If you look at what's there, there's pre-registration. My guess is they will probably go out this year because it just like takes yeah, they have to.
I see they have to.
Speaker 1 They were also at GamesCon last year, so my guess is that they're just too allegedly interesting.
Speaker 1 Interesting thing, by the way, which I'm think could be very
Speaker 1
very why are we even talking about it? Is because just look at the friend invitation rewards. There's some currency, whatever, doesn't matter.
Safekeep tickets,
Speaker 1 Safekeep.

Speaker 1 And we are your hosts. Our half gamer is again the Christmas tree in the background.
Speaker 1 So
Speaker 1
welcome, Mr. Christmas tree from the background.
By the way, it's a fake background still. So
Speaker 1 today we are talking about because
Speaker 1
there was a huge, huge, huge success when we talked about the path of Exile 2. So we again we are talking about another PC game which is dark and darker.
Which is also a mobile game actually.
Speaker 1
It's a mobile game. We saw Dark and Darker Mobile in South Korea, in Busan.
It was, I wanted to say last year, but it was actually two years ago because we are in 2025.
Speaker 1 And then pretty big bullet games come on.
Speaker 1 Okay, well, we weren't there. So anyway.
Speaker 1 So
Speaker 1 we don't know. Anyway, but
Speaker 1 before we go there, check, I mean, hear this.

Speaker 1 It's gonna be in the show notes. See how they can help you grow smarter.
Speaker 1 And thank you very much. Let's get back to the episode.
Speaker 1 What was it about? Don't get the mortgage, you got this.
Speaker 1 Ah,
Speaker 1 Yes. There we go.
Speaker 1 There we go.
Speaker 1 Yeah, don't get the mortgage.
Speaker 1 Not selling your soul and get the money to grow your game.
Speaker 1 So
Speaker 1 let's go back to the dark and dark, actually. Dark and darker.
Speaker 1 Oh, dark and darker. Sorry, dark and darker.
Speaker 1 Yeah. So what are we talking about today?
Speaker 1 Let me actually kill off the
Speaker 1 music which I keep hearing all the time here.
Speaker 1 Yeah, there we go. Or because you have two millions of tabs? Yeah, because I have millions of games open.
Speaker 1 Okay.
Speaker 1 So
Speaker 1 just to kind of get our started, so Dark and Darker
Speaker 1 is actually this kind of a super, super specific game.
Speaker 1 Which a lot of people are actually chasing off because it's an extraction game.
Speaker 1 So
Speaker 1 again, we'll go through some mechanics and some stuff. And
Speaker 1 you can actually play.
Speaker 1 Or it's hard to play.
Speaker 1 It's not that hard to play. We can play.
Speaker 1 Oh, there is no one to play with.
Speaker 1
No, no, no, no, no. You can go solo.
That's not a problem.
Speaker 1 But
Speaker 1 yeah, maybe let's go the other way around this time. So rather me talking about specific numbers and whatever, let's just play and I'll show you.
Speaker 1 So we'll go to.
Speaker 1 Yeah, we'll go to Goblin Caves.
Speaker 1 We won't go to High Roller.
Speaker 1 I'll
Speaker 1 explain what they mean later. Yeah, okay.
Speaker 1 We go to Goblin Caves. We go with our basic gear
Speaker 1
which we have equipped. There we go.
Thank you, Mr. Squire.
Speaker 1 And then, yeah, I guess we go there with just some kind of very basic
Speaker 1 basic kind of a fighter setup, which is like one of the best classes here.
Speaker 1 Base or best?
Speaker 1 Base.
Speaker 1 Base. Okay.
Speaker 1 Definitely not best.
Speaker 1 So
Speaker 1 the game is pretty dark, as you can see. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 I was like, what a second, I don't see shit.
Speaker 1
I mean, you're pretty dark as well. Yeah, you're pretty dark as well.
Now I can see your face, but that's only because you just slid in. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 So, yeah,
Speaker 1 the name is literally taken into account here, where it's pretty dark and not even in in other places, like doesn't need to be like indoors dungeons, even the like the forgotten ruins and what what what not like the other environments they have there.
Speaker 1 They're they're pretty dark. Uh so what happens here is uh a little bit of uh oh there we go.
Speaker 1 Hello, Mr. Mummy.
Speaker 1 Okay, get you down
Speaker 1
killed it this bastard. Okay.
Oh, Jesus Christ. This is not the game for me and I already downloaded the game.
Speaker 1 There I go.
Speaker 1
Um, so yeah, loot is diamond. That's great.
Uh, that's one of the main thing here. Um, so it's an extraction game.
Speaker 1 So, extraction games, what it means is that you go into environment something similar to like PUBG Battle Royale, where you spawn with pretty much your base gear, nothing, and then along the way, you f you found different weapons, consumables, gear, whatever, pretty much you take stuff and loot.
Speaker 1 If you get killed during the run, you lose everything.
Speaker 1
So goodbye to your gear and XP, whatever you just got it. There we go.
But if you made it out, as you see on the map, there's like a blue point of stairs somewhere there on the left.
Speaker 1
If I made it out, I can go there. I have 13 minutes.
That's like the time ticking there on the bottom.
Speaker 1 Until the dungeon collapses.
Speaker 1
Then I keep it and I pretty much can do whatever I want with it later down the line. So the gear will be pretty easy.
Extracted. Yeah, sounds easy until you get killed.
Speaker 1 By not only monsters, but also other players.
Speaker 1
Because this is a very specific. Oh, there we go.
Or traps.
Speaker 1 This is a very specific game. What's that? Spiders.
Speaker 1 There we go.
Speaker 1 This is a very specific game because it's PVPVE.
Speaker 1 Which means that you're not only fighting, as you've seen, traps, monsters, zombies, and other NPCs, you're also fighting other players
Speaker 1 against the trap chase down against me.
Speaker 1 Yeah, so let's get the bandage actually.
Speaker 1 Because our health is kind of going down here.
Speaker 1 So, survival is one of the main mechanics of the game, of course. You need to really check your health and stuff.
Speaker 1 So, this thing.
Speaker 1
I can, in this dungeon, encounter also other players. That's just basically random that can happen.
So if we found someone, they can kill us, we can take their gear, or we can just move away.
Speaker 1
Don't kind of need to. Just run.
Yeah, yeah, just run.
Speaker 1
So there's a lot of chests. By the way, chests can turn into mimics for those of the know dungeons and dragons.
Pretty much chest starts hopping and eating you.
Speaker 1
Oh, nice. Something like the ones that you've seen in Harry Potter.
But it's as I said, it's more from Dungeons and Dragons. So we found some an upgrade of boots.
Speaker 1 Let's get some light to actually see what's here.
Speaker 1 It's also very sound
Speaker 1
heavy. Or let's say you need to turn on your sound because otherwise, you don't know what's happening.
I mean, gobbling guy. You see, like you see, basically, shit.
Speaker 1 There we go, an arrow into our face.
Speaker 1 I can't see anything, man.
Speaker 1
Yeah, I know. We're nearly dead.
Yeah, okay, bye. Bye.
Speaker 1
It's not, yeah. So, this is gonna be great.
And we died. And you died.
Okay, great.
Speaker 1 I mean,
Speaker 1 I don't really know how I'm gonna play this on my mobile phone.
Speaker 1 Yeah, that's the point. See, so, for instance, there's some other player in the dungeon that we are spectating currently.
Speaker 1 Maybe we can
Speaker 1
talk. By the way, that's better.
That's amazing. Way better.
Exactly. Yeah,
Speaker 1 exactly. It's way better because now you can actually talk.
Speaker 1 Because we actually died already. Yeah.
Speaker 1 That's
Speaker 1
Yeah. So there are many classes in the game.
Each of them have a lot of perks. I'll show you around.
It's like the combat is really, really
Speaker 1 well
Speaker 1 balanced and detailed in a way that there's like casting classes. You see, this is some kind of sorcerer or mage.
Speaker 1 Then there are a lot of melee classes, range classes, whatever, and a lot of perks.
Speaker 1 It takes a lot of mastery to actually even learn the game.
Speaker 1 There are these different types of dungeons that you can go into.
Speaker 1 I think they have three or four now and they can be selected before into like base versions, which is the one we ended up with, or the high roller ones, which means you can expect very very strong enemies and very very strong players also there.
Speaker 1 That's pretty much the end game.
Speaker 1 Yeah, again, very strong glute, like unique weapons and stuff like that. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Speaker 1 Yeah, and you just go go in you need to survive and extract basically and that's it so let me go to the lobby to show you how this works actually
Speaker 1 so
Speaker 1 yeah I extracted a lot of times already so let's say I amassed a lot of root here which I can go and I can use for my next runs let's say i can go much better prepared and stuff like that or i can go here and sell it with merchants for instance let's go to
Speaker 1 and let's sell whatever this thing for 24 gold
Speaker 1 or
Speaker 1 whatever this thing
Speaker 1 for some gold or this thing which he doesn't want. Okay,
Speaker 1 why not?
Speaker 1
Okay, whatever. Make a deal.
There we go. So that's how you get gold.
What do you do with gold? That's that's the oh, quests. What we did? Complete exploit water.
Speaker 1 Yeah, just die by the hand of goblin.
Speaker 1 Yeah, that's the thing. Like, people ask, like,
Speaker 1 I was actually researching this online. Like, what do you actually do with the loot that you sell or like with the gold itself?
Speaker 1
And, like, the main answer is, like, you buy gear from merchants to kind of go into dungeons and get more gear. Yeah.
Okay, the influence gear,
Speaker 1 gear simulation. Yeah.
Speaker 1 So, what you can do regarding progression is that you can buy one more staff space.
Speaker 1 and where where we where we did we see that we see that yeah not not that long time ago actually so so you can do this and then you can um i think uh
Speaker 1 like one more thing yeah you can go and complete quests or where are the quests so each of these merchants give you quests which increases the affinity to them which can give you more uh like they can have better inventories or stuff like that i don't know but basically what you do is like you collect stuff in your stash and you buy more loot so you can get more loot so you can get for instance here into these high roller dungeons that you see here like the Girscore.
Speaker 1
Let's say that this one like 225 which is like everything so hard. So you can't walk in there with like basic gear.
You need to have good gear to begin with. The one that you extract
Speaker 1 in order to kind of go there and extract more blah blah blah. So on so forth.
Speaker 1 So that's there. But one really good thing that they added recently, which kind of breaks a little bit this extraction formula, which is kind of very unforgiving, is the arena.
Speaker 1 So even though it's currently closed, but it's open in a few hours, basically. In a few hours, yeah.
Speaker 1 It says experimental as well. Yeah, because it's experimental in a way that if you go there and if you have gear
Speaker 1 that you find found in other dungeons, like for instance this one, you see on the bottom, found by me, basically, found by my character.
Speaker 1 You won't lose it if you die there.
Speaker 1 So, you can actually build up your arena gear that you find in the dungeons, and then take it to arena and go into 3v3 battles where it's seven rounds.
Speaker 1 And if you manage to win three, you win, something like that.
Speaker 1
And yeah, that's it. And there's leaderboard ranking and stuff like that.
Also, there's an adventure system
Speaker 1 for the high roller dungeons. If you go to high-roller dungeons, you get these points.
Speaker 1 That if you
Speaker 1
basically loot some stuff, you get points for that. And again, you get on the ranking here.
So that's there. There are some cosmetic rewards
Speaker 1 which you can get by, let's say, for instance, here's some example, all the old ones from like different dungeons and stuff like that.
Speaker 1 So
Speaker 1 yeah, there's some kind of progression, but in my opinion, the progression is a little bit lacking, that there's no that much kind of permanent stuff that you can upgrade in the in the meantime like i i know you need to lose everything and like this whole like extraction loop that that needs to happen but this is very similar to something like escape from tarkov and people are comparing this and escape of tarkov has this kind of hideout mechanic that you slowly kind of build up and you know you have something that you can do in the meantime uh for instance you can see it here like let's say this would be my hideout so i can decorate it or whatever something this is not there yeah but
Speaker 1 I guess by the inclusion of the arena system, they will actually get to some kind of a progression on top of the main progression.
Speaker 1 The other thing that you can do, by the way, with the items, and this is very important now, and we'll get to the business model of it, is you can go to trade and become a trader.
Speaker 1 But basically, what this does is that it gives you unlocks the functionality of an auction house.
Speaker 1 And very important thing:
Speaker 1
The base game is free, which we see on the left side. Access only to normal dungeons, not the high-roller dungeons, the big ones.
Only one character slot. Can buy items from the marketplace.
Speaker 1 Default stash, no shared stash between characters, and gain tramples.
Speaker 1 Exactly.
Speaker 1 Exactly like that.
Speaker 1 It's very, very similar monetization to pen of Excel.
Speaker 1 So what these guys have is if you, the game is free free to play now, and if you buy the $30 legendary status, you get access to higher dungeons and the arena.
Speaker 1 You get eight additional character slots, you can go and sell items on the mac instead of just buying them, which is exactly what Pedov Excel does. Exactly, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 More shared stash, which is more utility, more convenience,
Speaker 1 and a little bit of speed up on the Strump currency, which is, as I said, somewhere here, which I would guess is something in similarity to their battle pass system because new season, new rewards, new cosmetics, that's it.
Speaker 1 Basically, you can buy these things for real money directly, but uh, yeah, you you as you extract, you get like more of these like stones.
Speaker 1 So, you see, I can buy these even if I don't buy anything else. So, yeah, this is like already happening.
Speaker 1 What I said, like the podcast ago, that basically people are gonna try to utilize and iterate on Pedov Excel pay for convenience system in a free-to-play game. So we have this exact thing right here.
Speaker 1 Yeah, and it seems it's working pretty well.
Speaker 1 Well, based on what?
Speaker 1 Based on them still being alive as a very independent team after
Speaker 1 the
Speaker 1 next one.
Speaker 1 Yeah, we said now the baseline.
Speaker 1 We are alive, so that's a good thing.
Speaker 1
That's a good thing. Usually, studios die pretty fast.
is that bar now okay good um if we go to steam numbers uh
Speaker 1 i think that's what we want yeah yeah again keep in mind that this doesn't need to go through steam uh because i'm again playing the native client so they were yeah i am uh oh actually i'm playing epic client no yeah exactly
Speaker 1 yeah you sent you sent me the epic uh yeah yeah it doesn't
Speaker 1 but you can you can you can offer whatever was. As you see in the website, so they
Speaker 1 have
Speaker 1 where we are.
Speaker 1
You can go on the website and just download the launcher here. Yeah.
As you see, so you can go there and just purchase right there.
Speaker 1
It will actually pop up into Excel web shop. So that's there.
There you go. Nice.
Yeah, nice.
Speaker 1 Exactly. So the current Steam CCU for today is something like 15K.
Speaker 1 Keep in mind the game was delisted out of Steam because of the whole controversy. At some point they had like, like you see here,
Speaker 1 if we go to all like fifty seven K. But my guess is if this is fifteen K
Speaker 1 there was a little bit of a pump after the Christmas because of the Epic Star promotion when they were giving for for free legendary status.
Speaker 1 So I would expect something like another 10k there and probably something like
Speaker 1 one
Speaker 1 times more like their native client. So I would expect something like 50k
Speaker 1 currently for this game, which is still
Speaker 1 pretty good.
Speaker 1 The important part, and why are we talking about this, is the mobile game.
Speaker 1 Because
Speaker 1 we already saw this in November 2023. 2023, yeah, 2023.
Speaker 1 Last year, two years ago, actually, in Busan.
Speaker 1
That's what I said. That's what I said at the very beginning.
It's like, yeah, I wanted to say last year, but then it was actually 2023 in November. Exactly.
That
Speaker 1
booth was huge. It was one of the biggest booths on the world.
So many people there.
Speaker 1 And we wanted to get into the beta, but well,
Speaker 1 they are not that friendly as our friends from Supercell. So
Speaker 1
let's put it that way. This is now under Krafton.
So pretty big, big publisher behind them. So they're definitely not kind of
Speaker 1 some random indie studio now.
Speaker 1
If you look at what's there, there's pre-registration. My guess is they will probably go out this year because it just like takes yeah they have to identify.
Yeah they have to.
Speaker 1 They were also at GamesCon last year so my guess is they're just
Speaker 1 allegedly.
Speaker 1 Interesting thing by the way which I think could be very very why are we even talking about it is because just look at the friend invitation rewards. There's some currency, whatever, doesn't matter.
Speaker 1 Safekeep tickets.
Speaker 1 Safekeep tickets prevent you from losing items if you die.
Speaker 1 So, which means
Speaker 1 happen in a way that the mobile game will actually monetize the fear mechanic.
Speaker 1 Meaning that you like similarly, like you know, Lineage did the same on mobile, where you could buy literally insurances again the destruction of your gear through enchantments.
Speaker 1 So, if you're enchanting
Speaker 1
about the crow game. What was it name? Yeah, they had a song.
So Night Cross.
Speaker 1 Yeah, they had a song. It's like very popular in Asia.
Speaker 1 And I guess they can do the same thing here where
Speaker 1 you would be able to sell on mobile version of the game the consumable that would actually break the extraction loop or mean monetize it in a way that if you die then you have this ticket, you keep your gear.
Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean
Speaker 1 at least the one that you brought in, not the one that you have taken out. That's how I would imagine it would work.
Speaker 1 The other way around would be two OP.
Speaker 1 Yeah.
Speaker 1
I mean two OP, but you know, it's that would just sell like crazy. Yeah.
So
Speaker 1 it's very interesting if they stick with it and we definitely return it like once this kind of kicks in on mobile because yeah, on mobile it actually doesn't look that bad. Like you would expect this
Speaker 1
because you know it's very dark, which like shit. It is like shit on mobile.
But if you look at it on mobile, it's actually not from first person, it's from third person.
Speaker 1 I mean, and it looks pretty okay, and you see that there are some like big differences. As you see, that like there was this kind of
Speaker 1 dark,
Speaker 1 yeah, yeah, not the dark. You see the red part there, so they're taking completely the battle royale mechanic there, like this, you know, the typical G thing, yeah, the zone.
Speaker 1 So, no more
Speaker 1 kind of a you roaring around the dungeon that runs out of timer, it's literally like your zone based to the middle uh
Speaker 1 regarding the gameplay itself uh it's still a lot of skills and you see it's pretty core just by like looking at the mechanics and like all the
Speaker 1 but it needs to stay like this my guess is it will be driven by asia mainly anyway i mean you're you you're checking south korean video uh no no no this is european video actually
Speaker 1 I mean, with absolutely South Korean,
Speaker 1 there was something South Korean in there. It could be
Speaker 1 a player, a player, a player killing somebody.
Speaker 1 But this is a video from actually a pedo exile streamer.
Speaker 1 But you see there, it's rather bright. So it's
Speaker 1 bright and brighter rather than dark and darker.
Speaker 1 But regarding the gameplay itself, it looks kinda like the mechanics and everything looks very similar.
Speaker 1 The only thing, as I said, is this kind of zone thing, third-party thing, and
Speaker 1 just you moving around the the arena in a little bit different manner but i would say this could play pretty well because it's super unique i don't think so we have something very similar like this on mobile and uh yeah there's a pretty big name behind it but as i said i would still expect this to be driven mainly by asia oh yeah we see we see because the theme and everything like these kind of dark soulish kind of hard games are very trendy these days
Speaker 1 they are trendy but what kind of audience is this gonna be is I don't think like a young audience is gonna play this like young like fortnight ish
Speaker 1 fortnight ish definitely not it's it's I guess more of a it's our age basically yeah yeah yeah yeah in thirty five plus
Speaker 1 yeah yeah
Speaker 1 it's so
Speaker 1 yeah w we'll we we'll see like my my guess is that uh
Speaker 1 when this comes out uh
Speaker 1 it will be rather like a big bum because this game is definitely like super super hyped around around the internet I think currently so as hyped as part of exile 2
Speaker 1 not not that much so
Speaker 1 there is a little bit of
Speaker 1 chatter around darker darker mobile for sure because in my opinion like if I understand correctly is like one of the most successful extraction games currently
Speaker 1 50k CCU, seriously,
Speaker 1 it's just uh
Speaker 1 my guess, not actually what the numbers are. Okay,
Speaker 1 I don't know if this has a console client, but my guess is it would have
Speaker 1 still
Speaker 1 we'll see, yeah, okay, yeah.
Speaker 1 I'm wondering, like, what would be the marketing spin on this
Speaker 1 organization
Speaker 1 and stuff?
Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean, you can you can do quite a lot of crazy shit here, but would anyone care actually if there is like shit? I mean,
Speaker 1 I can see the let's call it mass battles, like you're trying to fight hordes of enemies in there.
Speaker 1 I can see that happening.
Speaker 1
I mean, that's just universal across all the all the different male-oriented games. It's definitely easy.
Keep in mind that by the looks of it, like if I
Speaker 1 like if I just go into the game once again and we don't get killed immediately,
Speaker 1 Where we are
Speaker 1 The game actually resembles
Speaker 1 What what's the what's the problem? Ah yeah, we didn't didn't take out stuff out of it. So the game actually resembles Skyrim
Speaker 1 Yeah, you know what I mean. I know yeah true
Speaker 1 And I'm not a very big fan of Skyrim either but Skyrim is very very popular. It is it is that's true and that's by the way, what people are kind of comparing this when talking about this.
Speaker 1 That is kind of a
Speaker 1 this kind of hardcore version of Skyrim. Because it definitely looks like it, just by looking at it.
Speaker 1 Yeah, fair enough.
Speaker 1 Still,
Speaker 1 let's get killed one more time, and maybe I can talk a little bit about the class system. And then let's see.
Speaker 1 Maybe.
Speaker 1 Class system, maybe.
Speaker 1 Yeah, the good thing is that it's it's one of those as similar to PUBG, you know, things where
Speaker 1 just the thrill of it is so important because you can die at any moment, you can lose everything.
Speaker 1 This gets more and more tense the more stuff you loot, which you know it's valuable and it's laying down in your inventory, so on and so forth.
Speaker 1 So we don't really have that many games that utilize this acting.
Speaker 1 So, yeah, okay, let's see.
Speaker 1 But
Speaker 1 I guess we're looking at black screen, al almost black screen.
Speaker 1 A lot of spiders and bats
Speaker 1 that I I don't know what they're doing.
Speaker 1 Actually bat that is attacking me. Jesus Christ, I don't see anything yet.
Speaker 1 Four spiders. Okay.
Speaker 1
I think this is gonna be a very quick um game again, which is fine. No, no, that's okay.
Giant bat, we killed him.
Speaker 1 Nice.
Speaker 1 It would be great if I could have some kinda of like radius or whatever stuff.
Speaker 1 Stuff around me. I can hear against spiders.
Speaker 1 There we go. Yeah, but um
Speaker 1 stuff's super hard here. It is.
Speaker 1 Especially in the dark.
Speaker 1
See, you can even fall throughout the like floor. Yeah, that's what I that's what I would do.
That's what I would usually do. I need to drink potions.
There we go.
Speaker 1 Yeah, let me get to the exit kind of very fast, so maybe I can just finish one game.
Speaker 1 Or maybe not.
Speaker 1 Maybe not.
Speaker 1 This is what I would definitely fail.
Speaker 1
I don't really know. It's just hard.
It's very hard. Like,
Speaker 1 I can see.
Speaker 1 Not that easy.
Speaker 1 You're gonna die because is oh epic so there you go oh see now now now i have epic stuff on me i don't want to die yeah now now yeah now you you need to yeah oh there's the guy there's another
Speaker 1 guy that's it's not gonna be a problem the problem is gonna be the other guy it's gonna step in the way
Speaker 1 okay so so you just loot this but you don't you can't actually wear this
Speaker 1 no no because it was from different class it was for warlord
Speaker 1 yeah okay
Speaker 1
but i can sell it on the auction house if I want. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Of course, if I make it out of this dungeon alive, yeah, that's well. I'm cheering for you, man.
I'm cheering for you.
Speaker 1 That's the release.
Speaker 1 Doesn't really sound like that usually, but I do.
Speaker 1 There we go.
Speaker 1 Kill some guys there.
Speaker 1 Oh, I see an exit. See an exit on the map.
Speaker 1 Boots, more move speed. Definitely was something that we want.
Speaker 1
Let's put this guy. Oh, there we go.
That's even better. More armor rating.
Speaker 1 Is this a proper armor? Not like in part of Exile 2?
Speaker 1 Let's say this is kind of proper armor.
Speaker 1 Ooh.
Speaker 1
Goblin with the sling. Yeah, I see.
Kill the guy.
Speaker 1 That's great.
Speaker 1
Forget about the loot, just go straight to the exit. I know.
I just need to fight.
Speaker 1 See?
Speaker 1 I can open the door if somebody's shooting at me. Nah, you could.
Speaker 1 Oh, there's like the
Speaker 1 red goblin.
Speaker 1 Oh man, it's gonna be so much fun if yeah, if if if you die when you open the door, it would be so much fun.
Speaker 1 There's a trap here somewhere. Uh and we r run out of potions anyway.
Speaker 1 Exit, exit.
Speaker 1 One more goblin and we're good to go.
Speaker 1 Are you sure? Are there any other players that could potentially kill you? Or can you just run away?
Speaker 1 There we go.
Speaker 1 Did you make it? Yeah, yeah, I did.
Speaker 1 Oh, my God. It was so
Speaker 1 close.
Speaker 1
So close. Yeah, we have the thing.
There we are. Nice, nice.
That was so close.
Speaker 1
Oh my god. Where's my popcorn? Jeez.
That's
Speaker 1 it. That's right.
Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1
And I s that would be me all the time. Like, oh, one one second, one more second, and then I will step.
I'll make it. Yeah, one more step.
I'll make it dice
Speaker 1 in front of the stairs.
Speaker 1 That is amazing.
Speaker 1 So that's great. But yeah, looking at the
Speaker 1 class here.
Speaker 1 Looking at our class, actually we unlog a new perk here, which I can now use, which is again selected here.
Speaker 1 And just check like how many perks and how many skills each class has, which by the way, I still didn't use, which is the second wind one. And also the string one.
Speaker 1 I just need to kind of learn all about all these things.
Speaker 1 The class itemization is like
Speaker 1 very, very good. And for instance, now, because I have this epic
Speaker 1 shadowhood or whatever,
Speaker 1 I can go and
Speaker 1 go back to the
Speaker 1 skill class selection and where we are
Speaker 1 and actually select the new class and check out whatever was there, the Warlock or the main shot.
Speaker 1 Yeah, somebody else. How does this work? How does this work?
Speaker 1 The classes and everything.
Speaker 1 You go into
Speaker 1 which I forgot completely class change. Here we go.
Speaker 1 Yeah, so let's say create a new character and you go you need to create a new character, okay.
Speaker 1 You need to create a new character, so you just have a wizard, you have a warlock, which we just got uh stuff for,
Speaker 1 there's the sorcerer, which is work in progress, literally written there.
Speaker 1 So yeah, like ten classes already, so it's not that bad. Some of those are kind of super super good, I heard like the druid one, which like goes into rat and you never strike him because it's like
Speaker 1 super small. It's a rat.
Speaker 1 Bites your legs off. So
Speaker 1
stuff like that. Barbarian, this guy, this guy can literally bash through the doors.
You don't need to unlock doors. You just like bash through them.
Okay.
Speaker 1 Nice.
Speaker 1 Speed is very important in this game. It's very important.
Speaker 1
I literally saw people just running away from me. We just couldn't catch them.
That's it. Yeah.
Speaker 1 The range is
Speaker 1
same here. Like you just can't catch him.
That's it. Play straps.
So
Speaker 1 very, very interesting setup that they have here. There is a class which is called use and bolt.
Speaker 1 You just run through the whole the whole map.
Speaker 1 Movement speed is like, as I said, super, super important.
Speaker 1 Yeah, so we'll definitely keep an eye on this,
Speaker 1 like how it kind of evolves, not only the PC game, but mainly the mobile game, because I'm super stoked how they're gonna,
Speaker 1 for one thing, adapt their monetization
Speaker 1 to the like gear extraction mechanic, which could be very, very profitable if they try to monetize the gear here.
Speaker 1 And then the other thing is that
Speaker 1 like all of these other,
Speaker 1 let's say, things that you have,
Speaker 1 you know, for instance, this is the guy that gives you the basic gear. This is for free each time going to the
Speaker 1
dungeon. Most of the time, what you want is like more healing, more bands.
Is he giving you something for free?
Speaker 1 The base stuff is for free. So, if you die, let's say, let's say, equip base gear, what I have here.
Speaker 1 So,
Speaker 1 like two bandages, two potions, two whatever, like all these kind of base gear, it will be based there, and you can take it every time you want.
Speaker 1 If you die, you can go here and you always start from scratch. But as I said, this is definitely not
Speaker 1 not
Speaker 1 optimal way to kind of go into these high-level areas, the high-relevel dungeons, which are like score, whatever, 200, and like you go there, and yeah, goodbye to your base gear because you'll just like steamrolled over, not even by the monsters, but also by the players.
Speaker 1 So
Speaker 1 I can even go there, you need to be level 20, just to get there.
Speaker 1 Not there yet.
Speaker 1
So you get experience by actually extracting. So being able to kind of open chest, bring loot, kill monsters, and stuff like that.
You see, I'm level 10 at the start of this. I was something level 7.
Speaker 1 And you know who got experience as well?
Speaker 1 Our friends from supersonic our friends from supersonic because you know we have all the exciting stuff that uh we want to talk about
Speaker 1 because there's still the supersonic competition which is they're hosting it until the january 30 so you know uh if uh you're looking for the next hybrid hit it's the competition is called super hybrid so these guys have really strong team of publishing experts game designers and the game economy specialists who can help take your game from hybrid to hybrid business.
Speaker 1 You know, we partnered with Supersonic.
Speaker 1 That's why we're talking about the Super Hybrid competition, offering full support from the team as well as some pretty great incentives for eligible games.
Speaker 1 That's why, when you said profitable and something getting for something for free, you know, they're kind of offering 10k monthly while you iterate and $30,000 in bonuses when your game hits the milestones and it's not recoupable.
Speaker 1 So, even
Speaker 1
they even have a special financial package for live games that are ready to scale. So, you know, again, you got until January the 30th to enter, send in the game.
You have Super Sonic.
Speaker 1 You could be the next Super Hybrid hero.
Speaker 1 So it's yeah, superhybrid.com or just scan the QR code on the screen right right away. So thank you very much, Super Sonic, for sponsoring this episode as well.
Speaker 1 So say and Agui, you can continue, I hope
Speaker 1 I think we're pretty much done here.
Speaker 1 Nice, yeah.
Speaker 1 Yeah, as I said, like it will be very interesting to see like how this kinda goes up, and it will also be a nice data point to my
Speaker 1 free to play, pay for convenience data set, which is very small and this game seems to be definitely going that path. And my guess is it will be like that, and once it goes free to play,
Speaker 1 it should be on mobile version.
Speaker 1 Yeah, I'm really looking forward to the mobile version because
Speaker 1 you'll be brighter. It will be brighter, yeah.
Speaker 1
It'll be brighter, and I can wait to play it on emulator instead of mobile. Oh, yeah, exactly.
Oh, fucking hell. Yeah, no, I want to play it on the on my on my PC anyway.
Speaker 1 Uh, and I already have it there, so
Speaker 1
but it's actually, I think, much more fun if you play it with like duos and trios, with friends. Yeah.
So, because you can do that, especially in the arena and stuff like that.
Speaker 1
So, it's like a pretty good co-op game. So, I would expect that to be much more fun.
You know, me, I don't like to play games with others.
Speaker 1 I know. I'm just saying.
Speaker 1 Like, stuff like Helldivers, for instance, is super fun with other people. Because you can't play it alone.
Speaker 1 That's true. And I didn't have fun
Speaker 1
while I played it with you guys. So I don't know.
I'm not sure what they're talking about.
Speaker 1 Are you still playing Helldivers? No.
Speaker 1
Exactly. I'm not playing anything because I'm playing Pad of Exile.
No time.
Speaker 1 I know.
Speaker 1
I know, I know, I know. Fair enough.
But I'll definitely look into this if they add more progression and more stuff. Like, it's definitely one of those interesting games.
Speaker 1
Like, we're talking about this when it comes to mobile immediately. Yeah, yeah, for sure.
It's going to be quite big. That's my assumption.
I'm looking forward to the theme and then the UA.
Speaker 1 The PUBG is very big already.
Speaker 1 I'm not saying this will be big as PUBG, but the theme and the mechanic of this kind of battle royale drill is very good. So we can wait once it goes out.
Speaker 1
Yeah. Miritor.
Okay. Thank you very much for listening again.
Speaker 1 Please share this episode with others. I think the PC episodes need a little bit of love from you guys
Speaker 1 just a little bit just a little bit just a little bit you know comment under the video because i think the pet fags out to episode was even worse than my farming con concrete farming market which was good but still you know yeah well we you know we need to also talk about hard topics not just the fancy topic usually
Speaker 1 yeah yeah exactly exactly because you learn you learn a lot if you would be playing the same games all the time we would learn shit
Speaker 1
exactly That's not fun for us, at least. So we don't care about the numbers, we care about the learnings, and this was quite fun and learning for us as well.
And then
Speaker 1 join our Slack channel.
Speaker 1
Everybody's there. Almost everybody from the industry.
And then we see you next time
Speaker 1
because this is going to go live on Thursday. So yeah, next week.
Thank you very much. Cheers.
Bye-bye.
