yourself.

And they might be like, no, fuck you, bitch.

And then, like, they go home.

That's, that's my.

That's how that's my impression of her.

That's my Republican impression.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Well, there's some good ones.

But then you're putting it on them to go home and hopefully within a matter of days or weeks, they quietly to themselves, like Trump did with Brazil, without saying anything out loud, go, maybe I was acting like a fucking idiot.

And then they stop acting like a fucking idiot and they think.

But like that requires them to be introspective enough to get there on their own.

Which is why you got to say something really mean.

It has to hurt.

And it does work for a certain percent of people.

There's not a black and white solution for this for a certain level of people.

I try as hard as I can to beat my head against a brick wall and appeal to

their desire for betterness for all of us because I really need it to be true that that exists within most people.

Because I don't want to live in a country where it doesn't.

So we take both approaches.

If we can get five, six people.

That's the real example.

Yeah.

You get those people.

I'll get our people.

and

we can get somebody like 52% of the vote.

I agree.

I think the one thing that I think we sometimes forget, and it is hard for those of us who follow politics, is how many low-information voters there are in this country.

There are some people who literally voted for Donald Trump because they heard from their friend of a friend that he was going to lower prices.

That's all they voted for.

They didn't think about the racism.

They didn't think about the stupid economic policies.

They heard things would get cheaper.

And so that's who, you know, that's who I'm going to vote for.

That's the person that I'm talking about having a conversation with, because that, there is some wiggle room there.

They are, they are a very tough audience to reach.

So I'm not saying like we're going to win over a million people.

But in this day and age where this country is pretty close to 50-50 split, like whoever wins those people generally wins those elections.

And I don't think that

the 60-year-old, I'm going to go older, the 60-year-old who gets told that they're an idiot has any chance for voting for our candidate.

Lucas, did you convince some older people?

There is one video I've done that had a lot of that.

And it was after Trump put out an executive order that declared there were two genders and whatever gender you were at conception was the gender you are for life.

And I made the case, which I think was perfectly reasonable, is that at conception, you're non-binary because you're male and female have the same parts till about six weeks of gestation.

And so I said, I'm going to call all you motherfuckers non-binary, not because I think it's an insult, but because you do.

And there were a lot of comments from people that are in that age group that are like, well, I didn't realize that that was how it works.

And I was like, yeah, because you failed height fucking eighth grade biology.

But like,

you have to think.

I mean, that's, that was the issue then, which is that Trump couldn't, Trump classified something that scientists don't agree about.

And that's never going to work.

But sometimes like the more forceful spin on the way things actually are is what they need.

So, I, the question that I want to know is: like, could Suzanne Lambert run for Congress?

Yes.

Like, like, could, could she

say, fuck that.

What, with what Nancy Mace says, fuck it.

Like, I, I think this

needs some bullies.

And Suzanne Lambert is a comedian who

who recalls, he, she calls calls herself a Regina George liberal.

So a character from the movie Mean Girls.

And

she is brilliant.

And she does these incredible takedowns, specifically of Nancy Mace, and especially because Nancy Mace went from being okay with the LGBTQ community to realizing that she can raise a ton of money off of MAGA if she just is an absolute horrific bigot against trans people.

And

I think that the Democrats need some bullies.

If I were to ever run for office, and I will not, I promise you that, my entire campaign platform would be, I am going there to force Marjorie Taylor Greene to leave.

That would be it.

That would be my one promise.

I would say, I will run for this office.

Mike Lawler is currently the

replace Lawler, you fund my campaign, the only thing that I am doing for this district is making Marjorie Taylor Greene leave Congress, right?

And then once she's gone, I'll find a new person.

But, like, that is what the Democratic Party needs.

You need absolute horrific bullies to match the meanness and the angry, uh, the anger that comes because it's not just about causing harm, it's about inspiring.

Luke inspires the shit out of a lot of people.

That's why he's got the biggest following, right?

This meanness, this, this anger is something that Democrats have been running away from my entire life.

It's why there's all of these ideas about us being like purple-haired, blue-haired, you know, intersex, whatever, like, right?

Like

all of the Republican MAGA types are able to have this caricature in their heads because there's no mean fucking bully who's making it so clear that that is not, you know, the only standard that it makes the comparison impossible to make.

So

that is what I would love to see more Democrats do.

Just be like, I am going there to bully the shit out of all of these MAGA morons, like make Marjorie Taylor Greene cry

because you are just presenting the facts in a way that hurts her brain and hurts her feelings.

I'm more of that.

I'm curious because I don't disagree, but now I want to pull on this, like this campaign of getting MTG out of Congress.

How would you do that?

Because she doesn't have a lot of self-awareness.

So how would you do that?

Well, first, I would wait until the discharge petition because

she is on the right side of getting the Epstein files out.

Supposedly.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

I don't believe it.

She already signed it, though.

She already signed it.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And I think that's locked, right?

Yeah.

Is it locked?

I think

we don't see these very often.

But anyways, how are we?

So

keep going.

So after the Epstein files are released and she's done the one good thing that she will ever do,

you just follow her around like she used to do to David Hoke.

Treat her exactly the way that she treated David Hoke.

Just walk behind her and talk to make it so that she can't think.

You're irrevocable, by the way.

One of my,

I am a, I was a bad person in high school.

One of the things that I enjoyed during cross-country, because I was really bad at it, was driving people insane.

Like I was just fast enough to be where the varsity people would be if they were injured.

And me and my buddy Andrew would sing John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt for 20 minutes to run 3.1 miles.

And we would make these people lose their minds.

Like if I was in Congress, I would just sing John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt all day.

every day from the moment that Marjorie Taylor Greene stepped on the grounds of the U.S.

Capitol, I would just be singing behind her.

Can we just do this?

We could just sketch you down there.

I began this rant by saying, I promise I will never run.

So, oh, you don't have to run to do it.

She wasn't a member of Congress.

If I could find enough people to draft me so I don't actually have to run, then fine.

Like, I'll take the seat, but that's that's the best you're going to get from me.

I mean, Lawler is a swing district.

And maybe that guy's as close to a bozo as you can get.

Well, maybe people will hear this and there will be a draft chris for congress

to what is what was your

makeup make marjorie go crazy or something

yeah uh okay well you know if this happens organically i'm gonna be pissed oh yeah you're gonna that's that's gonna be a that's good you're gonna be in a tough spot but uh make marjorie a civilian again

i like it i like it because people i don't know if people realize this she chased david hog who is a

gun violence survivor from the Parkland

shooting.

And he was up there right after this happened.

And like as a kid, he was like 18, 19, something like that.

He's not that old now.

I think he's still a minor.

Oh, was he a minor?

He was under 18.

So he's 17.

She, who wasn't in Congress at this point, made an effort to go follow him and harass him.

This is a guy who survived a mass shooting in which one of his colleagues or colleague students

in his class killed

eight, ten.

I can't remember.

I can't keep track of all of them.

And this is what the grown adult decided to do.

So I, you know what?

Like, she did that.

I think that's fine.

I think we can do that.

Well, let's move from one topic.

This is a bad pivot.

Let's move from one topic to another.

This is not a good conversation, but

so there was some activity in Chicago over the weekend where ICE apparently was living out there, like, you know, war fantasies and

Raya.

Basically, like, they were literally

repelling down from helicopters to do these immigration raids and claiming that it was a war zone.

But as Governor Pritzker, I think, accurately said, he was like, well, you guys were the ones that came in with like guns and tear gas and started to cause chaos in the streets.

You basically like made this happen.

I don't feel like this went too well for them.

I think people kind of looked at this and were like,

this is bad.

This is very bad.

And I don't see a lot of

like a lot of kudos being shared with them.

It kind of looks like people saw this and were like, we don't want this like at all.

And we know that they are now trying to go to Oregon or to Portland.

The hellhole on earth, as they refer to it.

I'm convinced that they're showing Trump old videos of Portland.

There is no fucking way they're showing him modern stuff.

So, Portland has crime, just like every city, right?

And they had some decriminalization stuff, which I think they may have gone back on some of.

But they have crime, just like New York City has crime, just like Chicago has crime, just like Memphis, the most dangerous city in the country, has crime.

Mostly the red states have the worst crime in their cities.

It's just man, this is just manufactured distraction, I think, from the shutdown in the economy, basically.

And Epstein.

Right.

Because as we know, the shutdown makes it so that we can't, the government will not release the Epstein files until the government reopens.

So,

and I did see that Ghelane had her appeal denied by the Supreme Court today.

They didn't even rule.

They were like, we are not touching this with a 10-foot pull.

Goodbye.

So,

yeah, I mean, you guys saw some of this this weekend.

What, you know,

what do you think?

I hate this country.

I mean,

it is not fucking normal for a federal judge to issue a warrant or issue a ruling from the bench at 10 o'clock Eastern on a Sunday night specifically to prevent the sitting president from circumventing the order that she had given prior to that.

That's not fucking normal.

Yeah, no, I, you know, I have been writing in

these planning scenarios for what it would be like to live under Trump.

And one of the biggest things was Republican states sending their guard to blue states, where there's a lot of blurriness in the law.

And that is what they tried to make happen this weekend.

Abbott, like gleefully was trying to send the Texas National Guard up to Washington state.

And the only reason to do that is in hope of of Texas National Guard being less disciplined than the people who are there,

you know, than the people who live in Oregon, who are members of National Guard and therefore protect, you know, their reason for signing up is to protect their neighbors in time of need.

They're doing the equivalent of what Kyle Rittenhouse did.

Like

on a National Guard scale.

Yep.

Yeah.

You know, and that's, that reminds me of like the damage that Charlie Kirk did to our country.

You know, Charlie Kirk, he made kyle rittenhouse a featured speaker at turning point usa events so there's a generation of young men who grew up idolizing

vigilante shooters people who don't have the the self-discipline to keep themselves or anyone else safe but still go out with a firearm end up shooting people in state lines

Yeah, across state lines, and then they become a hero.

Like, that is who

Abbott and Trump want to be on the streets with, you know, M4s pointed at civilians.

I think what's wild is just imagine

like

thinking that Kyle Rittenhouse is a hero, right?

If you think of him.

If you can easily tell anybody who thinks he's a hero to get fucked.

There you go.

There you go.

We hit our, we, we have kind of forgot the last few weeks, but we got it here.

Um,

the most,

you know, the

most like positive for him story here is that he had guys running around him and he shot and killed them and saved himself.

So he's a hero.

Or is it a bunch of people were protesting the fact that this

black man was brutally assaulted by the police department and it was caught on camera.

And then people, you know, were protesting.

And then you shot those people who thought that was bad.

That's, that's, That's your hero.

I mean, that's them, right?

That's that's the right.

This is the same thing.

Well, don't forget that Abbott pardoned someone who drove into a Black Lives Matter protest,

shot and killed an Air Force veteran.

This

person was, I believe, currently serving at the time, a staff sergeant.

He was convicted by a jury of his peers.

Abbott pardoned him after it became known that he was also trying to solicit minors.

So Abbott

like went out of his way to protect a pedophile who sought out someone to murder them, did that.

And like that guy's a hero for Abbott.

So Abbott is hoping that his Texas National Guard is exactly like that dude.

Speaking of soliciting minors, can you imagine?

if Joe Biden's former faith advisor was pled guilty to that, can you imagine the mess that would have come out of that?

They would have used Fox News, would have run their servers into the fucking ground portraying that everywhere.

But Donald Trump's faith advisor gets to go away with it.

As you have pointed out in the past, it's always the ones that we most suspect.

It's always the ones you most suspect.

And

you know who it never is?

A drag queen.

It's never a drag queen.

Or a trans person.

It's just not.

And, you know, a lot of creepy old white dudes.

dudes.

Yeah.

Mostly.

Sometimes not even old.

Sometimes like 40.

Matt Gates.

RJ May.

30s.

Who was the other one?

RJ May, that South Carolina representative.

Oh, yeah.

He was a Moms for Liberty favorite representative.

Was bred in child pornography under the screen name Joe Biden69.

Oh,

you can't make it.

Boys shit.

You can't make it.

Really covered his tracks.

Yeah, I mean, it's always projection with these people, and it's just ridiculous.

But yeah, you should really learn a different defense mechanism because this one's getting old.

I do think people are getting tired of it.

I mean, it is kind of obvious at this point, but you know, we shall see.

Well, guys, we've lost two of our one of our hosts didn't show up today because he had a

previous engagement.

Another one just like ditched on out of thin air.

But there there is something really, really important that we should talk about.

And that is how much awesome merch we have in our store.

And how awesome the people are who have been buying it.

Fucking crazy.

So

our Texas Beard guy, sorry, it's a low logo.

Texas Beard Company sent us a bunch of shirts.

Now, I have not tried their gear.

This is not an endorsement, but this is a thank you.

I love the shirt.

Texas beard coat using a beard as a word.

Brilliant.

And it looks like my beard.

So strongly endorse.

Strongly endorsement.

Texas beard company.

Yeah,

it looks like what Luke's beard could look like.

Yep.

Give me 20 in the future.

And give him a little time.

But while the Texas beer company stuff is great, so is ours.

And I'm actually wearing, I think this is the least popular of the shirts.

This is the Newton shirt.

Is this right?

That's the least popular?

It's still not popular.

I don't understand it.

Why don't people like Newton?

I'm personally hurt because it's my favorite shirt.

But I tell you what, like after we told everybody about the sweatshirts last week, so many of you bought them.

We just want to thank you and let everybody know there are still plenty in the store to purchase.

And it's going to get chilly.

I know it's 78 degrees.

It's cold here now.

78 degrees in New York today.

But so I'm waiting until I can wear mine because it's too warm.

But they're all made in America.

They're all union made.
