We have a lot jam-packed in today's program. Hillary Clinton came out.
She said something, she expects something to happen in October with the campaign.
Speaker 3 And
Speaker 3
we tell you what we might expect to happen here in the next 12 to 16 weeks as well. Prepare.
Also, are there still Americans who don't see everything the Democrats are doing to destroy this country?
Speaker 3 I don't know how, but yes. And Amy Swearer joins the program to talk about the Harris Walls plan to continue their attack on your Second Amendment rights.
Speaker 3 Plus, on the full show podcast, you'll hear how you can support those affected by flooding and landslides in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
Speaker 3
This is the best of the Glenn Beck program, and it begins in a minute. We could wake up tomorrow, and the bottom could completely fall out from underneath the U.S.
dollar.
Speaker 3 Guarantee, tomorrow it could happen.
Speaker 3
That used to be crazy talk. Everybody used to say that'll never happen.
But
Speaker 3 do you really think that's not possible? We wake up and there's a war? You don't think bricks could take our dollar and just flush it down? And then what's your dollar worth? Nothing.
Speaker 3 How do you buy food?
Speaker 3 It is so important that you and your family make all the preparations you can so when the dam bursts you're protected. You need to protect yourself and your family from the difficult spots ahead.
Speaker 3 $3 billion in trusted transactions, thousands of five-star reviews, 24-hour risk-free purchase purchase guarantee makes Lear Capital a leader that you can trust in precious metals.

Speaker 3 It is going to go through the roof as your dollar falls through the floor. Gold or silver, 800-957, gold, 800-957, gold.
Speaker 3 You're listening to the best of the Benbec program. So, how you doing, Stu?
Speaker 4 I can't even wait for today's show.
Speaker 3 What now? What does that mean?
Speaker 3 What does that mean?
Speaker 4 I was watching the news over the weekend,
Speaker 4 seeing the state of the world.
Speaker 3 Uh-huh.
Speaker 4 You know, it seemed like massive wars are breaking out
Speaker 3 in important regions.
Speaker 4 Sure, sure.
Speaker 4 Catastrophic flooding,
Speaker 4 destruction, devastation.
Speaker 3 Do you think I'm going to concentrate on that?
Speaker 4 And then the way you framed it in the open, which seemed like you were reading it directly out of the Bible. Yes, I am a little concerned about where today's show is going to go.
Speaker 3 Well, let me just say this.
Speaker 3 You're right. You're right.
Speaker 3 So, you know, I don't know. You know, I was working on this
Speaker 3 for the last couple of hours here and
Speaker 3 just feel like
Speaker 3
I, you know, I think I know exactly how this is going to unfold. I think I can tell you what's coming.
I don't know if anybody wants that, quite honestly,
Speaker 3 but
Speaker 3
I don't know. We could do that.
We do that if you'd like.
Speaker 3 Well,
Speaker 4 I think it's on the mind of people.
Speaker 4
I think it is important enough to go to. I just hope that we survive it.
And I don't even mean the world. I just mean your monologue.
Speaker 3 No, we'll be fine. Look, everything, I'm actually,
Speaker 3 I'm at peace with everything because I know there is a God. I know all of this stuff does not surprise him.
Speaker 3 I know this stuff was foretold. I happen to be one who believes that Jesus is coming.
Speaker 3 You know, just a lot of signs. Hey, did you hear that story that we're going to have two moons
Speaker 3 soon?
Speaker 3
I did. Yeah.
Yeah. I did hear that weird sign of the heaven.
Anyway,
Speaker 3 let me just go over some things.
Speaker 3 First of all,
Speaker 3 let's start with Friday. There was a story that came out Friday that nobody in the mainstream media was talking about.
Speaker 3 That we have now,
Speaker 3 according to our own government, released 420,000 criminal illegal immigrants into the U.S. Okay?
Speaker 3 Criminals, almost half a million have come in.
Speaker 3 Convicted criminals that we know of,
Speaker 3 13,000 murderers. 13,000 people that were
Speaker 3
held in a prison for murdering people in their own home country. Released from prison.
Gee, who said that? Released from prison. And now on our streets, 13,000 murderers.
Speaker 3 Okay.
Speaker 3 In the ICE report also they said um
Speaker 3 62 000 individuals that were convicted of assault
Speaker 3 and 15,000 convicted of rape
Speaker 3 we just dumped them onto our streets
Speaker 3 now
Speaker 3 what do you think that's going to do
Speaker 3 do you remember what uh do you remember what Saddam Hussein did right before
Speaker 3 we went in for war?
Speaker 3 He emptied the prisons.
Speaker 3 He emptied the prisons. Why?
Speaker 3 Chaos on the streets.
Speaker 3 Okay.
Speaker 3 420,000 criminals have been led in to our country by this administration. Do not
Speaker 3 do not accept the lies from Kamala Harris and her ilk
Speaker 3 that they care.
Speaker 3 They were responsible for this.
Speaker 3 Okay.
Speaker 3 This weekend, we have Donald Trump going back to Butler, Pennsylvania.
Speaker 3 The
Speaker 3 Secret Service has said, please don't do that. And he's promised since the day he left there, he was going to go back.
Speaker 3 But we also have the former rival of
Speaker 3 a congressional candidate making threats and arrested.
Speaker 3 On Friday, the DOJ unsealed the indictment against 41-year-old Robert Braddock III, alleging he had made threats to a victim running as a candidate in the 13th congressional district of Florida's primary election and a second victim who is a private citizen and acquaintance.
Speaker 3 This is
Speaker 3 we we we happen to
Speaker 3 we happen to know this congresswoman, Anna Paulina Luna.
Speaker 3 He threatened her life and wow, they actually
Speaker 3 picked this guy up and charged him.
Speaker 3 So we have again another lefty threatening to kill someone on the right.
Speaker 3 Chaos on the streets.
Speaker 3 We have Clinton saying this. I think it's cut one.
Speaker 5 And I anticipate that, you know, something will happen in October, as it always does.
Speaker 5 You know, the Russians,
Speaker 5 as I said earlier, are very active in this election.
Speaker 5 We know the Iranians are active as well. There will be concerted efforts to distort and pervert Kamala Harris, who she is, what she stands for, what she's done.
Speaker 5 I mean, look, I mean, the crazy story about me running a child trafficking operation out of a basement, a pizzeria,
Speaker 5
don't laugh. Don't laugh.
It was a huge story.
Speaker 5 And it got one. young man in North Carolina to get in his car with his assault rifle and drive up to liberate these non-existent children and shoot up a pizzeria in Washington, D.C.
Speaker 5 He didn't shoot it up. This is dangerous stuff.
Speaker 5 It starts online, often on the dark web, it migrates, it's picked up by the pro-Trump media, it's then reported on by everybody else, which makes sure it has about 100 percent coverage, and people believe it.
Speaker 5 So I don't know what it's going to be, but it will be something, and we'll have to work very, very hard to make sure that it is exposed as the lie that it is.
Speaker 3
Now it's interesting that she's bringing up the Russian interference again. She doesn't have any credibility on that.
And then she goes right to the Iranian. And the Iranian
Speaker 3 is interesting because what did we find out from our government? Another story the mainstream media refuses to talk about.
Speaker 3 We found out that our own government
Speaker 3 the Harris administration actually has come out and said, yes, we arrested these,
Speaker 3 I think it's three or four Iranians
Speaker 3 for going in and trying to smear Donald Trump and hacking in. And it's a large
Speaker 3 operation where they're hacking into political people's
Speaker 3 confidential information and they did it to Donald Trump. Now,
Speaker 3 why would Iran want to go after Kamala Harris, who have they've given them lots of money, lots of money?
Speaker 3 All right, so that's Hillary Clinton at the Global Clinton Initiative.
Speaker 3
Now we have John Kerry. John Kerry said much of the same thing.
Now, he has been saying this over and over again. Do we have the clip of John Kerry? Listen.
Speaker 6 And I think the dislike of and anguish over social media is just growing and growing and growing.
Speaker 6 And it's part of our problem, particularly in democracies, in terms of building consensus around any issue. It's really hard to govern today.
Speaker 6 You can't, you know, there's no, the referees we used to have to determine what's a fact and what isn't a fact have kind of
Speaker 6 been eviscerated to a certain degree. And people go and people self-select where they go for their news or for their information.
Speaker 6 And then you just get into a vicious cycle. So it's really, really hard, much harder to build consensus today than at any time.
Speaker 3 Stop. What is he saying? Because he goes on to talk about that the First Amendment is a block
Speaker 3 to getting things done.
Speaker 3 Okay, so basically he's saying the same thing that Hillary Clinton drew her conclusion to. What she was saying there was, you watch, something's going to happen.
Speaker 3 It's going to happen online, and it will be a lie, and it will be from a foreign government, but it'll spread through right-wing media.
Speaker 3 What is he saying? Who do you think he wants to block? Do you think he wants to block the New York Times?
Speaker 3 Do you think he wants to block anyone that will play ball with the administration and tell you that the COVID vaccine is fantastic? You know,
Speaker 3 I watched television yesterday, and I was watching the ball game, and every time that they did some sort of a medical, you know, some drug, some pharmaceutical commercial,
Speaker 3 most of it was all about the side effects.
Speaker 3 Why didn't we get any of that? Why didn't we get any of that? Why couldn't we even ask about that when our own government regulates these companies to tell us those things?
Speaker 3 And if you spoke out against it, you were shunned or shut up.
Speaker 3 So now we have another. We have Nesrallah
Speaker 3 getting killed by
Speaker 3 Israel.
Speaker 3 What did that happen? Friday, I think.
Speaker 3 Israel went after the leader and the founder of Hezbollah, took him out, a very dangerous guy. This has kind of made, I don't know, the Iranians a little angry.
Speaker 3 And so the Iranian-backed terrorists now have fired dozens of missiles and drones at our Navy.
Speaker 3 And we have said it's an act of war.
Speaker 3 Now, I'm sure we don't mean that, mean that.
Speaker 3 They're saying that what Israel did also is an act of war.
Speaker 3 We're not ready for war with Iran yet, but it's coming.
Speaker 3
And the war with Russia is also coming. Don't know if you saw this story.
This was from Reuters
Speaker 3 over the weekend.
Speaker 3 Berlin.
Speaker 3 NATO plans to coordinate the transport of a large number of wounded troops away from the front lines in case of a war with Russia, potentially via hospital trains, as air evacuations may not be feasible.
Speaker 3 The future scenario for medical evacuations will differ from Allies' experience in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Speaker 3 In the conflict with Russia, Western militaries would likely be faced with a much larger war zone, higher number of injured troops, and at least temporary lack of air superiority close to the front lines.
Speaker 3 The challenges will be to swiftly ensure high quality care for, in the worst case, a great number of the wounded.
Speaker 3 Why are they planning for this? I mean, I'm glad they are planning for this, but why are they planning for this? And at the same time, this weekend, Russia formalized their plans for war.
Speaker 3 So what does all of this mean?
Speaker 3 Let me take you through what I think is coming
Speaker 3 in the next 12 to 16 weeks.
Speaker 3 Weeks.
Speaker 3 I'm always wrong on timing.
Speaker 3 I'd be surprised if I am this time, but I may be.
Speaker 3 So here is what is probable
Speaker 3
coming our way. Absolutely possible, but I think anything is possible at this point.
But this is what you should be mentally prepared for,
Speaker 3 just in case.
Speaker 3 You will not be freaked out and you will not be panicked if
Speaker 3 you are...
Speaker 3 you've at least entertained some of these scenarios. Okay?
Speaker 3 So I think we are going to
Speaker 3 see a war with Russia, and it's probably going to be NATO against Russia. That would include us.
Speaker 3 And it's going to be unlike the wars that we have fought in the past because China will join Russia.
Speaker 3 And when this, when we're distracted on that war front,
Speaker 3 uh most likely the middle east will gather together because russia is also helping iran and there will be attack on Israel and on us. We already are moving
Speaker 3
troops into the area. We have, I think, three carrier groups in the area.
So that is that's coming most likely. I don't know when.
I don't know what the trigger would be.
Speaker 3 But that's
Speaker 3 what you have to understand is
Speaker 3 We are not facing a crisis. It is imperative if you want to change the world, if you want to redesign the entire world and rebalance it, which is the goal of the elites,
Speaker 3 you have to have more than one stressor.
Speaker 3 So you will have war,
Speaker 3 and war
Speaker 3 will destabilize us financially. But war happening right around the election or right after the election, before January 20th.
Speaker 3 If Donald Trump wins,
Speaker 3
they are going to do everything they can. They've already said this.
This is their own words. They will put him in jail
Speaker 3 or they will pull out an old law that
Speaker 3 will try to make him into an insurrectionist and they will try to
Speaker 3 reseat delegates, do everything that they claim Donald Trump was going to do.
Speaker 3 If he loses,
Speaker 3
I don't know what our side will do, but I know we will be antagonized and antagonized. And if we don't keep our cool, it will be war.
And I think they want civil war. We must pray for peace and
Speaker 3
that we all just do the right thing. We just do the right thing.
No one wins in a civil war because what will happen is if we go unstable, not even civil war, but if we go in unstable
Speaker 3 and there is an unstable election that we don't know who is going to be president of the United States or God forbid there's an assassination or anything like that,
Speaker 3 the world will make its move against us.
Speaker 3 And because we're unstable,
Speaker 3 our dollar will collapse because we no longer are stable, and that's why people look to our dollar.
Speaker 3 When that happens, and we have
Speaker 3 chaos in our streets,
Speaker 3 we have hordes of people just
Speaker 3 being violent, we have at least a cold civil war, I mean very cold civil war, that is arguing about the election, and we don't know who the president is going to be after the vote has been done.
Speaker 3 That's when you start to feel
Speaker 3
the ramifications. Stock market crash would wipe an awful lot of people out.
Of course, the government will take care of the big guys,
Speaker 3 but they will usher in a digital currency. And do we know who the president is yet?
Speaker 3 Those are
Speaker 3 things that you should be mentally prepared for and pray that they never happen.
Speaker 3 First, let me tell you about Good Ranchers. Good Ranchers is running a presidential promo for a limited time.

Speaker 3 interstate was closed yesterday outside of Atlanta
Speaker 3 People were told shelter in place to avoid the contaminants from a chemical plant fire.
Speaker 3 The highway was shut down both directions. Did you see this thing?
Speaker 3 Incredible. Fire ignited when a sprinkler had malfunctioned around 5 a.m.
Speaker 3 And
Speaker 3 I don't know how this happens. The malfunction caused water
Speaker 3
to mix with water-reactive chemicals. producing a plume of chemicals.
So cloud of smoke was visible Sunday afternoon as far as 30 miles.
Speaker 3 Once they get that chemical out of the building and allow it to burn off, the the plant said they'd be in much better shape. They apparently make swimming pool and spa water care.
Speaker 3 And I'm trying to think what then what chemicals can't mix with water. I mean
Speaker 3 it seemingly kind of your business, but you know, what do I know?
Speaker 3 By the way,
Speaker 3 NPR, they care about you.
Speaker 3 Forget about the war that is coming.
Speaker 3 Forget about the lies that America is now being asked to swallow.
Speaker 3 They have an existential threat to America.
Speaker 3 Men.
Speaker 3 Men specifically that eat meat.
Speaker 3 They say the origins of this meat crisis has its origins in an ad for Burger King that heralded the fast food chain and its appetite-satisfying whopper
Speaker 3 as the source for masculine culinary delight.
Speaker 3 Now,
Speaker 3
I don't even know what Burger King ad they were, but I've liked meat my whole life. I didn't need a commercial to tell me to eat meat.
And they say, you know,
Speaker 3 Burger King is the one that told men eat meat and eat a lot of food in comparison to small portions of vegetarian food
Speaker 3 that are the places where women like to go.
Speaker 3 I like this.
Speaker 3 One of the
Speaker 3 media people that are studying this for NPR, it's thought that animal products yield a certain sense of strength.
Speaker 3 Well,
Speaker 3 yes,
Speaker 3 they do.
Speaker 3 Ask the Olympic athletes in Paris. They weren't sending out for meat, you meathead.
Speaker 3 They weren't sending out for meat because they missed meat.
Speaker 3 They felt they needed it for their physical endurance. Oh, these people.
Speaker 3 Scientists say beef is worse than any other food when it comes to global warming. Shut up.
Speaker 3 Speaking of global warming, how about this?
Speaker 3 Grid operators are intervening in a case asking the Supreme Court to remand the regulations back to the agency.
Speaker 3
And this is unprecedented. Never happened before.
People said it could be done. They said it never happened here.
Speaker 3 The operator's main argument is about the impact of the EPA rules on our grid.
Speaker 3 Organizations that manage, coordinate, and monitor electricity service for 156 million Americans across 30 states are warning that the Biden-Harris administration power plant rule will be catastrophic for the nation's power grid.
Speaker 3 Four regional trade organizations, as they're called, recently
Speaker 3 filed an amicus brief, also known as a Friend of the Court brief, in support of a multi-state lawsuit against the EPA over the rule. The EPA released its rules in April.
Speaker 3 They require coal-fired power plants that will be operating past 2039 to begin implementing carbon capture technologies in just eight years.
Speaker 3 New gas-fired power plants will also need to add the technologies
Speaker 3 who's operating 40% of their annual capacity or more to add carbon capture in 2032. The problem is
Speaker 3 that hasn't been tested at this scale. It doesn't exactly exist yet.
Speaker 3 They also said that the EPA grossly overestimated the ability of intermittent wind and solar to deliver reliable electricity during peak demand periods.
Speaker 3 According to the analysis, it also found the agency didn't perform any reliability analysis on the rules.
Speaker 3
The result would be blackouts lasting days in some cases, according to those who operate the power grid. Now, let me ask you, can I ask you a question? Let me just ask you.
It's a simple question.
Speaker 3 I've lived in America, well, my whole life.
Speaker 3 I don't remember in
Speaker 3 any time other than earthquakes,
Speaker 3 fires,
Speaker 3 storms, being out of electricity for days and weeks,
Speaker 3
let alone having rolling blackouts. Have you ever lived in...
I mean, you've lived in America. I've seen that in third world countries.
We've never had that problem.
Speaker 4 I've never lived in California.
Speaker 3 So, no,
Speaker 3 I've never had that problem.
Speaker 4 We did have a power outage here famously a few years ago during one winter
Speaker 3
storm. I'm talking about over and over and over and over and over and over again.
No. No.
It's not supposed to happen. No, it's not supposed to.
You cannot run a country that way.
Speaker 3 When you can't... Oh, God, people are so stupid.
Speaker 3 What made America a superpower? We had a diversity.
Speaker 4 It's our strength, Glenn. Diversity is our strength.
Speaker 4 That's what did it. It was all about making sure we had, we were not a strong nation until we fully accepted LGBTQQIA2 plus Americans.
Speaker 3
Fully. There are 13,000 people in our country right now that were arrested and convicted of murder that our government, we found out Friday, released into our population.
Diversity.
Speaker 3 And I'm thinking, and I'm thinking about hiring one of them to stab you to death.
Speaker 3 Well, Glenn, you have to remember, so many Americans are not murderers and rapists.
Speaker 4 We need to diversify and get some new murderers and rapists in.
Speaker 3
Right. Okay, good.
So, what made America America? We had a well-educated workforce.
Speaker 3 Don't have that anymore.
Speaker 3 We had
Speaker 3 plenty cheap energy.
Speaker 3 Well, when you put those two things together, oh, I'm sorry. And a stable
Speaker 3 country, a stable government.
Speaker 3 Three strikes, gang. What do you think they're trying to do to us?
Speaker 3 What is wrong with you? America, I'm asking you a question and I demand an answer. What the hell is wrong with you?
Speaker 3 How do you not see
Speaker 3 that
Speaker 3 everything they're doing will destroy us?
Speaker 3 Elon Musk came out this weekend and
Speaker 3 I don't know.
Speaker 3
I don't know. I mean it was interesting.
He claimed the Democratic Party would naturalize enough non-citizens as voters during a Kamala Harris presidency to turn the U.S. into a one-party state.
Speaker 3
He said, very few Americans realize that if Trump is not elected, this will be the last election. Far from being a threat to democracy, Donald Trump is the only way to save it.
Let me explain.
Speaker 3
This is from Elon Musk. And don't worry.
Don't worry. Those experts in Washington are much smarter than he is.
Speaker 3 Let me explain. If even one in 20 illegals become citizens per year, something that Democrats are expediating as fast as humanly possible, by the way, we have made more new citizens.
Speaker 3 We have gotten them to the flag with their hand up faster than ever before in America. Isn't that great?
Speaker 3
So they're expediating that process. That would be about 2 million legal voters in four years.
The voting margin in swing states is often less than 20,000 votes.
Speaker 3 That means if the Democratic Party succeeds, there will be no more swing states.
Speaker 3 Hello?
Speaker 3 Hello?
Speaker 3 Meanwhile, in Springfield, you know, they say they're eating cats and dogs. No, what that is, that's a reflection of how bad things are and how freaked out the citizenry is.
Speaker 3 And I don't know if you've been paying attention, but the citizens are fed up because they're saying, we didn't ask for all of this. And now you're just, you're using our tax dollars.
Speaker 3
You're taking our schools away. You're putting people up in nice places.
We're struggling. Who do you represent?
Speaker 3 Well, don't worry.
Speaker 3
They're on top of it. The Springfield City School District now says students are not safe taking school buses to and from the campus.
Oh, okay.
Speaker 3 Okay.
Speaker 3 All right.
Speaker 3 I wonder,
Speaker 3 huh?
Speaker 3 I wonder if you're safe at all. I mean, if, what are the police doing? Well, Well, the city says our law enforcement, our fire department,
Speaker 3 everywhere has exhausted its resources because of the influx.
Speaker 3 Okay, good, good, that's good.
Speaker 3 That's coming to your town.
Speaker 3 And
Speaker 3 who is it that's going to save you?
Speaker 3 Well, let me tell you, here's on Friday, Kamala out at the border. Listen.
Speaker 7 Madam Vice Vice President, can you share what the agents at the last stop talked about?
Speaker 8 They do have a tough job, and
Speaker 8 they need
Speaker 8 rightly support to do their job.
Speaker 8 And they work long hours, they're very dedicated, and so I'm here to talk with them about what we can continue to do to support them and to also thank them for the hard work they do.
Speaker 3 Thank you.
Speaker 3
She seemed sincere, didn't she? So the agents are doing a tough job, and they need need more support. And she's there to thank them for the hard work they do.
That's nice. Well, that's really great.
Speaker 3 That's really great.
Speaker 3 Where were you, you know, in the last four years?
Speaker 3 Well, I'll tell you.
Speaker 3 Let's play the next cut. Here she is in 2022.
Speaker 9 First of all, I've been very clear about the images that you and I both saw of those law enforcement officials on horses.
Speaker 9 I was outraged by it.
Speaker 9 It was horrible and
Speaker 9 deeply troubling. There's been now an investigation that is being conducted,
Speaker 3 which I know.
Speaker 9 I fully support, and there needs to be consequence and accountability.
Speaker 9 Human beings should not be treated that way. And as we all know, it also evoked images of some of the worst moments of our history.
Speaker 10 Okay.
Speaker 3 Let's go to 2019. Where was she in 2019?
Speaker 10 His quest to build a vanity project called the Wall.
Speaker 10 This is irresponsible.
Speaker 10 It's the height of irresponsibility for the commander-in-chief to suggest that we have to build a wall across our southern border because there are terrorists who are trying to invade the country.
Speaker 10 It couldn't be farther from the truth. It's crazy.
Speaker 3 Really? It is so nuts. It is so nuts.
Speaker 3 Why are you down at the border now?
Speaker 3 You're down at the border because terrorists
Speaker 3 known to you
Speaker 3 and released from your administration have come across the border. We found out 420,000 criminals that you,
Speaker 3 you,
Speaker 3 knew who they were and then released them. 420,000 criminals,
Speaker 3 15,000 rapists,
Speaker 3 and 13,000 who are convicted of homicide. So let's just say, what,
Speaker 3 10,000 murderers just let in.
Speaker 3 But it couldn't be further from the truth. It just couldn't be.
Speaker 4 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program.
Speaker 3 By the way, we just want you to know
Speaker 3 that
Speaker 3
100,000 residents may be without access to water for weeks in Asheville, North Carolina. Mercury One has helicopters landing there.
There's no way in and no way out.
Speaker 3 So we've got helicopters that are coming and going to be landing in Asheville this afternoon.
Speaker 3 I hope, you know, FEMA shows up at some point, but we're there.
Speaker 3 We also
Speaker 3 were helping with the communications in Georgia and Tennessee and North Carolina, all those Starlink
Speaker 3
satellites that were put in those areas. Mercury One is also assisting them.
If you want to make sure that your money goes to help people, by the way, Red Cross is not there.
Speaker 3 Mercury One is, but Red Cross isn't there.
Speaker 3
You can go to mercury1.org. Mercury1.org.
100% of everything raised for this will go directly to the mission to feed and clothe and house and provide whatever is needed in the area. MercuryOne.org.
Speaker 3 Please give today.
Speaker 3 We want to bring on Amy Swearer. She is a Heritage Foundation Senior Legal Fellow.
Speaker 3 Amy, I was...
Speaker 3 really concerned this weekend.
Speaker 3 Hillary Clinton made a pretty wicked statement. Can we play that statement from Hillary Clinton this weekend?
Speaker 5 And I anticipate that something will happen in October, as it always does.
Speaker 5 And it got one young man in North Carolina to get in his car with his, you know, assault rifle and drive up to liberate these non-existent children and shoot up a pizzeria in Washington, D.C.
Speaker 5 This is dangerous stuff.
Speaker 5 It starts online, often on the dark web, it migrates, it's picked up by the pro-Trump media, it's then reported on by everybody else, which makes sure it has about 100% coverage,
Speaker 5 and people believe it.
Speaker 3 Okay, she goes on to talk about, you know, the First Amendment and
Speaker 3
how we, you know, it's just too broad. John Kerry did the same thing this weekend.
This is a theme with these guys. Amy, you've been studying the Harris Waltz administration.
Speaker 3 How confident are you that that is a strategy that they will employ and silence voices?
Speaker 11 Well, I think that the bigger question, Glenn, is, you know, you hear Hillary, for example, talking about, oh, well, you know, this is all a smear campaign, right?
Speaker 11 Any sort of pushback or, you know, counter to anything that... that Kamala and Tim Waltz say, right, well, this is Russian disinformation.
Speaker 11 But at the same time, I'm I'm not sure how it's Russian disinformation to, for example, point out that
Speaker 11 just because Harris and Waltz are gun owners themselves doesn't mean that they don't have 20 years of
Speaker 11 actions to undermine the second election.
Speaker 11 You're putting this to themselves.
Speaker 3 Hold it just a second.
Speaker 3 Do you actually believe Kamala is a gun owner?
Speaker 11 So here's the thing. I wouldn't doubt it, but
Speaker 11 it's because that cognitive dissonance exists for her, right?
Speaker 11 She can, on the one hand, go back to 2008 and join in a MICUS brief, not only defending the District of Columbia's complete ban on the possession of handguns for everybody else, right, and advocating for this revisionist view of the Second Amendment that says, you know, you don't have a right to keep in bear arms at all.
Speaker 11 It's all about state National Guard units, as though the National Guard units are the people.
Speaker 11 She can, I have no doubt, Glenn, that she can hold that in her brain on one hand and then on the other hand, say, well, but I have a right to a handgun and I'll shoot an intruder who comes into my home well maybe apparently that was a joke once that didn't go off well with you know the the progressive left
Speaker 11 but she has no problem saying that on the one hand for the rest of us we don't have this right and on the other hand saying yeah no I have a gun and it's the same thing with quote-unquote assault weapons right
Speaker 11 you know her and Tim Waltz will say these are weapons of war they have no place on the streets but at the same time
Speaker 11 who exactly is protecting them? Well, taxpayer-funded security units who use these same weapons precisely because they're good for those threats. So I think that cognitive dissonance is very real.
Speaker 11 So I wouldn't be shocked if she is actually a gun owner who also, it turns out, has spent 20-plus years undermining our rights to keep and bear arms.
Speaker 4 Amy, can we talk a little bit about Tim Walls and his record on the Second Amendment? Because he's being portrayed basically only as a football coach and a guy who goes hunting.
Speaker 4 And you'd think a person like that's going to be really good on the Second Amendment. And for a while, it seemed like he had good ratings a long time ago, but that really has changed, hasn't it?
Speaker 11
Oh, it has definitely changed. And you're right, he just like Harris, I think even more so than Harris, has repeatedly touted his status as a gun owner.
Look at me, I'm a duck hunter.
Speaker 11 Here's me and my shotgun going duck hunting.
Speaker 11 At one point, I think he said, oh, I was one of the best shots in Congress, which, side note, is hilarious because he literally was serving in Congress with a former Navy SEAL sniper and his career as a merchant ship instructor.
Speaker 11 So, okay, okay, fair enough.
Speaker 11 But what he really has, especially in recent years and as governor in his actual public policy, is a record of misrepresenting reality to garner support for these very controversial gun control laws.
Speaker 11 And you see things like this in recent statements where he said, well, you know,
Speaker 11 these quote-unquote assault weapons, these semi-automatic rifles, well, these are weapons of war and I know this because I carried them into combat.
Speaker 11 Well, him going or not going into combat aside, right?
Speaker 11 It's precisely what is so concerning is that it's precisely because he has served in the military and he absolutely knows that this is not, functionally speaking, the same type of firearm that he's trying to ban.
Speaker 11 That's what's concerning to me is he actually does know better, or at least should know better.
Speaker 11 But what you see is him having no problem misrepresenting that reality
Speaker 11 to garner support.
Speaker 3 It really,
Speaker 3 you know, when
Speaker 3 they are trying to defund the police, they're importing,
Speaker 3 we found out this weekend, what was it, 420,000 criminals,
Speaker 3 15,000 rapists, 13,000 charged with homicide and served for homicide. And they're just letting them into the country.
Speaker 3 You have Texas taking the Venezuelan gang this weekend and saying they are a terrorist organization. We have terrorists now that have come across our border that we know of,
Speaker 3 and you've got all of this stuff happening on the streets, and for them to take away your guns now,
Speaker 3 how many people use it for self-defense? How many people rightly use their gun for self-defense? Do you know?
Speaker 11 This is actually a number that is going to shock a lot of people.
Speaker 11 And I want to preface this by saying this is not a number that comes from the NRA or from the Heritage Foundation or from some other gun control group who's just pulling it out of a hat somewhere.
Speaker 11 According to a 2013 survey by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under the Obama administration, they look at all of the surveys of defensive gun use, and they said, with one or two limited exceptions,
Speaker 11 the number routinely comes out to 500,000 to several million times a year that Americans are using their firearms to defend themselves, their property, their loved ones, strangers on the street.
Speaker 11 And for the record, those two, quote, outliers still are finding tens of thousands of times. I think the war waste is something like 60,000 times a year.
Speaker 11 So we're looking at an insane number of times every year that building owners are utilizing their right to keep and bear arms, which is why I think it's actually unfortunate that Kamala Harris goes on Oprah and says, yeah, I'd shoot an intruder who comes into my home, and then feels the need to walk it back.
Speaker 11 That was, frankly, one of the most likable and human things she said. It's right on par with what so many Americans actually would do.
Speaker 11 And that, I think, is unfortunate that she felt the need to walk that back. That's the point of the Second Amendment, Glenn.
Speaker 11
We own guns for self-defense, whether it's against criminals, whether it's against tyranny, whether it's against invading forces. It's not for duck hunting.
It's not for sports hunting.
Speaker 3 Thank you.
Speaker 11 It is for self-defense.
Speaker 3 I have to tell you, it drives me nuts when I hear these guys, you know, they get on and, you know, like Waltz. I'm a duck hunter, so I am, of course.
Speaker 3 That That means you hunt ducks.
Speaker 3 What does that have to do with the Second Amendment? It has absolutely... If the Second Amendment was about sporting, then maybe bowling should be an amendment as well.
Speaker 3
I mean, it wasn't about sporting. It wasn't even just about food.
It was about tyranny from the king and a government that was out of control. That's what that's always been for.
Speaker 3
We've just never had to use it. We've just never had to really use it.
But that doesn't mean you diminish it in any way. And we do use it for our own self-defense from bad people.
I just
Speaker 3 can't. I mean, you cannot be anti-cop,
Speaker 3 pro,
Speaker 3 not that they would ever say they are, but... but bringing criminals in, releasing criminals, having open borders, and then telling the American people, oh, and by the way, you can't defend yourself.
Speaker 11 No, absolutely not. And I think that's the unfortunate thing is even when they are anti-police, they're, of course, not anti-police for themselves, right?
Speaker 11 They will always have those security, or those taxpayer-funded security details with those same, quote, weapons of war that, you know, I didn't realize Georgetown in D.C.
Speaker 11 was a war zone or an area, you know, a combat place.
Speaker 11 But I think at the end of the day, it goes back to what we were talking about earlier, that cognitive dissonance.
Speaker 11 They have no problem, no problem holding both of those in their mind to say, well, we're going to have X, Y, and Z policy that makes it more dangerous and less safe for the rest of us to live here.
Speaker 11 But at the same time, we're going to undermine that Second Amendment right that is premised so deeply on self-defense and giving you the means by which to actually defend yourself, whether it's against the government or whether it is when the government simply cannot or will not be there to protect you in the way that you need in that moment.
Speaker 4 Amy, I know you mentioned the study that mentioned hundreds of thousands of defensive gun uses
Speaker 3 a year.
Speaker 4 And I think like people will see a number like that and think, well, you know, it's just a study. Like, how do you even know?
Speaker 3 What are the real examples?
Speaker 4 You've put together a whole gigantic list of these examples. These are real world examples.
Speaker 11 Absolutely.
Speaker 11 So this is our, the Heritage Foundation has, we call it our defensive gun use database, where the goal of this was, just like you said to share these specific stories granted we know that we are just getting the tip of the iceberg because these are the stories that
Speaker 11 basically are are
Speaker 11 so big that the media couldn't ignore it right they they are sort of the the
Speaker 11 the height of these examples because a lot of times we know that the gun doesn't even need to be fired when you when you look deeply into to so many of these when you get these numbers but for the ones that are out there a
Speaker 11 these we'll call them media verified stories. I think they are a great example for people to look at and to understand.
Speaker 11 Because I think there are so often people think, oh, you know, maybe this was a vigilante, right? Or this was, you know, it was just a gang banger, right? That this wasn't.
Speaker 11 No, you read these stories and you see that these are real people who are just living their lives, doing their own thing, and just happened to be put in a situation where they needed to defend themselves or others.
Speaker 11 And they do it successfully.
Speaker 11 I'll give you one example.
Speaker 3 When I first started the Blaze, it was my policy to put a good guy on the front page every day
Speaker 3
that had defended his life, his property, somebody else with a gun. We found those every single day.
Every day.
Speaker 3 And people started saying to me that didn't know that I had put that policy in, my gosh, have you seen the number of people that are protecting themselves? And I said, no, that number hasn't changed.
Speaker 3
You just don't ever read it in any other source because they don't ever report on it. But they're out there every single day.
Amy, thank you so much. I really appreciate it.
