Best Rovio game we’ve seen in years: Soft launch Sonar September 2025

38m

Today, we fire up the Soft Launch Sonar - scanning the seas of upcoming mobile games to spot which soft launch titles might sink or scale.

Key highlights:

Monopoly Go & Moon Active’s spree – Multiple new soft launches (Monopoly Go, All in Hole, Match Dreams). The hosts argue it’s either IP hubris or a UA-driven funnel experiment. “Where’s the pig? Where’s the bacon?”

Rovio + Sega’s Sonic Blitz – A Marvel Snap/Hearthstone hybrid with Sonic IP. Hosts skeptical: “Sonic IP is too core to carry this.”

Rovio’s Angry Birds Rush – A genius comeback: Coin Master meta + slingshot mechanic + Monopoly Go mini-games.

Microfun’s Icy Hearts – Gossip Harbor clone with icy meta. Hosts roast the reviews but admit: “Nobody cares, it still works.”

Playrix surprises – Match Around (merge + match hybrid) and Austin Odyssey (energy adventure + match 3). First real Playrix innovation in years. “Too much innovation, guys. Step by step.”

Small Giant’s new TD - Tower defense PvE hybrid with heavy meta. “Complexity is not going to help here.”

Up for Fun & Vizor persistence – Endless iterations of forex hybrids with sexed-up creatives.

Warner Bros’ Game of Thrones: Dragonfire – Forex with dragons & real actor rights. Will IP help?

Takeaway: Soft launch is alive and messy — clones, hybrids, and bold experiments everywhere. Rovio’s Angry Birds Rush and Kitka’s Drill game stand out as the most promising.

Okay, I thought you would say if this works, they will slap it in CoinMaster and then use it as an onboarding instead.

Ooh, that's very clever, very bold.

Well, not in the Coin Master itself, but maybe in the new game.

In the monopoly go, Monopoly, yeah, Coin Master, exactly.

Yeah, I don't know.

I don't know.

Let's see.

But like, everybody's doing a whole game these days, just saying.

Okay, all right, let's continue.

Match dreams.

So you see where this is going.

Yeah, I know.

So

only three years late.

It's 4 a.m.

and we're rolling the dice.

Matei drops knowledge made of gold and ice.

Felix with ads making those coins rise.

Jackup designs, worlds chasing the sky.

We're the two and a half gamers, the midnight crew, talking UA adverts and game design too.

Mateish, Felix, Shaku, bringing the insight.

We're rocking those vibes till the early daylight.

Matay, you aim as your eyes on the prize.

Tracking data through the cyberspace skies.

Felix stacks colors like a wizard in disguise.

Jackups crafting realms lift us to the highs.

Two and a half gamers talking smack.

Slow hockey sick, got your back.

Ads are beautiful, they like the way.

Click it fast, don't delay.

Uh-huh.

Uh-huh.

Uh-huh.

Uh-huh.

Uh-huh.

Uh-huh.

Uh-huh.

Hello.

What's the what's that noise?

Is it the soft launch sonar that I hear?

And that fate feels like a submarine sound.

Ah, don't worry, it's Yeah, I haven't seen you here.

Thank you for coming.

This is Soft Clown Sonar.

Hey!

And we are so excited.

So excited.

I'm gonna die because I'm really keen on seeing another 500 games that Jakub found in the gaming industry and especially China.

What

about you, man?

I know, man.

Like, I'm usually, I'm not usually.

Did somebody beat you up or what?

Yeah, in the meantime, yeah, in the between the episodes, recording the episodes.

Because this always tracks for so long and and it's very, it's very interesting, but also super boring.

But let's see, let's see how it goes.

Okay, let's do it this way, so it doesn't drag.

So, I'm gonna count whoever says the first time when I show a game which game is being copied, gets a point.

The one at the end wins.

Well, you tried to do it last time, and I always win, but we can try it again.

Felix can try.

Okay, so thank you much.

My name is Matie Lancaric.

Oh, so I'm not sure.

Softlander, and Jakubi Softland Sonar.

Thank you.

We are your hosts.

Hey, here we go.

Perfect.

Anyway.

Okay.

Let's go.

Nobody cares about this crap.

We didn't buy this crap.

Show us games.

So, 16 games, as always.

We haven't done this for quite some time, by the way.

We missed actually our usual window.

Thank God.

Yes.

And you see, nobody noticed.

Nobody fucking noticed.

We actually missed one.

We have not one complaint.

Not even one.

Yeah, not even one.

So we were supposed to do it in July.

It's now September, so it's a little bit of a miss.

But yeah, the more interesting games that I guess happened in the meantime.

And we're sorry for missing July.

Yes.

Sorry.

We're sorry.

Anyway, let's start.

Let's go.

Share the screen.

Let's see some games.

Let's go.

Okay, first one.

So

this is like really talked about recently.

Yes, new CoinMaster game.

Next.

Yeah.

Monopoly go.

Yeah, Monopolygo.

Monopoly go, next.

It's actually a little bit close also to something like Pigigo and like these other board style games.

So it's not that heavy monopoly, but it is on the first one.

But yeah, it's still CoinMaster, the art,

everything's kind of the same.

Let's see how this goes.

This was soft on July 14th.

So let's see.

And actually, we have multiple Moon Active games.

So let's see.

Second one.

Whole stars.

July 20th.

All in hole.

That's what they call a coin hole, but all right.

Coin the whole.

So, this is again Moon Active.

I guess what do you think they're trying to do here?

What?

What do you think they're trying to do here?

I don't know.

I think they

get to this

flow state, like Supercell did, where we think our IP is so strong that we're going to put it everywhere because it's like, you know, it's the IP.

What do you mean IP the peak?

Yeah.

Yeah.

It's not an IP, it's a peak.

It's a fucking peak.

Oh, that's the whole point.

Okay,

that's the part of it because you know that that's how it works.

So I think they kind of overstretched themselves here.

Like, I think this game would work perfectly even without the pig.

But who am I?

No.

Like,

why, why, why suddenly you do a whole all-in-hole kind of game?

Because everybody's doing all-in-hole games.

Oh, okay.

Everybody's not doing it.

Okay.

Okay.

But I mean...

Peer pressure.

Peer pressure.

I don't know

if Moon Active is the company that gets the peer pressure really seriously.

I don't know, man.

I'm just trying to figure out what changed now when they didn't have a game in a soft lunch for so long.

And now suddenly.

Now three.

Yeah,

three.

So that's my kind of thing of thinking.

I'm just like, again, this will be...

Yeah, you're the messenger.

Okay.

This will be a UA play.

So I'm like, again, very curious how this happens.

I don't think it's a UA play, though.

Really?

What do you mean, UA play?

i don't even see the pig i like there's not that much ip in the game that plays pig

where's the pig where's where's the bacon

but what what what are this what does it mean a ua play like you what like they have well you slap him kardashian on this and oh like i think like this will end up like uh similarly than um

you know uh what is it

the usual kind of fake ua funnel for oh oh oh okay that that's what i'm saying that like if they can play this properly, they can price out all in hole out of this if they, you know, know how to do it UA-wise.

Okay, I thought you would say if this works, they will slap it in CoinMaster and then use it as an onboarding instead.

Ooh, that's very clever.

Very bold.

Or not in the CoinMaster itself, but maybe in the new game.

In the monopoly go?

Monopoly, yeah, Coinmaster?

Exactly.

Yeah, I don't know.

I don't know.

Let's see.

But like, everybody's doing a whole game these days.

It's the same.

Okay.

Let's continue.

Match dreams.

So you see where this is going.

Yeah, I know.

So

only three years late.

Yeah.

So this is again Moon Active.

And this is August 5th.

Yes.

Yeah.

Yeah.

You see this menu?

You see this menu?

It's the same.

Yeah, it's the same.

Everything is the same.

That's what I wanted to show you.

Everything is the same.

So I think somebody at Moon Active just got the memo like, we need new games like now.

Do them now.

But why now?

I don't know.

Like they have Travel Town.

Like, you know.

But it's man, come on, man.

Like, it's this is not like from the ground up, like, Moon Active.

they bought the oh yeah of course like it's some puzzle some something like this is definitely not the co casino guys doing this so oh you mean this is magmatic games

behind oh you mean like travel time guys doing this yeah no maybe

very surprised yeah we need to find out like what the fuck is happening yeah the previous games in solft launch and like

what's happening yeah yeah a lot of studios on the list currently have like new stuff like just recently i don't know what's happening you know like people come out of the winter or something

maybe

maybe they attended gamescom and everybody's like oh my god do you have a whole game no no no

i have a half game i only have a whole game when i fully publish it

let's see let's see okay whatever next one this one's very very interesting i was super super interested in this one onik the hedgehog yeah so who didn't get the memo brovio basically now is on a roll to port all of sega's ip onto mobile that's what they need to do because sega owns them now so our blue guy here is uh the head of those birds now and uh what's happening here that they've been doing quite some porting recently so there's sonic rumble already we won't go into that one yeah but there's now sonic blitz which is soft launch may 26th this year and which game do you think this is going after or this is taking chrome honestly for now i have no idea yet yeah it's too early but like i'm seeing a lot of cards so the Pokemon game?

I have no idea.

Okay.

Come on, you show me 10 seconds of the gameplay.

It's easy, man.

In 10 seconds, you need to know immediately.

So it's Marvel Snap and Hardstone.

Like, these two games are pretty much merged into one here.

But what are you trying to do?

Man, like, that's...

From 10 seconds, that was a pretty big stretch.

If this is Marvel Snap, because it's card games, and it's like, come on.

It's Marvel Snap.

Very Marvel Snap.

Mr.

Game Designer.

Okay, anyway.

Would you have gotten that in 10 seconds, Matty?

Because I really wouldn't have to.

No, no, of course not.

You can talk about your ads.

It's not about my design.

Anyway.

Of course, it's not you.

I mean, like,

you

put cards here and you say, oh, it's Marvel Snap just because it's cards.

Come on.

And you're attacking.

I mean,

where's the opponent?

He's stocked and appalled.

Where's the opponent?

He's on top.

Now I see the card there.

He was on top.

As in Marvel Snap.

When was this game made?

Like, when was it launched?

This was launched May 26th.

Okay.

There's actually some iteration because as i said this is not direct copy of marvel snap or heartstone is actually the joining of those two because what's happening that you are having these cards tool on the board in marvel snap you have these lanes you have three of those and the winner of unhiding that lane having more points wins the lane here it's actually different because we're actually attacking the head which is again heartstone style but the cards still work into these two lanes and you decide which one you want to dash forward and if there's enemies they clash like in heartstone if there's not, they run into the heads, also, or I guess there will be some dark mechanics that will go over.

The thing is, the UI is never gonna work.

Yeah, the UI is never gonna work.

Marvel Snap itself, if we go.

Yeah, kind of.

Yeah, I see.

Yeah, here it is.

I think.

Yeah, there we go.

It's basically Marvel Snap.

The problem with Marvel Snap is that it's kind of core.

And

why is it the problem?

Why is it the problem?

Because I don't think Solonic IP is that core to carry it.

That's right.

That's right.

Thank you very much.

That's right.

Even Marvel IP is like very wasn't able to carry it.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.

It was like so-so.

I'm very generous.

Yeah.

So, Sonic in here is an absolute mismatch, I would say.

I don't think so.

This is it, really, because like Sonic, especially recently with the movie, which I think is just taking on new and new, younger audience, not the veteran players, like veteran, you know, Sonic

50 years old, not even 50 years, like 35 possible.

Yeah, yeah, of course.

But, like, yeah, I don't know.

And honestly, this game, even without the IP, would be hard to pull off as it is.

Exactly.

I mean, what would you like to see be done with a Sonic IP?

Sonic IP?

Yeah.

Dreamdale.

Oh, yeah.

It's very easy, man.

Like, as casual as possible and do it, make him run around.

40% ads,

do his friend shit and stuff like that.

Yeah, 40% ads, that's not gonna...

That's not gonna happen with the general elder.

But still, I mean, it's a nice nice try.

Yeah, I would try something more casual, definitely.

Oh, yeah,

this seems very, very core-ish.

Maybe dwogan in Japan.

I don't know.

I can really watch for that market.

But let's see.

Yeah, so that's there.

This was more interesting.

I'm betting more on this one.

Endless Runner.

Is this an Endless Runner?

No, no, man.

No, no, no, no.

I bet you'll see.

In the end, this is, I think, a very, very solid play.

I think it's the best one I've seen from Rovio from like last

five sonars last long time

so when you see it you copy barago no no no no not even copy bargain

but it is play epic plane evolution no no no no no no yeah a little bit a little bit epic plane evolution but the the the genius that they did here is that they finally did iteration on putting their signature genre into a different genre yeah this this is like i mean it's kind of subway surface with uh with their sling is not subway surface like plenty of mission and subway surface.

Okay, now

it's this.

Let's rebuild our camp.

You know what this is.

It's coin master meta.

So basically what you see here, this is the slot machine.

This is the slot machine.

This is the spin wheel.

I see.

So instead of spin wheel you're slinging birds.

Nice.

And then with those coins you build the meta as usual, the coin master stuff.

And somewhere there later, where is it?

I think.

Yeah, here.

Yeah, here we are.

Someone tried to break your camp.

Time to get angry and fight back.

And there we go.

Into our usual slingshot, into enemy players and so on.

I mean,

but this was in Dice Dreams creatives.

They took it from Angry Birds and now they're taking it back.

Dice Dreams.

Yeah, yeah.

Like, this is them getting back at Dice Dream players.

Exactly.

Nice.

But this is this is genius.

Yeah, this is great.

Like, as I said, best Robio game that I've seen in the last all so far.

That slingshot, which I said, this is just like three different games, UA, easy, immediately.

It's amazing.

Because this is the new trend that I don't think so, even like Rovio maybe thought that much.

That like making social casino look like not social casino, like we see with Carnegie Tycoon and all these other games, or like the top tycoon as well, car restoration games.

Again, like everybody wants to be a casino, the meta works, like with Forex.

Yeah, the key is masking it with different shapes.

Yeah, exactly.

Search it could work pretty well.

Yeah, so yeah, This is very, very interesting.

So, this was soft launch August 31st.

So, pretty much not that all long.

This menu, basically, like this is from

the okay, fair.

We're gonna do an episode on this for sure.

Or this work for this one.

You know, this one.

This is all the mini games, everything.

It's basically Slingshot with CoinMaster and Mobile Go Meta.

That's it.

Perfect.

Amazing.

Yeah.

Finally, I think Rovi is doing a proper job.

That's what I should do.

Lab, but only with Lab.

Only in this game.

Only previous game, not so much.

Not so much, we'd say.

You can't win on all

fronts.

All fronts, yeah.

Very interesting how this game will go on.

Like, because it's like real nice innovation, and especially in the

strong point.

Okay, let's move on.

Icy hearts.

Oh man.

Where's this character from?

I recognize it.

This is microfun for sure.

Yeah.

That's microfung girl.

Yeah.

It's like that hair.

And Icy Hearts, man.

Like, that's such a great game.

In this game, they're like, let's build a game that will completely complement UA

with the name.

Oh, yeah, Icy Hearts, man.

I love it.

Oh, yeah, there's Icy Hearts, and it's basically Gossip Heart.

Not a merge game.

Another merge game?

Of course.

What did you expect?

Of course, yeah, what did you expect?

I mean,

also the Flame on Flamingo, whatever we discussed last time.

So the best part is, of course, if you go.

They're doing a river game, right?

So they have to keep coming up with new titles every now and then that are the same, right?

It's yeah, the core works, but the the marketing play is slightly different.

Marketing plays super important.

As I said, this is the the page.

So if you go I see

gossip harbor style.

Basically freezing families.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

I think like this is one-to-one gossip harbor screenshots.

If you if you go there, like this is just the same thing.

Yeah.

But it's

so I like the two point eight star reviews.

It definitely works well, resonate with the audience.

I know.

But keep in mind that they already did the

Flambay merge game.

Flambaya, this is not like the next one.

It's just flooding the market.

I think they're getting scared of Century getting the market share to the push even stronger now.

Like Felix said, it's the river game kind of play.

I don't want to say risking because it's not the risking.

but it's just slightly different maybe onboarding and the setup.

It might not be the biggest game.

You just need the top eight games in the category.

Yeah,

someone else can have the biggest game, even the second biggest game.

But don't worry, I'll have all of the other games.

Yes, yeah.

So I have top one, you have top two, and then I have top three to top ten.

That's fine.

Top rest.

Yeah,

top rest.

And together, and cumulatively, that's bigger than the other two combined, right?

So it's just like you can have that.

Yeah, you can.

Don't worry, I'll take the category.

Yeah, top rest, the new mark.

Okay, let's let's move on.

I tell that to Gemini to coin the term.

Top rest.

Yeah, match around.

Match around.

Yeah, so another merge game.

Interesting.

But what's the interesting twist here?

So let me skip forward and actually run out of energy.

And you'll see what happens now.

Creating items consumes energy.

Energy can be replenished by playing match three levels.

Oh, it's matching story.

You guessed the publisher?

Century games.

No.

Is it still microfan?

No.

Is it a turk no no it's chinese it's chinese and it's

not chinese

even better

oh fucking hell that's who is this from vietnam no it's play riggs oh that's so much innovation for play rigs isn't it yeah i mean i would i would this i would guess some definitely some not play rigs at all yeah so this is play riggs i think this is great like it's amazing you're gonna tell me they even have ad placements in it no

don't get too crazy yeah don't get too crazy.

Let's not innovate too much, guys.

Too much innovation.

Step by step.

I think those are fishdom.

Fish them.

Fish them icons, aren't they?

Okay.

Yeah, it doesn't matter.

Anyway, so it's a very interesting play.

We've seen this work with matching story.

So this definitely works.

It's about

the thing is, the matching story kind of is making what like 10 million.

This is merge.

Matching story is merge five.

This is merge 5.

That's true.

Okay.

There's already one big change there.

Yeah, yeah.

But I was was trying to say

it's still making like 10 million a month.

Is that enough for Polarix to just fuck around with this?

I would say yes.

Yeah, okay.

Like they had so many new games and like none of them went.

Yeah, that's true.

They just have the big four and that's it.

Nothing really to it.

They really need to do that.

The big four, a township is the top game and it's still

growing, I know, but

you need to employ all those other people in these other things.

That's true, yeah, that's true.

They need to do something.

Yeah, but like amazing job, guys, like really looking forward to this one.

Next one.

Yeah, this is a, let's say, wildcard game that I wanted to talk about.

Because we have this game called Austin.

Odyssey, this actually, the match around was July, July, end of July last year.

So this year, Solf Launch.

This was actually Solf Launch in May last year.

But the key is that the iOS version was just released.

which in my opinion could indicate that they maybe want to go global with this.

But let's see.

Okay, yeah.

So because it's again May last year, so it's been sold for quite a long time.

The thing is that this is basically their play on this whole like adventure genre where you go and

visor

clone visor clone dyke and

they have all the numbers.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

So I think they're trying to push.

Yeah, here it is.

You see, it's kind of craft.

Oh, yeah, yeah, it's clone dyke.

Yeah, so it's like, again, two cores besides each other.

One is the you know, energy adventure, whatever, on that one, and then there's the match three one.

We see we see this worked.

I mean, this work we dig is adventure before.

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

It works for them already in township because they see the power of these like two cores beside each other working pretty well.

So

you know, second game already doing the same strategy.

So my guess that's what's happening.

You see, by the way, how the requirements of team know-how just goes up.

Yeah, you need to build two games now.

But what do you mean now?

We are talking about this for a year.

Like, you need to build two games even free yeah kind of oh there will be three I think somewhere yeah I have three three later you'll see that's what I was that's what I was worried about

anyway next one this is this is like this is after so many years so this is Chinese huh I see it I see it you saw it small small giant yes yeah yeah this is this is small giant and this iteration on tavern defense I think is this is actually a little bit new like I can't really pinpoint the specific game because what do you mean is it's coming from top this is just doodle magic covered.

They're not always coming from top.

Like they're you know doing these

recently.

So it's it's a lot of iteration actually.

The stuff on the bottom, even though it looks like Rash Royale style cards or whatever, it's just basic, you know, your usual three skill selector.

Yeah, okay.

Visualized differently in a way.

The interesting part is that you merge these towers.

Are they doing a rush royale kind of

maybe?

I would say like they're doing like best of cover defense recently okay lots of mechanics are done in a way that they're like you know

similarly this screen uh this this one screen where it is later tells me that this seems much more core-ish yeah than usual if you see this screen well this screen is basically the same screen as you have in empires and puzzles where this is your deck and you see the enemies you not only see the enemies now you also see the board yeah and there's elemental systems in it and you need to prepare the deck in advance yeah okay yeah yeah so they're moving a lot of meta in before the level which is in my opinion you know that that breaks the usual kind of rush royal easy to get into pvp loop oh yeah sure i mean when you it's pv basically yeah yeah so

but that's what small giant does like they do pv games sure do pvp games so this looks good in terms of the like the the art style and everything but the complexity it's not gonna help on the ui side.

Complexity is going to be very big, in my opinion, already.

Like, you see it.

So, those are like clash wheel star cards, basically.

So, sharp typical shard cuts are nothing really to it.

We'll see.

I can see that.

We'll see how this goes.

It's just that, in my opinion, the whole tower defense genre getting very, very crowded recently.

Everybody, because recently, the last three years, man.

That's not true.

That's not true, man.

Like, it's

Tower Defense was dead.

Do you remember this year in China?

Everybody was doing Tower Defense.

Yeah, he he doesn't because he wasn't there.

Oh, yeah.

But the last year, he was there, and uh everybody was doing Tower Defense anyway.

But the thing is, it was d dead in the West because it was really, I mean, tough to make.

But now, all the all the different iterations and a lot of innovations coming into this, it's it's gonna be interesting.

Not this year, but next year.

Like, as I said, they're still waiting for that one big game to take on the market.

There's not really the legs.

But man,

why do you do like all the white styles?

Sure, but still.

Did you say that?

Why do you make the towers like this?

Is there a dart?

Or what the fuck is that?

I mean, come on.

I mean, the art?

You don't like the art style?

I mean, I don't really like, what is this?

I mean,

is it a dart?

There's a shuriken, and then, like, what's the what's the purple thing or the pink thing?

Star.

Why?

But it's art critique.

It's not art critique.

I said,

it just doesn't really fit in this.

It just doesn't really fit in this.

It's fit in this.

It's like they're playing the chibi card, man.

Like, you know, you know what's chibi.

Yeah, okay, fair.

Guys with big heads and small bodies.

Okay.

Okay.

That's it.

Like, this is like a lucky defense style.

Anyway, yeah,

we'll see how this goes.

Like, I'm super curious because, again, Small Giant didn't sort of launch a new game in like ages.

So 80 or something.

I don't know.

Anyway, um

yeah and from this point on it's gonna be as usual oh yeah of course hello our good friends from like for fun

yeah so we've seen the cinematic I think like seven times oh at least yeah seven tried it before seven different games so of course there's a new one so this time it's this kind of a IO style survivor what they were thing you don't think this is a forex it is

a forex template they just changing the onboarding mini games to their template.

All of them.

Exactly.

They're trying to find it.

Super persistent.

Yeah.

We have this game, doesn't work next.

Next, next, next.

Next onboarding.

This is like the seventh iteration of that game that we saw.

Yeah, yeah.

Because if I skip forward,

then we have the cinematic.

Again, we saw this like many times, and then we get this.

Oh, and then

what?

Yeah, here.

This is still the survivor IO shit.

Reminded me a little bit of the kingshots.

Yeah, but no, no, no.

This is the same thing, like it's a force, it's searching for onboarding, like the same, it's just like super persistent.

Uh, this was soft launch actually this month, September 1st.

So, let's see, nice, yeah, this is like where is that going?

Nowhere, iron honor.

I mean, more forex,

yeah, from

yeah, it's gonna be all forex, basically.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

We have like uh Nazis from Vich here, and sexy Nazis.

Oh my god, Nazis and sexy.

Yeah, well, yeah, you're right now.

I forgot.

It takes a few shots and we'll back there.

Oh, there you go.

So,

I think what was it last sonar?

It was called Var of the Roses or Var for Throne or Rose, Throne of Roses, or whatever something.

And we're back at them, back at it again with some, again, a different visual.

Much more lively girls, by the way.

They seem to really AI.

No, no, no, no, no.

This is just like more, they added just more and more animations into it.

So she's just like more interactive.

But like those are exactly the same character, exactly the same core, exactly

everything.

Yeah, I think they already, yeah, see, they already kidnapped her.

Like, oh, yeah, of course, obviously.

So we

yeah, there we go.

So so basically they're trying again.

Like, I think last time we were killing like uh Assassin's Creed or Black Widow or something with this kind of a new setup, whatever.

So yeah.

But this just tells you the persistence of these companies.

Like, they won't work again.

New one, new onboarding, new one, new one, new one, new one.

But then

you need to change something drastically and not like the same thing all over again, just with like small tweaks.

You tell me.

I don't know.

This will be like a pretty big tweak.

What's going on here?

This is called Puzzle and Conquer, May 6th this year.

Does it look familiar, this character?

No.

No?

Man, this is like Zelda from Wish.

Well, that's very stretched, man.

It's kind of yeah now when you say it, but yeah, when you say it, sure.

It's not stretch at all.

It basically is the same haircut, the same

sword, same shield, same everything.

And I guess they put on the water temple outfit because otherwise it would be too obvious.

Yeah.

So this is just the mini-game.

Of course.

You collect these characters.

Everything is Forex from now onwards.

Like, what are you talking about?

We are in the Forex section now.

At the memo.

Yeah.

Yeah.

so you get killed and you get killed.

Yeah, this is the one I want to show you.

You get killed this way.

The at creative way.

Nope.

So this

tells you this is the at creative game.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

And after you pass this and like do all these shits, you are here, which is what?

Kingdom Guard.

Exactly.

So this is the onboarding fake game.

So we have the fake onboarding from the app.

This is the fake onboarding.

In the fake onboarding from tower defense, which gets you into the

real forex.

Into real forex

suddenly.

Yeah, so they're recycling and like showing these things around very, very nicely.

So just saying, like, what's the current level of iteration?

So this was, again, May 6th.

Yep.

Ad break.

This episode is brought to you by PVX partners because we need a little bit of rest.

Now, we can get back to the soft lunch sonar again.

Amazing.

Oh, what do we have here?

Oh, shit.

It's still the forex.

Yeah, not the forex.

Anyway, let's move on.

This one, I was like super surprised that this even came out.

Need to talk in the microphone, buddy.

Yeah, this one?

Yeah.

Fury of three kingdoms.

Guess who?

Guess who?

It's gonna be Fury of the like three microphones if you stop not gonna talk to that thirty-seven games, man.

I can see in the headline.

So, this like is an old-fashioned forex ported into the west.

Kind of reminds me a little bit with rise of kingdoms.

Uh, this is more close to like uh machine zone, old

one, a really, really old one.

Okay, really, really, like, this.

Look at this.

This is exactly what's exactly.

Yeah, it looks no fake onboarding, no fakeness, no nothing.

It's just like straight into Forex.

So, like, yeah, crushed.

Yeah, this will get crushed.

Like, May 14th this year.

Like, I don't know why.

I just like, i'm surprised because these guys i i thought like they would hop on the like chinese exports of forex train but doesn't seem so yeah they didn't get the memo get the memo

exactly moving on this is super interesting so game of we have game of thrones dragon fire and uh what what's happening what's happening here

what do you mean what's happening you know

i know i know i know what's happening i know

i'm just kind of surprised.

I don't know how.

Yeah, so this is Bornabross May 1st this year.

The good thing about this is that

they actually get all the rights to the actors because I guess this is a spin-off and they're kind of cheap compared to the original ones.

So you have, I think, like all of the real actors in all the cinematics and everything.

Seems to me that this is some kind of unique scene on Forex because

yeah, until this point, it's tutorial and everything.

Then you choose a faction

where we have seen this and then it loads and then just this thing where is it house nine hundred million five thousand six hundred eighty seven yeah this this tells you everything yeah so uh yeah it seems to be some kind of uh where is the server name yeah where's the server name um like low camera angle forex or whatever like the map seems to be like much much zoomed maybe they just unzoom it later or whatever uh they have the whole like dragon collecting breathing mechanic slapped into it which seems great because like you know that's what game of thrones dragonfire is all about like the new game of thrones basically just dragons dragons dragons uh and that's there yeah and uh yeah and they have the ip so i'm just kind of super interested how this kind of goes because in my opinion i think this is like the western way of doing forex now so we can do ua so we have the ip and we think that it will help us but like we think

we saw how it happened with age of empires yeah take

a try this company.

Take my money.

Exactly.

Yeah.

Take all my money.

It's going to work.

It's gone.

Yeah, I'm very skeptical if I don't see

dragons being pulled by pins into lava or whatever fast.

They could do this.

I don't know.

They could.

I mean, everyone did it before, but it's just 2020.

I don't know.

It's not to say it's not going to work.

It's not going to waste.

Yeah.

Yeah, for sure.

Yeah.

So this is where the forex section is.

Oh, hey, that's me.

Yeah, thank you very much for the ad.

That's my new video about create dashboards.

Yeah, go there and check it out.

Now we're now entering not the forex section, this is the bizarre section.

Like, I was like,

what?

Have you seen this at all?

So, there's this game called Iron Sword from 1100%.

Oh, June 15th.

And it's like a turn-based survivor IO style slasher.

Yeah, so you have these enemies, and you need to press your finger to kind of create the perfect slash Then the guy does just one slash and that's it How more complicated this can get

So this is like a position slashing game or what I don't I don't know like you go and there's like uh of course lots of stats and progressions and like maybe like a skip

and and you see that like these monsters get to you like every turn closer and closer and and like again it still goes in turns Monsters get closer and closer while you get further and further from your microphone.

Yeah, but that's like it's it's it's it's in turns man.

Like I don't get this.

Like why would you do this in turns?

Like it's not action.

It's like turn-based style survivor IO game.

I don't know.

Like it's very unique, but I'm just kind of surprised.

Well isn't the tower defense turn-based as well?

Isn't this coming from the East and Asia kind of still?

Tower defense is turn-based.

I don't know.

The four turns mage now.

I know those are turn-based.

All are action-based.

I don't know.

Whatever.

No, no.

But it's just like a very, very interesting game.

I haven't seen anything like it before.

So we'll see how this one goes because guys could really use it.

And then the last one.

Oh, yeah, this is super interesting.

Oh, no, no, no.

This is my prediction.

So it's called Drill, Find, Mind Treasure.

It's like the whole digging the hole into the ground

type of thing.

Digging a hole game that we talk about in Steam Scanner, that it's gonna happen and this is happening.

It's actually in Scopely portfolio because this is done by Kitka.

Yeah, yeah, exactly.

So this seems exactly like the digging a whole game, just translated pretty well into mobile.

So instead of

down, you're digging to the side.

Yeah, instead of dive, digging to the side, even though when you dig everything, the platform goes deeper.

So blah, blah, blah.

You see the depth there was like 10 meters or something, and then the guy finishes the facility here.

Map.

Yeah, there we go.

You see that?

10 meters, depth, 25 meters, more, more stuff.

And on top of it, it seems like there's like more stuff.

Yeah, well interesting to see how it does.

Yeah, it's just like very quickly.

In my opinion, for mobile, you can't really do like digging the hole directly into the ground.

What?

Why?

It's hard to do with the whole three D part.

So so I think this way and it's by the way super satisfying because you know you know what this is.

This is like Century Games Golden Goblins creative.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

It's not Century Games Golden Goblins, it's all the hyper hyper-casual stuff from the past.

So it looks perfectly.

It's probably a very good CPI.

That's yeah, yeah, yeah, I can see that.

This is from May 2nd, and yeah, I think probably this is the best one that I've seen from Kitka yet after they did the

position.

No, not Foga, it's the Bodluster game.

Not Fogas, yeah, the other one.

But still.

Yeah, let's see.

But yeah, quite, quite interesting.

We can see what happens to the so lots of promising games this time.

Very much.

Yeah.

They should definitely, as soon as they go out of the soft launch, implement the web shop because this episode is also brought to you by Fastspring, the No Drama D2C partner that's been scaling with mobile publishers for over 20 years.
