Speaker 2 God bless football, Mikey A.

Speaker 3 God bless football, Fuentes.

Speaker 1 God bless football, Billy.

Speaker 3 I think we all matched energy there. Yeah,

Speaker 2 I did the wrong cadence on that one, but we're working on it. We're working on it.
We'll get this right before Stugatz comes back. He'll be back soon.
He's on assignment this week.

Speaker 2 I'm sure he'll be back maybe next week, probably not next week. By the way, today's episode of God Bless Football is presented by DraftKings.
DraftKings, the crown is yours. Guys,

Speaker 2 hello. How was everybody's week last week? It's been, you know, full seven days since we've spoken to each other.
Lots of things have happened in the world of football.

Speaker 2 We promised some segments we were going to do this week. So, how's your guys' week? How's everybody doing? Before we just get down to the nitty-gritty and start talking some pig skin, some gridiron.

Speaker 3 It's good. And

Speaker 3 the fun thing is, Billy and I, you and I talked yesterday, like early, and we were like, wow, nothing's going on. And then all of a sudden the NFL, as it always does, gives us gifts.

Speaker 1 Yeah. And they gave us things.
Yeah. It's good to talk about.

Speaker 2 One of those things that

Speaker 2 we met earlier in the week. We were doing some planning.
What do we want to talk about? We planned some games around some contracts that had been signed.

Speaker 2 And then, boom, all of a sudden, new contracts are signed. New deals are announced.
We just had to kind of tear up our old script and start anew.

Speaker 2 But hey, good news is this episode probably going to be a better episode than the other episode that that we had planned just because of the news that came out. And speaking of news, guys,

Speaker 2 you want to play our favorite segment? We do it every week. It's called Here's a Headline.

Speaker 3 Nice. Let's do it.
All right.

Speaker 3 Is Here's a Headline brought to us by anybody this week?

Speaker 2 No, not this week.

Speaker 3 Not this week, guys. No, not this week.

Speaker 1 But

Speaker 1 maybe next week.

Speaker 2 Maybe. We'll see what happens.
So, hey, here's a headline.

Speaker 2 After signing Jameis Winston and leading the world to believe that he would be their starting quarterback, the New York Giants then decided to also sign Russell Wilson.

Speaker 2 Now, there had been rumors speculating that the Giants may at the number three spot take a quarterback or even trade up to the number one spot to take a quarterback if they liked one particular quarterback, probably like Cam Ward, who would probably be the number one pick.

Speaker 2 But instead, they said, you know what, we're going to sign Russell Wilson to a one-year deal and broke the heart, even though he hasn't come out and said it, I will say it for him, broke the heart of Jameis Winston, who signed a two-year deal just last week, leading us to believe that he would be the starting quarterback of the New York Giants, because the New York Giants now have Jameis Winston, they now have Russell Wilson, and they have fan favorite Tommy DeVito, who they re-signed, who we thought would be the backup.

Speaker 2 So it would appear as though they are not going to be drafting a quarterback, but you never know. So, gang, what do we think of the New York Giants signing Russell Wilson?

Speaker 3 It certainly has a lot of implications. I don't necessarily believe that it takes them out of drafting a quarterback at number three.
I do think it takes them out of trading up to number one.

Speaker 3 I think those deals pretty much preclude you from making that move. But I think if Shador Sanders is there at three and

Speaker 3 there's the guy they might, the other guy they might want was taken at two, I think they could draft Sanders and put him on the bench for a year behind Russell Wilson.

Speaker 3 The interesting thing about the Wilson and the Winston contracts are

Speaker 3 if neither of them play, they cost like $14 million total between two of them. So you could easily justify spending $14 million on two very high-end backup quarterbacks.

Speaker 1 I get what you're saying about that, but

Speaker 1 actually it makes more sense now that I think about it because they do draft whoever at three, if they're able to get one of the top two guys, because I'm not, are we sure like the Titans might take a quarterback and then the Browns will take a quarterback right those top two picks?

Speaker 3 Yeah, but we're not sure about anything at this point.

Speaker 3 I think the Titans are still leaning Cam Ward.

Speaker 1 Yeah, but so if Cam Ward and Shador Sanders are both gone, then the next guy is Jackson Dart.

Speaker 1 So you might maybe they do trade back because now, like you said, the emphasis is not really there to draft a quarterback.

Speaker 1 And I feel like any quarterback taking the top five, top 10, they have to play right away. That's like how most NFL people feel about it.
So I think it might just be more of an insurance policy.

Speaker 1 So I'm kind of with you there, Mike, because like you said, if Russell Wilson and Jameis never seen the field, they don't really cost too much.

Speaker 1 And especially for a quarterback, 14 million for two quarterbacks dropping the bucket the way that quarterbacks get paid these days. Dropping the bucket.

Speaker 3 Yeah. Here's the, yeah, here's the other incentive that makes me think they're still not out of the, I'm going to call it Shador Sanders at three.
That's, let's just be honest.

Speaker 3 Like, that's who I think it's going to be at three, if, if it's anybody.

Speaker 3 The reason I think that it's still very likely is drafting Shador Sanders at three might buy the GM Joe Shane and the head coach one more year.

Speaker 3 Because if they're in this, they're dangling by, their jobs are dangling by a thread.

Speaker 3 And if they put all their faith in Russell Wilson after what we saw last year and Jameis Winston, what we saw the last decade, then they're pretty much resigned to the fact that they're gone.

Speaker 3 But if they draft Shador and they go, well, you got to give us a chance to develop him a little bit.

Speaker 3 Maybe, maybe they buy themselves one more year.

Speaker 1 Do you think that like Dable and Joe Shane is the other guy, right? Like, I understand Joe Shane inherited Daniel Jones. I guess Dable did too.

Speaker 1 But then, like, Joe Shane gave Daniel Jones the extension, didn't he?

Speaker 1 Well,

Speaker 1 but that's kind of like the quarterback he was in on then because he felt like, oh, this guy's enough, so I'm in on this guy. So maybe Dayball has that leash.
I don't know if Shane does.

Speaker 2 I don't know that he thought that they were in on him. I mean, he did by giving him the contract, but that felt like just it was good enough.
We want to play it.

Speaker 3 Lack of options.

Speaker 2 Exactly. We need to lock up our guy.

Speaker 1 I got to go back and see what's available then because

Speaker 1 you've got to lock up your guy.

Speaker 1 And also, like, Daniel Jones had his best year before, right? He won the playoff game and he duped them into giving them more money.

Speaker 2 Yeah. Can we just take a moment to feel bad for Jameis Winston? Because poor Jameis, I mean,

Speaker 2 it seemed at the time, honestly, like a steal of a signing to the point that I did not understand why it is that Jameis signed a two-year, $8 million deal guaranteed when you see someone like Zach Wilson signing a one-year, $8 million contract in Miami to be their backup quarterback.

Speaker 2 So So Jameis, I thought, sold himself short. I said, you know what?

Speaker 2 This is going to be the greatest contract for a starting quarterback that a team has signed in a long time, just short of the Russell Wilson one last year where the Steelers only had to pay him about a million dollars.

Speaker 2 And I wonder if he knew.

Speaker 2 I wonder if he knew I'm coming in here to be the backup and this is why he agreed to it because, you know, the well was drying up everywhere else, or if he actually thought that he had a shot because it's kind of dirty to sign him there to such a low contract, which is a backup contract, right?

Speaker 2 And then a week later, bring in Russell Wilson, who honestly, I mean, is Russell Wilson a $20 million quarterback in the world where Jameis Winston is a $4 million quarterback?

Speaker 1 So you think that Russell Wilson and Jameis will give you the same amount of wins next year?

Speaker 2 More or less? I don't think that they are $16 million a year apart.

Speaker 1 Yeah, and that is true. But I think some of it's kind of like fan service.
We have to look like, because Jameis Winston is not a name you're going to take seriously as a starting quarterback.

Speaker 2 I want to have him on the Steelers.

Speaker 3 I'd take Jameis Winston in a second.

Speaker 2 Jameis Winston was myself.

Speaker 1 I like Jameis. Yeah, I like your fan.

Speaker 1 I'm with you. I like him more than I like Russell.
Yeah.

Speaker 2 Any other headlines this week?

Speaker 3 I think that's a good question. Yeah.

Speaker 3 Hey, here's a headline. The New England Patriots found their number one receiver.
They signed Stephon Diggs to a three-year $69 million

Speaker 3 deal.

Speaker 3 I'm starting to think of Stephon Stephon Diggs as rich man's Brandon Cooks. It seems like he's kind of have that same

Speaker 3 career trajectory where everywhere he goes, he tells everybody he's the one and gets paid like it, but they just keep shipping him out and they just keep moving on from him.

Speaker 3 This is what his fourth team, the Vikings, the Texans, the Bills, and now the Patriots.

Speaker 3 I guess it helps them a little bit. I mean, it gives them at least somebody that's a little more dynamic than Mac Collins for Drake May.
But

Speaker 3 I don't know. Stephon Diggs never scared me when he was in the division with the Bills, and he still doesn't with the Patriots.

Speaker 2 The thing with Stephon Diggs is, as you mentioned, he's coming off of injury, and he prior to injury was kind of a disappointment last year in Houston.

Speaker 2 He did get injured fairly early on, so we didn't get a full season of Stephon Diggs by any means. He is coming in, and he will obviously be better than Kendrick Bourne.

Speaker 2 He'll be better than DeMario Douglas.

Speaker 2 Mac Hollins, they just signed. Again, weird thing.
Kind of felt bad for Mac Collins. Mac Hollins signed the lesser deal there.

Speaker 2 And then sure enough, he thought like, oh, you know, maybe they don't have a lot of money. And boom, Stephon Diggs, crazy money.

Speaker 2 And three years seems like a long time to give Stephon Diggs when it's really been a minute since he's been a proven number one.

Speaker 2 And that's what they're bringing him in to be as a number one for the Patriots.

Speaker 1 We keep saying that, that it's been a long time since he's been approved number one. He had the four years in Buffalo, he had 127 receptions, 103, 108, 107, four consecutive thousand-yard seasons.

Speaker 1 Like, he was really good still at the Bills. He's just 31 years old coming off the battlefield.
Yeah, but he was really good.

Speaker 3 They essentially changed offensive coordinators and said, Stephon Diggs, you're no longer the one. And then all of a sudden, Buffalo took off.
They won like six games in a row that year.

Speaker 3 Yeah, but it was something ridiculous. Also, the numbers are there.
As soon as they said, you know what, Diggs isn't the focus, Josh Allen.

Speaker 2 Yeah, but like the numbers are also there because he was the option

Speaker 2 in Buffalo.

Speaker 1 And while he was there,

Speaker 2 yeah, but while he was there, everyone was talking about, is he actually a number one quarterback? And they kind of was like, not really.

Speaker 1 No, you mean number one receiver for Allen?

Speaker 2 No, on a team. Can he be a number one on a team, which is why he wasn't.

Speaker 1 He had been a number one on a team. Like his worst years were actually in Minnesota.
He took off, which, of course, is the Josh Allen effect, right? But I mean, he still caught the ball.

Speaker 1 Over a thousand yards. He can't receive it for more and a hundred receptions.
Like his touchdowns were kind of low the last year. He only had eight.
And then he had almost almost 500 yards.

Speaker 1 He had 496 before he got hurt. Yeah, no, as a third option.

Speaker 2 He was a number one because they needed him to be the number one, right?

Speaker 2 It was just a question of is he actually a number one? And now we're two years removed and an injury removed from that. And the Patriots are bringing him in to be the number one.

Speaker 1 Seems like a lot of excuse making for Josh Allener for being freaking correct.

Speaker 1 Listen. Yeah, seems like a lot of excuse making.
Listen. It's Billy's buddy.
Listen. He's going to the wedding.
Well, no.

Speaker 2 Listen, here's the thing. You do wonder when that's going to catch up, right? When it's going to be like,

Speaker 2 Josh. And

Speaker 2 he has somewhat been bailed out by the fact that they don't actually get him very many weapons. But at a certain point, you're like,

Speaker 1 he's the Kyle Shanahana quarterback. He doesn't really want a first receiver.

Speaker 1 Some are saying. Amari Cooper, like, okay, thanks.

Speaker 2 This is nice. But is this going to be a difference maker? I don't know.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I'd rather have Stephon Diggs than Amari Cooper right now, for being honest.
Well, I don't necessarily disagree with you entirely.

Speaker 1 I don't necessarily disagree with you entirely.

Speaker 2 I roll the dice at DeAndre Hopkins. I just love a name.
I'm not going to lie.

Speaker 1 love a name he's a proven commodity

Speaker 1 by the way that guy that's why they got amari cooper honestly is just because he was a name it's like well nobody likes just having shakira right so is amari cooper available i mean get him for cheap yeah he doesn't want to be in cleveland anymore get him over here

Speaker 2 anyways when we come back we teased this last week and we're bringing it back this week god bless footballs bracket bonanza this is something we do every year during march madness because of course why wouldn't we everybody's talking about the brackets and we said you know what we can have our own brackets bonanza.

Speaker 2 When we come back, God bless football's bracket bonanza.

Speaker 2 Guys, God bless football is presented by Smirnoff. We do game days.
Please drink responsibly. The Smirnoff company, New York, New York.

Speaker 2 Last time we dilly-dallied a little bit and then realized that our bracket bonanza took a lot longer than expected. And we did, you know, one through seven.
We had buys and then we talked it out.

Speaker 2 We said, you know what, we really need to do if we're going to be true to the bracket bonanza, as we are every time this year,

Speaker 2 let's do one through 16 in each conference. Every team makes the playoffs.
Everyone's on a bracket. Let's see how all of these teams getting in there might mix things up.
So

Speaker 2 we've ranked the teams one through 16 in the AFC and in the NFC. And it's time for a new edition of God Bless Football's Bracket Bonanza

Speaker 2 presented by Smirnoff, the world's number one vodka. Please drink responsibly.

Speaker 2 Okay, gang, so I have here 1 versus 16, 8 versus 9, 5 versus 12, 4 versus 13, 6 versus 11, 3, 14, 7, 10, 2, 15, like every bracket that you have at this time of the year.

Speaker 2 Have one for the AFC, have one for the NFC.

Speaker 2 I think, in the interest of saving time, we don't need to go through the 1 through 16s and reveal that. We just reveal the matchup so that we can kind of expedite this process a little bit.

Speaker 2 So would you like to start in the AFC or the NFC this week?

Speaker 3 AFC.

Speaker 2 All right. We're going to start in the AFC.
Definitive.

Speaker 2 Now, do we want to start 1 versus 16 or do we want to build up to that?

Speaker 3 Go 116.

Speaker 1 Okay, cool.

Speaker 2 So we're going to start with the 1 versus 16 seed. Now, they have the number one pick in the draft.
At the moment, the Tennessee Tight ends, and they are not the number one seed.

Speaker 2 They will be the number 16 seed, taking on last week's number one seed, the Buffalo Bills. We don't know what they're going to do in the draft.

Speaker 2 We assume if they stay with that pick, they will take Cam Ward, but they also may trade that pick and get some assets and then try to rebuild their team. They still have Will Levis there.

Speaker 2 So do we believe that the 16-seeded Tennessee Titans will upset the number one-seeded Buffalo Bills?

Speaker 3 Neutral field?

Speaker 2 No,

Speaker 2 it's going to be like in a New York return.

Speaker 3 Okay. All right, then, yeah, give me a buffalo.

Speaker 2 All right, so the Search. Not that it matters.
Yeah, the Bills will be moving on. Fuentes, do you agree with this?

Speaker 1 Yes, but mainly because I forgot Will Levis in the NFL until right now when you mentioned him. Okay.
So I was already thinking of Cam Ward was a quarterback of the Titans.

Speaker 1 All right, well, so Bills are moving on.

Speaker 2 We assume it might be one of those two quarterbacks. Then we go on to the eight versus nine.
This is where things get interesting.

Speaker 2 The number eight-seeded Texans take on the number nine-seeded Dolphins.

Speaker 1 Both teams.

Speaker 2 Both teams missing your standard playoff, but because it's 1 through 16, they're both still alive in this one. Who do we think is going to win that one?

Speaker 2 Texans, Dolphins. Tua has gotten a lot of attention lately for going out and partying on boats.

Speaker 2 He was actually on a boat with his family and Baker Mayfield and Baker Mayfield's family, which is kind of interesting.

Speaker 2 Who do we like here?

Speaker 3 So I was going to pick the Texans until you told me Tua was hanging out with Baker. He's learning how to win.
Give me the Dolphins. Wow.

Speaker 1 Funtes. I like that take.
I like that take. It was going to be a push.
I feel like CJ Stroud's on the decline.

Speaker 1 That's right. Tua's going to kill her in the middle.

Speaker 3 CJ Stroud doesn't want to curse anymore. Yeah, he's not.
That's apparently his new thing.

Speaker 3 And Tua's learning how to hang with Baker.

Speaker 1 Yep. Give me the Dolphins.
Tua's Baker Edge, Edge, the Baker Edge.

Speaker 2 Dolphins moving on. We have the number five-seeded Chargers against the new look, number 12-seeded Las Vegas Raiders.

Speaker 3 Ooh.

Speaker 3 Yeah, give me the Chargers.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I like the Chargers. Okay, I was going to say, could this be where we get our first upset?

Speaker 3 I want to pick an upset. I'm itching to pick an upset.

Speaker 1 Yeah, but Aiden O'Connell, I'm not doing that.

Speaker 3 That's not it.

Speaker 1 Maybe this is the matchup where we see our first upset.

Speaker 2 The number four-seeded Baker Smith

Speaker 2 against the number three-seeded Jaguars.

Speaker 1 That's right. I forgot about Geno Smith.
Thank you.

Speaker 2 The new look, Jaguars, also with their head coach. They still have Trevor Lawrence, but they have a new coach, new GM.

Speaker 1 That's the problem. I don't even know who you said.
I think it was the Bengals. I'll take the Bengals because I don't trust Trevor Lawrence.
Okay, well, Bengals also just.

Speaker 3 I told you I'm itching to pick an upset, but it's not here.

Speaker 2 Yeah, I was going to take the Bengals, too. Okay, number six Broncos against the number 11 Colts.

Speaker 1 I was going to say, give me the horsies, the Gulf Horsies. Give me the Broncos.
I like Vonix. All right.

Speaker 2 Mikey A, you agree?

Speaker 3 Oh, man.

Speaker 3 Yeah. Give me the Broncos.

Speaker 2 All right, Broncos. The number three Ravens against the number 14 Jets.

Speaker 3 Oh, this.

Speaker 2 I'm just going to write Ravens in the middle of the moment.

Speaker 3 Justin Fields. Okay.
Come on, man.

Speaker 2 Now, now, let's see what happens because I believe that they fell a little bit in this week's rankings from last week's rankings. The number seven Patriots were a playoff team last week.

Speaker 2 They're staying strong in number seven. However,

Speaker 2 because of the fact that Russell Wilson Wilson signed with the New York Giants, he is no longer an option in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 2 And it seems as though the only option left at the moment is Aaron Rodgers going to the Steelers, which he doesn't seem to want to do. So the number seven Patriots against the number 10 Steelers.

Speaker 2 Who do we like?

Speaker 3 I'm going to take the number seven Patriots because Aaron Rodgers still hasn't gone there. If Rodgers goes there,

Speaker 3 I might change my answer. Wow.

Speaker 1 Can we take a second to

Speaker 1 if Aaron Rodgers goes to the Steelers, the combination of George Pickens,

Speaker 1 DK Metcalf, Aaron Rodgers, and then Mike Tomlin trying to wrestle it all together? Yeah. That's going to be amazing.

Speaker 1 I really hope it happens, but it since it has not happened yet, I will stick to the story. Well, no, hold on.

Speaker 2 You could pick the Steelers hoping that it happens. It doesn't have to be if the season ended today.
That's a different segment.

Speaker 1 Mike, we've agreed on everything so far, right? Yeah. So

Speaker 1 I'll take the Steelers just so Billy has to throw in his hat on this.

Speaker 2 You know what?

Speaker 1 I'll take the Steelers too. There you you go.
Crazy wins. Wow.
Yeah, well, because the next round is the Chiefs against

Speaker 2 OK. The next one is number two Chiefs against the number 15 Browns, and the Browns are not going to beat the Chiefs, so we don't even need to bother waiting for the family.

Speaker 3 Kenny Pickett, come on.

Speaker 3 Super Bowl champion, Kenny Pickett.

Speaker 2 Do you guys see the rumors that the Browns are very interested in Kirk Cousins heading over there?

Speaker 2 Yeah. I don't know if that's going to change anything, but I'm just going to say that.

Speaker 3 I don't think they can make the trade because the Falcons have already paid such a big sum.

Speaker 2 it doesn't help them to move him at this point all right let's head over to the nfc for the first round the number one eagles against the number 16

Speaker 2 49ers

Speaker 1 what

Speaker 1 yeah

Speaker 3 16 40 you know what give me the 49ers in the biggest upset wow just because you put them at 16.

Speaker 2 that was a committee not me number one eagles against the 16 49ers i think i'm gonna go with the eagles i can't stand with the

Speaker 3 i mean the eagles are so good but Brock Purdy.

Speaker 3 The disrespect.

Speaker 2 Yeah, Brock Purdy, Brandon Ayuk.

Speaker 1 Oh, George Kittle still there, too. No, I guess it's not that bad.

Speaker 3 Christian McCaffrey.

Speaker 1 No, no, I'm sticking with the Eagles. All right.

Speaker 2 I, too, am going to pick the Eagles.

Speaker 2 We had a chance at a 16-1 there, but it didn't pan out.

Speaker 3 Okay, I'm picking an upset here.

Speaker 2 We have a number eight Seahawks against the number nine Falcons.

Speaker 1 Falcons. Falcons.
There's your upset.

Speaker 2 Okay, there we go.

Speaker 3 Apparently, that's not an upset.

Speaker 1 Not eight, nine.

Speaker 3 That's

Speaker 3 technically it is.

Speaker 1 Technically, it is. Well, friends, this one might get a little interesting.

Speaker 2 The number five Rams against the number 12 Panthers.

Speaker 3 Is this the year? Is this the year?

Speaker 1 I had said. Is this the year, Bryce Young? I had said.

Speaker 3 Is this a year, Bryce Young?

Speaker 1 I said I liked Bryce Young.

Speaker 3 I say it is. Give me the Panthers.

Speaker 2 But hold on. Fuentes, as we all know, is also an LA guy.

Speaker 1 I had said before. I know.
Big L.A. guy.
I had said before this, Billy put me in a corner. I knew it was going to happen.

Speaker 1 I know. He's so good.

Speaker 3 He did so good.

Speaker 1 I like the Panthers. I know.
I like Bryce Young. I feel like they're rising.
They can make a deep run. But then I'm a Rams guy.

Speaker 1 And I think Devontae Adams and Matt Stafford and the soon-to-be-retired Puka Nakua are going to do something there with Kyron Williams. Rams.
Give me the Rams.

Speaker 2 Crazy story, by the way. Puka just saying I'm going to retire at 30.
Also, spoiler alert, he will not unless he's injured, which we're hoping that's not the case. I'm going to go with the Rams, too.

Speaker 2 So the Rams are moving on, I guess, next year. We're a year away from the Panthers.
The number four Lions against the number 13

Speaker 2 Cardinals.

Speaker 1 Give me the Cardinals. Really? Yeah, give me the Cardinals.
Wow. Lost Ben Johnson.
You know. They lost all the coaches.
All the swag is gone. The kneecap stuff's over.
Kyler Murray rising. Let's go.

Speaker 3 I'm sorry. The swag is gone.
Last I checked, Dan Campbell's still there. Give me the Lions.

Speaker 2 You know what? I think in a close one,

Speaker 2 we go Cardinals here.

Speaker 3 oh you got upset yeah crazy I'm picking all the upsets and then you pick the one time I don't go ahead number six Packers against number 11 Cowboys

Speaker 2 I saw Dak at an Ascar race this weekend I'll just tell you that he was in a walking boot still he was invited as a guest of one of the teams he was watching the race from the pit

Speaker 2 And to watch the race from the pits, if you're like an invited guest, you get to sit like in their setup. Now, their setup requires you to climb a ladder to get up to the seat.

Speaker 2 I didn't see him climb the ladder, but I saw him up there sitting there. So he got up there somehow.
Just going to say that in terms of his health.

Speaker 3 I'm glad he got up there.

Speaker 3 Give me the Packers.

Speaker 2 Okay.

Speaker 2 Fuentes?

Speaker 1 I will also say the Packers.

Speaker 2 Yeah, okay. Number three, the Bucs against the number 14 Saints.

Speaker 3 Baker.

Speaker 1 Yeah,

Speaker 1 it'd be funny if I gave the Dolphins an edge because Tuola is next to Baker, but then I don't give Baker the same edge out, so give me the butts.

Speaker 1 All right, now

Speaker 2 we have the number seven Bears. Now,

Speaker 2 you've been high on the Bears, I will say, and you have sold us on the Bears the entire offseason.

Speaker 2 You think that the Bears are going to make a difference here and that the Bears are going to have a big year.

Speaker 2 Yet to be seen here with the Bears. Sure.
But we have the number seven Bears.

Speaker 2 And this one is a bit of a surprise against the number 10 Vikings.

Speaker 2 Wow.

Speaker 3 Wasn't ready for the Vikings.

Speaker 2 J.J. McCarthy.
J.J. McCarthy is a big question mark, but they've said they're sticking with him at the moment.
So they fell a little bit in the rankings here. So the Bears against the Vikings.

Speaker 3 Everything

Speaker 3 that

Speaker 3 Kevin O'Connell O'Connell does seems to work,

Speaker 3 at least in the regular season.

Speaker 3 This is the playoffs. The Bears added so much to their offensive line that they could win based on that.
Give me the Bears.

Speaker 2 Wow, Fuentes.

Speaker 1 I will also go with the Bears because of the offensive line additions. And Ben Johnson is now the quarterback, the head coach there.
I was already a believer in Caleb Williams. And

Speaker 1 I do like the Vikings. I love Justin Jefferson, but just the J.J.
McCarthy question mark is too big right now.

Speaker 2 Shocking to see them at 10. Yeah.
They're out in the first round.

Speaker 1 It's a big choice from the committee.

Speaker 2 I know. I mean, if they would have been a four,

Speaker 3 they probably would be. It's almost like the committee picked games to make sure that we had to play.

Speaker 2 Or it's almost like the committee ranked the Panthers twice and had to find which team was. Yeah, that happens sometimes.

Speaker 1 But you know what? You know what it is? Is that in these one-off scenarios? You never know.

Speaker 2 Yeah. You just never know.
All right. The number two commanders against the number 15 Cowboys.

Speaker 3 Didn't we just do the Cowboys?

Speaker 1 Cowboys twice, huh? All right, well, that's the one.

Speaker 3 Yeah, Cowboys twice, too.

Speaker 2 What's going on here?

Speaker 3 Whoever it is, I take the commander.

Speaker 1 The commanders, yeah, it's the commanders.

Speaker 2 You know what? It's the Giants.

Speaker 1 Oh, the Commander. Russell Wilson.
The Giants. Russell Wilson is not enough to get over the Commanders.

Speaker 2 Yeah, it's the Giants. The Commanders against

Speaker 1 the Giants.

Speaker 2 All right, we'll stick with the Commanders.

Speaker 1 Unless Jameis is playing, then you never know. It's a small committee.

Speaker 2 It's hard sometimes keeping track of that.

Speaker 3 The committee better get a list next time.

Speaker 2 Yeah, I mean, the committee's actually looking at a list right here in front of it. It's weird, and then still making

Speaker 2 the committee's not going to point any fingers.

Speaker 1 It's been a long day for the committee.

Speaker 2 All right, the number one Bills against the number nine Dolphins.

Speaker 2 This one just seems very obvious. I'm just going to rate the Bills.

Speaker 1 We don't need to.

Speaker 1 It's a grudge match. We've seen this game a lot.

Speaker 2 Is this the game that the Dolphins until get over the home?

Speaker 1 This is the game where he had the Baker's wagon

Speaker 1 to a Baker.

Speaker 2 You want to go with the Oltons?

Speaker 1 I don't want to go to Homer or the Bills. I'm going to go with Bills.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 2 All right. The number five Chargers and the number four Bengals.

Speaker 3 I picked the Chargers last time.

Speaker 3 We got some stuff for it on Twitter.

Speaker 3 I'm not going to change it now. Give me the Bengals.

Speaker 1 Wow.

Speaker 3 I mean, give me the Chargers. Give me the Chargers.

Speaker 1 I think that it's really great that they kept the offense together for Joe, but who's going to have

Speaker 1 a guy on defense? Yeah. You brought

Speaker 1 better. Exactly.

Speaker 1 I like the Bengals. I like Joe Burrow.
He just has to outscore everybody. And I don't know if I can always do that.

Speaker 2 For the record, I was going to go Bengals there, but that's fine. All right.
The number six Broncos against the number three Ravens.

Speaker 3 I want to pick the upset. I can't.
Give me the Ravens.

Speaker 2 You're going to go Ravens? Okay. Fuentes.

Speaker 2 You're a big bow guy.

Speaker 1 I am. But

Speaker 1 I'm going to go with the Ravens. All right.
Mamar Jackson is too good.

Speaker 2 Okay. And then we have the number 10 Steelers, one of the upsets in the first round against the number two Chiefs.

Speaker 3 Chiefs.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 All right, Chiefs.

Speaker 1 Not a lot of analysis on the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 So right now, the AFC's Bills, Chargers, Ravens, Chiefs in the next round. Not exactly exciting.
Okay, we have the number one Eagles against the number nine Falcons.

Speaker 3 Eagles. Eagles.

Speaker 1 Wow. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Unless Michael Pennix takes a jump, but Eagles almost

Speaker 2 first round to the number 16-seeded 49ers.

Speaker 1 It was a close one, but they survived. It's Robin Advance.

Speaker 2 All right, the number five Rams against the number 13 Cardinals.

Speaker 3 Give me the Cardinals.

Speaker 1 Wow.

Speaker 2 I'll give you a reason.

Speaker 3 Give you a reason, Mike. Everybody on the Rams is going to retire.

Speaker 2 Yeah, I'm going to go Cardinals too. I think Kyler kind of finally takes that step.
The defense starts.

Speaker 3 Kyler takes the step.

Speaker 2 Yeah, you know us. We're big fans of the Rollis defense.

Speaker 3 Yeah, the Rolls defense.

Speaker 3 That thing started really playing well towards towards the end of the year.

Speaker 2 All right, I'm going to go number six Packers against the number three Bucs.

Speaker 3 I'm going to go. Give me the Bucks.

Speaker 1 Yeah, give me the Bucks. Give me the Bucks.
Give me the Bucks.

Speaker 1 I actually like that they kept Chris Godwin, honestly.

Speaker 3 I think it's big for them.

Speaker 1 I think it's big for Baker, too. You've got to keep him with guys that he knows and can move the ball.

Speaker 3 They're going to have a better running game this year, correct?

Speaker 2 This one, I believe, would be our Sunday night matchup of the weekend. This would be the biggest game.
The number seven Bears against the number two commanders.

Speaker 1 Ooh.

Speaker 1 Matchup of the weekend. A matchup of one and two pick from 2024? The first two picks?

Speaker 3 Yep. Number two pick wins at that.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Ooh, you think so?

Speaker 3 Give me the commanders.

Speaker 1 With the Debo Samuel commanders? I'm going to say the Bears.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean, I really believe in Ben Johnson. I believe in Ben Johnson.
I believe in the offensive line. Let's do it.

Speaker 3 I believe in Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator, not necessarily Ben Johnson, the head coach.

Speaker 2 This is a tricky one because I am known around some parts as Bare Down Billy.

Speaker 1 It's fighting against you. You are.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 You were also a Cardinals guy.

Speaker 2 Yeah, I was part of the Bird Gang. Yeah, the Bird Gang.
As we all know.

Speaker 3 Wow. Can't wait to see you tighten up.

Speaker 2 Oh, I'm going to be tightening up. It's so hard.
Tighten up. Whether, you know, whether they have the number one pick or not, we will be tightening up.
We will be tightened up. Now, unfortunately,

Speaker 2 to my good friends in Chicago, I'm going to go Commanders on this one. The Commanders.

Speaker 1 Yeah, Commanders. The Commies.
Well, okay. All right.

Speaker 2 We're going to head over the number one Bills against the number five Chargers.

Speaker 3 Upset.

Speaker 2 Really? Same.

Speaker 3 Upset.

Speaker 1 Wow.

Speaker 3 Oh, upset. Chargers.

Speaker 2 Chargers. Man.
All right. I didn't.

Speaker 1 I'm not even going to have a chance. Josh Allen can't find anybody and he can't do it all by himself.
Eventually a Chargers will hit. John Harbaugh.
Is it John or Jim there?

Speaker 2 Jim.

Speaker 1 Jim Harbaugh. He finds a way to power his guys through the Chargers defense.
Stop Josh Allen.

Speaker 2 Okay, just banged on the table. All right.
We're going to go with the number three Ravens against the number two Chiefs.

Speaker 3 Chiefs.

Speaker 1 We know how this goes. It's the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 Really? We know how this goes. We've seen this.
We've seen this

Speaker 3 almost every year for the last five or six years.

Speaker 2 I mean, it's looked different last year, though.

Speaker 1 Yeah, but we're

Speaker 3 until it didn't.

Speaker 1 Until it didn't. But we're like in movie number one.

Speaker 3 Well, I was talking about the Ravens. Yeah.
We've seen it every year. That's

Speaker 3 until they do it.

Speaker 2 No. All right.
We have the number one Eagles against against the number 13 Cardinals.

Speaker 3 You know, I'm going to say upset, right? No,

Speaker 3 give me the Eagles. Give me the Eagles.

Speaker 1 Quentins?

Speaker 1 Damn, Eagles. All right, the Eagles.

Speaker 2 You almost put me in a spot there because I'm

Speaker 1 sitting in

Speaker 3 the 49ers in. All right.

Speaker 1 Put the 49ers in.

Speaker 2 The number three Bucs against the number two Commanders.

Speaker 3 I have such a special place. This is

Speaker 1 a really good for Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 3 I have such a special place in my heart for Baker Mayfield. Give me the Commanders.
Yeah,

Speaker 3 that hurt. I'm sorry, Baker.

Speaker 1 I keep thinking about Jaden Daniels in the playoffs and how good he was. And yeah, just give me Jaden Daniels.

Speaker 2 What I don't understand is how you had the Bears beating the Commanders, but not Baker and the Bucs.

Speaker 1 Because now I believe. Because you saw it happen.
They're forge and fire. Yeah.

Speaker 2 Okay, those Commanders. It is.

Speaker 3 Iron sharpens iron.

Speaker 2 Yeah. So just so that we're all on the same page, we have a one seed, a two seed, a two seed, and a five five-seed.
So really only one surprise now in the final four.

Speaker 2 It's the number five Chargers against the number two Kansas City Chiefs.

Speaker 1 Chiefs Kingdom.

Speaker 1 Chiefs Kingdom. The AFC dominance continues.

Speaker 3 Unbelievable. You know what? No.
Give me the Chargers. Give me the Chargers.
Jim Harbaugh has him going in year two.

Speaker 1 Billy, pick the Chiefs again.

Speaker 2 I'm going with the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 Yeah, well, that's kind of what I want. That's kind of what I want.

Speaker 1 I wanted Billy to pick.

Speaker 2 I mean,

Speaker 2 we don't need to break it down any further. The Chiefs, it is.
And then we have the number one seeded Eagles against the number two Commanders.

Speaker 3 Commanders. Yeah, Commanders.

Speaker 1 Oh, okay. I'm getting it.

Speaker 3 Oh, wow.

Speaker 1 They got seasoned over the year, and they're over the

Speaker 1 little seasoning, and boom, there you go.

Speaker 2 We now have a situation.

Speaker 3 Oh, because the Tush Bush is banned.

Speaker 2 The number two Chiefs against the number two Commanders in the championship game of God Bless Football's Bracket Bonanza.

Speaker 1 Reveal it on the other side of the break. Okay, when we come back,

Speaker 2 we reveal the champion of God Bless Football's Bracket Bonanza.

Speaker 2 I think that that is the first time that we've done that, right? Just tease the end of one segment, headed into Star Wars.

Speaker 3 Did we do it last week?

Speaker 1 No, I split a segment in half because we ran out of time, and then you guys dogged me for it mercilessly.

Speaker 1 To not like reach over. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah.
But we didn't tease,

Speaker 2 right? Is that the difference?

Speaker 1 No, no, that was just like me breaking it up because I was scared about time because

Speaker 1 TV production stuff.

Speaker 2 You need to not worry so much about that, you know? I know.

Speaker 2 Don't stress yourself. Don't kill yourself over it.
It's fine. We'll get to it.

Speaker 1 We'll get to the winner winner of Bracket Bonanza when we get to it.

Speaker 2 We don't need to rush into it. I mean, we have more games to play.
We have more Mikely that we haven't done this week. So, I mean, we have time.

Speaker 2 Do you want to get to the winner of Bracket Bonanza here or do you want to do more Mikely first?

Speaker 2 Let's get to the winner of Bracket Bonanza here.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, we got to give it to the people.

Speaker 1 They want it.

Speaker 2 They do want it. So all we have left is a number two in the AFC, the Chiefs against number two in the NFC, the Commanders,

Speaker 2 which I believe, and I'd have to check the tapes, might have been the exact same championship that we ended up with last week.

Speaker 2 So, really, when we added all of the teams in here, it ended up kind of with the same results. We just got more games for the sake of having games and fun.

Speaker 2 But hopefully, no one was injured in our fictitious games, and we're all good for next season. So, with that all being said, number two Chiefs against the number two commanders.

Speaker 2 Who do we have winning? Bracket Bonanza. Mikey,

Speaker 3 after careful consideration, I've decided

Speaker 3 that I think it's time for some new blood in the winner circle. It's time for a new Goliath to take over in the NFL.
And I'm going to say that that is going to be the Washington Commanders.

Speaker 3 They win the game. Wow.

Speaker 1 I also think it's new time for a new champion.

Speaker 1 And

Speaker 1 after last season's disappointment,

Speaker 1 the Kansas City Chiefs raise from the fire like a Phoenix. Wow.
Chiefs' kingdom rises. They said we didn't get the three-peat, but we're back.

Speaker 1 And we're getting our third title in four years, Patrick Mahomes, once again, Reigns Supreme. Wow.

Speaker 2 So now I have to decide the winner.

Speaker 1 That was the whole point of my choice.

Speaker 2 Well, I was kind of hoping that it would have been settled before me, because now I'm also in a situation where, you know, we were part of Chiefs' Kingdom.

Speaker 2 We were taken in by the Chiefs' Kingdom, by Ed and his family. Lovely place.
I would hate to pick against the Chiefs. The Commanders, though, I mean,

Speaker 2 they were a force last season, and they've they've been a force through this entire fictitious season and through this entire tournament. I mean, look at the runs that the Commanders went on.

Speaker 2 Commanders had to get through the Giants, which at one time were the Cowboys. They had to get through the Bears.

Speaker 1 They had to beat them both through the Bucs.

Speaker 2 And now,

Speaker 2 you know, they had to beat the Eagles. I mean, a murderer's row.
This is probably the hardest.

Speaker 2 If you look at the brackets, I think that the Commanders might have had the hardest bracket getting through Bears, Bucs, Eagles, and then the Giants. That was an easy one.

Speaker 3 And Cowboys. They had to beat the entire NFC East.

Speaker 2 Where the Chiefs got through the Browns, the Steelers team, though we're not sure really who their quarterback is at the moment. The Ravens was a tough one.
The Chargers, I mean,

Speaker 2 Herbert Herberted, and that was that in that game. Not a close, fictitious game.
So the Chiefs had a bit of an easier path.

Speaker 2 Now, because the Commanders face so much adversity, did that sharpen them? Was that iron sharpening iron, or did that wear them down?

Speaker 2 And the Chiefs came in rested and saw a team that now a bit depleted because of all the adversity that they had to face throughout the brackets bonanza.

Speaker 3 Austin Eckler is still also on the commanders.

Speaker 2 It's a question that we all had to

Speaker 3 wonder.

Speaker 2 Yeah, Austin's there, but

Speaker 1 what you have to do is look inside yourself.

Speaker 2 Did somewhat blow us off at the end of that season.

Speaker 1 Yeah, and they all's come back never did.

Speaker 2 Look within ourselves, you're saying.

Speaker 1 Yeah, look within yourself.

Speaker 1 Look within yourself.

Speaker 1 What would happen to you if you were a commander?

Speaker 2 If I was a commander, we would lose very quickly.

Speaker 2 If I was on the commanders' team fielding in the Brackets Bonanza Championship game, I was playing in that game, my team would lose.

Speaker 1 Honestly, if any of us were on the commanders, I'd have to question ownership. Why are we there? It's a great question.
There's no reason for us to be there.

Speaker 2 We're not athletic. You know what? Not at all.

Speaker 3 Wait a second. Wait a second.

Speaker 2 So hold on.

Speaker 3 Tell me they don't want a high school, all-conference, all-county player that was a long time ago mikey and what's that's their problem

Speaker 2 you who was an all-county player in what sport you or mikey really

Speaker 2 what position

Speaker 3 all of them wow i never came off the field well

Speaker 2 okay well so are you on the commanders are you not on the commanders because this is going to impact my answer here i'm going to say i'm not on the commanders because i'm also 40.

Speaker 2 okay well i unfortunately for the commanders am on the commanders in this scenario and for that reason i'm going to be taking the Chiefs to win our bracket bonanza. Yeah.
Good choice.

Speaker 2 It was just a situation where what it came down to was I was on one of the teams and I did not have enough faith in leadership and management that said I should be on the team.

Speaker 3 Started a coup.

Speaker 1 It makes you question the whole damn thing, honestly.

Speaker 2 The commanders put me on their team and we had a glorious run. It was fine.
It was fun. We beat the Giants slash Cowboys, the Bears.
We beat the Bucks. We beat the Eagles.
But you know what?

Speaker 2 Clock struck midnight on that one. You can only win so many games when Billy Gill is on your team.
So the Chiefs are the winners of our second week.

Speaker 3 Congratulations.

Speaker 2 Brackets Bonanza. Congratulations.

Speaker 1 One time for the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 I don't think we even need to play the season now. I mean, which is bad because I enjoy Sundays during the season.

Speaker 2 I'd like if we did play the season. I don't even think we need to play it anymore.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 3 We already know.

Speaker 1 Well,

Speaker 2 that's going to wrap up Brackett's Bonanza there. I'm glad that we took two segments and we didn't waste too much time on it and we gave it the proper time needed.

Speaker 2 It's time for a new edition of More Mikely.

Speaker 3 All right. We'll start easy.
Who is more Mikely to be comeback player of the year? Aiden Hutchinson, Christian McCaffrey, or Dak Prescott?

Speaker 1 Ooh.

Speaker 2 I'm going to go first. I'm going to say Aiden Hutchinson because I feel like Christian McCaffrey is going to get injured again because Christian McCaffrey is always getting injured.
He does that.

Speaker 2 And Dak Prescott, man, I think that people would want to see Dak Prescott win it, but

Speaker 2 I'm going to go with Aiden. I think I'm going to go with Aiden on this one.

Speaker 3 He was on his way to Defensive Player of the Year.

Speaker 2 Yeah, he was having a great year.

Speaker 3 Prior to

Speaker 2 his injury primed him for winning an award this season, which is going to be comeback player of the year, I think.

Speaker 1 I'm going to disqualify Christian McCaffrey right away.

Speaker 2 For the same reason?

Speaker 1 No, because he's a running back.

Speaker 1 And Sam, like Saquon Barkley, ran for 2,000 yards this year, and nobody even cared that he was even close in MVP voting. So we just don't really care what running backs do.

Speaker 1 And also, he could very easily get injured. People are going to want to give it to Dak because he's a quarterback.
Yeah, and a cowboy. And a cowboy.

Speaker 1 But that also means he has to have an exceptional year. And I think it's just probably be easier for Aiden Hutcherson to have an exceptional year as compared to Dak.

Speaker 3 So I'm going to say. But they're also going to then give it to a defensive player?

Speaker 1 No, no, no. What I'm saying is that they'll most likely give it to Aiden because Aiden can have an

Speaker 1 this is unfair comparison, but he would have a year that's probably easier to win comeback player of the year compared to Dak, who has to have basically an MVP season to be

Speaker 2 can I can I throw can I throw in

Speaker 2 can I throw in another factor here? I think a prediction if Dak wins comeback player of the year

Speaker 2 I think that Aiden Hutchinson will win Walter Payton man of the year.

Speaker 2 Wow. Because I feel like we want to give him an award.
So I think we may be in a scenario

Speaker 2 where, yeah, he's going to win something. If it's not Defensive Player of the Year, Hutchinson's not leaving that night without hardware.
That's my prediction right now.

Speaker 1 Okay. Is it dependent on another one? Is it dependent on the Lions being good, though? What if they fall off a cliff?

Speaker 2 I don't think that matters that much, especially not for Walter Payton.

Speaker 1 No, Walter Payton doesn't matter for any other award. Yeah.

Speaker 2 Okay. Sorry, Mikey.
Go on.

Speaker 1 No, no problem.

Speaker 3 My next more Mikely is aimed at Fuentes because I have a feeling this one's going to be a little harder for you to answer.

Speaker 3 More likely to have a better season in 2025 than they did in 2024. Saquon Barkley with his 2,000 rushing yards or Sam Darnold with his 4,300 passing yards.

Speaker 2 Yikes.

Speaker 1 More likely to have a better year than they did last year. It's almost impossible for Saquon to have a better year.

Speaker 1 And, you know, shout out to Saquon and the Eagles because we had said on this very program that he needed to win the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 Because if he didn't win the Super Bowl and they didn't let him break the record, it would have been a big year of nothing.

Speaker 1 But they won the Super Bowl. So that worked for them.

Speaker 3 It has to be, it has to be Sam Darnold. But Sam Darnold going to the Seahawks where they have JSN and nobody else?

Speaker 1 I am going to say career year incoming for Jackson Smith and Jigba. Wow.
Yeah. But at the same time, it's almost impossible for Saquon to have a better year.

Speaker 1 So I'm going to say more likely Sam Darnold.

Speaker 1 Even though I don't, like, I think Saquon ultimately has a better year. I think Saquon has a better year in a weird comparison with Sam Darnold, but it's just not as good as last year.

Speaker 2 You think that Saquon has a better year than Sam Darnold, but Sam Darnold has a better individual year than he did last year?

Speaker 1 No, I'm saying it's more likely that he has a better year than last year. Yeah, I guess that's what you said.
Yeah. Because, yeah.

Speaker 1 Okay. But Saquon, Saquon has it like a statistic.
Well, I guess it's, because it's all likely.

Speaker 1 It's just really hard for Saquon to have a better year. It was a great question.

Speaker 1 Yeah, it was. And it was a great question.
It's very confusing.

Speaker 3 I was happy with that one. I was happy with that one.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean,

Speaker 2 why that's geared toward me? Sam Darnold also.

Speaker 3 Because you were so adamant that Saquon Barkley was going to have to have a step-back year.

Speaker 3 So I wanted to force you to say that Sam Darnold going to the Seahawks, leaving Kevin O'Connell, leaving Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and TJ Hawkinson was going to have a better year than the guy who literally ran for 2,000 yards.

Speaker 1 You trapped me, you son of a bitch.

Speaker 3 Exactly. That was the point.

Speaker 1 All right.

Speaker 1 You have another one? You want another one?

Speaker 3 Yeah, yeah. I got a.
This one, you know. Did you notice I didn't answer that one? Yeah, this one?

Speaker 1 Yes, I did. I'll go with Darnold's.
I'll go with Darnold's.

Speaker 3 All right. So this one made me want to throw up in my mouth a little bit as a Jets fan.

Speaker 1 All right.

Speaker 3 Who is more likely after Tyreek Hill to lead the AFC East in receiving?

Speaker 3 Josh Palmer with the Bills, Stephon Diggs with the Patriots, Jalen Waddell with the Dolphins, or Garrett Wilson with the Jets.

Speaker 3 Man.

Speaker 3 Yeah, it's kind of gross.

Speaker 2 Well, here's the thing, is I don't think Tyreek Hill is going to lead the AFC in receiving yards. He said AFC East.

Speaker 3 Yeah, but

Speaker 3 he's an easy answer.

Speaker 1 AFC East. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 I mean, he's an easy answer.

Speaker 1 No, Jamar Chase is going to blow everybody away, I feel, again.

Speaker 3 That's just. Yeah, well, that's in the AFC.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that's why AFC East. In the East is different.
I still don't. I don't.
You like Joshua Palmer more than Keon?

Speaker 3 Okay, you want Keon Cole?

Speaker 1 Don't take Keon Cole.

Speaker 2 I mean, you could be down on him.

Speaker 3 You want Khalil Shakir? You can have him too.

Speaker 1 Hey, but who do you want? I'm going to go Garrett Wilson.

Speaker 3 Which Buffalo Bills guy do you want?

Speaker 1 Thanks informing me that Joshua Palmer was a Bill, by the way. I had no idea.

Speaker 1 You were more than one.

Speaker 3 I had to look that up. I had to look that up myself.
Cool.

Speaker 1 I'm not going to say Garrett Wilson.

Speaker 2 I'm going Garrett Wilson.

Speaker 3 I don't think so. Yeah, just

Speaker 1 not. No.

Speaker 1 I don't think it's like. I guess they have like that connection, right? The Ohio State connection.
But

Speaker 1 I know I kind of like maybe Khalil Shakir. Maybe you're right with that.
Honestly, I mean, I don't think Jalen Waddell and who's the other guy you said?

Speaker 3 Defon Diggs with the patient.

Speaker 1 Maybe it's Stephon Diggs. No, I don't know.
The injury. I don't know.

Speaker 1 Yeah. No, Khalil Shakir is my.
Kind of gross. Off the board.
Kind of gross. Yeah, the off-the-board Khalil Shakir pick for me.

Speaker 2 All right. You have one more?

Speaker 1 Come on, one more, one more, one more.

Speaker 3 Do you want one more? Sure.

Speaker 3 Maybe five.

Speaker 3 This one.

Speaker 3 Okay.

Speaker 3 More likely to get signed next. Keenan Allen, Amari Cooper, or Tyler Lockett.

Speaker 3 Those are the top receivers still available in the agency.

Speaker 2 I feel like it's going to be Keenan Allen. I don't know where.

Speaker 3 I think he's the biggest name.

Speaker 2 Yeah, that's why I think he's going to get signed next.

Speaker 3 Yeah, I think he's the biggest name. But honestly, if you were to give me one of the three, I probably want Tyler Lockett.
Yeah, that guy just makes plays.

Speaker 1 But Keenan Allen had the best numbers last year of the three, right?

Speaker 1 He came on late in the year.

Speaker 3 Yeah, he got hurt a lot.

Speaker 1 Well, just the Keenan Allen experience. He's always hurt.
Let's see. Also, the most decorated of the three, I feel.

Speaker 1 So I'll take Keenan Allen as a slot receiver on the Dolphins right now.

Speaker 2 I'm trying to see what it is that his salary was last year.

Speaker 1 Ooh, it was high.

Speaker 3 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah, but how old is he, too? He's like 33, right? Yeah.

Speaker 2 And plagued with knee injuries? He's 30. Yeah, he'll be 33 this football season because he's, you know, 32 and 10 and a half months at the moment, 11 months.

Speaker 1 Oh,

Speaker 1 I think it's a race between Keenan Allen and Tyler Lockett.

Speaker 2 Who was the third?

Speaker 3 Amari Cooper? Amari Cooper.

Speaker 1 Amari Cooper was looking very washed at the end of the year. Amari might be the one.

Speaker 3 Very washed.

Speaker 2 Amari might be the odd man out. Also, Amari.

Speaker 3 Well, so was Lockett.

Speaker 2 Amari's priming himself also to be the Chiefs, like random signing that then.

Speaker 1 Doesn't really do much.

Speaker 1 The Chiefs in two ways.

Speaker 2 It's always a random signing, and so you're like, wow.

Speaker 2 There's still some gas left in this tank. And it was like, okay, this person did absolutely nothing.

Speaker 1 He's the next Xavier Worthy decoy man.

Speaker 1 Let's go out there and run some routes and like Xavier Worthy run by two guys.

Speaker 2 I'm gonna go with Keenan Allen.

Speaker 1 Okay,

Speaker 2 two more? Three more. One more? When we come back, let me come back and give me one more.

Speaker 3 When we come back,

Speaker 3 okay. One more

Speaker 2 more likely.

Speaker 2 I've had fun this episode.

Speaker 3 You seem it.

Speaker 2 Yeah.

Speaker 1 That's all.

Speaker 2 I thought you guys would have more reactions.

Speaker 1 That's all. Bracket Bonanza.

Speaker 2 Yeah, Bracket Bonanza really.

Speaker 1 Bracket Bonanza did it.

Speaker 2 I wonder if the audience likes Bracket Bonanza as much as we do. It's a fun game to play, but it may be one of those things that is like, it's fun for us to play, but not necessarily fun to listen to.

Speaker 1 I think that there are people that are listening to Bracket Bonanza, just waiting to be angry.

Speaker 1 And then once we don't pick their team and we give our ridiculous reasoning, which isn't always ridiculous, there's you know, arguments behind it. Yeah, yeah, um, they get upset.

Speaker 1 Yeah, but that's what they want.

Speaker 2 You're saying, had uh, had we picked their team, they would love it.

Speaker 1 Yeah, like right now, Chiefs fans are very happy, all right. Commanders fans are happy, Mikey.

Speaker 2 We tease one more more Mikely. Do you have one more good one that we can throw in here? Or

Speaker 3 no, I don't have another good one, but I have another one.

Speaker 1 Okay, what is the other one?

Speaker 3 More Mikely to get fired this season: Shane Steichen with the Colts or Mike McDaniel with the Dolphins.

Speaker 1 Wow.

Speaker 3 This was really a question to ask a couple of Miami guys what they think is going to happen with Mike McDaniel.

Speaker 2 I feel like the Dolphins still have a move of getting rid of Chris Greer before Mike McDaniel, but I don't know. They came out so quickly to back both of them after last season.

Speaker 1 Well, Mike McDaniel, if Tua gets hurt again,

Speaker 1 Mike McDaniel's like, oh, well, you know, I'm doing what I can. Yeah.
He also did, he wasn't there when they drafted Tua.

Speaker 2 Yeah.

Speaker 1 So he has that excuse. Shane Steichen, though, he chose Anthony Richardson, right?

Speaker 1 He decided we're going to sign Daniel Jones.

Speaker 3 So he had to have a great signing, by the way. Great signing for them, by the way.

Speaker 1 To keep him away from the Jets. Is that why you're saying that?

Speaker 3 No, no, no, because they're...

Speaker 3 Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones are so similar in

Speaker 3 what they can do versus like what they can't. And

Speaker 3 their offense won't change no matter if Anthony Richardson has to pull himself out for a drink of water or a breath or something. That doesn't mean it's going to be good, though.
I think it's

Speaker 3 consistency is always better.

Speaker 1 I guess that's right.

Speaker 1 Hmm. All right.
So Puka says he's retiring, huh?

Speaker 2 He's going to retire at 30.

Speaker 1 He says,

Speaker 3 you didn't answer the question. You didn't answer the question, Billy.

Speaker 2 Oh, yes, Shane Steichen.

Speaker 3 I let you get away with one. You're not going to be able to do it.

Speaker 1 Shane Steichen. Shane Steichen.

Speaker 2 Sorry, I thought I had told you Steichen already.

Speaker 2 What's going on with the Rams where all of their players are just constantly threatening to retire?

Speaker 1 I mean, he's only 23 years old, so he has at least like seven years left. I mean, he's not like going to walk out tomorrow.

Speaker 1 I think it's just more of like a football thing where we saw him at Radio Row. He looked like a guy who was going to fix your computer.

Speaker 1 He might just feel like, yeah, he just doesn't, not that he doesn't love football, but he might have other things he wants to do.

Speaker 2 I think it's easy to say I'm going to retire at 30 when you're 23 because it sounds like that's so old. And then once you get to 30, you're like, I feel great.

Speaker 2 Like, I have so many miles left in the tank just because you're like so competitive that once he gets to 30, he's not going to feel the same way that he does now at 23.

Speaker 3 Let's see where they are when he's 30. Let's see what the contract offer is when he's like 28.
Yeah. Let's see if like he gets a hey, we'll give you a five-year deal.

Speaker 3 He's going to be like, no, I don't want a five-year deal. Give me a two-year deal.

Speaker 1 Like, let's he might settle into what happens. Yeah, he might settle into like a series of one years, you know, like 12 every year until he's like, okay, now I feel bad, you know? Yeah.

Speaker 2 Well, so I guess it's not a problem. It's just a puka thing.

Speaker 2 Even though their coach was always threatening to retire and the quarterback's threatening to retire, everyone's always threatening to retire. By the way, real quick here on the way out.

Speaker 2 So DraftKings Network having a change coming next week. And, you know, friends of ours, the Golicks, not going to be here anymore.
Just wanted to thank the Golicks.

Speaker 2 They've been a great part of Gablos Football over the years. Members of the family.
So Golix, we love you. And, you know, hopefully we'll all reunite soon.
Talk to you guys soon.

Speaker 2 And we'll see you guys next week. Stucks out of nowhere.
We're going to see you you again. See you next week on God Bless Pokeball.
