Speaker 1 Okay, let's go.

Speaker 1 Welcome to part of my take, presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours.
Today is Monday, October 27th, week 8.

Speaker 1 What?

Speaker 1 Whoop!

Speaker 1 Some spread. What?

Speaker 1 Got him.

Speaker 1 Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick. Hey, go, go.
All the me.

Speaker 1 We start in Baltimore where the Red Hot Bears meet up with the desperate Ravens. Caleb William hung almost 300 yards and Randy Andre Swift Jackson went off.

Speaker 1 But it was the Ravens' defense that said, that's a no for me, dog, as they tightened up after the first quarter. Tyler Snoop, there it is.

Speaker 1 Huntley tag teamed with Derek Clapton Henry, having John Harbaugh tell his offense, they look wonderful tonight after a bounce back game.

Speaker 1 Roquan Kenny, the Jet Smith, made the Bears players look like the video board as he raced them all afternoon, amassing a cheaper by-the-dozen tackles, making the Bears look like a high school football team coached by Steve Martin.

Speaker 1 Ravens 30, Bears 16. What?

Speaker 1 We go down to H-Town, where Woody Marks Wahlberg might be the new kid on the block, but he's going to have a hate crime section on his Wikipedia after what he did to that Niners defense.

Speaker 1 Save your drama for your mama, Williams, and talk to my hands. Hauling in a touchdown.
The 49ers responded as George Kittler on the roof. Made the Texans defense look like a bitch man.

Speaker 1 I'd have all the money in the world if I were a healthy man.

Speaker 1 Meanwhile, as Halloween comes around, the 49ers backup QB is turning back into a Maca Lantern, leaving the ball early to go pick-or-treating as D'Amico Ryan Reynolds has a Texans looking lively.

Speaker 1 Houston 26, San Francisco, 15.

Speaker 1 We head over to Foxborough where Hank was on the scene. In New England, Drake.

Speaker 3 Maybe the greatest quarterback of all time. Started off slow because Miles Garrett Popcorn was slipping through the patso line like he was covered in butter.
Getting sack after sack.

Speaker 3 Harold Finetto looked like he was in a fucking coupe finna pull up to the zoo as he zoomed into the end zone to give the Browns an early lead.

Speaker 3 Speaking of sack, Hunter Biden Henry was cracked out after getting into the end zone and Stefan Dirk Diggsler said, I want to fuck. It's my fucking big dick.
Who wants to fuck?

Speaker 1 After scoring his first touchdown of the season, David Nagoku said, Kameh, ha, me.

Speaker 3 Ah, not going to be enough. After scoring in the fourth, Patsco marching, 31-13.

Speaker 1 Thanks, Hank. Over to memes in Cincinnati.

Speaker 1 In Cincinnati, the Jets and Bengals honored Nick, man in the yellow hat, by putting on a case race to 39.

Speaker 1 Hey, hey, Bengals, I want a joke.

Speaker 1 Will you throw me a TD?

Speaker 1 As he found boom boom boom boom T Grizzly Higgins, who hit the roly store with the roly on by beating the corner for a 44 yard touchdown. Chase Brown Bear Brown Bear, what do you see?

Speaker 1 I see two touchdowns staring at me.

Speaker 1 Justin Crimea River Fields was told he was needed after being left on the sideline for some other guy last week as he found Tyler the Crater Johnson, who had trouble on his mind being the only receiver left on the roster.

Speaker 1 Mason Ramsey Taylor lassoed in the game-winning catch from Brees's Pieces Hall.

Speaker 1 As for the Bengals head coach, Zach James Taylor is singing, Oh Mexico. Sounds so simple, I just gotta go.
Now is my coaching career is probably over now.

Speaker 1 Jets 39, Bagels 38. Thanks, memes.

Speaker 1 Down to Carolina where the Panthers were moving in quo motion. Zoron Mamandy Dalton giving the ball away for free today.
And in his old age, the game seems way too taxing for him.

Speaker 1 With that, it was the Buffalo Bill Clintons who love their little St. James Cook who logged two visits to the end zone.
And with the help from Ed Annie Holliver and Josh Woody Allen, they said,

Speaker 1 Soon ye will believe we are Super Bowl contenders.

Speaker 1 The Bills capped off the win with a long touchdown from Khalil Shakira, sending a message to the Chiefs: Whenever, wherever, we're meant to be together, specifically next week in Buffalo for a huge AFC matchup.

Speaker 1 Bills 40, Panthers 9. We go to Atlanta as Miami look good.

Speaker 1 And a touching tribute to Heat Guard and neighbor Terry Roger. I have to give them their props.
The Miami doll-ins are playing with house money.

Speaker 1 Tuo looked little blind, wearing a visor to keep him from getting pokered in his FBI. And it might have been giving him x-ray vision because he was attacking all the correct hands.

Speaker 1 He got bailed out by his receivers and at times looked like he was going to to go to jail and waddle. Felipe Franks had a seat at the poker table for Atlanta, double drawing penalties.

Speaker 1 I guess he thought he was playing hold'em. This is a much needed win for Tiger Violar, and that was a crazy game of poker.
Dolphins 34. Falcons 10.
Down to the big easy where Zach was there.

Speaker 1 In Louisiana, Spencer gives shop rattler, throws him all of America-size pick to Anthony Soprano Nelson, who buried the ball deep in the end zone, overlooking a little river with pine cones all around.

Speaker 1 Blake groupy love wasn't in the bar playing guitar. He was in the dome, kicking towards the end zone, splitting the uprights from 48 yards out.
Somebody call 911.

Speaker 1 Shaw Kingston Tucker's fire burning on the goal line. Whoa.

Speaker 1 With a touchdown from one yard out. As for chasing my way,

Speaker 1 a sweet escape. McLaughlin, he's leaving New Orleans with both pockets full of sunshine.
As a leasing scorer on the day with 11 points. Tampa 23, New Orleans 3.
Thanks, Zach.

Speaker 7 Standing on a corner, Jameis Winston down in Delco. Such a fine sight to see.

Speaker 7 It's Jalen Hurts, my load, scoring touchdowns for and AJ May want to be free.

Speaker 1 There goes Say Kwan.

Speaker 7 Another sack for Zach

Speaker 1 Bond.

Speaker 7 The birds are six and two.

Speaker 7 Let's go come

Speaker 1 on.

Speaker 1 Eagles 38. Giants 20.
Was that a come on there? Yeah, come on. Come on.
Come on.

Speaker 1 Come on. All right.
And that was week eight, fastest two minutes brought to you by our friends at Chevy. Football season is here.

Speaker 1 Whether you're grinding through the week or gearing up for kickoff, there's one ride that's always game ready. The Chevy Silverado.

Speaker 1 The Chevy Silverado is a longtime partner, pardon my take, and our favorite truck. and it's all about crit.
From job site to tailgate, Silverado lets you show up strong and tackle any task.

Speaker 1 Built for the hustle, ready for the game. Silverado is America's most dependable full-size truck.

Speaker 1 Head to Chevy.com to learn more and build your own Chevy Silverado. Okay, week eight in the books.

Speaker 1 We're going to update Sunday night football at the end of all of this because we're going to actually watch the whole thing.

Speaker 1 And PFT week eight overall, F minus grade.

Speaker 5 I wouldn't say F minus grade. The New York Football Jets got to win.

Speaker 1 Well, we are going to start with that. But overall, I think it was the combo of six teams on a bye, six, and some of them good teams.

Speaker 1 And then also just some really ugly blowout games that were completely not competitive.

Speaker 5 Yeah,

Speaker 5 not a lot of really wire-to-wire football today.

Speaker 1 Including the three late slate games that weren't competitive, which that I think always, whenever you have an early slate that doesn't have a ton of excitement, you're like, well, at least we'll get one good game.

Speaker 1 But again, we're taping this early, so maybe we have the Sunday Night Football game to save the whole weekend. But let's start with

Speaker 1 Memes Jets. Jets 39, Bengals, 38.
Memes, the Jets have won a game. What a win.
Got to feel good. Let's go.

Speaker 1 I'm happy for you, memes. I'm happy for you.
I'm happy for you. Memes, you were a little teary-eyed after.
I feel like that was a lot of weight off your shoulder.

Speaker 1 What's so funny?

Speaker 1 What? What? Max is just snickering and pointing at somebody.

Speaker 5 No, memes, this is good. This should be a good moment for you.
This should be a good moment.

Speaker 1 I'm being.

Speaker 5 Memes, congratulations.

Speaker 1 Memes, congratulations. You don't have to be.
You can lay your guard down, memes. What does he point to? You got to speak with the class here, Max.

Speaker 4 Nothing. We just have to unplug.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, yeah. You have to unplug what?

Speaker 4 The wide mic cut out, and I cut to the wide mic, and

Speaker 5 there's just nobody there.

Speaker 1 So that's why, that's why it was like, okay, we got to have a good

Speaker 1 time. I wanted to know,

Speaker 1 keep it all in, but Jets 30, this is so Jets that Memes gets his first win, and we've got, we can't even celebrate it correctly. Jets 39, Bengals 38, Memes.
Congratulations.

Speaker 5 First win of the season. Rooting for you, memes.

Speaker 1 Yes.

Speaker 1 Extremely emotional day.

Speaker 1 Woke up this morning, thought they were going to win. Nick Mangold, unfortunately, passed away.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Jets came out looking bad first quarter. Actually,

Speaker 1 first half offense

Speaker 1 was bad.

Speaker 1 Jets' defense wasn't good until the fourth quarter, but

Speaker 1 they won the Nick Mangold game. They won the Nick Mangold game.
And yeah,

Speaker 1 it was really hard to see that news. Nick is a friend.
Nick, a friend of Barstool, friend of mine.

Speaker 1 I was

Speaker 1 more broken up than I thought when I saw it just because he, you know, we had had him on the yak 10 days ago.

Speaker 1 He had a kidney disease that he's had since 2006, needed a kidney transplant. Really, really sad.
Just one of the best dudes ever. And

Speaker 1 four kids. And like, he and I would text all the time about, you know, kids and fatherhood.
And he was just, he was just the best. Like, he, you could see it too on the internet.

Speaker 1 The amount of people who considered Nick Mangold a friend was really a testament to how great of a guy he was because it was just outpouring of people from everywhere being like, hey, you know, I was at Ohio State with Nick Mangold.

Speaker 1 I was his friend. I was there, you know, I knew him from, you know, living in New Jersey with him, all walks of life.

Speaker 1 Just one of those guys that you literally like couldn't find a person who didn't love him. So yeah, it was an emotional day, memes.
And it was, it was hard to see because I thought.

Speaker 1 I thought it was going to, I thought he was going to get a kidney. And also, just a reminder to people

Speaker 1 that you should be an Oregon donor. It's very easy to do on your license.
It's super easy. You could save a life.
And, but, yeah, I agree, Memes.

Speaker 1 It was an emotional day, and I think that was part of maybe being a little broken up after the game as well.

Speaker 5 Nick was a

Speaker 5 great dude. Like, every interaction that you ever had with him, he was the friendliest person that ever came into the office.
And everybody loved him.

Speaker 5 It was shocking when I woke up this morning and saw that. Like, I was not expecting to see that.

Speaker 5 We were all hoping the best for him. And it's just a really, really sad way to start a day.
I know that like he had a family that cared about him very deeply.

Speaker 5 So like obviously, you know, the tie-in today with the Jets game was something that people talked about. But like I was just like kind of broken up as a human when I saw that this morning.

Speaker 5 And yeah, he was a great football player. He was an awesome dude.
I loved having him around, loved having him in the office.

Speaker 5 He always had, like, he would just bring us like his sauces and stuff and be like, hey, here, I brought this for you guys to try. Check it out.
He would just like make small talk.

Speaker 5 He He would make small talk with everybody, thought about everyone.

Speaker 5 Just a great guy.

Speaker 1 It sucks. And I think that, yeah, the hard

Speaker 1 personally, like, I had, you know, my last, I went back and looked, and like, the last texts I had with him were like five days ago, planning on him getting healthy and coming doing a case race or doing the gauntlet or hanging out with us.

Speaker 1 So, like, seeing that, that's, that's where it really hurt.

Speaker 1 Um, but yes, please be an organ donor and uh just cherish the little moments And memes, to bring it back to the Jets, this was also Aaron Glenn

Speaker 1 first win as an NFL head coach. Also, math guy.

Speaker 1 Math guy.

Speaker 1 So he showed

Speaker 1 a couple games that he's a math guy. Yeah.
The Bucks game, he went for two. Yep.

Speaker 1 Not week two.

Speaker 1 There's been a couple moments that he is an analytically sound. But it worked.
It worked. He was down 14.

Speaker 5 I don't know that we we could say he's an analytic.

Speaker 1 I would say he's a math guy.

Speaker 5 Aaron Glenn's a math guy. Math guy.

Speaker 5 When it comes to two-point conversions, he understands the math. He's a math guy.

Speaker 1 They were down 14

Speaker 1 late in the game in the fourth quarter, scored a touchdown, went for two, then scored again, won the game in regulation with an extra point. Certified math guy.

Speaker 1 And I love it because we still got like the Craig Cartons of the world who tweeted in the moment, you don't go for two there. Aaron Glenn is not a god game day coach right now.

Speaker 1 I think he said good game day coach, was what he was trying to say, but math guy and Brees Hall. Brees Hall was awesome.

Speaker 1 Brees Hall with the touchdown pass that I walk us through that moment, memes, because that touchdown pass, I think we all assumed he was trying to throw it away because he pumped faked.

Speaker 1 It was a first and goal from like the four. Pitched to Brees Hall.
Obviously, the play was for him to throw the ball. He pumped fakes.
It looks like no one's open.

Speaker 1 It looks like he's going to get screwed. He throws it to the back of the end zone, and Mason Taylor makes an awesome catch.
Game winner. That was sick.
Yeah, no.

Speaker 1 I thought it was one of the worst play calls at the time.

Speaker 1 I was like, is he going to throw it? Is he going to throw it? Is he going to throw it? Then he did throw it, and then Mason Taylor just mossed him.

Speaker 1 So that was one of those moments where everything was just going in the Jets' direction. Historically, that's an interception thrown by Brees Hall.
Yep. But today was just the Jets day.

Speaker 5 And Brees Hall, he finally scored today,

Speaker 5 Scored twice and threw a touchdown pass. Yeah.
This is good. This is the free 20 movement that we've been hoping for.
Finally paying off.

Speaker 1 502 total yards of offense for the Jets. It was great.
The Bengals defense is horrifically bad. Horrifically, horrifically bad because this was a game, I'm sure you felt this way, memes.

Speaker 1 Pretty much the whole game, you're like, this is, it's just a two-score, it's a two-touchdown game right now. And it just felt like it was going to be that for the rest of the game.

Speaker 1 And then you have that, you know, I think it was fourth and one with like eight minutes left in the fourth quarter down 14. You're like, there's no way the Jets are going to get this.

Speaker 1 This game's going to end. The Bengals are going to win by two, two touchdowns.
And then it all flipped from there. Yeah, today was just a Team of Destiny vibes for this game.
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 5 You had Aaron Glenn like celebrating

Speaker 5 when they got that two-point conversion. He knew.
Yeah. He already knew that you guys were going to win that.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 They needed a stop and score the entire game, and then

Speaker 1 they finally got it.

Speaker 5 They got like three stop and scores in a row at the end. It was crazy.
Like the Bengals offense just hit a wall in those final, like three or four drives, and you needed three and outs.

Speaker 5 You got them, and then you got them again, then you got them again. I get a question for you, Memes.

Speaker 5 At the very end of the game, after you forced the Bengals to turn it over on downs, and there were, what, like, 40 seconds left in the game? Yeah. Bengals didn't have any timeouts.

Speaker 5 Were you celebrating at that point? Or were you waiting to see, are we able to snap the ball and take a knee? No, I was celebrating. You were?

Speaker 1 I I was celebrating. Okay,

Speaker 5 you knew, like, finally, we're free.

Speaker 1 Yeah, all you needed was one knee, and they were good. Are you thinking maybe a second win?

Speaker 1 Honestly? Yeah. I don't think they should lose another game for the rest of the season.
Okay,

Speaker 5 this is where it starts. Let's go.

Speaker 1 Max is shaking his head. Yeah.
But don't shake your fucking head. I think you...
you have something that bonded the team today. Yep.

Speaker 1 The players clearly don't like the owner

Speaker 1 if you see Justin Field.

Speaker 5 Counterpoint, did Woody Johnson do a great job of owning this team by publicly throwing his quarterback under the bus, thereby making the whole team unite as a whole against the owner?

Speaker 1 Yeah, Woody Johnson, the motivator.

Speaker 5 Also, it's like the plot of Major League.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Also, Woody Johnson, with a hilarious quote about ask, he was asked if he's a good owner, and I think it was from Diana Rossini's article.
Shout out to to Diana.

Speaker 5 Great reporter.

Speaker 1 He said, well,

Speaker 1 I'm obviously not a good owner in terms of winning.

Speaker 1 I think the players can relate to me in some ways, even though I don't have their background. I have a certain amount of empathy, I think, that they can feel.
I can't be them.

Speaker 1 I don't have their background. I didn't grow up in their neighborhood.
There's no way I can completely understand what they want through in their life or they went through in their life.

Speaker 1 But I think they know what I'm...

Speaker 1 that I'm an understanding person. I'm willing to listen to anybody to tell me anything they want to tell me.
I'm willing to listen to their ideas too.

Speaker 1 That's a long way of saying I do the bare minimum as a human being.

Speaker 5 I think that it's him saying like, I think that I'm cool.

Speaker 5 Like there's nothing about me and my background and what I'm about that should be uniting me with any of these guys. But sometimes I say hi to him and I think that they like it when I talk.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 He's like, I have a certain amount of empathy. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Not a ton, but a good amount. Like there's something there where he can listen to someone say something

Speaker 1 and listen to them.

Speaker 1 He's a bare minimum human being. He's a bad guy.
He's just an empath.

Speaker 1 His entire statement there is, I'm a bad owner, but I'm a bare minimum human being. I don't even think that.
He walked into the locker room in 2022 after

Speaker 1 Mike White, who had broken ribs, lost the game in Seattle, and he told him he sucked. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Zero empathy. Yeah.
That's true.

Speaker 1 That's not minus one in the empathy, which is all he has right now. He's also explaining sympathy, right?

Speaker 1 No, he's talking about like, no, you can't understand what someone's gone through, but you can be like, I.

Speaker 4 Well, empathy is you feel.

Speaker 1 You have gone through that. I know that's sympathy.
No, no, no, no.

Speaker 1 You guys are mixing that up.

Speaker 5 I think he's saying

Speaker 5 from an empathetic standpoint, I can feel sympathy.

Speaker 1 What the fuck?

Speaker 1 What does that mean?

Speaker 4 Empathy means you have been there before and you can understand what

Speaker 1 Hank? Hank? Yes. Yes?

Speaker 3 I have no idea. Okay.

Speaker 1 No, I am not. Hank, by the way, is is working off of an all-time

Speaker 1 bachelor party, which we will get to because

Speaker 1 I'm hungover from listening to Hank talk about his bachelor party. He hasn't even talked about it.

Speaker 1 Empathy is feeling with someone by understanding and sharing their emotions, while sympathy is feeling for someone by acknowledging their misfortune for a more detached, extreme way.

Speaker 1 Yeah, sharing their emotions. Oh, okay.
So, yeah, he's messing it up.

Speaker 4 Yes.

Speaker 5 I think he's saying that he has the ability to feel sympathetic. Yes, not empathetic.

Speaker 1 I have a certain amount of empathy is what he said. Yeah, that's not right.
Well, no, no, no.

Speaker 5 He's literally doing as an empath. Yeah.
I feel sympathy for these guys.

Speaker 1 Wait, can you pull up the graphic? He does it all.

Speaker 1 Yeah, we need to do this. This is learning at a

Speaker 1 six-year-old level, by pardon my take.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, of course. Passive, active.
Empathy's active. Yeah.
Okay, so he is not an empath.

Speaker 5 Well, he's saying he's an empath.

Speaker 1 But he's really a sympath.

Speaker 5 He's sympathico.

Speaker 1 Yeah. He's a sympath.
So he didn't even get this right.

Speaker 1 No.

Speaker 1 So

Speaker 1 he's not even doing the one bare minimum thing he's doing. He's not even doing correctly.

Speaker 5 No, he is self-diagnosed as an empath. Right.

Speaker 5 And then he goes on to explain sympathy.

Speaker 1 Got it. Okay.
Yep. So yeah, bad guy.
But they, but PFT's right.

Speaker 5 Listen, he did something.

Speaker 1 Justin Fields was crying in a closet this weekend.

Speaker 5 Justin Fields is now 1-0 as a starting quarterback after his owner threw him under the bus and then backed over it and then had his son come in and drive over him again and then back up again and then drive away.

Speaker 5 Yeah.

Speaker 1 I like Justin Fields' comments. I thought it was very honest, bare.
Like, you don't really see guys talk like that. He said, I'm going to be pretty vulnerable right here.

Speaker 1 This week, I found myself in my closet, crying on the ground, lying down. I was praying over and over.

Speaker 1 That's what Woody Johnson did to him. Yeah.

Speaker 5 Justin Fields found God this week. Yeah.

Speaker 1 And Woody Johnson's like,

Speaker 1 I can relate to that because when they found out my shithead son, although we love Brick, was the manager or the

Speaker 1 de facto GM of the Jets. I went into my closet that is bigger than most people's apartment and shed one single tear.
Yeah.

Speaker 5 Listen, if you can find God, you can find Ty Simpson.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 5 Or Ty Johnson.

Speaker 1 That would be cool if they got Ty Simpson. That would be an amazing intelligible

Speaker 5 Ty Johnson was wide open, hit him in stride.

Speaker 1 He did all this without Garrett Wilson. Nine receivers got caught passes from Justin Fields.
Also, Justin Fields with one of the funniest jump passes of all time.

Speaker 5 Dunk that shit.

Speaker 1 He jumped and then threw it behind the receiver. He grounded it.
Yeah. He grounded it.
Yeah, it was good. It was good.
I'm happy, though, for you, memes. This is a good day.

Speaker 1 So, so you're saying they could maybe run the table for Nick Mangle.

Speaker 5 For Nick Mangle. So they got the Browns next week.
Browns.

Speaker 1 The Browns after a bye. After a bye.
So bye, then Browns.

Speaker 5 Yep.

Speaker 1 Then against the Patriots, Ravens, Falcons, Dolphins. I mean,

Speaker 1 hey. Just come together.

Speaker 5 Yeah, come together. Come together.

Speaker 1 Come as one.

Speaker 5 Play Ookie Cookie and do it.

Speaker 1 Yeah, and if I'm not.

Speaker 1 I'm just talking.

Speaker 1 If you look at the one score graphic, they should be 6-2 right now. Also, great timing to get a win right before the buy.
Great timing.

Speaker 1 Great timing because now you get to basically enjoy this win for an entire two weeks. Next Sunday, you're like, well, we won our last game.
We're hot.

Speaker 1 Yeah, and then when the offense has negative 10 passing yards against the Browns, we're back.

Speaker 5 No, that's not going to happen, memes. You guys are going to go on a roll.
You're right.

Speaker 1 We're bonded now. Bonded.

Speaker 5 You guys share something, and

Speaker 5 it's just good. I just feel good for Jets fans.

Speaker 5 They've had to deal with a lot of shit this year, sometimes from the media, like memes, sometimes from the media, like Rossini's, sometimes from their own owner.

Speaker 5 It's just been like one hit after another that's come to Jets fans, and getting to enjoy a big win against Joe Flacco and the Bengals is just good for the vibes.

Speaker 5 I'm just glad that Jets fans are going to get to to have two full weeks as a winner. Yeah.
That's awesome. That's a great feeling.

Speaker 5 Memes, do you think that there's a possibility that Brick Johnson has ever been fired as a head coach of the Jets on Madden like you?

Speaker 1 No, no chance. You don't think so? No.
Why?

Speaker 1 He seems like he knows what he's doing. Okay.

Speaker 1 For the Bengals, that was as bad as bad gets in terms of defense. Their defense is so, so bad.
That was the second time in 25 years the Jets have gained 500 yards of offense.

Speaker 1 Actually, both of them coming against the Bengals.

Speaker 1 But

Speaker 1 they are horrifically bad. They had a win rate,

Speaker 1 pass-rush win rate of 1.3%.

Speaker 1 Do you know how bad that is? That's very bad. That's so, so bad.

Speaker 1 The Bengals went scoring 38-plus points. The last two seasons are 1-3.

Speaker 1 First 56 seasons, 54-4.

Speaker 1 They're doing the same thing they did last year, where you scored 38 points in the NFL. You should win the game.

Speaker 1 They did not win the game. They got absolutely diced apart by a Jets offense that was not good up until this point.
And it also

Speaker 1 feels like as good as the Joe Flacco was, the story, him playing well, him maybe giving hope to the Bengals fans, which I bought in on because it's Joe Flacco, doesn't feel great for the Bengals locker room.

Speaker 1 Jamar Chase was asked after the game

Speaker 1 what they got to do to change up losing games, even when they're putting up points. He said, I don't know, ask Zach.
It ain't my job. I play offense, not defense.

Speaker 1 So he passed it to Zach Taylor, the head coach. And then Zach Taylor said on the Bengals loss to the Jets, not acceptable, humbling.
Someone needs to step up and lead the group. Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 1 Is that someone in the room?

Speaker 5 That should be Zach. That should be you, buddy.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Now,

Speaker 5 I do agree with what Jamar Chase said. Oh, yeah.
Like, if I was Jamar Chase,

Speaker 5 I would be pissed off, too. You got Joe Flacco running for touchdowns,

Speaker 5 still playing well until the very end of the game when he struggled to keep the offense on the field. But overall, like, if you got this game from Joe Flacco, you're happy.

Speaker 5 Offensively, you're happy today.

Speaker 1 They did hit that wall, but yeah.

Speaker 5 This is the first time that Justin Fields has won a game when their opponent scored more than 21 points. Jesus.

Speaker 5 So, like, you would think that this offensive output from the Bengals would have been enough to win. Historically, it was.
Historically, it was.

Speaker 5 Now, Trey Hendrickson did get hurt, which is a double bummer because, number one, you don't have him in the game to do anything. And number two,

Speaker 5 I feel like there's probably some teams that were in the Trey Hendrickson market, and we'll see if he's injured or not moving forward.

Speaker 5 But that would be a bummer because you wouldn't get any return for

Speaker 5 the one-year extension that you gave him, the one-year reworking of the contract that you gave him.

Speaker 1 Yeah,

Speaker 1 they

Speaker 1 this is just you know, we've dubbed the Ravens season from hell.

Speaker 1 Obviously, last year the Niners were, maybe the Bengals just are, it seems like every year now, because it's just and it sucks because it feels like everything since

Speaker 1 the run to the Super Bowl, whatever it was four years ago, has just not gone as planned.

Speaker 1 And it's, it's, it's a bummer, yeah, it's just a bummer to like the Bengals' offense is fun, but their defense is so historically bad that they lose games like this.

Speaker 5 Yeah, I did like the Bengals uniforms today, though, and I know that they were the standard orange and black, but after they wear the whites, when they come back out with the orange helmets, the orange pops so hard.

Speaker 5 Yeah, They look good.

Speaker 5 Physically, they look like they should be a good defense. They're just not.

Speaker 5 They got to blow the whole thing up. Yeah.

Speaker 1 And yeah, I don't know what else the answer is.

Speaker 5 I don't know, because halfway through this game, Bengals fans were feeling really good about themselves.

Speaker 1 Yeah, they had a path.

Speaker 5 They were like, yeah, Joe Burrow. No, we got Joe Flacco.
We got this offense.

Speaker 5 And the defense looked okay for a little bit. But they're bummed.
Bad day, bad day in Cincinnati right now.

Speaker 1 Did we ever find out why Joe Flacco went to the locker room?

Speaker 5 My theory, because he ran to the locker room and then came right back out. I think that's just a 40-year-old.

Speaker 5 Sometimes he got a piss. He just had to take a piss.
Yeah, even when he was running around on the field, because he had one scramble for like 11 yards, he had the touchdown run.

Speaker 5 The way that he moves looks a lot like me at 3 a.m. when I have to get up and go to the bathroom and come back.

Speaker 1 Yeah, because that did feel

Speaker 1 like they said on the broadcast that Jake Browning was warming up, and that was never the word you want to hear in that moment.

Speaker 5 It sounded like a threat.

Speaker 1 Jake Browning is warming up, Bengals fans. That does sound exactly like a threat.
Yeah. Like, hey, guess what? You guys are all in big trouble.
Yeah. Jake Browning is

Speaker 1 all, and shit's about to happen. Okay, next game.
Ravens, 30 Bears, 16. Bad, bad, bad.
It was an ugly one.

Speaker 1 I don't really know what. Well, let's start with Caleb.
He was not good. He had.

Speaker 1 There's a lot of obvious discourse about Caleb every single week.

Speaker 1 My biggest thing with him right now is that the feel for the game feels to be lacking, and it feels like there's a panic that's like he doesn't see or feel the game.

Speaker 1 And it comes out when you see there was two really bad intentional grounding penalties.

Speaker 1 There was the end of the first half when he didn't get out of bounds, which I kind of, that one he might have gotten smashed

Speaker 1 there.

Speaker 5 That one was like, it was also the stuff that came after it that made him not getting out of bounds a great idea.

Speaker 5 That was a normal football play. You can't always get out of bounds.

Speaker 1 But this game is,

Speaker 1 and I said this on Friday, and I know people are going to want me to freak out and say the sky is falling. I did not expect to win this game.

Speaker 1 Did I expect it was going to be Lamar Jackson, and that was how we're going to lose? Yes. Tyler Huntley, I do not think, is as bad as Cooper Rush.
He's better than Cooper Rush. The Bears' defense,

Speaker 1 I've been saying it for the last four weeks. When the takeaways go away, it's not going going to look good.
And that's what happened today, where you had no turnovers. We didn't take the ball away.

Speaker 1 The cornerbacks are not great. They're very injured.
The pass rush has no dudes outside of Montez sweat. Like, there's just no difference makers overall that can change the course of a game.

Speaker 1 And Caleb has to play better. He has to play better because

Speaker 1 we're kind of in that spot now where

Speaker 1 I'm taking the whole year as a,

Speaker 1 I'm not freaking out game to game, but he has to start playing better. And he has to start like the games where the defense can't take the ball away.
That's when the offense has to step up.

Speaker 1 We've had games where the defense has saved the offense. These are the type of games where it's a winnable game that you have to be able to score touchdowns, not field goals.

Speaker 1 And that's the biggest thing is they, the first three weeks for the Bears, they were six for seven in the red zone in terms of touchdowns.

Speaker 1 Since then, four weeks four through eight, they're five for 16. They get in the red zone.
They don't score touchdowns.

Speaker 1 You saw it in the first two drives of the game that were looking good and then stalled out. And I don't really know what that is, but it's got to be better.

Speaker 5 When Caleb panics, you know how we say Josh Allen just hits all the buttons? Caleb does a thing where you just hold down the pass button really hard.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 5 And when he's spinning around and he's like not getting to his, or he sees his first read not open. He feels a pass rush sometimes that may or may not be there.

Speaker 5 His answer is always just like throw the ball harder.

Speaker 1 Yeah, it's just. And

Speaker 5 that's where he loses a lot of the accuracy when he goes to like the second guy or the third guy.

Speaker 5 I don't know. Today, the Ravens played pretty good.
Yeah, they played good football.

Speaker 1 Roquan coming back for the Ravens was huge for their defense. And they cheated everywhere.

Speaker 5 And the Ravens cheated on the injury report going into the game. Yep.

Speaker 5 Lamar Jackson, he was listed as full participant on Friday, and then they had to go back and retroactively change the practice report because he was a full participant, but for the scout team. Yeah.

Speaker 5 And by the letter of the law, that means that he was not a full participant, actually. So the Ravens might get fine.
But also, spin zone for the Bears.

Speaker 5 That means they said, hey, we need somebody who can emulate Caleb Williams. Lamar, you're the best guy for the job.

Speaker 1 That is a good spin zone.

Speaker 5 Like, Snoop Huntley cannot emulate Caleb Williams. We need our MVP to do it.

Speaker 1 It was quite a week to have that happen after the NBA stuff. Yeah.
Where you had a little shenanigans on the injury report and people were crying foul, which I understand.

Speaker 1 But overall,

Speaker 1 this was a very tough watch for the Bears' offense. I don't know why we abandoned the run so quickly.
It felt like it was working. It also feels like that's been the strength coming out of the buy.

Speaker 1 I still can't quite figure out the tight end plan. Cole Komet was out.
Colson Loveland got, you know, I think he got five targets. He looked okay.

Speaker 1 But like in the red zone where you're struggling, where's the tight end? I don't know. So overall, it was just...
a bad game. And

Speaker 1 big picture. I always had, this is what people aren't going to want to hear because they're going to want me to freak out.
but I really don't feel this way.

Speaker 1 Because if you've noticed in the last, whatever, it's been three or four weeks in the Bears' winning streak, have I at all said that the Bears were a good team?

Speaker 5 I have not. There's always Gateway.

Speaker 1 I said they were working towards being a good team. They have graduated from being a bad team, but I've never called them a good team.
And today is why. Because I don't think they're a good team yet.

Speaker 1 They are working their way to be potentially a good team. But today are the days where you're like, ah, this doesn't look very good.
The offense doesn't look very good. Caleb doesn't look good.

Speaker 1 The defense can't take the ball away. And it's kind of, again, injuries happen, but everyone gets injuries.
You can't just blame them all away.

Speaker 1 The defense just doesn't, when they don't get three interceptions, it doesn't look as special as it did the last few weeks. So I'm not freaking out.
They have to,

Speaker 1 Caleb has to unload against the Bengals next week. Like he has to look good in that game because we just saw what Justin Fields and the Jets did to the Bengals.

Speaker 1 That's going to be a big one where that might be where the freakout starts.

Speaker 5 Yeah, if he looks bad against the Bengals, then it might be time to start. We should plan on having a conversation if Caleb Williams doesn't light up the Bengals.
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 And listen, I'm also realizing that I'm not even year one for Caleb Williams was bad because the coaching was. He's had seven games with Ben Johnson.
I don't know if Ben Johnson fully trusts him.

Speaker 1 I don't know

Speaker 1 if he's Ben Johnson's quarterback,

Speaker 1 but you got to just keep hoping that it gets better.

Speaker 5 Can you give me a stat line? Stat line. He's got to hit him against the Bengals.

Speaker 5 What does Caleb Williams have to do for us to be comfortable in our skin on that Monday show?

Speaker 1 300.

Speaker 1 Three total TDs. Okay.

Speaker 5 I think. How many rushing yards?

Speaker 1 I don't know.

Speaker 1 I'm fine with no rushing yards if he passes well. Okay.
But three total TDs, so he can run in a TD.

Speaker 5 Okay, three total T D's.

Speaker 1 I think it's doable. Yeah, and he just, the pick was bad.

Speaker 1 You just can't have that interception in that moment in the shadow of your own end zone. I saw some people complaining about DeAndre Hopkins, the OPI call.

Speaker 1 You can't, we didn't deserve to win this game. That was a bad missed call.
It was.

Speaker 1 We didn't deserve to win this game. We did too many of the little things.

Speaker 1 And again, going back to are they a good team? No. They don't do the little things correctly week in and week out where you have bad penalties.
Because intentional grounding, like that is just a sack.

Speaker 1 You are just getting sacked.

Speaker 1 And it's a sack on the quarterback. You just can't have that happen.
And

Speaker 1 the clock management and the frenzy nature. And I love Cairo Santos, but this is why I've been saying for a while now that you just can't compete in the NFL today with a guy with his leg.

Speaker 5 Do you think he knows that he's allowed to bring his own balls? I don't know. He seems like the only guy that struggles from like 55.
Really?

Speaker 1 He doesn't have the leg. Yeah, really.
But Jake Moody, I don't.

Speaker 1 Jake Moody was good. That end of the first half, like you, you have to have a kicker who can kick a 55-yard field goal.

Speaker 5 Yeah, Jake Moody was good. I was impressed.
I think that whatever happened to Man Sam, that's water under the bridge.

Speaker 1 Yeah, he was scared as Kyle Shanahan.

Speaker 5 Yeah, and now he's like in the zone. So, yeah,

Speaker 5 Moody might be your answer. Now, if you look at the Ravens and the Bears, you say, okay, the Bears are 4-3 right now, and the Ravens are 2-5.

Speaker 1 Always had this as a loss. Again, I wish it had not come against Tyler Huntley, but I did have this as a scheduled loss.

Speaker 5 But if you look at, so with those records, if you look at their

Speaker 5 percentage chance to make the playoffs on the athletics playoffs simulator that they have, it's kind of crazy because the Ravens at 2-5 are now up to 44% to make the playoffs.

Speaker 5 It's a weird division that they're in.

Speaker 5 The Bears are now down to 27%.

Speaker 1 I mean, it makes perfect sense.

Speaker 5 And if you look at the Ravens' schedule.

Speaker 1 Well, it's not even that. It's one, the Ravens are a better team than the Bears.
And two,

Speaker 1 the NFC is just significantly harder. Yeah.
The NFC is the the the the seventh seed in the AFC can be had with probably nine wins.

Speaker 5 I also feel like removing the ping-pong tables is good for at least 10% on that.

Speaker 1 Absolutely. I said that on Friday.
When you move the ping when you take out the ping-pong tables, you win games.

Speaker 1 And the pinball. I was very worried about that.

Speaker 5 Hank, how do you feel about the pinball machine being taken away?

Speaker 3 You took it away?

Speaker 1 No, no, Harbaugh did. Yeah.

Speaker 5 Or no, sorry, the players decided to.

Speaker 3 I feel bad for the players. That sucks.
But

Speaker 3 you kind of have to, yeah. It forced you to lock in.

Speaker 1 Yeah. What are you looking at, Max? You're trying to find it?

Speaker 4 I'm trying to look at the playoff simulator. Oh.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 5 Yeah. You're going to spend way too much time.

Speaker 5 Listen, the playoff predictor thing is maybe my favorite website in the world to use, but you got to wait maybe to like week 12, 13.

Speaker 5 You can't have the simulator before we get the end-the-hunt graphic. There's an order to things.

Speaker 1 Yeah, right now, the Jaguars are the seventh seed in the playoffs at four and three, and the Bears at four and three are outside the playoffs in the NFC. Yep.

Speaker 1 So, and do you guys think I'm being too reasonable?

Speaker 5 No, I mean, you had this penciled in as a loss for like the last month. Yeah.
Because you were like, that's when Lamar is going to get back.

Speaker 1 And I wish it wasn't Tyler Huntley, but I also have been waiting for the game where we don't turn the ball over at all. Yeah.
And it happened today.

Speaker 1 And

Speaker 1 I, you know, the gateway, the whole gateway thing was basically to judge it. I broke up the Bears' schedule to judge it based on their home stretch.

Speaker 1 So the gateway is still exactly where I thought it would be.

Speaker 1 They have to win against the Bengals and the Giants in the next two weeks because then the home stretch is when they have a ton of really tough games and it's probably not going to go great.

Speaker 1 But you have to put yourself in a position where you can maybe find a way to tread water, go 500, and still have a shot at the playoffs. That was the whole plan.
Yep.

Speaker 5 And when we're talking about the Ravens and

Speaker 5 their running offense, guess who is back today?

Speaker 1 Derrick Henry.

Speaker 5 Patrick Ricard.

Speaker 1 And Patrick Ricard. Patrick Ricard.

Speaker 5 And Derrick Henry. I think it was his first game back this season.
And yeah, they looked like a different team.

Speaker 1 I think the Ravens will... This was a...

Speaker 1 This has to feel good knowing that you got Lamar Jackson an extra week of rest and you won the game. And next week you're playing against the Dolphins, which actually is a Thursday night game.

Speaker 1 So that might have been why they didn't play Lamar. Yeah.
Because they knew that he'd have to turn around and play the Thursday night game.

Speaker 1 But you're playing the Thursday night game against the Dolphins who have just won a game. And then you have the Vikings, Browns, and Jets.
That's the next four games.

Speaker 1 And the Ravens can absolutely be back in the playoff hunt very quickly.

Speaker 5 They got the Bengals after that, too. Yeah.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 So, yeah.

Speaker 5 I mean, the Ravens are still very much alive. Yes.

Speaker 1 Very much alive. And their defense looked a lot better.

Speaker 1 That was a lot of the Bears' offense looking bad. But yeah, Rokon was everywhere.
That was huge. He was absolutely everywhere.
So next week, we'll see.

Speaker 1 I'm officially saying next week,

Speaker 1 I'm not saying the Bears have, it's not a must-win for the Bears. It's a must-look good, Caleb.
Yep.

Speaker 5 He has to look good. It's on Caleb, yeah.

Speaker 1 Because you got to start

Speaker 1 getting better and better. And he's had moments where it's looked good, but today was a bad day.

Speaker 1 And it's okay to say.

Speaker 5 What if Caleb, what if he looks okay? What if he has like 200 yards passing on like 15 of 21? Okay. One touchdown.
Put a win. One touchdown, a win, and then Swift just carves him up.

Speaker 1 I can live with that.

Speaker 1 I just need to see him be more comfortable. It doesn't, do you guys see what I'm saying? Hey, Britain.
It just doesn't.

Speaker 1 The command of a game,

Speaker 1 the great quarterbacks, you see it. It's almost like an intuition where they're in control at all times.

Speaker 1 Even if they're having an off day, he just hasn't gotten to that.

Speaker 5 He hasn't gotten that command down and it just it looks it looks rushed and kind of frenzy-ish he looks panicked when he whenever the game is like in a pressure situation if there's like a third and long he really looks like he cannot he feels like failure is unacceptable and i think he has to learn that like you gotta you gotta manage the game before you start treating it like you're at usc and you can just win it on your own and this thing sucks is the first two drives kind of looked like he was under control he just couldn't couldn't get in the end zone.

Speaker 1 It's a killer. Okay, next game.

Speaker 1 Yeah, the Ravens, by the the way, yeah, I'm,

Speaker 1 what's the Ravens? Let me do the DraftKings ad read right now.

Speaker 1 Let's just, let's look up the Ravens' odds to make the playoffs or to win the NFC North because that might be something we want to look at.

Speaker 1 All right, Max, what do we got?

Speaker 1 Ravens to win plus 105. That's it? That's it.

Speaker 4 Dang. Same exact odds as the Steelers.

Speaker 1 Because they play the Steelers twice as well. And what's their odds to make the playoffs? It's got to be less than that because they could get a wild card.

Speaker 1 We're just still going to.

Speaker 1 I think the only thing you can do is just bet the Ravens to win the Super Bowl.

Speaker 5 This has

Speaker 5 Ravens to make the playoffs 44%. Ravens to win the division, 40%.

Speaker 5 Ravens to win the Super Bowl, 3%.

Speaker 1 20-1 Super Bowl. Okay.

Speaker 1 And by the way, I see some people free. I saw one person

Speaker 1 tweet something that was a very scary tweet. He said this was Caleb's Justin Fields Tampa Bay game, and that was the game where it was

Speaker 1 the one where he missed wide open guys. I am not getting to that point

Speaker 1 at all.

Speaker 1 But people who are freaking out to that level, just fucking relax. We have an entire back half of the season for Kilb to play with Ben Johnson.
Just chill out. It wasn't good.

Speaker 1 It's okay to say it's not good and to also say it can get better.

Speaker 5 When you have a history of bad quarterback games, it makes it very scary to compare every game. Every bad game that you have reminds you of a traumatic experience that you've had in the past.

Speaker 1 I think the calmness that I have is all because of Ben Johnson. I believe in Ben Johnson.
That's where the calmness comes from. I believe in whatever Ben Johnson's plan is.

Speaker 5 For the first time today, Ben Johnson. For the first time today, I've heard you have more faith in whatever Ben Johnson wants to do than whatever Caleb Williams is capable of.
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 I mean, Ben Johnson is the key. Yeah.

Speaker 1 It's Ben Johnson's team. I have faith in Ben Johnson.
He will decide if Caleb is his guy or not.

Speaker 5 It's Ben Johnson. It's off your shoulders now.
It's off my.

Speaker 1 I like that. I like that.
Yeah.

Speaker 5 Yeah, exactly. Coach's coach.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I'm just here to support Ben Johnson.

Speaker 5 Yeah, that's good.

Speaker 1 Okay, the Eagles 38 Giants 20 Max.

Speaker 1 Easy win. Easy win.
Easy. Took care of business.
Saquon finally had his big game. That was huge.

Speaker 1 He was like the second play from Scrimmer's 65-yard touchdown. He hadn't had a 20-plus-yard touchdown all season yet, and he did tweak his groin, but he ended with 150 yards on just 14 carries.

Speaker 4 I wonder if he would have come back in the game. It was pretty much out of reach when that happened.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 4 So I'm just hoping that it was, you know,

Speaker 4 safety that they were. Safety first.

Speaker 5 Yeah. Safety first.

Speaker 4 Safety first when the game was pretty much out of hand.

Speaker 4 The Eagles look good on both sides of the ball.

Speaker 1 They're running the ball really well.

Speaker 4 Jalen Hurts, again, had a very good game. The pass rush was awesome.

Speaker 5 And the refs played really well for you guys, too. Yeah.

Speaker 1 The refs played great for you guys. Sure.
Game ball. Game ball to the refs.

Speaker 1 Blowing the whistle early.

Speaker 4 The NFL. The refs aren't great.
The refs were very

Speaker 4 on both sides of the ball in this game, there was calls that were very controversial.

Speaker 1 That was such a bad call.

Speaker 1 Same was a bad call. No, the fumble, the fumble.
The tush-push called, for people who weren't watching the game, there was a tush-push. The PI was too much.
And everyone

Speaker 4 freaking out about the PI.

Speaker 1 I agree with that. Well, Daybull, all-time freak out.
Yeah. All-time freak out.

Speaker 1 For people who didn't see the game, the tush-push, there was a tush-push where Jalen Hurts, still moving forward, still being pushed, reached the ball over the first down line, got it knocked out of his hands by Kayvon Thibodeau.

Speaker 1 But the refs then said they had blown forward progress. It is not reviewable.

Speaker 1 Brian Dable had every right to freak out on that.

Speaker 4 That

Speaker 4 I'm fine with people saying. I'm fine with people being mad about the tush push.

Speaker 4 It doesn't matter that the Eagles fucking blew them out after that. Doesn't matter that there was the most obvious hold of all time where

Speaker 4 Nicobie Dean

Speaker 4 is blitzing the quarterback on the first Giants touchdown, and he gets tackled right in front of Jackson Dart, and they don't call it. So, like, it's the NFL.
Sometimes there's bad calls.

Speaker 4 Sometimes shit happens. People are obsessed with the tush push.
They are.

Speaker 4 It's the sort of thing that the Eagles are turning in to the team that is very good, that everyone just wants to look for an excuse of why they're not going to.

Speaker 5 Yeah, the worst part of that for the Eagles was that it happened on a tush push. And then everybody, after the fact, being like, see, this is why you got to change the tush push.

Speaker 5 You can't officiate it. That's a fucked-up call no matter what play it is.
Like, I don't think that had anything to do. You could definitely make the argument.

Speaker 5 Yeah, it's hard to tell if you false start on the tush-push. Like, there's other stuff that's tough about it.
That was a non-tush-push-related blown call.

Speaker 5 It could have happened on any play that Jalen Hurts was running the ball. Yeah.

Speaker 4 No, and I get it. Like, that,

Speaker 4 like, that had nothing. I don't know.
I don't know. I don't, I, that, that wasn't like the false start where it's like, this is really hard to officiate.
This is, that was any play.

Speaker 4 That was just a screwed up whistle on their part.

Speaker 1 That was, yeah.

Speaker 1 They blew the whistle too early. You can't review it.
Yeah, you can't review it when they blow the whistle too early. That's a that's a fuck up on the rest.

Speaker 5 It was a great, great game by Saquon, like you said. You needed that.
He looked explosive again, finally. Jalen Hurts, four touchdowns.
Good game from him, too.

Speaker 5 They didn't ask him to do a whole lot, but he was awesome. He was a very good game for Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 5 Max, do you think Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown are okay?

Speaker 1 No, nope, nope, absolutely not.

Speaker 1 Absolutely not.

Speaker 1 PFT

Speaker 1 came maybe like three minutes late to the stream today, and he asked Max, does A.J. Brown look locked in? And Max just said, nope.
Nope. Not locked in at all.
He had sunglasses on on the sidebar.

Speaker 5 Max, I'm confused. I'm chilling.
Because we've, I mean, this might be the first time we've asked you if they're okay.

Speaker 5 So I don't know if this is a change of pace that you have or if you've just maintained that they were okay for a long time, but now you're saying that they're not okay. So what happened?

Speaker 4 I don't fucking know. A.J.
Brown is insane.

Speaker 1 What did he do?

Speaker 5 He's not insane. He's, listen, as an empath.
He's an occurring guest. As an empath, I understand what AJ's going through.
As we establish, he feels used by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Speaker 5 They only throw him the ball when they want to score touchdowns.

Speaker 5 They don't throw the ball because they care about him as a human being.

Speaker 5 And then earlier, I think it was last night, he went through all of his old tweets and deleted every compliment that he had made online about Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 5 So, like, he went to the advanced search on Twitter,

Speaker 5 typed in tweets from 1K Always Open containing any of these words, Jalen Hurts, and then manually deleted every tweet that he had.

Speaker 3 How do you know that?

Speaker 5 That's the only way that you could do it. Someone found it out.

Speaker 1 Someone

Speaker 4 found out about it online, and then it became a thing.

Speaker 1 It's so funny. That is the pettiest.

Speaker 1 He's basically doing a

Speaker 1 middle school burn book. Which I remind you, this is after a game where he had 120 yards of the game.
He was awesome.

Speaker 1 So it's like... I side with A.J.

Speaker 5 Brown. Yeah.
I do.

Speaker 5 It sounds like AJ, his only crime, he's just too nice of a guy. And he won't demand a trade.
So I'll demand it for him. I'm demanding a trade on behalf of A.J.
Brown. AJ, I will speak for you.

Speaker 4 I said it before. I said it in the cave earlier.
I think it would be.

Speaker 4 The funniest move is if he just pulls at James Harden, gets super fat

Speaker 4 and refuses to be good at football.

Speaker 1 That would be funny.

Speaker 5 That would be fun. But I disagree.
I think the funniest move would be if he got traded to the Patriots and Hank.

Speaker 1 I agree. Hank, I know you take care of Vrabel.

Speaker 5 You would take such good care of him.

Speaker 3 Him and Vrabel love each other. You love A.J.
Brown.

Speaker 5 I mean,

Speaker 5 you take him under your wing.

Speaker 3 Anyone we have on this show, I root for and respect. I don't just say, you know, he's,

Speaker 1 what'd you call him?

Speaker 3 Insanely.

Speaker 5 He's an insane person. This is what your fans think of.

Speaker 1 Yeah, A.J.

Speaker 1 Yeah. And he's standing by it.
No, that's standing by it.

Speaker 3 Especially when they won a Super Bowl for your city just last year.

Speaker 1 That's the other thing.

Speaker 4 He will get traded. I will still love A.J.
Brown. He won a Super Bowl and he was a great receiver for us.

Speaker 1 But he's an insane person.

Speaker 4 Yeah, that is true. I mean,

Speaker 4 some of the best receivers are. And he's right there in the mix.

Speaker 1 Do you think Jalen Hurts can change anything about himself?

Speaker 4 Jalen Hurts has seven touchdown passes and nine incompletions in the last two weeks.

Speaker 1 Somebody read a statistic. I wasn't talking about that.
That's a fucking stat. Somebody read a battle.
That's a crazy stat. Unfortunately, I wasn't talking about on the field.

Speaker 1 I'm saying, do you think he can change anything about himself off the field to make him more likable to A.J. Brown?

Speaker 4 Whatever. I don't care.

Speaker 4 It is what it is. This is the situation.
There's nothing more that can be done.

Speaker 1 Like,

Speaker 4 if A.J. Brown is going to be upset after a game where he had 120 yards and two touchdowns, he will never be.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you can't do that. He will never be up there.
He will never be happy. You're right.

Speaker 1 Do you want to hear Jalen Hurts' fortune cookies today? Yep. Yeah, they were good.

Speaker 4 The one that I sent.

Speaker 1 Did you send one?

Speaker 4 No, no. The tweet that I sent you was crazy.

Speaker 1 He said

Speaker 5 the best is yet to come.

Speaker 1 Number 14, 28.

Speaker 4 Best is yet to come.

Speaker 1 Best is yet to come. That's a perfect.

Speaker 4 Every football player says that. Okay.

Speaker 1 I don't know if every football player says that. The best is yet to come.

Speaker 4 Yes.

Speaker 4 The same thing as saying we're not playing our best football yet?

Speaker 1 No,

Speaker 4 that is a synonym of we're not going to be. What about this one?

Speaker 1 We're always in the process of becoming.

Speaker 4 Okay. I don't even know what the fuck that means.

Speaker 1 Right.

Speaker 4 That one I'll give you. The best is yet to come.
I will not.

Speaker 1 And then

Speaker 1 there will be a test along the way.

Speaker 1 Or there will be tests along the way. Football talk.
Football talk? Okay. So you get one fortune.

Speaker 1 He gets one fortune cookie.

Speaker 4 He gets one fortune cookie out of me.

Speaker 1 Grading Jalen Hurts post-game press conference, it gets one fortune cookie.

Speaker 4 Fortune cookie or football talk

Speaker 4 should be the name of the segment. Yes.

Speaker 1 And we are working on getting fortune cookies for pardon my cheesesteaks.

Speaker 1 The football fortune cookies.

Speaker 5 A fortune cheesesteak?

Speaker 1 No, it's just going to be, we're just going to have, you're going to eat a cheese steak, and then you're going to have two fortune cookies in your bag. That's cool, too.

Speaker 1 And you're going to break it open, and it's going to have a football cookie.

Speaker 5 I was hoping I'm just going to. Yeah, you really,

Speaker 3 you want to put fortune cookies inside of it. I think it'd be a real winner.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 5 I think they would fly off the shelves.

Speaker 1 Here's an idea. Let's make it more complicated.

Speaker 1 And then you actually have to eat around the paper.

Speaker 5 Yeah, no, you just bite into it, and then there's like an 8x10 piece of paper.

Speaker 1 It's actually not the cookie. it's just the paper.
Yeah, called truth hurts. Truth hurts.
Truth hurts. Yeah, I like that.
For the Giants, Scatabo, that sucked. Yeah.
So his ankle went sideways.

Speaker 1 He's definitely going to be out for the year.

Speaker 5 But also, shout out to Cam Scatterbo for trying to walk off the field.

Speaker 5 He was like, pick me up. I'm just going to walk this one off when his ankle was sideways.
Oh, he's a psycho. He's a psycho.

Speaker 5 And then they put him onto the injury cart and he started screaming, let's fucking go. Yeah.
As they're taking him off.

Speaker 5 That was a big-time bummer because even as a division rival of the Giants, I love watching that man play football. It's the best.

Speaker 1 I'll do a little bit of a spin zone for Giants fans, and I know this doesn't really work, but it was just a thought that popped in my head. You're not going to the playoffs this year.

Speaker 1 Hopefully, Cam Scatterbu is fine, and he's fully healthy for next year. This is less hits that he has to take, and you get maybe a fresher, you know, depending on how the injury goes.

Speaker 1 You never want to get injured, but you can kind of spin it in your head, like, hey,

Speaker 1 his running style only has a certain shelf life of carries, of hits, of everything.

Speaker 1 This year is not really going to look great. Next year, he's back 100% healthy, ready to go.
The workload doesn't add up as fast.

Speaker 1 That's my only spin-so.

Speaker 5 I saw that some of the some of the New York Giants fans here at Barstool put out a shirt of Dart and Scatterboo. in the first quarter of this game and it just said white boy fall

Speaker 5 and then we saw a white boy fall like five seconds after the shirt came out. That's that's a tough break for him.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 5 But yeah, I'm bummed out about Scataboo. I think that I think the Giants are in a position where this season is now fully about just developing Jackson Dart.
Yep.

Speaker 5 I think that whatever magic they had when they beat the Eagles, there were a lot of Giants fans that were like, watch out. We're going to go on a run here.

Speaker 5 Now it's just about making sure that Jackson Dart progresses, gets better, learns how to compete, and you can just put all your stock in that.

Speaker 5 Let's get a good draft pick for next year, but I want Jackson Dart to look good.

Speaker 1 Yeah,

Speaker 1 I think that is exactly right. It's just Jackson Dart looking better and better, the pass rush.

Speaker 1 There was a very funny moment after the game where Kayvon Thibodeau was asked about the tush-push play, and he said, sounds like some bullshit to me.

Speaker 1 And then Brian Burns in the locker next to him said, you'll get fined. And he replied, sorry, that was a great call by the ref.

Speaker 5 Okay. So we're good.
So let's go with that.

Speaker 1 Great call by the ref. Max, you should actually

Speaker 1 great call by the ref. That's what it was.
Whatever. Do you want a pro-Siriani stat? Sure.

Speaker 1 For the first time in Philadelphia Eagles' history, franchise history, they have started six and two or better in four consecutive seasons. Pretty damn good.
That's Nick Siriani.

Speaker 4 Pretty damn good. Pretty good.
Pretty good.

Speaker 1 You're not satisfied.

Speaker 5 I'm sensing, this is like a recurring theme sometimes with Max and the Eagles. Wins that should feel like wins that actually feel like losses.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 No, this was

Speaker 1 a dominating win. No, but you're poor AJ Brown.

Speaker 5 But you're still kind of bummed out about the whole A.J. Brown situation.

Speaker 5 You're pissed off about the ref stuff.

Speaker 4 No, I'm very happy with the way the Eagles look today. Okay, but I have no issues with the way they look.

Speaker 5 As far as the team, the team as it's constructed right now, good vibes. Yeah.

Speaker 4 It's fine. It's fine.

Speaker 1 The opposite side of the Nick Siriani pro-Nick Siriani stat, the Eagles 6-2 or better in four consecutive seasons, first time in franchise history.

Speaker 1 The Giants, last nine seasons, in eight out of the nine seasons, they have had one or two wins after week eight.

Speaker 5 That's tough.

Speaker 1 Really tough.

Speaker 1 What Eli Manning has done for the Giants organization in terms of... Like, oh, yeah, they won those two Super Bowls.
Because they've been, like, it's hidden the fact that

Speaker 1 sorry Mr. Mara and the Giants franchise has just been so horrifically bad for a decade now.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Very two and six, two and six, two and six. The one Daniel Jones year, six and two.
Yep. Two and six, one and seven, two and six, one and seven, one and seven.

Speaker 1 That's the last nine years through week eight.

Speaker 5 And it's been 13 years now since they've beaten the Eagles in Philadelphia.

Speaker 5 And those jerseys looked awesome for the Eagles today.

Speaker 1 They're 5-0.

Speaker 5 Yeah, 5-0. 5-0 in the Kelly Green.

Speaker 5 Why does the league do this to us? Why does the the league have uniforms like the Eagles, Kelly Green, like the Broncos? It's crazy.

Speaker 5 The orange and the blue helmets that they trot out for us once every like five weeks and we're just salivating all over ourselves. And then they just go back to the other.

Speaker 5 Why is that a thing?

Speaker 1 This is where I wish we had Adam Silver as the commissioner of the NFL because we could easily bully him. We should do an entire season.
Follow me on this.

Speaker 1 An entire season, every team wears their best uniform for the whole year. Yeah.
Just do it.

Speaker 1 The Kelly Greens are so, so good. The Eagle in the middle of the field, so awesome.
You agree, Max, right? Of course. Don't do anything else.

Speaker 4 And the white Kelly Greens are also awesome, but I want them to wear just I want them to just go full Kelly Green all the time.

Speaker 1 Yeah, all the time. Yeah.

Speaker 4 Because

Speaker 4 the home and away would be great.

Speaker 1 I don't know why teams are just afraid of saying, hey, you know what? We actually did have better uniforms 30 years ago. Yeah, so it's okay to say that.

Speaker 5 When was the last time they changed their primary uniform?

Speaker 1 Eagles? Yeah.

Speaker 1 It's been a while. Like

Speaker 5 my whole life. They could just go back.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 They could. Nothing stopped.
Teams could just go back. The Broncos should just go back.

Speaker 5 I do like the white ones with the Kelly Green.

Speaker 5 I looked at that. I see Randall Cunningham.

Speaker 4 Like, if they had, if that was just their home in a way, it would be awesome.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Even the Giants, their helmets, the helmets that say Giants, I think that's the one.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 When they wear them every now and then, they look so cool. And they should wear them.
Not the NY, when it says Giants, the Lawrence Taylor Giants.

Speaker 1 Just pick your best and go with that.

Speaker 1 Please. He'll never do it.

Speaker 5 Max, go under your head.

Speaker 5 A.J. Brown will be an Eagle for this entire season.
Yes or no?

Speaker 4 Yes, he will be an Eagle for this entire season. He won't be happy about it, but he will be an Eagle this season.

Speaker 5 And if not, we can see that.

Speaker 4 Howie is not going to just eat the cap because he's upset. He's not going to make this team worse just to make A.J.
Brown's feelings

Speaker 1 not hurt.

Speaker 5 I would do that for A.J. I'd do anything to make sure that his feelings were okay.

Speaker 1 Feelings matter. Feelings do matter.

Speaker 1 He is simple feelings. He will be an Eagles.

Speaker 5 You think feelings don't matter.

Speaker 4 Unless there's a deal that makes the Eagles better.

Speaker 4 I think that's what the report said.

Speaker 1 If Howie makes the deal, then

Speaker 1 by nature, right? Yeah. Howie did it again.

Speaker 5 Would this be a fucking Howie?

Speaker 1 That's the beauty of Howie.

Speaker 1 He could do anything.

Speaker 1 He could trade A.J. Brown for a bag of balls, and he'd be like, fucking Howie.
He got the best bag of balls you could find. These balls are incredible.
They're Shane's balls. Shane has the best balls.

Speaker 1 Fact. It's just a fact.
Fact. The Bucks cream skulls.
Always. Yeah.
Always. Great jersey.
Great jersey.

Speaker 5 Max. I'll just jets.
The Eagles look awesome. Like on the field, the Eagles looked very good.
Yeah, it was a good game.

Speaker 1 Yeah, it was a very good game.

Speaker 4 I needed an easy win. Today was a nice easy win.

Speaker 1 Today, yeah, you guys looked very good. And the Saquon run, having that come back, oh shit.

Speaker 4 That's the Eagles. Against a good defensive line, too.

Speaker 1 I do love Brian Dables' freakouts.

Speaker 1 Something about

Speaker 1 a bald short man just losing it. Yeah, he is.
He's got a little bagel boss energy to him.

Speaker 5 It almost seems like every game. He knows how thin the ice is this year.

Speaker 5 And

Speaker 5 he's conducting himself in such a manner. It's like every call.
It might be his last.

Speaker 1 He's like when you're in a really bad mood and someone asks you how you're doing, you're like, I'm fine.

Speaker 1 Oh, well, clearly you're not.

Speaker 5 At some point this season, Brian Dable might tell a ref, like, you're going to get me fired. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Hey, fuckhead. Yeah.
Switch the call, otherwise I'm fired. He's doing everything.

Speaker 5 He's going into the injury tent. He's pulling out all the stops.

Speaker 1 Okay, next game. Texans 26, 49ers, 15.
This is my one.

Speaker 1 I have one of these a week, one game a week where I actually have a thought and it comes true and then I feel like a genius, forget about all the other games that I get wrong every single week. But

Speaker 1 the defense of the 49ers is decimated to a point where they couldn't even get a pass rush on the Houston Texans and C.J. Stroud looked really good.

Speaker 5 Yeah, the best win of the year for the Texans. By far.
By far. Not even close second.
Mac Jones does not look like the long-term answer. I feel like

Speaker 5 the soft benching might have gotten a little harder.

Speaker 1 I think that bench got hard today. I think the Texas defense is that good.
They are very good. Like

Speaker 1 Mac Jones didn't look great. They started the game just giving nothing in terms of, I think they ended up with like 223 yards.
So they weren't able to move the ball.

Speaker 1 They weren't able to give their defense a rest. But I think that's more about the Texans D line is so, so nasty.
Daniil Hunter, Will Anderson, he was running.

Speaker 1 He was Mac Jones, I think he only got sacked twice, but he must have gotten hit hard a million times. It felt like every play, he was almost gonna die.

Speaker 5 He had a couple where he was scrambling around, got hit, was slow to get up, and then reminded him, Okay, you can't be hurt right now, Mac.

Speaker 5 Yeah, but we don't really have any other options, so just go back out there and pretend it doesn't hurt. Here's what the Texans did a good job of making the Niners like entirely one-dimensional.

Speaker 5 Yes, they took away the running game, and they're like, Mac Jones is gonna have to beat us. Mac Jones could not beat them, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 And I, it was just a really good game for

Speaker 1 again. CJ Stroud looked comfortable CJ Stroud again, where he

Speaker 1 he was hitting everyone. They didn't have Nico Collins.

Speaker 1 He looked like he had that confident poise in the pocket, you know, not freaking out.

Speaker 1 It probably was because

Speaker 1 he didn't get sacked once and they were able to block for him. And turns out he's a really good quarterback when they can block for him.

Speaker 5 And not having Fred Warner on defense for the Niners, it hurts them a lot.

Speaker 1 Well, they lost any game like this. Warner, Bosa, Huff.
That was the big thing going into this game that I was like, I love the Texans in this game. They lost Huff as well.

Speaker 1 They don't have anyone who can get to the passer, and that's really the Texans. If you can rush the passer, the Texans are fucked.
If you can't, C.J. Shroud's going to look like he looked today.

Speaker 5 And you should be able to stop the run. You should be able to get to the passer with that offensive line.
Right.

Speaker 1 You should. I like Woody Marks, too.
He's got a little pop to him.

Speaker 5 Yeah, Woody Marks was good today.

Speaker 1 He's got some nice pop.

Speaker 5 They got to feed Woody more.

Speaker 1 Yeah, although I kind of like that

Speaker 1 they're doing the right thing by Nick Chubb being like, you are such a good player. We're still going to give you a.

Speaker 5 I think that's a, you're a great guy.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you're a great guy. We're going to give you 15 carries.
It's not going to look great. The other guy's going to have the pop.

Speaker 5 He's getting lifetime achievement touches. Yeah.
Everybody likes you, Nick Chubb. We won't completely sideline you.
Hey, remember Damian Pierce? Yes. What happened to Damian Pierce? No idea.

Speaker 1 Remember Joe Mixon?

Speaker 5 I do. What happened to Joe Mixon? Nobody knows.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 No one knows. Or any of them.
We don't. Yeah.
We actually don't know.

Speaker 5 Has anybody seen Joe Mixon? Is Joe Mixon still alive?

Speaker 1 What is actually the story?

Speaker 5 Find Joni.

Speaker 5 No one knows. Non-football injury, right?

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 5 Could be anything.

Speaker 1 And he's on the Texans, though.

Speaker 5 He is literally on the Texans.

Speaker 1 Do you have the Joe Mixon update?

Speaker 6 As right now, I just know he's coming. Oh, wow.

Speaker 1 What happened to your throat?

Speaker 6 A little bit of a voice issue.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Yeah.
Not good.

Speaker 1 What happened?

Speaker 6 I think it's just, I think it's really cold outside, so the vocal cords just freeze up a little.

Speaker 5 You've been inside today, though. All day.

Speaker 6 That's true. The stairwell does get a little frigid.

Speaker 1 So that's where you were right before?

Speaker 9 You're right.

Speaker 6 My theory there might just be destroyed.

Speaker 1 Well, you rocked out at Pup Punk. That could be it.
That could be it. Were you singing along?

Speaker 6 I was. They play some great songs over there at Pup Punk.

Speaker 1 That's okay.

Speaker 5 There was a moment. By the way, Zach is a fucking star.
Him and Jacob are both stars. Oh, the cream teeth.
The whole crowd started chanting for them. We got Jacob up on stage.

Speaker 5 He got his round of applause, and we were looking for Zach. The entire room was just chanting Zach, Zach, and he was nowhere to be found.
We had to look all over over for him.

Speaker 5 We dragged him out from the basement, got him on stage. Zach leans over to me.
He goes, He goes,

Speaker 1 We're in Iowa, right?

Speaker 5 I was like, Yeah, we're in Iowa. And he goes, What's up, Iowa?

Speaker 1 Nailed it into the mic. No, they're the best.
Do you know that they are Stephen LeBron? They were actually born in the same hospital.

Speaker 5 Yeah, it's crazy. Crazy.

Speaker 1 Crazy.

Speaker 5 Which hospital?

Speaker 1 What's up?

Speaker 5 What hospital?

Speaker 6 I need a stat correction on that because I think I reported to Jacob the wrong hospital.

Speaker 1 Oh, what? So that's on me. What hospital? What hospital?

Speaker 1 I don't think I had the right one.

Speaker 6 I think I may have been born either in the Newport News or the Chesterfield Hospital. One of those two.

Speaker 5 I think it's correct. You were born in Southeast Virginia, not North.

Speaker 5 Yes. Okay.
All right.

Speaker 1 That sounds like a...

Speaker 6 My parents lived in that county when we were babies, so I mixed that up.

Speaker 1 So that sounds like a Jacob, or Jacob asked you,

Speaker 1 and you're too nice to say,

Speaker 1 no, that's not the hospital I was born in.

Speaker 6 I just, no, I had the wrong one at the time. When he said it, that sounded right.
God, it was the county, not the hospital. Got it.

Speaker 5 Fairfax County Hospital.

Speaker 6 So I got to get hospitals down and family lineage down. Don't have that.

Speaker 1 Oh, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 Zach doesn't know where his family's from, country of origin.

Speaker 6 Not a lot of origin talk in the fam, no. No.

Speaker 1 Waffle House. Would you hear it? Waffle House family for sure.
Would you guess like England?

Speaker 6 I mean,

Speaker 6 that would make some sense for sure. Okay.

Speaker 1 You could see that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 I could see me looking like a lot of dudes in England. That would make sense.

Speaker 1 Finding out where Zach's from.

Speaker 1 By the way, did D'Amico Rines take a shot at us when everyone? He said the noise is just a lot of people who don't know what they're talking about. We understand the outside noise is just noise.

Speaker 1 We would never go ask anybody who's giving the noise their opinion about how to do game plan or how to play football.

Speaker 5 Bring the noise. We are the noise.

Speaker 1 We are the noise.

Speaker 5 Yeah, avoid the noise.

Speaker 1 I actually feel like we've been pretty fair. The Texans have been bad for the most part.
I don't know today they were going to be good.

Speaker 5 I don't think that we're noise. I think that anyone who watched that Monday Night Football game would make some noise after that.
Correct. Like, he was actually noise on my television.
Yes. On Monday.

Speaker 5 Yes.

Speaker 1 He made us stay up late.

Speaker 5 He made me want to avoid his noise. Yes.

Speaker 1 All facts. Okay, before we get to the next game, let's do a couple ads and then we will get to Hank, Patriots, and Browns.

Make your Irish entrance with proper number 12 Irish whiskey today.

Speaker 1 Okay, Patriots 32, Browns 13. Hank.
Yes.

Speaker 1 That was every Browns game ever.

Speaker 1 We said it a few weeks ago. The Browns do the same thing every single week.
Their defense is awesome in the first half.

Speaker 1 Then their defense can't stay on the field forever and their opponent kicks the shit out of them. They held the Patriots to three field goals in the first half.

Speaker 1 Then the Patriots absolutely whooped the shit out of them in the second half.

Speaker 3 Yeah, no, the defense was really, really good. It made Drake May look human.
He threw a pretty bad interception in the first half. But it was a good win.
He was getting the ball out quickly.

Speaker 3 He kind of adjusted to the pressure coming. He was getting the ball out quickly, still making accurate deep throws.
And it ended up being like a snoozer, no doubter, in the second half.

Speaker 3 But there was a solid portion of the first half where I was like,

Speaker 3 this feels a little sketchy.

Speaker 5 Yeah, you're playing with him a little bit. And then the Browns did a pretty hilarious move.
They caught a flea flicker that didn't work.

Speaker 5 And then they immediately followed it up with a double pass to Dylan Gabriel. They were trying to throw it back to him and then find somebody downfield.
That also didn't work.

Speaker 5 I think they did two gadget plays in a row for a total of two yards.

Speaker 5 yards, and we were hoping that they were just going to do all gadgets, just turn the entire Browns offense into nothing but gadgets.

Speaker 5 Because at that point, it's like they did not think that they could beat you with their offense.

Speaker 5 They were just hoping for like a couple fluke plays and then to have their defense maybe get a score at some point. And it looked like the Browns' defense is good enough to do stuff like that.

Speaker 5 They're good enough to keep you in games. But then after a while, they're just like, I don't know how much more dominant Miles Garrett could beat in the game.

Speaker 1 I really don't.

Speaker 5 Five sacks. He played like the most dominant game ever.
They were double teaming him. They were chipping him like every play.
He didn't care. He was going to get a sack.
And

Speaker 5 to get that from your defense and then just have nothing to do on offense was tough to watch.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Yeah.
Dylan Gabriel's terrible.

Speaker 1 Dylan Gabriel's terrible. So Miles Garrett had five sacks.
He is the 20th guy to do that since 1982. No other guy had their team lose by more than three points.

Speaker 1 Most of them won because if you're, if you're, if a defensive player gets five sacks, you're probably going to win the game. But the very worst was a loss by three.

Speaker 1 The Browns lost by 19. That just tells you how bad the Browns' offense is.
They had a good opening script, and then everything else after.

Speaker 1 Miles Garrett had more sacks than Dylan Gabriel's yards per attempt at four and a half.

Speaker 5 Yeah, it's tough. It's brutal.

Speaker 1 I don't know.

Speaker 1 He can't be the answer.

Speaker 5 After the game, Miles Garrett kind of little bro Drake May after getting beaten by Drake May. That's how good his game was.

Speaker 1 What did he say?

Speaker 5 He said, I think he's a great human being. I think he's a good quarterback who is soon to be a great quarterback.
I like how he's grown. It's nice to be a part of his journey.

Speaker 5 Hate to be on this end of it, but it's nice to see how he's leading his team. He's helped them rebuild into what they are now.
In a way, I'm proud of him, and I'm happy to see his success.

Speaker 1 Hell yeah.

Speaker 5 Almost like, I don't know if that's a little broad as much as it's just like...

Speaker 1 That's a respect.

Speaker 1 Like,

Speaker 5 I think he would like to play for a quarterback like Drake May May at some point. Yeah.

Speaker 3 That's a respect. That's a respect quote.
Yeah.

Speaker 5 You see Matt Collins win as Miles Garrett's sweatpants for Halloween? Yeah. You see how he showed up to the game? Yeah.
Can you pull up that video of Matt Collins?

Speaker 3 Speaking of Little Bros. He showed up as a

Speaker 5 Miles Garrett sweatpants. Look at him.

Speaker 1 There he is. Look at that.
It's on the screen.

Speaker 3 I know what he showed up as.

Speaker 1 It's a chest penis. You see, he looks like a big penis.
He's walking diagonally. He looks like a penis.

Speaker 5 Yeah. Looked like it's a bishop, yeah.

Speaker 1 In terms of little broing quotes, Mike Vrabel's quote has to hurt a little for the Browns. He said, when their gimmick plays ran out, we played pretty good defense.
And that's exactly what happened.

Speaker 5 Well, the gimmick plays didn't even work. Yeah.

Speaker 1 But when they ran out, they were in a real big trouble.

Speaker 5 That's what the Browns should do. They should sit down this week and go through the history of every gimmick play ever run in the NFL and just do nothing but gimmicks.
All gadgets on offense.

Speaker 5 Give it a shot. Fumble Ruski.
Or at least start four times in a row.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Laterals.
They'll never expect it the fourth time. Yeah.

Speaker 5 Or start Shadur because I don't know if Shador is going to be any better, but you might as well, right?

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 5 Like, what's the point of not starting Shadur? Maybe he's bad and you won't get a draft pick for him.

Speaker 1 I don't know.

Speaker 1 I can't come up with a real reason anymore.

Speaker 5 I don't think the Browns can either.

Speaker 1 I don't think so. They're just, they play the same game every single week.
It's the exact same game every single week. Hank, Jack May, are you gay for May?

Speaker 1 Yeah. Okay, because I saw that our one Nick Fasoli had that quote.
And then I think we have those shirts in the Barcelona store. We're selling those shirts.

Speaker 3 They're gay for May.

Speaker 5 Probably flying off the shelves.

Speaker 1 Will you be buying one?

Speaker 3 Yeah. I like Feidelberg.
Feidelberg came out with a Gotta Love the Drake Seinfeld.

Speaker 3 I like those shirts, too.

Speaker 5 We should put out our Drake May shirt.

Speaker 1 We could. That's really gay for May.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 But yeah, Drake May has been.

Speaker 3 You actually, you're such a weird dude.

Speaker 1 Who? 50. Yeah.

Speaker 3 You're so obsessed with him.

Speaker 5 I'm obsessed with Drake May.

Speaker 3 And that picture and everything.

Speaker 5 I honestly haven't thought about that picture since last football season. Or whenever we threatened to put it out.
I just like threatening to put it out on you.

Speaker 3 Do you think about that picture?

Speaker 1 I mean, the Dominoes have started to happen where it's, you know, the Bears fucked up taking Caleb instead of Jaden, and the Commanders fucked up taking Jaden instead of Drake.

Speaker 5 That's not true at all. Drake May is a lot of noise out of concern.

Speaker 1 You are good.

Speaker 5 You're a part of the noise. This is the noise.

Speaker 3 You guys want to do some stat talk?

Speaker 1 Go ahead. Do some stat talk, Hank.

Speaker 3 Patriots QB Drake May is now the fifth player in NFL history to produce 200-plus passing yards and 100-plus pass rating in seven consecutive games, joining Aaron Rodgers, Pat Mahomes, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning.

Speaker 1 Pretty damn good. That's very good.
Pretty damn good.

Speaker 3 And the other one I liked was

Speaker 3 Browns D.C. Jim Schwartz has coached 49 regular and postseason games in Cleveland.

Speaker 3 Drake May's 54.5 dropback success rate against the Browns is second best QB game against this defense in Schwartz's tenure.

Speaker 5 Yeah, Drake May's having an awesome year.

Speaker 5 He leads the ENFL in passer rating. It's 116.4.
He leads the NFL in completion percentage, 75.2%.

Speaker 5 Insanely impressive. See, I don't have to put others down to build myself up.
I think Drake, I'm a big Drake May stand.

Speaker 1 Who puts someone down?

Speaker 5 Yeah. I'm just saying, like, I think that Drake May is a great quarterback.
And much like Miles Garrett, I'm just happy to be a part of his journey.

Speaker 1 That's nice of you. Yeah.

Speaker 3 See if Rabel's bringing back individual player warm-ups? No. Announcements?

Speaker 1 What do you mean?

Speaker 3 They, since 2001, did the we're coming out as a team. And today, Vrabel said we're going to start going back to individually announcing players.
I think our players will like it. Huh?

Speaker 1 Oh, huge. Do you like it?

Speaker 3 Yeah, Vrabel's doing it. I like it.
Then you like it.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah,

Speaker 1 Drake May looks awesome.

Speaker 1 There's nothing really you can say. He's not had, outside of the first game of the season, he hasn't had really a bad game yet.

Speaker 3 Yeah, and he had a bad pick today. He showed he was human, and other than that, it was great.
He said he forgot

Speaker 3 he didn't see the guy in front of him and forgot he could jump.

Speaker 1 Ah, that's actually very funny.

Speaker 3 That happens, yeah.

Speaker 1 That's the quote of a quarterback who has not thrown a lot of picks this year. When you can make fun, when you can joke about your pick, things are going well.

Speaker 1 Tua's not saying that joke. Although he kind of did when he said he was too short.

Speaker 1 Tua shouldn't make that joke, I should say. Yeah, but he will.
Yeah. Oh, well, speaking of which, oh, Travion Henderson also looked good, Hank.
They did. Yeah.
Bad fumble. Bad fumble.
Bad fumble.

Speaker 1 Bad fumble. Speaking of which, Tua is back.
Dolphins 34, Falcons 10. This was a

Speaker 1 shocking result.

Speaker 4 Yeah, very.

Speaker 1 Because it wasn't.

Speaker 1 You know, Kirk Cousins playing.

Speaker 1 I thought Kirk Cousins still could do something. I was wrong about that in terms of the offense.

Speaker 1 The Falcons' offense basically

Speaker 1 never got going. And it was, I think, four of their first drives, five drives were three and outs.
And then when they did get going, it was 17-3, and Bijan fumbled in the red zone.

Speaker 5 And it was more shocking that the Falcons couldn't run the ball against the league's worst-run defense, and that the Dolphins played bully ball and ran it down the falcons throat yeah that was it was a weird game script for the falcons because they were down they were down pretty big at halftime but i don't think they were down big enough to stop running the football yeah if it was 17-3 without a doubt your best player is bijan robinson if you're down 17-3 that's not you're not in panic mode yet yeah and i do feel like the the falcons went into panic mode but this is the dolphins are not i don't think that they're a confusing football team the falcons are very confusing oh the i'm because you can't time if you think that you can time the Falcons, you can't.

Speaker 1 I'm done with the Falcons. Hashtag done.
I can't take them as a serious team after this game. I'm sorry.
I wanted to believe in them this year.

Speaker 1 Yes, Drake London was out, but you can't lose 34-10 to the Miami Dolphins who are reeling to a point where they just got absolutely killed by the Browns.

Speaker 1 And the sky has been falling for two months for the Dolphins. And then they come into your house and just bully you.
Yeah. Can't do it.

Speaker 5 The formula for the Dolphins is actually very clear. Lost, lost, lost, win.
Lost, lost, lost, win. Okay.
And next up, they're playing the Ravens.

Speaker 1 Loss, probably.

Speaker 5 The Bills

Speaker 1 loss.

Speaker 5 And then the Commanders in Spain lost, you say, lost. Loss.

Speaker 5 And then they play the Saints. Win.

Speaker 1 Win.

Speaker 5 Lost, lost, lost, win. Lost, lost, lost, win.

Speaker 1 So Mike McDaniel just has to just hold on, hold his Capri's as tight as he can for the next three weeks.

Speaker 5 He was wearing them today?

Speaker 1 He was, I think. I think we had a double.
I think it was a Capri off. Is it Capri off?

Speaker 5 Well,

Speaker 5 we also had Tua showing up with some sort of eye infection. Yeah.

Speaker 5 Did he have pink eye?

Speaker 1 I don't know, but he had to wear sunglasses before the game inside, and then he had to wear a visor during the game. And it kind of was swaggy.
It looked good. Threw four touchdowns.

Speaker 5 I think he might have pink eye. I think it's ass eating season.

Speaker 5 Was this...

Speaker 1 I mean, he didn't throw an interception. No.

Speaker 5 And he could only, one of the eyes looked like it was swollen shut. Yeah, maybe he's like a sniper.

Speaker 1 He's got to close one of his eyes to start throwing not to the other team.

Speaker 5 Or maybe that was the bad eye.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 But yeah, it was a good game for the Dolphins. I don't really know.

Speaker 1 They've been so bad that if you're a Dolphins fan, I guess you could celebrate this, although it feels like you have to change everything.

Speaker 1 But you still kick the shit out of them.

Speaker 5 This is one of those nice surprise pop-up wins that you get. Big time.

Speaker 5 Yeah, you get a good pop-up win, and then you move on, then you deal with whoever's next, and then ultimately ultimately, you hope that whatever happens this season, it's going to result in the firing of everybody in the front office that you do not like.

Speaker 1 Yeah, it's a pop-up win, and for the Falcons, it's a I can't take you guys seriously win. Loss, excuse me, loss.

Speaker 1 Because I still don't understand how they didn't run the ball.

Speaker 5 Yeah, it doesn't make sense, right? Like, I think a lot of teams you might abandon the run at that point, but you're playing against the Dolphins that have a history of blowing these types of leads.

Speaker 1 Here are the QB1s, or sorry, RB1s versus the Dolphins this year: Quinchon Judkins, 84 yards, three touchdowns. Kamani Vidal, 138 yards, one touchdown.
Rico Dottle, 234, one touchdown.

Speaker 1 Brees Hall, 111 yards. James Cook, 118 yards.
Ramonde Stevenson, 142 yards. Bijan Robinson, 14 yards.

Speaker 1 They just.

Speaker 1 Maybe they were able to sell out for the run because Kirk Cousins was the quarterback and also Drake London was out. But man, that was a...
It wasn't a fluky game. It was,

Speaker 1 they bullied him.

Speaker 5 I think Bijan is good enough where even if they're selling, you, you keep trying. Yeah.
You don't just completely forget about them. No, I agree.

Speaker 1 It's, it was, it was a shocking, shocking result because if you had told me the Falcons lost in a last-second field goal or something like that, and there were some weird things that happened, I could buy it because the Falcons are in that middle ground of they haven't shown they're a good team yet.

Speaker 1 But to lose 34 to 10 to the Dolphins.

Speaker 5 You just got your ass kicked. And for a long time, they had three points.

Speaker 1 It was like, what was that, 27 yeah to three yeah i actually think when you're looking at a game like that three points looks sadder than zero points yeah because at some at some time along the way you kick you you compromised and you kicked a sad field goal and i'm i'm i'm down to just say that it was maybe it's maybe the fact that tua had the visor because after the game jalen waddle said i thought it was kind of swaggy he looked different he went out there and played a great game we always need that out of our captain our leader maybe it's you know you're in a marriage for a long time and then your husband or wife comes home wearing something different.

Speaker 1 New haircut. Yeah, new haircut.
Oh, shit. New haircut.

Speaker 5 Cut it short. This is different.
Real quick, Hank just gave a fist pump because Tucker Kraft scored a touchdown. Hank, did you have Tucker Kraft?

Speaker 1 He didn't, yeah. He's in what.
He's a T parlay that didn't hit.

Speaker 5 He's in what, Hank?

Speaker 3 Well, yeah, that lost, but I bet him otherwise, too. There you go.
Tight end day.

Speaker 1 National tight end day.

Speaker 3 Is that okay?

Speaker 1 Oh, I thought that maybe

Speaker 5 you had bet on Tucker Kraft and you didn't know if the other guys had scored.

Speaker 1 No, I knew. Okay.

Speaker 1 You weren't. You're saying maybe because he wasn't waiting? I didn't say that.

Speaker 3 Yeah, I took a nap in the four o'clock game.

Speaker 1 You took a nap in the four o'clock game. That was always the plan.
That was a plan. That was always the plan.

Speaker 3 I came in.

Speaker 3 I honestly felt good.

Speaker 3 I was fine during the Patriots game. I took a little nap, drank a delicious, this Stella Blue

Speaker 3 Caffey Mocha. There you go, Hank.
Brought me right back to life, and now I'm good for the show.

Speaker 1 I needed a two-hour nap.

Speaker 3 If that's wrong, wrong, sue me. Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 5 What was the cash out for that? Would that pay out?

Speaker 1 What? Tucker Kraft.

Speaker 5 Anytime touchdown.

Speaker 1 I don't know.

Speaker 1 Oh, I think it's like plus 150 to 150 to 1. Nice.

Speaker 1 One and a half to one.

Speaker 1 Can I not bet on a guy's to score touchdowns? You bet him. He's so fucking weird.
You can bet on whatever you want.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, I bet him too. Yeah.
Yeah. It's huge.

Speaker 4 What, Max? Nothing. And he just keeps looking at me.
I have nothing to do with this.

Speaker 1 I feel like I'm missing something, too.

Speaker 1 Hank,

Speaker 1 I want to hear about the bachelor party when we get to the afternoon games. Okay.
Okay.

Speaker 1 The last early game was Bills 40, Panthers 9.

Speaker 5 Ass kicking.

Speaker 1 This was just the James Cook game. He had 153 yards at halftime.
He had 216 yards in the entire game.

Speaker 1 He was so good. The Dolphins.
I actually, you know what? My big takeaway from this game is

Speaker 1 I blame Joe Flacco.

Speaker 1 I blame Joe Flacco for being old and being able to still do it and having guys like Andy Dalton still think they can do it. Andy Dalton.
Because he can't. He hasn't.
Kirk Cousins, same way. You can't.

Speaker 5 Before the car accident, Andy Dalton looked okay. I know.

Speaker 1 He did. I watched Andy Dalton in this game.
He can't do it. Like, Joe Flacco has set a bad example.
You're not Joe Flacco.

Speaker 5 Kirk Cousins, yeah.

Speaker 5 That entire generation. It's like it maybe.

Speaker 1 Joe's the guy.

Speaker 5 Joe's the guy. He's an anomaly.
Everyone thinks that they can be like Joe. They can't.
You're not Joe.

Speaker 1 It was sad watching.

Speaker 5 Hit a very, very comical fumble.

Speaker 1 Very comical fumble. A couple sacks, a couple bad clock management.
It was just a bummer to watch the Panthers.

Speaker 1 I actually think Meow Mix guys should bring their podcast back right now because you got absolutely killed.

Speaker 1 And the Bills, because we kind of forgot about them, they lost two games in a row, went on by, played the Panthers.

Speaker 1 They They played some good run defense today, which that, you know, Rico Daddle and Hubbard are a good running game, and the Bills did a good job against the run.

Speaker 1 And James Cook continues to be awesome. And Josh Allen smiled.
Yeah, he was happy. He smiled after the game, so his grandma was happy again.

Speaker 5 He was very happy. Shout out to Nana.

Speaker 5 This game was, it's more along the same lines of what Buffalo just does after bye weeks. Yeah.
So they're now 9-0 after the bye with McDermott.

Speaker 5 They average, but going into today, 27.5 points, 352 total yards, and their defense steps up to after the bye. They allow 17.6 points per game.

Speaker 5 And then they also forced, in the past, 17 takeaways today.

Speaker 5 Obviously, they scored a lot more points than what their average was. Their defense looked great too.

Speaker 5 I'll be interested to see if they can hang on to this, if this is now the bills that we should expect. Yeah.
Or if they just played Andy Dalton.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 5 I don't know which one it is, but whatever they were doing today looked really, really good.

Speaker 1 Yeah, it looked very, very good. Easy win, needed kind of one of those easy wins to get back on track.
Because remember, we were saying it, the Bills' two losses,

Speaker 1 it wasn't just the two losses, it was the games before that where they kind of struggled a little bit with the Saints, they kind of struggled a little bit with the Dolphins, where it didn't look like clean.

Speaker 1 This one looked clean,

Speaker 1 James Cook was off. James Cook was so good.
That was the fourth time in NFL history a player has had 215-plus rushing yards and two touchdowns with under 20 carries.

Speaker 1 That's pretty crazy. That's really good.
Yeah, so Bobby Mitchell in 1959, Bo Jackson in 1987, Derrick Henry in 2018. Pretty cool company.

Speaker 5 That is very cool, especially considering that the Carolina Panthers defense was good against the run for the last three weeks. Right.

Speaker 1 They were very good against the run. And they were able to run the ball.

Speaker 1 And so this one was,

Speaker 1 yeah,

Speaker 1 the Bills, it was a no-doubter. Just the easiest game possible.

Speaker 1 Even the beginning of the game, it looked like the Panthers would maybe hang because they were forcing the Bills to work really hard for their yards.

Speaker 1 Like it was 3-0 after the first quarter, and then James Cook broke it all open. It's like, all right, forget that.

Speaker 5 That was not going to happen. This is a good thing to happen to the Bills going into this weekend.
Who are they playing? They got the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 Oh.

Speaker 5 We got our Bills-Chiefs game in Buffalo. Ooh.

Speaker 1 Maybe a little snow?

Speaker 5 I don't know what the forecast is.

Speaker 5 I hope not. I'd like to see the lake get involved a little bit.
We don't need snow.

Speaker 3 Whose line is it anyway? Whose line is it anyway?

Speaker 1 DraftKings Swiss.

Speaker 5 We don't know.

Speaker 3 That doesn't matter, yeah, because I'm Monday.

Speaker 1 Yeah, but they'll still probably put one out.

Speaker 5 I'm going to guess right now it is Bills minus

Speaker 1 two and a half. Three.

Speaker 1 It is Bills plus. Ooh.

Speaker 1 That will

Speaker 3 probably shift depending on.

Speaker 1 You think when the commanders cover?

Speaker 5 When the commanders win.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Outright.
The commanders win.

Speaker 5 That line shifted today.

Speaker 5 Somebody knows something. It's down to 11.5.

Speaker 1 Would that...

Speaker 5 Oh, okay. Yeah.
Someone knows something.

Speaker 1 10 and a half. 10 and a half.
It shifted again. I mean, Terry's back.
Oh, so. Tebo's back.

Speaker 5 There's, yeah. Someone's got some info.

Speaker 1 Shit's about to get wild.

Speaker 1 Marcus.

Speaker 1 Okay,

Speaker 1 let's do a couple more ads and we'll do the afternoon games and then we'll talk Sunday night football.

Speaker 1 Okay, afternoon games. Bucks 23, Saints 3.

Speaker 1 I'm going to actually, I'm going to start with Hank. Hank.
Yes. Favorite moment from this game?

Speaker 3 From this game?

Speaker 3 Didn't see a single playoff.

Speaker 1 What did you think about Tyler Shuck?

Speaker 3 He was shocking it up out there.

Speaker 1 He got in.

Speaker 3 It's kind of corny, yeah. They finally made the move.

Speaker 1 Kellen Moore finally made the move. Bench Spencer Rattler.

Speaker 1 How was the nap? Let's talk about your bachelor party because it was probably the most

Speaker 1 aggressive bachelor party trip, like scheduling. And I say that in like a

Speaker 1 partial jealousy. I think I would have died.

Speaker 1 But if you're a little younger, it was maybe the coolest planned bachelor party I've ever heard of. And you are paying for it today.

Speaker 3 Big time, yeah.

Speaker 3 Shout out to my buddy Zach. He's in the music industry.
It It was his bachelor party. He went to Virginia Tech.
But yeah, I mean, we've spent, I lived on a tour bus.

Speaker 3 We've done a lot of these trips, and we've had RVs. This RV that we were on was like the nicest RV I've ever seen in my life.
It was like a legitimate.

Speaker 3 There were 12 dudes sleeping on it perfectly fine.

Speaker 3 We started in Nashville Thursday night.

Speaker 3 Didn't leave till like 1 a.m. So we got to Nashville, had some drinks.

Speaker 3 Everyone was filing in, got on the bus, drove to Blacksburg, Virginia. Because it was, Zach went to Virginia Tech.

Speaker 1 How long was that drive?

Speaker 3 A big majority hokies.

Speaker 3 I don't, seven hours, eight hours. We were playing dice, playing cards.
Like, it was the first night. It was the classic, like, you go way too hard on night one.

Speaker 3 Finally fell asleep on the bus, woke up. We were at, woke up at a golf course, and it was like, hey, wake up.
We're teen off in 20 minutes.

Speaker 5 If you had to redo night one, you'd probably go to sleep a little bit earlier. I'll try to sleep a little bit earlier on Friday.
Or maybe just

Speaker 1 go on Friday morning to.

Speaker 1 Well, it was hard.

Speaker 3 It was a hard. It wasn't easy.
It was like,

Speaker 3 we golfed at 9 a.m. So it's like, you know, you can't miss that.
No, you're right.

Speaker 3 But yeah, it was like starting. I was like, all right, well, I'm kind of hungover.
Like, might as well start drinking early.

Speaker 3 Great round of golf, beautiful golf course. And then we went, again, it was all Virginia Tech in, so they're all excited to go out, hit the town before the game, go to Blacksburg.

Speaker 3 25-year anniversary of Enter Sammy. No, awesome.

Speaker 1 So you went to the game Friday night.

Speaker 3 Went to the game Friday night. went out after.
We didn't leave till 2 a.m. Like, we left, we went to the bars so the bars closed, and then got on the bus and left.
They have this drink.

Speaker 3 I think the place is called Tots, and it's called a Rail. And it's like everyone at college towns is like, Oh, you got to try this drink.
It's the best drink. It'll, you know, get you so fucked up.

Speaker 3 And it's like, yeah, every college bar says that. Probably not that big a deal.

Speaker 3 I have, and I think I had two of them. Yep.
I have never in my life. Then I woke up

Speaker 3 Saturday. I'm like, don't hear anyone anyone on the bus.
I'm like, oh, everyone must be still sleeping. Like, we're probably not even there yet.
I get up. Everyone was gone.

Speaker 3 Everyone's off the bus already. And where are you now? We're in Columbia, South Carolina.

Speaker 1 The rail is. In a parking lot.

Speaker 1 The rail is, that's a very true story about the rail.

Speaker 5 Everybody has two rails their first time because they've heard about this drink. And then who knows what happens for the rest of the night? And then they're like, I'm never having two rails again.

Speaker 5 Except when they have a friend in town, they're like, you got to try the rails. Then their friend has two rails.
Yeah.

Speaker 3 And it was, it was like, I legitimately felt like my head was like four times as big as it was supposed to be the next morning. Like, I thought it was going to explode.

Speaker 3 Like, I actually thought my head was going to explode. Uh, everyone, they had got one hotel room so people could shower, but that hotel room was like a 40-minute walk from where the bus was.

Speaker 3 So I was like, I'm not showering. Like, that the showering, I didn't shower the entire weekend.
Uh,

Speaker 3 and after about an hour of like, I was legitimately just like lying on the ground on the pavement in the sun, like moaning and groaning every time I moved.

Speaker 3 And finally, like I took some, some Advil. Like finally, I was like, all right, I can, like,

Speaker 3 think.

Speaker 3 And then I just started drinking again. Went to South Carolina, which is beautiful, beautiful school.
Beautiful, one of the only SEC schools I haven't really been to.

Speaker 3 Reminded me a lot of LSU in terms of like the, it's kind of in the middle of nowhere. Little bit sketchy, but like an awesome college town.

Speaker 3 Logistically one of the worst places to leave I've ever been to. It's kind of like Soldier Field.
Like,

Speaker 3 we left the game. It was like

Speaker 3 the bar we were trying to go to is a mile and a half away. It was going to take two hours to drive.

Speaker 5 You were part of Cocktober, though.

Speaker 3 We were part of Cocktober. I went on the,

Speaker 3 what was it called? The Cockaboose. There's a

Speaker 3 train right outside the stadium that like, you know, like donors like pay a bunch of money to have this little, like, basically like a private little, you know, train living room with TV area that's like literally one second outside the stadium.

Speaker 3 The cockaboose, that was fun. Oh, did they do Sandstorm? Sandstorm was electric.
They did Sandstorm like 20 times.

Speaker 3 Sandstorm is is one of the, I was thinking about Sandstorm is one of the greatest, like, dudes. Like, it gets the boys.
Yeah, yeah. Like, it is one of the most for the boys songs ever.

Speaker 5 Can you compare it to Inner Sandman? What hit harder?

Speaker 3 I like Sandstorm more. Like, I love Sandstorm just brings me back to just like, you know, being in a basement with my boys, just blasting Sandstorm dudes only and just going nuts.

Speaker 3 And that was like the same type of vibe.

Speaker 5 They should make a mashup, Inner Sandstorm. Yeah.

Speaker 1 So, so you went, so you went to South Carolina, Alabama.

Speaker 3 South Carolina, Alabama. Great game.
And obviously, like, when they play in the bachelor trip in the summer, it was like just going to be a top 10 matchup. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Still was a great game. Still was a great game.

Speaker 3 South Carolina choked. Yeah, they almost did it.
It would have been like you.

Speaker 3 It is funny and it's kind of fucked up, but it's like, and I don't, because I we bet South Carolina, but it's like the vibe. It is funny how much different a vibe is

Speaker 3 after

Speaker 3 a game where like if they won that game, like oh, yeah, the town would have burned on fire. And then everyone was like, kind of sad.
People were, we went up to the bars after.

Speaker 3 It was still like, still a great time, but it was, it would have been probably 10 times crazier if they had won that game. I have a question, Hank.

Speaker 5 Yes. Is South Carolina the most random state in the country?

Speaker 3 I think it might be, yeah.

Speaker 5 That was Hank's tweet from over the weekend. So random.

Speaker 5 South Carolina, the most random state.

Speaker 1 South Carolina has the top.

Speaker 1 If I had gone there, all I'd ever wear is the Palmetto logo.

Speaker 1 That logo is awesome.

Speaker 3 But yeah, I was just like, why? Well, and again, I was

Speaker 3 obliterated drunk. And I was like, why am I in South Carolina? Like, what is South Carolina?

Speaker 5 South Carolina, it's a lot of fun, yeah, but it's very rant.

Speaker 3 Like, it's not like, what is it definitely?

Speaker 1 South Carolina is very notable places.

Speaker 5 Yeah, it does. Charleston, extremely notable.

Speaker 5 Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 3 But it's all, that's like those are all transplant cities to me.

Speaker 4 But it's still like, there's, there are ways.

Speaker 1 Notable places in the states. Yeah, I mean,

Speaker 5 there's a lot of old money that's in Charleston, like families that have lived there for generations. Idaho.
There's also a lot of people that moved there, though.

Speaker 1 Yeah. The Murdochs.

Speaker 5 Yeah, the Murdochs, yeah. Some of them still live there.

Speaker 3 And then, yeah, same thing. We went out till the bars closed, went out after.

Speaker 5 It's also like a great golf state. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Great golf state. Maybe the top five golf state.

Speaker 3 Yeah, no, I mean, it was just raining.

Speaker 3 That was my vibe.

Speaker 3 And then

Speaker 3 I woke up. And I thought the original plan was like, you know, we'll be at the airport at like 7.38.
I'm like, oh, we're on a bus. Like, there's no way I miss this flight.

Speaker 3 I'm getting dropped off of the airport. Like, it would be impossible.

Speaker 3 And I woke up and I checked my phone. My flight boarded at 8.50.
And I checked my phone. We're still driving.
It's like 8.30. I'm like, uh.

Speaker 1 Oh.

Speaker 3 Are we close? Like, yeah, we're pulling up in 10 minutes. And then I got into security.

Speaker 3 I'll send you guys a picture. It was one of the scariest.
I was like, there's 0% chance I'm making this flight. Like, actually, 0%.

Speaker 1 Memes was going around on Friday being like, we won't see him until Monday.

Speaker 3 No, yeah. I felt, and like, I was, again, like, I just woken up 10 minutes ago.
I was, like, couldn't even, you know,

Speaker 3 I think I left like half of my shit on the bus. Like, I literally woke up, just like, grabbed whatever bag I could find, got to the airport.
I basically like finessed my way through the line.

Speaker 3 I went through pre-check, even though I'm not, don't have pre-check. Uh, like, I got to the point where, like, I'm just going to try and fucking bum rush my way onto this flight.

Speaker 3 Did they let you through? Still, yeah, I just, like, kind of was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, pre-check. I was like, yep, and just, like, kind of like strong, strong walked my way through.

Speaker 3 Uh, and it was so much chaos going on it was like one of those like they probably were like hey hey hey and i just kind of kept walking and then no one stopped me uh as a pre-check guy myself now i need to report you and and uh and so so that that was it the the guys all went home then well half there was yeah there was like six of us that went to the airport and then like i think six or seven strong soldiers uh went from the airport to the falcons dolphins unreal no one's from atlanta no one's from miami three games i was laughing so hard in the caves looking at the game, being like, they're at this game right now.

Speaker 3 And they were like, yeah, it was, they were, I can't imagine the state that they're in right now.

Speaker 5 So nobody showered on the bus.

Speaker 3 No one, there wasn't, there wasn't a shower on the bus. No shit on the bus, no shower on the bus.
I shit like two times the entire weekend.

Speaker 1 It was a blast.

Speaker 3 Yeah, I mean, it was, it was, it was, and everyone, like, everyone that was on the bus, like, everyone gave it their all.

Speaker 3 It's like, you know, older guys, you know, kids, and like, no one, everyone just, everyone gave it their all. And like, I've had, I've slept on a bus before, like, I've, I've done that.

Speaker 3 There was a lot of the guys I like couldn't sleep because they were on a moving bus. I were like, I didn't sleep.

Speaker 1 So, I, this might be uh Instagram story, close friends, if I'm talking out of turn, but it was a very funny

Speaker 1 picture that you put up. It was maybe like Saturday at like

Speaker 1 two o'clock, and Hank just posted a picture of him on the bus with like five dudes. He's like, I've been on this bus for way too long to not know half these guys

Speaker 1 it's like you meet everyone the first time yeah and then it was like yeah we went out friday and then saturday i was like looking around i was like fuck you played golf with him he's like dude i don't know who you are yeah no the guys no the guys i played i played it with two three other guys or two other guys because zach was one of them and i knew those guys names and everyone else it was like my guy yeah and there he is you know that you learn their names like the night before yeah and then the morning comes you're like shit we can't do anything about it we got to read this up yeah

Speaker 3 but yeah it was it was a fucking blast.

Speaker 3 It was, yeah, it was just, it was a great, it was a great bastard trip. It was, it was pretty fucking random.
And, like, it was funny seeing AWS is being like, why are you in fucking Blacksburg?

Speaker 1 And then why are you in Columbia just traveling the world? All right, that was our Bucks Saints recap. Yeah.

Speaker 1 I don't know. The Bucs fucking killed the Saints.

Speaker 5 Tyler Chuck season.

Speaker 1 I think I picked a great time to nap by the time. Yeah, oh yeah, no, you didn't miss anything.
Missing nothing. This entire Sunday was nap Sunday.

Speaker 5 The only thing about this game that stood out was that when Antoine Winfield returned for a touchdown, and then the refs were like, yeah, there was a whistle.

Speaker 5 Somebody blew a whistle, but we don't know who did it.

Speaker 5 So, yeah, that's not going to be a touchdown for the Bucs. Yeah, the only thing.
It didn't really matter.

Speaker 5 It's also very funny to imagine the refs saying that in the Superdome, when there's a guy in the front row wearing a giant whistle as a helmet, it's

Speaker 5 real life Tim Robinson. It's definitely the whistleman.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah. The only thing I wrote down from this game was: one, the Bucs offense didn't look great, especially at goal line.
I think they got stopped stopped seven times. It was bad, yeah.

Speaker 1 And then Levante David just needs a shout out because the fact that he's still doing it and 35 years old. You don't hear about 35-year-old linebackers very often.
And he is.

Speaker 1 10 tackles, force fumble. It's insane.
2012 draft class. So, yeah.

Speaker 5 I mean, this game sucks. And also, shout out to Jason Light for After the Game.

Speaker 5 He posted a video on Twitter of Cam Jordan talking about how the Bucs were going to go back to being the Bucs after Tom Brady left.

Speaker 1 Oh. And now

Speaker 5 I don't think that they've lost to the Bucs since that video. No,

Speaker 1 the Bucs have won the division, I think, every single year. Yeah, but like the last five years.
It's L-I-C-H-T, Max, not spelled light. It's okay.

Speaker 5 I mean, the Bucs haven't lost to the Saints, I think, since that video. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah, let's see this.

Speaker 1 Probably go back to, you know,

Speaker 1 the Temple Bay will probably go back to where Tampa Bay is men will go back to. Yeah,

Speaker 1 that's some good salt right there. These teams hate each other.

Speaker 5 Yeah, I like that. This was a domination, like an absolute,

Speaker 1 there was never a doubt. It was just the Bucs defense was phenomenal.

Speaker 5 I think we'll always have the Spencer Rattler. He's not that, he's not as bad as you think moments.

Speaker 1 I had it.

Speaker 5 Today was thinking it was that he was not good today.

Speaker 1 No, I was thinking it for when he said, I feel like I'm playing winning football. I was like, you know what? He's kind of right.
And

Speaker 1 no, that's not true anymore.

Speaker 1 He is not playing winning football, and it might be Tyler Schuck time. Officially, Tyler Schuck did not look better.
He had a nice drive when

Speaker 1 the game was completely out of hand, and it was

Speaker 1 garbage time.

Speaker 5 Yeah, he looked like

Speaker 5 a taller Jake Hainer. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Hank, do you think that you were sleeping with your mouth too open?

Speaker 3 No. Okay.

Speaker 1 All right.

Speaker 5 Now, I don't want to be a part of gotcha culture. Okay.

Speaker 1 Yeah, no,

Speaker 3 we're doing close friends, exposes. We're doing a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 Well, that was a funny game. That That was a fair shit.
That's fine. That's fine.
That was a very funny.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 5 So I came in the studio during the afternoon games to work on putting some prep together. And I walked in.
It was dark.

Speaker 5 It looked like it was a laser tag game or something because we had all the lights off except for some glowing blue lights and some red ones. And Zach and Memes were sitting there in silence.

Speaker 5 I walked in. They both looked at me like, what's going on? Then I realized Hank was on the couch.
So they were actually giving a cozy little nap space for Hank. Yeah.

Speaker 3 They were like, you want to turn turn lights? I was like, No, you can keep them on and memes. No, no, we'll turn them off.
It looks super cozy.

Speaker 5 So I walked in, and then I was wearing the glasses that have the camera on it. So I just wanted to document walking in for the first time.

Speaker 1 So it wasn't even your fault.

Speaker 5 It wasn't my fault. The glasses.
I turn them on every time I walk in this room.

Speaker 1 It looks like an actual dead body on the couch.

Speaker 1 That's a man who went on a hell of a battle. It was Marty,

Speaker 1 That's a man who partied hard.

Speaker 5 And during the afternoon games, Hank would wake up occasionally and just like pop up and go, oh, fuck the Colts.

Speaker 1 And then lay back and go back to sleep.

Speaker 1 Oh, man. I'm not going to lie.
I'm impressed with the way that you're doing better than I thought. You're doing way better than I would be doing right now.

Speaker 3 I agree. Like,

Speaker 3 I fell asleep on the plane again. I had to apologize.
And I got on the plane so late. Like, it was boarding.
It was already boarded. So I had to, and, and they were, like, all, everything was shut.

Speaker 3 I basically got in with a minute left before they closed the door. So I was in, like, 10.
My row is 10. And I had to put my bag all the way in the back in like row 40.

Speaker 3 So I had to, we landed, and I just had to wait for every single person to clear off so I could then go get my bag. But I came in there.
I felt rested. I was like, I'm going to

Speaker 3 watch this Patriots game, fight for the Patriots game. You were alert.
And then I took a nap. Yeah.
And now I'm back. I feel like

Speaker 1 you do.

Speaker 1 I planned it out well. Yeah, you did.
Okay, next game. Cowboys, another one that was a blow.
Cowboys 44. Broncos 24.

Speaker 1 The Broncos finally put together a full game.

Speaker 1 Their offense, it looked even at the beginning when Bonix threw that pick early, you're like, uh-oh, are they going to do the fuck-around thing? Nope, they did not do the fuck around thing.

Speaker 1 Bonics threw the ball everywhere, four touchdowns.

Speaker 1 R.J. Harvey had three touchdowns.
The Cowboys' defense is just so, so bad.

Speaker 5 So, yeah, the Broncos' running game looked incredible today. Yeah.
They were getting whatever they wanted. So, J.K.
Dobbins had seven and a half yards per carry. R.J.

Speaker 5 Harvey had six and a half yards per carry. Mims even had six yards per carry.
It was just dominant. And Quinn Miners was just steam-rolling dudes out there.

Speaker 5 He was just, the pancake reel of Quinn Miners Miners from this game is going to be incredible to watch because they were just getting their big boys downhill.

Speaker 5 And Sean Payton was, he was enjoying, he was enjoying just physically dominating the Cowboys' defense. And then Michael Irvin said it pretty good.

Speaker 5 He said, this cannot be an NFL defense that's wearing the Cowboys helmets, space, five exclamation points.

Speaker 5 It looked ugly on the Cowboys side of the ball. Yeah.

Speaker 1 I mean, the Cowboys haven't won in Denver since Michael Irvin was on the team, 1992. Yeah.
And

Speaker 1 Broncos uniforms, which you talked about, looked incredible.

Speaker 1 They look like a Super Bowl team in those uniforms. Yeah.

Speaker 1 There's just something about those uniforms that are special.

Speaker 1 But yeah, it was finally, the Broncos finally put together the full game that we've been looking for, not fucking around, not waiting till the fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 And the Cowboys, I don't really understand.

Speaker 1 I think Brian Schondenheimer has done a pretty good job coaching this year, but I feel like he's got to look in the mirror and say, hey, our defense is so bad. Fuck it.

Speaker 1 We're going to go for it on every fourth down. Because there was that one fourth down, I think they were around midfield, is like maybe their own 44, where they were down 13 and they punted.

Speaker 1 Why would you ever put your defense back on the field? You have to just go for it on every fourth down and just become that team.

Speaker 5 Yeah, you should have no confidence in the defense whatsoever.

Speaker 1 Just, I mean, it's kind of like the Commanders last year.

Speaker 1 We're just like, we're going for it on every fourth down because if we have three or four fourth downs and we and we convert three out of four, it's better than punting four times.

Speaker 5 Yeah, I still don't think that the Cowboys are a bad team. They're still a very fun team, very fun.
But the defense is just so garbage that if you have a game like that from Dak, you have zero chance.

Speaker 5 Well, I have

Speaker 1 the Dak beater. Oh, by the way, we should have, we didn't even talk to Zach about the Bucks.
I want your Bucks' thoughts after this. My bad.
That game was such a snore.

Speaker 1 The Dak beater is Dak when he is sacked two or more times. He has three touchdowns, five interceptions.

Speaker 1 Dak when he's sacked one or less times, 13 touchdowns, zero interceptions. Yeah.
Basically, just if you can make sure that you keep him clean,

Speaker 1 he's going to be MVP level. And if he gets sacked and gets a little pass rush in his face, it falls apart.

Speaker 5 Yeah, so he also

Speaker 5 picked up the ball and ran a few times today. I wonder if another Dak beater is make him not run the football.
Yeah.

Speaker 5 Like if you look at the stat lines in the games that he's won as opposed to the ones where he hasn't played as well, he might be panicking more and running.

Speaker 5 Because he actually looked pretty good running the football today. He did.
But then, you know, who looked really good when he got in? It was Joe Milton. Joe Milton.
In that altitude.

Speaker 5 He did have that one touchdown. In that altitude, he had a bomb.
He had a bomb.

Speaker 1 Is there a QB controversy?

Speaker 5 Soft benching for Dak.

Speaker 1 They got to make sure the Broncos

Speaker 1 Patrick Sertan went out with two different injuries. He's got to be healthy.
Because

Speaker 1 the Broncos are every bit of an AFC champion contender in my mind.

Speaker 1 If their defense, especially Sertan, is healthy.

Speaker 5 Yeah, they've lost twice to two good teams, and they barely lost to both.

Speaker 1 Joe Milton.

Speaker 4 My bad, my bad, my bad. That's okay.
It was a bomb.

Speaker 1 It was a dot. It was a bomb.
You're not allowed to say anything, Max.

Speaker 5 You aren't. It was a dot.
Max told me today he was back in on Joe. It's good to have you.

Speaker 1 Zach, Bucks, thoughts. My bad.
No, all good.

Speaker 6 Thoughts from the game would be

Speaker 1 early on. Felt kind of good about it.

Speaker 6 I thought we were going to get really active when Anthony Nelson had that batted down pass, turned interception, turned pick six. That was super cool to see.

Speaker 6 And then the goal line stuff, I didn't really understand. Like, there's like, go again, send him again, send him again.
And then goal line stop hurt a lot.

Speaker 6 And then it happens on the other end of the field. We almost don't do it again.

Speaker 6 Tucker finally gets in, but

Speaker 6 it was an okay game. Wasn't much going on.

Speaker 1 Were you on a bachelor party this weekend, Zach?

Speaker 6 I was just a little under the weather, I think.

Speaker 1 No bachelor party. It's that hallway that's cold.

Speaker 5 Stairwell. Yeah, that was stairwell.

Speaker 1 That was bad analysis. You've never been to a bachelor party? No, not yet.

Speaker 9 Maybe one of my friends get married at some point.

Speaker 1 Maxro.

Speaker 3 Yeah, one of five.

Speaker 1 You can go to two. Five.

Speaker 1 Two of five would be strong. Two of five of Max's bachelor parties.
We're basically just going to be booked up all next year. Max's bachelor parties.
Different combos.

Speaker 1 We're going to do a round-robin of Max's bachelor parties.

Speaker 1 Just five different combos of it. But yeah,

Speaker 1 Bucks are good.

Speaker 1 You got to beat bad teams.

Speaker 6 It'll be nice to go into the bye with a win, and then

Speaker 1 what?

Speaker 1 I mean, okay.

Speaker 1 You didn't hear what you said. What did Mimes say? No, memes is feeling himself.
You guys love just not talking in the mic.

Speaker 1 I love combos. Well, memes just talks back here constantly.

Speaker 4 I know.

Speaker 1 We're doing a podcast. Talk in the mic.
You're funny, memes.

Speaker 1 The people like memes.

Speaker 1 It's tough when PFT and I,

Speaker 1 there's no moments that we feel more old than when you guys whisper something, all laugh, and we just sit here being like, what do I got? Something on my shirt?

Speaker 5 I think it's an inside joke.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Actually, no, that's no inside joke.

Speaker 4 You're part of that inside joke.

Speaker 1 Yeah, but you can't. But we didn't hear it.
Oh, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 Well, Hank heard it. I thought you guys could have heard it.
I don't know.

Speaker 5 I just inferred. I had a good idea of what he might have said.
Yeah,

Speaker 5 there should be like a DVD commentary behind this where you guys just do an episode where it's just you reacting to everything else that happens out here. That's what memes is doing right now.

Speaker 1 Yeah, just recording.

Speaker 1 Memes will be like,

Speaker 4 pull up this thing that they should talk about, which is like nothing that you guys are talking about. But who cares?

Speaker 1 It was like the jerseys from before the Avalanche and Hurts. It was like, pull up the Avalanche jerseys.

Speaker 4 Yeah, do it.

Speaker 1 It was a cool jersey man.

Speaker 1 Why did you pull it up? The Nordiques and the Whalers, which was bullshit, wasn't it? Yeah,

Speaker 1 total bullshit.

Speaker 5 That's like when the

Speaker 5 Titans do the Oilers. Yeah.

Speaker 1 You guys are, we love having you chime in.

Speaker 1 Do it.

Speaker 1 No.

Speaker 1 Don't get in your own head. Zach with the Bucs.

Speaker 5 I actually, I kind of like the fact that they just tried the same running play up the middle like seven times.

Speaker 6 It shows like

Speaker 6 what will be the word perseverance.

Speaker 1 Yeah, we'll eventually get in here.

Speaker 5 Yeah, it's like you should get in from the one-inch line. If we just do this enough, you'll just fall forward one time by mistake.

Speaker 1 Ram as hard as we can. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Okay, last game in the afternoon, Colts 38, Titans 14.

Speaker 1 The Colts are just the best team in the NFL. I don't really know what else to say.
They are the best team in the NFL. Jonathan Taylor,

Speaker 1 Jonathan Taylor made me look really stupid with my Jameer Gibbs take the other day because he was like, yeah, you forgot about me. I should just.
Jameer. No, fuck it.

Speaker 1 I'll keep making declarative statements, but Jonathan Taylor had another three-touchdown game. He's got four three-touchdown games in eight weeks.

Speaker 1 LaDanian Tomlinson, when he won the MVP in 2006, he had six. So he is, he's good.
He could be, he should be the MVP. He should be in the discussion, at least.
I agree. I agree with that.
He's insane.

Speaker 5 But I like the spot that you're in right now where it's like the Lions didn't play today. No, yeah.
So after the Colts play, you're like, Jonathan Taylor is the best running back.

Speaker 5 Then you see the Lions. You're like, I forgot about Jameer Gibbs.
And then the Colts play again. You're like, oh, I forgot about Jonathan Taylor.
Yeah, that's

Speaker 1 how we do it here. Yeah, go back and forth.
Yeah. Back and forth.
I'll switch back and forth between running backs.

Speaker 5 He's awesome. It does suck that the last touchdown was not a rushing touchdown.
Yeah. It was a receiving touchdown because it was a pop pass from Daniel Jones.

Speaker 5 So it doesn't technically count on that because I think he might have been the first running back ever to get three rushing touchdowns

Speaker 5 three weeks in a row.

Speaker 1 Maybe.

Speaker 5 But the fact that it was like a little pop pass still puts him in, like, you said, the LT. Yeah.

Speaker 5 The crazy, crazy level of

Speaker 1 accomplishment that he's had he's got 14 touchdowns through eight games that's that was the lt

Speaker 1 2006 season when it was just every single sunday how many touchdowns is he gonna get is he gonna throw one is he gonna run one is he gonna catch one you go oh he'll have four yeah uh daniel jones we said this last week but it has fully clicked for me that every time he drops back i'm expecting a very good play to happen because he's just good at quarterbacking you know what it is i was thinking about this during the second half today the colts offense,

Speaker 5 I think it makes the most sense out of any offense. Okay.
Like when I'm watching them, I'm like, this all makes sense. They use Jonathan Taylor correctly.

Speaker 5 They've got Pittman, who's a great receiver. They got Pierce that they'll just chuck it deep to and will catch it every single time when they chuck it deep to him.
And then, oh yeah,

Speaker 5 they've got Warren, who they'll just use for anything else that they need. Yeah.

Speaker 5 It's the most sense-making offense in the NFL. Yeah.

Speaker 1 They're just really fucking good, and they're the best team in the NFL right now. And I don't know what the rest of the season is going to hold, but

Speaker 1 it happened to me last week where I finally was like, you know what,

Speaker 1 this is not just a hot start. They're just really fucking good.
So I expected it this week, and they delivered in exactly what I expected. Yep.
They're the best team in the NFL.

Speaker 5 The Titans also delivered, for the most part, what I expected from the Titans today.

Speaker 1 I'm just, I don't even, I don't want to watch the Titans play football anymore. I feel like Titans fans don't even want to watch the Titans play football anymore.

Speaker 5 I don't really want to think about the Titans.

Speaker 1 No, nothing about the Titans is appealing. Cam Ward was a little exciting to start the season, but now he just gets sacked so many times and

Speaker 1 his team...

Speaker 1 You can't really judge Cam Ward because every single game it feels like you turn on and the Titans are down 20 immediately. Yeah.

Speaker 1 And he gets sacked a bunch, and they're always behind on down and distance. So I'm going to reserve my judgment for Cam Orton.
I'm not going to be harsh on him.

Speaker 1 I just don't really want to see them play football anymore.

Speaker 5 I agree. So, with the Titans recap,

Speaker 5 Sark might be your coach next year. Yeah.
So, that's good.

Speaker 1 Sark could be the coach.

Speaker 5 I think Stark's a good coach.

Speaker 1 Shout out to the schedule makers for not making sure the Titans weren't playing in any primetime games.

Speaker 5 That is good. No Thursday?

Speaker 1 No Thursday. Love that.
I'm actually kind of shocked. I would have expected at least one.
They have just an onslaught of noon kickoffs. Love that.
Yeah, Sark, though. Sark's trying to get more money.

Speaker 1 I think Sark maybe, now he refuted the claim, but that did feel like, hey, we might lose this game to Mississippi State just in case. I want to just throw this out there.

Speaker 5 I think that Sark would like to go to the NFL.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean, the NFL is.

Speaker 1 It used.

Speaker 5 Because it could be a money-making thing, but also that would be his, what, third contract extension in five years? Yeah. That seems like a lot.

Speaker 5 It feels like the boosters at Texas would be like, why are we giving this guy a third reworking of his contract if we're not a great team right now?

Speaker 1 It's crazy.

Speaker 1 He was just in the

Speaker 1 playoffs. Yeah.
It's crazy. Okay.

Speaker 1 Last game, Sunday Night Football. Wait,

Speaker 5 we should send the Titans to Germany. Yeah.
The Colts are going over to Germany, right?

Speaker 1 But the Titans should go.

Speaker 5 The Titans should raise their hand and say, please send us.

Speaker 1 We'll take this one.

Speaker 5 Yeah, send the boys over there.

Speaker 1 We'll just scrimmage so no one has to watch.

Speaker 5 Hank, what do you think about the Colts' performance against the Titans? I know that the Titans were the Henry Dogg. Henry Dog.

Speaker 3 Yeah, Henry Dog was Dolphins, Jets, Titans, so two out of three. The Colts are really good.
They're the best team in the AFC, probably best team in the NFL.

Speaker 5 Were you upset that they beat the Titans by more than the Patriots beat the Titans?

Speaker 1 No, I don't.

Speaker 1 I don't care about that. Okay.

Speaker 3 But the Colts are good. Transitive property.

Speaker 1 On aggregate.

Speaker 5 The transitive property is important. I don't care about the transitive property.

Speaker 1 It doesn't concern you. Playoffs.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Right now, let's look.

Speaker 1 If the playoffs started today,

Speaker 1 the playoffs started today. The Colts would be the one seed.
The Patriots would be the two.

Speaker 1 Broncos three. Steelers four.

Speaker 1 Bills five. Chargers six.
Jaguars seven. Chiefs still not in the playoffs.

Speaker 1 I would say that's going to change. I would guess that the Chiefs are going to get into the playoffs.

Speaker 1 But the Broncos going 6-2, though, now definitely, you know,

Speaker 1 it's going to be hard. If the Broncos keep playing like this, it'll be harder for the Chiefs to catch them.

Speaker 1 And then in the NFC, it is Packers with the one seed, Eagles with the two seed, Bucs with the three,

Speaker 1 Seahawks, Lions, five, Rams, niners.

Speaker 1 That's a strong.

Speaker 3 That tie is going to

Speaker 3 fuck so much shit up down the stretch.

Speaker 5 The scenarios are going to be so much more complicated because of the tie.

Speaker 1 So we should talk about that game. The Packers just absolutely dominated the Steelers in that second half.
It felt like the perfect Tomlins spot. It felt like the Steelers were going to do

Speaker 1 what the Steelers do, win a game as an underdog against a better team off of a loss to the Bengals last week. And then the Packers' dark magic was stronger because that play to Tucker Kraft.

Speaker 1 Was it Tucker Kraft? Tucker Kraft had a player. It was all the Tucker Kraft.
But

Speaker 1 Jordan Love just tossed it up there. Tucker Kraft picked it from the sky, like a 50-yard gain.
But yeah, Tucker Kraft was insane. Jordan Love looked so good.

Speaker 1 I said this last week, but the Packers are really, really good. And I know that the tie kind of got people off the scent.
Maybe the slow start against the Bengals. They're a scary, scary team.

Speaker 1 Yeah, they were.

Speaker 5 Jordan Love tonight was just unconscious for like 30 minutes of game time.

Speaker 1 Yeah, the ball didn't hit the ground.

Speaker 1 It didn't hit the ground.

Speaker 5 Even on the one, the pass that you're talking about,

Speaker 5 that was a get-me-out of here throw by Jordan Love. Didn't really aim it anywhere.
He aimed it to the side of the field because he's like, I'm pretty sure this is one-on-one over here.

Speaker 5 I'll just let Tucker jump up and try to grab it.

Speaker 5 He's a very smart quarterback. Yeah.
He's a very smart quarterback. And even though the running game wasn't what they wanted it to be,

Speaker 5 it really never felt in the second half like it was. any effort at all for the Packers to dominate that game.

Speaker 1 Yeah, the Packers are just really good. I don't know what to say.
That actually,

Speaker 1 I was rational about

Speaker 1 the Bears earlier in the show, but watching the Packers be this good, the gap in the NFC is significant when you're talking about like the Eagles, the Packers, the Lions, even the Rams, and then kind of everyone else.

Speaker 1 Yeah, the only thing about

Speaker 5 the kicker, you might want to do something about your kicker. Yeah.
Because that's the type of guy that's going to

Speaker 5 come back to haunt you in the playoffs.

Speaker 1 Would you? I'm going to give you a momentary take reprieve.

Speaker 1 I'm going to say right now you get immunity. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Would you like immunity on your take that the Steelers are going to win a playoff game?

Speaker 5 I'd like to be immunized. Okay.

Speaker 5 As Aaron Rodgers put it.

Speaker 1 Weird stuff. It's still early.
It's still early in the steel. But they're the same old Steelers.

Speaker 5 They do look a lot like the exact same Steelers that we've seen for 10 years.

Speaker 5 Just

Speaker 1 a pitch left, a pitch right. I don't need the image.
And then a third and five incompletion.

Speaker 5 I don't need the immediate. When we were watching the game, it dawned on me that the Steelers don't try to get first downs on second down.
No.

Speaker 5 If it's second and seven, if it's second and eight, second and ten, the Pittsburgh Steelers are not trying to get a first down.

Speaker 5 They're trying to set up their third and manageable where they can then run another play that's designed to just barely get a first down. Barely.

Speaker 5 A good team will get four yards on first down, and then they'll be like, okay, playbook's kind of wide open right now. The Steelers are like, no, let's run the toss to Warren to the outside.

Speaker 5 Pat Fryermuth, maybe you run like a two-yard out and then get out of bounds, regroup. We'll see if we can't get that first down.
Maybe I'll dump it off to Jalen Warren.

Speaker 5 I think the coal play is to get to a point where Aaron Rodgers and Mike Tomlin have to fight about whether or not to go for it. Yeah, it seems like that's what that's

Speaker 5 what they're shooting for.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I said it a month ago that the Steelers lead the league in short passes where the defense has four guys right on the ball carrier instantly.

Speaker 1 Yeah, It doesn't feel like any pass is ever in hitting someone in stride down the field or anything like that. Yeah, they're the same old Steelers.

Speaker 1 I don't know. I mean, they have to play the Colts next week.
That will be another big test, but

Speaker 1 it doesn't feel great. And Aaron Rodgers probably didn't have the best time watching this Packers team look really fucking good.

Speaker 5 I'm not going to overreact anything. So I'm not going to back off of my take yet.
Okay.

Speaker 1 Because what are they, four and three? They're four and three.

Speaker 5 Weird stuff happens. Weird stuff happens.
There's a lot of season left. It doesn't feel, I don't feel great about my take right now, and I don't feel great about it from last Thursday either.

Speaker 5 But you know what? I'm going to trust old me.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 They still have to play the Ravens twice,

Speaker 1 the Bills,

Speaker 1 the Colts, the Chargers, and at the Lions.

Speaker 5 Yeah, they didn't look good today.

Speaker 1 That's a lot of tough games. Their easiest games left are the Dolphins, the Bears, and the Bengals.

Speaker 1 And then the rest of their schedule is not so easy.

Speaker 5 Big Cat, you want to play a quick game? Yeah.

Speaker 1 Called...

Speaker 5 Tell me about this leadership.

Speaker 1 Okay. Okay.

Speaker 5 I'm going to give you a quote from a famous leader, and you tell me if you think that helped or hurt his chances of bringing a team together to succeed.

Speaker 1 Okay, I like this. All right.

Speaker 5 Here's the quote.

Speaker 5 You fucking cocksucker.

Speaker 1 I saw this. I would say it probably helped.
You think it helped? Yeah.

Speaker 5 No, in this case, it doesn't seem like it helped.

Speaker 5 From the numbers, it didn't help. That was Aaron Rodgers after DK Metcalf

Speaker 5 did not catch a ball in the first half.

Speaker 5 Was it a drop? Did it go on the books as a drop? I think it might have. Yeah.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Hey, do you want to do another hot take that I'll have to change in a week? Tucker Kraft best tight end in the NFL?

Speaker 5 I would say

Speaker 1 let's just get fucking reckless. That was it.

Speaker 1 Yeah, was it the last thing we watched? And yeah, did he have 143 yards and two touchdowns and looked absolutely explosive and unguardable?

Speaker 1 Why not? Just fucking say it. And then next week.

Speaker 5 Sam Laporta has a break in.

Speaker 1 Kelsey's going to have a vintage game on Monday.

Speaker 5 No, he's not. No, he's not.

Speaker 5 You think Taylor Swift's going to be at the game tomorrow? Yeah, right.

Speaker 1 She'd probably say hi to you. Yeah.

Speaker 1 She's definitely going to be at the game. Monday night football? Get an invite to the box?

Speaker 1 You got to go into her box. If invited.

Speaker 5 She's invited. If she's like, come into my box, I'll say, okay.

Speaker 1 Done. Yes, ma'am.
No problem.

Speaker 5 But I plan on just sitting in my seats.

Speaker 1 Listen, we just got to remember that not every NFL Sunday is going to be like this one because it wasn't great. We got to also admit it.
We can't pretend.

Speaker 1 Sorry. No, I just saw Memes' face when I said that.
Because

Speaker 1 it does coincide with the Jets playing the most exciting game and winning their first game. Yeah.
But

Speaker 1 would you say it's a fair statement, memes, that on a whole, this wasn't NFL Sunday to remember?

Speaker 1 Correct. I'll remember it.
Yes, yes, fair.

Speaker 5 Fair.

Speaker 1 But the Jets are also the most entertaining team in the NFL.

Speaker 1 I like that. I like that.

Speaker 5 Yep.

Speaker 1 Yep.

Speaker 1 Talk about them every week. Okay.
Yep. Okay.
Yep.

Speaker 1 Mainly bad. I was going to say good or bad, but mainly bad.

Speaker 5 But you still talk about them. We're obsessed with him.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Very entertaining. Yeah.

Speaker 5 I like it, memes. And it's almost more special that you won in a week that was down for because it was like, this is your week.
The Jets are the... That's by far the story of the week.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Yeah.
Week eight versus Bengals. It happened

Speaker 1 three, four years ago.

Speaker 5 Was this Justin Fields' Mike White game?

Speaker 1 Yeah. This was?

Speaker 5 Because I know it's important.

Speaker 5 That's a distinction and an honor that you withhold for very, very special circumstances to declare somebody as having their Mike White game.

Speaker 1 Memes, I'll say thank you.

Speaker 1 So was it his Mike White game? No, Mike White got put in the Hall of Fame for that. Yeah, true.
Uh-huh. Do you think Brees Hall is Mike White game? Okay.
Wait, I thought it was.

Speaker 5 It's not just for quarterbacks. No.
Anyone can have a Mike White game.

Speaker 1 You just got to be touched by God that day. That was, Memes.
I will say thank you because we were talking about it with eight minutes left.

Speaker 1 You guys were down 14 points, and it looked like it was going to be, hey, if the Jets don't get this first down, it's going to be Bengals win by 14.

Speaker 1 You were the only game that was not decided by double digits.

Speaker 1 Isn't that crazy? That is crazy. Every single game, I'll read you the point,

Speaker 1 the winning margin. Dolphins won by 24,

Speaker 1 Patriots won by 19.

Speaker 1 Eagles won by 18. Bills won by 31.

Speaker 1 Ravens won by 14. Texans won by 11.
Bucks won by 20. Broncos won by 20, Colts won by, I'm doing really good math here, 24, Packers won by 10, and then the Jets won their game by one point.

Speaker 1 That's pretty nuts. Yeah, you're right.

Speaker 1 That's some pretty shitty games, but the Jets saved Sunday.

Speaker 5 Yeah, the second half of the Sunday night game, I was like, this has been one of the better games.

Speaker 5 It was still a 10-point loss.

Speaker 1 It was actually the closest game.

Speaker 5 And it was only because I hadn't seen anything that was close before that.

Speaker 1 It was, if you're just going by winning margin, it was the second closest game that we watched. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Was Sunday night football.

Speaker 5 You know what that tells me?

Speaker 1 Yeah, we're going to have a great Monday night football game.

Speaker 5 We're going to have a, yeah, it's going to be legendary.

Speaker 5 Mariotta might have his Jaden Daniels game. He could.

Speaker 1 Yeah. He absolutely could.
Should we talk a little baseball before we do who's back of the week? Yeah.

Speaker 1 That Friday night in Toronto was incredible. That Grand Slam was incredible.
I thought for a second the Blue Jays were a team of destiny.

Speaker 1 And then Yamamoto on Saturday was equally as incredible with a complete game. Second complete game in a row.

Speaker 1 Complete games, there's something about them, man. They've been completely phased out of

Speaker 1 the sport. So when a guy does it, something gets a little tingly for me.

Speaker 5 It's nice because in between innings, they go to the dugout and you see the guy that's pitching. They zoom in real close on him.
Yep. He's like sweaty and tired.

Speaker 5 And he's like, I'm going to go back out there. And you're like, what a fucking warrior this guy is.

Speaker 1 Yeah, what a monster.

Speaker 5 Thank you for your service, sir.

Speaker 5 And then getting to watch him go out there and continue to be dominant. That was a lot of fun.
Now,

Speaker 5 I think he probably got a little bit of a burst of energy from the Jonas Brothers concert. Definitely.
Because that was awesome.

Speaker 5 I think America really enjoyed that during an actual literal World Series game.

Speaker 1 That was very cool. We also had just, it was the Dodgers, right when you thought, oh man, the Blue Jays, this could be special.

Speaker 1 Team of Destiny, they hit so, like, the way they jumped on the Dodgers on Friday night was insane. Yeah, it was cool.
And you're like, this offense can go with the Dodgers. And they still can.

Speaker 1 The series is only 1-1. But the way the Dodgers did that on Saturday night, just shut them down and did their, oh yeah, we don't even need our best dudes to do it.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 We'll just have, you know, Max Muncie hit a home run. And I mean, he's very, very good, but he's not Shohei.
And... You know, that's just what the Dodgers do.
And just shut him up.

Speaker 5 I think if you asked Jays fans, would you take a 1-1 split in the first two? I think most of them would have said yes. Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 5 Like, this is a good thing for the Jays, all things considered, but now, now it's nut-cutting time.

Speaker 1 Now we get Scherzer on the bump on

Speaker 1 Monday.

Speaker 5 All right, you're going to have to give Scherzer like one

Speaker 5 to one and two-thirds innings to settle in.

Speaker 1 And you're also going to have to give him at least

Speaker 1 one inning more than you thought you were going to because he's going to yell at you when you try to come get him out of the game.

Speaker 5 Right, so the game plan is like you're going to want to say maybe we should pull him in the first or maybe in the second, but you can't do it then because then the third, fourth, and fifth inning, he's going to be really good.

Speaker 5 So in the fifth inning, you need to schedule a mound visit, act like you're going to take him out, let him yell at you, then go back to the dugout, let him finish out that inning, and then two more outs into the sixth, then you can pull him out.

Speaker 1 Yes.

Speaker 5 That's the game plan for Max Scherzer, and he's an awesome pitcher if you stick to that game plan.

Speaker 1 Friday night, I was listening to the okay Blue Jays song. It's ridiculous.
Okay, Blue Jays. Let's play ball.
Hey, what do you say? We got a bat.

Speaker 1 We got a ball.

Speaker 1 It's crazy.

Speaker 1 I caught Toronto Jays fever for a second. Max even tweeted that he was wrong about the Blue Jays.

Speaker 4 Yeah, no, I take that back. Well,

Speaker 5 Friday, you were wrong about the Jays.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Well, you said sweep.

Speaker 4 Well, I said sweep because everyone was saying Dodgers or Dodgers in five.

Speaker 1 i i said dodger and four so technically i was wrong but it's still gonna be dodgers and five wait what what was your final pick dodgers in four oh yeah he's wrong so you're wrong yeah okay he's already wrong yeah you're right i was wrong yeah yeah

Speaker 1 but dodgers

Speaker 1 stop

Speaker 1 it's triggering

Speaker 5 also shout out to hank for battling back on that back nine

Speaker 5 yeah good job you owe me money though i do and credit to hank also because he knew that he battled back on the back nine and then just sat here and took the abuse

Speaker 5 on Thursday when we talked about the round that was already out.

Speaker 1 Yeah, how much money do you owe me?

Speaker 3 I owe you 500. I owe PFT like 10 grand.

Speaker 1 Why don't you and PFT play for my 500?

Speaker 3 I'm gonna just pay PFT and then and then and then we can then start again. No, no, no, I don't want to do that.

Speaker 1 Yes, no, I'm done with this. I'm done with this.
I'm done with this. Hank, I'm done with this.
Hear me up.

Speaker 1 I don't want to take $10,000. And you dunked on a nine-foot hoop? No.

Speaker 5 I don't want to take $10,000 from you. I don't care.
What if you just, like, let's do some more sarlays? Yeah. No.

Speaker 1 I'm done. I would like, can I get one sarlay?

Speaker 5 One sarlay for everything. Hank, okay, one sarlay for everything.
It has to be. No, I'm not doing 10 grand sarlay.

Speaker 1 No, no, no, no, no, no, you get a five grand grandeur. No,

Speaker 1 no, listen, listen.

Speaker 5 Here's what I propose. If you cook up a sarlaye, it has to be

Speaker 5 wait, it has to be five to one. Okay.
All I'm asking for is five to one. I'm going to put two thousand dollars on it.

Speaker 3 I will put the two thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 No, no, no, no.

Speaker 5 I'll put two thousand dollars on it. No.

Speaker 1 If it hits, debt is wiped clean.

Speaker 5 No.

Speaker 1 Wiped clean, Hank. I'm just

Speaker 3 going pay you and you can do whatever items you want.

Speaker 1 I don't want $10,000 from you.

Speaker 3 Everyone's like, oh, you guys make these bets and never even pay. And I want to pay you.

Speaker 5 You've tried so hard to pick up.

Speaker 1 I want a sarlay. I get one sarlay.
You've got a sarlaye.

Speaker 5 Give me a plus 500 sarlay. All right.
And let me bet on it. Because in the past, you've been betting on it.
And then you play on it. Let's do it a different way.
Okay.

Speaker 1 You only owe me 500 bucks. I just want one sarlay.
I don't give a fuck if it's.

Speaker 3 What if it doesn't hit?

Speaker 5 If it doesn't hit, hit uh then you owe me can you owe me $12,000

Speaker 5 plus interest and then we'll do another sorlay no and uh on this one I'll put more money on it.

Speaker 1 No, I actually don't want a sorlay Hank. I just want uh one week.
You can just tell me before on Sunday.

Speaker 3 I'll send PFD the money. He's not going to accept it and then we'll just reset him cash.

Speaker 1 No, Hank, I want just one week. Before kickoff, just say, I got, just be like, you got 500 bucks on this hungry dog.
Okay. So I'm just riding with you.
All right.

Speaker 1 But it can't, the bears can't be, they can't be against.

Speaker 3 That's fair. That's fair.
And

Speaker 5 can it be for tomorrow night?

Speaker 3 Yeah, I don't know. I got it.
Like, I don't know if tomorrow night is going to be my best thinking day. No.

Speaker 5 No, but sometimes your best thinking days are when you're not thinking at all, when you're just in the zone.

Speaker 1 True.

Speaker 3 I will. I can.
Yeah.

Speaker 5 Give me something to put on this game.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 5 I mean, I'm going to have a lot emotionally already riding on it, but yeah, give me something five to one and then debt clean if it hits. All right.

Speaker 1 And you have to dunk. No.
Okay.

Speaker 1 But you do. On a nine-foot hoop.
I'll try. You could do a nine-foot hoop.
Maybe. Probably.
Okay, let's finish up with who's back of the week.

Speaker 1 It is brought to you by our friends at Twisted Tea. It's Halloweend.
You're juggling three parties, a questionable costume, and six football games at once.

Speaker 1 And there's only one thing that can hold it all together, Twisted Tea. That's right.
Real brood, iced tea, 5% alcohol, no carbonation.

Speaker 1 It's the drink that says, yeah, I can wear a costume and still win my bets.

Speaker 1 Whether you're tailgating dressed as a zombie or at a house party checking your team lineups between game rounds, Twisted Tea is the one thing that always comes in clutch.

Speaker 1 Your costume might be questionable, but your drink shouldn't be. So whether it's kickoff or costume time, bring Twisted Tea and keep it Twisted all holo weekend long.

Speaker 1 With Twisted Tea, we love Twisted Tea. It's the perfect drink this weekend.
Go check it out. Twisted Tea.
Get the original.

Speaker 1 Get the half lemonade. Get the peach.
Do it all. I was having a Twisted Tea on Friday night.
It was great. All right, Hank.
Your Who's Back of the Week?

Speaker 3 My Who's Back of the Week is New Jobs. Oh.
I'm sure we'll talk about it more Wednesday, but Brian Kelly

Speaker 3 during this show. Gone.
Gone from LSU.

Speaker 5 See you, Brian.

Speaker 1 See you, buddy. So, yeah, Brian Kelly, after screaming at every single person on the LSU sideline on Saturday night and getting utterly embarrassed versus Texas A ⁇ M, who's very, very good.

Speaker 1 Gets fired, $54 million buyout. The craziest part about Brian Kelly's buyout is

Speaker 1 the guy, the AD at LSU, Scott Woodward,

Speaker 1 he is

Speaker 1 now, he was the AD at A ⁇ M,

Speaker 1 hired Jimbo. Jimbo got fired, $77 million buyout.
Went to LSU, hired Brian Kelly. Brian Kelly got fired, $54 million buyout.
That's $131 million of buyouts that he negotiated

Speaker 1 for both those schools. How does he have a job?

Speaker 5 It's weird because you would think that at some point the major universities would get together and collude and be like, hey,

Speaker 5 let's stop writing in buyout language to all the head coaches' contracts. Can we all agree on that?

Speaker 5 You would think that most of them would agree, but the difference is if you are one of the schools that has an opening right now and you need to hire a good coach,

Speaker 5 you would not agree to that.

Speaker 1 Well, and it's also always so fucked up with these contracts and college coaches is

Speaker 1 you sign a contract if you're a college coach, and if you have a 10-win season two years into your time there, they just give you way more money and then up the buyout. Yeah.

Speaker 1 It's just, it's monopoly money. And so now we have LSU, Florida, Penn State, UCLA, Arkansas, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State, Stanford as of right now.

Speaker 1 Virginia Tech. Yeah.

Speaker 1 I said Virginia Tech. I think I've got to be aware of that.

Speaker 3 Harry James Franklin and Virginia Tech.

Speaker 5 I might be missing one, but words on the screen.

Speaker 3 That's what the buzz, yeah. There's a lot of buzz about that.

Speaker 5 The buzz at Tots? Yep.

Speaker 1 James Franklin? Virginia Tech.

Speaker 3 He's a great recruiter in Virginia. Because

Speaker 5 I had a thought, and

Speaker 5 it's just an intrusive thought that hit me, and I whispered it to Max on the couch about like two hours ago.

Speaker 5 Have you thought about a world where Brian Kelly is the coach of the Wisconsin Badgers?

Speaker 1 I'd be fine with it.

Speaker 1 He'd make us better than what we are right now.

Speaker 5 He gets good results.

Speaker 1 I'm probably not invited to the sideline as of right now anyway, so what does it matter if Brian Kelly's the coach? I'll still not be invited to the sideline. I don't care.
True.

Speaker 1 I just want to win football. I just want to win football.

Speaker 1 We scored our first touchdown in 12 quarters on Saturday night against the Ducks in Oregon. I was like legitimately pumped.
I was like, holy shit.

Speaker 1 We just easily covered. Easily covers.
Not just covers. We blew him out.
I say, easily covered. He blew Vegas out.
Not even close. But yeah, Brian Kelly, I've said some shit.

Speaker 1 I'm going to keep saying shit. If you want to coach the Badgers and try to get us back to, you know, 8, 9, 10, Winland, I'm in.
It is. I'm in.

Speaker 1 I'm so sick of watching my team suck every Saturday that I will have the guy that I probably hate most

Speaker 1 of any coach coach my alma mater.

Speaker 5 It is interesting just how Brian Kelly never really got along with anyone at LSU. No one really liked him.
He didn't really have any fun at all coaching the LSU Tigers.

Speaker 1 Yeah, someone put it perfectly. They had a video of Brian Kelly leaving after he got fired.
I guess he went into the facility for a couple minutes. They fired him.
He left.

Speaker 1 And he was seen driving in an Audi station wagon. And they're like,

Speaker 1 this right here is exactly why he never was going to fit in at LSU.

Speaker 5 Yeah, they literally had a reporter that was hiding in bushes

Speaker 5 to get the footage of him leaving the facility and driving away.

Speaker 5 I was hoping it was going to be a Rory McElroy situation where he was going to speed off. And now it was just like a calm back out and drive away.
Like, I got the scoop. 54 mil.

Speaker 1 I wonder if he's going to coach again. Why would he coach again?

Speaker 6 Is that on his birthday?

Speaker 5 Or no, the game was on his birthday.

Speaker 1 The game was on his birthday.

Speaker 5 Good birthday present, though, to get 54 million.

Speaker 1 How pumped, in terms of changes in a a workplace,

Speaker 1 Brian Kelly, if he's your boss getting fired, it's got to be top, top, top of the line. The best.
Like those guys had to have, he was screaming at everyone.

Speaker 5 The best.

Speaker 1 He's the quintessential, if I'm going down, I'm blaming everyone but me type of guy.

Speaker 5 And also going from, like, LSU's had some coaches that, like, I don't think that they would have loved had they not won. Yeah.
But Brian Kelly,

Speaker 5 you can't lose and also be a dickhead.

Speaker 1 It also made me

Speaker 1 reminded me of Brian Kelly when he left Notre Dame to go to LSU.

Speaker 1 Our guy, White Boy Rick, tweeted this out, but there was a story in the Columbian from a local newspaper in Washington, the state of Washington, about Brian Kelly finding out that he was going to be the coach to LSU while he was at a recruit's house

Speaker 1 and

Speaker 1 taking the phone call. And then the story reads, he came back in, sat down, and acted like it was nothing.
Merriweather said of the phone call. He was as cool as a cucumber.

Speaker 1 About those burnt ends, though, Kelly had three servings, Merriweather said. That's why the Merriweathers were shocked.
Just minutes after Kelly and his assistant coaches left the house at 5 p.m.

Speaker 1 to see reports of Kelly heading to LSU, screenshots from social media were immediately sent by Tobias Merriweather to Notre Dame assistant coaches for clarification. They just left in a luxury SUV.

Speaker 1 Brian Kelly took the job at LSU at a recruit's house, then continued to eat three servings of the mom's burnt ends, and then didn't say a word and left. Okay, to be fair, though.

Speaker 5 That brisket's delicious.

Speaker 5 Yeah,

Speaker 5 that's a behavior that I cannot condemn that. Yeah, I might have done the same thing if I were in his shoes.

Speaker 1 I am not a huge fan of Brian Kelly, but yeah, if he wants to coach Wisconsin, I'm down. Yeah, I mean, he's.

Speaker 5 I wonder if Penn State's going to give him a call. I wonder if that's.
No. I think they're going to have a discussion about Brian Kelly.

Speaker 1 No, no, no. They're going to discuss it.
I don't think so. Oh, yeah.
They're going to have it. He's got too much.

Speaker 1 I mean, he just went to a place that was the whole thing with Brian Kelly was he's an incredible coach, but he's blocked by the restrictions of Notre Dame. Wait till you see.

Speaker 1 He was basically like the ESPN guy who leaves ESPN, like, hey, now I'm going to swear on my podcast.

Speaker 1 He's going to get to coach the SEC and get LSU talent, and he's going to win a national championship. Didn't come close.

Speaker 5 I think, yeah, I'm not saying that he would be a good coach for Penn State, but I'm saying that Penn State is definitely going to talk about it.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I think that would, I think that that's the conversation. Hey, Brian Kelly, no.

Speaker 5 Brian Kelly, maybe. Make him say no.

Speaker 1 Make him say no. All right, good.
Who's back, Hank? Who do you got going to LSU? Coach O?

Speaker 1 Lane Kiffen's going to get so much money because everyone wants him. I don't think he's going to go anywhere.

Speaker 5 No, no, no.

Speaker 1 I'm not saying he is. Yeah.
He's just going to get so much money.

Speaker 5 What's crazy is like he's going to have his pick of jobs that if you had told Lane Kiffen about like 10 years ago, he would have signed up for immediately. Yeah.
But I think he likes Omiss.

Speaker 1 He could get Dable. But he's going to make so much money, like even staying.
Dable?

Speaker 1 Dable. I got a different name.

Speaker 5 Yeah.

Speaker 5 Joe Brady.

Speaker 1 Sometimes you got to go back to move forward.

Speaker 5 Want an Addie there.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Although,

Speaker 5 if I worked in the NFL as a coach, I don't think I would ever leave the NFL for college football right now.

Speaker 1 No, absolutely not.

Speaker 1 But they don't have bio. Dude, the guys are doing the guys are doing it to be coordinators.

Speaker 1 Yeah, look at Jeff Hafley in Green Bay. Yeah.
That's why, like, Badger fans want Jim Leonard because it was the one that got away kind of thing when it was fickle and Jim Leonard got fired.

Speaker 1 He's now in Denver.

Speaker 1 Why would you ever want to go chase, like, be get a million bucks and be a coordinator? I mean, Hank's right, though.

Speaker 5 The buyout.

Speaker 5 If they give you a huge buyout, then it's like, yeah, that... That makes sense, but you're going to be miserable.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 5 Go come here and be miserable until you get fired, then you'll be happy.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean, because those are miserable jobs. Yeah.

Speaker 1 I wouldn't be shocked if

Speaker 1 I think there's more coming.

Speaker 1 I think I'll give you a name that I could see, an opening I could see happening, depending on how this weekend, even this weekend goes.

Speaker 1 USC.

Speaker 1 I think Stinkin' Riley might be out. Hmm.

Speaker 5 Interesting.

Speaker 1 I think there's guys that might leave the places they want to be, even though they're not doing bad.

Speaker 1 I think it's going to be basically full-on musical chairs.

Speaker 5 Well, right now, it's like...

Speaker 1 Does Kalen DeBoer love Alabama?

Speaker 5 I was making that point a couple weeks ago, and Big T told me I was certifiably insane.

Speaker 1 I don't think you're insane anymore.

Speaker 5 But I feel like Kalen DeBoer,

Speaker 5 he lost a game this year, and then

Speaker 5 he had grandmothers on the local news talk about how they were trying to win the lottery so they could pay him to not be in their town anymore.

Speaker 1 If you're a guy like Kalen DeBoer and you go to the playoff this year and lose in, let's say, the semifinal, that's not enough for Alabama. No, and they'll let you know.
Do you know what it is?

Speaker 1 It's enough for a USC or somewhere not in the SEC to give you a shitload of money

Speaker 1 and treat you well. Because, like, Penn State, they had James Franklin for a very long time.

Speaker 1 You can say there definitely is a difference when you're at an Alabama or an LSU where the temperature gets hot very quickly.

Speaker 5 It gets very hot.

Speaker 5 Yeah, I feel like LSU.

Speaker 1 Four state might be open.

Speaker 5 LSU, best best job now, best job available.

Speaker 1 This is like a dream when we did. Yeah, LSU probably.
Yeah, because LSU will always have the benefit of all their homegrown talent wants to go to LSU.

Speaker 1 This is a dream scenario memes when you're playing NCAA

Speaker 1 video game. You're like, what are the openings this year? Some years there's none.
Some years it's like, holy shit. All these coaches, all these places are offering me.
Spot on.

Speaker 1 And Florida State is not going to be open.

Speaker 1 Officially?

Speaker 1 they said they met with

Speaker 1 the Mike Norvell boosters, and it's like over $100 million. We can't do this.

Speaker 1 What about Dabbo?

Speaker 1 Dabo,

Speaker 1 I don't think they'll force him out.

Speaker 1 I don't think they'll.

Speaker 1 I think they'll give him another year. I got a name.
Because they kind of put it back together a little bit.

Speaker 1 They're not a playoff team, but they're not. Dabo, at least, is

Speaker 1 going to

Speaker 1 probably win seven or eight games, I would say. Clemson's three and four right now.

Speaker 1 Maybe not, actually. Duke,

Speaker 1 actually, they might not. I take that back.
They're probably going to maybe lose to Duke, maybe lose to Louisville at Louisville. Now, if this had happened,

Speaker 5 if these openings had happened a year ago, there's a name that would absolutely 100% be at the top of all the lists. It would be like talked about non-stop on ESPN.
Now, maybe not so much,

Speaker 5 but Deion's still out there. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 Well, that was, oh, that was, I don't know if you guys stayed up and watched that game on Saturday night. Ooh,

Speaker 1 that was bad. That was like, turn on the game.
Utah has 400 yards of offense, and Colorado's at minus 10.

Speaker 5 Yeah, it was tough. It was bad.
It was a tough game, but I still feel like he's in Florida State. You know what? He's one to monitor.

Speaker 1 One to monitor.

Speaker 1 We'll talk more on Wednesday, though. Maybe we'll get one of our college football guys on to break it down because there are enough now where we could just talk about these openings.

Speaker 5 Talk jobs. Maybe Brandon.

Speaker 1 Maybe Brandon. Although I think he said something along the lines of it's a slam dunk hire for Brian Kelly at LSU.
He's going to win a national championship.

Speaker 1 But that's also, hey, look, I thought a slam dunk hire for Luke Fickle in Wisconsin. Lower stakes, but slam dunk for me was eight wins.

Speaker 5 Brandon is a slam dunk champion. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Okay, PFT, your who's back of the week.

Speaker 5 My who's back of the week is rugby.

Speaker 1 Rugby's back.

Speaker 5 This weekend, we got the All Blacks and Ireland's national rugby team playing at Soldier Field. Still,

Speaker 5 it's going to be awesome. It's going to be a great game.

Speaker 5 Weird that they're playing a full rugby game, like two of the best teams in the world, an 80-minute long game at Soldier Field where the Bears have to play for the rest of the year. Uh-huh.

Speaker 5 Really strange.

Speaker 1 We don't have a home game till the following week, but yes.

Speaker 5 Yeah, it's a strange choice, but this game is going to be awesome. So New Zealand's number two in the world, and Ireland is number three, and they like flip-flop back and forth.

Speaker 5 It's going to be awesome. I went to the one that they had here like 10 years ago.
It was one of the coolest days ever. Got to see the Haka, all that stuff.

Speaker 1 It's going to be an amazing time.

Speaker 5 And we got some of the All Blacks coming in the office this week, which I'm very excited about.

Speaker 1 So, yeah.

Speaker 5 Listen, if you haven't watched rugby and you find yourself on a Saturday, maybe the college slate isn't hitting, watch the All Blacks against Ireland. It's going to be an awesome game.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 I'm very excited. What time is the game?

Speaker 5 I want to say it's at, what, like three?

Speaker 5 Perfect. Three on Saturday.

Speaker 1 Get through YouTube TV. You got got a million fucking ways to watch games.
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 It's going to kick ass. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Okay, my who's back of the week is just the NBA in general. We didn't really, we'll do our NBA preview in a month or two, but just the first two nights were insane.
Steph, Steph's still doing it.

Speaker 1 It's crazy. Wemby,

Speaker 1 that's pretty much our NBA preview.

Speaker 5 Every time I see a new Wemby highlight, it's him making three blocks and then like stepping over three people as he sprints down the court, hitting a step back three. Yeah, it's crazy.

Speaker 1 Did you see Jalen Brown's comments about gambling? That was weird. Did you see his hair? Yeah, yeah, but the comments were weird.

Speaker 3 I don't know. I think it's tough for the players.
They don't really, and as they should.

Speaker 1 But to say there's no benefit to the players.

Speaker 1 It's a complicated thing, and people were.

Speaker 1 I feel like I might not have explained myself well on Friday's show that I 100% think Terry Rogier, if found guilty of any of this should never play again and players should not be betting on anything i'm not excusing anything he does but to be like there's no benefit people watch the games and the like the the tv rights go up all these things work together it's not black and white none of this none of this shit is black and white no but like from jalen brown's perspective as a player it's like he you know Worked his whole life to be an NBA player.

Speaker 3 Of course. Whether or not he was getting paid, you know, $10 million or $50 million, he would still be doing it.
Obviously, I think that's where people are like, oh, how dare you?

Speaker 3 But it's like, I don't think he dared to be an NBA player. So he's like, I don't get, like, I don't.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 I just feel like he doesn't.

Speaker 1 But why should he? Who cares? No,

Speaker 1 I'm not, like, offended by it. It was more like, do you not see the connection that

Speaker 1 the people gambling on games will does drive viewership, does drive money for the TV rights that does.

Speaker 3 I understand it. I just, I'm not surprised that he

Speaker 1 didn't, I guess.

Speaker 5 I think that on a day-to-day basis, if you're in the NBA,

Speaker 5 the interaction that you have with gambling is mostly people that are just DMing you the angriest, most hateful shit ever on social media. And then that's how you think of gambling.
For sure.

Speaker 5 It's like, I don't give a fuck about people who are gambling on sports.

Speaker 1 That stuff is definitely true, and it's too far people DMing it. But being like, it just got introduced a few years ago, no, it didn't.
Yeah, gambling's been around for a very long time.

Speaker 5 I think like having the But it was never like they didn't have these sponsorships.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 Sponsors.

Speaker 1 But that's money in his pocket. That's the cap going up.
Right. Yeah.
That's where it does help him.

Speaker 5 The other Jalen Brown news.

Speaker 1 It was pretty funny. It was hilarious.
It was very funny.

Speaker 5 What was the hair thing? He's making headlines.

Speaker 5 Like, literally on people's uniforms.

Speaker 3 He had like the Carlos boots.

Speaker 1 Oh, he got a little paint job. And then he,

Speaker 3 who was it, Quickly? Yeah. He was

Speaker 3 OG Ananobi. He

Speaker 1 wiped his head off on his jersey.

Speaker 1 It was like the black streak.

Speaker 3 That's so funny.

Speaker 1 Like a girl at a wedding. Yeah.

Speaker 4 You give a girl a hug and it gets shit all over your shoe.

Speaker 5 Oh, the makeup, yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 5 All of Max's analogies are going to be wedding-related. Yeah.
It's facts.

Speaker 4 And it was his birthday cut.

Speaker 6 He was trying to get fresh.

Speaker 1 So he did the enhancements for the birthday.

Speaker 5 And then tonight, there was another screenshot of somebody that had what appeared to be

Speaker 5 some sort of rub-off head. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Max, you're all the way back in on the Sixers, right?

Speaker 4 Yeah, Vijay Edgecombe. Absolute beast.
There you go.

Speaker 4 Bols are 2-0. That's how you rebuild right there.

Speaker 1 Oh, Wimby has.

Speaker 1 Wimby has looked incredible.

Speaker 5 Future Face of this league?

Speaker 1 Yep.

Speaker 4 Best NBA debut since Will Chamberlain. Wow.

Speaker 4 That's a crazy stat.

Speaker 1 Yeah, wild stat.

Speaker 5 It's wild stat.

Speaker 4 Most points since Will Chamberlain.

Speaker 1 Most points in his NBA debut since Will Chamberlain. How many points did he have? 34.

Speaker 4 Wow.

Speaker 4 He's lost. That's.
In a win over the Celtics.

Speaker 1 Just stating facts. That's just a fact.
Yeah.

Speaker 3 NBA doesn't start until after Christmas.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Tables have turned.
Patriots, Drake May.

Speaker 1 Zach finishes off.

Speaker 6 My who's back of the week this week is going to be Austin Reeves because he just put a 50 piece up for his career high.

Speaker 6 Great performance by Austin Reeves.

Speaker 9 I should have came with a couple more who's backs.

Speaker 6 I initially was going to talk to the Brown hairline.

Speaker 1 Oh, shit.

Speaker 6 I should have stole that from him. But a 50-piece is still super strong from Austin Reeves.

Speaker 1 Shout out to him.

Speaker 1 Zach, if you need to take tomorrow off to get the throat rested up, you can. Thank you.
Oh. Zach.

Speaker 6 Yes, sir.

Speaker 1 But you don't have to, but if you feel like you need to.

Speaker 4 Appreciate it. All right.

Speaker 5 We have throat days built in here. Yeah.

Speaker 1 You take a throat day.

Speaker 6 Quick throat day. Yeah.

Speaker 1 That was a good time. Yeah, Yeah, you're going to get a throat day, buddy.

Speaker 1 Get ready to learn not talking.

Speaker 1 He's just saying, pause to a muted buddy.

Speaker 1 Pause.

Speaker 1 Okay, good show, boys. You're really going to get a throat day, dude.

Speaker 4 Yeah.

Speaker 5 Get ready to learn throat, buddy.

Speaker 1 Numbers. 74.
Whoa, here we go. Main goal.
Love it. Love it.
Three. Oh,

Speaker 1 that's so distasteful, Hank. 76.
If you get

Speaker 1 a a day,

Speaker 3 oh, man.

Speaker 1 This would be a bad day to get three.

Speaker 3 If I took 74, that would be distasteful.

Speaker 1 That would, but I feel like we could have just vacated three today. But no, now it will.
No, it's all right. I hope you get it.
You have your future quarterback.

Speaker 1 You have a lot of balls on a three, too. Fuck you.

Speaker 1 Now I'm rooting for you to get it.

Speaker 1 You could have taken it.

Speaker 1 What's your guy's number?

Speaker 1 Memes, why didn't that guy told you to guess 69?

Speaker 1 I had so many people ask me.

Speaker 1 No, the mistake was because I was angry and I just took 100.

Speaker 1 13 is the number that came up that got Matthew Schaefer. Ah,

Speaker 1 a lot of people have been telling me to take 13. All right, so I'll take 13.
That came up. Damn it.
That came up on Friday. I'm going to take eight.

Speaker 3 I had so many people come up to me and tell me numbers. I'm always like, yeah, yeah, yeah, I got you.

Speaker 1 All right, what else?

Speaker 1 Zach,

Speaker 6 I'll take uh

Speaker 6 I'll take seven.

Speaker 5 Okay, chillin' brown, 99 pug, 44, 86.

Speaker 1 This feels like a pug day, 44, and what was the other one? 86. And 44 for Jack.

Speaker 1 I'm rooting for 74 moves.

Speaker 5 What a day this would be for me, son.

Speaker 1 97. 97.
You want to do one more?

Speaker 5 Yeah, we do one more. The chest won today.

Speaker 1 Everyone's keep their number.

Speaker 4 Yeah, same number, same number. Same number.

Speaker 1 Jets did one.

Speaker 1 Never going to lose again.

Speaker 1 May never lose again. We have at least two weeks to find that out.

Speaker 1 Fifty-one.

Speaker 1 Is that anyone? No. Fifty-one.

Speaker 1 Love you guys.
