Speaker 8
The Patriots, oh Joe, very, very, very interesting game. Very good game, man.
Good game. Man, that was a barn burner.
The Patriots go to Buffalo
Speaker 8
and they win. Drake May 22 of 30, 273.
He didn't have a touchdown. He didn't have an interception.
A clean game. He was sacked four times, but man, Stephon Diggs gets his revenge.
Speaker 8
He played out of his mind. 10 catches for a buck 46.
Josh Allen, 22 of 31, 253. Two touchdowns, one interception.
Speaker 8
Dalton Kincaid led them with six catches for a buck 08. But I thought the Patriots played unbelievable and they won and they deserve to win this game.
There are no more unbeatens.
Speaker 8 This was the last of the unbeatens. And thanks to the New England Patriots, they go into Buffalo and come away with a hard road division win, OJo.
Speaker 8 We'll see how this thing shapes up as we move forward down the line. But hey, New England has to be proud of what they were able to do on the road.
Speaker 8 What did you like about what you saw from the Patriots?
Speaker 36 Listen, what I like from the Patriots with Drake May,
Speaker 36 everything.
Speaker 36 Can you hear me on?
Speaker 36 Oh, you got to, hey, you got to charge some things up, baby.
Speaker 36 Let me know when you can hear me.
Speaker 36 There we go.
Speaker 8 Hello.
Speaker 36 Yeah, I can hear you now. Can you hear me?
Speaker 36 We got time. Chat, can you hear me, chat?
Speaker 36 No, it's me.
Speaker 36 If I'm gonna dream,
Speaker 36 chat, can you hear me?
Speaker 8 Yeah, well, you good.
Speaker 36
Okay, okay, okay. You good? You good, you're good, you're good.
Let me know when you're ready.
Speaker 8 I'm good. Go ahead.
Speaker 36 So, what I like from the Patriots was a quarterback play.
Speaker 8 Yep.
Speaker 36 Quarterback play. Because if you look around the league, right,
Speaker 36 I'm going to get back to the page. If you look around the league, all the teams that have a chance in winning
Speaker 36
have a quarterback. They have consistent play at the position.
There's a reason, if you watch all the games today, including tonight's game, to have a chance to win and compete.
Speaker 36
You need a quarterback. That's it.
Drake May, phenomenal game. It seemed like the offense basically was filtered in this game through Stephon Diggs, showing that he's still capable of playing.
Speaker 36
He's still capable of making plays. And he showed out tonight.
Drake May
Speaker 36
had a very clean game. Buffalo, obviously, some unfortunate turnovers.
The Patriots had turnovers as well. But what's Stevens' first name?
Speaker 8 Ramondre.
Speaker 36 Yeah, yeah,
Speaker 36 he had some costly turnovers, but it didn't affect him when it comes to
Speaker 36 winning the game.
Speaker 36 It could have been costly. Outside of that, the Patriots played really good game, especially on defense as well.
Speaker 8 They did a great job of containing Josh
Speaker 8 and containing those receivers.
Speaker 8 Wherever they caught the ball at, they made sure they didn't do a great uh get run after the catch. I think Shakura got away with like one time, but you're right, Ocho.
Speaker 8 When you have a quarterback, when you have a calming, I mean, you look at the way Drake May played in a hostile environment against a division rival. He was 22 of 30, 273.
Speaker 8
Uh, although he didn't throw a touchdown, he didn't turn the ball over. He didn't put the ball in harm's way.
The last thing that you can do is turn the ball over.
Speaker 8 Now, it negated, I mean, you mentioned Ramondre Stevenson, he turned the ball over, but when you get three turnovers, when you force three, now you greatly increase your chances of winning because you offset.
Speaker 8 Now you're plus two. You could have been plus three, but you're plus two in the turnover battle.
Speaker 8 Buffalo did not, you know, I wasn't surprised that James Cook couldn't get going because the Patriots are really good against the run.
Speaker 8
Defensive-minded head coach. He was a great, he was a, look, I played against Brabel.
Yeah. And he was solid, Ocho.
If he was supposed to be in the flat, he had his ass in the flat.
Speaker 8 If he was supposed to be in the hook, he was going to be in the hook. If his job was to set the edge, you weren't going to hook it.
Speaker 8
So, and he coaches. He asks his players to be smart.
He asks his players to be disciplined. And you can see it coming through.
They played really well. The Patriots are going to be, look,
Speaker 8 I thought the Patriots would be good if they got a head coach.
Speaker 36 Yes, sir.
Speaker 8 Because that quarterback has it.
Speaker 36 Great potential.
Speaker 8
But Brable, man. And they got a guy, a number one receiver in Stephon Diggs that made every play that needed to be made tonight.
They had him for a sack. He was just trying to throw the ball away.
Speaker 8
And somehow he gets it to Diggs and Diggs picks up 14 yards. And that was the start.
Sometimes, Ocho, in a situation, a two-minute drill like that,
Speaker 8 that's the start you need. You need that one positive play to start, to drive, to kick it off.
Speaker 8 Like, you know what?
Speaker 8 And
Speaker 8
we're going to win this game, man. That ain't supposed to happen like that.
Not at all.
Speaker 8
And they got it going from there. But you had to be impressed with what you saw from the Patriots.
Now, hell, hell, I'm thinking about how the hell y'all lose two games when y'all play like this.
Speaker 36 Yeah, most definitely. And the funny thing about it is I like the jump, the jump that Drake May has made from year one to year two.
Speaker 36 And having games like this is only going to continue to build his confidence.
Speaker 36 And when you have games like this, you have an officer coordinator like Josh Daniels, and you're able to make some of the throws you made tonight to have a clean game like this.
Speaker 36
He can add more to your plate. He can add more to your plate, and you can do more offensively.
So the Patriots are going to be hell to deal with for the foreseeable future.
Speaker 36 As long as Drake may continue to stay upright and stay healthy, and you have players like as long as
Speaker 8 they don't turn the ball over,
Speaker 8 they're going to be all right. At the end of the day, it's still about turnovers.
Speaker 36 Yes, most definitely, most definitely.
Speaker 8
We just leave it through with the computer. You just purchase some new ones.
I don't know what's going on with those.
Speaker 8 Ojo, you got me?
Speaker 36 Yeah, I got you, baby. I'm here.
Speaker 8
I'm here. I'm here.
Yeah,
Speaker 8 my AirPods shot, so I'm coming through the computer right now. You good?
Speaker 36 I'm coming through the computer, too.
Speaker 8 You good?
Speaker 8
Now, you look, Buffalo, I don't look. Yeah, you turned the ball over.
And
Speaker 36 they had three, right?
Speaker 8
Three. Josh fumbled.
He threw a pick. Jones made a great jump on the ball.
Speaker 8 But when you, bro, when you
Speaker 8 and what Josh had done, say the last 15, 16 games, he's done a great job of taking care of the football.
Speaker 36 You've been clean, huh?
Speaker 8 He's been real clean. And that's the way, because these teams, it's hard for you to turn the ball over and win in today's game.
Speaker 36 Yes.
Speaker 8 Because for the most part, you're going up against a team that got a quarterback that I'm not saying Drake May, obviously, Drake May is not on the level of Josh Allen, but he can play well enough if you give them let them be plus two and you can't put him in harm's way yeah you're gonna catch hell beating him you you know what the good thing is when you have a quarterback like josh allen he's one of the few quarterbacks that can have a three turnover game and still overcome it overcome it yes you can still overcome it because of how well that team is running some of the plays that he can make not only with his arm but hell he can make it with his legs too yes they did a great job of neutralizing his legs tonight ocho he did have a long of 19 but nine for 53 uh it really didn't hurt him They did a great job of containing him.
Speaker 8 He didn't beat him. They didn't give up the
Speaker 8
big chunky runs to James Cook. But I thought the Patriots, they deserved to win this game.
They did a great job getting the ball,
Speaker 8 forcing Buffalo to settle for the field goal and not getting in the end zone and needing a touchdown in order to win the ball game.
Speaker 8 So give their defense credit because when they needed to bowl their back, and they did, they held him to what? Made them kick, what, three, two field goals? Yeah, two field goals.
Speaker 8 Uh, that could have easily, you know, turned him to touchdown because that's what the bills normally do.
Speaker 8 When they get down there, because Josh is so dynamic with his legs and his arm, they put you, they put you under the gun. But the Patriots today was able to neutralize that.
Speaker 8 It's like, nah, bro, nah, we're not, we're not, we're not going for that today. You know, the Buffalo Bills get a very tough victory on the road against a division opponent by the score of 20-20.
Speaker 8
They basically walk it off. It was 10 seconds left.
And so, unless something
Speaker 8 unforeseen were to happen, they weren't going to win this game. So
Speaker 8 congratulations.
Speaker 8 They got people's attention, OJo.
Speaker 36 Yeah, absolutely. And you know what else I like about Drake May too?
Speaker 36 What's the one thing, the one thing a defense tried to do to rattle a young quarterback, especially only in his second year? You bring pressure. You bring pressure.
Speaker 36 And every time they brought pressure, he found a way to beat it. Every time, even though he was getting flushed out the pocket because
Speaker 36 there was always a man that was free that was coming, he still found a way to make a play. And if there wasn't anything there, he didn't put the ball in harm's way.
Speaker 8 Oh, yeah.
Speaker 8 They, um,
Speaker 8 but
Speaker 8
Buffalo goes to five, four, and one. Yeah.
The Patriots move up to three and two.
Speaker 8
See how this thing shapes out. I still believe Buffalo is the class of that division.
Of course. But it probably is not going to be as easily as we previously thought.
No.
Speaker 8 Oh, Joe.
Speaker 8 Didn't I tell you?
Speaker 36 What?
Speaker 36 Bro.

Speaker 36 hey hey back back on list listen do me do me a favor this is now what you're gonna have to do this is the one game i wasn't able to see this is the one game i wasn't able to watch because while they were playing obviously i was giving my pep talk to to my team um in the locker room so i wasn't able to
Speaker 36 talk to him anymore not man listen the one game i couldn't see but but you got there you got to give me, give me in context, what happened, how the game went, why they did.
Speaker 8 Bronco's defense dominated.
Speaker 36 Okay.
Speaker 8 They sacked Jalen Hurts six times.
Speaker 36 Six.
Speaker 8 Six times. Oh, tell them how many passes they batted down.
Speaker 36 Slow down. You talk about they sacked Jalen Hurts six times with that.
Speaker 8 Six times. Bonito got him two and a half times.
Speaker 36 Hold on, with that offensive line?
Speaker 8
Six times. We got the best.
That front four, that front four we got.
Speaker 36 Yeah.
Speaker 8
Get home. Got home.
Okay.
Speaker 8
Saquon. Saquon had six carries for 30 yards.
They had 11 rushes for 45 yards. So what they did is that they listened to y'all.
Man, throw the ball, throw the ball, throw the ball.
Speaker 8
That's not what they do. Right.
They throw when they want to, not when they have to. And even though the Broncos let them get out there, they had a 17-3 lead.
Speaker 8
Broncos said, nah, we're going to shut y'all down. We're going to give y'all nothing.
How many yards they have the second half? If you take that last drive out,
Speaker 8 because at one point I think they had like 40 yards in the second half.
Speaker 36 Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait, let me catch up, Nat. You're talking too fast.
Speaker 8 Go ahead, go ahead.
Speaker 36 They had a 17-3 lead. The Eagles had a 17-3 lead.
Speaker 8 17-3.
Speaker 8 Let me tell you how confident the Broncos were. They scored and went for two.
Speaker 36 Did they get it?
Speaker 8
Got it. 18-17.
Then they kicked the field goal.
Speaker 36 Wait, so at what point, if they were 17-3, did they get it?
Speaker 8
It was 17-3. They scored a touchdown, made it 17-10.
Scored another touchdown with a two to make it 18-17. Okay.
Speaker 8 Stopped them, made them point, go three and out, got the ball back, drove down the field, kicked the field goal.
Speaker 36 So they went up 17-3, right? The way they got up 17-3, was it on the ground or through the air? Or was it a combination of both?
Speaker 8 They ran like a double move just on Saquon motion out the backfield, kind of made like a double move on the linebacker where he ran out the swung out the backfield and made like a double move.
Speaker 8 Yeah, beat the linebacker for a 47-yard touchdown. Okay.
Speaker 8 Dallas Guard had caught one. You know, they run that zone read and then the tight end like he's going to block, but he slides to the flat.
Speaker 8
A couple of times. Okay.
But it wasn't really nothing. I mean, no big plays.
Speaker 8 Man, I was watching AJ Brown.
Speaker 36 Yes, sir.
Speaker 8 Man, AJ ran a slant, an under, and a sluggo. That's the only thing I saw him run today.
Speaker 36 He didn't run the curl. run he run the curl too a slant an under and a sluggo
Speaker 36 that's it that's it
Speaker 8 and he we had look they taking advantage of riley moss riley moss what i mean most of the yards came on riley moss right he gave up a deep play to uh devontae and whoever else but hey but you know number two he ain't nobody getting nothing on him
Speaker 8
Yeah, you got something on him. They ran AJ on an under.
Yeah. He kind of picked because, you know, he started out there and then Smitty
Speaker 8
run the rubs. And so he had to fight through that.
But
Speaker 8 what nothing happened?
Speaker 8 I was surprised how many times they sacked him. Right.
Speaker 8 The Broncos sacked Jalen Hurts six times and batted down nine of his 38 passes.
Speaker 8
Benito led the way with two and a half sacks. He had six sacks in the past three games.
He leads the league, if I'm not mistaken, with seven. The Eagles managed just 42 yards in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 8 That's including that drive, right? That's including that drive at the end of the game.
Speaker 36 42 yards in total?
Speaker 8 42.
Speaker 36 What do you think they should have done better?
Speaker 8
They should have played the Broncos. They should have put the Broncos on the schedule.
That's what they should have done.
Speaker 8 Yeah, let's start with that.
Speaker 36
Hold on. I'm trying to understand.
What is it that the Eagles didn't do that they didn't do?
Speaker 8
Did you watch the Broncos Monday night? What they did to your team? Yep. They did worse.
They did worse to the Eagles
Speaker 8 as far as bum rushing them, right?
Speaker 36 But you have to understand, my team is handicapped, so there's a reason why your Broncos beat us.
Speaker 8 So, let's. Well, what was the Eagles' excuse? Because we did it to them too.
Speaker 36 Okay, let's not get beside ourselves now.
Speaker 8 Let's not
Speaker 8 Cortland Sutton was mossing your guy, Quinn Yon.
Speaker 8 Give me that.
Speaker 8 Hold on, give me this.
Speaker 36 He mossing
Speaker 8 you show any kind of way.
Speaker 36 I got to see the film.
Speaker 8 dude you can watch it i gotta see the all 22 to get it all
Speaker 8 sudden he follows sudden around sudden eight for 99.
Speaker 36 the whole game yeah okay but listen what's what's gonna happen is when you have games like this keon mission right now on the way he playing the way he's played the first three four weeks whatever it is i don't know i forgot we're in week four right week five Okay, week five.
Speaker 36
His first four weeks, that young bull, young bull is in the conversation for top five. This early, this early in his career.
He's very good he's very talented
Speaker 36 he's phenomenal hey listen i i hate to do comparisons but i'm gonna compare keon mitchell to somebody on on the field he's just like goddamn denzel ward damn near from a technical standpoint in old position to make a play so if cortland sudden did have eight for eight for 99 or whatever it may have been maybe because jump ball would be his strength and that wouldn't that wouldn't be keon's mitchell strength because that advantage goes to cortland sudden who is the taller bigger individual but um listen the Eagle could lose a game.
Speaker 36 The Eagen could lose a game.
Speaker 8 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But see, now,
Speaker 8
now AJ can get their attention. Yeah.
You see, when we have to throw and they know we have to throw, it's a different ballgame.
Speaker 8 You see, everybody, oh, no, bro, Saquon, people ain't gonna let Saquon go crazy like he went last year.
Speaker 8 You know, uh, uh, uh, uh,
Speaker 8 Dickerson is in and out of the lineup with the, you know, he got hurt, had the surgery, got nicked again. He's out.
Speaker 8 your right guard mikai beckton he left with the charges uh lane johnson been dealing with stuff all year long so he hasn't kind of been the lane johnson that we're used to seeing that's not this that's not the same eagles lineup right and so the uh what started at the beginning of the season they taking the lumps and bruises they're taking some lumps right now right uh
Speaker 8
they sacked both uh twice But I thought overall he played well. He missed the throw here.
There it looked. He's only in his second year.
But to go on the road and do that in
Speaker 8 a hostile environment to the team that won the Super Bowl last year, the Broncos had to be, they have to feel really good about what they were able to do today.
Speaker 8 They like, if I'm Sean Payton, I'm saying, see,
Speaker 8 this is what we're capable of doing. Right.
Speaker 8 We don't have to take a back seat to anybody.
Speaker 8 When we have a great week of practice, when we pay attention to details, when we take care of what we're supposed to take care of, clean game, no turnovers.
Speaker 8 We can go on the road or we can be anybody, anywhere, at any time.
Speaker 36 Yeah.
Speaker 8 Yeah.
Speaker 36
I like it. I like it.
I like it. Listen, what I wouldn't do is I wouldn't get too high up on my bridges.
You know, don't count your chicken before you. Don't count your egg before.
Speaker 36 Don't count your chicken before the egg. How you say it? How you say it? How the SANGO?
Speaker 8 Don't count the chicken before they hatch.
Speaker 36 Yeah, don't. Yeah, don't do that.
Speaker 8 Y'all want to.
Speaker 8 But he's already hatched.
Speaker 36 Listen,
Speaker 36 y'all beat the Super Bowl champs. But when it comes time, when we talk about after Thanksgiving, when real football season starts, we talk about playoff football.
Speaker 36 Are y'all still going to be in the chase?
Speaker 8
Are y'all. I don't know who won't be in the chase.
Y'all won't be. Listen, first of all, by the way,
Speaker 36 who is y'all? We talk about.
Speaker 36 We talk about the Broncos.
Speaker 8 We see where we are.
Speaker 8 You see what we are?
Speaker 36 Y'all two and three.
Speaker 8 Two and three. Who told you that?
Speaker 36 Y'all think with y'all three and two?
Speaker 8 Better than y'all.
Speaker 8 Whatever y'all are we not okay okay okay i don't know what we are i don't know what we are off the top of my head right but we are what y'all are so let me tell you something are you excited you excited where y'all at right now you you happy about today's win everything i told you
Speaker 8 i said don't y'all y'all gonna win y'all first two games and y'all lose in the next three chat did i tell him that hold on Hold on.
Speaker 36
This is what you're not going to do. This is what we're not going to do.
See? And the chat should have a better understanding. For me, for me, I have to.
Speaker 36
My faith is always going to lie with my bangles. You hear me? If I cut myself right now, I'm going to bleed orange and black.
See, that's what's going to happen. So I understand.
I understand.
Speaker 36 And you understand as well. Our chances of continuous
Speaker 36 meeting and winning games
Speaker 8 are solely based on our quarterback plan.
Speaker 36 He's out.
Speaker 36
He's out. Now, I know he's out, but I still have to keep my faith and my love and my allegiance to my team.
Unlike most people, when the quarterback goes down, they like to jump ship.
Speaker 8 Well, the show right there.
Speaker 8 Wendy, when they, when they going to win another game, when they,
Speaker 8 when they, when they going to win another game, never.
Speaker 36 If there was any more time on the clock, whenever we get to that game, we'll talk about that. When we get to that game, we'll talk about that.
Speaker 8
Boy, y'all could have played another, or y'all could have played another four quarters. They should have.
You better be glad they took a knee.
Speaker 36 Hey, be careful because if we played another four quarters, we might have come back and won that game.
Speaker 8 They could have played to tomorrow.
Speaker 8 And y'all still wouldn't have winning that game.
Speaker 36 Don't do that.
Speaker 36 You saw number six and then number one. And
Speaker 36 they started getting that chemistry. They started to get going, huh? You saw that, right?
Speaker 8 And we are not.
Speaker 36 Hold on.
Speaker 36 Are we on the game now? Are we on the...
Speaker 8
No, we ain't on the game. Man, ain't nobody talking about no bingles right now.
We got other good games to talk about before we talk about them bums. Let me know.
Speaker 36 I'm about to get J.
Speaker 8 Okay, I'll let you know. Right now, you don't know so i ain't let you know so you don't know okay let me put these good guys
Speaker 8 back
Speaker 8 how y'all doing chat
Speaker 36 yeah hey hey hey hey you and you show and you show is happy about that goddamn that goddamn whoa whoa whoa i'll be what happened hold on don't you gotta know that's you always that's you always praising you always hooping and hollering about Why be?
Speaker 8
Whoa, whoa. Oh, Joe, this is so unnecessary.
Oh, no, I'm not.
Speaker 8 Oh, my gosh. Why?
Speaker 36 Listen, I'm just saying.
Speaker 8 Just calm down.
Speaker 36 And you might be happy about them, Broncos, but we still got another team that you claim.
Speaker 8 I don't know what's going on, chat. I really don't.
Speaker 36
Oh, don't worry about it. We'll get to it.
What's the next game we're talking about?
Speaker 8 I mean,
Speaker 8 it's not that serious, Scott. It's not that serious.
Speaker 36
It's serious. It's serious.
Pull out your Ravens helmet now.
Speaker 8
Whoa, we don't jump out. We're discussing the Broncos.
We're talking about Bronco country.
Speaker 36
We talk, hey, that game is over. Let's talk about your Ravens.
Whoa.
Speaker 8 okay
Speaker 8 not aj brown but devontae smith had plenty to say about jalen hurts lack of communication after the team's first loss there are times we're looking at him and he may give a signal before
Speaker 8 we uh or after we look and ultimately we have to be on the same page we have to see that signal no matter what it's just the little things within the routes he may have seen something pre-snap and sometimes we didn't see it hurt said doesn't remember any of those things happening and that he'd like to have to talk to Smith to see what he's referencing.
Speaker 8 Ocho,
Speaker 8 first it was AJ. Now Devontae Smith.
Speaker 8 Are you surprised that because here's the thing, Ocho, now
Speaker 8 this is not a situation where Devontae and AJ Smith are first-year players. Jalen Hurst is a first-year player.
Speaker 8
They've been together for three years. This, this, what, whatever he's referencing, and we don't know.
Right. Jalen Hurts say, I don't know what he's talking about.
Speaker 8 But whatever the case may be, there should not be miscommunication at this level at this time of the year with those three.
Speaker 36 Especially not in year three.
Speaker 36 Now, listen, one of the things that a lot of Eagles fans, and I would love Eagle fans to understand, listen, as receivers, and though they love to use this moniker, oh, he's a diva, oh, he's selfish.
Speaker 36 No, all players, all players want to be able to contribute.
Speaker 36 All players, obviously, the winning is good.
Speaker 36 And you have a formula in the way you win, in the way you do things that is the eagles success that's a success obviously the players especially your 1a and your 1b they want to contribute and they want to be part of that the fact that they run the ball so much when it is time to throw you want everything to be as perfect as possible and it just hasn't been that so the communication in which aj and devonta smith and in um and Jill Hurts might be lacking because that's not the focal point of their offense.
Speaker 36 It's not the focal point of their offense. So there might be some great areas in that area that are never really addressed because that's not the way they do things in general.
Speaker 36
But listen, I think it's something that they will get fixed. I think it's something that they will get fixed.
Stuff like this,
Speaker 36
it shouldn't be out. It shouldn't be said publicly because it should be handled internally.
But the fact that...
Speaker 36 their focal point is always we're the type of team we're going to run the ball first and we're going to worry about everything else else if the run doesn't work and we have to abandon it
Speaker 36 which i think that that's where the disconnect is
Speaker 8 i
Speaker 8 me person me personally ocho i think devontae was trying to help jalen by saying there was some miscommunication because if there's no miscommunication this is some bull diggity
Speaker 8 so he was saying you know what Maybe we missed a maybe we missed a signal or something that he saw something that we didn't see.
Speaker 8 Maybe,
Speaker 8 but if it's just nah we just look this bad right they look bad ocho they did there are stretches there where they look i'm like well damn did y'all practice
Speaker 8 that bad yeah hold on you said did they practice and they look bad when it came yes i mean there are stretches where they look that bad that you that i questioned whether or not they had been practicing when it comes to the passing game you mean yes yes okay but teams are not going to let them run ocho you see and i and i said this people think the way you win a super bowl one year you're going to exactly come back and win it no they're not letting saquan run for 150 175 200 like he did last year every game we come we every after every game eagles game ocho we come in here saquan did something spectacular saquan did man saquan hit his head on the goal post from 80.
Speaker 36 saquan hit it wait i got a question yes if teams aren't allowing saquan barkley to run obviously i i'd be better suited to to to talk about this game that's the one game i wasn't able to watch but if they're not allowing sacrane to run and the front four is not going to be able to stop him you got to bring a safety down in the goddamn box in order to do that it's one-on-one on the outside so it shouldn't be any problem but you know what ocho when you really look at it if you really look at philly's offense it's really simplistic
Speaker 8 yeah it's really simplistic
Speaker 8 the game of football is simple you don't have to over coach it you don't have to over complicate it yeah but you look you but you look at you look at how i'll give you an example you look at how uh uh uh the lions how they put their players in position to succeed.
Speaker 8
Oh, yeah. You look at some of the other offensive coordinators and how they put their players.
Bro, you just run in unders. You running slants.
You're running sluggos. Come on, bro.
Speaker 36 Yeah, but listen, you think about the Lions offense, and then you look at the offense of the Eagles. The Eagles win in a very simplistic form.
Speaker 36 The creativity of the Lions
Speaker 8 in a simplistic form. The likelihood you're going to have to complicate, you're going to have to get a little bit more complicated now.
Speaker 36 A little bit more creative.
Speaker 36 Yes. Creative.
Speaker 36 yes but listen the goddamn lions um when it comes to their creativity offensively it's a lot more complex especially when you when you watch it from the outside dude they do a little bit of everything they do and you never you never know what's coming you never know what's coming that's not that's not the makeup and that's not the dna of the eagles and they never had No, they're not.
Speaker 8 But I think in order for them to get back where they want to be, Ocho, they're going to have to open up display book. They're going to have to open up.
Speaker 8
They're going to have to trust Jalen Hurst to throw the ball and not when they get behind. Listen, I don't think they want him to throw the ball 38 times.
I know that for certain. That's not them.
Speaker 8 That's not their recipe.
Speaker 8 Ocho, 11 carries, they had 11 rush attempts. Saquon, who you paying $20 million a year, had six rush attempts.
Speaker 36 Wait, wait, wait, hold on, hold on. So you're saying they abandoned the run too early?
Speaker 8 They couldn't get anything running.
Speaker 36 Okay, so you had no choice but to throw.
Speaker 8 But now, but see, we know that.
Speaker 8 See, when Saquon is running, you're like, damn, what are they going to do now? Are they going to run it or are they going to throw it? We really don't know.
Speaker 8
Well, they can't run the football with Saquon. They hadn't been able to run all year.
They got really lucky in the Rams game that AJ, that Jalen and AJ got on the same page, and AJ got hot, and boom.
Speaker 8 But
Speaker 8
they're going to have to be better. They're going to have to be better than this.
AJ Brown getting eight targets for five catches and 43 yards and two for 11. And And that ain't gonna cut it.
Speaker 8 That ain't gonna cut it.
Speaker 36 Because they're not, because the running game is not successful as it was last year.
Speaker 8 Okay, yeah.
Speaker 8 Yep. Damn.
Speaker 8
But we just put, we put, you know, put foot center. Let them know what time it was.
Speaking of disappointing teams, is there any more disappointing team than your Bengals? Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Speaker 36
Hold on. Hold up, babe.
Why are we going to the Bengal game? The Ravens stayed at one o'clock.
Speaker 8 That's okay.
Speaker 36 The Ravens played at one o'clock.
Speaker 1 What a matchup we got, y'all.
Speaker 3 This is that classic HBCU vibe.
Speaker 4 Non-stop action.
Speaker 5 The band is rocking and the crowd lick.
Speaker 7 Chants echo.
Speaker 3 Drum beating.
Speaker 9 Everybody showing that school pride.
Speaker 6 Game like this?
Speaker 7 Yeah, it calls for an ice-cold Coca-Cola.
Speaker 9 Ah, crisp and refreshing. That's a game changer right there.
Speaker 8 Mmm, yeah.
Speaker 1 That taste always hits the right note, just like the band at halftime.
Speaker 4 And just like that, we're back out.
Speaker 10 Passionate fans, school colors everywhere, and an ice cold Coca-Cola, that's a winning combo.
Speaker 2 No matter the sport, no matter the yard, everybody knows.
Speaker 11 Fan work is thirsty work.
Speaker 1 So grab a Coca-Cola and keep that HBCU pride going.

Speaker 8 Y'all play we go we we start from we start and work our way back you remember how sad we did that?
Speaker 36 Oh, that's what we're doing?
Speaker 8 Yep.
Speaker 36 Okay, well, go ahead. Let's talk about my, let's talk about my team.
Speaker 8 Whoa, whoa, whoa. I mean, you do an awful lot of talking for a team that got beat by 13.
Speaker 36 Wait, by who?
Speaker 8
Jared Goff was 19 of 23. That means he had four incompletions, chat, 258 yards, three touchdowns.
Damn.
Speaker 8 Three.
Speaker 8 David Montgomery even threw a touchdown. So in actuality, that was 20 of 24, 264, 261 yards, four tubs, zero INTs.
Speaker 36 Hey, can I tell you something real quick?
Speaker 8 Hey, that man went home.
Speaker 8 He went home.
Speaker 36 Yeah, he went home. Hey, listen, he came home and showed up.
Speaker 36
He came home and showed out. But let's understand something.
For one, before I even start, me, I got a chance to see Kirby. I got to see J-Mo.
I got to see Amara St. Brown.
Speaker 36 I got to see Terion Arnold before the game. You know,
Speaker 36 I exchanged some pleasure with them boys, you know, and hoping, and hoping we would have had a better showing than what we did. That's neither here nor there.
Speaker 8 No, you had the showing that you had.
Speaker 36 Listen, Jake Brown and Uncle, we are not a good enough team. We are not a good enough team to overcome three toneovers.
Speaker 36
We're not a good enough team. We got to be able to protect the ball.
We got to be able to protect the ball. Goddamn, Jamar Chase, Chase Brown, P.
Ryan, boy,
Speaker 36
you know what off. They thought they you know what off to to find ways to make play.
Jake Bryner running for his life
Speaker 36
for the majority of the game and trying to make something out of nothing. He did his best.
Chase did his best. I would love for us to get everyone else involved.
Speaker 36 I would love for us to get everyone else involved. We have to do a better line, a better job up front.
Speaker 36
We got to do a better job up front. Jake Bryner running around for his life is one of the reasons why Joe Burrows hurt.
I'm not saying no names. I'm not calling no names.
Speaker 36
For those of you who are able to watch the game, you understand that. You understand that.
We did the best we could. As a team, defensively, I thought we played well.
I thought we played well.
Speaker 8 You gave up 37.
Speaker 36 Yeah, listen, listen. We gave up 37 to a team that's probably ranked maybe number one.
Speaker 8 They took a knee on the 10-yard line.
Speaker 36 I know.
Speaker 36 Listen, you don't want to be disrespectful to us.
Speaker 8 Yeah, I want to be disrespectful.
Speaker 36 Yeah.
Speaker 36 Listen, they won the game. It's a good team.
Speaker 8 But again, I want to be openly and blatantly disrespectful.
Speaker 36 Okay, okay listen it was a great win for the lions it was a great win for the lions i i had a great time meeting many lions fans you know this this this past three days i salute y'all i love you was nothing but mutual respect with the trash talk that we that we were doing but as you know my faithful my faithfulness and my allegiance will always lie here they will always lie with this and i i got to talk I got to talk and we lost today.
Speaker 36
And I bow my head with grace. And y'all won the game.
And it's nothing but love. It's nothing but love.
Speaker 8
It ain't no love. It's bitter hatred.
No, it ain't bitter. No, terrible.
No, no, no, no, no. You did all that talking.
Now look at you.
Speaker 36 Yeah, yeah, it's okay. Listen, I can sit here and say we lost.
Speaker 8
I bet Chase was a DB in high school, too. Because he could tackle.
He had three tackles in the first half.
Speaker 36 Look, at one point, Chase was leading in tackles.
Speaker 8 That's why I know he played DB, too.
Speaker 36 He played on offense.
Speaker 8 It's okay.
Speaker 36 I have a question for you.
Speaker 36 I have a question for y'all too. Do you think,
Speaker 36
I love Zach Taylor. I love Zach Taylor.
And I hate that people are saying, oh, the coach needs to be fired. And all this, listen, it don't matter who you bring in there.
Speaker 36
Goddamn, you can have Jesus coaching. But when Jesus called them plays, it's our job to execute them.
It's 11 people out there on the field. For one, ain't running no offense.
Speaker 36
You ain't running no goddamn offense. And if you ain't got nobody blocking for whoever at the quarterback position, we can start there.
That ain't got shit to do with Zach Taylor. We can start there.
Speaker 36 But
Speaker 36 do you think we need to make a move and go get another quarterback? I just want to know because we're only 200.
Speaker 8 Where are you going to get him from? Amazon?
Speaker 8 Because
Speaker 8 you talking like they got one that you can order from Amazon and they give it to you and you get them next day.
Speaker 36
But listen, you know the game. You know the game.
I know the game. When you're like this, do you want to salvage the season
Speaker 8 in in some shape no you're not gonna salvage nothing ojo y'all gonna be done by things y'all be done y'all will be done by halloween oh
Speaker 36 listen joe is not coming back this year i i'm i'm not talking about joe coming back i'm saying getting someone in there at the quarterback position that can facilitate the ball and protect it at the same time no that's why they still stick it with him i don't know who your backup boy is to jake browning but i don't believe you bringing somebody uh uh uh uh
Speaker 8 off the street ojo Joe, over the last three games, you guys have been outscored 113 to 37. The 76-point differential narrowly missed the record 80 worst three-game stretch in franchise history.
Speaker 8
Bengal have three other quarterbacks on the roster. Brett Rippen, who played for the Broncos.
Mike White, who
Speaker 8
played for the Jets and the Dolphins, and Sean Clifford. are on the practice squad.
Jake Brownie threw three interceptions and he had three touchdowns in garbage time. They don't mean nothing.
Speaker 8 Brownie was booed after several drives in the first half. At one point, he was booed and he led the offense as he led the offense on the field.
Speaker 8 Browning had thrown, has thrown eight interceptions in four games.
Speaker 36
So you heard what you just said? He's thrown eight interceptions in four games. And you still think there's not a quality backup.
That's on another team.
Speaker 36 I'm not, I don't want to say no names that can come in and get no
Speaker 8 because he knows your offense the best your offensive line they still they haven't addressed I mean they haven't addressed that uh
Speaker 8 and your defense
Speaker 8 now I granted that you you know you turned the ball over four uh three times a day three but
Speaker 8 if you go back and look at over the last
Speaker 8 but I mean the Broncos beat the brakes off y'all the team before that beat the brakes off y'all y'all defense isn't any good
Speaker 8 it's about I mean, I wish I could give it to and say,
Speaker 8
make it better, but I can't. Y'all defense aren't it, your defense isn't very good.
And when your defense isn't good,
Speaker 8
because here's the thing, your defense is the worst part of your team. Your offense is bad and turning the ball over.
So the worst part of your team is playing the most.
Speaker 8 The last thing that you want, Ocho, you want the best part of your team to play the most. You want your offense to be on the field.
Speaker 8 Now, your offense is turning the ball low, putting the worst part on the field.
Speaker 36 I don't, you know what, you know what? Can I tell you something?
Speaker 8 Yes.
Speaker 36 I don't like the way you worded that.
Speaker 36 I'm just saying, I don't like the way you worded that. I think, I think
Speaker 36 I don't want to say we're going to be all right, but y'all not.
Speaker 36
Let me finish. Let me finish.
Let me have a little faith. Let me have a little faith.
Okay.
Speaker 36 We got to have better. quarterback play.
Speaker 36 The fact that you know Joe is out for us to even have a chance to be able to compete every sunday no matter who the hell we playing we can't turn the ball over y'all can't trade for andy dalton huh
Speaker 8 where andy at ain't where andy at carolina
Speaker 36 no uh we need a gunslinger we need a gunslinger somebody that's that that's gonna that's gonna let that thing rip you hear me somebody
Speaker 36 someone that that is experienced that has veteran preference well trade for for Jameis then.
Speaker 36 Okay, now we're talking.
Speaker 8 You say you want somebody to let it rip. Jameis gonna throw.
Speaker 36 Now we talk.
Speaker 8
Now, here's the thing, Ocho. Talk to him.
You're going to have three touchdown passes. He's going to have three interceptions too.
Now
Speaker 8 he's going to throw for 350, 400.
Speaker 36 400. He's going to throw.
Speaker 8 But just so you know.
Speaker 36 I'm just saying, listen, I love you.
Speaker 8 You remember that game last year against the Broncos? 497.
Speaker 8 But he had three picks of the football. Yeah.
Speaker 36 so I'm saying, would you rather us, us having Jameis or having someone at the quarter position that can that can give us 497 or 500 yards passing and at least have using Higgins would like that?
Speaker 8 Huh? I say, I'm sure Chasing Higgins would like that. Somebody's gonna throw the ball.
Speaker 36 Yeah, for sure. So if we're gonna have a chance, if you say our defense is bad, if we're gonna have a chance, we gotta throw the kitchen sink of what we can salvage in this season.
Speaker 36 We're just two and three now. We just two and three.
Speaker 36 You never know.
Speaker 36 You never know what happened. If I'm not mistaken,
Speaker 36 we second in division.
Speaker 8 Yeah.
Speaker 36 Yeah, we're second in division. Now we have time.
Speaker 8 But I don't think, given the circumstances in this division, I don't think there's only one team going out of division.
Speaker 8 Now, it might be a situation where you get three teams out of the AFC West: the Broncos, the Chargers, and the Chiefs.
Speaker 36 So, would you, are you just, are you capable of it?
Speaker 8 But think about it, Ocho.
Speaker 8 You got to look at the alc south jacksonville lost one game indy lost one game you saw the texans win today yeah but who they who the texans beat today
Speaker 8 man the texans beat there you go you're trying to be slick you trying to sleep that with indie you about to be slick
Speaker 36 who the texans beat today
Speaker 8 you know who they beat today i got
Speaker 8 gummery scored a touchdown in the same game for the 14th time right eyeing an nfl record
Speaker 36 hey can i tell you something huh you know this first you can i tell you something you notice the first time the lions beat the bangles since 1992
Speaker 36 it won't be the last time because i they i ain't never i ain't never lost to him
Speaker 36 y'all they probably didn't know play the lions we played the lions twice i had dre black was on me
Speaker 36 dre dre black was on me that was my boy and my and my boy uh when we played him here in in cincinnati boy remember lewis delmas yeah yeah hey hey that boy, that boy know he can hit, boy.
Speaker 36
He knows he can hit. But we ain't never lost to them.
But again, salute to all the Lions fans. I know it's a lot of y'all in the chat that are watching tonight.
I salute you. Y'all won the game.
Speaker 36 If I met you,
Speaker 36
it's all love. It's all love.
And I'm going to get down to Detroit. I promise him I'll come down to Detroit and sit in the stands at Ford Field and watch the game.
Speaker 8
Damn. Cowboys go to the Meadowlands.
Yeah.
Speaker 8
I don't know if they call it the Metal Lands anymore. Met Life Stadium.
That's what they call it. And they win.
They mollywalk the Jets 37-22. The 2-2-1, not Cowboys.
Jets are 0-5.
Speaker 8
Dak Prescott was sensational. 18 of 29, 237, 4 touchdowns.
No interceptions. Javante Williams, 16 carries.
A buck 35.
Speaker 8 He was running the football. The Cowboys were missing four starters on the offensive line.
Speaker 8 And by the time the first half ended, the Cowboys had a 100-yard rusher in Javante Williams and a 100-yard receiver in Ryan Florinoy.
Speaker 8 And Dak Prescott had two touchdown passes to his tight end, Jake Ferguson.
Speaker 8
Justin Fields was 32 of 46, 283, two touchdowns. His offensive line isn't very good.
Their defense isn't very good. I thought their defense would be better than what is shown thus far.
They're not.
Speaker 8 And Brian, Brees Hall had 14 carries for a buck 13, no choke. And he was totally carried for 144 yards.
Speaker 8
He was toting that. And he got blown out.
Yeah.
Speaker 36 But, but listen, that goddamn Javante Williams,
Speaker 36 Javante Williams, with him running like that, it opens up everything else for Dak.
Speaker 8 He looks like the Carolina Javante Williams. You remember when he came out, Ocho, how he ran the football? Yeah.
Speaker 8
He was coming back off of knee surgery. So it needed, he needed to get one year removed after that knee surgery.
Now he looks like the guy.
Speaker 36 Hey, he was totally that thing. And
Speaker 36
he's totally, listen, you come up there. You come up there to the party.
He gonna dish it.
Speaker 36 He gonna dish it.
Speaker 8 Oh, yeah.
Speaker 36 Hey, that goddamn Dak look good, boy.
Speaker 8 Oh, he authority today. He was dealing.
Speaker 36 That goddamn Dak look good. Pickings out there.
Speaker 36 Ferguson out there
Speaker 36 getting jiggy.
Speaker 8
I like Ferguson. I've always liked Ferguson.
Even as a rookie,
Speaker 8
oh Joe. You know what annoys me with DBs? What? When you get up there and press coverage and you open the door.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 8 If you're going to get in press coverage, put your hands on the guy if you're not back your ass off wait was it bail technique it was sauce no it wasn't bail no he was he he would just just open the door right and and and pick ran right by it
Speaker 36 uh he thought he thought he thought pick was gonna run something short i bet
Speaker 8 if you open the door my great granny used to say all the time boy open the door flies come in the house every time
Speaker 8
okay you open you up in press coverage yeah but you got got to realize if you open the gate, the guy got to run and start. Now you have to turn and run.
Yeah, you do.
Speaker 8 You're not catching up with these top flight receivers. Look,
Speaker 8 I don't like to be the bearer of bad news.
Speaker 8 But Sauce Gardner hasn't been the same since his rookie year. If we being all the way honest,
Speaker 8 if we being 1,000% honest,
Speaker 8 since they started calling all that clutching and holding.
Speaker 8
And they let him get away with his rookie season. Chad, y'all know it.
Watch the tape. Watch it.
Speaker 8 He ain't the same.
Speaker 8
He's the highest paid. Congratulations.
But ain't no way I'm putting him up there with Stingley. I'm putting him up there with Sertan.
Speaker 8 Nah. I mean,
Speaker 36
hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Listen.
Now, I understand he might get the, he might get the call. He might get the holding calls.
Speaker 36 He might, you know, get beat sometime. But young bull is paid significantly because he showed on film he's worth what he's doing.
Speaker 8 He ain't been the same since the rookie year. Okay, okay, okay.
Speaker 8 watch him watch the tape look at him he ain't been the same
Speaker 8 he's not
Speaker 8 he's not
Speaker 8 he
Speaker 8 and
Speaker 8 he ain't even close he ain't even close to sertan we they need to stop that discussion that that's that's two totally different bodies of work stingley that two sertan
Speaker 8 they by themselves man
Speaker 8 they by themselves
Speaker 8 i mean i i just be all the way 1000 with yojo and and chat jets fans if you being honest y'all watched him over the last three, four years.
Speaker 8 He ain't been the same since the rookie year because they call all that clutching and holding that
Speaker 8 he was getting away with. They call it it now.
Speaker 8 Not
Speaker 8 damn.
Speaker 36 You do understand defensive back is the hardest position to play on the field, huh?
Speaker 8
Yes, I do. Yes.
Yes.
Speaker 46 Okay, okay, okay.
Speaker 36 Okay.
Speaker 8 Ocho, he makes 30 million dollars a year. Yeah.
Speaker 8 Yeah.
Speaker 8
I, I, I, it, it, guess what? It was hard when he was a rookie. He was defensive rookie of the year.
Yeah.
Speaker 8 We don't do that. Hey,
Speaker 8
as you make more, more is expected, don't you? Yeah, absolutely. You don't get to still look, you don't get to stay the same.
You're like, well, you know, hey, no,
Speaker 8
you're supposed to try to elevate. I'm going to show everybody why they gave me this money.
Yes. They paid you for that defensive player of the year.
I mean, defensive rookie of the year.
Speaker 8 They paid you for that all-pro. They're paying you now because they say we believe moving forward, he's going to be better than what he was to make us give him this money.
Speaker 8
So we're going to be getting him out of bargain. He's not playing well.
And it's okay to say that.
Speaker 8 For somehow, we've gotten away from like
Speaker 8
if a guy's not playing well and he's a good player, it's okay to say he's not playing well, chat. Chad, he's not.
He's not.
Speaker 8 And it could be a receiver, it could be a running back, it could be a quarterback. I'm not taking because somebody's not playing the way currency.
Speaker 8 The thing is, Ocho, a lot of times when you say a player isn't playing well,
Speaker 8 their fan base or family members or even them think you're trying to discredit what they've already done.
Speaker 8 I cannot take away the all-pro, nor would I attempt to. I can't take away that Pro Bowl, that defensive rookie of the year.
Speaker 8 You've got that.
Speaker 8 But what that got to do with how you playing right now? That's still on your resume.
Speaker 36
You know what? I would love. I wish I had it in front of me.
See, I'm on the road, so I don't have my other computer in front of me. Look at some of the numbers on how he's played this year.
So
Speaker 36
I would have to do my homework first because I don't watch the Jets significantly. I watch all the games as a whole.
You know, watching the TV copy, it doesn't give you
Speaker 36 a fair way to judge or assess how an individual player is playing until you get to see the numbers. So, I mean, you would know better than me because I haven't been able to watch the Jets
Speaker 36 outside of Justin Fields and what Justin Fields and Garrett Wilson are doing. So
Speaker 36
I got to check that out. I got to check that out.
But I know one thing: if you don't pay a player $30 million,
Speaker 36 I'm just saying, you don't pay a player $30 million if he's regressing
Speaker 8 from his rookie year.
Speaker 36 So that's why it's hard.
Speaker 8 He does not look the same. And
Speaker 8 I don't think anybody that watch, if they're being honest, can look at and say, you know what? Yeah, Sauce is the same guy we saw as a rookie. He's not.
Speaker 8 He is not.
Speaker 8 Jets have employed 19 full-time coaches over six decades. Today, Aaron Glenn became the first to start his tenure with five straight losses.
Speaker 8
The coach that is known for his defense, the Jets are on pace to allow the most points in franchise history. Glenn states that he has no plans of taking over play calling from D.C.
Steve Wilkes.
Speaker 8 Ocho, we've seen very few black coaches get time to figure things out.
Speaker 8 Do you believe
Speaker 8 because we saw Steve Wilkes in Arizona,
Speaker 8 we saw a last year coach
Speaker 8 in New England.
Speaker 8 Do you believe that he's going to get an opportunity to figure this thing out?
Speaker 36
Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.
It's his first year, huh?
Speaker 8
And obviously, one of the it was Steve Wilkes first year. Yeah.
It was what's the
Speaker 8 what was the coach in New England last year?
Speaker 36 Gerard Mayo.
Speaker 8
Gerard Mayo. Right.
It was his first year.
Speaker 36 Yeah. But obviously, you know,
Speaker 36 they want it for.
Speaker 8 Okay, so what if, what, so what is, what if another coach is out there?
Speaker 8 You say they want it for Abel. Okay.
Speaker 8 What if they want somebody else and he's available?
Speaker 8 I don't know.
Speaker 36 I don't know.
Speaker 8 And you know what?
Speaker 36 If anything, you would think the Jets would have a head start and have success on the defensive side of the ball because
Speaker 36
that was their identity. That's always been their identity.
Their defense was really good
Speaker 8 their defense was really good i'm not sure what's going on now but if there's one thing you you probably thought you wouldn't have to worry about when it came to football season or this season starting is the jets defense yep just focus on offense and hoping justin field justin fields is your answer for the foreseeable future yeah the jets had us fooled up ojo because we looked at me when they had zach wilson and they said oh if they just and i'm saying that's a here and what that's what that's what made them go out and get aaron rodgers yeah i said now but you say you're under the premise that the defense is going to be just as good, if not better, because if they have any slippage, the quarterback's not going to be able to overcome that.
Speaker 8
That defense hadn't been the same since you got to go back. Zach Wilson, you got to go way, way back to talk about that defense.
Don't nobody fear that defense now? No.
Speaker 8 They don't. Justin Fields constantly running for his life, sacked five times for 49 yards.
Speaker 8
It's they're a mess. Yeah.
They are.
Speaker 36 Hey, you know another thing, too? I'm not an officer coordinator, unc, but most of the time you have officer lines. I think about, I think about the Bengals, I think about the Jets.
Speaker 36 I think about other quarterbacks that are in situations where the offensive lines aren't that good.
Speaker 36 I don't understand for the life of me if you know, if you know the officer's in life, not good, put your quarterback on the sitter and just run quick game.
Speaker 36 Just run quick game. I don't understand what
Speaker 8
happened, though, too. They fell behind so quick, they couldn't get to the bottom.
Okay, think about it. Brees Hall had 14 carries for a buck 13.
Speaker 8 but you behind i mean they were behind i mean dallas the score was 23 the score was 23 3 at the half the score was 30 to 6 uh at the end of the fourth at the end of the third quarter how the hell are we gonna run the ball locho we down 23 3 at the half we down 30 to we down 30 to 6 in the third quarter ain't no more running you ain't got no choice receivers run your ass and get open that's the running you're doing the running backs i'm sorry you blocking or you chipping your way out duh that it is what it is yeah and And you know what's funny?
Speaker 36 But see, the bills are built a little different.
Speaker 36 A high percentage of the time, anytime Josh Allen is in shotgun,
Speaker 36
it's a pass. Yes.
A high percentage of time, anytime Josh Allen is out of center, it's a run. Yes.
Every so often, he'll be in shotgun.
Speaker 8
He'll try to throw you off. Yeah.
It's definitely a telltale.
Speaker 36 But
Speaker 36
I don't know. I don't know.
It's still very early in the season, but now that we're in week five,
Speaker 36
should, everything should be churning. Offenses should be churning.
You should be hitting your stride. You should be hitting your rhythm at this point.
Speaker 36 Defenses should be ahead of the A-ball because all you got to do is read and react.
Speaker 36 That's it.
Speaker 8
And sometimes, OJo, you know, you have these expectations of defense, but you don't really know. You hope, you think.
Yeah.
Speaker 8 That team, because every year we have a team that comes up, our springs up out of nowhere. Yeah.
Speaker 8
The playoffs. We have an offense that like, damn, I didn't know they had this in them.
Or we have a defense.
Speaker 8 And then we have teams that we expect take a step back, be it offensively defense or team as a total in totality. Right.
Speaker 8 I thought the Jets would be better.
Speaker 8 They got to do better than this, son.
Speaker 36 Hey, but
Speaker 36 0-5. You know how difficult it is to climb out of a hole?
Speaker 8 Oh, you ain't. Oh,
Speaker 8 you do realize in order to be 500, you'd have to win five straight.
Speaker 36 Straight. Yeah.
Speaker 8
Five straight. What's the likelihood? Hell, they they can't win one in a row.
How the hell are they gonna win five in a row?
Speaker 8 And it doesn't get any easier. What's the schedule? What's the Jets? Next five games.
Speaker 8
They are. Broncos.
They got, so guess what? They go to Denver at Broncos.
Speaker 36 You know what's gonna happen?
Speaker 8 Okay, they're home to the Broncos.
Speaker 36 They're gonna beat y'all. They're gonna beat y'all.
Speaker 8 Oh, they got y'all locho on the schedule.
Speaker 36 Who?
Speaker 8 Jets.
Speaker 36 They playing in Cincinnati. They playing
Speaker 8
in Cincinnati. Broncos, Panthers, Bengals, Browns.
Okay, they got Broncos, Panthers,
Speaker 8 Bengals, Browns.
Speaker 8 Ooh,
Speaker 36 that's tough.
Speaker 36 That's tough.
Speaker 36 They might be 0-1.
Speaker 8
Shoot, 0-8. We know one thing.
The Broncos can get after your damn quarterback.
Speaker 36 Absolutely.
Speaker 8 And Jalen Hurts.
Speaker 36 Wait, and listen,
Speaker 36 the one thing you do have for Jalen Hurt, I'm talking about Jalen Hurts, for Justin Fields is he can run. He can move.
Speaker 8 They don't give him a chance to move. Because by the time he gets the snap, somebody, if it's somebody on it.
Speaker 36
In his face. Yeah.
Yep.
Speaker 36 Damn.
Speaker 36 Well, you want to do everything you can to start fast, but a hole,
Speaker 8 it's hard digging digging out of a hole.
Speaker 36 Listen, 0-5 in New York?
Speaker 8 Yep.
Speaker 36 Man, please.
Speaker 8 Oh, Joe, the Texans dismantle a beat-up Ravens teams 44 to 10. Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, who's that?
Speaker 36
Don't do that. Don't go.
Don't do that. Don't do that.
Speaker 36
Because when you talked about the Bengals, you didn't say beat up. You just said lost to the Bengals.
Just say the Houston Texans dismantled the Ravens.
Speaker 8 Don't dismantle them.
Speaker 8 You're going to let me finish the reader, though.
Speaker 36 Yeah, go ahead. Go ahead.
Speaker 36 Finish it.
Speaker 36 Don't try to solve it.
Speaker 8
Now to a shocking one-in-four record. The Texans scored six touchdowns in four games.
They scored five today. The 44 points is the most by team in a home game in the John Harbaugh 18 season era.
Speaker 8 The Ravens are on pace, 35.4 points per game to shatter the Panthers' 2024 NFL record. Most points allowed, 534.
Speaker 8
John Harbaugh said, John Harbaugh said after the 34-point loss that Zach Orr will remain the defensive coordinator. I don't think that's the answer.
We have to go to work is what we need to do.
Speaker 8 We need to stick together is what we need to do. We need to find ourselves, and that has to do with coaches, players working together.
Speaker 36
Absolutely. Well, listen.
I don't want you to say foot or ball with that Ravens helmet. Go get that Ravens helmet for me.
Speaker 8 Go get that. Is it the closet? Huh? Is it the closet?
Speaker 36 That's exactly where it belongs. Trapped in the closet.
Speaker 36 Y'all was abysmal today.
Speaker 36 Y'all were horrible today. Y'all were horrible offensively.
Speaker 8 Y'all were horrible today. They were horrible on all sides of the ball.
Speaker 8
CJ Stroud. This was the best C.J.
Stroud has looked since his rookie year.
Speaker 36 Rookie year. I was just going to say that.
Speaker 8
23 of 27. 244 yards, four touchdowns, no interception.
He was sacked twice. He had a 99.9 QBR.
They ran the ball 33 times for a buck 67.
Speaker 8
Nicole Collins had a touchdown. Hutchinson had two touchdowns.
Noel had a touchdown.
Speaker 8 Cooper Rush.
Speaker 8 I don't know who. Look,
Speaker 8 we don't need to talk about this, but we know Cooper Rush is not the answer. If Cooper Rush is the answer, I need to know the question that you're asking.
Speaker 8 Oh, anyway, he was 14 of 20, 179, three interceptions, sacked once. Derrick Henry had 15 rushes, uh, 33 yards, and a touchdown.
Speaker 8 Uh, uh, Keon Mitchell had three for uh eight yards, Justice Hill had one for three yards. Zay Flowers had five catches for 72 yards, D-Hawk, two for 46.
Speaker 36 Wait a minute, how many interceptions did Cooper Rush have?
Speaker 36 Three. Three, how many interceptions did Jake Brownen have?
Speaker 8 Three.
Speaker 36 Okay,
Speaker 36 so so that mean
Speaker 36 that means
Speaker 36 they score 44 on y'all. They ain't scored 44 on us.
Speaker 8 They took a knee on the 10-yard line. What?
Speaker 8 They took a knee on the 10-yard line. Y'all coaches didn't know.
Speaker 8
Y'all coaches didn't know you couldn't put the ball. Y'all put the ball and we didn't land in the landing area.
And so they got the ball down to the 10-yard line. It could have scored again on you.
Speaker 36 He scored 44 on your team. 44.
Speaker 8 That's not your team.
Speaker 8 That's not your team.
Speaker 36 They scored 44 on your team.
Speaker 8 Oh, okay. I thought you said that was your team.
Speaker 36 Listen,
Speaker 36 you're talking with a little too much volume in basic
Speaker 36 team that just lost 44 to 10.
Speaker 8 Yeah, but look.
Speaker 36 Yeah.
Speaker 8 OJo, you're already down Vanoy, Mattabeek, Hump, and
Speaker 8
your safety, Kyle Hamilton. Yeah.
So you're down four starters there, and you're down Lamar Jackson. And your defense was already struggling.
Speaker 8
So you're down four starters on the defensive side of a defense that's already struggling. Well, wait a minute.
It ain't gonna get no better.
Speaker 36
It wasn't gonna get no better even if they was healthy. Because when everybody was healthy, they still wasn't doing nothing.
They still wasn't about nothing. Now, the only chance you do have.
Speaker 8 I'm glad you said that because it reminds you of the Bengals, right? No, because when Joe Burrow was healthy there last year, they was giving up 30 a game.
Speaker 36
Let me finish. Let me finish.
Any chance y'all do have, the only promising hope
Speaker 36
for Ravens fans, for that organization to to even compete. Boy, you need eight, boy.
You got to have Pompano's finest out there in order to compete.
Speaker 8 Well, it doesn't look like Heat Bro probably be back.
Speaker 36 How long are you going to be out?
Speaker 8
I don't know. They say one to two weeks, one to three weeks.
It all depends on how,
Speaker 8 uh, hold on.
Speaker 8 Oh, Kyle Banoy played today. He got a sack, oh Joe.
Speaker 36 Oh, oh, you don't say.
Speaker 36 And
Speaker 36 it didn't work, huh? It didn't help though, huh?
Speaker 8 Nah. It don't mean nothing.
Speaker 8 They needed more.
Speaker 8 Look,
Speaker 8 ain't no easy way to say this, but it's not going to get better for the Ravens, Ocho.
Speaker 36 Yeah, yeah, I know it's not.
Speaker 8
They're not going to get better. And it seems like that loss opening night that they had that lead, it took a lot out of them.
You hate to say one game, Ocho, but you were in this situation.
Speaker 8 Remember, it had them on the ropes last year in the playoff game, and you lose that one in heartbreaking fashion.
Speaker 8 you had a big lead in the game starting them uh what was that sunday night and you lose that one and they really never got their footing back after that
Speaker 8 um
Speaker 8 yeah what's baltimore give me baltimore's next five games ash it it doesn't look like it's gonna get any better oh it's not it's it's definitely not it's gonna get better for us before it get better for y'all i can tell you that
Speaker 36 I can tell you that. And I say that in a respectful manner as someone who loves the Ravens.
Speaker 8 Rams, they got the Rams next.
Speaker 36 That's a loss.
Speaker 8 Bears.
Speaker 36 That's a loss.
Speaker 8 Vikings?
Speaker 8
Dolphins. Oh, Dolphins.
That's a win. They got the Dolphins.
That's a win.
Speaker 36 Okay, I might be. Vikings.
Speaker 8
Them Browns. Them Browns.
Oh, they're going to beat the Dolphins. Everybody beat the Dolphins.
Speaker 36 So
Speaker 8 y'all going to beat them. Oh, why are you talking? Your Dolphins got crushed.
Speaker 36 They did.
Speaker 8 Carolina beat them.
Speaker 36 Wait, the score of 27-24, you talk about crushed.
Speaker 8 They won. I had a lead.
Speaker 36 Huh?
Speaker 8 Y'all was leading.
Speaker 36
I know, but you say we got crushed. We didn't get crushed.
And the Panthers have been playing some good ball. But you see, Bryce Young, what you talk about?
Speaker 36 It ain't like, oh, the Dolphins got crushed. No, the Panthers.
Speaker 8 The Dolphins got beat.
Speaker 8 Carolina. Carolina put foots in them.
Speaker 36 Hold on. Carolina, the same team that just beat the goddamn
Speaker 36 Atlanta Falcons 30. Was it 38 or 30?
Speaker 8 We ain't talking about the Falcons. I'm talking about your Dolphins.
Speaker 8 You know what, Ocho? All your teams,
Speaker 8 the Bengals and the Dolphins combined. Oh,
Speaker 36 I know you're not talking because we just talked about your Ravens.
Speaker 36 Listen, the Bengals don't have, we don't have a quarterback.
Speaker 8 Oh, the Ravens got a quarterback? Huh? The Ravens got a quarterback?
Speaker 36 Yeah, I mean, I mean, your defense is bad, though.
Speaker 36 You talking about the Bengals defense. Look at y'all's defense.
Speaker 36 What you mean?
Speaker 8 Oh, Joe. But see, your thing was the Dolphins were up 17-0.
Speaker 8
Oh, look at it now. Now look at it.
Now look at it.
Speaker 36 Hey, we was up 17-0?
Speaker 8 Yeah.
Speaker 8 Yeah.
Speaker 8 And then what happened?
Speaker 36 It seemed like Brex Young did it. What he needed to do.
Speaker 8 No, no, no. Look, the Texans, the way the Texans play, this is the way people expected CJ to play his second year.
Speaker 36 Right.
Speaker 8
The way he played today. This is the best C.J.
Stroud has looked since his rookie season.
Speaker 8
They ran the ball 33 times for 167 yards. Nick Chubb, 11 for 61.
I mean, look, Nick Chubb was really, you know, the only thing. CJ had one, had one run for 30 yards.
He looked pretty fast to me.
Speaker 8 I guess he found the fountain of youth over the last couple of days but anyway they look they this was a total team where they was a dominant they dominated ain't no way around it they dominated the ball game cj was poised in the pocket he only missed two throws and then you get the ball you run the ball for over 150 yards uh and then you sack the quarterback
Speaker 8 uh you only sack the quarterback once but
Speaker 8 I'm trying to think, 179 plus 44.
Speaker 8 They barely had over 200 yards total offense. When you go on the road, you can go into a team's building and hold them
Speaker 8 179 yards passing, 44 yards rushing.
Speaker 8 Yeah, you did something good.
Speaker 36 Hey, what I told you before the season started?
Speaker 36 Before the season started, what team did I have high praise for in the watchout for?
Speaker 8 Carolina Bears.
Speaker 36
Bingo. That was it.
Yeah. I told y'all.
Speaker 36 I told you. Like you said, there's always a team that comes out of nowhere that surprises us.
Speaker 8 Right.
Speaker 36
Told you. I told you.
I told you. I told you what Carolina was going to do now.
Now I know they beat my team.
Speaker 8
Yeah, they did. Beat the brakes off them.
Hold on, but we watch y'all 17.
Speaker 36
Hey, listen, we're missing the key ingredient. We're missing the key component to our offense.
A game changer.
Speaker 8
We're missing. He ain't coming back.
So get, y'all, they were getting beat with him in the lineup.
Speaker 8 Ain't that what you just told me? Hold on. Okay.
Speaker 8
CJ was 23 of 27, 244, four touchdowns, zero interceptions. Davis Mills comes in, two of four, 23 yards.
So as a team, they were 25 of 31, 250, four touchdowns. Like I said, CJ looked very good today.
Speaker 8 He's very comfortable.
Speaker 8 You can't, if,
Speaker 8
I mean, coach, he can't complain. He ain't got nothing to say.
He said, hey, guys, this is the way I expect us to play.
Speaker 8
This is how I expect us to look, regardless of who we play, regardless of where we play. This is the level is that we should, this is the level we should hold ourselves to.
Yeah.
Speaker 36
That's the first thing I'm going to say, regards to who you play. Because remember, everybody's heard it for the Ravens.
So looking like you look today,
Speaker 36 looking like you look today, you're supposed to when all the starters aren't out. When all the elite players defensively are out.
Speaker 8 Not
Speaker 36 against a team that's healthy
Speaker 8 sometimes what have we seen teams do play down to the level of competition competition yeah they did all them guys out you mentioned lamar being out you missing you mentioned those defensive guys being out beat hell out of them
Speaker 8 because see now john harbor can't go in there and lie to him right guys we were close if all we need to do is stick together no hell no
Speaker 8
I'm gonna beat you so bad, you're gonna start to splinter. You're gonna start to point fingers.
You're gonna start to look at each other, man.
Speaker 8
If he's studying like he's supposed to, man, I wonder if he's giving it there. That's the kind of dial.
That's what I try to sow.
Speaker 8 I'm not playing down to the competition. If your guys are not in there, I'm trying to hang half a hundred on you.
Speaker 36 And the funny thing about it is
Speaker 36 when you have injuries, right?
Speaker 36 The first thing people do, when you have injuries and things aren't going well, the first thing they say, well, we need to change a position coach or we need to change a defensive coordinator.
Speaker 36
Well, that's not the problem. That's never been the problem.
I don't care who's calling the plays. It's up to those that are on the field to execute whatever it's called.
Speaker 36
That's it. Everybody has an assignment.
Everybody has a job to do.
Speaker 36 When all 11 people are doing their job collectively the right way, winning their individual battles, every down, down one, down two, down three,
Speaker 36 everything will work fine. But sometimes it takes having your starters in there to do it the right way.
Speaker 8 Right.
Speaker 36 When they're out, they back up for a reason. They third string for a reason.
