But first, Ocho, in the game in Brazil, the charges take down the kansas city chiefs by the score of 27 21.
this is the reason what you saw tonight is that why justin herbert is held in such high regards 25 of 34 318 three touchdowns in the game ceiling drive in which he took off and run after chris jones and we saw the two guys getting it on the sideline tranquil said that's not your responsibility you got outside rush you tried to cross the guy's face you got washed down when you know there's nobody there's no support over there that's why he was going at chris jones that is not your responsibility to go inside if that guy starts up the middle and then gets outside ain't nothing you can do cj but that's why he and train kuill was getting it on the sideline on the sideline he's like do your job that's not your job do your job but the chiefs go on the road in brazil and they win a ball game 20 27 21.
it's been a long time since the chiefs have lost a one-score game yep but oh chill i saw some things tonight that I don't like of what I'm seeing with the Chiefs.
Offensively, I think they'll be okay.
They need to be able to run the football better.
I mean, they got, I mean, they can't run the football.
Those scrambles by Mahomes, come on, I can't count on Mahomes to give me 57 yards rushing a game, Ocho.
But watching this game, looking at the Chargers, they did win.
They took down the three-time defending AFC champs.
Yes.
And they did it in fine fashion.
What did you like about what you saw from the Chargers?
Listen, the first thing about the Chargers that I did like, I like what Justin Herbert did.
Listen, the game was a little sloppy in the beginning, Unk, but as the game went on, the Chargers offense played extremely well.
Again, another thing, my favorite receiver, one of my favorite receivers in the NFL is Ladarius McCunky.
Ladarius McCunky looked extremely well.
He's picking up exactly where he left off last year.
Yes.
The addition of Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston.
If we can get, if we can get Quentin Johnson to be a little bit more consistent, Unk, and
catching the ball and try to eliminate some of the drops that he had last year.
They are going to be all right because that defense, they were flying all over the place.
They made some great plays.
Derwin James with Derwin James.
Khalil Mack also contributed
in some important areas as well on certain down and distances.
And they look good.
I thought the Chiefs had an opportunity to come back.
I actually thought they were going to come back when they decided to go towards the end of the game and chose to allow Spags and that defense to take over from there.
But
it was a sloppy first half, but that's really good i'm watching i don't know what kelse was thinking on that drive route he watches uh what's derwin james yeah he does this yeah well a db i see a db does that he's telling me it's man coverage he's telling me they're locking it yeah yeah he tells me he does this and that's why my homes like what are you doing and he knew it at the end It's like, bro, you got to keep going.
That's what you call a drive, a shallow cross, but whatever the case may be.
he's in man coverage yeah all he got to do if he keeps running the ball's gonna hit him on the hands he turns up yeah touchdown now look we don't know i mean now you possibly maybe they're on sided they got their timeouts maybe they do what they did but if chris jones takes that same angle we're gonna get the same result we'll never know but there were some mistakes that were made that you can't have I mean, the first player of the game, you got two guys running, you got two guys running crossing route.
And somehow Kelsey picks his own guy.
It looks like he separated his shoulder or sprains his shoulder.
I'm like, damn.
How many times have you, oh Joe?
How many times have you run crossing route?
I've never, in 14 years of running crossing routes, I've run the shallow cross run to drive.
Well, I'm the picker.
And sometimes they're picking for me.
I've never collided with my own guy.
I mean, listen, it's all about, understand, it's all about spacing, knowing where your depth is supposed to be.
And if you have somebody pressing you, which I think, which might have been the problem, whoever was pressing either threw Kelsey off his route, either threw Kelsey off his line, which is why they ran into other.
But also, if it's man-to-man, you got to have your eyeline, you got to have your eyeline up in front to see what's in front of you, anyway.
So, I'm not sure, I'm not sure how that happened.
Oh, Joe, plus, the fact is it's already understood: one of you are high, the other is low.
One of you guys is three to five, the other guy, five to seven.
I don't know who's supposed to be high, I don't know who's supposed to be low.
You can see, you can see Xavier Worthy was low, so that means Kelsey was supposed to be five to seven.
I don't get it.
I don't know.
I don't, and like I said, I'm like, damn, God,
that's probably a precursor of things to come because, hold on, Ocho.
Now, how many times?
That's the first 15.
We done talked about that.
We had that and walked through.
We discussed it last night
before the game.
Hey, we talked about it.
Hey, everybody liked these plays coming out.
And damn, the first third down, this is what we get.
And you know what?
That's the funny thing.
When you talk about X's and Ozunk, the way it's written on paper, and coaches wanted to look a certain way, but they don't take into account when you have a defense out there, you have a person pushing and tugging you, certain things have to adjust.
So, Kelsey, if anything, if you got a man playing you, playing you man-to-man, go an extra yard, maybe go two, and that doesn't happen.
Hey, press me, and I'm supposed to be the low guy.
I run it in line of scrimmage.
I'll be behind the line of scrimmage.
Hey, the library will pick your ass off.
Oh,
Joe,
I'm not finna collide with my own guy.
I run it.
They were like, damn, you should have just took the ball out of John's hand.
I was like, well, hey,
hey, he was fighting, pushing, tugging.
And
I'm not going to let him throw the timing of the route off
by pressing me and causing me to
gain depth.
No, I already know I'm the low guy.
And so it might be a situation.
Look, I'm the low guy.
Yeah.
And I got a pick for the high guy.
Yes, sir.
Okay, it is what it is but the timing must be the timing ocho yeah but i'm not gonna run into my own guy
that's what i'm not gonna do i'm not running into my own guy now i might run into the other guy and they call me for an illegal pick but i'm not picking my own damn guy and hold on not only did you pick him he got hurt and as soon as
soon as you got hurt obviously when you're running that crosser like that unk and you're looking back at the quarterback your body's relaxed yes your body's relaxed so anything that hits especially that shoulder the first thing i said yeah that's either a grade two two or grade three AC sprain right away.
When he didn't come back in the game, because
oh, you, you good.
Grade one, you coming back in the game, but he missed the whole game after that.
I said, it got to be grade two or grade three.
Ocho, how much shoulder strength do you think he got?
He'll buck 60.
So think about that, Ocho.
He weighs 160 pounds.
Yes, sir.
He ain't got no shoulder gun.
And it doesn't take a whole lot to mess a shoulder up anyway, especially when you don't have the muscle development in that area.
Yeah, especially when you're not looking and your body
relaxed and just something hits you like that.
You ain't, because you don't get a chance to tense up.
Yes, bingo, bingo.
So a lot of a lot of times, if we know, oh, we're going across the middle, we're going to catch a pass.
Yeah.
I get a chance to brace.
But when I'm catching the pass and I'm relaxed, and I got
it hurts that much more.
Hell yeah.
People need to understand when they see certain hits like that, when you know it's coming, you're able to brace, it doesn't hurt.
No matter what, like it's the ones you don't see coming.
Yes.
Ready for it that get you the worst.
Yeah, I just look, they got up to a bad start.
Hollywood Brown had an opportunity to get a first down on the second, and he dropped it.
I don't, oh,
you talk about
on the
second drive of the game.
The stop route.
Well, the deepest.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
He took his ass off the ball.
He's trying to get up out of there before he.
All right.

How those ahead?
Stay ahead.
I really prided myself understanding how the game was going.
Okay, the first drive, Ocho, we got off the field in three plays.
Yes, sir.
The last thing I want to do is do another three and out.
So I might just catch the ball and just drop because the most important thing is to stay on the field so we can get timing as an offense.
Guys don't understand.
They still try, oh, let me bail up out of here.
Well, now you just went two three and outs.
And now you guess what?
You're going to be further out of rhythm because it's going to be longer before you get back on the field guys need to understand i saw thornton he's running he go look understand the angle in which the guy's coming down if he's coming down on a he ain't chasing you like this he's coming down at an angle like that so if you try to cut back he hits you even though you right there at the sticks your momentum you got no momentum to go forward you're going to go back
i'm like guys dude y'all y'all don't think y'all guys don't guys don't really think no more i ain't ain't no way you're thinking like you got to understand the angle in which he's coming if I get it, Ojo, he's coming like this.
I stop, cut back, go behind you.
But when he's coming down,
you stop.
You got no momentum.
His momentum is going to hit you and push you backwards.
Every time.
If anything, especially in that situation, you got to know as a receiver or a tight end, anybody catching the ball in that situation, it's third down.
Yes.
It's third down.
You just catch that and turn straight up field.
I'm talking about right away.
Leadership will play another down instead of allowing it to be four down and it being a 50-50 chance on whether y'all get it or not to keep that drive going
i think the thing is sometimes ocho is that
guys that they don't really think about that i'm thinking every every play is not meant to be a big play every play is not meant to be a touchdown you have to understand momentum.
You have to understand where you are in the game, time of the game, what's it been like, because there are a lot of times that maybe, because sometimes you got to do stuff suddenly to get up out of there.
suddenly means taking your eyes off the taking your eyes off the ball and try to locate the guy because a lot of times I mean you I mean I've seen myself I'm doing this ocho I'm hey the ball should be right there and I've got I'm seeing where everybody's coming because I want to do something yeah
well you can't do anything without the ball no not not at all but
it was things like that but ocho they're gonna have to run they're gonna have Kansas City is going to have to do more of a concerted effort to run the football.
I got a question.
I'm glad you just said that.
When you think about the Kansas City Chiefs, right?
As
Pacheco has been in the past, when have the Chiefs actually ever had a running game, though?
When have you actually watched the Chiefs play and been like, you know what?
We got to worry about the running game.
You remember when they had Kareem Hunt?
Oh, before he left, the first time.
Yes.
Yes.
But you know who else they had?
But the Chiefs used to have a night.
Well, they hadn't had so much of a running game
with Andy because I don't think Jamal Charles was there with Andy.
I think Jamal Charles was there.
I don't remember, but they got to run the football.
They put a lot of pressure.
And the thing was, tonight, defensively, they couldn't get pressure on Herbert unless they blitzed.
Tranquil got him twice.
Coloptas got him early in the game when he tried to climb up in the pocket and
Coloptas fell back inside and got him.
But they couldn't get pressure generating four.
So now, and it seems like when they bring pressure, it's like, guys,
Nick, is it Hicks?
What number?
27.
Is it Hicks?
Hold on.
Because I know he made a bunch of, yeah, Hicks.
Bro,
bro,
you got to be better.
Yeah.
You got to be better.
You got to be better.
The guy is screaming at you.
You got
no help to the seven.
And you turn like he's going to run a post.
And Jocelyn crosses your face.
Hey, hey, Unc, it's scary on that island like that.
You know that, huh?
It's scary on that island.
You know, the first most of the time when you're in a situation like that, you're going for the first move.
You're going for the first move because you got to understand the speed of the game.
Us watching is different.
Out there actually playing it and you ain't got no help.
So whatever, whatever you see first, you getting up out of there.
You You're getting up out of there right away.
The thing is,
if he ran, if he did something different
on tape,
okay, so what is he showing us on tape?
Because that's all I can base it on, Ocho.
Right.
That's all I can base it on.
They give us something different.
I'm going to come to the sideline, Coach.
This is what they did.
I know what we practiced.
I know what we went over.
I know what they showed.
This is what they showed us on tape.
This is what we said we were going to do against them on tape.
This is what they're doing.
Okay, fine.
So that's what we're going to have.
That's what we don't know, Ocho.
We don't know.
But
they run the inside because all it's going to,
they run the high low.
So basically, you got McConkey.
He studied.
He gets to the flat right now.
Now, Keenan Allen, he goes to the high seven.
One of two things is going to have to happen.
Either you're going to have to pass that off.
by McDuffie
retreating because he's up on Lab McConkey.
Yeah.
Because that's all I'm trying to do.
I'm just trying to hold.
I'm just trying to hold the outside guy because
you got me and you're playing inside leverage.
So you got, you got, you cannot stop the seven route.
You cannot stop the flag.
You can't because you're playing inside leverage.
So you've already given me the outside.
The only way you can stop it, the only way you stop that route, Ocho, is that McDuffie falls off.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But then, and then I've heard it.
And then I'm going to throw the ball.
I'm going to throw the ball.
So you got to really time.
You got to say, you know what?
I believe he's going to throw this seven ball and I just fall right now.
But if he throws it, if he throws it to the flat, that's going to be a first down.
Or if anything, I'm just saying, obviously, I don't play DB and obviously you have to stay within the scheme of the way
he does things.
What I would do, I would communicate.
I would communicate before when I see that, when I see that tendency, when I see that formation,
I know what they are and I know what's coming.
We got that poster.
We got that flat coming right.
I'm going to tell the safety, man.
Listen, I'm going to jump lab right now.
The seven coming behind me go ahead and cheat it
go ahead go ahead go ahead you know what i'm passing off ojo say this is how we're gonna do it yeah hicks
you take the flat i'm gonna safe now i got a safety in the hole because if he runs the post the safety is there yeah the only thing that i'm weak against is the backside pot the back pylon yeah so now mcduffy is gonna have to retreat right away now Hicks got to go to the flat right now.
He's got to go.
He's got to take the flat right now.
Right now.
Yeah.
He got to come down.
Right right now that's the that is the only way you can stop that route because you got two one's running like a little stick what they call a a a a stick route and the other is running a seven route or sell route you can't stop it yeah because if you play a man he's gonna like and mccockie is gonna is gonna occupy mcduffee right away hicks is playing inside leverage so anything that i run to the outside i'm I'm free and clear.
You can't stop it.
The funny thing about it is you can't stop it, but I'm thinking and knowing it's coming as a safety.
I don't even know if he has the freedom to do this because when they turn that film on, they're going to want you inside leverage.
Yes.
At what, what, nine, what, maybe nine to ten?
The safety?
Yeah.
Not maybe.
Well, safety.
It looked like it was man coverage.
So they probably just had single high safety.
So he's in the hole.
Oh, down.
Yeah.
No, no, no.
He's in the hole.
He's looking for, you know,
maybe, maybe, maybe if it's a crossing route, he's going to jump it.
But he's in the whole, there's really nothing he can do.
Right.
So now, because Hicks is playing on, he's playing inside leverage, because you know why, Ocho, I got to worry about the shallow cross.
Right.
If you rub the,
if I jump outside, he rubs the shallow cross.
I'm dead.
I'm in ish for shape.
Yes.
Yeah, I'm dead.
So now I'm inside leverage.
Now I'm worried.
I ain't worried about him beating me across my face.
But what I've done is that I've given him a free release to the back pylon.
Yeah.
And
listen, that's unfortunate.
That's unfortunate because obviously, what you're doing is you're giving them one get a one-way go, you're trying to stay the inside, but now you're vulnerable to the outside, correct?
And if he if he sticks you to the inside, you're really done because you're gonna go for the first move, correct?
Yep, so uh, you know, give them credit, but I thought the Chargers played really well.
They're gonna be they're gonna be tough.
Uh, uh, Herbert threw the ball extremely well tonight.
Um, we look, he has philical, he has physical twos, a big kid, 6'5,
230, 240, mobile.
He's mobile.
You see the athleticism.
I mean, he's shown the athleticism.
We watched him in the, what's that, the Rose Bowl, I think his final year.
And he did what he did.
I didn't know he had that kind of athleticism.
And he doesn't show it a whole lot, but he got better.
He's above.
He's an above average athlete.
So, which tells me he can get out of harm's way if he needs to.
We know the arm, we know the arm talent.
We can't deny that.
You can say he ain't won nothing, but we can't deny the arm talent.
And the thing is, Ocho, there are two things that play here.
Two things can be true.
You could be a generational talent and not a generational player.
You could be a generational player without generational talent.
See, I think sometimes you like, you got to have both.
No, you don't.
No, you don't.
No, you don't.
Yeah, I like that.
And Brady and Manning might not be generational talent,
but you can't argue they're generational players.
Right.
Right.
So
the things that we can see, what we measure, Ocho, man, look at his arm strength.
Man, look how big he is.
Man, look how fast he is, Ocho.
Look how athletic he is.
Okay, those are things that we can see.
But we've seen guys that had tremendous God-gifted ability.
Yes, sir.
not turn out to be generational players or not be even good players or great players.
So two things can be true.
You can be a generational talent and not a generational player you can be a generational player without generational talent right
and uh but you look at
build a quarterback
you're gonna look at
golly
the dude 6'4 6'5 235 240.
yeah
bro he could throw the bro he throw the out he throw the dig he throw the comeback he can throw the over he could throw the seven.
He can throw the bang.
Oh, he can throw the shake.
He can throw the.
Hold on.
He can get out of harm's way.
He can throw the ball on the move.
Yeah.
Left, right.
Oh, my goodness.
What is there not to like about it?
Right.
So.
Listen, what we saw from Herbert the night, Donka is what we've seen since he's gotten in the league.
Yeah.
The problem with him, he puts up big numbers.
Touchdowns, yards, he does that.
The problem is the turnovers and decision-making when it matters most.
And
that's when we get to
playoffs.
But he needs to do this in a playoff game.
And that's the hard part because the playoff game is nothing like a week one.
It's nothing like a week one.
That's the difference.
It is different.
When there is finality.
Because guess what?
Whoever lost this game, guess what, Ocho?
They got 16 more.
Whoever won this game, they got 16 more.
But come playoff time, it ain't the best of five.
It's not the best of seven.
Every game in the NFL is a game seven.
So if you think game seven or the NBA Finals or the NBA playoffs or the MLB playoffs or hockey playoffs, you think that's something?
That's what an NFL player goes through every playoff game.
It is a game seven.
Yeah.
There is no tomorrow.
Yeah.
You know what's funny?
It's only three game sevens, too.
It's only three game sevens to the big dance unless you got a week one.
Yeah.
It's a, it's uh
it was like i said ocho i i
i kind of wanted kansas city to score to see how they were going to play it maybe they do the same thing ocho right maybe they kick the ball deep they got their timeout they got the two-minute warning they try to hold them
maybe the own side we we won't ever know because you know they didn't get an opportunity defense didn't get off the field uh but i think we we we uh
the chargers deserve credit yeah um i thought mahomes Mahomes, once he got it going, I mean, he had to be.
I mean, come on, Ocho, the man's parallel to the guy, and he throws it over his head, and Juju catches it.
I mean, you, if when you go back and look at it, Ocho, think about it: Juju,
the Steelers moved on, yeah, the cheat, uh, uh, uh, the Patriots moved on, yeah, Taequan Thornton ran 4-2 at the combine, the Patriots says, nah,
uh, uh, Kareem Hunt is a comeback, came back.
Hollywood Brown,
the Ravens traded him.
The Cardinals said, nah, we good.
I mean, think about it.
It's hard, Ocho, to keep winning with castoffs.
And look, they're okay players, but
it is what it is, Ocho.
Somebody said, you know what?
We good.
We're better without you.
Listen,
you also have to understand there's always somebody else coming behind you that wants your job.
There are also other people that come behind you that take your job where they fit the system better.
They just fit the system better.
So for Mahomes, Mahomes is a tier one quarterback.
He's one where the people around him don't matter.
I view Patrick Mahomes the same way I view Tom Brady when he was with the New England Patriots.
The pieces to the puzzle with the Patriots offensively, they changed differently every year.
Every year there was somebody else plug in and play, plug in and play, but nothing changed.
They remain consistent offensively.
Why?
Because that centerpiece, that one piece that matched,
that was 12.
So I really view the Kansas City Chiefs that way.
Tyreek Hill is gone.
Since Tyreek Hill, it's been a multitude of different players, different receivers, and they haven't missed a beat.
They haven't missed a beat.
And even though they didn't play up the par tonight in week one, Andy Reed is going to figure it out.
I'm more concerned with the defense.
You think so?
Already, Spagho had him boys on point.
Because
they couldn't get pressure.
Without bringing pressure, they They couldn't get pressure and now now if I bring pressure What must I do?
I must sacrifice my back end because that's what single high somewhere somewhere on the back end I got I gotta I gotta sacrifice something Ocho right if I make X amount of dollars Something's not gonna get paid this month
Yeah, I'm just saying Ocho, what's not gonna get paid?
Hey, the
cell phone bill Yeah, the cable bill, light bill, gas bill, but something because I only have X amount of dollars.
I only have so much money to stretch.
I can only stretch it so far.
Right.
So, as my grandma said, I'll send you a little piece of something, son.
Hey, that's all I got.
Um,
I like CJ more on the inside at the shade as I do on the outside.
On to the nine technique, but because he doesn't have he doesn't have an advantage out there.
His quickness, he he's he's extremely quick for a guard, but he's not not quick for an end
so he doesn't gain he doesn't gain an advantage yep but now you now there there are some guys that he might be able to beat but when he's in that when he's in that shade when he's in that under he's that three tech
that's why i like that's where i like cj
i i i think you know what i i i like that that he does do it because you can never know where he's going to be You have to account for him.
You have to account for him.
And it's confusing to the offensive lineman because you always have to, when you come to the line before the snap you always got to see where is 95 at let's identify 95.
i think that's why you move him move him so much because he's able to do so much more and he doesn't have to deal with that double team all the damn time well
i like it more on a five or or a seven as opposed to a nine now they wanted to get him wide because they want to get him on the edges right and they don't want to chip but he doesn't get
If he's playing if he's playing against like Alt did a great job of neutralizing, but you got to realize those guys out there are really athletic.
The advantage that you have is that when you don't have the athleticism, they normally bump you down inside to the guard.
Those tackles are really athletic.
Those are guys that were tight ends that played a lot of other positions.
Right, right, right.
When they were smaller, they weren't always that size.
And they probably played, maybe they were a tight end, or maybe they were, you know,
a basketball player at one point in time that just grew out of that.
But
I think Kansas City's offense is going to be fine.
I'm sure Andy will find a way to get up out of this.
But the AFC West has gotten better.
Denver is better.
The Chargers are better.
We'll see what the rate is going to be.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Slow down, slow down, slow down.
You don't know if the Broncos have gotten better because they haven't played week one yet.
The Broncos have gotten better.
It's hard for me to see a scenario based on
Sean Payton.
Sean Payton quarterbacks don't normally regress.
Right.
They don't.
Now, it could happen, have a side, but he's not a guy that's going to let you regress because he's going to ride you.
Sean Payton is an old school guy.
He learned on the part sales.
Yeah.
And they ride you.
I have a question.
Yes.
Who do the Denver Broncos play week one?
The Titans?
Yeah, I didn't hear.
Yeah, they played.
They play the Titans and
play the Titans in Mile high hey boy i don't know calvin ridley and cam ward calvin ridley and cam ward they it's hard to get the ball it's hard to throw the ball when you're on your back the broncos led the league in sacks last year
wait what year was that last year yes 2025 dog but see but you told me cat you say uh you said new england you told me uh philly had nothing to worry about same personnel that what you told me Well, actually, I said defensively they had something to worry about because they let Slag go.
They let Slay go and they let, I forgot the young bull that played dv well what about what about the guy that was calling the plays
oh that's right hey
hey um i guarantee you i don't know who the eagles play next oh they play the chiefs yes i played
i guarantee the first the first 15 you know the first 15 plays are scripted yeah i guarantee you i guarantee you three of those plays are specifically for aj brown
I guarantee you the first play going right to him because that's
that's ridiculous even though they won the game even though they won the game you can't do your star player like that you can't you just can't I'm looking at Justin Herbert and they're like okay we can throw the ball
yeah
well I mean A.J.
Brown is better than Quentin Johnson let me tell you why they can throw the ball as well did you see O'Marion Hampton yeah you see
okay rookie I mean look look he not look they they ran the ball 25 times for 90 yards that's nothing that that ain't
Look, that's less than four yards of carry.
That's a good balance, though.
It's a good balance.
But here's the thing, Ocho.
If you can't pressure without, if you couldn't get pressure with the Chargers' offensive line, what makes you think you'll get pressure with the Eagles' offensive line?
They got the two number one rated tackles in football.
Yeah, you're right.
Now.
You bring pressure.
You open up your back end.
I think their back end is weak.
I don't think the Kansas City Chiefs secondary is like, oh my God, we can't do it.
Hey, hold on.
But
the Kansas City secondary normally play two shell in cover two or 55.
One or the other.
So
everything, most of the time, your success is going to have to come from the run game and force them to drop a safety down,
which they had to do when they played the Eagles in the Super Bowl.
to make sure Saquon Barkley is not beating us.
They did something they don't normally do.
Outside of that, two-shell, bump and run on the outside, throw off the timing, and whoever's in the slot, or number three, or tight end, you got the win.
Yeah, the win because that's what a one-on-one is.
So
it's going to be interesting to see.
You know, that's a big game next week, obviously.
Chiefs, I mean, when was the last time the Chiefs started 0-2?
I don't think they started 0-2 in the Mahomes era.
No,
probably not.
Absolutely not.
That's going to be a good game.
No, that's going to be a very, very good game.
Rematch of the Super Bowl, that's going to be a nice one.
2014.
They hadn't lost two.
They hadn't started the season 0-2 since 2014.
Ocho, the Kansas City Chiefs entered tonight with an incredible 17-game win streak in one score games regular season and postseason.
That streak dating back to Christmas Day 2023 against the Raiders is now over.
Look, when you have that guy, you have a chance.
That's how you feel when you have a legendary great quarterback.
When you had a Brady, you have a Mahomes, you have a Peyton Manning, you have a Brees or Montana or John Elway.
You always feel if we can keep it close, they'll make a play in the end that'll win the game for us.
We trust them.
We just need to keep it close.
We need to get it close or keep it close, whatever the case may be, and then they'll make a play for us.
Give them credit, and that's what happens when you have a because a lot of things need to go right for you.
Defense need to get the ball back for you.
So, three and out, take the ball away, and then Mahomes and that offense need to do what they've done 17 times before tonight, which is find a way to get in field goal range or to win the game with a touchdown.
So,
I just, that's a long way to return home after L.
Yeah, it is.
It is
either way for us, for the fans, for the football fans, for me, I'm not sure if you enjoyed it, but I enjoyed it.
I enjoyed the game.
Now, the first half was a little sloppy, a little flashes, a little play here, a little play there, but
I enjoyed that second half.
I really, really, really, really like Lad McConkey.
Excuse me, Ladarius McConkey.
And considering Justin Herbert in last year's playoff game, he had four interceptions.
He couldn't have picked a better way to start the season,
a 300-in-3 TD game.
Well,
there's no question this is our talent.
He has above-average athleticism.
The only thing is, okay, come playoff time, bro.
We need something like this.
Right.
Yeah.
I'm not saying you got to give us
three and three, 300 yards pass and three touchdowns, but you can't give us four INTs either.
Yeah.
There ain't a whole lot of defenses that could overcome that kind of poor performance from their quarterback.
Go ahead, Ocho, you want to say something?
I said, one thing they're going to do is they're going to drop back and throw that ball.
They're going to drop back and throw that ball over there in L.A.
All right.

Yeah, they should.
Oh, Joe, Michael Parsons took a veiled dig at his former cowboy teammates while praising the Packers.
I tell you, you, I've never been in a locker room with guys like this.
I came in Tuesday for treatment and I saw almost every guy in the locker room.
This is the first time I've ever seen this.
That shows just how much these guys want to be here.
They want to be around each other and hang out.
I think that's important.
And when you're around guys like that, it makes it exciting to come to work.
I mean, is he really taking a shot at his other teammates or the fact that everyone's in the training room or maybe just nobody was hurt while they were in Dallas?
He said he came in for treatment, and guys with the locker room.
He didn't say nobody came in for treatment.
He said he was getting treatment.
He said guys were in the locker room.
Locker room.
Okay, okay, okay, okay.
I like it.
I like it.
But I mean, the way he make it sound, he make it sound like when he came to Dallas to the Cowboys' locker room to come get treatment, ain't nobody in the locker room.
Duh, is that what you took it?
Because that's what he meant.
Yeah.
He said, guys like coming to work.
Guys like being around each other.
That's how he meant it, Ocho.
You say you took it like when he got treatment in dallas with nobody locker that's exactly how he meant it that's that that's messed up that's messed up
i need i need micah to take the high road i need micah to take the high road and don't say nothing say you ain't say that to jerry when jerry was salting me up exactly i don't don't don't stoop jerry's level don't stoop
hey you know me i'm i'm 1000 with you you know i won't i want Uno, since he wear number one that, I want him to wait, don't do no talking, and do all the talking week four.
Do all the talking week four with your plate.
Yeah, he's better than me.
You know what I would have did?
What?
I would have had
a shirt.
I would have had a shirt underneath my jersey, right?
And every time I sack, every time I sack that, I'm lifted up.
That thing will say, How you like that, Jerry?
Every time.
Straight to camera.
I think
I agree with you, Ocho.
I left Denver.
I have nothing bad to say.
I spent 10 years there.
It was great.
Move on.
Spent two years in Baltimore.
Got nothing to say.
Go back.
It's just.
Yeah.
You know,
I don't like that.
When you're in a place that you played for, that you like, that paid you, that gave you an opportunity.
I don't like when you leave a certain place and all of a sudden now you have something bad to say about said place.
That's like you're dealing with somebody, you're dating somebody for a while, and you have great memories.
Obviously, sometimes you have bad memories, but why not remember the good?
Why not remember the good?
I'm a firm believer in that.
Just because you two may not be together anymore, a la
Cowboys and Michael Parsons, it's no need to remember the bad.
Just remember the good and then
leave and go on with grace.
It's easy.
For some reason,
that's just the way
the mind is wired.
Yeah, yeah.
Ocho,
you sign a thousand autographs.
The one you don't sign.
Oh, yeah.
Ocho's an asshole.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's men.
That's it.
That's all.
So, what was this?
Where is this quote at?
I mean, did he say anything else?
Hey,
I think I might go to that game.
Cowboys, Packers.
It depends on where if it's in Dallas, that's a two-hour flight from Miami.
If it's all the way in Green Bay or Wisconsin, that's a little too far.
I think that's a little too far.
But if it's in Dallas, I'm going to go.
Yeah, it's going to be in Dallas.
But my thing is, Micah,
if you wanted camaraderie, if you wanted to build a better team, you're one of the leaders.
Invite the guys over to your house.
i'm just saying i'm just saying guys that if you're trying to build that
you can build it hey guys you know my mom's gonna cook hey we got a barbecue
i'm gonna have some i'm gonna have somebody cook some put some steaks put something on the grill hey man let's come over hey let's go bowling let's go that's what we did we went both i mean hey tuesday lojo our day off uh uh uh uh we might go bowling or we might go to the movies or we go over to somebody's house and gamble yeah that's what we did we we we really truly truly enjoyed being around each other.
It's so funny that you just mentioned that and saying that is something you should have done if you wanted to have a team bonding moment, especially by position or by defense.
Yes.
Yesterday, I sat with all the entire defensive line for the Bengals.
In fact, Trey Henderson, Shamar Stewart, BJ Hill.
uh i don't know all the rest of the boys name man it was about maybe maybe 12 13 13 14 of them
right here by the stadium at a place called e o And I sat with them boys for about, you know, five, ten minutes.
Hey, and it's so funny, honk.
I've been out the game for so long.
You know how you're used to seeing people 6'6, 6'5, 6'7.
I'm looking at these dudes like, man, what the hell?
But y'all big as hell.
And I want you, I go to myself, like, did I play this?
I played this game exactly.
And I'm looking like, have I been going that long where I'm looking like, well, is everybody this size?
Yeah,
I've been going too long man i've been going too long
they had the nerve to ask me to pay for the bill they had it huh
jamar stewart just got paid tray henderson they just gave you a 14 million dollar raise last week what you talk man stop playing
for us i just believe
in micah case if you want to build that if you want to foster that type of environment as a leader you can do it.
Hey, guys, let's come over.
Let's come over.
Ray used to have the defense come over, and they go over plays.
Guys, we went there.
It was offense, defense.
Hey, man, hey, let's go get something to eat.
We go after workout.
Let's just say it's OTAs.
After workout, it'd be about 15 of us.
We go out to eat, go get something to eat.
Hey, man, man, what you doing, man?
Hey, let's go bowling.
Hey, we go bowling.
Hey, man, what y'all doing?
Man, hey, let's go to the movie.
Man,
it'd be about 15, 20 in the movie, Locho.
And guess what?
20 minutes into the movie,
everybody sleep?
Everybody sleep.
Hey,
somebody wake up.
Hey, man, man, you got no more popcorn and milk?
That's, you know, when you think about it, too, especially today's generation, today's generation, today's era of players, getting them to do stuff, getting them to do stuff as one.
might be difficult especially in dallas when there's too goddamn much to do it's too much to do
Yeah.
You're right.
I mean,
I think the thing is now there was really no internet.
Guys still play video games and guys took their PS2s or
PlayStation and stuff on the road and they played video games.
But
I'm telling you, we were close.
In Denver, we were extremely close.
I'm saying we might be done with practice at three.
And by the time we got done with meetings, it was four.
We might not leave the building until six, seven o'clock.
I mean, we got guys be like, man, y'all don't get me divorced.
See, Sharp ain't got nobody to go hold to, but I got wife and kids.
And they're going to be going to be, hey, babe, I'm on my way.
We had a meeting.
No, he didn't.
He playing cards.
Hey, Letha, Letha, he rolling that.
That was Atwater's wife.
Hey, Lethal, he rolling dice.
He ain't have no extra meetings.
Hey, that's funny, man.
But Ocho, we were really, and that's my thing.
Micah, if you wanted that type of environment as a leader, you can do it.
As the best player, they're going to follow you.
Now, here's the thing: now
they see,
they see what you do.
Now, you can't be, you can't be saying, okay, we're going to do this.
But
as one of the best players, if that's the type of environment that you want to foster,
you build it.
You got to lay a foundation.
You do that.
So that's something they learned.
I mean, it's like, oh, you're like when you go to high school, you go to a new high school, you go to high school from junior high, you follow everybody to see where the cafeteria is.
Yeah.
So this is something that's been passed down in Green Bay.
This is kind of what they do.
So,
like I said,
hopefully everything worked, everything, everything works itself out with Michael.
Michael has found his way.
It's tough, OJo.
It's tough because, you know, basically they said, and they said, well, we got better.
We got better without Micah.
Right.
You never want to think somebody's gotten better without you.
Micah also had some shade for the Lions.
I never liked Detroit.
I never liked them.
Even when I was in Dallas, he also said trick plays is a scare tactic.
Trick plays, trick plays are for people who can't beat you straight up.
You know, I'm trying to win the game.
I'm trying to win.
I don't care how I beat you.
It's like a guy running around the ring and trying to jab.
Meet me in the middle.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
my job is to win while taking as little possible punishment as possible yeah
that's what guys that's what guys who do trick plays do they can't beat your head up they want you to come out and out physical you no they want to uh they don't want to be dominant it's a scary tactic uh i guess but i can beat you any which way well you're gonna get your opportunity You'll get your opportunity if
you play on Sunday.
Oh, he, man, you know, he playing.
You know he playing Sunday.
He's absolutely playing Sunday.
And the funny thing about it, you talk about Detroit and their trick plays and what Ben Johnson used to do with the creativity.
Well, you don't remember the Chiefs?
You don't remember the Chiefs with all those trick plays they had?
The ring around the Rosie.
My favorite was when the whole huddle was going in the circle.
Oh, man.
I was like, man.
I like Detroit's trick plays.
They be throwing back shoulder fades to tackles.
They be running screen pads to Pide Sewe.
I mean, hey, I love.
Last year, Detroit beat the Cowboys 47-9.
nine
damn you don't get no 47 points on on on trick plays
that's a good old-fashioned ass whipping there absolutely now i don't think micah i don't think micah played uh
he didn't play okay but uh look look micah that's like saying well if that's the case y'all shouldn't blitz because the blitz is a trick yeah that means you can't get to the quarterback with your four so you got to bring an extra one or two that's a good one or you got or or you got to run a
or you got to run a text.
Yeah.
Tackle in twist.
You got to run, you know, you got saying something like, so you got to do that.
I mean, so the offense does something.
The defense also gets an opportunity to do it.
So you can't say, oh, well, they blitz because they can't take a straight up.
They four can't.
Bro, I'm trying to win the game.
I'm not really listening to you, Michael.
I'm really not.
I'm really not.
But like I said, the only thing I say, Micah, if you wanted that type of environment in Dallas, you can create it.
Yeah.
Because you listen at the documentary.
Listen to how Micah,
Mike, Emmett, Haley, look how they talk.
Yeah.
Now, granted, I mean, some of the stuff, you know, hey,
the stuff that Mike had going, some of the stuff that the White House and the hotels, okay.
But they talked about how close they were as a team.
Team, yeah.
And they were.
were and i'm telling you how close we were as a team in denver now we had our core guys uh that that did stuff that you know we would go to ray's house or we would go out we'd go out uh on a night like a monday night or something like that knowing that we had tuesday off or you know thursday night or something like that watch the game uh ray's mama with buffy would cook yeah but we we were close but we had it was our group me, Sug, Corey, Woody, and sometimes Jamal.
Sometimes we let Jamal tag along, even though he was a rookie.
We let him tag along.
But for the most part, what's Corey, Fuller?
Corey Harris.
Oh, Corey, okay, okay, okay, okay.
No, Fuller wasn't there when I was there.
Oh, no, okay.
No, no, no, Corey Harris.
And so, you know, but we, we, we, you know, we did, we did things together.
You know, we went out together, you know, we, you know, offseason, we go to Vegas or we go to the NBA All-Star weekend.
We did things together.
But in Denver, it was really like 15.
We go to Vegas, it'd be about eight, 12 of us by week.
So we have, you know, we had the home field advantage.
We're going to Vegas.
Right.
Yeah.
Or we, hey, man, what y'all doing?
Man, I don't know, man.
I'm thinking about going home.
Man, let's go to Vegas.
Like, damn, man, I really need to get home, man.
I ain't been, man, come on.
All right.
We going to Vegas.
I like that.
I like that.
I like that.
Yeah,
I like that.
I'm like, look, bro,
all I got in Vegas, I got like two days.
I got Friday night, Saturday night.
I want to get there, you know, get me a nap in.
We go gamble.
We go out, come in, I get me a workout in Saturday morning, take me another nap, gamble.
We go out.
I'm coming back to get my bags.
I'm going to the airport.
I'm going home.
Oh, yeah.
Hey, speaking.
Matter of fact, you just triggered something in my head.
I got the call today about Vegas.
I appreciate that.
Yeah.
You know how much I love that sport.
I appreciate that.
I don't know if I can say anything yet, so I'll wait until we get there.
We'll make that announcement next week.
Hey, thank you.
Thank you.
Yeah.
Wait, we're working over here.
Hey,
thank you.
Hey, matter of fact, that name you just said about three times,
you fixed that?
Y'all, you fixed that?
Ain't nothing need to be fixed, don't you?
You ain't even?
No, we good.
Damn.
We good, don't you?
Okay.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, we good.
We good.
Yeah, we always going to be good.
Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
Appreciate that.
Jerry Jones was asked if the Cowboys lost to the Eagles last night if his team missed Micah.
Jerry, well, anytime you have a great player, you don't have him out there on the field.
But I was specifically watching some guys who could pick up the slack.
Number 54, Sam Williams, had some really significant impact.
Ojo, do you believe Jerry will ultimately regret trading Micah Parsons?
Yeah, I believe so.
I believe so, because you talk about some of the players that could make an impact, but you don't have an impact player similar to that of Michael Parsons.
You don't have that nowhere.
I know you brought Kenny Clark in.
Kenny Clark plays
over the nose, over the tackle, and that's pretty much it.
He's more of a run stuffer.
He's more of a run stuffer, yes.
Now, I'm not sure what the defense of the ends are going to be able to do that they have now, but what we saw with Jalen Hurst being able to escape the pocket because people weren't disciplined and staying within their lanes, Michael Parson is running some of those down.
He's running some of those down.
Oh, yeah, for sure.
So, I mean,
it's still too early to say, but I really do think letting a talent like Michael Parsons go, understanding how disruptive he is as a player based on down and distance, especially when it's time to pin those ears back and you can just go and play free.
Yeah,
you can't replace that.
You can't replace that.
Well, the question is, Jerry,
do you regret
waiving Demarcus Ware?
Because all he did was go become an all-pro, go to a Pro Bowl player, and help lead a Denver defense that ended up winning a Super Bowl.
That happened.
Yeah.
You let Larry Allen go.
Larry Allen was still an all-pro.
We go to San Francisco and go to Pro Bowl.
He was still that good.
I think sometimes, Ocho, you know,
when you've made a mistake, you hate making a mistake.
Right.
But you hate admitting it,
especially publicly.
You might like, damn, I shouldn't have done that.
But it's okay.
He won't say that.
That's not his DNA.
To say that I actually made a mistake about letting a player go?
Absolutely not.
No,
I don't believe he'll say that either.
But look,
I don't think the defense played bad, but the question is, can they generate pressure
without bringing pressure?
Because
you're sacrificing your back end.
There ain't a whole lot of back ends that can hold up.
So you're going to have to find a way to generate pressure.
When the Cowboys were at their best, Michael was pinning their ears back, and Diggs was getting picked sixes, and Deron Bland was getting picked sixes.
Listen, you can sit on stuff.
You can take gambles.
Correct.
Because you know the ball's got to come out.
It got to come out.
It got to come out.
out no it's all about when you play the guessing game as a deepens of back
you can cheat it because you know the ball got to come out
