Speaker 35 It's a new day, a time to ride.
Speaker 35 Welcome to the fusion
Speaker 35 of entertainment and enlightenment.
Speaker 35 This is the Glen Beck Program.
Speaker 37 Hello, Sick Freak. Welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.
Speaker 40 Yesterday, I was on the phone with Donald Trump before the news of Chris Christie broke, and
Speaker 31 he's talking to me, and I'll give you his reaction to Chris Christie when he found out, which was before the rest of the world found out.
Speaker 43 It was
Speaker 44 kind of funny.
Speaker 45 Kind of funny response from Donald Trump.
Speaker 49 We have coverage of what he said yesterday on Fox News, also the debate from CNN,
Speaker 53 and so much more, including the premiere tonight of our investigative reporting.
Speaker 40 It's our documentary, our Blaze documentary on Colony Ridge. You don't know what Colony Ridge is, you'll be finding one soon around you,
Speaker 47 and it is going to totally.
Speaker 42 change America.
Speaker 49 We'll talk about that coming up.
Speaker 20 60 seconds first.
Speaker 20 When you absolutely, positively have got to kill somebody threatening your family, you need a gun.
Speaker 37 You should have a gun.
Speaker 59 But not at all situations are calling for deadly force.
Speaker 60 There was a time, oh, about three years ago, my son was creeping around in the middle of the night.
Speaker 47 My wife woke up, she heard it.
Speaker 62 There's somebody in the house.
Speaker 58 Get your gun.
Speaker 31 So I got my gun and now, you know, she's in the bedroom.
Speaker 28 She's in the bedroom.
Speaker 63 You go first.
Speaker 61 And so I went and I was checking the house and I heard something move and I was coming around a corner and I stopped and I said, I have a gun.
Speaker 40 I am in fear for my life and my family's life.
Speaker 27 Identify yourself now.
Speaker 42 If you don't, I have a gun and I will shoot. And that's when I took a breath and I heard, it's me, Dad.
Speaker 68 I mean, if you're not careful, you could shoot and kill.
Speaker 16 Accidents like that happen.
Speaker 53 There is a non-lethal alternative to safeguarding your home that will send potential threats running in the opposite direction. It is Burna, the Burna launchers.
Speaker 67 These things are legal in all 50 states.
Speaker 22 No permits, no background checks required.
Speaker 18 If your daughter or your wife is walking around with, you know, pepper spray in her purse, okay, good, good.
Speaker 51 How about having a weapon, a gun that can fire tear gas up to 60 feet away.
Speaker 54 So something is happening.
Speaker 16 She has to just hit within six feet.
Speaker 49 It's the Burna launcher.
Speaker 77 Get it now.
Speaker 71 Check it out yourself.
Speaker 78 Visit Burna, B-Y-R-N-A. B-Y-R-N-A dot com slash Glenn.
Speaker 28 Get 10% off your
Speaker 55 purchase right now.
Speaker 35 It's burna.com slash Glenn.
Speaker 79 Okay,
Speaker 14 let me tell you about what's on the website right now at Blaze TV.
Speaker 82 Now, I recommend that you don't watch this for, let's say, the next three hours.
Speaker 83 Next three hours.
Speaker 56 That's a good recommendation.
Speaker 69 But it is available now on the website on demand at blazetv.com slash Glenn.
Speaker 18 It is our original documentary.
Speaker 86 In fact, let's play the full trailer here.
Speaker 86 This is what America is going to turn into.
Speaker 19 Listen.
Speaker 89 By the time Joe Biden's out of office, there will be about 10 million new people in here.
Speaker 40 If you have 10 million people coming in, where are they living?
Speaker 89 Look at the size of this.
Speaker 40 The fastest growing development in Texas is just a 30-minute drive from Houston.
Speaker 92 Any idea of how many are illegal?
Speaker 93
The majority. The majority.
The majority. I'm like Sears and Roebuck.
I have a product. I created it, I sell it.
Speaker 1 Does it bother you at all,
Speaker 93 just culturally,
Speaker 40 in America, to have 150,000 people that are speaking another language?
Speaker 93 Own something of your own, own your own home. That's what we're trying to create for people here.
Speaker 40 If it's the American dream,
Speaker 93 why don't you advertise in English?
Speaker 95 They are going against humanity, against Americans, non-Americans, a lot of races, a lot of people.
Speaker 96 Like, we were dumb for even falling into this.
Speaker 95 But
Speaker 96 what do we do?
Speaker 1 What do we do?
Speaker 97 If you import the third world,
Speaker 40 you end up becoming more third world.
Speaker 98 I've served in Afghanistan.
Speaker 98 Every war-torn or third world country always has that same distinct smell, and it's the smell of burning trash. You can see all non-developed lands.
Speaker 57 This could become massive.
Speaker 99 Gunfire shooting up me there, just pow, pow, pow, pow, coming in front of my house.
Speaker 98 My wife's advice was, don't piss off any cartels.
Speaker 42 I said, I'll try.
Speaker 42 Is this the future for America?
Speaker 89 Because this is the path we're on as an entire country.
Speaker 89 This is a completely new population.
Speaker 100 It is the third world coming to America.
Speaker 101 And they got to go someplace.
Speaker 32 And this story is, this story broke
Speaker 65 last summer, I think, when the Daily Wire and the New York Post did a story on Colony Ridge.
Speaker 48 And it was horrifying that the drug cartels were running it.
Speaker 77 And, you know, there's kidnapping and sex crimes and all kinds of stuff going on.
Speaker 18 And it's completely changing the makeup of this very, very red county in Texas.
Speaker 51 Some of that is true.
Speaker 18 Some of that is not true.
Speaker 87 Is this Pottersville
Speaker 104 or is the developer Jimmy Stewart in It's a Wonderful Life?
Speaker 17 I've never seen a story where
Speaker 51 the truth, whichever one it is, is the polar opposite.
Speaker 105 of the other.
Speaker 48 Half the people say this, half the people say that,
Speaker 22 and we found ourselves saying, hmm,
Speaker 55 we thought we knew what this story was, I'm not sure we do now.
Speaker 81 I will tell you this.
Speaker 8 This is going to happen all over the country.
Speaker 65 And
Speaker 55 I know I wouldn't want it in my state.
Speaker 18 I don't want it in my state.
Speaker 48 The developer's brother gave, who I think is the co-developer, I'm not sure, but the developer's brother gave
Speaker 10 Governor Abbott $1.4 million for his campaign.
Speaker 101 And I asked, what do you get for $1.4 million?
Speaker 26 You'll see the answer, and you'll see it on blazetv.com slash
Speaker 108 colonyridge.
Speaker 18 If you use the promo code colonyridge, you will get $30 off of the code.
Speaker 48 So go to Glennbeck.com.
Speaker 18 Or I'm sorry, go to blazetv.com slash glenn use colony ridge and uh you'll save it's a don't miss it's really remarkable only for blaze tv plus subscribers
Speaker 46 okay
Speaker 1 you watched the uh debate last night and donald trump i mean they were on at the same time so i go back and forth uh no i just watched the debate um i mean i trump we've obviously you know i figured that would be kind of more highly covered also more you know it was on a, it was on Fox, which I think more people might actually watch.
Speaker 1
So I tried to look for the thing that people weren't watching. It was, it was interesting.
I mean, you know, it's weird watching it.
Speaker 1 There's another parallel universe in which DeSantis and Haley are sort of two pretty highly qualified presidential candidates running for the Republican nomination from two different wings of the party, and it was a totally normal election.
Speaker 1 And then you kind of step back and you're like, well, actually, there's another candidate who's up by dozens of points. And so it felt very strange.
Speaker 1 I mean, I would say between, if you were going to look at the attacks leveled by both of these candidates and you'd say, was it against the other one on stage or was it against the guy who's in the lead in the race?
Speaker 1 I would say it was 80-20, the person on stage.
Speaker 14 Sure, they're playing for number two now.
Speaker 1 That's exactly what it felt like. It felt like they both sort of know that Trump is winning this, and there is still a possibility that he may begin a gulag somewhere in a few weeks.
Speaker 1 So, we better run for number two.
Speaker 1
And let's not try, you know, there's no reason to go after him. Now, they did mention him.
I mean, you know, they were critical. I mean, DeSantis pointed out, you know, his record on COVID.
Speaker 1 Haley went after him a couple of times on spending and budget stuff.
Speaker 1 There was some stuff, you know, that they hit him on, but it was largely like both of them were very highly drilled on what the other had done wrong.
Speaker 1 They went there with the intent of taking out the other. It was not going in there in an intent of like, I need to make a big splash to make up the ground to overturn Donald Trump.
Speaker 1 It was like, I need to make sure I don't finish in third in Iowa. That's what it felt like.
Speaker 18 Well, one of them's going to finish in third in Iowa.
Speaker 25 And we will see next week.
Speaker 102 The Iowa caucus happens Monday or Tuesday.
Speaker 85 Monday. Monday.
Speaker 24 So we got that going for us.
Speaker 19 Any insight on that?
Speaker 26 Any new information?
Speaker 1 You know, there's been a couple of polls that have come out.
Speaker 1 They've basically showed that the race hasn't changed much.
Speaker 1 There is one more Des Moines register poll, which is sort of the gold standard poll of the state that's supposed to come out this weekend that maybe give us one last bit of information.
Speaker 1 A few polls have come out, though, and showed
Speaker 1
DeSantis and Haley close for second, and then Trump significantly ahead. I do have a moral issue to ask.
Maybe I I could ask you as a friend.
Speaker 1
I didn't realize this until yesterday, but the caucus is going to be going on. Results are going to be coming out on Monday night.
At the same time, the Philadelphia Eagles are playing a playoff game.
Speaker 1 They're playing on Monday night. Now, I could tell you which one I care more about, but I don't think I necessarily want to admit that.
Speaker 1 So what do I, I mean, like, my, I have a responsibility to the network and to my job to cover the caucus.
Speaker 7 Oh, I thought you had a responsibility as a fan to the Eagles.
Speaker 1 I have a responsibility as a fan of the Eagles to watch.
Speaker 1 What would you do in this situation?
Speaker 77 As a huge sports fan of the Eagles, I think I would watch the Eagles and then just kind of check in from time to time on what's happening.
Speaker 79 Okay. Yeah.
Speaker 72 The commercial breaks.
Speaker 1 They flip over to the caucus.
Speaker 113 Yeah, there's a commercial break.
Speaker 84 Hang on.
Speaker 32 Time out on the field. Who's winning?
Speaker 114 And then click that. And then click right back.
Speaker 1 Because I do have, I also have the option of the split screen situation where you can do the double box. I don't know if I can.
Speaker 63 Can you you do the picture in picture so it's a smaller box?
Speaker 1 Yes, I think I can.
Speaker 110 Maybe that's what I do.
Speaker 116 I have, you know, again, my new attitude is, hmm, it's going to be interesting to see how this all works out.
Speaker 79 Right.
Speaker 28 And I think that's a little picture in picture box.
Speaker 113 You know, I think it has to do with the score.
Speaker 1 Yeah. Like, if it's 28-7 Buccaneers in the third quarter, which it probably will be, I'm going to be all into the caucus.
Speaker 117 If... Huh, are you?
Speaker 105 Because my choice then would be go to bed.
Speaker 115 Because your mood's not going to improve much by introducing politics into it.
Speaker 28 That's a good point.
Speaker 1
That is a fair point. The chaos is going to, it really does feel like such a strange election.
You know, I feel like people, generally speaking, are looking at this as a foregone conclusion.
Speaker 1 You know, it doesn't, I mean, I talked to this with Pat yesterday, who goes back, you know, a bunch of elections we've covered.
Speaker 1 Even before we started doing talk radio, you guys are doing top 40 together. You're still talking in the election.
Speaker 88 79.
Speaker 1 Do you feel like you've ever had an election that felt this way?
Speaker 83 No.
Speaker 1 It's unprecedented.
Speaker 87 No, because we've had it where you're like, okay, he's Reagan.
Speaker 114 Yeah, he's going to win. There you go.
Speaker 38 But
Speaker 51 we've never had the debates go on with the guy who was way ahead just not showing up.
Speaker 17 And we then have also never had, okay, he's going to win, but I don't know if he's going to jail.
Speaker 106 And then we've never had,
Speaker 112 yeah, okay, he's maybe he's not going to go to jail.
Speaker 67 If he does, he'll still run and constitutionally can still be elected.
Speaker 85 And then on top of that, oh, and the other guy, he might die in office because he's so old.
Speaker 59 They may replace him with Gavin Newsom,
Speaker 68 or they could just take the first lady from another president and drop her in at the last minute.
Speaker 68 I mean, it's crazy.
Speaker 1 I mean, there's a non-zero chance. And of course, we always hope for the best with people's health, but we do know that, you know, Joe Biden is an older man and God only knows what happens.
Speaker 1 But there's a non-zero chance that you walk in to the voting booth, and what you see on there is one guy who's dead, and that's it.
Speaker 79 Right?
Speaker 1 Like, it's possible
Speaker 110 you go in there, and one guy who's no longer sitting with us.
Speaker 4 It's a big swan, but it's a big black swan.
Speaker 110
Yeah, and the other guy's been removed from the ballot. Right.
Right?
Speaker 1 Like, it's possible that that's it.
Speaker 117 Yeah.
Speaker 1 And it's not, I mean, again, it's an unlikely possibility that both of those things would happen.
Speaker 1 But, like, the fact that we're in this world where these things are like normal discussions, every day we come on, we're like, like, I don't know.
Speaker 1 Looks like the president has completely lost his marbles.
Speaker 110 And the other guy running, I don't know, might be in a gulag.
Speaker 111 That's like a normal conversation.
Speaker 10 Trump and I talked about this yesterday, and I said, we're in a banana republic.
Speaker 101 If they don't
Speaker 55 take the one trial and push it past the election, you know, you have no time to prepare.
Speaker 10 Alan Dershowitz said
Speaker 63 no good attorney would ever take this case or allow it to go through.
Speaker 106 He said, if I were his attorney, attorney, I would go to jail before I would represent him because there's no time to be able to go through 3 million documents, and that's just what we know they have now.
Speaker 33 And then I said,
Speaker 17 and then on top of that, taking his name off the ballots and everything else,
Speaker 10 and Trump said, we're just out of control. We are careening towards the abyss.
Speaker 102 And I think we are.
Speaker 15 And God only knows what happens.
Speaker 18 So that's why I say go Eagles on
Speaker 74 Monday.
Speaker 1 And apologies to our wonderful listeners at WFLA and Tampa, but I mean, you know, I'm not sure.
Speaker 29 And may I also say our apologies to Iowa.
Speaker 18 You better have your butt out at those caucuses, okay?
Speaker 29 The rest of the country, we're not going to pay attention until the next day, but you better do your damn job.
Speaker 1 You want to talk about heavy lifting, by the way. Oh, yeah.
Speaker 110 Do you have you read the weather reports for Monday?
Speaker 111 No.
Speaker 1 They expect the temperatures to be like some of the just not
Speaker 1 air, you know, wind chill. Wind chill.
Speaker 68 We're talking normal temperatures, minus 13.
Speaker 109 Oh.
Speaker 69 So here's the deal.
Speaker 44 Here's the deal.
Speaker 128 If it starts going crazy, take off your jacket, walk outside for about 10 minutes.
Speaker 114 You won't care anymore. It'll be great.
Speaker 115 I mean, look at the bright side.
Speaker 3 Look at the bright side, Iowa.
Speaker 51 Real estate agents I trust, you know, it is underappreciated that trust is really hard to come by.
Speaker 17 I mean, with Disney just flushing that trust down the toilet, everybody seems to do it.
Speaker 63 Nobody seems to understand that for society to work, a man's word has to be his bond.
Speaker 120 You have to be able to trust things.
Speaker 100 All right.
Speaker 63 Well, who do you trust to help sell your house?
Speaker 130 Who do you trust?
Speaker 17 Realestateagentsitrust.com.
Speaker 74 That's something I built with my brother.
Speaker 15 And
Speaker 55 it will help you find the right real estate agent that you can trust.
Speaker 87 Free service to you. You just tell us where you're moving to or from, whether it's across the street or across the country.
Speaker 55 We'll help you find the right real estate agent on both ends.
Speaker 17 Realestateagentsitrust.com.
Speaker 55 The name says it all.
Speaker 68 Realestateagentsitrust.com.
Speaker 71 10 seconds, station ID.
Speaker 83 On the phone with Donald Trump yesterday
Speaker 26 in my office, and
Speaker 7 in the middle of our conversation, he says, Hope, hang on just a second.
Speaker 79 Really?
Speaker 108 It just happened?
Speaker 7 Oh, he's going to?
Speaker 79 Okay.
Speaker 20 Glenn, just found out Chris Christie dropping out of the race.
Speaker 56 And I said, really?
Speaker 18 And he said, I'm starting to like him more every minute that goes by.
Speaker 1 That's amazing. You were on the phone with the phone when that happened.
Speaker 65 Yeah, when he got the, and then I went back into my office, you know, and was in a meeting and
Speaker 86 I look up at the screen about 20 minutes later and
Speaker 8 he's announcing that he is dropped out.
Speaker 49 Wild.
Speaker 13 Yeah, really crazy.
Speaker 1 So it's an interesting move. I mean, obviously, Chris Christie is of zero consequence in this race overall, but.
Speaker 85 Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 21 He said so far he's not going to endorse anybody.
Speaker 114 And I'm like,
Speaker 1 how am I going to endorse people when you get caught on a cold, hot mic seconds before your announcement where you're saying basically all the other candidates are terrible people and they are literally unfit to be president?
Speaker 68 It's crazy.
Speaker 1 He said in his speech announcing he was leaving, he said, anyone who says
Speaker 1 that you would vote for Donald Trump is unfit to be president. So how can he endorse any of them at this point?
Speaker 1 Again, you know, the two paths forward here are MSNBC gig and no labels candidate, right?
Speaker 79 Like there's no
Speaker 1 maybe, maybe Ozempic spokesperson, but that's after a few months of hard work and diet and exercise. So, I mean, I don't know that there's much going forward for Chris Christie.
Speaker 1
I will say the New Hampshire thing, it is legitimately an interesting race. Iowa does not seem to be that.
We're not seeing polling that's showing it's very close.
Speaker 1 In New Hampshire, though, I mean, you know, Nikki Haley seems to be about 30% naturally before Christie drops out.
Speaker 1 And every instinct among watchers, but also every polling piece of data that we have shows probably something like three quarters of his votes would go to Haley. So
Speaker 1 look, I think that's going to be a close race.
Speaker 44 It's not at all crazy. He cuts one vote up into
Speaker 40 three quarters.
Speaker 1 Three quarters of the people voting for Chris Christie.
Speaker 9 Yeah, so how do you cut that one person up?
Speaker 72 He's actually doing
Speaker 55 better there than any place.
Speaker 1
Right, he had 12% of the vote in New Hampshire. And this is, you know, some races, or some of these polls, the latest CNN poll had it as a seven-point race between Trump and Haley.
Oh,
Speaker 1 another poll, American Research Group, had a three- or four-point race. So you look at that and you say, if that's true, which
Speaker 1
there are other polls that say maybe it's not as accurate, but if that's true, 12% drop out. This is a toss-up type race.
I mean, I still favorite.
Speaker 1 And then you go to South Carolina, which is her home state. Now, look, she's not as close there.
Speaker 122 But, you know, you win a race.
Speaker 1
It's Trump down. I mean, he's heavily favored there.
But, you know, you win a race. You beat him in New Hampshire.
Speaker 79 Who knows what happens? You know,
Speaker 1 that's how she's crossing her fingers. We'll deal with the other states after New Hampshire.
Speaker 1 And if she can show strong, if she can get second place in Iowa, first in New Hampshire, I mean, look, I think it's a real long shot considering how she's built that coalition. But
Speaker 1 you cross your fingers and hope if you're Nikki Haley.
Speaker 116 More in just a second.
Speaker 116 Glenn back.
Speaker 7 So, just like the rest of us, your dog needs a salad.
Speaker 17 And I don't know about your dog, but if you've ever dropped anything for a salad on the floor, they'll like put it in their mouth and they just like
Speaker 119 and just immediately drop it back on the floor.
Speaker 17 They like salad as much as I do.
Speaker 21 However, they need the same nutrition.
Speaker 86 They need the stuff that leads to a happy and healthy life.
Speaker 18 Kibble food has none of that stuff in it.
Speaker 10 My dog Uno has begun to slow down now as he's approaching 12 in his old age.
Speaker 18 And it's hard to watch that, but I am grateful because I truly believe Rough Greens gave him the best years of his life.
Speaker 26 Started feeding Uno about four or five years ago, Rough Greens, and I'll tell you, he changed as a dog.
Speaker 10 He was more active.
Speaker 60 He was happier.
Speaker 132 He was running around.
Speaker 104 It was amazing.
Speaker 40 Rough Greens, they want to give you a first trial bag free just to make sure your dog likes it. All you do is pay for shipping.
Speaker 35 Go to roughgreens.com/slash Beck. That's roughgreens.com/slash Beck or call 833-Glenn33.

Speaker 45 Welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
Speaker 56 It's Thursday.
Speaker 1
Maybe later we can go through some of this polling on the border, Glenn, because it's a huge vulnerability for Biden going into this election. A huge catastroph.
45% say it's a crisis.
Speaker 68 Crisis. I am surprised it's that low.
Speaker 73 Well, the only other.
Speaker 68 When they're kicking people out of their schools.
Speaker 1 Oh my gosh. In
Speaker 1 what is that?
Speaker 56 New York, right? Yeah, New York. In fact,
Speaker 55 do we have the video of that? It is.
Speaker 127 It's astounding.
Speaker 126 Play the video of that.
Speaker 1 Of them being ejected. Here we go.
Speaker 74 How does it feel? You feel good? I hope you feel good.
Speaker 74 I hope you all sleep really well tonight.
Speaker 103 That's the mom.
Speaker 57 Where are you yelling at?
Speaker 57
I have a right to it. That's why.
That's why. Because I'm an agitated mother.
That's why.
Speaker 134 I mean, I doubt.
Speaker 111 Incomprehensible.
Speaker 35 I doubt this mom.
Speaker 57 Take it off my kids' school.
Speaker 135 Yeah.
Speaker 38 I doubt this mom was, you know, a die-hard voter one way or another.
Speaker 61 I mean, there's going to be a lot of them. It might be, but
Speaker 3 they're moms first.
Speaker 17 And their kids are being kept out of school and told they got to go someplace else because all of these migrants are coming in.
Speaker 68 Not migrants, I'm sorry, illegal aliens coming in, and they're just taking the schools.
Speaker 117 What the hell is happening?
Speaker 62 It's legitimately shocking.
Speaker 1 It's also 2,000 people you know nothing about. You don't know if these are criminals, are felons, are mass murderers, and they just moved into this neighborhood.
Speaker 110 2,000 at once.
Speaker 138 It's incredible. It's an unconscionable story.
Speaker 10 Wait until you see this documentary on Blaze TV, on Colony Ridge, the new documentary with me and
Speaker 5 Jason Buttrell on right now.
Speaker 35 You can watch it at blazetv.com slash Glenn.
Speaker 10 If you're not a subscriber, you'll need to subscribe, use Colony Ridge, and you'll save 30 bucks or 30% off your Blaze TV
Speaker 81 membership, Blaze TV Plus. This documentary is for Blaze TV people only.
Speaker 25 It is
Speaker 25 really amazing, truly amazing.
Speaker 18 And we can only make these things because of you and
Speaker 26 try to find the
Speaker 10 real story. And the real story on this has been missed by almost everybody.
Speaker 138 It's a real story on Colony Ridge. Yeah.
Speaker 21 It's been missed by everybody.
Speaker 106 And we expose it because it was so when you actually go down and you're trying to to find the truth,
Speaker 19 it's not what you heard and it's not necessarily, you know, what the development says either.
Speaker 1 Okay.
Speaker 3 Those are polar opposites of
Speaker 48 each other.
Speaker 140 So what is the real truth and what's the real story?
Speaker 26 And you'll see that tonight on the documentary blazetv.com slash Glenn.
Speaker 22 Use the promo code Colony Ridge.
Speaker 130 But this does not, this is the fastest growing development in Texas.
Speaker 104 This is going to be everywhere.
Speaker 18 And you'll understand why tonight.
Speaker 85 I mean, everywhere.
Speaker 138 Aren't they selling like 200 lots a day or something?
Speaker 1 It's ridiculous. It's crazy.
Speaker 30 It's out of control.
Speaker 138 What's going on?
Speaker 48 Yeah, it's crazy.
Speaker 138 It's going to be the biggest city in the southeast or southwest pretty soon.
Speaker 17 Oh, I mean, it is 30 minutes outside of Houston.
Speaker 8 Yeah.
Speaker 48 And it's already, what, 70,000 people?
Speaker 24 Well, you'll find out tonight.
Speaker 72 That's what some people say.
Speaker 141 That's what some people say. You'll see tonight.
Speaker 72 It's pretty amazing.
Speaker 26 And you know where we got the official number?
Speaker 46 The schools.
Speaker 138 Oh, they'd know.
Speaker 78 Yeah, they'd know.
Speaker 44 All right, anyway.
Speaker 138 These poor people living in the shadows.
Speaker 138 I don't know what your deal is with them.
Speaker 1 Just here to make a better life of it.
Speaker 138 Just a bunch of families coming in.
Speaker 44 It's wanting a better life.
Speaker 104 The word I would use is not emergency.
Speaker 125 I would say it's
Speaker 106 invasion. Yeah.
Speaker 138
Well, that's the word that people agree with most now. They just did a study on that, a survey.
And rather than a crisis, they're saying it's an invasion.
Speaker 138 The American people are starting to wake up to it.
Speaker 139 I don't know if they're awake enough to elect a new leader who's going to do something about this, but I sure hope so.
Speaker 18 Well, Mike Lee is on today because Mike Lee is saying no budget.
Speaker 56 No border, no budget.
Speaker 61 No border, no budget.
Speaker 113 That's the way it should be.
Speaker 48 That's what Chip Roy is saying.
Speaker 26 You know,
Speaker 48 they torpedoed, 12 of them torpedoed the budget yesterday in the House because it included nothing on the border.
Speaker 44 Nothing on the border.
Speaker 1 Laughable. I mean,
Speaker 1 this charade we went through with throwing McCarthy out as if it was going to make some difference. And then the exact same deal comes back.
Speaker 79 Yeah.
Speaker 1 A lot of the people who were responsible for that, I haven't heard word one from, by the way.
Speaker 61 No.
Speaker 1
But I mean, it's just a waste of time. I mean, I don't care about McCarthy.
I don't care. And I don't think Johnson's the worst guy in the world or anything, but like, there's no change here.
Speaker 1
This is the same thing. They're in this, they're restrained the same way.
They can't do anything. They, they fail over and over again when they have power.
I mean, it's, it's pathetic.
Speaker 138 Who's best equipped, do you think, after everything we've seen so far in this campaign to do something substantial on the border?
Speaker 18 To finally, would it be Trump?
Speaker 138 Would it be DeSantis?
Speaker 50 I think it would be
Speaker 1 Nikki Haley. I mean, who do you have the most faith in? To do something on the border? Yeah.
Speaker 33 I think Trump and DeSantis are side by side.
Speaker 69 Side of their side.
Speaker 138 Yeah, yeah too um the vaik's pretty strong on you know
Speaker 125 from what i've heard of right but i don't know if he would have the muscle i think he would make a uh a decent vice president because i think he could explain things he could be out on the road be a bully pulpit uh he's a bulldog too yeah i mean he's a bulldog you've seen him with the press over the past few weeks especially
Speaker 1 very very good you know look there's a lot it's so weird i think people are so polarized on on the vaikk and it's like i don't know i mean i he's got something to offer. I really do think that.
Speaker 1 I mean, he is.
Speaker 138 He's just super smart.
Speaker 1 He's super smart. He's very good.
Speaker 1
I mean, he really does. You've mentioned this before, I know, Glenn, with Vivek as a potential Trump VP type of candidate.
And it's like, you know, I mean, you could see it.
Speaker 1 You know, he's a, he sort of has a younger,
Speaker 56 more,
Speaker 1 certainly a different approach, let's say, a more well-spoken and sort of refined approach than Trump, but he's a bulldog in the same way.
Speaker 1 And like, what you might point out as issues with Vivek, if you're looking at him generally, like, you know, occasionally he does go down certain roads.
Speaker 1 And he's had some odd comments on, you know, 9-11, for example, that might cause a normal candidate problems. That's not going to cause Donald Trump any problems.
Speaker 79 Okay, hang on to it.
Speaker 56
He doesn't care at all. I'll be like, oh, yeah.
Whatever.
Speaker 77 But let me ask you on 9-11.
Speaker 131 There are many conspiracies about 9-11.
Speaker 102 Steel doesn't melt comes to mind. Sure.
Speaker 106 Then how do you make it into a beam?
Speaker 111 How do they shape it so well?
Speaker 44 Right.
Speaker 22 But,
Speaker 25 you know, World Trade Center number seven collapsing later that day is really the conspiracy theory.
Speaker 1 There's a hundred million conspiracy theories.
Speaker 1 I don't, you know, I don't embrace any of them, but still, like, you know, I think if you talk to Vivek, he's not saying, well, it's, well, World Trade Center seven pulled out.
Speaker 1 He's saying, like, okay, well, they lied to us about Saudi Arabia's involvement.
Speaker 113 He's not like. I agree with that.
Speaker 46 I wish he'd clearly agree with that.
Speaker 138 He makes it sound like he's Alex Jones on the issue, and I don't think he is.
Speaker 1 And then you might think that because he brings Alex Jones on his podcast and then goes on Alex Jones' podcast,
Speaker 111 who am I?
Speaker 1 Again, I think that he has something to offer, but like his vulnerabilities as a candidate, the places he's
Speaker 1 weak or questionable as a lead candidate are all issues that Donald Trump could roll through without even thinking about it on a Tuesday afternoon. Yes.
Speaker 1 Like none of those problems that Vivek might present to a Nikki Haley. He doesn't present any of those problems to Donald Trump.
Speaker 84 Oh, no.
Speaker 1 And Donald Trump will be like, oh, yeah, well, actually, I think it was a conspiracy.
Speaker 103 It wasn't. He'll like outdo Vivek.
Speaker 117 I saw George Bush blend the explosions.
Speaker 103 He doesn't care.
Speaker 109 He'll go whatever.
Speaker 1 So like, you know, it's an interesting fit because, you know, Vivek would be able to go on all these shows and just constantly roll over media people attacking Trump.
Speaker 1 And if that's a job you'd think Trump would really like to have a bulldog. You know, Pence was a different pick.
Speaker 1
Pence was like, hey, a lot of, you know, evangelical people don't trust me right now in 2016. I need someone who can give me that credibility.
And Pence filled that role and basically
Speaker 1 didn't, you know, never disagreed with him for four years. I mean, I know everyone talks about January 6th, but like before January 6th, Pence was very subservient.
Speaker 1
to Donald Trump basically the entire time. And like, I don't know, you watch Vivek on stage.
He's almost doing that already.
Speaker 1 Like, he literally said while running for president in a debate that Donald Trump was the best president of his lifetime. And it's like, why are you running against him? Let him run again.
Speaker 1 Let's let him be president. We don't need you if we have him still.
Speaker 1 But, you know, Vivek has a number two in that role. There is, there's something to it.
Speaker 55 However, however, let's play the game of you need all of the Republicans.
Speaker 15 That would lead me to believe if Nikki Haley does well in Iowa, if she comes in second in Iowa, and
Speaker 25 you leave DeSantis kind of in the dust, I think DeSantis could be done.
Speaker 1 If DeSantis finishes third, he's toast, right? There's no way to come.
Speaker 38 It's a close third, you know, if it's like one or two points away.
Speaker 83 I mean, you're in Iowa.
Speaker 1 He's putting all of his resources there. If he finishes, there's almost no third.
Speaker 100 That's it.
Speaker 56 Yeah, I think so, too.
Speaker 1 Other than Trump is in a gulag.
Speaker 1
They take Trump off the ballot somehow. You know, something like that, you might say, okay, he's playing for second.
If it was him versus Nikki Haley, all polling of Republicans shows
Speaker 1 he would beat Nikki Haley easily. But the question is,
Speaker 1 when given the three-way choice here with Trump and Haley and DeSantis, the DeSantis,
Speaker 1 people who like DeSantis are more likely to vote for Trump. If Trump isn't there, DeSantis may say, okay, well, I have a path forward.
Speaker 1 I mean, again, we have to take these things seriously because the entire U.S. government seems to be aligned to try to destroy Donald Trump.
Speaker 1 So you have to think of what happens as a secondary choice here. And so DeSantis might see a path forward there.
Speaker 1 But in a traditional primary, if all he has spent all of his resources on Iowa, if he finishes third, there's a new poll today that shows him in third, by the way.
Speaker 1 If that is true, and that is, and it's hard to believe, but if that is true, he's got to be toast, right?
Speaker 1 Like that, if you spend all of this time, all of these resources on Iowa and you finish third behind Nikki Haley in a state that's like Iowa, that's catastrophic for this campaign.
Speaker 124 Really cold, cold front could help DeSantis because his people are going to be hopefully motivated.
Speaker 104 If he's behind Nikki Haley,
Speaker 18 they'd be either they'll either give up or they'll be motivated to get out to the caucus and really caucus for him and be strong.
Speaker 1 Best organization, I think, in the entire state. I talked to Steve Dace yesterday, who kind of outlined that same thing.
Speaker 12 I think Donald Trump has a pretty strong, I've heard that he is killing it on the ground.
Speaker 1 I mean, look, that poll that I mentioned that has DeSantis in third place also has Trump over 50%.
Speaker 138 The weather could definitely play a part in this, though.
Speaker 79 But it's going to be 15 here.
Speaker 1 How cold is it going to be in Iowa?
Speaker 79 15 below.
Speaker 122 Yeah.
Speaker 114 Really cold.
Speaker 1 Really cold. And if you're a Trump voter and you're thinking, like, he's up by 30, why am I really going to...
Speaker 78 That could really hurt him.
Speaker 56 That could really throw him into chaos. That could really hurt him.
Speaker 3 All right, back in just a minute.
Speaker 18 Thank you, Pat.

Speaker 97 you're listening to the glenbeck program
Speaker 81 welcome to the glenbeck program there is one thing that we should uh mention uh bitcoin uh got its permission from the uh sec actually the big investment houses that wanted to be be able to trade shares of Bitcoin on the open market got their wish come true.
Speaker 18 I think 12 or 15
Speaker 51 major investment houses now can buy Bitcoin and then sell ETF, paper Bitcoin to people, but they have to hold the Bitcoin to be able to sell the paper.
Speaker 1 Which means billions and billions and billions of dollars going into buy Bitcoin, which, of course, has a major upside pressure on the price. I mean, we're already over 49,000 today.
Speaker 87 Oh, it started at 46 this morning.
Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean, and this is, this is after a lot of this has been built in. I mean, you know, this is, this is something that was at 25,000, what, four months ago?
Speaker 1
So, I mean, it's already all of this, a lot of it's been built in to get up to 40-something thousand. Looks like it's going to go over 50,000 today.
Really good chance of it.
Speaker 17 What was its peak, 65?
Speaker 1 It was over 65 for like, I think, a total of three days. I believe the height, the peak was 69.
Speaker 56 But almost,
Speaker 1 well over 90% of all Bitcoin held right now is in profit.
Speaker 1 So like, I mean, there was a few people who bought on bad days, but like you go back the entire history, if you bought and hold, you're up almost
Speaker 1 by almost every day you could have purchased it in the entire history of Bitcoin. And now we're seeing
Speaker 1 some estimates are as high as $200 billion about to just flow in to buy more.
Speaker 10 What do you mean to the price of Bitcoin and the stability of Bitcoin?
Speaker 102 Because now if you have giant investments, you know, if you have, if you have, you know, retirement funds that blocks the government from destroying it, it certainly makes it more difficult.
Speaker 83 It's more difficult from destroying it because people would have their investments in it.
Speaker 25 So, you know, it wasn't a logical move on the SEC if you think they're going to ban it.
Speaker 25 However, you know, these guys are crap.
Speaker 55 I have no idea.
Speaker 1 I will say one thing that's interesting about this is even if you don't care about Bitcoin or any of this stuff, just think about how annoyed Elizabeth Warren is today.
Speaker 79 And just that will make you so happy.
Speaker 1 You might not care at all about digital currency, but Elizabeth Warren is having a terrible day, and that's great news.
Speaker 5 She'll be on the war path.
Speaker 53 She was quoted as saying,
Speaker 42 yesterday.
Speaker 1 That's offensive to her. She's Native American, you know.
Speaker 18 I'm more Native American than she is.
Speaker 111 That's legitimately.
Speaker 73 according to DNA testing, that is legitimately true.
Speaker 73 All right, board a minute:
Speaker 97 the Glenn Beck program.
Speaker 97 and hold the line.
Speaker 97 It's a new day, I tell you right.
Speaker 97 Welcome to the fusion
Speaker 97 of entertainment
Speaker 97 and enlightenment.
Speaker 97 This is the Glenn Beck program.
Speaker 41 I have to tell you, yesterday,
Speaker 55 the news roster
Speaker 114 is so full today.
Speaker 37 I mean, I'm going to go through just the major stories that were reported on yesterday, that broke yesterday, and it is breathtaking.
Speaker 104 There are so many stories.
Speaker 55 I'm probably going to get to a third to be able to comment on about a third of them.
Speaker 53 I'll make quick note of all of the stories that we're looking at today, and it's a pretty mind-blowing list.
Speaker 40 We'll give that to you here in just 60 seconds.
Speaker 39 Here's the cold hard truth.
Speaker 42 Car repairs are coming your way and they're not going to be cheap.
Speaker 87 These days a car mechanic will practically charge you just to take a look, just take a picture of your car.
Speaker 53 So you have to factor in car repairs into your budget.
Speaker 40 You just have to. What if there was a way you could protect your wallet?
Speaker 126 I mean, nobody likes surprises.
Speaker 58
No, I like surprises. No, you don't.
You like the surprises that you like.
Speaker 61 You don't like like surprises in general.
Speaker 40 Surprise, your car has to be repaired.
Speaker 47 That's why Car Shield is there.
Speaker 28 You get to lock in your price for car repairs and it never goes up.
Speaker 87 Car Shield offers protection plans for around a hundred bucks a month.
Speaker 53 They cover more parts than ever before, from your alternator to big ticket items like your transmission.
Speaker 66 So whether your car has 5,000 or 150,000 miles, Car Shield has a plan for you.
Speaker 32 This year, choose coverage through Car Shield.
Speaker 47 Car Shield, they'll have your back when when your car breaks.
Speaker 50 They have had mine.
Speaker 36 CarShield.com slash Beck.
Speaker 49 CarShield.com slash Beck or call 1-800-227-60100.
Speaker 17 800-227-60-100.
Speaker 35 CarShield.com slash Beck.
Speaker 137 Let me just see if I can run down some of the stories.
Speaker 20 Yesterday,
Speaker 19 Bitcoin was approved. for institutional investing.
Speaker 53 That came from the SEC.
Speaker 19 15 institutional investors were given permission to start selling Bitcoin and including it in their retirement funds, et cetera, et cetera.
Speaker 18 That's huge.
Speaker 20 That's why Bitcoin is going to break 50,000 probably here in the next few minutes.
Speaker 54 There was the block of the budget by 16 Republicans, Chip Roy, one of them,
Speaker 18 who are saying,
Speaker 69 you don't do something about the border, we're never going to pass a budget.
Speaker 19 Never.
Speaker 26 And God bless them for that.
Speaker 18 We have Mike Lee coming on about that here in just a minute.
Speaker 115 Chris Christie dropped out.
Speaker 77 Gavin Newsom, we find out now has a budget crisis.
Speaker 53 He refuses to call it an emergency, but if he's going to dip into the emergency funds, he then has to call it an emergency or he can't get any of those funds.
Speaker 84 It's $37 billion, and yet he announced just earlier this week, or was it last week, that he's going to be covering health insurance and sex changes with the California health system.
Speaker 14 So you got that going for you.
Speaker 101 Belichick was fired.
Speaker 1 They say they parted ways.
Speaker 1 I don't think they would fire him after his nine Super Bowls they went to. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 But
Speaker 1
they're parting ways. He's going to probably go coach somewhere else.
I mean, I don't know that I ever thought he would leave there other than just retiring.
Speaker 1 It's a huge, I mean, you're talking about probably the greatest NFL coach of all time,
Speaker 1 arguably.
Speaker 4 Isn't Alabama kind of a big deal football?
Speaker 111 Arguably the greatest college coach of all time also.
Speaker 1 Nick Sabin leaving, which apparently was a pretty big surprise.
Speaker 1 And the same day, or I guess it was one day apart technically, but in the same 24-hour period, certainly.
Speaker 34 Then we had the debate, the town hall.
Speaker 77 We had Fannie Willis.
Speaker 10 That story broke.
Speaker 4 You know about that, right?
Speaker 20 She was having an affair with some attorney who then she said, I'm appointing you special counsel
Speaker 112 on the Trump thing, except she can't do that.
Speaker 17 She needs permission to do that.
Speaker 124 It has to go through a board.
Speaker 146 She never went through the board to do it.
Speaker 145 So
Speaker 17 she did not follow procedure.
Speaker 91 He's making like $650,000 on his special counsel.
Speaker 20 They're sleeping together. He's going through a divorce.
Speaker 38 She's being called as a witness.
Speaker 84 That's the real ethical woman, Fannie Willis,
Speaker 18 that is going after Donald Trump.
Speaker 17 Then you also had Fauci yesterday come out and say,
Speaker 17 the lab leak theory is not a conspiracy theory.
Speaker 112 Excuse me, what?
Speaker 68 The six-foot distancing, we just made that up.
Speaker 1
I still see the posters for that all around, all over the place. They're still just hanging up there as remnants of that era.
And apparently no science on that particular claim.
Speaker 73 Nope.
Speaker 18 Nope.
Speaker 101 Then you have the kids in New York getting kicked out of their own school for
Speaker 59 illegals.
Speaker 44 What
Speaker 17 would you do as a parent?
Speaker 54 Wait, my kid has to move?
Speaker 68 My kid has to go someplace else because
Speaker 32 their school has been taken over by illegals?
Speaker 77 No, I don't. No, I don't think so.
Speaker 54 Then you had Hunter Biden show up yesterday.
Speaker 140 That was bizarre.
Speaker 101 He shows up in Congress
Speaker 32 and just sits there and everybody starts yelling at him.
Speaker 68 And then, in an even more bizarre move, he gets up and leaves in the middle of it.
Speaker 19 Then you had a couple of really disturbing things happen.
Speaker 74 You have Poland
Speaker 14 kind of teetering right where we are on the constitutional republic line, listen to this.
Speaker 104 This is the Polish prime minister.
Speaker 18 An announcement he made yesterday.
Speaker 147 They are the former Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski and his deputy, Maczo Ivojik.
Speaker 147 Both are democratically elected members of the Polish parliament.
Speaker 147 Both fought against communism During their visit to the Polish President Andrzej Duda at the presidential palace, they were detained by the police and then taken into custody.
Speaker 147 This happened even though both received a presidential pardon, as the prerogative of the president allows under Polish constitutional law, in 2015.
Speaker 147 The entire process, which culminated in the detention of two politicians, took place in flagrant violation of the rule of law.
Speaker 57 Wow.
Speaker 18 As to make that even better, I don't know if you saw the Canadian
Speaker 20 Mounties or whoever they are, the Canadian police arresting the journalist.
Speaker 46 This is horrifying.
Speaker 19 Journalist is going and asking, I don't know, the Interior Secretary or something,
Speaker 63 why Hamas is not on the terrorist list for Canada.
Speaker 7 Listen to this.
Speaker 57 Ms. Freeland, how come the IRDC is not a terrorist group?
Speaker 57 Why is your government supporting Islamo Nazi?
Speaker 57 He's just putting a mic in her face.
Speaker 57 Arrest for assault.
Speaker 57 Why are you pushing me? You're under arrest for assault.
Speaker 57 Who are you? You're under arrest for assault.
Speaker 57 Police.
Speaker 57
Police, you're under arrest. How am I under arrest? You bumped into me.
You pushed into me.
Speaker 57
I was just scrubbing. I've got my credentials here, and you just bumped into me.
So, police, you're under arrest.
Speaker 73 What is your name in your badge?
Speaker 57 What is your name in your badge?
Speaker 57 Why am I under arrest?
Speaker 57 He brought my
Speaker 57 stop.
Speaker 112 They take him away.
Speaker 68 Now, this is a journalist that is walking down the street.
Speaker 54 The police officer was intentionally standing right where he he was walking.
Speaker 88 He saw him coming.
Speaker 67 He didn't move.
Speaker 54 The guy had the microphone and he bumps into him because he's walking backwards.
Speaker 71 So he doesn't see him, but he just bumps into him and he's arrested for assaulting a police officer.
Speaker 56 Holy cow.
Speaker 30 Meanwhile, as we told you last week, the Red Cross, if you're giving money to the Red Cross, you should stop right now.
Speaker 85 In my opinion, you should stop.
Speaker 68 How could I say that?
Speaker 141 Red Cross does a lot of good things.
Speaker 148 Yeah, they're also passing out flyers on how to get to America all over South America and Latin America.
Speaker 1 Excuse me?
Speaker 118 What are you doing? What are you talking about?
Speaker 72 You're organizing?
Speaker 104 Well, they're helping.
Speaker 17 You also have Friends of the Train.
Speaker 10 I don't remember what it is in Spanish.
Speaker 18 They're doing it.
Speaker 100 And the United Nations is also aiding and abetting
Speaker 106 and
Speaker 44 pushing people towards our border.
Speaker 67 We're going to have 10 million new people here in America.
Speaker 86 Just from the last four years.
Speaker 71 That's an invasion.
Speaker 67 Meanwhile, our Congress and our president will do nothing.
Speaker 46 Nothing.
Speaker 20 There were 15 or 16 Republicans yesterday that stood up and said, no,
Speaker 75 you don't get a budget without the border.
Speaker 3 You secure the border.
Speaker 120 We'll talk to you about the budget.
Speaker 85 But no.
Speaker 58 And now everybody's, oh my gosh, we're not going to have a budget. We're not going to shut down the government.
Speaker 116 We should shut down the government.
Speaker 68 What is the government doing to help you?
Speaker 68 What is the government doing to protect and defend the Constitution? What is the government doing to protect the borders?
Speaker 119 The government is out of control.
Speaker 54 We shouldn't be giving them another dime.
Speaker 118 Make them work for it.
Speaker 76 Force them to do their job.
Speaker 20 I'm only asking for the Constitution to be followed.
Speaker 32 I'm not asking for anything radical.
Speaker 67 Follow the Constitution and execute your job.
Speaker 66 And anyone who's not following or worse, usurping the Constitution, fire them or try them if they've committed a crime.
Speaker 9 My gosh, what is wrong with us?
Speaker 17 Meanwhile, Houston, one of its top five city now, isn't it?
Speaker 86 It's the fourth or fifth largest city in the country.
Speaker 11 Massive, massive city.
Speaker 55 It's growing by leaps and bounds, but it's growing with illegals.
Speaker 85 You're going to lose Texas.
Speaker 123 You will lose Texas as a red state.
Speaker 118 You will.
Speaker 102 It's only a matter of time.
Speaker 30 Period.
Speaker 31 Why do you think they're bringing all these illegals in?
Speaker 129 Two things.
Speaker 65 One,
Speaker 19 elections.
Speaker 106 And number two,
Speaker 79 Cloud and Pivin.
Speaker 3 Overwhelm the system.
Speaker 127 That's what's happening in California.
Speaker 17 Gavin Newsom, you think he's going to be put in?
Speaker 104 Gavin Newsom,
Speaker 20 he's got a budget deficit now of $37 billion.
Speaker 85 Why?
Speaker 68 Because he's doing the same thing they're doing in New York. Get out of here.
Speaker 10 We're going to put some illegals in here.
Speaker 16 Can you imagine if you have your own business and you can't afford health insurance?
Speaker 32 You could barely afford it.
Speaker 36 You're just at the bottom of the barrel.
Speaker 148 And your tax dollars are going to give sex change operations to illegals,
Speaker 141 I think I'd lose my mind.
Speaker 67 I think I would lose my mind.
Speaker 86 I would definitely lose my house.
Speaker 20 I would sell my house so fast and get out of that state.
Speaker 54 That's true insanity.
Speaker 17 You can't make the budget.
Speaker 141 And so what is he cutting?
Speaker 21 What is he cutting? Tell me, Stu, how this one makes any sense at all.
Speaker 20 What is Gavin Newsom cutting now that he has a deficit of $37?
Speaker 20 Sorry, $37 billion.
Speaker 60 It will be $68 billion if he does nothing, okay?
Speaker 18 So he's taking $13 billion from his rainy day fund reserves, which you're not supposed to touch unless you declare an emergency.
Speaker 26 But he won't declare an emergency.
Speaker 18 He's taking $8.5 billion from programs, deferring some spending to the future and spreading it out over more years.
Speaker 17 $8.5 billion in spending cuts.
Speaker 13 Half of those cuts are for housing.
Speaker 19 Now, wait a minute. Wait a minute.
Speaker 137 Wait a minute.
Speaker 56 Hold on.
Speaker 116 You're going to cut housing and yet
Speaker 144 millions of people are coming across the border and you already have a housing crisis in California.
Speaker 46 How's that work?
Speaker 149 Then the other thing he's doing is he's cutting on many of the promises on climate change.
Speaker 17 Now if you're Gavin Newsom, remember this is the World War II of this generation.
Speaker 51 How is he possibly doing that?
Speaker 51 Hmm.
Speaker 68 What are the things he's cutting?
Speaker 56 Well,
Speaker 75 he said, I won't cut free kindergarten, because he just added that.
Speaker 12 I won't cut health insurance for all low-income adults, regardless of their immigration status.
Speaker 20 So he's married to those two things.
Speaker 1 But
Speaker 18 he does want to delay a planned minimum wage increase for healthcare workers.
Speaker 115 So wait a minute.
Speaker 124 I thought that was going to help everybody.
Speaker 10 Everybody wins in that.
Speaker 17 Why would you, if that only helps people make money and it doesn't harm the businesses, why would you do that?
Speaker 114 Why?
Speaker 149 Then
Speaker 145 he is
Speaker 48 going to cut $40 million from a program that helps local and regional governments fight the impacts of extreme heat.
Speaker 142 $23 million for a pilot program to deploy zero-emission trucks that transport goods from ports.
Speaker 18 $600 million in spending for programs to help motorists replace gas vehicles with hybrid and zero-emission versions.
Speaker 16 If you actually believe this is the end of the world, why would you cut those things?
Speaker 85 Why?
Speaker 20 And this is the guy people say they're going to run.
Speaker 100 Okay.
Speaker 24 If America is that insane, well, then we deserve
Speaker 125 what we have coming to us, I guess.
Speaker 18 So what does all of this mean?
Speaker 29 And what is truly the big story of yesterday and today?
Speaker 86 I'll tell you in 60 seconds.
Speaker 18 When it comes to being prepared for disasters, there is no time like the present.
Speaker 87 If, God forbid, you find yourself and your family in a situation where food is hard to come by, and I can't think of anything that might cause that.

Speaker 60 So the biggest story today
Speaker 150 is this.
Speaker 112 I want you to imagine play the audio of the mother outside of the New York school where her kids and all the kids have been told to leave because school needs to be occupied now by illegal immigrants.
Speaker 112 How does it feel that you can't all the kids out of school tomorrow? How does it feel? You feel good?
Speaker 75 I hope you feel good. So her kids can't go to school
Speaker 38 because the school is now occupied by illegal immigrants.
Speaker 73 Okay?
Speaker 71 Imagine yourself in that situation.
Speaker 18 Now, if you've ever been to Brazil, I want you to imagine something else.
Speaker 15 If you've been to Brazil or Rio, you know it's wealth and like I have no clothing poverty, okay?
Speaker 64 And they live right on the other side of the fence.
Speaker 76 It is despicable, awful.
Speaker 17 It's poverty like Americans have never seen before.
Speaker 24 But that's what we're talking about.
Speaker 68 If we bring the world here
Speaker 116 without a plan, without ways for them to realize the American dream, and we just keep giving stuff, or worse, we let people prey on them,
Speaker 120 we're going to be a third world country.
Speaker 87 That is your future.
Speaker 128 Living where you live and right on the other side of the fence is massive poverty.
Speaker 85 How do I know?
Speaker 71 I've been to Colony Ridge in Houston, Houston, and that's what it is.
Speaker 119 Across your fence is wild like never-before-seen poverty.
Speaker 66 It's not all of Colony Ridge, but
Speaker 17 it is going to be popping up everywhere.
Speaker 16 Currently, it's in Houston. But these developments,
Speaker 51 when unscrupulous people, not doing anything illegal
Speaker 104 see the opportunity to make millions of dollars.
Speaker 100 They're going to do this and repeat this all over America.
Speaker 18 What is Colony Ridge? It is the name of a development just outside of Houston, Texas, about 30 minutes outside of Texas.
Speaker 123 So you're commuting
Speaker 19 distance.
Speaker 15 And it is
Speaker 119 many parts of it.
Speaker 56 Third world feeling.
Speaker 102 Okay.
Speaker 108 Are the people happy?
Speaker 84 Some of them are.
Speaker 69 Some of them are really unhappy.
Speaker 113 What is the whole story?
Speaker 68 Because the New York Post didn't get it right.
Speaker 104 I don't think the Daily Wire got it right.
Speaker 75 We tried really hard to get this right, and you will see the truth of Colony Ridge, and it's not about the Texas development.
Speaker 42 It is about you and your neighborhood.
Speaker 80 If you don't stand up, if Congress doesn't stand up and say no budget, if there's no border security, then this will come to your community it may already be there watch it on blaze tv subscribe to blaze tv and watch the exclusive blaze tv subscriber documentary colony ridge glenn back

Speaker 29 Hello, you sick freak.
Speaker 74 Yesterday, Mike Lee went on a rant on X.
Speaker 40 I wish Senate GOP leaders would admit that Biden already has the power to stop the border border surge but refuses to do so.
Speaker 7 And two, passing new laws, paying $106 billion as the price of admission, won't change that.
Speaker 59 When this effort fails, Biden will blame the GOP for the surge.
Speaker 116 By not including Speaker Johnson in these border security negotiations to give him what he needs, Senator's are setting up GOP to get blamed for the border.
Speaker 120 Why exclude the House Speaker in this?
Speaker 9 This gives Biden and the Democrats a massive win.
Speaker 38 Biden will never enforce the law, and Dem AGs will litigate it to death and ensure that none of it takes effect.
Speaker 18 Those advocating for this deal, including members of both parties, are setting Republicans up for failure.
Speaker 20 Nothing that's in this deal, which we still haven't seen, but
Speaker 10 it's been described to us in broad terms, would stop the current surge in the border.
Speaker 17 And some of its provisions might as well, might make the surge far worse.
Speaker 63 No one believes this can pass the House because it's got serious problems.
Speaker 17 So why are we setting up Republicans?
Speaker 137 Perhaps Perhaps the firm has now ousted Speaker Johnson and renamed it as the law firm of Schumer, McConnell, and Jeffries.
Speaker 119 If so, that speaks well of Speaker Johnson.
Speaker 20 Mike Lee is here to talk about this.
Speaker 56 Hi, Mike.
Speaker 113 Good to be with you.
Speaker 17 Good to be with you, Senator.
Speaker 18 You give me a little bit of hope because I've been wondering about Speaker Johnson.
Speaker 17 You're saying now that he's cut out of this in the Senate, and that might mean that he's actually a good guy.
Speaker 90 Yeah, it it appears to me that Speaker Johnson, who I met with this morning, has not been in the loop on this at all. It appears to me also that Speaker Johnson knows that this
Speaker 90 has no realistic hope of going anywhere in the House. And I believe Speaker Johnson also understands that President Biden has the authority to address the border crisis crisis
Speaker 90 in a meaningful way, to get the numbers down
Speaker 90 low the way they were before
Speaker 90 President Trump left office.
Speaker 90 But President Biden refuses to do so.
Speaker 90 And one of the dangerous things about this game is that by setting this up, we're almost taking accountability away from President Biden by buying into the narrative and implicitly furthering the narrative that says that this whole border crisis, the humanitarian crisis unfolding there, the rule of law chaos, the invasion of the United States of America by people from all over the world, including not just from Latin America, but from places like, oh, I don't know, Afghanistan and Syria,
Speaker 90 China, all kinds of places, Yemen,
Speaker 90
that this is occurring for want of adequate legislation, for a lack of adequate federal law. It is not.
Look, Glenn, the bottom line is
Speaker 90 this all started and it all gets perpetuated through our asylum laws.
Speaker 90 And our asylum laws at the outset are discretionary. They're written in may language rather than shall language.
Speaker 90 They contemplate that when someone comes in, crosses our border without documentation, if they want to apply for asylum, they do so.
Speaker 90
They're supposed to be incarcerated until their claim can be adjudicated. And if and only if they're deemed eligible for it, then they're admitted.
Most of them are not, by the way.
Speaker 90 But what these guys are doing, they're saying, well, we ran out of bed space. We don't have enough time or people and enough beds to process all of them and hold them.
Speaker 90 So what we're going to do is just release them into the interior of the country. In fact, we're going to buy them a plane ticket.
Speaker 90
And they can board that plane without a driver's license or a passport or anything else. We'll just fly them into the country.
And we'll tell them, have fun.
Speaker 90
We'll probably contact you for your immigration hearing, which may be 10 or 12 years down the road. and within 180 days, we'll give you a work permit.
That is not what the law requires.
Speaker 90 Much of that is not even what the law allows. What they could and should do is say that because
Speaker 90 there is no affirmative right to asylum by anybody coming into this country without documentation, there's no affirmative right that we have to recognize.
Speaker 90 The President and Secretary Mayorkis should say, once we're no longer able to process all of them, we're going to stop even considering asylum applications for people who cross our borders without documentation and thereafter seek asylum.
Speaker 90 We should be turning them around right away. This whole negotiation presupposes that this is
Speaker 90
somehow based on a lack of adequate federal legislation. Sure, some of our laws are messed up and need to be fine-tuned.
That's not the problem here.
Speaker 90 The problem is that President Biden defiantly refuses to enforce them.
Speaker 60 You say that this law, if passed, might even make things worse.
Speaker 107 How?
Speaker 90 Well, there are elements of it that might make things better, but there are elements of it that might turn up the electromagnetic pull for illegal migrants.
Speaker 90 For example, there are provisions that would eliminate the 180-day waiting period between the time someone else
Speaker 90 and is released from the initial screening into the interior of the country. They have to wait 180 days between that moment and the moment they get their work permit.
Speaker 90 This would turn that down to zero days. They would get it immediately after they're released from the initial screening period.
Speaker 90 So that's a thing.
Speaker 90 Number two, while it would give a new Title 42-like authority to the president to shut down the border
Speaker 90 in ways that we can't yet ascertain because we haven't seen bill text, they won't let us see it because they're still negotiating it. I don't know why that means we can't see it, but whatever.
Speaker 90 They're negotiating that, and that sounds great.
Speaker 90 That, you know, once we've achieved 5,000 migrant encounters a day, and we're several times that right now, that the president would have authority in unspecified ways to sort of shut down the whole process of the border, the process by which people entering by land without documentation could be brought in.
Speaker 90 But then it says it can do that for only 14 consecutive days and initially for a maximum of 275 days per year, ratcheting down over two or three years after that to a total of 180 days.
Speaker 90 Well, just what that does, Glenn.
Speaker 90 That allows allows El Chapo's successors and interests and other like-minded international criminal cartels to game the system, to calendar around when they'll bring in these uncontrolled waves of illegal immigration.
Speaker 90 This will just guarantee that they will be able to have free reign because the president won't be able to shut it all down. Okay.
Speaker 86 So, Mike, you know, the budget thing, I have been watching you and thank you for being one of the good guys.
Speaker 18 And no border, no budget.
Speaker 77 That should be a mantra all around the country.
Speaker 85 No border, no budget.
Speaker 36 But the Republicans are going to shoot themselves.
Speaker 9 The Mitch McConnells are going to do it again.
Speaker 17 They're going to say, oh my gosh, this is horrible. You know, we're going to shut down the government because of these extreme Republicans who everyone knows.
Speaker 68 That the border is a crisis.
Speaker 18 Everyone knows that.
Speaker 51 And I don't know why the GOP is acting the way they do.
Speaker 17 I don't know if they're in bed just for themselves or big business or whatever.
Speaker 77 But if you've got the Mitch McConnell's and the machinery of the GOP not standing behind no border, no budget, it's just going to be a nightmare again.
Speaker 90 It will, just as it is a nightmare now. So, yeah,
Speaker 90 we need a simple demand. A simple demand is secure the border or shut it down.
Speaker 90 Now there's some flexibility in what the it is, whether that's the whole government or the Department of Homeland Security or the White House toilet paper budget, I don't know.
Speaker 90 But regardless, there needs to be some consequence, something, someone, somewhere needs to be defunded directly as a result of the refusal to enforce the border.
Speaker 90 And it is willful and it is politically motivated.
Speaker 90 They need to face consequences from that
Speaker 90 by the Congress. Remember, you can't really pass any spending legislation without going through the Republican-controlled House.
Speaker 90 You can't even pass any spending legislation separate and apart from the Republican-controlled House without getting at least nine votes from Republicans in the Senate in addition to the 51 Democrats.
Speaker 90 So if Republicans really wanted to hold them to this, we could impose some consequence.
Speaker 90 whether that's shutting down DHS for a while until they get their act together, until they enforce the border, or much more broadly.
Speaker 90 I'm agnostic as to what exactly ought to be defunded during that period, but we've got to defund something because we can't pretend this is business as usual.
Speaker 90 We cannot, must not reward them for inviting an invasion and acting as if nothing has to change as a result of that.
Speaker 26 Mike, thanks for flying the flag and trying to keep the Republic safe.
Speaker 105 I appreciate it.
Speaker 22 Can I ask you a quick question on the Donald Trump
Speaker 13 lawsuits?
Speaker 79 Is the Supreme Court going to rule that this is unconstitutional?
Speaker 88 I mean, how can you keep somebody
Speaker 71 off a ballot quoting the Constitution if the guy has never even been charged with insurrection?
Speaker 90 Yeah, that seems really problematic to me,
Speaker 90 problematic on many levels,
Speaker 90 including especially the fact that
Speaker 90 not one person,
Speaker 90 certainly not Donald Trump, has even been charged with, much less convicted of, the crime of insurrection.
Speaker 90 Donald Trump hasn't
Speaker 90 been convicted of anything close to that. He hasn't been convicted of anything, in fact.
Speaker 90 And so this is an act of lawlessness. There are some other more technical,
Speaker 90 less intuitive reasons in there. Some of the language used in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment specifically references some offices, not the presidency,
Speaker 90 indicating that it does not apply to President Trump.
Speaker 90 But in any event, for three or four independent reasons, I will be shocked if the Supreme Court does anything other than overturn the Colorado Supreme Court,
Speaker 90 which acted lawlessly and in a pretty shameless political maneuver. I will not be surprised at all if the decision is either unanimous or near-unanimous.
Speaker 69 It would have to be.
Speaker 90
And they're going to have to act soon because otherwise this is going to cause absolute chaos. And you may see this metastasized throughout the country.
So
Speaker 90 the court likes to be deliberative, so this will require them to act more quickly than they normally do, but I think they will.
Speaker 90 I suspect that within a few weeks of argument, you may see the opinion of the court released.
Speaker 114 Well, it's already too late in Denver or in Colorado.
Speaker 113 It's already too late.
Speaker 25 They've already printed the ballots, and his name is not on it.
Speaker 108 And there are states now saying, oh, you want to play that game?
Speaker 24 Too can play that game.
Speaker 25 I mean, this is
Speaker 7 we have constitutional crisis after constitutional crisis, and I don't hear anyone calling it that.
Speaker 25 And it needs to be.
Speaker 79 But it is. Well,
Speaker 90 because
Speaker 90 it is a constitutional crisis. I've issued
Speaker 90 and made some tweets about that one over the holidays on my bass microwave account
Speaker 90 that explains some of the reasons why this thing is so out of control.
Speaker 90 I even wrote a rudimentary song about Sheena, Sheena Bellows, the Secretary of State in Maine, who reached the same decision.
Speaker 90 This song, which I've released to no one,
Speaker 90 is called
Speaker 90 It's to the Tune of Sheena is a Punk Rocker by the Ramones, and it's something along the lines lines of Sheena is a woke Marxist, but we'll leave that one for a different day.
Speaker 36 Mike Lee, rewriting the Ramones.
Speaker 84 Fantastic. Thank you, Mike.
Speaker 18 Appreciate it.
Speaker 90 Thanks so much, Blenny. God bless.
Speaker 40 Remember this phrase.
Speaker 114 No border, no budget.
Speaker 146 It's 2024.
Speaker 15 A lot of Americans trying to get their finances in order, and a lot of them are worried about what's going to happen.
Speaker 119 If the economy continues to go down the tubes,
Speaker 108 it might be them, and I get it.
Speaker 104 Might be you, might be me.
Speaker 102 It's a scary time.
Speaker 18 Now, what do we do about it?
Speaker 20 Well, we shore ourselves up and do the best we can to make sure that we're prepared.
Speaker 7 We don't hide our head in the sand, and we prepare, and then we just move on with our life.
Speaker 17 Now, if you have high interest credit cards, your interest rate is the average now is 25%.
Speaker 100 That's nuts.
Speaker 6 Some of them are higher.
Speaker 17 If you're being buried in high interest debt, American Financing can help you access the cash in your home to pay off that high interest debt.
Speaker 19 And it's a lot better paying a 5% interest than it is 25% or 30% or 35%.
Speaker 17 Last year, their salary-based mortgage consultants helped customers from this audience save an average of $854 a month.

Speaker 132 Today, the premiere of the real story of Colony Ridge, Blaze Originals, hosted by me, I take you into the development in Houston, just outside of Houston, called Colony Ridge.
Speaker 6 What is the real story there?
Speaker 116 We had a hard time finding it.
Speaker 17 I interviewed the developer John Harris to get an idea of the demographics of illegal citizens versus illegal immigrants living in Colony Ridge.
Speaker 5 He gave me one story, and then I got a different one from the county sheriff, Bobby Rader.
Speaker 19 Listen.
Speaker 93 Is it majority American citizens? Sure, absolutely.
Speaker 57 Really?
Speaker 41 Do you have any idea what the
Speaker 93 percentage is? Yeah. No, because
Speaker 93 we don't ask, and we really can't as a citizen.
Speaker 73 How do you know that it's the majority?
Speaker 57 Well,
Speaker 93 Texas driver's license, social security number,
Speaker 93 I'm guessing. Right,
Speaker 93 because a lot of foreign-born folks can have those things. Okay.
Speaker 109 All right.
Speaker 78 You don't collect citizenship information, though.
Speaker 93 We don't.
Speaker 92 Any idea of how many are illegal to legal, even?
Speaker 52 You want my idea?
Speaker 73 Yeah.
Speaker 52 Based on the reports from my sergeant that works that area, their account is the majority of the people up there are illegal aliens.
Speaker 93 The majority. The majority.
Speaker 150 It is
Speaker 108 quite a tale. And I don't want to.
Speaker 48 There is a sweaty mess interview that after we did this interview, we thought
Speaker 29 that looked like a parody of a 60-minute interview.
Speaker 43 It was remarkable.

Speaker 76 Welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
Speaker 62 It is Thursday.
Speaker 37 There's a lot on our plate.
Speaker 31 Trump is now in court for closing arguments in his New York City fraud trial, which I,
Speaker 41 you know, when there is no victim of the fraud, I don't know how they continue with the trial, as we found out from one of the testimonies of Deutsche Bank.
Speaker 64 You know, we expect this from all clients.
Speaker 37 That's why we do our own homework.
Speaker 119 But they're still going.
Speaker 104 He was wanting to give his final argument himself.
Speaker 97 Judge overruled that he can't do it.
Speaker 50 So we'll see what happens today.
Speaker 40 Final arguments in in his fraud trial today. It'd be one down and 870,000 to go.
Speaker 40 We also have news on a new Blaze Media documentary.
Speaker 88 It is on Colony Ridge.
Speaker 42 If you don't remember what that is, Colony Ridge is
Speaker 40 a housing development that is beyond your imagination large, okay?
Speaker 42 Larger than Manhattan.
Speaker 15 And
Speaker 56 they are selling homes to new citizens.
Speaker 40 I'm going to take you through that, but the documentary is open today
Speaker 40 for Blaze TV subscribers.
Speaker 31 And I will tell you that I think everybody's gotten this story wrong.
Speaker 64 Everybody's tried to make it about, you know, the murders or, you know, the
Speaker 45 cartels.
Speaker 71 That's not the story.
Speaker 64 The story really is entirely different and ties directly to you.
Speaker 62 You watch it in a Blaze Original, our documentary on Colony Ridge hosted by me and my
Speaker 40 chief researcher.
Speaker 53 You don't want to miss it.

Speaker 41 All right, we get to Peter Giedel, who is

Speaker 65 That is our tech column on blaze.com, and he is at the Consumer Electronics Show.
Speaker 40 He's there to check out what are the trends, what's coming, how is AI affecting?
Speaker 31 Are you seeing anything about cryptocurrency?
Speaker 134 What is happening with
Speaker 38 Bitcoin, etc.?
Speaker 62 What's on the horizon this year?
Speaker 40 He's going to be joining us here in just a second.
Speaker 17 First, internet scams come in all shapes and sizes, and while all of them are bad, some are just downright despicable.
Speaker 40 Most recent, nefarious one is fake charities claiming to provide aid to those caught in the Middle East conflict. As somebody whose company actually works to help those people, I find this
Speaker 29 especially sickening and galling.

Speaker 17 He is also a tech journalist, magazine editor, essayist. He covers human stories in the digital age from crypto to AI to transhumanism.
Speaker 8 He lives in Colorado.
Speaker 85 Hello, Peter. How are you?
Speaker 90 I'm doing really well. Thank you so much for having me on today.
Speaker 13 By the way,
Speaker 102 big fan.
Speaker 51 Love your writing.
Speaker 7 You just did something on
Speaker 119 virtual sex,
Speaker 69 one of the essays, and it was unbelievable and unbelievably spot on.
Speaker 102 So big fan.
Speaker 90 Thank you very much.
Speaker 90 That's very kind.
Speaker 90 Researching that story was tough talking to a lot of young men who are dealing with an
Speaker 90 addiction right now.
Speaker 90 It was tough, but
Speaker 90 yeah, it's crazy what's happening in that space and where society is going with pornography.
Speaker 18 So tell me, you're at the Consumer Electronic Show.
Speaker 104 What is the feeling there on what's new, exciting, spooky?
Speaker 146 What's happening?
Speaker 90 Well, it's, I mean, you know, Consumer Electronic Show, it always is rolling out some of the coolest new tech we'll see in the year.
Speaker 90 You know, they've rolled out the VCR and home video game systems in the past.
Speaker 90 I'm seeing a lot of
Speaker 90 AI everything. They're trying to
Speaker 90 integrate artificial intelligence, large language models, with every conceivable type of technology and gadget. Now, I mean, most of these things are, okay, do you need AI for your toilet?
Speaker 90 Probably not.
Speaker 90 But I think we're definitely going to see some products that break through and are utilizing this technology in ways that will have transformative effects on society.
Speaker 79 Like what?
Speaker 90 You know,
Speaker 90 there's a lot of integrations coming of
Speaker 90 you know, there's forward-facing consumer products like ChatGPT that
Speaker 90 people are using and you know, sometimes it's silly stuff like making photos. but I think there's a lot in the background of like you know
Speaker 90 companies that are creating AI that could do a lot of contract work that a lot of lawyers do now.
Speaker 19 How far away are we from a personal assistant that is really good?
Speaker 90 In my opinion, we're very close.
Speaker 90 There's some products here already that are utilizing AI to basically interact with your apps.
Speaker 90 So
Speaker 90 instead of researching best flights, you know, if you're trying to go to New York City for vacation, you can just tell the AI to find the app and book your plane, and it just does it with one touch.
Speaker 90 So I think
Speaker 90 it's very reasonable to think
Speaker 90 within 18 months, we're going to see an assistant that's
Speaker 90 very competent and is taking away a lot of menial tasks
Speaker 90 away from a person.
Speaker 62 Have you seen the doll moxie yet?
Speaker 90 Unfortunately, it is burned in my brain.
Speaker 100 Terrifying, right?
Speaker 114 Terrifying. Yes.
Speaker 3 Okay, so this is a doll for children.
Speaker 84 It's a robot doll for children.
Speaker 102 Explain.
Speaker 90 Yeah, so I wrote about this in a diary for on return, and
Speaker 90 it was in the Amazon like home of the future. So, you know, it's got all kinds of creepy Amazon Alexa integrated tech where your bed is watching you at night and
Speaker 90
you can talk to Alexa pumps its voice into your head through glasses. So you know standard Amazon stuff.
But then I got to the Moxie and it's
Speaker 90 I mean it
Speaker 90 You almost have to see it in person to really realize how creepy it is, but it's this small robot with this
Speaker 90 human-like face
Speaker 90 that's on a screen, but it's all integrated with ChatGPT-4 and it's designed to talk to children.
Speaker 90 And I mean, if you go on YouTube, there's a lot of clips of it asking kids very creepy, weird questions, and it was incredibly disconcerting.
Speaker 69 Yeah, but good news is it'll go up to the cloud and all of that information about your child will be there forever.
Speaker 90 Exactly.
Speaker 90 And the good thing is
Speaker 90 you don't have to raise your hand anymore. You can just rely on this robot to do it for you.
Speaker 17 Thank you, Amazon.
Speaker 129 That's great.
Speaker 17 What's the talk about central bank digital currencies and
Speaker 11 kind of the we're going to make all of your problems disappear?
Speaker 21 Just give us everything you are.
Speaker 90
Absolutely. There's, you know, there's some talk of it.
You know, a lot of people, it's hard to get them on record.
Speaker 90 You know, they express fears and concerns even with, you know, they work at these tech companies, but obviously they don't want to go on record.
Speaker 90 You know, the CBDC, I would encourage your listeners to do some research.
Speaker 90 There's a great, we have some articles on Return kind of summarizing in their own words all the people who are advocating for this technology.
Speaker 90 So it's kind of this
Speaker 90 sort of Damocles that's hanging over everything. But one thing I'll I'll say that I was noticing is there's a ton of companies that are harvesting biometric data your health your health things
Speaker 90 and then what they're doing with that technology or with that information you no one knows there's a
Speaker 90 there's a mirror like a literal black mirror
Speaker 90 called spirit it's by a company called Barracuda BeMind
Speaker 90 and when you wake up in the morning it will use technology to read your mood and what you're kind of thinking almost, and then
Speaker 90 give you soothing music to make you feel better because the mirror can tell that you're having a bad
Speaker 90 depression or a bad day. And then
Speaker 90 again, they're harvesting all of this data. and what they're going to use it for
Speaker 90 and assuming that it's going to be tied into digital health records and then into CBDCs, to me is not a big leap. I think that that's it's really right around the corner.
Speaker 51 Yeah, I tell you, the digital IDs are
Speaker 25 truly between that and CBDC, it just shuts everything down.
Speaker 26 I mean, total control of your life.
Speaker 26 Absolutely.
Speaker 86 I was just looking at the latest return.
Speaker 81 You can just search for it, just Google return blaze, and you'll see it, the ultimate guide to escaping the surveillance state.
Speaker 16 Possible, even?
Speaker 72 Is that possible?
Speaker 90 It's very difficult, but
Speaker 90 there are some steps
Speaker 90 within that piece and other places online. There's things that you can start doing now to protect your digital identity, your privacy, and your sovereignty.
Speaker 63 X seeks to disclose FBI surveillance requests to users is another story.
Speaker 86 Tech leaders building a city in California.
Speaker 29 Not at all worried about public backlash or accusations of foreign ties, says the CEO.
Speaker 81 Let's see.
Speaker 7 Some of the other stories.
Speaker 16 I mean, just really great.
Speaker 86 And your diary from CES, day one, AI everything.
Speaker 58 Are you generally
Speaker 20 optimistic as a human being seeing all of this stuff or not?
Speaker 90 I mean, I would say in general, I'm somebody who got into tech journalism because I actually generally love technology. And I think that there's some really
Speaker 90 cool and amazing things that we can create with this. I mean, I saw this company there, actually several companies are creating kind of like haptic feedback
Speaker 90 canes for blind children that will give them a signal if there's someone in front of them just by kind of buzzing
Speaker 90 on their their hand. And they were saying it's like really revolutionizing and helping
Speaker 90
blind children. So obviously there's a ton of technology that's beautiful and incredible and makes our lives better each day.
But
Speaker 90 there are really some trends that are very concerning about
Speaker 90 just technocratic, monopolistic, giant company control, government control over your life. And they're going to be wielding a lot of power with this information and this digital control.
Speaker 90 And I mean, you've talked about this in your books and on your show over the years. And it's, we really have to be on guard about what's coming and, you know, try to resist it as much as we can.
Speaker 79 Because it is here.
Speaker 137 I mean, we are at,
Speaker 15 I think we've already taken our first step over the threshold into a lot of this tech that quickly can
Speaker 17 enslave us in ways that you can't even imagine today.
Speaker 17 Absolutely.
Speaker 1 Peter. I mean, I think that's...
Speaker 113 No, go ahead.
Speaker 79 Finish.
Speaker 90 I was just, you know, I think that, you know, James Polos founded Return.
Speaker 90
He's the host of Zero Hour. And, you know, our goal is to try and hold on to our humanity in the digital age.
And, you know, it's hard, but it's worthwhile.
Speaker 69 Peter Giedel.
Speaker 34 He is Blaze Media Managing Editor for Return, the tech magazine put out by Blaze.
Speaker 81 You can get it if you're a Blaze TV Plus subscriber.
Speaker 83 If you Google it, you're going to be able to find at least one of the later episodes, the latest episode, I think, today, or the latest edition of it.
Speaker 24 Peter, thank you very much.
Speaker 90 Thank you very much.
Speaker 18 When it comes to your mobile carrier, if you had to choose between great service or giving your money to a company that believes in your values, which would you choose?
Speaker 101 Tough question.
Speaker 16 Used to be, I didn't care what a company was doing.
Speaker 58 I, you know, I was in, in the old days, we all kind of agreed on things, you know.
Speaker 139 No, we really didn't.
Speaker 17 A lot of people were just keeping that to themselves. That's why freedom of speech is so important.
Speaker 144 Wait a minute.
Speaker 51 You believe what?
Speaker 34 Now,
Speaker 60 there is good news.
Speaker 43 When you switch to Patriot Mobile, you are defending the Constitution.
Speaker 17 You are defending.
Speaker 25 You're help fighting those who don't believe in in these things.
Speaker 13 In fact, Patriot Mobile is the only Christian conservative wireless provider in America.
Speaker 18 Their mission statement, to passionately defend our God-given constitutional rights and freedoms, and to glorify God always.
Speaker 17 So every time you subscribe, they use some of their profits to stand with you at school board meetings and everything else.
Speaker 54 It is really a remarkable company that will give you the same coverage, the same service, better customer service, and better prices.
Speaker 38 I don't know why you won't switch.
Speaker 84 Try it.
Speaker 124 Thousands in this audience are switching.
Speaker 35 It's patriotmobile.com/slash beck. Patriotmobile.com/slash beck.
Speaker 17 972 Patriot.
Speaker 53 That's 972 Patriot or PatriotMobile.com/slash Beck.
Speaker 19 10 seconds, station ID.
Speaker 68 So, Blaze TV is
Speaker 17 debuting today the second episode of our docuseries, Blaze Originals.
Speaker 18 This one, I traveled to the quickly evolving Liberty County, Texas, one of the reddest states in Texas, or reddest districts in Texas, to give you the real story of Colony Ridge.
Speaker 63 Colony Ridge is growing fast, extremely fast, at the rate of 200 family lots per week.
Speaker 7 And based on what I observed firsthand, the overwhelming percentage of residents are Spanish-speaking non-citizens.
Speaker 20 I spoke to the developer, John Harris.
Speaker 86 He told me about 35,000 people live there.
Speaker 20 Local officials, I said, no, no, no.
Speaker 130 It's at least twice that.
Speaker 25 Either way, there are going to be hundreds of thousands of people living on the outskirts of Houston that are not citizens and do not speak English.
Speaker 68 Why is this important?
Speaker 18 You'll find out when you watch it.
Speaker 86 Go to Blazoriginals.com, Blazoriginals.com, and you can use the promo code Colony Ridge and watch it right now.
Speaker 17 It's on demand.
Speaker 20 Blazoriginals.com.
Speaker 77 Sign up.
Speaker 20 Colony Ridge is your promo code, and you'll save 30 bucks off your annual subscription.
Speaker 6 And that will unlock all of the doors so you can enjoy everything
Speaker 81 that Blaze TV and Blaze TV Plus has to offer.
Speaker 17 Do we have enough time, Sarah?
Speaker 139 We do.
Speaker 81 I want to play a clip from the Blaze original.
Speaker 71 This is an interesting
Speaker 19 section in the documentary.
Speaker 24 I sat down with a couple of residents from Colony Ridge.
Speaker 132 And
Speaker 7 they talked about their pain, the development has caused them.
Speaker 7 They're not happy, let's just put it that way.
Speaker 63 But the interview really kind of hit a climax when Sanchez sisters revealed how Colony Ridge is advertising to its potential residents.
Speaker 25 Listen to this.
Speaker 86 They aggressively advertise online and almost entirely in Spanish.
Speaker 95 So I'm just going to place one of the videos and do my best to translate it. Okay.
Speaker 95 Are you tired of paying that toxic rent from that same apartment?
Speaker 95 Change your habits.
Speaker 95 And you can be a landowner with us very easily.
Speaker 95 Public space like this
Speaker 95 where you can put your trailer or build the house of your dreams.
Speaker 95 If you want your home to be in three floors, you can do that.
Speaker 95 We're here to help you so that your family can live freely here
Speaker 95 in the USA.
Speaker 114 Now,
Speaker 124 the developer said, well,
Speaker 17 we advertise in Spanish, but we don't advertise
Speaker 108 in Latin America.
Speaker 17 Well, yes and no.
Speaker 136 The Internet is clearly without borders.
Speaker 139 However, there are some things that you can do to make sure that you have more access to Latin America, and we'll show you that.
Speaker 24 And in the ads, they talk about coming to America, etc.
Speaker 62 And at least really allude to it.
Speaker 71 I want to make sure I'm very careful on everything I'm saying here.
Speaker 104 We fact-checked absolutely everything, and you will see what happened when we reached out to the governor of the great state of Texas.
Speaker 63 Did he talk to us?
Speaker 34 We emailed, we called,
Speaker 29 we wrote just in case he only does snail mail.
Speaker 28 We tried to contact him over and over and over again and never got a return call.
Speaker 33 Does it have anything to do with the money he accepted from the developer's brother?
Speaker 37 $1.4 million.
Speaker 50 Find out tonight and right now.
Speaker 40 Blaze TV on demand.
Speaker 97 Glenn Beck.
Speaker 17 In the 1960s, 95% of the clothing Americans bought was made right here in the U.S.
Speaker 77 Now,
Speaker 18 97% of it is made overseas.
Speaker 17 There is a company that is actually trying to change that.
Speaker 151 It's called American Giant.
Speaker 14 Two years ago, I met the founder and the president of the company.
Speaker 12 He's a remarkable guy.
Speaker 108 I had him on my podcast.
Speaker 17 He created American Giant by rescuing a clothing factory that was about to shut down in North Carolina.
Speaker 116 They started producing quality American clothing with American-grown cotton and American workers.
Speaker 52 They retrained everybody, brought in the old mill, the old
Speaker 142 fabric mills, brought the machines back that had been sold to Japan years ago so they can make that classic 1950s, 1960s hoodie that was unlike any hoodie or any sweatshirt ever.
Speaker 53 They have great clothing and the money stays here in the United States, and more jobs are created by American.
Speaker 134 American-giant.com/slash Glenn. That's American-giant.com/slash Glenn.
Speaker 53 Use my name and save 20% off your first order.
Speaker 37 Welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
Speaker 74 We're glad you're here.
Speaker 88 I just
Speaker 48 have to express some disgust for journalists that have were caught on tape making assassination jokes about President Trump.
Speaker 137 One of the first things you learn when you're in the media is you never joke about that ever.
Speaker 77 It's not funny.
Speaker 51 It's something that the Secret Service will be all over you for if you joke about it.
Speaker 17 They don't have a sense of humor about that, nor should we have a sense of humor about that.
Speaker 1 Yeah, we had an incident a few years ago where Glenn threatened my life. And no one seemed to care about that.
Speaker 1 But when they thought it was mistaken, I guess, for a threat against someone else, and we had the Secret Service visiting us.
Speaker 17 And the Secret Service came out and they said, look,
Speaker 26 we know.
Speaker 124 We just have to check this out. Right.
Speaker 1 And which was fine.
Speaker 1 However, I was a little concerned when the answer was, no, I was only threatening Stu's life.
Speaker 111 And everyone was like, oh, that's fine.
Speaker 1 Oh, no big deal there.
Speaker 17 And we don't joke about that.
Speaker 88 I mean, that is the one thing.
Speaker 149 I think it's probably the only line that we really have a hard mark on.
Speaker 1 Because, you know, look, we all know what has happened in our history.
Speaker 1 No one wants to play anywhere close to those lines.
Speaker 126 And we don't even joke about it off-air.
Speaker 114 Never.
Speaker 5 Never.
Speaker 115 Anyway, these reporters, here they are
Speaker 41 waiting for Trump to show up at the courthouse.
Speaker 46 Listen to this. Work at the convertible?
Speaker 155 Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 155 I wasn't thinking about that. Yeah.
Speaker 155 Like, if he just pulls up like JFK,
Speaker 155 there's like a JFK aluminum.
Speaker 155 I can't think of the other side of the idea.
Speaker 155 No, of course. oh, maybe someone, just like they told JFK, you know what you should do? You should take a convertible.
Speaker 155 It's so nice out here.
Speaker 100 Wow.
Speaker 1 I mean, it's a little hard to hear.
Speaker 42 And look,
Speaker 1 to not go too crazy here, they are joking. Clearly, no one's going to actually try to assassinate a presidential candidate out of this crew.
Speaker 139 I completely agree.
Speaker 151 Imagine you and I off air.
Speaker 44 Well, that's the other line.
Speaker 51 These people would be fired. We'd be fired.
Speaker 1 We would be thrown out nobody would ever forgive us or let us work ever again these are journalists doing this not even people who are like wise ass comedy talk show hosts right like this is like these are supposedly journalists covering these stories accurately for you okay are they
Speaker 108 so here's something else the journalists uh probably aren't uh loving today
Speaker 108 uh we have fauci
Speaker 88 yesterday sat before the House coronavirus subcommittee for a seven-hour stretch of questioning about the pandemic response that he oversaw.
Speaker 20 He said,
Speaker 121 well,
Speaker 75 actually, it's
Speaker 43 not a conspiracy theory that Wuhan lab leak.
Speaker 74 Well, wait a minute.
Speaker 33 I thought it was.
Speaker 17 I thought you condemned that every step of the way. Why is it suddenly not a conspiracy theory?
Speaker 68 Then he also said the six-foot social distancing thing.
Speaker 149 Yeah, I mean,
Speaker 53 it really didn't
Speaker 17 do anything. It wasn't based in any science.
Speaker 60 Oh, like we said.
Speaker 1 It's fascinating because these posters are everywhere still and they were ubiquitous. The little stickers on the floor.
Speaker 56 Yeah, everywhere.
Speaker 1 Now, look, everyone knows the farther you stand away from someone is probably the less likely that you'll catch something from them.
Speaker 1 But like, they made it seem like the six-foot line was a force field, right? Like, you know, if you stand here and they're six feet away, don't worry, everything's going to be fine.
Speaker 1
They told America that over and over and over and over again. And now it's like, ah, it wasn't really based on anything.
Come on. We all know it wasn't based on anything, right?
Speaker 109 Well, I don't know.
Speaker 1 You spent
Speaker 88 changed everybody's life.
Speaker 1 How much money did companies spend putting those signs up?
Speaker 110 I mean,
Speaker 1 billions of dollars, I bet, just to warn people to stay six feet apart. And at the end of the day, it wasn't really based on anything.
Speaker 56 Crazy.
Speaker 107 Then, you know, we heard that the art gallerist that was tasked with selling Hunter Biden's paintings,
Speaker 108 you know, met with President Biden and attended the wedding of the first family.
Speaker 116 So, what happened in the meeting?
Speaker 56 What was all that?
Speaker 126 And I thought nobody in the White House had anything to do with anybody that had anything to do with
Speaker 51 Hunter Biden's art.
Speaker 114 Now,
Speaker 85 Hunter Biden,
Speaker 54 I think a case can be made that he's intentionally sabotaging his father.
Speaker 17 And I've said this from the beginning.
Speaker 60 Who leaves a laptop like that?
Speaker 58 Who does that?
Speaker 63 Yes, you're a crack addict, but
Speaker 32 really you just leave it there and you ignore the calls to come and get it?
Speaker 19 That doesn't seem right, but again, he's a crackhead.
Speaker 104 Same thing is going on.
Speaker 17 Who advised him not to show up for the subpoena and instead go to the Senate side and stand there and give a press conference a couple of weeks ago?
Speaker 141 Who advised him of that?
Speaker 20 That was a good idea.
Speaker 112 By doing so, he opened up yet another Pandora's box where the goal posts can't even be seen anymore by the White House where they're like, okay, well, he wasn't actually
Speaker 17 a part of his son's threesome.
Speaker 68 I mean, it's crazy what he did.
Speaker 1 He's watching the whole time, but he wasn't actually involved in it.
Speaker 1 Technically, it would have been a foursome if he jumped in.
Speaker 79 So
Speaker 149 anyway,
Speaker 68 and then yesterday, he walks in to
Speaker 63 the subcommittee hearing, the oversight hearing, about holding him in contempt.
Speaker 17 He just walks in.
Speaker 142 Watch.
Speaker 79 Listen.
Speaker 57 To come answer the committee's questions under oath before the American people. This is the same time that they stand by the categorical non-compliance of Republican members of Congress like Mr.
Speaker 57 Jordan, who have material information unannounced
Speaker 42 Hunter Biden and one guy who looks like an attorney, the other guy who honestly looks like a drug dealer.
Speaker 114 I thought it was Larry Flint for a second.
Speaker 143 He just looks scummy, doesn't he?
Speaker 55 I mean, he might be the greatest guy ever.
Speaker 108 I don't know, but I'm judging that book by a cover right now.
Speaker 54 And they walk in, they sit there, they don't say anything, and then you start to have, you know, questions
Speaker 108 coming at him
Speaker 149 and
Speaker 10 saying, you know, you're a coward.
Speaker 126 And what are you doing?
Speaker 54 You're mocking this whole thing by showing up now when we're considering contempt
Speaker 17 and you're showing up now just to sit there and mock the proceeding,
Speaker 63 you are a coward.
Speaker 7 And he gets up and he walks out.
Speaker 1 It's interesting. I mean, I don't know what to think about it.
Speaker 1 It could be that he's, you know, trying to undercut his dad, but I don't know. I mean, it's not really consistent with a lot of the stuff he's doing.
Speaker 1 He's certainly very defensive of him in public when he's asked. Part of me thinks that he,
Speaker 1 I don't know, I feel like there's a situation where he was hoping all of this would go away.
Speaker 1 And he, you know, he'd write his book, he'd do do his tell-all, he'd do his interviews, and it would be over. And he's a, he's a Democrat.
Speaker 1 And now this keeps getting escalated and he feels like no one's fighting for me.
Speaker 1 There's been reporting behind the scenes that he's frustrated at his dad and the administration who won't outwardly fight for him.
Speaker 1 They just keep saying, well, he's had his problems and, you know, but we love him. And he wants more than that.
Speaker 1 He wants a, you know, a visceral defense of him as a good person and someone who didn't do anything wrong. The old school Joe Biden, like what Joe Biden used to say, my son has done nothing wrong.
Speaker 1 You know, the old May 2023 Joe Biden. And as this has gotten worse and the election or the
Speaker 1 evidence has become much, much worse,
Speaker 1
you know, the White House has been more hesitant to come out. Now it's like, oh, well, what they're doing to him is cruel.
That's all, that's all there.
Speaker 1 That's about as big a defense that the White House is giving now.
Speaker 1 So
Speaker 1 the kind of.
Speaker 59 I mean, they could be worse.
Speaker 69 It could be son.
Speaker 34 I have no son.
Speaker 1 Yeah, it could be them.
Speaker 6 They have a granddaughter.
Speaker 56 He's like, that's what they do with them. Yeah.
Speaker 1 Granddaughter, screw them. But I mean, I think there might be a part of Hunter Biden who's like, you know, if they're not going to do it, I'm going to do it.
Speaker 1 I'm not going to allow myself to get rolled over by these people. I'm going to come out here and I'm going to make a spectacle of it.
Speaker 1
And he wants the attention. I don't know.
I mean, look, I think he does. It's very possible, too.
He's just high on crack.
Speaker 1 Well, so that could be explaining his activity.
Speaker 54 Well, as he was walking out,
Speaker 132 the pool of press reporters were out on the other side of the door, and and one reporter shouted, what kind of crack do you normally smoke, Mr.
Speaker 4 Biden?
Speaker 121 Now,
Speaker 9 I didn't know that there were different makers of crack.
Speaker 4 I don't know a lot about crack.
Speaker 66 In fact, I know very little about crack.
Speaker 152 But.
Speaker 1 I mean, you've only done it a few times, right?
Speaker 88 But I didn't know, is there like a menthol crack?
Speaker 6 Is there a filtered crack?
Speaker 1 I mean, I assume there are brand names and
Speaker 1 different carriers.
Speaker 129 Ask for it by name.
Speaker 1
Like the El Chapo brand might be the strongest. I don't know.
That's a good question.
Speaker 117 Yeah.
Speaker 51 When you call up your crack dealer, do you go like, I need crack?
Speaker 107 And he's like, duh, what brand of crack?
Speaker 1 Isn't this the case with like pot? Like there's like a million different strains of it and like that you can, they all have like the fan.
Speaker 1 What was the movie, the Seth Rogue Pineapple Express? Isn't that one of them?
Speaker 79 It's been a long time.
Speaker 72 As you can tell, I'm a big drug user.
Speaker 117 But like, you know, we both are.
Speaker 110 I'm really cool, too.
Speaker 1 But I do remember that one movie from 10 years ago that had a pot reference in it. So, but I mean, I would assume, I mean, this is capitalism, right?
Speaker 1 At some level, like, you're going to have your different varieties. You got red velvet Oreos, you got regular Oreos, you got double stuffs, you got Finns, you got goldens.
Speaker 1 I mean, there's a million different varieties of this stuff.
Speaker 122 And you're right.
Speaker 114 And they are all Oreos in the end.
Speaker 1 The end of the day, they're going to make you favorite.
Speaker 122 What kind of Oreo do you like?
Speaker 58 Yeah, you're right.
Speaker 65 You're right.
Speaker 20 Then another reporter said, what's your favorite type of crack?
Speaker 106 Again,
Speaker 17 the kind that gets you high.
Speaker 68 I mean, what is he supposed to say there?
Speaker 88 And finally, a reporter asked, are you on crack today?
Speaker 34 He didn't answer,
Speaker 68 but his action showed, maybe, maybe, very possibly, yes.
Speaker 18 Let me take a moment to tell you about Antoinette.
Speaker 20 She found out that she was pregnant, and she realized she was in deep, deep trouble.
Speaker 31 She had no idea how she was going to raise a child on her own.
Speaker 29 So she did what society tells you to do.
Speaker 87 She began looking for an abortion clinic.
Speaker 108 Literally, a miracle, by the grace of God, she found a pre-born clinic instead.
Speaker 19 She met her baby on ultrasound.
Speaker 66 When she saw the face and she heard the heartbeat, she broke down crying and the nurse reminded her, babies are blessings.
Speaker 51 Choose life.
Speaker 107 She did.
Speaker 87 Her daughter's name is Treasure because she's a gift from God.
Speaker 131 There are millions of babies to be saved.
Speaker 143 Each one of these babies is a miracle and every day pre-born celebrates 200 miracles.
Speaker 104 $28 a month might be the difference between life and death of a child.
Speaker 77 When a mom meets her baby on an ultrasound and hears the heartbeat, it's a divine connection that doubles the baby's chance at life.
Speaker 87 So let's join together, help moms choose life, take care of them for up to two years after to make sure that we save not only the baby but also mom.

Speaker 40 Charlie Sheen is an icon of decadence.
Speaker 156 I lit the fuse and my life turns into everything it wasn't supposed to be.
Speaker 79 He's going the distance.
Speaker 1
He was the highest paid TV star of all time. When it started to change, it was query.
He kept saying, no, no, no, I'm in the hospital now, but next week I'll be ready for the show.
Speaker 2 Now, Charlie's sober. He's going to tell you the truth.
Speaker 147 How do I present this with any class?
Speaker 1 I think we're past that, Charlie.
Speaker 156 We're past that, yeah.
Speaker 1 Somebody call action.
Speaker 33 AKA Charlie Sheen, only on Netflix, September 10th.
Speaker 40 So the Biden administration is announcing a new contractor rule.
Speaker 31 This is really good.
Speaker 37 Is it? Oh, it's so good.
Speaker 57 Well,
Speaker 16 they did it in California, and everyone, left, right, and in the middle, has called it an absolute disaster.
Speaker 146 But the U.S. Department of Labor is
Speaker 20 going to answer to the massive growth experienced by the gig economy.
Speaker 77 They think that 36% of American workers, or about 57.2 million people before the pandemic, and now 73 million people
Speaker 9 after the pandemic,
Speaker 114 You shouldn't be able to work the way you want to in the gig economy.
Speaker 31 You shouldn't be able to drive that Uber.
Speaker 141 You shouldn't be able to make those decisions for yourself.
Speaker 73 No, no. No.
Speaker 132 No.
Speaker 86 They want to make it more difficult for companies to treat workers as independent contractors rather than employees because employees are generally entitled to more benefits and legal protections.
Speaker 10 Yeah, that's why companies don't hire a lot of people like that because the government regulations make it so expensive to hire and fire and to provide for.
Speaker 17 So they go to gig workers and people now in this economy where people literally have up to five different jobs, many of them gigs,
Speaker 115 that's the only thing keeping them afloat.
Speaker 60 But screw you, 73 million people.
Speaker 31 He knows better than you do.
Speaker 56 Not Congress, but the Labor Department.
Speaker 20 So the Secretary of Labor is going to put this in.
Speaker 1
And this is going to be a tough battle in Congress to pass a law like this. What will happen in the battle of Congress? Will Republicans go along? Oh, wait.
They don't have to do any of that?
Speaker 1 They're just going to pass.
Speaker 117 Yeah, no.
Speaker 79 No, it's not a Republic.
Speaker 113 It's not a Republican.
Speaker 114 It's incredible.
Speaker 1 We used to have these things where we would have these big debates, and then they would go on the floor of the Senate, and they would blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Speaker 1
And we'd hear this whole thing and would build up for months. Now it's just like, ah, let's pass a rule.
Oh, you know, student loans.
Speaker 111 They're all exempted.
Speaker 27 Well, honestly, why do we even, why, and I I mean this sincerely with much respect to people like Chip Roy, why do we go out and vote for these representatives?
Speaker 88 When it comes to the budget, none of them have read the budget.
Speaker 18 None of them even know about the budget.
Speaker 68 It's just the four leaders of the House and the Senate.
Speaker 55 They get together, they cobble together a deal, and then they rush it to the floor and say, you got to vote by tomorrow or else.
Speaker 115 And nobody even reads it.
Speaker 86 It's, you know, in the olden days in 2008, when we wanted transparency and everything, and I'm going to pass a law where everybody has to read the bill within 72 hours.
Speaker 68 Nobody reads it because nobody's allowed to see it.
Speaker 104 Mike Lee was on today.
Speaker 18 He said, I don't even know what's in the budget.
Speaker 85 They're negotiating, but I'm not allowed to read it.
Speaker 115 Like, why can't I read what they're negotiating?
Speaker 3 I can be for or against.
Speaker 115 Why am I not a part of this? I don't know, Senator.
Speaker 42 Because we don't have a republic anymore.
Speaker 17 And And now the Biden administration is pushing this through.
Speaker 10 It's going to go through the Labor Department, which will mean another Supreme Court decision.
Speaker 133 Will you be able to keep your job as a gig worker, driving Uber, or whatever it is you do?
Speaker 28 Can you be a contract worker in America?
Speaker 3 Oh, no, says King Biden.
Speaker 133 That's not a republic.
