Legend of Elements Review: Legend of Mushroom 2.0, but 3D. Did it work?
Legend of Elements is a 3D idle RPG from the LoM lineage. Core fantasy is “numbers go up,” delivered via auto-progress + layered upgrades, then monetized through stacked gachas and step offers.
Ads exist but are effectively a decoy; there isn’t even a “remove ads” pack.
UA is ~98% Google (YouTube + AdWords) with AI/UGC and “fake gameplay” motifs.
Systems & sinks (what actually drives playtime/spend)
• Two gachas: character (spirits) and skill, with very low SSR rates; also ad-summon entries (“2 free summons for an ad”).
• “Online chest”: ~5x/day random gacha ticks, granted every ~5 minutes online.
• 3–4 battle passes active during launch window; heavy event stack and daily quests.
• Notification-baiting tactic: tiny “free” rewards (e.g., 5 soft-currency) inside every shop/offer to create badge-clearing behavior and force shop opens.
Monetization architecture (how money happens)
• Ads are a decoy to lift IAP; no VIP/no-ads pack to sell the removal.
• Primary pay drivers: gachas + step offers (offer ladders surfaced early/often).
• Panel consensus: at ~$100K/day IAP scale, there’s little incentive to optimize ads.
UA mix & creatives (why it scales on Google)
• ~98% of impressions from YouTube + AdWords; almost nothing elsewhere.
• Creative pillars: AI faces/VO, UGC narratives, meme remakes, Genshin/Diablo-style “fake gameplay.”
• Uses creator placements (e.g., known Supercell YouTubers featured as ad talent).
Servers & competitive pressure (why shard)
• Thousands of small shards opened continuously; servers “die,” then merge, resetting the race.
• Keep leaderboards small so winning feels plausible; too many whales per shard depresses motivation.

Speaker 1 inplay.
Speaker 1 You know what? I want to say, I would watch a reality TV show where we fly
Speaker 1 a creative team from China to visit the Ubisoft office in Paris and speak to their creative team.
Speaker 1 It'd be great. Like, it'd be great.
Speaker 1
It's 4 a.m. and we're rolling the dice.
Mate drops knowledge made of gold and ice. Felix with ads making those coins rise.
Jackup designs, worlds chasing the sky.
Speaker 1
With a two and a half gamers, the midnight crew talking UA adverts and game design too. Mateish, Felix, Shaku, bringing the insight.
We're rocking those vibes till the early daylight.
Speaker 1
But stay you aim, master eyes on the prize. Tracking data through the cyberspace skies.
Felix stacks dollars like a wizard in disguise. Jackups craft around us to the highs.
Speaker 1
Two and a half gamers talking smack. Slow hockey stick, got your back.
Ads are beautiful, they like the way. Click it fast, don't delay.
Uh-huh.
Speaker 1 Uh-huh.
Speaker 1 Uh-huh.
Speaker 1 Yes, like that's how it works.
Speaker 2 And honestly, I have no idea which game are we gonna talk about today?
Speaker 1 Legend of Elements.
Speaker 1 Legend of Elements. Okay, Legend of Elements.
Speaker 2
Elements. It's legendary.
It's by the guys who made Legend of Mushrooms. Welcome, everybody.
My name is Matje Lancaric.
Speaker 1 I'm Felix Broberg. And I'm Jakubremiar.
Speaker 2 And we can finally hear your voice.
Speaker 1 Yeah.
Speaker 2 Thank you so much for coming. And we are your hosts.
Speaker 2 And I have so many screenshots from the post-production from last week because not even Felix Brauberg was not Felix Brauberg,
Speaker 2 but also Jakub Remiar was not Jakub Remiar.
Speaker 1 And I'm going to add it into this. Really?
Speaker 1 AI.
Speaker 1 Is that AI that's
Speaker 1 not doing what it's told? Yeah.
Speaker 1 Exactly. Exactly.
Speaker 1 Which is bullshit.
Speaker 2 I mean, it was so hilarious. So, for the last podcast we did, my name is Matthia Lancic, Felix Braberg, I'm feeling proper.
Speaker 1 And Jakub, I'm not, I'm going to cover my own.
Speaker 2 That's amazing. Okay, so I think we should just
Speaker 1 stop fucking around and just actually
Speaker 2 looking into the Legend of Elements, which
Speaker 2 is
Speaker 1 a great game. Can I just start by giving an award to
Speaker 1 the website for the best gaming company websites of all times. Like, look at this website.
Speaker 1 It's got writing, it's got terries and C's, terms of service, privacy, and this is it. What's that? What's the TXT file? Oh, I see, yeah.
Speaker 1
They don't even have one. Join it.
Yeah. Yeah, join it.
Speaker 1
Join mobile network. Like, that's their website.
This is it. Yeah.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 Ah.
Speaker 1 So literally, you don't need anything else.
Speaker 2 Exactly. Yeah, you don't need anything else.
Speaker 1 But they can build games that they can.
Speaker 2 So, look, you need to have terms and service to just upload the game.
Speaker 1 So, this is it.
Speaker 2 Privacy policy?
Speaker 1 This is it.
Speaker 1 I mean, what else do you need?
Speaker 2 I mean, they're making two million a day.
Speaker 1 I don't care about the website. Two million a day?
Speaker 1 I'm joking. Still, we don't see
Speaker 1 which revenue in the first place, and then this is not doing that much. Anyway,
Speaker 1 hello, everybody.
Speaker 2 Thanks for uh joining this episode. Our sponsor, Fast Spring, has delivered D2C at scale for over 20 years.
Speaker 2 They power top mobile publishers around the world and are reliably fast-growing, profitable, and very financially secure.
Speaker 2 So FastSpring isn't just figuring out D2C on the heels of the recent V C investment.
Speaker 2 Their developer first platform and deep gaming and payment expertise have helped democratize global commerce for over two decades.
Speaker 2 As no drama D2C partner, with real world experience at scale, Fast Spring is a partner that you can trust with your players.
Speaker 2 Quickly launch a new web store, replace an existing D2C vendor, or just add redundant D2C vendor at fastspring dot gg. Thank you very much, guys, for sponsoring this episode.
Speaker 2 Now, let's get back to the content. Bye-bye.
Speaker 1 Because I don't understand it. Oh, really? Like every Asian game.
Speaker 1 Didn't you learn from Hantopedia? Because this is basically a refined version of Hantopedia.
Speaker 2 Hantopia.
Speaker 1 The high Hantopedia.
Speaker 1 It's not an encyclopedia. Again, we have a little bit less menus, but this game is basically played by you taking off notifications, and that's like 99% of the game.
Speaker 2 And that's pretty much it.
Speaker 1 And then once you collect them all, they reset and you do it again. Forever.
Speaker 1 That's the game we started.
Speaker 1 So imagine this basically being like a Legend of Mushroom style Alba RPG, but instead of 2D stuff being thrown at you from right to left, it's 3D. Yeah, that's like there's like three camera angles.
Speaker 1 We can like, you know, go outside or whatever. I even move the character a little bit, but doesn't really make any sense.
Speaker 1
Just like mobs are following us anyway, and it'll move to the next spec anyways. It's just visualization, nothing else, really.
So don't get confused.
Speaker 1 This is as idle RPG as Legend of Mushroom is as it is. Basically, kind of the same thing.
Speaker 2 Is this again like the shortest episode ever?
Speaker 1 It won't be the shortest. There's some actual innovation and stuff there, but honestly, I think,
Speaker 1 yeah, Legend of Mushroom seemed more revolutionary to me, to be honest, because that was upgrading the Legend of Slime whole setup that we were talking about.
Speaker 1
Here, guys, for instance, you know, this is the signature inventory that they were using. There's their stuff.
You have this guy who literally, like, this dragon who cooks the gear, so you need
Speaker 1 yeah, charmander from wish, and you see, like, he starts cooking,
Speaker 1 you fill him up by holding holding the thing. I still didn't understand like if there was any auto auto-cook feature or whatever, so he starts cooking stuff gear up.
Speaker 1 Yeah, but because, like, you know, normally the lamp in Legend of Marshall, when you put it on, I know, yeah, yeah, I know, auto-auto-craft, and then it just like spits out stuff and even filters stuff that's not up to your rare.
Speaker 1 Yeah, you put rules on, and then if you put filters and rules, and you're good, and here, like, again, exact same gacha where you know, the more you craft, the bigger the you know, the levels and everything, and like we go on, like typical stuff, but this dragon, it's just like you need to just
Speaker 1
feed him shit, and then he finally crafts. Keep me in the dark, yeah.
I don't know. So then you have the gear, which he forges for you.
Speaker 1 You go to gear, then you click on replace, you replace everything that has green arrows, and then you salvage everything else, and that's it. And you do this all the time, non-stop, basically.
Speaker 1 Excuse me, excuse me.
Speaker 1
When you're playing this game, you're not really playing it. But this game makes like a hundred K a day.
But when, where is the playing? Play.
Speaker 1 It's like the future, Felix.
Speaker 2 That's the future. You play, well, except you don't play.
Speaker 1 It plays by itself.
Speaker 1 It's about people who like rising numbers. That's the whole idol genre.
Speaker 1
That's the thing. So, again, this is some basic.
Remember, Idol Minor Tycoon, I still have to crest the mines. I still have to be the genius.
No, you don't.
Speaker 1 You automate stuff there as well.
Speaker 1 It's like
Speaker 1 and hence all feature, like
Speaker 1 later down the line, again, you see that I need to go just into different unlocks and like different tiers where I will unlock more slots, which are usually like more weapons, artifacts, a mount or whatever, like some other like upgrade stuff, things and whatever.
Speaker 1 This is even, yeah, so we all don't know.
Speaker 1
Yeah, so that's there. Then we have our character.
Exact same setup as last time. So there are three characters that kind of morph and you can even switch between the characters if you want for once.
Speaker 1 There was the warrior, tiger, then there's shield and sword, guy and sorcerer. Very similar to the mushroom thing, like literally the same.
Speaker 1
You upgrade these guys by having these crystals which you can get from AFK rewards. Here you have it.
The interesting stuff, and this is the innovation part,
Speaker 1 I need to get closer because the numbers are so small.
Speaker 1 So once you claim these things and everything, you see that you get the amount of increased XP based on your current DPS.
Speaker 1 So this is really interesting because, for instance, I'm currently running two stars, but if I optimize my DPS more, I will get like 5% bonus XP just because DPS? What's DPS stand for? Damage
Speaker 1 per second.
Speaker 2 That's the half gamer right there.
Speaker 2 Dear listeners, this is the half-gamer right there. Thank you very much.
Speaker 1 Now you know.
Speaker 1
Oh, Yaku, don't be afraid. Sorry.
He's not a loser, he's just not the gamer.
Speaker 2 That's it.
Speaker 1 I know, I know.
Speaker 2 Because he plays games for ads.
Speaker 1 Where's the hyper hyper casual stuff? We should do so many of it.
Speaker 1 I was like,
Speaker 2 have you heard? Like, hypercasual is dead.
Speaker 1 Yeah, it's always.
Speaker 1
So, do you know what a DSP is, though? So, yeah. Oh, yeah, that's true.
Mijiaku doesn't.
Speaker 1 I will kill your DPS with my DSP.
Speaker 1 That's a new t-shirt right there. Yeah.
Speaker 1 Okay, so we upgrade our character so he can have increased
Speaker 1 you ascend him increasing ranks like numbers go up basically nothing really to it and there's some people from the guild that help you out yada yada yada nothing really new
Speaker 1 yeah then we have the skill system this is actually a little bit different because i think back then there's a six skills or something with legend of mushroom this is a little bit more sophisticated and i guess the strategy comes a little bit more here because again, these skills are increasing in rarity.
Speaker 1 There's each slots have just specific skills that you can choose, not each of them. There's for instance just the core skill, for instance.
Speaker 1 I have just one, like I guess I guess get more, but again, very, very specific. Then we have another layer, which is these helpers, which are basically another characters that are following you.
Speaker 1 Yeah.
Speaker 1
Asian waifus or Asian spirits or whatever. So again, typical setup here.
Those are like your auxiliary characters that are following you that are also taken from the gacha.
Speaker 1 Then, we have the extra modes, as usual, like crafting realm, like get resources, trial tower, the endless tower, arena, pvp, offline mode, training ground, team mode, demon boss, blah blah blah.
Speaker 1
That's the usual thing. Interestingly, they have also this feature, which again is new.
In Legend of Mushroom, it was a little bit uh
Speaker 1 fleshed out, but you can actually go to capital, which is like city, and there are actually people here.
Speaker 1 So, this was similar to the guild feature that Legend of Mushroom had, and you can have, or you can do quests here, and like some kind of, I don't even know.
Speaker 1 Do you think that's real people, or is it just
Speaker 1 real people
Speaker 2 based on what?
Speaker 1 Based on their names.
Speaker 1 But do you think it's real, or do you think it's bots? Yeah, I would say it's fake names. Like,
Speaker 1 why would they need to have bots here? But it's real names, maybe, but not real. Like, it's not characters just hanging out there, right?
Speaker 1 Those are characters hanging out here.
Speaker 1 I wouldn't say they are not real.
Speaker 1 But they have based on names.
Speaker 1
Come on, man. Like, you can.
You can use bots for matchmaking or like all these other things, not as future.
Speaker 2 Or you don't feel alone in this city because it's it sucks.
Speaker 1 Okay,
Speaker 1 it's monster theory, let's say.
Speaker 1 Come on, look.
Speaker 1 Okay, one is moving. Okay.
Speaker 2 Yeah, so yeah, because you can't, yeah, you can't program an NPC.
Speaker 1
Yeah, you can, of course, of course. Okay, so if they are bots, they're very sophisticated.
Let me just say that.
Speaker 2 Well, I will remind this to you when we do AI episode next time.
Speaker 1 Sure.
Speaker 2 Real sophisticated bots.
Speaker 1
Welcome to the real world of 2025. That's there.
Then we have the gachas.
Speaker 1 Lots of stuff that I still have unlocked because it's just like a giant feature set as usual.
Speaker 1 This is the character gacha. So again, you just summon stuff and you get those extra characters.
Speaker 1 You, where we are, you also have ads here.
Speaker 1 So, two free summons for an ad.
Speaker 1 Again, like very, very small chances for the really, really rare people, and so on, so forth, like typical Asian stuff.
Speaker 1 Then we have the other, not clunch it, the other gacha, which is thank you, Dragon,
Speaker 1 the skill gacha.
Speaker 1 So, from here we get the skills that are upgraded and like pretty much second progression layer that's there uh as i said this is a little bit more sophisticated than oh it's like all the time not not really um i think this is a little bit more sophisticated than legend of mushroom so i guess that's there then you have some like more systems to kind of deepen out the collection there's the clan system where which is kind of pretty deep so you have some interaction with people you have uh i think the clum boss or clum blessings and like all these other things like yeah a lot of stuff i haven't seen the the part where you can like jail your enemy players or stuff like that like legendary
Speaker 1 you can like throw tomatoes at them and stuff like that
Speaker 1 torture they torture them torture them yeah i i guess they they yeah they they didn't really went for that way so that's there
Speaker 1
those are all like the main kind of features then we have lots of uh event stuff. So we have the lunch event and like all these other things because this is pretty new.
Some other quests.
Speaker 1 Yeah, this is some kind of a PVE experience thing.
Speaker 1
I don't know, even a daily quest system, of course, that's there. Then shit ton of offers that are here on the like left side of the thing.
Oh, there's even a chat.
Speaker 1 That's great.
Speaker 2 Cat and the lady.
Speaker 1 Sure.
Speaker 1 I guarantee you she's not a lady.
Speaker 1 Okay, so there's the
Speaker 1 chat system, which seems pretty alive. Great.
Speaker 1 Then the perk system, which is like, again, launch events and like the usual 3,000 draw stuff that you see in the creatives. And I don't know what.
Speaker 1
Like three or four battle passes, if I understand, they have. So they're all sitting.
This is interesting.
Speaker 1
They have this online chest, which is literally like five times a day, you can get like random gacha. And that's it.
And like each five minutes online. yeah pretty good
Speaker 1 another one of those like um yeah you spend more and you get more like just whale events basically uh socials you connect those then we have some lunch they sign in and so on so forth and then grow tier fund which is again is the usual notice also this i think like this will like this is the mechanic that i think only people in the east use and in the west people still don't bother but i think they should So it's giving these shitty rewards, like literally, like five coins or whatever soft currency into every single fucking offer.
Speaker 1
So they have a notification in it. So you open it and you need to click this out.
And now the notification is gone.
Speaker 1 So, and they put it pretty much everywhere, like in the shop, in everything.
Speaker 1 Show them again, because I think that's a really good thing. Because honestly, even with the notifications, like, yes.
Speaker 1
Every single Forex, like from Century Century and River Game, they have this exact same mechanic. Like, oh, there's a notification, I can get free shit, five coins.
And like, you've seen the offer.
Speaker 1 Because it's the like, you know, in the West, you have the shop, you go into the shop, and first thing is free, or like, last thing is free, you need to scroll, and there's like one free thing to kind of bait you into the shop.
Speaker 1 They bait you into every single fucking pop-up on the like badges that's in the main menu. Like, everyone.
Speaker 1 I can't even say, like, even with ads, like, having notifications that take you to the ad makes such a difference.
Speaker 1
Exactly. So, yeah.
Then you have some quests from the dragon, which are kind of popular because he gives you like pretty good trade deals.
Speaker 1
Then some artifacts and like other, like, so many progression systems. That's good.
But honestly, the problem that I have with this is that
Speaker 1 the progression and the overall experience, it just doesn't click with me that much compared to Legend of Mushroom.
Speaker 1 Because Legend of Mushroom, you constantly see your inventory and how it grows and increases and gets there and kind of goes and goes and goes.
Speaker 1 Whereas here, it's kind of hidden behind like seven or six progression layers, anyway, which are kind of hidden. Like, usually, the game, the whole game is like through this main quest.
Speaker 1 You just click on it and like navigate you all because it's so complicated, like, just like you click here, and that gets you to the next notification.
Speaker 1 Basically, so it's still a little bit more core than Legend of Mushroom. But if we look at the numbers later, I'm I still don't think like this will be at the size of Legend of Mushroom.
Speaker 1 It's also missing that humor, yeah, like taste, yeah, yeah, yeah. The mushroom part.
Speaker 1 This is basically funny. Very too corny.
Speaker 1 Yeah, but this is the whole thing is pretty much like very classic Chinese fantasy. Like, you know, Wukong, three kingdoms, whatever stuff, which is like so Asian.
Speaker 1 My favorite kingdom.
Speaker 1
Whatever. So what I'm saying, mushrooms are much more appealing.
Like mushrooms, because they're funny, because everything and everybody understands. Like, here you have the typical...
Speaker 1 mushroom, it was like you threw slippers. Come on, that was funny, yeah,
Speaker 1 yeah, but like, for instance, mushroom in mushrooms, you have pets, like these extra heroes or whatever, the progression layer, those are pets.
Speaker 1 These are literally just like Chinese fantasy characters, like
Speaker 1 really.
Speaker 2 So, which again, we don't know how this works on WeChat, which
Speaker 1 is because this is doing bonkers in China, and guys from Joined were just like,
Speaker 1 we'll just pull it out here we we don't need to localize or whatever do anything yeah
Speaker 1 I just
Speaker 1 because last time when we were talking with them and talking about like guys maybe making stuff a little bit more casual what do you mean yeah like what we do here do you you know people don't understand it's too complex what it's like on the it's like on the bingo episode right like when we found out the actual whole market was like a million DAO right that you're going after right ice looks here like the top 20 games is four and a half million.
Speaker 1 Like, I'm sure he was going after the same player base, you mean trying to get them into a newer game, right? Yeah,
Speaker 1
I don't even know what's the top. We can go to numbers, okay? Maybe a bit bigger than bingo.
Bingo is very specific, like a million people, right? But here,
Speaker 1 so they're first definitely on download side because they're new, but revenue-wise,
Speaker 1
last 30 days was this. I don't even know.
Yeah, legendary
Speaker 1 bank of innovation. What the fuck is this company?
Speaker 1 The Innovation.
Speaker 1 So there's this thing by Leiting, which is not even bothered to be translated, which seems to be some
Speaker 1
Chinese. Yeah, Asian RPG, as usual.
Okay.
Speaker 1
And then is this, which is Mementomori. Okay.
That's that's okay. That's anime IP, if I understand.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 Yeah. So this is again, that's there.
Speaker 2 Yeah, $40,000, 4 million revenue.
Speaker 1 Yeah, the usual.
Speaker 1 Where we are.
Speaker 1 Yeah, here's the chart. Basically, they're going after a market, let's say 5 million people, and it monetizes like crazy.
Speaker 2 I don't think it's 5 million people.
Speaker 1 We'll go on the side to sort by
Speaker 1 revenue. If we're here, we can actually go here, man.
Speaker 1 So, yeah, I'll try the RPG.
Speaker 1 All time. But
Speaker 1 is not what we need, huh? Well, we'll get there. I just want to see.
Speaker 1 So, you know, this is
Speaker 1
growing. It's growing, it's not growing anymore.
Uh,
Speaker 1 revenue-wise,
Speaker 1 it's growing, it's growing from like six million a month to 53 million a month. That's pretty good growth,
Speaker 2 yeah. But then, because I think it's because of the legend of mushroom.
Speaker 1 Well, let me check what's there. So,
Speaker 1 um, revenue, so there's this,
Speaker 2 whatever it is.
Speaker 1 Yep. That's this.
Speaker 2 Whatever it is.
Speaker 1
Whatever it is. Idol here.
This one.
Speaker 2 Like, this is like a
Speaker 2 that game is like
Speaker 1 idle hero,
Speaker 1 by the way.
Speaker 2 I know, I know, but it's all as fuck.
Speaker 1 Yeah, it's all as fuck. But let me check if this at least has an English name.
Speaker 1 Yeah. Girls Chronicle.
Speaker 1
Yeah, of course. Of course, of course.
Of course. Girls Chronicle.
It's something this is. This sounds like great.
I'd like RPG. Yeah.
And then the other one was what?
Speaker 1 China only.
Speaker 2 I don't even need to go there. It's China only.
Speaker 1 Okay.
Speaker 1 Over Mortal Idol RPG.
Speaker 1 Okay.
Speaker 1 Yeah, this is some Asia.
Speaker 2 That's a great translation.
Speaker 1 But that's the whole point of it. You know, like Asia is like RPG and Forex.
Speaker 1 They love this shit. So
Speaker 1
AFK Arena owns fourth place with 300 million. And then like this is this is both FK Arena.
So
Speaker 1
there you go. So so FK Arena is actually 500 million if you count these two together.
Like this seems like the Western version and the Asian version. So that's the top one.
Yeah.
Speaker 2 Yeah. There's Ing Hero, which is
Speaker 1 I like PG apparently.
Speaker 1
FK Journey. Yeah.
This is pretty niche category now. So
Speaker 1
that's there. Like 50 mil.
It's still like a bigger bingo. Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's good.
Speaker 1
Yeah. The game itself, as I said, I'm not expecting to move this as like over Legend of Mushroom.
Like Legend of Mushroom just seems seems to me like a better concept to begin with. Oh, there's a red
Speaker 1 chest on the cloud.
Speaker 2 Yeah, chest on the cloud.
Speaker 2 Up to play.
Speaker 1 China's
Speaker 1
where's the so this was launched October 10th, currently November 4th, doing 100k a day IP downloads wise. Yeah, as usual, it's not gonna go anywhere, man.
Those are typical RPG curves.
Speaker 1 Like you start high and then you go down. That's it.
Speaker 1 And
Speaker 1 the revenue was, I think, actually,
Speaker 1
yeah, US was first. That's why I was like interested into it.
Like, why US is doing like nearly 30%? And, like, yeah, but it's like 20,000 people in the US. I love the DAU in America.
It's the point.
Speaker 1 Asians in America.
Speaker 1 Yeah. It's like,
Speaker 1
let's not beat around here. Like, it's not Americans.
Yeah, yeah, okay. Yeah.
Speaker 1 They could be right. Like,
Speaker 2 yeah, that's a very, very nice way to put it.
Speaker 1 Okay. Yeah.
Speaker 1 Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2 So, yeah, this has like 21 countries there, but like, yeah, these US people, you can double down
Speaker 1 on
Speaker 1 50 French people.
Speaker 2 Yeah, it's that's true.
Speaker 2 But also, thanks to the fastspring.gg, you can earn more money on the top of these US people because this episode is brought to you by Fast Spring, the No Drama D2C partner that's been scaling with mobile publishers for over 20 years.
Speaker 2 Whether you're launching a new web store or replacing your current D2C setup or adding a backup plan, FastSpring is here for you. So go to fastspring.gg and launch a new web store, get more money
Speaker 2 from US now, actually, not only on iOS but also on Google Play because that's that's news from last week.
Speaker 1 We should have
Speaker 1
them on the podcast again and talk about Google Play. That would be a good episode.
Yeah,
Speaker 1 we can all update what's going on there. Yeah, or
Speaker 2 to chip about it. So as soon as we have more data,
Speaker 2 we can have them on again.
Speaker 1 Felix, you want to do your magic? Man, ads here? I have no idea.
Speaker 1 No, I had it at 15,
Speaker 1 but then I see they have no ad apps.txt file, so I have no clue. It's like they have ads, but their website is just a text page.
Speaker 1 And then there's like a lot of ad placements that I'm sure people convert with because there's more, it's valuable. But man,
Speaker 1 I don't know where to handicap the ad view array here here because i don't know and i don't know the impact because i don't know how valuable any of this stuff is because i'm playing this and i don't understand what i'm doing so like it's hard for me to like be like oh yeah this is a great ad placement that gets 45 i have no clue yeah i have no clue i i i put it at four on 45 but that that's pure guessing pure guessing And that's about 15k a day, but then they don't have an ad apps txt.
Speaker 1
I don't know. I don't know what they're doing.
I don't know. Hire an admin person.
Speaker 1 I don't think so. They don't care.
Speaker 1
I don't even know how, like, have ads or whatever. Kill me.
I don't know.
Speaker 2 No, I mean, honestly,
Speaker 2 I think more than 10%,
Speaker 2 it would be just very generous.
Speaker 1 But what I do see, which is kind of interesting, right? Legend of Mushroom had, I looked back, I think about between 16 to 18% ad revenue, right?
Speaker 1
Because they had good ad placements that I kind of understood. Because they have Legend of Slime set up.
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1 But like, these guys are kind of showing also the trend that we're seeing from a hobby, right?
Speaker 1 Everyone's moving away from ads, it's less and less with ads, and they're kind of just abandoning it, right? Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Speaker 2 These
Speaker 2 guys were never big on ads to start
Speaker 1 Legend of Mushroom was definitely bigger for sure. Yeah, but
Speaker 1
they're saying that it was an accident. It wasn't like a step.
Yeah, okay, I remember that. I remember that.
Yeah, because they were copying everything.
Speaker 1 And it's like, oh, what do we do with these ads? And since they don't have an adult XT file, I guarantee you, like, they don't care.
Speaker 1 I'm even trying to, like, yeah, let's find it. Like, do they even have this, like, you know, the annoyance strategy? Like, don't they? They don't, do they?
Speaker 1 But they have the offer, which I really like, the step offers, but I don't know why.
Speaker 1 Yeah, they have the step offers, and then have the, but they don't have this, like, you know, with ads, usually, like, with these mid-core games, it's either like they're so minuscule that, like, they just annoy you.
Speaker 1
So we sell you stuff like hubby does these days. That, like, oh, VIP, no ads, everything's done.
So, like, in your face, decoy, basically, or skip it, they don't have anything.
Speaker 2 No, I'm telling you, like, what ads are gonna be in this case, and like all the
Speaker 2 bigger games, it's just decoy for getting more
Speaker 2 in-up revenues. Because
Speaker 1 this is my point here: like, they don't even have the pack to remove the ads
Speaker 1 because why?
Speaker 2 I mean, they don't care.
Speaker 1
I don't care. I think 100k to watch this, they don't care.
Like, they don't.
Speaker 1 Of course,
Speaker 2 I don't think, like, it's, it's, yeah, it's, like, doesn't do anything.
Speaker 1 What is the big monetization mechanism in this game, would you say, Yako?
Speaker 1 What is the one that goes, like, these guys, the 26,000 people in America log on every day and they go like, oh, like, what is it they want to buy? Gotcha? Gotcha, of course, gotcha.
Speaker 1
You have, like, you know, the usual stuff. So there's, what, like, eight, ten progression layers that I'm looking at.
So gear, that's the first one. Skills, second one.
Speaker 1 Like, this is gacha, but soft one, you cannot buy through it, you just can buy the energy for it. This is, you can buy directly into skill gacha, you can buy directly into
Speaker 1 character gacha. Oh, this is some just like gallery stuff, then modes,
Speaker 1 yeah, like you can buy more resources to kind of double your daily engagement.
Speaker 1 So, you like reset these and like use gems to kind of offset stuff, and that's it, pretty much, like nothing really to it.
Speaker 1 you just get more power, like your all power, nothing else, because nothing in this game matters as for like any other verticals. You just need more power.
Speaker 1 I'm glad you said it. Thank you, yeah.
Speaker 2 It's a great episode. So, the main takeaway from playing this game doesn't matter.
Speaker 1
Just doesn't turtle. You start, there's a turtle following you.
I'm like, Are you endangered? Are you friendly? I don't know. Like, it's just flying.
Oh, the flying turtle?
Speaker 1
Yeah. Oh, they will sell you the mount later.
That's that's why there's a turtle
Speaker 1 so that's there but uh yeah like i guess the only thing that matters here is probably some of the modes here where i guess these are all leaderboard based if i understand correctly
Speaker 1 uh
Speaker 1 yeah see so this is this is the the part where whales kind of kill each other because it's leaderboard based and also keep in mind that all of these idle rpgs they live on servers similar to forex so they they they fill in the server people fight each other on the server in the leaderboards and everywhere, and the server slowly dies, and then they merge into another server.
Speaker 1 Like, if I logged in my current Legend of Mushroom stuff, it would tell, oh, the server has died, go choose another server.
Speaker 1 Like, this has the same shard system, like server shard system, as Forex, because only so many whales can be on one server, so they don't like you know, need to keep them within the winning range.
Speaker 1 But Felix left the chat exactly. Honestly.
Speaker 1 I mean,
Speaker 2 honestly, I know what you were just saying. It's just like...
Speaker 1
So you don't have one central server. You have shards, like server shards, many shards.
So many words. Let me translate to English.
Basically, people come play the game.
Speaker 1 They feed the whales with loot. And then basically.
Speaker 1 Once again. So
Speaker 1 you go into...
Speaker 1 whatever, League of Legends. You play League of Legends on European server.
Speaker 1 Everyone on European server can go play with anyone else on the European server, either based on Elo matchmaking or we're friends, we go into one game, whatever.
Speaker 1 This setup are thousands of small servers, like literally thousands of those. And each day they open new ones every single day, even now, like even during this podcast, they open probably like three.
Speaker 1 So they fill them with players, like 500, 600, whatever. And then these players, you see, they go against each other within these leaderboards.
Speaker 1
And at some point, the server dies and they need to move on. And that's it.
Which same
Speaker 1 meaning ends?
Speaker 1 Dice means like people have killed everything, you reach the end of the content, and retention kicks in. So, like, what, like less than five percent of people remain active?
Speaker 2 Therefore, and then you need to create a new server where you just put all these people just to keep them playing. Exactly, and they're just to the same thing all over again.
Speaker 1 I don't know if it's exactly what works as yeah, exactly. Uh, somewhere here, maybe here
Speaker 1 it is
Speaker 1 What? At the turtle?
Speaker 1 Okay.
Speaker 1 See? Server. E-N-E-U-N-56.
Speaker 1 This is the one. So if I go into settings and go select server,
Speaker 1
see? Yeah. Like how many servers there are.
But why?
Speaker 1 What do you mean, but why?
Speaker 1 Because
Speaker 1 my friends are there, my clan is there, because it's a new server, because like so many other different factors, basically.
Speaker 2 So, this is just like trying to get an explanation
Speaker 1 from you. So, there's like on EU, there's like 58 servers currently running, all are full because they have all these red things.
Speaker 1 So, I don't know if there's like a yeah, so there's one Russian thing.
Speaker 1 Do you think they do research on like just how big you want to have a server so people actually talk or what? Like, what is there a reason why you have it? Okay, I'm not going to.
Speaker 1 What do you mean, reason why you have it? No, no, you meant okay, so
Speaker 1
maybe Felix didn't get the memo. You can't make a giant server because people will then feel they're stomped over each other.
You just like, think of it as like events that the Royal Match has.
Speaker 1
Like, the leaderboards in those events have like 20 players maximum. Because if you increase it, it seems like hopeless.
Like, why am I even competing if there's so many people against me?
Speaker 1 So, you need to keep them clustered against each other and only so they know each other. They like it seems possible to win because there's just like 100 whales on one server.
Speaker 1
If you put more, they kill each other. Great.
Now I'm with you. Thank you.
No worries. Give me the screen.
Give me some creatives.
Speaker 2 So we can watch some creatives.
Speaker 1 You know, these guys use PVX partners.
Speaker 2 That's what I want to say. Before we go to the UA part, I want to make sure that you know that PVX partners are our dear friends and they have PVX Lambda, which is a game changer
Speaker 2 for the UA because you can plug it into your MMP and get ROS benchmarks
Speaker 2 within an hour, retention insights, or
Speaker 2
kind of a forecast where you are ready for funding. So these are the real answers.
It's 100% free. Go to pvxpartners.com/slash lambda and get your strategy on points.
PVXpartners.com/slash Lambda.
Speaker 2 Hey, Jakub, we are doing high fives again. Okay, good.
Speaker 1 High fives.
Speaker 2 Fixing your camera great.
Speaker 2 So, guess what?
Speaker 2 It's a Chinese company.
Speaker 1 Oh, creatives with the ball
Speaker 1
creatives. Wait, wait, wait, wait.
3,000. Let's see.
Let's look at
Speaker 2 98% of impressions
Speaker 2
coming from YouTube and AdWords. So basically, 100% is coming from almost 99% is coming from Google.
Everything else is absolutely English.
Speaker 1 So. No applauding.
Speaker 1 No.
Speaker 1 The type of Chinese company.
Speaker 2 Yeah, exactly. I mean, this is like being this.
Speaker 2 This is a Chinese company.
Speaker 1 You see the guy on the third one? He's the Supercell, like rank A Supercell YouTuber. Yeah.
Speaker 2
Yeah. There you go.
You know,
Speaker 2 I know this.
Speaker 1 That's like his whole channel is the Supercell.
Speaker 2 Yeah, but you know, like, you know, anymore.
Speaker 2 I mean, no, no, but like this is an ad.
Speaker 1
This is an ad. These guys need to live.
So this is. Exactly.
Speaker 2 It's like, yeah, you can't just live out of Supercell these days anymore.
Speaker 2 Anyway, so I mean,
Speaker 1 again,
Speaker 1 lots of
Speaker 2 Chinese,
Speaker 1 that's the meme.
Speaker 2 That's the meme that we we
Speaker 2 we saw this with Galaxy
Speaker 2 Defense.
Speaker 1 They
Speaker 1
actually use the meme, like the actual meme video. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
These guys use the video.
Speaker 1 They actually I'm surprised, honestly, because they
Speaker 2 do have a lot of
Speaker 2 interesting stuff.
Speaker 2 So it's like UGC, all these narrative style creators,
Speaker 2 and AI stuff as well.
Speaker 1 Really? So much AI. Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 1 Great.
Speaker 2 If maybe if you can say AI one more time,
Speaker 2 it will be more AI. It will be more AI.
Speaker 2 It doesn't matter, I mean, if it's AI or not, but they are using using a lot of AI. UGC here, UGC there.
Speaker 2 Obviously, we're going to go freeze again. Then
Speaker 1
fake gameplay. Genshin impact style.
Genshin impact style. You know what?
Speaker 1 I want to say, I would watch a reality TV show where we fly a creative team from China to visit the Ubisoft office in Paris and speak to their creative team.
Speaker 1
It would be great. Like, it would be great.
We'll get a translator. Mobile team.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Man,
Speaker 2 this would be hilarious.
Speaker 2 Because, I mean,
Speaker 2 I don't think they care too much, right?
Speaker 1 What, what, what?
Speaker 1 Right? There you go.
Speaker 2 Hello, I'm White Dragon. Sure.
Speaker 1 Showling Monk.
Speaker 2 Ugh. Yeah, yeah, shouting Monk, UGC.
Speaker 2 You've like the AI. I mean, this is definitely
Speaker 2 fake Bruce Lee, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's true
Speaker 1 with fake kill Bill
Speaker 1 it's better, man.
Speaker 2 It's like it's nice AI stuff, yeah, nice AI, a lot of different AI, by the way, and the UGC. So, I mean, this is ah, and our
Speaker 1 obviously,
Speaker 1 yeah, but look, festival winner, yeah, the Avard winning world, whatever is this
Speaker 2 RPG game, MMO RPG game of 2025.
Speaker 2 Yeah, this, but this is what Portuguese, I think.
Speaker 1 Could be.
Speaker 1
Or, or there's like seven games in that creative based on the gameplay. Seven.
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 2 Doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 Ah, here. Here's a tentacle.
Speaker 1 This tentacle thing?
Speaker 1 Yes.
Speaker 1 What?
Speaker 1 Exactly. It doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 It's just a nice EFGC video.
Speaker 1 This is AI. So,
Speaker 1 oh, award.
Speaker 1 Award, yeah, again. You just missed it.
Speaker 1 Three different games.
Speaker 2 Three different games.
Speaker 2 So, yeah, I mean, that's pretty much it.
Speaker 1 There's the brain rock,
Speaker 2 yeah. There's
Speaker 1 oh, wow, what's this? Yeah,
Speaker 1 more AI, very nice AI.
Speaker 2 Yeah, very nice. I mean, they're definitely working with AI pretty nicely.
Speaker 1
This is nice. This is pretty cool.
This is nice AI.
Speaker 1 Yeah.
Speaker 2 It fits really well, actually.
Speaker 1
Oh, there it is. Also, like old.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 So.
Speaker 1 There's gadget.
Speaker 2
Yeah, it's pretty cool. One six.
So, I mean, yeah.
Speaker 2 UGC AI and then the fake and play
Speaker 1 type infringement. Like, it's like very subtle.
Speaker 2 Yeah,
Speaker 1 it's fine, and here is what, like, Diablo 4D Survivor, yeah, like 3D Survivor IO, yeah, pretty much
Speaker 2 Felix. You should you should know this, no? Do you still speak German?
Speaker 2 Oh, not that much, no, not that much anymore.
Speaker 1 Okay, Portuguese now, bro.
Speaker 2 Okay, sorry, I'm sorry, yeah, I forgot, totally forgot.
Speaker 1 What's this?
Speaker 1
That looks quite cool. Wow.
Does it? I mean, I don't know. This is some.
But it's LSD AI.
Speaker 1 Yeah.
Speaker 1 It's in France.
Speaker 1 It's in France.
Speaker 2 It's a little bit more colorful than it should be, but it's fine.
Speaker 1 Okay.
Speaker 1 Look, so it's all YouTube basically. So let's say if you go actual creative,
Speaker 1 as usual.
Speaker 2 If you go here, like you wanted to do,
Speaker 2 there is something,
Speaker 1 right?
Speaker 2
But apparently it's not as big, and there are some playables. They said I couldn't make ads without the dev team.
They said I couldn't understand the tech. Guess what?
Speaker 2 I just made a fully working, gorgeous top to play
Speaker 2 while eating noodles and watching trash TV and taking care of my daughter. All thanks to Playable Maker.
Speaker 2 No cold, no stress,
Speaker 2 no cheap share lock.
Speaker 1 But again, I mean,
Speaker 1 I'm not sure what they're doing.
Speaker 1 They have actually
Speaker 2
the first one. I mean, there's the videos.
I mean, there is something happening, but again, like, ooh,
Speaker 2 it's almost like it's Vitamayonk.
Speaker 1 Yeah.
Speaker 1 Ah, there you go.
Speaker 1 Yeah.
Speaker 1 So there, I mean,
Speaker 1 shall we do the comparison as last time? That could be pretty good. With who?
Speaker 1
Legend of Mushroom, Capybarago. Legend of Mushroom, the third spot.
Capybarago's fourth spot in the revenue chart last 30 days. Yeah, these guys are sixth, and then
Speaker 1 you can also put in FK Journey if you want.
Speaker 2 Nah, FK Journey is dead now.
Speaker 1 Oh, yeah, kind of.
Speaker 1 Literally that.
Speaker 2
Yeah, I mean, this is. No, no, no, wait a second.
This is up labin only, so you can all
Speaker 2 networks.
Speaker 1 Ah, okay. It's not that bad.
Speaker 2 It's not that bad, yeah. But Kai Barago is in the last 30 days definitely better in terms of the double the
Speaker 1 legend of mushroom even the revenue is near nearly the same
Speaker 1 yeah
Speaker 1 that's nice so i mean do you want to punch in the the the the the main game in chinese
Speaker 2 what
Speaker 1 uh
Speaker 2 yeah i know it this will be hard no no no no no no no no i'm not doing that anyway i mean like look it's a new game caparago is not a new game and legend of mushroom is also not a new game So, I mean, I'm pretty, I mean, this number, 3,500 creatives, is actually pretty decent.
Speaker 2 And I mean, even though I was trying to say, like, okay, we have AI, we have UGC stuff, like, they have so many of these.
Speaker 2 And even for Apple, we like the 100-something creatives for the Chinese company. That's
Speaker 2 pretty impressive, actually.
Speaker 1 Yeah.
Speaker 2 But
Speaker 2 for this type of
Speaker 1 category.
Speaker 1 Yeah. I mean,
Speaker 2 good luck. Good luck.
Speaker 1 But again, it's another one of those
Speaker 1
completely Asian-dominated genres. Yes, that's true.
Like long, long gone are the days of Idol Heroes, as you've seen there. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely.
That's true.
Speaker 1 Like, literally, another one of like whichever genre we come to, like, there was some giant Western game, and now, like, everything's Asian.
Speaker 1 Yeah,
Speaker 1 pretty much.
Speaker 1 But
Speaker 2 that's pretty much it, I would say. So, honestly, I was I thought I will see like five creatives.
Speaker 1
It's not all, it's not very good. Creatives are good.
Creatives are good. This is the game.
The game is very core,
Speaker 1 very Asian-themed to be exactly. It fits the
Speaker 2
Asian markets and the developers. Thank you very much for coming.
See you next time. Join the Slack channel.
Buy my e-book for soft launching, obviously.
Speaker 1 And that's it.
Speaker 1 Cheers. Bye-bye.
