Today is Friday, April 25th, and football is back. So back.

Speaker 9 The draft, baby.

Speaker 1 I love that. Nothing like the draft.

Speaker 9 Although, the draft is way more fun when your team sucks ass.

Speaker 1 All right, I see what you're doing here.

Speaker 1 I would rather the team be good.

Speaker 10 Oh, for sure.

Speaker 9 But it is the truth.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, the end of the draft.

Speaker 1 Crazy draft? I don't really know. I don't know.
I mean, the Jaguars trade was crazy.

Speaker 9 That was a pretty nuts trade. Fleeced? Fleeced? I saw some of the different draft conversion charts.
Some people were saying it was an all-time fleecing.

Speaker 1 So the Jaguars. So, all right, so let's set the stage first.
Roger Goodell came out in a bike. That was weird.

Speaker 1 I know, I understand, obviously, it's the Packers tradition, but it was just weird seeing Roger Goodell on a bike.

Speaker 9 Well, you know why they do that in Wisconsin, right? Because the entire state has DUIs.

Speaker 1 Oh, yeah, that too. Yes, good joke.
I like that. I like that.

Speaker 1 They do lead the league for sure.

Speaker 1 But they came out, and then Clay Matthews, FCC,

Speaker 1 please arrest this man.

Speaker 1 I also think he lied.

Speaker 1 I don't think Donald Trump, he said the Bears still suck, and he said that Donald Trump sent him a message saying that.

Speaker 9 Yeah, which would be, Clay, you're doing fake news.

Speaker 1 Yeah, right.

Speaker 9 Clay Matthews is now leading the league and doing the anonymous fake sources that Mr. President hates so very deeply.
He should take away Clay Matthews FCC license.

Speaker 1 Can you arrest someone for misquoting the president?

Speaker 9 Send Clay Matthews to El Salvador.

Speaker 1 Agreed. That was bullshit.
And also, let's just say, let's just call a spade a spade.

Speaker 1 He has the entire NFL world watching him, and all he's thinking about is the Bears.

Speaker 9 That is a big rent-free moment for you. Big time rent-free.

Speaker 1 Big time rent-free.

Speaker 1 So, yeah, the draft started. Cam Ward obviously goes one.
We all knew it was going to happen. And then the fireworks started, or sorry, explosives.
Excuse me, explosives. Pew pew.

Speaker 1 Shefty promised us explosives. The Jaguars gave up pick number five overall, 26,

Speaker 1 126, and sorry, it was 36, 126, and a 2026 first-round pick to go up to two to get Travis Hunter. The Browns gave up number two overall, 104 and 200.

Speaker 1 Fleeced. Fleeced.

Speaker 9 There was a quote after the pick was made from the new GM of the Jaguars, Gladstone.

Speaker 1 I've got it right here.

Speaker 9 Boy Genius. Boy Genius, his first draft.
The quote was, there are players you can target and acquire who will alter the trajectory of a game.

Speaker 9 There are players that you can target and acquire that alter the trajectory of a football team.

Speaker 9 There are are very few, and it's rare to be able to target and prioritize a player who can alter the sport itself.

Speaker 1 Wow.

Speaker 1 Sounds like showhead.

Speaker 9 This is a sport-changing player. The game will never be the same.

Speaker 1 It will never be the same. If you're a Jaguars fan, I think you're...
We were talking out with Chaps. I think Chaps had the good idea.

Speaker 1 You play Travis Hunter as a wide receiver exclusively this year, and then next year you start having him play both sides of the ball, ball and you're like that was our 2026 first round pick Travis Hunter the cornerback that's the way you do it yeah I don't hate that also if if Trevor Lawrence throws an interception you've got a wide receiver that's really good at tackling that's true maybe force a fumble that's true turn a turnover into a turnover I love what the Browns did though because the Browns getting more draft picks

Speaker 1 they they are in you know purgatory right now or they're in hell with Deshaun Watson they know they're not going to be good next year load up some draft picks and still get a stud with Mason Graham, which is a little awkward because Mason Graham is the one who called Jack Sawyer a pussy in the Ohio State Michigan game.

Speaker 1 So a lot of Browns fans are going to have, they've probably said some choice words about Mason Graham, and now you have a defensive tackle you're hoping is going to be on the Browns for the next 10 years.

Speaker 9 All right, so if I was the Browns, would it be crazy to, because you got picks now in the second round, you can start the rebuilding process.

Speaker 9 Flacco might not be bad enough for you to get a top pick next year if he's your answer at quarterback.

Speaker 1 They could still take Shador.

Speaker 9 That's what I'm going with here. Yeah, in the second round, use one of these picks, get Shador.
Shador is going to be extra pissed at the Steelers.

Speaker 1 Yeah,

Speaker 1 good point. Yeah, also, Shador, that was a tough, tough draft party.
Yep. Well, tough draft party.
At least Gilly was there.

Speaker 1 Gilly is an all-time vibes guy. Yeah.

Speaker 9 So for the Jaguars, I was just thinking with their new GM, it feels like a picture-perfect moment.

Speaker 9 Like, if you're a Jags fan, you can almost fast-forward five years from now and hear the press conference.

Speaker 9 And I've heard a bunch of them in my career as a football fan where they're like, what have you learned on the job since coming in? Well, when I came in, I thought I had all the answers.

Speaker 9 I thought I had to make a big splash right away. And I've learned that you don't always have to make the big move to succeed.

Speaker 9 You can hear that press conference happening as this young GM is maturing into his role.

Speaker 1 Yeah, he's like, sometimes you got to wait and see and maybe not, you know, get over your skis and trade the entire draft capital of the future. Although

Speaker 1 a first rounder rounder next year, a lot of picks this year.

Speaker 9 Travis Hunter is really, really, really good.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Obviously.
Really, really good.

Speaker 1 I just think that if you're, the Jags are more going for it right now, whereas the Browns, I just like the fact that the Browns had the wherewithal to be like, hey,

Speaker 1 we're not a Travis Hunter away from being good again. We're a lot of picks away from being good again.
And Mason Graham is going to, I mean, Mason Graham is going to be a problem with Miles Garrett.

Speaker 1 And I like Mason Graham a lot. I think he's going to be awesome.
I just like what the Browns did. Credit to the Browns.

Speaker 1 Also, Travis Hunter, there was a lot of people making the joke, like you spent six months thinking you were going to go to Cleveland, then you went to Florida.

Speaker 1 I don't even know if that joke plays as much because Jacksonville.

Speaker 9 Well, it's the classic Florida or Ohio bit.

Speaker 1 Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 9 But yeah, at least the weather.

Speaker 1 Yeah, the weather.

Speaker 1 Abdul Carter goes to the Giants. Love that pick.
I think he's going to be a beast. Hank, Will Campbell.
Yep. Happy.
Fired up. Yeah.
He was crying.

Speaker 4 Said he's going to die for Drake May.

Speaker 1 Oh, I love it.

Speaker 9 Short arms.

Speaker 1 That'd be bad if he died.

Speaker 4 Obviously, it'd be very bad if he died. Right.
When you draft someone this high, that's what he's doing.

Speaker 1 Dying for him.

Speaker 9 Can I tell you why you should love this pick, Hank? Yes. All right.
So Vrabel, Vrabel himself took a hands-on approach with this draft pick to the point where I think they got into a fight.

Speaker 9 I think Vrabel and Will Campbell fought each other on the practice field. Vrabel went out there, put the pads on, played with him.
Vrabel says if that tape... Played with him?

Speaker 9 He said, if that tape ever gets out, people are going to have some problems. It was important to me to get out there and feel him and feel every player we evaluated on the line of scrimmage.

Speaker 9 That's pretty good.

Speaker 4 I would die for Vrabel.

Speaker 1 That's pretty good, Hank. I fucking love this.
That's pretty damn good.

Speaker 9 Per Mike Vrabel, Will Campbell is the best feeling player in the NFL draft.

Speaker 1 I mean, I do

Speaker 1 like Mike Vrabel being like, I have to feel it. I forget my scouts.
I need to feel this man to really know what I got. I love it.

Speaker 9 And Memes was being very mean.

Speaker 1 Very mean. Oh, yeah.
He made some Photoshops of short arms.

Speaker 9 Yeah. Well, no, the Photoshops were out there.
He was repurposing them. Some would say stealing.
Yeah. But memes would say repurposing them.

Speaker 9 But he was mostly saying that, Hank, congratulations, Hank, you got the second best O-lineman in the draft.

Speaker 9 Well, I said that to you. You said that to me later.

Speaker 1 But then once

Speaker 1 the best O-lineman in the draft, Memes?

Speaker 1 Our guy.

Speaker 1 And what did you want to say his name? Membu. I can't pronounce it.
Okay.

Speaker 1 But yeah, Armand? Armand. You can't pronounce Armand or you didn't know it.
No, no, I knew it was Armand.

Speaker 1 I don't know. Names.
Bad with names.

Speaker 9 But yeah, memes was saying essentially that the Jets got a much better offensive lineman than the Patriots got. Right off the bat.

Speaker 1 Yeah. That's why they play the games.

Speaker 9 But you didn't get the best feeling offensive lineman in the draft.

Speaker 1 I've never felt them, so I don't know. Yeah.

Speaker 1 The explosives also were a reverse explosive with Ash and Genti going to the Raiders, which everyone thought was going to happen for like three months.

Speaker 1 And then the last couple weeks, everyone's like, that's not what's going to happen.

Speaker 1 And then he ends up going to the Raiders, including Pete Carroll, giving Twitter clues that I still think he was just fucking with everyone.

Speaker 9 Yeah, that's what he did the first time. Yeah.
And then he's like, yeah, I'll just get online and fuck around.

Speaker 1 Yeah, fuck around. But so I spent

Speaker 1 pretty much the offseason being like, I don't want a running back going to the Bears. And then the last week, I was like, it's going to be Ash and Gentie.
And I love this guy.

Speaker 1 I would have voted for him for Heisman. And then I ended up, and then the Raiders take him.
And I was mad at myself.

Speaker 1 And I was like, wait a second, your initial feeling was to not overextend to get a running back. What are you doing? That's just how the draft works.

Speaker 9 Yeah, you know what it is? It's like you had, I think, the right plan.

Speaker 9 And then the closer you get to the draft, you just keep saying the words generational talent to yourself over and over and over again. By the way, the draft comps were all-time funny tonight.
Yeah.

Speaker 9 Did you see, like, I think Cam Ward, they compared him to Patrick Mahomes as his draft comp. With Gentie, it was Emmett Smith as his draft comp.

Speaker 9 Pretty high bar that they're setting there. Yep.
Those are,

Speaker 1 gamers.

Speaker 9 Also, credit to us, the NFL Talent Scouts, all the GMs, 32 GMs out there, Big Cat. Travis Hunter finished ahead of Ashton Gentle.
That's true.

Speaker 10 That's true.

Speaker 1 And now I can stop saying that if I had a Heisen vote, I would have voted for Ashton Genty. Yeah.
So that's nice.

Speaker 9 Yeah, but I think he's going to be a great running back.

Speaker 9 He's going to be awesome. They didn't really have much of a running game last year, so they needed it.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 And then we had Ted McMillan going to the Panthers, which I don't know if it was shock. I mean, he was one of those guys that it felt like some people people loved him, some people hated him.

Speaker 1 And Kelvin Banks going to the Saints, and then the Bears getting Colson Loveland, which I, so I don't know shit.

Speaker 1 I'm just going to go off of what I've read, and I'm just going to read you a couple things I've read. This is from Eric Galco.

Speaker 1 He said, New Bears tight end Colson Loveland was our number two player in the entire draft class, excluding all QBs after Hunter. So he was number two behind Travis Hunter.

Speaker 1 He's just a notch below Brock Bowers as a prospect, and he finishes the second highest graded tight end I've ever graded.

Speaker 9 I do think from the limited amount of fighters. I just found this guy on Twitter.

Speaker 9 I think that Brock Bowers obviously had a great season catching the football and doing everything for the Raiders' offense last year. Loveland, from what I've seen, is better when he's in line.
Yeah.

Speaker 9 And so Ben Johnson loves to use two tight ends.

Speaker 1 He said that he reminded him of Sam Laporta.

Speaker 1 Colson Loveland said that Sam Laporta is his favorite tight end to watch. Also, here's another one from Angelo Fantasy.
Uh,

Speaker 1 that's just like a guy in Philly dreaming of cheesesteaks.

Speaker 1 Angelo Fantasy said, Loveland was my TE1 this year, shows advanced manipulative qualities at the stem, specifically when tasked with timing-based patterns, reminiscent of Trey McBride as a prospect, as well as stylistically.

Speaker 9 Did you say manipulative patterns at the stem?

Speaker 1 The manipulative qualities at the stem.

Speaker 9 That's the one thing that I look for when I'm watching this. That's all I wanted.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Just find me a guy who's got manipulative qualities at at the STEM.

Speaker 9 Just manipulate by STEM daddy.

Speaker 1 Yeah. So, yeah,

Speaker 1 I don't know. I mean,

Speaker 1 I don't know. I think he's going to be good, but who the fuck knows?

Speaker 9 So

Speaker 1 I want him to be good. Are you happy with Cole Komet?

Speaker 1 So that's going to be the interesting thing. I am happy with Cole Komet, but I don't know what the plan's going to be.

Speaker 9 Because I feel like Cole Komet's a good player. Yeah, no.
When they remember that he's on the field.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I like Cole Komet. I don't know if the Bears...
I think they're going to go with these two tight ends, but they might. Cole Komet's got one year left on his deal.

Speaker 1 Either way, I like Colson Loveland

Speaker 1 just because I read a bunch of people saying he's incredible, and I was like, yeah. And also, did you see the big game hunting he had on his wall? No, what do you have? Oh, my God.

Speaker 1 He had like the biggest elk and deer heads that I've ever seen. He grew up on a farm.
Okay.

Speaker 1 It said that he would wake up, like on Saturdays, he'd wake up at 6 a.m. to,

Speaker 1 what is it called when you do the thing with the cow? No. Serum? No.
Brand. Brand them.
He'd brand cows, take a nap, go play football.

Speaker 9 You understand why when you're going like this and you're talking about a cow, I thought.

Speaker 9 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 Although that would be more like this.

Speaker 9 That's jacking off the bull.

Speaker 1 No, but

Speaker 1 this would be milking. This is kind of a reverse.

Speaker 1 This is more.

Speaker 4 OTPH.

Speaker 1 Yeah, this is more inseminating them. Oh, that's intimidating your own chest.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Well, no, I'm going this way.

Speaker 9 So you're staying behind the cow.

Speaker 1 Yeah. I'm branding.
Okay, so you're

Speaker 9 gotcha. So he used to wake up in the morning, brand cows, then play football? Yep.
Yeah, I love the guy. Yeah.
Great pick. Yeah.

Speaker 9 With Ted McMillan, the only thing I know for sure about this pick is we are going to get some

Speaker 9 fire side-by-side photos of Bryce Young and Ted McMillan. Oh, yeah.
Because what is he, 6'5 ⁇ , 6'6 ⁇ ?

Speaker 1 Little Aaron Judge Jose L2.

Speaker 9 Yeah, that's the new one. Just dropped.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 9 Kelvin Banks also,

Speaker 9 his baby threw up on itself. Yeah, I saw that.

Speaker 1 I think

Speaker 9 was that his baby?

Speaker 1 I don't know. It was a baby.

Speaker 9 There was a baby in the room next to him that got jostled a little bit in all the excitement.

Speaker 1 and then the baby just puked everywhere and that's all of our first experiences with new ones yeah uh tyler warren going to the colts i feel like everyone thought as soon as the bears took colson lovino was like he's gonna tyler warren's gonna be a colt uh any other

Speaker 1 i mean we we don't know we're gonna have bruden sit in with us in a second oh

Speaker 1 Bothered me a little that the Packers took Matthew Golden after McShea

Speaker 1 told us that he's his number one receiver.

Speaker 1 I also, the Giants getting Jackson Dart trading back up for Jackson Dart, so that's their QB of the future.

Speaker 1 Shout out Joe Shane's son, putting on Instagram Reels Jackson Dart hype tape like earlier this morning.

Speaker 1 Kind of telegraphed that one.

Speaker 9 The Falcons took a player from Georgia for the first time in like 50 years. Wow.
So I know Jalen Walker. The fan base was kind of fell.
They really wanted somebody from Georgia.

Speaker 9 Just anyone from Georgia will be happy with that. And then they trade back up and get the guy from Tennessee.
So

Speaker 1 That felt like a lot they gave up.

Speaker 1 I mean, it doesn't matter if James Pierce is really good, and I think there's a chance that he could be, you know, some people were saying that he has the highest ceiling, maybe some character issues, but that felt like a lot to trade.

Speaker 9 Yeah, and then

Speaker 9 unfortunately, we had Shadur falling and Deion in the green. I don't know if that's a green room, it was just kind of a warehouse that they were doing.
Yeah, it was just their party.

Speaker 9 It was like a rave.

Speaker 1 It was his house, I think.

Speaker 9 So they were not in Green Bay. No, they were not.
Okay, yeah. So they were just at a party and Shadur did not get picked.
I think that Dion's gonna be so mad. He's gonna start his own league.

Speaker 9 He's gonna go home tonight and be like, you know what? If they don't want you, fuck them. Yeah.
The DFL.

Speaker 1 I'll say this. Thanks for making the second round interesting.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Like that is an interesting thing. What's going to happen on Friday?

Speaker 9 It'll probably happen. My guess would be early on.

Speaker 1 Yeah. You'd hope.

Speaker 1 Also, the Ravens crushed their draft with Malkai Starks.

Speaker 9 Malachi Starks is a beast.

Speaker 1 He's going to be so good for the Ravens.

Speaker 9 I had him second on my big board.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Do you feel good about your, who'd you take? Connerly from Oregon.

Speaker 9 So here's why I feel good about Connerly. So he's an offensive tackle.
He's huge. He's got great feet.
He played running back and tight end, and then he just kept growing and eating.

Speaker 9 And now he's just this massive guy with big feet, super athletic. And we got Laramie Tonsil on one side.

Speaker 9 We drafted Brandon Coleman last year that played left tackle. So we thought maybe we'd move him over to right tackle.
But now we just drafted another tackle. And we also have Wiley.

Speaker 1 Not a bad problem to have, though.

Speaker 9 Now we've got a lot of tackles on our team, and Sam Cosme's out at right guard.

Speaker 9 So I would imagine that either Wiley or probably more likely Coleman is going to move over to guard for a little bit, and then we'll have Connerly on the right side.

Speaker 9 I have personal experience with Connerly. I met the guy.
Oh. So when I was flying to Arizona a couple years ago for the barstool bowl, you remember that? Yeah.

Speaker 9 I was on the same plane as the Oregon football team. That's right.
As they were getting ready to play against Liberty. And Connerly was on the plane.
And when he got on, he's the guy.

Speaker 9 I think I told you at the time. Yeah, yeah.
Oregon is so much, they're so big.

Speaker 1 Yeah, we bet Oregon. I was like,

Speaker 9 this dude was big. I saw a big man on the plane.
He plays for Oregon. I think they're going to beat the fuck out of Liberty.

Speaker 9 And sure enough, he was just so much bigger than Liberty that he pretty much swallowed them all whole. And they just dominated him in that game.

Speaker 1 I remember it because you told us that and we bet Oregon and they killed him.

Speaker 9 Our in-depth analysis.

Speaker 1 Serendipity.

Speaker 9 Yeah, our in-depth analysis was: I saw a big man on the plane. We're like, we give money.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Max, Jihad?

Speaker 2 Jihad. Jihad Campbell.

Speaker 1 Jihad Campbell?

Speaker 9 You're a big Jihad guy.

Speaker 2 Jihad Campbell seems like a beast. Can't say that I know too much of his tape, but

Speaker 2 he's Howie's guy. He traded up one spot to get him, which is a crazy thing to do, but he traded up one spot to get him.
Howie gets his guy. He was a top 15 guy on everyone's big boards.

Speaker 2 How he gets him at 31, how he does it again.

Speaker 9 I think the night was just dragging on and how he was like, I got to get a trade in. Yeah.
He was chosen for one. So he hit up Kansas City.
He was like, you mind, let's just do a trade.

Speaker 9 Get me in on some action right now.

Speaker 2 I just need to see the video of the drafts room when Howie realizes that he can get him and see how excited he is. And that's how excited I will be because I can already see it in my head right now.

Speaker 2 He's going to be on the phone. He's going to be like, I got the trade done.
We got it done. And then he's going to high-five everyone else there.
And then I'm going to be fired up.

Speaker 2 And he's a hometown kid. And he's coming to Philly.
And he said the rich is going to get richer. And we're bringing another Super Bowl back to Philly.

Speaker 1 Wow.

Speaker 1 Memes.

Speaker 9 Memes, just to refresh real quick, the offensive line grades, you gave yourself number one?

Speaker 1 Number one, yeah. And then what is his name again? Armand Memboo.
Okay.

Speaker 9 And then who got number two?

Speaker 1 You got number two.

Speaker 9 And then. Oh, wow.
But no, you said something else. You said, I got, what, the best.

Speaker 1 Best left tackle.

Speaker 9 I got the best left tackle. Yeah.
But you got the best tackle. Best right tackle.

Speaker 1 Okay, but then at best tackle.

Speaker 9 But then you put Hank third.

Speaker 2 Yeah, well, I like Will Campbell. It's unfortunate he went to the Patriots.

Speaker 1 Got it. But did you hear about Vrabel putting his hands on him?

Speaker 2 Yeah, it sounds like Vrabel got bitched.

Speaker 1 Oh,

Speaker 1 Hank, bad time to take off your kit.

Speaker 1 You heard it. What do you think?

Speaker 8 He's getting old. It's a crazy thing to say.

Speaker 1 I mean, it's a crazy thing to say.

Speaker 9 Memes, you know that we're going to have Vrabes back on the show.

Speaker 1 It's occurring again. And if Vrabel beats me up, gets arrested and can't coach the season, that's on him.
That's true. But we also wouldn't let you press charges.

Speaker 2 Memes will press charges.

Speaker 1 No, I would press charges.

Speaker 9 Oh, you would? No, you wouldn't need to.

Speaker 1 We would keep your mouth shut. But wouldn't that make you the biggest bitch? Because he got bitched by Will Campbell, then he bitched you? No, but I think I'd be a hero.

Speaker 10 Patriots coach goes to jail.

Speaker 1 Let's get Gruden in here. What do we think? Shefty's fit, what happened tonight?

Speaker 9 He thought, bro thinks he's Andrew Whitworth.

Speaker 1 I mean, that was... You can't do

Speaker 1 the

Speaker 1 tie

Speaker 1 and the sweatshirt. You know what I mean? You have to choose one or the other.

Speaker 9 I agree. I think you can go sweatshirt blazer.
Correct. If you're Andrew Whitworth.

Speaker 1 Correct.

Speaker 9 If you're not Andrew Whitworth in the Venn diagram, then you have to just wear normal clothes. Correct.

Speaker 9 And Chef, he's advanced so far in his career that it's like, you know, we know who you are, Chef. Right.

Speaker 9 You, at the most, if you're like joining the Manning cast, then you wear a collared shirt and a quarter zip. Right.

Speaker 1 Right.

Speaker 9 All other occasions when you're on television, you should be wearing a suit and tie.

Speaker 1 I think he just, yeah, he got

Speaker 1 lost in too much. Here he comes.

Speaker 1 Coach Gruden. Although you guys work this this hard.

Speaker 1 We're live right now. Or not live, but we're taping.
So sit right down.

Speaker 1 We're not going to keep you long. It's late.
He's drinking wine right now out of a stellar blue coffee cup. I love that.
All right, put the mic in front of you

Speaker 1 and let's talk a little ball. And then we'll get you.
First of all, let's ask you this. This is,

Speaker 1 it's 11 p.m. It's 11.15 right now.

Speaker 1 Is it too late? Is it too late for Coach Gruden? Because you get up at like 4 in the morning. Yeah, I do.
Go on, put the mic. Let's see if Max is getting it.
12.15 in Tampa. Yeah, it's 12.15 in Tampa.

Speaker 1 How are you feeling?

Speaker 12 I feel good, man.

Speaker 12 I love it, man. I love the vibe here.
Yeah. Barstool, there's a lot of young, talented guys that love sports and gals.

Speaker 1 And did Stephen Che only get six right tonight?

Speaker 12 If he's lucky, he got six.

Speaker 1 Yeah,

Speaker 12 it's a hard crap shoot to pick. You know that.

Speaker 9 How do you feel about draft grades?

Speaker 9 I personally love them because the guys that give out draft grades right after the fact, what they're really grading you on is how well did the teams do in living up to what I projected them to do?

Speaker 9 So they're really being like, I will give you an A if you think that I am correct.

Speaker 12 I'd like to take the draft grades and go back on them after a year or two. Yeah.
You know, I mean, you get the draft grade the day after the draft. Who gives a rat's ass? Yeah.

Speaker 12 But after two years, you know, you give the team a D or you give them an A. It's a more profitable evaluation, I think, because you actually got to evaluate your players.

Speaker 12 How the hell do you know if they're any good or not the next day?

Speaker 1 That's a fact. All right, so big picture.

Speaker 1 Did anything surprise you tonight? Did you think there was any, not grades, but like winners or losers, or you liked someone's moves more than others?

Speaker 12 I love what the Giants did.

Speaker 1 Oh, I love what they did.

Speaker 12 I thought, you know, they need a quarterback. The Browns need a quarterback.
The Steelers need a quarterback. They don't have a quarterback.

Speaker 12 But the Giants got Abdullah Carter, who I think's a really good player. Now you got Brian Burns, you got Thibaudeau, you got Dexter Lawrence.

Speaker 12 You got some guys that can at least get after guys like Jaden Daniels and Hurts, mobile quarterbacks in the NFC East. And then they have the guts.
You know, Dayball's been under fire, been on his ass.

Speaker 12 They move up and they take Jackson Dart.

Speaker 12 I think those are two really good picks for the Giants.

Speaker 12 And if they come through, that changes the dynamic of their team.

Speaker 1 What about what did you make of the Jaguars Browns trip?

Speaker 12 Yeah, I was shocked what Jacksonville did. I know Jacksonville, I felt they needed a star.
I live in Florida, and the Jaguars are kind of a faceless franchise.

Speaker 12 Trevor Lawrence just has not exerted himself. It's not like, hey, I got to get a Trevor Lawrence jersey.
He's been a disappointment, really. ETN,

Speaker 12 who are the Jacksonville Jaguars? Maybe Josh Allen, Trayvon Walker. I mean, they needed somebody that had star power, sell some tickets, get people excited.

Speaker 12 I just don't know what they're going to do with him.

Speaker 12 I really think he's a receiver. I think he can impact the game and help their quarterback at receiver.

Speaker 12 I think you're whistling Zippity Duda out your butt if you think he's going to play both ways in the NFL.

Speaker 9 So why?

Speaker 12 Well, I had Charles Woodson, probably one of the great football players to ever do it. He played both ways and won the Heisman just like this guy did.
And he was 20 pounds heavier. And

Speaker 12 Charles wanted to play offense also, but it's hard to play defense. You know, it's hard.
It's a hard deal, man.

Speaker 12 Every week's a different offense, different receivers, different quarterbacks, different game plan. You just can't go from that meeting to this meeting.
Not many people have done it.

Speaker 12 You guys have studied it your whole life. Name two or three guys in the modern era of football that have done it.

Speaker 1 Sammy Baugh.

Speaker 12 Yeah, I mean, I didn't see Sammy play, and I'm 61 years old. So we really have to be crazy to think a rookie is going to come in here and do that right away.

Speaker 9 On the other side of it, though, I liked what the Browns did.

Speaker 1 I did too.

Speaker 12 I liked the fact they got those picks.

Speaker 1 They got the picks. They got a great player in Mason Graham.
And I liked that the Browns basically,

Speaker 1 to me, it's like they were honest with themselves. We're not close.
So

Speaker 1 let's get more picks, draft capital, knowing that this is a full rebuild right now because we missed on Deshaun Watson. And so that gives them bullets for the next year or two.

Speaker 12 Well, Stefanski, he's been the two-time coach of the year. So I'm sure he's got a little contract.
You know, they got some confidence in him. And maybe they go get Shadur.

Speaker 1 Maybe they go get Will Howard.

Speaker 12 And maybe we overevaluated Shadur, too. I mean, I hate to say it, but I'm shocked that he didn't go after all the hoopla and all the hype that went in to the pre-draft ceremonies.
Yeah.

Speaker 9 When it comes to making these trades on draft night, if you're sitting in the war room, do some GMs just call you up and they offer insultingly low-value trades just to see if you're dumb enough to take it?

Speaker 12 It's not like fantasy football. Like I'm a fantasy football owner.
I would call Big Cat and say, hey, I'll give you a six-round pick for Pat Mahomes just to piss him off.

Speaker 12 Just see, you know, if he's that dumb, if he'd really do it. You know, that doesn't happen.

Speaker 12 Every once in a while, you might get a call where, are you serious? But these general managers, they know

Speaker 12 they're dealing with professional people that know the value of their players.

Speaker 1 And they're all going off a similar chart. Yeah, they have a chart.

Speaker 12 They know if you're talking about trading draft picks, that's one thing. I was surprised Kirk Cousins didn't get traded.
I thought perhaps he could get traded to the Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 12 And maybe that's in the cards. Now, Cleveland has some arsenal with this draft haul they got.
Maybe they go get Cousins for one year, see if he can rejuvenate his career in Cleveland. And

Speaker 12 it'll be interesting to see, but everybody's pretty solid when it comes to trade proposals.

Speaker 1 Yeah, all right. I know a guy you talked to at the Super Bowl,

Speaker 1 Ash and Genti, got picked six to the Raiders.

Speaker 1 What are your beliefs in drafting a running back that high? Do you think he is worth that type of pick? You know, it's obviously a new regime in Las Vegas.

Speaker 1 So like, do you think that it just doesn't happen very often?

Speaker 12 Yeah, I used to argue with Mel Kuyper when I was doing the ESPN draft. Kuyper said, you don't take running backs in the first round.
I said, well, Earl Campbell was the first pick.

Speaker 12 Tony Dorcet wasn't bad. Emmett Smith turned out okay.
Yeah. You know, it all depends on a year-by-year basis.
You know, who are the top 10 players in the draft?

Speaker 12 I don't think this year's draft was as strong as people want it to be for TV purposes. I mean, COVID impacted this class.
So did the NIL and the transfer portal.

Speaker 12 I mean, a number one pick in a draft played on three different teams. Yeah.
And I don't know if that's beneficial for for his career. I don't believe it is.

Speaker 12 But a lot of these guys don't go to spring practice. They're coming out as juniors.
They don't play in the same system for multiple years. It's a different process now.

Speaker 12 So it's a crap shoot.

Speaker 12 To answer your question, I don't even know.

Speaker 9 Yeah. What about Ibuka to

Speaker 9 Tampa Bay?

Speaker 12 Yeah, I love Igbuka. You know, Will Howard was in our office, and he echoed our feelings, what we saw on tape.
Igbuka is a great receiver now.

Speaker 12 Back-to-back, 1,000-yard seasons tough as hell he can line up in the slot he can mismatch you as a receiver on the perimeter and he can be a punt returner and howard loved him he's an unselfish guy understands the game knows who to block can't wait to block he's an unselfish badass that's a good pick and it tells me perhaps you know chris godwins rehab is not gone on schedule maybe he won't be ready to start the season Mike is a great receiver but he's got to be going into his 14th 13th season and you got to have firepower at that position to be great.

Speaker 9 I kind of like what they're doing. They're kind of showing Baker, we're going to continue to commit to giving you the best possible targets.

Speaker 9 Because when their offense, when they were passing the ball well, they looked like a great team out of the NFC.

Speaker 12 You know, I saw them play live. I told you guys the last time when they played the 49ers, I was at the game.
I did not know Bucky Irving was that good.

Speaker 12 And Rashad White is another good back. And their offensive line, their center, the rookie they took, the first rounder, he's a hell of a player.

Speaker 12 And Gedeke and Wurfs are as two good of tackles as there are. This is a hell of a football team on offense.
And now you got Evans, and you got

Speaker 12 Igbuke. I don't know how to say his name yet, but I'll learn.
And now you got the potential of Chris Godwin coming back, and McMillan was a good pick from Washington.

Speaker 12 So they're a good team that could be great, and they got to solve their problems on defense.

Speaker 9 Yeah, by the way, I've loved watching the Gruden quarterback camp.

Speaker 12 Yeah.

Speaker 12 We had a lot of fun with those guys.

Speaker 9 It's very good. So who was the most impressive person that you talked to?

Speaker 12 Well, the guy that got picked tonight was really impressive. You know, Jackson was, he was great.
Will Howard was phenomenal. They were all very, very good.
I think this Kyle McCord,

Speaker 12 this Andegan guy, he might not get drafted until the third, fourth, fifth round. But all of these guys are good players.
You know, all it takes is somebody to believe in you. You got your job.

Speaker 12 He got his. I got my job because somebody believed in me.
And I remember coaching Ty Bettmer in Philadelphia. I believed in him.
I believed in Rich Gannon in Oakland.

Speaker 12 And sometimes that's all these guys need is somebody that believes in them.

Speaker 12 And I hope Will Howard gets his shot because he's a winner, man. And he's a big, strong, tough son of a bitch, man, and a great competitor.

Speaker 1 How sick did it make you when Jackson Dart said that he doesn't have a snap count? He just

Speaker 1 killed him.

Speaker 1 That clip was incredible.

Speaker 12 Pretty much all of them did the same thing. Really?

Speaker 1 None of them have learned.

Speaker 12 Well, that's the thing. We'll talk about this, I'm sure, hopefully in the future.
But a lot of people say the game is evolving. The game is evolving.
Parts of the game are dissolving.

Speaker 12 We just had Steve DeBerg in my office. He's 71 years old.
He threw for 34,000 yards. He played for the Chiefs.
He played for the Bucs, the Dolphins. He played for all kinds of different teams.

Speaker 12 One of the great ball-handling, play-faking quarterbacks ever. And he helped Peyton Manning learn how to play fake.
You don't even see a play-action pass anymore.

Speaker 12 You see the RPO where he pulls it out of the running back's chest, but parts of this game are dissolving and the snap count has almost totally dissolved.

Speaker 1 All right.

Speaker 1 Any other teams that you're like, I think they did a great job. And I mean, I always just say, whoever the Ravens pick, it's going to be a good pick.

Speaker 12 Selfishly. I love what the Ravens did.
Yeah, man. I love Malachi Starks.
Now,

Speaker 12 I get personally attached to players. That's the biggest fault I have.
A lot of the players that be, ah, Gruden, you drafted so-and-so. He's not any good.
Well, in fact, I love that guy.

Speaker 12 You know, I get attached to these guys. When I meet him and I spend time with them, there are certain guys you cherish.
You want to be around. You want to help, you want to see succeed.

Speaker 12 And Malachi Starks, he comes in my office. You know, he's a badass.

Speaker 12 He has this presence about him. He's a great communicator.
He's big, strong, experienced. He's just a clutch game-changing player.

Speaker 12 And for the Ravens to get him and pair him with Kyle Hamilton and Bobby Humphrey,

Speaker 12 I'm telling you, that was a big pickup for Baltimore tonight.

Speaker 9 Yeah, he's an awesome player. I wanted him.

Speaker 9 That was my guy.

Speaker 9 So, Mike Frable, apparently, he worked out all the guys, all the big guys that he was thinking about drafting, put his hands on him.

Speaker 9 And he said that Will Campbell felt the best to him, felt the strongest.

Speaker 9 Do you get physical with draft picks if you're interviewing them?

Speaker 12 No, that must be a Patriot thing.

Speaker 1 Must be the tuck rule of bullshit.

Speaker 12 I don't a guy's

Speaker 1 butt cheeks to see if he's for me.

Speaker 12 What better evaluation to him?

Speaker 1 I got a question about the Falcons. So they take Jalen Walker at 15 and they come back into the first round and take James Pierce at 26.
Two guys, they don't play exactly the same way, but

Speaker 1 you're hoping they're going to be edge rushers. Jalen Walker can maybe move around a little bit more.

Speaker 12 Is that weird to take two guys and also come back into the round to not like, you see it with quarterbacks, but they did trade a decent haul to come back into the first round i was surprised by that yeah you gave up a lot to get for the 26th pick you would think it would be a quarterback right because a lot of teams will do it to get the control i love tennessee my wife cheered at tennessee i go back to tennessee i got a place in tennessee i want to love pierce i don't see pierce as a run defender yet i don't see him wearing the big boy pants and doing what you need to do to be that kind of a player where you give up a first-round pick and other picks to get them.

Speaker 12 Right. But I know the Falcons need a passer us.
Judon was a disappointment, no matter how we slice it. They had no pressure on the passer.
They got rid of Grady Jarrett.

Speaker 12 They do go and get a good player from Georgia in round one. And I'm hoping Pierce starts to realize his potential.
But I thought he was a major disappointment this year for Tennessee, personally.

Speaker 9 What about what the Eagles did? So the Eagles moved up one side.

Speaker 12 That was a shocking trade. I mean, I don't know how that works.

Speaker 12 I know Andy Reid and Howie are good friends, so maybe there was some personal information exchanged there, but I've never seen you go up one spot and give up a fifth-round pick from 32 to 31.

Speaker 12 And then they take a linebacker. You know, Philadelphia, you got to give Howie Roseman credit.
If one guy knows how to pick players, it's him.

Speaker 12 And Nicobi Dean had an injury late in the year against the Packers in the playoffs. To get a guy like Campbell, 6'3, 240, that can run and athletically do the things he does.
That's a solid pick.

Speaker 12 I'm sure Vic Fanji will know what to do with them. But that was a weird, that was a weird transaction.

Speaker 12 And then Andy Reid gets Josh Simmons, I think, the best tackle in the draft, provided he's healthy.

Speaker 9 Yeah, I felt like Howie just addicted to making trades. He needs some action going.
And so the night was almost over, and he's like, I got to squeeze one in.

Speaker 12 Just have to get a night. Well, they lost some players, too, you know, PFT.
They lost Milton Williams. They lost Josh Sweat.
They lost Darius Slay.

Speaker 12 I remember when we won our Super Bowl, we lost some players.

Speaker 12 People take them away from you, and you have a hard time replacing them when you don't have salary cap space and you don't have a high draft pick.

Speaker 12 But this guy, Howie Roseman, has found a way to do it.

Speaker 9 Yeah, I'm scared about Campbell. I feel like he's the guy that everybody was looking at and be like, how is he still on the board?

Speaker 1 Yeah, I like, you're right. Josh Simmons to the Chiefs made a lot of sense, and I feel like that's going to be a good pick for them.

Speaker 1 The other one that I liked, and this is just my dumb brain, football brain, but the Steelers taking a defensive tackle, being like, hey, look, Cam Hayward is at the end here.

Speaker 1 He hasn't retired, right? He's still playing?

Speaker 1 I don't know. Oh, he's still there.
I think he retired.

Speaker 12 I think his pitch count is going to be not what it used to be.

Speaker 1 Yeah, but it's like, hey, we had this guy who was the anchor of our defense. We need another guy who's going to be a younger guy.

Speaker 12 Or they had this Larry Ogan Joby who played pretty good for him. He's gone.
So they need a defensive tackle. Now, they got one quarterback on their roster.

Speaker 1 I know. I don't know.
I don't know.

Speaker 12 Rodgers are doing it. Maybe Aaron Rodgers, like he's going to solve all your problems.
It sounds great.

Speaker 12 But two years ago, he was out for the year. And last year, I think he had his hands on the ball inside the two-minute drill five times with a chance to win and didn't get it done.
Right.

Speaker 12 And he's not in camp right now. So you got to learn the offense.
You got to build some camaraderie with your team. I don't know what Pittsburgh's doing at quarterback.

Speaker 12 I was kind of shocked they didn't take a quarterback at number 21,

Speaker 9 but they got a defensive tackle and good for them yeah what do you think about some players that are coming out that might be a little bit undersized you see reports like they need to get a little bit stronger once they get to the nfl how do you evaluate a guy like that where you're like he just needs to get stronger and then he'll be great as opposed to a guy that you look at and you're like i think he's about as strong as he can possibly be Yeah, that's where you bring your strength coach in.

Speaker 12 He's got all the measurables. You know, they measure your bone sizes, your growth capacity.
They take a look at your strength numbers. That's why they test at the combine.

Speaker 12 The problem is a lot of these guys don't even go to the combine and work out anymore. I mean, Will Johnson, the corner from Michigan, I guess did not run a 40 from what I'm told.

Speaker 12 A lot of the quarterbacks won't run. So

Speaker 12 it's not as conclusive as it used to be.

Speaker 12 It's not as well known what people actually run, what their true strength is, but you can measure their body fat and you get a sense of their work ethic and you got to interview the people in the training staff.

Speaker 12 You got to interview the people that this guy's been associated with to try to imagine where he's headed with his strength and his true capacity.

Speaker 9 Do you have a favorite draft pick?

Speaker 12 I loved all my draft picks. I was asked me, and I've had some players that didn't perform that they say are busts.
Well, I'm convinced if I was still coaching, they wouldn't be busts.

Speaker 12 You know what I mean? Selfishly, that's the mindset that I have. I mean, I love Max Crosby.
That's easy to say. Hunter Renfro was a favorite draft pick of mine.

Speaker 9 Can we get him back in the league?

Speaker 12 He's going to be back. You watch this week.
You're going to see a transaction. I love it.
Yeah, he'll be back in football. He belongs in the league.
He's physically ready to go.

Speaker 12 He'll be an exciting addition. Yeah.

Speaker 1 I also think I'm just ripping off a couple. I think the Cowboys did the anti-Cowboys thing where people thought maybe they're going to take a wide receiver and they were like, hey, we need someone to.

Speaker 1 That's what they did.

Speaker 1 Yeah, but Zach Martin just retired.

Speaker 12 That's what they did 20 years ago with Tyron Smith and Zach Frederick. Right.

Speaker 1 Zach Martin. Start building in the trenches.

Speaker 12 They started building those guys. The left tackle in Dallas is a first-round pick.
Didn't play very good last year. The kid they took from Tulsa is a first-round pick three years ago.

Speaker 12 BB is a second-round pick, and now they took another first-rounder. But I think this Booker guy, did you see him running around the facility?

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 12 I mean, I just think this Booker, he's the straw that's going to stir the drink in Dallas. He's going to get that group to come together, and he might kick the shit out of all of them if they don't.

Speaker 12 He's that kind of personality, that kind of presence.

Speaker 12 I think he's just what the Cowboys need. I love that pick.

Speaker 1 And the other two that I liked, I thought the Seahawks doing the same thing where they're going to get an offensive lineman because you've got to protect Sam Darnold.

Speaker 1 And then I kind of liked what the Chargers did just because you need weapons on that offense. It didn't have the pop.
And you need, you know, they took Amarion Hampton from U.S.

Speaker 12 Yeah, I was surprised by that. I mean, they just signed Najee Harris.
Yeah. And I like Najee.
Najee has four straight 1,000-yard seasons. He's almost the same same size as Hampton.

Speaker 12 So now you've got two halfbacks. Don't get me wrong.
They're good to have.

Speaker 1 They want to run the ball, though. They're going to want to run.

Speaker 12 I watch the playoffs. They got a bunch of Neanderthals.
They look like a Suma wrestling team. They got Justin Herbert at quarterback.

Speaker 12 You know, they got to throw the ball in an indoor facility like they play in. Perfect conditions.

Speaker 12 I just thought they would take two or three receivers and help this guy throw the rock because he's really good at it.

Speaker 1 I think they'll end up taking one later in the draft. I just think that Harbaugh wants to run the ball.
And I mean, they're just going to be set up to run the Smash Mouse football again.

Speaker 12 Well, they didn't run the ball against Houston. They couldn't.
You know, they didn't run the ball. I think you got to throw the ball a little bit to run the ball.

Speaker 1 That's true. Good point.

Speaker 12 I know all you guys are big Harbaugh fans. I am too.
Yeah. But they have three tight ends.
They got a defensive lineman playing fullback.

Speaker 1 I know you want to run the ball, but

Speaker 12 you got Justin Herbert's all I'm saying.

Speaker 9 You're going to be a wide receiver. Sprinkling a wide receiver.

Speaker 12 Just a little bit.

Speaker 9 Yeah. What about the Broncos?

Speaker 1 They got Baron at cornerback. Yeah.

Speaker 9 They're They're like taking their strength and making it a mega strength.

Speaker 12 They had 65 sacks last year. We all know about Sertan.
He's a hell of a player. They get a guy like Hofanga.
I think I'm saying it right from the 49ers. Yeah.
He's a badass man.

Speaker 12 If he's healthy, and now you get Baron,

Speaker 12 who can play the nickel, he can play in the slot. He can play in the safety position.
He can play corner. He's a strategic weapon.
And Vance Joseph's a good defensive coordinator, but they got better.

Speaker 12 I was hoping they took Trayon Henderson. I wanted to get a speedy running back

Speaker 12 because I love Sean Payton. We go way back, but I can't deny they got a good player tonight.

Speaker 9 One last thing for you. I saw that you were talking about hanging out with Genti, and did he introduce you to Migos? Migos, is that how it went?

Speaker 12 Yeah, I've been learning about music.

Speaker 12 You know, I got Genti got me onto Migos, and I'm not just a fan. I mean,

Speaker 12 I'm a true-blooded listener. Yeah.

Speaker 12 And,

Speaker 12 you know,

Speaker 12 young boy.

Speaker 1 Yeah. I got into that.

Speaker 12 I even got into Chris Brown after talking with your guy, Jaden Daniels. Okay.
He turned me on to Chris Brown. Jackson Dart has helped me out a little bit.

Speaker 1 I'm evolving in the music world. Yeah, I like that.

Speaker 12 I'm going to straighten you guys out when I see you next time I come through Chicago. But I miss you guys.
It's great to see you.

Speaker 1 Yes. It's great to see you, too.
And thank you for coming.

Speaker 12 What'd you think of the Bears pick?

Speaker 1 Listen, I'm just going to trust whatever Ben Johnson is. Oh, shit.

Speaker 12 No.

Speaker 1 He's a cop out. Here's the thing.

Speaker 1 I'll tell you this.

Speaker 1 The first nine picks broke poorly for the Bears in terms of what you were hoping, where it's like, hey, maybe Ash and Genty falls, maybe Mason Graham falls.

Speaker 1 It basically went in order of like, you know, you had, what, two or two offensive linemen.

Speaker 1 All these guys get picked. I think Ben Johnson,

Speaker 1 he sees a little Sam Laporta in Colson Loveland. It's going to be a big part of the offense.
Two tight end sets. And Bluntman, our guy Bluntman, said he was his number one ranked tight end.

Speaker 12 I love Loveland too. He's a mismatch guy.
You got to watch him a couple years ago because this year.

Speaker 1 Yeah, he didn't have a quarterback.

Speaker 12 They didn't have a passing game.

Speaker 1 And he was also hurt. He just had surgery in January.

Speaker 12 I went to the Outback Bowl in Tampa, whatever they call it. They played Alabama.
So I got to go to Michigan and meet Coach Moore and watch the Wolverines practice. And he wasn't practicing.
Yeah.

Speaker 12 Did not play in the bowl game, but they love him at Michigan. Yeah.
I was just kind of curious what they're going to do with Cole Comet.

Speaker 12 I thought he would be a good pass receiver in Ben Johnson's offense.

Speaker 1 Yeah. I don't know if it's going to be.

Speaker 12 But if you're going to play two tight ends,

Speaker 12 here's the problem.

Speaker 12 Which receiver do you take off the field? DJ Moore, the kid from Washington, or Keenan Allen?

Speaker 1 Well, I don't think Keenan Allen's going to be on the Bears, so we'll get him off the field.

Speaker 12 Okay, well, if Keenan Allen's on the Bears, there's zero.

Speaker 1 There you go. There's the problem.
Solve the problem. Solve the problem solved tonight.
Look how easy that is.

Speaker 12 Because when I watch the Lions play, they play what I call 11 personnel. You got one back, one tight end, three receivers.

Speaker 1 They did actually, I saw the stat because I basically, the minute a pick gets made, you just go and look for all the positive affirmation.

Speaker 1 And it was Ben Johnson, I think, was like second or third in the league in two tight end sets 33% of the time. So he's going to do it.

Speaker 1 We're going to fucking listen, Colson Loveland. That was my number one.
I told you it was my number one. I know.
You called it. You walked in.
I give you credit, man.

Speaker 12 He walked in. He fumbled.
He threw a pick six when he walked in.

Speaker 1 That's not true at all.

Speaker 12 He was asking for Malachi Starks.

Speaker 9 I did. I said Malachi Starks, but that was after the Ravens had already taken him.
I was just bummed out. I said I had Malachi Starks too.

Speaker 9 And you remember last year who I had number one on my big board, right?

Speaker 12 Yes.

Speaker 9 Who's that?

Speaker 9 Jaden Daniels, number one on the big board.

Speaker 12 No, I can vividly remember getting that shoved down my throat. And boy, did you hit that right on the freaking lottery, man?

Speaker 9 Yeah, so I did screw it up because Nate screwed it up for me because he told me that Mike Green got picked. Remember that? Yeah.
So Mike Green,

Speaker 9 I kind of like Mike Green. I watched a bunch of his highlights last week, and that dude seems like he should have been picked in the first round.

Speaker 12 Mike Green, the kid from Boston College, the safety from South Carolina, those are the top three, I think, defensive players that are coming right off the board.

Speaker 12 But I never did get my San Ristill jersey.

Speaker 1 You want this one?

Speaker 12 Well, no, I mean.

Speaker 9 No, take this one.

Speaker 12 No, I'm not taking it off your back.

Speaker 1 Well, you mentioned it because.

Speaker 12 you know I you'd like it no I'm not taking that take it no I don't want that no he's giving it to you take it you got to take it now I don't want it anymore you got to take it okay I'm gonna get a commercial jersey here we go I'm gonna give you my Monday night football tie oh wow

Speaker 12 I wore this tie on Monday night football it's the first time I've worn it I think this was the Vikings Packers tie wow I'm gonna give history and it's my first bar stool draft analyst tie yeah that's a Brooks Brothers tie.

Speaker 1 We got to frame it. Put it up.

Speaker 1 Anyway,

Speaker 12 I got to go now.

Speaker 1 It's late. It's late.

Speaker 12 I really do admire you guys, man. The work you guys do.
I appreciate it. We appreciate

Speaker 12 the tone around here.

Speaker 1 Yeah, got to set a tone. You know what?

Speaker 12 You need to set a freaking tone.

Speaker 1 Yeah. I love it.

Speaker 12 And standard is to standard, they always say. Standard is right.

Speaker 12 It was great, though, tonight is seeing Jersey Jerry swallow a grape.

Speaker 1 And he took the defense and tackled, he didn't know.

Speaker 1 Oh, thank you, Coach. He was so excited.

Speaker 12 He's going to get Shadura.

Speaker 1 Yeah, he did. He was going Shadussi.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 Thanks, Coach Gruden, real quick. We're about to get to our NBA and NHL playoff recap,

Speaker 1 which we were taping while some of the games were going on. We should probably update.
The Grizzlies lost, but they did cover. And also, John Morant is very injured.

Speaker 1 And Lou Dort, as a Lou Dort guy, I disavow that was not a good play.

Speaker 9 Yeah, that was bad.

Speaker 1 That was really bad.

Speaker 9 It was bad.

Speaker 9 Ja landed, looked like, where'd he land? It looked like just on his face.

Speaker 9 His body hit flatly.

Speaker 1 So his hip, not good. That was all Thunder.
I mean, Ja not being in, the Grizzlies are very limited offensively, but they did hold the Grizzlies to 31 second half points. That was bad.

Speaker 1 That was really bad. Lou Dort, we got to be better.
I'm a Dortscher Chamber guy. But yeah, you're going to hear us recapping live.
And I think we said that the Grizzlies were going to win.

Speaker 1 But then John Morant got hurt.

Speaker 1 Yeah, what I said.

Speaker 9 I said, just wait.

Speaker 1 Yeah, but the Grizzlies did cover.

Speaker 9 That's true. Yeah.

Speaker 1 So, and I took them plus eight and a half, so they did cover. But that was

Speaker 1 Thunder are going to sweep, just like we thought from the beginning.

Speaker 1 All right, we got to do real quick before we get to our playoff recaps.

Speaker 1 We're going to do our first baskets, which we all got wrong. So this is for Friday night.

Speaker 9 Hey, it's PFT here, reminding you that Boarshead makes game day entertaining elevated and effortless.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 What do we got for first basket?

Speaker 4 Also, Chris Stoppsingas.

Speaker 1 We did call correctly the Clippers. That one we called early.
And they fucking killed the Nuggets.

Speaker 9 I'm going to go Derek White.

Speaker 2 Chris Dopps is plus 425.

Speaker 4 Oh, because it doesn't matter, right?

Speaker 1 Yeah, it's not a problem.

Speaker 2 Eric White is plus 850.

Speaker 1 Mm-hmm.

Speaker 9 All right.

Speaker 1 Give me... What's Giannis?

Speaker 1 It's probably low. I'm just trying to see one go through.

Speaker 2 Giannis is

Speaker 1 plus 350.

Speaker 12 All right, love it.

Speaker 9 Did Memes just make the nerd nugget?

Speaker 1 Yeah, he did.

Speaker 9 Was that the, that was the sound memes?

Speaker 2 I'm going to go with Luca plus 550.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 All right. Let's kick it to ourselves.
We've got NBA and NHL playoffs, and then we have Justin Thomas and and Firefest.

Speaker 1 Okay, let's talk some playoffs.

Speaker 1 We can go chronological order. Hank, yeah, up 2-0.

Speaker 1 Easy on the magic.

Speaker 1 Tatum was invisible.

Speaker 4 Didn't play.

Speaker 1 That was a joke. I know.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 But I think that, I mean, this is all, this series doesn't.

Speaker 4 It's just. The Mavics are just playing, Magic are just playing like scum.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Well, that's the thing.

Speaker 9 It's like,

Speaker 9 if you're a really good team and you play borderline dirty, then you're just a really gritty team. If you're not quite that next-level team and you play really dirty, then you're just dirty.

Speaker 9 And that's kind of what the magic are falling into right now.

Speaker 1 I don't know if they're playing dirty as much as they're just not like coordinated and good.

Speaker 4 They're just getting beat and getting mad. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 9 You're talking about that one play specifically where Christophe Scott Elvis.

Speaker 1 Yeah, no more.

Speaker 1 I think he just doesn't understand how to control his box.

Speaker 9 I saw that guy fall down and I was like, is that guy okay? Yeah, right. I was like, you're you're just kind of a spaz.
Yeah, that wasn't dirty.

Speaker 1 That was like

Speaker 1 a 12-year-old that, like an overgrown 12-year-old. Yeah.
Trying to figure out their limbs.

Speaker 9 That guy was all elbows and knees. Yeah.

Speaker 4 Fantastic for the DVD, though. Those are the moments you need.

Speaker 1 Yeah, and you had the Joe Missoula quote afterwards saying, I like watching him bleed on the court. I think that's important.
Talking about Chris Stopps, Porzingis. Awesome pictures for Porzingis.

Speaker 1 Like those.

Speaker 1 If I were Porzingis, I'd have those framed in my house.

Speaker 4 Well, and it happened on the podcast the other night when LeBron went down, and I was like joking. So I got LeBron just died, and the video came out where

Speaker 4 he was on the ground, and then you could, there's a zoom-in angle of him, like opening his eyes to see if anyone was worried about him, and then just got right out.

Speaker 9 Yeah, and then you got the side-by-side with him and Porzingis with a band-aid. They brought him back on the court.

Speaker 1 They didn't wipe him down at all. No.

Speaker 9 It looked like he had just a mohawk died into his head of blood.

Speaker 1 Yeah. I would say, though, for the Celtics, like, obviously,

Speaker 1 I would assume Tatum's fine. They're just sitting out because they don't take the magic seriously.
The big story was that Jalen Bruce.

Speaker 4 He was holding two bags on his way up the plane today.

Speaker 1 Oh, okay.

Speaker 1 Oh, how heavy, though.

Speaker 4 No bandage. Double bags.

Speaker 1 But how heavy?

Speaker 4 Like a big, like, you know, nice Louisiana bag.

Speaker 1 Oh, wouldn't that be interesting if one of them was empty?

Speaker 9 Yeah, what was in the bags?

Speaker 4 Clothes, probably.

Speaker 1 But it could be an empty bag. Okay, we're talking about like this.

Speaker 4 To your point, I don't think they need to play those type of mind games.

Speaker 9 Are we talking about like a thick double-knit sweater? Are we talking about a silk shirt?

Speaker 1 Wait,

Speaker 1 clothes can be heavy.

Speaker 4 Hold on.

Speaker 1 Tell me about it. You don't think Joe Missoula would be like, hey, Jason, hold this empty bag on the way up the steps?

Speaker 4 That's true. But that's also something maybe you save.

Speaker 1 The empty bag trick? Yeah. Okay.

Speaker 9 I think Joe Missoula actually might give him a heavy bag to carry up.

Speaker 1 So the story from this game is, did the Celtics use their empty bag trick too early?

Speaker 9 Did the Celtics empty the bag?

Speaker 1 Some high-level analysis right here.

Speaker 1 Yeah, Jalen Brown looks completely healthy. 36 points.

Speaker 1 He was awesome. That would be your big takeaway, i would think yeah is like because i mean obviously his knee going into the playoffs is like i hope he's okay uh

Speaker 1 also this was a weird game because it was one of those it was it was like a torture game because

Speaker 1 the celtics never they were always up about 10

Speaker 1 never

Speaker 1 could like do the kill shot but it was never the magic could win the game right so you like you like kind of were watching and being like oh you never know oh it's eight and then you're like no but it's never going to happen.

Speaker 9 Yeah. So with Tatum, how far can you go without Tatum? How long could you conceivably keep him on the bench?

Speaker 1 Well, I mean, to the top of the plane with the

Speaker 9 stairs. Yeah.

Speaker 9 33,000 feet is what you're saying. Easily.
Yeah. But no,

Speaker 9 how far do you think you could make it just by sitting him?

Speaker 4 I don't know. And luckily, we're not going to have to find out.
I hope.

Speaker 9 Luckily, we're not going to have to find out.

Speaker 4 But this is a great team. It's a complete, you know, it's a team effort.
Jalen Brown in his comments today said the offense runs through Jason. Like, he's our playmaker.

Speaker 4 But when I need to step up, I have the ability to do that. So I think they, you know, if Jalen Brown went out, it'd be the same thing.
But you want them both together. Like, it

Speaker 4 you need everyone healthy.

Speaker 9 I just loved how much Porzingis loved his own blood. Yeah.
He like came jogging back on the court. He was like, this is kind of fun.

Speaker 1 It was a five stitches.

Speaker 4 WWE or AEW was in Boston recently. He was like in the front round.

Speaker 1 I mean, it looked like he cut himself with a razor blade.

Speaker 9 It was such a perfect forehead cut.

Speaker 4 He liked the wrestling, like the wrestling moment.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 And Franz and Paolo are still good. It's just the rest of the magic are not.
Yeah. Yeah.
This is just, you're just waiting out the time.

Speaker 1 Who you got next, Knicks? Dingbong. Nicks or Pistons?

Speaker 9 Dingbong. Celtics Tatum doubtful for game three with, quote, severe wrist bruise.

Speaker 1 Okay. So that bag was empty.

Speaker 9 Severe wrist bruise.

Speaker 1 That bag was empty.

Speaker 9 I could see Joe Mazzilla putting extra weight in it and just having him carry up the steps and be like, I want the least painful part of your week to be when you're playing basketball. Yeah.

Speaker 4 Or like I'm getting re-injured. Mighty Duck situation.
He put it in the bag to see how Adam Banks.

Speaker 1 Can you hold the stick?

Speaker 1 Cavs Heat. Cavs are up 2-0.
This was

Speaker 1 the Cavs' second quarter was one of the best shooting quarters I've ever seen. They went 11 for 14 from three.

Speaker 1 Absolutely crushed him. And then the Heat actually fought back and got a call.
I think they got it to a two-point game, and then Donovan Mitchell just went nuts.

Speaker 9 Yeah, so Mobley got, what, defensive player of the year? He did. That's pretty cool for him.
Yeah. So he's always been a great defender, but it's good to see him recognized.

Speaker 9 In this game, I was playing softball during it.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 9 So we'll get to that a little bit later. But again, this goes along my policy of not really paying attention to anybody in the East besides the Celtics.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 I mean, it was like the Cavs. The Cavs were up by a lot, and I give credit to the moral victory for the Heat is what I'd call it.
I mean, moral victory for the Heat. They fought back.

Speaker 9 That they are in the playoffs.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Well, and also fighting back in this game, because, like I said, 11-14 from three in the second quarter.

Speaker 4 Also, Tyler Hero will probably be

Speaker 4 taking some of his props on DraftKings. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah,

Speaker 1 Darren McCarlin after.

Speaker 4 They said what the Cavs need to do to continue to when he said pick on Tyler Hero. Yeah.

Speaker 9 Why do you say that?

Speaker 1 Well, because

Speaker 1 yeah.

Speaker 9 I know. Don't get me wrong, Big Kat.
I know why you would think that, but why do you say it?

Speaker 1 I think that's a wild one.

Speaker 9 It is wild.

Speaker 4 There's no reason to say something.

Speaker 1 Well, I think there's nothing Tyler Hero can do so they don't. poke the bear, don't they? Why the bear, yeah.
Well, I mean, they're talking about defense. Still, he was good offensively.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I don't know if Tyler Herrow has it in his bag.

Speaker 4 But I guess it's like you're, you know, if you're pushing your opponent to try, I guess, you know.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I think they're saying, like, he's not going to be able to guard us. Yes.
And we're just going to keep getting switches till we find him.

Speaker 9 It's like when Bain is like, where's your precious Batman now?

Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean, it's happened. I mean, last year in the NBA Finals, they were just like, let's just keep switching till we find Luca.

Speaker 1 It happens here.

Speaker 1 This is what they do in the playoffs these days. They hunt.

Speaker 4 They hunt.

Speaker 1 They hunt for someone.

Speaker 9 But it's rare that you would publicly say, hey, that guy.

Speaker 9 Hey, excuse me, Mr. Journalist.
I just want to say that that guy sucks.

Speaker 1 I think the Cavs probably are not scared of the heat.

Speaker 9 Appears that way.

Speaker 1 Appears that way.

Speaker 1 Blew that game. They almost blew that game.

Speaker 1 Warriors Rockets is...

Speaker 1 It's just a fist fight. And Jimmy Butler might be out for a while.
I don't know how. Do we have any update on his injury?

Speaker 9 But there is, but it was a

Speaker 9 contusion, a contused pelvis.

Speaker 1 Oh, memes just had to tell Max, hey, they're talking about update on Jimmy Butler. Go look it up.
Memes, do you think you should be running the computer?

Speaker 2 I need a third computer.

Speaker 2 I'm doing audio and video. I just need a third one.

Speaker 1 So that Max can just sit back. The Eagles are coming up on the clock.

Speaker 1 I'm trying to figure out what's going on. You said, quote, I can't wait to not care about who we pick.

Speaker 2 I know, but then when it comes comes down to it,

Speaker 2 I'm curious.

Speaker 1 I mean, just find who Howie Roseman,

Speaker 1 find who is mocked. Wait,

Speaker 1 you are not coming up. You're not even close to the five.
There's eight more picks.

Speaker 9 That's coming up.

Speaker 1 No, it's

Speaker 1 eight. It's coming up.
No, it's coming up. You got to be like three or four away.

Speaker 9 That's coming up, but it's not. I'm going to stop doing my job because the pick is coming up, coming up.

Speaker 2 That's no.

Speaker 1 Dude, eight picks is like an hour away.

Speaker 2 This is crazy.

Speaker 1 No, you're crazy.

Speaker 2 It's draft time.

Speaker 1 I'm worried about the work.

Speaker 1 He was worried about the Eagles coming up. But worried and how, in what way?

Speaker 9 The Commanders are coming up, what, four picks before the Eagles?

Speaker 1 I'm not worried about them.

Speaker 2 I'm not worried. I was just curious.
I was looking.

Speaker 2 I was looking.

Speaker 1 Do you even know what you're looking up right now?

Speaker 2 Yeah, Jimmy Butler diagnosed with deep glute muscle contusion.

Speaker 1 Oh.

Speaker 9 That's on his pelvis, right?

Speaker 1 I don't even think I have that muscle.

Speaker 1 Your ass? No, I mean, but the deep glute muscle. You have muscle?

Speaker 9 You have an ass. But deep glute muscle?

Speaker 1 I don't think you can even get to that.

Speaker 9 This is why Hank will never miss a playoff game in the NBA. Yeah.

Speaker 4 I don't even have a glute muscle.

Speaker 1 I don't know how I would injure my deep glute muscle.

Speaker 9 Well, it might have something to do with just falling directly on your ass. Maybe.
And when it happened, everybody was like,

Speaker 9 they were pointing fingers at Draymond. They were pointing fingers all over the place.
Draymond didn't do anything. I want to absolve Draymond in this collision.

Speaker 4 I like Draymond. I like what he said after the game.

Speaker 1 What did he say?

Speaker 4 They asked about the chance held. Fuck you, Draymond.
He said, that's reserved for Boston.

Speaker 1 Oh, did you see Steve Kerr? No. He got a little upset.
He said, it's not ideal when a crowd is chanting, fuck you, Draymond. Or he said, F you, Draymond.

Speaker 1 I would prefer fans could use a little more discretion. Remember that the guy has kids.
Maybe I'm old school. I'm all for the fans cheering for their team.

Speaker 1 And if they want to yell at the opponents, great. But I just think F you is a little too much.

Speaker 1 Steve Kerr, that's a pussy ass take.

Speaker 9 Yeah, I would agree. Steve Kerr kind of got pretty smarmy with it after the game because he was talking about the physicality.
Yeah. And he kind of like looked down his nose at playoff intensity.

Speaker 9 It's like, dude, you won championships with Draymond on your team. Right.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that's the funny thing about.

Speaker 9 Can't see it from that other side.

Speaker 1 Yeah, the Rockets are definitely mucking it up, and it's a very physical series, and the rest are letting them play. But Warriors fans being like, this is egregious.
What are you talking about? Yeah,

Speaker 9 you don't get to do that. Yeah.
Max, can you tell me, what is Steve Kerr's son's name?

Speaker 2 Nicholas. Nicholas.

Speaker 1 Nicholas is correct. Nicholas is correct.

Speaker 1 But good for the Rockets. Jalen Green was incredible.
He's like the most bipolar player. He had seven points in the first game, 38 points in the second game.

Speaker 1 But the big story about Jalen Green, it was shared during the broadcast. His pregame meal is chicken Alfredo.

Speaker 1 I can't think of a worse meal to have before playing a basketball game.

Speaker 9 Well, I don't know if you count that as pregame. Because what it is, I think he eats the chicken Alfredo, then he takes a nap.
Okay. And then he wakes up, and then he plays basketball.

Speaker 1 Still, a belly of chicken Alfredo at any point is not physical activity.

Speaker 9 I think he had to work his way backwards from having the.

Speaker 9 What's the best way that you can get some sleep before the game and be rested? I know I will eat a big dish of creamy pasta.

Speaker 9 So it's like it's essentially taking Nike Will so that he can sleep, so that he can play.

Speaker 1 I mean, 38 points, I guess, is the chicken Alfredo worked on Wednesday night. I just don't.
I feel like Chicken Alfredo.

Speaker 1 I mean, I'm not. Lasagna, maybe?

Speaker 9 I mean, amongst all the pastas, I would say that Chicken Alfredo is probably the worst. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I can't think of.

Speaker 9 Maybe Noki.

Speaker 9 Yeah, but

Speaker 1 I feel like they never give you enough Noki.

Speaker 9 Yeah, but if you have like all you, if you're at the buffet.

Speaker 1 No, but they always give you like 10 Noki. You're like, I want more Noki.

Speaker 1 Yeah, maybe. Is that not right, Max? I just don't like the way you're saying it.
Genoki?

Speaker 9 Noki.

Speaker 1 I'm not going to.

Speaker 1 Say it. Say it for us, Italian.
Inoki. And

Speaker 1 yoki.

Speaker 9 Yeah. It's three syllables.
In yocchi?

Speaker 2 I'm not going to say it again. Okay.

Speaker 1 Inyocy. Engi? But do you agree that they only give you like that?

Speaker 2 Memes,

Speaker 2 I a thousand percent say it that way.

Speaker 1 Do they not give you enough in yocchi?

Speaker 2 That was good. That was pretty good.

Speaker 1 Do they not

Speaker 1 agree?

Speaker 2 It depends the place that you go to. I've gone to some pretty fat places that give you a huge bowl.

Speaker 1 Of what?

Speaker 2 In yockey.

Speaker 1 That's not even Italian.

Speaker 9 I think what you're doing is like you're adding

Speaker 9 the extra valon to it. You're like, agnocchi.
Which is fine if you say it like that, but you can't say enoci.

Speaker 2 It's the G-N

Speaker 1 that

Speaker 2 it's the G-N-O that you're, you, that you're

Speaker 2 agnocchi. I'm probably saying it wrong.
I'm going to have Italians in my ass. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 9 Yeah, you're going to have Italians in your ass.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, you will. All up in your ass.

Speaker 9 Yeah, you will, Max.

Speaker 1 Maybe spaghetti meatballs, Max. You could play on spaghetti meatballs.

Speaker 2 Oh, yeah, you could play on the spaghetti.

Speaker 9 It's actually a spaghetti.

Speaker 1 It's the heavy cream. Heavy cream is just brewed.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 9 Heavy cream. Yeah, the heavy cream is,

Speaker 9 it's a very strange choice, but if it's for the purpose of just sleeping, I kind of get it. Yeah.

Speaker 9 But that's maybe one of those moves where once he turns 29 and they're going to be like, how are you changing your game? He'll be like, well, I started finally taking care of my body.

Speaker 1 You can't convince me that even with the nap in between, Jalen Green has not had at least a couple times this year where he's had a nasty burp while running up and down the court. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Because those, you know, like the three-hour later chicken chicken Alfredo burps. You're like,

Speaker 1 that's gross. Yeah.

Speaker 9 Creamy Alfredo and a glass of red wine before I get out there on the court.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Don't do it.
Yeah. I mean, lasagna was the only one I could come up with if you're just picking with the pastas.
I don't know what like a

Speaker 9 pierogi dinner would be tough, too.

Speaker 1 Yeah, pierogi would be tough, but those don't, that's another one where they don't give you like a ton.

Speaker 9 Yeah, but when I get them, I get like four different kinds of candies.

Speaker 1 Oh, yeah. Absolutely.

Speaker 1 Pierogi might be the most underrated pasta dish i don't even count it as pasta because it's polish yeah but it's got the it's got the pasta around it yeah yeah that's just a polish pasta uh okay nicks pistons nicks win jalen brunson was great he was great say something positive about jalen also cat was great i i bet cat to have a bounce back game i feel like this is just what cat does next game he's probably going to be invisible the game after he's going to be awesome also the knicks turns out passing the ball works because i felt like they passed the ball a lot better.

Speaker 1 And it wasn't just ISO ball. And the Pistons fought till the bitter end.
I think the end of the game, the last like 10 seconds, took like 25 minutes. There was a bunch of reviews.

Speaker 1 They gave him an inbound. I think the clock operator gave them a little something, something extra, and they kept on fighting, kept on fighting.

Speaker 1 Yeah, Jalen Brunson was good.

Speaker 1 You say something nice about Jalen Brunson.

Speaker 9 Yeah, I mean, he was definitely more fun to watch tonight, but that's what we said. When the Knicks win, they tend to be...

Speaker 9 It's easier to look at them as being fun. And when they lose, you look at them and you're like, God damn it, Knicks.
Why are you burning yourselves out? This isn't fun brand of basketball to watch.

Speaker 1 Yeah, they had 15 assists on, was it Monday night?

Speaker 1 Their two wins in this series. I think they had 22 and 26 assists.
So I know that's not an advanced analytics thing.

Speaker 1 It's not a huge, crazy stat, but it does feel like when the Knicks pass the ball a little bit more, get Carl Anthony Towns involved. And he was involved early.

Speaker 1 I think he had like 11 or 13 in the first quarter. He had 25 halfway through the third.
Did you watch this big difference? Yeah.

Speaker 9 Did you see the very end? Yeah, no, I just said it took like 25 minutes. Yeah, so, but what happened was crazy because the Knicks were shooting foul shots and they intentionally missed the second.

Speaker 9 They had half a second left. And what happened was the home clock operator for the Pistons started the clock as the free throw was still happening.
And so the clock ticked down to zero.

Speaker 9 The buzzer sounds the whole deal before they even get a chance to rebound it. So what happens is then you have the Pistons that get a free inbound.

Speaker 9 The clock stops and you get to inbound the ball and attempt a shot as opposed to it working out perfectly for the Knicks.

Speaker 9 The game's over at that point if the Knicks hadn't had the buzzer sound on because they missed the free throw beautifully and that was that.

Speaker 9 That is a loophole and I'm actually not mad at the clock operator.

Speaker 1 No, that's what I'm saying. It was a home.
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 You need the help.

Speaker 9 It's a great job by the home clock operator.

Speaker 9 That's definitely a trick that he saw at some point during a regular season and you mentally file that away as a clock operator and you're like, when the team needs me, I've got the best play that I can do to contribute to the win.

Speaker 9 Like, what do you do? Do you kick the clock operator out?

Speaker 1 I know what I do. Hold on.

Speaker 9 You call Rico Bosco. Yeah.

Speaker 1 I mean, he was watching the game. He's a Knicks fan.

Speaker 1 He's got to know he's a clock operator. We've got to get his take on.
He's probably so pissed. Oh, yeah.
He's got to be so pissed.

Speaker 1 There's no way he's still up, right? He tuned out the draft. Oh, no.
The Giants are coming right now.

Speaker 1 He might be live.

Speaker 1 Oh, this is bad if he doesn't pick up my phone, though. Uh-oh.

Speaker 1 What was that email?

Speaker 1 Your call has been find Rico Bosco replacement. Yeah, we'll email that if anyone wants a job.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 Grizzlies are getting killed.

Speaker 1 Oh, sorry. Grizzlies are killing the Thunder.

Speaker 1 The Thunders are getting killed. Thunder are getting killed.

Speaker 9 Down by 15.

Speaker 9 Nine minutes left in the second.

Speaker 1 That's Clipper's Knight.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you're looking at Clipper's Knight. That was a bad 30 seconds by both of us.
Let's just restart. Let's restart.
All right, here we go.

Speaker 9 I didn't know what you were doing.

Speaker 1 Three, two, one.

Speaker 1 Thunder are getting killed, PFT.

Speaker 9 77 to 51 and a half.

Speaker 1 That's crazy. It is crazy.
I didn't expect that.

Speaker 9 Just wait. Just wait.
Just wait.

Speaker 1 You think they're going to come back and win?

Speaker 9 We'll heard it here first. I think the Thunder are going to come back.

Speaker 1 I'm going to say, Grizzlies, this is one of my favorite things to bet in

Speaker 1 the playoffs: is just if a team goes down,

Speaker 1 it's two rules because I gave out the Rockets on on Wednesday's show. I said, take the Rockets.
If a home team goes down 0-1, take them in game two.

Speaker 1 If a

Speaker 1 road team goes down 0-2, you know, they lose the first two games of the road, take them game three at home. The bounce back game.

Speaker 9 Yeah, this could be a true gentleman sweep here. Yeah.
Memphis had to do something at home.

Speaker 1 But I'll tell you what, huge for the

Speaker 1 aggregate score. Yeah.
Massive. Because they were, it was trending to be like a, the Thunder beat the Grizzlies by 100 plus.
Now they might be able to even it out a little bit.

Speaker 9 So the Thunder in the first half have only made one three-pointer.

Speaker 1 They're good for five,

Speaker 1 one, one for 11 from three right now.

Speaker 9 So they will not come back and win this game if that continues. But I remain hopeful that they'll get it within 10.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 By the way, and then the other game, the Clippers look really good.

Speaker 1 You know what?

Speaker 1 Maybe we'll update it because we're taping all out of order. We'll see some more of that game.
Let's talk some hockey. Your caps are up 2-0.
2-0.

Speaker 9 Most dangerous lead in hockey.

Speaker 1 Most dangerous lead in hockey.

Speaker 12 You feel good?

Speaker 9 Yeah, we got a good Logan Thompson game last night.

Speaker 1 Okay, so you feel good.

Speaker 9 Yeah, so like I've been saying, the goaltending is a big question. Logan Thompson,

Speaker 9 the way they put it on the broadcast last night was Logan Thompson is their 1A goaltender.

Speaker 1 Oh.

Speaker 9 And I don't think they really followed it up with anything. But when you say that, you strongly imply that there's a 1B behind it.
Right. Meaning that you don't really have a goaltender.
But

Speaker 9 he played really well last night. He made some incredible saves in the third period.
So

Speaker 9 he was responsible for the win.

Speaker 9 Then, obviously, Connor McMichael, great game.

Speaker 9 Some of the guys, it wasn't as dominant as a performance as we saw in the first two periods of the first game.

Speaker 9 Wins a win, escape the barn 2-0, keep it on schedule, and then up to Montreal, where Oldie will be joining me in Montreal. Show me around.

Speaker 1 Ha-ha.

Speaker 9 So, shout out to all the Canadiens up there.

Speaker 9 I guess you speak French in Montreal. So, I took four years of French in elementary school.

Speaker 1 Elementary school?

Speaker 9 Elementary school. We.

Speaker 9 And I'm going to.

Speaker 1 Elementary school.

Speaker 9 Yeah. In my elementary school, it had like two periods a day that you could go.
Like, I learned math in French and I learned science in French.

Speaker 9 And the fucked up thing is doing division in French, it's completely different from doing it in English. So then I got to middle school, and I was like, how the fuck do you do division now? Holy shit.

Speaker 9 Yeah, it screwed me up for a while.

Speaker 1 Damn.

Speaker 9 But yeah, I think I still remember some French stuff. Oue la bibliothèque.

Speaker 9 Emple du bier.

Speaker 1 You're reading off your computer. No, I'm not.
Empleu. I just saw you.

Speaker 9 I'm not.

Speaker 1 You want to switch on to my computer? Like, yeah, it says bibliothèque, right?

Speaker 9 That's the Thunder Grizzly score. This is Bibliothèque.
Live score. So, yeah, I'm pumped to check out Montreal and just basically pumped to spend time with the oldie people.

Speaker 1 Yeah, it's going to be great.

Speaker 9 Caps look good. I still feel like it's our year.
I am keeping an eye, a very close eye on the Maple Leafs, though. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 So they are Team Destiny. By the way, Rico just texted me back.
This is big for us because I see sometimes there's a complaint that our NHL recap is not long enough. We will have Biz on next week.

Speaker 1 We're not the experts in hockey. We do have hockey experts we'll have on, but this will all count towards the NHL recap, the timestamp.
So we'll have Rico, and that will be part of it.

Speaker 1 Bosco,

Speaker 1 what's up? You called? Yeah, I called.

Speaker 1 What do you mean? You saw that I called.

Speaker 14 Yeah, fair. What's up?

Speaker 1 Well, I mean, what was that question? You saw that I called? Could have been a pocket dial.

Speaker 14 It could have been a pocket dial. Could have been, you know, I don't know.

Speaker 1 Okay, all right. All right.
So we're taping PMT right now. What happened at the end of the Knicks Pistons game in terms of a clock operator's point of view?

Speaker 14 Yeah, I'm being a little dunked on because I'm calling the guy the Pistons clock operator. They say it's a neutral clock operator for the playoffs.
So people are getting mad about that.

Speaker 14 But either way, basically, the guy operating the clock at the pistons should be fired. It's horrific.
I expect that error from a fucking mom volunteering at St.

Speaker 14 Anne's who had a couple of cocktails up at Lee's in between the five o'clock and very relatable

Speaker 14 game. I do not expect this from a pro.
You got to be banned. You got to turn in your card, your credential.
It's horrific. And I said spin zone.

Speaker 14 I know you guys looked at spin zones on on that show uh oh

Speaker 14 precedent this sets a precedent that you know if you got your hooks into detroit or you want to see who's going to win you just do the error and hope the team gets a rebound and then they're taking out on the side with a chance to win you know what i mean well yeah yeah that's what the play was yeah so so walk us through what you thought should have happened

Speaker 14 You gotta fucking wait till someone touches the ball, man. It's a day one mistake.

Speaker 9 Yeah. So do you think it was intentional, Rico?

Speaker 9 i think that it opened that the possibility it could have been intentional yeah okay and and so you got some information saying that's a neutral clock operator so they fly these guys in

Speaker 14 i guess yeah i don't it's an i think it might be the ultimate i don't really know i'm be honest i don't know

Speaker 14 college has college has table staffs per you know whatever like senhall has guys who work there and whatever i in and out to the nba table staff i have not cracked that yet You haven't cracked it.

Speaker 9 Can you crack that for us?

Speaker 14 I'll try. Yeah, I do know the guy at the garden.
I email him every year. Hey, you know, have a great season.
Like, hoping if you need anything, I'm available. Like, put me in the rotation.

Speaker 14 And he just says, thanks. I'll keep you in mind that he, for 10, the last 10 years, he has not put me in his rotation.

Speaker 1 So,

Speaker 1 you're talking about the Madison Square Garden. You wanted to do the clock there.

Speaker 14 I would start doing the book. I would start being his spotter.
I would start.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Do they have a book?

Speaker 1 You know

Speaker 1 you have a job, right?

Speaker 14 Yeah, Dan. I'm saying from 10 years ago, I used to fucking email the guy.

Speaker 1 But then you said you emailed him every year.

Speaker 14 I know. I was, you know, I...

Speaker 9 Never give up on your dreams.

Speaker 1 There's a little exaggeration.

Speaker 14 Like, you know, like Billy Joel said about fucking

Speaker 1 when he wrote piano, man.

Speaker 14 Like, you know, like, whatever. There's a little exaggeration.

Speaker 1 Yeah, when he wrote about piano.

Speaker 9 Wait, wait, Rico, I got a question for you. Do they still have a book?

Speaker 1 Okay, Rico, last question. Say something about hockey because this is all going in the hockey recap, and we need to just be like, Yeah, we actually were talking hockey that time.

Speaker 14 Uh, yeah, I'll give a pitch to my show. Pick Central every day.

Speaker 1 No, no, no, no, no. I said say something about hockey.

Speaker 14 Okay, I will, Dan. We got Merles on every day now.

Speaker 1 Merles is the best. We love Merles.

Speaker 1 A goal scorer.

Speaker 14 We're chasing the plus sign, because we don't know shit about hockey. So if you

Speaker 1 say something about the NHL playoffs.

Speaker 14 I got Vegas to win the cup, and they look like shit last game. Big favorite.
They're losing tonight. As we speak, it's 2-1.

Speaker 14 Yeah, I'm in trouble with my future.

Speaker 1 4-1.

Speaker 1 It's 4-1. Rico, update.
It's 4-1.

Speaker 1 4-1? Yeah, 4-1.

Speaker 14 Jesus Christ.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Okay, good puck recap.

Speaker 14 Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 All right, thanks, Rico. Thank you.

Speaker 9 Rico, crack that case for us. Yeah, please do.

Speaker 14 I will. I'll try to crack that case.

Speaker 1 All right, okay.

Speaker 9 It might take a long time to crack that case because I did

Speaker 1 hang up. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Hang up. Okay.

Speaker 9 Yeah, it's going to take a while to crack that. I just did a Google search, and in approximately 0.5 seconds, I found out, yes, it is a neutral clock operator that they fly out to play off sites.

Speaker 9 So consider that nut cracked.

Speaker 1 That could be a hockey take.

Speaker 1 I have to text him, speaking of the kraken, because that could have been

Speaker 1 you cut out.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that might have been a good joke.

Speaker 1 Okay, Lee's year.

Speaker 9 Oh, wait, he's going to say, speaking of the cracking, how about that fat fuck Max in his pants?

Speaker 9 That's what he's going to say.

Speaker 9 I'm not making the joke. Rico was going to say, no, I intercepted his joke.
No, you said it. I intercepted it, then I threw it to my own team.

Speaker 1 Who's your team? I pitched it back to you, Max.

Speaker 9 Yeah, he threw it back to you. Yeah, now you return it.

Speaker 1 Thanks.

Speaker 1 Leafs year.

Speaker 1 Overtime winner.

Speaker 9 It might be the Leaf Sear.

Speaker 1 Not worth on the pod inside barstool question. All good.

Speaker 1 He was on the pod when.

Speaker 9 Speaking of the Kraken.

Speaker 2 Rico is incapable of going on to a Barstool podcast without saying something. Actually, let's keep this off of this.

Speaker 1 Yeah, like, what do you mean? You were on.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 2 He loves bringing up on a podcast. Let's not keep this in the pod.
Yeah.

Speaker 9 Hey, Dan, thank you for asking me on Depart Depart of My Take so I can talk about the one thing in the world. I'm an expert knowledge clock operator.
I don't know the answer to the question.

Speaker 9 And also, I'd like to talk to you about my future employment at Boston Sports.

Speaker 1 By the way, Lee's

Speaker 1 the pizza place he said, very good. I actually have been there.
Okay. Can you get a coach?

Speaker 1 I've never been a female coaching eighth grade at St. Anne's, though.
Okay. So not, that's where the relatability fell off.
Got it. Yeah.

Speaker 9 But yeah, it does feel like the Leafs here. Yeah.
They look really, really good. Although it would be very, very funny to get a 3-0 lead.

Speaker 1 That would be funny, PFT.

Speaker 9 Listen, I'm not wishing that for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Speaker 1 But it would be funny.

Speaker 9 But even if you're a Leafs fan, you're thinking that, goddamn, this would just be comedy. Yeah.
If you're a fan of comedy, you will appreciate it.

Speaker 1 They've done it again. Yeah.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 And Panthers, by the way, Panthers, who are the defending Stanley Cup champion, up 2-0 on the Lightning. I'm worried about the Avs.
That was bad.

Speaker 1 Another overtime loss, two in a row. That feels bad.
That's a bad feeling, especially

Speaker 1 how late the games are. Again, you can just.
Me personally, they're bad.

Speaker 9 If you're the Avs, you can just blame the system. Yeah.
We shouldn't be playing these guys in the first round. Come on.

Speaker 1 Yeah, the system is fucked up. You're right, PFT.

Speaker 9 Yeah, fight the powers of the.

Speaker 1 It was the system that got me.

Speaker 9 You know what's great about the system, though?

Speaker 9 Freebird has become the NHL theme song now.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I know.

Speaker 9 They play it like six times a night.

Speaker 1 In and out. Yeah.

Speaker 9 It's so good.

Speaker 1 Of the commercials. And by the way, the Kings, I wish I had known about the Harmonica band before

Speaker 1 the playoffs because I would have bet the Kings.

Speaker 9 They got to do every game, right? Every single game.

Speaker 1 Every single game. The fact they brought it back is like that's a team that is

Speaker 1 there, they got their eye, they got their ear to the street. That was very smart of them.

Speaker 1 How long was that hockey talk?

Speaker 2 17 minutes.

Speaker 1 Oh, I love it. I love it.
I just made that number up. Okay.

Speaker 1 We will have an expert on, though.

Speaker 9 Are any goalies standing on their heads?

Speaker 1 I would assume.

Speaker 1 Let's see. Bennington, I feel like, has been standing on his head the last two games.
He's capable. Well, no, they're down 2-0.
They're winning right now. Actually, I'm watching right now.

Speaker 1 He just gave up a goal. So that was

Speaker 9 a bad call. You pushed him off his own head.
Oh,

Speaker 1 the

Speaker 1 Bob, right? Bobrovsky? Yeah, he had a shutout tonight.

Speaker 9 Bobrovsky standing on his own head.

Speaker 1 That was pretty good.

Speaker 9 I thought that Logan Thompson stood on his head for about two periods last night.

Speaker 1 Yeah, so there you go. That's good.
So that's a big time standing on the head. And I feel like the Devils haven't scored any goals.

Speaker 1 I might be wrong, but it feels like the Devils haven't scored any goals. They might have scored like one or two goals.
Maybe even more than that. But it feels, doesn't it feel like to you?

Speaker 1 Also, whoever the Stars goalie is, Ottinger, is that who the Stars goalie is? Yeah. He's been...
Definitely standing on his head because he's won two overtime games.

Speaker 9 It's really hard to say after one round of the Stanley Cup playoffs who is looking like they could win the cup because you don't know with the matchups that they have. Right.
Like, it could all be

Speaker 9 the team that you're playing against. I was looking at the Stanley Cup bracket today,

Speaker 9 and I know it's the same as the NBA in terms of numbers of rounds, but for some reason, it feels so much harder to get to a Stanley Cup final than it does to get to an NBA final title.

Speaker 1 I completely agree. Yeah.

Speaker 4 Less time in between games.

Speaker 1 Yeah, they play every other night with real sports. That is very nice that they do that.

Speaker 9 It's easy to, anyone can win an NBA title. It's not even really a championship.
Stanley Cup. Now, that's a sport.

Speaker 1 Hank?

Speaker 9 Oh, that wasn't referring to Hank.

Speaker 4 They've been selling stuff 18 NBA titles.

Speaker 1 But he's coming at you right now about these players.

Speaker 9 Oh, yeah. I'm saying, like,

Speaker 9 easy. Easy to win.

Speaker 4 It's not.

Speaker 4 I don't know what I'm supposed to say there.

Speaker 9 I mean, you just cakewalk through the East.

Speaker 1 He's trying to poke you. It's not.

Speaker 4 The Cavs are good. Magic are tough.

Speaker 4 Nicks, bing-bong.

Speaker 1 I'm dying to know what this cracking joke is, and he won't say it. He keeps saying more of a bad joke.
All good in cab home. Have a good show.

Speaker 9 In cab home. So he can't talk.

Speaker 1 In cab home. He can't talk.
He can't talk in a cab.

Speaker 1 I'm going to say it right now. The Clippers are up to one.
Calling it. Okay.
You like that? Putting a pin in it? Making an early call. It is.
They're better than the Nuggets.

Speaker 1 It's just, I think they are.

Speaker 9 It's the second quarter.

Speaker 1 Yep, and they're up 18. Okay.
And I'm going to say it right now. I mean, the Clippers, Hank,

Speaker 1 you said it the other day. Clippers might be a problem.

Speaker 9 Barcelona Sports are good. Is projected.

Speaker 1 The Clippers are really good.

Speaker 9 That's the LA Clippers have won this game.

Speaker 1 Yeah, we're calling it. It's not too early to call.
We're calling this fight. The Clippers are up 2-1, and the Clippers are good.
And we'll see. I mean, James Harden's playing well tonight.

Speaker 9 Did you see what they did in LA to try to distract Jokic?

Speaker 1 No.

Speaker 9 This was great.

Speaker 9 Pull this up on the TV, Max.

Speaker 1 This, by the way, still counts as NHL talk.

Speaker 9 Yeah, it is. This is technically NHL.
This is actually horse racing talk. Yeah.
So

Speaker 9 at Intuit Dome, they have horse hats that they put in the front row tonight to distract Jokic.

Speaker 9 Look at these hats.

Speaker 1 Let me see it.

Speaker 9 Oh, I love it. They're like full-on horses.

Speaker 1 I love it.

Speaker 9 Look at that. So they're trying to distract him with it.
I think, however, this could be, it could be a bad move.

Speaker 9 I could see a world where this backfires, where Jokic, it's like when you have real baddies sitting in the front row. Yeah.
And then all of a sudden, Jordan Poole's dropping 62 points.

Speaker 1 He gets in his his zen spot.

Speaker 9 Yeah, so Jokic sees these horses and he's like, I got a stunt for these hoes. All right, fucking I hate this.

Speaker 1 Just say the fucking joke, dude.

Speaker 14 Well, it's not a joke. Yeah, it's more like whatever.
It's uh, listen, the thing next month, uh,

Speaker 14 where I'll be providing definitely skills as a referee, just

Speaker 14 I also have skills as a player.

Speaker 1 I, okay. That was that to do with the kraken,

Speaker 14 nothing but the cracking.

Speaker 9 You were gonna say something about the cracking.

Speaker 1 You said the thing about the kraken.

Speaker 14 Oh, no, I said, yeah,

Speaker 14 I was going to say cracking into, like, the lineup. You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 Oh, all right. Okay, bye.

Speaker 1 All right. All right.

Speaker 11 That was bad.

Speaker 1 That would have been such an all-time moment if you said I was going to say cracking like Max's belt. Yeah, that would have been way better.

Speaker 9 But good thing we got you ready for that, Max, just in case he did say it.

Speaker 1 Thanks, guys. Yeah.

Speaker 1 You were ready.

Speaker 9 Failing to prepare is preparing to fight.

Speaker 2 I forgot that he's got skills in that thing that we're doing.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that thing we're doing. You got to keep it under wraps.

Speaker 9 Okay, he treats the most inconsequential stuff like they're the nuclear code. Correct.

Speaker 1 Correct.

Speaker 1 You got to just be worried that the FBI is listening at all times.

Speaker 1 Okay, should we get to our interview with Justin Thomas? Let's do it. All right.

Speaker 5 All protein bars generally taste the same, but not one bars. One-made protein bars are actually delicious with Reese's and Hershey's.

Speaker 5 Only one Reese's peanut butter lover's protein bar is made with Reese's peanut butter, and only one Hershey's cookies Cookies and Cream protein bars is made with Hershey's cookie bits while delivering 18 grams of protein and 3 grams of sugar.

Speaker 5 One bars are the perfect protein bar to get you through your busy day, whether you need a quick pick-me-up between meetings or you need some fuel to power you through your next workout.

Speaker 5 One also has other delicious flavors like birthday cake, maple glazed donut, and blueberry cobbler. Find all one bars at a retailer near you or on amazon.com.

Speaker 9 Man, I'll tell you what.

Speaker 15 When you're you're hungry out there, you start acting like a rookie quarterback in his first game, making bad decisions, messing up the basics, being all out of sorts.

Speaker 15 That's where Snickers comes in, man. That thing is packed.
Roasted peanuts, nuggets, caramel, milk chocolate. It's like the MVP of candy bars.

Speaker 15 And when you bite into it, boom, it sorts you out, gets your head back in the game of life, satisfying your hunger. Remember this: Snickers handles your hunger so you can handle everything else.

Speaker 15 Snickers satisfies, man. That's a winning play.

Speaker 9 And now here's Justin Thomas.

Speaker 1 Okay, we now welcome on a very special guest, recurring guest, fresh off his big victory at the RBC Heritage. It's Justin Thomas.

Speaker 1 JT, congrats, first of all. We got to start with the question we always ask when we have a golfer on after they've won.
Has it hit the account yet?

Speaker 1 Yes. Oh, was it this morning?

Speaker 11 At some point today.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah.

Speaker 9 How is that refreshed when you looked it up? Probably pretty good.

Speaker 11 To be honest, I didn't see it firsthand, but I do know it's there.

Speaker 1 Someone told you. Yeah, that they saw it.

Speaker 9 Okay. That's a great feeling.
Yeah.

Speaker 9 Do you still have the plaid jacket? Do you take that with you?

Speaker 11 You can. It wasn't my size, so they're sending me my size.
Okay.

Speaker 9 It's a pretty cool jacket, I would say. Yeah.

Speaker 1 It is. Yeah.
Yeah.

Speaker 11 My cousin is adamant that he's wearing it to his sister's wedding this fall. So we'll see how that goes.

Speaker 1 Yeah. You got to let him.
So, all right. So incredible win for you.
It had been three years.

Speaker 1 Really happy you're back in, you know, up at the top of your game.

Speaker 1 What has the three years been like? Because

Speaker 1 you went through some ups and downs. Golf is a brutal sport.
Was there ever a moment where you're like, I might not find it again, even though I know I can do this?

Speaker 11 uh i mean a little bit there's it's been a while i can't believe it it was three years i mean i feel like the first year felt like it was forever and that it took forever and then

Speaker 11 then last year felt like i played better and gave myself some chances it just didn't get it done and then it it was kind of joking with the media when i got done that it it luckily on my end had been so long like i i was past the point of of being asked every week like you know it's been this long since you've won like when's it going to happen I was like, you guys basically just, you had to move on.

Speaker 11 You had other stuff that you need to talk about. So that was way in the past that I didn't have to worry about it anymore, which was nice, but, um, or be reminded of it, I should say.

Speaker 11 But there's definitely some times mentally where you're, I just was

Speaker 11 trying to remind myself that it is really hard to win and there's a reason there's only one of them every single week. And, um, and to try to somehow stay patient, then that my time would come.

Speaker 11 But that's always easier said than done.

Speaker 9 Yeah, it was funny because I saw something I think was on NBC, and some of the analysts were talking about your career.

Speaker 9 And because you won this weekend, they said I could make an argument that he is the best American player of his generation, which is really crazy that they said that like right after you won, as if that's the reason why.

Speaker 9 It's not anything else.

Speaker 9 Have you thought about what that win, like now you're officially in the conversation because of this one win?

Speaker 11 Yeah, I laughed. Somebody said that.
It's like, well, you know, where I didn't hear that being said at all in the last, you know, the last couple of years.

Speaker 11 It just somehow it was a big win for me, but apparently I didn't know it was that big.

Speaker 1 So I guess that's great.

Speaker 11 But you know how sports are. They have a lot of recency bias in there.
And anytime that everybody wants to talk about whoever's the most recent winner or who's playing the best at that time.

Speaker 11 But I mean, I do know over the course of my career, you know, I have. I've been fortunate to rack up some a good amount of wins and

Speaker 11 different things here and there. But, you know, I got a lot more that I want to accomplish.

Speaker 11 So, hopefully, by the end of my career, I have a little better argument than some people just saying they think that after one win type thing.

Speaker 9 You know, you were dog shit last week, and now this week, you're one of the best of all time.

Speaker 1 So, congratulations.

Speaker 9 Is there a thing where you get a win and you feel like you might be able to go out there and play just like a little bit lighter, like a little bit more free without the expectation?

Speaker 11 For sure. I got more and more comfortable each time I'd get in contention, I'd say, this year.
I think last year I put so much pressure on myself every time I got in contention that I had to win.

Speaker 11 And I just felt like

Speaker 11 it was really hard, but I never played well on Sundays. I mean, I would have some good finishes, but I never really had a chance the last couple holes or the back nine.

Speaker 11 And then I feel like this year I try to learn from that a little bit. And then really.
I'm just trying to be more patient and let it happen. And

Speaker 11 so it's, I feel, I'm just trying to learn from, you know, the past couple years of mistakes of trying too hard almost, but that's always another thing in golf that's way easier said than done.

Speaker 1 Yeah. All right.
I got a dumb question for you.

Speaker 1 It's a who's the alpha question. I saw that you credited Xander Shoffley for helping you with your putting.

Speaker 1 Now, are you the alpha because you basically tricked one of your competitors? I know you guys are friends, but your competition into helping you?

Speaker 1 Or is he the alpha because Justin Thomas can't win again without Xander Xander Shoffley's help?

Speaker 11 Damn, that is a. I don't know if that's a stupid question.
That's a good question.

Speaker 1 Thank you. Yeah, it's because I read it.
I read it and obviously the initial, how normal human beings should think is, that's a really cool story. Guys helping each other out.

Speaker 1 I obviously read it was like, well, now I got to figure out who's got the edge here.

Speaker 9 I think you have the edge now. I think he had the edge until you won.
Yeah. And that he's like, yeah, he's coming to me for advice.

Speaker 9 I'll give him a couple pointers here and there. But now that.

Speaker 1 He's a poor poor fella. This poor little guy.
I'll help him out.

Speaker 9 Yeah, because now you can take what he taught you and then like add one small wrinkle. Here's what really put me over the top.
Right. And then teach him.

Speaker 1 You have to give him advice back.

Speaker 1 Or do I? Or do you?

Speaker 11 That's the thing.

Speaker 11 I think to really, to really make sure that

Speaker 11 I'm standing my ground in this alpha battle is if I get assed down the road, just be like, nah, I'm good.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Well, you also can't let Xander come up to you and be like, hey, JT, you want another tip so you can win again? Because that would be devastating.

Speaker 11 Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 11 You know what? Honestly, I don't give a shit.

Speaker 1 I'll take a tip from whoever.

Speaker 11 As long as I keep winning tournaments, I don't care how I get them.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you can leave these debates up to us because

Speaker 1 we have endless amounts of time to do the dumbest circular debates that make no sense. So

Speaker 1 we'll handle this.

Speaker 1 How does it feel? Like, obviously, this win is big, but it's also a Ryder Cup year.

Speaker 1 I know you want to be back on the team. It had to have been a little uncomfortable two years ago where you were just like, your name was hotly debated.

Speaker 1 You weren't out there saying like, oh, I need to be on the team, but it was being, you were part of the debate of who makes the last spot.

Speaker 1 Is that part of like a motivation this year being like, hey, I want to get it, so I'm not in this debate anymore. I'm just on the team.

Speaker 11 For sure.

Speaker 11 Having to rely on a pick for Rome and then hoping to get a pick to the President's Cup last year and not, it sucks. Like it's the worst feeling ever.
And

Speaker 11 I mean, it's kind of hard for

Speaker 11 to be looking for sympathy or for people to feel bad for you because I mean, it all it's my own fault.

Speaker 11 I mean, if I would have played better or put myself in a position where I qualified, I wouldn't have had to deal with it.

Speaker 11 I was fortunate that I haven't had to in the past, and I like being an automatic qualifier and being a part of those conversations of who the picks are a lot more.

Speaker 11 So, I definitely want to make sure that I'm not relying on a a pick because it's not a fun place to be in. And

Speaker 11 it's just, it's, you know, you're damned if you're damned if you don't. But as long as I can get in that top six, I don't have to worry about it.

Speaker 9 In the Ryder Cup, when we're playing on the road, what are the things that the opposing crowd can do that makes life very difficult for a Ryder Cup golfer?

Speaker 1 It's, man, it's so bizarre.

Speaker 11 It's,

Speaker 11 it's just, it's such a, it's just uncomfortable.

Speaker 11 I think it's hard to explain, but it's just a, you know, you don't have the difference of other sports where it's, you know, they're, it's not like they're loud

Speaker 11 while you're hitting or anything. It's still golf.

Speaker 11 And I think that's what's such a unique and different part of it compared to other sports, but it's just the roars for them versus the roars for the U.S.

Speaker 11 or, you know, the shit that's maybe being said to you between shots or,

Speaker 11 you know, walking from greens to tease, whatever it is.

Speaker 11 I just think there's just little things there that if you aren't ready for it mentally, or if you maybe aren't sure how to cope with it, it can be really, really tough.

Speaker 11 And it's just not something that we ever deal with. So

Speaker 11 it's not a good rep for our soft golf image that we have, that's for sure.

Speaker 9 Yeah, I mean, Long Island's going to be ready. We know that.

Speaker 9 But if there's going to be, like, I'm trying to find the small differences, the details that the fans can be on that might give a boost.

Speaker 9 Like, what's it like if you're playing in Europe and you hit a shot? It's a terrible shot. It goes in the water.

Speaker 9 And then to hear the crowd erupt and cheer after you hit it because on the tour, you never get that. That never happens.
If you hit a bad shot, everyone's like, oh, oh, no, oh, dear.

Speaker 9 But out there, they're like, fuck yeah, this guy just screwed up. That's awesome.

Speaker 11 Yeah, it is. It's, it's, it really is little stuff like that, but it honestly, it's the difference of roars for us versus them.

Speaker 11 Like, it's, it's wild and it's hard to explain, but it's, you know, when when, depending on the golf course, how the routing is, if you're three or four holes away from, you know, the first match out and you're the last match, you know, when you hear a roar, if it was for you or for them, depending on where you are.

Speaker 11 And it's just when the crowd gets really loud behind your team, I think it's, that's probably more of what it is. It's just the support for the home team versus the

Speaker 11 disadvantage for the away, you know, like the, the, the taunting or whatnot of the away team. Because like you said, it's Long Island.

Speaker 11 It's going to be chippy.

Speaker 11 And we all know that.

Speaker 11 I'm just glad they're on our team.

Speaker 9 Stu Finer is going to be there for Scotty. Yeah.
That's going to amp him up.

Speaker 1 It's going to be a bunch of Stu Finers out there. Just Long Island people just going nuts.

Speaker 1 Also, dumb question. So you win the RBC Heritage, you beat Andrew Novak.
He has not won a tournament before. What's the proper amount of

Speaker 1 talk afterwards? Because that's a tricky situation where I know if like I lose and someone's like trying to

Speaker 1 like you don't want to pat them on the back too much, but you also want to be like, hey, dude, you played great. So what, how is that conversation?

Speaker 11 Yeah, it's just, I mean, first off, it's kind of, it was kind of like a blackout moment. Like I'm a little unconscious of kind of the celebrating and what's going on.

Speaker 11 And then it is, it's, it's just like, oh, God, I have to take my hat off and like shake this guy's hand now. But it was a,

Speaker 11 I mean, I just said, you know, great, great plan this week. And, you know, we'll see in a couple of weeks.
That's pretty much all it is. It's, there's not, there's, there's not a whole lot.

Speaker 11 There is a funny story.

Speaker 11 A handful of years ago, Jordan Speed was in a playoff with Tom Gillis, who is not, doesn't play professionally anymore. And Jordan beat Tom in a playoff.

Speaker 11 And for the whole year, Jason Duffner was grilling Jordan. He's like, man, he's like, you just ruined Tom Gillis's career.
He could have been, he would have had a two-year exemption.

Speaker 11 He would have been in Maui, Kapalua. He would have taken his family there.

Speaker 11 They would have been swimming with the dolphins at the tournament champions, but you had to beat him in a playoff and ruin his life.

Speaker 1 Oh, man.

Speaker 1 Absolutely. Oh, just and it's probably, yeah, I mean, he's not playing anymore.
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 9 You got to change his name and go into comedy. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Hopefully.

Speaker 1 Hopefully Andrew Novak wins one. So you're not, you know, it's not like, hey, Justin Thomas, he was that close and then Justin Thomas ended it for him.

Speaker 9 You got to be the biggest Novak fan of the world now. Yeah.

Speaker 11 I got faith that Gilly was a little closer to the end of his career and Andrew's playing well. So I, I, boy, I haven't thought of that after saying the story.

Speaker 11 And yeah, I definitely hope that it pans out now.

Speaker 9 Yeah, do you, um, if you're in the lead going into the going into Sunday, do you talk with your opponent? Because I know Bryson was a little miffed.

Speaker 9 He's miffed at Rory for not chopping it up out there of the course.

Speaker 11 Yeah.

Speaker 9 I feel like a lot of guys just do their own thing, but yeah, what do you do?

Speaker 11 They do, especially when it's two Sims. I think when it's threesoms,

Speaker 11 it's way slower and like you're just something, it just, it's different. Like you have way more time that you're waiting and like you just kind of happen to talk more.

Speaker 11 But I mean, when it's twosomes, there's times where you just are kind of, someone hits it this way, someone hits it this way, and you kind of, you're just, you're going your separate way, just you and your caddy the whole time.

Speaker 11 And also, yeah, I'm not really out there to like have a big conversation.

Speaker 11 I mean, you'll catch up here and there, but I'd say that's pretty, pretty normal amongst everybody that we're just out there taking care or trying to take care of business. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Do you want to comment at all about Alabama football?

Speaker 1 No, I'm good. Okay.
That's that's interesting because I feel like if we had had you on at any point in the last nine years, you would have been like, fuck yeah, I do.

Speaker 1 How's it going? Actually, my Badgers have to go to Tuscaloosa. That's going to suck for me.

Speaker 1 I went to the game in September this year at Camp Randall, and I think the Badgers are up 3-0.

Speaker 1 I was like, this doesn't mean anything. And I had an Alabama fan sitting next to me.
They're like, yeah, we're not worried. And then you guys won like 42-3 or something.
So you get that win.

Speaker 1 But other than that,

Speaker 11 it was an interesting year.

Speaker 11 We got a lot of spoiled Alabama fans.

Speaker 11 I'm not near as bad as I used to be. I think I used to be unbearable to watch games with.
At least that's what I've been told.

Speaker 1 But

Speaker 11 I mean, hey, it was first year for a coach, and I hate what's going on in NCAA sports right now with the NIL and the transferring.

Speaker 11 I just think it's not not good for college sports and the athletes in general. But, you know, we're basketball school now.

Speaker 1 Oh, good spin zone. Oh, okay.

Speaker 9 How many championship games have you guys been to? What's that? You guys have been to a bunch of championship games, right?

Speaker 9 In basketball.

Speaker 1 All right. I get it.

Speaker 1 What about, do you, do you, as an Alabama fan, acknowledge Rico Bosco as an Alabama fan?

Speaker 11 Rico Bosco is an Alabama fan? Yeah, all right, so there we go.

Speaker 1 That was the answer we needed. He's a Nate Oates.
He's a Nadoates fan. He's a Nate Oates fan over everything.
So he just rides with Nate Oates.

Speaker 11 Nate Oates is, he's, I'm a big Nate Oates fan. I remember the first time I ever met him, it was like an Alabama charity event for the golf team.

Speaker 11 And he was just, he had just gotten signed as a coach and he's just mowing down an ice cream cone. And he's like, what do you do? I was like, I play golf.
He's like, nice.

Speaker 11 I don't know anything about golf.

Speaker 1 I was like, sounds good, coach. That's a Lexia.
I'll see you down the road.

Speaker 1 Wait, so did you, have you given some money to the new Alabama facilities because it looks insane i have yeah it's nuts man it's uh i don't know i i

Speaker 11 i told coach sewell our our golf coach this is the most impressive thing he's ever done as a coach to raise that much money in tuscaloose alabama that's uh that facility is it's just bananas and they um

Speaker 1 yeah i've all the good stuff happened after i left school yeah so how many uh like eight or nine win seasons for the football team before we're starting to do some repo work on the golf stuff and being like, all right, we're selling this simulator, we're downsight, we're raising this whole building because we got to get the money back to the football program.

Speaker 11 Yeah, you know, that's that's true. They may have to start like uh leasing or renting out like half of the golf facility, like half people living in the locker room, stuff like that.

Speaker 1 Yeah, they'll find a way, you know.

Speaker 11 That's what the that's what the athletic department's for.

Speaker 9 Yeah, when you're looking back to 2016, 2017, are you like, man, those spring breaks were movies, absolute scenes, the golf bros.

Speaker 11 Yeah.

Speaker 9 Yeah, it was pretty good. Which one was better, 2016 or 2017?

Speaker 11 Um,

Speaker 11 the first, I, or, the first one was, was, was better.

Speaker 11 It was 20, uh, 2016, because it was, it was our first time, and it was, I felt like the next year we went, like, we wanted to do it, but it was, it felt like we like had to, and it was, you know, we had to like

Speaker 11 be posting a certain it was just it was different it it took away the the fun of the you know the debauchery of a of a boys trip of just playing golf and just you know drinking beers the whole time but i think the first one was better just with how sunday went for in the masters for jordan and smiley being in the final group and not and smiley playing poorly and Jordan, you know, having a, having a tough back nine and not winning.

Speaker 11 So it was, it was, everything was needed for that trip.

Speaker 9 Yeah, just hit like a nice reset on there.

Speaker 9 That's how a lot of these vacations go. You go on a trip with your boys, you have a great time, and everybody's like, we got to do this again every year.

Speaker 9 And then you try to do it the second year and it's kind of like the first one, but it's maybe not quite as fun. But it was a good group of dudes.

Speaker 11 If you go back to the same place, for sure.

Speaker 11 I have tried to pretty much every year since I've left home. I'm really close with

Speaker 11 a group of guys who I went to high school with, and I do a boys trip with them every year. We just, you know, we'll have three, three, four of us.

Speaker 11 And I mean, now that everyone's got families, it gets pretty tough. But,

Speaker 11 and I'm just like, you know, we just need to, whether they come here or we go somewhere, and, but we try to do somewhere different, and it's, it's a blast.

Speaker 9 Do you play golf on your boys' trips?

Speaker 11 Yeah, because that's all they want to do. I'll bring like a left-handed set sometimes.

Speaker 11 I have one friend who talks a lot of shit, and I just love beating him left-handed because then he can't say anything. And it really, really, really hurts him inside.
So

Speaker 9 i remind him of that quite yeah that's such a dick move but i respect it that's what best friends do to each other yeah what do you shoot left-handed what's that what do you shoot left-handed

Speaker 11 um i've only i've only played full 18 holes twice and i'm kind of like right around 100 but i can i can shoot mid 40s if if i'm not drinking when i start drink if i'm drinking and i'm playing left-handed like it is bad it's i can't I i just I hit a point and I'm like, this, this, I don't know why you guys play golf.

Speaker 1 Like, this isn't fun.

Speaker 11 I can't do anything I want to do. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah. I mean that's how we play golf.
Yeah. Yeah.
Pretty much every time we go out. All right, so Hank has uh he's right here.
He's he's a our golf pro. You got some questions for for JT, Hank?

Speaker 4 Yeah, a couple of questions, uh JT.

Speaker 1 You're you're a whoop guy.

Speaker 4 I've been I've been wearing my whoop.

Speaker 4 My first question, I was just curious like what the

Speaker 4 stress stats difference is between like a Sunday back nine and maybe like a Thursday, you know, Thursday, Friday, first first or second round. Like is there a a big difference?

Speaker 4 And is there a way for you to simulate pressure when you're practicing like that?

Speaker 11 It's a good question.

Speaker 11 I haven't looked at the stress before. I'm going to have my phone right here.
I'm going to give you just full-blown raw data.

Speaker 4 Because they posted Rory's when he was in the playoff at Sawgrass, and it was like his

Speaker 4 stress went all the way low before he hit his playoff shot on 17.

Speaker 11 It seems crazy to me to be able to control that, but obviously that's what what you guys do like i've done some some some stuff in past of like yeah i mean it my it looks like they were pretty similar it was a little lower on thursday

Speaker 11 and friday than it was on sunday

Speaker 11 but pretty similar but i mean i've done like some stuff um

Speaker 11 some breath work stuff to where i i know how to at least try to kind of get my heart rate down.

Speaker 11 My heart rate's higher, I would say, way higher than Rory's or some other people, but it's more of just kind of like my

Speaker 11 getting it to my whatever baseline is type thing.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 9 You ever do the backaway where you're about to hit a big putt and you're like, no, it's just not right. Something's not right.
Step away?

Speaker 11 Yeah. Yeah.
I've backed, I mean, it's, I've backed off a bunch. It's, it's just a,

Speaker 11 I think if, for me, I'm very visual and

Speaker 11 like kind of artistic in the sense of like what I'm seeing. If I'm putting, like, I want to be able to kind of see the line or see the trace.
And if I'm over a shot, same type of thing.

Speaker 11 And if I don't have like a clear vision or somewhat of an idea what I'm doing, it's, it's not good. But, you know, I've I've hit many of shots when I haven't, backed off when I should have.

Speaker 11 But yeah, when I don't have that, that's generally when I'm when I'm backing off to try to get some kind of idea.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 9 Hank, you got anything else?

Speaker 4 Yeah, I'm a big, I'm a bad golfer and a mental head case at that. And I'm a big fan of

Speaker 4 seeing like one Instagram reel with a tip and then just completely changing everything I do.

Speaker 4 And I saw one recently that was Patrick Cantley talking about how he only uses one wedge around the greens where he used to have, you know, the different numbers and try the different shots and stuff.

Speaker 4 And he got better once he was like, I'm just going to use a 60. I think he said 61, which I didn't understand.
But I'm just going to use a 61 and just use that for everything.

Speaker 4 And I was like, I think I'm going to start doing that, even though I never have before. And I was curious if that, because it made sense to me where it's like, you think less.

Speaker 4 You know what club you're going to hit, but obviously you have a great short game and you know you probably need different shots but is that something you would would recommend or thought about

Speaker 11 yeah it's funny because like mike who caddies for me now used to caddy for patrick uh for a while so i mean i've known him not only through caddy for me but before that and and pat is also someone who's he knows a

Speaker 11 a lot of different things about the game, but he'll kind of subtly pick guys' brains and when he wants to learn stuff.

Speaker 11 And I remember there was kind of like a, you know, six months or so or a year where he was really asking a lot of chipping questions.

Speaker 11 And then we, I happened to be talking about it with my caddy Rev a couple months ago

Speaker 11 about using different clubs.

Speaker 11 And he was like, yeah, he's like, I don't know if you remember, but you know, at some team event or some event, he's like, Pat was just grilling you about questions about using this.

Speaker 11 Like, it was me, him, and Jordan, I think, were playing. And he was asking Jordan and I so many questions.

Speaker 11 So, again, something we that we just apparently we like to make all of our peers better instead of keep all of the information to ourselves, it seems like. But

Speaker 11 it's kind of

Speaker 11 whatever fits the player.

Speaker 11 I mean, a lot of guys predominantly just take a lob wedge and try to fly it close to the hole with as much spin as they can, but it changes a lot each week depending on the grass. But I like to use

Speaker 11 kind of whatever club is more of like a first instinct. I think I...

Speaker 11 Generally, the harder I try to make it, the worse off it is, versus if I just go with what I first see type thing.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 9 Yeah, I thought you had one of the best shots of the last month or two.

Speaker 9 I don't know which day this was, maybe Thursday or Friday, the one that you played out of the mud, where the ball was sitting up towards the top.

Speaker 9 Because I think every golfer has been in that situation. They see their ball, they're like, I can play this.

Speaker 9 So you take a giant swing at it, and immediately afterwards, you can see the look on your face. You're just like, well, that was fucking stupid because you're like covered in mud at the time.

Speaker 9 Is that a shot that you practice?

Speaker 11 It's actually really funny you say that because

Speaker 11 it was something where, I mean, mean, normally

Speaker 11 it's not, it wouldn't be worth it. It just was where

Speaker 11 I was going to have to drop.

Speaker 11 I was getting zero advantage. Like I was still behind a bunch of trees and

Speaker 11 I was likely going to have to chip out. And I was like, well, I know that if I catch this how I want, I can actually get it to the fairway and have a chance to maybe make a par.

Speaker 11 And in the worst case, it'll just dribble out. which is going to be a little a little bit better, but pretty similar to where if I just drop.
So I feel like it's worth the risk.

Speaker 11 And as I'm kind of going through it, I said to Joe, who was filling in for Rev, I was like, hey, I was like, you just kind of like hit like a bunker shot, right? And he's like, yeah. And I hit that.

Speaker 11 And obviously, you got shit all over me. And the whole goes on.
And I'm walking up there. I was like, by the way, I've never hit one out of the water before.
So I did not know.

Speaker 11 He's like, I thought that was kind of weird why you asked me that.

Speaker 11 I'm like, well, I felt like if I told you beforehand that I hadn't hit one out of the water, you weren't going to let me hit it out of the water. So I waited until afterwards to tell you.

Speaker 9 I mean, the ball was taunting you, though, it was in the perfect position for you to at least give it a shot.

Speaker 11 I know, and I think I just was so worried about trying to lift it up in the air and kind of almost like topping it or hitting it into the water, like down into it, that I was like, I just have to stay down and I have to hit down on this thing like I'm taking a big divot.

Speaker 11 Yeah, and I just went, I overdid it so much that I went completely under it. Yeah, and it was just, yeah, water and dirt everywhere.

Speaker 1 It was very relatable. So your current caddy, Joe, who is Max's caddy,

Speaker 1 he's doing caddying while your real caddy is injured. Is he coming back soon?

Speaker 11 Yeah, yeah, I actually saw him today.

Speaker 11 He's doing a lot better. He probably could have caddied

Speaker 11 last week, but it wouldn't have been smart.

Speaker 11 But I have a tournament, yeah, in two weeks, and Rev will be back. He just, he's has some disc issues in his back.
So

Speaker 11 Joe was fortunate. I was fortunate.
He was able to come fill in and we had a nice, nice little week last week.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean, so we're very loyal to Max. He said it was good with him and Joe, so we're, we, we weren't mad at you or Joe, but we, there was a moment where our guns out.
We're like, do we need to?

Speaker 1 Do we need to?

Speaker 11 Hey, I reached out to Max first. I wanted to do the right thing, you know?

Speaker 1 Respect. Yeah, bro, I like that.
Yeah. Well, although I don't know what I would have done if he said it's not okay.

Speaker 9 You at least have to ask. I think in full transparency, I think me and Big Cat said we wish the best for you, but we didn't want you to win the Masters

Speaker 9 in the first week after Joe left. That would have seemed mean for Max, but now there's some time there.

Speaker 1 He waited. Yeah.

Speaker 11 That's fair.

Speaker 11 I'm fine with that. I'm fine with how it all panned out.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 9 Do you think that your regular caddy, like deep, deep, deep, deep, deep down inside, saw you win, and he was like, fuck.

Speaker 1 Oh, for sure.

Speaker 11 I mean,

Speaker 11 yeah, I tried to tell him as many times as I possibly could, but yeah, while he's, I mean, I assume he is rooting for me and watching it, there's got to be a small part of him that's

Speaker 1 that's like, oh, shit, now what's going to happen?

Speaker 11 And I thought about kind of stringing him along and just messing with him, but I'm like, this poor guy's hurt. I can't do that to him.

Speaker 1 That's not, that's not fair. Right.
Yeah.

Speaker 9 And almost the more you say to him, it's good that you guys acknowledge it, that you joked around about it. But if you're like, no, listen, this guy means nothing to me.
He's just a fling.

Speaker 9 He's still at home, like, no, he's carrying the bags a little bit higher than I do.

Speaker 1 Did you tip tip him out? Did you tip out Rev?

Speaker 11 What's that? Tip him for when?

Speaker 1 Yeah, did you tip him even though he wasn't on the bag?

Speaker 11 I have not. No, I just paid Joe.

Speaker 1 Yeah, but

Speaker 1 maybe you got to tip out Rev being like, hey, I wouldn't have been in this spot just so that he doesn't get...

Speaker 1 I mean, you got caddies you got to deal with here. This is a very tricky situation for you.
Yeah. Just a little something.
Yeah, man. It's just what the beat.

Speaker 9 A couple hundred grand.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you're good for that.

Speaker 11 You know, this wasn't an issue probably until you guys brought it up.

Speaker 9 I was like, you know what? You dick.

Speaker 1 Here's what we could do. We can delete this part and you can tip us out.
Okay?

Speaker 1 So we can extort you. We can extort you right now.
We can make sure this goes bye-bye, never goes on the podcast. You tip us out and we're good to go.

Speaker 11 I mean,

Speaker 1 I don't see what could go wrong in that

Speaker 1 we just every two months, we're like, hey, JT, we still got that footage. We don't need to pay some more.

Speaker 1 We just have you on the.

Speaker 11 We didn't get that last one.

Speaker 1 Maybe. Yeah.

Speaker 1 That'd be incredible if like your career takes like a like a weird turn. Everyone's like, what happened to JT? It's like, well, he went on part of my take and they tried to extort him for tipping.

Speaker 1 It's been weighing on his mind.

Speaker 9 These are a speech moment for you. Yeah.

Speaker 9 When you were caddy for Jordan, would he tip you out?

Speaker 1 For what do you mean?

Speaker 9 Did you caddy for Michael Jordan?

Speaker 11 Oh, yeah, yeah. Sorry.
I was thinking speed. I was like, I don't think I catty for him.
Yeah, oh, yeah, he he did when I uh, yeah, back in the day for sure.

Speaker 10 Yeah, good tipper.

Speaker 11 He helped pay for my first car, so that would, that was huge.

Speaker 1 That's pretty good. That's that's the Nick Sabin way.

Speaker 1 That's exactly right.

Speaker 11 I didn't even have to get gifted one when I went to college.

Speaker 1 I already had it. Yeah.

Speaker 1 You have nine professional course records at different courses. Which one is your favorite? That's pretty sick, by the way, just

Speaker 1 saying it out loud. Nine different courses, you have the course record.
Do you have a specific one that is your favorite? And can you name all nine?

Speaker 11 I mean, I after

Speaker 11 seeing it, or after I really didn't know until it kind of started going out last week.

Speaker 11 But what is last week?

Speaker 11 TBC Sawgrass, TBC Stadium Course in Palm Springs,

Speaker 11 Koalum Pere,

Speaker 11 Kapalua, Wingfoot, Aaron Hills,

Speaker 11 Medina,

Speaker 11 and

Speaker 1 Wallai. Yep, you got it.
So, which one's your favorite?

Speaker 11 I mean, the

Speaker 11 63 in the U.S. Open was pretty cool.

Speaker 1 Okay, wrong answer. That's a good one.
The next one. Wrong answer.
Well, the 59 is really fucking cool. Yeah, it is.

Speaker 11 Well, fortunately for me, I had nine pretty cool ones, so I could choose

Speaker 9 some different ones. That's a good list.
Yeah, how many holes in one do you have?

Speaker 11 25. That's

Speaker 1 seriously?

Speaker 1 yeah. Is that normal for a professional golfer to have 25?

Speaker 11 Probably not.

Speaker 11 I'm not sure.

Speaker 4 I feel like you either hear like it's like 30 or like there's somewhere it's like I have two. Yeah, right.

Speaker 11 Yeah, I'd say that's that's a good way to describe it.

Speaker 9 Do you even get excited when you hit a hole in one? Like 25.

Speaker 9 Yeah.

Speaker 1 25. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 That would be an old hat for me.

Speaker 9 I'd be like, oh, I guess I got another hole in one again. I got to buy everybody drinks.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Let me have one of those. 25.
That's an insane number. How many, how many while playing, like professionally?

Speaker 1 It's like

Speaker 1 four or five? Four or five? Okay, so a lot of those are like, are when you're playing privately.

Speaker 11 Beforehand, yeah.

Speaker 1 Well, not in, yeah, not in professional tournaments.

Speaker 9 Yeah, do you have, do you have a favorite holding one?

Speaker 11 Sunday of

Speaker 11 the Masters, the Your Tiger one, I made one.

Speaker 1 That's pretty sad. That is pretty cool.
That's actually what I think most people remember about that someday. Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1 That's actually the first.

Speaker 11 It's always like, wow, Tiger, he won the Masters.

Speaker 1 Like, is that just made the hole in one, right? Yeah, when people are like, hey, yeah, Tiger, he won the Masters. Like, well, he won it a bunch of times.
Are you talking about the time he won it when?

Speaker 1 JT got that hole in one? That's how we got to.

Speaker 1 There we go. That's going to cost you more money for us to get that narrative going.

Speaker 1 We'll give you our wire information after this.

Speaker 1 JT, though, thank you so much, man. We appreciate having you on.
Best of luck the rest of the year.

Speaker 1 Hopefully, see you at the Ryder Cup. We got to win the Ryder Cup.
It's a must-win. It's a must-win.
Absolutely. Okay.
All right. I feel absolutely.

Speaker 11 Thank you guys, and please don't try to extort me for too much. That's so

Speaker 1 polite.

Speaker 1 Um, okay. Hank from behind the tree.
That's a fast-growing tree right there.

Speaker 1 Firefest.

Speaker 4 Yeah, all-time Firefest.

Speaker 1 Oh, all-time. I love this.
This is when we roll up the sleeves. Let's get it going.

Speaker 4 I've been rattled all week. It's just,

Speaker 4 I'm a bad, bad person. Yep.
Bad son.

Speaker 1 My dad.

Speaker 4 Oh, greatest dad in the world.

Speaker 4 Big listener of the show. Big supporter.
Supported everything over the years.

Speaker 4 Driving into work Sunday. Oh, no, you missed his birthday.
And I saw, you know, I saw, like, I think I saw Billy String's set list from the night before. I was like, oh, go listen to it.

Speaker 4 There's an app where you can listen to the shows from the night before. I open it up.
I see the date of the show, April 19th.

Speaker 4 And it hit me that I didn't, I realized I forgot his birthday.

Speaker 9 When's his birthday? April 19th.

Speaker 1 So I saw it April 20th.

Speaker 4 Like I was going to pull it up, the show, and it was like, Billy Strings, April 19th. And I was like, yesterday was April 19th.

Speaker 9 And you didn't even root for Duke this year either. Yeah.
Matt's on.

Speaker 9 So

Speaker 1 you sent him a text. I called.
You called, and what was his reaction?

Speaker 4 He was, he's laughed. Honestly, the, it's happened before, too, which is bad, but

Speaker 4 it was just, it was tough. He was giving me, you know, give me shit for it.

Speaker 4 Now, rightfully so, but it was, it, I, I, I felt really bad. I felt really bad.

Speaker 1 Not to make excuses, Hank, not to make excuses, but I think that in this situation, you should maybe not think about like, hey, what did I do wrong?

Speaker 1 And maybe blame the other people in your life because you have siblings. Yep.
How do they not give you a heads up? You need the heads.

Speaker 1 Like, I've been close to missing it before, but I've always gotten the heads up.

Speaker 4 I know, I know. That's where I kind of did that double check.
I was like, did I miss? You know, because we have a family group text and stuff. I was like, did other people say anything in that?

Speaker 1 Oh, that's actually even dirtier. So they were doing the side text.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I didn't even, I did, I honestly haven't even reached out to find out because my family group text would just be like everyone else, and then I'll just, I'll be like the sixth birthday.

Speaker 1 Happy birthday.

Speaker 4 Still no excuse, but yeah.

Speaker 4 There wasn't any assistance there. Oh, no.

Speaker 9 So what are you going to do to make it up to him?

Speaker 4 He loves Roeback.

Speaker 4 I got a fantastic, no spoilers, but might have a fantastic Robek care package. But it doesn't, you can't really,

Speaker 4 it's tough to make up. I just want to be better.

Speaker 9 Did you buy the RoBack?

Speaker 1 Are you just getting? You just looked at it. You have it in the checkout?

Speaker 9 Or just getting free ROBAC sent to him?

Speaker 4 Well, I hit Roback great partners.

Speaker 1 Dads do love Roback. They do.
My dad loves Roback. I'm wearing a Red.

Speaker 4 He loves Roback. And I hit them up.
I was like, is there a code I should use other than promo code take? And they're like, we'll help you out. Let's know what you want.

Speaker 9 That was a good move on your part.

Speaker 1 Hey, I'm at the checkout.

Speaker 9 I'm wondering if I should use the promo code or if there's a special special promo code.

Speaker 4 I mean, we love Roeback. They're great partners.
And my dad's like, maybe, you know,

Speaker 4 my niece and nephew, and then Roeback.

Speaker 9 Well, that's the good news.

Speaker 9 Right now,

Speaker 9 he's fully into grandfather life, probably, right? Like, he loves being a grandfather.

Speaker 9 The son that he has without a child, he's like, yeah, of course. Of course, he didn't wish me happy birthday.

Speaker 4 Yeah, it's tough.

Speaker 1 Do you think you're in his will?

Speaker 1 Yeah, I think so. I'm just asking because that's definitely something like

Speaker 1 I get older, as I get older in life,

Speaker 1 I will definitely be one of those people who will be like a little tally sheet of like

Speaker 1 which case

Speaker 4 cut it out. I don't know if it's an even split.
And that could be going down by the day.

Speaker 9 Yeah. Urinus won't now.

Speaker 1 Brutal.

Speaker 4 It's really bad. Really, really bad.
It's one of those things where it's just you every day.

Speaker 4 When you know you can't make it up.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you have to wait 365 days. It's just like, fuck.

Speaker 1 Set yourself a calendar, man. I did.
I did. Because it will be on a Sunday.

Speaker 9 Man. I think you have to take on the responsibility next year, too, of

Speaker 9 letting all your siblings know: hey, just a reminder, tomorrow's dad's birthday.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 I got an idea to make it up to him. What? Maybe Masters next year.

Speaker 1 Right around his birthday. Oh.

Speaker 1 Maybe Taco Bell next year. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 You're in the doghouse. Yeah.
Yeah, that is the worst missing a birthday because you're just like, well,

Speaker 1 I got nothing here. Yeah.

Speaker 9 The only explanation is like, sorry, wasn't really thinking about you.

Speaker 1 I missed one day.

Speaker 4 It's really just, I just don't look like the calendar when it's a Saturday. Like, I just,

Speaker 4 I wasn't like, what day is it today? What's the, but I should have been aware of it earlier in the week is probably where I went wrong.

Speaker 4 But I just, you know, looked, and I wouldn't have even seen it Sunday. Like, I don't know.
I don't, I don't.

Speaker 1 Because it's not even like. Because I missed a birthday last week, but it was a cousin.
Like, that's not. Yeah.
That's not mandatory. No.

Speaker 1 Like, I feel like cousins are like, you know, you either get it or you don't, but But who cares?

Speaker 1 Yeah, right. It's like, all right, we're good.
But it's immediate family. You got to get the birthday.
You got to get it right.

Speaker 1 I did do that one year, I think, on my mom's birthday. I called and my mom picked up, and I was like, hey, is dad there? And I was like, and then he picked, and then he got on the phone.

Speaker 1 He's like, it's your mom's birthday. I was like, yeah, yeah, no, I was joking.
Can you put mom back on?

Speaker 1 So it happens. Yeah.

Speaker 9 Man. Sorry, hey.
It's all right. Brutal.
My Fire Fest of the Week is: I played in my first softball game last night. Nice.

Speaker 1 Oh, good.

Speaker 9 We lost, unfortunately. Ah, shit.
Decent showing. Decent showing from the guys.
We got one bad inning, and that'll take it out of you.

Speaker 1 What position?

Speaker 9 I played right field, and it kind of sucked because there's no lights out at night.

Speaker 1 No, it's very hard to see on that field.

Speaker 9 You don't really see anything. Didn't make an error, though, so I'm pumped about that.

Speaker 9 But then the last inning of the game, I was batting leadoff in that inning. Get a little base knock to first base, no big deal.

Speaker 9 And then I tried to leg it out from first base to third on a single from the next guy up.

Speaker 1 You have to run out of third?

Speaker 9 No, no, I'm too fast for that. But as I'm running to third base, I pull a hamstring on like my second to last step.

Speaker 1 It was a muddy field.

Speaker 9 It was a bad, it was a bad field. And like, you know, the feeling.
Have you ever pulled a hamstring before? Yes. You immediately, you know exactly what it is.
Yeah.

Speaker 9 And so, but since I was only like two steps away from third base at the time, I get to third. I'm like, well, I just pulled my hamstring.

Speaker 9 But I guess I have to stay on base and try to run home. The very next ball that was hit was like a a short, short fly ball to like the like deep shortstop.
Yeah, so you couldn't run.

Speaker 9 And I tried to tag, and I took one step, and I was just like, nope, it's not happening. So

Speaker 9 this is a stark reminder. I'm 40.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 So are you out for a while?

Speaker 9 I don't know. We'll see.
I iced it down last night. That's brutal.
But yeah, it's brutal. First game back.

Speaker 1 That field was a dangerous field last night.

Speaker 9 It was. Injury concerns.
Maybe you guys were right not having me on the team. It's like this guy is a...
If he put it all together and stayed healthy, he'd be a force.

Speaker 9 best that never was best that never was but we'll see a lot of you going getting treatment on myself but uh the the squad was awesome last night

Speaker 9 you're hockey tough you're you'll be good i'll be fine lower body injury yeah i'm so short my entire body is lower body injury but i my squad is fun like the guys uh kadick had an all-time performance last night told me about this yeah so uh he was a little bit late getting to the game because he was at the cubs game last night and for listeners this is kadick mike kadick was uh he played center at indiana yeah center for indiana he's a big boy.

Speaker 1 Big boy, and he took a pic, like maybe an hour before their game, because we played two hours before you, so we weren't on the same, we left before you got there, but I saw, I got back in my car an hour before the game, Kadick posted a picture from Wrigley with two beers in his hands and a hot dog.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I was like, that's interesting.

Speaker 9 That's a solid, listen, if you're his age and you just graduate from college,

Speaker 9 that's what you live for, is those nights when you go to a baseball game, get a little drunk, then go to a softball game. So he tries to make it all the way over from Wrigley before the game.

Speaker 9 Halfway there, he realizes I have to shit, and he runs into a hotel on the way to take a shit, realizes that he shit his pants a little bit.

Speaker 9 So he had shit pants, and he also tore like Ezekiel Elliott style, tore the bottom off his shirt, let the belly hang out a little bit, and just decks the first runner of the game who's trying to score.

Speaker 9 Just like runs into him and knocks him the fuck out.

Speaker 9 So that was fun getting to play with those guys.

Speaker 4 That's a football player playing softball. That sounds exactly like

Speaker 4 an offensive lineman drunk playing softball. Yeah.

Speaker 1 And then

Speaker 9 at the end of the night, we played the night game, which started at 9.30. And so when I was leaving my house at like 8.45, I was thinking about going to sleep.

Speaker 1 Oh, yeah, dude. I used to play in a league where the late game was 10.30, and it was just like, it was the worst feeling ever at 10 p.m.
being like, Time to go play softball. Exactly.

Speaker 9 Yeah, like I would much rather be getting ready for bed than leaving my house to go to a softball game. But it was fun.

Speaker 9 And then I leave afterwards, and uh all the other guys are like yeah we're going out to a bar if you want to come along i'm like i can't go out to a bar and drink alcohol it's a wednesday night and you have a hamstring injury i have a hamstring injury i got to get home and ice it down uh so yeah i'm on i'm on like the three-day dl okay i think that's not bad yeah we'll see how i stand after this weekend yeah yeah that feels good you can rest it up this weekend

Speaker 1 maybe

Speaker 9 i had i'm gonna be doing a lot of walking on friday i'm going to montreal you're going to do him with a purple leg i'm going to be with oldie oldie's going to be taking me around Montreal.

Speaker 9 I'm sure he'll want to just chill out and sit still in one place. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah. By the way, I don't know if we mentioned, I think I mentioned on the yak, but Oldie, we've hired Oldie at Barstool Sports.
He's not going to be moving here from Canada, but he'll be here.

Speaker 1 I don't know. We'll have him for some hockey streams.

Speaker 9 I think we talked about that like a week ago.

Speaker 1 Oh, I did say it on the show. I don't think I said it on the show.
During the Whitney interview. Oh, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 That was right before. We officially did hire him this week.

Speaker 1 We had not hired him yet, but we have officially hired him. That was before we had officially.

Speaker 9 I'm pumped.

Speaker 9 I'm so excited to go through Montreal with Oldie. Oh, that's me.
Montreal, I've heard, is a very fun city. And then having Oldie show me around.
I don't know if he speaks French.

Speaker 9 I think we're going to try. But he put out a video this morning where he's like getting into a cold tub.
He's got the side pouch on the spice.

Speaker 9 He is Oldie.

Speaker 9 He's like doing a drug. Hanging out with Oldie is like being on drugs.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 I'm pumped. Yeah.
All right. My Firefest, I get a couple.
One was we do our Pittsburgh Pittsburgh radio hit every other week. PFT and I alternate.
Great guys, Bill and Randy.

Speaker 1 This morning I was very tired and I joined on the radio and they played sound from two weeks ago when I was on

Speaker 1 and I didn't realize that it was from two weeks ago and I was just responding to questions and then I heard my own voice and so I was just talking to myself in the car and I was like, this is really embarrassing.

Speaker 9 So you heard the interview where it was the two of them and then you. Yeah.

Speaker 1 But before I could answer, I started answering again. Yeah.
A conversation I had already had. Right.

Speaker 9 Were you getting into an argument with yourself?

Speaker 1 I was just, I, my answer.

Speaker 1 It was pretty similar. That's good.
They're like, do you want jinty? And then a week ago you were like, no. And now you're like, yeah.
No, it was

Speaker 1 something about the pirates like screwing up. They were selling like the bricks in front.
Yeah. And I was like, oh, that's a Cubs move.
And then I, so I said that two weeks ago.

Speaker 1 And then as I was driving on the call, I started saying, oh, that's a Cubs move. And then it was like an echo.
And it was my voice saying, oh, that's a Cubs move. I was like, Jesus Christ, dude.

Speaker 9 There are times when I get into the car and I'm leaving work. I think it's on Wednesday.
That's when you do your ESPN hit in Chicago. On Wednesday, sometimes I'll be wrapping up macro dosing.

Speaker 9 And then I'll get into the car at like three or three, whenever you do the hit.

Speaker 9 I'll hop in. And then the first thing I hear is Big Cat being interviewed on the radio.
And I feel like I'm still at work. Yeah.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 It's a weird feeling.

Speaker 1 And then my other Fire is, I don't know if there's a fire fest, you guys can tell me. I think, you know, we do a really good job with our interviews here.
We make guests feel comfortable.

Speaker 1 Sometimes maybe we feel too comfortable with the guests. I didn't even think about it until Wednesday's show went live.
And then I got a bunch of tweets.

Speaker 1 And they're like, hey, dude, you called an NFL head coach a pussy. And I was like, oh, oh, yeah, I guess I did.

Speaker 1 That was weird.

Speaker 1 I don't think I've ever done that.

Speaker 9 Did you call him a pussy? I did.

Speaker 1 I said, stop being a pussy when we were talking about the tush push. I'm talking about Matt LaFleur, who is a very good guy, and we appreciate him coming on.

Speaker 1 But that was like one of those ones where I probably shouldn't have done that.

Speaker 4 I think the Packers thing helps out a little bit. Yeah, but still.

Speaker 1 They call it the Bears Packers.

Speaker 1 I saw the clip.

Speaker 9 I didn't think that you called him a pussy. Were we talking about the Packers in general being a pussy?

Speaker 1 No, we were saying the tush push.

Speaker 9 Right, but I think he was like, the Packers are pussies.

Speaker 1 No, he was like, I don't want to give my my real opinion. I said something like, oh, don't be a pussy.

Speaker 1 Either way, probably got to clean that up.

Speaker 9 I did notice that when the word pussy exited your mouth, he like blinked.

Speaker 1 Yeah. He's like, I don't think he was.
I don't think, and I texted him and we've met him a couple times. He's a great guy.
I don't know if we're at pussy level yet.

Speaker 9 Yeah, if you're a head coach, but think about it. If you're a head coach in the NFL,

Speaker 9 it's probably been years since someone's called you a pussy. True.
True.

Speaker 1 Yeah, actually, if you think about it, it might, like, what if this is the undermining of the entire Packers organization? Right. Like, I called him a pussy.
It was like, you can talk like that? Yeah.

Speaker 1 And then it's just chaos.

Speaker 9 Or what if it just adds more fuel to the rivalry? Like Ben Johnson

Speaker 9 basically called him a pussy.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 9 And then he called him a pussy.

Speaker 1 Either way, I'm going to say hand up on that one. I probably should just be a little

Speaker 1 more aware of that.

Speaker 1 You know.

Speaker 9 Would you say that to Dan Campbell?

Speaker 1 Absolutely not.

Speaker 9 Because Dan Campbell is not a pussy.

Speaker 1 There you go. Yeah, it's true.
He just called Matt LaFleur pussy again.

Speaker 9 Again, yeah, yeah, huh?

Speaker 1 No, I don't think he's a pussy. He might have had pussy behavior when he didn't answer the tush-push question.
Well,

Speaker 9 reading between the lines on his answer, I feel like maybe

Speaker 9 the people in the front office

Speaker 9 are doing it without consulting Matt LaFleur about it. And he's probably like, I wish the Packers weren't the face of asking

Speaker 9 his play to be banned.

Speaker 1 Okay, so that's a good conclusion for Pussygates. So, you know what? Strip Matt LaFleur of the pussy title.
Erroneous. Okay.
Disavow of myself. Max, you got a Fire Fest?

Speaker 1 I had a pretty clean week. I was pretty good.
Yeah?

Speaker 2 No, I had a bad week. Getting the stomach bug is by far the worst thing that can possibly happen to a human, I think.
Cancer?

Speaker 2 I feel like stomach bugs got to be up there.

Speaker 2 Just kidding, just kidding, just kidding.

Speaker 2 No, you feel like you're dying, though. It's terrible.

Speaker 2 My ribs hurt from puking so hard.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 2 So, like, every time I laugh or cough right now, I'm still getting that feeling in my side.

Speaker 9 And you laugh and cough a lot, even when you're healthy.

Speaker 2 I laugh a lot. Yeah.

Speaker 2 I don't necessarily cough a lot, but I do laugh a lot.

Speaker 11 So yeah, it was a tough week.

Speaker 2 I pooped my pants at one point.

Speaker 1 Oh, no.

Speaker 1 Doesn't count if it's sick.

Speaker 2 Yeah, doesn't count.

Speaker 1 Does not count.

Speaker 2 Yeah, no, it was bad. I was in bed, too, so that was tough.

Speaker 9 Did you ever have the moment where you were pooping and puking at the same time?

Speaker 2 No, I didn't have that. That's the worst.

Speaker 9 Yeah, going number three.

Speaker 2 Yeah, no, I didn't. But I did have the plastic bags next to the toilet

Speaker 2 in case that situation happened.

Speaker 1 You think that's a hungover thing, Hank?

Speaker 1 It can be. Yeah.
I've never done that while hungry. That's a great thing.
That's an unbelievable thing.

Speaker 4 I've done it once or twice, and it's

Speaker 1 a big one. I've got an accident.
No, yeah,

Speaker 9 I think it's crazy because you know when you're about to puke and you simply don't start pooping then. No, this, yeah, this is a one-to-one thing.

Speaker 1 No, it's the other way.

Speaker 4 I think it's happened twice, and it's like,

Speaker 1 And then I have to puke. Yeah.
That's happened hungover before.

Speaker 1 Where you're like, holy shit, I think I have to puke.

Speaker 9 What's your move? Do you because

Speaker 1 you got to flush really quick, and then just, yeah, it's terrible. It's been through the terrible food policy.

Speaker 9 And I just lean over the tub. Yeah.

Speaker 4 No, that was like when that happened to me one time, and I still remember it. When I lived in Massachusetts, it was

Speaker 2 one time when I was a kid, I was peeing,

Speaker 2 and I had a stomach bug, and I like sneezed or something. And as I was peeing, like, shit came out of my ass.

Speaker 1 Well, this is disgusting.

Speaker 1 I mean, we opened this can of words. Yeah, I know, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 It is what it is. Yeah, come on.
I opened this can of words. I don't know how I said.
How much weight did you lose?

Speaker 2 I don't know.

Speaker 2 I don't necessarily believe in scales. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Okay. Yeah.

Speaker 1 I don't have any buffalo. File that under something we already knew.
Yep.

Speaker 2 I feel skinnier. Yeah,

Speaker 1 that is the benefit of getting a stomach bug is you feel so skinny, but then what happens is you get your appetite back after like you do the you do the test meal and then you're like, all right, I'm good.

Speaker 1 And then you do the real meal and you just get so fatty.

Speaker 2 I'm still not at the real meal yet.

Speaker 2 I'm still getting.

Speaker 1 I saw you hitting some soup today. Yeah.
It's a good, yeah.

Speaker 2 Yeah, easy way back.

Speaker 2 I had a noodle, I had a noodle soup.

Speaker 2 Not even, yeah, from like a Jewish deli here.

Speaker 9 Is there a, I'm not going to say what kind of deli it was. It was a Jewish deli.

Speaker 1 It was Manny's.

Speaker 1 Yeah,

Speaker 1 this is great.

Speaker 9 Is there like a meal that you had right before you got sick that now you associate with being sick? Because that happened to me one time when I was younger.

Speaker 9 And I ate honey mustard pretzels right before I got sick, and then I didn't fucking touch a honey mustard pretzel for probably 20 years. Yeah,

Speaker 1 that ruined Emmy Squared for me. The really good pizza place in Brooklyn.
Yeah. Yeah, it just killed me for it.
Like, I couldn't, I loved that place, and I got sick right after.

Speaker 1 Not because of them, but it just ended it yeah i'd stuffed peppers right before it i don't think i'm having stuffed peppers anytime soon it's like everyone's got that one liquor that they like mine's gin i drank too much gin when i was like 16 years old puked everywhere and i have not i don't drink gin

Speaker 9 mine was rumple mints but then you get back on the horse yeah

Speaker 2 i was that way with chipotle i got sick after eating chipotle one time and it took me like years to start eating again now that's fine uh blake's got diarrhea too oh no bonus firefest have you considered wearing a cone no i should wear a cone.

Speaker 2 Wait, I don't.

Speaker 1 Yep.

Speaker 2 I should just wear it.

Speaker 9 You should wear a cone. You should wear a cone.
Not an ice cream cone, but regular cone. You should wear a cone.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Oh, I want some ice cream right now.

Speaker 9 Yeah, that sounds good.

Speaker 1 Not me. It's getting warm out.
It's time for ice cream cones. Gonna get back on my shit.
We're gonna get it. We're gonna get a soft serve machine in this office.

Speaker 9 And a Gravatron.

Speaker 4 And a Gravatron.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 Good show, boys.

Speaker 1 Numbers three.

Speaker 1 I think I

Speaker 1 think that was me.

Speaker 1 Yeah, 17.

Speaker 1 77

Speaker 9 195

Speaker 1 99. Pug means you think you're gonna get it today.
That would be so cool. I don't think so, dude.

Speaker 9 If I get it, whoever the jet shaft is gonna be helping.

Speaker 1 What was your pick wiper?

Speaker 1 54

Speaker 1 89

Speaker 1 89

Speaker 9 Love Grass, bro.
