Game Review Radar #9: The Curse of the podcast strikes again. Or maybe not!

51m

Today, we revisit 15+ mobile games we’ve covered in the past to see which ones are growing, peaking, or dying. From Vita Mahjong’s $200K/day AdMon empire to Century’s King Shot at $3M/day, here’s the brutally honest state of mobile gaming right now.

Highlights:

Vita Mahjong: 7M DAU, $200–300K/day

Love & Deep Space: $7M/day gacha spikes

Magic Villains: Backed by $60M raise, scaling fast

King Shot: Our pick for “Game of the Year” (so far)

Supercell’s Mo.Co flop vs Clash Royale comeback

Last Z: $6.6M/day forex monster from Vietnam

DramaBox/RealShort: Short drama apps making $100M+/month

Disney Solitaire: Movie tie-ins fueling $650K/day

Chess.com: 14M DAU, $200K/day from app alone

So we have Kink Shot.

And this is the biggest thing in the thing.

Because

this went all the way up to 3 million a day

last month.

And

yeah, it seems it's maybe peaked, but

we'll see.

These things you never know because Century Games currently is a very good thing.

Yeah, you said a few times about

it.

Oh, it peaked already and then it peaked never yeah, it's still kept growing.

I did a heaven about this amplify in Barcelona last week, and I was like, So, you guys are really bringing it to River Game now.

It's 4 a.m.

and we're rolling the dice.

Mate drops, knowledge made of gold and ice.

Felix with ads making those coins rise.

Jack up designs, worlds chasing the sky.

We're the two and a half gamers, the midnight crew.

Talking UA adverts and game design, too.

Mateish, Felix, Shaku, bringing the insight.

We're rocking those vibes till the early daylight.

The K-U-A, master eyes on the prize.

Tracking data through the cyberspace skies.

Felix stacks colors like a wizard in disguise.

Jackets, crafting realms, lift us to the highs.

Two and a half gamers, talking smack.

Slow hockey sick, got your back.

Ads are beautiful, they like the way.

Click it fast, don't delay.

Uh-huh.

Uh-huh.

Uh-huh.

Uh-huh.

Uh-huh.

Hello everyone and welcome to another fantastic episode of the Two and a Half Gamers podcast.

Today we're doing one of our most famous editions of the Two and a Half Gamers podcast, the Review Radar, where we review all the games we have covered in the last quarter to see if they're growing or if they're shrinking.

Jakob, tell us what's in the rearview mirror of the last quarter.

I'm Felix Brauberg.

My name is Matia Vancaris.

And

we are

your

hosts.

Oh, man.

That's not my best work, but yeah, whatever.

We're listeners.

So there's going to be an extra for you at the end of the episode.

Definitely go and check it out.

Put it in the back.

It's going to be

absolutely going to be there.

It was 100% better, man.

Like

us

some hockey sticks.

Okay, for those listening for the first time or don't remember, we do these review radars where we look for the games that we review already on the podcast.

As we always say, that we keep them on the radar and we look at the latest update trend curves and pretty much like overall what's happening with them.

So, we don't just kind of, you know, and see if they're able to feel the vibe, they're all gonna be very much dead because

there's this thing called the curse of the podcast, which means that once we review a game, it goes only downhill from there.

So we'll see how many games actually went up.

And it's gonna be 50 games, so buckle up.

Buckle up.

Buckle up.

Yeah, all right.

So fake Doctor

was there.

Vitamayong.

Vita Mayong.

They're scaling to the moon.

Yeah.

There's no way they're going down.

March 3rd, we reviewed this game.

They are scaling to the moon.

We reviewed it somewhere here where it was doing already uh pretty much quarter a million downloads a day and now they're hitting nearly record download numbers which is like 400k or at least went like in july to 400k downloads a day you talked about it on the creative uh trends because i see 10 million ads every show me exactly show me the active user base yeah here it is active users straight line up there's the hockey stick number one today

and yeah, it's very nice with the bullshit filter where US being the top demographic of like 7 million DAU.

You know what I heard from a prominent ad network?

That basically they just decreased their profit, like their goals to like 10%.

And yeah, that's why they're able to scale so much.

So

they got running profits of

what it was before.

What it was before.

That's the main, that's the important number.

Yeah, exactly.

Let's say maybe it was at 15 and they cut it down to 10.

But yeah,

10 is still pretty good.

But 10 on what?

10 is the profit margin you were saying?

10% now.

That's what I heard.

Yeah, that's what they're running.

What was the actual revenue we estimated?

This,

yeah, let me open it up for you, Jakub.

But I do believe this is probably one of the biggest admon games in the world right now.

10%.

It's almost like they're day 360.

Yeah, yeah.

I think it was.

What was it?

It's not written here

no

8k was per day?

Yeah, definitely something around 200k, but yeah

even more than 200k I would say more yeah probably

okay

regarding the updates

There's events and stuff

events and stuff like you see like this is pretty much like a healthy game that you did you see they're like calling all these like 203k a day Uh, that's what I estimated.

It's not that big then,

but I would guess that was that still means you're making 20k a day in profit, but yeah, yeah, which is great, but you're killing the competition, right?

Exactly, yeah, you're killing everybody,

yeah, these ads are everywhere.

No, seriously, I open Facebook 10 10 times a day, it's Vitamayong, yeah, yeah,

and fake doctors, anyway,

so that's Vita Mayong.

Uh, as usual, last 30 days,

nearly 10 million downloads 120k ip so that would be what

in

at revenue show me active users this doesn't mean anything to me show me active active users means okay so basically on the 203k a day we estimated 4.5 million users a day so what is it now it's 20 is it 50 higher six and a half that's gonna be we go to country filter please it's at least gonna be 250 300 a day now so pretty much like plus 10 mil a month.

I don't know anyway.

Yeah, impressive.

No web shops.

Okay.

That's a lot.

Okay.

Vitamayonk.

Great start.

Great start.

Let's move on.

There we go.

So we have love and deep space.

This is killing it as well.

This is going on.

This is going to the moon.

Are also killing it.

If you look at their chart, it's spiky as it should be.

But the spikes are increasing.

Because it's a gacha game, so they had their biggest spike yet in June this year.

How much is that?

7 million in a day?

Yeah, 7 million in a day.

That's normal.

For gacha games, it's completely normal because everybody buys it on the first day of the gacha release.

Everybody.

So that's the biggest spike that you get.

That's right.

I don't.

Yeah.

So we reviewed the game on what?

March 6th?

It's one of our most popular games we've ever done on the podcast as well.

We'll get to the game.

I would say it's not even on the third spot, but it's definitely one of the most popular.

And definitely with the most comments.

It's like 90 comments.

It's like 90 comments.

Yeah, just there.

If you go monthly, you can still see that it's pretty much going up.

So July user was like 40 million IP and

active users are also great.

We go what 1.6

million.

That's great.

Like, you know, for this heavy IP game.

China's 51%, just saying, then the US 14%.

So that's there.

Regarding the update pipeline, it's basically bread and butter, gacha stuff, not really something to it.

Each of these types is basically supported by a new gacha format character.

In this case, they have these like memories, so they don't even need to create new characters they just create different memories with the same character so

you see all these nice things

um yeah they're just killing it uh it's there pretty much the best profit margin is higher than vitama jong for sure yeah

anyway next one

match villains so this is a very discussed game

already when we were talking about it on the pod

and i think i lost my sensor tower tab there.

I don't know why.

Some villain stole it, probably.

He's got apps.

There you go.

No, you just need to type properly.

That's it.

That's it.

That's the only problem.

The spelling, not the problem.

Yeah.

Wow, look at it.

Yeah, there we have our hockey stick.

Hockey stick number two.

So a hockey stick is an incline.

Yeah, 100k a day, which is pretty good.

That is very good.

And this is the most important part.

Yes.

90k downloads a day.

Country filter.

Was that US leading it?

That's Philippines.

There's the country filter.

That's the illusion.

Just shattered.

No, dude, it's pretty good.

Dude, US, UK,

14k Philippines.

Still pretty good.

This is pretty good.

It's like.

Yeah, but but go to source

US downloads yeah, but still

go to downloads by source downloads by source

apps analysis app analysis or just downloads where we are in reported downloads where you check the revenue versus yeah there yeah

and then downloads by source.

Okay, that's nice.

So here, this is what I was trying to say the last time.

Wow.

It's basically

all paid.

All paid.

paid, all paid, they secured the deal, no, for scaling.

You mean PVX partners?

I don't know, but if you, if you need funding,

you call, you call PVX partners because that's the most reliable credit line for marketing.

If you need, you know, some money for marketing, go and check pvxpartners.com, or if you want to get some ROS benchmarks, retention insights, or forecasts, if you are eligible for funding, go pvxpartners.com slash lambda,

apply it into your mmp and then you can check all the raw us benchmarks and everything there and get funding so pvxpartners.com or pvxpartners.com slash lambda thank you very much for sponsoring this episode and growth of the games on the market yeah so just to clear this ambush

there was a race that good job games did which was on end of july and 60 mil so you're looking right at those 60 mil

right there.

What

you wouldn't say?

I would say, but you know

how we discussed last time with Jeff

getting serious A

just to spend that money in exchange for equity.

Tamp equity.

I don't know.

Who am I to judge, though?

Yeah, I will see.

We'll see.

But yeah, there's definitely a big movement.

Even if we go back to the country filter and omit the fact that there's like

like it doesn't matter that's just

the worldwide targeting that's fine

we'll see if we'll see if the revenue holds and especially if

honestly this is if this continues this is amazing this is amazing i said

this most probably won't cross like f

per day revenue on the episode or

or something, which

the guys from Good Job Games didn't really like.

It's on its way.

It's on its way.

I still see I still think they're far

away from the 500K per day,

but

I met also Akin and now I'm not so sure.

I think they will be

they aim to they aim way way higher than than what I said.

And

I think this is a really good trend.

Okay, Felix, anything to add?

Or you're saying something?

I'm coughing, there's no ads in there.

So, what I know, yeah, he's just a mace, but I do, but I do look pretty today, so I can.

Yeah,

we wait for a forex, no worries, it's coming.

Oh, no, this is my favorite.

This is my favorite bullshit launch of the year.

Such an amazing thing for a lot of LinkedIn.

Oh my god, so many

numbers and players came into this game thanks to this viral hit marketing campaign.

Oh my god.

Oh, wait a second.

It's fucking

growing.

Why is it growing?

Because they started UA.

Because they started UA.

That's why it's growing.

Yeah, they started UA somewhere here.

You see the downloads in like start of July.

Next.

No, let me see revenue.

Let me see.

Seven euros.

Yeah, and by the way, there's like a lot of South Korea downloads here.

If you go to revenue, yeah, it's spiky and it's like going somewhere to like 30k a day, but honestly, like 30k a day for a supercell game, that's not even peanuts qualified.

That's nothing there, basically.

So

that's a long-term.

What's Boom Beach doing right now, comparatively?

Boom Beach.

Yeah.

You really want to compare with Boom Beach?

No, but I mean, it's like that's the other smallest app in their portfolio, right?

I mean, daily revenue?

Sure, you can compare.

Why not?

Like, to add more.

go back on the other one.

Go back on the other one.

Which one?

I don't know why.

Why

should you?

You want a daily revenue?

Yeah.

I need to recalculate.

By the way, Clash Royale is still going haywire.

Bananas, yeah.

So

where's September 8th?

Clash Royale, 2.6 million.

Brollstars, 800k, clash of plans, 70k, heyday, 500k, boom beach, 45k, moco.

so

if they push a little bit more you maybe they get over boom beach

okay

that's the spirit but let me just finish here with this last picture because it's like well worth the read

yeah if you didn't catch it we have a separate podcast just talking about this whole not we you have you you do you have you have

you can yeah of course that's why we say you have not we it's a whole episode done by Mr.

Yakubremiar

reviewing this amazing.

Yeah, so you see the straight line up here basically where the game just goes up and up and up and just first September had like peak of four and a half million.

But look,

so I should I should back off a little bit because this clearly say they can turn the ship around.

Yeah, they can.

It's just if you have a baseline.

Yeah, but if you have a baseline of 600K per day, it's better than if you have 60 euros per day, as with Walco.

Because what kind of figure if you can get it?

I still think the thing is that they don't share or have a central structure because it's Supercell to that point that you see, for instance, what happened in Brawl Star is just now happening at Clash Royale.

Yeah, but Brawl Star is already kind of climbing.

No, no, but I mean,

the paradigm shift in the economy and everything.

Oh, yeah.

If it would be consistent with companies like, I don't know, Century or Hubby or any other like of these like central entities

be translated already, but I still think like the teams in Supercell have too much autonomy, not too much, but basically

I don't think you can say that without being in their mind,

yeah.

I just mentioned my

speculation, but yeah, Clash Rail is killing it, Moko is going nowhere.

That's how the situation is.

So let's move on.

Next,

this is our second most watched episode of the podcast, which is called

Last Z.

That was called Fop Girl.

No, it's not called Top Girl.

That's just Mattis Clickbait post.

It's called Last Z Survival.

Yes.

And this is the game that implemented the OnlyFans feature, if you remember.

Just OnlyFans.

AI only, by the way.

Yes.

Yeah.

So looking at it, another hockey stick.

There we go.

So, wow, and if it keeps increasing, you can climb to the moon from that charter.

Geez.

This is pretty good.

What's the user base on this?

Pretty good.

DAUs 1.4 million on a Forex game, which is fucking massive.

Even though there's a lot of India.

I mean, you need to

follow someone.

Yeah, I mean, lots of food.

Yeah, let's do one more exercise here with the charts, and you see where I'm going.

So let's not do more exercises here.

This one, this one.

We can just talk about the first one.

This one.

And

this one.

I think I have all, yeah.

Or anymore.

Dark War, Lazzie, Top Heroes.

Oz War.

I guess.

Yeah.

So.

These are just active users, which means there's like

somehow like

Vitamayox sites,

and then we have daily revenue, which is now approaching 6.6 million a day,

still going up.

I leave this chart here, we'll use it later with some other comparison.

Okay, so and this is the games that we only know about, which again, most people don't know about, which is one company.

Anyway,

screw them really.

Oh, yeah.

This was the end of March.

We're still in March.

And

we're so packed with like so significant games.

Yeah, this thing's just passed.

This is an episode by Felix Braberg, by the way, from Vietnamese.

Hits.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

So they're still keeping their 400k a day baseline somewhere there.

I even wrote about wrote about ICAM, like a standalone article, because it this is just insane.

Yeah, this is insane.

And you know what is even more insane?

I bet you didn't read the article, obviously, but they

also have an apps business which is insanely big.

Really?

Their subscription business is starting to get really impressive.

They're going after

one of their app, which is a remote, remote control app, made $7 million already.

Yes.

Look, AI chat, cast for Chrome, Cast TV, cast, like, like, man, like, so many different things.

It's insane.

Seriously.

Okay.

They have publishing

business, yes, 500k downloads last

month.

Find the remote control here,

remote control, smart TV.

There's there is like 600k, but if you, if you go, yeah, the one below, if you click on it, yeah,

there's like only last last 30 days, that's only last three days.

It's only last three days.

Look, if you go revenue all time, it's 7 million

PV remote smart control and that takes 10 million.

10.

What the fuck is happening here?

Exactly.

Look at the number, like downloads.

5 million downloads.

Like, are you kidding me?

That's all you include them in another

current.

Yeah, I was actually thinking about it.

It's all

because this doesn't work anywhere else because of all the streaming platforms.

Like,

exactly.

Yeah, exactly.

I was looking to like, why are they like here?

And they have like 10 million different accounts.

Everything under IK.

So they do 14 million IP revenue already a month.

Yeah, and that's basically all.

Screw them.

Almost, almost all.

That's amazing.

Yeah, Vietnam's really rising.

You should read my post.

You can

find out a lot of different stuff.

That's interesting.

But yeah, this thing is...

It's paid, so you wouldn't read it anyway because you're cheap fuck.

Of course.

But this thing is, I would say

it's pretty stable.

Yeah, Yeah, it's very stable.

It's just very stable.

Active users are also kind of very stable, even though they're nearly re hitting record high, but it's it's just stable.

Yeah, yeah, if you're here, can you can you check the epic merge on in their account so we know because it's very, very new.

Yeah, it's man, it's like f couple of days.

Epic merge rogue like several defense?

Yes, this one.

We wanna see revenue or the screenshots.

Just know just what's happening because

I think this is...

Seems like a test, yet.

Yeah, okay.

This just launched on iOS as well, I think.

When did it launch?

I started the...

The icon reminds me of Diggy's Adventure.

Yeah, a little bit.

Yeah, this is it.

Okay, let's see.

You know what this is?

I know what it is.

I know.

Yeah, I started playing now.

It's a combination of Doodle Magic and Backpack Hero.

Everybody's doing

sure, but I'm not sure like what's what this is gonna do.

Doodle magic and backpack hero means bacon's revenge, yes, pretty much, which is that yeah, yeah, we'll see.

Okay, next one,

so we have kink shot, and this is the biggest thing in the thing

because

this went all the way up to three million a day

last month,

and uh,

yeah it seems it's maybe peak

we'll see we seem to never know because century games currently

you said a few times about uh

it peaked already and then it peaked never yeah yeah

it kept growing I did ask Heaven about this Amplify in Barcelona last week and I was like so you guys are really bringing it to Rivergame now and it's like no they're still way bigger

well

yeah so these guys, you see, these two games are the same as the portfolio you've seen there, but again, nothing including China revenue is included, nothing including China App Store revenues, like the Android stores and the things that we don't see and their whole portfolio.

So, so on paper, those are the same as we see, but just saying.

They have more games.

Yeah, they have more games, of course, and bigger studios.

But it seems that the White House Survival has

you've said that before so don't pay attention to him ladies and gentlemen yeah exactly did already like million times oh yeah doesn't mean

it's gonna be like super interesting because king shot for me is currently the best

game of the year yet for now as for like the the most

mobile one like a new one for this year new one oh yeah

yeah i don't see any anyone else coming even most of the games are still increasing from this review radar that's quite unique where the curses forgot about supercell

that's one yeah it's usually like 70 of the games yeah exactly we'll get there

yeah already in or hopefully in the half of the episode yeah so

there was this game which was a meme called i am cat and i'm security in the spec double episode which we did on

start of april 7th and interestingly i put two games there actually they're super stable.

Yeah.

I was like, I thought this would just go and die off.

No.

Because remember,

this is somewhere when we did the episode.

Somewhere in the game.

Yeah,

and I was like, oh, it just goes down and like dead.

No.

These games are basically pulling in.

Show me the real metric.

This doesn't mean anything.

Exactly.

It doesn't mean anything.

US is still.

Until you show me the active user base, it doesn't matter.

Active user base.

It's on record high.

There we go.

There you go.

20% US.

That's quite a lot of money.

So this is quite a lot of money.

And it's record high.

3 million old games.

There you go.

Where's the curse?

I don't see that.

Yeah, the curse not there.

But I'm CAT is definitely much bigger than IMCA.

Yeah, it's very interesting.

Because it's way broader.

Yeah, yeah.

Just better.

Let's say together 70 to 100K at this level, I would say, roughly.

Probably.

Probably.

Revenue-wise, of course, there's nothing because there's like, you know, we've seen that, but still being able to pull off.

Like, maybe let's try the new trick that Mate told me.

So, pay that's 30%.

That's pretty good, which means the rest is organic.

Profit here is all the organics that you get in, right?

Yeah.

But it's a straight line.

That's that's the beauty of this whole thing.

It doesn't move, straight line, doesn't move, and it hasn't moved for six months.

Yeah, it's a franchise now.

Yeah, after the VR game, it's a franchise.

It just goes and goes and goes and goes.

We'll see.

Yeah, but this is just amazing.

Great, great to work as something.

Moving on, we have...

Yeah, I just wanted to check the whole portfolio, but it's just like there's the Frostworld game, but basically this is there.

We have so many other studios.

Yeah, which we don't see on the account, so not there.

Anyway, moving on.

Matching Story.

Yeah, so there was this game called Matching Story, which was was super interesting because it was a match, it was a merge, or it was a plane.

It was a plane.

No, it's Superman.

So, yeah, this was a very old game.

I want to just pause here because

I'm sure you didn't get the memo, Yaku, but today is white.

That day was all black.

I thought about

it.

But today, did I bring my white-out survival t-shirt today?

Yes, you know.

I'm sorry, the listeners,

we've let you down again.

But next time, Jakub will get the man with a bump still.

But wearing my fun t-shirt from I know.

Turkey t-shirt.

Yeah, anyway,

this goes still up.

This is my favorite game.

This is

my favorite game.

You know why it's my favorite game?

Because it's a Chinese studio and they're doing quite well in match and merge together.

This game is just

showing them how to do it.

Yeah, there's no other game similar to this.

It has these two cores in one.

Very interesting.

And 300k on a four-year-old game, basically.

Yes.

With these types of downloads.

20k.

Let's do the bullshit filter.

Yeah, it's still US

pristine traffic, basically.

Yeah.

50% of everything is US.

Yeah.

Yeah.

This is just amazing.

Like really amazing.

Okay.

Do you know how much more money could they earn in that US?

Yeah, I remember the episode.

I know.

So much more if you call FastSpring, because the No Drama D2C partner that's been scaling for over 20 years with all the mobile publishers around the world.

They're fast-growing, profitable, reliable, which is more than you can say for most of the other vendors in this D2C space.

So whether you're launching a new web store, replacing your current D2C setup or adding a backup plan or maybe you want to just mediate the the web shops fastspring is here for you so check them out at fastspring.gg

go and check fastspring.gg and get the web shop up and running thank you very much guys for sponsoring this episode and thank you very much fiaku for always fucking following me for it

anyway uh next one this is very interesting case because i was originally waiting for this moment and this moment happened just today.

Waiting for it.

Crashed or increased or I don't know.

So there was this game called DC Dark Legion.

It's still there.

It's still there.

It was this kind of new take on Forex with DCIP.

They had this like

very

experimental map.

Where it is.

This one, because you don't have the usual Forex map.

This one.

Yeah.

It's a Batman side

symbol.

Yeah, ended up like Batman.

Yeah, look, look, look, it is.

I know it is, but I'm just saying,

doesn't lead to anywhere because, like, the thing is that it's a little bit close to something like top girl regarding the streamline of the Forex core.

You already said this during the episode.

Yeah, I know, but I'm just saying, like, it just doesn't make sense to me in Forex terms.

Like, it's just like

too much gotcha, too much.

This has to go down.

This has to go down.

yeah it's going down it's going down it's slowly going down my guess is that they're obliged to like keep the ua or whatever because of the contract or i don't know what

but like

yeah this is this is going nowhere so dude look at that look at that ski mountain from you

that's that's dcip that that's there that's dcip and their margin waving them away

black slope right there you you need to be very careful going down there yeah black slope of death

yeah the problem that i wanted to show you is that there's this other game that we reviewed

tiles survive which is basically no experimentation carbon copy of dark world

that's dark war dark war

dark world

and today

today the game finally went over this game in daily revenue so there we go this is this is how experimentation can end up with with nothingness it's i don't think it's because of the experimentation it's because of the ip and it's just just you know we need to do something with the IP I still think that if they would do tile survive style game copying reversion one-to-one with DC IP it would be better they can't because of the UA the UA on tile survive it's that's the main driver of the revenue also you mean like they can do because of the IP the UA shit then people that are giving them the IP don't understand the whole thing

I never heard that story before yeah

but like forex it's new works on UA.

If you can't do shit with UA, you're shit.

It's very simple.

You just explain 99% of the market.

Yeah, so that's there.

Anyway, this game is going to be dead soon, sometimes later.

Same as

Age of Empires Mobile.

Like, literally, the same kind of curve.

But nostalgia.

It's even worse.

This one is even worse.

No, it's not even worse, man.

It's even worse.

It's even less.

already.

Okay.

See?

So

I'd ski down that.

Exact same thing.

Yeah, we'd ski down that.

There's not even a map.

It's just a wall.

No, but look at look at last last 30 days.

There's something happening.

My guess is that, again, some IP requirements that you need to not abandon it immediately.

I know.

No, but there's a new update because these dark roads are going nowhere.

These are the old, old style Forex games that don't have place in the current Forex market.

It's just kind of too

ruthless for them.

I agree with that.

But Nostalgia UA.

Nostalgia.

Look where Nostalgia UA got you.

Anyway,

this is a better one.

Chess.com,

which we reviewed, and that during like late months.

What time is this?

What

chess.com is April 21st this year.

April 21st.

Oh, I look quite like.

Yeah.

So if you best shape ever.

If you saw few controversies in between, like there was this like thing that Magnus was again playing some guy and then guy was cheating on him.

And yeah, he's basically a drama queen, but he plays perfectly because he brings so much traffic to this.

It's their UA man.

Like he knows what he's doing.

So anyway, revenue is still here.

Yeah.

Revenue is still going up to something like

100 nearly 200k a day, which is not still counting the website, yeah, because they already had the website and they already said 70% of their money, anyway.

So, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, they already said that they're 500 million already lifetime,

so that's there, and downloads are going also super strong, like I would say, perfect,

and then active user base is oh, are you joking?

How much is the DAU, please?

Show me yesterday, just show me the 40 14 million.

Yeah, I mean, we had this, we had this debate.

We had

how much money they could earn, and you were already, you were already like crying, basically.

We had this debate in April,

they even increased it in the meantime, a little bit, yeah, a little bit.

Just go to check your yeah, you mute Felix if you're trying to scream.

I know

he's crying.

Let me cook.

Let me go.

Let me cook.

Let me cook.

Just just like, but he needs to be silent because now he's just like, fuck.

Oh, but this is really insane.

I know.

I know we had this discussion with

Felix over here.

One interstitial on that user base

to 75% of the user base is 8K a day.

How much is the IAP per day?

100k.

We love 25K.

Okay.

Okay.

So basically, if we play this, all they need to do is show 5 to seventy-five percent of the user base, they're earning 200k a day.

Thank you, you have my number.

Let me double your money.

Better go Felix, no, no, no, but they will never do it anyway.

They won't do it, they just won't do it.

Impressive, you know, great, let's move on.

The thing is that they don't have a competitor yet.

That's that's the thing.

They don't have a competitor.

There is a yeah, and if you don't have the competition, then you've seen

people going after I've seen people as well.

I've seen dead dead people sometimes.

We'll have this conversation again soon when somebody pushed them to the wall.

So we'll see.

Can you add there?

Just make it app, like unified apps, and then above, just to add apps, just add offline chess by Game of Asian.

I just want to see what that compares to offline chess.

Which one?

Or just chess, just search chess overall.

Because the second biggest one, scroll down,

it is $4 million.

and go go active user base and then just unified app unified apps.

Wow,

they're dominating.

110.

All right, I told you they don't have competition.

That's their biggest problem.

Okay, next.

Moving on.

Dreamy Room.

Dreamy Room.

Yeah, that was fucking hard.

Very good.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

It's going pretty good, actually.

Ooh,

a day.

This is mostly

revenue, was it?

Yeah.

$110k a day still on downloads.

This was not majority ad revenue.

It was.

It was.

It was.

Oh, it was 90% ad revenue.

90%.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I would say for this kind of game, it's pretty good that we didn't see a bigger decline.

I mean, I think this has pretty good retention.

I think this has pretty good retention.

I see.

The retention was good there, definitely.

Don't even go here.

Like, it doesn't matter.

Yeah.

This doesn't work.

Whatever.

Yeah, but

because if it has really 1% DAU, 1%, you know, 1% 90-day revenue, this would just die quickly.

Yeah, yeah.

Because there is no UA almost.

So it needs to be something else.

Anyway.

Looks good.

But they're growing IAPs.

They're growing IAPs.

They're growing IPs.

Yes.

Yeah, so that's the thing.

Vietnam is learning.

I would say

that's the most important metric.

Hard to see because ad revenue is 90%, so it's hard to say.

Like, yeah, IEP archive is growing, but there's no ad revenue.

So it's not a very good idea.

Sure, but still.

Yeah, but I think

there are changes happen changes happening because

downloads are low, IIP is up.

So what might

change is also lower, yeah, lower.

A change is the

profile of the users as well.

And the focus on IIPs rather than just ads.

Yeah, but you see here somewhere here later, like there weren't really big updates during the summer.

Now they started pushing it.

Yeah, yeah, like to IIPs.

Because you know what's happening.

Christmas.

Oh, well,

you laugh now, but

he's gonna print money in

December.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Oh my god, they're gonna squeeze everybody with us.

We're gonna get some more info, hopefully, on this one here in Vietnam in November.

So we'll see.

Is it Word Search Explorer next?

No, there will be Words Explorer in this episode.

But before, we're gonna look at the game that took over genre that was, you know, did one before.

So, this is the Solitaire.

Yes, Matti's favorite game.

My favorite game until you fucking hit the Toy Story episode.

Yeah.

Never, never go, never past it.

They're doing it by doing very clever because now they have the little stitch icon

of the movie.

Whoa, that's so clever.

Yeah.

Yeah, well, they man,

what do you mean so

you have the IP, you have to do it.

You have to do it.

You're so clever because it's in the contract.

I don't know if it's in the contract, but every time there is a Marvel Marvel or Disney or whatever movie and games with the iPods, everybody changed the icon, everything is in the game.

Yeah, yeah, always.

It means your UA team has two brain cells.

Okay.

No.

Why are you so rude?

It's obvious that you would do it now.

I mean, of course.

Because if you don't do it, then you have the two brain cells because you write whatever.

Yeah, yeah.

That's what I said.

Anyway, number record 650k a day

and still rolling it in on 550k.

So I guess this was this eight-day event: Lion King stick a new album.

So, that's why

it's basically the new album on September, like new season.

That's why we see spikes here.

But let's see updated the game downloads-wise, it's a little bit worse.

It's definitely not 300k the day before, but still, I would say in solitaire category, doing something like 40k downloads a day is pretty good.

That's there.

If you go to active user base, it's still pretty solid.

Don't see problems there.

I have actually one more chart here, and this is the most important one.

Yeah, this is last 30 days Solitaire category, which means that Platica is owning Platica.

Basically, Solitaire Grand Harvest went down, and Disney Solitaire is still growing like 20% month over month.

Yeah, because it's newer and better game.

Yeah, and then we have now.

Now, instead of sorry, instead of 10 million, our revenue have 25.

Yeah, now they have 25, exactly.

And then we have Candy Curse Solitaire, which we also reviewed, which is doing 1 million a month and still declining.

So, yeah, like it's actually, I look at it a little bit, it's actually

getting stabilized a little bit, but the problem is that the stable scale is really not okay.

It's this, it's there since the very beginning.

Yeah, yeah, it's basically this.

So it's the same, I mean, which is kind of impressive, but also quite.

Yeah, I wouldn't skate down.

It is that.

It's just like, I'm sorry, yeah.

Like this is this is like again the curse of king, unfortunately.

But we'll see.

Maybe they pull over somehow, but I'm not really

let's say or maybe I'm really skeptical about this.

Like, just Playtika owns the whole category for now and wipes the floor with everyone else.

So we'll see what happens there.

What?

Man,

they have they have a coupon of fifteen percent

more value on the on the on the shop, which you can apply any time.

Oh, really?

Yeah.

Any web shops redirects yet?

I don't see.

I would guess that they would have like a super strong web shop game because it's Platika.

They're bragging about it.

Yeah.

On the earnings call, so for sure they have to.

They have to target for like 40% web shop revenue.

So I guess that at some point you will be jumped by a web shop pop-up.

I mean, there is also Ratatui chef and cooker.

You just cook meals there.

Oh my god.

So good.

You hungry?

Yeah.

No, but I would do anything.

Let's go Word Search Explorer.

Come on.

One more.

One more.

So there's Drama Pops, which we live reviewed with our great friends from Codeway.

And that thing is doing pretty well, I would say.

Scaled to have a much more stable one million a month, pretty much benchmark, which is really 3K a day.

I really hope I will have a surprise for you guys, but let's not jinx it yet.

Okay.

It's regarding short uh drama tradema thing yes let's maybe look there a little bit it's always there but interesting i also wrote a pos about this it's the whole category that real short is making 40 million a month

drama box is bigger though yeah real short is doing 36 million last 30 days drama box is doing 32 million real short wasn't the first one when we review it before it was was it was already 20

it's 22 how much is this wait if you scroll down how much are they all earning together just want to see you don't see there oh you don't you don't see okay let's call it 50 or 60 mil a month right if i was the head of strategy

more

just first two are worth 70.

yes

i was like

something 100 for sure and i'd go get 100 way past 100 plus also like sadness is like 120 right let's say that but like if i was

CEO, I would take a screenshot of that and go in and fire someone.

Netflix.

Netflix, of course, yeah.

Like, this is this is all like this whole chat screams, like, Netflix, you failed with your whole game strategy.

Like, that's.

I'm just so amazed.

Like, we talked about this 10 months ago, and now everybody's like, have you seen the new trend throw drama?

Yeah, I seen it fucking 10 months ago.

And there's nothing.

They did put like this game.

Head of the hell industry with us.

Nothing.

Doesn't matter.

Anyway, let's Let's go.

This thing just goes on.

We don't see the Chinese guys as well because it went

to Crazy Maple Studio.

The whole category, man.

The whole category.

Yeah, yeah.

The whole

Crazy Maple Studio also came from China.

Surprised, surprised.

Surprised.

Okay.

Yes.

Anyway, yeah, real short still

digging it, even though they peaked here in June, but I guess it will be just temporary because this is just, I would say, summer downturn and we'll get back here on September.

So, my guess is they'll go even higher.

Maybe let's look at,

yeah,

20 million downloads a month.

And

how much?

I need daily.

This is something.

You keep forgetting also is 20 million, 20% ad revenue on top of there as well.

Yeah.

5 million activities.

Yeah, they'll get there.

Just like the steamrolling over this whole thing.

Anyway, Word Search Explorer.

By the way,

this is a very popular episode for some reason.

It's amazing.

It's ad revenue.

It's beautiful ad revenue.

Yeah,

Swedish success stories and Indian success stories.

It's just a great episode.

Sponsored by ads.

I guess Felix sent his whole family to watch this.

Yeah, of course.

Yeah, all

of the Sweden.

So downloads have definitely peaked during early

part of the year, which means that it's still pulling in

100 plus K downloads a day.

Revenue is uh not really existent it's like yeah no ads offer or what was it like five k a day but again active users as always it's at the record highs that so how much is that seven point seven two million two million two million plus basically okay so when we did the episode i must mention that uh 157k a day in ad revenue but it was 2.7 million so

nice 140 may 17 so exactly here

so they even grew from there.

Nice.

Funny thing is, rewarded, 70k a day.

Interstitial, 60k a day.

Banners, 12k a day.

Because banners are dead.

So what's the overall number that you you said there?

Or it's now?

In May I said 150-ish K a day.

And then probably now is 130, 120, somewhere around there.

Still pretty good.

I would have guessed that they would fall fall down sooner with this kind of UA setup.

Go to the category.

Let's see how Word Search Explorer is faring compared to them in the last 30 days.

Well, this is definitely good.

Like, they're doing better than I expected.

Now that I look at it, maybe this radar wasn't that bleak as I thought it would be.

Yeah, I mean, this is

we need to do words of we did words of wonder, didn't we?

No, we didn't.

But like, you pitched it as oh, this is gonna be terrible.

And it's like, basically, everything's going up.

That's up, Jakubina.

I mean, mean, maybe it was just you as your mood because you start this as a very

dark episode.

Oh, yeah, because the

podcast,

curse of the podcast.

Out of 15 games, all three are gonna

go into hell.

Jeez, what's happening with Cryptogram here, huh?

Jesus, they were number two before, huh?

Yeah, but in terms of revenues, they're still number two.

They're doing

users know that.

this category has active user base yeah active user base is what we mean okay fine

active user base let's do that you can also no active user base no

words of wonder is still much trickier yeah i mean

the turks will never let that spot go without a fight of course

we should do the new york times thing at some point we should we should why not Because it's a waste of ad space.

Because they don't have that much ads, do they?

Like,

No.

I'm gonna find that person in New York and shake them.

I mean, anyway, that was...

If you go back, they make...

I mean, this is just like, what, like, seven mil a month?

But this is not like...

Who?

New York Times game?

Yeah, but Fugo Games makes like 15, so yeah.

They hold like 200k a day a day.

That's a pretty good thing.

Yeah, I mean, it's not bad, yeah.

Chess.com and this guy I'll find.

Bang their two heads together.

Oh, wow, what was here?

Let me just check.

That's just an anomaly.

That can't be.

Oh, wow.

200k big anomaly.

Yeah, okay.

I know they have 200k baseline.

Let's just say that

that's like that's great.

And their downloads are

I don't know what's the connection between the subscription to the New York Times and like all these other things.

I guess at some point we need to dig into it because it's just important to understand.

What is important to understand when to stop.

Yeah.

Yep.

Right now.

And now.

Thank you so much.

Bye bye.

Thank you very much.

Yeah, go to the comment section, please share your notes, comments, ideas for the next episodes, whatever else.

Obviously, see you in our Slack channel.

And until next time, bye-bye.

Bye.

Fifty games?

No.

How many reversed hockey sticks are we seeing tonight?

Not that many.

Not that many.

Welcome to the Saturday episode.

Welcome to the Saturday.

There's gonna be a lot of curses of the podcast, as usual.

Obviously.

No, okay.

Curse of the podcast.

Some stability, some nice curves, but a lot of actual

tragedies, seems to me.

Can I do the intro?

I feel like I have a good one.

Yes.

Hello, everyone, and welcome to another fantastic episode of the Two and a Half Gamers podcast.

Today, we are reviewing our famous review radar, where we look back on all the games that we have covered so far in the last quarter to see how they are growing or going down.

Yaku, what's in the rear view mirror of the last quarter?

I'm proverb my name is Matia

and my name is Yakuza.

Why am I gonna shoot my pants?

Why do I think by the way you have the wrong mic on?

I don't know but it was so funny.

To me like it's the one.

Yeah it is by default.

Oh it is yeah let's start again.

Let's start again.
