Here’s How the Democrats Can FORCE Biden to Drop Out | 7/18/24

2h 9m
Things are not looking good for Biden's candidacy. Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) are reportedly pressuring Joe to drop out of the race. Filling in for Glenn, Pat and Stu give their thoughts on allowing Pelosi and Schumer to dictate Biden's choices. Are Biden's current dropping poll numbers due to a temporary bump caused by the assassination attempt against Trump? Pat and Stu ponder how the Democrats could force Biden to drop out of the race. Pat and Stu break down the shocking failures of the Secret Service that almost cost Trump his life. Pat and Stu take calls from listeners to get a sense of their views of Trump's near-assassination as more questions arise about the Secret Service's failures. JD Vance has officially accepted Trump's VP position, so Pat and Stu give their opinions on the critical pick. The media was quick to dig up old quotes from Vance in an attempt to disgrace him. Pat and Stu discuss one of the most shocking and overlooked parts of Biden's interview with NBC's Lester Holt.

It's a new day, a time to ride.

Welcome to the fusion

of entertainment and enlightenment.

This is the Glenn Beck program.

Sure is with Pat and Stu today for Glenn.

888-727-BECK.

People encouraging, I mean, including influential people in the Democrat Party, Nancy Pelosi, Chucky Schumer,

encouraging Joe Biden to step aside.

Now,

Stu definitely takes issue with that.

I'm fired up on this one.

And he's wearing pro Joe Biden t-shirt today.

It's

Joe Biden elderly man with a poor memory t-shirt.

Yeah.

It's maybe not as the most pro-Biden shirt, but I'm with him.

Right.

I'm with Joe.

With Joe.

Not for the general election, but I want him to stand.

Stand up.

Listen to the music, Pat.

It's telling him to stand up right now.

It is.

Don't let Nancy Pelosi push you around.

A Chuck Schumer tell you what to do.

Who are they?

You're the president of the United States.

Stand up, Joe.

Stay in the race.

That much more in one minute.

And maybe get some sleep as well before you make that speech.

You know, look, if you need some sleep, you want to do something about it, you want to maybe fix the problems that you're having.

Maybe that's been the issue with Joe this whole time.

Maybe it's just been a sleeping issue.

Well, Relief Sleep is here.

And, you know, look, it's one of those things where you can make a difference.

This is where this can really, really change what you're doing.

It's from the makers of Relief Relief Factor, and you know, we've been talking about it as Relief Factor sleep for a while, but they talk about it as

Z Factor.

It's a 100% drug-free way to help you fall asleep faster, sleep better, and stay asleep longer.

Z Factor uses a formula of four all-natural ingredients to calm your mind and relax your body so you can ease into sleep faster and sleep right through the night.

ReliefFactor.com, Factor.com, ReliefFactor.com, or call 1-800 for Relief.

It's 1-800, the number for Relief, or ReliefFactor.com for Relief Factor.

All right, so Stu, your point is stand and fight.

Yes!

It's a time

to rise.

Yes!

If I'm not mistaken.

The song

tells you what to do.

Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.

Stand.

Stand up.

Fight.

And I.

This is

a bit tongue-in-cheek because I don't want Joe Biden to be president for another second.

And I think we're in danger of nuclear catastrophe every second he is president.

But I will say this.

You're going to let freaking Nancy Pelosi come in there and tell you that's not your job anymore?

I'm not going to.

You're going to let Chuck.

Schumer come in and tell you,

the president of the United States, you are no longer going to be the nominee?

Are you going to let Pat

Adam Schiff

come in there

and tell you?

I'm not letting Adam Schiff in the building.

That's a really, that's much, that's a better judgment.

You're going to let him come in there and tell you you need to leave the White House.

You no longer get to be the nominee of the party that you won the primary for, that you stood on stage as the nominee.

14 million people for.

14 million people.

You're just going to discount their will?

You're just going to throw those people out?

What about democracy?

We are supposed to be the party of democracy.

And here we are throwing out the votes because a couple of elites want this guy out?

No.

No.

I say no.

Here's the thing.

No.

Absolutely.

You tell them no, Joe.

You know what you do?

You get up there like Leo DiCaprio and Wolf of Wall Street and you're saying, I'm not going anywhere.

There you go.

That's right.

The show goes on.

That's what you do.

But if you're Joe Biden, you say it like this.

Anyway,

I've said too much.

That's what you say.

But say it.

Say it.

Say it.

I think you should tell him, hey, Nancy,

you want out of this?

You come over here while I have COVID, and I'll tell you exactly a piece of mind, what I have right now.

You come over here.

We've got all kinds of video of him breathing in people's faces with COVID, too.

I mean,

get out of people's faces.

Stop with the thing.

Stop.

Stop trying to prove to everybody that you're

on top of things.

He's virile and

vivacious.

And

he's agile and he could go anywhere and do any event.

Who are you?

What do you need to prove?

You're the president of the United States.

You can prove it.

Yeah, you don't have to.

You've already proven.

I bring you back into the corner of Rocky III's second fight with Rocky Balboa.

Okay.

And they're in the corner, and Clubber has come out, and he's tried to just destroy Rocky.

And his corner guy says,

don't try to take him out with one punch.

You're the champ.

Use your head.

Right.

It's the same thing with Joe Biden.

He's the president of the United freaking states.

Use your head.

Use your head.

It's your job.

It's your nomination.

Just do your best.

As you said, you can look back at this even if you lose by 27 points and say,

did you do your best?

Did you do your best, Joe?

Right.

And if the answer to that is yes, you don't let Nancy.

You needn't hold your head down at all.

No.

You hold your head high.

Chin up, my friend.

Chin freaking up.

And I I will say this.

You know one thing about Nancy Pelosi?

She's older than you.

You're going to let Nancy Pelosi tell you you're too old while she's still in Congress?

Nope.

Where's that Robinette family fight?

Where is the pushback?

Joe, you've overcome so much in your life.

Every time, over and over again, they've told you you can't do it.

And what have you showed them?

It's proven them wrong every time.

It's proved them wrong every time.

Time.

I mean, you're a man with incredibly limited abilities and became president of the United States.

That's the American story right there.

His football skill.

His what?

His football skill?

My microphone's gone.

His microphone is gone.

Pelosi's doing that too.

They don't want this message out there.

They're shutting down Pat Gray

to keep you out of office.

Hello?

There you are.

That's him.

But you kept them.

Right.

Just like Pat with a microphone.

He didn't say, I'm not going to talk for the rest of the show.

I didn't.

He just kept

pushing through it.

I did.

I really did, Stu.

You did.

And look what happened.

I'm on the air.

How about that?

These are the times

when

real American heroes step up and they keep the nomination, they earned fair and square with a couple of rule changes to push everyone out of the primary.

And this is where they step up.

And you know what?

Maybe you do lose by 18, 20 points.

So what?

Did you fight for what is right, Joe?

And hopefully the answer is yes.

Whatever.

I don't care.

Whatever.

Yes.

Stay in the

race.

Absolutely.

Don't go anywhere.

You don't need to.

No.

And I really, and there's a part of me, part of this is very sarcastic.

And I do think that Joe Biden would have a much worse chance of winning than anyone, literally anyone else on the planet.

So this is why I'm going to stay in.

The polls show it right now.

Literally every candidate they're talking about outperforms him.

It's unfair to do this right now.

It is.

Pat is, but.

His opponent just took a bullet.

You can't look at polls right now.

It's unfair to look at polls right now.

This is ridiculous.

We all understand, of course, President Trump is going to get a bump in the polls after what happened this past weekend.

That's don't let Nancy and Chuck manipulate you

into dropping out of this race.

But I say there is part of me that's like, I would be,

I would literally, the first thing Nancy Pelosi sees when she walks into the door of my office is the middle finger.

That is the first thing she sees walking in.

Screw you.

You're going to come in.

I just won the primary.

You've been telling everybody I was fine for three and a half years.

Now you're going to turn on me because I'm down by three points in the national polls.

And I have one bad night.

One bad night.

One.

That's all it was.

One bad night.

It's all he's had.

He's done 22 events since.

Right.

And he's been brilliant at all of them.

Sure, he infected most of the audience with COVID.

Brilliant.

But yes.

Yes.

And everybody along the East Coast now has COVID.

But don't worry about that.

Don't worry about it.

I mean, I wouldn't you, I think I really would be that way.

I really would be.

The only person I've ever seen who's withstood this much pressure

was Rod Boglojevich.

Do you remember him?

He stayed in there to the last freaking day.

He, I'm serious.

This is true.

Legitimately had a 4% approval rating and stayed in office.

He was like, I don't care.

I'm staying right here.

And he literally came.

No, he did care.

Yeah, he did.

He didn't care.

That's the sort of

energy Joe Biden needs right now.

It's got to be difficult because they are coming at him with money.

It's his own party, really.

Own party and his own media.

The Republicans are staying out of it.

They're like on the sidelines.

It's the Democrats.

Right.

It's his own party and it's his own media.

And, like, I don't know.

If I'm president of the United States, I think I make the decision that the media and a bunch of elite politicians are not going to tell me and the American people and the Democrats who voted who's going to be this nominee.

No.

You don't have that power.

They're like, Nancy Pelosi behind the scenes supposedly has said she will do everything in her power to get him off the ticket.

Tell Nancy Pelosi everything in her power is nothing.

She has no power.

She has no power over you, Joe.

You stay if you want to stay.

She's not even speaker of the house anymore.

No.

And like Hakeem Jeffries is, we didn't even mention his name.

Nancy Pelosi has,

by the way, demeaned this black man by taking over all of his power.

He's the speaker of the house, and she's the one pulling all the strings.

Why is that?

She has not.

But I mean, it is true.

She's got no power in the situation.

The only power she has is the power in your brain that you're giving her.

She's a giant zilch in this situation.

Stopped acting like she runs the country.

She doesn't.

You do.

Joe, you do.

You can do this.

And imagine the storybook where you push through all of this resistance and you remain the nominee on the top of the ticket.

And then, you know,

history will write some stuff about what happens in the election.

Whatever.

Whatever.

Whatever.

You know what?

Don't let that bother you.

That's not the point.

No.

The point right now is to stick to your guns.

That's exactly it.

That's the point.

That's the point.

Yeah.

Stick to your guns.

It's not about what happens in November, on November 5th.

No.

It's not about that.

It's about do you have the will to see this through?

Yeah.

Are you strong enough to be our man?

Yeah.

Cheryl Crowe once said, Are you strong enough to be my man?

That is what show me.

That's what

show me.

Show me.

Show me.

You've been talking about how you are the party of democracy.

Are you the party of Nancy Pelosi making all the decisions?

No.

Are you the party of Chuck Schumer making all the decisions?

Are you the party dictators?

Adam Schiff?

Those are like

Trump dictators.

Trump dictators, right?

Anti-democracy people.

You said democracy mattered to you, Joe.

Doesn't move it.

Doesn't

what do they vote for?

Did they vote for Adam Schiff to be president of the United States?

Did they vote for Nancy Pelosi?

Did they vote for Hakeem Jeffery?

I'm sorry.

No.

No.

No.

I didn't think so.

They voted for Joe.

They voted for Joe Biden

over Marianne Williamson when they had that choice.

They chose him.

They could have chosen her.

They could have.

They could have chosen, by the way.

Dean Phillips, who ran his entire campaign saying exactly what was going to happen in advance, and they ignored him.

Right.

He gave you an option.

He said, Some people are saying Joe Biden's too old.

We love his policies.

He's been great for three and a half years, but we need to pass the torch to a new generation.

Dean Phillips was there to give you that exact message in the primary, and the people decided they wanted Joe.

And are you going to deny them?

What they asked for, Joseph?

I sure.

Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., are you going to deny them

what they voted for?

What about the winner in Guam?

What about him?

They could have made him their nominee.

They did not.

The Guam guy, whose name I can't remember, Ryan, something or other, if I remember correctly.

Maybe I don't.

But the Guam guy.

He was there.

Could have been your nominee.

Yeah.

Not just Guam's.

Guam looked at the situation and found a different answer.

But everyone else was on

board for you, Joe.

Think about what you've done.

The Inflation Reduction Act.

You're going to take that guy out of office, the guy who passed the Inflation Reduction Act?

Really?

No, they don't.

They don't want you.

You can't do that.

You can't do it.

All right.

I hope he gets word of

Oh, I'm sure he's listening right now, and he's just fired up.

and ready to go.

Actually, I kind of hope he doesn't because he might put together, he wouldn't be able to put together.

He'd think that he'd hear that and be like, I got to stay in.

People want me to stay in.

Right.

I think that's.

People have spoken.

Let me talk to you about Simply Safe.

Imagine leaving your house every day to go to work and not worrying that someone's going to break in while you're gone and rob you blind.

Imagine laying your head down on the pillow every night and not worrying that you or your family are going to be at the mercy of some criminal trespasser in the middle of the night.

These are things that I can imagine because things like Simply Safe exist.

10 Second Station ID.

I think I confused Guam with American Samoa.

I think it was American Samoa that Joe lost, wasn't it?

So the people of Guam spoke, and they said they wanted Samoa.

They said they wanted Joe Biden, too.

Wow.

Just another.

I mean, American Samoa, you can just blow that off, Joe.

Think about Guam.

Think about the people of Guam.

Think about it like Hank Johnson was thinking about it that one time.

What was he thinking about?

My fear is that

the whole island will

become so

overly populated that it will tip over and

capsize.

Capsize.

Yeah.

We don't anticipate that.

Now, the dumb American general wasn't anticipating that.

No, I mean, you see that.

He wasn't thinking ahead.

Sometimes our military has had issues where they don't anticipate what's coming around the corner.

And Hank Johnson, who, by the way, and this might not be a point in the favor of my argument, but Hank Johnson's sticking with Joe Biden.

He's made public comments saying, I'm with Joe.

All right.

So that man with the intellect that you just heard is with Joe Biden.

Are you going to let him down too, Joe?

Sure hope not.

I sure hope not.

I sure hope not.

Stay in this race to the very end.

I want Joe Biden watching those returns roll in on election night.

He deserves to see what they say, and who knows what they'll say.

Anything can happen.

We were like, oh,

again, that's not the focus of this discussion.

It's not the point.

No.

Do you really believe those polls, Joe?

Who knows?

Oh, he does.

They're wrong all the time.

They're wrong all the time.

He's mentioned that.

He has.

Multiple times.

So

he's got nothing to worry about.

Nothing to worry about.

I've been watching some of these polls roll in.

And, you know, look,

there are numbers there.

There's sets of numbers

that represent values.

Yeah.

You know,

what about your values, Joe?

Are the polls really bad right now for him?

Because I'm actually.

Last time I saw it wasn't that, it

honestly, this is true, is not that bad.

It's being completely over

blown.

And it should be.

And at some level, I'm scared in reality on the other side of like, why isn't it so bad?

But I will say, we haven't seen much at all since this, since the assassination attempt.

You do expect a bump here.

And I will say, if I'm in the Biden White House and there's the four people who are still defending him staying there,

will I think have a good argument to say, you can't look at this right now.

I mean, mean, we just had an assassination attempt on my opponent.

Of course, he's going to get a bump, but it will clear up.

I do think that whatever bump Trump gets out of this, which I think will be, I don't think it'll be huge, but when he does get it, I think it'll come back to earth.

You know,

back in 1981,

with Reagan getting shot,

he went from 60 to, I think, 68% approval rating after he got shot.

So it got an eight-point bump, and it was completely gone in three months.

Wow.

It's interesting, though, that people liked him more after he got shot.

You liked him more after he got shot.

Yeah, there was a bump.

It's sympathy.

It's sympathy.

Yeah.

And so there's those people who are kind of on the fence on the person who might come.

Now, I think there's fewer people on the fence of Donald Trump than there were of Ronald Reagan as he just started his administration.

That's number one.

Number two, 1981, a little different of a media environment.

You know,

three months is a long time these days.

I mean, I feel like they've totally moved off of the shooting.

Like, I mean, you look at the coverage, like, yeah, there are some stories.

There is some developments.

We'll get into them today.

But, like, they're kind of back on J.D.

Vance and they're on to,

you know, will Biden get removed?

Like, it's actually, it's as if we're not, what, five days after the president of the United States, former president, almost got shot on live television, did get shot on live television, but somehow survived.

We are in a different media environment.

So I think he has a legit argument on the polls to say, don't worry, we're down by a couple of points.

We'll make, we'll come back.

Believe in yourself, Joe.

Wolf of Wall Street, stand up there.

Pound your chest.

You can do it.

Don't pound too hard because it might collapse.

Just as a safety trip.

Okay, so how comfortable are you with the way things are right now?

Are you worried about the state of our nation?

Maybe the upcoming election, maybe what's downstream, and the consequences of what that election is.

Are you paying attention to what the U.S.

dollar is doing around the world?

Did you know, for instance, that in Saudi Arabia, they recently did not renew their petro-dollar agreement with the United States?

That used to be something Glenn would talk about all the time.

If this ever happens, we're in big trouble.

Well, it's kind of happening.

So how comfortable are you with all of this?

Probably not that comfortable.

You need to generate and create security around the money that you have.

Patton Stu for Glenn today, 888-727,

B-E-C-K.

Got an update on the Biden situation from CNN's senior White House correspondent MJ Lee.

All right.

She says, Nancy Pelosi privately told Biden in a recent conversation that polling shows that the president cannot defeat Trump and that Biden could destroy Democrats' chances of winning the House in November if he continues seeking a second term.

Sources tell CNN.

But

Biden responded by pushing back and being defensive about the polls, telling Pelosi he has seen polls that indicate he can win.

Now, I don't know where he's seen these.

But

those are real.

Those are not hallucinations, Joe.

Those are real, real polls.

Go with that instinct.

Yes.

At one point, Pelosi asked Mike Donnellin, who's a big long-term Biden advisor and one of the very few people still in the inner circle for Joe Biden, to get on the line to talk over the data.

The phone call would mark the second known conversation between Pelosi and Biden since the June 27th debate.

One source described it as being within the last week.

Pelosi and Biden also spoke in early July.

And the White House says President Biden is the nominee of the party.

He plans to win and looks forward to working with congressional Democrats to pass his 100-day agenda to help working families.

Are you going to let these working families down, Joe?

By stepping down, I hope not.

It wouldn't be right.

It really wouldn't be right.

It would not.

So I don't know.

I mean, he really can.

The end of the day, this is his decision.

They can't force him out, really.

I mean, I guess they can't.

They could try to manipulate the rules and really, I mean, they could go dark, which I wouldn't put past them.

And

they could invoke the 25th Amendment and just get him out of office.

That doesn't really solve it, though.

It doesn't.

He could still run.

He could still stay on the ballot.

Which would be weird.

Which would be hilarious, and the exact outcome I want.

If I could get anything out of this, I would want them to actually go through with invoking the

25th Amendment.

He gets thrown out of office.

That'd be great.

And then says, No, I'm staying on the ticket, which he could do.

Yeah, he could.

That would be glorious.

And then he loses by 40.

That would be incredible.

That'd be awesome.

It's actually my chosen path.

But there's another thing.

We talked about this on Pseudos American, I think, here as well, of how do you get Joe Biden out if you're the Democrats and you realize, what are we doing?

This is insane.

Number one, you flatter him, right?

You flatter and try to convince him.

You say, your legacy.

Mr.

President, three and a half great years shouldn't be ruined by one bad night, but we do need you to go away immediately because you've been so wonderful.

50 years of service, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

You go that, you give that rap.

You could see they all tried that.

You know, Van Jones is on television that night doing exactly that.

You've been amazing, but it's just time.

You know, that type of thing.

So you start with convincing him.

Then when that doesn't work, you go to threatening him.

And we're kind of there now.

Like Nancy Pelosi was, you want, a Nancy Pelosi threat was that clip that we played, and I'm sure you played as well, Pat, on Pat Gray Unleashed, where Nancy Pelosi was on television going, we just want the president to decide.

Yeah.

And they're like, he has decided.

He said he's staying in.

Well, we just need him to decide soon.

What is his decision?

We'll honor anything that he wants to do, but what is his decision?

He needs to make that decision soon.

That is a threat from Nancy Pelosi.

And it goes everywhere from that, which is sort of on the light side, to God only knows what behind the scenes.

Hey, you know what?

You don't want anything bad to happen to Hunter.

That would be terrible.

I mean, if they really go after him hard, that'd be a shame.

It would be a shame if all this Republican stuff

they found with the banking records would be terrible if we looked at it.

But they don't want it to taint you.

Right.

That would be bad.

And if they start looking into your finances, that'd be really bad.

They can make his life a living hell if they if he let's if they were to stay on and he were to lose they could continue to pursue all of this stuff where normally it would just go away right like there's you know even republicans probably won't pursue it all that much honestly if trump were to win But the Democrats could say, you know what, we should go after this and at least threaten him that way.

There's a third step, if all that doesn't work, which I've started to see now, I think this is already starting to happen, which is they start leaking to the media things he's not saying.

You know, he's openly been talking about considering stepping down now.

He's now open to it.

Is he?

He's made no indication of this whatsoever.

Yeah.

But behind the scenes, you know, he was at first a little obstinate, but now he's actually thinking maybe this is the right thing to do.

They're starting to leak this stuff against him.

I think eventually they'll get to the position that they will start leaking that he has already agreed to step down immediately after the election.

So if you're worried about Biden's age, you can vote for Kamala safely right now.

Just check Biden's box because he's already agreed behind the scenes that he's going to step down and let Kamala take over.

But he can't say that publicly because of all these rules.

Don't worry about it.

The point is, just know when you're voting for Biden, it's really going to be Kamala in February.

I think that's kind of like where they will get if he stays in.

Because then you have a path of kind of going to the media and saying this.

They will report it.

And when he comes out and makes a statement saying, I never said anything like that, they will go back to the media and say, he just can't say that publicly.

But don't worry.

Everything's going to be fine.

And try to convince people to vote for the ticket based on that.

They'll go down every single road.

I mean, the 25th Amendment, I think, is super unlikely.

It's the thing we need the most.

It's not a last resort, but it should be invoked right now.

It should be, because as much as he's...

He can't run for office.

He certainly can't be president of the United States.

Obviously.

And you know what?

I think that's, it's probably the most likely outcome.

The probably the most likely outcome is they have him step down as the nominee, but let him stay president, which is the reverse of what should probably happen.

Right.

Like, I think you can make the argument, he should step down from being president right now, but stay on the ticket and let the American people decide.

If he really feels that he wants to become the nominee, well, let the people vote for him if they want him.

Just like with the Trump legal stuff,

stop trying to throw this guy in prison.

Let the American people decide.

They have all this information.

You've revealed it all over and over and over again.

You've been focusing on it for five years.

Let the American people decide.

Giant jury

at your beck and call.

And they can sit there and make these decisions for you.

But, you know, of course, they didn't want to do that.

Now they're stuck with it

because they tried to get him in prison all these different ways, and all of them failed miserably.

Just like I hope this effort does to get Joe Biden out because he deserves to be the nominee.

He really does.

I mean, the people have spoken.

14 million voters have spoken.

Well, except for the people of American Samoa who voted for Jason Palmer.

But other than that.

Wow, you found the name.

Jason Palmer.

Jason Palmer.

Wow.

Yeah.

Actually, so Biden was the first incumbent to lose in 44 years.

In American Samoa?

Yes.

Okay.

Or anywhere in any American primary.

So.

Really?

Yeah.

Yeah.

Is that true?

Think so?

No.

Really?

I don't know.

It doesn't seem like it would be true, but I don't know what the examples are.

From Newsweek,

Joe Biden lost the American Samoa to Democratic to little-known candidate Jason Palmer, becoming the first incumbent president to lose a primary since Jimmy Carter in 1980.

Wow.

According to Newsweek.

That's incredible.

That is amazing, isn't it?

I would have thought, wow.

You know, I would have thought, I guess Alec wasn't an incumbent president.

He was an incumbent vice president, right?

Right.

Bill Clinton didn't, I mean, he was, he had a rough first term.

He didn't, he didn't have a primary.

He didn't lose a primary.

No.

I mean, most of the time, there are no challengers, which is what happened here.

Yeah.

He had no challengers, and Jason Palmer still walked down.

I mean, people, nobody.

I mean, Jason Palmer, nobody knows who he is.

Nobody knew who Marianne Williamson was, really, except,

I mean,

I don't even know what Marianne Williamson really does.

And nobody knew Dean Phillips

either.

So, yeah.

I mean, they knew RFK Jr.

Yeah.

And he got to, and I got to.

And they pushed him out of the party.

And they pushed him out of the party.

I mean, this is the thing, going back to the democracy argument.

This is now the fallback of the Biden White House, right?

To say, well, democracy, 14 million people voted for me.

And it's like, it's so disingenuous.

This is a party that at the beginning, remember, changed the order of the states because Biden lost the early states last time.

He won South Carolina, so they just moved South Carolina to first.

Like, this is the party of democracy.

They then twisted arms and pushed back and made sure nobody ran against him, even though everyone knew he was too old back then.

They made sure sure people like Gavin Newsom and Gretchen Whitmer and all these people did not run

as an opponent.

So he had no serious challenger in the race.

Then they, as you mentioned, pushed RFK Jr.

out of the race completely and made him go independent.

They

canceled state primaries in multiple states, canceled them.

If you just wanted to vote for Marion Williams, then you didn't have that opportunity in those states.

Just canceled the primaries,

coronated this man.

So there was no democracy really that occurred in the primary.

Then they tried to get

Donald Trump thrown in prison.

They tried to get him thrown off the ballots.

Yep.

They seemingly

almost got the guy killed with the Secret Service.

I don't know what the hell is going on there.

Not to mention, they also denied Secret Service to R.F.K.

Jr., a guy whose family has a bit of a history with this sort of problem.

And they did finally give it to him.

They stuck with that until the Trump assassination.

Yeah.

They finally gave it to him a couple days ago, which is just embarrassing.

They have tried to get RFK Jr.

thrown off the ballot in every state.

They have tried to get Jill Stein and Cornell West thrown off the ballot.

Their vision of democracy seems to be a ballot with one checkbox next to Joe Biden's name.

And yet now they're arguing, well, 14 million people voted for me.

You got to honor democracy.

I mean, it's so embarrassing.

And no mainstream media will take up that cause and say, wait a minute, this doesn't sound like a party of democracy at all.

Look at the stuff you're doing.

You know, you could say,

you could even agree that you don't like what Donald Trump has done, but you should be able to call out Biden for this hypocrisy and the Democrats for this hypocrisy.

They do this all the time.

I wish.

I wish some mainstream media outlet had the giblets to do that.

Where is your money going when you start investing it?

What are the kinds of things you are funding and you don't even know about?

What are the things you're voting for and don't even know about?

Sure, you've done the research on the stuff you've, you know, you buy at the store.

Maybe you don't like Bud Light or you skip the Disney movies these days because of all the woke stuff.

But what about your investments?

This is why you need Constitution Wealth.

They can help you build a solid investment plan because you still have to retire someday.

And you need to be building that portfolio as wisely as you can.

You need to get those returns.

But Constitution Wealth can help you with that, but help you avoid ESG and DEI.

They can help you avoid gambling or abortion or drugs and alcohol.

troubling about this is a lot of times you go with these big investment firms that are woke.

They're investing the money and then they're taking your voting rights in these companies and they're voting all the woke board members in.

And you're sitting here going like, oh, I'm really stopping everything with my bug light purchase I didn't make.

Patents due for Glenn today.

Coming off kidney stones?

Yes, we got an update.

And this is usually how we find out about Glenn's health ailments.

On social media, he posted on X that he

heard yesterday he was sick.

That was the amount of detail we got.

He's out.

He's sick.

Okay.

He was fine the day before.

You know, like, I don't know, something came on.

Okay, that happens.

Apparently, something did come on.

It was kidney stones, and he had to have emergency surgery, apparently.

Yes,

not last night.

Not the night before.

Yeah, I remember this.

This happened to you.

It was very painful.

Very, very,

this is how long ago?

Last time was about a year and a half ago.

That's when I also found out about the diabetes.

That's right.

So, yeah, I had a double whammy there.

Double whammy.

A lot of people after Glenn posted that.

cited your

particular battle with this today.

Yes, a lot of people were like, oh, ask Pat how that is,

which I think you could give him some advice.

I could.

Yeah.

But he, so he is out today.

I don't know about tomorrow whether he will be back.

I feel bad for it because, you know, Glenn, this kills him, not being on the air with all this stuff going on.

It kills him.

He wants to be here talking to you about J.D.

Vance and the efforts to get Biden out and the assassination attempt, all the breaking news on that.

It's killing him to not be on the air, but I assume he will be back at the very least Monday.

So we will keep you updated on that.

I also want to tell you that he is teamed up with Moms for Liberty for a a really cool thing that it's only going on this week.

And since he's not here, he can't really tell you about it.

I wanted to make sure you were aware of it.

Glenn Beck has teamed up with Moms for Liberty to distribute his brand new teen novel into American public schools.

This doesn't normally happen.

So this is an important effort.

Moms for Liberty Foundation is running a special campaign.

It's this week only.

And it is, if you donate this week, 100% of your donation will go to placing Glenn's new book, Chasing Embers, which is this great book, like a young adult novel, into the hands of teens across the country.

The chapters are located in 300 counties and 48 states and are going to distribute Chasing Embers into local public schools.

But we do need your help to make that happen.

So if you can donate, it's m4lfoundation.org slash Beck.

M4Lfoundation.org slash Beck.

The book is Chasing Embers.

It's available too.

If you want to buy a copy, if you have someone, a young adult in your life, teenager, who likes to read, they're going to love this book.

And

it's the type of thing that has, it doesn't beat you over the head with a message, but it hits the foundational principles we talk about all the time in an entertaining way that gets people

on board long term.

You can also pay it forward.

You can donate $1 or $1,000, and 100% goes to getting Chasing Embers into the hands of teenagers across the country.

And

if you donate

Chasing Embers into a public school, you can visit Glenbeck.com and save 10% on a copy for yourself.

So if you use the promo code moms for libraries, that will happen.

So anyway, get involved in this.

It's a really good project and something that is needed, obviously, because God only knows what kids are reading these days.

I've seen some of

the crap that's in libraries, and I think this would be a much better choice.

Are you in favor of burning books?

Is that what you're saying?

I didn't say that.

Is that exactly what you're saying?

I'm arguing to get a book into public libraries.

Wow.

That's what I'm doing.

I'm arguing to put a book into public libraries.

Fascism.

That's all it is.

No, just pure, unadulterated fascism.

So you're not dissuaded at all by the assassination attempt on Trump.

You're just going to keep saying the fascist thing.

That's what you're going to do?

Well, yeah, I tone down the rhetoric, but it doesn't stop me from telling the truth.

You know?

Yeah.

You know?

That is.

What Joe just said the other day.

But it doesn't stop me from telling the truth.

Okay, well, good.

Yeah.

And the truth, they say, is basically all the things that led to the assassination attempt.

Exactly.

Okay.

Yeah, that works.

So don't worry about it.

There you go.

All right, we're going to get into some of the very weird aspects of the assassination attempt and where the Secret Service was on all that.

And the head of the Secret Service is doing just a terrific job.

She's not a DEI hire at all.

Oh, really?

No.

Oh, good.

No,

she got that based on merit, I'm pretty sure.

We'll get into that coming up.

The Glenn Beck program.

Let me tell you about Lear Capital.

You've worked your whole life to build what you have today.

You've saved when you needed to save.

You've cut costs when you needed to cut costs.

You've done all the things you're supposed to do.

Maybe you made a mistake here or there, but you always correct it.

You get back on the horse.

And now, because of someone responsible like yourself, because of an irresponsible government,

everything you've built over time is rapidly shrinking.

If you don't see the need to shore up your hard-earned money with something that will act as a firewall against economic disaster, you're not looking very hard.

Precious metals, in particular gold, have always been a safety net in times of looming economic trouble.

Welcome to the fusion

of entertainment

and enlightenment.

This is the Glenn Beck program.

With Pat and Stew for Glenn today,

we got to get into the J.D.

Vance speech.

We will do that coming up.

But also,

what is going on with the U.S.

Secret Service?

The B team, the C team, the D team, I don't know, the F team?

I'm not sure who was there at the Trump rally, but

this was not America's finest, I'm thinking.

And the head of the Secret Service, Kimberly Cheadle.

Suboptimal?

It's suboptimal.

Okay, is that the word you'd use?

Really, yes.

Yes.

We'll get into that and more in one minute.

So in an emergency situation, you've got to think fast, and there usually isn't time for you to weigh your options out carefully.

That's why, if you're a responsible citizen, you've already weighed them out in advance.

You know, this, I mean, this is a message that I don't know.

Maybe should be spoken to some of our Secret Service agents these days.

You probably know that while you're maybe willing to take a stand, you don't

always need deadly force.

And if you want to try to

disarm a situation without it elevating to that level, you need a Burn and Launcher.

It's a non-lethal alternative to safeguarding your home.

It is legal in all 50 states if you're over 18, and you can pack it in your checked luggage without the need to declare it as a firearm.

The Burn and Launcher has powerful deterrents like tear gas and kinetic rounds with a 60-foot range, and one shot can incapacitate an attacker for up to 40 minutes.

By the way, their high capacity Mission 4 rifle with maximum projectile speed is back in stock right now, ready to ship.

Don't miss out on an opportunity to own one.

Kimberly Cheadle.

Man, is she good?

Really?

Yeah.

Oh, man.

You sure?

Oh, she's on top of this.

I, you know.

I've got a different impression.

Really?

Yeah.

Huh.

It was based on the fact that apparently the gunman was on the roof now for 20 minutes.

And you think that's, what, ample time to go up there and maybe get him off the roof?

I feel like.

What are you saying?

When I see people crawling on a roof with a rifle,

I feel the need to remove them from that situation as quickly as possible.

And I feel like, you know, like 14 minutes, you could get it done in that time.

Let's just keep it easy at this point.

14 minutes.

I think you could do it in 14 minutes.

Wow.

Yeah.

Wow.

Or one second.

Right?

Like,

if something climbs on a roof

when a president and former president and about to be next president, most likely, is speaking at an event

within rifle range.

Uh-huh.

You stop that right away.

Wow,

you're pretty picky.

This is one of my weird hang-ups.

That is really strange.

I've been thinking this way.

No matter what party is.

Really?

Yeah, I think it's just like you should stop people from trying to assassinate presidential president.

But here's the thing.

The roof was sloped.

Oh, yeah.

You know, I did not know that, Pat.

Yeah, I didn't know that.

You can't position anybody on the roof because somebody might fall off and hurt themselves.

So she couldn't endanger one of her people to be up there.

But isn't the entire job of a Secret Service agent to give your life up for someone like President Trump or President Biden or RFK Jr.?

You're talking about getting on top of a sloped roof.

Do you want to get on the sloped roof?

I mean, I've been on top of sloped roofs before, and

did you fall

to tell the story?

The tale is being told.

Yeah, but how badly were you hurt?

And how much time did you spend in the hospital once you fell off?

Zero minutes.

Really?

I was not hurt.

Are you like

some sort of human goat that you can navigate a sloped roof without falling off of it?

I am part goat.

Yes, people have said that.

You're the goat.

They say that all the time.

And so that might be true.

So they didn't have one of those in the Secret Service and couldn't.

They should get one, Pat.

And here's the thing.

If you're worried about your person falling off the roof, maybe you station them, I don't know, at the ladder that leads to the roof so that if anybody starts to climb up it, you say, Excuse me, sir, you with the AR-15 going up the ladder, I don't want you to do that.

Yeah, you're not going to do that.

There's reporting today that he actually bought a ladder, but didn't need the ladder because there was a ladder

there.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I mean, I'm lucky we can laugh about that.

I'm not going to be better with you.

I know.

And we, you know, somebody died.

Yeah, that's true, too.

Really, really lost.

I will say it does get lost and it's

really, really sad because here's a father who's defending his

family's life and he pays the ultimate price.

And these

other two were in critical condition and now down to serious condition and stable.

So that seems like there might be a recovery there.

I will say,

and I'm guilty of this.

I think a lot of other people are as well.

Because of the focus on politics, because of the president of the United States.

Him being okay.

Yeah, him being okay.

You kind of lose focus on, you know, this is a situation that is really serious.

A person died here.

And what it reminded me of a little bit, Pat, was the Charlottesville situation.

In sort of a similar way, a person who was just there supporting one side of the argument paid for it with their lives.

You know, not someone who is in an altercation, just someone who gets literally run over while she's trying to, you know, be a counter protester, right?

And that,

to this moment, Joe Biden just talked about it the other day.

Just talked about it the other day about the reason he got into the race, which is a complete lie and has been disproved already a hundred times, yet he still keeps telling the story.

But like, she's like, a woman died.

Charlottesville,

they came.

He said, and I don't know if this is true, Pat.

I don't remember this part of the story.

They came out of the woods with their torches.

Did they come out of woods?

Is Charlottesville,

it's a city.

They came out of the woods?

I don't remember that at all.

Did they?

I mean, maybe they did.

I will say I don't remember seeing that, but maybe they did come out of the woods.

And a woman died.

But the media has told the story of this woman who was run over by an insane person who was aligned with the alt-right, which is not the right.

There's 100 million X, you know,

as you might recognize from the word.

alt, which is short for alternative

to the right.

And I will say it is not an alternative version of the right.

It is an alternative

to the right.

It is something different than the right.

It is a group of people who support abortion.

It is a group of people who support federalized health care.

Like, these are not conservatives by any means.

They just apply racism to conservatives.

So whenever they hear racism, they assume it's a conservative group.

It's not.

Go look at their freaking policies.

Right.

They are not, and they're not even really a, there's like 12 of them.

So forget all that.

But my point is to say that when there was a person who, I don't know if he,

Biden referred to

them as a bystander.

I mean, they were involved in the protest.

They weren't just like walking, crossing the street.

They were involved in the protest.

But someone who was an innocent

quite clearly should not have been killed and was killed by a horrible person.

The same thing applies here.

You know, I mean, this guy just

went to this rally because he was supporting a candidate he loved.

It's really sad.

And it's really, really sad and shouldn't be lost.

And at times, I will say, because

of the ramifications to the country and to politics and all those other things,

it does get lost.

Yeah, it does.

And the other thing that we discovered yesterday was that the shooter brought with him a laser rangefinder to the rally.

How is this possible?

And was discovered with that three hours prior.

How?

I don't understand how any of this is possible.

I mean, about the only thing he did not do was to dig a grave next to the stage where he planned to put Donald Trump and made the announcement through the grave, the headstone that he was going to put there.

It's incredible.

It's absolutely unreal that they didn't find, that they didn't apprehend this guy and at least question him until after the rally.

Yeah.

Is that unreasonable to think, okay, he's got a rifle.

He's got a laser rangefinder.

He's wandering around at a Trump rally.

Maybe we might want to question him.

So when he comes in with the Rangefinder, obviously he doesn't have the rifle at that point.

But like, to me, maybe we should ask Jason Buttrell this if he's around here today.

I don't know.

But to me, when you're running a security operation,

I don't want to be one of these people who gets,

maybe I'm too nitpicky here, but when you come in and you have a Rangefinder, you're immediately detained and set to the side.

And you don't watch the rally.

Right.

You sit there with police officers till the rally's over.

And they really determine you're no threat at all.

Then maybe you go home after the rally's over and Trump is clear.

Seems reasonable.

Maybe.

That seems reasonable to me.

You don't bring a rangefinder to a political event.

No, you don't.

Just like you don't.

Like, I am a big supporter of the Second Amendment.

You don't bring a gun to a political event like that.

Right.

Now, obviously, later on, he went back and got a gun, but they also saw him with a backpack.

Yep.

They saw him multiple times and lost him multiple times.

But now we're even finding that he apparently was on the gun.

People took pictures of him.

People took pictures of him.

Pictures of him hours beforehand.

Yeah.

And said, this guy looks suspicious.

And they kept losing him.

Now, and then the 20-minute thing is incredible.

The 20-minute thing is incomprehensible.

Now, maybe they, I was trying to think of some explanation for it.

Perhaps they thought he was just trying to get a view of the rally from over there.

Now, he had to have had his weapon with him.

So that's not applies.

But like, once he's up there with a weapon, immediately he's shot dead.

That's the end of it.

Right.

Shot dead the second he's on a roof.

The only other thing I can think of is, you know, because they have the snipers that were 130 yards from him or something, and they were on that rooftop, which was, by the way, sloped.

But they spotted him, and

you've got your scope, right?

So you're seeing that he has a weapon.

Yeah.

And they don't do that.

They don't shoot him at that point.

You wonder, is it possible at some point did they think maybe it was one of their own?

Right.

That's the only thing that makes any sense.

Is that they thought maybe he was part of security right but uh no none of this i mean these are not excuses i'm just trying to think of because i here's what i don't think and i know everyone's got trying to make some kind of sense out of it and there it just doesn't make any sense i know everyone's got a theory as to why why this has gone on there's a lot of there's a million conspiracy theories on the left and of course there's going to be both on the left and the right right and there's some on both sides and who knows they some of them might prove to be true we don't even know i tend to stay away from them until we have the evidence that to support them.

So I'm not going to sit here and try to entertain all the theories.

I've heard a hundred of them already.

I will say that it's hard to blame people for jumping to them at this point.

The scenario is completely insane.

The fact that this guy was on the

now we think 20 minutes on the roof.

Obviously, people were pointing to him, saying he's got a gun.

None of this stuff is even mildly close to acceptable.

And it's so incredibly insane that jumping to these theories is pretty freaking understandable.

And especially when we don't even have real understanding of who this person is.

There was a report that has come out, the Senate was briefed, that he did actually put something on social media.

He said, July 13th will be my premiere.

Watch it as it unfolds.

So, sort of a

vague statement about he was going to do something, but again, not something you would necessarily see and say, oh, this guy's going to go try to shoot the president of the United States.

They are saying as well that he had had information about where Trump was going to be and where Biden was going to be.

Now, a lot of people are looking at this and saying, oh, they're just trying to throw us off the scent here.

Might be true.

I don't know.

It could theoretically be a person who just wanted to do something to make him famous.

It could be something that he wanted to just make some big statement.

I don't know.

It's possible.

I think

we are much better as conservatives at this.

I'd rather know the information and see what the motivation is once we have it.

There doesn't seem to be anything that they're releasing quickly.

And I talked about this with Sarah yesterday.

This happens all the time.

These social media networks bring up, they have these things, and because they're killers,

they say they don't want to help spread their message.

So they pull all their accounts offline immediately when they find out that they had an account with them.

And then we don't get to sift through this stuff.

Other people do it for us.

The government does it.

The police do it.

Somebody else does it.

And we don't get to see the raw stuff.

And while I want to hide

the,

I don't want what they want to, a shooter wants to occur to be helped.

I don't want their manifesto to be promoted.

But I do think the American people need to know what's going on, what the motivation was.

And when these things come out, a lot of times we're like, oh, it's a, it's a conservative, a conservative.

And like you start reading them, like they're like promoting Das Capital.

And you're like, wait a minute, that's not a,

what's going on here?

I think that there is a line where having this information out to the to the American people so they can understand it is important.

You know, we don't talk about the names of the killers.

You know, you don't want to promote them.

This is maybe a different situation.

I know some people who have that rule have broken it because of this one.

It's a presidential assassin.

I think that's defensible.

But I do wonder, you know, we don't know anything about this person.

We don't have enough information.

We keep getting varying accounts.

I mean, I remember seeing the 86-second thing.

He's on the roof 86 seconds before.

There's video of people saying, oh my gosh, he's up there.

He's got a gun.

Which seemed to be plenty of time.

Plenty of time.

I'm excited about it, too.

And now we're at 20 minutes?

Now they're at three hours where the Range Finder incident happens.

It's impossible.

And apparently his parents called because he was missing.

Yes.

And they didn't know where he was.

So they called police, alerted them to the fact that something was wrong that morning.

And apparently the dad knew he was going to the gun range.

And had his gun.

Yeah.

So

I don't, it's, there is so much that would make you think they're not telling us the full story that I understand people just trying to fill it in themselves.

It is actually totally understandable.

I don't think it's under, like, I don't think it's understandable at 9-11.

Right.

I know Alex has been on both your show and our show at this point, and I know that he's a big believer in that theory.

I do not buy it at all.

Me neither.

And I don't think there is a lot there.

But with this situation, and it's also early.

You don't always have the solution to all these things immediately, but it's the incompetence at a level at an organization that's supposed to be the most competent force there is.

Yeah.

It doesn't feel right.

Even though we've seen a lot of failures from this organization recently, a lot of weird stuff has been going on.

Glenn's been talking about this for years now: massive failures within the Secret Service.

He's been saying something needs to change for years.

And maybe this is just, maybe this, it's a very simple thing.

We find out that this organization, led by Kim Cheadle, is a catastrophe.

It might be that simple.

But man, I don't know.

It is,

it's too much.

It's hard for me to understand.

It is.

Pat, you and I, who are no special security agents, would have been, if we were there, we would have easily been able to identify this situation as something that needed to stop before 20 minutes passed.

Yeah.

It's not brain surgery here.

No, it's really not.

Triple 8-727.

BECK more in one minute.

You know, man's best friend comes with his own set of health needs.

If you're becoming a dog owner, you know what I'm talking about.

It isn't just enough to throw some dry kibble in a bowl.

Your dog needs nutrients, the kind of stuff that gets baked out of that kibble food when they're making it at the factory.

And there's nothing better than food made at a factory.

What you need and what your dog is going to want is rough greens.

And, you know, we've been talking about this for a long time.

I know, Pat, you've given this to your dog.

I've given it to my dogs.

Glenn has given it to his dogs for a long time.

It's not a dog food.

It's a supplement.

And it's developed by naturopathic Dr.

Dennis Black that you sprinkle on the dog food.

Remember, brown food is dead food.

You want the greens.

You name it.

If it's healthy for your dog, it's probably already in rough greens.

The Rough Greens folks are so confident your dog is going to love it.

They have a special deal going on right now.

Go to roughgreens.com/slash Beck or call 833-Glenn33.

They're going to give you your first trial bag free.

All you have to do is pay for shipping.

833-G-L-E-N-N-33.

833-GLEN33 for Rough Greens.

Give them a call today.

10 seconds, station ID.

I like this story from Politico, too.

Their headline was something like, Trump is shot.

Republicans still say guns aren't the problem.

Yeah, that's because we're consistent.

Yes.

That's because we're not hypocrites.

And that's because just because a gun was used in the commission of a crime doesn't mean you take all guns from people and eliminate the Second Amendment.

It's just like I mentioned this earlier today.

It's like car accidents kill more people than just about anything else other than cancer i think and um

so

is anybody yelling about i don't know a three-day waiting period on cars or banning cars no no

um

being fat uh

is contributing to health issues all over this country and the planet should we ban forks

probably not should we get a three-day waiting period on forks so that you can't stuff food into your mouth as quickly i i don't know It's just, it's asinine to me that they can't figure out the logic on this.

Yeah, I mean, the car one is a great one, a great example of this, right?

Cars are, most of them are used for really good purposes.

Yeah.

Every once in a while, with guns.

Every once in a while, one is not.

And every once in a while, you know, 25 people get run over at a parade.

Right.

And no one says the cars are the problem because it would be insane to do so.

Yeah.

What are there?

300, 300 to 400 million guns in this country?

Yeah, over 400 million.

Yeah, yeah.

Wow.

That's incredible.

So

you got a lot of them that aren't used for bad purposes.

I mean, the vast, like 99.9%

of them are not used for something bad.

Oh, yeah, it's over that.

I mean, I did a very first monologue I did on Wonderful World of Stew, my previous show, was about assault rifles.

So this was a long time ago.

Oh, yeah, a long time ago.

I remember it because, you know, it was the first show of that series.

Yeah.

and i i i look like i'm 14 years old and um i had a i filled an entire uh kiddie pool with rice okay and i colored like

one of the grains red okay and i was like if you can find the red you know uh uh grain of rice in this pool that is the chances of one of the guns that is out there actually being used for these purposes.

It was just a kind of a way to illustrate how almost everyone uses their gun for

purposes that are completely fine to defend their home, to defend their family.

Every once in a while, someone takes one and uses it for bad purposes.

That doesn't mean the entire gun is the problem.

It's insanity.

Insanity.

Glenn back.

So, Relief Factor is something that has really helped Glenn.

He's out today because he had surgery for kidney stones, and

he's in a lot of pain.

I don't know if Relief Factor stops this kind of pain.

I don't know.

I can tell you that it's helped him live his life again.

I can tell you that it's helped Glenn change his life.

He's got a big art exhibit coming up.

He couldn't even paint for years.

And he's become a really, really good painter.

I mean, not at the Hunter Biden levels.

I mean, he's not that good.

Obviously, that would be too much.

Come on.

But Relief Factor is a big part of that story because he wasn't able, his hands were so painful.

He wasn't able to at all.

That changed because of Relief Factor.

And if you have pain that is hitting you every single day, all day, every day, whether you're hurting,

whatever it is, your back, your neck, your joints, your muscles, in about three weeks or less, you'll see a difference because of Relief Factor.

It's Pat and Stew for Glenn today.

A kidney issue, like kidney stones.

I had to have emergency surgery on those.

But But he's home and resting and doing fine now.

And I'm sure out of pain.

But man, you've never had that, have you, Stu?

The kidney stones?

Nothing like surgery level stuff.

No.

I mean, when they hit, boy, does that hurt.

Oh, my gosh.

It is some of the worst pain you could imagine.

And I've had women that have had both compared to childbirth.

So, you know, it's pretty painful.

It's not good.

No, no, not good.

If I had to go through that kind of pain in childbirth, we wouldn't.

There'd be no children.

No.

No.

This is why.

The population of this planet would be about four.

No.

Four or four people.

When you say you would not go through this, but you don't mean that men can't have children.

You understand that men can birth children.

Of course,

of course.

Yes.

I would not disparage birthing people at all ever.

Okay.

Or limit them to, say, like some, you know, freaks, that only women can have children.

I would never do that.

I really believe that.

They think that that only women can give birth.

What?

Yeah, it's crazy.

Nutty people.

I know.

Oh, man.

When obviously we all know the truth that men can give birth.

I mean, probably.

If they want to.

Some would argue they're even better at it.

You know?

I mean, men

are maybe superior at birth giving birth.

I hesitate to ask, but from where does the baby come

in a man?

You know, when it comes out of the man.

Because that's got to hurt.

Well, thinking, um,

probably pretty painful.

But I mean, childbirth is painful.

You know, this is why you should be able to

be able to abort at any moment of the presidency, any moment, or a pregnancy.

All right.

If you feel I'd love to abort this presidency, too, by the way, speaking.

The Democrats are currently attempting to do it, just in case you've been following this.

They really are.

They are.

Full fred.

They are giving Mifipristone to the presidency as we speak.

They really are.

They are full out in.

I know.

It is, but I will say,

it is a, it's been a fascinating thing to watch.

And honestly, like, so far, it's been bizarre in that, like, people are so amazed by the incompetence of the Secret Service.

It really hasn't hit,

it really hasn't hit Biden in a negative way, right?

Like, I think people have talked about the DEI aspects of it, where, like, what's going on?

Why are they hiring these people?

You see one of the top priorities, as stated by the Secret Service, is to get 30% of the agents to be women.

Like, that's one of the top priorities?

How can that be one of your topics?

How about keeping people off of sloped roofs?

Yeah.

Like, is there anything you can come up with that?

Right.

And getting good people that would, I don't know, recognize the fact that somebody shouldn't be on that roof

right before a presidential candidate is about to speak 130 yards away.

Yeah.

You know, maybe

somebody who could figure that out would be really good in the Secret Service.

I don't know.

And I'm a big believer.

I can't believe Kim Cheadle's even still in this job.

And I think she should, I mean, I'm on vacation.

I'm not sure where we are as a nation right now.

Yeah.

I think by the time I get back from vacation,

she will be gone.

I could be wrong on that.

Because Joe Biden really hasn't shown no.

aptitude at all to fire people who've done terrible jobs.

I mean, Majorkas is still in office.

No one got fired for Afghanistan.

Budajudge, too.

Budajudge.

Oh, my God.

It's been a disastrous we've had transportation-wise.

Come on.

And so none of that's happened.

So she may very well hold on to her job, but she should be out.

But this is not like people are looking at this as a Kim Cheadle issue.

It's really not.

I mean,

it's above that.

You know,

it's not only just even a Biden issue, it is a central issue to the philosophy of the left and the way they want to run this country.

They constantly want people who aren't the best at their jobs to have the

because of their skin color, because of their genitals, because of their sexual preference.

Yeah.

And wouldn't this be a good time to review that policy

where you're hiring people because they're diverse and diversity above all else, above merit, above anything else in life that makes any sense whatsoever.

We just want to have the most diverse people available in our jobs.

Well, that's asinine.

Yes.

Especially when it comes to protecting the lives of people.

Right.

Asinine.

We talked about this a little bit, but it's like, you know,

Corinne Jean-Pierre.

Yeah, is that critical?

Obviously, a DEI hire.

Obviously, she can't do the job.

Right.

You know, in some ways, but it's not killing people.

Yeah.

It almost kills me because it causes my blood pressure to go so high that I would argue, though, she's probably been good for conservatives overall.

Like, the fact that they have someone who's that poor of a spokesperson to defend their policies has probably been a really good thing for conservatives overall.

But it's not a vital function, right?

It's not lives aren't on the line with Crin Jumpier being an idiot.

I mean, she is an idiot.

That's true.

She can't do her job at all, but eh, whatever, right?

Like, it's not the biggest deal in the world.

There are a lot of jobs that are like that.

And it's unfair to, let's say, some other qualified spokesperson who should have that job so that they can lie better to us.

Yes, I will admit that that's true, but I'm not that concerned overall about that.

I am concerned about our military,

our Secret Service, our

FBI, our CIA.

Like we're talking about

those are big time important agencies that do important things in theory to defend us, though they're, I don't know what they've been doing lately.

But I mean, that's a whole other point on top of all of this.

At the end of the day, like, you got to have the right person in the job.

I mean, our health infrastructure.

We got some dude in a dress running giant chunks of it.

That's real.

Like, again, like, there's obviously, obviously, this person should not be running.

What was it?

Health and Human Services.

Yeah.

And, like, obviously, everyone knows the reason they have this job is because it's a guy in a dress.

That's 100% of the reason.

Everyone knows it.

Everyone knows it on the left, on the right.

Everyone knows it.

And we're like, oh, well, it's not a big deal.

I think it is.

Just like KJP has her job because she's a black lesbian.

Yep.

I mean, that's it.

100% of the reason she has that job is 100%.

Right.

And we also know because he mentioned it in advance.

We also know why Kamala Harris has her job because she's a black woman and he promised to put a black woman in that position.

Katanji Brown Jackson.

Save that.

Another example.

He promised to do it beforehand.

Before he even looked at the candidates, he decided genitals and skin color were number one and number two as to how he would come up with who he picked.

And then the person person he picked didn't even understand how to define a woman because she's not a biologist.

Oh my gosh.

When you lay it out like this

on top of each other, it's really frightening, isn't it?

I mean, the greatest country in the history of this planet has all of these problems right now.

It's really incomprehensible.

Let's go to Michael in Utah.

Hey, Michael, you're on the Glenn Beck program with Patton Stew.

Hey, I was wondering if you guys would be interested in a Zoomer's perspective on the assassination attempt on Trump.

Sure.

So what I did is a couple days, I think it was Tuesday, I went and hit up a bunch of friends online on my Discords and I said, hey, I got three questions for you.

What's your political leaning?

How did the Trump assassination make you feel in the moment?

And do you still talk about it?

And the common theme among all of them was apt to see towards Sol saying is, oh, it's just an interesting event, you know, exciting in the moment.

But this doesn't really affect me very much.

Don't really care.

And nobody still thinks about it except when it pops up in the news site.

What's interesting is that my right-leaning friends, their general perspective was indifferent.

So it was, oh, crap, friends, we got shot.

Let's

follow the news feed.

And then it was like, oh, okay, he's okay.

Who cares?

But among the left, though, it was a lot of disappointment that it failed.

And then the centrists were the more even between the two, where they were shocked, surprised, and worried.

And I think it's interesting that the centrists had more of the

opinion that, you know this is bad that this shouldn't happen and while the right were like ah whatever I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner and the left were like damn it failed what the hell

that's amazing I think you know is and thanks for the call Michael I appreciate it I think one of the parts of that is it really was something that a lot on the right just expected

the hatred has

built up on this guy for so long I know tons of people who you know I've talked to you had probably a dozen conversations over the years of people who thought this was going to happen and we're like I just can't believe it hasn't happened yet Well, the way they've demonized him.

Yes.

Yeah.

Yeah.

How often have they said?

Well, you've just inspired somebody who is disturbed.

Yeah.

Well, they accuse us of that all the time.

And your rhetoric hasn't maybe inspired somebody who's disturbed?

Do you ever watch Handmaid's Tale, Pat?

No.

I don't know that I would recommend it, particularly for you.

It's a little dark.

But it is

a vision of the country in which women are living in servitude.

They are constantly sexually assaulted and murdered for no reason.

They're beaten when they do.

And this is supposed to represent Trump's America, right?

And this is the example they use probably most often to represent what Trump would do, the handmaid's tale.

In the handmaid's tale, the heroes of the story are trying to kill the leaders of that society.

Right.

The whole point is you're rooting for the heroes of the story to kill the members of the group that have started the society.

Wow.

That is what the whole thing's about.

Her escape and her efforts to kill all the people responsible for the society.

And then they tell you on television all the time that this is what's coming if Brett Kavanaugh becomes a Supreme Court justice.

And then what do you think might happen to Brett Kavanaugh?

What do you think might happen to Donald Trump?

I mean,

I think the indifference on the right is built on two things.

One, the president's survival and his immediate turn to show it as an empowering event, which was incredible.

Yeah.

And number two,

it was so expected.

We look at the way the left treats people.

We look at the way the left thinks and talks about Trump.

We look at the way that violence is constantly excused on the left when they burn down cities and everyone's like, ah,

but I mean racism.

That was mostly peaceful.

It was mostly peaceful.

Don't worry about it.

The fact that police officers lose their lives and they shrug and say, well, police are bad.

Over and over and over again, this happens.

So, what the right does is see this and say, thank God he survived, but totally expected that to happen five years ago.

Yeah.

I can't believe it's taken this long.

That is shocking, but true.

Sure is.

This is the Glenn Beck Program.

Pack Race Stuper Gear for Glenn today.

Triple 8727BECK.

Talking about some of the failings of the Secret Service for one thing.

Let's go to Martin in California.

Hey, Martin, you're on the Glenn Beck program with Pat and Stu.

Hey, Pat.

Hey, Stu.

Hey.

Thank you.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to enter the dialectic about this issue.

Yeah.

I am most curious.

Usually the day after the day of a shooting, we hear that the automatic rifle, you know the AR, the black gun bad.

We need legislation to start right now.

We need to ban the black rifle.

Yes.

Have you guys heard any cry?

Well, it's interesting.

Very little.

We did mention the politico article that kind of brought that article up today.

And Joe Biden did make some sort of plea at one of his bumbling speeches that we need to ban the automatic rule.

But it's been pretty muted.

It's been pretty muted.

I will agree with you.

It's been pretty muted.

You're right about that, Martin.

You have a thought as to why that's muted?

Your guess would be as good as mine.

It's their normal tactical use of control.

That's what they want is control.

You know it as well as I do.

Yeah, absolutely.

I thank you guys.

Keep fighting.

Just like the boss said, fight, fight, fight.

Thanks.

Thank you.

Appreciate that.

You know,

it is a little strange.

You know, it's been fascinating to watch because basically they've gone into two different.

There's been a little bit of this pitch toward anti-gun stuff because it's kind of their common defense.

And then this idea that because he was a registered Republican, we don't have to answer any of these questions about rhetoric on their side.

Yeah, and we'll just ignore the $15 donation to the progressive cause.

Right.

Which obviously

none of it makes sense.

But I will say, we went through that Lester Holt interview with Donald

Joe Buck.

Was he belligerent during that thing?

Or what?

Yeah, he watched that whole thing.

He watched the whole thing.

He was pissed from the start.

I can't.

For some reason.

Can you imagine a Democrat being mad at NBC News' coverage?

It's impossible.

You guys haven't covered Trump's lies enough.

What are you talking about?

It's all they talked about.

We did miss the one.

Most people missed the one where he really lost his train of thought in the middle of it.

I don't know if we have, maybe we can play that clip later on today because you go through that and you see how upset he was.

But one of the things

he kind of talks about every time he was asked.

And Lester Holt, I think, did a halfway decent job of saying, hey, like, have you reflected on this, your rhetoric at all?

Like, is there anything?

Yeah, he did.

He He asked it several times.

He tried to ask it several ways.

And every time, Joe Biden went back to Trump's rhetoric, blaming the victim of the assassination attempt for the problems.

Yeah.

And he actually said

he carries no responsibility or accountability for it.

I don't do that.

Other people do.

Oh.

So

Donald Trump saying bad things about you or the reason why he got shot?

Yeah, it does not.

What does that does not?

What does that make any sense at all?

all and i you know people are like well we don't know the motivation i think the motivation may have been to kill donald trump that's that's i'm thinking really that perhaps but where are you getting that is that just because the shot tore through his ear yeah yeah that was a big part of it and maybe a quarter of an inch more and it would have tore through and through his skull

that was a big part of the thesis it does have something to do with that it's in it's in the document i wrote a report on it okay and it was like hey they shot at donald trump that was pretty much most of it so uh that was mainly the reason.

Now, again, we don't know if the motivation was politics or they just, I don't know, he really liked Survivor instead of The Apprentice.

I don't know what it could have been.

But my guess is

the political rhetoric against Donald Trump played a role here.

That's my guess.

Unless maybe Donald Trump fired somebody during The Apprentice that this kid liked.

That's great.

I don't know.

We haven't looked into that.

Let's follow that lead.

The Glenn Beck program.

Let me tell you about home title lock.

Did you you hear about the cyber scammers in the news that tried to steal Graceland from Elvis Presley's family?

You wouldn't think that that would be a good idea, Pat, but

they tried it anyway.

Yeah.

Didn't get away with it, mainly because it was Graceland.

I mean, I think eventually it was caught.

They had to go to court, though, to prove that the Elvis Presley family actually owned Graceland.

That's how pervasive the crime of home title theft is right now.

It is one of the biggest, fastest-growing crimes in America.

There's a lot of targets out there, and you're probably one of them.

You're probably probably somebody who's been paying their mortgage this entire time and done everything right.

Well, if you're one of those people, you're the big targets of this.

Don't fall prey to these thieves.

Go to hometitalock.com.

Got no room

to compromise.

We gotta stay together.

If we're gonna survive,

stand up straight

and hold the line.

It's a new day, I tell you right.

Welcome to the fusion

of entertainment and enlightenment.

This is the Glenn Beck program.

Republican on a private

Anyway.

She slaps into Joe Biden there.

The idea that...

I mean, it's kind of.

Anyway.

I've said too much.

I've said too much now.

The Republican National Convention going on.

We've got some great clips from last night in J.D.

Vance, the vice presidential candidate.

We'll get to that coming up in one minute.

Wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where your credit card balance wasn't hit with crippling compound interest?

Kind of sounds nice.

Unfortunately, though, we don't live in that world.

And if you're someone who has had to use a lot of credit cards, well, you know, chances are fair that you could end up into debt up to your eyeballs.

If you're talking about debt, if you're thinking about debt, the type of debt that can wipe out your savings and set you back years, if not permanently, you need to do something about it.

If you're a fiscally responsible person, you find a little time in your schedule to check out and head to the fine mortgage consultants over at American Financing.

They know this stuff, they've been dealing with it for a long time.

They're going to look over your finances.

They're going to see if there's some areas that can be improved.

For instance, your mortgage really can be made to work for you.

It can help you get out of high-interest debt fast.

It's the kind of thing that happens for people when they get in touch with American Financing.

So

don't miss this opportunity.

Don't take my word for it.

Do your own homework.

Go to American Financing.

Call them at AmericanFinancing.net or go to their website or call them at 800-906-2440, 800-906-2440 or AmericanFinancing.net.

It's AmericanFinancing.net.

NMLS 1-82334, NMLS Consumer Access.org.

APR for Rates in the Five starts at 6.799% for well-qualified borrowers.

Call 800-906-2440 for details about credit costs and terms.

It's Patton Stewart for Glenn today.

Maybe back tomorrow.

Maybe not till Monday.

Not sure, but he's recovering from kidney stones, and that's just a painful, painful situation.

Yeah.

So

we haven't had the chance to talk about the J.D.

Vance pick since it happened.

What were your thoughts on J.D.

Vance?

He's the guy I thought Trump was going to pick, and I thought it was the right pick for Donald Trump.

You know, again,

I think part of the calculation here is Donald Trump is a guy who people have very well-formed opinions over.

And his vice presidential pick probably doesn't make a difference either way

in any major way.

As far as getting elected.

As far as getting elected.

So why not pick the person you believe is most aligned with you that can carry your flag forward?

And that is the thing.

And he seems to have done that.

Yeah, that seems to be where he landed.

I wasn't sure he was going to land that way.

I think that's what I would have done if I was in his position.

And he wound up

doing it.

And we did a list a while ago of all the things that...

you know, the reasons, the things that he would think about in picking a VP.

And he checks off all the boxes.

And the one that I think people ignore a little bit is

the typical thing that people do when they're picking a vice president.

You pick it to help some group, right?

Oh, well, we're going to pick Marco Ruby as a group.

You can't have two white guys, so you need a minority.

Yeah.

And I never understood that

basically from the idea that Donald Trump is the anti-woke guy.

He's not the guy that makes decisions based on identity politics.

At least that's what we've always known about him.

So why did everyone

expect he was going to take, well, Tim Scott, because he needs to pick a black guy.

Like, I mean, Tim Scott has his upsides for sure, but like, I don't think that's how he was making the decision.

With J.D.

Vance, I think he gets a guy who's a good communicator, who's loyal, who is, you know,

who can raise a lot of money.

It's another thing you want to have a vice president,

who is willing to go with him on sort of a lighter touch on the abortion issue.

Not necessarily my point of view, again, thinking about how the approach he wants to have going into this election.

He's good with the media.

And as far as him addressing a specific group, I think actually Vance does a better job with that than people talk about.

The key states in this election, if it's going to be close, are going to be Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

And

while Vance isn't from one of those states, he's from that region.

He's in that region.

He knows that region.

He knows the problems of that region.

He knows the problems of working-class voters in that region.

He wrote a book about it.

And, you know, the book was not exactly the same way he's presenting these issues today.

It's a little bit more,

it's a little more tough of, I'd say.

Like it's a little like, hey, you know,

you're causing all these problems yourself, guys.

Last night he talked about how basically like the government is a bigger,

people, these people are often victims of the government.

I think both can be true at some level.

But I thought he did a good job presenting that.

And the reporting about this is that behind the scenes, Trump is like,

what are you going to do with J.D.

Vance?

And his answer was, we're just going to leave him in Pennsylvania.

He's just going to go there and just hit Pennsylvania, hit Michigan, hit Wisconsin, hit that region.

And he knows how to talk to those people because he was one of them and dealt with a lot of the same problems they're dealing with.

So I think it's a good pick.

He's been criticized a little bit as maybe it's a little bit of a luxury pick.

Like he sees himself as winning now at this point, and he doesn't have to try to appeal to moderates, right?

He's going with his guy.

And there's some, you can see that being a factor.

If he loses, it will be criticized.

You know, the Vance pick will be criticized as an element there.

But I think it's the right pick for him.

Here's some of what J.D.

Vance had to say at the convention last night.

Now, thanks to these policies that Biden and other out-of-touch politicians in Washington gave us, our country was flooded with cheap Chinese goods, with cheap foreign labor, and in the decades to come, deadly Chinese fentanyl.

Joe Biden screwed up, and my community paid the price.

Now,

I was lucky.

Despite the closing factories and the growing addiction in towns like mine, in my life, I had a guardian angel by my side.

She was an old woman who could barely walk, but she was tough as nails.

I called her Mamall, the name we hillbillies gave to our grandmothers.

Mamall raised me as her own,

excuse me, Mamall raised me as my mother struggled with addiction.

Mamal was in so many ways a woman of contradiction.

She loved the Lord, ladies and gentlemen.

She was a woman of very deep Christian faith.

But she also loved the F-word.

I'm not kidding.

She could make a sailor blush.

Now she once told me, when she found out that I was spending too much time with a local kid who was known for dealing drugs that if I ever hung out with that kid again, she would run him over with her car.

That's true.

And she said, JD, no one will ever find out about it.

I mean, good delivery on these lines.

Great story.

Yes.

Meh, ma.

And they start chanting mehamah.

Yeah.

It's nice.

I will say

you could have done without a lot of the chanting.

Yeah.

I don't like the chanting.

I don't need the chanting.

You don't need to interrupt him every time he makes a good point and say the thing he just said.

I will say I don't.

I'm not a big fan of that either.

And it and JD was struggling a little bit with what to do with those moments.

Yeah.

Like he was at one point chanting, like they were chanting USA or something and he was going, USA.

He didn't want to actually scream into the microphone along with the crowd.

So he was mouthing the words and you could hear the whispering being picked up by the microphone.

It was weird.

It's just tough to know what to do in those spots.

The bottom line is just sit there and smile until they're done.

So that was a little strange, but honestly, like, it's about my biggest criticism of that speech.

I thought it was really well delivered.

I thought he was really good.

He was more engaging.

Than I've seen him before.

He's been on the show, what, a dozen times?

And he's good on policy.

He knows his stuff.

he's very very smart he's good at arguing i hadn't seen that side of him where which was really just engaging you know he was really good yeah he was he was funny he was his timing was good when he went for comedy it was the timing worked

um he had a bit of that Vivek Ramaswamy, never says um, never, you know, stutters, never does any of that stuff, which was interesting.

Now, it's a, it's a speech a lot easier.

Vivek's doing it off the top of his head.

But it was interesting.

It was a very clean speech, I guess is how I would put it.

Yeah.

Did you like the pick or did you like the speech?

No,

I loved the speech.

I did like the pick.

I've got some differences with JD on

abortion being one of them.

I'm sure you have that same issue.

I do.

But he doesn't have that issue with Donald Trump, it seems at this point.

No, you seem to be like-minded on that.

In fact, it seems like he adopted Trump's position on the abortion pill.

So that's a problem for me.

Part Part of being a vice president is subservience.

Yeah.

It is.

It just is.

You have to be able to let, like, I don't know.

J.D.

Vance was never super strong, like known for his abortion stance.

But it does seem like he's essentially adopted Trump's stance, which,

again, it's not exactly clear what it is right now.

Look, his record is really good on the issue.

And I think that's what I keep falling back on.

Yeah.

Me too.

I mean, the guy got, you know, justice.

He appointed three justices that helped sway this thing and get rid of Roe v.

Wade.

And we both of us have talked about this many times.

We never thought that would happen.

Nope.

I didn't think that would happen in my lifetime.

Nope.

And it did.

So it did.

And he deserves to be able to do that.

He was credit than I thought.

And he deserves some trust on the issue, frankly.

He does.

Even though I don't like the direction of this right now, he deserves some trust on the issue, I guess.

And so that is a factor here.

But I think he's a good pick.

My favorite pick would have been DeSantis, but that was never going to happen.

Never going to happen.

I mean, I don't think DeSantis wanted it anyway.

It's like the people who call, we've talked about this too.

It's like the people who call sports radio talk shows and say, hey, Mikey, I'm just thinking,

what if Mickey Mantle and Babe Ruth and Joe DiMaggio all played with like Don Mattingly and then

you brought in Roger Clemens.

And they were on the Kansas City Royals.

Right.

And do you think they'd win the World Series

or what, Mikey?

You know, that is kind of, you get into that fantasy league world where like you'd like to have this guy.

I I think J.D.

Vance makes a lot of sense.

Of the people that he had thrown, that had been thrown out there as serious contenders.

I think he was the best pick for Trump.

Yeah.

You know, like, I didn't understand.

I love saying bergamentum and bergamania.

I didn't understand at all.

We never really were a part of.

In reality, he was not a part of Bergamentum.

But what is interesting about the Vance pick, And makes it a little bit challenging is what he has said in the past because the left is just beating him over the head with that right now.

Just inundating it

with these past quotes.

Okay, I get it.

He didn't like Trump at first.

Yeah.

So what?

Neither did we.

Then you know what happened?

His presidency.

And that turned out way better than I thought it would.

And for Vance, too.

Yeah.

So I don't even understand this.

Like, I saw a political article that said, here are the quotes that could wind up burning J.D.

Vance.

And they had all the quotes of him against Trump.

It's like, how could it burn him?

He was chosen to be vice president.

Like, what more damage could be done?

And what Trump didn't know?

He said these things.

Of course, Trump didn't do it.

And one of the big reports about J.D.

Vance and how he became vice president was that he went to Donald Trump.

I don't remember the year.

It might have been 2021.

I think it was 2021.

And he went to Donald Trump and he said, look, they had a meeting and he didn't try to hide from his past comments.

He said, look, I got caught up in the narratives about you and I was wrong.

And now, watching you and watching what you've done and who you are, I realize I was wrong.

And

he has said that multiple times.

Yep.

And he went right to him and just said, I owned up to it.

He owned up to it.

And like, that is

a lot of people.

And look, Donald Trump loves a supporter.

But you know what he loves more?

A convert.

He freaking loves a convert.

If you hated him before and now you've been turned around by his actions, he loves you.

And that is, that's kind of what happened with J.D.

Vance.

He just owned up to it and he went out and showed that he believed it because he kept defending him and arguing for these policies publicly.

He didn't ask for a lot in return.

One of the things that was also reported in a pretty well-reported article about him, I think it was in the New York Times, but I could be wrong on this.

But one of the things that impressed Trump about Vance was that he didn't come begging for stuff all the time.

Yeah, he doesn't like that.

Yeah.

Begging like a dog in my office.

Yeah, you're right.

You know, that's his thing.

His thing.

He's mentioned that about a lot of people.

There's only two things I think he asked for, which was one was asked him to endorse a Senate candidate in Ohio.

And the other one was, I think it was a railroad safety bill he wanted to get his backing on.

And that was

over multiple years.

Yeah.

And I don't think Trump likes it when people come and say, hey, you know what?

I'd be great for your VP.

No.

I'm the guy you need to.

He doesn't like that.

And that's one of the reasons probably Carrie Lake was sort of jettisoned.

Yeah, she wanted it so bad and she made it really apparent.

Really apparent.

Right.

So home.

And not to mention she's now running for Senate.

She wasn't really a candidate.

I mean, if you look at, you know, Rubio is an interesting one, which he really has come a long way toward Trump since back in 2016 when he was

first sort of normally critical, then had like a two-week period where he was like wise-ass insult comic.

Yeah.

And then

he's become more on the Trump side.

It didn't, but like, that's a good example of, I think politically, Rubio makes a lot of sense because Rubio, he could maybe give you some of the Hispanic vote potentially.

They're both from Florida.

There was a conflict there that was reportedly part of the issue why they didn't pick him.

But at the end of the day, like Rubio is like a supporter of the effort in Ukraine, for example, and is not.

completely aligned with Donald Trump.

He's an old Tea Party guy.

He's, you know, turned into, you know, he's obviously been there for a while now, and I think is more of a traditional Republican than Donald Trump is.

And at the end of the day, if Donald Trump wins and he has four years and Marco Rubio is the heir apparent, like, is Donald Trump's legacy going forward, or is it Marco Rubio who just has a totally different opinion on a lot of stuff?

I think that would have been a risk.

With J.D.

Vance, he eliminates that risk.

He sets forward a path for his viewpoints to be the future of the Republican Party for a long time.

You might like that.

You might hate it.

But the bottom line is, if you're a candidate running for office, it's got to be a central part of what your thinking is.

Yeah.

Especially if your maximum amount of terms is one.

From here on out, he's only got four years.

And so if you, yeah, he can get a lot of stuff done in four years, but if he wants his policy platform to be the thing going forward in the future, a more populist, nationalist version of the Republican Party, J.D.

Vance is a great pick for him.

We'll explore this more coming up in one minute.

I don't think it hurts him either.

No, the criticism, by the way, I don't think is a big deal.

Let's talk about Patriot Mobile.

Wouldn't it be great if we didn't have to deal with a stalled economy, inflation, endless wars, the relentless assault by our government and media on our American values?

Wouldn't that be nice?

Wouldn't that be nice?

Well,

you wake up, unfortunately, in a place where you don't have that necessarily.

We can change things, but we can't change it overnight.

We can take steps in a positive direction, one that will lead us to where we want to be.

So think about changing to Patriot Mobile.

You're going to get a whole month for free, so that's great value.

It's a great way to start your new service.

And they're America's only Christian conservative mobile company.

You think about the mission statement of, like, what's the mission statement of Bud Light or what's the mission statement of Disney right now?

Well, the mission statement of Patriot Mobile is to passionately defend our God-given constitutional rights and freedoms and to glorify God always.

Yeah, that's a little different than some of the other mobile providers.

I will guarantee you that.

They have affordable, excellent plans, and their 100% U.S.-based customer service team is going to help you and make switching easy.

So have you been following the convention much this week?

Of course.

Been watching a bunch of the speeches.

Was very interested in the JD Vance thing.

Did a reaction live on YouTube.

YouTube.com slash StrudozAmerica.

We're doing live.

Probably do one after the speech tonight, the Trump speech.

I give you the live analysis of that.

So if you go there and click the bell for notifications, you'll be notified when we go live.

And these have been really fun taking your questions on all these big news events as we go through the election cycle.

I think it's been, honestly, really good.

Yeah.

I think they've done a good job.

It's gone well.

There have been no huge incidents that would taint it.

Yep.

I hope and pray that continues tonight.

These days, yeah.

You got to hope.

This is when Trump speaks,

is tonight.

So that's going to be highly watched.

Fox has been doing really well, as you might expect, during the RNC convention.

I think they've got almost as many viewers as the other mainstream competitors combined.

So

they love this.

And

it's always fun to have

the Fox people

on the set in Milwaukee.

You never know what's going to happen.

What kind of hijinks can ensue?

Can I ask you an old person question?

Yeah.

Pat.

The J.D.

Vance speech, rolling out your vice presidential nominee, a person who, while and well-known to maybe this audience and well-known to people who, I don't know, read hill billiology, I guess, and people in Ohio, is not a very...

Number one again this year.

Yeah, by the way, number one.

Anyway.

He's not a particularly well-known figure in America.

J.D.

Vance is not,

is not like, even like a Marco Rubio, who people are very well aware of.

He is a new senator.

He's not particularly well-known.

You're introducing him to America.

The speech started at, I believe, 11 p.m.

Eastern Time.

That is really pushing it late.

And I know I guess I'm getting old and I don't want to stay up too late.

Now, you do a show that starts at like, I don't know, one o'clock in the morning or something.

So, I mean, you couldn't have possibly stayed up for that speech.

No, do you watch it in the morning?

No.

You had to watch it in the morning.

I waited till this morning.

Yeah.

You couldn't watch it live.

And like, I think a lot of people,

I mean, I think about that all the time when like the World Series comes on and the game starts at 9 p.m.

And then it's not over till like 12.30 a.m.

Eastern time.

And it's like, what are they trying to do?

Like, all the kids are in bed.

A lot of people want to go to sleep.

Yeah.

It seemed like a very late starting time for that.

It is.

To me.

It is a late starting time for that.

And I imagine tonight is going to be one of the most watched convention speeches of all time.

The guy who was almost assassinated a couple days ago comes out to speak for the first time.

But I don't know.

They're going to run it really, really late.

Is everyone going to be awake for it?

I hope it's at a decent hour.

Like, I don't know, three in the afternoon would be good for me.

For you, that would be good.

I don't think.

I'm going to do it at three.

All right.

No, I don't think that's a good idea, Donald.

Please don't listen to him.

Glenn Beck.

Buying or selling a home isn't just one difficult decision.

It's a whole host of big decisions.

And the scary part is almost all of your decisions fall into this category when it comes to buying or selling a home.

If you care about having the best real estate agent, you know how important it is because, look, when you're buying or selling a home, your real estate agent can change the whole situation from the best experience you can have where you're making a bunch bunch of money and you're really excited about that outcome, or you might find out that you have a huge 1% fee that you have to pay to your HOA when you sell the house.

That's preposterous.

Some people have found out.

How found that happened?

Yeah, no, it's true.

No.

Some people have found out that when they sell their house,

they didn't read the small, the really fine print at the bottom of the HOA covenant.

Yeah, and think about that.

I mean, 1% of a house is a lot of money.

What kind of dummy wouldn't

check that out?

There are people like that.

And don't be like Pat.

Pat, who?

Recovering nicely from his surgery for kidney stones.

I don't think there is a nice recovery from your surgery from kidney stones, to be honest about it.

Just being out of the pain.

He's wallowing.

From what I understand, he is not out of the pain.

Oh.

I mean, even you have a surgery for that.

It's also painful.

Maybe not as painful as going through the whole process of that.

Yeah, but they usually give you stuff, you know?

Drug him up.

Okay.

So Glenn's drugged up, listening to the show at all, wondering who these people are talking.

And yeah, he'll be back.

Hopefully, I'm going to go back to the past it was Joe Biden.

It's still Glenn.

Who are those patents too?

Who are these?

Why am I not wearing pants?

Anyway.

I love this.

As part of a fact check, I was doing some research because during the Lester Holt interview, he again

said something outrageous about Biden

or about Donald Trump and the lies that he told.

And so I thought, okay,

what what is this figure of 30 lies that Trump told during the debate as opposed to Biden only lying nine times?

So it was supposedly a 21-lie gap there.

But in the course of looking this up, I found this other quote from him where he was talking about presidential historians.

And he said, 159

or 58.

I don't know an exact number.

Okay, that's quite a range of 101 historians.

So 58 or 100.

Or 159.

Okay.

We don't know.

They've had meetings.

Remember when all the presidential historians got together and they had their meetings?

The presidential historian summit?

Yes.

Yes.

Okay.

I remember that.

They did the summit and they voted.

Okay.

Who's the worst president in American history?

They said he was the worst in all American history.

That's a fact.

That's not congesture.

Conjecture.

Congesture?

That would be the type of word it was.

Yeah,

it's somewhere between conjecture and congestion.

Yes.

Exactly.

Now, the APE fact-checked that, and they actually say that's almost right, but not quite.

The survey in question, a project from professors at the University of Houston and Coastal Carolina University, you know, those...

Those two institutions get together on a pretty regular basis.

They get together, you throw the scoreboards out the window.

You do.

And apparently, it included 154 usable responses from 525 respondents invited to participate.

Wait, so three-quarters of the people couldn't figure out how to fit a ballot who the worst president was?

Right.

Good professors we have in this country.

What do I do with this paper?

I mean, that was not one I questioned at all.

Every one of the historians, they always say the same crap.

They also put Barack Obama near the top.

It's nonsense.

They put FDR, a guy who imprisoned the Japanese-American population, as number one all the time.

Who the hell cares what they say?

It's idiotic.

And I went through, the Trump lies is interesting because this has been their pushback on the debate.

Yeah, sure, Biden had a bad day.

He didn't finish any sentences and almost fell over 43 times, but at least he didn't lie.

Now, of course, he did lie many, many times.

But

the Trump lies were like...

I was like, well, they keep saying he lied all the time.

What did he lie about?

The one I remember looking at,

and can you classify this as a lie?

You can.

The lie was:

well, look,

everybody, all the great people,

everybody, all the legal experts, every single one.

Unanimous.

Unanimous that they all wanted to overturn Roe versus Wade.

Okay, we all know that not everyone agreed they wanted to overturn Roe versus Wade.

Of course, that's an exaggeration of a true statement, which is a lot of left-wing legal scholars who support abortion

believe that ruling was flimsy.

They believe that ruling was just legally poorly decided.

That doesn't mean they loved, they loved Donald Trump.

It doesn't mean they loved every one of his Supreme Court justices.

Just in a narrow way, including people like Ruth Bader Ginsburg early in her life, many other legal scholars.

At the time, back

in June of 2022, talked about a wide swath of them.

And they said, look, yeah, we want abortion rights to be a thing in America, but this case was very flimsy.

It was decided improperly.

And so that's what he was getting at.

It's obviously not true that everyone agreed.

That's not true.

But they chalked it up to being a lie.

Is that a lie?

I mean,

it's not true.

So you want to classify it as a lie, I guess you can go there.

But like just knowing that also, is Donald Trump, is Trump Tower the most glorious building ever built?

Well, no, probably not.

It's a nice building.

Yeah.

It's a fancy building.

It's an expensive building.

Is it the greatest thing we've ever seen?

Everybody agrees that my penthouse is the most beautiful.

Like, we all know that's just how he talks.

So, like, they're stretching to get that number high to defend Joe Biden and Democrats in that moment and try to attack Donald Trump.

But it's kind of silly, right?

Like, it's very silly.

Human beings who have watched Donald Trump and have been on this earth for the past 50 years that he's been in our public life all understand the way he speaks at this point.

It's not a surprise.

Yes.

Meanwhile, the lies of Joe Biden during the debate go completely unresponded to from these fact-check agencies.

Anyway.

Anyway.

Anyway.

I've said too much.

I better stop.

But what's fascinating is that when he sat down the other day, it was Monday, I think, with the Lester Holt interview that he did,

he was immediately pissed.

He was immediately filled with hyperbole that they accuse Trump of all the time.

And he was very evasive.

He was very defensive.

And he was just nasty the entire interview.

I mean, he went into it nasty.

Weird.

Yeah.

Because there's not an adversarial situation, you would think.

Yeah, could you NBC News has treated you unfairly?

Come on.

Does anybody buy that?

I hope not.

Certainly, it's insane.

I honestly, like, we've seen a lot of delusional statements from Joe Biden.

I think the idea that NBC News hasn't been mean enough to Donald Trump is about the most delusional thing Joe Biden has ever said.

I mean, that is

shows he is lost.

Because if you don't think they've gone after Donald Trump enough, you're crazy.

But

there was a segment of that interview that got no attention because it was just after the Eileen Cannon overturning of the special prosecutor in the classified documents case against Trump.

And he, so he asked Lester Holt about it.

And its response was a catastrophe.

I mean, he just, you'll hear him, he just stops in the middle of it, in the middle of trying to introduce a thought.

And it just like the whole thing just reboots live on camera.

It's bad.

Let me give you this clip because it was not shared on social media a lot.

And there's a lot to it.

And listen.

Judge Cannon dismissed the documents case, as you may have heard in Mar-a-Lago.

Can I first get your reaction to that?

I'm not surprised.

It comes from the immunity decision the Supreme Court ruled on, and Clarence Thomas, in his dissent, said that independent prosecutors appointed by

the Attorney General aren't legit.

That's the basis on which

the judge moved to dismiss.

But I had an independent prosecutor to look at me.

They spent months on mine going through, and I was totally cooperative in and out of my house.

There were, I don't know, the last time in, there were like 10, 12 agents in my house for nine hours on a company, going through every single thing I had as appropriate.

And they looked at me and concluded I didn't do a damn thing wrong.

My generic

that it's

well

the whole basis upon which the case was thrown out i find specious because i don't agree with clarence thomas

dissent and or the supreme court decision on immunity so i we kind of talked over the beginning of that pause but wow so three things i'll point out to you number one uh-huh clarence thomas was in the majority of that decision he didn't write a dissent

okay

he wrote a concurrence all right something totally different But yes.

Taking a nitpick.

That he just said the opposite of what actually happened.

That is a nitpick, I will admit.

Wow.

Is that a lie?

Are you going to hold him to that standard?

Certainly Donald Trump would be hit for it.

That's a lie.

One of his lies.

No, he didn't.

Look, it's minor, but like, you should know that it was a concurrence.

He was in the majority of that decision, which is what you're complaining about.

He didn't write a dissent.

at all.

Right.

He wrote a concurrence.

But beyond that, the second thing you started reacting to, which he says, well, they came to my house, they looked around, they concluded I didn't do a damn thing wrong.

That is a blatant lie.

Blatant lie.

Does he get a lie for that?

No.

I will tell you right now, I am wearing a shirt that highlights that exactly the her report.

Joe Biden, elderly man with poor memory.

That is a quote from the report.

And the reason why we made...

Oh, you didn't just make that up?

No, I didn't just make that up.

That's a quote from the report.

And the reason why that quote is in the report is because they found you did do a damn thing wrong, many damn thing wrong, but you were so out of it during the interview that Robert Hurr believed he couldn't get a conviction on your crimes because you were an elderly man with a poor memory that people wouldn't be able to really throw in jail.

They'd feel too bad for you.

A fascinating statement.

By the way, stew doesmerch.com.

I don't know how long he's going to be in the race.

I got to sell these things while we still have him in.

But

so that's the second thing.

And then can we play that?

I don't know if we can play that second part again right around that period.

So you can hear that pause.

He just, he sets it up with, but my generic point is,

well,

pause.

And then it's just silence.

He's just looking at the ground for multiple seconds.

Listen to this again in full context.

And I was totally cooperative in and out of my house.

I remember, I don't know, the last time in, there were like 10, 12 agents in my house for nine hours on a company going through every single thing I had.

That's appropriate.

And they looked at me and concluded I didn't do a damn thing wrong.

But my generic point is that it's,

well,

the basis upon which the catch

is.

That is like...

It's amazing.

That is, it's almost Mitch McConnell-esque.

Yeah.

How long was that pause?

I mean, between the where he says, and he sets up what my generic point is.

This is an easy thing.

He's just said it.

He just went through the Clarence Thomas dissent.

Well, look, Mr.

Partisan.

Oh, okay.

Yeah.

He

just took a jet to

that location, and he had jet lag.

Wait, what?

In addition, he was tired.

Okay.

Okay.

And

the other thing you have to factor in here is that he didn't feel good.

He probably had the beginnings of COVID-19.

Ah, maybe he got it from Western Maybe.

Maybe that's the problem.

Maybe.

I will say none of this, none of these criticisms, because I'm also doing a show on Studos America tonight where we go through his NAACP speech because this is another one that got past everybody.

And there's all sorts of massive problems with that one.

But I want to be clear that none of these things should make him step out of this race.

I don't think that don't let now these criticisms sound like, wow, this guy should get out of the race immediately.

No, I want to make sure that he's opposite of what I'm saying.

Okay.

Stay in the race.

This July, we celebrate the birth of our nation and remember the heroes who fought for our freedoms.

But you know that some Americans today still don't have the freedoms of life and liberty.

Those people

are actually people.

They're not clumps of cells.

They are people who have their lives ended by the horrors of abortion.

And this is why Pre-Born is so incredibly important and worth your support.

Pre-born is the largest pro-life organization in the country, and they're leading the charge to put an end to the atrocity of abortion.

Every day, they sponsor free ultrasounds for women, as well as providing help for up to two years after the baby is born.

And I know there's been a lot of back and forth about the RNC and like the

convention and the platform and not being strong enough on abortion.

At the end of the day, we're going to have to convince people.

People are going to have to have their hearts turned on this issue.

The laws can help, but really, at the end of the day, we have to convert people and save lives that we can actually save.

Pre-born does this all the time.

Will you stand with pre-born?

One ultrasound is just $28, and five ultrasounds, only $140.

So, why not donate?

We're living through incredible times right now.

This effort to get Joe Biden out a couple of months before the election is unprecedented and incredible.

Really incredible.

I want to give you this clip from yesterday.

We have a president that now has COVID-19.

He is self-isolating.

He's 81 years old, of course, so this is a significant health issue, but he seems to be fine.

Here he is just a couple of hours before telling everybody he had COVID.

Is there anything that you would look to, you personally, not anybody else, not other pundits, not even perhaps family members, that you would look to to say, if I see that, I will re-evaluate?

If there had some medical condition that emerged, if somebody,

doctors came to me and said, you got this problem, that problem.

Uh-oh.

But I think

in the whole debate.

And

look, when I originally ran, you may remember it, I said I was going to be a transitional candidate.

And I thought that I'd be able to move from this, just pass it on to someone else.

But But I didn't anticipate things getting so, so, so divided.

What?

And quite frankly, I think...

This is just nonsense.

I mean, first of all, he ran for president saying he ran because the country was so divided.

So

it's all nonsense.

He's just making this stuff up.

Though I will say stay in the race, Joe.

You can do it.

You can push through this, Joseph.

You Joseph Robinette Biden, the fighting spirit of the Robinette family.

You can do it.

By the way, I did mention earlier in the show, look

for the Democrats to start leaking that he is going to get out, to force him out, whether he said it or not.

New article out from Axios just breaking.

Behind the curtain, top Dems now believe Biden will exit as early as this weekend.

Now, is that true?

Is he really going to give up the presidency while he has COVID?

I mean, it just...

It's not...

I don't know.

Maybe it's real.

Maybe it will happen, but they want it to happen.

They're doing everything everything they can to force him out.

And Joe, get that steel spine of yours, that Biden fighting spirit together.

And you tell them to stand down.

You tell them the show goes on.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Wolf of Wall Street, give that speech loudly directly into Nancy Pelosi's face and tell her you're staying in this race.
