Hi again, critters.
It's Sam Regal, and you're listening to part two of this episode from the Critical Role Podcast Network.
If you haven't checked out part one yet, pause this now and head over there first.
Otherwise, enjoy part two.
Oh no.
Did you just bludgeon somebody?
Yeah, I think so.
I think we have insurance claims coming in.
Is everyone okay up there?
Okay.
All right.
That doesn't look good.
Oh, no.
Oh, oh.
Yeah.
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, boy.
Uh-oh.
I think it's fine.
So, Fern's at the tippy top of the tower.
Oh, that, wait, that's right there.
Ferns over there.
Oh, okay.
This is Tevin, and this is the devil that is currently reading the scroll.
Shit, there's a map.
There's a map.
We walked right past it.
This is out!
It was out.
We were just...
We were paying attention.
Yeah.
Crap out with your map out.
I don't know what that means.
Too late, you know.
Too late.
So.
Oh, God.
As you all just crest that hill and stand there at the side, you can see the rocky scape before you.
The tower where the one black-crowned devil is currently reading the scroll.
With Tevin at its side, arms crossed looking down upon Fern Calloway, who is currently on the top of that central precipice.
These kind of purplish-red chains wrap around her and binding her to the top.
And as the words of the reading devil begin to speak, the very scroll kind of flares, and as it does, the chains on her seem to brighten and flash as well.
The two other large devils seem to turn and loom as other smaller ones skitter around the base.
Could I please bring to the table the people that are guiding these two guardian devils?
What?
Let's go ahead and bring in Chris Perkins and Jeremy Crawford.
Not Caramy Crockins!
Oh, come on.
Crockins is awesome.
I have had this nightmare.
You guys look awesome.
You look so good.
You have chairs behind you.
You can sit.
Yes.
You are now facing.
That's why we had so many horns.
Yeah, this is a three-headed GM.
If you would
as I give you your sheets.
if you would like to take a moment to further describe the devils that you are helming here, guarding the base and space of this
infernal enclave
of Infernal Adult.
I am really big
and covered with football-sized fleas.
I hate that.
That's it.
That's my backstop.
As for Fazu, the fell prosecutor,
grips its axe, covered in football-sized fleas, you notice the approaching crew.
What do they hear burble from your lips?
No hope,
only fear.
And on this side, would Asteridith, the grim litigator, please speak on your presence and your
noticing of their arrival.
I have four arms, two of which endlessly scribble upon a pad of rules
as I look around, licking my lips.
Ready to bring fell prosecution.
Oh no, he's a rules lawyer!
You know it, baby.
As
this entity with the scroll reads out,
and it is written here in the great script
that this joint agreement, twice renewed by Miss Calloway, binds her deeply into the service of Asmodeus Lord of the Hells?
For this,
the contract flares, and I mark a D12 on the 12
for the deliberation countdown has begun.
Whenever any of you fail an action roll with fear, it ticks down.
And
the arbitrator up top, Zachruffor,
who reads it might be able to manipulate it further.
But should that count down,
perhaps Fern's fate is sealed.
Whoa.
She succeeded.
What would you like to do, Belzef?
My fate is determined that dice roll!
What is this?
Before we go into battle, can I just turn to my friends and say,
listen, I've faced Asmodeus before, and it is very hard.
And hell is very strong, but there's one thing stronger than hell.
Bell's hells.
We will overcome, and we're going to bring our girl home.
And with that, I'll use Rally to give everybody one hope die.
Yes!
So all of you get a D6 that you can add to any reaction roll you make?
Oh, it's not a hope die, it's a D6.
Correct.
Even better.
That you can add to anything.
Any reaction?
Okay.
Yep, reaction.
Alright, whatever you want.
But at level 5, I think the rally die changes to a D8, right?
Oh, right.
Well,
what's it say on your multi-class sheet?
Lobby rules?
What'd you say that?
What's it say on your multi-class sheet?
I don't know, buddy.
It says at level 5, your rally die is a D8.
That's what I thought.
So instead, you guys get a D8 to utilize.
My DH has vanished.
I love it.
There we go.
As this horned Minotaur speaks out hopeful words to its friends, the two of you do note
the presence of Infernal Mark in its body and its eyes.
Asmodeus has already burned a deep hook into the soul of this one that still lingers.
Why are you looking at me like that?
Because you are one of us.
I mean,
I'm...
I feel like I'm cuter a little bit.
Come, join the win inside.
I'm going to spend a fear
to have the arbitrator read out further.
Beyond this contractual point, Fern Calloway is responsible for great dark deeds in her past, weighing her soul to the hells to begin with.
Fern, I'd like you to describe something you've done in the past that has marked a bit of your soul with sin.
How much time do we have?
Um,
I have to pick one.
Okay.
Wow.
Well, I think.
Well, I feel like something that still doesn't sit well with me was when I
tossed a coin for someone's life.
Indeed, the flippancy
and the way you've treated
the lives and fates of others that call you friend weighs on you and darkens a fragment of your spirit as the countdown reduces to a ten.
Okay, I'm I see all the little devils and all of the little impies and I go like, ooh,
I've got some of those too, and I would like to cast a dark army.
Very well, Lana.
Go ahead and roll for spellcast.
Okay.
I don't want to mess this up.
Okay, I get to add a plastic.
Um,
okay, I would love to add, um, add one of my favor to this
for shadow.
So that will add a four plus six.
So it's
really,
this should go great.
This should go great.
That went great.
That went good.
It is with fear, but don't worry about that.
All right, so this is going to be 18 plus 10.
28.
A 28 is definitely a success on that spell.
Describe what you conjure from the essence of Delilah you pull from within your chest and that bond.
So I see Fern and I'm remembering all the things that she taught me and all of her fiery ways.
And you just see dark tendrils stretch from the tips of my fingers into the ground and then bursting up from the infernal plain
undead shadow creatures with a little bit of flicker of flame all rise around me, eight of them.
You watch as Laudna is now surrounded by a veritable small army of undead creatures that kind of
howl and gurgle around her.
Now that was with fear, which brings the spotlight back to me.
Would either of you like to take the spotlight?
Oh, yes.
Prepare to be judged by a jury of your superiors.
And I begin scrolling on this ledger.
And as I do so, I begin a countdown.
And as you are naughty...
I'll put this here to keep it present.
There you go.
This is going to tick down toward your doom.
Is that it?
Oh, no.
That was merely a reaction.
I now call forth my dread enforcers.
Come forth and teach them the deliciousness of compliance.
All right, so you'll spend a fear from the pull to do that?
Yes, and so, because of that, I now call forth D4 plus three devil enforcers.
There are six of them that now manifest within close range of me.
Where would you like them to manifest, my friend?
As close
to these malefactors as possible.
It's like Blue Man group.
But with horns.
This is the coolest night.
Oh, when it comes to the form of your destroyer, they're worse than
six of these little armored kind of skittering enforcers kind of appear summoning out of black and red mist and smoke, all
in that space, they are immediately spotlighted.
So these devil enforcers are going to turn and focus on Braus.
Braus, I'm going to go ahead and spend a fear to have them group attack against you as they all rush in and swarm you.
You cannot attack me, you cannot touch me.
As they do, I'm going to go ahead.
As they do.
That's going to be a seven to hit you, Braus.
What's your evasion?
Oh my god, my evasion's eight.
I rolled really bad for you.
You did!
I told you.
They clamor on you and climb on you.
The rest of you watch as Braus is just being swarmed by these devils.
And yet they cannot quite pierce the armor.
It's like some sort of strange greenish cloak flashes by.
A protective force unseen deflects them faintly.
That's going to finish their spotlight.
Would you like to go?
Yes, please.
The spend of fear to let you do something.
Who's closest to me?
You can probably rush over to Braeus if you'd like.
Oh, yes.
Why?
Because she's so much greater.
You cannot
touch me.
As I leap up onto this plinth, the brimstone under my hooves cracks.
and I will bring out my culling axes.
Plural?
Plural axes?
Yes.
And I will use
my standard action.
Oh my god.
It sounds so metal.
Spend another fear if he wants.
It's up to you.
Or you can.
Come on, you
take a hunk of meat.
You can do better than that.
Let's go for it.
Go ahead and roll an an attack.
Fear daddy, can I spend a fear?
Yes, you may.
Thank you.
You name.
I like us.
Fear daddy says yes.
I have an experience called enchanting.
That's your next game.
I will use that.
And I rolled a mighty 17.
Okay, you can't touch me.
Alright, so that's 4 D12 plus 16 physical damage.
Would you like to roll or should I?
You roll it, buddy.
See your damage dice.
There you go.
Oh, my goodness.
Look at all those dice.
Roll shitty.
Oh, I got bad news.
I'm really scary.
So all of you within far range
lose a hope.
And we gain a fear.
Yes, we do.
For you are terrifying.
Yes.
Delicious.
Alright, you take 38 physical damage.
Bring it on.
Okay, so as a note, you also have a Hellsteel weapon.
I do.
But so, did you have to mark any armor slots?
Oh, sure, I did.
You marked one?
I did.
Mark another.
I don't want to.
My hell steel weapon carves through your tissue paper armor.
Wait,
my tissue paper.
You're talking about Truth Bear, a fabled plate of Uthor Vendral.
Oh, my mistake.
I apologize.
I'm gonna use rolling punishment.
Okay.
After I make a successful attack against the target, I can mark a stress and attack somebody else.
Yes, you may.
Whoa!
So go ahead and mark a stress.
Yes.
And you can move within close range to make your next attack.
Where would you like to move?
Who's closest?
I mean, that whole group is kind of within range if you want to move.
Who's the least popular?
You've kind of already hit him, man.
I don't know.
Being honest, it's me.
Yeah.
You have the shiny blue boy, the tiny halfling, you have the tiny halfling.
Let's go.
I hear you have a kind heart.
I will enjoy eating it.
Inside a fleshy halfling shell?
That's going to be a 21.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
You all lose a hope.
You all lose a hope.
Everybody!
And we gain a fear.
And we gain a fear.
Damn it!
No!
And you take 50 physical damage.
I'll mark two.
No, I can't do that.
I'll mark one armor.
No, you mark two.
Whenever you have to mark an armor slot, instead you mark two against this weapon.
Two armor and two hit points for
This is very stressful for me, too.
I burn another stress.
Burns another stress.
Yes.
I'll attack the pretty blue guy.
Are you out of hope?
He's still going?
Yeah.
Yes.
Oh, yes.
He can go all night long.
He's as hot as an infernal cyclone.
That's going to be a 18.
Yeah.
I'm sorry, you were very pretty.
What's that past tense there?
You take 44 physical damage.
Everybody loses a hope.
And we gain a fear.
We gain a fear.
We don't have to go home any hope.
All of us?
Wait, if we don't have any more hope, do we.
Then you're just out of hope?
Okay, okay, okay.
You're all out of hope.
All right.
You were supposed to abandon the hope before you entered here.
You also lost one extra armor if you took an armor off.
Yeah, sorry.
Two armored, too physical.
All right.
Who's next?
Another stress.
Oh, man.
Damn it, Perkins.
Destroy them!
Let's go with the shattered glass guy.
Bring it!
Bring it!
He says,
I'm very sorry I have to do this.
I know how much this hurts.
Will it?
It hurts me even more.
Oh, my goodness.
I rolled a 12.
Yeah, evasion 8.
I'm fine.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
Can I burn a prayer dice to lower his attack?
What's it say on the prayer?
I don't know.
You know Sam never learned to read.
It says, I.
Wait, but even if I lowered it by four, it'd still be eight, so he would still hit.
Never mind.
I know, I'm fine.
Okay.
I'm fine.
Let's go ahead and roll some damage.
Right.
He's fine.
He's fine.
Jeez, that's a lot of dice.
I rolled really crappy.
Yep.
That'll be 18 plus 16 is 34.
You gotta define your means.
I agree.
And I'm sorry, that's gonna take two off your armor.
If I use armor.
True enough.
He's sorry.
This devil's Canadian.
I'm
I'll take him.
I'll take two hit points.
I don't need to lose my armor.
All right, you all lose a hope and we gain a few.
What damn it?
Why don't you mean I'm so
wiped?
I'll start using armor once I killed you.
It'll be fine.
Oh, that was stressful.
I think I'll take a break.
Alright.
I, yeah.
That will
conclude our spotlight.
It's back to you.
I'm kicking it.
Actually, I was gonna say, can I power?
Wait.
I have a quick question.
Yes.
I am
with the chains, I can't use magic.
Currently, you'd have to break free, or someone would have to help you break free.
Got it.
If I just charge up the stuff and spend a stress to charge up, would that count as an action since I'm not rolling anything technically?
Oh, you can, you can, you can, if you want to go take take the transformation, go for it.
Okay, so I'm just going to like, having taken this hit, I am grinning a big grin and I am going to, and I think because it's only one stress for all of this, I'm going to go full
shard of Komort unstoppable havoc.
I am just.
It's like watching a, like I'm almost doing a transformation like Laudna, where it's just getting bigger and heads are going in and out of reality.
And I just finally stop and am
a massive, twice the size, weird gravitational black hole ready for some shit.
Let's go.
So let's do this!
Alright,
I think what I'm about to do does not trigger an action.
I go running through my friends.
I
smack Dorian on the ass as I run by and say, let's go get our girl.
And I use
a soldier's bomb once per per long rest when you compliment someone or ask them about something good they're good at.
You can both gain three hope.
You and I each get three hope.
Phenomenal.
I'm gonna go running up onto the rock formation
as far as I can.
Then I'm gonna use seedling, spend a stress to vine myself to Fern's shoulder, to that sturdy brick house frame.
You got it.
I can hold you.
And then I'll spend another stress to flea jump as far and high as I can off Fern's shoulder towards the tower's peak and hold on as high as I can.
At a far range, you could stop right at Tevin's feet.
So you land
right
there.
And you are holding on to the edge as Tevin is looming over you.
I'm going to hold it there.
And let my friends follow in after you.
Seeing Orm do that, I'm going to go, that's a great idea.
I'm gonna turn to Laden and go, yo,
love looks good on your dead ass.
We should rock this shit and I'm gonna use a soldier's bomb and get three hoke for the both of us.
Do you also smack me on the ass?
No, I'm not gonna mess with that.
Um, okay.
All right, is there anything else you wanna do, Chetney, with your spotlight?
Uh, that was enough.
Fair.
I'm gonna step forward and I'm going to
speak to them
and say, eyes up here.
And I'm going to cast Mass and Rapture and fly up in the air.
Awesome.
Okay, because you're still using your flight, right?
Yes, flight is still active.
I have two of my actions left on it.
Alrighty.
So, what's the range on Mass and Rapture?
Far.
Far range?
So you probably fly here to get them both within far range.
So you,
as
Imogen coasts up into the hellish air above, you're gonna go ahead and
reaching out with your mind into both of your devilish consciousnesses.
You hear this.
You're going to go ahead and roll for your mess and rapture.
Yeah.
Let's go, K-pop.
Come on, come on.
Okay, okay, okay, okay.
Okay, listen.
When I'm attempting an action roll to change someone's disposition or emotional state, so I'm going to try to change their emotions to focus on me.
I'll allow that, yeah.
Okay, then I'm going to, Mark of Stress, dear God,
to roll a D20 for my hope die.
Great, let's go.
Anything else you want to spend on this?
Yes!
I want to spend God Eater!
Oh, I don't have any hope.
Fuck, I can't.
That's got you do have your class abilities too, don't forget.
I know.
Wait, I should have smacked your ass.
Yeah,
should have.
Remember, you can burn stress to increase stuff as your character's ability on the bottom of your left-hand part of your sheet.
Yeah, I'm gonna mark uh oh god, two more st- Yes, I'm gonna burn my last two stress.
To add, uh...
Oh my god.
Oh wait, but that's just adding my...
Wait, listen.
To add plus two to my spellcast roll.
Okay.
So that adds another plus two.
And then now that I'm all out of my stress, all my stress is marked, I get advantage on this roll.
Yes, you do.
So...
As you stress yourself out, your innate psychic ability, your Ruidian Bond begins to flicker and burst out of you like an uncontrolled Gene Gray-esque scream.
And I'm gonna roll.
Let's roll.
Okay, come on, baby.
Okay, and then I get it.
Also, I get a D6, and I'm gonna use your.
Okay, listen, I'm gonna do this first.
See what I'm rolling.
That's a natural twin!
Let's go!
Okay, okay.
20, 29
plus 5
is
30 something.
That is definitely a success.
Okay.
So mark that hope, because that's with hope.
Oh, good, okay.
Yeah, baby.
So both of you,
suddenly the rest of this just becomes distant noise, and all you see is this sparking psychic target that is taunting and drawing you towards her.
You see nothing in the space but her.
She's all that matters.
You are amazing.
We are beneath you.
She must be.
I must punish you for this.
This countdown ticks down because you made an action role.
We gotta deal with the lawyer.
Okay, I'm gonna, in, in, in Aurum's brain, I'm gonna say,
break her locks whilst I've got them distracted.
Now it's with the hoax, so the the spotlight's still on you all.
Oh, good.
Alright.
May I, are these, are these magical locks?
Uh, they are.
You are bound in chains, but they are there are manacles on your wrists.
Okay.
I have-I have
pick and pull,
which I could try to try to lock pick it.
If you'd like to, if you want to use one of your fingers to try and pick the.
Oh, I have no hope!
So I can't use my experience.
Your ass is so far away!
Damn it!
No!
Alright, so.
Okay, but I have advantage
on action rolls to pick, well, non-magical locks.
This is why I asked.
They're magical locks.
Unfortunately, that's not going to give you an advantage on this because they are magical.
That's fine.
That's fine.
I'm just going to roll and I'm going to get right out of them.
That's what we're going to do right now.
You need a finesse roll for me.
All right.
No problem.
We're going to do it right now.
We're going to do it right now.
I'm going to end my D8.
I'm going to end my D8.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Sorry, I don't know why I'm screaming.
Okay.
Okay.
It is a fear, but it's not bad.
It's not bad, it's not bad.
Okay, it's 20 with fear.
20 with fear.
The difficulty of the space is 19.
So that is a success.
So you do manage to pick the manacle, then with that coming loose, you pick the other one, and you manage to shrug off the infernal chains.
Okay.
The physical ones are tossed off of you, and you're now free to move and free to to cast.
However,
you rolled with fear.
So the spotlight comes back to us.
And because you made an action roll, this countdown goes down.
We've got to deal with the warrior.
Yep.
First, I will activate, as part of the spotlight here, the arbitrator,
which begins to read off once more.
Miss Fern Calloway
is bound between multiple individuals across the realms, but their bindings do not hold sway against infernal law.
She weighs down significantly further.
Fern, describe another piece of sin in your past.
Oh no.
I don't know why my mind is going blank because there's just so much in there.
I mean...
Is that really a sin?
Wait, what are you doing?
What is this?
I don't understand what this is.
You forgot already?
What the three...
Oh.
I don't know if that was that bad.
We were just having fun.
Oh, it was good.
All right.
Fine.
It was.
We were busy with trauma.
She engaged in a carnal mid-forest three-away with a werewolf.
Yes, I did.
Yes, I did.
That's kind of awesome.
Yes, it is.
She definitely belongs here.
Yes, she deserves a medal rather than punishment.
Agreed.
While the physical chains are.
Not a chance.
You see Tevin still kind of arms folded is kind of looking at you with a blank expression, but now looks at your halfling friend who's kind of hanging off the edge of the tower.
At this point, while you're not physically in chains as he reads from this scroll and each section of it goes by, you feel like part of your body gets heavier.
Like with this progressive use, you become more and more bound to this rock.
For many, the idea of starting a business comes with a mix of excitement and hesitation.
You keep asking yourself, what if it doesn't work out?
Or what if someone else beats me to it?
It's time to stop thinking about what if and start doing.

It's still our spotlight.
Would either of you like to go?
Oh, yes.
Suspend a fear and spotlight you, my friend.
I now, looking at your glory, flying up in the air, unfurled wings of flame.
Yeah, I realized that a little too late.
Wings of flame.
And I rise up.
Are you within a melee of me really quickly?
This guy?
No.
Oh, okay.
Oh, that's here.
Oh, never mind.
I thought you were the big dude.
Oh, carry on.
Sorry.
I was hoping.
What would you like to do?
Where would you like to go?
I was fearing.
I'd soar toward you and unfurl a giant lash of fire and whip it at you with extreme judgment.
You whip it.
Whip it good?
Fear, Daddy.
May I spend a fear?
Why, of course you can.
You treat us so well.
I do try.
And so, I now make a standard attack.
Yes.
Thank you.
Against
your evasion, which is halved against this attack.
And so, that's going to be 21.
Then, you now are going to take.
May I have 4d8, please?
Yes, you may.
There you are.
You take 27 magic damage as hellfire wreaths around you, and
do you mark one or more hit points?
Well, listen.
Uh, not if I use my armor,
which I do.
So, you marked none at all.
I marked one hit point.
Delicious.
As the hellfire wreaths around you and scorches you,
you are now vulnerable until you clear at least one stress.
I have so much stress.
So, all attacks against you going forward
are at advantage.
Retro.
Alrighty, would you like to go?
Oh, yes, please.
Damn it.
I want Bern of Fear to spotlight you.
Now, all I see is this radiant star.
Yeah.
Am I
drawn to it?
It is the only target you can see, and it looks tasty.
Oh, okay.
I wouldn't, you know, listen.
Here's the thing, Matt.
I would have flown up pretty high.
You can move up to far range, yeah.
Yeah.
Huh.
Huh.
Well, I don't have wings.
Is there a catapult or something?
There is a volcanic top you could attempt to leap off of.
You know what?
I will stand on top of that.
You can jump up and down.
You're going to have to do a reaction roll, though, because right now I am a gravity pit.
So if you're standing next to me,
you're going to have to succeed on a reaction roll.
All right, what's the difficulty on?
Eight.
So go ahead and roll a d20.
You have to beat an eight with a plus.
That'll do it.
Yep.
All right.
Worth a try, but worth a try.
I felt something small tugging on my leg, but it's okay.
Oh no.
I leap onto this fumarole and wait for an ejaculation of lava to propel me into the air.
Proper word term use.
Oh man.
As you kick onto it, the rock kind of crumbles in.
As it bursts up, you go leaping into the air and you have a split second above Imogen.
You watch as this massive, terrifying devil
rises up in slow motion with its massive axes and is gonna attempt to come down on you.
Would you like to make an attack?
I would.
Let's do it.
It's gonna be a 21.
That hits.
Yeah.
Sorry.
And I'm vulnerable.
Is it really bad?
Do you feel bad?
I feel awful.
This is your
41 physical damage.
And
I can only mark
Gibilees.
But does it mark two?
Does it mark two armor slots against you, or is that just a specific attack that you're doing?
No, that's...
So if you mark an extra one than you would normally get it.
She is made of cellophane.
And that was how much?
And everybody loses a hope, and we gain a fear.
Yes, we do, baby.
baby.
Is Orum out of the range of that?
Wait, wait, wait.
What was the total damage?
So Orum is out of range of that.
Yeah.
Okay, then I still take major damage, so that's two more hit points.
Do I fall?
You do.
Okay.
You plummet, but as you land, you kind of catch yourself on your knee.
That'll end your spotlight.
I'm gonna go ahead and spend a fear to activate the group of devils, then spend a fear for them to do a group attack.
Wait, weren't the group of devils...
They could have been enraptured.
Oh, that's true.
It's true.
Good job.
They would have been enraptured.
You're right.
So.
Good job.
Good job.
That was the three.
The devils themselves are also enraptured.
And they're just kind of focused on you.
They kind of move over here, and they don't really activate.
They're just kind of stepping on the outside going, hey, what's going on?
look at the shiny flying lady
yeah I'm not gonna stop them from doing that instead I'm gonna go ahead and activate Tevin
who looks down upon you or and goes
it's just business
and is gonna stomp on your foot to try and kick you off uh-huh uh-huh so this is going to be uh
I'm gonna say, go ahead and make a strength
reaction roll.
I'll make a pitch that you're gonna say no to.
Okay.
Can I use agility to try to fancy hand parkour away from the stomp?
Yeah, I'll love that.
So make an agility reaction roll.
I'm gonna spend a hope to use my experience tiny dancer.
All right.
Come on.
And plus five.
Plus five.
Two, three.
Okay.
Four, five.
So help me with my experience, sexual dynamo.
Wow.
I don't know why that would work.
Why wouldn't it?
It's never failed you before, really.
Welcome.
Oh.
Oh, crit.
Oh!
Oh!
Well, there you go.
Take that hope, clear that stress, and that is a success.
You just haven't standed.
Stand over hand over hand away.
I'll say with a crit, too, you actually hand over hand and get back up onto the tower itself.
You're no longer hanging off.
You are on the tower.
Can I follow up?
No, because it's still our spotlight.
I will spend another few because I do have a few to spend.
And the
arbitrator is going to begin to continue to read from this scroll.
She is currently subtly bound to the unseely court, as well as a dread pirate ghost,
a primordial titan, those are gone
Right here.
You see them wipe their finger across it, and some of it just gets kind of crossed out and left off, which causes it to tick down two more times.
We're now at six.
That's going to end our spotlight.
It's back to you.
We're trying to solve the problem up here.
Okay, so I will
hoist myself up to the side of the little guy who is holding the scroll.
Yes, I will use Call of the Brave battle ritual.
Once per long rest before you attempt something incredibly dangerous or face off against a foe.
We'll call this dangerous.
Describe the ritual you perform.
Aurum
does the Zephyr atom and centers himself.
Does like a two-second
like Taiichi battle position holds.
I clear two stress, gain two hope.
And I want to use
Wrangle, make an agility roll against all targets within close range.
Spend hope.
I'll do it.
To move targets you succeed against.
Any...
There are no allies here.
So I want to knock both of these assholes off the tower.
Alrighty, go ahead.
Go ahead and make that agility roll against both of them.
Okay.
Alright, so it's plus five for agility.
I'm going to spend another hope to use
Zephyrin Strength to add four more.
Let's go.
Here we go.
13, 40, 20, 17, 20,
22, with hope.
Yeah.
That's a success.
Take that hope.
So they both go opposite directions.
And with my movement, I will leap after the one holding the scroll.
All right.
the one that is knocked off the side here, you're leaping after him?
Yeah.
If he's still holding the scroll, he's still holding the scroll for the moment.
Yep.
You leap after, and he plummets down onto this platform.
And you both kind of catch yourselves there.
Tevin is going to fly off, and his wings unfurl
and fly back to the top of the tower.
Yeah.
Well, kill all the lawyers, I guess.
And speaking of which, because you made an action roll, this countdown ticks down.
Alright.
So, still spotlight still you?
Yes.
Anyone got a drawer?
Can I hit the big stuff over here?
Maria, you want to go or me?
Um, okay.
Okay, here's what I want to do.
I want to at least get to- God, I don't, I don't want to mess this up.
I want to get a withering affliction off on you to where if he starts beating on us again, it takes, uh, we take less damage.
Malfazu.
Malfazu.
And Alstaradith?
What?
Uh-huh.
I tried to write the names down, you guys, but don't miss this.
Yeah, it's Al and Mal.
Alright, come on, come on.
Do you know what these haven't been doing to me?
I'm gonna do these.
I'm gonna do these.
Let's go.
This is gonna be fun.
Okay, okay, okay.
This is gonna be good.
Uh, wait, what's happened?
That's bad.
Wait, you have a you have a rally dice.
That's bad.
I have a rally dice.
Is it so bad bad that it's not worth it?
Hang on, hang on, hang on, wait.
Tell us what it is.
Hang on, hang on, be quiet for a second.
Three, seven, nine, twelve.
Just twelve.
What's twelve?
Twelve?
What's 12?
What's 12?
Well, I know, but
does anyone know if 12 hits?
Does anyone know?
It does.
Metagaming.
I am.
It does?
I am.
Shut up, Bern.
I'm going to roll this rally die.
Okay.
Make it so.
16 to 16 hit.
Can I add a prayer dice to that?
No.
If you wanna add a prayer dice to it, I will add three more to that.
That does success.
Is that with hope or fear?
Uh, fear.
Okay.
I'm sorry.
Bad at dagger hurt.
But, um,
you are withered, so while you are withered, any damage that is dealt by him is reduced by one hit point
I was trying to debuff him so we don't get our asses kicked
thank you
whoever said that
thanks to that action roll my countdown ticks down
and because
You hit my large needy companion, I look at you and I say shame
Shame
And I take my large quill and put a big check mark next to your name in my ledger, which gives me a debt token.
And as I receive this debt token, you can see the hellfire around me starts to grow brighter and burn more furiously.
And with that fear, withered as your friend may be, I'm going to go ahead and bring the spotlight back to you.
You got a lot of guys in a line there.
No.
Now, my question is, Fear Daddy.
Yes.
Amen.
Am I allowed to look at anyone beside the glorious Imager?
It was.
Listen, Enrapture is temporarily enraptured.
Right, so I can spend.
You can spend your activation to get rid of it if you want to.
Oh, I clear that shit.
Alright.
But because
you do have an ability
called Relentless, I can spend a fear for you to take another activation.
So now that you're no longer clouded by Imogens and Rapture, though it did spend an action, what would you like to do?
You were just telling me about that glorious line of people in front of me, and so I raise up my fiery whip and I say, Feel the might of litigation!
That is far range,
which misses Dorian,
but does catch Imogen,
Lodna, and Chetney.
And doing this, I will share with you all, it does give me some stress as I think about all the paperwork I'm going to have to file after we lay you in the grave.
And so I make a standard attack roll.
That is 17 against all of you in the line.
Who's in the line?
Is that everyone?
The line is going to be Imogen, Lodna, and Chedni.
Okay.
That's 17 to hit?
Yes.
That hits.
That hits.
Yeah, that hits.
Oh, I love these 48.
Oh.
1111.
That is 32 magic damage.
Okay, wait, wait, wait.
Was that a spell?
No, that was a strike of his whip.
That was the strike of the whip.
Okay.
Damn.
Alright, I'm going to, as this happens, I take one of my undead army and I grab him by the neck and I just throw him in front of me for a second.
And I get to reduce that damage by 1d8 thanks to my dark army.
Ooh, that's an eight.
So wait.
So one of your undead kind of jumps in the way.
No longer.
Oh, oh my god.
Please don't, please stop.
Wait, was it 32 magical damage?
I was in shotgun.
32 magical damage.
Yes.
I'm actually gonna throw one more at it too, because I can do that.
That's good!
That's good, that drops it to a minor damage.
I can't shoot marking arm because it doesn't mark it.
Oh gosh.
Each of you are also very stressed out by this and must mark a stress
as you are you are scorched by hellfire.
And finally, please document for me verbally how many of you I have just lashed.
Three?
Three.
Me?
Is that three of you?
Three.
Three.
Delicious.
And I gain three debt tokens.
Sitting at five there.
Remind me
if I am full up on stress and I have to take another one that takes a hit point.
That's a hit point.
Okay.
Oh, God.
What are you doing there?
I'm in danger, girl.
You're too far away for me to touch.
I realize that.
I'm in...
I'm in
trouble.
I'm gonna go ahead and say...
I'm gonna spend another fear.
Do you wanna go, bud?
Yes, let's go.
Am I still entranced by this angel?
You are.
Oh.
Then I must repeat my previous action and leap on the funeral.
Throw it up into the air to strike her.
Though I long not to,
I daren't
not
your logic is sound, my friend.
Malfazu, take your strike.
I'm not the smart one.
I'm the big one.
All right.
Oh, no.
It's gonna be a 19.
That hits.
That hits me.
Alright, let's have damage here.
No, the damage is half.
Minus one.
Minus one.
Minus one half.
Minus one hit point.
So Mark, keep that in mind.
My fault.
Minus one hit point.
It does not really gonna matter.
Well, he wasn't supposed to hit you.
Now I'm speaking to you.
Wait, what is he's.
53 physical damage.
Can I...
Wait, what did you hit him with?
Can I, I am your shield, this?
You are so far away from her.
Can I I leap?
On your next spotlight, you can get closer if you'd like.
You're so far.
I can't do it.
Did you lose any armor?
Oh, I'm going to lose two armor for you.
So, 50, what?
I'm sorry, I'm not hearing the numbers because I'm always like,
what was it?
53.
53 minus 6 is still severe damage.
So you dropped that by one.
Oh, wait, I don't take it.
I just take it down to one.
I just take it down.
Oh.
so it's down to two hit points.
If you spend the armor, it brings it down to one.
Oh, okay, wait, wait, wait.
This is great because another time I oh, never mind.
Just fuck it.
I can't go back.
Okay, wait.
So, I take just one hit point.
Well, it would be three.
It's reduced to two, and then if you use the two armor slots, it goes to one.
I'm still at nothing, though, with that.
I'm out of hit points.
Okay, Ladna.
Hold on.
You watch.
Is that
Is that real good for you?
Well, so.
Oh, yeah.
Malfazu constants a PC to mark their last hit point.
Malfazu rolls a 1d4 and clears that between their hit points or stress.
Yes, my stress.
Oh no, well, you didn't need that dice.
It's fine.
It's done now.
It's gone.
It's gone, purse.
Floor dice don't count.
Four.
It's been great, y'all.
I am not stressed at all.
Welcome to the death of Bell's Hells.
Did I remind you, all PCs within far range of me lose a hope?
Oh, that's right.
So with that.
I've been out of hope for a while.
Fern, you do not lose hope?
I have zero hope.
There you go.
And
you do not lose hope, Aurum.
The rest of you lose a hope, and we gain a fear.
And we gain a fear.
Correct.
However, Imogen,
as the massive axe carves into you, you feel consciousness flicker out of you.
I need you to make a death move for me, please.
Oh, no.
Now.
Blaze of glory.
No.
No!
Risk it all, or you can just drop to zero hit points and be unable to engage until someone heals you.
Girl.
I'm going to do that one for you.
We haven't been rolling this one.
Because here's the thing.
I tried the other one and it didn't work out so well for me before.
No, no.
The rest of you watch as Imogen is carved from the sky by the massive devil and plummets next to the lava roiling space.
The flicker of her psychic spark fades and she lays cold and still, still breathing, but barely.
Your co-worker's eating mystery leftovers.
Again, but you, you respect your lunch break.
Grab a new toasted pizza sandwich from Jimmy John's.
Yeah, toast it.
Try the Sicilian salami, capicolo, ham, rich marinara, gooey mozzarella, and oregano basil, all on golden French bread.
Or go cheese mode with the three cheese, parmesan, provolo, and mozzarella, dripping with marinara and herbs.
Hot, melty, seriously satisfying.
Order one, Fronto, Jimmy John's new toasted pizza sandwiches.
Oh, that's good.

Lowe's, official partner of the NFL.
I think that's going to conclude our spotlight.
It's up to you all.
Oh, does it conclude your spotlight, Matt?
Actually, we're all having fun.
Oh, yes.
Do we want me to try to unlock Fern?
She's already
been unlocked for a while.
Yeah, she got herself unlocked.
Do you want me to get rid of the big fucker?
Yes.
So,
how far away is he from me, would you say?
Would you say it's like
close range from you?
He's close range?
Yeah.
He's not beyond close range.
No.
Damn it.
Okay.
Rolling like ass.
Well, either way, I'm going to drop gravity.
I'm going to pull a stress and we're going to flip to to probability.
So that'll be fun.
Place a D4 on this card.
There we go.
Nothing has changed.
I don't know what's going on.
Nope, never.
Oh, D6.
I'm so sorry, wrong die.
You better hit him with your biggest fucking spell.
Oh, this can be
what's a spell?
Whatever.
This is guardian shit.
Okay, so.
I am going to take a run at this fuck.
And
this d8, by the way, I assume I can roll it afterwards if I'm yeah, if I don't like.
So I also
automatically, this attack I automatically have advantage on.
So here we go for that.
That is,
yeah, I'm gonna roll.
Jesus Christ, hold on.
A six.
That's better.
Seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen.
Eighteen with hope?
You hit.
Yes.
That was using the rally die?
That was using the rally die.
Thank God for bars.
Yeah, I rolled a seven on that rally die.
Let's see, whenever you roll Our Nelly, roll it very close range, make an action roll.
Okay, that's cool.
Anyway, now I'm going to do some bloody damage.
Let's see.
Let's see.
Let's see.
That is
5d12.
How much three?
I'll just do it twice.
There we go.
That's
12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20.
Roll that again because it was going off.
25, 26, 27, 28, 29,
29, 39,
44.
45 is what what that turns out to be.
What the hell?
I just go running and I'm just taking a swing at those fucking nuts between those two, goddamn it.
I will say,
really small.
That's why I get both of them.
A heavy strike to this beast as your hammer hits.
And it's a sturdy devil,
as its physical resistance reduces it by half.
You still take a hit point.
I know.
But this one seems to have
a hardened exterior for physical strikes.
Okay.
Hardened exterior, baby.
All right.
And I look at you and say, shame.
The countdown ticks down.
And we gain another debt token.
Let's go.
And we also gain a fear.
Yay!
All right.
Was that roll, by the way, was that with hope?
With fear?
Oh, that was with hope.
Great.
Take that hope.
And the spotlight is still on you.
Dorian, would you like to go?
It's been a minute, buddy.
Yeah, sure.
I will...
Oh, no.
I'm going to save my friend.
No, no.
Oh, it feels bad not to.
I mean,
let's go together.
You want me to do it?
No, no, I'll do it.
Let's do it.
No, I'm going to use my wing boots, and I'm going to fly over to Imogen.
And
I've lost all my healing.
I'm going to pop the top on, you put this in my binder on a major health potion.
Let's go.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So you get to roll a D4 or should I roll it?
I'd roll it.
I should not roll it.
Would you like Imogen to roll it?
No, I believe in myself.
You got this.
You got this, baby.
You got this.
Okay, fine.
It's fine.
It's fine.
It's four hit points back.
Right.
So you heal four hit points, Imogen, and you
come to consciousness on the ground.
You could see a bit of slow-moving molten lava was getting close to your face as you
pull away for a minute.
Dorian's right there beside you.
Literally pouring juice down your mouth.
How you doing?
I'm not good.
I know.
You can still take an action roll if you want, or do something else.
Yeah, sure.
Let me let me.
Can I make some more movement?
Can I fly?
Yeah, of course.
I'm gonna fly over to Fern, who's just thrown off her manacles.
Now, Fern is a good distance from you.
I'd say she is.
I mean, you're flying, which gives you a decent fly speed.
I will say, if you want to make an agility roll to make that distance,
oh, yeah, I'm so good at rolling right now.
Let's go.
Let's go!
Let's go!
Come on, come on.
Agility!
Let's go, blue boy.
Great.
Almost a print.
So close.
24.
With hope or fear?
With hope.
Yeah.
Take that hope.
You are zipping around with the wind literally at your feet.
And then the last thing I would do on this spotlight is I would just like, hi, Fernie, and I'm just going to scoop up the manacles that she's cast off in my hand, spin them around, and I'm going to use my ancestry ability, ability, which doesn't require Walt to use Gust Leap, which lets me instantly transport to any point I can see within very far range.
So I'm just gonna
wind under my feet,
right to the top in front of our boy Tevin up there.
And I'm just spinning a set of manacles and being like, hope this plan works out.
And that'll end my turn.
I love it.
All right, finishing Dorian's rapid knife.
EMT darting around the chamber and then rushing up with a unique idea.
Spotlight's still on you guys.
I'll follow.
It'll say, Chedney hasn't gone in a minute.
Anybody?
Yeah, you want to go, Ched?
No, no, no.
Okay.
I'm going to use a paradise to give myself four hope.
And I'm going to cast stunning sunlight
against the two big devils.
All right.
Do you want to move closer to them before you do that?
I mean,
what's the range on it?
I don't know.
Are you within very close range of them?
It says within far range.
It's super far.
Sure, well, but are you in?
So yeah, with this, you could get how many can you hit within far very far or within far range?
As many as I want.
You can get all of these.
Are you within very close range of me?
Right now?
Maybe.
Not quite.
I can move up.
If you do, you get advantage.
Yeah, I'll move up to Ashton.
Yeah, you'll get advantage right there.
Yeah, you have five more feats.
You can get...
That would put you in very close.
But that's the end of your close-range movement.
Great.
I will also use one of my personal values, which is
the baby lord of hells must be defeated before he defeats me.
I'm the only one who can see this.
That exact phrase is written on this page.
Word for word.
Oh my god, Sam.
So I will roll with a D20 as my hope dialogue.
Yes, you do.
As your order-borne feature.
Alright, this is a spellcast roll, so it's plus five.
Dog shit.
With advantage.
With advantage.
Okay, so that's
your spellcast roll.
Come on.
22.
22 will hit everything,
including these devils here
But now they must make a a reaction roll 14 to see if it does all the damage or or some of the damage
That is a failure on those devils
It is a failure for me the failure on those devils
Failure Wow
Wow, it's like five five six five that was awful So they all take four D20 plus five.
Also,
any of those D20s you want to re-roll, you're close enough to me that you can re-roll it.
Just let me know how many you want to re-roll.
If you don't like it, that's right,
because I've got my probability field up.
Oh, boy.
That's a tricker.
About time.
This is the tide pendulum swinging.
Awful.
Reroll it.
Reroll it.
Reroll as many of those as you like.
Just let them know.
Wait.
Yeah, you can re-roll up to four, up to four, one, all of them, all four of them once.
Okay, great.
Then I'll do two more again.
Shit, that one moved.
That's worse.
Can I roll it again again?
I don't.
That's only once per die.
Once per die.
Okay, it was 18, 28,
32 plus 5, 37 points.
Points of magic damage.
And they're stunned.
This cluster of devils are wiped out.
Breyas.
Breyus, can you describe to me how this blast of sunlight operates from you here in the pits of hell?
Oh boy.
I
clutch my heart, which has for years burned with the symbol of Asmodeus, but now
it somehow morphs and changes into a new symbol that sears with radiant green light across my chest.
It is a captain tusk tooth.
And it blasts forth in a beam that skewers everybody in front of me and I sort of aim it across all my adversaries in a line.
Breyus kame ameaz.
Wow.
The breadth of this hellscape just tearing you watch as all these devil enforcers like
just scatter into ash and dust around you blasting up and down through both of you
all my fleas just
So you go ahead Mark hit point hit point on there and you
well you see that some of that gets brushed away by the hellfire that is around me because I am resistant to magic damage
Resistant to physical Resistant to magic.
Might want to take note.
I should have.
Lawyers!
However.
Is he still stunned?
Yeah, they're both stunned because they failed, so we have to spend activations to get rid of it.
And this ticks down one.
And I also say, shit.
As I get a debt token and we gain a fear.
Alrighty.
And I'm now stunned.
No, no.
So, both of them are stunned in space.
That was with hope, right?
Or was it with fear?
Fear.
Was with fear.
Well,
one of you will spend an activation to get you unstunned.
Me!
And we'll spend a fear to get you unstunned.
That means you can't do anything on our turn at all.
However, I can spend a fear to activate activate you with Relentless, which I will do.
What would you like to do?
Oh man.
Do we have another tasty snuff?
No.
I, seeing that
my paralegals were all just destroyed,
I page through my ledger, tear out a page, hurl it to the ground, and it sprouts into another group of devil enforcers.
Go ahead and roll that D4, baby.
But this does cost us a fear, if I may spend it, Fear Daddy.
Of course you may.
That is six more of them.
Oh, Mike.
Where would you like them to be placed?
All around this Minotaur that just dared defy the law and the power of the court
You've got it as they all swarm around you Braus
returned with an angry fervor after you incinerated many of their allies They immediately activate.
I will spend a fear to have them do a group attack against you
That's better.
That's gonna be a 16 to hit you
That is 12 physical damage for each of them attacking you
Does that mean three separate attacks 72 points of physical damage against you.
Jesus gross.
Damn!
Welcome to level 8 dagger, baby.
So that's above my severe, so that's three hit points.
Yes.
Do you have any armor?
I do.
I'll use an armor to knock it down to two.
So that's two hit points on you.
Yep.
That's going to end their activation.
Back to you all.
Chetney, it's been a minute.
What do you want to do?
When I got hit about 45 minutes ago,
when I mark one or more hit points, you start to see the fur growing out of his shoulders.
His neck pops, his back cracks.
It's time to a full moon.
Fucking wolf call.
I'll mark a stress to go into my wolf form
and I will use my grizzly harpoon where I'll make a spellcast roll and mark a stress to slice into my hands with my claws and you see the blood that comes out goes shh in my hands and I fucking throw it at the litigator with his flame whip within far range and running forward if I need to as I do so.
Yeah, you can definitely give it a far range.
And because he's so much larger than me, instead of pulling him down to me, I'm going to be pulled straight up onto him.
Hell yes.
Oh, bitch.
Good, dude.
That's a 23 plus 4.
Or 27 with hope.
Yes.
I think that's going to hit.
And that is going to be
8, 3, 16, 19.
20, 21, 22 points of magic damage on the litigator.
Magic damage or regular damage?
Magic effect.
I know, it's just magic.
I don't make the rules.
Yeah.
The hellfire bats away some of your blow, but I still take a hit point of damage.
And while I'm there, the turmoil
is going to come out, and I'm going to take a swing down onto your neck with turmoil as it
comes down in one massive hit.
As you've like leaped up with this blood tether and pulled yourself to to it, you're like holding on and clambering on.
You're both kind of battling in the air as turmoil goes into strike.
Rolls.
And I'm gonna roll that.
I'm gonna roll that kick-ass bar died, baby.
And I'm gonna look at that shitty flame whip and I'm gonna use my experience and I'm gonna burn a hope.
I'm gonna spend a hope saying, that's poorly made.
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
17, 18, 19, 20, 21 to hit.
That hits.
Nice.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
That's 6d 10 plus 12.
Yeah, you went all in on that proficiency, baby.
I've been sitting on it.
Okay, that's 10, 12, 15,
20, 29, 20.
Oh, that's 34 plus 10.
44 physical damage.
That's going to be two hit points there, baby.
You got something on your face
with this one.
This one was a one, so I'm gonna re-roll that using not good enough.
That's a six, so add six points to that for the one.
That still puts it between the two thresholds.
So
pretty slick.
A heavy hit on you.
Shame on you.
And this ticks down to one.
we gain another debt token and we gain a fear.
Yes,
okay.
All right, that was with hope, so it's still your go.
Ferns, got the shackles off.
There's a few things I would like to do.
Yes, all right.
For one, I would like to activate the spark of Raoshan.
You got it.
Okay, flames spill and burn out.
I gotta take these off.
Okay, so now, may I also
Okay, can I mark a stress
to
channel my elemental incarnation
to use water, which when I deal damage to any enemy within melee range, all other enemies within very close range will mark a stress.
Sure.
Okay.
You're now bending as the flames aberrate around you.
You harness the steam that begins to swirl.
As you conjure water, it burns into a mist and fog that you can manipulate at your whim.
Okay, great.
So,
may I take a
Capreen leap so I can sort of get in the fray with all of the paralegals?
Over here yes.
How far can you move on a Caprine leap?
I can leap anywhere within close range as though you were using normal movement.
So how close can I can I can I get within very close range of them?
If you want to roll an agility roll to see if you can make that distance to far, we can see
And you can get, you can't quite get very close with him because he's still up in the air.
But you can get within very close of Malfazu if you'd like.
I'll do that.
But you have to make an agility roll to do so.
Better do it with hope, bitch.
Do it.
I'm not going to do it.
I'm not going to do it.
I'm not going to do it.
I'm just going to get down and try to get close, and then I can do that next turn.
Okay, and then what I'm going to do is
I'm going to unleash chaos.
I am going to
use all five tokens that I have,
which will be five d10, but I can also use an extra d10 because of the spark.
That's true.
First, roll the tag.
This is it against Malfazu.
Oh, yeah, that's right.
I have to roll to see if it is.
Do you want to make it a tag team?
Yeah, no, I want.
Are you going to do it?
Well, it needs hope.
Who's providing the hope?
I've got three.
Okay, then you can do the tag team.
Okay, okay, okay.
Which one do you want to do?
Okay, we'll do this one.
Yeah,
I'll hit them with you if you want.
Yes, let's do it.
it.
Okay.
All right, so spin that three hopes.
It's attack, team, attack.
So just
describe how both of you are combining your assault.
What are you doing, Braus?
She said, let chaos reign?
Or no, she said something about chaos.
Yes, I said unleash chaos.
Yes, that is one of the values.
I mean, obviously, we gotta let chaos reign.
That is one of my three personal values now.
So
I can't
not be chaotic.
So
I will hoist her up.
She was trying to get close, so I'm going to try to push her even closer and I will swing with my foul verdict along with her.
And you'll get advantage if you're still that close to me.
Which you will be.
Yay.
So as she stands, as she says, she's not quite close to get advantage, but he is.
As you unleash chaos, as you kind of hoist behind her and then leap with your poison pen in the air to strike downward, both of you roll for your attack.
Come on, come on, come on, come on.
Okay.
Okay.
That's not terrible.
It's not terrible.
Okay.
17 plus 5.
It's a 23.
Yeah.
22.
And
with fear.
With fear.
Mine was a 24 with hope.
So
you both gain a hope, and that is a success for both of you, and you add your damage together for this assault.
And again, Brace, you can re-roll two dice at damage dice if you like.
Okay.
Oh, God, where is it?
Oh, and I'm using my thing so I can do the things with the other things.
Where is it?
I'm going to add Toxic Splash into this as well to give another 3d8 damage.
Let's go.
7d8 damage.
This is what it's about.
That's five or six rolls.
I think that was five rolls.
And I have a six from the spark.
Okay, it's just one.
So that's 32 points of damage.
Okay, so that's
32 to you.
You want to re-roll anything?
Oh,
shoot, I forgot.
I'll re-roll two of them.
All right.
And that's half for you.
Those are way better.
So
magical or physical?
Magical from her.
So 16.
That's 42 damage for me.
Alright, which means that's 42 on top of that to you, which does break your major threshold, so that's three hit points on you.
And that's half for you.
That's right.
That was 37.
So that would be 16 on top of the 32, which would be 48, which is still under your major.
That's two hit points.
That's right.
And I can spend a hope to target one additional enemy.
Well, I'm saying,
this is all on you.
I got confused.
I thought this was on both of you.
So you get to keep those hit points.
Sorry.
That was just on one target.
I got confused.
I'm going to spend a hope to target one additional enemy.
Great.
Oh, within close range?
Yes.
Is he close?
He's.
Come on, come on.
Come on.
I mean.
It's right there, all of it.
Okay.
No, no, no.
That's 37 physical damage against you.
So you do still march
two of those.
See if you have that many lost.
All over again.
And
when I make a successful attack, I can clear three hit points
from me.
And on a success with hope, I can also heal a nearby ally.
What?
Are you near me?
I feel like I am, but I'm not sure.
You are within very close of Braiths.
Okay, so we both healed three hit points.
Second win.
How did you do that?
You are so puny.
That's second win.
That is the power of chaos, friend.
Renounce your demons, renounce your devils, and come to the chaos side.
Tempting.
I like it.
That was with hope, right?
Yeah, it was.
I'm afraid of the best.
I'm gonna embrace that.
I'm gonna spend a fear.
Damn it.
Well, and.
Oh, all right.
Wait, before this happens.
You see that up in the air as all of this damage has been dished out, I am quivering, and you can see the fire coursing over my scaly flesh.
He's going nuclear!
This kicks down to zero,
and I say,
Feel the prosecution!
And I explode with hellfire, and all of the debt tokens that we have been gathering.
how many are there, Fear Daddy?
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 debt tokens.
That means every one of you within far range takes 90 10 magic damage.
Wow.
That's 40, that's going to be around 45.
Do you want to roll this?
Oh, no.
Please.
That's all of us.
It'll be really bad.
Half a magic 45.
It'll be five below or five above.
Is this going to be our first to be continued live show?
48.
No!
51 points of magic damage
to
everyone except for Oral.
Damn.
Oh, my God.
Oh, and Dorian.
And Dorian.
Dorian, you're free of it as well.
Nice.
Me too, right?
And
this is from the lawyer.
Just those.
This is from the lawyer, not from the withered boy?
Correct.
All right.
Thanks Thanks for those hit points, Brace.
I'll mark two hits.
You did a hit point to me.
I am angry.
I don't know.
I'm going to spend a fear to interrupt you.
Even though it's with hope, I'm going to spend a fear to interrupt.
I'm going to activate this devil that you have engaged with.
Some bitch.
Who's going to go ahead and take the scroll and throw it up to Tevin?
Tevin catches it.
I'm going to go ahead and spend another fear to activate Tevin, who pulls the scroll out and goes,
And with only this day, Fern Calloway will be bound to the hills of which she has promised to be guardian under the Lord of the Hills in my fiery pride.
This counts down two more to a four.
That's our activation.
Spotlights back to you.
I'm not even gonna use an action.
I'm going to hold Seedling to the sky and Spider-Man flip up to the top.
As soon as I get there, I'm going to use deadly focus.
Deadly stress?
Yep, it has a stress, that's right.
As soon as I get there, I'm going to use deadly focus.
Once per rest, you can apply all your focus towards a target of your choice.
So I gain a plus-one bonus to my proficiency, and I stare at Dorian across the platform.
Let's go, babe.
Is that all you want to do?
I didn't use an action.
Nope.
Do you have the hope?
I do, if you don't.
I do not have the hope.
We'll switch it up.
I'll spend three hope.
Oh, God.
And we will tango around this motherfucker.
Tag T-bon?
Yes.
Let's go.
All right.
What action are you both taking against Tevin?
Say again.
What action are you both taking against Tevin?
We're going to do a thousand slashes across this devil's body.
You got it.
Go ahead and roll your two attacks.
I'm going to use one of my strategic approach tokens to give my attack advantage.
And plus five.
Oh, oh, crit.
Yeah.
Well, that solves that problem.
I was like, oh no, two, two.
Oh.
That's kind of stressful.
Well, that means both of you are critting on this.
So both of you gain a hope and lose the stress.
Both of you do maximum weapon damage and then roll your weapon damage on top of that.
Maximum.
And then combine it.
This is going to be crazy.
So I did, I did
focus.
So my proficiency is at five for this.
So max.
Okay, so the
32 plus, plus the modifier stuff too?
Correct.
Well, put the modifier at the end.
So it's your dice max.
32.
Notice it's the modifier.
And then you roll dice.
Okay, so it's 50 plus for me.
Yeah, so I...
I dumped all my levels up into proficiency two, so mine's 5d8.
Good boy.
And then the roll?
Oh, that's good.
Lucky number sevens, baby.
So it's 40 plus whatever you rolled there.
408 40.
What is it?
Oh, seven water?
That was a seven.
Oh, my God.
Not important right now.
So 40 plus that is 66 plus 84.
It doesn't matter when they're manipulative.
74?
74.
74 damage?
Yeah.
How much did you do?
50 plus 47.
Oh, please
double severe.
So that's...
15?
That's 163.
153.
153.
Let's go.
So that...
That's...
153!
That more than double
more than doubles doubles Tevin's severe threshold.
He marks four hit points on that.
Yeah.
And one
spiraling,
unstoppable
assault of blade and dance and eye contact and grins.
Two majestic boyfriends shred.
I think it's power.
I think it's powerful and passionate.
I think it looks like a pasadoble.
Oh, yeah.
It's gripping hands, using some trifle force to move around this guy, and they were roommates.
Is that one of your experiences?
Yeah, it should be.
That should have been ours!
Now,
Tevin's fiery armor does strike you both for 12 points of magic damage.
because of the melee attacks against him.
And because whoever these up marked as the arbitrator on this has a chastise reaction reaction when it marks one or more hit points by piece between close range, both of you have to make an instinct roll for me.
Reaction roll.
Reaction, okay.
Uh-oh, hey, five and five's a crit, baby.
Yeah, it's a success.
17 with fear.
Oh, well, it's reaction.
It's reaction.
Thank goodness.
The reaction difficulty was an 18.
So you unfortunately fail.
We gain a fear.
And you are pushed far range away.
As suddenly, the tower billows off.
You, Dorian, like, crouch down and hold onto the stone.
Let me ask, since we rolled together on that attack and you hit a crit, does that mean that that attack was a critical success?
It was.
Okay, while I'm holding down and grabbing you, I'm also going to give you a hope because with inspiring flourish on Gembo of Clef the Vortex Blade, when you roll a critical success, you can choose two hours with close range to gain a hope.
So you get a hope back.
And as I'm holding you, caressing your hand for the first time
since we rolled a successful attack it awakens something inside me and i feel an ancient power stirring within my loins
and gambo clef the vortex blade engages since we had a successful attack once per long range i can do another attack and repeats so i can hold on to you and still take swipes at our boy up top all right so as we'll say as this castigation that this chastising ability is taking off, like at the same time, you can go and keep making attacks.
When you're finished with your flurry, he'll be knocked away.
So continue.
Roll Betsy.
Come on, come on.
Hold on.
I'm going to add the D8.
I'm going to add the D8 on this one.
Yeah.
Oh.
It is.
Gross.
Icky.
Wait, wait, hold on a sec, though.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, no, wait, wait.
Wait, wait, wait.
If I make a finesse reaction, it's a 14, which I rolled the 14.
Does that mean beats it beats it?
Meets it beats it?
Yeah, meets beats.
Hey, come on, take it out.
That means it hit.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So rolling it 666.
Dang, you just barely got that.
I'm learning how to play Dagger Heart live.
You're doing great, baby.
So it'll be another round of attacks.
Yeah, another attack for you.
Woo!
Fantastic.
Oh, you still have to roll the hit.
You still have to roll the hit.
What?
You still have to roll the hit.
Oh.
Oh.
But I thought that was the.
Oh, I have to roll the hits.
Okay.
It gives you the chance to hit again.
Okay.
Do this.
Come on.
Oh, no.
I'm
Dagger heart, you cruel mistress, I missed.
What'd you roll?
13.
Yeah, that's a failure.
With hope or fear?
I know.
It was with...
I can't remember.
It was with fear.
A good try as you unleash another series of strikes, but Tevin's a little too wise at this moment.
It blasts Auram off and down this way.
And you catch yourself on the edge of that as the other devil kind of spins around to look towards you.
That brings the spotlight back to us.
Wait, where did I land on the map?
You are on this platform here.
Okay, that's a pretty safe spot.
Either you want to go?
Yes, please.
Let's go for it.
Lafazu.
Just wait me into that big mass of enemies there.
You tell the other devils, excuse me.
Excuse me.
Pardon me.
Stand aside.
They back up and out of your way as you kind of.
Hi, guys.
Crawl into here.
All right.
I'm going to use Executioner Sweep.
Can I spend a few daddy?
Yes, you may.
Thank you.
To make a standard attack against all targets within very close range.
Yeah.
So that's going to be an attack against Fern, Ashton, and Breyus.
All right.
Bring it.
Burn.
That'll be a 19 hits.
I think that hits all of them.
Let's go ahead and roll damage.
damage.
You all lose a hope within far range, which is
all of you except for
Dorian and Aurum.
And we gain a fear.
49!
Jeez Louise.
Okay.
49?
49 points physical damage.
Minus one, he's still withered.
He's still with them.
That's true.
Yeah, so whatever damage you take, you reduce it by one severity.
Zero.
Did I hit them all?
Does that count as three successful attacks?
That would, yeah.
Okay, you all lose three feet.
Technically, it's still one attack against all of them.
Okay, so yeah, you're good.
Okay.
You all lose my hope.
Do I lose hope if I didn't take any damage?
Not that it matters, but because I have no hope.
Oh, it's just when he has a successful attack, it has to be.
Okay.
So you reduce that to nothing?
Yeah, I didn't take it.
I didn't take it.
That's great.
And we get a fear.
Yes, I added that.
And remember, if you mark an armor, you actually lose an extra one.
Yep.
I did.
None of us have any armor left, so.
Except for Ashton after.
Man, I can take a beating in this build.
It's amazing.
Is that what you'd like to do?
Um,
yeah.
All right, great.
Uh, would you like to do anything?
Let's see.
Where do we have a line?
You have a werewolf on your face.
Oh, that's right!
How did I miss this bundle of fur right in my face?
bastard.
Now you can fly and try and line up another
lash if you'd like to, or whatever else on this page you've got.
No, we are...
We,
inspired by those, the beautiful pair on top of the tower, we are going to have a dance of our own in the air as I whip my lash of fire around you, wrapping it around both of us as I use my judgment lash.
May I spend a fear, please?
Yes, you may.
Thank you, Daddy.
This is great for my self-esteem.
This is going to inspire some weird rumors.
All right.
Your evasion is halved against this attack, which is a 17.
Ah, yeah, that hits.
All right, my friend.
You are now going to take.
27 magic damage.
Not a problem.
How are you doing over there?
I'm fine.
And you are now vulnerable as the hellfire of my whip rages across you, and you are vulnerable until you clear a stress.
That sucks a little more.
Would you like to move with your payload?
Yes.
This dance, we are going to pirouette in the sky over toward the tower because I see that our arbitrator is in dire peril.
There we are.
Yep, perfect.
That concludes our spotlight.
We have one fear on deck.
We've spent a lot of fear.
It's back to you all.
Can I get up?
Oh,
I will also note, because you damaged Tevin, who is now the arbitrator, it does tick up to a five.
I'm just going to spend the stress.
I'm not going to do anything, but I'm just going to reset my health.
Okay, I'm going to take a health potion.
Go for it.
So that clears all my hit points again.
Nice.
Okay.
Goodbye.
Okay.
I'm going to.
Do I have a line of sight on
how?
No, Mao?
Are you Mao?
Malfafu?
Yeah, you do.
He's quite large.
Yes, okay.
I'm so mad.
I'm gonna unleash chaos
as well.
So,
let's go.
Yeah,
I'm just so mad.
Lightning is flying everywhere.
Okay.
I've got all my stress still, so I get to roll with advantage.
Right.
Okay, and I get to add a six to this because
of all the damn.
Okay, okay, wait.
Wait, 14, 15, 16.
Oh, wait, I still have
the bardic inspiration.
16.
Boom's 8.
That takes me to 24.
24?
Oh, my, yes.
Okay, great.
I am going to also use all of my tokens to deal full damage on this.
So that is 5d10 damage.
Magic damage.
All right, let's go.
This is gonna hurt.
Oh, I didn't even add my pre- never mind.
11.
So
that's good.
Plus 7 is 18.
Plus 7 is 25.
And then one more.
25 plus 10.
25 plus 8.
33 plus another 6.
6!
9.
39.
Is there anything else I can add?
I think that's it.
Oh!
Oh, I didn't say it.
Forget it.
So, yeah, 39.
39 points of magic damage.
It's going to exceed my major threshold.
That does exceed your major threshold.
That's two hit points on Mafazu.
Oh!
I am still standing.
A heavy strike of chaotic power from your mind as you feel the inside of your devilish brain racked with psychic terror.
My brain!
My greatest asset!
That was with hope or fear.
Oh, that was with hope.
Yeah, so take that hope.
Spotlight is still on you all.
Mind if I roll it or someone else got something?
So I give myself a little bit of a pep talk.
Let's try something else.
And I look at that flying fuck over there.
Yeah.
And I activate.
my
space havoc and I'm just gonna take a swing that somehow he's within far range, right?
Yeah,
yeah, I'm gonna smack him around the back of his fucking head.
You watch as
Ashton takes a massive swing with a hammer, and the hammer vanishes into a portal for a split second.
A portal opens next to your head in the sky as the hammer swings from it.
Oh, shit.
That's uh,
that's that's not bad.
This is uh
25, uh, it's uh 25, 26, 26, 27, 28, 29 with hope.
You hit.
Take that hope, buddy.
Now let's do some damage.
That's my standard, which is 5D12.
Enjoy.
1, 2, 3.
That's not bad.
It's 12.
13, 14, 12, 13, 14, 18, 16, 17, 18, 19.
Haha.
1928.
thirty-eight
through nine forty
fifty fifty-five fifty-six fifty seven
points of damage
Ashton, how do you want to do this?
So, since I'm gonna double this because I do, since I kill him, I do get a teleport too.
You do?
So, I'm gonna make it a two-parter.
I'm that swing, actually, I'm going to myself teleport right behind you before I bring it down on your head and in your ear.
You're just gonna hear,
we were here first.
Squatter's right, motherfucker.
And knock your goddamn head off
and teleport right to the top of that fucking tower.
Far range?
Actually, if it's still in.
You can teleport to the edge of this.
That'll do.
So you now kind of.
This massive earth-swollen ashen is now like king-konging up the side of this infernal tower as this devil plummets and crashes to the ground.
Oh, sorry, Chet.
Sorry.
Chetney right to the ground.
Ah, thank you very much.
The prosecution rests.
You may have a seat.
I'm going to spend a fear to activate Tevin, who's going to tick this down to three as he reads from the scroll once more.
We will bind her here eternally.
She will be my right hand in the infernal war to recover our lords wherever he will be reborn.
And he says that he looks towards you
and get vengeance on those that have crossed him.
Objection?
It's still your spotlight.
Lodna, you haven't gone in a minute.
Okay.
Tevin.
Tevin.
Um, but what you wanted to do you had a thing you got a thing go for it.
Do you have do you have enough hope for tag team me?
I do should we tag team me
always
okay
Now do know you know that he is resistant to physical damage.
Yes,
I feel like we should go after Tevin.
I do too.
Let's do that
Here's what I'm gonna start with.
I'm gonna pull out um Pate.
Yes, he's here
He's been here the whole time.
He's just been asleep.
I'm going to reach in my backpack.
What's going on?
I was taking a nail.
Shut up.
And I'm going to take him.
And I'm going to kind of spin him around.
Almost like he's like nun-chucks.
Like, like he's pouring.
And I'm going to, like, wind him up.
And, like, I'm going to shot put throw him towards Tebbit.
Alright.
And as I release him, I'm going to summon a horror.
Alright, what's the range on this?
Um...
Far.
Far.
Alright, far range is this for you right now.
So
you'd have to try and move.
I will move.
And make an agility roll to make that distance to get him within range.
You can do this.
You can do this.
Can I spend a hope and use my experience, hear the call of the wild, and you'll hear in the distance
If you'd like to.
Actually, this is a good point.
Can I, how, because we're tag teaming.
Well, did you have enough hope to do that?
I had four.
Okay, great.
Can I, like, so you can add a D6 to this, if you like.
Okay.
Okay, but I, but narratively,
I wanted to basically like
Hail Mary pass pate
to check me to get it the rest of the way.
I love it.
I love it.
See if this works.
Just like.
So go ahead and make that agility roll for me, Ladna.
With a with a D6.
With a D6, yep.
Oh my god.
I hate this so much.
All right, all right, all right.
Hang on, wait.
That wasn't a real roll.
Um, it's not great.
Eight,
eleven.
Third.
Uh, no, fourteen.
That's enough.
It's just
fourteen with what, Lauden?
Shut up!
Shut up!
He didn't have to say it out loud!
With fear.
Okay, it's still part of the same tag team.
But it's still part of the same tag team, right?
Indeed.
Oh, that's true.
We're still going.
So I pass him, and then I want to summon.
So as I like pass him,
if you want to
catch Pate,
and then as you catch him,
my hellhound explodes from Pate.
So, So,
as part of the scenario, the spotlight will come back to us after this and I did gain a fear.
But you are ending this movement.
What do you have to roll to cast your spell?
I will catch Pate where I am, but I'm going to switch out my vault and I'm going to burn a stress to bring in Rage Up, which lets me double my damage.
And I'm going to use my Crimson Right at level 8 to do 3d6 to any attacks, and I'm going to burn the last charge, second to last charge on the staff of Dark Odyssey to blink within far range to
straight to Tevin.
Amazing.
And as I'm holding Pate, turmoil comes down.
I'm like, bitch, I was there first!
So,
for the...
Your Crimson Rite is currently doing physical?
It's going to do magical damage.
Alrighty.
So,
go ahead and both roll attacks, yes.
I want to spend my last favor to add shadow to this.
Let's do it.
Yeah, alright.
That's what it's for.
That's what it's for.
That's 28 to hit with hope.
Nice.
So you both, as a part of the tag team, get to take 28 with hope.
Get his ass.
Hang on.
So you both take a hope.
Okay, wait, but I also rolled.
I think his is better, though.
Okay.
Oh, yeah, or what did you roll?
You look sad.
Hang on.
Don't distract me right now.
But it's 123 with fear.
So let's take his.
Yeah, good call.
Both of you gain a hope.
That is success.
Both of you roll your damage and combine it.
Okay.
That's 5d10 for me.
That's 66, 7, 8, 68 points of damage.
Because I, because I,
in my order of the lichen, I get to
crank up the stress plus rage up plus crimson right.
Yeah, that's nasty.
Shit.
Six.
That's hey, you've been subpoenaed.
It's not great.
16.
Okay,
that's going to be
20.
And
they have to mark 1d4 stress.
Ooh.
All right, so that's 20 with 68, you said?
That's 88 points of magical damage.
They also have to mark an additional stress, so two stress on a successful stress.
Alright,
that is past the severe threshold.
That's three hit points.
He has to make a reaction roll.
And if he fails the reaction roll, he has to mark a d4 stress from me.
Okay, so mark those three hit points.
Alfaza's looking rough.
Now hang on.
I want to do one more little thingy that I get to add on after a successful attack.
This is Tevin.
This is Tevin.
We're going to
go to the next one.
Yeah.
Oh, this is Tevin.
That's right.
Okay.
Sorry.
It was the spiked pate football.
My brain is going weird on that.
There's a lot in there right now.
Uh-oh.
Yeah.
Oh.
How do you want to do this?
I'll say with turmoil as the as the scythe sinks down into the back of his neck I'm like
I don't think you should fly and I'll carve the wings off the back of Tevin
and I'll turn him forward towards Ladna
well I tossed Pat I lost my monitor I can't hear shit I toss my um
pate to you so as you carve down and you cut into his body
Pate basically like a little weasel goes in,
into my wolf.
And bisects him the rest of the way.
Tevin splits in half, the wings shattered, the upper torso goes flying
down to the ground next to your feet fern.
And you see, as the body of Tevin begins to burn away into ash, slain within his own realm.
A true death for a devil.
As his arms and torso swim away, he reaches towards you and goes,
We could have been so beautiful.
Oh, I kind of hate it.
I love it at the same time.
He never steals you.
Is the kiss gone from my hand?
No, because your deal
was with the Lord of Hell.
Okay, I was just checking.
Are we up near Fern?
No, Fern's down there.
You're up with Dorian.
Got it.
So wait, do you say one more thing?
Yes.
I would like to burn the rest of my hope.
You still have fear.
Is this still going?
I mean, you guys still have the ability to go if you'd like.
I just want to tag on because after a successful attack with Dire Strike, I can spin hope to leech power from the target.
The GM must lose fear for each hit point dealt.
Oh!
That's right,
fear, Daddy!
I'm gonna remember that.
All right.
Who's up?
I have the super fast thing.
I will use seedling spend a stress to send a vine and pull the contract into my hand.
Nice.
Yes.
That's it.
The contract's in your hand.
That finishes your go.
Who's up next?
It's still us.
I'm going to eat some varrick leaves.
All right.
That gives me two extra hopes.
You get two extra hope on your go there.
Ern, you got anything?
I can touch you, Chetney, although you're very scary to me right now, but I'll still touch you with sparing touch and you'll clear to stress, so you're not vulnerable anymore.
Got it.
There you go.
But you're free and out.
Who are you next to, Fern?
You can tag team this.
Okay, let's tag team it.
But I don't have any hope.
I have three hope, okay?
I would, I would, I would like to turn into a dragon
we all want to do that but what I'm gonna turn into a dragon do you do magic damage when you're a dragon I do no do you need me to do magic damage magic damage is what damages him
so cool though I know it is
do what feels right yeah
yes sir
do it do it do it okay let's do it let's do it let's do it.
Okay, we're going to do it.
We're going to do it.
And to call it.
It's a fairy dragon?
Yes.
It is.
Yes.
It's a dragon.
It's like a teal, like, you know, the same color hair as fern with a little peach bow.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
It's real cute.
That's so pretty.
Does it have a marsupial pouch?
Of course it does.
And very, very, like, round around the tummy.
A little bit of a muffin top.
So you transform into this fiery
fey dragon with water mist swirling around you.
What are you doing, Imogen?
I'm going to cast telekinesis and try to lift up Al and just softball him up in the air so Fern can chomp him in the air.
Let's go.
So go ahead and wolf Telekinesis, you roll for your attack as a dragon fern.
Okay.
And I'm stressed, so I'm still at advantage.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
60.
Oh, that's so bad.
21.
That's okay.
I'm 26 with hope.
That's, you both get to take 26 with hope.
Let's see, Mimon!
Come on, esque!
We both get a hope.
We both get a hope.
We both get a hope.
Oh, okay.
Oh, my gosh.
Hope is so bad.
Relatable.
Very relatable.
Okay.
So that is
4d10, but because I have the spark of Roshan up, I get an extra d10.
Does that still count?
Yeah.
Great.
So 5d10.
Alright, and I'm gonna chuck him up in the air so he falls back down and
let's go.
Spark of Roshan is magic, too, right?
It's whatever damage you're dealing.
Oh, that's right.
Yeah, okay.
All right.
That's right.
New rules.
2d12 is all I'm gonna put.
That's okay.
Little, little, little.
Okay.
14.
And I'm gonna add the one extra point for my Ruidian damage right here.
Okay
Sorry the math is up there
Okay, wait
That's uh 41 points of damage
That's 11
and I
do
18 points of damage on the show
That's something listen
all right
is yours physical as well?
Um.
Protogenesis?
It technically is.
Alright, so that's going to be 50.
59.
59?
That's going to be two hit points marked on Malfazu as you get lobbed into the air and then down into the fiery jaws.
What is happening?
Okay.
Oh, you get shaken like a duck with a new toy.
I was going to do this, but I realized I didn't have any stress.
That's good.
It's still your spotlight.
We should just call Nana Hori, right?
We got to get out of here.
Oh, that's a good idea.
Fern?
Fern!
Yeah, make the call!
Nana!
Yes!
Wait, can we?
What?
Oh, no, that's how we got it.
Never mind.
Yeah, the staff is spent.
Yeah, it's a bad.
Nana, boy!
We need you!
Someone wants to smack this idiot while we're here?
Yeah, I'll run and leap off the tower.
Flea, jump, spend, distress, come down from the heavens.
You land down the heavens.
I'm out of my stress, so I can't do any powerful spells.
That's why.
It's pathetic.
I just go, give Imogen a little bit of a back rub.
It's my back, but thank you.
Another strategic approach to do it at advantage, a token.
What are you drawing here, Or?
I'm leaping off the tower.
I spent a stress to flea jump into the air and land on top of that.
Oh, that lands me there?
Yeah, where would you want to land?
Oh, I thought I was on the top of the tower, but I'm not.
No, we're over here.
I will leap of
that distance,
far distance, and then I will use my movement to close the distance and attack.
On him?
Yeah.
Okay, make an agility roll to make that distance.
Yep, I do that at advantage as well.
Yeah, Breya, yeah, you're in melee.
Are you sure you want to make an agility roll?
17 with fear.
Okay.
That does succeed, though, and that gets you there.
Okay, I still get a hope because I'm of my build.
Indeed.
I'm going to attack.
I'm going to take that.
With advantage.
On my turn.
Yep.
Spotlight's on you, buddy.
Thank you.
You got a few figures around you.
You got Lodna over there.
You got Imogen back there.
You got Braus, and you got now a tiny little halfling orb.
I will not swing my blade.
I will use hellfire.
Let's go.
Mark a stress.
Thank you.
Wait, I didn't hit with that attack?
That was your agility roll to get up to him.
Just to get to him.
Understood.
That's the challenge of going that extra mile with a fear roll.
Okay.
Everyone within close range has to make an agility reaction roll.
That's all of you except for Chetney and Dorian and
Ashton.
Yeah, still on that tower.
Agility roll.
Agility reaction roll.
Okay.
I can't.
I lost my dice.
Oh wait, here it is.
11.
How much damage is that?
That's 28 magical damage.
And you lose a hope.
You lose a hope.
Great.
Great.
Lodna?
17.
17 to success?
So you take half that damage.
Whatever half that is.
Yes?
14.
14.
Alright.
Alright.
I went through
14 magical damage.
Imogen?
I rolled in 11, so I also take 28 points.
28 points of magic damage, and you lose a hope?
Yes.
Burnt?
21.
You take 14 points of magic damage.
Okay.
Alright.
That'll conclude your activation.
When Malfazo deals damage to a PC, they must mark two armor slots instead of one.
That's right, so anyone to reduce that damage, you got to reduce two armor slots.
The rush is here.
As you're all starting to gather on that point, that's going to end Argo.
Spotlight's back to you.
We've got to hit this guy to death.
Yes, with magic.
With magic.
With magic.
That would be preferable.
My thing does magic does yours.
I have no
spells left because I'm all stressed out.
Liam, you're next to him too, right?
No, but I can attack pretty heavily.
Okay.
You have your weapon still.
You're standard.
Oh my god, my son sparking bolt.
Shit.
Your what?
Was that English?
What did you just say?
Oh, no.
I definitely should have done that instead of telekinesis.
That's all good.
That's how we learned.
It's fine.
Who's going?
I'm just going to hit him.
Let's go.
Are you attack teaming or are you just so- I don't have any hope.
There you go.
Do you have enough for attack team?
Let's do it.
This whole time, Seedling regenerates, and I keep regenerating and my build.
So, like, I'm just a hope machine.
I'm so hopeful.
You're such a hopeful guy.
Yeah, I'll spend the three hope.
Tag team.
Here we go.
Let's do it.
And I'll use my final strategic approach to add damage this time.
I'm gonna use my third personal value.
There is evil and good, and no in between.
And now, I have chosen good, and I will roll with a d20.
Let's go.
Okay,
that's 25 to hit.
27 to hit.
27 to hit with fear.
I'm swapping in tactician for one stress.
I can roll with the d20s.
My hope dies, so I'm at 28 with hope.
Let's go.
Roll damage, motherfuckers.
Take your hope.
Let's add this up.
Let's go.
This is the thing.
This is the one.
Come on.
Whoa, holy shit.
Yeah.
It's a
42 for me.
So 42
physical damage
becomes 21 damage against Steve.
21.
And what are you?
Are you doing magic damage?
No brain.
38 magic damage, but I'm going to use the other poison pen
acid splash to deal an additional 3d8.
So that's another,
so that's 45
magical damage.
Yeah.
So 21 plus 45.
That just crosses the severe threshold.
How do you want to do this?
Yeah,
I spin around twice with my flail and I'll go high, you go low?
Sure, yes.
Yes.
I will knock the head off this guy
at sort of at the crown of his head, so his horns are what go flying.
And Aurum streaks in down low towards Braus's cap and I grab it like a stripper pole, and I swing around and slash and slash and cut away the demon's tendon, the devil's tendon.
And I will, as I do this, I'll just say to him, there's a baby out there somewhere.
That baby is next.
That's right, I'm gonna go kill baby devil.
Auram comes to a halt and says,
Wait, what?
Yeah, I'm gonna kill a baby.
Or at least find it.
At least find it.
Maybe I won't kill it.
It's probably really cute.
With the contract acquired and the two last major devils here keeping guard, there's a moment in time where a number of devils begin to crawl out of the nearby hills to give chase.
You all gather together and shout out once more to Nanomori.
There you watch in the center of this.
A single flickering fiery portal opens.
And on the other side, you see a hand beckon.
Come on, girl.
Come on, quick.
One by one, you all charge through as it shuts behind you, and you find yourselves once more standing in the comfort of the Ligament Manor.
Tattered,
burned,
but alive.
The contract sits in your hands.
What do you do with it?
I'm gonna walk it up to the woman it belongs to and hand it up to Fern.
I'm going to eat it.
Like a goat on the farm.
Fern devours the contract, and as you do, the mark on your hand burns away.
Never again!
As it does, you feel a shift within.
And Nanamori pulls into a pouch and goes, well, let's see.
I'm curious myself.
And she tosses that same silver triangle of dust around you.
Your aura flares up.
And that one mass section that was...
since bound to the hells has since shifted to the dark green fae color giving majority stake in your spirit to your nanomori.
The delegate stands there
Well then I'll return with unhappy news to Seminar.
I'm sure the Ansili court will be happy to hear that such a
An agent has been lost.
This won't be the last time you hear from us and they turn and leave with their armed
cadre.
As soon as Lickament Manor is left open, Maury turns.
My sweet girl.
Thank you all so much for keeping my sweet granddaughter safe.
You get to stay.
I understand.
But I'll have more tasks for you.
But for now, now, let's throw a party.

Heart, why'd you pick this one?
Well, Jerry, for people who have had a heart attack, like us, diet and exercise might not be enough to lower the risk of another one.
Okay.
To help know if we're at risk, we should be getting our LDLC, our bad cholesterol, checked and talking to our doctor.
I'm listening.
And if it's still too high, Repatha can be added to a statin to lower our LDLC and our heart attack risk.
Hmm.
