Speaker 1 Dude,
Speaker 1 this kid.
Speaker 2
Let's do it. I know what you're going to say.
Let's talk about him.
Speaker 1 I mean, this kid is on a
Speaker 1 mission right now, dude.
Speaker 2
All right. Welcome, everybody.
We are a few days out from Christmas, but Throwbacks is here for you, as always.
Speaker 2 Maddie Ice. What's up?
Speaker 2
We got to tell people, again, what we want for Christmas this year. Go to the Throwbacks page on YouTube.
That's all we want. Throwbacks Show on socials, follow, subscribe, interact, all that.
Speaker 2 That's all we want in this day.
Speaker 1 Also, I would love everyone who listens, and we appreciate you guys and the follows on social medias and YouTube and wherever you get your podcasts. But
Speaker 1 I think for 2026,
Speaker 1 I would love more engagement with our audience, right?
Speaker 1 Like, so, so we always say like email us, questions, DM us on social platforms, who you want us to try and get on the pod, what do you want us to talk about?
Speaker 1 Um, we got a lot of fun stuff coming, you know,
Speaker 1 like not really, it's a teaser, but we'll be at Super Bowl together like we were last year. There's a lot of stuff that we get to do together on the road, Jerry, which is awesome.
Speaker 1 Um, so yeah, just uh, you know, we're just two dudes hanging, talking, telling, talking sports, telling stories, man. So if you guys have anything, please message us.
Speaker 2 You know what I think that we could do? That could be fun because I've done this before
Speaker 2 with NBA stuff.
Speaker 2
Do a open panel discussion. Basically, what it is is like old school sports radio calls.
You go live and you have people
Speaker 2 waiting for them.
Speaker 2
And you just bring them in. But that's the thing.
They pop in on video. They ask a question and they start a debate.
And, you know,
Speaker 2 it's all kind of on the fly, but that could be a lot of fun.
Speaker 2
And I'm sure a lot of people would love the chance to, you know, definitely with college football and NFL football ask you some questions in the moment. So maybe we'll do that too.
Look at that.
Speaker 2
That might be our 2026 on the docket. But before we could really talk about 2026, I think we have to give a proper year and review.
to 2025. It was an interesting year.
It was a good year sports-wise.
Speaker 2
A lot has happened. We're going to do this quick throwback style, as formal and informal as we get.
So Matt, are you ready to talk a little 2025?
Speaker 1
I am. I am ready.
A lot happened in 2025. We'll see.
Speaker 2 Well, let's start here. And these go across all sports, whether it's college, football, NFL, NBA, World Series, fights, whatever.
Speaker 2 The best game that you've watched this year.
Speaker 1 I mean, Dodgers World Series, dude.
Speaker 2 Which one? Do you have a specific one? Because those game sixes and seven, six and seven were all time.
Speaker 1 Game six and seven were all time.
Speaker 1 It had to be game seven, dude. Just like
Speaker 1 that series, and we've talked about it, but that series was the best, I mean, arguably the best baseball series we've ever seen in the history of the sport.
Speaker 1 I mean, just like, like, you know, Toronto didn't have all the stock, but it's just everything. Like, they, every moment,
Speaker 1 and what stands out that game, it was like,
Speaker 1 you know, everyone talks about the Dodgers and the payroll and this, but it just came down to like basic fundamentals. It came down to defensive plays.
Speaker 1
It came down to like Miguel Rojas was like out of nowhere. Will Smith's foot barely on the home plate.
Like it was like, it was, it just, I get in chills thinking.
Speaker 2 It's one of the best baseball games.
Speaker 1
It's just one of the best baseball games ever played. And it was in a game seven in the World Series.
And it was my team.
Speaker 1 So, and again, you know how important the Dodgers mean to me with my family and my dad and all that. So it's just one of those things, man, that's like
Speaker 1
you'll, you'll, you'll remember where you were when you watched that game if you're a baseball or Dodgers fan. And for them to win it that way was incredible.
So that would be my best game, man.
Speaker 1 It was just like, it was filled with every moment as well.
Speaker 2 Yeah, for sure. I can easily pick that one as well.
Speaker 2 For me, and I guess my selfish view of it is, and you could pick either one, game one or game two, but Knicks second round versus the Celtics in Boston down 22 points, basically, going into late third quarter, coming back and winning, and Bridges with the game-winning steal.
Speaker 2 And then, only night to game two to go right out and go down 20 points again into the fourth quarter, and coming back in Boston and winning, going up 2-0. You could pick either one of those games.
Speaker 2
But for Knicks fans, it's like, of course, Boston's up by 20. We knew we were going to lose these.
I remember that. And it was stunning.
Speaker 2 I remember putting, I paused the game to put Jacob to bed because he was watching with me and it was already like 9:30.
Speaker 2 And then I came back and I had a little fast forward time, but I started getting notifications on my phone. Like, oh, something's happening.
Speaker 1 You can't do that. You got to watch him live, dude.
Speaker 2
Well, I had to put him to bed. I had to get this kid to bed.
It was almost 10 o'clock at night. That's right.
Just put it on your phone. Just watch it while you're.
Speaker 2
No, I can't, not me. You know, I'm a psycho.
So for me, that was that. All right.
Next sports year and review question. Athlete who dominated the timeline.
Speaker 2 I have a very, this was a very easy one for me.
Speaker 1 Go for it.
Speaker 2
We're just talking about who was on my timeline the most start in 2025, start to finish? Shador Sanders. Not close.
We go back to the draft, Matt, in April, you and I were having massive.
Speaker 2 Then in the summer, all throughout camp. And now, obviously, this is for me, the timeline, maybe it's because I'm in Cleveland.
Speaker 2 I'm a little, my algorithm is a little biased, but for me, Shadora Sanders pretty much since February was being talked about on my timeline.
Speaker 1 And by the way, we were talking, remember we were talking about it in the draft. We were out at the draft in Lambeau and Green Bay.
Speaker 1 And the whole thing was, I mean, again, it's just, it's just, the coverage was, was ridiculous, but the whole thing was like the slide and all that, but he's going to get an opportunity to play this year because it's Cleveland and something's going to happen.
Speaker 1 And sure enough, he's played. And I think the interesting thing is going to be.
Speaker 1 is going to be what happens with him in this quarterback situation in the future. Did he play well enough collectively in these last few few weeks to at least compete for the starting job next year?
Speaker 1 Deshaun Watson's, you know, still there and paying him a lot of money. Do they draft another guy?
Speaker 1
Because again, they don't really have much capital in quarterback room like Dylan Gabriel and Shador Center's third fifth round picks. They're not paying them anything.
Right.
Speaker 1 You know, do you go and get maybe one of these guys that you might believe in in the top five picks? I don't know. It's going to be really interesting.
Speaker 1 By the way, he's dominated your timeline and he's going to continue to dominate your timeline in the offseason because everyone's going to want to know what the Cleveland Browns are going to do.
Speaker 1 For me,
Speaker 1 Travis Kelsey, I think that's an easy one. He dominates my timeline because I'm just a fan of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey.
Speaker 2 So
Speaker 1 my whole for you page is just
Speaker 1 my guy. And I saw him at Mahomes' golf tournament in Vegas this year, earlier this year, and it was fun because I've always loved the dude.
Speaker 1 He's a great dude. He hasn't let any of this
Speaker 1
fame and on a whole nother level, a stratosphere level with her, like change who he is. He's a great dude.
He's a locker royal.
Speaker 1 And I say that because, you know, this might be the last year we see him play.
Speaker 2 Oh, I know.
Speaker 1
Yeah. And I say that.
So, like, you know, if it is, I mean, send off to probably the greatest to do it. I mean, I think he's definitely in that.
Speaker 1 He's definitely a GOAT conversation is easily could argue he's the best tight end of all time.
Speaker 2 um so he he kind of dominated that but also like i have a feeling he's done just i it just kind of feels like the way he's talking but um especially if like i i guess you know we i know guys have been coming back very very quickly from the injuries quicker than ever before but if you mean to say like you don't know for sure if patrick mahomes is going to be your quarterback coming into game one
Speaker 1
Yeah, I mean, I think, I think he'll be, I think he'll be back at some point early in the season. He'll recover.
Right.
Speaker 2 But I'm saying for Kelsey, you got to weigh that too. You weigh in this decision.
Speaker 1 I just, it just, it just felt like, and I respect him because like, you don't really do like a farewell. Like, NBA guys are doing like farewell tours, right? Like, it's like ridiculous.
Speaker 1 I get it, though, but like, Kelsey don't even really, he's just like, you know, I'll figure it out in the offseason. It just feels, it feels different, right? It just feels like
Speaker 1
the tone is a little bit different, right? Because this window is open. It's closed.
Like, their championship window,
Speaker 1 it's it's just closed, man. You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 For at least a few years, right? They have to reboot the whole team.
Speaker 1
Yeah, you have to reboot the whole team. Mahomes is still in this prime, but like we talked, Reed is getting old.
Like, it's just like, like, they had a great run. And it's, you know, it's just.
Speaker 2 It was like the first time I started thinking, too, about, like,
Speaker 2 does Mahomes wear a Chiefs jersey his entire career? Because
Speaker 2 kind of like the LeBron blueprint in a way, like, they've put so much resources toward win now and they had a lot of expensive pieces and they have an older coach.
Speaker 2 If that's over, if you're Mahomes, do you want to sit through a sort of, I know football rebuilds can move a little faster at times, but do you want to sit through a
Speaker 2 rebuild essentially, or do you want to maybe head somewhere else where they're a little closer and maybe take a little less?
Speaker 1 My thought is,
Speaker 1 my thought is, and anything can happen, that he'll be a chief probably his career.
Speaker 2 But
Speaker 1 the one is Joe Burrow.
Speaker 1
That's a whole other conversation that we can start in 2026 because I don't don't think he's going to bangle his whole. There's no way.
I think there's no way, dude. And
Speaker 1 you could hear it. You could feel it.
Speaker 1 I've been in, I mean, I'm not Joe Burrow by any means, but I can just, I can put my mind in a quarterback getting beat up like that. And just like, what are we doing?
Speaker 2 And the losses pile up.
Speaker 1 And, and you're in a historically terrible organization. Like, they're just bad.
Speaker 2 They don't spend money the way on the right things.
Speaker 1 He's going to be a superstar that is gone in the next two years, in my opinion.
Speaker 2 Breakfast might be the most important choice you make all day. That's because at Wendy's two for $3 breakfast, you could mix and match your very own perfect pairing of our delicious morning favorites.

One thing I forgot to mention on the Shadora Sanders, why he dominated my timeline, too. He officially has a conspiracy theory.
Have you heard the Stefanski? No.
Speaker 2
This was on my solar again. I don't even know if this is true.
I saw this on Twitter, but you know, the whole crowd that's like, they're intentionally, they're trying to
Speaker 2
whatever. But someone did this like deep dive.
So Deion Sanders famously, I guess, either when they won the World Series or got to the World Series, doused Tim McCarver in Champagne.
Speaker 2 Again, this is a fake.
Speaker 2 conspiracy it's an amazing fake conspiracy maybe someone could research and tell me if this is real or not uh so tim mccarver like they had words there was an awkward confrontation on live live TV.
Speaker 2 And apparently it's the conspiracy theorist is saying that Kevin Stefanski is married to Tim McCarver's daughter.
Speaker 2 And this is like retribution
Speaker 2 for Deion Sanders spraying Tim McCarver.
Speaker 2 But I was saying for timeline purposes, this is why this dude's all over mine. So
Speaker 2
we touched on a lot of things there. Yeah.
So now let's do our Wendy's fresh take of the week when talking about 2025 year in review. Everyone could join team 10s and enjoy a lineup like never before.
Speaker 2 Crispy, juicy 10s now at Wendy's. For this one, Matt, we're just going to do our 2025
Speaker 2
moment of the year. Now, there's a lot of great moments across sports.
You can go anywhere you want with this. I took my time with this one, and we already touched on amazing stuff with the Dodgers.
Speaker 2 For me, I went Rory McElroy closing out the Grand Slam, getting all the majors. He's had such a big year.
Speaker 2 Then the Royal Cup stuff later almost blew it and for rory you know he hadn't won a major in so long and for golf that really is how you're measured when you're one of the great ones so for him to take on all that pressure and win in augusta with the world watching that and i was such a golf nerd that was my moment by the way it was great and one of my top moments and this isn't this is what i'm gonna say but the was the ryder cup this year yeah because it was so invested because of golf and just you know obviously getting more into it and then having jt on and all these things.
Speaker 1 But to watch, I believe that Sunday, us like you were texting me.
Speaker 2 You were texting me.
Speaker 1
You know, we had to win. Like we were down seven.
Like you had to win. And then the first couple win and Jay that we were hitting like 10-foot putts to win.
And then JT's putt was winning.
Speaker 1
And then by the way, and then they made a couple and then it just fizzled and we lost. But it was like the hype that day.
Like I hadn't, I hadn't watched golf that long ever in the history.
Speaker 1 So for me, the, the,
Speaker 1 the moment the game, the, the thing that I thought was the coolest this year was the Four Nations face-off in the NHL. Oh, wow.
Speaker 2 Good call.
Speaker 1 And I, I thought about this because, you know, I love hockey. Like, I don't watch a ton of it.
Speaker 1 I love hockey, but we're always talking about how you can change the NBA All-Star, you change the Pro Bowl, or like, what, like, like this, this in-season cup for the NBA.
Speaker 1 It has one of those things, like, how do we get people more excited, right? I thought that was the greatest thing that the NHL could have ever done, right? It was the four teams.
Speaker 1
I think it was what, Sweden, Sweden, Canada, US, and Finland. Yes.
And playing in like a little Olympic style tournament for like that weekend. And the ratings were huge.
It had the moments.
Speaker 1 Canada beat us in the final, but remember, it was like the, yeah, the fights.
Speaker 2 Yeah, three fights in the first nine.
Speaker 1 All the stars played. Like, it was just like, it's like, you know, when we watch the, when we watch the dunk contest, we want to see, like, I want to see Anthony Anthony Edwards in the dunk contest.
Speaker 1
I want to see John Morant. I want to see, I would have loved to see LeBron in his prime.
Like all the stars played in this and it was meaningful. That's why we love like the Olympics, right?
Speaker 1
Cause you love your country. So anyway, the Four Nations face-off, I thought it was fantastic.
I'm assuming they're going to do it every year because it was such a hit.
Speaker 1
But man, I was glued to all those hockey games. And it was like, I mean, they didn't really mean anything, but it was pride and stuff.
So that would be the moment. They just like, that was so cool.
Speaker 2 I think it meant a lot. And I think
Speaker 2 the momentum of that was felt around sports because you got to imagine now going into 2026 with the NBA and their all-star weekend. Now they're doing essentially America, like NBA versus the world.
Speaker 2 And
Speaker 2 where did they get that from?
Speaker 2 And then you look at basketball in the Olympics, like that's probably been one of the best basketball sport moments with Steph Curry putting them to sleep, you know?
Speaker 2 So I think that was the first oh shit moment after the success of the World's Cup or whatever it's even called, that like other sports are like, man, we got to do better because that is as high level as it gets.
Speaker 1 By the way, high level and like playing as hard as they possibly could. Like it wasn't like an all-star, like, you know, like the NHL all-star games, you know, like, again, like, it's all-star.
Speaker 1
No one wants to get hurt. No one's like, people want time off, but they play like NBA all-star.
You know, these guys aren't going to play a physical game like it's game seven of the NBA championship.
Speaker 1
But like, these dudes were playing for their country and it meant something and they were fighting. And like, Connor McDavid is the best player in the world.
He scores again.
Speaker 1 Like, like, they just had all these moments and you could tell it meant something to them. Like, they were like, hell yeah, we're playing for our country.
Speaker 1
It was just, it was like, it was awesome, dude. It was just like, holy shit, this is, this is rad.
Like, we're going to see this every year. It's so cool.
Speaker 2
Shout out to Wendy's two for supporting us the whole year. Wendy's.
And
Speaker 2 my next one for you.
Speaker 2
It's funny because like I had it as like viral sports moment. Now, this could be like good or bad or chaotic.
And I went with like bad to chaotic. I didn't go good.
Speaker 2 I don't know why my brain just went to bad chaotic.
Speaker 2 For me, the thing that I still find myself thinking about, and I can't even believe that it happened, was the Stephen A. Smith, LeBron James court side stuff.
Speaker 2 Only because like we just never see that, right?
Speaker 2 We live in a world now where if you get pissed off, you just go on someone athlete-wise, just go on someone's podcast, talk your shit, get your point across, and then keep it moving.
Speaker 2
Never do these two two people cross paths, and it's for public display. And we kind of saw it.
It was awesome.
Speaker 2 You know, it wasn't quite Will Smith, keep my son's name out your mouth like he did with slapping Chris Rock, but you just don't see that.
Speaker 2 And I don't know if any other player besides LeBron would have even done that. And I wonder, like in your career,
Speaker 2 you know, people have probably said, good things, bad things. Have you ever wanted to just a reporter that maybe had it out for you?
Speaker 1 Yeah, beat the hell hell out of you.
Speaker 2 Or just even just like, just get, you know, unload some verbal shit that you had on your mind.
Speaker 1 They're definitely, there definitely,
Speaker 1 yeah, there definitely has been times.
Speaker 1 I think
Speaker 1 like the closest thing that I could always talk about is like Ken Wizenhunt, you know, with my coach in Arizona, who, you know, I just.
Speaker 1
Again, we don't have to go rehash all of that, but there were just moments where I just, I thought I was treated unfairly. I knew he didn't like me.
I didn't like him.
Speaker 1 I think I ran into him a couple years later, like on the sideline or something. And I just like, we shook hands and kind of like, I don't even say buried the hatchet because I'm sure he did.
Speaker 1 I didn't think about him ever. Like, I didn't care, but it was just one of those things where it's like, when you do, when it does pop up, you're like, oh yeah, that, that ass, you know, like that.
Speaker 1 So that would probably be the one.
Speaker 1
moment where we probably shook hands and moved on. But there were always reporters that said bad stuff.
And,
Speaker 1 oh, yeah, the dude, the dude who, I'm not even giving, not even mention his name because I don't know his name, but the first picture that ever went viral, me, right? The whole hot tub thing.
Speaker 1 That dude, I would, I would beat his ass if I saw him. But he's, he's, he's low level.
Speaker 2 So, um,
Speaker 1 but, uh, yeah, we could, we could even, we can post that too because that guy was.
Speaker 2 And I even think, like, you remember when like Blake Griffin ran into Balmer Courtside when after he got traded and shipped out and Blake just blew past him, pretended not to see him.
Speaker 2 That's a very slick way of like unloading without actually doing the act like no one can really call him out but it was a clear
Speaker 1 but we're gonna get but we're gonna get more of these i think because to your point we do have like we can hide behind a camera you can hide behind your your twitter thumbs but it's so out there now and in your face that eventually like guys in the NBA are talking smack it like you're gonna cross into people now and you're gonna see it and they're we're gonna see more moments like LeBron and Stephen A I think because of the access that we have to everybody might not be at a courtside game but um yeah we're also in this like world now where you know in sports media there there's like straight up stars now like McAfee is a star and he has to say things five days a week Stephen A is a giant star he's on TV fucking five hours a day right like it's gonna happen but like now their profiles are so large and their followings are so large that it's making this clash.
Speaker 2 Like you didn't go at that reporter with the photo, but imagine if that was like McAfee leading with that photo, right?
Speaker 1 Like I know.
Speaker 2 It'd be a whole different world that, you know, so you're right. I mean, and it's tricky that LeBron situation too, because the cool
Speaker 2 kid,
Speaker 2 his son, but also like, you know, that's part of being a pro athlete is pros getting criticized by
Speaker 2 the money.
Speaker 1 And Bronnie's an adult too now, you know, he's got, yeah, I mean, it's, yeah, it's interesting.
Speaker 2 Man, all right, let's bounce around. You know what?
Speaker 2 Let's stick with our good friends now at Nitza because this one I think we're going to have to spend a minute on because I'm privy to who I think you're going to pick here.
Speaker 2 First off,
Speaker 2 it's now time for Crossroads presented by Nitza. Next time you're out drinking, call a ride share, a taxi, a sober friend, or designated sober driver.
Speaker 2 The only decision that will change your world for the better is the decision to call for a sober ride. Get sober or get pulled over.
Speaker 2 Matt, the question I have for our NHTSA crossroad moment, someone who wasn't anyone's official MVP, but was your MVP?
Speaker 1 Dude, this kid.
Speaker 2
Let's do it. I know what you're going to say.
Let's talk about him.
Speaker 1 Timothy Chalamay.
Speaker 1
This kid. What a heater.
What a heater. I mean, this kid is on a...
Speaker 1 mission right now, dude. And the best part about him is he seems like,
Speaker 1
actually, I know he is. And you know, I know you know him a tiny bit, right? Just Knicks and stuff.
He just seems like a kid, man, who loves, he's like, he does his job.
Speaker 1 He does it as well as anybody in the world. He loves sports.
Speaker 1 I just saw him a couple of weeks back.
Speaker 1
He was watching a table tennis match. I think I saw.
He was all over, like, just literally with normal people, just watching like back and forth, like ping pong or someone. Like he
Speaker 1 has got a
Speaker 1
girlfriend who's super famous, who's awesome. He's got every hit movie.
He's incredible. He's a sports fan.
I just love the dude, man.
Speaker 2 He's at a real crossroad in a good way. Like,
Speaker 2 because, you know, he gets so many comparisons to other actors. And I guess the easy comp, if we're doing it like sports coming out of a draft, right? You would maybe make the Leo comp, right?
Speaker 2
And in certain ways. Leo was, you know, blew up so when he was around the the same age.
But, and like the thing from with Leo, and again, I don't, I don't know him all that well.
Speaker 2
I've only met him a couple of times. Good dude.
Um, but I think he kind of followed this old school way of thinking on an acting front, where it was, um,
Speaker 2 I can't let you know too much about me personally. And how are you going to believe me in all these different roles if you know all this about me? I'm not saying he's never said that to me.
Speaker 2 I've never heard him really say that publicly. That was always the vibes I got from
Speaker 2 his camp and just watching him all these years.
Speaker 2 You know,
Speaker 2 Shalamay, I think, who's like the, I guess you could say is almost like the modern version, where it's kind of the opposite.
Speaker 2 I just saw him on a wrestling pod, okay, with Cody Rhodes, where he went so deep into every wrestling event that he was on.
Speaker 2 Obviously, like the ping pong stuff with Mario Supreme, the Knicks stuff we've all watched. If you go back in time to earlier this year, I talked about those Knicks Boston games.
Speaker 2 He's following them around, right? And then he's even linked to be, you know, there's this whole, is he this hidden rapper who wears a mask, right? People think it's him. There's this lore going on.
Speaker 2
And he's been very public outwardly saying, I want to be one of the best to ever do it. I want to win the Oscar.
Like he's not, it's not that he's not being humble. He's just being competitive.
Speaker 2 I do think his intersection with sports has made him competitive with his career.
Speaker 1 He, it's, it's a great comparison to Leo because Leo, there's so many layers to Leo that you're like, you don't know a lot about him, right?
Speaker 1 But, but a good dude, like never, no one says a bad thing about him. But with Timothy,
Speaker 1 he still has, even though he's out in the public and he's kind of like one of us, right?
Speaker 1 Like he just, he just loves the things he loves and he's doing it and he's competing at a high level, but he's not, he doesn't shy away.
Speaker 1 But there's still an aura about him, I think, that you're just like, there's something about this kid that he's just oozing. Like he, like we talk about
Speaker 1
as a quarterback, like you have that it factor. He has just that it factor, even though we see him all the time in public.
And we're like, cool, he still has the aura, you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 So to be able to do that and balance both is
Speaker 2
well, and he's a G, and also, like, it's hard to get anyone to see movies. And Leo's maybe in the best movie of the year.
I don't know if it's going to win the Oscar one battle after another.
Speaker 2
It's, you know, it's on my list for another topic we have in here, but we're starting to see Leo. He never went on late night talk shows.
We're starting to see that.
Speaker 2 You know, he did new heights with Benicio. So
Speaker 2 I think it's
Speaker 2
shallow understanding. Like, you gotta, you can't promote the movies the same way you used to.
It just doesn't work anymore. You have to get out there.
Speaker 1 He did a cool sit-down with Jennifer Lawrence that just came out, too.
Speaker 2 That's, and she's, she's a great, but yeah, it's why he said he's like never seen Titanic since he made like, God, I feel like never snuck a peek.
Speaker 1 There's so many questions you want to ask a guy like that because he's just kind of like, he's kind of hid for like the last 30 years.
Speaker 1 And it's like, so to see him, like your point to kind of see him open up and he's laughing he's like because he is a good dude like i i mean i know a lot of people know him they're like dude he's like loves playing basketball like like pickleball i think he plays or something but um but yeah man shalom
Speaker 1 by the way how i mean how old is shalom 22 20 23 or something i don't know he's yeah but uh hey timothy 2026 throwbacks man we got to get you on is that that's got to be our resolution yeah it's got to be
Speaker 2 and all i know is my my only real encounter i've talked about on the show before but i go back to playing pickup with him when he was like what 16 years old and that mofo was picking me up 90 feet bro he was like delavedova or nem hard he's 29.
Speaker 2 is he 29
Speaker 2 time's flying bro time's going by quicker but yeah that dude was picking me up 90 feet and i didn't like it i was like get this kid out of here picking me up 90 feet all right a few more and then we're going to close up because we're going to come back next week and we're going to do the flip side to our year interview, which is going to be our freezing cold takes, which is my favorite Twitter account, maybe of all time.
Speaker 2
So good. Let's figure out one more to do here.
Oh, you know what? Let's move into a little bit of TV. I like to hit Maddie on some pop culture stuff.
Okay.
Speaker 2 Give me,
Speaker 2 is there a show that you binged embarrassingly fast? Like the fact that you finished these episodes in this amount of time would shock people this year? This year.
Speaker 1 The problem is, dude, is I don't, I'm always on that dilemma. If I start a show with the wife and she's kind of into it, kind of not, do I keep watching it without her? Cause I travel so much.
Speaker 1 So
Speaker 1 there wasn't a show
Speaker 1 that I binged, but my favorite show, it's kind of, is, is Yellowstone was my favorite sto.
Speaker 2 See, I've never seen Yellowstone.
Speaker 1 Yellowstone is. Absolutely one of the best shows I've ever watched, in my opinion.
Speaker 1 Like Game of Thrones is my number one, but like Yellowstone, I think it also finished this year, so I think it's done. And then
Speaker 1 Landman, which is currently on.
Speaker 2 Oh, so you're part of the Taylor Sheridan universe.
Speaker 1 I'm all a part of Taylor Sheridan Universe, dude.
Speaker 1 I haven't seen some of the other ones that he did, but like Landman, because Billy Bobthorne is one of my favorite actors. Like, he's just great, and he's so good in this show.
Speaker 1
Landman has peaked and slowly become one of my favorite shows of 2025. And it's, I think, I think we're only in season two.
So
Speaker 1 those would be the two, man, off the top of my head.
Speaker 2 Do you know what wouldn't surprise me if in 10 years, I don't know why this like makes sense because you're such a, you know, you're a California kid.
Speaker 2
To me, you're such a beach guy, you know, now that I've really gotten to know you. But like, it wouldn't shock me if 10 years.
Like, you're a liner. I bought like a ranch.
I don't know why.
Speaker 1 I feel like I could see like a tell my wife that she would go buy a ranch tomorrow and live there.
Speaker 2 Not that you're going to be like riding horses and shit, but I see you make, or maybe just like lake life with some real property. We maybe have some horses, or I don't know.
Speaker 2 I could see you going like landman.
Speaker 1
Lake life is my dream. That's for sure.
Land, landman. I don't know, man.
I can't see myself having a barn and like having a horse.
Speaker 2
I don't think you're doing the work. You're not like milking cows.
I ain't doing that shit. I'm not saying that, but just like, I could see you having some property.
We'll just call it lake life.
Speaker 2
I don't know. I see you in a cowboy hat.
I know you like stagecoach. You like the country music.
Speaker 2 That's true. I could see you.
Speaker 1 Well, for me, you're speaking Josie's language right now.
Speaker 2 I didn't really have intentions on watching this show.
Speaker 2 And honestly, like I judge how good a show is now by does it keep Bri and I awake? Like, are we awake past 10 o'clock watching?
Speaker 2
There's only really been two shows so far in the last six months that have done that. And one was Stranger Things because we've been fans from the beginning.
So we banged all those out quick.
Speaker 2
But the one that I was surprised, I didn't think I was going to watch it. And I got really curious was I Love LA.
I don't know if you've watched the show or heard much about it.
Speaker 2 And maybe selfishly, they're making a lot of comparisons, like, oh, it's like girls, it's like sex in the city. And Rachel Sennett, her name, she's the lead of the show.
Speaker 2 She's also the creator of the show, said publicly, no, well, yeah, it's more what I was influenced by. It's more like early entourage, right?
Speaker 2 And I'm like, no one says that stuff anymore, let alone a show with a female lead, right? It's like, you're not, you can't say that. So I'm like, let me, let me watch through on the first episode.
Speaker 2
I'm like, well, that's pretty good. Threw on the set.
And I ripped through him. And now I'm caught up to where the episodes are caught.
Now I have to wait till Sunday night.
Speaker 1 Where do you watch it? Where do you see it? HBO.
Speaker 2
HBO. It's an HBO show.
I think that was also some of the like sex in the city comparisons, but I Love LA is a very, very well done, fun show.
Speaker 2 Not even because she said nice, kind things about Entourage.

This is a question from James Ferrara. Okay.
The kids show that you secretly love, that your boys watch, that you are in the background, maybe checking in. What are they doing this week?
Speaker 2 what's up dude what's up buddy hi you say hi to matt
Speaker 2 um
Speaker 1 that's a good okay so
Speaker 1 that's a good question i'm all here's i have one the sad part is is my boys don't watch a ton of shows because they just watch youtube right well maybe there's a youtube show for you though but
Speaker 1 Yeah, we're big, big, big Ben and Cam fans.
Speaker 2 Ben and Cam.
Speaker 1 Hey, I need, can you bring Kason in here?
Speaker 1 Have you heard of Ben and Cam?
Speaker 2 Don't touch the mic. Yes, we've heard of Ben and Cam.
Speaker 2 Okay, hold on. What's up, dude?
Speaker 1
Don't worry. I bring Kason.
You and Kason are going to do a couple of things.
Speaker 2 Oh, you're going to see Matt's going to bring Kaysen. You haven't seen Casey since LA.
Speaker 1
It's more than movies for me, Jerry. Yeah, when I'm scrolling movies, I'm like, hey, let's throw Toy Story guys on because I want to kind of watch it.
And they're like, dad, we've seen it 50 times.
Speaker 1 I'm like, yeah, but let's just watch or like cars.
Speaker 1 So it's always more like kind of one that I want to kind of at least like.
Speaker 2 like well, you know, the big news is Toy Story 5 is coming out next year. That's like my most anticipated movie of 2026 for sure.
Speaker 1 Hold on, Casey. Here, come here.
Speaker 2 Casey's coming in on the show real quick. Hey,
Speaker 2 look at you here. Hi.
Speaker 2 Hi, Kason.
Speaker 2 Can you hear him?
Speaker 2 What's up, buddy? Hi.
Speaker 1 Hey, boys, ask Kays what his favorite show is. Let's see what it is.
Speaker 2 So, yeah, could you ask Kayson what his favorite TV show is? What is your favorite show?
Speaker 2 uh what are you watching right now caseon
Speaker 4 uh the screen
Speaker 2 the what what's your favorite tv show
Speaker 1 that you like to watch uh
Speaker 4 no idea
Speaker 1 what do we watch on youtube who do we watch a lot on youtube
Speaker 4 ben and cam
Speaker 2 ben and cam on youtube now wait james
Speaker 2
Can you tell Casey your favorite show? I mean, I know what it is that iDad watches with you all the time. Bluey.
Bluey.
Speaker 2 Have you watched watched Bluey?
Speaker 4 No.
Speaker 2 You should try out some Bluey.
Speaker 2 Why? It's a fun show and they're quick episodes. They're like really fast.
Speaker 2 You could tell on something really quick as we're closing out the show.
Speaker 1 Who watches Bluey?
Speaker 2 Bluey's dad pretends to be a chick. Corey Carson.
Speaker 1 We watched Corey Carson.
Speaker 2 Corey Carson. Remember Corey Carson? Yeah.
Speaker 2 All right. Go, Scram.
Speaker 1
All right. Bye.
Get out of here.
Speaker 2 Casey.
Speaker 2
So there we go. We got a little bit from our correspondence.
All right. That's our throwbacks of your review.
Let's let's bring on Annie Agar for some twisted trivia.
Speaker 2 See if I could keep the momentum going.
Speaker 2 Joining us as she always does, Annie Agar, courtesy of twisted tea, grab a refreshing twisted tea today.
Speaker 2
I'm definitely going to need one probably after this round of twisted trivia that we're going to be doing. Annie in a new location once again.
You don't have to give it out.
Speaker 2 It's an undisclosed location, we can just say for you, right?
Speaker 4
I'm hidden away somewhere. Yeah, it's the holiday location, you know? There you go.
Got to get back with the family for the holiday
Speaker 4 well are you uh are you christmas eve or christmas day i feel like every family has matt's matt and i talked about this last week are you christmas eve or christmas day that's a great question we have a different tradition for both days so christmas eve we go to church and then we come back we always open up pajamas my mom says every year she doesn't have them and she always has them uh we always open up pajamas and then we just drink and eat food and play these super competitive games like my family gets really into games so we just just have a night and then we wake up then like Christmas Eve is super chill we don't we stay in our pajamas all day open presents relax have a good breakfast and now we got football yeah what kind of games
Speaker 1 there's so many new games what games do you play there's so many new ones
Speaker 4 give us a yeah glimpse my mom is insane with like she she plans so well but she last year had an auction so we all had fake money and she had wrapped presents differently so like there were small presents in big boxes big presents and you know random bags and stuff.
Speaker 4 And you had, you could spend, you only had like, I think we each had like $200 of fake money and you had to bid on each auction package. So like my, but it seems a lot harder than it actually is.
Speaker 4 Like you can, I mean, you can outbid other people and, but you could, you could spend all $200 on a terrible present, you know, like my brother.
Speaker 2 It's like an auction draft.
Speaker 4
My brother got like a, it's an auction draft. Yeah.
He got like a can of sardines and he was holding out for like the entire auction because he thought he was there.
Speaker 4 One of one of the presents was like a TV or something. So my mom, they'll like be big presents.
Speaker 4 Wow, and he was holding out the entire auction and he waited till the last one and he got to the biggest one, and it was like a little case.
Speaker 1 That's hilarious. I love that.
Speaker 4
It's so much fun, yeah. And then we play like the typical like euchre.
We love euchre.
Speaker 2 Euchre, that's a midwest game. Okay, very
Speaker 2 learned about euchre.
Speaker 4 It would take the entire show to try to explain.
Speaker 1 Is it a car?
Speaker 1 Is it a card game? Oh, it's a card game, okay?
Speaker 4 But like the dumbest card game ever, but it's fun.
Speaker 2
But I somehow I've also lost thousands of dollars playing euchre. That game sounds fun.
That's part like price is right, part deal and no deal.
Speaker 2 Like you could take this now or go, is your mom like auctioneer going like when they get 100? She's running the show, right?
Speaker 4 She did, yeah. I don't know if you ever guys ever watched Survivor, the show Survivor?
Speaker 2 Yeah, of course.
Speaker 4 So they do it on Survivor toward the end. I don't know if it's like new, but they, in the last season, they didn't do it, I don't think, but they do like the same thing, but with food.
Speaker 4
So I think that's where she got the idea. So you can, you spend your money wisely.
You can get like two or three meals.
Speaker 1 But if you don't, then then you're what what is we jerry and i talked about this last week and um because we have kids so we we talked about kind of like the worst tradition and elf on the shelf is definitely just flown up the flown up the ladder for i don't know how you guys do that is there is there a worst tradition or a tradition that you hate that you've maybe you're not a part of that you've seen or just something that
Speaker 4 or no i don't like when um i i actually dated somebody whose family did this i don't like when people, the kids just open presents
Speaker 2 whenever the hell they want.
Speaker 4 It stresses me out. Like you're telling me I spent two weeks trying to find this present for you and you're just ripping it open and on to the next one?
Speaker 1 Actually, this is a good, this is a good question for, this is a good, so are you, so
Speaker 1
Josie gets so mad. This is her pet peeve.
So like when we're at, if we go to my brother's house or we're like, we go, everyone just opens presents without saying who they're from.
Speaker 1
It's like, and that's kind of how we grew up. It wasn't like, it wasn't a race.
We just kind of like did it that way.
Speaker 1
And she goes, like, we do one at a time. Like everyone goes around.
It takes more time, but it's also a little more.
Speaker 2 It's not audio.
Speaker 1
It's just like, hey, open up one before, say thank you, give a hug, whatever. And then you move on to the next one.
So that's, that's what you guys, that's what.
Speaker 4
Yeah. And it's harder with big family.
Like, I get the big family thing, but with us, it was always just my immediate family and then like maybe a couple cousins and stuff. And we do it that way.
Speaker 4
And then it would make it last longer. Yeah.
And we'd plan it.
Speaker 2 So like we'd have mimosas and and now it's so fun we just take our time and yeah i forgot about that well let's get i want to get a female perspective on this question that matt and i answered last week as well
Speaker 2 how far do you extend the gift buying like who do you buy presents for currently like how far into it do you go yeah where's your cutoff um
Speaker 4 i don't really so for like my all my girlfriends i'll i'll host like a dinner and then i'll get them like slippers and pajamas or cute little things.
Speaker 4 And then it's just pretty much my immediate family and then my agent and her assistant.
Speaker 2 You do the business.
Speaker 4
I do. I do.
And I love, oh, I love, I'm a big gift giver. Like that's, you know, like the love language is mine is.
Speaker 4 The way I show love is by gift giving, not really receiving it with gifts, but for her, like she loves her dogs and she loves wine.
Speaker 4 So I found this person on Etsy that pan paints a like a dog portrait on a wine bottle.
Speaker 2 Wow, you're so thoughtful.
Speaker 4 It was so fun.
Speaker 2 Me and and jerry are terrible gift guys i would never think of this last week i think of the wine like i sent matt some wine i would never be like i'm gonna paint matt i just it's well that's the thing though like do we like do the three of us get each other gifts like where does the cutoff you know like
Speaker 2 i'm gonna take yeah i'm gonna take the pressure off right now absolutely not
Speaker 2 No
Speaker 4
way. My gift to you guys is I'll pick the next winner of trivia.
I'll do something nice with trivia.
Speaker 1 I will text you a really nice, thoughtful text on Christmas morning
Speaker 1 saying how grateful I am for this new relationship and this segment and all the stuff we're doing together.
Speaker 4 Which he did you on Thanksgiving. That was so one of you guys did.
Speaker 2
That was so sweet. Matt's a good texter.
He's a thoughtful text.
Speaker 4 That was very sweet.
Speaker 2 Yeah.
Speaker 1
I'm a great, I'm a good texter. I think I'm very thoughtful when that, but I'm just not a great gift giver.
I'm not a creative, like, Josie's always like, oh my God, like, I'm just like.
Speaker 1 I get, I'll give her flowers once a week.
Speaker 1 Like, I'm just like thoughtful like that, but I'm not like, you know, there's not a lot of, I don't want to say like deepness to it it's just like i don't have like my buddy did a
Speaker 1 my buddy did for his i was like bro what are you doing
Speaker 1 he did he did like a song he like made a whole song about their um
Speaker 1 it's cool it's awesome i was like oh that'd be awesome i guess you could type it in and you can make a song about your journey of dating and then it kind of throws out a song about it but it's like legit ai yeah but it was it was different than ai it was something and and he did it and i'm like
Speaker 1 i'm like dude like you're making me look bad.
Speaker 2 Now, does it count, though, if I
Speaker 2 talk about this last year with Brie being pregnant and I put it all into chat GPT or some AI app and say, I need a song, but just how beautiful my wife's been during this pregnancy.
Speaker 2 And then it spits me out an amazing song.
Speaker 2 Do I get credit for just throwing it in chat GPT? Yeah, but
Speaker 4 it takes five seconds.
Speaker 4 But you thought you put the thought behind it. That's what that's.
Speaker 2 I was so stressed out if I had to get you. Well, Matt, if I had to get like get a co-working gift for Annie, I would be like, what do I get? Annie, it would either be something way over the top.
Speaker 2
It would be so over the top. You'd be like, Jerry, why did you get me a fucking car? Or it would be like something so small.
I'd be like, dude, you got me a box of raisins. Like plums?
Speaker 2 You sent me plums.
Speaker 4 Oh, that's why we're texting.
Speaker 1 That's why we do say Annie, what was the best gift that you ever received? One that just one,
Speaker 1 Jerry talked about his mom getting the starter jacket, which was an awesome story. I don't know if you heard that story, but it's it's awesome, and she saved up money for it.
Speaker 1 Um, we kind of talked about like you know, like the Nintendo 64 was like for us. I don't know if you played the, I mean, you're a lot younger than us, but she'd be like,
Speaker 4 the we, the we was big, the we, yeah.
Speaker 1 What was your do you have one that just sticks out? Maybe when you were even a little kid, like, man, that one was meaningful or
Speaker 1 just something you use all the time.
Speaker 4 My, um, my parents always like to do surprises, so they'd wait, they'd get through all the presents, and we
Speaker 4 should, my mom would say every year, she'd be like, This is gonna be a smaller Christmas, like, you know, just a few presents, and it would, and she'd be right, but then there'd always be like a big one at the end, but it wouldn't happen every year, so it was like a guessing game.
Speaker 4 So, this one year, we wanted to go to Disney so badly, and my, because my Disney's so great with Johnny and my brother, like they're super accommodating, so that was always our family trip.
Speaker 4
And we hadn't been for a couple years, and we kept wanting to go. I think my dad had switched jobs or something.
So we just weren't planning on this Disney trip at all.
Speaker 4
And my mom had like hinted at it before, but then she totally squashed anything about any Disney trip. Like, it just wasn't going to happen.
So we get through presents and it was a smaller Christmas.
Speaker 4
And we're like, okay, maybe like this Disney trip is happening. And so we're all sitting at the end of opening gifts, like waiting for it to happen.
Mom's like, okay, let's go have breakfast.
Speaker 4
So we, then we decided, oh, it's just not this year. We're just not going to go.
So we go up to breakfast and my mom brings out like a little package. This is like hours later.
Speaker 4 And it was a, it ended up being a balloon.
Speaker 4 I i think i don't remember i was younger but it was a balloon but it had mickey mouse on it like really small and so we're looking at this balloon and then there was like a little mickey in the corner and then she brought out like mickey and mini ears and she's like we're going to disney it was so fun that's amazing and that was like those trips because that present then got us through the the winter months and then we looked forward to the trip it was so much fun you know what i respect about that too
Speaker 2 It wasn't like, hey, kids, Santa's sending us to Disney. That's like
Speaker 2 mom and dad are getting the credit for this one because we're paying for it and we're taking
Speaker 2 Santa that is bringing you this gift.
Speaker 1
Jerry, question for you. I've just, I just got all these questions now because Christmas spirit.
Yeah, I mean, I, Christmas gifts. Yes.
Speaker 1 Do, do, does every gift that comes from you and Brie to the kids, is that come from you or is every gift from Santa?
Speaker 2 I think in the past, it's been all from Santa until I had to step in this year, in fact, when we were like talking about some of the things we're getting them.
Speaker 2 And also my wife, Brie had one year, Annie, like, I guess it was like three years ago when my kids were like three.
Speaker 2
This woman went so far overboard for little kid Christmases that like stuff I wasn't even aware of. I said, this cannot go on.
First of all, the precedent we're set.
Speaker 2
I'm like, this is 10 of my Christmases rolled up into one. So now we go, we scale it way, way back.
But I'm like, we have to pick a thing that has to be from us. It just has to be something
Speaker 2 very specific. And you would not be able to do that.
Speaker 4 I've been a good guy the whole time and not you guys.
Speaker 2
Do you know what my six-year-old put on top of his list? This is amazing and also worries me a little. And this is the one that's from us.
A autographed poster for his room of Carl Anthony Town.
Speaker 1 Carl Anthony Town.
Speaker 2 What's wrong with that?
Speaker 2 I just like, not even
Speaker 2 Brunson.
Speaker 2 You don't even go like this star he almost won an og ananobi when i had to talk him out of that i'm like i don't know if that dude's gonna be on the team in two years so that's from mom and dad the carl anthony towns autographed uh poster of him doing a zesty pass yeah
Speaker 1 yeah it's the uh kale yeah that wouldn't be on my top 200 posters on walk in the nba but it's okay
Speaker 1 That's awesome, dude.
Speaker 1
I'm with you too. Yeah, all of ours come from Santa.
I'm like, so like
Speaker 1 the Nike dunks that I just got canon, they can't be from dad.
Speaker 2 The elf makes some dunks. Yeah.
Speaker 4
You know, I give my parents so much credit because I would be so mad. I'd be like, I spent all this time buying presents and I don't get a thank you.
Come on.
Speaker 2
So two last things before we begin. Number one, Annie, if you need another family game, I don't know how big your family is.
My wife's family is pretty big. I host a family feud.
Okay.
Speaker 2
We got the cards and I turn into Steve Harvey. That with a few drinks and some drunk old aunts and uncles is frigging hilarious.
We have done a version of that. Yeah, it's a good one.
Speaker 2 But the host has to really give it up. Whoever's being the Steve Harvey has to
Speaker 2
have energy. Like, give me Brie.
Give me Lauren. Let's go.
Like, bring him up. Can you buy a game?
Speaker 1 Is there a game?
Speaker 2
Family features? Yeah, they sell cards. Like, they sell like the questions, you know, the answers.
That's a good idea.
Speaker 4 That's a really good idea.
Speaker 2 And my last thought before we go into some trivia is you've shown some family competitiveness. And being that Matt is beating the brakes off me in trivia in Twisted T trivia so badly.
Speaker 2 And he's he's getting very like he's already over it. He knows he's good.
Speaker 2 You might in 2026, we might have to flip this because I'm out. Like, if this were the NFL, I'd be looking forward to the draft.
Speaker 2 I've been scouting.
Speaker 2 I'm scouting quarterbacks right now while Matt's trying to get healthy for a deep playoff run. So you might have to be the other playoff team that Matt runs into because it can't be.
Speaker 4 That'd be so fun.
Speaker 1 Listen, all people i'll go one-on-one versus annie
Speaker 4 might have to do it all right it's a lot more fun i'll tell you to do trivia when you know the answers that's what family that's
Speaker 2 that's what being the host of family feud is so fun when you know the answers and you're i'm gonna buy that game drunk uncle stumble through a question
Speaker 4 in my family the drunk uncle's me but you know
Speaker 2 okay should we get to some twisted trivia yes okay matt has we have christmas themed trivia i'm so excited for this one Christmas themed trivia.
Speaker 1 What does that mean? Sports?
Speaker 4 It's all, nope. It's all just
Speaker 4 mostly Christmas movies.
Speaker 2
Oh, okay. Okay.
So it's not sport related. Nope.
Okay. Nope.
Speaker 1
All right. This is your wheelhouse, Jerry.
Come on, buddy. You got this.
Speaker 4 Question number one. How many reindeer does Santa Claus have? If you have to sing the song, he's.
Speaker 4 Wait, no, I can't even sing.
Speaker 2 Nine.
Speaker 4
Yes. Yes.
Wow. Good math.
Speaker 4 Quick map. Okay.
Speaker 2 Jerry Menu.
Speaker 2
Can you name them all? I could, yeah. But let's keep it rolling.
Let's keep it rolling.
Speaker 4
Okay. Number two.
What is the city that the Grinch overlooks?
Speaker 2 Whoville.
Speaker 4 Yep.
Speaker 2
Wow. Jerry.
Someone's putting in there Christmas time with the kids.
Speaker 1 I would have got that. I was a little slow on that, but yeah, we just watched that.
Speaker 2 Okay.
Speaker 4
Question number three: What makes Frosty the snowman come alive? Christmas magic. Nope.
Good guess, though. I technically,
Speaker 4 but it's not, but it's a specific thing.
Speaker 1 Give me my hints, please.
Speaker 4 It's an article of clothing.
Speaker 1 Oh, scarf.
Speaker 4 Nope.
Speaker 2 His hat. His hat.
Speaker 2 The magic is in the hat.
Speaker 4 I honestly forgot about that because it's, yeah, it's just like the hot hat.
Speaker 2 Quick three spot I dropped on him.
Speaker 1
Okay. You didn't get that right.
You didn't get that right.
Speaker 2 I don't get another guess when you went. I went for that.
Speaker 2 Oh, it's the hat. What? How many times does Matt guess? Then I guess, and then you're gonna get away.
Speaker 1 But you're gonna take that.
Speaker 4 I thought he got a point for that. We'll leave that.
Speaker 2 In the past, every single time the person's gotten a point for that.
Speaker 1
Yeah, you're fine. It's fine.
I mean, listen, dude, at this point, it's charity case.
Speaker 1 It's not.
Speaker 2
I mean, it's just the way we've always done it. No, it's fine.
You know what?
Speaker 4 This is actually so fitting because the Giants win meaningless games, Jerry.
Speaker 2 We're creeping closer to Annie putting me in one of her videos, which is my secret objective is getting in one of her videos.
Speaker 1 By the way, that's when you know you've made it. If you ever get, I've already asked her on the side.
Speaker 2 I'm like, I would be honored. If we're ever in the same city, you know, I am an actor.
Speaker 4 Absolutely.
Speaker 2 I could play Joe Shane or something for you. Yeah.
Speaker 4 Yeah.
Speaker 2
That would be hilarious. We're gambling.
Get out of the way. Finally, get him fired.
Speaker 4
Yeah. Okay.
Two pictures.
Speaker 2 Okay.
Speaker 4 Name these actor, the first one. Oh, man.
Speaker 2 Billy Bot Thornton. Yeah.
Speaker 4
Yes. That is correct.
Okay, picture number two.
Speaker 2
Tim Allen. Wow.
Jerry. Gonking him, bro.
Sweet. Gonking him.
Speaker 1 By the way, I intentionally didn't say anything on those last two, just letting you know.
Speaker 2 You would have beat me.
Speaker 1 You would have beaten me, but I didn't.
Speaker 2 You had no idea.
Speaker 1 Tim Allen and Santa Claus, and that's Bad Santa with Billy Bob Thornton.
Speaker 2 So, this is going to be a thing where when I do win now, Matt, you're going to
Speaker 2 let you win.
Speaker 1 No, I didn't let you win this one.
Speaker 2 And you know what has not happened one time since we've been doing Twisted Trivia, Annie? What's that?
Speaker 2 Shut out. A clean,
Speaker 2 as the kids say, B
Speaker 2 T A.
Speaker 2 That was a
Speaker 2 B, a belt to ass. A belt to ass.
Speaker 1 I've never seen someone who's getting their ass kicked so much, be so excited about winning one question to now, now it's 12, 4, and 1. Now it's 12, 4, and 1.
Speaker 2 That helps with the overall lead, too. And that's like that.
Speaker 4 That's like the Chargers player when they were getting killed by 63 to the Raiders and he did the first down thing.
Speaker 2 That was crazy.
Speaker 2 Amazing.
Speaker 2 Thank you very much, Annie. Seriously, in 2026, I think you got that we have to do a
Speaker 2 reverse.
Speaker 4 I would be, I think we should.
Speaker 2 And start the standings over. Merry Christmas.
Speaker 1 But what are you looking forward to most in 2026, Annie?
Speaker 2 Ooh.
Speaker 4
Could be. Well, hopefully Green Bay season will still be going on then.
Hopefully a
Speaker 1 Green Bays Packers Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 I would hope so. I don't know if it's possible now, but that's what I'm hoping for.
Speaker 2 It's still possible.
Speaker 4
It's just so close. Like when your team is that close, oh, it's just hard not to think about Super Bowl.
That's where I am. That's where my, I'm not, nothing personal.
Nope, just the green battalions.
Speaker 2
Nothing personal. Good.
We gotta get Matt. Matt, like, if you had to root for an NFL team, if someone came to you and was like, listen, or you just have this conversation.
Speaker 2
Buddy, you gotta pick someone. Like, me with college football.
We have to, like, who would you realistically be okay with rooting?
Speaker 1 It's got to be the Rams or the Chargers because the local people.
Speaker 1 But you said you enjoyed your time with you because my kid because my boys are getting into it that's why yeah because they're like the home chargers and like case and plate on the flat i was gonna ask
Speaker 1 kids yeah they will listen it's like you they will listen to whatever i say so if i'm like hey we're rooting for the texans they're gonna love the texans at this age but i just don't i don't i don't care i don't like i don't really care that much
Speaker 1 like i i like i love stat i love the rams i like harbauz like like lives here i see like they're all like i don't know I just feel like it's.
Speaker 2 I feel like you're going to end up with Chargers if you had to pick. I feel like of the LA teams, it would be the Chargers.
Speaker 1 I have a special guest. Come here.
Speaker 2 Special guest. Let's go.
Speaker 1
My wife. Oh, my gosh.
Hi. Great.
Hold on. I want you guys to ask her.
Speaker 2 I want, real quick, sit in my lap.
Speaker 1 I'm like Santa.
Speaker 1 About the gifts, the wrapping, the gifts.
Speaker 1 And everyone is from Santa, but we all agree that at least one should be from mom and dad no
Speaker 4 hi joe you don't want to thank you at all you just have the kids it's all from santa
Speaker 1 yes that's annie by the way you guys don't know of course i know yeah
Speaker 7 we have we've met that's so rude
Speaker 7 um
Speaker 7 yeah well okay so two things that i grew up with i grew up no presents from parents it was all from santa so for us santa was like
Speaker 7 oh matt's telling me not to talk to The kids, the kids are probably
Speaker 2 the kids or.
Speaker 2 Okay, so it was always from
Speaker 2 the man in the chimney.
Speaker 4 Yeah.
Speaker 7 So we thought he was, I mean, just the greatest thing ever of all time. And then the second thing was that none of our gifts from Santa, which were all the gifts, were never wrapped.
Speaker 7 So I have compromised
Speaker 7 on terrible. No, well, because everything was displayed.
Speaker 2 It was the thought process behind it.
Speaker 7 Yeah, because everything was displayed. So for example, if I asked for a dollhouse, like, how sucky is it to open a box and you're like, well, okay, I can't play with this.
Speaker 4 Put a dollhouse together. Yeah.
Speaker 7 But how magical to come downstairs and like all of a sudden, there's like a dollhouse. Or for, you know, our boys, Jerry, it's like race car track is like ready to go.
Speaker 2 And like,
Speaker 7 you know, the kitchen when they were two, the kitchen was all set and like ready to play with.
Speaker 2 That's interesting. Yeah.
Speaker 7
So I've compromised in that some gifts that are not displayable, we wrap those. And then the displayable gifts, we don't wrap.
We build and we make and blah, blah, blah.
Speaker 7 Which, speaking of which, he's done none of yet. You have a lot to discuss.
Speaker 2 Come on, Matt.
Speaker 4 I know. Christmas for parents is no,
Speaker 4 it's no walk in the park. You guys put in work.
Speaker 7 I am exhausted.
Speaker 7 And like the week hasn't even begun. And I am exhausted.
Speaker 7 I have.
Speaker 4 See, I told you, drunk uncle, I just sit around drink mimosas all day.
Speaker 2 But Josie, let me ask you.
Speaker 2 Let me ask you guys. Wait, Jerry's asking me a question.
Speaker 7 One quick thing and I'll let you go.
Speaker 2 I have volunteered because like, I only
Speaker 2 weigh in on, like, of course, like what the boys want, especially when it's sports-related. But Brie pretty much takes everything on, and she had very magical Christmases as well.
Speaker 2
Like, her dad used to video on a giant camcorder, hours of present, all that. I did not have magical Christmases.
My mom stopped putting up a Christmas story when I was like 11. I can't hear you.
Speaker 2 My question for you: I volunteered to like, hey, do you want me to rap some stuff?
Speaker 2 I'm not a great rapper.
Speaker 2 I'm just going to say, or do you want me to get that thing for your mom like a even like a gift and it's just a hard no like stay out of the way, but then in the same breath I get a little of the how light my plate is during Christmas even though I offered to pull my weight so I don't really know how to navigate that with an eight and a half month pregnant woman right now because I've offered to take stuff off her plate and she said no, but then I have to hear about
Speaker 2 the fact that I am not really doing a whole lot this year.
Speaker 7 So what's the question, Jerry? Because it just
Speaker 2 what does a guy to do? What do I do? Do I just stay out of the way and let her complain? Or do I take initiative and go wrap a gift?
Speaker 7 Don't take initiative.
Speaker 7
I think that you should just make your asks very clear. And you always start being sympathetic of where she is.
Brie, you are pregnant. You are doing the most.
Speaker 7
My goodness, we are the luckiest to have you. And you are all the things, Mr.
Claus, Mrs. Claus, the elves.
Like we couldn't ask for better.
Speaker 7 Is there something that I can do for you to make your plate a little lighter this time of year i need josie to be my therapist that's the best christmas gift i've gotten
Speaker 4 that was great and then get her a date at the spot okay love you guys
Speaker 4 I would have given the worst advice. That was great advice.
Speaker 2 Matt, you start putting stuff together for that.
Speaker 1 I was about to say, I feel like that was a shot at me.
Speaker 2
You let her get the Christmas that she deserves along with your beautiful family. All right.
Well, Annie, enjoy.
Speaker 2 Everyone, enjoy out there. We will be back with the New Year's kind of,
Speaker 2 you know, 2026 episode week following, but stay safe out there and Merry Christmas.
Speaker 4 Merry Christmas.
