You know all those fad diets.

Half of Americans do it.

And if you do it enough, you could be at risk of diabetes, liver damage, heart attack, and stroke.

Weight cycling is when you lose 10 or more pounds, but then you put the pounds back on, plus a couple more.

That puts tremendous strain on your organs and can lead to serious health issues.

Bottom line, most people need help to stop weight cycling.

And this is why I want to tell you about non-prescription lean, created by doctors.

Lean is an oral supplement, not a GLP-1 injectable.

It uses studied ingredients, which Lean says target weight loss in three powerful ways, maintaining healthy blood sugar, helping control appetite and cravings, burning fat by converting it to energy.

And burning fat helps keep the weight off.

If you want to lose meaningful weight at a healthy pace and keep it off, consider adding lean to your diet and exercise lifestyle.

President Trump making a brief trip to Israel and Egypt today, celebrating the historic deal between Israel and Hamas, the first phase of ending the war and releasing the remaining hostages just over two years after the October 7th Hamas terrorist attack that led to the Israeli invasion.

The president speaking to reporters briefly from the tarmac prior to departure.

This is a very special event.

The Muslim and Arab countries are all cheering.

Everybody's cheering at one time.

That's never happened before.

Usually, if you have one cheering, the other isn't.

The other is the opposite.

This is the first time everybody is amazed and they're thrilled, and it's an honor to be involved.

And we're going to have an amazing time and it's going to be something that's never never happened before

it's unclear at exactly what time the hostages will be released though the deadline at least to release all 20 living hostages set at noon jerusalem time today or 7 p.m eastern according to the terms of the deal the bodies of the 28 deceased hostages to be released later the israeli coordinator for the hostages and the missing say some of the bodies may take time to recover as they could be buried under rubble.

President Trump first meeting with the newly freed hostages and families before delivering remarks to the Israeli Congress.

Then, Mr.

Trump departing for Egypt, where he is co-chairing the Gaza Peace Summit along with the President of Egypt.

Leaders from around the world joining in the summit aimed at bolstering peace and stability in the Middle East.

It is unclear if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will attend.

Hamas' leadership has said it will not join.

Once all of the hostages are released, Israel is expected to begin releasing nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.

Over the weekend, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Abraham Accord's architect and President Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who mediated the deal on behalf of the United States, speaking to thousands of Israelis gathered on Saturday in Tel Aviv.

Witkoff appearing visibly emotional, hearing the crowd chant, Thank you, Trump.

Trump.

That same crowd later booing at mention of Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Here, Witkoff and Kushner.

Tonight, we celebrate something extraordinary, a moment that many thought was impossible.

Yet here we stand, living proof that when courage meets conviction, miracles can happen.

A peace born not out of politics, but out of courage.

The courage of those who refuse to give up hope.

When things got tough and we ran into brick walls, every time that happened, we just said, let's make a new plan.

Let's try again.

What will rise from this trauma will be a level of greatness, a level of achievement, a level of impact on the world, a level of leadership that Israel has never seen.

The Wall Street Journal reporting on the behind-the-scenes negotiations leading Hamas to finally agree to giving up its most valuable bargaining chip, the hostages.

Quote, Egypt and Qatar warned the head of Hamas that if Hamas did not approve the plan, it would be stripped of all political and diplomatic cover.

Qatar and Turkey would no longer host the group's political leadership, and Egypt would stop pressing for Hamas to have a say in Gaza's post-war governance.

Much discussion and negotiation remains in determining the future of Gaza, the weekend events only marking the first phase of the Trump administration's 20-point plan to establish lasting peace.

Fox News reporting over the weekend: U.S.

troops will oversee the ceasefire.

Vice President J.D.

Vance, Sunday on Meet the Press, elaborating on what that looks like.

We're not planning to put boots on the ground.

What we already have is a U.S.

Central Command.

We already have people in that region of the world.

They're going to monitor the terms of the ceasefire.

They're going to monitor the ensure that the humanitarian aid is flowing.

They actually confirmed yesterday that Israel pulled back to the agreed-upon lines, which, of course, is the first condition.

The second condition, or the second term, is for the hostages to be released.

So, we have people in that region of the world who are going to monitor parts of this peace proposal.

So, what we've actually had, and this is one of the great successes of the president's diplomacy, from Indonesia to the Gulf Arab states, we've had a number of Muslim-majority countries offer to step up and have them put troops on the ground to secure Gaza.

It's not going to be necessary for American troops to be in Gaza.

Back in the U.S., even some Democrats conceding the historic nature of this deal, offering credit to President Trump.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Vice President Kamala Harris, and U.S.

Senator from Arizona, Mark Kelly.

It's a really significant first step, and I really commend President Trump and his administration, as well as

Arab leaders in the region, for making the commitment to the 20-point plan and seeing a a path forward.

I don't think that we should hold credit where it's due.

And I commend the people who have been a part of this process.

I'd commend the Qataris, the Egyptians, and the President.

I think he should get a lot of credit.

I mean, this was his deal.

He worked this out.

He sent Steve Witcoff and Jared Kushner over to negotiate this.

And it so far has gone well.

Barack Obama put out a generic post on X failing to mention President Trump by name.

Joe Biden's Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, commended Mr.

Trump for, quote, building on the plan the Biden administration developed after months of discussion with Arab partners, Israel, and the Palestinian Authority.

In other words, it was really Mr.

Biden's accomplishment.

Thanks.

Coming up, as the Trump administration battles in court over deploying the National Guard in Chicago, Vice President J.D.

Vance not ruling out invoking the Insurrection Act, and President Biden begins a new cancer treatment.

The Trump administration granted a temporary mixed ruling from an appeals court in the legal battle over the National Guard's deployment to Chicago.

On Saturday, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals allowing Mr.

Trump to federalize the National Guard in Illinois, something the lower court had banned, but leaving in place the ban on actually deploying them to the city of Chicago, at least for now.

For the time being, they will sit at their base in Elwood, Illinois, about 55 miles southwest of Chicago.

Quote, members of the National Guard do not need to return to their home states unless further ordered by a court to do so, the appellate court ruled.

About 300 federalized Illinois National Guard members and 200 more from the state of Texas are in Illinois right now, deployed by President Trump to Chicago last Wednesday.

White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson releasing a statement in response, quote, amidst ongoing violent riots and lawlessness that local leaders like Pritzker have refused to step in to quell, President Trump has exercised his lawful authority to protect federal officers and assets.

President Trump will not turn a blind eye to the lawlessness plaguing American cities, cities, and we expect to be vindicated by a higher court.

The administration adding it does plan to appeal this ruling.

Illinois Governor J.P.

Pritzker calling the deployment an unconstitutional overreach of federal authority.

President Trump teasing federal intervention in Chicago for months, citing high crime and gang violence, calling the city a war zone.

For 13 straight years, Chicago recording the most homicides of any city in the U.S., with 573 in 2024 alone.

In early September, Homeland Security launching Operation Midway Blitz, surging federal ICE agents to the sanctuary city.

Protests in opposition to ICE regularly escalating to violence and clashes with law enforcement.

Four arrested Friday on charges of resisting and obstruction following scuffles outside of the facility, according to ABC 7.

On Saturday, officials arresting at least 15 people outside of the Chicago ICE facility.

NewsNation reporting reporting some of the charges include criminal damage to government property and disobeying police orders.

President Trump last week posting to Truth Social, quote, Chicago mayor should be in jail for failing to protect ICE officers.

Governor Pritzker also.

Governor Pritzker asked to respond to that yesterday on ABC.

Are you worried the just department is going to come after you?

It's true that the president says things and sometimes he follows through on those threats and he certainly has the power of the presidency.

He does not have the power to overcome the Constitution.

And so

am I afraid?

I am not afraid.

Do I think that he could do it?

He might.

But as I've said before, come and get me.

I mean, you're dead wrong, Mr.

President and Mr.

Vice President.

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is currently weighing a case that asks whether Mr.

Trump has the right to call up and deploy the National Guard troops in Portland, Oregon.

That panel at oral argument seemed ready to side with the Trump administration.

The Seventh Circuit, however, not quite as deferential to the commander-in-chief.

Vice President J.D.

Vance yesterday on Meet the Press, not ruling out the administration invoking the Insurrection Act, an emergency power that allows the president to use the National Guard as domestic law enforcement in certain circumstances.

Are you seriously considering invoking the Insurrection Act?

Well, the president's looking at all of his options.

Right now, he hasn't felt he needed to, but we have to remember why are we talking about this, Kristen?

Because crime has gotten out of control in our cities, because our ICE agents, the people who are enforcing our immigration laws, have faced a 1,000% increase in violent attacks against them.

We have people right now who are going out there, who are doing the job the president asked them to do, who are enforcing our immigration laws.

They're being assaulted, they're being beaten, they're being shot at.

The problem here is not the Insurrection Act or whether we actually invoke it or not.

The problem is the fact that the entire media in this country, cheered on by a few far-left lunatics, have made it okay to tee off on American law enforcement.

We cannot accept that in the United States of America.

We want everybody, black or white, rich or poor, to be safe in the United States of America.

Invoking the Insurrection Act would almost certainly result in further legal challenges.

Former President Joe Biden undergoing radiation therapy and hormone treatment for prostate cancer, a spokeswoman announced on Saturday.

The regimen, which began last month, month, is expected to take several weeks, according to the New York Times.

Mr.

Biden announcing the diagnosis in May, stage 4 cancer that they said had spread to the bone.

At the time, the Biden office referring to the disease as, quote, aggressive.

Last month, the 82-year-old former president had cancerous skin lesions surgically removed from his forehead.

Mr.

Biden's office disclosing that he still plans to appear at two upcoming events.

The advanced nature of President Biden's disease stunning the medical community upon announcement of the diagnosis.

Experts pointing out this particular kind of cancer typically develops very slowly, leading many to wonder how White House doctors could have missed it if they missed it.

Dr.

David Samadhi, a leading prostate cancer surgeon, telling the Megan Kelly show in May, the timeline of discovery, as described by the Biden office, does not add up.

If it was just a week ago, they had the prostate nodule.

Within a week, they did the biopsy and they got the disease.

So, very quickly, within one week, based on the story that they're telling, they've been able to do the staging part and find out if the cancer is spread to the bone or not.

But you have to give the injections and see if the patient responds.

We don't know what his PSA is.

If the PSA starts to go down, then that's when you know that he's hormonal situation.

I don't know how they will be able to give all of this information from diagnosis to treatment to all of that within one week.

This story doesn't make any sense.

President Biden's health disclosures, or lack thereof, remain a matter of concern even after leaving office.

The House Oversight Committee now investigating whether his apparent cognitive decline was downplayed and concealed while he was in office.

Hello, it was.

And whether senior staffers improperly used the auto pen without consent from the president.

Mr.

Biden's White House physician, Dr.

Kevin O'Connor, in July, pleading the fifth in an oversight committee deposition.

And that'll do it for your AM update.
