Let me talk to you a little bit about American Giant.
American quality.
Those words still mean something to me.
I think they mean something to you as well.
It's one of the reasons why American Giant is one of my favorite companies.
They're a company that just doesn't think about what they can do.
They think about what they should do.
And then they do it.
When you buy American Giant clothing, you're investing in American manufacturing, American workers, American towns.
You're investing in the process process that can help save our country.
We have got to save our jobs in these local towns.
We've got to rebuild our local communities.
American Giant is doing their part.
You can get cheaper clothing, but you're never going to get that same American quality.
And you're not going to be helping out building, rebuilding our country like you will with a great pair of pants or shirts or jackets or hoodies from American-giant.com/slash dot com slash Glenn.

Welcome to the fusion
of entertainment
and enlightenment.
This is the Glenn Beck program.
Hello, America.
Welcome to the program.
It's Friday.
Let's say you need your car to do something really important.
Paint the picture for you.
Let's say
1993 White Ford Bronco.
Now that thing is way out of warranty, but you're going to need it later, you know, because you got to drive down the highway for a while.
How embarrassing would it be if all of a sudden you got a breakdown right there in front of a bunch of,
I don't know, people with cameras and police behind you.
Let's just say.
I bet you're going to seriously regret not getting CarShield.
Maybe one or two other things as well.
But for almost two decades, CarShield has been helping millions of drivers avoid the stress of major repairs.
They offer plans covering up to 5,000 parts and systems from your engine and transmission to the electronics and more, all for a low
monthly rate that fits your budget.
CarShield plans also include unlimited miles, 24-7 roadside assistance, rental options.
Get peace of mind now.
Call 800-227-60100.
I don't know if CarShield could have given you, if you were the driver of that Bronco or, you know, cowering in the back, crying, I don't know if it would have given you peace of mind, but it's worth a shot.
800-227-60100.
800-227-60100.

All right.
Batten down the hatches.
That is my theme today, batting down the hatches.
I have told you in the past what I think is coming, and I hope I'm wrong.
I hope I'm wrong.
But things will change very rapidly if I am right.
When this,
and I don't know what the final domino will be that will have to fall, that will just start it all collapsing on us.
But there's a domino on the horizon, and it is a
it's growing closer and closer.
The U.S.
today is approaching the Minsky moment of issuing $1 trillion of debt every 100 days.
Now, why is this such a bad moment?
Well, because as we do that, the interest on the U.S.
debt, now at $1.1 trillion,
is about to surpass Social Security spending and become the single largest government outlay before the end of the year.
This is something I remember.
In fact, I have a speech in our library here, handwritten by
Gerald Ford,
1975, maybe, where he's talking about this is out-of-control spending back then,
and we will not be able to pay for that at some point.
We've got to stop.
Ever since then, we have just accelerated.
We're talking $1.6 trillion
in interest alone.
Now, you know what it's like when if you have an adjustable mortgage, if you have an adjustable mortgage right now, you're pretty screwed.
If you don't have an adjustable mortgage, you're not worrying about it.
But the United States government has an adjustable mortgage.
And so we are headed towards a place where you're just not able to keep up with it.
So last night, something happened.
Something happened that is quite bizarre.
In the finance world, they say there are decades where nothing really happens.
And then there are times where in a few weeks, decades happen.
I think we're entering that time.
You're going to see very
bold movement on a lot of things.
My grandfather taught me
he lived through the Great Depression.
If we only would have known what the Rockefellers knew,
things would have been a little better for us.
But we didn't.
The Rockefellers did.
The Rockefellers moved their money, did the things that they had to do prior to all of this thing, all of these things happening.
Last night,
gold surged higher to an all-time high.
Then it spiked another $15 in a matter of seconds.
And now,
just in
a matter of hours, if not minutes, the spot price of gold is up to $2,400.
Now, this is where it was this morning.
two hours ago.
I'm looking at the gold price now.
It is up another $15
currently.
The June contract just hit a new all-time high.
People saying that they are betting that gold is going to be about $2,406.09
by June.
As of right now, it is already
$2,415
per ounce.
This is the biggest move that gold has made
since the 1970s.
We have been waiting and waiting and waiting to see what is going on.
Bitcoin already took off.
Bitcoin's been going for a while.
They do everything they can to suppress the price of gold.
The government knows, all the governments know, that this is an issue.
When people start to see gold go up, people at least that are my age
realize what that is really all about, especially since the government suppresses the price of gold.
So what does all of this mean?
This means buckle up.
Buckle up.
People who, and it's mainly the central bank, central banks are buying up gold like it's nobody's business.
You know, you know which central bank is not buying up gold?
Us.
China loading up on gold.
Russia loading up on gold.
What is the United States doing?
Nothing.
Nothing but spending.
So there's a couple of things that are coming our way.
Either another QE, another quantitative easing where they're just going to come in and do what they did in 08 and do what they did over and over and over again, which is only going to make things worse.
Or what?
Or what?
Fix it?
Gold is smelling something
and we are headed for real trouble.
Now,
as you look at this and you know that our our financial house is way out of order,
we're going to talk about the economy in a couple of hours on today's podcast.
Today is a don't miss podcast because it all revolves around a couple of themes.
And the major theme is
what's coming next.
Batten down the hatches.
What is coming in the next few months
between now and Christmas that you need to be aware of?
Well, the FBI chief as now wardened of a coordinated attack, Christopher Wray, was testifying, saying that the FBI is growing increasingly concerned about a potential attack in the U.S.
similar to last month's Russia concert hall shooting.
Now, let me ask you,
when
somebody goes into a concert hall, a group of people go into a concert hall and they start shooting Americans, just slaughtering them.
When they go into a mall and they just start slaughtering people,
they go into a school and they start slaughtering people and this is all happening in a week or two.
What do you think the American people are going to do?
Do you think we're going to sit on our hands?
What do you think the government will do?
Well, they'll be looking for mis and disinformation.
That's for sure.
They'll be looking for anybody who is talking about, you know, real trouble with the economy because we're really fragile right now.
Anybody starting to talk down the economy, starting to say things like, we can't afford what we're doing and this is going to disrupt the economy
in a global way.
Of course, they'll have to say that that is nonsense and dangerous to say, et cetera, et cetera.
And then they'll start looking for the bad guys.
But what do you do in a country where the bad guys are known
and nobody's doing anything about it?
Let me tell you this story came out.
An illegal alien from Afghanistan who's a member of the Islamic terrorist group is roaming the streets now in America.
We had him,
but ICE decided not to tell the judge anything about his terrorist activities.
And so he's loose on the streets of America.
We don't know where he is.
Listen to this from NBC.
Tonight, an alarming development in the border crisis.
Among the record number of migrants crossing the southern border was a member of an Afghan terror organization who was released into the U.S.
by border agents, according to U.S.
officials.
48-year-old Mohamed Harwan illegally crossed into California in March of last year.
His name is on a U.S.
terror watch list, identifying him as a member of Higg, a terror group that's killed Americans in Afghanistan.
Border agents suspected he was on the watch list at the the time of his apprehension but lacked corroborating information according to u.s officials cbp released him without contacting the fbi or immigration and customs enforcement those officials told us harwin was allowed to apply for work authorization and board planes in the u.s according to those officials after almost a year ice arrested him here in san antonio when he went to court u.s officials tell us ice officials withheld classified information about his terrorism ties a judge ordered him released on twelve $12,000 thousand bonds, which he posted and was freed last month.
Harwin's case appears to be just one of at least three incidents in the past two years involving suspected terrorists being released by Customs and Border Protection, according to the DHS Inspector General and Congress.
So we had him.
Now, if you were watching this on the Blaze TV, you would notice that there was a shadow picture of him.
How do we not have a picture of him?
Why aren't we not showing the picture of this guy?
Why?
So we can protect his identity, his privacy?
So you have this going on where we know terrorists have come across the border.
Who do you think is going to get the blame for a terrorist attack?
It will not be those people who kept the border open.
They will see to that.
They will immediately clamp down.
Meanwhile, we have,
well,
we have a whole area that used to be one of the greatest areas in America for industrial production.
We now have, it's Jihad City, as the Wall Street Journal calls it.
Here's Ralisha, Rashida Tlaib,
who
represents that community where they had a Death to America chant and talking about and extolling the words of the Ayatollah of Iran, who is promising to hit America.
Here was, if you remember, last weekend, death to America, death to Israel, death to America.
America is the real problem.
So
the Congresswoman that
answers to those people,
here's what she said when approached.
Can you just explain, you know, can you condemn death to America?
Congresswoman Talib.
Fox News.
I don't talk to Fox News.
At a rally in your district, people were chanting death to America.
Do you condemn
chants of death to America?
She doesn't talk to America.
I don't talk to people that use racist tropes.
Okay.
Okay.
Stop.
So racism
is worse than death to America.
She's using that as an excuse to not answer the question.
Okay.
all right
now biden said uh yesterday i used to teach the second amendment in law school from the very beginning there were limitations uh-huh uh-huh okay so wait what are we what are we doing here biden is saying he is going to go after people's guns he is going to take executive action on people's guns.
If there's a terrorist attack, if somebody goes in and just shoots up them all, what do you think this president will do?
Of course he's going to take your guns.
We are in a situation where the streets are more dangerous than any time I remember in my lifetime.
The government is out of control in a way I've never seen, nor would I ever have predicted 30 years ago.
Couldn't happen in America.
Well, it's happening.
And what is the government doing?
The government is taxing you to death through the hidden tax of inflation.
They're making it damn near impossible for you to have your own business or start your own business or even keep your own business.
They are importing jobs, left,
sorry, not jobs, workers, low-paying workers
who are
working in slave conditions.
Why?
Because
they can't call anybody if they're being abused.
Who are they going to call?
You think people are like, you know what?
You should call a labor union.
So they're working in slave conditions.
There are
foreigners are responsible for almost all of the job growth in America.
So you have
terror coming.
You have out-of-control spending.
You have the government taking our jobs and the government also
wanting to take our guns.
This has happened before.
In fact,
let me play a clip here.
This is from a woman who is from China, moved to the United States.
She's an immigrant, legal immigrant.
She's talking gun control with
David Hogg.
Listen to what she said.
Hi, my name is Lily Tang Williams.
Welcome to my home Leave Free Old Die State.
Actually, I am a a Chinese immigrant who survived communism.
And under Mao, you know, 40 million people were starving to death after he sold the communism to them.
And 20 million people died murdered during his cultural revolution.
So my question to you, David, is that can you guarantee me, a gun owner tonight, our government in the U.S., in DC, will never, never become a tyrannical government.
Can you guarantee that to me?
There's no way I can ever guarantee that any government will not be tyrannical.
Well, then, the debate on gun control is over because I will never give up my guns.
Never, never.
And you should go to China to see how gun control works for the dictatorship of CCP.
Trouble is coming.
You don't need to fear.
It's not a surprise to God.
He has things under control.
We have to remain under control.
But for the love of God,
please
mentally prepare, spiritually prepare, and temporally prepare.
Make sure your family can survive the things that come no matter what they are.
That you can be a help to others there is nothing more important
right now I don't care what it is than getting yourself spiritually and temporally prepared for what is coming next
all right I think we can all say that we can sleep a little more soundly now that OJ is dead he is still dead right
But maybe that's not enough for you.
Maybe you still lie awake at night looking up at the ceiling thinking, thinking, Yes, but what if he comes back?

You know, if you're looking at what to do, what to do, what to do, I don't have a lot of money.
May I suggest silver?
If you're looking to save some money that you might have just buy silver,
it looks like as we are getting closer to $3,000 an ounce by 2025, that's what experts are saying.
Silver will also have some demand.
It could take silver to over $30
an ounce over the next 12 months.
Silver is, I think, it's more volatile,
but I think it is a
great backup for anything that might happen.
I want you also to read a couple of things.
I want you to read Michael Schellenberger.
He just wrote an incredible piece, Socialist Strategy Behind Brazilian President Lula's War on Free Speech, not censorship.
War on free speech remains the only weapon for defeating disinformation and hate speech.
And it's by Michael Schellenberger.
Now, Schellenberger in this says that, you know, he's interviewed Lula before
and was kind of a fan of his.
What's disturbing in this article, and I'll go into it here in a minute, is that this isn't about Brazil.
This is happening everywhere in the Western world.
And until we shed the scales from our eyes to see this is not Republican and Democrat, that this is the elites of all of the Western world against the regular person,
you won't be able to avoid the collision.
I'll explain coming up.
Glenn Beck.
The convenience of the modern American life sometimes complicates our efforts to maintain our values.
For instance, not that long ago, If you wanted to have good cell phone coverage, you had to go with the big boys, companies like Verizon.
You didn't have choice, even if you knew they were donating to leftist causes that were splitting us apart.
Then Patriot Mobile came along.
They share your values.
They're America's only Christian, conservative wireless provider, and their mission is to passionately defend our God-given constitutional rights and freedoms and to glorify God always.
Well, they have built a great company.
That does glorify God, honestly, with the way they do it.
They do honest business.
They give you dependable nationwide coverage.
You can access any of the three major networks that everybody's on, but they don't screw you at build time.
You don't have to worry also about part of your bill going to fund leftist causes.
They're 100% based.

Also, you don't want to forget that our Blaze original bought and paid for premiered this week available now only at blazetv.com
Welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
I don't know of a a more honest journalist right now than Michael Schellenberger.
I mean, we're starting to see them.
I was
watching
Barry Weiss last night.
I was at the Majestic Theater here in Dallas, and they had
a debate, a civil debate on closing the U.S.
border.
And
personally,
I thought it was missing the point.
You know, they were talking about should we have zero immigration or some immigration?
And
that's not what people are upset about right now.
They are upset about an out-of-control border.
They're concerned about people coming over here.
And
this red herring of, well, but we really need
comprehensive immigration reform.
Yes, after we shut off the water.
After we shut off the water and the bathtub is no longer dripping through our dining room, then we can talk about that.
But she's another honest journalist, somebody else who probably is, you know, I mean, she's probably not thrilled that I'm talking, you know,
saying great things about her.
We, we, I'm sure we don't agree on a lot of stuff.
But reasonable people,
this is, this is the thing that's so frustrating for me.
We just don't have reason anymore.
Reason is what
built this nation.
And
not using reason is what gave us every dark period in our country.
I can't say that.
You know, another,
that was, that was, that, that explains slavery, okay?
Not using reason.
But what described what what caused the dark period was the misuse of reason.
Darwin is the one who gave us the
he codified racism.
He codified it.
Oh, well, he, you know, he didn't really.
Shut up.
Shut up.
It doesn't.
Science
took
Darwinism
and said, see, we all evolve.
But part of what Darwin was saying is
there are subspecies,
groups of people that haven't evolved yet enough.
Well, that just let racists go.
Wow, follow the science.
Look at even scientists are saying it.
And then that led to eugenics.
Let's get rid of the inferior people,
which led to the Holocaust, which is leading to another Holocaust today.
It's coming.
It's coming.
Unless we remember.
Boy, every day it becomes more and more clear to me
what Paulina told me, one of the righteous among the nations, somebody who is at 16 years old saving Jews in Poland.
She told me in Auschwitz,
You know, we didn't suddenly become righteous.
We just
didn't go over the cliff with the rest of humanity.
What she's saying is, it doesn't take anything.
It doesn't take anything to be a hero.
All it takes is remembering.
Remembering what's right and what's wrong.
And when there is fear,
You forget
because you stop reasoning.
And that's why, if you're not prepared now for what is coming, you will live in fear.
I'm trying to do the opposite of what everybody
used to accuse me of.
You're just fear-mongering.
I'm not fear-mongering.
I am telling you the logical conclusion of where we end up by using reason.
And I'm telling you this in advance so you can stop it or you can prepare for it if enough people don't wake up.
That way you won't be afraid
because you'll be prepared.
And there is something happening and Schellenberger is pointing this out in his socialist strategy behind Brazilian President Lula's war on free speech.
And it is a must-read, a must-read.
It's in my show prep today.
You can find it if you follow me on X.
I retweeted it yesterday.
It is
talking about what's happening in Brazil, but he then explains all of it in a very honest sort of way and then says, by the way, this is happening in all of the Western countries.
What are they doing?
To save democracy, we're not a democracy.
To save democracy, we have to violate democracy.
To save freedom, we have to violate freedom.
No.
This is, you know, last night I about blew a gasket.
I was going to bed and just reading the news, and I saw what Mike Johnson said, his new stance
on the Patriot Act and FISA.
Listen to this, cut three.
When I was a member of this judiciary, I saw all the abuses of the FBI, the terrible abuses, over and over and over, the hundreds of thousands of abuses.
And then when I became speaker, I went to the SCIF and got the confidential briefing from sort of the other perspective on that to understand the necessity of Section 702 of FISA and how important it is for national security.
And it gave me a different perspective.
So I encourage all the members to go to the classified briefing and hear all that and see it so they can evaluate the situation for themselves.
And I think some opinions have changed both ways, but that's part of the process.
You've got to be fully informed.
Got to be fully informed.
Got to be fully informed.
Not you, the American public, but they have to be fully informed on everything.
What he's saying is, yeah, I know, I know the abuses of the FBI.
I know the violations of the Fourth Amendment.
I understand that we've trashed the Fourth Amendment, and we're about to trash the Second Amendment, and we're trashing the First Amendment.
I know that, but we have to do what we know.
You don't.
No, you don't.
That is the whole point.
The whole point of the Bill of Rights is you don't do it ever.
No matter what happens, you never ever do it or you become an oppressor, a dictator,
a dictator country.
You become the authoritarian.
You become everything that we despise.
And quite honestly, you know, I was
not in a good mood.
I'm still in a good mood, but I was not in a good mood last night when I got home.
And
I don't know.
I haven't even seen it yet today.
Maybe I said too much.
Maybe I didn't say enough.
I don't know.
But
this is what I wrote last night on X.
Respectfully, Mr.
Speaker,
that is exactly what men who who are afraid to be held responsible for attacks say.
Well, I saw this, and so I think we should violate America's rights.
The Americans said we should violate that because you never know, you never know, scary things could happen.
Yes, scary things are going to happen.
America, as I wrote last night, is going to be attacked.
The inaction on our border makes that a matter of when, not if.
And there will be those responsible, primarily the terrorists, but also those who refuse to stop the insanity on the border, as well as the DHS and FBI who've been looking for the real MAGA terrorists, just like O.J.
Simpson was searching for the real killer on all America's golf courses.
Then,
frankly, the other ones left for that are responsible is us for voting in non-constitutional liars, cheats, thieves, whores, and cowards.
Now I'm not accusing the Speaker of being any of those things.
Only God can and will condemn.
But I ask the Speaker to consider this.
There are many kinds of threats to our Republic.
We have over and over again dealt with real outside threats.
We always have, and we always come together and we win.
But those threats from within,
even those who are well-intentioned,
but those threats within that in the name of security will violate every principle and amendment for either their gain or for
heartfelt reasons that, gee, we just have to do something
or just because they don't want to be blamed for something.
You people in Washington need to remember you work for the people, not the Intel community whom you are currently burning, who are currently now burning all of the rights of all Americans.
Your job that we sent you to do was to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.
If we don't have the rights of the Constitution, if we don't have the guaranteed protected rights, then we don't really have a country.
We're just another place like every other place.
And I know that voices will be silenced because it will be an emergency and they will have to silence these voices.
But what a surprise that the FBI, CIA, Intel community is coming out right now and saying there's going to be a terrorist attack.
Of course there's going to be a terrorist attack.
You let all these people in.
Of course there's going to be one.
But they're ramping everything up right now as they're beating the drums to war.
Oh, Iran, Iran, Iran.
Let's give him money.
Now let's piss them off.
Now let's give them money.
Now let's piss them off.
Of course there's going to be attack.
But now we've got to have FISA.
We have got to be able to destroy the first, the Fourth Amendment.
We have to destroy the Fourth Amendment and spy spy on everybody without any warrants.
Well, because we're trying to keep you safe.
You're not keeping me safe.
I am just as concerned about Putin as I am about you in the federal government.
I don't know who's the bigger threat right now to my personal freedoms.
I think it's you in Washington.
Back in a minute.
You're listening to the swinging sounds of Glenn Beck.
Sit tight, boys and girls.
We'll be right back after these messages.
It's been six months since the brutal attack by Hamas on our brothers and sisters in Israel.
And since then, the attacks on Israel have only increased, especially in the north.
This is where the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews comes in.
They are on the ground right now addressing all the needs as they come in.
Your life-saving donation today can help provide a bomb shelter in an area in Israel that needs it the most.
When the siren goes off, people have 15 seconds or less to get to safety.
20 people can fit inside each mobile bomb shelter, and they're constructed to withstand the rocket attacks.
The IFCJ has helped renovate and install nearly 3,000 bomb shelters.
The cost of one bomb shelter is $15,000.
Could you give $50?
If 300 listeners give just $50, we'll have a new bomb shelter installed.
If you're able to increase your generosity and give $500 or more, your name will be included on a special plaque placed on the bomb shelter.

That's one word, supportifcj.org.
Welcome to the Glenbeck program.
I don't think my mood's going to improve much.
We have Mike Pompeo coming on in just a second, former U.S.
Secretary of State, former CIA director.
And he's going to make the case to renew the reformed version of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
And he's written
an op-ed on it.
Congress cannot let FISA Section 702 expire.
Our country's safety is at stake.
And,
you know, he starts with, without cooperation, the FBI used the steel dossier, which was paid for by Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign as the basis to launch its crossfire hurricane investigation into allegations of collusion between Donald Trump and Russia.
Just think of that paragraph.
Without any cooperation, the FBI used the steel dossier, which they knew was paid for by Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign as the basis to launch its investigation into allegations of collusion between Donald Trump and Russia.
Boy, that sounds bad, doesn't it?
Who went to jail?
Who got fired?
Who was made an example of?
Answer, no one.
As the world would eventually learn, the FBI built a false narrative to justify their illegal actions by withholding key information from the judges who approved and renewed the Bureau's application to monitor Donald Trump.
Again, paragraph number two, who paid the price?
Who was fired?
Who went to jail?
Answer, no one.
We now know definitively, as many suspected at the time, that there were no credible ties between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.
This week, Congress has had the chance to pass the single largest overhaul to the FBI in nearly 20 years.
What he's saying is, and he makes a good point: well, this time it will be different
because this critical national security tool has allowed the United States to counter our adversaries like China and Russia and thwarted numerous attacks from ISIS and al-Qaeda.
I mean, after all, we have this now, and we're not seeing anybody from China coming in in droves.
We haven't seen a bunch of spies.
Oh, wait a minute.
Catherine Arridge from CBS, she ratted out a spy,
but for some reason, the Intel and the Department of Defense need to know who her source was.
She found a spy
from China in our midst, and she's been fired and is fighting for her ever-loving life
against the United States because they have to know who her source was that outed this spy.
Why?
Why?
Why?
Has anybody gone to jail over this?
Is anybody going to go to jail over this?
No, but
they've got some, you know, really.
They're going to stop future abuses or inappropriate actions because they're going to monitor these people now with the new things that they've got.
Okay, so he's on next.
And then Mike Lee is going to have a final word on the opposite side all next hour.
The Glenn Beck program.
Sadly, our economy
has become dominated by businesses that cater to the woke mob.
They really are not serving you anymore.
They're using their money to your money to make themselves bigger, bigger, and global.

It's a new day, a time to rise.
Welcome to the fusion of entertainment
and enlightenment.
This is the Glenn Beck program.
Welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.
It is Friday.
There is something that is so important for all of us to be informed on,
to
fix reason firmly in her seat.
and to figure out which is the bigger threat.
FISA and the secret courts and the violation of the Fourth Amendment or
massive terrorist attacks, which are coming.
For a myriad of reasons, they are coming.
So where do you stand on the Constitution versus terrorist attacks?
Can we even balance those two?
Mike Pompeo and Mike Lee are joining me this hour.
First, Mike Pompeo is going to make the case that we have to renew a reformed version of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
This is something that has been violating, you know, Fourth Amendment rights nonstop, non-stop, and has caused many of the problems that we have in America today.
But Mike Pompeo, who is former U.S.
Secretary of State and former CIA director, says, you don't understand.
I want to hear his side of
the argument, and and I
you know, I wish I could know what he knows, but that's not possible.
But he does say there are severe and significant reforms in the bill that's coming up in front of Congress, probably today.
So Mike Pompeo joins us in 60 seconds.
Okay,
there's few words that you can use to describe this situation.
Trapped, terrified, backs against the wall, alone.
These are the words that describe most moms who are going in and thinking about an abortion.
They feel trapped, terrified, back against the wall, completely alone.
And that's how Matt and Ariel felt when they found out that she was unexpectedly pregnant.
In a society like ours, both the easy path and the right path are available.
Still unsure what they were going to do, Matt and Ariel, thank God, came across a pre-born clinic and they chose the right path for their now newborn daughter.
Everything that enters your mind when you hear the word plan parenthood, pre-born is the opposite of that.
They offer free ultrasounds and in cases like this, life-saving care.
They also offer assistance to the mom who feels trapped, terrified, back against the wall, alone.
They offer care for up to two years after the baby is born.
You're not just saving babies, you're saving women as well.
You're saving women from a lifetime of regret.
They've saved already
58,000 babies last year because of people like you just making a $28 donation.
You can donate anything.
$5 or $5,000, $5,000 will sponsor the entire network in the country for 24 hours.
You could help rescue 200 babies in 24 hours.

Mr.
Mike Pompeo, welcome back to the program, sir.
How are you?
Good.
It's great to be back with you.
It's always a blessing to have some time to chat with you and the folks that listen to your show.
Thank you very much.
Now, Mike, I want you to know, I'm a little skeptical of the FBI, Justice Department, and everything that's going on,
but I really want to understand
not only the threat that we're facing, but more importantly, what is going to stop this out-of-control government from spying on regular Americans?
Well, Glenn, two thoughts.
First, I know you're going to have Senator Leon.
He and I just have a different judgment about this.
I have enormous respect for him.
I consider him a friend.
I've campaigned with him and continue to do so.
But separate from that, let's just kind of walk through where I think we are.
First, you should have more than a little skepticism about the FBI.
and the power of government more broadly.
It's why I ran for Congress the first time.
The awesome power of government was being misused, mostly against conservatives, people like you and me and the folks who are, most of the folks who are listening to this.
I also had first-hand experience trying to do the job to keep
Islamist radicals from killing Americans.
And so I was always trying to be respectful of that duty.
and deeply honoring of the Constitution to get there.
And I think today what the House of Representatives is considering accomplishes that as best one can.
Look, there's always going to be Jim Comey's of the world and Jim McCain's until you get the right leadership.
Those are the kind of people who may be in charge and we ought to punish them when they violate the law.
But we ought to do so with a set of rules that make sure that we don't have kids in Phoenix or Milwaukee or Wichita, Kansas, my hometown, at risk from terror.
And I think the reforms that they're voting on today move us in the right direction there and hopefully will put in harsher, they put in harsher criminal penalties.
I hope they'll be enforced.
They reduce the number of people who can have access to any American's information.
I hope those rules will be enforced.
And then I pray that we will continue to do the hard work to keep terrorism at bay as well.
So with a lot of respect to you, and
I'm not
in which it's intended and not to compare anybody or anything to these times, but we are looking at...
We're looking at terrorism, and I believe it is coming.
And I believe, God forbid, it's something more like Beslin than anything else we've seen.
And,
you know, when you're talking about saving the Republic and saving people, it is a very thin line.
The Knight of Long Knives,
Hitler knew he had violated the Constitution.
He had another reason for doing it, but he came out and said, look, the Republic was at stake.
And if I had to do it all over again and violate the Constitution, I'd do it again.
And you may decide that I shouldn't be in office.
I mean, he took a very, very,
you know,
wonderful stance on, you know, being the savior of the republic.
Well, what happened is they just agreed with him and congratulated him and actually gave him, you know, a higher position.
You can't violate the Constitution
to save the Republic.
If you violate the Constitution, you are harming the public.
The reason why I
say this with a knight of long knives is who went to jail?
The people who were lying to the FISA courts, they were promoted.
They weren't fired.
They weren't jailed.
So we can have all of these laws you want and all of these things in the new bill.
But if you don't have people who are going to enforce it, it doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
Does it?
Glenn, I completely agree with you.
And in some ways, that makes my point.
Imagine that we don't renew FISA for a moment.
You think you're going to stop bad actors?
So imagine you don't enhance the criminal penalties and you give free access.
By the way, if there's no FISA reform, we won't reduce the number of people with access.
They'll just go do that.
And so my view has always been, you know, put transparency in wherever you can.
Put checks and balances, just like the framers, just like the Constitution talked about.
So this bill would give Congress oversight.
It makes
a little bit in the weeds.
It gives Congress transparency in a way it doesn't have.
Look, none of this will be perfect, Glenn.
Without the right people in power, you're exactly right.
They get MSNBC contracts instead of prison time, folks like McCabe and Comey.
I came at this as a libertarian when I first entered public service.
I know the awesome power and fear U.S.
government overreach.
I think this set of reforms puts a set of provisions in place that are in fact constitutional.
And then the question is, will the people enforce those rules in a way way that protects our privacy and preserves our Constitution?
That's the question we faced in November, Glenn, whether this provision passes today or not.
So tell me why the push for this without saying that the American people, if you go into the American people, you have to have a warrant.
And, you know, and people are like, well, it's not going to be a problem.
Then why did Congress have a carve-out in this bill to protect them from warrantless searches, but not me?
First of all, first of all, sign me up for no carve-outs for any member of Congress for anything, having served for, what, six years?
You see this a lot of places.
I don't know the history.
I got in there.
Take it out.
Every American should be treated precisely the same with respect to government power, especially with respect to government power.
So I think that's an enormous mistake.
The warrant requirement itself doesn't fit the purpose of what is really
at the heart of 702.
Remember what this does.
It is a provision that allows the U.S.
government to go chase bad guys on foreign soil.
That's 99.9% of its activity.
It's true, Glenn.
If I pick up the phone and call a terrorist today, it's going to capture my data as well.
And the idea is, how do you anonymize, how do you minimize, how do you throw that data out so you protect that?
And these provisions try to do that, Glenn.
It's never perfect.
I could go through a list of one solution that's not perfect.
It's law today.
But if you ask, is this materially better than where we sit today?
And does it still preserve the capacity to protect families?
I think on balance, this is a win.
It preserves our constitutional rights so long as we have the right people there.
And Glenn, you know, we have to be honest, if you have the wrong people there, there's no law, whether you pass
a law that's going to protect those rights.
And so that's the conundrum that we face as a republic.
And I've watched what happened from the IRS while I was in Congress where they came after conservatives.
I've watched what's happened to DHS, where they're not preserving our border, our basic constitutional freedom and sovereignty.
I think we ought to pass this legislation, and then we ought to get the right people there, and we ought to punish like hell anyone who violates not only these provisions, but any part of the United States statutory law or its constitution.
So tell me,
what's the teeth in this?
There are six additions to
teeth, if you will.
The first one I describe briefly, which is we have these FISA courts.
They're secret courts.
This will transcribe those proceedings and give Congress the ability to read the transcripts of those proceedings.
Second, there are far too many people with their hands with access to not only the foreign data, but any
ancillary American data that gets picked up.
This takes out about 90% of the human beings and puts additional executive branch oversight into that as well.
And then it ups the criminal penalties, a handful of criminal penalties.
That is go to jail, no BS penalties.
You got to have an attorney general that's going to enforce it.
That's true for everything, Glenn.
I hope we'll get the right attorney general who will not only go after someone who does it tomorrow, but will chase those folks who did this in the past to President Trump and to others in the administration.
Mike, can you give me a reason why
the
bill
to get the carve-outs out
and to require any American that is caught up in this that they have to go back to the court and get a warrant for those people.
Can you tell me why so many Republicans and Democrats didn't want that in the bill at all?
It doesn't make sense.
The carve-out provision, I can't.
I have no articulable reason.
I'm signing up for not being able to understand that.
Second, when it comes to the warrant provision,
be a little careful here.
When it comes to the warrant provision, I hope the American people will appreciate that
the law, whether it's enforced or not is a separate question, but the law itself provides adequate protection for Americans who come up against this.
And I wish I could say more, but I'll speak.
Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
It didn't with Donald Trump.
No, well, the law, had it been enforced, actually would have provided that, Glenn.
Had the Attorney General enforced the provisions, again,
you can't stop bad actors, but it would have punished those very bad actors.
And all the things that happened in Crossfire Hurricane, which I think is what you're largely referring to,
all the things that happened in Crossfire Hurricane were unlawful.
They violated both civil and criminal penalties.
And the challenge was you had bad actors and an attorney general who infused to enforce that against a Republican conservative president.
When you say that there are significant penalties, like what kind of jail time
would people be looking at if they violated the Fourth Amendment right of a citizen of America?
Do you know?
Intentional violations, yeah, I do.
I do, Glenn.
I don't know the exact number, but it is a decade plus for intentional violation and years for anybody who violated, but intent becomes difficult to prove.
So, real jail time for real bad actors.
And then, second, Glenn, the other thing it does is it holds responsible their bosses, the leadership inside these organizations as well.
If there are failures that they should have reasonably known were taking place and they didn't put in internal policies to prevent that, it holds those people responsible too.
So not just the bad actor who goes in to look for their girlfriend's cell phone contact information, but it holds responsible the supervisors, the bosses, the senior leaders at the FBI and at the Justice Department.
who are responsible for not holding accountable the people that work for them as well.
Mike, you're in a tough position.
I mean, we all are.
We all are because you're right.
We could pass any law.
America's in a tough place, but I agree.
Yeah.
How real
is the
threat from the inside of, you know, from Iran and everything else?
How real is the threat today?
Very real.
I don't, I try not to be hyperbolic, not around every corner, but you now have
multiple countries, Iran, Russia, the Chinese Communist Party, certainly all the terror groups, al-Qaeda and the like, all who have free and ready access inside of our borders today because President Biden has encouraged unlawful immigration.
We now have hundreds of thousands of potential terrorists inside the gates, and we know we have a couple of hundred that we've identified on the terror watch list already.
This risk is serious, and we ought to be serious in making sure we respond to it.
Are we
do you have confidence that if something happens, we're not going to be, you know,
going after
MAGA people because they're also terrorists and, you know, and people who spoke out at the school board?
Uh, I don't have confidence with Attorney General Garland there.
Uh, I've watched him talk about extremists in the Catholic Church, watched them talk about extremists inside of our military in ways that are fundamentally disconnected from reality.
I worry about the leadership, right?
Decision-making leadership.
There's, there's no doubt about that.
I don't know what law one passes, Glenn, to stop that.
I wish I thought there was a piece of legislation or some brilliant idea, but our founders knew how to get at this.
Our founders knew that if with enough transparency and enough checks and balances and then an educated republic that was prepared to go out and do their duty and vote for good leaders, you increase the likelihood that our republic would survive another 250 years.
I am deeply worried about it, Glenn.
Mike, thank you so much.
Thanks for a civil conversation on this.
I appreciate it.
God bless.
Yes, sir.
You bet it, Clenn.
Have a great weekend, sir.
You bet.
Mike Pompeo, former U.S.
Secretary of State, former CIA director, back in just a minute.
Mike Lee is going to take the other side here in a second.
I don't think it's going to happen to me.
That's what everybody says every day.
It's not going to happen to me.
It's not going to happen.
It's not going to happen.
Just not going to happen.
Well, when it comes to breaking into your house, almost 5,000 people every day are wrong.

So I don't, I mean,
he's right.
Things are coming.
Things are coming.
But
I am just
I'm at the point where I just cannot give this government more power.
I just can't.
I can't continue to give them the power.
For instance,
if I were president of the United States and we had control of the Congress and I could make a good enough case, my gut would be, shut the damn thing down, all of it.
You're all fired.
We're going to start rehiring tomorrow.
You're all fired.
I would shut all of this stuff down because it's corrupt to the core.
Have you thought about turning it on and off
and just restoring it to factory settings?
How about that?
That's what needs to be done.
But everybody's got a reason why we can't do it.
And those reasons are real.
We've got to have this tool.
Well, you've abused that tool.
And you've never been punished.
You know who we are, the American people?
We're the worst parents ever.
Our kids, we keep telling them, don't do it.
And then we vote for them again.
When they do it, they don't believe us.
They don't believe us.
They don't believe that there's any consequence for their actions, not because
of
Garland, but because of us.
Look at the hell our country is going through right now.
Look at the price of your groceries, the price of gas.
Look how unsafe your community is if you live in any big city.
Look at our borders.
Look at your jobs.
And half the country is like, yeah, I'm okay with that.
I'm okay with that.
Sure.
No, no, no.
It's better than the other.
Better than the.
Excuse me?
Better than the other?
How exactly?
How exactly?
These people have told you
they are going to reset everything.
and get away from capitalism.
They've told you this.
And somehow or another, we're going to reward them with another four years.
They're violating your basic rights.
Ah, that's all right.
Glenn back.
Now imagine pizza without any toppings.

Imagine ice cream.
A cone without a second scoop.
Gosh, this is depressing.
Now imagine your dog's food without any nutrition because unfortunately if you're feeding him or her kibble food that's pretty much what they're getting every time you fill the bowl
kibble food has to have a long shelf life so it has to have everything alive cooked out of it though that that stuff is really important for your dog's nutrition he needs the nutritional value of of what they just cooked out you can put it back by sprinkling a little bit of rough greens on your dog's food.

Welcome to the Glenbeck program.
Mike Lee joins us now from the other side.
Mike Pompeo is just on.
We had a great conversation.
I disagree with him on what needs to be done, but I think his heart is in the right place.
Mike Lee is joining us now.
He just tweeted last night, the firm, as he likes to call it,
the collection of those who are running the show in Washington, D.C., will say that if FISA 702 expires on April 19th, all 702 collection, including that directed at dangerous foreign adversaries, will immediately cease.
Mike says that's not true.
Mike?
It's not true.
In fact, they put in place language that would keep FISA 702 collection going
for 365 days
after the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court just recently in the last week or so recertified the 702 collection program.
There's statutory language put in place first at the end of 2018 and then in December against my objection,
making that clear that once they issue this certification, even if FISA 702
lapses, even if it expires, it can still continue for the duration of the one-year certification that's now just in the last week or so been issued by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.
So, look, on so many levels, the fear-mongering, the scare tactics of the intelligence community and those allied with them in Congress have proven to be just not accurate, and this is yet another one.
My point is, why don't we take the time that we need to make sure that we adequately debate issues so important to the American people and so important to our civil liberties, like the need to get a warrant?
The debate is over on that one, isn't it, Mike?
I mean, I thought we had that debate
during the Constitutional Convention.
We had that debate.
Why are we debating that?
That's right.
People are constantly talking up here as if,
well, we've got to carefully balance the competing interests here.
Well, sometimes that's the case, but sometimes we settled that one in 1791, and that was the compromise.
The Fourth Amendment was the compromise.
And you're undertaking what are tantamount to warrantless searches of the American people.
It's not too much to ask.
Just tell them to get a warrant.
Mike,
last night,
you know, Mike Johnson came out and he says, well, I, you know, now that I'm Speaker, I saw all of the information, but he also said every congressman should go up to the skiff and get the briefing that I just got.
So I don't know why he didn't get it before.
But he says, you know,
we're facing some really bad things.
And so so we just have to pass this.
And I think it's true.
We are facing some really bad things.
We're on the eve of war in the Middle East.
We're on the eve of war.
Russia is interrogating NATO for finding
that
we were funding terrorism in Russia.
Our currency is in trouble.
Our spending is out of control.
Citizens are under attack,
not just with regulation, but the FBI is calling them terrorists terrorists themselves.
FBI is out of control, and there are terrorists that have come across the border.
So it is going to happen.
All of this stuff is bad.
At this point, it's like, why would you violate the Second Amendment when the cities are more dangerous than ever?
Why would you disarm the American people from protecting themselves?
If there is a terror attack, why would you take away their right to have a warrant
sworn out so you just don't investigate political foes?
Yeah, look, first of all, we always have to remember that the government itself is subject to the Constitution.
The Constitution exists not just for the sunny days.
The Constitution also exists.
It exists especially for the rainy days, for the days when we're under attack.
That's when it makes difference.
And so it's not at odds.
Our Fourth Amendment rights are not at odds with our security because our Fourth Amendment rights are part of our security.
We're not truly secure unless we are protected by government abuse.
It's really not too much to ask to suggest that they get a warrant.
And, you know, look,
I like Secretary Pompeo.
He's a friend, and I've appreciated his support and his insights in the past.
I do very, very respectfully, but also very forcefully, disagree with some of the arguments that he made just moments ago.
Among other things,
he acknowledged that 99% of this stuff, of this collection under Section 702, is against foreign operators outside the United States, foreign adversaries not on U.S.
soil.
That is as it should be.
Look, Pfizer 702 has a reason to exist, and it's for that reason to go after foreign adversaries on foreign soil, not Americans here on U.S.
soil.
And so if 99% of it is that, why don't we bank the win and preserve the Constitution?
Why on earth are we ready to flush the Fourth Amendment out
just for the sake of that 1%?
Moreover,
If I understood him correctly, he seemed to be suggesting that those of us arguing for a warrant requirement and those of us raising concerns with FISA 702
somehow are demanding that they go through and purge all the incidentally collected information
from Americans.
You know, somebody talks to somebody overseas, unbeknownst to them, it's an agent of a foreign power, they get collected.
It's really not what we're saying.
We're just saying before you query a U.S.
person, before you search within the database for the communications of an American citizen that were inadvertently or
collected incidentally under FISA 702, that you have to get a warrant for that.
Now, that's just not too much to ask.
And they act as if that's an incredible lift, a Herculean effort, one that we couldn't possibly undertake, and one that's going to usher in Armageddon if they have to comply.
Well, but we
play.
Let me
play Devil's Advocate.
But, Mike, we can't really ask for a warrant because all we have is a name.
We don't know the connection other than he's talking to him.
So, how do I go in front of a judge and say, well, this American was calling this guy, so
we need to look at everything about this person.
Is that enough for the judge?
Well, look, by that same logic,
you couldn't get a warrant unless
getting a warrant doesn't require absolute proof.
It requires probable cause.
And if you can put together a combination of
factors that put together create probable cause of something occurring, of criminal activity, then you can get a warrant.
You've got to describe with particularity
what it is that you're going after, the places, papers, things, effects that are going to be searched,
their locations, and then you go after it.
It's not an insurmountable standard, but it is a standard and we ought to follow it.
Mike,
why did Congress put a carve-out for them if there's nothing to worry about here?
Yeah, this is an excellent point.
They put a carve-out for them because
we know of at least one member of the House and of at least one member of the Senate who have been subjected to warrantless backdoor searches under the FISA 702 database.
So that's why they did it.
There are a couple of things wrong with that.
Number one, as I think you're alluding to,
if it's concerning enough that
we are being targeted, why shouldn't we have
at least as much concern with regard to American citizens generally?
In the second place, when you look really closely at that language, creating a reporting requirement for FISA 702 searches carried out against members of Congress, if I'm reading it correctly, and I think I am,
really what they're saying is that they have to report in most instances, unless all they're doing is
doing that search to conduct a defensive briefing to let somebody know that their name is coming up in some of these conversations,
That in most circumstances, all they're going to have to do is report to the law firm of Schumer, McConnell, Johnson and Jeffries, and then the Republican and Democratic heads of the intelligence oversight committees in both houses, which, by the way, tend to be pretty darn aligned with the intelligence community agencies.
I don't know what good that's going to do.
In some ways, that just blesses the possibility that they could conduct these searches against most members of Congress most of the time.
I don't think even members of Congress should take any solace in that, but they certainly shouldn't take any solace in knowing that they themselves might get notice in some cases, but their constituents are left hung out to dry.
As for the suggestion that we've created these criminal penalties for misuse of FISO, okay, let's think that through, Glenn.
If, in fact, you have that crime committed, somebody from the FBI misuses the FISA 702 database and they're subject to criminal penalties.
Who enforces that?
If only there were a federal agency that investigated and suggested prosecution of federal crimes, who would that be?
Oh, wait, that's FBI.
So, in how many instances are you going to have the FBI prosecuting people within the FBI?
We've seen how well that works out in some circumstances where flagrant abuses have happened within FBI.
We know that doesn't work.
That's why we have a special crimes unit that is supposed to be separate from your police that goes in and investigates the police.
You can't have the police investigating the police.
Correct.
And the FBI doesn't have the best track record when it comes to these and so many other abuses.
But the bottom line here, Glenn, is that we don't have to get rid of FISA 72.
I don't want to get rid of it.
I think it's good that we have access to tools that help us keep tabs on foreign adversaries operating outside the United States.
We need that.
By Mike Pompeo's own account, that's where 99% of this collection happens.
We're not even saying that that has to go away, that has to be paired back.
We're just saying, with respect to
what he describes, I don't know whether it is, in fact, this, but what he seems to suggest is only 1%.
With regard to that 1%, if you want to search for a U.S.
person, get a warrant.
This is going to be decided today in the House, correct?
They'll be voting on it in about an hour or two at the most.
Mike, thank you for keeping us up to speed, and thanks for all that you do.
Appreciate it.
God bless.
Thanks so much, bud.
You bet.
Mike Lee, the senator from Utah, listen, they are going to be voting in an hour.
Do you care?
Do you think your voice matters anymore?
Because I know it does.
You need to call your member of Congress and say, what the hell are you even thinking?
This does not expire for another another 365 days.
Why are you panicking the whole world and telling us we got to do this right now, otherwise?
No, it doesn't.
No, it doesn't.
365 days.
You have to
get your crap together, make this so it doesn't violate the Fourth Amendment while they're still investigating.
Why?
Why the panic?
Why is everything a panic in Washington?
Because they know fear,
fear paralyzes you.
Have no fear.
We know who the bad guys are.
We know what's coming.
We know who's fighting against it and who's fighting for it.
Call your congressmen.
Let them know.
This doesn't expire actually
for another 365 days.
And guess what?
There's an election between now and then.
And we'll be watching how my congressman, your congressman, vote on this.
Because there's no reason to approve it today.
It does not protect me.
It protects you people, but it does not protect me.
Politely, calmly, kindly
call
Congress now.
They vote in 90 minutes.
All right, the government's doing everything they can.
I've had another story I don't know if I'm going to get to today about Joe Biden saying, you know, I will
take more unilateral guns, unilateral action to take away any kind of, you know,
black, scary weapon.
An assault rifle.
I don't even know what that is, but he's going to get them.
You need to be able to protect yourself in these times.
And even if you're afraid of guns, this is not a gun.
It looks like one, but it's not a gun.
It's a less than lethal alternative.
This is legal in all 50 states.
You don't need a permit.
You don't need a background check.
It can be used by all age groups over 18.
If you live in California or Washington, D.C., well, forget it if you live in Washington, D.C.
You live someplace where you can't carry a gun.
I don't know why you haven't called Burna yet.
Burna is a way for you to protect yourself.
Again, legal in all 50 states.
You don't need a permit.
You don't need a background check.
Nothing.
You just have to be over 18.
And it has kinetic rounds in it, and it also has tear gas, not pepper spray, tear gas.
One shot can incapacitate an attacker for 40 minutes.

Eczema isn't always obvious, but it's real.
And so is the relief from EBGLIS.
After an initial dosing phase, about four in ten people taking EBGLIS achieved itch relief and clear or almost clear skin at 16 weeks.
And most of those people maintain skin that's still more clear at one year with monthly dosing.
EBGLIS Labrichizumab LBKZ, a 250 milligram per 2 milliliter injection, is a prescription medicine used to treat adults and children 12 years of age and older who weigh at least 88 pounds or 40 kilograms with moderate to severe eczema.
Also called atopic dermatitis that is not well controlled with prescription therapies used on the skin or topicals or who cannot use topical therapies.
Ebglis can be used with or without topical corticosteroids.
Don't use if you're allergic to EBGLIS.
Allergic reactions can occur that can be severe.
Eye problems can occur.

Welcome to the Glenbeck program.
There's a couple of things that I really, uh, would, would really like you to do.
One, and I'm, this is not a commercial.
I'm not making money on it.
I have no connection to it.
The people who did it probably hate my guts.
I don't care.
But Audible
is running 1984.
This is a new piece.
There's lots of them on Audible, but the newest one is really good.
And I just want you to listen, you know, listen to the whole thing because it's amazing, but just listen to part one and part two.
If you listen to part one and part two, it'll take you 30 minutes.
And you listen with an open mind on, I don't care who you voted for.
On are any of these things happening in our society today.
You,
it is, you'll be blown away.
You will be blown away at how it is exact parallel to today.
And that should concern every single American.
Also, there's a great article by Michael Schellenberger that you should read this weekend.
It's part of the Glenbeck
show prep today.
You can get it at Glenbeck.com.
But just search for Socialist Strategy Behind Brazilian President Lula's War on Free Speech by by Michael Schellenberger.
It is eye-opening.
The Glenn Beck Program.
To compromise,
we're gonna stay together.
And if we're gonna survive,
stand up straight
and hold the line.
It's a new day, a time to ride.
Welcome to the fusion
of entertainment and enlightenment.
This is the Glenn Beck program.
You know,
I have sat in this chair for many, many years, at least two decades, with
a monitor, a big monitor in front of me that has all of the news networks on it.
And I have CNN in one corner, Fox News, CNBC, and MSNBC.
And I look at them and
almost, I mean, with an exception of maybe one being out of step with the others, they're almost always the same lead headlines.
Okay.
Just looked up a minute ago.
First one, hush money trial.
Second one, inflation disinformation.
Third one, Iranian attack.
imminent
uh
and the other one was government spending out of control.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Looks like we have a lot of issues going on.
Lots of them.
Lots of them.
Probably the most pressing for this weekend is a possible Iranian strike, terrorist attacks.
And
your budget.
Your money.
Your future of making money, the future for your children,
what's happening to our society, and I mean the entire West, when it comes to capital, when it comes to doing business and having money.
They are slowly bleeding people dry.
Carol Roth joins me in 60 seconds to give you the update on this.
You know, I'm a doctor, right?
I mean,
I'm not a doctor.
I'm not any old doctor.
I'm a doctor of humanities, which I'm pretty sure means anything involving the human condition, I can answer.
So I have the answer for you.
I mean, I am an expert.
I'm a doctor, man.
Damn it.
The best practices when it comes to buying or selling a house, does that involve humans?
Yes, doctorate in humanities.
That's why I can help you with that, realestate agentsitrust.com.
It's one, it's not just any old real estate, it's one you can trust.
And you can trust me because I'm a doctor.
I started a company over a decade ago with my brother.
It's realestateagentsitrust.com because honestly, I didn't know what I was doing.
It was before I was a doctor.
I didn't know what I was doing.
And I was sick and tired of, I don't know who a good real estate is.
How do you find them?
Well, I like to get my recommendations from bus boards.
I think when it's got that smiling face on there and they're like, hey, call us, you're selling your house.
I think that's the best way to go for it.
Realestateagentsitrust.com doesn't do it that way.
We actually vet all of these people, monitor all of these people, see and get customer responses to make sure they are using the best practices, they're actually listening to people, and they're some of the best in your area.
Realestateagentsitrust.com, just tell us where you're buying or selling, whether it's across the street or across the country, and we'll help you find the right real estate agent, usually in just a few minutes.
So it's RealEstateAgents I Trust.com, RealEstateAgents ITrust.com.
Carol Roth, I know we have a lot to talk about.
So just quickly,
I woke up this morning looking at gold prices and was kind of
impressed on how they're skyrocketing.
And I remember a conversation with a gold guy who said, don't ever, ever
look at gold and say, gee, I hope it goes up because of my portfolio.
And we were talking about $3,000 an ounce.
And he said, do you realize how crazy the world has to be for gold to be at $3,000 an ounce?
It's over 2,400 now.
We're headed there quickly.
Yes, I remember a discussion that you and I had with a group of people, I believe in November of last year, when people were saying a similar thing.
When is gold going to break out?
And you and I were both communicating the idea that gold is really a hedge against all kinds of insanity, things like inflation, things like the crumbling standing of the dollar, things like war.
And so when you see that gold continues to rise, even in the face of things like rising yields on bonds, I mean, normally there's a little bit of pushback there.
We saw that as bond yields had gone up, people were moving away from gold because you weren't getting that same interest rate.
Gold doesn't produce an interest rate.
So there's a different reason
why we are looking at gold.
And some of the things that we're talking about are a bit more structural, Perhaps gold playing a bigger role in things like settling international commodities, trades, and trading between countries,
particularly the BRICS nations.
But again, all of the things that are these signals, none of them are good for us here in the United States.
If the signal is, oh, well, it's just because of trade, well, that's not good for the U.S.
dollars reserve currency, and that's not good for inflation over the long term and our purchasing power.
So all of these things do have a mechanism.
And when you see
so much interest in gold over the past few months, when it has been very steady for a while, that breakout is giving you additional information.
And like you said, in this particular case, I think that information is coming from lots of different places.
And not one of them is good.
One of them that is, you know,
we're hitting the point where
our debt, the interest on our debt, is going to be $1.6 trillion a year.
That's more than Social Security.
It's the biggest lie.
It will be the top line on our budget now is just the interest because we have an adjustable mortgage in America.
And
the Fed, I think, is out of bullets.
Yeah, I've been making this argument now for a couple of years that the Fed's monetary policy isn't effective because they are trying to control demand.
And so many of the issues that we've had are on the supply side.
Additionally, we had been headed, and I kind of think we're in today, this period of fiscal dominance.
And as we've talked about before, that just means that fiscal policy plays a bigger role in what is
determining economic outcomes.
than monetary policy.
On its face, that is sort of neutral fiscal dominance, but in our particular situation, it's very bad.
It's because of the debt.
It's because of the deficits.
And it's because of the fact that we have these massive interest payments and continuing deficits that need to be financed and are creating this vicious loop.
And as we know,
there's not a lot of ways to finance the debt.
There certainly are not a lot of buyers.
And we saw that this week.
There was a treasury auction for 10-year treasury notes that did horribly.
It was rated a D by Brooks Santelli at CNBC, who's very, very smart.
D, by the way, I don't know if you know this, is right next to F.
So that is a very bad position to be in.
And we've always been AAA, haven't we?
Were we always
The debt, so there's a debt rating, and that's done by the rating agencies.
These are the bond auctions.
This is when the treasury goes out to the market and says, you know, how is it that, you know, how did we do?
How many buyers were there who were standing on by who want to buy our debts?
Okay.
And so this happens on a regular basis.
And, you know, people who watch this, they give those auctions a grade to say, how did we do?
Were there a lot of buyers?
Were there not a lot of buyers?
So this particular time, there were not a lot of buyers.
And the banks and securities dealers had to sop up a lot of that debt, which just is, you know, it's pushing us to this path of monetization again that we've been talking about.
And that means that we're buying buying our own debt, and that is inflationary.
So, even if we're not getting things like rate cuts that potentially could stoke inflation, you're going to get this monetization of debt, which is inflationary, which is why I've been arguing that inflation is sticky, and it doesn't matter if the Fed goes high or low.
It's getting us on either side until the government gets its act together.
They are driving the show.
It is that fiscal dominance.
Tell me about the consumer price index and the
wholesale index.
The numbers don't make sense.
For instance,
fuel is not an inflation, it isn't in inflation right now.
Look at the price of fuel.
What do they mean?
So, you know who loves the data coming out of the government right now, Glenn?
The government.
Oscar the Grouch.
You know why?
Because the data is trash.
It is absolutely trash data.
Not only have we seen adjustments on a regular basis, the scope of which we have not seen in a long time.
The numbers always get adjusted, but we have not seen these massive adjustments that we've been seeing.
We also have a phenomenon where people and entities who respond to the surveys where they collect the data don't want to do that anymore.
Either they don't want to be bothered, they don't trust the government with their data, whatever it is, they don't want to give up their competitive advantages so they're having fewer people respond to these surveys which means that that there is more of this projection and biases in the survey so that's why we saw you know this the cpi which is the consumer price index that's where they go out and they survey households that came in higher than expected we all expected that it would be an uptick because as you said, we know the price of oil and other commodities have been going up.
So this was not a surprise to any of us who live in the real world.
And so that was somewhat reflected in that data.
And certainly the market had reacted to that and said, oh, well, if that's the case, the Fed can't cut.
Then we have another measure of inflation because they measure it in different ways.
And this is the Producer Price Index PPI, which is the wholesale measure of inflation.
And this is supposed to tell you what's coming because the inputs that go into your goods and services give you a sense of what's coming down the pike and this was the one that was the head scratcher because it was not higher there's a huge disconnect between these two measures always but even a bigger disconnect but the one as you said that everybody was going what's going on here related to energy So there was a on floating around social media yesterday, there was a chart about the seasonal adjustments.
Again, this manipulation of the data that they do.
And if you looked at that, it showed you that gasoline for the month was down 3.6%, I think it was.
But if you didn't...
Right.
So if you didn't seasonally adjust it, it would have been up 6.3%.
That's a really big swing.
That's like a 10% swing between the two of them.
So again, Oscar the Grouch data here.
Certainly we're going to get another measure in a couple of weeks here, one called the PCE, the Personal consumptions expenditures index this is the fed's quote-unquote favored measure i don't know maybe they like the people who do it better it's a little bit more broad but that's what they tend to make their policy decisions on but the media and everybody's focused on the cpi so it makes it very difficult for them or at least adds another layer of difficulty because they're going to do whatever it is that they want to do when that is going up for them to say well inflation's under control you know we can go ahead and start to cut interest rates, which is why I think everybody needs to be paying attention to their other tools, which relate to the balance sheet and debt and what they're going to do there, because that's just a different way for them to be accommodative.
They're not going to do anything.
I mean, he's not addressing inflation.
Biden is spending more.
He's now, you know, again, forgiving more debt.
trying to get people into houses.
I mean, he is,
we are just giving away away the store at this point.
He, they are, they are, we've been saying this since day one.
They have been working in the opposite direction.
If you wanted to help the Fed get inflation under control as the government, you should have been working with them.
You should not have been running up deficits.
You've been doing putting into place policies that help supply issues instead of hurting supply issues.
Every single thing this administration has done has been a barrier not only to you keeping your wealth and your purchasing power, but what it is the Fed has been doing.
And that's the fight that the Fed's been having.
And I just think at some point they're going to need to be real explicit and say, we can't do anything until our partners get on the same page.
But everything's political.
So
that's not going to happen.
All right.
When we come back,
she's actually been invited to be
somebody who testifies in front of Congress.
Carol Roth in front of Congress testifying as an expert by the end of the month on small businesses.
And she's going to be talking about the FinCEN
thing that's going on with LLCs and small businesses where you have to register all this information or you're a criminal.
And it's going to devastate small businesses, small LLCs, et cetera.
And it affects so many people.
She's going to be testifying.
But here's the good news: she wants to use information that maybe you have
to back up her testimony.
And we'll talk about that in 60 seconds.
First, ever since 9-11, the Tunnel Towers Foundation has been helping America's greatest heroes and their families.
And you can join them on their mission to do good by supporting the families of America's greatest heroes, the families of fallen first responders, the Gold Star families with young children, catastrophically injured service members, and homeless veterans.
I cannot believe we live in a country that is doing what we're doing with illegals and we have homeless veterans.
They're providing mortgage-free homes to these people, some of them specially adapted for the needs of catastrophically injured veterans, and they're working tirelessly every day to eliminate homelessness among veterans.
This is an organization respected by and donated to by many of
their own people in and out of uniform.
David Marshall, he served in the Army during World War II.
He fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
He's never forgotten the sacrifice of his comrades in arms, nor the efforts of the first responders on 9-11 or the days and the months that followed.
He is a loyal and proud foundation donor.
More than 95 cents of every dollar you donate goes to Tunnel to Towers to its programs.
So they're not spending it on limousines and everything else.
Donate $11 a month to tunnel to towers at t2t.org.
That's t the number
10 seconds station id
now i think our banks are fine everything's doing really well uh just a quick update the at t tower in st.
Louis uh
went for uh $3.55 million.
That's a good solid $2 a square foot.
Sold for $3 million.
It was sold for over $205 million
just about 15 years ago.
So, no, there's nothing to see here.
Nothing to see here.
Carol, let's talk about small business.
Yes.
Take me through, again, in case people don't know what FinCEN is and what they're now requiring people to do.
This is the criminal arm of the treasury.
And they're asking everybody who has an LLC or a small business to register.
Yes.
So this is called the CTA BOI rule.
And basically, what it said, and this was passed by Congress,
was vetoed by President Trump, and then they went back and Congress overturned the veto and gave this arm of the treasury, which is charged with preventing financial crimes,
sort of free reign.
And they said, okay, we're going to create a database.
And if you have any sort of entity, if you have an LLC, even a single-member LLC, an S-Corp, a C-Corp, any sort of entity, and you're a business, you need to register with us
the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network because we want to prevent money laundering and cartels.
And of course, you know, I'm sure all of those people are going to self-report, but they exempted all the best cartels do.
Yeah, all that, they all do.
They're like, well, you know, we're going to do these things, but we're going to make sure that FinCEN gets our information.
But they exempted all the big businesses.
So this is unfairly targeting small businesses.
So the updates, a few things are what are happening, and we can certainly go more into this, is that I have been invited by the House Small Business Committee to be an expert to testify and, you know, obviously testify against this and how bad this is for small businesses and how unconstitutional at the end of the month.
What I am doing is I am bringing statements from small business owners because it's great to hear my statement, but if I can show up there and say I have a hundred or 200 small businesses and here's what they have to say about this and they're all outraged, that holds a lot more weight.
So anyone who owns a small business, if you support small business, go to carolroth.com slash CTA.
That's carolroth.com slash CharliTango Alpha.
And I've made it really easy.
I've given a form letter that if you want, you can borrow some of it.
You can borrow all of it.
You can borrow none of it.
But I'm going to show up at Congress with this stack from from small business owners to say, you've heard what I have to say.
Now listen to what small business owners from across the nation have to say to try to get them to overturn this.
Now, can I
could I, because I, I mean, I, I'm, today's not the day for me to write something.
Yes.
Uh, because I'm in a very bad mood, but I could, uh, could I just write to you and say, yeah, here's what I'd like to say to Congress.
I'm working my ass off so I can keep my family afloat and the families of all my employees.
And
you guys are just making my life more and more difficult with more and more restrictions and
guidelines that nobody in Congress passed and are not good for the American people.
I've had it.
Please do.
Again, Carol Roth.com slash CTA.
Please do that.
And I actually think being in a bad mood is a good time to write it because that's when you're going to be honest and that's when you're not going to torment.
I'll write today.
I'll write today then.
Yeah.
So,
and speaking of helping, so one of the things that you did that was very generous, Glenn, is you offered to put forth a lawsuit, and I agreed.
We cannot do that because we have been outspoken.
But the good news is, is that there are two new lawsuits against us that have also popped up.
So, we have a lot of really good momentum.
Okay.
And appreciative to you for all of your help.
Okay.
So, give me the address again.
It's carolroth.com/slash CTA, correct?
Correct.
Okay.
Roth.com/slash CTA.
If you're a small business owner, go ahead, vent a little bit.
You'll take it to Congress.
Thanks, Carol.
Glenn Beck.
When my pillow started out, they were really only after one thing, making an amazing, comfortable pillow that would bring people a great night's sleep.
Well, they accomplished that.
But they also pissed off a lot of people along the way.
And those people have decided to make this what was a small business at one point to put them out of business.
So
they made it so nobody can carry their commercials.
And I just quite honestly don't give a flying crap.
So we still take their commercials, but their commercials can't air on television, et cetera, et cetera.

All right, more in just a minute on where do we go from here.
Welcome to the Glenbeck program.
Last week, I saw Christopher Ruffo, who I greatly admire,
write and talk about something we don't need to even talk about.
But in that, he said, the right faces an inflection point.
There are serious people who are trying to advance a serious political movement with a vision for governing.
There are also unserious people who are willing to sell KFABE and conspiracy, leading us nowhere.
I care about politics because I believe we have substantive work to do for the country.
This requires putting together a coalition that is capable of taking responsibility.
The choice is ours.
I responded to that,
and people, and I'm hoping Christopher didn't, but people thought that I was coming after Christopher and I wasn't.
I was really frustrated with he's right, but what does a serious option look like?
I said, I have great respect for Chris Ruffo.
He has done more to expose the rot than many of us combined.
But Chris, the only option I see that is viable is a return to the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
All of our problems stem from the violation of these documents.
Congress doesn't care, nor does it even attempt to do its job.
Every administration is worse than the last.
At this point, it is all-powerful.
Supreme Court has trouble defining a woman.
May God help us with them defining any of the amendments.
Our Justice Department, Intel, and every agency has been co-opted by radicals.
Those that believe in a constitutional republic are not the radicals.
There is another option.
Return to e pluribus unum, the Bill of Rights and Constitution.
So I wanted to get Christopher on
because I heard from so many people that we were warring.
And Christopher, I'm sorry if I led anybody of your friend circle to think that I would stand against you because I have such admiration for you.
Of course not.
No, I didn't take any offense to it.
And in fact, I found that we were actually in agreement.
So I'm glad we have a chance to talk in greater depth.
I mean, I think you diagnose the problem there perfectly.
But the question that I'm raising is: how do we get there?
What kind of coalition do we need?
What kind of intellectual leadership will we need?
And then what political leadership will we need?
And what I've noticed on the right, especially after the horrific 10-7 attacks against Jews in Israel, is that there has been a fragmentation.
And there are some people who are chasing conspiracy theories.
There's a rise, kind of resurgence on the outer fringes of some anti-Semitism on the right.
And then there are people who are elevating their profiles in media on conspiracy theories that lead nowhere, on kind of tabloid-style gossip that doesn't offer any concrete possibility.
And so I think we have a media problem, and we have, in addition, a leadership problem.
And when you say a media problem, you mean the right media.
Yes, yes, absolutely.
I just
think that if you look at kind of serious conservative media figures, and of course I would include you in this, you're always doing the reporting, the conversations, trying to guide people towards something that they can do, some legislation that politicians can pass, some policy that we can adopt, some kind of counterculture that we can build.
But I think given the dynamics of online media, advertising, audience building, and then just the dynamics of kind of general tech and media trends, some people are being
generously rewarded with clicks and attention who don't actually offer anything substantive.
And I think it gets some of our audience, some of our listeners, in this outrage cycle where they're outraged for outrage sake, but they have no, they're not being directed towards guiding that outrage towards something constructive.
And I've seen it.
It can really be damaging to people and it's certainly damaging to a political movement.
And I don't think it's a failure of the audience.
I think it's actually a failure of us in the media, in positions of authority, in positions of leadership.
You always have to guide people towards something that can make their lives better.
And if we're not doing that, we're taking advantage and we have to stop.
So I completely agree with you.
So what is, I mean, because we agree on the solution, and this is my point back back to you was I am very afraid of, you know, serious options because there is another split in the right
that
is willing to look at
extra-constitutional solutions.
And
that's really dangerous.
And starting to say, well, this constitution, maybe it's old and dusty, like the left has been saying.
No, no, no.
No.
All of our problems are solved by two things.
One, the people living a better life.
And I don't mean like you're making more money.
I mean you're a more decent, humble, and just better person.
Plus, the rule of law being restored as written.
So where do you see anybody coming up and really promoting that, Chris?
Well, I think that's exactly what we need to do.
And I've been very vocal.
There's a lot of frustration on the right.
There's a lot of anxiety.
But all of our problems can be solved through kind of normal,
peaceful, democratic means.
We still have a great system, but our system is atrophying because we aren't using that system.
And so I would point to the leadership of someone whom I admire very much, Governor Ron DeSantis in Florida.
He had the same legislature that Jeb Bush did.
He had the same state constitution.
And yet he's using power effectively within the law to make Florida a better state for people to live, work, and raise families.
And so I think we have to really discipline our own coalition.
We have to stop engaging in these kind of fantasies of extrajudicial or extra-parliamentary politics.
And we have to say, if we are going to be the conservative political party, the conservative political movement, we have to respect the documents and just be smarter, be more persistent, be more diligent in actually practicing politics.
And so there are models out there that are successful.
And I think we have another model of the kind of more, say, radical, kind of extra-constitutional model that is a dismal failure.
It's always been a dismal failure.
When the left did it in the late 1960s and early 1970s with those radical movements, the American people rejected them.
If the right does it at any time now or in the future, the people, the citizens will reject them.
It's a dead end.
And we need media figures that are kind of telling people to straighten out, to have self-discipline, to remind people of the constitutional principles that we're fighting for, and then to lay out a plausible plan.
Because people get desperate when they think they have no other options.
And so it's our responsibility to show them the concrete options,
not just spin out
into conspiracy land.
So,
Chris, I do not
listen to anybody else.
I don't watch anybody else.
I read,
but I have, I've tried to cut my reading back to about four hours a day because
it's just poison.
It's just all poison, but it's part of my job.
I've got to read and be informed.
So I don't, but I don't hear things.
You, I am very concerned about just somebody doing something stupid.
I'm also very concerned about this very, very, very very small group of people that are
Christian nationalists, but it's very small.
I am not concerned
about the
average listener, if you will.
You seem to be...
I don't know if your concern is greater than mine.
And I'm pretty concerned about things.
I want to judge why, what is it that you're feeling or is bringing this out in such a passionate way?
I want to make sure I'm not missing it.
Yeah, well, I think we are approaching a critical period in our country's history.
And, you know, I think the genesis of my comments was this
blow-up between Candace Owens and the Daily Wire, you know, Ben Shapiro's publication.
And, you know, I think that I try to be disciplined in my criticisms of people within our coalition, within within our movement.
But
Candace had been arguing that there are secret gangs of Jews murdering people in Hollywood.
She had rationalized Kanye West's
kind of deranged anti-Semitic outbursts.
She had been pushing stories about how the president of France's wife is actually a man.
And these are stories that drive clicks, they drive controversy, but they actually don't create anything substantive.
And unfortunately, there is a kind of rising group of commentators and media figures that have figured out that the way to get cheap attention is to put forward stories like these.
And I just think that
we have to be, of course, kind of tolerant of a range of opinion.
But there also is an outer bound or a limit that any political movement needs to maintain its own coherence and its own discipline.
And so you're not talking about censorship.
You're just talking about self-control.
That's right.
It's first self-discipline, and then it's also giving people a better option.
So, of course, I mean, I don't think any of these opinions should be censored.
They shouldn't be stricken from the record.
The government should not have any sway whatsoever.
But I think that it's up to us to have that discerning judgment and
then to also show people why this is such a limitation,
why it actually is not helpful, and to get people out of this outrage cycle that depletes them and into a cycle of participation in politics in the real sense.
You know, politics is not,
you know, tweeting conspiracy theories.
Politics is actually winning elections, changing the law, and managing institutions.
And so we need a movement that is capable of doing that.
And if we're not a movement that is capable of doing that, we don't deserve power.
We don't deserve to win.
And we don't deserve to have our ideas shaping the law.
We're talking to Christopher Ruffo.
I am gravely concerned that any time between now and
really probably January 20th of next year is the most dangerous place our republic may have ever been, and that's including in the Civil War.
We are at the edge of losing everything.
Somebody does something stupid.
We go to war.
The economy collapses.
Whatever it is,
is a real shot that we lose our freedom.
It's happening all, I mean, look at what's happening in Brazil.
This is happening all over the West right now.
And I know I have self-edited more than I've ever edited because I want to be very careful with my words because I am so concerned about the cries of dis and mis and malinformation that will be wrongly pointed in people's direction by the state.
But it's important now that we are speaking clearly
and as accurately as we possibly can.
Do you feel the same way?
I feel the same way, and I'm very concerned about it.
And I think this really dovetails nicely with my overall argument.
You know, if we don't have the self-discipline and if we engage in these kind of wild lines of media narratives,
it's going to provide,
you know, it's fake, but it will provide a kind of rationalization or justification for continued censorship.
If the government and the organized left can point to verifiably false conspiracy theories, they can then use it as justification for censorship.
Obviously, I don't support that.
I think everyone has the right to say whatever they want, true, false, good, or bad.
But
we have to be realistic about it.
And this is a major threat of getting de-platformed, of getting debanked of getting kind of de-anonymized exposed
and so we have we we unfortunately i mean look the new york times can publish conspiracy theories for three years about russiagate they'll be awarded the pulitzer prize and they'll pay no price when it turns out to be all a pack of lies we don't have that luxury i wish we did but we have to take the reality for what it is we have to be more disciplined we have to have higher standards and we have to fight fight much smarter than our opponents.
That said, the good news is that when we fight smart, like DeSantis has done in Florida, there is a wide open vista of possibility for us.
And
we can truly create
what I think of as a counter hegemony that will create a bulwark or a defense against all of the awful things that the organized left is doing.
Christopher Ruffo, thank you so much.
Thanks for being a friend, friend of the show, and a friend of freedom.
Appreciate it.
Thank you.
You bet.

Hello, America.
Before I leave today for the weekend, I just want to thank you so much for listening, so much for being there.
You know, I know we speak to millions of people every week,
probably about, I think it's 11 million just on this program every week.
And I'm grateful.
And I don't know how many people in that 11 million are actually
making changes in their life.
But if you are, I thank you for that.
And
And don't give up.
We have to be a better people than
we are.
I know many people,
at times I'm included in this,
that are better people than we were when we started this journey.
And
we still have a long way to go.
But if we are going to be the people that I have always thought this audience would be, and that is the people who actually, even if it's in remnants, saves the Republic and the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
We are going to have to be really strong, loving, kind, peaceful.
We are going to need to be as close to that carpenter from Nazareth as
possible.
Spend your weekend.
making plans to be just a better person and have a safe weekend.
Thank you for listening.
