Speaker 6 by good whistling day yeah the weather has been nice after the rain came in
Speaker 8 the ac's been fixed you're cooking right now i'm gonna lay out i was thinking of doing a shadow show where i would just whistle for you and then you'd be like oh, good whistling day.
Speaker 5 You taught me how to whistle. I did.
Speaker 8
What if you did? Hey, try doing, okay, this is something else I learned online. So put your mouth in a whistling thing and then whisper the letter Q, but change sort of the pressures on your lips.
Q.
Speaker 2 I did it.
Speaker 6 No.
Speaker 7 Q. That was me.
Speaker 7 No.
Speaker 5 Everybody else, lay out.
Speaker 8 You're saying
Speaker 7 not a good one for you. Yeah.
Speaker 5 Well, it's a tricky way to do it. I mean,
Speaker 7 that one's tougher than a normal one. But you just whistle.
Speaker 8 I think it only works for people who know how to whistle. So when you do it, you're just like, oh, well.
Speaker 7 I was forcing the whistle too. The Q thing didn't really work.
Speaker 3 Yeah, okay.
Speaker 7 That wasn't terrible.
Speaker 6 That's about as good as you can get from Sue.
Speaker 7 Thank you.
Speaker 5 Yep. I am told Jeremy has a top five list of topics he'd like to bring up on this show, but no one would buy it.
Speaker 7 Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 1 Just things I saw over the weekend where I was like, oh, that's interesting. And then I realized immediately that I shouldn't put it down as a topic because none of you would talk about it with me.
Speaker 5
This show will do that to you. No doubt about it.
So go ahead. Let's hear.
Well, is he have something?
Speaker 8 No, I don't. I was just counting.
Speaker 2 Does this exclude topics you've already brought up or no?
Speaker 1 Yeah, a little.
Speaker 2 So you cross those off and then you replace them with like OLIs or whatever.
Speaker 7 Right.
Speaker 9 Well, the other things I...
Speaker 5 It's a fresh five is what Billy is saying.
Speaker 1
That That was my best. Yeah, it is a fresh five.
That was my best discretion on stuff I thought you might like. So you can only imagine how much you're not going to like any of this.
Speaker 7 I'm curious to see if you've learned.
Speaker 9 OLI.
Speaker 7 Right.
Speaker 1 Per Monitoring the Futures data, the amount of young men between 8th grade and 10th grade believing in gender equality and equal pay have plummeted since 2018.
Speaker 8 Give me that age group again.
Speaker 9 OLI.
Speaker 1 12 years ago this week, Roar by Katy Perry and Applause by Lady Gaga were released in the same week, sparking the glee episode, Katie or Gaga.
Speaker 8 How did you imagine that conversation going?
Speaker 1 Like this one.
Speaker 3 Number five.
Speaker 2 Was the Glee episode airing that week also?
Speaker 1 It was like, I think just a couple weeks later, they really just turned it around right quick.
Speaker 7 Both songs were
Speaker 6 pretty quick.
Speaker 3 They didn't age very well.
Speaker 8 Big one. Not really a competition there.
Speaker 7 No, not at all.
Speaker 1 It's pretty crazy when you look back at it.
Speaker 9 Oh, another OLI. Oh.
Speaker 1
CBO research shows that Trump's big, beautiful bill shows the bottom 20% getting poorer. Not much change for most of America.
And the top 10% getting meaningfully richer.
Speaker 1 The largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in a single law in American history.
Speaker 9 All right, number five.
Speaker 1 Demi Lovato reuniting with the Jonas Brothers at a concert. Yes,
Speaker 9 pretty exciting, right? I saw of it.
Speaker 1
Yeah, it was pretty awesome. They played some old songs.
This is real. This is me.
Speaker 7 It was pretty exciting.
Speaker 6 I did watch Camp Rock the other day.
Speaker 7 Did you actually?
Speaker 3 Yeah, it was on at the hotel.
Speaker 1 That was one of the songs
Speaker 3 they sang at the concert.
Speaker 7
I'm more of like a great movie. Descendant Zombies Guy now.
Yeah.
Speaker 6 But a tip of the hat to the old guard.
Speaker 3 All right.
Speaker 1 I'll take that. That's as much engagement as I could have possibly hoped for.
Speaker 1 Number four,
Speaker 1 Supreme Court's going to take away gay marriage.
Speaker 8 Hey, we kind of told you this was coming.
Speaker 6 Told you. Guys, they're going to take a look at it.
Speaker 3 Yeah, they're going to do it.
Speaker 7 You You never know.
Speaker 3 Which, speaking of, see what's what.
Speaker 1 Number three,
Speaker 1 fascism's totally and completely back.
Speaker 1 They're militarizing the police department in D.C., which, you know, that's what you do when you're a fascist regime is you militarize the police force and other areas and make them preach your ideals as your political opponents.
Speaker 3 I'm going to be vulnerable right here.
Speaker 11 We've had months and months of me hearing that word.
Speaker 11 No clue what it means. Yeah.
Speaker 6
That actually tracks. You'd be surprised.
Stu and I had a lengthy conversation about this before the show.
Speaker 3 Really? No, no, not at all.
Speaker 7 Yep.
Speaker 3 Number two.
Speaker 5 Jack Efron and Camp Rock. No, that's high school music.
Speaker 7 No, high school musical. That's one of the camp rock.
Speaker 3 Yeah, high school musical, that's a great one.
Speaker 2 You got to say backjack, and then there would have been more buy-in was a thing on that one.
Speaker 1 I would think of fascism as backjack.
Speaker 11 I would think someone who's a fascist
Speaker 9 plays really good with fashion.
Speaker 2
Hold on. I'm glad you said that.
I'm glad you said that because I was just going to ask you, what do you think if we were to ask you, Chris Cody, what is fascism?
Speaker 2 Oh, I just figured that I would have got it.
Speaker 9 This guy, Jeremy, very fascist-y.
Speaker 2 Yeah, Jeremy's a fascist.
Speaker 3 Yes. Number two.
Speaker 1 The Lost Culture East Us Awards. Anybody?
Speaker 9 Oh, I saw that was a thing.
Speaker 3 It was really good.
Speaker 9 Yeah, fire.
Speaker 2 Yeah, Ben Pats.
Speaker 3 Bates to Sorber one Cool Girl of the Year, right?
Speaker 9 Yeah.
Speaker 1 Ben Platt sang a beautiful stripped-down version of Diet Pepsi by Addison Ray that has now shot that song up the charts because because everybody's streaming it. Beautiful.
Speaker 1 You should listen to the rendition.
Speaker 2 Did you guys, speaking of award shows, see the VMAs are going to be on CBS this year?
Speaker 7 Really?
Speaker 3 That makes sense.
Speaker 2 Yeah, they keep just announcing VMAs on CBS.
Speaker 6 Yeah, and part of the lead up is MTV goes to its original wall-to-wall music video programming two weeks of the lead up.
Speaker 8 So, Chris, you just think every time you turn on CNN they're talking about fashionistas?
Speaker 11 No, I knew that it didn't mean that, but I'm just like, I always hear the word, I'm like, it's not good. It doesn't sound good.
Speaker 2 So it was bad fashion.
Speaker 3 Right.
Speaker 1 Number one, baseball.
Speaker 1 So glad we got here.
