Day 220: Lingering in the Words
Fr. Mark-Mary invites us to pray with attentiveness to the words of the prayers and let the repetition become a space for deeper reverence, presence, and meditation. Resting in the words, we discover how they can carry us, form us, and lead us into a quiet intimacy with the mysteries of Christ. We focus on the intentions within the Our Father: Our Father, God’s revelation of himself as Father, thy will be done, thy kingdom come, daily bread, and deliver us. Today’s focus is the mysteries of the Nativity and the Presentation, and we will be praying two decades of the Rosary.

All right, today we will be praying the third and fourth joyful mysteries, the nativity, and the presentation of our Lord in the temple.
And this will be day two of the five days in which we are really committed to focusing on, praying with,
meditating upon the words of the prayers, of the Our Father, of the Hail Mary, glory be, and the fatim of prayer, at the service of really kind of practicing and really come to appreciate the words themselves.
Part of the genius of the rosary and the ways in which we repeat the prayers again and again is the way in which it can create space for a deeper meditation and contemplation upon the mysteries.
But we do also want to have some of the experience and the habit of praying with the words themselves, which can serve us and serve our prayer in different ways in different seasons of life.
So we're going to continue that journey today.
And we'll take a moment to just pray slowly, paying attention to each of the words, each of the intentions.
Like our Father, God has revealed himself as Father.
And the intentions.
