The Lions defeat the Cowboys and pretty much dim any light or any hope, possibility that there was going to be a playoff run for the Cowboys this year by the score of 44-30.
Jared Goff was 25 of 34, 309 yards and a touchdown. Jameer Gilles had three rushing touchdowns.
David Montgomery had another one
and a couple of field goals as they win this thing by the score of 44 to 30. Dak Prescott was 31 of 47, 376, one touchdown, two interceptions.
He was sacked five times.
They ran the ball 24 times for 91 yards. CeeDee Lamb left the ball game after taking a vicious hit.
He went up to catch a pass. His head hit the turf.
That was the first thing to hit, Ocho.
And I knew he wasn't coming back because you saw the rig of mortars, the stiffness of that hand.
It was a no-go. Although he possibly wanted to come back, that wasn't going to happen.
Ryan Flenor came in. He had nine for a buck 15.
So again, the Cowboys have two receivers over 100 yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the onslaught that the Detroit Lions put on them tonight. And again, it was their defense that let them down.
In the three-game winning streak, Ocho, they were middle of the pack. We know what they were before that
winning streak. They were almost at the very very bottom.
They were 31st in yards allowed and points allowed.
They kind of reverted back to what they were in the past, and it caught up with them again tonight. And so the Lions win, keep their playoff hopes alive, and dim possibly any chance the Cowboys had.
Let's see if the Cowboys can win out. There's still a chance.
They got four games left. Can they win out
and catch the Eagles or somebody else in the playoffs?
It remains to be seen. But Ocho, the Cowboys in order.
And I think the Cowboys have a good team, but they got to get some better defensively. They've got to get better defensively.
And I was just going to say that defensively, they've been playing good, huh?
They've been playing good defensively.
But obviously, in games like this, this is one of those games where when they needed it most and they had to have it, where they actually had opportunity, despite having two turnovers, obviously, you know, you paid double for those.
Despite having two turnovers, you had a chance to come back in the game, but you weren't able to stop them on defense when you actually needed it.
And for the Lions, I'm not even giving credit to the goddamn offense. I know the offense scored 44 points tonight.
I know they scored 44, but that goddamn defense,
Muhammad played very, very well. He had three steps on Dak.
And
I'm not sure what the Cowboys offense was doing. Understanding that if you have anything over three-step drop for Dak, you have to chip and help the goddamn tackles out.
You got to help the tackles out because in space one-on-one, they're getting beat every goddamn time.
It seems like they were doing that with Hutchinson, but they forgot about Muhammad on the other side.
Because if you noticed, Ocho, they were doing a lot of chip, a lot of doubling on Hutchinson, but they were leaving Muhammad single block. And he made him pay.
He made him pay.
And that's what he should do.
But for me, Ocho, the defense, they need, look, hey, Cowboy fans,
I want to know, did Quinny Williams? or Kenny Clark, did they play tonight? Because y'all had to say, y'all had a lot to say to me and Ocho a couple weeks ago.
Oh, I thought you said this trade wasn't going to help. I thought you said this trade wasn't going to do nothing.
We don't need Micah.
Now, I want y'all to tell me the cowboy defender that got 12 and a half sacks. I want you to tell me the cowboy defender that demands a double team.
They do realize that Michael Parsons leads in double teams.
He's third. He, Miles Garrett, and TJ Watt are like one, two, three chips.
So I want to know what defensive player that you got that commands a double team. And you can say, you know what?
Hey, he can double. So that means somebody else is going to eat.
Tell me the guy. Because I'm looking at the chats.
I'm looking at all these guys.
If I didn't know better, if I didn't see it with my own eyes, I would swear Quinny Williams. I would swear Kenny Clark didn't play tonight.
Y'all keep, oh, Joe, Deron Bland ain't the same.
Did you see Gibbs shake him on the sideline? But you know what? You know what happened right there, Uncle?
Yeah, I don't take it up for him, but you understand right there. The sideline is your friend.
If the sideline is your friend, you know that, you come under control and stay to it stay to his inside shoulder why why are you running full speed trying to tackle somebody that you know is shifty
and you already know gibbs got more moves than a thousand dollar hooker so you know he's gonna be letting oh oh you already know this he shook him so bad oh cho
he shook him so bad he just laid on the ground out of bounds chat y'all saw it chat if i'm lying if i'm lying look tap me right now y'all saw what he did pretend like we didn't see it but we saw it listen call the rule number one as a defender i know listen i know i don't play defense but even i know you got to come to balance the shiftier the player is you got to come to balance you know and you you take away the angle the sideline is your friend right there for deron bland you don't you don't run in there hauling ass out of control you're gonna you're gonna lose that every time 10 out of 10.
oh joe what you want to talk to the you want to talk to the uh uh uh the lions defense how many times did cee d lamb spin out you know cd lamb ocho that's his move you know cd lamb gonna spin out and come back inside and they overrun it every time
yeah
i just i
i think the cowboys have them look
i know you saw this when they kicked that field goal they got mad at george they got mad at george pickens They took him out on the drive to that, what you call him, Flenor, ended up scoring?
Because Pickens loafed on the route and Dak threw it to him. And Dak was looking like, what are you doing? And that next drive, they came and they went down to score.
And Florida, Pickens didn't see the field. Now, he has a tendency.
He's been great thus far. He has a tendency to drift, Cocho, when he doesn't get the ball or things are not going well for him.
He has a tendency to drift. He's been sensational.
And if they had won this game tonight without CD
and with Pick being somewhat quiet, man, I'd have had to put Dak way, way on the I'd had to put Dak.
I might have put dak in second place on the mvp because to do what he did man he made flenoy like hold on you mean to tell me flenoy could be
listen
no disrespect to lenoy but you know it's easy when you're one-on-one nick once cd went down you you know what the game plan is from that point on hey we're gonna shell we're gonna we're gonna shell we're gonna two we're gonna 55 goddamn wherever three go wherever three go we putting two on him it don't matter we could play underneath we could play over top we got to make sure he's not getting the ball and i think probably i'm not sure what coverage it was when he did loaf.
But Dak was like, listen, I'm coming to you anyway. I'm coming anyway.
Yeah.
And right before the half, Ocho,
Tesla, he had it.
But whatcham had already made up his mind that he was throwing this ball out of bounds at the same time. Ocho, he cooked 34.
I don't know 34 name. I don't remember, Ocho, but he had it beat so bad.
I'm like, bro, how you get beat on boy? They might have cut you on the sideline. If you gave up a touchdown, Ocho, with four seconds.
That's a half. Yeah.
Oh, my God. Especially in that situation.
It's all about situational awareness. Keep everything in front of you.
Keep everything in front of you. And make
simple.
Simple.
But I don't, Ocho, I don't understand.
I mean, you, I mean, when you go on the field, you kind of understand as an offensive player, okay, do we have timeouts or do we not have timeouts? What's most important?
Is an extra three yards more important or preserving the clock?
Preserving the clock, obviously, excuse me, is more important because we don't want to burn our timeouts until we absolutely, positively have to. So, you understand that.
So, you understand where we are in the field. Where do we need to get? Okay.
Hey, where do we need to get as far as a field goal?
Do we need a touchdown? Because my mind is that even though we might need to get a position on the field for a field goal, my mind is touchdown.
Because I don't want to leave it up because of so many things. A miss-snap, he hook it, he shank it, it gets blocked.
So, if we put the ball in the end zone, I'm not worried about the kicker unless he's bringing his ass on the field to kick the PAT.
As a defensive team, as a defender, Ocho, you got to understand the situation. Okay, we're up.
Nothing cheap, nothing deep.
Okay, if they get a first down, we're going to make them get five, six, seven first downs. But what I'm not going to give you is a chunk plate.
I'm not going to give you, let allow you to get what you need is like six first down. I'm not going to allow you to get four of those in one plate.
I'm not going to let you throw this ball over my plate. I'm keeping everything in front of me.
But I don't think enough guys have understanding what they call situational awareness.
You got to play situational football. And not only that, that has to be talked about: understanding the situation at hand.
Someone has to say something.
Someone on the sideline has to communicate that. This is what we're going to do
based on the time. And if the coaches don't say it, at least the players got to have some type of situational awareness and situational awareness and knowing what we have to do.
in this situation
hey i was always the guy a guys hey, first down, first down, get out of bounds. We only got one timeout.
We got two timeouts. We have no timeouts.
Guys, get out of bounds.
Don't fight for extra yards because the last thing you want to do, Ocho, is fight for extra yards and then somebody rip it out. Or that clock keep going and you can't save no time.
Get your ass, get your ass out of bounds. At this point in time, the clock is our enemy.
The team is not our enemy, the clock, because a lot of times you just run out of time.
If we'd had 10 more seconds, if we'd had 20 more seconds, well, let's just make sure the clock remains our friend and we get out of of bounds and we get to stop it every time.
But look, when I look at the Cowboys, now everything is really contingent on being able to keep CD. But, Ocho, they got some issues on defense.
They got some issues on defense.
They don't rush the passer well enough. They don't.
That touchdown that Gibbs got in the end, Ocho, that was too easy.
Somebody
was supposed to feel. What a fucking Mike.
What a
guard. The guard had to pull and lock him up.
That's the only way.
If I'm not mistaken, I think that was the center that pulled, Ocho.
i think it was the center
i think it was make it like that if the center does if the center does pull and grab the backer the safety got the field right away
but it wasn't it wasn't nobody over there but 34 so you you so let me get this straight i got a center or guard and i got jameer gibbs with the guy with the defender in between me and gibbs i like that matchup i like i like my chances of getting that ball in the end zone yeah see but they got some ocho they have some issues they got got to address.
Jerry, you can't fool yourself. Yes, you guys had 400-plus yards,
but you gave up 400 yards and you gave up 44 points.
Had you not blocked the kick, you'd have gave up 47. You gave up 47 points.
And you know,
they played good the past few weeks, though, on the defense has been the talk of the town. Obviously, the offense is playing good, but the defense has been the talk of the town.
The defense gave those that are Cowboys fans, it gave us hope.
They even gave me hope the way they was looking. And it's because the team is built to play with the lead.
That defense is built when the Cowboys have a lead and they can just pin their ears back and go because now
you put the other team in a one-dimensional situation. I have to throw the ball.
I can't do nothing else because I got to get myself back in the game.
Now, what they were able to do against the Eagles when they were down 21-0, that was phenomenal. In order to be able to come back from 21-down,
a three-score deficit, you got to play good defense. You have to.
They showed up in that game.
But the difference is, we already know. They knew the Eagles are going to get conservative.
The one thing you know about Detroit, they're not going to get conservative.
Now, I thought they got a little conservative on, they ran the ball twice into the line, and then Goff dropped back and hit Amon Ross St. Brown on the crossing route.
And, you know, he almost split it. But Goff had nine incompletions.
He really should have had eight because he hit Armin Ra between the one and the four. He dropped it.
I don't know what he was thinking. I don't know if Armin Ra didn't think he was going to throw it that back.
The tight end flashed before him. I think they were in the wrong place at the same time.
I think it was
Jamo.
Wasn't that Jameson?
I think that was Jameson that was a little higher. They was in the same place.
And it seemed like as soon as Armin Ra got, because you know it's coming, because the backer just go into the other, he don't really know.
So as soon as you you get behind that backer, the ball's coming. And it was almost like the ball surprised him.
It's like the ball was on his way.
And when he got from behind the backer, it was on his way. You know, the funny thing about it, I think he saw J-Mo at his peripheral vision.
It was like, well, wait a minute, man.
Am I running the wrong route? Are you running the wrong route? And it threw him off. And for the Cowboys,
and I think because the Eagles are playing so bad right now, I think the Cowboys are going to be okay. I think the Cowboys are going to be okay, but they're going to have to win out.
Especially with the schedule schedule that they have left, it's winnable. It's winnable, especially with the way that offense is playing.
It's contingent on how long CeeDee Lamb is out. I'm not sure he's going to have to go to concussion protocol because it's.
Oh, he's in concussion protocol, but they get a week.
They play next Thursday. They got the bike.
He got time. He got time.
Wait, who they got next time? But, boy, they're going to be cautious, Ocho, because, Ocho, you see that?
That ain't no thing, Ocho, I got Dean, and you know, I was able to get up.
Boy, A,
when that brain does that,
that brain really hit up against that score.
They're going to be ex.
Look, I understand, and Jerry, they're going to want him to go, but boy, you don't want to be fooled. You don't want to be fooling with a concussion like that, OJ.
You're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right. I mean, listen,
but I knew the moment when I saw the replay,
and I saw his head, the first thing to hit, I saw, oh, he's done. He ain't coming back.
He ain't coming back in this one. But the Cowboys, look, the Cowboys' offense, they're going to be, look, I like Javante Williams.
The offensive line, okay, the tackles a little.
That's not the starting left tackle that's normally there.
Steele has, and Steele didn't play bad. I thought he did a pretty good job with the exception of a few plays where Muhammad got through.
But, oh Joe, they got to get better defensively.
They've got to.
They've got to try to find a premium pass rusher. Oh, whoa,
it's too late to find anything.
No, no, no. No, I'm saying this year.
I'm already talking about, I'm already talking about, I'm talking about 26. I ain't talking about this year.
Hell, ain't nobody they can get, ain't nobody they can get.
Maybe Trey Hendrickson. Maybe, I mean, he's available.
I mean, I don't know. Maybe the Steelers are willing to go get off TJ Watt,
but they've got to do something. And they still have draft capital.
They still have a first-round draft pick.
They still have some pieces that they can possibly move, but they've got to get better defensively, Ocho.
I like what you just said right there, too.
I like that. Let that marinate a little bit.
Cowboys fan, what do you think about that? TJ Watt to the Cowboys. That'd be nice.
That's a nice little piece. I'm not sure if
that's something that
is feasible. You know, because you got to pay for that, man.
That ain't just know anybody. We talk about a future Hall of Fame.
Well,
they got a first-round draft pick.
They got an extra pick from the Packers.
So it's still a possibility.
So, you know, a draft pick, maybe it takes a first and a fourth, but to get a premium, a guy that you have to account for. Now, Clowney hurt them being out tonight.
You know, he had a hamstring injury, and it's reported that he warmed up before the game and he wasn't able to go.
Because there have been times that Clowney has been playing really well. Offensively, I think they're good.
I really do. I think they're set.
I love Ferguson. I like Ferguson when they had Dalton Schultz.
And I remember having a conversation with Skip. I said, Skip, Ferguson
is better than Schultz. Yes, sir.
And he proved that to be. Now, Schultz is not a bad guy, but he proved that
and the Cowboys went with him and gave him a long-term deal.
But everything is contingent on George Pickens.
It doesn't matter what you do, because CD is not enough by himself.
You put CD and Pickens and Ferguson together with Javante Williams. The offensive line is good enough.
It's not great, but it's good enough. But, Ocho, I don't care how great your offense is.
Without defense, you can't give up quarter to court. You can't give up what they give up.
and it is too easy i thought bland and and and i thought bland
bland been getting work this year
i think they're gonna move on from digs i think he wants to move on i think they want to move on maybe a change of scenery will do well for both guys they need a play they need a linebacker a wilson is not the answer murray is not the answer i look i i think the d tackles are good i like you know i don't know if you're going to keep a ziggy i don't know if you're going to keep all three of them ziggie Kenny Clark, and Quinny Williams.
I don't know if you're going to keep all three of them, but I think they're very good. But you need a guy that can, hey, you need a hell raise on that edge that somebody's got to account for.
Now, I'm not saying you got to have a Miles Garrett, but you have to have
a tier two guy. Miles Garrett is a tier by himself.
Basically. Basically.
But they told me, Ocho, I mean, Jared said he didn't need Micah. That's what Jared said.
And it convinced the fans. The fans even started talking bad about Micah.
Most definitely.
Obviously, you know, anyone that's a part of the Cowboys organization, anyone that's a loyal fan, they will always see and find the wrong,
the wrong, or they find the right in agreeing with the owner who owns the team that they support instead of actually using common sense and understanding how great that player is, even when things don't go right.
Making excuses, well, he wasn't able to do this. You know, Jerry saying, well, we weren't able to win with him.
Oh, quitty. And we weren't able to win with him.
Quinny Williams had, what'd he have? Four tackles. Where's Kenny Clark? Kenny Clark, Kenny Clark, Clinton Clark, Clinton Clark.
Kenny Clark had three tackles.
But one side, Ocho.
First of all, you already know. Ocho, you already know Jared Goff isn't mobile.
You got to get him off that spot. You can't let him just let his back foot hit and throw it.
He's going to pick you ass apart.
If anybody was going to get him off his spot, if anybody was going to make him uncomfortable, it would have been
young bull.
God damn it.
His hamstring. His hamstring.
Clowning was hurt tonight. And I don't want to be disrespectful and say he's
their best pass rusher, but he's been the most consistent. Maybe not getting sacked, at least adding pressure on passing downs when it mattered most.
Yep, you're right.
You're right. And tonight,
it didn't happen. And
look,
obviously, you're going to play extremely hard.
But, but
this one hurt.
This one hurt, Ocho. This one really hurt
because
you really could have put some pressure on the Eagles and a lot of other teams. In the NFC, yeah, most definitely.
How bad do you think it hurt them? Being that other.
Oh, well, they got a 5% chance. Let's see.
The Eagles. Because here's the.
Who the Eagles got next? How many?
The Eagles have eight wins.
So
Cowboys, the Cowboys,
theoretically, they still could catch the Eagles in which the division. They went out and the Eagles go two and two.
I don't see the Eagles continuing to play bad, though, for some reason.
I just don't. I see them, even though we're in week 14, 15.
I don't even know what goddamn week we're in. I see them turning around and
making the plays offensively and defensively when it matters most. Defensively,
they didn't look too good last game. They didn't look good too.
But how long is that going to
happen? Well, you know what you call him out, right?
You know, Carter's out. He had procedure on his shoulders.
Yeah.
So
that back end is solid, though.
Even with Jalen Carter being out, the back end is solid.
Who the Eagles got? Who the Eagles got next?
But, Ocho, I will say this. I don't know if I've ever seen a call what Ferguson got called for.
I've never seen that call before.
The swim through?
Yeah, all you do is. What are the referee looking at?
I don't know. In order when you change in direction, and some
the Eagles have the Chargers on Sunday. Oh, my goodness.
And they still, don't they have the Commanders again, and they have the Giants again, right? No, the Commanders twice. They have the Commanders twice.
Chargers, Raiders, Commanders, Bills, Commanders.
Okay, they got got the Commanders twice, and they got the Raiders. Okay.
And the Bills. Raiders, that's a win.
The Chargers is a very good game. You're going to have to put some points up.
You're going to have to put some points up.
Mm-hmm.
I don't know.
And then you got two Commanders and the Raiders. I mean, the Commanders.
It's Jaden.
And you got the Bills. And the Bills got to fight hard because they're two games, three games right now.
behind the Patriots.
They lose another game, the likelihood of them winning that division, So they got to fight for a wild card. So they're trying to do everything they possibly can.
Like I said, I just,
the call that was, look,
I didn't think the game was officiated too well. I mean, Pick can't get that.
I mean, Pick, I get you go get his face, but you got to let it go.
Oh, Joe, you got to let it go. Oh, Joe, you out here like this and you got the man face, man.
Locho, everybody can see this. Your arm extended, the man hair down.
Dang off. Yeah.
Right.
Right. And
you got to like, you got to make that quick. Yeah.
If anything, open that thing up like this.
Yeah. Let it go.
Yeah. Hey, but he grabbed it.
So, uh,
but uh, I thought Dak was playing well considering that he lost C.D. Lamb.
Um, and he was under the rest the entire night.
He got out of some stuff because I thought I had him dead to right a few times, but he was able to keep himself alive and make some plays down the field.
Uh, but defensively, you can't give up 44 points. You give up 44.
There are not very many games that you're going to win
giving up 44 points, especially if your offense turns the ball over twice. Because
that's two possessions that you don't get any points out of. Hey, what up, y'all? It's DJ Envy from the Breakfast Club.

So,
oh Joe, something happened that hadn't happened since January the 6th of 2007.
LeBron James did not score double figures. So after 17 years,
1,297,
297 games streak is over.
He's sitting at eight points. He had the ball in his hands.
He had a chance to shoot the game-winning shot. If he makes it, he gets 10.
If he misses it, it goes into overtime. But what does LeBron do?
What LeBron has done? He's done his entire career. He always makes the right play.
They double AR because AR had it going tonight. He had 44.
He had 44. The ball swung.
The ball gets to to LeBron. He drives the ball.
They come. He swings the ruin in the corner and for a wide open shot.
Now, see, everybody's going to say, hey, good job, good job, good job. But
if that was you know who, I ain't going to call. There was two players.
They'd have took the shot. But LeBron James has always made the right play.
He's gotten criticized by some of the greats.
Saying, look, I know that's the right play, but in that situation, you being the best player on the court, I want you to take that i have a question but that's not how you require but but i have a question in situations like that think about situation michael jordan kicking it out the curve understanding making the right play i think it's about having awareness and when you're supposed to take that shot and when not there are times when being the best player on the court you take that shot you take it But if you don't have a good look, it's no need to force a shot when you know visually and you can see out your peripheral.
Okay, I got Ruby sitting over there in the corner. I'm going to drive.
I'm going to draw everybody to me i'm gonna kick that thing out so we can get a clean open shot that he can hit to win the game and the fact that the fact that people criticize lebron for making the right play is the fun that's the funny part
it makes no sense um
i think the thing is ocho maybe who knows i still think he makes the right play had but he struggled from the field tonight i think he he was what three of 17 so he didn't have it he didn't have it going uh tonight.
The last time Braun scored under 10 points, Twitter was less than a year old. Bronny was two years old.
George W. Bush was the president.
The iPhone didn't exist. Instagram didn't exist.
Harry Potter's Harry Potter series wasn't finished. Kevin Durant wasn't even in the NBA.
Nick Saban had just left the Miami Dolphins. Well, goddamn.
Let that sink in.
That's how long it's going to have been. 1,297 games.
Hey, what was Nick Saban with the Dolphins? I remember him there because I remember the story.
2007, right?
Hey, please say you heard the story about Junior Seal and him having problems with all the players at the Dolphins because
he was very strict. His coach is coaching.
He got a coach. He got a coach kids.
Hey, Uncle,
Shannon Crowder told me some goddamn stories, boy. I'm talking about, I was in tears.
I'm talking about.
Ronnie Brown was there also. That's when they was running.
I think that's when they were running.
Was that the Wildcat when they were running the Wildcat? Or the next year?
But anyway,
LeBron James was 417, 005 from 3, which tell me he wasn't aggressive, OJO. You know why I say he wasn't aggressive? Not one free throw attempt.
But he did have 11 assists and no turnovers.
AR had it going. 13 of 21, 5 of 11, 13 of 15.
He had 10 assists, 5 rebounds. Remember, I told y'all Austin Reed's going to be an all-star.
You think
he's going to make the all-star?
Absolutely. 1,000%.
He's averaging like 27 points a game.
And they're the number two seeds. I have a question.
Is he able to average that much because LeBron is taking a back seat and a role in facilitating the ball as opposed to picking and choosing when to take over games or when they afford themselves?
Him and Luca.
Yes. Yes, because the ball is mainly in him and Luca's hand, and LeBron is playing off the ball.
So
it's not very often that you're going to see a guy that's as credentialed as LeBron be the third option.
Well, I mean, I guess Kareem theoretically was the third option by the time they got him and Magic and Worthy.
But
look, it's been a struggle for him. I think the thing is him not being able to train this offseason like he wants with that sciatica, missing as many games as he did.
He can only miss two more games.
So I think it's out of his, like, he knows he can only miss like another two games in order to be an all-NBA selection or make any of the
teams.
I think that's out the window now. I just think the thing is, and
he's probably this is going to be the first year that he averages under 20 points a game. He'll probably be somewhere around 16 to 18 points a game.
And
I don't see him playing past this year.
I mean, listen,
I wouldn't make that call, you know, this early. You have to remember, it's still very early in the season.
And the fact that he wasn't able to have training camp, he might be bringing himself along very slow.
Understanding that Reeves and Luca can carry the goddamn load and pick and choose when he wants to insert himself into the game.
And the fact that he has a self-awareness to not have that, not allow his pride or his ego to get in the way and being able to facilitate.
and picking and choosing and allowing the game to come to him. If the shot is there, I'm going to take it.
If I'm out of rhythm like I was tonight and I wasn't able to get my shot flowing, I'm going to get everybody else involved.
Most players, obviously, those that are hungry, they're going to shoot it and keep on shooting no matter how many times they miss.
Well,
he shot 17 times. I mean, he only had the second most shot attempts on the team.
They just wasn't balling tonight.
And his shot hadn't been with the exception of maybe a handful of games, that game that he had 25. The shot.
But other than that, it's been a struggle for him to find a rhythm, to get into a rhythm.
Because look, Luca's dominating the ball. Luca's normally going to take about 10 to 12 shots in the first quarter.
If you notice, Luca always gets off to a hard, hot start.
He's averaging somewhere between 16 and 20 points in a quarter. So he's getting a lot of the shots.
Austin Reed's getting a lot of the shots. So it's kind of hard.
He can do it. Like he said, the most important thing is for them to win.
But it is tough. And, you know, look, I'm old enough to remember.
I remember, excuse me, chat, when Jerry Street got broken, consecutive games and passes. He was in Seattle, and uh
it was sad. And uh, he still holds that against uh Bill Callahan because he felt Callahan could have given him an opportunity.
What was Jerry's streak? Like 270 games? I think it was like 270 games.
I don't think anybody's gonna break it.
I think Jerry caught, I think Jerry had a catch of like 18 straight years. Damn,
19.
200. Think about it, Ocho.
He caught a pass in 274 consecutive games.
From 80 from December 19, 85 to September 19, 2004.
From 85, December of 85 to 2004.
You think somebody's going to break that record, Ocho? Absolutely not. I mean, it'd be difficult.
Because first of all, you've got to play at least 19 seasons as a wide receiver. He's the only one that's ever done it.
Can you imagine catching the ball every goddamn game for that long?
That long? Hold on, no. Okay, oh, Joe, how many receivers have ever played 274 games?
Let alone catching a pass. How many have played that many games? And how many would be able to stay healthy that long to be able to even come close to breaking the goddamn record?
Let alone playing 19 years or 20 or whatever it may be.
Hell, I think I don't even think I played. I don't think I played like 210 games.
And he caught a pass every one
Every single game
Crazy
I remember when Pete Rose streak got broken
He was out of streak. I think it was 44 straight games getting a hit
Well, you know what
that is?
Yeah, yeah, that's why Joe DiMaggio's streak ain't gonna be broken 56 games
Yep
and then he got then he went out and I think he had another streak where he went 17 straight games.
But look, at the end of the day,
when you say
you play the right way, because had he taken the shot, everybody, you know what everybody was saying. He's trying to keep that streak alive.
He passed it up, make the game, win, and play what he was afraid to miss. He ain't got the killer.
He's not an assassin. He's not an akiller.
So he's in an unattenable situation.
Damn if he does, damn if he don't, yeah.
So it's uh, they got the win. Rui hit a big-time shot.
Uh,
Rui, uh, 12 points, he was four or nine, two or three from three, none bigger than the one that he hit. Uh, DeAndre Aiden has been playing really well.
Uh, I love the way, I love the way DeAndre Aiden is playing defensively. He's sliding, he's getting isolated a lot.
He was isolated on uh uh Brandon Ingram.
I thought he did an unbelievable job of sliding. I thought he did an unbelievable job of challenging.
Obviously, you know, at the rim, being able to put the ball in, he was 8 for 11.
He had 17 points, 8 rebounds,
2 blocks.
You could live with that. You can live with that.
But the streak is over. LeBron, start another one.
Hey, hold on. And you know what? I just saw somebody in the chat, you know, the chat going so goddamn fast.
Somebody had the nerve to say, I know ain't nothing wrong with my ass. I had the nerve to say oh lebron is breaking down
i mean i could have sworn lebron just averaged 25 25 8 and what was it last year
yeah he averaged well the first year that he he average he was 24.7 so it was the first year that he didn't average 25 in 25 seasons in 20 seasons But 24, 8, and 7 ain't bad.
This year, he looked like he's going to average somewhere between 16 and 18 points a game.
But 16 and 18 points a game when the most points anybody has ever, first of all, go look at Vince Carter, what he averaged in year 22. Go look at what anybody has ever averaged in year 20.
Look at what somebody's averaged in year 19. So
nobody's ever had these kind of numbers, and the likelihood of somebody doing them again is not very likely.
Yeah, but okay, yeah, okay, he's 41.
41. Look at all the miles that he's got on those legs.
All those playoff games, all those minutes played. Yeah, they catch up with you.
Even if it does catch up with him, somebody like that that is is 41, he's breaking down and still betting everybody else that gets even close to that milestone or be that's played that long.
You still averaging 16, which is probably going to be more than 16 once he continues to get his legs up underneath him. Yeah, he's just coming back.
Who has the next closest streak, the most uh consecutive uh double-figure game? But it's somebody like they're like a thousand, like a thousand games short,
maybe even more.
Cooper flag was 15 days old.
The next closest Ocho,
KD got 267.
So KD is 1,030 games. You think KD is going to be around to play another 1,030 games? That's tough, huh? Boy, that's tough.
That's 13 more years. So he'd have to play 31 seasons.
How old KD now? What? 30, 30, what?
He ain't playing another 13 seasons.
KD, 39, 36. Okay.
So that means he'd be playing with 49. SGA is the next closest at 170.
Damn.
Hey, man, I mean, that achievement and longevity is remarkable.
Remarkable. It is.

Oh, Joe.
You got to see this. Video has surfaced of the University Buffalo wide receiver Victor Snow stepping out of bounds on his way to the end zone.
Snow had nothing in the way of a touchdown except himself. He stepped out of bounds in the third quarter, down by 15.
Take a look at this.
Okay, he got it. Look at this one.
I see it in the corner.
He runs out of bounds. Oh, he's not.
Wait.
What is he looking at?
Nothing. Is he standing at the the damn jumbotron?
He's staring at the parlay.
Hey,
I would love to hear the explanation behind that. Please tell me they have a conversation with reporters after the game on why that happened.
They will.
Bro, bro, you came out better, not even catching him. Man, come on, what are we doing?
What are we doing in that situation?
Were they losing? Were they losing? He came out better, Ocho. He came out better.
Were they losing?
They were losing
by 15. Something ain't right.
Down A. Something ain't right.
But we need to go ahead and
check his cell phone. Check text messages.
In the third quarter, Ocho, it's 28-13. Oh, hell nah.
I'm finna house that. And buddy, buddy way behind him anyway.
You can't
say you was running out of...
You didn't.
You try to preserve the clock.
We wanted to keep the clock running. You down.
Something ain't right. And
I've never seen that before.
That's a touchdown. You run out of bounds?
Well, it should have been a touchdown. It's not a touchdown, but it should have been a touchdown.
That's what I meant.
And
I think the thing is, Ocho, is that when you make it so obvious,
a lot of times, like, you know, you see guys are betting. Oh, he's going to, he's going to throw a pitch for a ball.
He's going to throw a pitch for a strike, or he's going to hit the batter.
Those are things that are, that, that, you know, those are normal plays that we see every single day in a baseball game or drops.
We don't see this, Ocho. We don't see a guy run out of bounds with his teeth.
We see a guy take a knee.
I mean, people get upset when guys take a knee and all they got to do, they're going to hit their parlay because they're going to hit the spread and guys take a knee at the goal line.
And people get upset. In this situation you're behind
this is an opportunity for you to get closer oh cho now you score a touchdown you kicked the pat now you're down uh 28 to 20.
i'm confused by this i thought i was like oh okay well at first i thought it was the i thought they were winning
but then when i go back and look at it and i see all the comments they're like hold on They were losing. Why he run out of bounds and they losing?
I'm asking that very same question.
Why he run out of bounds they losing you the first thing i said is was he looking at the jumbotron because looking at the goddamn jumbotron and looking up i can that's the only way i can see you actually losing you know awareness of where you actually are on the field
oh cho he on the left side oh cho he on the left sideline the drumbotron this way
i can see
I can see if you're on the right side and you looking at the Jumbotron and you, you, you, but you look at your eyes carrying you this way, so your body's not going to drift out of bounds.
And if you look at Ocho, he puts the blinker on. He turns and runs out of bounds.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's point-shaving off.
Oh, Joe. And the thing is, he ran out of bounds and quick and turned around and came back in.
Like, yeah.
Even his teammate grabbed him, like, bro, what you doing?
Chad, I know y'all saw his
teammate grab him, like, bro,
what you doing?
I wonder if they scored on that drive
i don't know
but i know i'm surprised the nca or the fbi ain't had a conversation oh they gonna have it they're gonna have it they're gonna have it they definitely gonna have it somebody gonna have to have something hey let me let me see your phone young fella and all the messages you deleted we let we can we can oh you okay you can't delete nothing we can get them back don't worry about it
yeah all that's in your that's all all that's in your i cloud
yeah it's uh
it's it's it's crazy it was crazy that that what's that's what's going on now
I don't know I don't know how you get it back ojo
I don't know how you I don't know how you build back the trust that what people are seeing are real
because for the longest time ocho you know hey I had people tell me go home and people say man man it's sharp that game fixed any man they told such and such to do this they told such
i don't know what they told somebody but they ain't never told me nothing so i didn't get the memo I hear it all the time.
But now, after what's been coming out, and that some people are like, okay, they didn't play, or they got the under or they did this.
Man, trust is everything in the public when they're dealing because they got to believe what they're watching is real, or else it's WWE.
And the funny thing about it, too, is when I think about it, I think about all the hours we put in. And how the hell can it be scripted? How the hell can it be, how the hell can it be rigged?
You know, based on the work we put in. Well, who the hell are they going to talk to? Because it's 11 people on the field.
And it's hard to control the outcome of a game, you know, unless it's the person that actually has control of the ball most of the goddamn time.
Yeah, but think about it, Ocho. We just said, now, I'm not saying anything, but I said I've never seen a call what they called on Marcus.
I've never seen a guy go arm over and he get called for a holding. I mean, for
an offensive pass of the fears what the refs doing tonight huh
that's what i'm saying
and they're they're the ones that can impact a game the most they absolutely can impact the game the most and that that was ridiculous
i just it's just it's just sad i i just hate it and i just hope like like you know i'm saying hey he just had a brain malfunction and he just tweaked he started tweaking and he went out of bounds on yo but this is not a good look this is not a good look for college sports this is not a good look for sports because everybody's going to start seeing anything that doesn't seem on the up and up.
People are going to start questioning everything. They was already questioning it.
Now it's about to go to a teen. Yeah, most definitely.
But it was
ugh.
Damn, son.
Oh, Joe. I mean, bro, you're 20 yards from a tub.
Something ain't right.
Something ain't right.
The boy like my granny used to say something in the milk ain't clean.
Oh, hell no. Hey.
Hey, he point shape, huh?
Come on, oh,
man.
It's definitely not a good look.
Now,
maybe, I don't know what's happened. I don't know if he's been suspended.
I don't know if he's had a call from his conference. I don't know if he's had a talking to from his coach.
I don't know if any of the higher-ups, the FBI or whomever in charge of
gambling, probably the FBI. I think that's the FBI department.
That's an investigation. So the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
I don't know what has happened, but this is not a good look, Chad. And I think you guys understand, too.
I think this is a situation where this is not. This is a horrible, horrible look.
And it could be a big old nothing, but it damn sure looked like a big old nothing. That was no big old nothing, my ass.
Uh-uh.
What you're not going to do is insult our intelligence, especially not just me, not just you. The people that actually watched the game of football have never seen anything like that.
And if you want to insult our intelligence, hell, we can get the CIA involved too, then.
So, uh, so what did they do with it? Have we, do we know what they did with him? Did they suspend him? Did they do video really started surfacing today? Okay. I assume
I assume the NCAAs talked about it.
Oh, Joe, one day after being claimed by the Buffalo Bill on waivers from the Steelers, cornerback Darius Slay has informed the Bills he will not be reporting to the team.
Slay had been a healthy scratch in week 13 and seemingly fallen out of favor in Pittsburgh. So the two sides have mutually agreed to part ways.
Adam Schefter reported that Slay wants to continue to play. Since Slay was released between the trade deadline and the end of the season, NFL rules require him clear waivers.
before he can become a free agent. That did not happen as the Buffalo Bill put in a claim on the 34-year-old.
Slay does not want to play in Buffalo.
However, Tom Pellisero reported that Slay has informed the Bills he will not report to the team and is contemplating retirement.
The Bills are likely to let Slay manipulate his way out of the situation.
When Anquan Bowden signed with the team before the 2017 season, when the playoff drought was broken, he'd been retired after two weeks before the season began.
He later asked the bills to release him so he could play elsewhere. Bean refused to grant Bowdoin's request and retained his rights.
Ocho.
Well, I think players don't want to go to the bills. What's wrong with Buffalo? They got Josh Allen.
Ain't nothing wrong with Josh Allen. Going to a team like that, you have a quarterback, but there's a chance you're going to be in contention.
Defense is decent.
I would love to go play with Superman if I was the defensive back, but I think Slay might be chilling. Slay might want to make a move and go back to Philly.
He might want to be able to have a chance to go back to Philly and help him out in some way, shape, form, or fashion.
That might be it. Or maybe, you know, I just don't see in understanding how much Slay loved the game.
That has to be his move. I think it's a chess move.
Obviously, we both have the same agent. I don't play anymore, but still, we both have the same agent in Drew Rosenhouse.
And I know Drew is going to give him... the right information that he needs if that's what he's trying to do.
And Drew will do in due diligence behind, you know, behind the scenes, behind closed doors, so Slay can get exactly what he wants.
And I personally think if it was going to be a move, I think he would love to go back to Philly as opposed to Buffalo.
Yeah, they know that. That's why they're not going to release him.
You think they play hardball? So,
yeah, for sure.
For sure.
That's why they claim him. A lot of times people would claim players.
They get released. They would claim players.
So I want to make sure you don't go to a competitor that's somebody that we might have to play
what if we release what if we let him go then he goes to philly we end up seeing philly in the super bowl and we and now we got to deal with slate
now we got to deal with so no i i i don't know i don't because all all they're going to be on the hook for is the last what whatever pro rated of a 1.3 million dollars left because i think he signed an eight nine million dollar deal he got seven and a half of it up front So the rest of him, so it's really nothing.
So, yeah, I agree with you. I think that's what he wants he wants to go back to philly i don't think he ever wanted to leave philly no
but you know they you know uh if they went young uh
uh uh my kid and mitchell you heard me they they went young they went they went young
they did of course
it's the nature of the business i i think slay is still a very very good quality corner very good quality corner and having that veteran presence in that locker room honestly for me i wouldn't i wouldn't want him to leave either i wouldn't want him to leave.
But defense has been playing well. Hope you.
You can only play so many people. You got a quarterback on the big contract.
You got two both the receivers making big-time money.
Look at your offensive line. Look at how much Lane Johnson, My Lotto, Dickerson.
Look how much money they're making.
He had a team-friendly contract, though.
He didn't at first.
They released it. They released it.
Yeah.
And so now we got guys coming, and they had to resign Bond. Yeah, they did.
You got Jalen Carter coming up. You got Mitchell coming up.
You got Jordan Davis coming up. You know what I'm saying? You got Mitchell.
You got Junk.
Oh, Joe, you can't keep everybody. As good as you draft, you're not.
I don't care how much money you got and how much you want to keep everybody. You're not going to be able to keep them.
You're not going to be able to afford them. That's my dog.
Hey, wait a minute. Well, maybe Slay might come back next week.
He might come back next week because the Bills do have to play the Bengals.
You know,
Personally, I wouldn't want to come back a new team and have to deal with Chase and Higgins.
No? You don't think so?
It's really cold up there.
That's football weather, man.
Not for no significant other having to sit outside.
They got Sweets.
Man, please. You don't like the Sweets in Buffalo? The Sweets in Buffalo, nice.
Man, that man, they try to play money like that, don't
You don't think so?
You know how much sweets cost? Not that much?
But sweet.
Clearly, sweet ain't number 10,000.
Clearly, you didn't have a sweet.
No, you didn't. Not for no $10,000.
Yeah, yeah.
How much?
Not even, not even, not even in Cincinnati. Can you get a sweet for $10,000?
I probably say the cheapest sweet would probably be
a couple hundred thousand. What?
Unc, ain't no sweet cost $100,000 now. Come on now.
Boy, the sweets, the close you get to midfield, they cost a million dollars. What the hell you talking about? What kind of sweet y'all? What, man, what is you talking?
Oh, Joe, you do realize most sweets, they come 12, 16, 18, 24, 30. That's what sweets come in.
Hey, you know what's funny, um?
You know what's funny?
Is I actually had a sweet and I don't remember how much it cost but I guarantee you because as as as fiscally responsible as I was if it was anything like the numbers you said I would have told my homeboys and family but y'all got to sit y'all ass in the stands when they get to November
how many how many how many first of all how many uh
how many uh
how many people fit in the suite uh let me see it's it's two rows at the front you got all the food then you got the bar you got the bar stool you have to pay for the food the food don't come with the sweet you have to pay for the
everything everything comes I mean it's part of the package
No, it's not yes, it is
You have to pay in the you have you get the sweet and then you have to pay extra for the food. Nah, I got I got a discount on I think that's what it was.
I got a discount You got to understand
Let me tell you something.
Listen, I'm I'm
You can't get it for per game. No, yeah, you got to get it for the season all eight games.
You got to get it for all eight games
You
got to understand for me, they might have gave me a discount because I wasn't just a player. You hear me? I wasn't just a player for the Bengals.
I was a part of the Brown family. You hear me? I was.
It like I was so integrated and a part of the family. I'm not saying I was adopted, but there was a point where I won't change my name to Chad Brown Johnson.
Like that's that that's the that's the kind of relationship I had with ownership.
75k
I can't I can't wait to hear these numbers
uh
yeah closer to center field because I remember me and Ray had one this was in 2000 and we were next next to the owner's box and we played a quarter of a million
damn a quarter of a million, and the food did not come free.
Oh, hell, hey, hey, I like this. Oh, I like this.
I like this topic right here, boy. Hold on,
I can like this topic. This is a good topic.
Oh, this is a good topic.
We're gonna have to, we're gonna have to, we got to put a call in to see how much.
I'm calling, I'm calling right now. Hold on.
Come on, answer the phone. Don't do me like, don't embarrass me in front of people.
Come, company.
Oh, he embarrassed me in front of the company. God damn, TJ.
Because
damn, he answered the phone.
Hey, I'm not. Now you got me curious.
A quarter of a million for a sweet? Yeah, because we, we like obviously the owner's on the 50-yard line. You know, the owner's on the 50-yard line.
So, we got we had the suite right next to it.
So,
probably, Ocho, in between the 20s, is where you're going to pay the most. Obviously, you start getting the corner and then the end zone.
That's what, because you see what they call
at the Super Bowl. Them sweets at the Super Bowl be two, three million dollars.
That's crazy. And y'all, and honestly, at the Super Bowl, those aren't the actual fans.
Oh, no, no, no, it's basically a corporate event, huh? That's all it is.
And the thing is, Ocho, you have to give your suite up.
If the Super Bowl is in your state, let's just say for the sake of argument, you got a suite in Cincinnati, and the Super Bowl in Cincinnati, that's not your suite. That belongs to the NFA.
Yeah, you're right. You're right.
They got to make their money. Yeah.
They got to make their money. They're not playing by that.
Yeah. I'm like, hold on, wait a minute.
I mean, I'm just like, I'm like,
God damn, a quarter of a million, boy. Oh, hell.
Oh, yeah. Oh, Joe.
It's expensive, man.
But look, most of the time, you know, who has the suites, the quarterbacks, the really high dogs.
The big boy.
And, you know,
you don't want your wife's, you know, because when I was there, the only guy that had a suite was John. When I was in Denver, the only guy that had a sweet was John.
Nobody played that high up. I mean, that's not.
Everybody had to sit outside that had family members.
Yeah,
because it wasn't nobody, but bro, he was the only one making big money like that, man. You can't afford no plate, no $100,000.
You got to realize $100,000 in the 90s, but OJO was a lot of damn money.
Yeah, I mean, it's a lot of money now, but I'm saying back then when you have people not making $100,000. When I first, my first two years, I didn't even make $100,000 a year.
I made $63,000 and $73,000.
Damn. So, hey, give me them $125 tickets.
Because
I think my first year, I think the tickets were like, nah, it's still like $70. What do you think tickets cost now?
What's the difference in ticket prices now?
Probably $200, $250 for players' tickets. Because you still get two comp, and then you can buy, and then you can buy.
Yeah,
you can buy as many as you want because it's coming out that goddamn check. And hey,
it all depends on who you playing because there are a lot of times, like you playing Kansas City and the Raiders, nah, or you playing the Cowboys, uh-uh. They up the price?
You have to, but you have to get somebody. Hey, let me get somebody else tickets.
Because, you know, my tickets were always in the same area. So, you know, my mom come and, you know, my girl.
So I got, you know, I'm going to get like
right there.
You know, when I went out, you know, I ain't had nobody. I didn't want them to sit where my family was sitting.
So I put them, you know, I put them over there, other side. You over here.
Okay, you ain't want nobody, you ain't want to, you ain't want nobody to see your.
Okay, okay. Mm-mm.
Okay.
Where your mama said, don't worry about that. Don't worry about that.
Don't worry about that. Yeah.
You not sitting with her. So that.
Hell no.
Okay.
No, everybody can't get the
privilege.
Nobody. Oh, so you're not the type.
When you're dating somebody, everybody meets your mama?
Hell no.
okay
well you know that's that's very important because you know your mama tell you about your girl you know before anybody else she knows she can she can read them trying to think once
they met cookie in college
she met yeah but it takes a night you ain't just finna meet off the rib
because your mama gonna tell you the truth and baby this ain't the one
that didn't happen yeah okay i got you i got you well you know
Because that might, hey, oh Joe, it just might be a might be just a convenience store. We just stopping to get some kids.
funny thing about it you heard what you just said it might just be a convenience store your mama let you know that's the run it's gonna be she gonna know i mean i already knew that
yeah i don't need mom to tell me that
i don't i don't need mom to tell me that i i knew that going my bad
let me get out you get out your business my bad But you know, hey, but you know, but everybody wanted to go to the game because Broncos been sold out.
Broncos got the second largest sellout behind the Washington team. So tickets ain't easy to get.
Everybody can't get tickets going to the Broncos game,
and so you know, is it still like that right now? Even, even,
yeah,
yeah,
I know it's like I know the tickets price is crazy, but the Broncos been sold out. I mean, the Broncos been uh sold out since
I don't know, 70, 75, 77, something like that. They've been sold out for damn near 50 years.
God damn, y'all, fans loyal.
Oh, could he,
But
look, everybody, look, I'm sure she told,
I'm sure she's told people. Nah, but she would.
Really like the first girlfriend, me though. My mom met.
My mom met at the game. She get there like, oh.
Hold on, huh. I said, Mama, I said, Mama, you going to be sitting next to my girlfriend?
So, okay.
Tell us more about Cookie, huh?
Nah, I ain't nothing to tell you.
Ain't nothing to tell.
We got plenty of time. We got two hours to go.
Nah, we ain't got no time to tell.
Nah, who we are. Hey, I know.
Hey, I can tell you like her because every time I say cookie, you start blushing.
I see you. I see you.
Okay.
I already told you about cookie. I told you
I watched her for about
two weeks.
Come in the cafeteria by herself. I mean, she had some girlfriends because I knew a girl, one of her girlfriends was a cheerleader.
So I knew her girlfriend for a couple of years.
So when she got there,
I was a junior when she was a freshman. And watched her go.
I watched her come go into the cafeteria herself. She leave, walk back to a dorm.
The girls' dorm, the freshman dorm, was Lockett Hall. I watched it because I watched the OJO.
I'd be in the bathroom.
I go to the short hall, the short hall, and I'd be looking at the bathroom with it. Hey, okay.
Hey, can I tell you something real quick before you finish?
This sounds like some love and basketball shit.
Yeah, I like that. I don't know about no love and basketball, but OJO, I sit and watch it just like this here.
Damn. I'm just waiting.
I said, I know she got somebody. I know she got somebody.
Right, right, right, right, right, right.
So you know what? I'll never forget that day. I was like this, OJo.
I said, shit, I finna go.
I hit that door. Oh, open that red out there.
I said, hey, hey.
Hey, I said, what's your name?
She said, my name is. I was going to call her Cookie.
But she said, I was like, hey, you got a boyfriend? She said, no.
I said,
where you from?
She told me she's from Brunswick. Oh, she's from Jersey.
Brunswick.
Oh, Jersey. My bad, my bad, my bad.
Okay. Yeah.
I said, okay. So we talked.
I said, I'll see you around. She's like, okay.
Oh, what?
So, no, so she's like, she was like, what's your name? I said, Shannon. She said, Shannon Sharp.
I said, yeah. She's like, okay, okay.
Oh, hey, hey, honky, in there.
Hey, Honky was in there. Because she already knew who you were.
Hey, When you said Shannon, she was like, oh, Shannon Sharp, you already know you're in the game. But everybody, hey,
everybody knows Shannon.
So, you know, I watched it. So the next day, I see it at the class walking in the hallway.
I say, hey, how you doing? She said, hey. She smiles, okay.
But I had told my roommate at the time, I had already told my roommate, I said, that's going to be my girlfriend. He said,
the light-skinned chick with the short hair? I said, yeah. Hold on, she's a light-skinned with short hair.
Hold on,
like the little pixie cut, like with the little curls. Oh, like in the 90s.
Oh, tell me some more, huh? Hey, but this get good.
And
so
I said, uh,
you like football? She said, it's okay. I said, you need to come watch me.
She said, okay. She said, what's your number? I said, I ain't tell her my number.
I said,
I'll be real easy to spot. It's going to play you talking spicy, huh? That's what I'm talking about.
I said, I'll be really, I said, I'll be real easy to spot. You'll know who I am.
Hey, I say, probably the first two to three minutes of the game, there'll be no doubt which one I'm
out. Hey, boy, talk your shit.
So bad. And that's how I started, and you know.
Hey, so. But I, hey, and everybody knew I was for real about her.
Cause at that point in time, Ojo,
hey.
I said, uh,
I need you to do me a favor. She said, what you doing? I said,
man, they be tripping with
the washing machine, the dry. I said, people be stealing your clothes.
They be taking your stuff out. I said,
can you take my clothes to the laundromat?
She said, okay, sure.
She said, but I don't have no car. I said, I said, you.
Where you going?
Hey, right. Hey, that's how you go fishing right there, huh? You hear me? Huh? Hey, wash your clothes for me.
People be stealing it. Unknown, you threw the bait out there.
And she bit quick. You read that thing right on there.
What?
I know that game. I used to use that line too.
Yeah, man.
So,
so
I gave her the keys to the car. And hey, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't.
Man, ocho, how we stretching. And all of a sudden, my car, now I got a 200, I got a 300 ZX, T-Tops.
How about how she's going to come where we brought football practice with the windows down, the top out, and blow the horn?
Hey, um, let me tell you what that's called, um. Let me tell you what that's called.
You know, when you walk the dog, right? You know, you walk the dog. What's the first thing the dog do?
They, they, they go, they find their territory, and they pick
up. She's in a territory.
She's letting the boy know. She's barking.
Boom. Y'all stop trying to holler at me.
You see why I'm mad in the T-top with the PC cut?
I know she probably had on some shades too. you know.
Okay, okay, yeah, hold on a girlfriend. Hold on,
hey, what you think about rekindling that flame, though?
Nah, bro.
You don't think so? Nah, but listen, the story is so good. But I oh, I was, I look here.
But after the game, oh, Joe, we go out to eat, we go to rhymes, we go to movies.
You know, my brother, hey, I was, hey, my brother gave me like, if you score a touchdown, I give you $200. You get $100 yard of the game.
I give you $200, blah, blah, blah.
So I, hey, I have 200 yards, three touchdowns, four touchdowns. Man, I'll be straight.
So, you know, hey,
I'm going off camera. You know, we go to, we go out to eat.
We go, hey, I'm at Applebee's. I bet, I'm at a Chili's.
I bet, hey, I'm Ryan's. I'm everywhere.
Carry here, you got to go to the hotel.
You know, got a hotel out there. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
I don't know.
I'm back. You had the hotel, too.
Yeah, yeah.
Hey, I like this story, boy.
Yeah, there you go.
Yeah, my mom, my mom. You look,
my sister, my, but the thing was, Ocho,
I didn't really, it didn't really dawn on me. It didn't dawn on me.
My nephew had got sick, so he was
at the hospital in Augusta. And my sister's like,
I got to go to the hospital. I got to take Dietrich to the hospital.
That was my nephew's name.
So this was like,
probably was like.
Probably like March or April.
Because at this time, Libby had,
Libby met her?
No, Libby hadn't met her. I don't think Libby had met her.
But anyway, so I go, I drive, I say, well, look, I got to go to my,
I got to go to my, go to the hospital. My nephew's in the hospital.
She like, I'll go with you. I'm like, you sure? Hey, ain't nothing, ain't unclear.
So my brother, my brother was going to meet, he's going to meet me up there. So
I met in Augusta. And I remember going, I asked the lady at the desk, I say, Sharp, what room is Sharp in? So they tell me.
You know, I had started and got some flowers and stuff like that.
And so
I walk in the room, you know, hey, little bro. I said, hey, big sis.
Hey, how you doing? She's like,
I'm Libby. I'm Shannon's big sister.
She said, hey, how you doing? She introduced herself. And
we went to get something. And she said, She said, well, y'all can go.
And I'll stay. I'll stay right here.
I'll stay in the room with
your nephew, Shannon. I was like, okay.
So we go. We walking down the hallway.
You and Libby. And Libby, Libby, my sister.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Libby elbowed me.
Spanky, I'm Libby in the middle. I'll live in the middle.
I'm on one side, Spanky in the other. And Libby elbowed me.
Shannon. I said, what?
You know what?
I see what
she looks at Spanky.
Spanky.
She stopped in the hallway for him.
She says, Spanky.
who that girl look like who she look like
my brother's girlfriend oh they look they look alike
they could be sisters
i'm talking about everything the way they were shaped the way they would the way that the haircut the complexion her teeth everything everything the way she walked everything was a spin.
Now don't tell me they were twins now.
They could have been doppelgangers.
If I didn't tell you, if they stood side by side, you couldn't tell they weren't, sisters.
I like this. This is a good story.
Listen, ain't nothing like a supportive woman, especially when you meet them that early. She done, hey, hold on.
She didn't went and wash her clothes.
She done went with you to the hospital.
She done checked two boxes already. Now, this, me, this is sounding like someone that
this sounds like somebody you can spend a lifetime with, and it's never too late. No, you can find her.
Oh, Joe,
I was too young. I was too immature.
And a lot of, you look, a lot of times, like in that situation, you have to understand. And what she didn't understand is that all her girlfriends telling her you don't need to be with him.
And I told her, I said, all your girlfriends that's telling you you don't need to be with me, I guarantee you they would switch places with you.
Talk your hey, what?
I say, now you're going to let your girlfriends talk you out of a relationship.
Stop playing now. You know, misery love company.
company uh misery love company but yeah i was i was i was just like at that point in time i was still so focused and uh but i you know i would you know i would drive down i would drive to see her uh i would drive in the middle of the night um
see her
uh come back because i didn't believe i didn't believe i didn't believe in that i didn't believe in that mary porter wasn't gonna let me you know they they's like you could you could spend the night here i was like oh no oh absolutely oh oh man
mary porter ain't gonna play that because i was she gonna say well baby where you stay at last night. Oh, I stayed.
No, no, no, no, no. That's all.
Hey, you cooking right now.
Listen, it's never too late. So back then, you was in
it is too late. It's been too late.
Oh, Joe, that's 30 plus years. Hey, it ain't never too late.
We got to find cookie, boy. We got to find.
We're going to find cookie.
No, cookie, find cookie. I know you're going to see this.
Honey, let's rekindle that flame. Man, look, do you know how many people, how many people are going to call her? Oh, yeah.
I guarantee you, she'll call my homeboy tomorrow. Cookie.
Come on, come on, come on now. Let's get his name back right.
Because
we got a double-decker wedding coming up in 2026. No, we ain't got no double-decker wedding.
We already got, hey, oh, Shea, Shea already got, uh, uh, uh,
Shay already got something. Oh, you got something that works?
Yeah, hold on. Show me.
You got something cookie?
Yeah.
I mean, are they, do you like cookie? Because I like the story with Cookie. Are they supportive like Cookie? Yeah, yeah.
Hey, hold on, hold on, hold on.
You just wash your your clothes though.
I got people to come over and wash my clothes.
See what happens when you get money? See?
You don't change.
Or the dry cleaners.
Oh, you got money, money. You take your stuff to the dry cleaners?
Oh, hell no. Wait, you got...
