Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and thank you for joining us for another episode of Nightcap as the Georgia Bulldogs score 20 unanswered and come back and defeat Albert on Cam's night.
They retired good friend of ours, the show, Cam Newton's number two.
No one ever can wear that number again, I guess, unless Cam allowed them to wear that number.
Great night for Cam Newton, but it was not a great night for the Auburn Tigers, Auburn War Eagles, as the Georgia Bulldogs, Cam Newton's hometown team, came back from 10-0 to score 20 unanswered as they roll over Auburn 20-10.

The Georgia Bulldogs, down the Auburn Tigers, 20 to 10.
It looked to me, Ocho, that Auburn was getting ready to deal them a death blow.
They were getting ready to go in, make it 17-0, because up until that point, Georgia had done nothing.
They might have had 10 yards of total offense, but they got rejuvenated.
They scored, they, uh,
same thing that happened Monday night.
Remember, Trevor Lawrence tried to go to the goal line.
The guy knocked it out of his hand.
Georgia recovered it, go down, get a field goal right before the half.
And from that point on, they never looked back.
Auburn, for whatever reason, Arnold was not able to get on track because I thought he played well early.
But once that play happened, it's like all of a sudden he could not connect with his receiver.
He was low.
He was high.
He was behind.
He was in front of.
And Georgia dominated.
Georgia defense took this game over.
That's what that was.
They took this game over.
And
I wanted to get number 52's name.
That's a bad player.
That D-Lineman.
He's the real deal.
You're going to be playing on Sundays.
Yeah.
When I look at a game like this,
and it comes to Auburn playing a team like Georgia.
You got to put them away.
You got to keep your goddamn foot on the pedal
all the the way.
No conservative plays.
And obviously from the quarterback position, you have to be almost perfect to win a game like this because you know Georgia is built to be able to come from behind.
They have the tools.
They have the players.
They have the coaching to be able to come from behind.
And that's exactly what they were able to do tonight.
They did.
They did.
Look.
Like I said, and Chad, I don't know how you guys felt.
I know a lot of you guys watched the game.
Some of you guys were watching Texas A ⁇ M in Florida or maybe the LSU South Carolina ball game.
But watching this game, I really felt that Auburn was about to deal these guys a death blow.
And, you know, it was, and that was second down.
So if they don't get, they get stopped there, they still get third down.
And I don't know if you freeze goals for it on fourth down.
But once that played, the momentum, it was like, it's so deflating because you're so close.
from
a momentum altering play because you're like, man, we're about to go up 17-0 over what, they're the number 10 team in the country.
And we got them on the ropes because up until that point they had done absolutely nothing they couldn't run it they couldn't throw it uh even when you look at them now at 31 carries 79 yards gunner stockton play uh he got guys started making plays he was 24 38 for 217
but they had done nothing up until they got that fumble of the goal line and then they didn't really didn't look back because like i said they scored uh 20 unanswered points and it spoils uh cam newton's jersey retirement they stopped it they replayed it i don't care how you look at it that was not a touchdown because he's losing possession as he's about to cross.
He doesn't have, he doesn't maintain, he doesn't have full possession of the football.
You can't give them that.
No, that was that.
They called it on the field as a fumble and replay evidence upheld the right call.
That was a fumble.
I know Auburn fans might not like it, but that was a fumble.
And you just got to do, I'm sure the quarterback coach and Coach Euphurye, the offensive coordinator, whoever is going to to be dealing with the uh quarterback they're going to say son we got to have the most important thing is ball security you cannot turn we cannot we're not equipped there are very few teams in college football as we're going to talk about we saw oregon lose at home today to indiana there are very few teams equipped to fumble the ball that they go because it's such a deflating it's such a demoralizing play ojo we go from getting six possibly seven points with the pat
to we get nothing and then they go down and get a field goal that's a 10 point swing yeah and now they got life now as bad as they played for the entirety of the first half, they go into halftime feeling like they got momentum.
And they get the ball to start the second half.
So Kirby is telling these guys, that a way to fight your ass off, guys.
You hung in there.
Give us a chance.
You gave us a defense.
Great job.
You gave us a chance to stay in this ball game.
Offense, now it's your turn.
And they got momentum and they got, you know, they got a touchdown and they kicked a couple of field goals, but you can't.
You cannot turn the ball over.
You just can't.
Auburn, especially, you're not good enough.
This is not Cam Newton's Auburn Tigers.
They're not.
And they turned it over and they paid the ultimate price.
But Georgia,
Georgia
find a way to keep.
They're like,
let's just keep fighting and scrapping.
They still got a couple of games to go.
I think they still got Florida, but
Florida is not the Florida we were thinking about.
Oh, Joe, the Texas Longhorns dominated the number six Oklahoma Sooners in the latest edition of the Red River rivalry.
23-6 after disappointing shoring against Florida last week.
Arch Manning played
sensational today.
21 of 27, 166 yards, one touchdown.
Trailing, 6-0, minutes into the second quarter.
Texas scored 23 unanswered points over the final 34 and a half minutes and outgained the Sooners 188-88 after half, sealing the program's largest margin of victory, 17 points, over an AP top 10 opponent as an unranked team since 1957.
Ocho,
me, you, and Johnny have been very, very critical of Arch Manning.
Yeah.
This is the best I've seen him play against a ranked opponent.
Absolutely.
And this is, and the good thing, the good thing for Arch, he needed a game like this, honk.
He needed a game like this, not against San Jose State or a smaller school where you're supposed to win and you're supposed to play well, but you need to have a game like this against a ranked opponent that has equal to somewhat talent that you do as well.
He played phenomenal today and this is great for his psyche.
It's great for his confidence.
Now he can build from this going into next week and the rest of the games going forward saying, okay, you know what?
I actually can do this.
And I think he's been playing so bad because it's happened to me before in my younger days when I first got an opportunity to start where things aren't going well.
And I started questioning myself.
I started questioning myself, well, am I doing it right?
I'm putting in all the work, and all the work I'm putting in practice is not showing up when it actually matters and counts.
So, for Arch to have a game like this today against a very, very good quality team, this is going to be a huge boost for his confidence.
So,
I'm glad he had a game like this so he can go forward and you just stack one on top of another and build from there.
He needed this game, Ocho.
And rightfully so.
I don't think anybody has been out of line by criticizing him.
Look, you're going to have to, look, and you're in that, the SEC.
It's like being in the Big Ten.
You're going to have to win games against Ohio State.
You're going to have to win games against Michigan.
You're going to have to win games against Oregon and so forth and so on.
If you play in the SEC, you've got to beat Georgia.
You've got to beat Auburn.
I mean, excuse me, Alabama.
You've got to beat some of the upper echelon teams.
Yes.
He has not played well when he's played.
conference opponents or out-of-conference opponents when they're been on his level level or maybe a little better.
Today, i thought he threw the ball i thought he was decisive i thought he threw the ball exceptional on the move he was great on the move now look we always knew that he was more athletic than both of his uncles i don't know if he's as athletic his dad his dad was a hell of a receiver but he had a neck injury that ended up causing him his career so but we know after seeing him move regardless of the division that he played in in high school the way he moves we know he's more athletic than his uncles the question that we have can he process information as good as his uncle?
Will he be as true?
Will it transition?
Will he translate as good as his uncle?
Today, this was the best Arch Manning that I have seen against opponent that we like, I want to see what he can do against these opponents because we've seen him against other opponents and it didn't go well.
This was sensational today.
This was the best Arch Manning chat.
I'd like to know what you guys think.
This was the best I've seen him play
against a big-time school since since he's been at UT.
Yeah, he's filled in for when Quinn Errors went down and man, Arch needs to start.
Arch needs to start.
Bro, that's San Jose State.
Bro, that's a U-Tep.
No, no, no, no.
When they do, when he does that against Bama or Georgia, Ohio State, or like he did today, Oklahoma, Tennessee, now you got my attention.
But beating teams that you should beat, Nah, that doesn't do anything for me.
But I thought today, Ocho, was his best game that I've seen him play in a big-time situation since he's been at UT.
Yeah.
And so
I don't know what's going on with this.
I'm trying to
get this.
I don't know what it is with this internet.
My internet is so slow in here.
Hey, but again,
I'm telling you, you got to get rid of that dial-up.
You got to get rid of that dial-up, man.
I'm telling you.
Spend a little extra cash.
Get the fiber optic wires.
We got fiber optic.
My bad.
My bad.
My bad.
We got everything in here.
Arch was 21 of 27, 166, one touchdown.
They ran the ball 35 times
for 136 yards.
Look, he didn't have no gaudy numbers, but OU had...
The one thing we know about Brent Venables, when he was at Clemson,
you think of Deshaun and you think of Trevor Lawrence, but their defenses were really, really good.
A.J.
Terrell, Kristen Wilkins, Cleland Farrell, Dexter Lawrence, they had Brian Reed.
They had guys that could get after the quarterback.
They had outstanding defense, and he is a pressure, pressure guy.
So if you thought that, you know, he was going to have, you know, 350 yards against that defense, probably wasn't going to be likely.
That is a division.
That is a conference opponent.
They play each other every year.
They're very familiar with each other.
But given the circumstances, considering how he's played against big-time opponents since he's been there, this is the best.
Look, I'm not saying the guy is going to be paying, but I'm saying we beat him up when we play when he played bad.
We should be able to lift him up when he plays good.
That's all I'm saying.
Hey, listen, the key words you just said, he played good.
He didn't play great.
He didn't play great.
He played good.
But this is a confidence builder for him.
And it's all about stacking wins on top of another it's all about playing consistently and stacking those on top of another and once you get in the groove and only always being consistent and protecting the ball making the right reads making the right throws
it'll it'll come it'll come to you he he he gonna be he gonna be all right he's gonna be all right
oh um
No, I thought he played very good.
He didn't just play good.
He played very good.
You look at the throws that he made on the run, rolling to his left, rolling to his right opening up his hips to throw the ball back to the middle through on timing uh the touchdown the guy broke free and he he got that there uh the big run at the end of the game to seal it ocho uh you know
i don't know if you trust eli but i've seen payton run some naked boots
and be able to get it and get down but no he played really he played really really well today and uh i'm a firm believer because we beat him up pretty good and i think rightfully so i don't think any of the criticism that's been levied by anybody that's been on this platform towards has been out of line.
He hasn't played well based on what we've been told the product is.
Yeah, like I said, I'm not interested if they're beating UTEP.
I'm not interested in beating San Jose State or they're beating Lester Tear.
You're going to cut your teeth.
You're going to earn your keep by beating Alabama, beating Georgia, beating LSU, beating Tennessee, beating Oklahoma, beating those teams.
That's when Ohio State, if you played there, but when you played Ohio State and it didn't go well.
But when you play teams like that, Ultra, that's how you make a name for yourself.
Absolutely.
When you step up in competition, or you play a level of competition, or you go on the road and you win games, people don't give you an opportunity, don't think you can win, or you're not supposed to win because you're an underdog or for whatever reason.
I mean, obviously, something you go on the road, you want to win, and you think, hey, we got just as good a chance.
But today, he showed me something.
That is a big rival.
That's the red root.
That's our, look, Texas and Oklahoma,
they steal each other.
They steal each other's players.
We come into Oklahoma and get your guys.
You come into Texas and get our guys.
Right.
And then, guess what?
We have a showdown the second week, what, second week in October?
And for all, for the bragging rags.
And you see, they bring that trophy out, and everybody's excited and celebrating because it's a big deal.
Arch Mandy, you showed me something today, bro.
You absolutely showed me something today.
Hopefully, they can carry over.
Who do they play next week, Ash?
Hopefully, this carries over and you can build on it.
They're 4-2.
They started the season number one.
Yeah.
They were the number one ranked team in the APA poll.
Hey, where do they rank now since they have two losses?
They just rank.
They stank.
So they rank.
They're not ranked.
Like I said, this is the first time that they've beaten a top 10 opponent as an unranked opponent since 1957.
Hell, even I wasn't alive there.
Oh, they play Kentucky.
Oh, they play Kentucky.
Wait.
Oh, hold on.
Ash, that game is October 18th.
No.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yes.
Yeah.
I'm going to be at that game.
I'm going to be at that game.
You know, Mocha, she got me tickets to sit in the student section.
If I'm not mistaken, that's Kentucky's homecoming.
Am I right?
I'm correct.
Ash, right?
I don't know why they would do that.
Yeah, she told me to come.
She she said daddy come can you come come to the homecoming October 18th so I told Doug I say Doug don't put no number schedule for October 18th I'm going to sit in the student section I'm going to paint my face with you know the the blue heart and the and I'm gonna wear the checker I'm gonna wear the checker overalls you know the checker overalls
and I'm gonna send the student man that stole that from Tennessee Tennessee wore them wear chucker checker overalls that's where they got that from yeah
Yeah, they, you know, Kentucky got the blue and white one, so I got mine.
I'm ready.
I know that is from Tennessee.
No, but look, this is something that can build on.
I don't know what Texas schedule is, remaining schedule, but
this is a big boost for him.
He knows he hasn't played well.
He knows he hasn't played up to expectations.
Everybody loves to backup quarterback until he has to start to play.
This is what, you know, oh, he plays him in front of yours.
Play him in front of yours.
Don't you think if he was better than yours, Steve Sarkeesian would have put him in there?
Yeah.
Of course he would have.
Now, that's not to say that he won't go on and be a better pro than what yours.
But
they got Kentucky, they're at Kentucky, at Mississippi State.
They get Vanderbilt at home, which will not be easy.
They get at Georgia, Arkansas, at Texas AM.
They don't got no easy schedule.
Yeah.
Texas AM and Texas do not like each other.
Texas
AM actually tried to to keep Texas out of the SEC.
That's a little bad blood.
Hell no.
How can you do that?
How can you keep another school to another school?
You vote not to let their ass in.
Oh, okay.
That's how you do that.
That's messed up.
At Kentucky, at Mississippi State, Vandy at home, at Georgia.
Arkansas at home, Texas A ⁇ M at home.
So it's not like they got it.
They desperately, desperately needed this win today.
Yeah.
Desperately needed this win today.
Mississippi State, I mean, Kentucky, I mean, the rest of them are all SEC opponents.
Kentucky, Mississippi State, Vandy, Georgia, Arkansas, Texas A ⁇ M.
Ooh, that's a good, that's a nice little gauntlet too, bro.
That's a nice little gauntlet too.
But again, as Texas goes,
everything is based off the quarterback play.
Man, this ain't just about Texas.
This goes for any team, whether whether it's college, whether it's high school, whether it's NFL.
The better your quarterback plays, the better your chances are at competing and winning games.
Yes,
you're absolutely correct because
the way they've set the game up now, Ocho, the ball is in his hands, the way they protect the quarterback, the way they protect the wide receivers with targeting, especially in college, with targeting and all that stuff.
Yes, the quarterback, he's far, far too valuable
and directly impacts how well your team plays.
When he plays well, the team plays well.
When he plays like crap, it's hard in today's game, be it college, NFL, or high school, to overcome poor quarterback play, especially in today's game.
But University of Texas get a win on the Red River rivalry over the arrivals, the Oklahoma Sooners, by the score of 23-6.
They scored 23 unanswered points to take the win.
Drew Aller's college career is likely over, and Penn State once-promising season has turned into a nightmare.
The Netanyah Lions lost their third straight game on Saturday, a 22-21 loss at home to Northwestern.
Nitney Lions coach James Franklin confirmed
afterwards that Aller would miss the rest of the season.
Because he played four more games.
each of the past four years, Aller has no more eligibility remaining.
The only way Aller's career could be extended if there's some type of MCA eligibility rule.
Right.
Franklin, after the loss, it's 100% on me, and we've got to get it fixed, and I will get it fixed.
But I think,
now y'all still, oh, Joe, we, I remember three weeks ago, we talked about this.
We talked about James Franklin continuously lose games.
He never wins the game that
he's supposed to win.
When he goes up against Ohio State, I think he's beaten ohio state maybe once but he finds a way to lose and then last week and then again this week northwestern
northwestern i understand you lost your quarterback but you got more talent than northwestern right
hey whoa whoa wait wait wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute huh you know now you know how how severe it can become offensively to run an offense think about what you just what you just said when it comes to having a quarterback consistent quarterback play and how difficult it becomes to actually win games when your quarterback goes down
so maybe maybe he doesn't have the talent you think he may have or you wouldn't have three losses in a row even with
i don't i don't look i think james franklin is a good coach i don't think he's great i don't think there's anything special about him to be honest that's just me watching him watching him when he was at vanderbilt watching him over his career i don't think he's special i don't think he's a must-have i don't think he invigorates your like oh my god we got james franklin Right, right, right, right, right.
I don't think, I don't think, you know, if one of these big time, so you think if Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, of one of these big-time college programs, the first call they got, it reaching out is it James Franklin?
No.
No, absolutely not.
Look, bro, you go to Northwestern, you're like, man, I'm going to be a doctor.
I'm going to be a businessman.
I'm going to be a lawyer.
I'm going to be journalism.
Man,
come on.
So you're not giving the football players no credit, huh?
I mean, look,
Pat Fitzgerald was a hell of a football player in college.
I mean, I don't really know a whole lot of Northwestern players that play in the NFL.
I mean, I know a lot of them that's in, you know, Mike Wilbon and Mike Greenberg.
I know a lot of them.
You know what I think?
I know a lot of businessmen, a lot of business people that went to Northwestern.
You know what I want to say too?
Obviously, I'm not taking up for James Franklin.
You have to win games, especially playing for a school, a prestigious school like Penn State that has had much success
throughout their tenure in general.
I also, I look about, I think about Bill Belichick, as great as he is, as great as his resume is in the NFL and going to North Carolina and obviously having expectations, a lot of people expecting them to look
like
what Bill did and what he's able to do with the Patriots and then him not having success in North Carolina.
It's similar to James Franklin.
We have expectations for them to look a certain way, but maybe he doesn't actually have the tools and the players to be able to do what he needs to do to beat some of the big schools.
Penn State sunk millions and millions of dollars in retaining key veterans from 2025, aiming to repeat Ohio's success in 2024.
So they spent money to bring a lot of them guys back.
Yeah.
Oh, the offensive tackle.
He got hurt.
He's the highest paid tackle in football at the Chargers.
He went to Northwest and response later.
Oh, he's the real deal.
Hey, he the real deal.
He's the real deal.
But that season is over, Ocho.
Where are you going?
You ain't going to the Big Ten Championship.
You ain't going to no college football playoffs.
Bro, you lost the Northwestern.
I don't even know if you can get in the college
football playoffs.
If you only had one loss and you lost to them.
Man,
this was horrible.
This is this is
it's hard to say this is James Franklin's worst loss because he's had so many worst loss.
Right.
But this is
you gotta you gotta remember, too, those worst losses were against much, much better schools.
Very, very good.
Nah.
It ain't supposed to be no much.
You, Penn State.
You do realize Penn State won the national championship.
You know, they put a lot of guys in the NFL.
Penn State used to be Alabama putting guys in the NFL before Alex.
I know.
Listen, we're going back to LeVar Arrington.
We're going back to
Kajana Carter.
Carrie Collins.
Carrie Collins.
Let me keep going.
Hold on.
Well, obviously, we know Micah.
We know Brother Abdul.
Abdul Carter.
Yeah, Abdul.
It's more than that, though.
It's more.
Oh, yeah, for sure.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's way more than that.
That's just off the top of my head and what I can remember.
But
they have not been good at all.
And
I think they put up, I think I was reading today, they would owe Drain Franklin about $49 million if they were to buy him out.
Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, who stop, stop, stop, stop.
How much?
$49 million.
Hey, what do you think about me, you getting into college coaching?
No, I don't want no party coaching.
I don't have the patience.
You got the who?
I don't have the patience.
You ain't patient enough for $49 million?
I am not.
Ain't no sense to me fully.
Yeah, y'all know who I am.
Y'all know who I am.
So it ain't no sense, you know.
They had
Ocho Saquon Barkley.
They had DJ Carter.
Kijana Carter.
I'm tripping.
Saquon.
I'm sorry.
Yeah.
That should have been a good thing.
DJ Dozier.
Kajana Carter.
Saquon Barkley.
Oh, they've had some running back.
I think Curtis Enos went there too.
Curtis Enos, Curtis Enos.
Man, you ain't said no receivers yet.
I think Kyle Brady
went to Penn State.
Oh, hold on.
KJ Hamler.
Yeah.
KJ Hamler.
Yeah.
they had another i had a had a dude i forget i think he came out a couple years before me uh
kurt warner might be the best running back but he ended up getting hurt he went to seattle he was a he was a monster
uh
oh wait chris godwin went there yep hey um where did curtis conway go
USC okay that's right yeah that's right that's right you talk about Leila Lee's husband yeah okay okay you're right.
Yeah.
Curtis.
I'm thinking of somebody else.
Somebody else.
Yeah.
I don't know, Ocho.
O.J.
McDuffie.
Yeah, that's who, yeah.
He went to Miami.
He played for your Dolphins.
And he had a...
He was there.
He had a turf toe injury.
Yep.
He ended up having a turf toe injury, and they injected it, and he kept him, and it messed him up.
And I think he he sued the Dolphins.
Damn.
Yeah.
Oh, Choe, the Indiana Hoosiers
go in to Oregon, and they come away with a 30-20 victory, snapping the Ducks, 18-game home winning streak, holding them to only 64 yards in the second half.
The victory is Indiana's second ever against a top-five opponent, joining the 1967 win over Purdue.
It's the program's first road win over a top five opponent in program's history.
History.
Hey, listen, that's one of the few games I wasn't able to watch.
Obviously, out here where I am in London, I don't get, I was able to get to see a few games, the actual main games.
I wasn't able to see the Oregon game.
Please explain to me, with this being the one game I wasn't able to watch, how in the hell did Indiana beat Oregon, which I think is much better in the trenches, much better at the skill position, and hold them to how many points in the second half?
Shit, they held him to 64 yards.
Oh, 64 yards.
Wait, was it?
It was, it must have been raining real bad, huh?
It wasn't raining.
No, okay, okay.
I'm just trying to get away from that.
I mean, Indiana had two guys that had 13 total tackles.
They had two guys that had eight.
They had two guys that had eight tackles.
Oh, they got after Mocho.
What a C.
Three, four, five, six.
Six sacks, eight tackle for losses, four QB hurries.
Jesus.
Got to do it.
They must have been blissing.
They must have been blissing out the wazoo.
They can get out.
Hey, to Pat McAfee, P.
Mac, he picked it.
Everybody else across the board went Oregon.
Oregon.
Pat McAfee, the only one picked Indiana the week.
He picked Indiana.
He knows something.
He knows ball.
He knows ball.
Indiana is like,
we saw a little bit of this last year and and we thought it was like an outlier.
Man, they ain't gonna do.
They're like, we tried to show we for real.
And they backed it up.
They're backing up last year.
Following up, they're consolidating in tennis.
When you break, serve, now you get to serve.
Now, can you consolidate it?
Right.
They're trying to consolidate last season with this season.
And they're off to a great start.
They're not, hey, they're not no put.
This is not the Indiana that, you know, that we grew, that I grew up.
You know, they had a few good players.
Anthony Thompson, he came out with me, a running back.
I think he
was the most
rushing touchdowns, something like that.
But this team is really, really good.
Really, really good.
It's going to be, I don't know if Ohio State or Michigan's on their schedule, but they got a chance
to go back, Ocho, to do it again.
Yeah.
Wait, what's
Indiana record?
6-0, number 17 in the country.
Do they have any other ranked opponents left on their schedule?
Is it pretty easy from this point on?
Pull up their schedule.
Let's see what they're looking like.
They
say, I don't know if they've already played Penn State,
but if they do, that's a victory.
I don't know if they played Penn, but that's a victory for them.
Hell no.
Okay,
oh Joe.
Yeah, they got Michigan State at home, UCLA at home.
They go at Maryland, at Penn State, Wisconsin at home, at Purdue.
They can easily run the scale.
They can easily run the table.
They can run that table, but
I would say that UCLA game might be a track game.
I don't know.
UCLA playing better.
Yeah, since they fired, since the fire, what Coach got fired, or he just...
Yes, he got fired.
Man, ever since he got fired, boy, they've been playing all world.
Yeah, Rick Dale appointed Rick Newheiser's son as the interim coach, and he's done a great job.
He's got playing well.
The quarterback is playing a lot better.
Yeah.
Look,
Sean Foster just wasn't getting it done.
There's no other way around it.
Because all I know is that those same players that he hadn't won a game with, somebody else came in there and they won with him.
Hey, what is that?
Why does that always happen, huh?
I don't know.
When a coach gets fired in the middle of the season, for some reason, the players respond a little better and play much and play well.
I
don't understand.
I know coach coach is looking like, well, hell, why y'all ain't do this when I was there?
Why didn't you play this way with this kind of effort?
Maybe you weren't coaching them up.
Maybe it's a different
philosophy, or maybe it's how you call in plays.
Because I think New Hausley is calling the plays.
Okay,
so
Michigan State, UCLA, just dropped the hammer hammer on them.
So, and then they got UCLA following that up.
Then they're at Maryland, at Penn State, Wisconsin, and then they got Purdue.
So,
you know, my
college quarterback is the head coach at Michigan State, too.
Is he?
Yeah, Jonathan Smith.
He was my quarterback at Oregon State.
Then he was the head coach at Oregon State.
Then he just got the job at Michigan State.
I think this is his second year, maybe.
Either second.
Yeah, I think it's his second year.
Yeah.
That's what.
So congratulations to IU.
Go on the road
and
knock off the number three, Oregon Ducks, by the score of 30 to 20.
Held them to 64 yards in the second half.
Coach Prime returned to the sidelines only four days after having surgery to
remove blood clots.
The CU Buffaloes get their second wins in the Coach Prime era over a ranked opponent, number 22, Iowa State Cyclones, 24-17.
He apparently did not sit down during the entire game, and ESPN reported that an assistant on the sideline was following him around with a stool in case he needed it.
Colorado linebacker Jeremiah Brown said it gave us a reason to fight, a great reason to fight.
Coach Prime had surgery on Tuesday.
He came back that Wednesday morning after four-hour surgery, and he was hurt.
He was in limping on the field, hurting, still running around, still giving us all the energy we need.
So I think that's all we needed to fight.
It says there are some coaches out there that make you want to run through a brick wall for it.
Ocho, how impressed were you with what you saw with the Buffaloes?
Listen, I'm obviously I'm really impressed.
I'm really impressed with them actually fighting.
They've had some games that they lost this year where everyone has really damn near counted them out.
They really counted them out.
You go in there, you're playing against another ranked opponent in Iowa State being ranked 22, and they fought.
They fought their tails off.
And I'm sure Prime having to come out of surgery, still being there, still being there, showing up, showing up for your players.
And it gives you a little bit more will.
It gives you a little bit more want to, as a player, to want to fight, not only for your coach,
but for your teammates as well.
And to show people, like, this ain't the same Colorado Buffalo.
We're not the same Colorado Buffaloes.
Even though things aren't going well this season, we have some losses, but we want to show we can compete at this level too against ranked opponents.
And I'm sure everybody in Imama, if you're a gambling man, you probably pick Iowa State to win this goddamn game.
Of course.
Yes.
I mean, considering they had only one, had only beaten one ranked opponent in his tenure.
And seemingly, for whatever reason, they don't play their absolute best when they play ranked opponents.
So, yeah.
If you're a gambling man, if you're a betting man, you absolutely would have picked Iowa State.
And I was a little concerned.
37 rushes, 236 yards.
But I thought Caden Salter played extremely well.
He threw the ball extremely, extremely well today.
They ran the ball well,
140 rush yards on 39 carries.
The receiver had eight for
128.
They played well, Locho.
This was the best.
Look, we wanted a clean game, too.
No turnovers.
Clean game.
You know,
not
good enough to overcome that.
Yeah, they're not over, they can't, they can't overcome turnovers, they can't.
That's that's not who they are.
I mean, you look, they should, they, there are some games on this show, they're at Utah, Arizona at home, West Virginia on the road, Arizona State at home, K-State on the road.
So, Utah is always tough, yes, every time, every year.
Um,
yeah, I was concerned, though.
I was like, like, damn,
CU, can y'all stop the run?
Another 230-yard performance on you.
You know, you don't normally win games.
You let the team run for 230 yards on you.
Yeah.
Because they possess the ball.
So you have to be really, really good when you get the ball because they're running the ball like that.
But somehow,
CU won a time of possession.
CU, I mean, the difference in the ball ball game ocho third downs iowa state for was two or 12 colorado was seven of 15.
had to get you every time
every single time third down was good in the penalty phase ocho they didn't it's six for 43 you could live with that uh
iowa state had seven for 59 had one turnover uh interception time of possession was damn near even 29.57 for Iowa State, 30.03 for CU.
But yeah, see you.
CU.
Look, if you're going to get this kind of play out of Salter
and if they can run the football like this, now you got to do a better, they got to do a better job of stopping the run.
I mean, you're not going to have a whole lot of success giving up 230 plus yards.
They ain't got that kind of meat and potatoes up there, Mo.
They ain't got that kind of potatoes up there.
Well, they got to stun or something, Mocho.
They got to do something.
Because if you stun, you open up, you open up.
You do.
You do.
But I mean, Tyme got to be really, really impressed.
I mean, really, really happy with his ball club.
Obviously, going through what he's going through,
that's not easy.
But I noticed something, see, and I said, I looked at him otherwise.
I said, well, damn, I know, I said, I know Tyme ain't on the sideline.
He got one shoe on.
I said, but it looked like he wearing, is he in his socks?
But I thought it was a white sneaker.
I mentioned it last week.
I was like, I'm like, damn.
And they zoomed it, but they didn't zoom back in on it.
So I was like, all right, I'm just going to chalk it up.
Like, man, he got on Miss Matt, you know, a bigger shoe than the other one.
But I was like, and come to find out, he was actually in his sock on the sideline.
He had a shoe on the right foot,
but no shoe, just his sock on the left foot.
I was like, well, damn.
And,
you know, going through what he's going through, because I know
a little bit a lot about what he went through, especially at Jackson State and this last situation.
It's tough, man.
It's tough.
You're like, man.
but you talk about somebody that believes that
if anybody can handle something like this to go through what he's gone through,
he's the guy.
He's a believer.
He has the faith.
But it's not easy.
It's not easy.
But his family, as he said, has a history of blood clots.
I think he had an uncle.
past or something from blood clots.
So blood clots run in his family.
That seems to be hereditary.
So it's going to be very, very interesting, man.
I just,
how much can that body, how much can that body take?
I mean,
you know, they're carrying a stool behind him in case he needed to sit down, fatigue.
But if you just watched him, you'd have never knew he had surgery
as serious as a surgery as he had on Tuesday.
If you just watched the game.
If you just watched him, he looked like time.
Looking like normal, yeah.
He looked normal.
Yeah.
But obviously we know what he went through.
I don't know the specific details of what they do to try to clean up blood clots.
I mean, obviously, they try to go in there and dissolve him.
He's on blood thinners.
Probably going to be on those for the rest of his life.
But
this is a big win for him.
I think those kids did him a solid.
They did him a solid today.
And I know he's very, very proud of those kids because like he,
after the game he was talking to the reporter I don't know her name but he's like look God got me this is about the kids
this is about the kids uh he didn't know that uh the kids storming the field gonna cost uh gonna cost the athletic department 50k
listen i know that
i know the athletic part department is not worried about the little 50k and this if we got to pay if we got to pay every time we play at home we could be willing to pay that 50k we can get these results for every home game what they're gonna start increasing it though that is 50k now now.
They probably double it next time.
I mean, look,
that's a ranked opponent.
Yeah.
You hadn't had very many wins over ranked opponents, and it's a home victory.
You know, you lost at home to Georgia Tech.
You lost at home.
No, you
lost at home by three to BYU, which was a ranked opponent.
that you really should have won that game.
Could have easily won the Georgia Tech game.
Maybe the season looks a little different.
They need to string some wins together, though.
You know, they need to string some wins together.
Find a way to go get to beat a Utah team.
I don't know Utah's record, haven't played a whole lot, paid a whole lot of attention to them, but they need to find a way to try to put two or three wins together.
Go up to Utah and play extremely well, take care of the football, turn them over and get a win, and then come home against Arizona and try to put two or three, you know, try to get some wins, OJO, and get bowl eligible.
Let's see, one, two, three.
Right now, they're three and three.
So I think you need six wins to become bowl eligible.
So they're going to have to win.
Oh, Joe, they're going to have to win one of these road games.
They're going to have to win one of these role games to become bowl eligible.
So, Utah, West Virginia, K-State,
and you're going to have to, you know, you're going to have to hold serve at home.
You got Arizona and Arizona State at home.
You're going to have to win both of those, and you're going to have to win one game on the road, at least.
that's a tough task especially hey
you just called out to now k-state ain't k-state ain't no joke no no kk-state ain't no ain't no ain't no easy win joke nope
virginia rich rodriguez uh uh you know i they're not the same west virginia in his first tenure where you know where they had pat white and those guys were you know tayvon austin all those guys all in space playing in space was different boy yeah i think steve slayt i think that was the running back's name i think that's his name
They're not that.
Right.
But
they're tough to beat at home.
And so we'll see what time have in store for them.
But they definitely need to get bowl eligible.
They need to win three more games.
And I think they're
more than capable of doing that.
Oh, Joe, after the game, Coach Prime found out schools get fined 50K for rushing the field.
But I love to see it.
I really do.
Any worry about the fine?
Is it a fine for rushing to field?
Yes, sir.
What is it?
$550,000.
$50,000.
$50, what?
$50,000.
For Russian to feel?
Yes, sir.
How's it $50,000 for Russian to feel?
Who made that a rule?
Excuse me?
Big 12 conference.
Come on, man.
That ain't right.
I mean, these kids...
Well, we have $50,000, right?
We can chip in.
Let's chip in.
I was when I grew up.
You know, we're going going somewhere back before you get in the cover some gas, you got to chip in.
I think it's 250.
I think it's 250 in the SEC.
As you check and see if that, I think it's 250,000 if they rush the field in the SEC.
No, the SEC got different kinds of money.
They got different kinds of money.
So obviously, obviously,
the price is a little different.
True.
Look, I think the thing is, Ocho, is that, you know, sometimes students, you know, they have, you know, some of them, they got ID and they're able to drink.
And sometimes, you know, I think you're trying to protect the student and you're trying to check the
players.
You don't want a LeGarrette Blunt situation, you know, you don't want situations like that.
So you really want to protect the players and you want to protect the student body.
So I get why they're doing it.
I do.
I really do.
But it's hard to tell a college kid that's excited and been screaming their lungs out for the last two and a a half, three hours, and we just get a big victory.
Um, no, don't, no, don't run the field.
What they can do is what they can do is have security when it when you know you're gonna win a game against a ranked opponent and they're excited.
You got to have security, you don't know you're gonna win no game against no ranked opponent when you unranked.
Oh, no, I'm saying they got to already be prepared and have security lined up around that goddamn staff.
You got 50,000 security people because who them who them 25?
Did you see?
Go back and take a look at the film.
The security talk about stop and them kids coming right by.
It's 500K
for storming the field.
Hey, think about that.
How do you control a stadium full of college kids and tell them not to storm the field?
I tell you what.
How do you control that?
You can't, because I guarantee you, if I don't know if Auburn is ranked, and if Alabama plays Auburn
and they will in the Iron bowl and if alabama has to go to auburn right guess what's gonna happen if auburn wins they storming the field
and guess what i don't know if georgia plays georgia tech but guess what happens if georgia tech beats georgia they storming the field yeah hey
it is what it is and guess what if michigan beats oio state
hey who writes the check that that that comes from the college the athletic director i mean who that comes from probably comes from this probably the uh uh the the budget, the SEC
athletic department.
Hey, they might as well go ahead and write it as soon as the game over.
They see as soon as them kids storm that field, that clock hit zero, they might as well get the check writing.
Mississippi State was fined $500,000 by the SEC for its fans rushing the field following a home win over then ranked number 12 Arizona State back in September.
Guess what?
If they play old miss, you might as well shoot a game a million dollars.
Because if they play old miss at home, they're gonna storm the field again, they're gonna storm the field again,
absolutely.
And guess what?
They got Texas, let them beat Texas, they're gonna storm the field again.
Yeah,
and and the thing is, is that no man?
You ought to saw the.
I was looking at the security.
I said, Y'all better get out of the way before y'all get ran over.
Even the women coming up out the stand, like, hey, we're going to the field.
Yeah, they booked it.
You saw you saw the kid that was stuck up under the goalpost
CU?
Yeah,
I think it had to be.
I'm just watching them come off the sides.
Okay.
Like they storming the, like this, like the truth, stormed the beach at Normandy.
That's how they look coming over the railings.
But damn.
Some little kid was stuck up.
I guess that would be cool, though, Ocho.
Hey,
that'd be it.
That'd be, hey, that'd be dope.
Can you imagine?
You think you'd be able to make it?
Make what?
Let's say what happened.
You at a game and you watch it in the stands and all the kids storming the field.
You're going to storm with them,
man.
I ain't moving.
Man, I jump.
Hey, the last thing I need to do is jump down and my hip pop out of place.
Nah, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna sit
how I got down in that stadium.
That's how I get my black ass up out that stadium.
If I walk down them steps, I'm gonna walk back up, hit the exit, and come on down.
Yeah, nah.
Hell no, man.
Man, I ain't young no more, Ocho.
Hey, I don't be doing all that foolishness.
Oh, man.
I'm gonna let you have that, Ocho.
Hey,
you could take my hips, you could take my knees, you can take my everything.
Well, I might need to, considering you can't use them to do nothing else.
Who?
You crazy?
I mean, not from the looks of it.
You might have my hips.
Why are you bull driving?
Hold on, hold on, hold on.
Did you, you, you, did you see me today?
Yeah, I did.
Unfortunately, let me finish.
Let me finish.
Okay.
I play a dependent what?
Hold on.
I play a dependent what?
Yeah, you play up a dependent position.
Okay, wait, wait.
And I'm trying to be careful because I can't talk about...
You know what I'm trying to say?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I know you're quarterback.
Yes.
I'm trying to be safe.
But
I have fun.
I had fun.
I was out there.
And you know what?
My dumbass.
Oh, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I didn't mean to curse.
I should know why I'm out there running full speed like an idiot
with not understanding that individual doesn't play with with us
where i'm going so i'm out there i'm got there going full speed i'm like oh shoot they it ain't the time to time and all of but hey it was fun i had me a good old time i don't know joy it looks suspect to me i know of course it's gonna look suspect to you when you're not on the sideline watching in person i watch it close enough Hey, but you know what it is.
You know what it is.
Hey, hey, Uncle, you see how fast I still am, though?
You can't see that.
I saw somebody named Cinco.
Hey, he was.
with the mvp yeah he was like wait that's so that's the other
and the girl that was on your team she going she bossing folks hey no that one my team that's the other team she oh that was the other team oh yeah the one who was doing all the dancing when she said
hey she played flag football for real i'm like man what she i had to ask for fitzpatrick where she come from like yes i didn't know that
but i was like damn she can catch hey catch i'm like she could really catch hey hey
that that was fun it was a it was was a lot of influencers a lot of influences if an influencer i didn't even know they could ball like that duke dennis man i'm like but dude boy you know you ain't play no sports you ain't play no ball
no all them boys who man jay singo jay single out there hey he looked like goddamn he looked like earl little
i'm not earlitted jay single or earl thomas yeah he was like he was all over the place i'm like but god
that's how you supposed to have to be in no no no no no i there's no there's only somebody um
um
Come on, man.
Hey, you saw my interception?
You saw my interception?
Had grabbed that thing with one hand though?
Oh, hold on.
When you going to bring trophy back, huh?
You participating in all this stuff and ain't brought one trophy home to nightcap.
Hey, um, it's these are not individual games.
These are team games I'm playing.
There's only so much I could do.
I could tell you what I'm saying.
You got to figure out what team you was on.
Because you didn't help nobody.
I did what I did what I could do.
I felt like A.J.
Brown.
What you want me to do?
Not much.
I felt like AJ Brown.
But I ain't cut up.
I ain't say nothing because I understand.
Chat, what y'all think, chat?
Well, the chat understands too.
No, the chat don't understand.
They say you was on some boo diggity today, Ocho.
Not me.
Hey, everything came my way.
You was good and terrible.
Hey, everything came my way.
I snagged.
That kept poop, boop.
But did you see my feet?
You saw my feet.
I still got it like real natural in the back of the end zone.
You seen that?
Yeah.
Hey, my hand, my hands was nice.
My feet, hey, hey, the dudes are like, hey, how you still run like that at 57?
Hey, nobody say that.
Yeah,
I will move.
Ocho, Ocho, I mean, for a guy that played at the level of what you played at, you don't look real athletic.
I'm just saying, Chad, what y'all think?
Do y'all, did Ocho look athletic to you guys?
Hey.
I don't know.
Hey, you know what?
I don't know what you was watching.
I'm watching you.
I made sure.
Ocho, this twice.
Now, I've seen you in celebrity events twice.
The basketball, you say you were facilitating.
Yeah, I was facilitating.
Hey,
I don't know what you were doing today.
Hey, catching everything that was thrown to me and picking and picking stuff off on defense.
I say, Well, damn.
Hey,
I look good, but you should have.
No, you didn't, Ocho.
I mean, no, you didn't, Chad.
Hey,
hey, listen.
Hey, listen.
I got to be careful.
I had fun.
They had fun.
I'm glad you had fun.
You is what we call a Chad that happens to be a Karen's husband.
So that's how you got your name.
So you, man.
I say, man, this for real?
Man, you need to get your man.
You need to get Nef out there, man.
You need to get your boy Ocho.
I said, well, let me see what's going on.
Hey, Unc, listen.
I said it's man out there bulljoving.
I wasn't bulljoving.
Listen, I can't complain.
I can't argue.
If it come to to me, it come to me.
If it don't, there's nothing I could do.
There's nothing I can say.
That's not the place to be acting a fool.
NFL invited me out here.
You know,
they paid a pretty penny for me to come here and enjoy my four days in London.
That's all I could do.
If it's coming,
hey, what they paid you to do, that's what you did.
Come enjoy yourself.
You enjoy yourself.
Because I'll tell you, hey, boy.
I tell you what.
I tell you what.
Tomorrow I'm going to see your Broncos play at
Tottenham Hot Spurs spurs stadium and if they don't show up you better not say foot or ball if they get beat by the jets you better not say nothing tomorrow all i know because i gave i gave my all today
i gave that one
huh that wasn't much it don't look like much but there's only so much i can do i can't hey baby maybe it's too many cigars maybe you need to maybe you need to cut back
hey speaking of cigars right um boy i ain't come out no plays i play offense and defense i ain't even get tired i played the whole game.
You weren't doing enough to get tired.
No, I was.
Oh, you weren't.
I was running full speed.
Now, you talk about doing it.
You talk about I wasn't doing enough.
Like, I can't.
I control what I can control.
If that's your full speed, you ain't beat nobody that you talked.
You weren't watching.
You weren't watching.
I watched.
Nah, you weren't watching.
You ain't watching.
You ain't watching.
Chat.
What y'all think about Ocho's performance today?
Honestly, what y'all think about Ocho's performance?
It's only so much I can do.
I'm trying to find out.
Ocho, somebody said you need to just sell cigars on the sideline.
Hey,
listen, listen,
people, people, if people know football, if they understand football and you watching, then you already know I have to be careful.
I can't say what I want to say.
You know, it's just, just, but I have fun.
I know one thing, I'm fast as hell.
All I know is you said you're going to score you about three or four touchdowns.
That's what our chat.
That's what our listeners.
That's what our subscribers were expecting.
Let me ask you something.
Do you want me, do, how am I going to throw?
See, I'm trying to be careful.
Okay.
Right.
Right.
I mean, you want me to throw it to myself and then run and go catch.
No.
Okay.
You weren't getting open.
Okay.
Not now.
Now, that's what we're going to do is we, what we're not going to do is we're not going to play with my feet like that.
That's what we're not going to do.
You walking.
We're not.
man out there walking in his rocks.
Hey, hey,
I would put them up and put them down.
Hey, I'm trying to think.
What year was that?
That might have been like 2009.
What happened?
We actually had
an NFL flag football game.
For real?
We had like Marino, Montana.
Yeah.
It was me, T.O.
Prime.
Y'all playing.
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah okay
hey them boy hey they was out there playing hard boy they used to have a uh uh a flag a flag football game during the um
the super bowl on mtv for real yeah with uh
it was me warren moon dan marino nelly uh uh uh
uh
Lachey used to be married to uh Jessica Simpson.
Lala, Nicole, Richie.
Oh, yeah.
Why they stopped doing that, man?
I don't know.
But we read a play.
Because Nelly Athletic, man, Nelly Athletic as hell.
Nellie taking it up.
Yeah, Nelly.
But anyway,
so the last play, they say, this is the last play.
Whoever,
if we score a touchdown, we win.
If they knock it down, they win.
Right.
Man, we put Nelly.
They put Nelly outside.
Warren Moon say, Moran say, Rich run a nine.
Warren threw it up, Nelly ran up under it.
Like 50 yards.
Yep.
Nelly fast, huh?
Yeah, Nelly can, Nelly athletic for real, for real.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
It's so funny is you, you get to see some of these dudes that obviously they're streamers.
That's what they do.
No full time.
And then they actually see them, Duke Dennis and JC.
I'm like, wait a minute.
Wait a minute.
Boy, if y'all boys don't put that camera down, boy, y'all could do something with that.
I think Dude Dennis was in the military.
For real?
I think so.
What did you?
Yeah.
I didn't know that.
A military take it and take a different type of discipline, man.
Yeah.
All that who he be screaming at me.
Yeah.
Yeah, you know, I caught me a caught me a gold ball called me a gold ball on a, he used to be married to Sophia Begar.
Joe Mellet Margie El Nello.
I think that's his, I don't know how to say his last name, but he's married to Sophia Begar.
Yeah.
The actor, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I beat him on the go ball, Ocho.
I read a stutter nine on him.
Man, I felt bad bad.
I know I just ain't run no stutter nine on this man.
And this man probably ain't never played football or had played football forever.
Yeah.
That was fun.
A Fitzpatrick was over there, man, man, throwing dimes.
He's throwing dimes.
The chat say Jay Cinco looked like Prime.
and Ocho.
What?
Hold on.
He ain't looking like Prime on me.
I miss Ocho, the man catching touchdown epic.
He looked like Travis Hunter.
He out there catching touchdown and picking it off.
Hold on, hold on.
What that got to do with me?
I didn't see none of that from you.
What that got to do with you is that Jay Sinko, he might be the real Ocho Cinco.
Okay, okay, but listen, they throwing him the ball all the time.
I see him picking it off.
He playing like Air Reed.
Well, he wasn't picking it off.
He's in Silverfield going to get it.
Hmm.
Listen, you still, I'm trying to understand what you want me to do.
I want you to do more than what you did.
I don't know what you need to do, but just do more than what you did.
You know what that would take?
That would take for me acting a goddamn fool on the sideline and saying, get me the ball every goddamn time.
You used to it.
You've done it before.
Do it again.
I did.
And in real games on Sunday at one o'clock.
That's a real game.
You making us look bad.
No, No, I didn't.
They might not invite us back to nothing.
No, they're gonna invite us back.
No, they're gonna invite you back.
They're gonna invite me.
I ain't doing nothing.
I ain't doing nothing that required me to do anything above a walk.
I'm a coach.
But listen, you know, you know, you know what you got to understand?
Is how I have to play it safe?
Is the fact that they keep inviting them to these things.
I don't want to be, I don't want them to remember the old person because if it was the old Chad, I would have been snapping on the sideline.
I don't want that because I want to keep getting invited to things like this to be able to have fun and enjoy myself.
Man, I remember I coached in the all-star game.
I can't make it about, I can't make it about me.
Okay, I appreciate that.
I gotta be careful,
gotta be careful.
Man, I coached in the all-star game in Indy, NBA all-star game that's with the celebs.
Hey, Kashan,
yeah,
yeah, I had a Puka, I had Mike on my team, Jewel Lloyd,
Jennifer Hudson.
Nah, Jennifer Hudson's on the other team.
But anyway, man, my knees and back hurts so bad, all that standing.
I said, I don't know how them coaches do it.
And you had anybody that could hoop?
Man, Puka.
Oh, yeah.
I forgot Puka know how to play.
Yeah.
Micah.
Micah had like 30 points, like 20 rebounds.
Jewel Lloyd.
We had a couple of hoopers.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

You can see it.
Based on base, just based on you and how you add yeast to a lot of stories so they grow.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
I don't add yeast to nothing.
